"people really overblow how Eternalism is used as a storytelling device"
OHMYGOD RANDOM REDDIT USER I LOVE YOU, FINALLY I FOUND SOMEONE WHO GETS IT
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Also this comes from a thread how it's "impossible" to explain Warframe's lore without making someone's head explode.
And it literally isn't. If you tell it chronologically it's not that convoluted at all. The worst part is the Operator/Drifter split but like... that's it.

i think a big problem with modern batfam comics is that they have so many characters that kinda just overlap- here’s my ideas for how to give each of them their own “niche” to make them unique. Some of this is canon or alluded to is some way- but a lot is just what i think makes sense for each character.
Bruce Wayne
Bruce retires, it’s the only way to give all his kids / kid adjacents their own chance to shine. i’m sure he grumbles about it and watches from the bat cave obsessively, but i’m the end he’s learned to trust the batfam and lets them take care of things.
Dick Grayson
I actually really like where Dick is at in comics right now, i mean it’s not perfect- but I like the idea of Nightwing being a “better” version of Batman for Blüdhaven. He leads the Titans, which are now on par pedigree wise with the Justice League, and as Dick Grayson he is an active member of the community in Blüdhaven, trying to use all his resources to help people. So basically not much changes here.
Barbara Gordon
This one’s easy, just make her Oracle all the time- in the most bad dads way possible. Give me paralyzed Barbara Gordon who has eyes and ears all over the world and is the center of ALL super hero activity. She leads the Birds of Prey, she’s in the ears of all the bats, she’s IT for the Justice League- she does all of it.
Jason Todd
I liked Jason’s character best when he serves as an antagonist. Jason goes back to being a crime lord, and we bring back his ideals of trying to control the crime as opposed to trying to stop it. Jason has good intentions, but he lacks the idealism of the other bats who are constantly trying to save the city without compromising any morals. I think that Jason often butts heads with Tim and Cass (mostly Cass due to her very strict no killing rule) but is mostly left alone by Steph and Damian, who are more willing to accept his methods even if they don’t love them.
Tim Drake
Tim should travel the world “conspiracy hunting,” kind of like how he took down the League of Assassins, except he probably chills out on the blowing up bases all around the world that might (definitely) have people inside. Tim is supposed to be the best detective of the Robins, so lean into that- I want globe trotting - mentally unwell - detective stories where Tim fights big secret organizations or takes down corrupt governments. He is also still apart of Young Justice, though they are all a bit older and are a less official group, the core four are still close and work together- they help keep Tim grounded and remember that he doesn’t have to do everything alone.
Stephanie Brown
I think Stephanie kind of separates herself from the batfamily after her time as Batgirl. I don’t mean that she give up fighting crime, or even gives up wearing the bat symbol, I just mean that she becomes a mostly solo act. Steph becomes Gothams main hero, she does normal vigilante stuff, patrolling the streets, saving the city, detective work, the typical bat stuff. But she’s far more connected to the people of Gotham than Batman ever was, stopping and talking to kids, handing out blankets to the homeless, doing cool flips and batarang trick shots for civilians passing by. Eventually she is the hero most Gothamites associate with their city, and she represents the good parts of Gotham- giving the people hope that they aren’t doomed to be consumed by the city, but that they will be stronger because of it. I also think that things are kinda awkward between her and the bats (except for Dick, Damian, and Barbara) and she tries to keep her distance a bit, considering she was kinda treated like shit as Spoiler and i think Steph deserves to be bitter about that, for a little bit at least.
Cass
Cass becomes Batman, but she operates globally. She’s not like early-Bruce batman who stayed in Gotham, she’s more similar to later batman. She’s in the league, she goes on funky missions to space or other dimensions sometimes, she fights the world ending threats that someone with no powers really should have no business fighting. She also works frequently with Tim and they do some fun little espionage stuff. And while she does return to Gotham, she’s mostly content to leave the city to Steph now- except for all the times she gets into fights with Jason, it bothers her that Steph rarely messes with his operation.
Damian
I really love the idea of Damian getting more into the magical part of DC, I think he should absolutely end up with a Justice League Dark team and learn to do cool magic shit. He goes on a training montage quest like Bruce did, except he’s learning all about magic and demons and cool stuff like that. He has cool magic swords and is sort of the connection between the more grounded part of the universe and the magic parts. He also does a fair bit of globe trotting, looking for ancient mystical artifacts or magical worlds and stuff like that.
Duke Thomas
Duke also mostly stays in Gotham, he’s kinda doing his own thing as The Signal- he still operates during the daytime meaning he doesn’t cross paths with Steph or Jason too often on patrol. There’s not much to change here because Duke is already unique in that he 1- operates during the day and 2- is the only meta-bat, so I don’t need to make a niche for him, DC just needs to use him more.
Random Stuff
- Duke is starting college and takes night classes at Gotham U, Steph is also still in college and is graduating soon
- Tim is either Red Robin, or operating under a new name (I think the Vulture or Condor would be kinda cool but idk)
- The Batfam does not get along like a real family, they are dramatic bitches who fight all the time and have cannot all be in the same room
- Damian and Steph are super close, she was the first person to insist on treating him like a child, which he hated but now that he’s older is grateful for (but he’ll never admit it)
- Damian also sees Dick as his father figure, Bruce is just kinda also there
- Bruce, Alfred, Damian, and Cass all live at the manor- but Damian and Cass are rarely there as they travel a lot and got shit to do
- Barbara lives in the clock tower, she technically lives alone but usually one of Cass, Dick, Dinah, or Helena will be crashing there
- Steph lives alone in the same house she grew up in, her Mom has moved to California or something for a fresh start as she is finally sober, but at this point Steph doesn’t need her. It’s very sad as Steph never truly had a mother, but she’s happy that Crystal is getting another chance away from Gotham.
- Duke swears he’s seen Jason at night classes at Gotham U, but Jason won’t admit it
- The only ones Jason talks to semi-frequently are Dick and Tim, the relationships are super rocky though. Dick sees Jason as his brother first, and since he’s in Blüdhaven he tries not to concern himself with Jason’s business. Tim and Jason do fight a bit but Tim is more lenient than Cass so he can tolerate Jason’s shit if he feels like it’s for the best.

I'll keep spoilering you just cuz... Cuz I wanna talk about those chapters so much. Yes, I thought about the board game too later on, but never played it myself. Could be fun with them, honestly, Lucy will win anyway. Look, I am not happy about the whole "multiple human worlds" either, it makes it soooo much broader, also Diavolo has basically god powers from what I get from the lore? Creating dimensions, stopping time and so on, so it makes sense he can travel between dimensions? So why does he needs Barb's powers? Also, why isn't teleportation is used more often? I think there's a chat somewhere where Mammon had to keep the lights on with magic, and said it's too draining. So I get that they can't use magic that often (mc is excluded cuz, it's mc) but still, the amount of times that the brothers were late for RAD. Just teleport there. But this is a whole different conversation. I am just a stickler for lore and logic within it, if I get going. Yes, yes, I will lighten up... In the rest of hard chapters 50 and on, there's like 4 of them where Levi and Mammon are doing stupid shit. Like a lot of it. It makes me think that if you let the two of them be alone for longer than few minutes, they will destroy the world. Also, Levi is super rich. Sugar daddy to Mammon. It just makes it so much more profound now. How didn't I think of this before. Can't wait to see what the hard lessons in season 4 has to offer. -🐆
Well, I've only played it once and I remember being somewhat bored, but I still can't see Catan and not think of it for some reason lol. No doubt Lucifer would win, too.
OKAY now we're getting into teleportation because that is a question I also have!! In fact, I'm so preoccupied with the fact that MC can teleport as a sorcerer that I've included it in both The Threads That Bind and Unchained. In Threads, MC uses it to teleport themselves from inside the castle to outside the castle. And in Unchained, they give an excuse for why they aren't using it, which is that it's exhausting and depletes their magic and isn't worth using for short distances. But they also use it to teleport between worlds, which is something that seemingly only MC and Solomon and Barbatos can do.
I don't know about Diavolo, honestly... I can't remember what the specifics of his powers are. But he's supposed to be the strongest demon in the entire Devildom, so you would think that would mean he could do things like teleport, too. I'm not sure how that might differ from Barb's abilities. I always thought of Barbatos doing it more like portal-style, so it might be less exhausting. If you can open a portal to anywhere, that's likely less taxing than trying to move your entire body from one place to another? I don't know, there are no rules to this stuff and it makes me crazy.
So I just kinda headcanoned teleportation rules as needed for my stories. It's important in a few plot points, so I had to address it, you know? Otherwise I'd have had to come up with some kinda alternate way for things to go down.
Ahaha please don't lighten up, I am absolutely the same way lol. I could rant about this for several more paragraphs. But in the end, I always just end up filling in these questions myself as needed because there's so much that they don't fully explain. And I'm like, I need my own stories to make sense. So that means making up rules where none exist in canon.
Anyway, I love the Mammon and Levi relationship. They're so funny, I feel like they're constantly just fucking around. And Levi getting so mad at Mammon for owing him money is really hilarious when you consider how often Levi still lends Mammon money. Like is all that just for show? Mammon is spoiled lol.

Hiya! Sorry to be a bother but I was wondering if you had any engport headcanons you wanna share? Like, either headcanons that pop up in lots of AUs or scenarios or ones that are very specific, I kinda wanna hear them if that’s alright with you
My dear you never bother me! and I feel honored you asked me since I admire your work! Thanks for this chance~
I don't want to make volumes of this post for now so I will pick some domestic/common and some outside the world/supernatural.
Domestic
They love long walks near the coasts, in both lands. Imagine that if they are loyal husbands to each other, Sea is the main wife of both, so they respect her and name her with adoration; they feel a little children of her too.
In bed, Portugal prefers right than left side - and when Arthur sleeps on his side he is capable of pushing him out the bed - because he needs to be near the window and the sea; he sleeps better with the sound near him.
Arthur adores his husband's voice and instruments, as well as Gabriel feels in heaven when Kirkland reads him a book or just create a story for him (England and Spain are the best storytellers ever). The best way of winning against saudade is a good tale. And of course this is a intimate ritual, so they do it alone.
They consider divorce once after the incident of the Pink Map, and they spent years with no contact with each othe (not even a letter, or a word, they're both stubborn). Their fights are a cataclysm, but the reconciliations are the best ones.
Supernatural
In my headcanon they have several phases and thousands of shapes; the older the country the more they have, so imagine they've got a lot.
In some part of the other dimension that I called the Onirical World, Portugal is a wyvern/blue fire-and-sea dragon, with big wings and which can travel the seas and the skies from time to time. In his development, his partner was alwaysEngland in the shape of a enormous and proud primitive tiger, which built him with his ancient magic a whole refuge to be together: that realm is called Thunder's Moor.
Some animal shapes sometimes come to this side because changes/shit happens, and they have some hibrid aspects, like scales or cat eyes in their human form. When that happens the other one feels it, so they stay together and decide to not have contact with humans.
When they are having a discussion suddenly they start shouting each other in ancient languages, like latin or celtic, without noticing.
Hope you like it!

What are some of your thoughts on these darker/crueler subcategories of vore:
- Punishment vore
- Revenge vore
- Torture (both physical & psychological) vore
- Long-term belly imprisonment
- Fatal vore
Obviously you’re not expected to talk about any of these that make you uncomfortable
I've written and RP'd all of these anon XD i really like all kinds of vore (as longs as its GT and oral).
Let me first rank these (A-F like a grade?) and then I'll site specific moments from stories i've written and RP'd.
- Punishment vore. Good shit. B+ i say, its cathartic.
- Revenge vore. This can pair with punishment. A+, revenge is a dish best served tasty.
- Torture (both physical & psychological) vore. Yonah literally does this??? A+. Traumatize the prey thanks.
- Long-term belly imprisonment. Im saying B. Its not my favorite but damn its fucking crazy i do love just extreme nature of it.
- Fatal vore. Yeah??? I used to be averse to fatal, it squicked me out. now im like "KILL THE BITCH" though I'm still gonna rank it A an not A+ because sometimes it still bothers me depending on the situation.
Now for Story/RP highlights!!!
Punishment Vore: to be fair this can range from safe to fatal. Yonah used to punish Sophia by eating her but over time this uhhhh no longer worked unless there was an intense reason sophia didnt want to be stuck inside Yonah's stomach. Usually bc there was something she wanted to do or see but nope, time out.
Revenge Vore: I see this as fatal, i dont really see how revenge vore could be dark/cruel without it. Otherwise it's just friendly getting back at someone. Anyways See Return of the Dragon King Part 1: Prison Break. Yonah chows down on the guards that tortured him. good revenge that. If I eventually get to it, yonah will get to eat Tobi's dad (who was the second in command of the facility).
Torture: In my RP sessions Yonah is often the body guard to a powerful politician and will torture prisoners/assassins/spies with her. Eating spies whole and not giving them safety charms but spitting them up partially digested but not dead. rinse and repeat. Biting off limbs, stuff like that.
Long Term Belly Imprisonment. Now that's an interesting one. Haven't played around with it much because I havent designed preds which that's really... possible. Though you could argue Yonah keeping someone overnight is "long term" ish. but i suspect you mean longer. I have done this in RP.
In one RP we had the characters kinda stuck in a limbo on a ship in the ocean and Sophia and the King of the Giants had to hunt down an assassin as everyone on the ship slept due to Yonah activating a sleeping beauty curse. Except the King of Giants was in a pocket of subspace (put there to avoid the curse). Sophia found the assassin and shoves them into the pocket dimension and The King ate them. The curse lasted THIRTY DAYS (i suggested 30 years LOL). Even after the curse was broken the assassin stayed in the King's belly as they sailed back to shore and was released a few days after arriving back in the Giant Kingdom. (this also counts as revenge/punishment to if you didnt notice)
I absolutely loved this entire little shenanigan and I want to write it really badly.
Fatal: So ive not posted many fatal stories, but oh boy, have I RP'd a lot of it. It's made me more comfortable with it in fact. pre-2020 me was still not super comfy with it but now im like fuck yeah!!! My RPs often revolve around fatal revenge/punishment set ups. taking down character's parents who want to train them as super soldiers, eating a circus ringmaster who used yonah as a side show monster (who was fed audience members. yup. fatally). These stories often have a healthy dose of Safe as well, fatal for revenge and punishment, safe for comfort and cuddling. Or protection! Even in the stories where the fatal was central to plot moreso than the safe. Example with the circus one is that after freeing all the other side-show monsters they all travel to a safe haven. but one of the monsters is a Naga who cannot handle the cold nights and has to be eaten by Yonah to stay warm :D
Thanks for this amazing Ask Anon!! <3

Naruto Fic Rec Masterpost!
Tumblr media
Adoption by Defenestration; or, A Family Can Be A Fox Demon, Its Jinchuuriki, and Three Dozen Highly-Trained Assassins  by elumish Oneshot, Gen, Fluff, child neglect, Naruto gets unofficially adopted by his anbu guards and it’s incredibly cute Summary: He will not be the ANBU who let the jinchuuriki plummet to his death out a fourth story window. Let that be another ANBU’s legacy.
Being Over-Prepared is Impossible (and other mottos)  by Pleasedial123 Longfic, Gen, Team Seven, team as family, Bamf Kakashi, Bamf team 7, au, kakashi pov, Complete but part of a three part series and the third part is still ongoing, still highly recommend, what team 7 should have been, Skilled Teacher! Kakashi Summary: In one world, Kakashi awoke, felt grieved at being assigned a team he sees his own in, and he let that grief make him a lazy teacher.  He saw himself in Sasuke, Obito in Naruto, and Rin in Sakura. He woke, saw himself in them, and took a large step back, regretting accepting them as his new team.  In that world he was quite hands off - merely a watcher because it was so very painful to watch. He saw himself and all his mistakes in this new team of his.
In this world, Kakashi awoke, saw the similarities, and instantly panicked.
He suddenly realised what he had done, passing a team.  Kakashi was left scrambling not to repeat old mistakes and regrets. This team would not suffer the fate of his team.
In this world, simply put, Kakashi became a teacher.  This is the beginning of a new team seven.
Something in the water by maldoror_gw  Oneshot, Gen, Teen and Up for language, hilarious, Tsunade pov, fluff, mild crack, pre-shippuden post naruto,
Summary: "Sakura...what is that man reading?" Tsunade asked in a dangerous voice. Sakura's gaze twitched away from her ex-teacher to her new - and temperamental - mentor. "Erm...a book...written by a...well-respected member of the community...about...romance?" Tsunade noted with passing approval that Sakura was demonstrating both loyalty and quite a lot of imagination in defending her one-time team leader (who was now trying to edge around a pillar to get away from Tsunade's venomous glare).
backslide by blackkat Time travel, time travel fix it, mature, fluff, team seven, m/m, slow build romance, Naruto adopts himself, Uzumaki heritage, bamf Naruto, complete longfic, Summary: Naruto’s friends are gone, his lover is dying, Konoha is destroyed, and Madara’s second return has pushed the entire world to the brink. Hunted and harried, Naruto is sent back in time to upend Madara’s plan before it even starts, and sets about changing everything. Butterfly effect nothing: the world is at stake, and Naruto is hardly about to let it fall to ruin once more. Not while he’s still breathing.
Tobirama Kicks Some Sense Into Konoha by allseer15 Hurt/comfort, whump, emotional whump, time travel, fix it, time travel fix it, The ‘what if Tobirama came to the future saw an orphaned Naruto and adopted the shit out of him’ Fic, Iconique, child neglect, child abandonment, fluff, so much fluff, completed longfic, look I have a weakness for the time travel fix it trope at the best of times but this fic is good even looking at it without focusing on that! Prolonged Tobirama content, Senju lore, senju feels, Summary: The Hidden Leaf Village in Naruto's time seems to have forgotten just why the village was founded and have lost their way.  Through a mishap with a hiraishin seal, Tobirama finds himself during Naruto's time and he is having none of this nonsense. His brother may be gone, but he won't stand to have Hashirama's dream trampled so. And if he has to cause a civil war or burn the village down to the ground? Well that depends on how much resistance he meets. All Tobirama does know for certain is that no child will suffer underneath the protection of Konoha and if he has to take them in and care for them himself, then he will.
Hardest of hearts by blackkat Oneshot, Gen, look I really like blackkat’s naruto fic okay, part one of a completed three part series, all three parts are great, Fix its are the best, Alternate Universe - Canon Divergence, Time Travel, Time Travel Fix It, Orochimaru redemption story, the sheer shadenfreude of one baddie fucking over another baddie, in this case Danzo, Obito has a ‘bad guy but not that bad of a guy’ solidarity moment with Orochimaru at the start and I loved it so there’s that, featuring a low key constantly horrified at this turn of events Minato,
Summary: Orochimaru gets one more chance. Just maybe, it will be enough to save him—and the entire world as well.
A Snake In the Grass, a Wolf At the Door by blackkat Mature, Completed ten chapter fic, Orochimaru redemption story, Orochimaru/Kakashi’s dad, you read that right, quality Sakumo content, Families of Choice, Humour, Fluff and Angst, somewhat crackish, Alternate Universe - Canon Divergence, baby Kakashi being a cutie Summary: Orochimaru is on the edge of breaking when someone unexpected pulls him back to solid ground. When the time comes, he returns the favour.
Nukenin by WhisperingDarkness Gen, dimension travel, team seven, team as family, Kakashi actually being a good sensei even when he’s not a sensei at all, possessive kakashi, Team Seven is his team, Kinda Fluffy, Protective Kakashi, the ‘this might as well happen’ adaptability is real, Kakashi adopts team seven and team seven adopts kakashi, even though he’s illegal, 4 chapter fic, marked as complete as author doesn’t plan to continue it, but even taking these chapters as stand alone this fic is great,
Summary:  In the sealed scroll he finds a Bingo Book – his own page marking him as an S-class nukenin with flee-on-sight orders.  “Ok. That is definitely different.”  In his head he blames Naruto – even if his number one unpredictable student had been nowhere near him on this mission. When things go this stupidly impossibly wrong it must somehow be the future Hokage’s fault.
Ear to the Wall by Vodkassassin Ongoing, it’s really really good though! great Kakashi content, Minato is very stressed and I love him, Sickfic, Hurt/Comfort, whump, PTSD’d Kakashi gets to relive his childhood but gets a little bit of a real childhood along the way, ADHD Rin, time travel fix it, look I like what I like and what I like is fix its and time travel apparently, Kakashi adopts Orochimaru before he descends into douchbaggery, Orochimaru Redemption story, everyone is alive,   Summary: The Minato-sensei beams at him, and replies, “Kakashi! I’m glad you’re awake,” and, yup, that’s Minato-sensei’s voice. Kakashi falls back down against the bed, closing his eyes. It’s too short of a way down, and he clenches hands that are too tiny and feeble and not his in dog-print sheets he hasn’t owned for decades.
How To Save The World With No One Even Realising by IncompleteSentanc (Erava) Gen, Teen and Up, Graphic Depictions Of Violence, Major Character Death, time travel fix it, Canonically Accurate OP Team 7, SuperBadass!Sakura, SuperBadass!Sasuke, SuperBadass!Naruto, RegularBadass!Shikamaru, Canonically Violent Sasuke, Equally Violent Sakura, Saving The World One Murder At A Time, Various Jinchuuriki, Team 7 As Super Villains, Doing Super Villainy Stuff, Like Murder, And Professional Eyeball Removal, Poor Obito, Poor Minato, AKA The Worst Four Months of Minato's Life, And Everyone Else's Too, Dark Humor, Bittersweet Ending, Dark Comedy, Crack treated seriously, completed 3 chapter fic, Well worth the read, Team 7 To The End! Summary: Minato knows at the beginning of the week that it's going to be a hellish one. Mostly because it starts with the kidnapping of one of his two remaining students, only a year after they'd lost the first one. He just doesn't realise at the time that it's not going to be a hellish week - it's going to be hell for quite a bit longer than that. It all starts with Rin's kidnapping, and her subsequent rescue at the hands of a mysteriously appearing, monstrously strong, murderously violent woman. A woman with cotton candy pink hair. It only devolves from there.
Just Killing Time by Elizabeth Culmer (edenfalling) Gen, Oneshot, Short and Sweet, Classic of The Fandom, Ficlet, Team 7, Kids being Kids, Fluff, Fluff and Humour, Slice of Life, Cute Kids
Summary: After Wave Country and before the chuunin exam, Team 7 kills time while waiting for Kakashi to show up.
there lies a trail of fire behind us by BowAndDagger Gen, Madara is extremely confused but mostly on board, Time Travel au, Alternate Universe - Canon Divergence, Bamf Naruto Uzumaki, Alternate Universe - Everyone Lives/Nobody Dies, Except Zetsu, Alternate Universe - Time Travel, Fix-It, Founders Era, clan wars era, Pre-Slash, POV Uchiha Madara, the Completed part one of an Ongoing/Incomplete series, completed 4 chapter fic, Summary: As he returns from a mission, Madara makes a strange encounter with an even stranger shinobi. Then, he’s summarily kidnapped to go on a quest to save the world by said weird shinobi. (He absolutely did not choose to follow the stranger on his own free will. He was kidnapped. He did not give chase. He did not.)
A Political Perspective by VJ Riddle  / MueraRashaye Ongoing, Possibly (Probably) Discontinued, Teen and Up, Gen, Team 7, training montage deluxe, Konoha is a murder village, Good Teacher! Kakashi, AU, slowly developing into Bamf team 7, Bamf Kakashi, slowly developing into Team as Family, lots of fun ideas, not crack, Minor Spoiler: Zabuza and Haku get x’d before their character development gets its chance to shine in this fic, Sometimes people don’t warn for that in the tags and it can be a dealbreaker in fic for me as I love those two, not a dealbreaker in the case of this fic though! Really good fic so far, kind of verging on dry in places but it always stays fun in the end with lots of interesting elements, I enjoy the character insight from the pov switching, and also how much of a headcase Kakashi is, graphic depictions of violence, Alternate Universe - Canon Divergence,
Summary: Hatake Kakashi was a shinobi, and as a shinobi, the only people who could give him orders were his military superiors. The idea that a Council made up of civilians and peers was under the impression they could give him orders...displeased him. Or: He was ordered to pass Team 7. He was fine with that, until they actually passed.
Integrity by Liz_Starling Oneshot, Gen, Canon-Typical Violence, Canon Compliant, Integrity, Child Neglect, BAMF Uzumaki Naruto, Reflections on Naruto’s inner workings as a person, promises,
Summary: Naruto keeps his word. Some people are loyal to their families. Some, their orders. Naruto is loyal to the only thing he’s been able to count on; the promises he makes.
Foundation (Build It Higher, Bury It Deeper) by RayShippouUchiha Ongoing, BUT EXCELLENT, it made me cry, Naruto feels, 6 chapter fic thus far, Bamf Naruto, Bamf Tsunade, Naruto deserved better, Angst, Hurt/Comfort, Angst and Hurt/Comfort, Emotional Hurt/Comfort, Canon-Typical Violence, Gen, Mature, Team 7, Uzumaki Feels, Abandonment, Tsunade gives Naruto the personal talk he deserved instead of finding out from a chakra imprint when he was dying, so we stan, I love this fic
Summary: It’s just… he’d thought, given his fight against Neji and then his confrontation with Gaara, that someone would finally really acknowledge what he’d done.  That beyond Iruka-sensei’s crushing hug and Kakashi-sensei’s absent pat, someone would actually notice that he’d won against both of them.
That he’d beaten a genius on his own and then had battled another jinchūriki to a stand still.
So while he hadn’t really expected to be promoted too he’d still ...

Talks Machina Highlights - Critical Role C2E113 (Oct. 27, 2020)
Good evening and good night, lovely people of the world! We’re on the internet and ready to go. Tonight’s guests are Travis Willingham and Sam Riegel. This will be calm, controlled, and sane, I can feel it. Brian points out it’s been seven months since either of them were on Talks. Oof. (Sam asks if it’s been going the whole time without him. Bigger oof.) Travis keeps sneaking bites out of an acai bowl or something and tries to look sneaky about it, and I laugh every time because he’s just...so big. He’s such a big person.
(Brian is wearing a lobstrosity shirt. He and Travis talk about Dark Tower for a bit; then Sam tries to get into the conversation: “Is that the thing from It?” Brian: “Is what the thing from It?” Sam: “Is that lobster the clown from It? I’m not very literate. Is that a Langolier? Is that a Shawshank?”)
Announcements: none! Maybe they just forgot. We’ve been talking about Sam’s spooky skeleton decorations for like five minutes. Brian suggests taking them to Travis’s house. Travis: “That’s the fastest way to get to the smell of burning plastic.” Brian: “Speaking of your girlfriend...”
On Avantika: Fjord wouldn’t call it a relationship as much as a casual sexual interaction. Not official! Super not official!!
The first sea voyage wasn’t great for Fjord, but he tried to be thoughtful about preparing for this one before they left: praying, kneeling at the bow of the ship, etc. He’s a little disappointed the Wildmother didn’t even throw him a “yo, fam” heads up.
They weren’t sure how to resolve the conflict at first, since Avantika went for Fjord rather than the crystal. No one expected it to get exposed in that way. Travis thought the necklace was a pocket dimension and was alarmed to learn it wasn’t. Travis wants it destroyed along with the third gateway, so until they are he won’t rest easy.
Everyone enjoyed watching them all fail on the battlefield again. (Sam: “You used [Counterspell] so effectively!”) Travis thought he’d said Thunder Step, which would imply Avantika was running, rather than Thunder Wave. Sam says it’s fine since none of them have that spell and he wouldn’t know it anyway.
It’s very difficult for Veth to find reasons to stay with the M9. She loves the adventures and making a difference, but she also wants to come home and have weekends and have a husband and life. “She’s a career girl!” He’s very excited about the possibilities of Caleb’s transportation effectively creating an easy commute for her. He also, as a player, doesn’t want to be the person who’s always leaving the party. “My characters wanna roam!”
Travis was fully tilted that Avantika might have gotten away right before the break. He doesn’t think he could have focused on Vess DeRogna’s task knowing Avantika had gotten away; he was seriously working out how Fjord would leave the party to go make a last stand at the third gate if she’d escaped.
Sam looooves how Matt plays Yeza, but it honestly makes him feel a little worse at how encouraging he is for Veth to chase her dreams. “He’s always like - go shine! Go blossom!” He wants to have the conversation about Yeza feeling a little ignored. It’s fun to share the tales of adventures with Luc & Yeza.
Travis says there’s no way it’s Molly--it’s all Lucien. They don’t know if it was a resurrection, if he’s undead, possessed, etc. Everyone--everyone--rags on Taliesin’s accent work. Brian surreptitiously claims Ashly was brought on to relieve him of the burden of the accent. Poor Ashly, ha!
Initially, Travis landed on the Oath of the Ancients, but it had more nature & pacifism in it than he felt fit Fjord very well. Many of them also had a focus on good & lawfulness, which also didn’t feel quite right; he also wasn’t that vengeful for some of the others. He & Matt got together and discussed options. Matt asked what Travis liked about Fjord; Fjord’s love for the ocean was a huge part of it, since Travis himself also loves the ocean & scuba diving, and so Matt created a custom oath for him. Travis does not plan to post its details, but he thinks Matt will at some point.
Cosplay of the Week! a lovely Scanlan by Air Bubbles Cosplay! Sam tells us the “canon” Scanlan cosplay was actually borrowed hodgepodge, and the boots were falling off all day.
It was really cool to see how Yeza & Luc have made a home in Nicodranas. Felderwin was okay, but kind of your basic D&D fishing village, and she likes the Nicodranas is much better. She’s confident & comfortable knowing her family is safe and sound.
Why is Fjord so interested in finding Sabian? To him, post-orphanage, his time with Vandren was the best of his life & the most love he’d ever received, because he mattered & had worth. It was taken by someone he’d known basically his whole life, so Fjord is not going to let that go. “That fuckin’ bill needs to be paid, my friend.”
Sam acknowledges that he should NOT have looked at his phone in re: the Vilya reveal, but it was pretty surprising! He can’t believe none of them recognized it! Travis points out the M9 had never met, heard of, or known anything about Vilya, so it’s not that surprising. Brian points out Matt has also done a really good job keeping the two campaigns separate, so any references were tasteful. Sam marvels that it was so well done: it was tasteful, had emotional and story impact... “That Matt. He’s getting better!”
Liam texted Sam back something like “oh SHIT.”
Knowing Veth had a chance to help someone else return to her child made Veth feel almost karmically forgiven for being away from her kid, but it also made Veth a little guilty--”this lady wants to desperately return home, shouldn’t I want to go home too?” Caleb’s teleportation spell couldn’t have come a better time.
Sam wants Caleb & Astrid to get back together (well, he says “hump each other”), and Dani’s eyebrows climb off her forehead. Veth/Nott really thinks Caleb needs to have a roll in ze hay, and feels like after meeting her that there is a kindness or vulnerability to her that could be worthwhile. Travis thinks she feels like someone tethered, that it feels like she has a bomb or something in her chest that’ll explode if she tries to leave. Sam thinks Eadwulf is super cool. None of these names are spelled like I think.
Travis found the dinner super frustrating, because he felt Caleb was trying to walk a diplomatic line and he just wanted to backhand Trent.
Fjord is still coming to terms with his feelings for Jester, and the feelings are definitely real, but there’s a lot of timing that he’s considering and he also wants to figure out what the relationship is like outside of constant tension and battle. Fjord is also having trouble figuring out how to exercise the ability to display affection as well since he’s never received them, and is feeling out how to give and receive them. “It’s fine now, because he’s feeling it, but once you say it out loud, or once you come to a point where you make it known to the other side, then what happens? It might be ruined. It might be broken. Or it might not be!” The moment with the porcelain unicorn was too good not to try. Travis also sighs that he’s not a romance D&D guy, “but now I am! Fuckin’ Laura Bailey!” He’s definitely feeling it out and will see how it unfolds in the game.
If Jester hadn’t let go of the Traveler, Fjord would have either attacked the Traveler or the Moonweaver and tried to kick them both off.
Sam doesn’t think the Traveler’s realized yet what a dick he is. Brian thinks it may not happen in this campaign, but agrees the full weight of what he deserves hasn’t been felt yet. Travis: “Yeah, he came to the edge, but it didn’t cost him anything.” Brian: “Yeah, he’s a real edgelord.”
Fanart of the Week! a beautiful portrait of Molly in the snow by @claygryphon on twitter.
Veth acknowledges that they work for shady people with shady pasts, so Vess DeRogna isn’t her first rodeo, but this time it’s personal. It’s Jaws 2: Electric Boogaloo. Sam can’t commit to actual actions, since Vess is like level 20 or something, but “I will get some kinda revenge. Be it petty or significant, I will get revenge.”
How are they feeling about being in Eiselcross? They’ve only just landed, so not sure yet. The cold is intimidating. They’re excited to explore a new island that’s part of Wildemount, especially with the river of lava running through it. “It’s icy with lava? Sounds like a Dairy Queen.”
There’s still a ton of unknowns regarding the Tombtakers, Vess, the nature of their job, and who’s here on whose orders. They’re excited to see how it’s all going to play out. Travis laughs that he doesn’t take notes, he’s just here to fight things. It just washes over him when Matt starts talking about names and places. “It’ll reveal itself in time. [...] I don’t write those notes down. I don’t even know how to spell it off the bat.” I have never identified more with Travis. Sam actually does pay attention and take notes and was really impressed by Marisha’s dive.
Veth became interested in branding her own spellcraft as soon as she saw Caleb doing it. “That’s what the influencer agents are gonna be looking at. It would be nice to leave the world better than we found it, but also with some branded spells.”
What were Fjord’s thoughts on dropping so much money on the ring & the Ioun stone? It wasn’t about money for Fjord, it was about a cool thing to acquire. It’s why he saves money in his campaign. Caleb needs “as much of a flak jacket as he can get.” He also REJECTS the idea of buyer’s remorse on the ring and touts the effectiveness it’ll have on the lava river.
Travis talks about his old coins - a 340AD coin he bought at a ren faire and a 120BC coin that was a gift from a friend.
Sam marvels at the love and thought that Caleb put into the tower. Sam points out they forgot to go to the top two floors altogether. Travis: “Did the mansion get as much careful planning from Scanlan as the tower did from Caleb?” Sam: Absolutely not. But they were still thinking small in C1, figuring out how things went, and they didn’t have as much detail in their heads yet.
And that’s all the time we have for tonight! We end on everyone whispering way too close into their mics and tapping fingernails on mason jars. A fitting end to this crazy episode, I think.
Is it Thursday yet?

DC's Stargirl 2.04 "Summer School: Chapter Four" has aired on the CW, and I'm here to talk about it.
It's two days late as I spent all of Wednesday travelling but we're finally here! We started setting up some important stuff last week, so let's what this week has to offer.
OMG is this an Artemis episode? Starting with her seeing her parents in jail, what fun. The guard is a dick, smh.
I still want to know how Chuck knows Eclipso is out. I'm sure it'll be explained at some point (and even if it isn't, it's not that big a deal) but I would like to know. I think it's cute how Beth is trying to get her parents to reconnect. It's really unfortunate how they seem to not have time for her, but at least we can tell that they love her.
I'll continue to admit that I don't much about Eclipso. What I do know is that he's bad news and he was the original spirit of Wrath, aka what the Spectre is now. He was deemed to be uncontrollable or something and was replaced & locked away. I imagine Dr Fate had something to do with him getting defeated, we know he was on the old JSA since we saw the helmet of fate in the JSA manor last season. Are they going to need to find a new Dr Fate to stop him, or will they come up with something else? If it was me, I'd want to use this opportunity to bring back my favourite character, one Joey Zarick, and have him become a new Fate for a bit and then let him do his own thing, maybe make the Wizard a hero. It would hardly be the first time Fate has intervened in possible death.
I wonder if Cindy is going to turn anti-hero? She's dealing with immediate regret about what happened to her mum, and she's maybe even a little afraid of Eclipso now. She's seen what he can really do. And as much as I would like to see Artemis as a hero, I can see why she might not be here. I don't think she'll ever be a real bad guy, but I can definitely see her wanting to work against and take down the new JSA.
Oh this isn't good. Tigress and Sportsmaster are back and ready to cause problems.
Pat, I feel you should've maybe called some of the others before you just went in like that. Yeah, you beat Sportsmaster last time, but barely. Are you really going to beat both of them now? I think no matter what, if he called in the others or not, they'd still be other classed. But the JSA has been training for months, they must know how to work as a team. They might, just might, be able to pull it off. Okay, there's no way we believe they're just going to break back into prison after tryouts right? Like, that's fucking crazy. I will admit, they're kinda funny.
Okay yeah, the parents bonding like this is easily the funniest scene in the entire show.
This is the good shit right here, the group figuring shit out the old fashioned way in books and shit. This is what I want in my teen superhero stories. And Rick is so awkward, I love him. "Can I get a dozen burgers for my dog" fucking what?
I really like Shade so far. I think he's a more interesting antagonist for Courtney and the JSA as a whole than the ISA was. And yeah, he has a real point. Bad and evil are two, very different things.
I feel really bad for Artemis. I mean, I kind of always did, but I feel for her even more now. And now she's being manipulated to hell and back by Cindy.
I wonder what exactly "everything" is. We'll absolutely know eventually, I imagine specifically either Barbara or Pat will be forced to tell them. Maybe the JSA was controlled, turned against each other, by Eclipso before.
OMG, Chuck isn't the AI anymore. He's the actual Dr Midnite. Or I guess he probably got sucked into some pocket dimension or something of Shade's and he's able to use the broadcasting signal of his old goggles to try and communicate. So a new story beat for this season, and what an interesting twist.
Cindy has finally started making her move, Artemis is getting involved, and we had a big reveal. What a great episode. I imagine next episode is going to focus a lot on what's going on with the old Midnite and what the group could do now. But that's what we'll find out next week on Stargirl, in "Summer School: Chapter Five"

My Top 10 Manga 2020
Because of the...you know...I had a lot of free time on my hands so I read a shit ton of manga. Here is what I read this year. Fruits Basket and Tsubasa are the only ones I completed though.
Shout out to my local library for always keeping the manga section stocked with everything. I’ve found obscure titles and the newest ones. They are awesome.
Sorry for any typos.
1.) Fruits Basket
Fruits Basket made me feel so many emotions and I kinda reevaluate my life after finishing the last volume. Please go read the manga if you haven’t (or watch the rebooted anime). I laughed and cried while reading this. It’s such a fantastic story. I’m so thankful that it helped me get through 2020.
Tumblr media
2.) D. Gray Man
I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw the new D. Gray man volumes at the library. I grabbed both of them and finished them within a week.
D. Gray man is one of my favorite series and it was good to pick up from where Hallow left off. Now, I’m all caught up and anxiously awaiting the next chapter.
Tumblr media
3.) Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles
Once again, shout out to my library for having all the Tsubasa volumes and the Omnibus versions as well. This manga also helped me get through 2020 as well.
Dimension hopping, time travel shennagins, a found family, romance, awesome action sequences...Tsubasa had it all. I dropped the anime because I thought the art style was ugly. CLAMP really goes above and beyond with their art, so I was happy to read Tsubasa instead.
I do recommend this manga, but be prepared to be a bit confused after the Tokyo arc. I had to re-read things several times to make sure I understood them.
Tumblr media
4.) Diamond no Ace Act II
So, DnA Act II anime ended in March :( I am suspecting it will be another 2-3 years before we get a new season.
I CAN’T WAIT THAT LONG!
So, I started reading the manga xD It’s starting to get really intense. I really hope Seidou makes it to Koshien!!
Tumblr media
5.) Jujutsu Kaisen
Read Jujutsu Kaisen (or watch it) and you’ll know why it’s on my list :)
Tumblr media
6.) Horimiya
Horimiya is just really adorable...not what I was expecting. I thought Horimiya would be angsty, but its really funny xD I highly recommend it.
Tumblr media
7.) Spy x Family
Spy x Family is brilliant! I love “found family” stories, and this manga instantly had me hooked. Please go read this amazing story. I can’t wait for the anime to come out :)
Tumblr media
8.) Vinland Saga
Vinland Saga was my favorite anime in 2019. I’ve been hearing rumors about a season 2...but until we have confirmation I’ll stick with the manga. I really like the farm arc so far, and I can’t wait to see the new people Thorfinn meets and the new adventures he embarks on.
Tumblr media
9.) My Hero Academia
I started the MHA manga with the Shirakumo revelation and Endeavor Agency arc, which I really loved (I can’t wait to see it animated). Then BAM I’m right in the middle of the War Arc. Miruko is struggling, Shigaraki just woke up...things are bad. So, these past few months reading MHA have been really intense, but I’ve enjoyed it a lot.
Keep up the good work, Horikoshi.
Tumblr media
10.) MHA Vigilantes
I haven’t gotten as far into Vigilantes as I would like. I read the chapters concerning the Rooftop Gang and I really enjoyed it :) I’m hoping to read more next year.
I find the concept of Vigilantes interesting, and I’d like to see them more in the main manga as well.

If obey me were left up to me to (re)write
So right now my friend @royalxsapphire and I were texting about the less than intresting turn in the story of obey me and during our disscussion we talked about things we would of changed from season 1 to now and adding in our own plot for fun, These are just our thought feel free to tag us both and add or talk about what you would add in. This is just how I would like the story to go if it were up to me you can also reblog with how you would of changed the plot and added in more charcater development.
Season 1
Changes:
If I had to rewrite it I would give mc and belphegor more screen time to flush out how mc deals with their murder
like mc would get possed with rage and then the brothers would have to find a way to bring them back from theirrage since they are causing trouble in devildom.
Season 2
Changes:
As for season 2 hmmmmm I would give the death demon more power like maybe blow out beels candle and then send him into purgatory and from there have mc travel into purgatory which is filled with actual fragments of beels mind
kinda like the last dimension in doctor strange type vibes and then from Mc will have to there collect theshards and piece them back together so beel and mc could make it out of purgatory, but not without suffering some of beels sinwith Mc being literally tempted to eat the fragements
(i would like solomon to randomly have a crucifix and yeet it at the death god killing him)
(Not really adding the amesia part with lucifer cause it was the start of just filler lessons)
Season 3
Changes:
I  personally would like them to scrap out the mansion( we already have house of lamentation) show them wheremc might live(give the player an option of how mc lives) and just let the broslegit show up there and be like "Sup we are your new roomates" kinda a ms kobahyshi dragon maid type thing
except the bros have to really adapt to human life and all dealing with religion racism just finding out that mcs world is a shitty place
kinda humbling them a bit as well, since they kinda are diavolos sugar babies in a sense,
as for who to focus on in season 3 hmmm, maybe it could be Lucifer but really focus on the angst and history of christians and the Vatican in the crusading days really make him conflicted with his motives like mentally shake him up questioning if the war was worth the pain and suffering humans delt with during the time Chrisianity had a bad name.
I also think it would be cool for the other brothers to meet different humans and learn their stories of how the specicfic brothers' respective sin destroyed their life, making the demon brothers think a bit more about how humans too have it bad.
Season 4
I dont know about season 4 tho what its about but if I had to fill in the blanks I would revive diavolos father and from there thats where shit hits the fan the demon king is repulsed by the demon bros and then from there he seperates lucifer and diavolo so because some demons like diavolos rules on how he governs they take lucifers side and diavolo is on the side of his dad for reasons being hes family and he doesnt want to go against his dad and devildom now goes into war with Lucifer representing democrasy and the Demon king dictatorship.
I would like to focus on belphie for that season too so he could at the end make amends with diavolo.
But as for mc i want Mc to leave the realms and try to adapt to their human life as much as possible(of course making lots of time go by like say 20 years) and then they decide to go back to devildom and negociate lucifer and diavolo to forming an alliance  and then put an end to the demon king via assination.
and from there devildom becomes a democracy.
Season 5
If we wanted to add one more season, Lucifer would be going up against simeon for prime minister since simeon helped in the war,
Mammon would be a CEO of a non profit organization that is raising awareness on the addiction of gambling,
Levi would be a swim coach for the devildom military,
Satan might be a librian keeping the offical history documents of devildom together,
Asmo would be an influencer that spreads awareness of rape victims,
Beelzebub would  be a gym owner with his own wrestling team (which also recruits future military soldiers)
I think belphegor would be a therpist or all the people who were involved in the war itself.
Diavolo would be in  the human world living like a nomad  but has money invested in stocks so he doesnt go broke.
Barbatos would most likely be the vice prime minister to either simeon of lucifer
Simeon of course is going up for prime minster of devildom
Solomon will have opened up a magic academy in devildom
And Luke would of acended to the hisghest rank lucifer was at when he was an angel, making meeting with both realms less stressfull and awkard.
I think season 5 could be where all the choices you make in the game thus far determines who you end up with. Kinda like in mystic messenger and then the rest of season 5 is you building your relationship with whichever demon or "undatable" you end up with.
I would want to squeeze in some slight angst with mc dying (cause the years afterwards took devildom a LONG time to recover)
and from there whatever demons or undatetable they were closest to wouldcome in and revive mc but Mc would then be an angel in the celesitial realm with lillith.
Eventually gaining the freedom to go back to the devildom.
But these are just our thoughts which i edited a bit what do you think?

Haha, maybe🤔🤣
*SOFTLY AND NICELY AND ONLY JOKINGLY BLAMES LW* (Never really cause she's WAY too nice to be blamed, but don't tell her i said that😂)
Yup, true...At least with the Winchesters they semi-admitted they weren't always perfect or healthy😫
Yeah, now that you say it, it really is strange that there's always alcohol no matter the Time of day🤔😅
Omg, YES, that freaking elevator DIDN'T MAKE ANY SENSE?!! THEY DIDN'T EVEN MAKE A SIDE COMMENT ABOUT IT! But yes, I can only agree on Details over CGI🙈
You're definitely evil and now I kinda wanna get my poor godkid and his even poorer older sister far away and out of your reach😅😭🙈 You literally have no mercy on them, do you? Couldn't you at least have had her time travel to get her father&brother back or sth and no longer be alone anymore?😭
Lol, Same, here have another two high-fives for that😂
If that stereotype was a real person, I'd murder it painfully...😑 I hate it SO much.
The movie had nice animation but it was kinda meh from what I remember😫 Again, I didn't mind NaruHina at all (esp. since she did indeed like him for him before anyone else did), but the movie was kinda pointless and I still dislike the sudden planet/dimension-hopping they introduced at the end of Shippuuden and them being able to breath on the freaking moon is just...what?😅🙈
Jup, same😂 Have them as Bros and Sasuke be fine alone (seriously, that boy should probably go to therapy for at LEAST 20 years before he even thinks of getting into a semi-serious relationship...)
Ohhhh, sounds interesting!🤔 Really made me think of Hunger Games and Assasination Classroom tho, yeah😂
It kinda does and I mean, I had a discussion with a friend once where we did point out that having a bit romance is truly fine cause it's hardly believable that truly EVERY character is aro/ace or too emotionally unavailable, but...Agh, just the ratio of story vs. romance is so fucked up😫
Oh, nononono, I understood that you meant 9am! Sorry, my autocorrect must have changed that to pm and I didn't realize🙈🙈 NO SHAME ON YOU!😭 Ha, zombie😂 You know that Cranberries song? I never have to NOT think of it when I hear that word🤣
YES, EXACTLY! Thank you, FINALLY someone who understands how freaking draining and tiring humans and human interaction are!
Ohhh, that would actually be funny😂 Esp. if Kakashi still used those stupid/brilliant excuses like "I got lost on the road of life" or "I saw a black cat and had to take the long way around cause bad luck" etc😂
I'm still sobbing over Ace... It never was the Same again😫 (Fun Fact: OF COURSE they'd kill one of my two favourite side characters and never show the other (aka Shanks) apart from in openings😫🤦🏻‍♀️ I really need to stop getting emotionally attached to tragic and absent characters😫🤦🏻‍♀️)
Yup, definitely😅 But BEYOND creepy nontheless...🙈
Tokyo Ghoul is just another tragic mass (and to no surprise I once again got attached to the worst character you can get attached to cause you'll spend 99% of the story wondering where he is, what he's doing or if he's even alive🙄😫)
Oh, you gotta watch/read Attack on Titan's S4 Arc! I wasn't TOO into it before but after that time skip shit went down and uff, my heart died a few times (and I still Love the paralells between the two sides and how all characters are proven to be shades of grey instead of the stupid black-white-thinking animes etc like to have these days...) 🤔
XXXXX
....well, I blame her all the time foer a lot of things, @raisedbyfandomwolves i think you can confirm?
Yeah, well, Winchesters were the equals in the show, I think? Both screwed a lot, both hurt each other, and both apologized many times. In SG... I feel there was imbalance. Alex was usually propped, while Kara was treated like teh bad guy. Don't even let me moan how she treated Kara in the two last eps. And nothing was solved.
I mean, yeah, no cameras in the elvator? No one was surprised there was freaking HOLE in the roof? No one was surprised the levator was destroyed? Like? Someone could have died there, and we would not know. Sigh.
MUHAHAHAHAHA. I was thinking about reversing the future and erasing the bad stuff, becasue of some villain messing with their lives, I didn't plan anything that far ^^' I mean, it could end happy or disastrous. I'm pissed off, so ....
Basically, I'm happy i ended my Naruto journey on manga and have seen like 2 shippuden movies, nothing more. Anyway... all naruto movies suck and all are just dumb fillers. Sad facts.
I KNOW. Kishimoto fucked his character and imo, he seriosuly should have died. ... you know, teh same goes for Mon-El, I wish he had died in the end of s2 because as much as I love Chris and his portrayal of Mon Mon, they destroyed almost everything I loved about him and karamel. What we get was... a slap. Not only Kara will never find a partner, but he will also never move on. Fuck this show.
It's good, espeically the first movie. I haven't read manga (just one vol.) but it is super brutal. And I bought the book and it waits for being read... maybe... mext year?
Agreed. it's like no one can create a stroy without romance? That's dumb? And even if there is no romance, if the series is popualr, there you have SHIPPERS swarming everything and talking about only romances and ugh, just shoot me.
Like duh, who didn't hear about Zombie by Cranberries???? One of my fave songs. Seriosuly.
I KNOW. Look, i like a lot of people, I like having them, but jesus christ just leave me a lone for some time, i need to recharge myself? Also, for a long time my best friend was an extravert who totally, TOTALLY, didn't understand my needs of peace and quiet. After she talked about her LOVE LIFE for HOURS I felt drilled like an lemon after lemonade was made.
He and Tobi, if Tobi was Tobi not Madara xD, they would be best pals, I guess?
.... we seriosuly are spiritually conencted, because aside of the fact all my ships are fucked, usually my fave characters are fucked. Or not mentioned ever again. That's a curse. and you are cursed too =='
ehehehehe, black-white characters - that goes for Supergirl too :DDDDDDDD i mean, minus Lena, who is not black, not white, not gray, she's just shit.
Tbh, haven't been into anime and manga for a long time. Still finishing Skip Beat and I'm wondering if it will ever be finished. Same goes for NaNa and DNangel. And Saiyuki. Not mentioning Berserk... sad life of manga fan, huh?

Would you do hcs on Peter and reader being like Shane and Ryan from Buzzfeed Unsolved?
oh my god i LOVE THIS
(if you didn’t read this fic about it) so when thor returns to earth with peter quill and the rest of the guardians, y/n and peter are freaking out because peter quill?? was on an episode of unsolved?? and ryan was convinced that he was abducted by aliens?? and he was RIGHT?????
they were freaking out and tried really hard not to start live streaming it right away
as a stark, y/n had a shit ton of clout online so the moment she opened her mouth about something as culturally iconic to gen z as this, twitter would break
so she and peter formulated a very specific plan: they were going to interview peter quill about his story, then invite ryan and shane and surprise them with him
peter quill was kinda shook about how he became popular because he disappeared. he was also in this weird space where he had been away from the earth for his entire life but surrounded by another alien tech
basically, he was confused as to why ppl from earth spent so many resources developing shit like buzzfeed unsolved and not space exploration
he was equally as confused as to why iron man’s kid and her spider-sticky bf boy were asking to interview him about how he was abducted
he said okay anyway because why the fuck not
peter and y/n sat peter quill in the avenger’s tower and just asked him to recount the story of how he got abducted and where’s he’s been after that. they asked him to bring proof, and because all the other guardians were unavailable, he brought a moody, teenage groot along
after the interview, y/n and peter told him they’d be right back as they went downstairs to greet their guests
getting ryan and shane to fly out to new york to meet them was (kinda) tricky. but when tony stark’s literal child publicly calls you out on twitter and invites you to interview some avengers, you fucking show up
it did help that y/n told them that tony stark was going to be at the tower the day of their interview
so in the elevator on the way up, peter and y/n are so excited they might explode, ryan is freaking out because he’s in the avengers tower, and shane is complaining because his shoes don’t match his outfit
they bring them to meet peter quill and ryan and shane freak out. for a solid hour and a half.
they then film a new unsolved video where they use the interview footage of peter quill recounting the story of how he got abducted and ryan and shane just asking him questions about his life.
then they film another video of peter quill reacting to his episode of unsolved with ryan, shane, peter, and y/n (they upload that video to y/n’s newly formed yt channel)
both videos go viral immediately.
it’s the most views buzzfeed has gotten since every single talented person on their staff left because fuck buzzfeed
that excitement for solving mysterious is addictive to y/n and peter so they keep doing it
y/n’s channel became a never used channel with the one video of peter quill reacting to his own unsolved video to her and peter investigating other pop culture rumors
they never rlly had an affinity for ghost hunting (and they didn’t want to steal ryan and shane’s show), but being teenagers, they heard a lot or random rumors and conspiracy theories that they wanted to investigate
and being avengers as well as having connections to tony fucking stark, they had the resources to investigate
so y/n and peter start a series where the investigate pop culture rumors, conspiracy theories, and urban legends
y/n tends to lean on the side of believing these rumors (because if a talking tree is staying at your place of residence, you have the tendency to believe shit like that) whereas peter was more cautious.
the first half of the video usually involved them sitting at a table, discussing the conspiracy theory, and debating its legitimacy. the second half usually involves them flying to a certain place in the world to investigate.
usually, they bring a special guest along with them. mostly because they need someone to fly them, but also protection. and it doesn’t hurt their views
sam and bucky are their most frequent guests. sam because he’s hilarious and makes every episode more chaotic and bucky because y/n and peter feel safe around him and the internet thirsts over him
they collab with ryan and shane a few times, but mostly make 20-30 min eps in their free time
one investigation they've been on was when they traveled to a small village in the middle of europe where there was said to be a portal to another part of the universe. they bring stephen strange, and he concludes that its a hoax
on another investigation, there’s this rumor that there’s a building in south america where if you jump from a certain balcony, you will “jump” into another dimension. they bring thor along to test that and he determines that it does not work
another really memorable investigation was a rumor that a lake somewhere in north america is “magnetic” and if there’s a big enough magnet, the water will actually deflect away from it. it was rumored that the us government would bury bodies under that like because you could never get to them. all the avengers went on that trip. they wanted a lake vacation but also wanted to test the dumb theory. ultimately, nothing happened but y/n and peter took turns trying to skip cap’s shield like it was flat rock
despite the internet not knowing peter parker was spider-man, they easily became obsessed with the conspiracy busting duo

[takes a deep breath in]
And another thing
If the Destroyer ate people and gained their smarticle particles then why did it fall for the most basic trap in the beginner's hunting book or whatever idk I don't hunt
Like okay
It eats entire civilizations, says the eridians
It takes all that intelligence for itself, says the Eridians
We've gotta trap it, they say
But this is a dummy easy trap to spot, they say
Let's give it bait, they say, and look pointedly at Nyriad but her eyes are empty, so they sigh and resign themselves to their job
And then they go party inside Pandora and the Destroyer actually goes in to eat them while Nyriad sits on Nekrotefeyo while she closes a big vault with glowing magic siren hands
Like
What.
(how she knew when to close it with the machine when she was halfway across the galaxy I genuinely have no idea but that's not that implausible given the Eridian tech we've already seen, so I ignore it)
Anyway
Ur telling me. That this big tentacle monster thing with the knowledge of multiple, entire civilizations (billions probably trillions of minds) combined somehow couldn't spot that obvious trap and maybe instead of going inside didn't just put a few tentacles in to grab some folk
Like its big ol brain wasn't like
'Hm. If I go in to this suspicious enclosed space after these people, it might be a trap and I might get stuck here. I should wait outside'
The way the *situation* is described it sounds like nothing more than a big mouth attached to what amounts to a predator animal that can be tricked with basic traps
Put the food in the box, when it goes in the box, shut the lid. Trapped.
Which might not even be true, because the Eridians tell (ha.) Nyriad to specifically note that it is smart enough to not be tricked by traps, unless the bait is good enough
So I have a few branching theories
The first is the basic 'the Eridians lied to Nyriad (what else is new) and the Destroyer really was a thing that just ate a bunch to the detriment of everything around it and the Eridians used Pandora + the machine to send themselves back to their home dimension while making it look like they sacrificed themselves to trick humanity'
this is sorta kinda backed up by my write up on how tychos ribs might be the actual Vault entrance, with the eridium keeping it open and how when you enter you're clearly in another dimension and not inside a moon (there are not galaxies inside moons afaik that's probably a space issue there) and how the giant eridium crystal isn't necessarily the Vault despite being named it, just a part of it that lets the Sentinel act with more power and control the area (like a simulation the VHs entered, which I insist was expanded on with the claptastic voyage dlc). I'm saying like in tps, you enter the main vault thru the elevator and thus there is no big 'walks thru a portal' situation, u just take an elevator down. Same with when u enter Pandora as a Vault. It's not a huge thing, you just enter it from one side and boom suddenly youre in another dimension. Which the Eridians most likely are from, anyway, given Nekrotefeyo means First Landing in their language. (Also how a lot of the names of locations in the Machine are about a home)
Second part that backs it up is when you open the Vault of the Destroyer in BL1, that's definitely one of those Vault traveling film things in between those rocks. It's not a big canyon like you see on Pandora in 3 that Tyreen just jumps into (see above). So *that* Vault led to somewhere, and it led to the Destroyer (emergency human feeding port for some reason). Meaning there was at least one functional gateway between those two areas. The point is that there were ways to travel into and out of the Vault of the Destroyer, you didn't always need to crack Pandora open like an egg.
Also when Tannis uses the machine, she near immediately shows that it can just. Create portals. Gameplay/story convenience or not, thats a pretty big deal because if the machine was build solely to seal Pandora, why does it have the power to create portals between two places?? Couldn't they just. Teleport the Destroyer into Pandora with a well-placed portal then close Pandora real quick with the Machine and not have to all sacrifice themselves? Shit they could have even teleported the Destroyer inside then placed two looping portals, one at the exit and one in the far back so whenever it tried to go out the exit, it was sent back to the other side of the inside of Pandora until the machine worked its magic.... Or even if they did need to bait (no.) the Destroyer in, couldn't they just use the machine to teleport themselves back out then close the portal real quick. Yeahhhh. So anyway that's what I think actually happened, but back to their home dimension so Nyriad thinks they died. I don't think Nyriad really knew what she was doing with the machine, and Tannis is a tech whiz so I'm not surprised she immediately discovered this thing had other options built in. It's possible even that the guardian watching her was doing some stuff behind the scenes (have I ever mentioned I always assumed that was Scourge. Like. The way he speaks gives off that vibe that he saw what Nyriad did and is pissed about it).
Anyway the other theory is that the Destroyer was totally aware it was a trap, but decided the knowledge of the Eridians was worth the wait.
OK so. This one isn't as backed up as the other one, but essentially if this thing is as smart as we are lead by Nyriad to believe:
It eats entire civilizations -> it gains the knowledge from everything it eats -> it has the combined knowledge of entire civilizations
Then this thing ought to be like. Pretty fucking smart right??
So why would it let the Eridians lead it into a trap like that?? The only answer I can think of is that it wanted their knowledge. They're from another dimension (tho given one Typhon line so is the Destroyer? I think I remember that right??), they have this wacky tech, they're the ones that build the prison its about to enter, and the Guardians that will guard it
Getting that knowledge could have been worth it for the Destroyer for whatever reason. Other than, like, using that info to break out of prison and wildly miscalculating, idk, it didn't seem like it was building stuff and using big smarts to eat people, just sorta giving them the munch. It could have wanted info on the Guardians, since things clearly aren't what they seem with the Seer's dialogue, so maybe it's using whatever it learned about the Guardians to control or manipulate them into controlling and manipulating other people into opening the Vault
It could have been, if it's so damn smart and did actually eat the Eridians and gain their knowledge, biding its time and waiting for the perfect moment to escape. Idk how patient something that is described as endless hunger can be, but that's another option
Ofc there is always the option that the Destroyer was just having an off day, didn't consume any coffee shops that morning, just was too sleepy, saw the opportunity to eat an entire civilization of bug people, and went for it. Maybe it was just having a bad day idk.

In response to the Send me a Fandom post, I'll start with Ben 10!
Well technically you’re the second one to ask something for that, but I’ll still answer!
The first character I fell in love with: This one’s pretty obvious. It’s gotta be the main man himself, Ben Tennyson, wielder of the Omnitrix and saviour of the universe several times over! He’s generally always interesting to watch and see how he interacts with everyone else. His arrogance and childish nature can occasionally be annoying, but overall he’s a great character.
The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Probably Eon, specifically from the Race Against Time movie. He was the only actor in that film I felt was doing an actually good job, and I really liked his story in the film. I haven’t seen much of his later iterations though.
The character that everyone else loves that I don’t: OS Vilgax. He’s definitely the most imposing version of the character, but honestly he’s not really much beyond that and I’m just not all that into him as a character. After his first episode, Secrets, I couldn’t take him all that seriously every other time he showed up for some reason.
The character I love that everyone else hates: I actually have two I could talk about here, although both are Ben’s transformations and technically not characters of their own. Firstly, I think Nanomech is awesome! In concept he’s great, and although it’s used as a joke more often than not, I actually really like him in the show. He’s like a cyber fairy dude and I think that’s awesome. Secondly, Reboot Wildvine is in my opinion the better Wildvine. I just like him way more.
The character I used to love but don’t any longer: Cooper. I thought he was pretty cool in the OS, both in terms of his powers and his personality. I kinda wish he was more of a series mainstay at that point. But then AF decided to ruin him by making him into a fricking incel and it sucks. And a small personal issue, but I honestly thought he hadn’t really aged at all since the OS and was expecting them to bring it up. But I guess he’s just naturally short. Which wouldn’t even be an issue if UA didn’t make him all big and bulky.
The character I would totally smooch: Charmcaster, easily. Because I am a massive simp and badass hot evil magic ladies are the best thing in the whole world. Also she’s just really cool in pretty much every episode I’ve ever seen her in so far.
The character I’d want to be like: Gwen probably. She always sees the best in people and is always willing to go for the non-violent approach more often than anyone else, and she’s always logically planning and working out plans for what to do, unlike Ben and Kevin who tend to just want to muscle through more often than not.
The character I’d slap: Grandpa Max, because that dude has a lot of shit to answer for, like sending people into the Null Void without trial, particularly Kevin, the son of his actual old Plumber partner. He knew this and did NOTHING to help Kevin in the OS, and sent him into an alternate dimension prison. Not to say that Kevin in the OS was particularly good, but the fact that he pretty much never tried to do anything really just bothers me the more I think about it.
A pairing that I love: My favourite ship in the show itself is probably Gwevin, because I feel they have really solid relationship development throughout the show and play off each other extremely well. But if we’re allowed to get non-canon, I really love BenRex and BenRook. BenRex is honestly just a really cool ship to me and I still think Rook Blonko is the best OV love interst even though he isn’t an actual love interest.
A pairing that I despise: BenKai. It was handled like utter dogshit in Omniverse, to the point where Kai comes off as genuinely abusive to Ben at times. And overall I’m not a fan of how they had to retcon the show’s time travel rules just to make it work and forced this destiny angle onto it. I prefer characters getting together based on mutual feelings and development, not some external force drawing them together.
Thanks for the ask, Jamma!

Alright, so I mentioned in discord yesterday that Thalassa’s been dimension hopping. (We all have that one OC.) She’s currently hanging out in MDZS/Untamed world and causing chaos - as she does. @starofthemourning asked what specifically she was getting up to. So have a ramble!
- Thalassa was just minding her business, cruising through Death’s realm as she does from time to time, visiting past children and friends, helping newly deceased souls cross over, etc., etc., when she gets yoinked into a completely different land of the living.
- Thalassa: Toto, we are not in Eos anymore.
- She’s been summoned into the body of a young woman by a group of demonic cultivators that pushed some buttons they should not have. They are a cult, because of course they are, and Thalassa has no idea what’s happening, but they are cuckoo bananapuffs and leaning WAY too hard on the cult thing - virgin sacrifices, child sacrifices, torture, lotsa bad things. Thalassa in her new, 100% human body, says no.
- Enter JC! Who, as we know, hunts down demonic cultivators with a single mindedness that is probably more than a little unhealthy. And this is...I’m saying like 3 years after WWX died, so some things as still fresh (and also, other people are still alive to react to Thalassa and her...Thalassa-ness).
- JC arrives to find that Thalassa has already solved the problem. Very thoroughly. This strange woman covered in blood, with lines of fire burning across her skin and a smile that’s all teeth and gold, gold eyes that burn with power, escorting children and missing travelers out of the smoking ruins of their former prison, carrying the dead and dying with her. Because she cannot save them, but they will die free.
- JC is immediately Suspicious. This woman is not a cultivator. She is also not human. He is sure of it. He absolutely cannot prove it. (The body she’s currently inhabiting is human, she used to be human in body and soul and still is to an extent - she’s not lying.)
- Thalassa ends up being dragged to Lotus Pier along with some of the kids she saved, because orphans and we all know that Thalassa can and will adopt everything that breathes if it stands still long enough. She has technically done nothing wrong and has earned the gratitude and good will of quite a few people, so it would look bad if JC just disappeared her. But Something Is Afoot, so JC isn’t about to let her go gallivanting across the countryside either.
- Thalassa notices pretty quick that these people bow a lot. In greeting, in farewell, to show respect. Thalassa is Not About That. She is the Sea and the Sea Does Not Bow. It’s not such a big deal at first because the circumstances of meeting are...messy. But once they’re in Lotus Pier, people start noticing that she never bows, even after they’ve bowed to her, and they are Offended. The only ones that are not are the kids that she adopted. No one says anything at first, but they all make spectacular pissy faces that Thalassa delights in. JC eventually snaps at her, snarling about respect, and Thalassa calmly replies that if she ever bows to him or anyone else, they will have earned it. (”I have only ever bowed to my Mothers, to Death and to the Light of Dawn, and no other.”) JC, knowing that she’s not human, but not knowing exactly how, doesn’t bring it up again.
- Thalassa likes Lotus Pier. It’s bright and colorful and loud and surrounded by water. It’s not as good as her waters, of course, but it’s nice to be able to swim when the mood strikes. It’s nice to be able to swim with the children, nice to know that everyone learns to swim at Lotus Pier and that they take it seriously. The first time she catches JC teaching the kids she brought with her to swim she stares because he’s not gentle exactly, but...softer. These people operate on different rules than her, but it’s nice to know that somethings always stay the same.
- It takes Lotus Pier a little while to figure out that they’ve been adopted, but they get there. Thalassa is the weird big sister/aunt/mother figure that will be getting you into trouble one moment and then helping out get out of it the next. She doesn’t bow and they don’t make her. She’s chaos in human skin, but some of them (far, far too few) remember that Lotus Pier has always had a soft spot for chaos gremlins and their antics. It brings smiles to their faces when they see this strange whirlwind of a woman trail after their Sect Leader, tugging at his sleeves and leaning into his space and laughing with a smile brighter than the sun when he swats at her, a secret grin tugging at the corners of his scowl.
- At some point, Thalassa meets other sects. It goes...well it goes. For maximum chaos, let’s say its a discussion conference. At Jinlintai. Which brings us right back to the Thalassa and bowing thing.
- JC and YunmengJiang have been dealing with Thalassa’s bullshit for - months? a year? who knows, it’s been awhile - at this point and know that it’s better to just Roll With It.
- The rest of the cultivation world has very much not learned this lesson.
- The Lan are Offended. So Offended. Depending on the Lan, at least. LXC is pretty chill and would probably also be offended, but not let it bother him much. LQR leans so much on propriety that he might just qi deviate. LWJ also leans pretty heavily on propriety but he is also that person who is So Done With Everyone’s Bullshit that he’ll just walk right out of the room so who knows.
- The rules of propriety! Broken!! Without cause or care!!! The Lans are flipping their shit. Quietly. And with great dignity.
- The Nie also kinda offended, but not nearly as much as the Lan. It’s not often that a woman will look Sect Leader Nie in the eye and refuse to bow to him, but NMJ can admire the guts it takes. He’s also the most likely to bring it up and Thalassa will calmly tell him what she tells everyone who asks - that she does not bow. Most especially not for social niceties that mean next to nothing at the end of the day.
- She absolutely bonds with NHS over the arts. He shows off his fans, she does a dance or two with them, they ramble at each other, they are now best friends. (JC is in the background being a Dispair because he knows, he knows, the NHS is an Enabler. He should never have allowed them to meet.)
- The Jin...well. Thalassa is a woman. Thalassa is very pretty. Thalassa knows she is very pretty and flirts as she pleases and moves with a grace that draws many a eye. And JGS...is JGS.
- You know that post that’s buried in my STotS story tag where Mera, literal Queen of Atlantis, breaks a man’s arm because he put his hands on her without her permission? I’m not saying that happens...but that 100% happens.
- JGS tries to be all smooth and Thalassa is Not Having It. She is well aware that 1) this jackass is married AND absolutely does not have the permission of his wife to fuck around and 2) JGS has a reputation among women. And it is not one that endears JGS to her.
- So he puts his hands on her. Pulls her close and tries to flirt. She tells him to let go. He smiles in that ‘aw you’re playing hard to get, how cute’ way that he probably thinks is charming but really wants to make women punch his face in, and gropes her. So Thalassa breaks his arm, snaps it in her hand and doesn’t let go. She uses the pain and the leverage of her grip to force him to his knees before her.
- It draws attention. JGS doesn’t strike me as the kind of guy who gets in physical fights much - he probably doesn’t have much pain tolerance. He’s likely screaming. And you know cultivators are trigger happy little shits so swords are drawn. Thalassa smiles, all teeth.
- JGS is probably demanding that JC ‘put his woman in her place’. JC, having witnessed what happened and far less inclined to put up with this man than he was in the immediate aftermath of the Sunshot Campaign when all he had was the ashes of his sect, is having None Of It. He’s like well if she’s my woman why are you touching her and if she said no, why are you still touching her?
- NMJ approves. JGS deserves this. He’s had it coming for years. He is so happy he gets to witness this. As far as he’s concerned JGS brought this on himself and if he can’t handle it, maybe he should try keeping his dick in his pants.
- Thalassa is not impressed. She’s heard the titles thrown around. Sect Leader, Chief Cultivator, Your Excellency. She is well aware that leaders do not represent the entirety of the people, yet these people overthrew a tyrant and let this take his place? (”So you allow an oathbreaking rapist to lead you. This explains so much.”)
- JGY steps up and tries to smooth over the situation. Thalassa does not allow it. (”The next time he touches me, I will cut off his cock. If any woman he’s touched comes to me for help, I will rip out his intestines and strangle him with them.”)
- The Jiang are the only ones who know that she means this 100% literally. More than a few of them are okay with her following through. JC is standing at her shoulder, glowering at the whole room because Thalassa is one of His People at this point and you better believe he’s not going to let someone, not even another Sect Leader, not even the Chief Cultivator, disrespect her this way.
- JGY continues to deescalate with varying levels of success. (Thalassa is old. She is old and has lived through much. She knows what a viper looks like no matter how honeyed the words or how silver the tongue or how sweet the smile. This child thinks he can manipulate her. How cute.)
- In the end, no action is taken against Thalassa. JC is loud in his defense of her actions and NMJ and LXC side with him. JGS was in the wrong and his behavior was disgraceful. The Jin have no choice but to concede fault.
- Thalassa may or may not spend the rest of her time in Jinlintai teaching as many women as she can how to cripple a man twice their size.

Hello! I’d love to see what you have written for the Good Omens/Doctor Who story! ☺️
yay! okay this is literally just copy/pasted from my doc for this fic (about 2k), so the plot probably won’t be obvious but hopefully it’s still enjoyable to read! i just don’t think i’m ever gonna finish it because i never finished good omens
without further ado...
take it up with the badlands
summary: If he wants her to stay, he’ll have to fight those who shaped the universe. And they could, he knows. He is an immortal demon, no longer bent to the will of heaven or hell. She is the Bad Wolf, Goddess of Time and Space, capable of feats even he can barely imagine. That’s not even in question. The question is: would she ever actually want to stay with him?
Deep down, Crowley knows the answer. And it’s not a happy one.
The white haired man looks her up and down, a mask of evaluation on his face, before grimacing in distaste. “Oh, I suppose I know why you’re here,” he announces when he has finished deducing. “Wish you people would leave him alone,” he adds under his breath.
Rose just smiles, playing along. Maybe the man this man speaks of is someone who can help her - the reason Bad Wolf sent her here. “Sorry, can I just wait for him here, then?” She twists one of the hoops in her ears, giving the bookseller a bright grin.
Instead of looking reassured, the gentleman looks even more unsettled.
-
“I've been working on this top secret project for years now,” she tells them. “The Dimension Cannon - supposed to get me back to my proper universe. Only, someone noticed I wasn’t aging that quick, so they somehow got my blood from my files and ran some tests. Still don’t know what they found, but a couple days later my stepdad was deposed. He only had the resources to get my mum and my little brother to a safe house before they killed him.” She swallows hard. “I was tortured for about four months.”
Aziraphale murmurs a sympathetic “oh dear!” but makes no move to comfort her. Crowley tries to refrain from rolling his eyes: angels have a great sense of empathy, but really know shit about showing it.
“Anyway, I escaped. Been on the run for a month or so - saw something in your window that made me think this was a safe place.” Something in her eyes tells Crowley that she won’t tell them what it was, not yet. “I figure something about this universe makes me age slower, but they thought I was alien. After all the crazy shit that’s happened in the last decade, they felt betrayed, I guess.”
Crowley shrugs. “You are, though.”
Rose starts. “What?”
“You’re an alien,” Crowley clarifies unhelpfully.
Aziraphale takes over. “What Crowley is trying to say, my dear, is that you are neither angel nor demon, but you are an immortal. Quite a powerful one, I sense.”
Rose’s jaw nearly hits the floor.
-
“Well, love,” Crowley drawls, “seeing as you’re probably going to be here awhile, you might as well come for drinks.” He drapes a loose arm over her shoulder, leading her out the door as Aziraphale closes up shop behind them.
“Are you tempting right now?” Rose teases, but he can see the shock and pain that still hide behind those golden eyes. Crowley’s never had mortal attachments, and he’s not the type to be empathetic, but he still acknowledges that it must be difficult. He’s only known this newly immortal human for an hour, but he can already see how strong she is. “‘Cause I’d rather have a friend,” she admits.
Crowley, thankfully, is saved from responding by Aziraphale’s gentle hand on Rose’s shoulder. “Ah, my dear, I’m quite sure we’ll get along splendidly! My demon friend here is slower to trust, but he’ll come around.”
“Oi, right here,” Crowley grumbles, but he manages a soft smirk at Rose as they stride off to their favorite bar. He’ll get to the bottom of this anomaly if it kills him.
-
To Crowley, Rose is a walking contradiction.
She has a dark sense of humor and a penchant for danger and trouble, with a generally mischievous air that Crowley has always associated with demons. Yet, her staunch sense of right and wrong and blinding optimism could only belong to an angel. Well, Aziraphale, at least. The rest of the lot are right bastards.
And she’s so far out of the rest of the humans’ league that she might as well be in another universe.
From one, Crowley mentally corrects. Then he wonders when this little goddess-human prototype began to take up so much space in his conscious thought. The space usually reserved for good tea and terrorizing plants and tight jeans - now filled up with thoughts about Rose Tyler’s bright laugh and bad jokes and uncertain fate.
-
“There’s something you’re not telling us, love,” Crowley observes.
“Yeah,” she admits, a soft blush blooming on her cheeks. “Well, I guess it doesn’t matter, does it? I trust you.” Crowley makes an impatient shooing motion with his hands. “Yeah, okay, so in my universe, I sort of absorbed the time vortex? Long story short, I controlled all of Time for a few minutes - the Doctor said I would’ve burned, but he took it out of me.” Rose shrugs. “Anyway, the torture I went through.. that’s how I discovered I can kinda… control it, I guess.”
“Control it?” Crowley leans forward into her space, taking his hands out of his pockets.
Rose gestures around. “It’d be easier if I showed you - Aziraphale, do you have anything in the shop you’re not attached to?”
Crowley nearly loses it at his friend’s offended and very concerned expression. Oh, this girl is only proving herself to be more and more precious.
-
“You’re God, huh?” Rose knows, gazing intently at the shadowy figure in the corner of her dream.
The figure straightens, but Rose still can’t make out any singular feature. It’s a woman, surely, but nothing else. “Bad Wolf, you do not belong in this universe,” God says, and Rose rolls her eyes.
“Took ya kind of long to figure that out, yeah?”
God shrugs. “We couldn’t decide where you fit in with the Plan. And now We’ve decided you don’t fit, so We are sending you back.”
Rose's heart jumps at these words. “Back?” she stutters, “to the Doctor?”
“That’s what you want, isn’t it?”
Rose squints at Her. “You’re not doing it out of the kindness of your heart though, are ya?” God is silent, and then Rose knows. “You’re afraid,” she realizes. “You’re afraid of the Big Bad Wolf.”
“We have no fear,” God says, but it is like She is shouting in Rose’s head.
Rose’s eyes flash gold. “I take your atoms…”
“ENOUGH.”
Rose wakes sweaty and exhilarated to the sweetest sound she has ever heard. To the sound of the TARDIS.
-
Crowley takes one look at the Doctor and the way he holds Rose’s hand, keeping her slightly behind him in a completely unnecessary protective stance that fires up Crowley’s indignation - he left her, he left her, he has no right to protect her - before shoving him up against the wall in a chokehold. If Rose hadn’t been panicking about the possibility of them killing each other, she would probably be a little turned on. The man she’s loved for years and the demon that made her smile again, both with the body and face of her dreams? It’s probably a good thing she’d only ever think about that possibility in hindsight.
“I fell,” Crowley growls, “through ash and fire. All for pride. Rose Tyler, all annoyingly empathetic and stupidly optimistic and fucking brilliant that she is - she helped me find peace. And that makes things very simple. If you hurt her, if she feels one ounce of pain that you had it in your power to prevent, I will fall to God’s feet and beg forgiveness for my sins just to travel between universes and rain hellfire down upon you.” His words have the same, ancient feel to them as the Doctor’s, the same cadence as holy scripture, as absolute truth, and Rose shivers. His voice is so low and heated that when she steps close between them and lays a hand on his chest to push him off the Doctor, even she can barely hear it. “And I’m quite good at that,” he adds, smirking down at Rose, who shakes her head at him with a soft smile on her face.
“It’s been a ride, gentlemen,” Rose says, sparing Aziraphale a friendly nod before gazing up at Crowley. “Thank you.” She rubs the fabric of the henley over Crowley’s heart, and he groans in frustration.
“C’mon, love,” he tries, “look at him! I’m sure I can give you at least twice as many orgasms.” Rose giggles, used to Crowley’s brand of humor, but doesn’t miss the sharp noise that the Doctor makes behind her. “I’ll make you see heaven,” he promises, but she can tell by his eyes that he already knows her answer.
The Doctor moves up behind her, twining an arm around her and pressing his palm to her stomach. “And with me, she’ll see stars,” his voice is low and dark, and Rose knows that they need to get onto the TARDIS before a full out brawl occurs in front of her.
So she takes the Doctor’s hand from her stomach, pressing a kiss to the back of it before shooing him back to the TARDIS. He goes, but he watches Crowley with sharp eyes.
“You’re better than you believe, yeah?” she whispers to the demon in front of her, cupping his cheek gently. “If I was meant to be here, in this universe, I’d be the one to show it to you. So you just gotta get back out there and find this universe’s match for you. I know they’re out there.” Her eyes dart to Aziraphale for a moment, wondering if something might eventually come from that. There’s history there, and they have the rest of eternity to figure it out. “Rely on your best friend, yeah?” She adds, wondering if a hint could turn into a catalyst.
“Rose-” Crowley begins hoarsely, before Rose dives her fingers into his ginger hair and pulls his lips down to meet hers.
It’s a soft, chaste peck, nothing like that drunken night, but the possibilities hit them both like a freight train. It’s not hard to imagine their endless days: going for drinks with Aziraphale, lounging at his bookshop, Rose following his angry rants at his plants with a soft touch to their leaves, Crowley tempting ordinary humans into sin and Rose tempting Crowley into bed. In fact, it’s easy, and when Rose feels the hint of tears at the corners of her eyes, she pulls away. “Bye, love,” she murmurs, borrowing his nickname before giving him a quick squeeze. His arms don’t have time to come around her before she is walking back to the Doctor, who brushes his lips against her forehead before she walks past him and into the TARDIS.
Crowley ignores the lump in his throat, but before he can walk away, a low tenor stops him.
“I’m the last of my kind,” the Doctor is saying, eyes dark and intent. “I’m the killer of my kind. I’ve spent my life trying to do the best thing for the universe, but rest assured, I’ll now be doing the best thing for Rose. Forever.”
Crowley nods in agreement with this promise, before letting a smile quirk at his lips. “Have you considered whether she’ll let you?” He asks.
The Doctor grins full on at this. “Oh,” he says, stepping into his transdimensional blue box. “I can see why she liked you.”
With a groan and wheeze, the Bad Wolf disappears from this universe. God is satisfied, but Crowley sets out to get really, really drunk.
He won’t stop living, though, he refuses to disappoint his Rose like that. No, he’ll find his match.
After a few bottles of Scotch.

“Did you love him?” The Doctor asks quietly, weeks later, when they have regained some sense of stability.
If she had been the same person she was when she started traveling with him, she might’ve lied. Been afraid to disturb the peace, the delicate tightrope that she and the Doctor always seem to balance on. But now, Rose is different. She understands relationships, understands love and trust and commitment, a little better. She knows the Doctor would never leave her, never let her leave unless he was absolutely sure it would truly make her happy. They’ve already hashed it all out, amongst tears and rage and late night nibbles, sitting at the foot of the TARDIS’ doors and dangling their feet into the cosmos. After everything they’ve been through, honesty comes easy.
“I could’ve,” she admits. She saves the waxing poetic, the memories of the dark quips and burning hugs and blunt speech, for their next visit with Jack. She’ll be honest with the Doctor, but she won’t set out to hurt him. “He’s a good man- demon, I mean,” she corrects. “Misunderstood and angry at the universe. He deserves a love that didn’t already promise someone else forever.” The Doctor reaches over, twining their fingers together. “And I’d never regret that promise, yeah?”
“Good,” the Doctor whispers, tugging her close. “Cause that’s how long you’re gonna stay with me.”
