Is it just I or this lady right here is just another queer in the closet?
Her lyrics remind me of a certain 30 something blonde who has been disguising her love for women in titles like this one up here!
Or maybe, I am just gay✌😉
P.S. Her voice keeps me tripping high!

This is kinda revolutionary? Just a few years ago destiel was queerbaiting fans to superhell but now? NOW? A show saw the fans HC a character as queer with valid evidence and instead went "you know what? You're right. We didn't originally plan this for them but we see you". Then four episodes into the season, canonized his queerness. Not the last second, Not the last Episode. the BEGINNING of the season, with time to expand AND we know we're getting another season after this. Just look how far we've come.

Righteous Torrence 'Chevy' Hill was a 35 year old Black Trans Man who was murdered in Atlanta, Georgia last week.
He was the owner of an LGBTQ salon, meant to give Black/Queer folks a safe place to just be.
He was a father, a brother, a son, a friend.

We need better queer representation in shows movies and books
We need queer POC
We need people who don't want to label their gender or sexuality
We need trans people who's transition goals aren't to look cis
We need queer people with diverse religions
We need queer people who use pronouns that don't "match" their gender
We need aromantic and asexual characters
We need disabled queer people
We need queer people who use multiple labels for themselves
We need queer people who's entire personality isn't being queer
We need queer people who aren't just there because of romance
We need real and diverse queer people in the media

So far, chances of KOSA being enacted is 31% according to the site linked below.
Tumblr media
Let's get that fucker down to zero, guys!!
Stuff to help us do that is linked here!
The call scripts linked below were originally for Congressional representatives, but now that the bill is in committee consideration by Senate Commerce, you should call your Senators instead and you can use the scripts for them. Also, when calling your Democrat senators, make sure to add that Senator Blackburn explicitly stated in interview that it would be used to "protect children from the transgender." I think it's pretty clear that this is not meant to protect children. It's just going to harm children further, especially trans children.
(Article below with a video of the interview embedded.)
Please help stop this bill in its tracks. Reblog, donate, call your senators, and keep an eye on the bill's chances of being passed. We can't stop now. 31% is still kind of a big number. We need to shrink those chances by a lot more.

i still remember clearly one of my first interactions at pride with a 40-something member of the lgbt community. I asked him if I could take a picture of him with the bear flag (because I was really happy to see it irl for the first time!) and he asked, "are you feeling like a she-bear a little bit?"
and being gay almost exclusively online back then aside from maybe two friends, I was shocked by that question. me? a 19 years old kid who thought themselves to be cis and bi? I was basically the polar opposite of what a bear is.
but now, six years later, I see it. I'm fat, I'm hairy, I'm shamelessly a dyke, I'm masc. yes I'm butch, but fuck it, I'm also a she-bear. that guy was right. I hope he's doing alright and he knows he's changed my view on labels forever.

Note
where did the term “lesbian” come from
Lesbians were long thought to have been named after the isle of Lesbos, home of the poetess Sappho who wrote in praise of women. Modern studies however suggest that this is inaccurate, as most lesbians have their own individual names.

You do not owe your partner(s) sex. I mostly see this passed around in the asexual community, and it absolutely needs emphasis there, but this applies to anyone of any orientation. You never owe your partner(s) sex under any circumstance.
If your sex drive or libido is lower than your partner’s, you may feel obligated to “keep up” with them to make them happy. But you have a right to say no, or not be in the mood, or be too tired, or just not want to right now. Your partner(s) should respect your right to say no and your bodily autonomy.
If your partner(s) try to harass, manipulate, or coerce you into having sex when you say no, they’re an asshole. Having said yes in the past does not mean you can never say no. It is not your responsibility or obligation to provide sex. You do not need to violate your own boundaries to make someone else happy. Your partner(s) should respect your right to say no, and if they don’t, they don’t deserve you.
Your body belongs to you, and you decide what’s best for your sexual health. Happy Pride

I recall saying this before, but it bears repeating:
There could be a billion trans people in the world and it still wouldn't be a bad thing because being trans is not a bad thing. Even if the rate of people discovering they are trans is "disproportionate" to trends from decades ago, that is not a bad thing. In fact, it's a natural consequence for there being more trans people being able to stay alive, and, overall, being able to live in a slightly more tolerant world. You'd only see that as a bad thing if you actively didn't want trans people to either live or live a life that facilitates wellness.

People often complain about "how many genders there are". When you go through school, you learn that there are three states of matter. You also learn that there are two genders. Of course, this is not the reality. You may learn that plasma is a fourth state of matter, and that there are transgender or nonbinary people.
Let's take a look at the true number of states of matter...
Tumblr media
I feel that if Bose-Einstein condensate is a valid state of matter, then girlflux is a valid label.
The real world is FAR from simple. Not even matter is binary (or quaternary).

You can say that representation and diversity doesn't matter or that its 'cringe' or argue about how it is or isn't good enough, but tell that to my 50 year old mother. Who binge watched heartstopper (of her own accord) and is now on her 3rd re-watch. Tell that to my mother who has since sat me down and had serious conversations asking me about my experiences and apologising for how she reacted when I came out. Tell that to my mother who once said she would never understand trans people and that she was 'just too old for that' and couldn't accept them, and has now realised what that attitude does to kids. Who has made facebook posts about how beautiful the story is abd how she wishes it came out when she was a kid and told all of her friends to watch it for the sake of their own children. Who is now researching ways to promote inclusion and education surrounding gender identity in the primary school she works at.
You can say it doesn't matter and that people can never change. But you'll be wrong.

I'm just sitting here thinking about Nex. They were 16. I'm 14. My best friend of over 10 years is 16. We're both trans. I can't stop thinking about it. Every time I just feel a combination of terrified, useless, alone, disgusted, and enraged. It's just.....
If something happened to Arte because he was trans...hell, at all...I'd be dead...
I love you so much Arte.....I hope nothing happens to you or any of our friends....
And I hope that maybe, somehow there's an afterlife where Nex is happy and free to be themself. Maybe they're in a life where they can grow up again and not have such a cruel thing happen. Maybe they're okay now....I really hope there's so way that, even after death, they're okay...and happy....
