timely reminder that we stigmatize women’s “geriatric pregnancies” but conveniently forget that the father’s age matters as well
(I’m assuming Musk didn’t use sperm he froze 25 years ago or whatever)
Innate: How the Wiring of Our Brains Shapes Who We Are (Kevin Mitchell, 2018):
“Not surprisingly, paternal age is also strongly correlated with risk of genetic disease in the offspring.
This has long been known for rare genetic conditions of all sorts, but has also recently been recognized for common conditions like autism and schizophrenia, where risk to offspring of fathers over 45 is about four times that of offspring of fathers under 25.”

and considering Musk’s questionable social skills and the inheritability of autism, I’m interested to know how many of his nine children end up on the spectrum
The Pattern Seekers: How Autism Drives Human Invention (Simon Baron-Cohen, 2020)
“Consider the remarkably successful physicist Stephen Hawking, who has an autistic grandchild.
Or Elon Musk, perhaps the world’s most famous innovator and inventor, who has an autistic child.
These anecdotes hint that hyper-systemizing grandparents and parents are more likely to have an autistic child or grandchild. (…)
I had been hearing anecdotal reports that autism was much more common in Silicon Valley since at least 1997.
I had also read an article anecdotally suggesting that autism was more common among children of alumni of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
If these rumors were backed up by data, they could confirm the genetic link between hyper-systemizing and autism.
And then, in 2003, I received an interesting email from the former president of the MIT Alumni Association, Brian Hughes, who told me that among his alumni, autism rates were anecdotally reported as high as 10 percent, not the usual 1 to 2 percent.”
The Science of Evil: On Empathy and the Origins of Cruelty (Simon Baron-Cohen, 2011)
“For example, parents of children with autism show mild difficulties in reading the mind in the eyes of others.
They also show a similar pattern of underactivity in regions of the empathy circuit in the brain when reading other people’s emotions and thoughts from the face.
Equally, siblings of children with autism exhibit intermediate activation of the amygdala, between autistic and normal levels, during face-processing, implicating genetic factors.
Parents of children with autism are also overrepresented in systemizing professions, such as engineering.”

Dancing with our Hands Tied- The Mess You Wanted because We’re Gravity [Part L]
Logistical Info:
Remember we’re looking at words in the lyrics of Question… to try to decipher who and what and when.
We’ve almost gone through the entire song, pulling lyrics containing the same words to get a sort of consensus or feeling about Taylor’s intention.
Now that we’re toward the end of Question… lyrics, we need to address the central part of the song: Kiss in a crowded room. And…

Some more system pride icons 'cause we wanted to~
Endogenic: A system that formed for some reason other than trauma. Not exclusive to systems without DID/OSDD.
Innate: An innate system is a system which was created from birth or was formed from traits they've had since birth. The term was coined as an alternative to protogenic. However, unlike protogenic, it doesn't include unknown origins. Endogenic is an umbrella term which includes innate systems.
Compartmentgenic: A system origin where the system is intentionally or unintentionally created to compartmentalize!!! Not always to compartmentalize trauma. It could just be to compartmentalize emotions or interests!!!
Assimulogenic: An origin of plurality that involves gaining plurality due to assimilation or becoming plural because you are surrounded by plurals, very close with a plural, look up to a plural, or for any other reason one's subconscious would begin to assimilate. This is not a willogenic origin, meaning you do not chose to become plural, but it can be related to a common feeling of whistfulness in *wishing* you were plural or you were like the system that you are close with
