The pitter-patter of tiny feet against the extortionate floor hits your ears before the sound of a soft, cherub voice. 
“Mommy?” Evelyn calls out.
“I’m in here, honey.” You answer from the living-room, placing your book on your lap. 
She walks through, clad in a boxy patriot baby tee, her pampers, and pink socks. Evidently, it’s a very chill day in the Evans household. Beside her, her Mickey Mouse stuffie drags along the floor. 
“Hi mommy,” she waves her little hand as she comes closer. 
“Hi sweet pea. Is your cartoon all finished?”
She nods a yes. 
You go to respond, but she speaks first. You can tell a thought has popped into her mind with the way her eyes widen.
“Where daddy?” She looks around the room as she asks. His snuggly, strong figure is nowhere in sight, only his mug from earlier. 
“He’s working out in the gym downstairs.”
“Okay!” She turns swiftly, making her way to the basement.
Evelyn makes her way to the basement, down the steps carefully, with one hand clasped around the railing at all times. She walks into the expansive room filled with everything you need to exercise. It always makes it easier for days like this, where you or Chris can workout at home. Or have his personal trainer meet him there. 
“Daddy?” Evelyn calls out. 
Chris is in a prone position, his body supported on his palms and toes of his shoes. His chain clinks against the mat. With his biceps bulging and face glossed with sweat; Chris doesn’t hear the sound of his name until two pink socks stand in his view. 
Chris sits up and pulls his earbuds out. 
“You alright, honey?”
“Hi daddy,” she waves.
“Hi honey” he smiles and chuckles. 
“What are you doing?” She asks and slightly tilts her head to the side. 
Chris tilts his head too, as a quip. “Working out, so I'm all healthy, and can fight all the bad guys.”
“Me too!” 
“You want to be healthy too?”
“No, fight bad guys.”
Of course, Chris thinks to himself. 
“C’mere my brave girl.” Chris grasps her by her sides, tickling her protruding tummy as she squirms in his hold. “We’re gonna start with pushups. So you gotta get on the floor like this..”
She listens intently, but struggles, of course. But that was what her father’s support was for. In the end, she ends up with her butt in the air, unable to get her body flat like her father. But she pushes up and down on her arm, smiling up at Chris.
“I do it!” She laughs. 
“Look at you, you’re gonna beat all the bad guys’ butts.” 
He pats her diaper bottom before getting into position so he can continue. They workout side-by-side. A toddler and her father, the imagery almost ridiculous in the juxtaposition between the two. 
It only takes one set of ten push-ups, before he feels small hands on his back and a little grunt of her trying to lift her body onto him. So he drops his body into a plank, on his knuckles. And she plops herself on her father’s back, gleefully and giggly. 
“Ready?”
“Ready!” But it’s all muddled since her filled cheek is flat against his back. Her arms hanging against the side of his body, feet laid out straight, and her Mickey Mouse stuffy is left behind on the floor. 
He pushes up and down, slowly, cautious as not to disrupt her too much. But she could care less as she laughs, at some point wrapping her arms around his neck. 
“Daddy strong!”
“He has to be,” he answers with a laugh. “How else am I gonna protect you and mom, hm?”
“Dodger.” She answers seriously. 
“That’s true,” he rasps, his breath picking up as he continues to chat and workout. 
Some time passes before he gets close to the ground again. “Ride over.” He jokes. 
His toddler slides off his back to stand next to him
“Are you ready for the next part?” He asks. 
“Yeah!” She claps her hands together and jumps in excitement.
Chris walks over to the rack of dumbbells. He picks up the set of fifty and one five pound dumbbells. He sets the smallest in front of her and holds his in each hand.
“We’re just gonna lift some weights.”
Chris knows there’s no way his three-year-old would be able to lift the dumbbell, but she’s as stubborn as a mule and wants to be involved in every shape and form of her parents’ lives. While Chris does his bicep curls, he cherishes the way his little one stares at the dumbbell for a little too long, then peeks up at him in question. 
“You got it,” he encourages, a lopsided smile on his lips.
So she goes for it. 
She uses both her small hands to grasp the handle. She tries with all her little might, a small squeak past her lips represents her efforts…
Toot. 
“Oops.” She stands to her full height, an innocent look masking her face accompanied by an embarrassed grin. 
“You toot?” Chris asks in hysterics. 
“Wasn’t me,” she crosses her arms over her chest. “Dodger!” 
Chris can’t help but lean back as laughter takes over his body. She’s precious, he thinks to himself. Taking in her distraught face, puffed out cheeks, and furrowed eyebrows. 
“Not me, daddy!”
“Okay, okay,” he drops the dumbbells to pick up her upset figure. “You don’t gotta be embarrassed,” he dotes and kisses her cheek.

It’s three in the afternoon before you know it. Chris always finishes his workout by three, so by this time you go to the gym with a strawberry coconut protein milkshake— and a strawberry shake in your other hand, since presumably Eve had joined her father. 
You walk into the sound of a familiar, deep laugh which brings an immediate smile to your face. And heat on your cheeks at the sight of a post-workout Chris. 
“Hi,” You greet the two as you walk in. 
“Look who’s here,” Chris turns towards you and wraps an arm around your waist to pull you closer. “Hi,” his eyes brighten at the sight of you and he pulls you in for a chaste kiss. 
“Hi, mommy,” Evelyn recovers quickly, a bright smile on her face as she waves.
“Hi, honey.” You kiss her cheek. “Did you have fun working out with dad?”
“Yes.”
You hold up both cups (one smaller and decorated with Bluey). Chris grabs Eve’s cup and hands it to her before grabbing his. He takes a sip, always looking forward to his wife’s smoothies. They’re always the perfect consistency and garnished with whatever fruit she has used. 
With your hand free, it naturally falls to the nape of Chris’ neck. Your fingers running through his soft locks. 
Eve is quick to take a sip, a milk mustache left behind her in haste. 
“What do we say?” Chris reminds her.
“Thanks, mommy!”
“Thank you, sweetheart.”
“Of course. Anything for my babies,” you squish their cheeks in jest.

The 3 Best Pilates Exercises: For a toned body

1.Teaser
This exercise is a Pilates classic. It takes strength, flexibility, balance, and control to perform it. And it’s not an exercise you want to miss out on if you’re in the business of performing Pilates for core strength. So, how do you do it?
Start by lying on your back.
Perform a simple ab curl. At the same time, lift your head up and off the ground.
Also, at the same time (this is where coordination and balance come into play), bring your knees slightly back, so they bend over the top of your hips. 
As your upper body rises, straighten your legs at a 45-degree angle.
Reach your arms straight up toward your feet.
It should look like a ‘V’ shape at this point.
Aim to hold this shape for about 5 breaths. 
Then, slowly roll back into the starting position.
2.Criss-Cross
Want to engage almost all your core muscles in one Pilates move? The criss-cross beats out all exercises! When it comes to Pilates for core strength. It’s a tough one! And if you’re new to Pilates or exercise in general, it may pay to hold off on this one – at least until you gain a bit more core strength. How do you do it?
Lie face up on a mat or a comfortable surface. 
Place both hands behind your head with your elbows wide. 
Curl your head slightly up.
Bend your right leg and bring your left elbow almost to touch your right knee.
At the same time, extend your left leg.
Then, switch sides – bringing your right elbow to your left knee while extending your right leg straight.
Continue to alternate sides for 10-20 repetitions.
There are many more exercises in Pilates for core strength.
3.Plank Leg Lift
This core exercise targets your abdominals and your glutes. It also requires the use of stabilizer muscles throughout the back and the shoulders. It’s your basic plank with a twist. Here’s how you do it:
Begin in a high plank. Your hands should be right below your shoulders and your body should form a straight line from your head to your toes. 
Make sure your hips don’t sag! Keep your abdominals engaged.
Squeeze your glutes, and lift one leg straight back.
Lower your leg and alternate sides.
Perform about 10-20 reps.

We are now entering a period wherein we adopt the culture of South Korean artists, especially their food, exercises, clothes, dramas, and music.
Have you ever wondered why K-pop idols and actors are so skinny?
K-idols and actors balance and are strict with their lifestyles, including their workouts and food intakes.
Who wouldn't like to be as skinny as them? Let's start to be fit before the year ends.
First, be determined to workout once or twice a week at your convenience for thirty minutes to one hour. There are a lot of workout exercises on YouTube right now; you just have to do them and make a choice on which exercise is best for you. For me, cardio workouts standing I usually do once a week. First year of pandemic, usually I do workouts every day. Yeah, I was satisfied. In two weeks, I did achieve abs and became skinnier. Some of us hit the gym to become fit, which is also good.
But let's see how K-pop idols and actors do their workouts. As they said, before you make your debut in a group, you must undergo a series of training sessions in proper exercise, diet, singing, dancing, etc. Let's focus on their workout.
4th Generation Le Sserafim workout routine: 100 jumping jacks, 4x25 burpees, 2x10 jump squats (holding ears), 1 song plank crawl, 2x10 plank up and down, 2x10 plank twist, and 75 crunches
Girls Generation leg workout routine: 15 thigh hovers, 20 squats, 10 side planks, 20 inner thigh lifts, 15 hip kicks, 15 high knees, 10 lunges, and 19 hip raises
Blackpink Jennie Kim does pilates exercise for one to two hours for five days in a week. This helps to be flexible, strengthen, and tone the body.
BTS’s Jungkook Workout Routine: Knowing Jk, he does boxing exercises in his Weverse Live, but he also does 20 squats, 20 pushups, 20 jump squats, 20 pike pushups, 10 planks, 20 mountain climbers, 15 burpees, 20 crunches, 20 leg raises, and 20 Superman’s exercises to achieve his amazing toned body.
Exercise has advantages; it helps our brains improve, helps us manage our weight, strengthens our bones and muscles, improves our daily activities, and has a low disease risk (don't abuse it too much because it may also have a great risk in our body).
Second is food. Who doesn't like food? Do you know kpop idols and actors are forbidden from eating condiments, sweets, fried chicken, tteokbokki, pastry, ice cream, noodles, hamburgers, and jokbal before they debut as artists because they need to have a slim or skinny figure? They undergo really strict diets.
In the Philippines, there are a lot of fast food chains and restaurants opening from time to time.
Salt is usually what we put in our food, but have you heard that if we intake too much salt, there is a bad risk to the body? Salt intake in excess can be associated with disease, weight gain, and much more, but for us Filipinos, we can't remove it from our foods. We are fond of eating noodles, junk foods, fast foods, and restaurants. I read a lot of articles about how some salty foods can cause swelling. Sweets can gain us weight, and articles show they tend to give us acne or pimples. As per my experience, I am very observant about it. Back when I was in high school, I loved eating sweets like chocolates, candies, and much more, which gave me acne on my face and on my back. In time, I stopped eating chocolate, any sweets, and milk too. It slowly disappears, but then again, consult a physician for more information. Meat is really delicious, but the fatty part is no good if eaten too much, especially if you are really on a diet. The breadings, sauces, and ingredients we put on them are sometimes bad for our health. chicken, preferably the breast part for those on a diet.
Let's see how K-pop artists eat.
For IU, apple, sweet potato, and protein shake for a day
Suzy Bae ate one chicken breast and a banana for breakfast and drank a glass of milk. For lunch, she ate brown rice and a small vegetable salad. She finished the day with two sweet potatoes.
Blackpink Jennie's low-sodium (salt) diet, detox juices, and salad with avocado
That’s why they could lose weight in a short period of time. Remember to drink water.
I'm not saying it is bad, but in moderation, did you know that home-cooked food is still the best for me because we can control it on our own? Eating vegetables and fruits can also help us in our diet, but it really depends on a person's lifestyle and diet. There are a lot of apps now that you could try to help us plan our meals and exercises. We just need the determination within ourselves.

 How to make body fit without gym
There are many ways to get fit without going to the gym. Here are some useful tips :
Walking is a simple and effective way to improve your cardiovascular fitness, bone strength, and body fat reduction. You can walk for 30 minutes a day, or try interval walking for more intensity.
Taking stairs instead of elevators can help you burn more calories and strengthen your legs. You can start with a few floors and gradually increase the number of stairs you climb.
Bodyweight exercises such as planks, push-ups, squats, jumping jacks, and lunges can build your muscle tone, flexibility, and balance. You can do them at home with no equipment, or use household items like water bottles or furniture as weights or props.
Shadow boxing is a fun way to improve your upper body strength, coordination, and balance. You can punch at the air in front of you, or follow a video online for guidance. Don’t forget to move your feet and add some defensive moves as well.
Yoga can increase your flexibility, muscle tone, and mental well-being. You can practice yoga at home with a mat or a soft floor. There are many poses for beginners, such as tree pose or triangle pose. You can also follow a video online for instruction and inspiration.
Barre exercises are inspired by ballet and can tone your legs, core, and arms. You can use a wall, a bar, or a piece of furniture to hold on to. Some of the exercises you can try are knee lifts, ballet squats, and deep lunges.
If you want to focus on some specific areas of your body, you can try some of these exercises:
Glute bridge can help you tone your glutes, hamstrings, and lower back. To do this exercise, lie on your back with your knees bent and your feet flat on the floor. Lift your hips off the floor and squeeze your glutes at the top. Hold for a few seconds and then lower your hips. Repeat for 10 to 15 times.
Tricep dips can help you strengthen your triceps, shoulders, and chest. To do this exercise, sit on the edge of a chair or a bench with your hands on the edge and your legs extended in front of you. Slide your hips off the edge and bend your elbows to lower your body until your arms are at a 90-degree angle. Push yourself back up and repeat for 10 to 15 times.
Side plank can help you work on your obliques, core, and hips. To do this exercise, lie on your side with your elbow under your shoulder and your legs stacked. Lift your hips off the floor and keep your body in a straight line. Hold for 30 seconds and then switch sides.
Lateral raises can help you sculpt your shoulders, arms, and upper back. To do this exercise, stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and hold a pair of water bottles or books in each hand. Raise your arms to the sides until they are parallel to the floor. Lower them slowly and repeat for 10 to 15 times.
These are just some of the ways you can get fit without a gym. You can also try cycling, swimming, skipping rope, or any other activity that you enjoy and that makes you sweat. The most important thing is to be consistent and have fun! 😊

Nora:Weiss, I require assistance.
Weiss:No you may not bench me as a warm up, again.
Nora:Not that. I need you to help me with Jaune’s next exercise.
Jaune:Hi Weiss.
Weiss:Hello, I don’t want him benching me either.
Nora:You really gotta get over that. Jaune won’t even be touching you.
Weiss:Fine.
Nora:Great! Lay down flat on the floor. Arms and legs straight down.
Weiss:Ummm kay? *lays down*
Nora:Jaune, you work hard. But I feel like you could be working harder. To prove it, I need you to stand with the tip of your shoes three inches away from Weiss’s heels
Jaune:*steps closer* What are we do-
Nora pushes him forward and he starts falling. Thinking she was about to get crushed, Weiss lets out a yelp that makes her friends look her way to see Jaune over her, bodies inches apart thanks to his forearms holding him up.
Nora:Maintain this planking position for three minutes.
Jaune:Nora!
Nora:Don’t waste breath! I’m sure Weiss doesn’t want you to crush her.
Weiss:What happened to not being touched!?
Nora:He’s not. Planking sucks and I needed to give him motivation to go beyond his record. Just stay still underneath him and you’ll be fine.
Jaune looks down at her and they both immediately get red. He lifts his head back up. Now Weiss is forced to look at his chest and tensing neck. She immediately turns her head left to look outside of her human prison. Too bad she saw her friends smiling.
Yang:Hehehe…
Weiss:Not a word.
Ruby:Makes sure not to breath on him.
Blake:Or breathe in too deeply.
Weiss:All of you leave!
Yang:Pssst *points*
Weiss looks slightly down to see the knights arms flexing. Her face gets redder as she kindly looks away.
Weiss:Please don’t crush me.
Jaune:Nngh, I’m trying~
RBY:👀
Weiss:J..Just focus. No need to talk through grunts.
Nora:Keep your back straight. We don’t want your hips to dip.
Yang:We don’t!?
Blake:I might.
Ruby:You have two more minutes of this.
Weiss:Two!?
Nora:Just focus on your core and breathing Jaune.
He took steady breaths, trying to zone out. Meanwhile Weiss could feel the heat rising underneath him. There was no safe place to look. His chest expanded and contracted rhythmically, arms were rigid, and closing her eyes only made his grunts very uncomfortable. You would think she’d be the one planking with how much she started to sweat.
Jaune:Weiss, you okay?
Weiss:I’m…still under you. Just letting you focus. Pay me no mind. Nora, why couldn’t you do this!?
Nora:Easy, not enough room. He’d squish my boobs.
Weiss:…..
Ruby:Nora has no mercy for you today huh?
Nora:4…3…2…
She walked over to the side of them and gently flipped Jaune over to his back with a nudge of her foot. He started panting and Weiss sat up immediately.
Nora:Good job!
Weiss:Never do that again!
Nora:Oh relax. It was harmless. *smirks* The worst that would’ve happened was his weight on you.
Weiss:*red* That’s the problem.
Nora:*gives Jaune water* Take a break! You earned it.
Yang:Hey Weiss? *slowly raises water*
Weiss:..,Just say it-
Yang:Ya look a little thirsty.
Weiss:*snatches water* I need you all to never speak of this.
Blake:I wish you saw how much his hips were buckling.
Weiss:*red* STAHP!
Ruby:I don’t envy your post workout shower thoughts today.
Weiss:Why is everyone assaulting me today!?

Sevika working out
Some spilled thoughts.
Thinking about Sevika doing a workout with mostly static exercises….and one hell of a murderous look on her face.

She‘s angry.
So angry where she can‘t bring herself to even speak or punch a punching bag. 🥊
Minute long Dead hangs - thinking about causing death to whoever crossed her.
After she‘s done and her hands are sore, she decides that she‘ll go till failure on all exercises. It’s helping, she thinks to herself as she puts down the mat for the next exercise
Planking… GLARING through it.
Sweat beading at her temple, teeth gritted, shallow breaths escaping because her body is approaching the point of shaking.
She‘s been doing this plank for seven minutes. In her periphery she notices someone watching her and ego and anger are a bad combination. She‘ll show those fuckers.
10 minutes isn‘t enough, she wants that burning feeling to permeate her blood vessels before she falls to the ground.
The sweat is now dripping down her chin. It tickles like a bitch and it fuels her anger more.

When the plank is done, she rests for five, drinking some water, not giving a shit about whether the water drips onto the ground a bit. She takes her sweater off, only tanktop and sweatpants left.
No one at the gym would dare call her out for it. She always cleans up after herself and everyone knows it.
Next. Wall sit. She hates it.
She has two options….go for time…or for weight.
She catches a glimpse of herself in the mirror. Her arms have a good pump…her legs are hidden under the grey sweats….she remembers a girl once sputtering after Sevika caught her staring at them…her legs could use the pump as well.
She decides to add some plates to keep on her lap while she sits through it.
She strains while more or less carefully planting them onto her thighs. She knows her shoes will hold her in place, she knows this won‘t be any less brutal because of it.
At first the wall is cool against her back and she likes it.
Halfway through her ten minute goal she starts cursing in her head.
Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck.

So she takes her hands from where they are dangling at her sides and sets them on the plates.
She decides to watch her hands for a while, the veins bulging slightly because of the increased circulation.
She feels the way her knee stings and ignores it. It will be fine.
It snaps her out of whatever trance she was in and she grunts, because suddenly those plates feel like they weigh double.
She checks the time. One more minute.
She huffs and puffs on the last few seconds before pushing the plates off and sliding down the wall.
It‘s painful when her shirt rides up a bit and her skin scrapes along the wall. She will check on that later.

Hollow Body Hold is what she wants to finish with.
Those ten minutes feel more like hell than any of the other exercises. Most of the anger has been successfully channeled, but it‘s lacking now.
She tries to get angry, tries to pick it back up, but she‘s burnt through it for now….she knows she has a lifetime‘s worth of anger stored inside her but she can‘t fucking access it.
It would help if that realization made her angry….but it just disgusts her.
So instead, she focuses on the fact that she has nothing to do after she‘s done at the gym.
She focuses on the fact that she‘s working her abs right now, that she‘s building and honing the muscles that most of the girls love tracing…and she loves the feeling of that.
She thinks…maybe after the gym she should make her way to the brothel…make this day worth something.
Fuck she wants to let loose.
Needs it.
She hasn‘t been in two weeks.
She closes her eyes as her legs shake a bit, and her arms do as well…just a bit longer.
She goes through her regular girls…figuring out what she wants tonight.
No bratting. She needs someone who knows how to take an order…a pretty thing that will be thorough and determined to please.
She knows who she wants.
She‘ll find her - if anyone is with her she‘ll pay double to take her away.

When her muscles cramp and her limbs drop, she grunts before trying to relax and stretch the muscles that won‘t uncramp after a quick stretch.
Fuck. She‘ll need some electrolytes.
She decides to eat before heading to the brothel. She‘ll need the energy. The soreness will set in soon enough after demaning so much and then fucking someone into a mattress.
But that will be tomorrow.
Now? Now she‘s got a place to be.
Warm, welcoming lights with the softness of someone‘s body…

“You don’t have to be embarrassed.”
It was the first thing Steve had said since Billy had curled up on top of their duvet cover and refused to move. He’d been sitting on the edge of the bed after Billy fled the living room of their apartment. 
Billy knew it had been stupid of him to try, he hadn’t had the same strength in his shoulders since Starcourt. Despite all physical therapy, his left side was permanently weaker than the right. That and a bit of numbness had put him off most heavy lifting. But he still wanted to try. He missed the endorphin rush of a heavy workout, and while he’d been cleared for lighter impact things like swimming and yoga, it still wasn’t the same.
He ran across the idea of calisthenics in one of the books he’d been gifted post-therapy. While some of the concepts weren’t in the cards for him, there were a few that seemed just a few steps past the strength building yoga he had already been doing. 
The look on Steve’s face when he’d shown him the book was telling. Thinly veiled worry, a slight purse to his lips that screamed disapproval. He knew Steve wasn’t going to tell him not to try, but the look made him bristle. He’d snapped the book shut and set it aside for the night. 
It was naive to still hope he could one day get back to where he had been before his injuries. In his heart of hearts, Billy knew that. But it did nothing to dispel the feeling that he was weak for not being able to overcome it. That he couldn't fight his own body for a sense of freedom. He couldn’t move without pain. He couldn’t run. He couldn’t lift. And he didn’t want to accept that this might be as far into recovery as he would ever get.
So Billy had gone behind Steve’s back. It’s not like he needed permission, but every step of his treatment and recovery had been run through Steve. He probably knew Billy’s limits better than his own at this point, and it felt wrong not to tell him. 
Steve was puttering around in the kitchen while Billy went through his regular night exercise routine. He stretched out, did what he could with the hand weights Steve kept under the TV, and only then did he try one of the more advanced exercises. It wasn’t even technically calisthenics. Just a more advanced version of a yoga pose he’d practiced plenty of times. 
He laid out on his yoga mat and pushed up onto his elbows, ignoring the twinge in his shoulder as he got his feet under him. It was kind of like doing a plank, but walking his feet forward until he was up in almost a vertical position, then slowly raising his legs. If he could do it, it would help strengthen his core and get him used to having more weight on his shoulders. Maybe one day he’d be able to do a real handstand again. 
Of course, he got stuck trying to muster the core strength to get off the ground. His back already ached from getting into the position, and he could feel his left shoulder dipping towards the ground. It was frustrating. And in a moment of stupidity, he’d kicked off the ground and tried to force it. 
Predictably, he lost his balance. He managed to flip all the way over, twisting to avoid going straight into the coffee table, but he caught the edge of it on his hip. 
Steve heard the crash. Of course he had, and came running. 
Which led them up to now. 
Billy was embarrassed. He didn’t know how not to be. He hadn’t looked at how bad it was, but he could feel a bruise blooming on his hip. His shoulder was throbbing, and the pain was radiating down his arm through shot nerves and making the whole thing feel like it was on fire. 
He just couldn’t get over how stupid it was of him to try in the first place. He should’ve known by now there was no point in trying to push himself further than he could take. This was a huge step back. He wouldn’t even be able to do his usual routine until this healed. Which could take a week, or it could never be the same again.
Steve was hovering at a distance. He was sitting on the edge of the bed, but waiting for permission from Billy to move closer.
“I should’ve known I wasn’t strong enough to do it. It was stupid to try.”
Steve paused for a beat, and Billy waited for a reprimand. For Steve to tell him, yeah, he shouldn’t have tried because now he’s undone a significant amount of progress.
“Billy, do you know how many times I’ve hit my head in the stairwell since we moved in?” Steve reached out to put a hand on his knee as Billy processed the question. There was a poorly placed overhang in the stairs to their apartment, and while Billy remembered to duck, Steve often didn’t. The first time he’d hit his head was when they were moving. He’d dropped a box of books down the stairs.
“I haven’t even bothered to count, but it’s a lot. No matter how many times I go down those stairs, I forget it’s there. Everyone does shit and hurts themselves accidentally. And there are so many things that are hard for you to do, or that you can’t do, that messing up is part of the process. I love that you try things even when you’re unsure. But baby, you know that means sometimes you find out the hard way it’s not something you can do. It doesn’t make you stupid.”
Billy swallowed down the lump in his throat. No matter how many times he heard the “progress isn’t linear” lecture, it didn’t seem to stick. He focused on Steve’s hand, now stroking up and down his calf, and took a few deep breaths.
It didn’t matter that he couldn’t do it. He wasn’t stupid for trying. Sometimes the only way to find out is the hard way, and it doesn’t make him stupid.
Billy huffed, uncurling from the position he’d taken on top the covers. 
“Ok…”
The smile Steve gave him was fond, and it made him feel silly for believing Steve would think he was stupid in the first place.
“Ok. Can I check you over now?”
Billy nodded. He appreciated that Steve didn’t make a face as he studied the bruising on his side, but moving his shoulder was another story. Billy gasped as he tried to straighten his arm, and Steve winced in sympathy before grabbing his wrist to stop him from moving it further. He gently palpated the joint of Billy’s shoulder, seeming satisfied with whatever he’d found.
“Alright, nothing’s broken but your shoulder seems strained pretty badly. I’m gonna grab an ice pack and some ibuprofen, do you want anything else?”
Billy shook his head, but regardless, Steve came back with a warm cup of his favorite tea and a sling for his arm for later. It took some situating, but once Billy took the ibuprofen in addition to his regular meds, they managed to get positioned with an ice pack balanced on Billy’s hip and another on his shoulder. His head was resting on Steve’s chest, and gentle fingers worked through his hair as listened to Steve’s heartbeat. 
At the end of the day, no matter how many times he screwed up his recovery, they were alive. They had their own apartment. Nothing was going to take Steve away from him any time soon, and that was enough. 
The ache in his body had settled to a dull throb, and the medication he’d been given to help his anxiety made him sleepy. Billy grunted and shifted a bit in Steve’s arms. Steve shushed him, pushing loose curls out of his face. 
“Go to sleep, bud. I’ll have meds ready in the morning.” 
Billy smiled a little at that. He’d probably feel like he’d been hit by a bus when he woke up. But Steve would be there with whatever he asked for, even if it was something ridiculous.
Overall, he had it pretty good.

do u have a workout routine...
Since multiple people have asked… I might as well make one. DISCLAIMER: I am not an expert or knowledgeable about anything gym or health related, I’m currently going to physically therapy because of a workout injury lol so do with my advice what you will.
Equipment:
- 10 pound dumbbell
- 5 pound dumbbell
- 30 pound weighted bar
- Regular piano type bench (should probably get one made for working out)
I try to workout every day I can, but usually end up doing about 4 days a week. According to google, it takes about two weeks to start actually losing any gains so even if you only get one really good workout a week and go up from there that’s a good start. Also make sure you eat and drink water, and stretch beforehand.
If I’m feeling unmotivated or when I just started out, I followed 20 min workout videos on youtube by chris heria and bullyjuice.
Form is SUPER important, make sure your back is always straight(unless required otherwise) and you’re flexing or stabilizing your core, and you’re not relying on one side. And focus on doing good reps not a lot of reps. Once you start losing your form you should probably stop. I usually go until exhaustion or around 15-25 reps per exercise. I try to repeat a routine a few times over, but sometimes I just finish after doing one set.
Here’s what I generally do (not in a specific order and I probably forgot some, when in doubt, google it):

Shoulder/Arms:
- Standing press with 30 pound bar
- Hammer curls
- Bicep curls with my arms facing straight and then facing kind of diagonally
- Overhead tricep extenders
- Bicep curl into shoulder press with dumbbell
- Side curl
- Isolated bicep curls (sitting down with your elbow balanced on your thigh)
- Bench dips
- Standing dumbbell flyes
- Forearm curls with 5 pound dumbbell (or just kind of moving my forearms around with the weight until I feel the burn)

Chest: (some of the previous ones work the chest too, I struggle finding chest exercises that I can do effectively)
- Pushups (regular and then knee pushups when I get tired)
- Bench press with 30 pound bar or one side at a time with dumbbell

Abs: ( I rarely do ab days which is pretty bad, build up your core. This is when the youtube videos would come in handy)
- Planks
- Russian twists
- Boat hold
- Boat crunches
- Lying leg raises
- Mountain climbers

Legs:
- Wall sits and then start doing squats against the wall basically after a certain amount of time (feel tha burn)
- Regular squats (sometimes with bar)
- Sumo squats
- Standing calf raisers in multiple positions
- Squat holds in various positions
- Lunges
- Supported pistol squats (rarely those are god damn hard lol)
- Floor hip thrusters

Bonus:
- Jacking off can give you some pretty good muscle definition if you’re the type to go for long periods of time. But that’s also how I made a lot of my muscles uneven without realizing for a while😣 (it takes so god damn long to try and even sides out please alternate hands/whatever you’re moving or flexing a lot)

“George. Planking contest, let’s go,” Sapnap said as he took a sip from his water bottle, his dry mouth grateful for the drink after his fruitful workout session with his friend. George looked up from his phone, switching the song they had on in the background and chuckling amusedly.
“What? No, not after we’ve already worked out.” George reasoned, taking a drink of his own water as well.
“C’mon, I’m hyped up still, just this one thing then we’re done.”
“You’re an idiot.”
“C’monnnnn,” Sapnap groaned, rolling his eyes and crossing his arms in front of his chest. “You just know you’re gonna lose.”
“Right now? Probably. My arms hurt.”
“George,” Sapnap said as he leaned against the wall, tilting his head at the other man. “Humor me.” George rolled his eyes and looked over at Sapnap, eyebrows raised, the other man staring back at him expectantly. Sapnap knew he would never pass up an opportunity to prove him wrong. He let out a labored sigh, shaking his head in fond disagreement.
“Fine. But I’m gonna destroy you,” George taunted, placing his phone and his water on the table and turning around as Sapnap excitedly jumped into position at his words.
“Bring it on, cutie,” Sapnap teased back, both of them kneeling on the ground next to each other, ready to begin. They both placed one hand on the ground, George taking one last moment to straighten up the sleeve of his shirt and his messy, slightly sweaty hair from his workout, before letting out another soft sigh and nodding to Sapnap to let him know he was ready. “Okay, three, two, one, go!” Sapnap counted, and the challenge had begun.
It started off uneventful, the room relatively quiet apart from the music they had playing and occasional soft breaths or throat clearing noises from either of them, and it stayed that way for a little over a minute.
Then George got bored.
His elbows were starting to hurt, and his hips were sore from the exercises he’d done, and while it wasn’t enough to make him drop his plank just yet, it was definitely uncomfortable, and sitting in the same position with only that soreness to focus on was definitely not his idea of a good time.
So, he created his own entertainment.
He pushed himself up slightly more, arms straighter, and then leaned onto his left arm so he could pick up his right arm. He ran his hand through his hair again, testing the waters, seeing how long one arm could hold him up and finding that he was shockingly sturdy enough to keep up with it.
Which is exactly what he needed, so he could reach over and poke Sapnap right in the side.
“George,” Sapnap warned, voice stern, not reacting to the poke yet. Another came soon after, at the bottom of his ribs this time, and he couldn’t stop the small flinch it caused. “George.”
“What?” George asked innocently, but there was a smile evident in his words. He poked again, closer to the top of his ribs now, and he let out a chuckle as he watched Sapnap’s arm flinch where it held him up. “Uh oh. Seems like you’re getting weaker.”
“If you do that again you’re gonna be sorry.” His voice stayed sharp, and George bit back a smile as he steadied himself again. “I'm being courteous by warning you.”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” George kept up his innocent act, and delivered another poke to the spot right above Sapnap’s hip.
Whatever came next was a complete blur, happening so quickly George was genuinely convinced it might’ve given him whiplash from how dizzy he was.
“That’s it!” Sapnap practically growled, sounding downright predatory, and he grabbed George’s wrist and yanked him towards him, immediately throwing his arm around George’s waist and yanking him in his direction.
“OH– shit!” George yelled, and then he was on his back, wrists pinned next to his head by a firm, unrelenting grip and unable to squirm away as Sapnap straddled his thighs. “Wh– Sapnap! Get off me!”
“I fucking warned you, Georgie, this is nobody’s fault but your own.” Sapnap shifted George’s wrists, sliding them up above his head and crossing them over each other so he could hold them down with one hand instead, ignoring George’s loud protests the entire time.
“NO! Noho, no, let– let GO OF ME!” George fought, giggles already building up in his chest, pulling at his arms and kicking his legs out behind Sapnap. Suddenly, Sapnap dug his fingers into George’s ribcage, targeting the spot right in between them and spreading his fingers out as much as he could, covering as much surface area as possible. George gasped, his entire body straining as his back arched and he broke into loud, surprised laughter. “NAHAHA, whahaha–?! SAHAHAPNAHAP!”
“Yes?”
“STOHOHOP!”
“Nah, you deserve this,” Sapnap said nonchalantly, trailing his cruel fingers over to one side of George’s ribs instead, digging in all along the bones, making George scream and squirm around like his life depended on it.
“NOHOHO, PLEHEHEASE–“ George yelled, squeezing his eyes shut and throwing his head back. He kicked his feet against the floor, the heels of his sneakers sliding against the rubber padding, the soreness in his body hitting him hard and rendering him weak as he attempted to free his arms and hips. “AH– I CAHAN’T, SAHAHAPNAP!”
“Boohoo, crybaby, you’re fine,” Sapnap teased with a pinch to his hip, making him squeak and giggle and try to buck his hips up. Sapnap giggled along with him, slipping his hand under George’s shirt to scratch at his tummy for a few seconds. George immediately broke out into soft laughter, his breathing becoming hiccupy when he couldn’t stop giggling long enough to take any air in. His face was flushed, only growing redder as he tried to hide in his arm, and Sapnap couldn’t help but coo at him. “Well, aren’t you just adorable?”
“Shuhuhut uhuhup–“ George grumbled, clearly embarrassed, and Sapnap decided to put him out of his misery and move on.
Instead, Sapnap pulled his hand out from under George’s shirt and immediately dug into his underarm, making George scream at the sudden switch and then burst into loud, hysterical laughter.
“NAHAHA, FUHUHUCK–“ George yelled, twisting his torso however he could, yelling desperately at his arms and kicking so hard that his knees hit Sapnap’s back every so often. Sapnap chuckled at his reaction, letting go of George’s wrists in favor of using both hands to attack his underarms, making George squeal again, immediately reaching down to grab at Sapnap’s wrists, though he was unsuccessful in his attempts to pull him away. “PLEHEHEHEASE, PLEASE PLEHEASE PLEASE, STOHOP– AH, STOHOHOP!”
“Are you gonna behave yourself?” Sapnap asked, and George was nodding frantically, answering before he even finished.
“YEHEHES, YES!” George pleaded, attempting to blink his teary eyes open but immediately squeezing them shut again, his nose scrunching as he laughed, fingers shaking as they held Sapnap's arms.
“Good. Say you’re sorry.”
“I’M SOHOHORRY! I’M SOHORRYHY!” George was practically begging, nodding in agreement again, as if that would somehow sway Sapnap’s opinion.
Sapnap would be lying if he said it wasn’t adorable, and he would also be lying if he said he didn’t want to keep George like that all day, laughing and breathless and thoughtless and helpless– especially since he knew damn well that George could take ten times the torture if he was in the right mood– but he took pity on the boy, knowing he was already worn out and tired and sore from the work they’d done in the gym that day. He pulled his hands back, resting them on George’s sides and rubbing his tummy with his thumbs softly, letting him catch his breath.
“Y’alright?” Sapnap asked, the subtle southern-ism in his tone making George smile through his leftover giggles.
“Mm– yeah…” George said between breaths, running a hand through his hair again before swiping them over his face, then letting his arms drop out to his sides. “That was so cruel.”
“You literally started it,” Sapnap pointed out, pushing himself to the side off of George’s hips and grabbing his water from the table for him.
“But I wasn’t gonna do that!”
“Shut up, you big baby, you know you loved it. And you know I could’ve done so much worse, so be grateful,” Sapnap scolded playfully, and George’s cheeks flushed once again at the accusation, a shy smile gracing his lips as he turned to the side. “Yeah, that’s what I thought, idiot, I see you blushing!”
“Shut uppppp!” George whined, hiding his face in his hands and curling into himself, both of them giggling at the situation.
“Alright, alright, I’m done. Here,” Sapnap patted George’s shoulder and motioned for him to sit up, handing him his water when he did so and sitting quietly while he took a well needed drink. “I’m fucking hungry, too, can we get food?”
“Bro nearly kills me and then just asks if we can get food.”
“Oh, yeah? I can do it again!” Sapnap teased, grabbing George around the waist and pulling him in, eliciting a scream from the older boy.
“NO! No, no, NO, fuck you!” George yelled, prying Sapnap’s arms off him and pushing himself away, his knees pulled up to his chest for protection. Both of them broke out laughing at that, and Sapnap just shook his head fondly.
“You’re so dumb,” He said with a smile, pulling out his phone and scooting closer to George, resting his head on George’s shoulder as he scrolled through the food options. The two of them made quiet conversation as they looked through the menus, cuddling close to each other as they did so, already inseparable, even after the events that had just unfolded.
The rest of the night was relatively calm– food was ordered, both boys were showered and in comfy pajamas, and they sat in the living room to eat with some random anime on TV.
That is, until Sapnap decided to try and steal a fry off George’s plate, and the house was alive with the sound of laughter once again, and George was able to get his revenge.

With the last few days of summer, most of the crops in the tiny patch of land between the church and the graveyard need to be cleared out and replaced before they die off. “i will not! it tastes like shit!” you protested, like a child. you pressed your lips together tightly, shaking your head.

Vers' Health Journal Day 1
I am gonna see if I can train myself into any kind of media consistency by logging my efforts at getting Super Fit and Comfortable with my body every day!
Goals I'm trying to meet:
Workout 2x a day as much as I can; weightlifting in the morning and a short abs/full body circuit workout and cardio in the evening
Intuitive Eating (I'll include pictures of whatever meals I remember to photograph each day)
Try to stop eating after 7pm or so, and begin eating the next day around 6:30am. This will help me get my circadian rhythm back on track.
Build enough muscle to carry my own bodyweight
Getting visibly toned is the last on my priority list; It would be nice but I'm trying not to focus on it too much
Day 1: We're starting off strong because I am at home for Easter break, so I currently don't have access to a gym. However, this is my first day of intuitive eating! I had a leftover greek goddess salad from panera and some homemade bread for my first meal, and then a few hours later I got hungry again and had some prunes and half a bagel (and then went back and got the other half)

Since I'm home, I've decided to take this time and find a new floor workout before I head back to college from all the ones social media keeps recommending me, so I'm going to write up how it went for me and notes I had here.
The first one is a workout targeting obliques by j.workouts on tiktok. It's about 15 minutes altogether, including side crunches, knee to elbows, russian twists, plank knee in twist, plank rotations, plank knee ins, bicycles, and heel touches. Keep in mind I'm probably intermediate in core strength.
Coordination: I found a few of these hard to figure out and make sure I was using the muscles I was supposed to, mostly the bicycle variation and knee-elbow crunches.
Difficulty: Once I figured out once the movements were, I did feel that I was working out my obliques pretty well, but I didn't feel a huge burn at any point in the workout. That said, it did get me sweating, so kudos for that!
Favorite exercise: I liked the plank rotations best- I could definitely feel the muscles being worked, and keeping myself stabilized was a good challenge, and my shoulders also felt the burn while I was moving.
Least favorite exercise: This is a me thing, but I just hate russian twists. They're so effective! And I do not like them.
Rating: 3.5/5. I think if I was a beginner the coordination still would've posed a challenge, but if you can get all of the exercises down all of the exercises work the muscle effectively! I also think the order they put the exercises in was decent for a beginner; start off moderate, work your way up, then cool off with the heel touches at the end of each set.
