I need help finding a Draco/Neville fic!!

I remember that this fic wasn’t on AO3. I believe it might’ve been on LiveJournal but I’m not sure. Anyway. This fic had Draco and Neville working together. I think Neville supplied Draco with potions ingredients (mandrake?). Draco was working on a potion specifically for people like Neville’s parents that went through torture. Harry Potter and gang aren’t too nice about them being friends at first. There’s a scene where they destroy (?) or mess with Draco’s research notes. Later on Harry confesses to Neville about liking him but Neville is already in love with Draco. There’s also a rare flower that blooms when new love/true love is present (?). That’s all I can remember. PLS HELP

-on the other side, he also knows it feels like to have a lot of pressure and power on your side. he worries about what it must feel like to wield ancient magic and be the only living person who can see it. every time you use it, he checks on you after, ensuring that you don't feel too exhausted and can continue fighting.

-supported you so much through the trials. he didn't need to know every detail of what you did and went through but he would hold you so tight when you came back, praising you over and over for being so strong and brave.

ron weasley:

-he's a little jealous, ngl. like his partner can use this sick magic and is responsible for keeping the magic safe and alive out of the wrong hands?? why can't he do that???

-i also feel like ron would be confused, if not a little angry, that you refuse to share the power and attempt what others have before (such as isidora using the magic to remove pain). he doesn't really understand the problem and feels like the keepers are suspicious.

-he'd brag about you alllllll the time though! like oh my god every second he would find some way to bring up the fact that you can do really awesome things and that you are his awesome partner forever!

draco malfoy:

-draco loves you a lot and finds your magic incredibly cool, don't get me wrong, but i think his family swayed his pursuit of you because wouldn't it be so grand if the malfoys had a keeper in their family? someone so powerful and knowledgeable? who would pass down the truth and their magic? yes please! (every time narcissa brings it up, it irks draco but also he pats himself on the shoulder for choosing you)

-wants to know every detail about the trials and the past and the memories you're viewing! you'll come back from a trial, sweaty and tired, maybe bleeding, and he'd help you first then ask hundreds of questions after.

-your use of ancient magic is not necessarily unknown and makes you quite popular among the students of hogwarts. this, however, makes draco really jealous. if he could, he would follow you everywhere, glaring down anyone who tries to make a move on you. before you go on adventures, classes, or just to the common room, he'll drape you in his slytherin scarf as if he was marking you.

neville longbottom:

-poor thing gets so nervous when you have to complete the trials or do something incredibly important for the sake of keeping the magic safe. he knows he can't go along with you but he'd stay by your side until the very moment you enter the map chamber, whispering praises and support the whole time.

-would heal up all your wounds and take care of you if you exerted too much during a fight. he knows how much everyone depends on you and the least he can do is take care of you properly! he would run you a bath, apply soothing balms to your skin or use his plants to heal you up, and cuddle you tightly!

-tries his hardest to not feel useless but sometimes it's hard when you're so strong and he's so...not. of course you'll always reassure him and give him the confidence he needs but very frequently, he gets really down on himself about it.

fred weasley:

-every day he comes to you with a new scheme that involves your magic. could you make a portal that leads from the dungeons of hogwarts to the top of the astronomy tower? it's important. snape is gonna get really mad when he goes into his office? can your magic fix that?

-begs, and i mean BEGS, you to let him come along on your adventures and battles. he wants nothing more than to support you and fight along your side! as long it's not a trial, you can't help but let him come along. you usually end up saving him after he pays a little more attention to the way your whip around the battle, taking down everyone effortlessly.

-speaking of paying too much attention to you, he thinks it is so attractive than you can do what you do! he gives you some time after fighting to recuperate but then immediately he is ON you. he's kissing you and telling you how hot it is when you turn someone to just particles.

george weasley:

-he wants you to teach him everything you can. there are some things that are just simply innate and can not be taught but all your tips and tricks when it comes to fighting will now be all of his tips and tricks. you two would just find some field away from the burrow and go at it, sending spell after spell at each other. georgie is just overflowing with adrenaline and it's a great way to get it out.

-deep down, a part of him wants to be protective of you. he wants to keep you from going out into danger and taking on dangerous tasks all for magic and some old people telling you what to do. but he knows better, trust me. he knows you can defend yourself just fine but he just wants to put you in a little bubble and never let anything hurt you.

-just like ron, he will brag about you whenever he can. everyone is sitting around the great hall table, talking about how it's so cool that you defeated a troll in one fell swoop and he just wraps his arm around your shoulders, a glimmer in his eye as he proceeds to say "yeah, aren't they just so amazing?"

remus lupin:

-fears for your health and safety so much! when you come back from a trial, he's hushing you and putting you in bed, feeding you chocolate and brewing tea until you feel better!! you are bearing the weight of centuries old magic all alone. the least he can do is take care of you!

-supports your decisions throughout your entire journey as a keeper. if you truly believe that releasing ancient magic to the world and using it for more than the original keepers intended, then he understands. if you want to continue to keep it hidden, he will not question your judgement.

-this is so fluffy but i feel like you figured out how to manipulate your ancient magic to floating, bright blue scenes and pictures. around remus's time of the month (said lovingly), you'll lay in bed with him and use your wand to paint pictures of animals, lakes, waves, stars, or, in more sappy moments, your future.

sirius black:

-he thinks it is SO hot that you can take someone down without barely blinking an eye. his favorite move you do is when you lift someone into the air and slam them down repeatedly. gets blushy and turned on excited every time.

-once followed you down into the map chamber only to be very harshly yelled at by one of the keeper's portraits. he just wanted to see what it looked like and to know where you go on dangerous missions!! who can blame him, truly? definitely grumbled the whole rest of the day.

-when you two get married, he refuses to let you take his last name and instead will either take yours or say screw it and come up with one! he doesn't want his family to have the gratification of having a keeper with the black family name. he wants you to shine for who you are and in another century, he wants your name to be yours, not his.

you looked up, hoping it was him and not someone else. the painting creaked and there you saw the tall, fit, brunette figure walk through.

"cedric." you whispered in happiness. he smiled at you before sprinting and hastily jumping into the pool.

you squeaked. "cedric!" he laughed, shaking the water off his hair and swam towards you. "well, hello beautiful." he smirked, eyeing your sea creature body. your breasts were practically naked, except for the shell symbols spread around your areola.

the fact that it was y/n tied up, wasn't the worst thing. it was that her tail showed. a mermaid transformation took about 10 minutes, right? so whoever put her here must have done it quick! or else she would've been killed by them already.. if anyone up there sees she is a mermaid, things could get disgusting.

i examined her unconscious face, searching for any wounds. it was rather hard, curse the bubble charm for blurring my view.

i grabbed a knife i brought just in case from my pocket, and cut the ropes around her wrists. i carried her heavy figure up the water fast, as i felt like time was running out. our heads popped out, and y/ns eyes opened slowly. the first thing she saw was my face. then she looked around, very confused. she saw the water floating around her, and it looked like she was about to faint.

"and we have our first contestant up! cedric diggory!". the gryffindors, hufflepuffs, ravenclaws and a few beauxbatons cheered loudly. some looked confused at your slightly new appearance; your grey skin & red eyes weren't hidden. cedric tried to hide you from the crowd.

he grinned at them so nobody would find it off, and then swam to dumbledore with you, both of your bodies underwater, except for your heads.

"sir, she- she's.." cedric tried to make up an excuse to make sure your body stayed beneath the surface. you looked at him, terrified.

dumbledore smiled. "it's okay, boy. i'm not stupid, you know. show her to me."

cedric hesitated, but you nodded, after all, he was the headmaster. what choice did cedric or you have?

you shyly turned around, horrified to see his reaction, but dumbledore kept his same expression. "ah. and so i was right." he said, his eyes twinkling.

you frowned your eyebrows in surprise, looked at cedric, and saw that he was doing the same. "your bubble still functions well, i'm assuming? 2 hours they work, yes?"dumbledore said.

"uuh, yes, sir." cedric said. "turn around, dive, go north, then west, you'll find a cave, go through there and leave the rest up to me."

you and cedric looked at eachother in both relief and confusion, then cedric nodded.-you swam forward, cedric holding onto your hand. a smile crept up your face, as he struggled to keep up with you.

"keep up, tough boy." you mouthed, feeling a little less worried then before.he just chuckled nervously at you. the moment of it was almost romantic, if to ignore the context. you felt a sense of joy, being in your other home, together with someone you wanna spend your entire life with.

hopefully, the next task would be a lot less terrifying.

How the HP boys would react to seeing their s/o in a dress for the Yule Ball.

This includes: Cedric Diggory, Harry Potter, Draco Malfoy, Tom Riddle (🤭), Fred Weasley, George Weasley, and Neville.

Cedric Diggory

This boy is absolutely down bad for you! You better believe he won’t be looking at any other girls all night.

Even though the Ball is supposed to be about the Triwizard champions he makes it all about you.

The second he sees you walking toward him he is stunned. Of course you always look beautiful but he’s never seen you in a dress before.

You and Cedric decide to sneak out early and watch the stars on top of the astronomy tower.

The night is ended with a sweet goodnight kiss from Cedric.

Neville Longbottom

Nervous doesn’t even begin to describe how he’s feeling as he waits for you outside your house common room.

He asked you to go as friends but was planning on officially confessing by the end of the night.

The second he sees you walking to him his face turns bright red.

He doesn’t walk towards you or speak, he just waits for you to come to him as he switches from staring at you to looking down.

Once you finally reach him he offers a smile and shyly says, “Y/n.. y-you look nice.”

Neville doesn’t actually ask you to dance until the last slow song starts to play. He was content with just watching you have a good time.

The entire night Neville offers sweet compliments that leave both of you flustered.

At the end of the Ball he offers to walk you back to your dorm room. He looks nervous and says, “Y/N, before you go to bed I have something to confess-”

“I know Neville, me too”, you whisper, cutting him off before taking his face in your hands and placing a kiss on his cheek.

George Weasley

You and George had been dating for a little more than a year when the Yule Ball was announced. Of course that meant you were going together.

Don’t think that just because you’re already dating George won’t go out of the way to ask you. He asks you while you’re on a trip to Hogsmeade together.

He keeps begging to see your dress before the ball. This man literally has no patience at all!

George decided that he’d come pick you up outside your house common room.

He’s so excited to see you in a dress that he goes on a full on sprint to get you.

The second his eyes land on your dressed up form he sneaks up behind you and mutters, “Hey pretty lady.”

“George Weasley, how many times do I have to tell you not to sneak up on me like that!”,you shriek.

“Sorry sweetheart, you just look so cute when you’re scared”, he voices before leaving a light smack on your ass. “What do you say we go to that Ball now?”

Fred Weasley

“Hurry up sweet-cheeks, I’m dying to see you in your dress”, Fred yells into your dorm room.

Your lips move together in a sweet, slow rhythm until you pull away and joke, “Are we just gonna snog all night or do you want to dance with me?”

“Oh I suppose we should get going but don’t worry love, we can resume where we left off later”, Fred responds before taking your hand in his and leading you to towards the Ball entrance.

You and Fred dance the night away. However, you lost count of how many times he attempted to grab your arse.

Harry Potter

“Y/n, you look great”, Harry says while ushering you towards the other champions and their dates.

He has absolutely no idea how to dance so you best believe you will be taking the lead.

“Erm, Y/n…I don’t think I’m doing this right”, he’s say while clumsily guiding you across the floor, stepping on your feet a few times.

“Just let me take the lead then, love”, you’d tell him.

About half way through the ball you can tell he’s getting sick of dancing so you offer to get drinks.

Both you and Harry have pumpkin juice and enjoy talking about literally anything besides the tournament.

“Love, you look so pretty and I’d hate to leave you so soon. I’m really tired, I was thinking we could just cuddle in the common room..”, Harry would ask once your conversation comes to an end.

Of course you agree! How can anyone say no to Harry?!

Once you had decided to take him up on his offer you head back to your dorm room to change.

After walking to the Gryffindor common room end up falling asleep curled up in Harry’s lap with his hands running through your hair.

Draco Malfoy

Draco didn’t ask you to go to the Yule Ball with him, he told you.

“Y/n, I hope you know we’re attending the Ball together”, Draco would lean over and whisper to you during potions class.

It’s not like you were completely shocked he took this approach. You’d already been dating and knew asking for something wasn’t Draco’s style.

Even though he’s stubborn he’s still a gentleman. He’d treat you like a Princess the entire night.

Draco would wait for you outside the ballroom. He would be anxiously looking all around until he spots you.

“Draco I’m right behind you, you git”, you’d tease him.

“You’re lucky you’re so pretty, Princess”, he’s reply looking you up and down.

Draco wants to spend the entire night dancing with you. Giving you all of his attention, not even stopping to speak to his friends.

He knows sometimes he can be cold and distant and he wants to make it up to you tonight.

You’re one of the last couples on the floor and when the last song stops he’ll walk you to your dorm room.

“Goodnight Love, I had a great time”

Tom Riddle

(A/n: Let’s just pretend there was a Yule Ball when Tom was at Hogwarts too…🤭)

Tom insisted on being with you while you were getting ready.

He jumped at any excuse to see you with a minimal amount of clothes.

He would sneak kisses on your jawline and neck while you do your makeup.

Tom would zip up your dress for you as well, of course!

Since Tom isn’t the most social person halfway through the Ball he would already be sick of all the people. Of course you’d notice and ask if he wants to leave early.

“Are you sure darling, I don’t wanna spoil your fun!”, he’d reply.

The rest of the night you and Tom cuddle in the Slytherin common room. He reads aloud to you until you fall asleep.

Working on chapter 3 of my Dreville fic Greenhouse. “Usually when people insist that they are fine, they aren’t.” Neville said softly, placing his hand gently on Draco’s shoulder and squeezing it.

“You know you can talk to me, right? About anything? You can trust me.”

“I know, Nev.” Draco whispered, placing his hand on Neville’s to pat it reassuringly.

“Beautiful.”

“What?”

By Merlin! Fuck!

“It’s beautiful. The- the greenhouse, I mean. B-Beautiful.” Draco stammered, all the warmth leaving his face. It felt like his heart had stopped beating and never would beat again. He removed his hand from Neville’s to gesture at the structure before him. Neville turned around, standing next to Draco and Draco wanted to cry when Neville removed his hand. He was so very aware of Neville next to him, a mix of potting soil, different traces of flowers and something pure Neville underneath it all. It was intoxicating and Draco wanted to wrap himself around him, breathe him in deeply and just stay like that forever.

“Beautiful indeed.” Neville answered but he didn’t look at the greenhouse. Draco blinked his eyes, body seemingly floating, all words leaving his brain so he could just stand there, gaping like a fish before he realized he was doing it. He closed his mouth, coughing awkwardly as he felt Neville’s gaze on him.
