Incredibly Specific Fantasy Playlists
You’re dancing with an enemy in a ballroom, your eyes are locked with hate but maybe something else flickering there even as your hands reach for weapons ready to command.
You were something deeper than enemies, more visceral, but no one else can match you like them. It was just the physical representation of the line between love and hate, an inevitable side effect of fixation. Except then it was something more, and then it was nothing, and then it was something so much deeper than love.
Friendship is great but then you mess it up by falling in love. So in song form you map the rise and fall of friends to lovers to strangers to lovers again.
Crime is so much better with a partner by your side as you blast music to drown out the sirens following you down the highway.

fake dating (enough said)
the 'you need to learn how to dance so im gonna teach you and oh gosh why r we this close?' (honestly one of my all time favs)
the two enemies dancing together at a masquerade dance (yes, just yes)
the screamed love confession during an argument "BECAUSE I LOVE YOU" (best thing ever)
one bed trope (enough said)
the 'i hate everyone but you' couple (yesssss)
one losing their mind if the other is hurt or captured (cough percabeth cough)
the bodyguard/princess trope I REPEAT THE BODYGUARD/PRINCESS TROPE
the 'we were flirting and everyone else knows we were flirting but we're in denial bout it' (this trope)
MUTUAL PINING MUTUAL PINING

"I know what you are."
(Takes place in the Alive AU)
You're dancing with Mr.Darling, glaring right at him while he continues to wear that smug look, staring right back at you.
You know what he is and what his motives are, and he knows that you know but you're both in the spotlight right now, dancing slowly to the music, hips swinging to the beat and one hand at your hip. He's got quite a death grip like he's afraid that you might just disappear right in front of him. The two of you decide to keep up the friendly looks...for now.
The red and pink lights are shining brightly, momentarily blinding you. And in that second you're suddenly thrown back and bent over backwards, Wally just above you and his hand now moved to your mid-back. He has you in what looks like the perfect dip. He slowly leans down close to your face, not once blinking or moving from his pose. "Let's discuss this after dinner." He whispers, something he's never really done before. You're used to his monotone voice.
'You're in danger', your instincts keep screaming at you. Every time he stares at you with that look your body goes into a panic.
There is no way you're going to let this monster take you back "Home". Not without a fight.
Technically you can just call him Mr.Darling since that's his last name. I am starting to enjoy writing this charming fella as smug and vain. He makes for a good villain that knows what he wants.
First part of the dance shorts I wanted to make, next one is going to be the long one. These two will be unrelated btw.
