Wolffe: Rex, who did you fuck?

Rex: W-WHAT?!?!

cody: *slowly realizing what hes done, and what empire is doing, struggling to find himself in the middle of all the mind control and propaganda

at first i was shocked and appalled by crosshair's line "if i get the chance to escape, i wouldn't think twice about leaving you behind."

and yes, i'm sure he's lying, putting up his barriers, trying to reverse-psychology/piss-off-convince Omega to leave him behind

but you know what else it reminded me of?

Desix. Crosshair shooting the seperatist governor Tawni Ames "for" (instead of) Cody.

because that's how Crosshair operates. he is willing to do anything, anything, to protect the people he cares about. even the "dirty work." especially the dirty work. pushing away, lying, killing.

the things he says and does might mean the person he's protecting (his squad, Cody, Omega) thinks less of him, but that's a sacrifice he'll make, if it means he can protect and save them.
