since the night you and eren met at a party you’ve basically been inseparable since. you two have been together for a while now and it’s safe to say you guys are the IT couple.

lmfaoo at first when your friends would catch you simping they’d be like “what happens to gazah forever” and start laughing. But they mean well it’s all jokes they like seeing you and eren so happy with each other.

a few people thought it wouldn’t last that long, thinking he wouldn’t be able to handle you. BUT BABYY were there wrong ! you two have a good balance in your relationship, your energies align so well.

there’s no getting between you two. “my man tie me, I’m on him badd”

you were a little nervous at fist to let him meet your family, you know they can be a little judgmental sometimes but you weren’t too worried. Everything went really good when he met the fam. Your male relatives were a bit over protective but you can’t blame them too much, you’ll always be their baby.

At the family events he eats his weight in food lmfaoo. He’s a big fan of rotis, jerk chicken with white rice, green bananas and salt fish, as well as chutney. It melted your heart to see him enjoying traditional foods.

this man lives to see you dance, from the first grind he got at that party, he’s been hooked since. He’s actually got really good rhythm. So he’s great at any party, whether it’s holding onto your waist slow dancing with you singing the lyrics “ gyal, mi wan’ if hold yuh put me arms right around yuh” in his ear.

this one time you brought him to a family gathering and he danced western with the older ladies of the family, your grandma love him sm, he even calls her ma or mum.

this man can really turn tf up. like REALLY turn TF up. for example when you two are at a Bacchanal all his composure flies out the widow. But he never lets other girls try to dance with him and you do the same when it comes to other men.

lemme tell youuu, there’s a video of you two dirty dancing to vybez kartel at the fette. that shit was wildd like giving him mad fast wine and him positioning you with his hands on your lower back watching your movements

He loves when you make him breakfast, his favorite thing that you make him is fried bakes and cocoa tea. It’s like his comfort food at this point.

he loves hearing all the folklore stories, they’re so fascinating to him. he was low-key kinda scared when you told him you’d send a dupply after him as a joke.

He likes trying Caribbean snacks, he likes half frozen chubby and icelollies.

A DOMINOS FIEND !! your uncles and him were playing together and that shit was heateddd. He smacks the dominos hard asll lmfao. Your uncles lowkey started respecting him more after he won a few games.

He lovesss playing football in the rain with your cousins. your grandma puts oil in the middle of the head to make sure he doesn’t get sick.

LATE NIGHT DRIVES ARE A VIBEE. The two of you have this long ass playlist that you guys bump while driving in the middle of the night with the roof down.

Marrying James — Femme Edition

For @groovy-lady, to accompany the enby version.

James had been thinking about proposing to you for a while, probably a few months, but he was still horribly nervous to actually do it. He wants things to go smoothly, and wants a little privacy for the occasion, so he'd pull you away somewhere nice while still socially appropriate, like a more secluded area of a garden or a section of Fort Charles with a view. When you actually accept, he'd find himself at a loss. But you can tell through his bright smile how happy he is, and you can't help but feel the same as you get to watch him let his guard down for once.

The wedding planning is great because he's actually invested in it. He helps you pick out the colors and taste-tests with you, and he has a pretty good sense of what things aesthetically work together. I can certainly see a blue/white/gold theme going, but with lighter tones than the typical navy standard.

And, when things get overwhelming, the Swanns are there to help. Oh, James wants to take care of it all himself, but Weatherby insists on lending a hand, and you simply can't turn down Elizabeth, who's decisive when you're not and gets things done when you're too exhausted to handle it all. Not to mention, she has impeccable taste, and would help make sure the aesthetics were up to perfection.

You’re probably wearing a dress, given the standards of the times, but whatever you wear is made of gorgeous silk brocade that compliments your husband-to-be’s military uniform. There is, of course, copious amounts of lace, though the accessories likely feature a modest set of pearls. The floral arrangements host a fun variety of native plants like hibiscus and golden poui that capitalize on your life in the Caribbean as opposed to England.

The service is modest; James doesn't need the whole of Port Royal at the wedding, even if people may be peeking in through the windows. After all, their beloved Commodore is getting married, and they want to be in the know about it. Elizabeth can't always be the one who knows the tea.

The Navy boys are ecstatic. The group of you are good friends already, of course, because Gillette and Groves couldn’t keep their noses out of James’ personal life (especially Gillette), so they’ve gotten to know you, whether by meeting you “on accident” or later when James finally showed you around Fort Charles. They want to help in any way they can, though they have little experience with wedding planning. But they’re there for moral support, particularly if James gets called away during the process and you’re left to your own devices.

As the wedding draws nearer, James begins to have his doubts. Not about you, but rather about himself. He thinks back to his own family, how cold his parents could be, how lonely he could get. How, even within the privacy of their own home, his family kept to societal expectations and standards. He never wants you to feel like you can’t talk to him, and he wants your home to be full of warmth. He wants to share his time and space and thoughts and experiences with you, something he didn’t get growing up. He’s so scared that he’ll accidentally recreate a mirror image of the only family he’s ever known, and he couldn’t subject you to a life that depressing.

You’ll have to get him to calm down, to come to bed, to eat regular meals. He has an unhealthy habit of, when he’s nervous, trying to distract himself with work. This leads to distracting himself from other important things, too. Thankfully, he’s whipped for you, and you can get him to do just about anything pretty easily. A guiding hand on his arm or shoulder and a word of reassurance here or there would go a long ways to James’ getting any proper rest leading up to the wedding.

James looks at this as foreshadowing into your future; he realizes how easily you can take care of him, a concept he’d never really thought of before, and it melts him. He’s always envisioned himself as the provider, meeting that masculine expectation. On the other side of that, though, he never considers the care he might be receiving. So, as you help him de-stress, it dawns on him that your marriage may truly bring him to bliss. He knows you have his back, that you can be a source of strength for him unlike any he’s ever had.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again—James is a crier. He can’t keep himself from tearing up at the wedding, even before he sees you. His men, even Groves, are rather useless at pep-talks, so he just ends up getting excitedly hugged by those closest to him. This is where he first starts to choke up; it occurs to him that everyone present really does care about him, and it only gets worse when he sees you walking down the aisle.

His mother is there, and while it sets him on his guard a little at first, she’s supportive of the match and pleasant to have around. She couldn’t be prouder of James for finding someone he loves who also befits his station, as she couldn’t, and she couldn’t be more pleased with you.

The thing about having a wife, in particular, is the potential for children. James would never, ever, actually expect that of you, to carry his children, but if you wanted to, he would be bursting with adoration. He would have you both think on it for a while, of course. Children are a huge commitment, and he doesn't want to influence you toward that decision too quickly. That being said, he wants them desperately. He fears being like his own father—emotionally withdrawn and separate from his family—and it would take some encouragement to actually convince him he'd make a good dad. But he'd try. He'd try so hard and it would make all the difference.

Alright, alright. Now to the part you really want: the wedding night.

James doesn’t actually have much experience when it comes to endeavors below the belt, so he’s a bit nervous himself (haha). That being said, he does a good job of not showing it, knowing full well that you have much more reason for anxiety. He starts things slowly, taking your face in his hands and kissing you, giving you some time to relax into his embrace. He’s a consent king, so whenever he moves to do something new he asks if it’s alright.

James is still a flustered mess as you begin to undress, watching with wide eyes despite trying not to. He’s curious, too, and helps you with your dress and undergarments, getting his lips on every new inch of exposed skin. It’s gentle, though, and relaxed. He wants to explore you, to map you out. He’s shocked when you return the favor, ridding him of his cravat with skilled fingers, carefully loosening buttons and ties he assures you he can do himself. Both of you are surprised to hear him gasp at the kisses you place to his chest and the way his eyes drift shut with the pleasure of it all. He has much the same effect on you, though, and he smirks a little when he manages to get a moan out of you, which you’re desperately embarrassed about.

Things aren’t perfect—neither of you fully knows what you’re doing—but you’re figuring each other out together, which ends up being an intimate bonding experience. You both have to place a lot of trust in each other, but it pays off.

I have this idea while cooking.

Do you think law would be mesmerized at show cooking is being done?.from the ingredients to the procedures to the presentation of said food?

Like a cook!reader and s/o of law, do you think he'd ever just hang out around them and watch them cook?

To further push the nerd!Law agenda, I think he would be interested to learn new things in general. If he had a s/o who was a cook, he would most definitely love to observe how they make food.

I highkey think this man will follow the recipe to the TEA. If you’re a POC, y’all know we just season till the ancestors tell us to stop 😭 but good luck trying to explain that to him.

He is very respectful of the food from your culture, and encourages you to share your country’s cuisine for him and the crew

Also if you’re Caribbean, he would definitely be fascinated by the food in your culture and would love to learn how to make foods like stew chicken, oxtails, and ackee and saltfish

I also think this man would be a PERFECTIONIST. The plating and quality of the food has to be perfect or he will literally remake it till it’s to his standards

Oh and let’s not forget he is a PICKY EATER 😒 mans only eats rice balls shdjdjdj

Good luck trying to make bread shjsjsj he will not have any of it

Just the smell of bread baking will set him off

But overall, he loves just spending time with you in general. He loves when you come in his office and ask him what he’s studying soin return he likes to show interest in your cooking and help out as best as he can 🥺

He’s a fast learner so after time, you don’t even have to tell him and he’s already chopping vegetables or steaming rice

All in all, cooking with law is fun and chill 10/10 will recommend

also i just wanna say that usually when i write for reader inserts they’re almost always for poc readers but while writing this i had caribbean and latinx readers in mind. nothing is specified so it’s pretty open but just wanted to put that out there!

okay so you’re a kinda new student at hawkins high

you have friends not super close but they’re a group of goth kids that you gravitated towards n they had zero problem taking you in

and although you’re all goths,,, somehow the new kid ,, you ,, have now been labeled the witch of hawkins

why ?

well .

walking down the hallways of hawkins trying to find your class proved easy enough of a gateway for two jocks to make their way towards you

long black flowy skirt , lived in black long sleeve blouse with rips here n there ,, down played with worn dirty converse

easy target i suppose

“hey, y/n right ?”

looking up from the schedule to the unknown jock smiling a little too smug for just a regular greeting

anyways they’re trying to be subtly insulting but everything they throw at you that’s supposed to be an insult is kinda flattering

“death himself” “wednesday addams” “satan's girlfriend”

and “witch”

n to be honest ,, you giggle cuz they’re not wrong

your family comes from a long line of practitioners and it’s something you take great pride in

you don’t necessarily flaunt it,, but your little group knows

“hey y/n ! read my cards i needa know how this dates gonna go,” “you think you can hex my dad ? maybe cut a few years offa him?”

they took your practice serious, but since this was a pretty new concept to them outside of horror movies and fictitious books they never fully understood it

anyways one day while being harassed by these same couple of jocks whose names you’d learned for a little joke you’d been waiting to pull

mr eddie “the freak” munson happens to be passing by

and you knew him,, well of him + his reputation ,, had a few classes with him too

but honestly you never cared

you stayed in your circle and never ventured further than that

and eddie knew you

he knew you kinda had the same wrap as him

it was hard to not hear about this new “witch of hawkins”

and he never understood the nickname bcuz like ??? there were other goths what made you so scary

until that day

so he’s passing by while the jocks have you cornered

and eddie kinda slows down once he picks up pieces of the conversation

at first it’s just them picking at your make up, jewelry and clothes

and then he sees you digging around in your pocket for something

his attention is fully grabbed when he sees you pull out a small worn voodoo doll that looks vaguely like .. the man standing in front of you

then you finally speak up

“did you know, all I need is your last name, this doll and one strand of hair for me to fully curse your bloodline?”

and then your harassers straighten up a bit and scoff

“yea, sure, as if i’d believe that bullshit”

and then you speak again “well carver you’re in luck cause i’ve been looking for another test dummy”

and then what really does it for munson

is when you start speaking a different language, slow and deep

this is what scares off the two boys in front of you and they start to scurry away

not without a “what the fuck! you are a witch!”

you roll your eyes and scoff then mutter to yourself

“dumbasses wouldn’t know the difference between voodoo and witchcraft if it was taught to them as an actual class”

and you start to head in the direction of the class you’re way too late for

when you’re stopped again

with a sharp sigh you consider ditching this class altogether to have a smoke instead of showing up with only 20 minutes left

you turn around and come face to face with “the freak” himself

smiling widely with stars in his eyes

“Can I help you ?”

and the first thing that comes out his mouth is

“i think you might’ve put a spell on me too sweetheart”

from then on the rest is history

eddie’s nickname for you might be sweetheart but you can attest that the name fits him 100x more than it fit you

he’s so sweet to you

he’s loving and funny and caring and and and and

super flirty

“my girlfriend would be so jealous of how hot you are”

“eddie i am your girlfriend”

“god don’t i know it”

never said he was a good flirt

eddie might be a metalhead and you a goth but he thinks it’s a match made in hell

you’ve given him a couple of recommendations from bauhaus to the cure to depeche mode

and while eddie loves his loud thrash metal, he finds himself drawn to the dark , eerie yet enchanting sounds of your favorite bands.

he’s also given you band recs ! but you won’t let him know that his recommendations are bands you’ve already known and loved.

metallica, megadeth and black sabbath as well as other metal bands were household favorites for your family but the way eddie lights up when talking about their new songs or how that riff is totally something he could nail

you can’t bring yourself to tell him

he doesn’t completely understand your practice as a witch but he’d never disrespect it

“babe so, like, can you talk to ghosts and stuff then?”

you’re always trying to read his cards

you just wanna make sure he’s fully equipped with knowing how to deal with upcoming situations !

oh and eddie loves your makeup

sometimes you go full trad makeup

but sometimes you’re lazy and you just go black eyeliner and some black lipstick

regardless of the look for the day eddie can’t stop admiring you

your outfits are so much cooler than he’ll ever be and they just make you look so much prettier

you guys now become a “cult couple”

you frequent hellfire every now and then and it makes you giggle to watch how animated he is as DM

the kids all know you and were admittedly a little intimidated of you at first

yea eddie’s known as a cult leader but he wears ripped jeans and a denim jacket

you’re always drenched in black fabric exaggerated makeup and have a certain aura to you

“eddie she looks like she talks to crows in a graveyard!” dustin had voiced his opinion when eddie had mentioned her coming to sit in one day

“is she actually a witch ??? because if i accidentally upset her and get hexed i’m blaming you,”

safe to say once they got used to you they liked having you around

your cynical personality made watching you and eddie converse quite entertaining.

empty threats to hex people were also quite fun and something eddie took advantage of

“dude i’m so getting y/n to curse you,”

also !!! your friends think he’s the funniest

at first they’re like “no way you’re going out with munson”

but one day you have him sit with you and he has the whole table laughing

they love having him around so you guys switch off on friend groups

making each other mixtapes !!!!

he puts bands you actually don’t know on it and you’re super shocked like wow wtf this is so good i didn’t know these people existed

and your mixtape to him is like goth love songs bcuz you’re in love and cheesy and ewwww

he thinks you’re the most romantic person alive even though you have trouble voicing your emotions

you’re definitely a gift giver/ acts of service type of lover

so when he listens to the mixtape you’ve made him he really listens to the lyrics in each song and he’s just heart eyes and butterflies

so in love with you dude idk

gets you a black cat as a birthday gift but it’s really just a stray kitten he found that reminded him of you

obviously you love it because you’ve always wanted a familiar but cats are weirdly pricey

you guys brainstorm names together and finally decide on something that fits all of you

wherever you’re at though neither of you care as long as you’re wrapped up with each other with some weed and snacks

It’s been a while since you’ve last seen your boyfriend, with his inability to stay in one place and all. Still, the last thing he expected when he entered your apartment was to see you, shirtless, with a hot compress on your chest.

“Babe?” He drops his bag by the door and slams it behind him, hurrying to your side. “What happened? Are you hurt?”

You’re so excited by his presence that you completely forget about your piercings, leaping up from your spot on the couch to wrap your arms around him. You tug him close to your chest, wrinkling the Hawaiian print fabric of his shirt.

He hugs you back, drawing you closer to his scent of cologne and pina coladas. You sigh—he must have been in the Caribbean recently.

He squeezes you slightly, enjoying the feeling of you in the arms. His chest presses against your sensitive nipples, causing you to flinch back from him and clutch your chest.

“Y/n? What’s wrong?”

What it would be like to marry James : Enby Reader

For @groovyfluxie, who wanted something about marrying James as a nonbinary person. I did this as a list of headcanons because my inbox is quite full at the moment, and I want to be able to get through everything. (Yes, I did bring up social standards at the time, just a warning. It gets happy, don’t worry).

James grew up in a household strictly regulated by societal standards. He still, of course, given his station, feels that there is an obligation for him to meet these standards. Anything outside the regular gender binary, is, at this point, looked down upon.

James is very used to these prejudices, and has been forced to hide many of his own feelings and urges to meet the expectations of society. For him, it’s second nature, though it’s tiring, and he secretly wishes that things weren’t how they are. He knows that anything he does will be in the public eye, and that he must be careful to maintain the reputation of his family.

He may find your being nonbinary to be a bit strange, at first, but he doesn’t particularly see why there should be a problem with it. It’s not like he particularly cares about the gender of his partner, though he knows he can’t admit to it in polite company. He knows that the only thing that matters is who you are as a person. Don’t forget that he still loved Elizabeth when she dressed as a boy and ran off with pirates.

James won’t let anyone talk down to you, and will defend you from anyone who decides that they’re going to have an unwarranted opinion. He’s a rather intimidating man, and all he has to do is give someone a glare before they decide their presence might be needed elsewhere. He knows you can stand up for yourself and take care of yourself, but he doesn’t want anyone thinking that it’s anywhere near acceptable for them to be judging you. He has a bit of a protective streak.

Remember in AWE, when James began to have that idgaf attitude? Yeah, that’s the sort of attitude he begins to have about society’s expectations. To hell with other people’s opinions; it wasn’t as if they were going to decide your futures, anyway. He realizes it’s a lot more important to be with somebody he loves than to listen to societal standards.

His proposal, is, as expected, awkward, but you know that that’s just how he is, and that he has a hard time getting his emotions across. You accept, of course, and he gives you that giant grin that lights up the room. He’s in a bit of shock. He didn’t actually think he’d make it this far in life, so he’s somewhat stunned.

In any case, your actual wedding would be too adorable. James would want to go with the traditional, though he might not necessarily care for a church wedding at all (I’m not entirely sure what the options were, at this point), but he’d want to keep to most customs and find a nice outdoor venue that capitalizes on Port Royal’s good weather. It would probably be modest, because he’s not a super social person.

He is absolutely the type to cry when his partner walks down the aisle. He gets very emotional during the wedding, having always wanted a family, and he can’t believe he’s finally getting that. He wouldn’t take his eyes off of you the entire ceremony, and would hold your hands tightly the entire time, beaming that darling smile of his. For usually being so composed, it’s nice to see James showing earnest emotion for once.

You’d have a nice reception, attended, of course, by the Swann family, as well as many of James’ crew mates. Whetherby couldn’t be more happy for James, and Elizabeth couldn’t be more happy for you. All the boys in the navy would be losing it; they can’t believe that their emotionally constipated commanding officer is getting married. They would be ecstatic, to say the least.

Actual married life with James would be peaceful and domestic. He still can’t believe that he’s sharing his house with someone; it excites him, but makes him nervous at the same time. He wants you to feel at home. Having your things mixed in with his is a constant reminder to him that you’re sharing a space and a life together, and it feels a little surreal.

He’s as sweet as can be, doting on you all the time. James is just that way. He won’t make you do anything you’re uncomfortable with, even if that means sleeping in separate beds. That being said, James is the most touch starved person on the planet, and will melt right into your arms if you hold him. He would appreciate sleeping with you more than anything—just the sleeping, too. He can’t get enough of his arms wrapping around you, holding you close to him. He really enjoys casual, non-sexual intimacy.

You’d spend a lot of your time together at home, preferring to be around each other than going out places. James wouldn’t know what to do, at first, but eases into being less stiff and formal, realizing that he can just be with you instead of needing to act any certain way.

Seeing him relax has to be one of the best parts of your marriage. The way he loses the tension in his muscles the moment he gets home, taking a deep breath and greeting you with open arms, warmth, and love is nothing but endearing. The two of you will spend time reading toghether, whether you’re reading your own books or reading to each other. He likes being able to hold easy conversation with you, talking about his day and things from your pasts.

It takes some time for him to realize that he can open up about deeper things, too, but it only makes him love you all the more when he figures out that you’d rather help him with his problems than not hear them at all. Once he knows that he can come to you about anything at all, he immediately makes it clear that you can do the same to him, and he probably cries a little in relief and gratitude for how loved you make him feel.

He, of course, wants you to feel the same, and never puts any pressure on you to do things. He doesn’t expect you to be solely in charge of the upkeep of the house; he probably hires a maid to that effect. He also doesn’t expect you to cook, though he doesn’t mind nights when the two of you make a meal together, and enjoys that sort of time spent together. This usually ends up making a bit of a mess, but it’s a nice thing to do.

Communication is key between the two of you, so any arguments and problems are eventually solved in a way that satisfies both parties. Other couples don’t quite understand how your marriage seems consistently happy, but you both know the key is being able to sort out disagreements.

Over all, you’d lead a soft, sweet life together. James has always wanted a domestic life, and having one is easily the best thing that’s ever happened to him. That’s not to say that the two of you don’t share plenty of adventures, but at the end of the day (metaphorically) and the two of you are back home together, the world kind of melts away and you can be in a world of your mutual making.

Feel like even though there's a ton of beaches and everything, Valeria's favorite thing would be to relax in a hammock while Reader goes to collect shells or something. It'd be adorable if they made a sandcastle together, too. The little things matter a lot, in my opinion

I have to rewatch the movies (again) because I feel a bit insecure about writing for this fandom, but I’ll absolutely do your request, thank you!

Jack Sparrow:

For Jack, you’re full of surprises, and he loves that

You’re smart, nice, shy and you’re so complex, it intrigues him

First and foremost, he’s in awe to see a shy and kind pirate

You know your way with ships and you’re eloquent like him

Basically, you both know how to talk your way out of stuff

Just that in your case, you’re deceptive because you look shy

And you are, but that’s exactly why you use it as a weapon

Not that you’re devious, you only use it when it’s absolutely necessary

So far you have piqued his interest, but it doesn’t end there

The more Jack talks to you, he realizes that you’re actually shy

But that you have a heart of gold and are a pirate for a good cause

At that point, he’s already very protective of you

Then he eventually finds out you’re Davy Jones’ child

Which at first scares him off when he starts overthinking

What if you just pretended to be nice to get to him?

What if you’re just sent by your dad to inflict pain on him?

But Jack notices you had a lot of chances and never took them

So he starts trusting you again, very cautiously

Seeing as you don’t really agree with Davy Jones that much

Then Jack, who is even more fascinated by you, finds out your other secret

You’re a freaking mermaid?! He thinks it’s amazing, honestly

And he grows more and more curious about you, more than before

When you show him your mermaid form, he’s in awe

You’re even more beautiful than before!

And you being a mermaid can be very handy sometimes

Heck, you’ve saved him from drowning a few times

Now it makes sense why you’re such a good swimmer

Basically, you have Jack right in your grasp, he’s done

If he liked you at first, now he’s lost in love

I wouldn’t exactly call it love, though? But something very close to that

He’s definitely protective of you and needs you have you around at all times
