Hello ! It’s okay, I usually can take on weird messages but when it’s other queer ppl being rude or doing in-community fights, it drains my energy. I also very much love aroace Todoroki. The headcanon is very much dear to my heart and that’s why I think I take the backlash toward the headcanon very personally. For a while I stopped doing little comics about it because I wanted to be left alone but I haven’t give up on AroAceTodo he will come back eventually ! This one was personally important for me to post because I've often struggled with my own identity on the Aroace Spectrum, and I've only recently felt totally comfortable in my asexuality :)

I'm all too familiar with the rampant "ace discourse" on the internet and in real life, and I feel that it's important to normalize these very real, wholeheartedly valid identities. I thought Todoroki was a good subject for that!

I really like how important friendships are in MHA, especially as an asexual person. And like - you can romantically ship whoever you want, I have my own headcanons about romantic ships that aren’t canonically romantic. But when looking at the canon, it’s nice to see how important platonic friendships are.

The league of villains are a found family.

Katsuki and Izuku are childhood friends (to enemies to friends) who mean the absolute world to each other.

Rooftop trio and the Pussycats are so close with their friendship groups that they made/planned to make their hero agencies together.

All of Class 1-A have a tight-knit bond.

The Bakusquad and the Dekusquad exist.

Ochaco, Izuku and Tenya became really good friends really quickly.

Having friends saved Shoto.

Aizawa and All Might go from being work colleagues to bring friends, and this makes a huge impact on All Might’s life.

Like Idk, I know the fandom tends to focus a lot on the shipping aspects, but I would love to appreciate the friendship more, because it’s so important to the characters, and, as an aroace person, it’s really important to me too.

I think AroAce Shoto is my favorite headcanon. (very close in front of KrBk) It brings another dimension to his character. It also aligns with Horikoshi saying he doesn’t want to write to much romance in bnha. Like in my delusion I think if I met him I could convince him.
