I hate researching anything to do with elden ring bc it exposes me to so many people doing backflips to deny that the plot of the story... is the plot of the story.

long ass lore ramble below the cut. but tldr. Miquella is a grown ass man and Mohgs plan is dumb as shit bc he is going to get turned into a soot stain .2 seconds after miqy wakes up,

Like. Ok. there's this queen, Marika, simplifying some things here, but she's the human embodiment/avatar of this God™, to the point we can just call her a goddess so I don't have to explain what the fuck is going on with the Greater Will.

As queen her second in command is the Elden Lord. at the time of the game, there has been 2 Elden Lords¹. Her first husband, and her second husband. As the player, your goal is to become the Elden Lord.

When you get all the way to the end of the game you you marry Marika. Becoming her third Elden Lord. (alternatively you can marry a different woman, Ranni, who's goal is to become a goddess herself and replace Marika as god-queen, so you'll be her Elden Lord instead.)

so we can all agree that Elden Lord as a title, is the title of whoever is married to the god-monarch, right?

and so when a character says they want to be Elden Lord, under the golden order, they intend to marry the god-monarch that is the only way, they know of, to be Elden Lord.

So when the demigods went to war over who was going to be Elden Lord, not king or queen, elden lord, they were fighting to marry Marika. Who is the mother, father (don't ask), or both (don't ask, again) of all the demigods.

which is where my pet peeve comes in. Mohg, my favorite idiot clown, doesn't want to marry Marika. he wants nothing to do with his Mother who dropped him and his twin down a sewer.

Instead Mohg wants to marry one of the empyreans.

Ranni you remember her, Miquella, and Malenia are the empyreans², Ranni is MIA, Malenia is scary, and Miquella is conveniently comatose because he is actively attempting to make the transition from empyrean to God™ and then God-Monarch³ after he kills his momdad⁴. Marika.

which Is To Say. it makes me bonkers when people act like Mohg is the odd man out here. Like He's the weird one for wanting to marry a member of his own family. That's the normal part of his plan! the part that's weird and stupid is he is presuming Miquella won't fucking obliterate him the second he wakes up. He saw the competition for (basically) the corpse of his mom, and said Fuck that, and decided to test his luck with this actively ticking down bomb.

"no people think he's weird for wanting to marry Miquella because Miquella is a child!⁶" no he's not. Miquella and Malenia. are twins. a thing about twins is, they are always roughly the same age. If one of these is an adult so is the other.

¹ there was another elden lord, a dragon who's name I'm not going to try to spell, before the age of Marika and her shit family. no one cares about him. he is included as an asterisk for the pedants.

² Miquella and Malenia are Empyreans by blood bc they're the people Marika is both mother and father too. They have no human half like everyone else. Ranni (Marika is her dad) is an empyrean because she killed her human body and kept her god soul. this asterisk is bc God is this a dumb ass family tree that's annoying and confusing to think about.

³ I've intentionally left Radagon out of as much of this explanation as possible. I do not want to explain Marika making a second her who is a man, so he could go marry this human queen to ensure an alliance with her, father a few problems, and then divorce her to go marry Marika, who he is, and then father two more problems. ⁵

[⁵ Maybe three? Personally I'm pretty sure Melina is a Millicent type situation where she doesn't have a father, unlike the twins who's father and mother are the same person but not in a way that makes sense. but I don't think there's any in game confirmation either way]

⁴ Miquella might be a trans girl? Elden Ring is weird about gender, but that's why I'm still using Monarch instead of king in case she decides to come out and be Queen Trina. Personally I think it would be cool if she was gender fluid but that's a Different Post.

⁶ The man is old enough to start a cult, become a God™, command armies, and send his sister to go fight their shit half brother and permanently destroy part of their continents eco system. Literally. he is Just Short. "he's cursed to be eternally young!" how has that manifested outside of him being scrawny and mildly weaker than the outer gods? He uses people thinking he's a kid to his advantage! He knows how people perceive him as weak despite Malenia herself calling him the scariest of all the demigods for his ability to make people love him and drive people insane. He's a grown ass man and you're falling for the same trick Mohg did and everyone agrees, that guys a fucking idiot.

he doesn’t pay much attention at first, he’s not with you because of your height

but as time goes, he can get used to rest his head on top of yours

also pass his arm around your shoulders to bring him to him if necessary – he’s always kind of shy when your head hit his chest

loves it a lot when you sit between his legs to watch a movie because he can have you close and never worry about not seeing it well

you’ll only get confession about him liking it when it’s really late, sleep is already heavy on his eyes and he pulls you closer

you feel minuscule against his body and he’ll confess how down bad he is for you because you’re so small and cute, it pains him

never mention it tho, he’ll get sulky

Sae

acts normal about it but always hold your hand in the crowd because he’s scared to lose you

also scared to lose you in huge store so he just tag along – if you wear one particular piece that is colorful he’ll look for that instead

he once scold you because he lost you, but not before holding you close or kissing your forehead after checking you were alright

your forehead is were he kiss you the most in fact ‘cause it’s so easy access, it’s asking for it

hold you close to him when you sleep because, 1 he has to keep you warm, and 2 you’re so small he feels like he had to make sure nothing happens to you

deep down he’s down bad for it but doesn’t show it much and acts like he doesn’t care

he still put stuff on the top shelf sometimes for you to ask him for help

he got tricked a few times in fact because you just got on the furniture to get it yourself

his beige flag is that he manhandle you when you annoy him on purpose

he’s the cutest ever I know that for sure

he’s afraid to offend you at first I think but he’s honest and tell you very quickly how cute you are, being so small

it never really stopped after that, even before you started dating he kept on telling you that you were cute

same as rin, he loooves to lay his head on top of yours

he bend to look at things with you but in a respectful, cute, head over heels for you way

holds you all the time when you’re home with him

hold him for behind, nuzzle your nose between his shoulders and he’s on his knees crying about how cute you are

fake crying about it sometimes (my gf does that)

he knows that not your whole personality but damn that’s still very cool to him to have a small s/o

Kaiser

he rest his arms on your head or shoulder to bother you all the time tbh

he’s annoying for sure but at the same time he’s probably whipped for you bc you’re so SMALL

he can grab you all the time so easily

the way you hit on his chest at best and your head rest on his arms when you’re tired and need to recharge

he loves to hold you to his chest in general

grab your chin up to kiss you or force you to go on tip toes to be able to kiss him

but also tells everyone you’re the cutest human being

he can’t help but melt if you pull his shirt or sleeve to kiss his cheeks or lips

you’ll catch him blush more than you might expected

he’s the type to tell you that you’re cute to tease you and see you blush

Hiori

he has a whole album on his phone dedicated to pictures you looks small, you know like those type of pictures for kpop idol

when you’re laying on a bed, rolled into a ball or if you’re standing a certain way and he founds you so cute

he can’t help but giggle every times and snap a picture

you’re totally aware of it the second he laugh that way and you ended up whining at him

probably the less shy after kaiser to tell you that he finds you cute

he wants to hold you close all the time I think, he’s in love with how small you feel against him

lays his head on your shoulder if he catches someone staring at you or if they’re flirting with you

but also does this to simply check what you’re looking at on your phone or read before your shoulder with you

How about an MC that comes back wrong after Belphie kills them? Kind of Jason Todd after he gets dumped in the Lazarus Pit (if you're a DC fan).

Before they get unalived they were the sweetest person ever. Kind, soft, gentle, patient, generous, would rather die than hurt someone's feelings - basically the closest to an angel a human can be.

But after the attic incident, they're all twisted, like death corrupted them. They're still the same MC - they look, sound and have the same memories - but it's like their personality has pulled a 180.

They're harsh, hostile, cold. They go out of their way to ignore everyone and when they do communicate, it's mainly snarky, emotionless remarks. They're full of negativity and it's like they're incapable of having any positive emotions. The only smiles MC gives anyone are full of malice. Not even the undateables are spared from them (just imagine the hurt and confusion poor Luke, Simeon and Solomon feel when their warm-hearted friend acts as though they've been body-snatched for no reason at all one day)

So how would the brothers react to that?

Poor Luke, imagine how sad he would be if MC is mean to him out of nowhere

Demon brothers x gn!MC

MC comes back to life all twisted

Lucifer

He will try to make MC redirect all of their hatred towards him. He has always been the kind to try and take all the pain and this won't be an exception.

His sees this whole ordeal as his fault and he will not let MC bring more harm to themself or his brothers.

He will try to bring them back to their old self. As along as MC doesn't harm his brothers in any way, he will let himself become the victim of their emotionless remarks.

God forbid MC would try anything with the pacts at that time MC didn't get a pact with either Luci or Belphie.

He doesn't want to bring any harm to MC, especially that they are like this due to his negligence, but he won't hesitate to stand up to them in order to protect his brothers.

Mammon

He probably has it the worst out of everyone. He lost both his best friend and the person that was the nicest to him in a matter of seconds.

Still sticks to their side, even if they treat him like shit. He feels like he owns them at least that after failing to protect them.

He is already used to being treated like shit by the witches, so MC being full of malice won't be anything new, at least that's what be wants to tell himself. In reality it hurts way more seeing a person that used to be so warm and kind being hostile towards him.

Will try to see if there is any way he could 'wake up' MC and get them back to normal.

Leviathan

This isn't the type of twisted MC he is into looks at the 2021 HDD MC

All the confidence he has built up until that point with MC's help will be crushed by none other than the human that he considered his player two.

He would go between locking himself up in his room and trying to help his Henry. It's quite the vicious cycle where his self image just gets worse and worse, especially when he sees that MC keeps on being heartless to him. At some point he will just give up and take all of the heartless remarks since in his mind he deserves them.

Satan

He would throw himself into research in order to turn them back to their kind and nice self. To the person who helped see that he is more than Lucifer's shadow and more than the sin of wrath.

There is also the fact that he would get angry at MC and would have to leave their side A LOT. And the worst part? MC probably take pleasure in that.

He would try to help them only to leave cause if he would have stayed for more time in their presence he would have went all demon form on them. He hates that he feels anger towards them, which only leads to feeling wrath towards himself.

Asmodeus

This man is crushed. The person that loved him for who he is, who didn't need to be charmed in order to like him suddenly lost all of their love for him.

Each time he makes eye contact with MC he can feel how they're mocking him. They no longer adore him, and no amount of his charm or effort would make MC look at him with an adoring gaze.

He is probably the one that is ignored the most by MC. They know that Asmo wants their attention, even if it's in the form of hate, so they always act like he doesn't exist.

Beelzebub

This just adds to his survivor's guilt. First he sees MC dying and then they come back all twisted.

MC would probably attack where it hurts the most and make Beel feel like he is a failure of a protector.

He would keep on trying to reach out to MC to help them only to be rudely pushed aside. He would even try to give them his food as a peace offer but of course that wouldn't work.

He would go between refusing to eat due to the guilt eating him from the inside and eating way more than usual to ignore the situation.

Belphegor

He is about to get a dose of his own medicine.

Any chance of making up with MC or having a normal relationship with his brothers is out of the window.

MC is no longer the same and he has no way to make it up to them. And since MC is all twisted, they won't help him mend his relationship with his brothers. MC being all mean might make the whole situation worse.

He might or might now still offer his pact to them, but this time as a way for them to punish him and leave his brothers alone.

Y’all I have such a soft spot for Ruggie now after writing that fic for him. Seriously he’s one of my little meow meows. I will protect him at all costs.

Savanaclaw: When You’re Sick

The worst thing to ever happen to you while attending Night Raven College had to be, hands down, getting sick. You were alone in the dorm with only ghosts and Grim to keep you company, and as much as you loved them, they couldn’t take care of you when you became sick. This meant you had to make do and hope that everything was alright. Normally if you were under the weather, you’d just suck it up and go to class so as to not worry anyone. This time however, that wasn’t an option.

You woke up with every muscle in your body feeling sore and aching with even the slightest movement. Your stomach churned something fearsome and you had a runny nose and cough to boot. You had no idea what illness you had fallen to. Having so many symptoms…you could only assume it was the flu or something akin to that.

Still, there was no way you were making it to class like this. So begrudgingly you told Grim you weren’t feeling good and needed to rest, and to go to class and get your homework so you could do it later. The demon cat was grumpy about not having his henchman, but eventually gave in, leaving you alone to rest in your room and hope that whatever you had would go away.

Leona Kingscholar

He’s one of the biggest liars when it comes to saying he doesn’t care that you’re sick. Ruggie will probably be the one to bring it up after Leona notes that you weren’t around and bugging him like always. Ruggie is going to be smug while saying he heard you had a horrible cold and couldn’t make it out of bed, and how you were all alone since Grim didn’t know how to take care of humans. He’s going to just brush it off and pretend like it doesn’t matter as it’s “Not my problem.”, but Ruggie can see the annoyed tail twitch of his as he stews in emotions.

Leona, as most would assume, sucks at taking care of others. He is a spoiled prince through and through, as he was always being pampered when he was sick. He at least knows the basics though, so he isn’t dreadful. Just don’t expect him to be very capable. He’ll probably be getting the school nurse to do most of the work to make sure you’re okay. After all, it’s better than him trying to do so and making your situation even worse.

When he’s taking care of you, he only does the basics. Make sure you've eaten and have your meds. Anything else and he’s getting the school nurse to do it so you’re properly cared for. Still, the grumpy lion will lay down next to you, even if you protest about him getting sick if he’s too close. He’ll just say it’s quieter here since nobody is going to disturb you while sick, so he’s taking advantage of the opportunity. Thankfully you do need a lot of rest though, so you two will be asleep for most of it until you’re finally better and on the mend.

Once you’re all better, he’s expecting a “thank you” since he helped make sure you were better. He won’t do this for just anyone, so you should feel grateful. Of course he is relieved that you’re feeling well again, but he’s going to make sure you’re well aware that he won’t be doing this again. So you better not be getting sick anytime soon or else you’ll be on your own. Another lie he tells, since everyone at the school knows damn well that Leona would help you again the moment you have a slight cough.

Ruggie Bucchi

Ruggie is just going to assume that Grim is, once again, being dramatic. He has more important things to do than taking care of someone for free. Still, he can’t stop the small nagging feeling in the back of his mind that maybe Grim wasn’t being dramatic about the situation. It’s going to distract him and he will mess up things he normally wouldn’t, and Leona is eventually going to get annoyed and tell him to just go check on you so he can stop being so scatterbrained and do his job well again.

Good news is Ruggie is pretty proficient in taking care of other people. Growing up how he did, it was a skill that was needed to survive. Of course normally when he was sick he dealt with it himself, but when someone he cares for is sick he goes full nurse mode. The moment he sees just how bad you are, he’s going to go from 0 to 100 real fast. He might even tell you that you’re an idiot for not contacting him earlier when you were this sick, even though you explained you could barely get up, let alone message him.

He already knows what to do with making sure you’re better, and the good news is the school nurse gives medicine for free. Perks of going to an esteemed college…and Ruggie may or may not have taken extra medication “just in case”. Still, he’s going to be by your side the entire time, taking care of you and doing anything you ask. If you need help standing, say no more. He’s picking you up already so you don’t have to worry about walking. He’s an excellent nurse, but he will note that you owe him later.

Once you’re finally feeling well, Ruggie is going to be reminding you that you owe him. If you previously took care of him in the past while he was sick though, then he’ll say you guys are even. He might comment that next time he has to be your nurse, he’s expecting payment. Just tell him thank you and ruffle his hair and he’ll be quiet real fast, leaning into your touch and accepting the praise. Sometimes you wondered if he was secretly a puppy beastman.

Jack Howl

Jack is already on high alert when you don’t show up to school with Grim; you always show up to class with Grim. Even when you were feeling under the weather you’d drag yourself to classes; and he always knew when you were sick since people always smelled a bit sour, so not coming in because you were sick was worrisome. After hearing from Grim that you couldn’t even get out of bed this morning, the feeling only amplifies. He excuses himself from class and rushes over to your dorm, feeling dread in the pit of his stomach.

Jack is pretty neutral with taking care of someone when sick. He’s not amazing, but he’s not bad either. He knows what needs to be done for the most part, and he’s not afraid to grab the school nurse to check in on you as well. After finding out the best care treatment for you, he’s going to be following it. He’s also not leaving your bedside until you’re better as he doesn’t trust you not to get up while sick to try and do school work…which granted was something he should be worried about because magical homework was actually kind of fun.

Again, he’s not leaving your side, and he’s not letting you lift a finger while you’re sick. If you need something, you best tell him so he can grab it for you. He doesn't want you over exerting yourself since it’ll take longer to feel better. He also does a good job being a guard dog and making sure nobody disturbs you while you’re trying to get better. Running off Grim and Adeuce is now part of his job, not wanting them to accidentally rile you up and send you into a coughing fit.

He’s going to be more relieved then you are to be better. He has dark circles under his eyes from not resting properly as he keeps an eye on you. You’re going to have to drag him to the spare room at the dorm to make sure he rests now. Even while half asleep, he’s going to be trying to make sure you’re really better and not just saying you are so he’ll go to bed. Assure him and he’ll pass out the moment his head hits the pillow. Wake him up in a couple hours with something home cooked and he’ll let you know you don’t owe him anything for helping him out.

Ope, another new character that's not actually new and has technically been a full fledged character in my brain for a while now.

Their name is Angel, and their basic premise is that they are a "Guardian" (creature made to look after a himan, read specifics under cut) of a girl named Lilly.

Again, I go a bit more in-depth after the cut, but feel free to send me asks about them!!

(TW: SH and Attempted Suicide mentions under the cut. I will highlight the paragraph/s containing this in red, so you can skip over them if you would like)

Background Information:

Angel lives in a world where about 1 in every 3 people are granted a "Guardian" at birth. Most people only get one Guardian, and its rare to have more than one. The purpose of a Guardian is to help their human with making decisions, though that's not to say Guardian dont have their own personalities. Guardian look and act like humans, but are much smaller (they are normally 9-12 cm tall once full grown). Guardians also mature at the same pace as humans, and do grow to get taller and or more mature.

Guardians dont need food or water, but many choose to eat and drink because they like the taste.

Each Guardian has the ability to sprout wings. Their wings are part of the Guardian, and cannot be changed or altered, though the type of wings can be anything from bird like to bat like. Guardians also posses the ability to teleport to the human they Guard.

Guardians are near unkillable, the only way to kill one being that both of their wings need to be cut off.

Angel is a Guardian of Lilly, alongside Lilly's other Guardian, Ash. As depicted above, Angel does not look human at all, something they are mocked for constantly. They have paws, fluffy ears, and have white and black fur all over his body. They also has a tail (which is not shown in the picture).

Angel and Ash got their names from a common phrase which refers to the Guardians as "an Angel and a Devil". The phrase was originally something to degrade people who had 2 Guardians, since many thought that those born with 2 Guardians were cursed to be born with one angel and one devil. But since that theory has been debunked in modern times, its now used to say that someone has 2 Guardians.

Angels story:

Angel had a normal childhood, but things started getting rough when Lilly started school. Kids would point out Angels strange appearance, some being meaner about it than others. After the kids started to get meaner to both Lilly and Angel around 4th-5th grade, Lilly stopped claiming Angel and ignored them. This caused Lilly to start really bonding with Ash, while her and Angel did not get that same bond.

Angel is also ignored by Lilly's family, since many in her family dont have Guardians and as such dont know how to interact with them. Both of these factors worsened once Lilly hit middle school, and she herself started bulling Angel as well. Her and Ash started mocking Angel and making backhanded comments about them to their face. They would also play pranks on Angel, directly putting them in harms way.

Often, when it came to holidays, Angel wouldn't get gifts, and if they did it was often something small or something Lilly or Ash discarded.

Once in Highschool, Lilly and Ash started to get more elaborate with their pranks. Lilly read online a meme that was along the lines of "Technically, since Guardians are small enough and they cant die, you could eat them lol", which Lilly then took as a great prank to pull on Angel.

In short, Lilly ate Angel, and kept them for a few days before spitting them back out.

While in Lilly's stomach, Angel started to reevaluate their worth to Lilly, and confidently decided that they were practically useless. Lilly was functioning just fine without Angel, and they didnt think they would be missed.

Once let back out, they waited till everyone was asleep, and went to the kitchen. They tied a string to the hilt of a knife, and anchored it to a drawer handle, acting like a makeshift guillotine. They placed the joint connecting their wing and torso under it, and let go of the string. Their wing was severed from their body, the resulting pain making them scream for a moment. After calming down, they pulled the string to bring the knife in the air once more. Right as they positioned their second wing, Lilly's mom entered the kitchen. Upon seeing Angel, she quickly screamed for Lilly to wake up. She picked up Angel, wrapped their nub with a paper towel, and thrusted them into Lilly's hands. She threw the wing into a bag with ice and ran to the car.

Once at the ER, the doctors tried to reattach Angels wing, but unfortunately it did not work.

After this incident, Lilly realized just how drastically mean she has been to Angel. Since it had just been the norm to her, and since Angel had never fought back, she hadn't thought to stop till then. She decides to try and be better towards Angel, working to build a bond with them.

What my drawing depicts is a moment a few days after the incident. Angel had by then convinced themself that they are only useful when they are "food", and in the drawing, Angel is trying to convince Lilly to eat them again.

So ya, my poor poor trauma ridden Angel......

Twisted Wonderland Headcanons Heartslabyul + Che'nya

I finally have the time to do this post. I've wanted to do this one for a while but life and other stuff got in the way. So... Yeah! All character art used is by me, headcanons may have some basis on friends hcs I like, but overall its very much what I think. More under the cut.

Riddle Rosehearts

Mixed Asian and Latino (if in our world);

has eyebags and moles on his face but hides it with makeup as best as he can;

Red undertone skin, very rosy;

Everything about his appearance is kept pristine and proper. His hair is always combed, his nails are manicured, no body or facial hair, etc;

Probably has undiagnosed autism;

So sheltered from the real world, he has trouble keeping real conversations without overanalyzing everything being said or bringing up the Queen of Hearts rules;

I had a weird thought but if MC does end up getting pregnant with either Lilia or dawny's kid (one or two more? Who knows) after MC comes back from time travel, I feel like Silver would have a very big age gap with his potential younger siblings.

Technically, Silver is 417 years old from his time travel stasis, right?

Even if Silver was put to sleep along with dawny, he already had a huge age gap difference, I think?

Also any of the kids MC had with Lilia may potentially outlive Silver and Dawny since they're half fae and can potentially live longer than humans despite their half-blood.

This ended up being unexpectedly angsty but... I thought it would be funny and interesting to see everyone count the ages.

To answer your question, I think it depends how we would consider Silver’s age. Even in canon, though he is technically 417 years old, he hasn’t “lived” those years. His body was basically frozen. So he’s 17, and in this case, it would still apply the same here (if we go the somewhat canon route).

If YN did have children again, it would still be a pretty big gap of 17 years (or more, depending) between them and Silver. If YN had children will Lilia, then yes, there’s a potential of them living past Dawn and Silver 😔

From what we can assume with Sebek, they will grow normally, and maybe in the future their growth will slower at maturity. There’s no confirmation, but given all the stories I read with this type of pairing, that’s usually what happens.

While it might be painful to see loved ones pass, at least the children won’t be alone. They’ll still have family to be their rocks and support them through hard times.

And as someone who loves the reincarnation/soulmate trope, well, it’s a matter of time before a reunion happens isn’t it?

The most hilarious part would be, how do they count the ages? Because at this point: Malleus has lived longer and is older, Silver if we count his sleeping years is in the 400s, Dawn would be older as well and then even YN would technically be double their age (or more), so the true baby in the family is Sebek 🤣🤣 Poor Sebek, he might be tall but he’s the baby.

I can just see the first years making fun of Sebek this way too, but specially when he’s being his fun old self.

Hi! Hope you're doing well!

I'm trying to learn how to properly draw people. I'm fairly decent at drawing objects, but people? Nope, that's out of question. So, do you have any tips for a beginner? Like what should I focus on, any YT channels, etc.?

(If you see this ask on other pages as well, it's because I'm sending this to my favorite artists on this site <3)

I don't know if I'm exactly the person you should asking, seeing as I'm still fairly new to art so I'll point you in the direction of a few of my personal favorite artists as well! I do have a few tips and exercises for you that I've found to be quite helpful (if not fun) that have been passed down to me by other artists and teachers, though.

1. You should really learn your anatomy before you try to find your specific style. Without knowing the basics first, you'll probably jump around and have no consistency when drawing the same character. Knowing the body is very, very important.

Exercise 1: Using reference photos (I recommend dancing and sports photos for more dynamic shapes, beauty influencers and photographery for what is typically "attractive," and lots of different body types and skin tones for a diverse and more realistic character) and trying to figure out the line of action, then make a gesture drawing to get the basic feel of the body's movements, then the shapes of the body, etc.

Exercise 2: (The fun version) Draw a random shape. Yes, a random one - it can be pointed or round or wavy. It just has to connect. Then, try to make a character that fits in the bounds of that shape. This will push you to try to figure out what is necessary to make a human look, well, human, and also limit the clutter of your characters' accessories and clothing. It also helps you create a unique silhouette (which is always great when making a good, recognizable character)

2. Colors! I'm sure you know basic color theory from when you learned how to draw objects, but if not, you should definitely get on that. It's best to know what colors work best with specific skin tones or whatever you're putting on your character. There are a lot of color theory videos on YT which I think you should check out!

Exercise 1: Limit yourself to 1 color - you may only use variations of that color for your entire character. Yes, this includes skintone and hair. This exercise helps you with values and gets you connected to what places need darker or lighter colors. It's also just really, really fun.

Exercise 2: (Variation of 1) Find a color pallette and stick to those colors exclusively. Try to use the 60-30-10 rule if possible (meaning 60% of the character is one color, 30% is a different color, and 10% is another color). Not everyone adheres to this rule since character design is fluid, and you can do whatever the heck you want, but I personally think that it helps to push your knowledge of color.

Exercise 3: The internet is your best friend. Find a very colorful image online of a model that you really like, or a person that's sitting in some nice lighting, or even an animated character that had some funky colors. Try to imitate the rendering. Shading is pretty important when learning how to draw because it can really change how the muscle looks without it. (Depending on your style, shading can look very, very different.)

3. (Extension of Color) Once again, shading is very important! Depending on the project, however, the way you should shade can be very different. For animations, shading is typically minimal so that they can focus on the movement and not slave over their computer for days on end shading and shading and shading. Keep that in mind! For cartoon or anime art styles, it's often blocky and not blended. For real-life proportions and art styles, it's often blended and rendered (and normally without line-art if that's the route you wanna go 👍).

Exercise 1: Try out and study all sorts of art styles and shading types! It's really helpful in the future if you want to know what you like best! If you want to study a specific artists' art, it's best to ask them beforehand, however. Get their OK before starting. If they say no, then don't. (By the way, no art style is original, no matter what anyone says.)

Eeeekk!!! Screams!!! I love sharing how they look so this is...very good question for me. This is a bit of a...long list so I'm putting it under the cut, though I'm going to try and not type more than like three sentences or less for each of them so it's mostly just gonna be pictures. But I'm just showin my humanized ideas for how my primary F/Os look, but I do have humanized headcannons for...I kid you not everyone in the franchise.

!!!Not all the art here is mine!!! For the art that is not mine I will be writing their respective credentials and what social media platform it was originally posted on. I tried to stick to using my art as much as I could but I don't have a lot of digital drawings of them, nonetheless ones I'm ready to reveal to the world haha(though some I'll gladly share)

I'm pre-appologizing(/half joking) for not having any normal drawings of F.inn, I don't know how all my digital drawings(that are colored) of him ended up being incredibly self-indulgent, I didn't even realize I did that till now! things about my ocs cuz why not?

nhell rivers has lots of scarring on her body, especially the right side because of an explosion that was so powerful it blown off her arm and she made herself (with help) a metal arm in place of the missing arm (spoilers: the cause of said explosion was a firework from one of the enemy's grunts but the firework was more explosive than expected).

nhell rivers is also pretty much deaf in her right ear.

kaoru takamura is actually so psychopathic (needs to be in a mental hospital) that she mostly acts and appears “normal” to almost everyone, though that may or may not be a front she skillfully puts on. anyone who do know kaoru well enough mainly avoid her for good reasons, she doesn't care enough to be sad lol.

melaine harrison likes to go cloud gazing by herself since she hates loud noises and most of her friends are too much of a nuisance for her to focus and peaceful relax.

melaine harrison has a scar on the left side of her face that she got from a forest fire (yes, she lives in the woods with her parents that are still alive after the incident).

evgenia yefimova hates blue fire because it reminds her of the day her home burned down alongside her parents and younger sister, miriam—yet she uses blue fire against her opponents and enemies with her urumi sword.

freya danesworth is a short half-sparrow human, and they work as a delivery guy to earn money for a café called Artful Dreams which she works for as a side-job.

brooklyn is pretty much fearful of basically nothing except she fears breaking promises, and she's also a clean freak too- but not the obnoxious type of freak, like, “oh you stepped on a perfectly clean floor with your muddy shoes and thats okay itll be cleaned up in no time” type of freak.

brooklyn loves cleaning actually and is skilled in getting rid of messes she made during her murders and killings.

also part of kaoru and nhell's relationship (somewhat) summarized:

nhell: *gets down on one knee* kaoru: oh my god, it's finally happening! nhell: *falls over* kaoru: the poison is kicking in!!

sucrose qu-yang cannot say no, ever. people thinks she's cursed with that inability but no she just has anxiety x10.

oscar wilde and sucrose qu-yang are besties actually and both work in the same work place, probably gossip and talk about oscar's works (both of them are writers).

penni pennington has a bottle cap collection and refuses to show anyone except for his mother, merryy, cuz she's so nice and radiates warmth—probably named a red jet bird he found after her.

penni pennington has a scottish accent mixed with a swiss accent and speaks so joyously, he never is ever seen mad or the least bit annoyed.

celen nishiruka & kaname nishiruka are opposites like the moon and the sun; kaname is a lot more expressive than celen who is more reserved and stoic—and they're so young too!

krystian karmazin's first name literally means “follower of christ” since he came from a very religious family yet ironically the ukrainian man himself is an atheist and a silly jester who follows no rules (but will respect boundaries and pronouns).

if miriam yefimova happened to have survived the All Blue Fire, she would've been a spy working in the same group of evgenia yefimova who works as an assassin.

both miriam & evgenia yefimova don't like pirozhki that have mushrooms as the filling because both the sisters have allergies towards mushrooms (aka, they both dislike mushrooms).

coventina blackwood likes ghosts and spirits or anything transparent object/creature, and her skill revolves around spirits but they're mainly just arms (kind of like the hana hana no mi, eaten by nico robin).

benjamin baker is the shortest male character (152 cm, 5'0") while krystian karmazin is the tallest (228 cm, 7'6"). kaoru takamura is the tallest female character (211 cm, 6'11), compared to freya danesworth (159 cm, 5'2").

if competing in a competition where who is the most stoic, both evgenia yefimova and izu mikazuki are both tied as the most non-expressive people.

izu mikazuki has been mistaken so much as a woman that he just simply accepted that he'll always be woman in the eyes of people at first glance (he's a male assigned at birth).

Okay listen to me,

The ministry lays deep within the woods and is almost impossible to find. It gets protected by a powerful spell so that only some people can find it.

Even the part of the woods where its in is protected. Non chosen people just see a field, chosen people see dark almost threatening trees.

These people get two choices, either they can leave this part of the woods and never find it again or they will become siblings of sin serving the dark lord until their human lives end and what comes after that.

If they choose to leave their lives will continue like before, the memory of finding it will vanish, the choice if they will become an angel, demom or ghost will happen after their death.

If they choose to become a sibling of sin small invisible demons will fly into their home packing their things. Soon after the family will report the Person missing.

The sibling is not allowed to leave the ministry until the police will report the finding of the Persons body (don't worry its only an illusion, the person isn't actually dead).

If the Person enters the forest theres a sign saying "God ends" if the sibling walks out theres a sign saying "God continues" it used to be in italien but they changed it so people who don't speak italien can understand it.

When a sibling dies, they either will become a ghost or a demon.

How are heaven and hell?

People think that heaven is this wonderful and special place where its peaceful and everyone is happy. But no.

It's actually the complete opposite, everyone is the same its filled with striced rules, everyone gets controlled. Angels actually hunt demons saying they need to elemante the "evil".

We get taught that if you go to hell you will burn and will suffer for all eternity.

Which isn't true. Only the bad people will get punished (bullies, rapists sometimes killers). Hell is a place of diversity where you can live out your sexuality (without anyone getting hurt of course) and not get punished for being yourself.

Problem is, ever so often angels attack certain areas of hell. Want to know why? God doesen't want people to know that demons are mostly harmless (unless they are hungry of course).

What happens when the band ghouls leave the band?

Most of the time ghouls don't get send back after retirering.

Most of the time retired band ghouls get a job that non band ghouls have.

Ether ghouls will get a job at the infarmery

Earth ghouls take care of the fields and farm animals (siblings and ghouls rarely leave the ministery unless they are band ghouls and so on).

Fire Ghouls help in the kitchen as cooks

Air ghouls get a cleaning job except if they have a dissabelity of course (zephyr often chills in den Band ghoul den)

Water ghouls also get a cleaning job sometimes being pool boys/pool girl or as a plumper (someone needs to do it)

Multi Ghouls mostly get Jobs as craftsmen craftswomen.

There are three types of ghoul dens

For the normal ghouls, for the retired band ghouls and for the band ghouls

The normal ghoul den is less cozy and luxurious then the one for the retired band ghouls and band ghouls

The rooms are a smaller and the beds are made of less fancy woods and the sheets aren't made of silk. The living room has a medium sized sofas and TV. The kitchen is also smaller

The den for the retired ghouls is more fancy, the rooms are about the same size and their get to keep the beds. The livingroom for the retired ghouls isn't as cozy looking as the one for the band ghouls, the Walls aren't dark and they don't have a fire place. The Kitchen is larger but not as fancy looking.

Now the den for the band ghouls is pure luxury. The rooms have the finest carpets and the bed sheets are made of silk (even though the ghouls use basic sheets instead of the fancy ones because cum etc.), the bed frame are made out of the finest black oak wood, the bathrooms look like the ones that only the richest people would use. Do I even need to talk about the living room? The couch is made of the softest velvet, the TV is large and they have a fire place underneath it. A god damn fire place that looks like its straight ripped out of a fairytale scastle. And the kitchen is really big and the table is made out of marble. (I hope I made you jealous.)

How does the Emeritus Bloodline work?

Well you see, Nihil married into the bloodline, so that means Sister actually carries it.

If any one of the papas becomes a father and the kid or one of the kids will take on the role as Sister Imperator.

If none of the papas will well be a papa or they won't have a daughter or daughters, another girl who isn't sisters granddaughter from the Emeritus bloodlind (most likely a niece from imperator yes I headcanon that she has siblings) will take on the role as imperator.

Believe it or not prime movers aren't only for the papas, Seestor chose marriage instead of having a prime mover (and yes she deeply regrets that choice). The women in the bloodline will begin sister "training" at the age of seven, which basically means what you need to do and what their responsibilities are as sister imperator.

Believe it or not being Papa is bellow being sister imperator, being papa only lasts 41 years max. While being sister imperator will last from their 18th year until they die. So someone could be sister imperator from 18 until 100. Yeah. Being THE sister is a huge responsibilitie.

The ministery is hundrets of years old. It began somewhere in the dark ages, being founded by the dark lord himself. The Emeritus bloodline are all part demon for some reason the demon part didn't wash away throughout the years.

Women can actually reach the rangs that men can reach in church.

For a man to become Papa (and yes being Mama Emeritus is also possible) the sister actually doesent have to marry you. You could "just" be her partner, even though when you choose this path theres more paper work.

(I forgot to add something Lilith and Satan founded the ministery just so you know)

Not only the dark Lord is worshipped but also Lilith (if you don't know who she is, she was Adams first wife and she was made out of the same Material as him. But she got banished for having her own will.)

In the ministery there is no diffrence between men and women both of them are treated equaly (except for the leader part etc.).

There are no things like sacrafising goats, virgins, killing people for rituals etc.

But there is some baging with eachother its a sinful church afterall. (But theres no sex rituals with minors or rape or something like that)

The minimum age of siblings who run into the church is 18. But the youngest chosen one was 16.

The kids who are born in the ministery get trained to be a sibling at the age of 6. (Yes there is a school in the ministery.)

And yes there are nurses, doctors etc. And yes abortion is allowed and seen as healthcare (how its supposed to be!) until the 20th week.

And yes theres also an orphanage, they actually want the kids to have a pretty normal life.

what advice would you give to a trans person who is terrified of getting health checks such as pap smears? I'm generally rather touch-averse and that doubled with the dysphoria makes it very scary to think about.

Hi Anon,

This is a topic close to my heart, because I myself am touch-averse and have a trauma response to pelvic examinations. I also want to make sure everyone understands why it's important to get pap smears!

Let's start with what pap smears are, why they're important, and who they are for. Maybe understanding that will be the first step in finding the strength and courage to go through with them.

QUICK ANATOMY & PHYSIOLOGY LESSON - THE PAP SMEAR

What is a pap smear for?

Your cervix is the gateway to your uterus, sitting atop the vagina. It's a thick ring of muscle that is normally closed, opening just a tiny bit for menses to escape (the sensation of the muscle opening is what causes cramps).

Now, the trouble comes when cervical cells have been infected with a virus called human papillomavirus (or HPV) - especially certain "high-risk" strains. HPV is very common in the human population - almost everyone sexually active has had it at some time, with about 50% of infections being a high-risk type. Most people just clear the virus themselves and never even know. But sometimes, this viral infection will start a process of dysplasia (basically growing weird cells), which can be the start of cervical cancer.

The job of a pap smear is to check the cervical cells for dysplastic changes that indicate things might progress towards cancer, or for the virus itself. (What it looks for specifically depends on your age and previous results, but the process is the same for you). When lesions are found early, they are VERY easily treatable. The pap smear saves thousands of lives every year by preventing cervical cancers.

How is a pap smear performed?

A device called a speculum will need to be inserted into your vagina to hold open the walls of the vagina and allow the provider to visualize the cervix. Once this is in place, a soft brush-like device is passed up through the vagina, pressed against the cervix, and swirled around several times to collect cells. This may feel weird or uncomfortable, but shouldn't cause pain. Most people don't feel it at all, the speculum being the worst part. The whole thing takes about one minute.

Separate from the pap smear, the provider may also perform a bimanual exam, which is when they insert fingers from one hand into the vagina while pressing down on the abdomen, to look for masses, abnormalities or tenderness.

Who needs a pap smear?

CURRENTLY (as of 2023), everyone with an intact cervix who is 21 or older is recommended to get pap smears, regardless of gender identity, sexual orientation, or sexual history. Between ages 21-29, you should go every 3 years, and after age 30, every 5 years (depending on results - if you get a positive, you would need more frequent observation).

If you are older than 21 and have never had any kind of sexual contact with anyone at all (including hands, mouths, or sharing toys!), you can discuss with your provider to see if a modified schedule may make sense based on your risk level.

Note: The HPV vaccine may change these recommendations in the future! I strongly recommend getting the vaccine if you have not already!

OK, Anon. With that public service announcement out of the way, let's talk about the real meat of your question.

The best thing I can recommend is to take the time to find a provider you vibe with. Someone with whom you feel safe, with whom you have mutual respect. See if your local LGTBQIA+ support group has recommendations, or if any clinics in your area have providers that specialize in LGTBQIA+ or trauma-informed care. Call and ask providers questions about how they handle people who struggle with pelvic exams. Generally, avoid crusty old men.

A good provider will warn you before ever touching any part of your body, go slowly, and ask permission each time, and stop the second you tense up. A GREAT provider will make you feel in control the whole time - they may let you insert the speculum yourself and not make you use stirrups if they're triggering for you. Medical consent is the same as sexual consent - just because you're disrobed in that room doesn't mean you need to let anyone touch you. You do not have to undergo a pap smear with a provider you don't trust. You are allowed to walk away.

Other things to try:

You can ask for a short-acting anti-anxiety medicine, like Xanax, to take before the visit, provided you've got a ride.

You can bring a companion, or ask for a nurse to hold your hand.

Chat nonstop, tell stupid jokes, or listen to music on headphones, whatever kind of distraction works best for you.

Meditate, practice belly breathing, really focus on full body relaxation, especially of the pelvic muscles

Remind yourself that it's one minute every few years for the piece of mind that you won't get cancer.

Be open to the possibility that it won't be as bad as you're fearing.

Know that you are brave and strong. You can do hard things. You can do anything for one minute.

The Ultimate Guide to the Red Star System! (AKA: What the Fuck are We Doing?)

Hello, everyone! It’s been quite some time since we’ve made something ourselves, and we figured that it’s high time we try to do that. Today, we saw a post about how someone should post a thing about how their system works, how their headspace looks, etc.. So I, the host, wanted to do just that. It may be mostly me typing this up, but the others may chime in from time to time. I’ll have to color the paragraphs accordingly whenever we reach the final stages of editing this massive wall of text.

(Note: There may be a new face appearing in this document-- I’m not sure if he’s ready to talk yet, but he is here as we type this.)

So, where should we start? Ah, I know!

System Structure

The structure of this system is somewhat based on a sci-fi space crew; think Star Trek. Internally, there are only two sets of ranks so far, but there may be more in the future. These ranks include: Medical Officers, and Security Officers. These rank sets divide further, depending on the headmate’s purpose. For example: if someone has the rank of Chief Medical Officer, it means that their primary job is to make sure that my physical needs, medical or otherwise, are met. They can also ask other Medical Officers, or Security Officers to check in on me whenever need be. Now, let’s look at who’s in what rank in the system!

Members & Ranks

• Knockout is, as stated in our pinned introduction, the Chief Medical Officer. As I said above, his job is to make sure my body’s needs are met. And, he also counsels me on what actions to take in regards to my health.

(Note: Since he isn’t human, he can’t truly discern what the human body requires to function; aside from organs. So, he always tells me to contact my doctor.)

• Breakdown is simply a normal Medical Officer. This basically means that he’s a nurse of sorts. His job, like Knockout, is to monitor my physical state, and help me do things to better my health-- mostly through suggestion. He also doubles as a Security Officer, meaning that he protects me from certain things; mostly emotional stressors.

• Starscream is a Security Officer. However, unlike Breakdown, he protects me from confrontation. If there’s any sign of aggression, he steps up to the front to handle it. Or, he advises me through it while he’s co-conscious. He’s also a Boundary Enforcer, meaning he helps me set hard boundaries on whatever makes me uncomfortable.

• Nanaki is a Councilor, meaning that he offers advice in times of turmoil or distress. He aids mostly in helping me deal with my anxiety.

• Cloud is, like Starscream, a Security Officer. However, his duty is to protect me whenever I’m in social situations that involve crowds. So, think crowd control. Whenever I start getting nervous in crowds, he fronts.

• Miguel is Head of Security. Whenever there is a perceived threat, physical or otherwise, it’s his job to handle it. He’s a lot more aggressive than the other Security Officers, so he may come off as nasty to some.

• ???: Given what he does in his universe, I’m willing to say he’s a Security officer. (That’s me! Heyyo! :3c)

Are There Any Differences Between Your System Members & Their Canon Selves?

For some, yes. Others, no.

Knockout, Breakdown, and Starscream aren’t all that different from what’s seen in Transformers Prime. However, the one difference with them is that they joined the Autobots’ side some time after the events started.

Cloud and Nanaki are the same as their canon depictions.

Miguel, on the other hand, is a stark contrast to what we see in ATSV. He has a ton of differences, both physically and in regards to personality. For starters, his defining physical characteristics are that he has gray hair on the back of his neck. On his face, are two scars. One over his left eyebrow, and one going kitty corner-- left to right, across his lips. His eyes are red, and he wears a black, white, and red suit. Personality wise, he’s a lot calmer, and a lot sweeter when you get to know him. He’s also not as willing to resort to violence (So no, he didn’t hurt Miles.). He’ll only get aggressive if he has to. He’s also very accommodating to others’ needs (See the Headspace section!).

??? is very similar to what we see in his canon depiction. However, he still has his wings in their entirety.

System Type

Our system is Endogenic in origin, meaning we do not stem from trauma. However, that doesn’t mean we aren’t disordered. As you’re about to read, Shane has some disorders of his own that may have resulted in our arrival here.

The Host

Hi there! I’m the host-- you know, the one typing all this up! You can call me Shane or Sylum. I’m physically disabled-- Muscular Dystrophy, to be specific. I’ve had it since I was born, meaning I can’t do any physical activities without assistance; aside from typing, of course. Aside from that, I also have diabetes. On the mental side of things, I have both anxiety and depression. And, on the developmental side, I have Inattentive Type ADHD, formerly known as ADD. So, as Knockout said up there, I’m disordered. Fun stuff, huh?

So...What’s it Like?

Well, as someone who’s usually really bad at descriptions as it is, I find it really hard to describe my experiences. Compared to able-bodied system hosts, there are so many differences. If I were to list them all out, we’d likely be here forever. Overall though, I think I can say it’s fairly boring.

For able-bodied system members, like me, and well...Everyone else here, it’s kinda unnerving whenever we front sometimes. Knowing what Shane’s body needs, and not being able to physically meet those needs can be upsetting. So, we usually just give him a mental poke when something’s off. Or, we’ll co-front until he does what he needs to. Like now! Most of us are up here, adding our two cents, or watching him work.

Literally everyone’s up here, and it’s making my brain fuzz out like an old, overused VHS tape.

So, you kinda know what my experience is like, but there’s another question to ask:

What Does Your Headspace Look Like?

Ah, the headspace. The place where you and your headmates/system mates go to hang out and do whatever the hell they do when they’re not busy. For some folks, the headspace either doesn’t exist, or they’re hyper specific and detailed to the Nth degree. For me, it’s somewhere in the middle; it’s there, it might be a tad specific, and it’s somewhat detailed.

Due to my tendency to hyperfixate on certain pieces of media, it tends to change from time to time. Most of the time, however, it stays in one form. If you’ve seen the movie Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, then you may be familiar with Miguel’s gargantuan base. The tower that’s several miles high, and hella expansive. Well, imagine that, but slightly different. And I mean slightly. The only key difference is that the corridors are painted different colors so that I can find my way around. (I get lost easily in a Walmart for fuck’s sake. Don’t @ me. Lol) The main space, where I tend to hang at, is Miguel’s lab. And yes: He has that raising platform you see in the movie. And yes: It’s as hilariously dramatic as depicted.

The base itself acts as a hub of sorts, where the others can come and go as they please.

So, How Does All of This Work?

Well, there isn’t really a set method to how we do things here. Usually, whoever’s free gets to look after me. It goes down the chain:

Is Knockout busy? Breakdown watches me. Is Breakdown busy? Then, Starscream watches me. Etc. Etc. on down the list.

Who’s the Most Active?

Sometimes, it’s hard to gauge who’s active on any given day; especially when I’m not feeling well. However, going off the short time we used Simply Plural, I’d say both Nanaki and Miguel are the most active. Nanaki’s always free, so he’s usually up front with me. Whereas Miguel briefly fronts to check in and make sure I’m okay. He sometimes sticks around if something triggers my fear response. His presence is very soothing for me.

Recently, the new guy’s been very active, so he’s definitely on par with Nanaki and Miguel already.

Do You Have A Relationship Beyond Systemhood?

Shane’s a little nervous about writing this bit, so I’m taking it from here. He has a relationship with me, Knockout, Breakdown, Starscream, and the new guy. The mechanics of it are complicated–too complicated to really go into here. What I can say is that it’s a very close relationship.
