I have SO many messages and asks and mentions right now that I need to catch up on but I just wanted to give an enormous huge thank-you to everyone who came out to my game night! No matter if you played the games, drew in the aggie, or just popped in for a sec to say hi, you guys really made my birthday a special one :)
I’d love to start doing aggie.io drawings more often with you guys, I need to practice digital drawing and messing around in there is always a highlight of my game nights. If I’m ever in the mood to draw, I’ll let you all know!
Happy Valentine’s Day, and stay tasty!
(Especially you, Feet-First Squad!!)

corpse husband... 👀 could I get a soft pastel aesthetic reader playing among us with the group and being absolutely terrible at it. maybe like she sees him kill someone and doesn’t say anything or report it and he follows her around to sorta protect her from the other imposter? at the end she asks why he didn’t kill her and he says it’d be too easy but ofc someone’s gonna make jokes and be like “no you’re just a simp” idk i think that’d be funny? you dont have to tho- no worries
⤹⋆⸙͎۪۫。author’s note: we love pastels and corpse in this house. we love the “i’m helping cuz u cute” trope. we love the public simping. gotta stan this request

There is a long list of things you’re terrible at, and Among Us is at the very top. But besides your lack of prowess at the game, it is perhaps luck you should curse, for what you have just witnessed will send you into the afterlife: Corpse’s little black astronaut murdering Rae in cold blood. You still by your keyboard; out of the corner of your eye, you see he chat going nuts. The stream just got ten times more interesting.
For a long few seconds neither of you move. You’re not exactly surprised Corpse is the Impostor, it’s just that you desperately did not want to get in his way - you’re bad enough at this game as it is, and trying outmaneuver the master at this game of chess? Impossible.
Shrugging, you glance at your camera, “I ain’t see nothing.” Before, in-game, you promptly turn on your heel and glide to the other side of the map. Corpse follows. You start sweating, “Noooo, I swear I’m not gonna snitch, please spare me, sir. I swear on my” You idly tap your cat headphones with your hand, “-only prized possession. And my plushie collection.” He’s still trailing after you, even when you hop into Navigation. Turning to the chat, you ask, “Guys, how do I telepathically convey to Corpse that I’m not going turn him in? No one tell him, though, that’s cheating.”
“girl, start manifesting” one comment reads.
“Oh, manifesting, okay. Saw that on TikTok. I also heard it’s like a big thing in LA.”
You’d imagine that if somehow you were actually transported to the cool chamber of a dying spaceship, cornered by a black figure with devil horns blocking your exit, you would probably start crying. But you’re safe in your little stream room, decorated in fairy-lights and soft colours and even softer blankets. That initial primal fear of having nowhere left to run lingers, though, and you gulp.
A meeting is called and you breathe out a heavy sigh of relief before unmuting your mic, the first to chime, “What happen--No! Rae! Who killed Rae, fess up now!”
“Well, maybe you killed Rae!” Sean exclaims, and even if you can’t see him, you instinctively know he’s pointing a finger at you.
“It wasn’t (Name).” Corpse says smoothly, “We’re together.” He backtracks quickly, laughing anxiously, “Uh--In game, I mean.”
The conversation rages on, though you’re forgotten, which is a small reprieve. Corpse is quick to frame someone else and everyone agrees to vote. Momentarily you can’t believe you’re betraying your fellow crewmates and wonder why you’re doing it exactly. To make an entertaining stream? That’s definitely part of it. Charlie is flung into lava and you know it should’ve been Corpse but you’re having a bit too much fun to care.
“nooooo!!!! they corrupted her!!!! our sweet baby is on the villain arc!!! RIP”
You hope not mentioning what you had seen transpire minutes prior will dissuade him from killing you - he still could, but he’s just standing by the door, watching your movements. You decide you will only figure it out once your back is turned to him, whilst doing your tasks. Apprehensively, you get to it and--
Nothing happens.
Once you’re finished, you run circles around him. He joins in soon. The olive branch had been accepted. You grin. Rush out of Nav and he, once again, follows after you.
The game continues like this, you doing tasks and he hoovering by your side like some little guardian devil. You almost forget that he’s the Impostor until he murders Sean right in front of you. You slap your hand over your mouth. Did Stockholm Syndrome kick in already? He self reports and his first words are, “(Name) and I found a body in Weapons.”
You aren’t sure how much your betrayal aided the Impostor victory, but you were the only survivor left between two serial-killers. Your chat spams celebration emoticons and fake-deep monologues about living in a society. While you were an unofficial Impostor, your audience single-handedly decides you were the best one.
It’s all laughter and apologies from your part to your slighted teammates, though even they have to admit it was a good game. Everyone agrees to play another round, but before it can start, you just have to know, “Hey, Corpse?”
“Yes, (Name)?”
“Why didn’t you kill me?”
“Oh,” He mutters, a small chuckle following after his words, “it would’ve been, uhh, too easy, I guess?”
“Lies.” Sean interrupts, “It’s because you’re a fucking SIMP!”
The discord call choruses “SIMP SIMP SIMP” in surprising harmony. You sit in your chair, giggling, smiling so brightly your cheeks start hurting.
“Guys, come on--” Corpse says, sounding like he’s smiling, like he’s got his face covered with his hands, like he’s embarrassed; he laughs - it’s a light, pretty sound, “I just wanted (Name) to have fun. And not be killed by Sykkuno.”
“Wait--” Sykkuno pipes up, “So you just...followed her around the map?”
“...Yeah.”
“Oh my God, you stupid simp!” Sean laughs, “(Name) was there when he killed me, I was so confused why she didn’t say anything because I figured she was the other Impostor, but turns out he just kidnapped her. Don’t worry, (Name), we don’t blame you for betraying the crew. You did what you had to do to survive.”
“It’s the her seeing Corpse kill me and pretending she’s blind for me.” Rae snickers.
“Wait a fucking minute,” Charlie says, “you mean to tell me, (Name), our little pastel princess fucking peach over there, saw Corpse slitting your throat and fucked right off, and then lied like a grade-a-politician during the meeting? Who killed Rae fess up my ass, you all are saying Corpse played us like a fucking fiddle but it was actually (Name) the whole time.” You hear a smile in his voice, and somehow feel a surge of pride, “(Name)--” He’s cut off by Sean trying to interject but quickly shushes him with a few choice words “Jesus fucking Christ, shut up, I’m trying to figure something out. (Name), did you or did you not use Corpse for protection?”
You’re giggling; you can’t control the sporadic giddiness mixed with light anxiousness, “I just...I just didn’t want to die!” You exclaim. More laughter.
“I rest my case, she’s a fucking wolf in sheep’s clothing, it’s always the nice one’s that stab you in the back for the fuck of it.”
“Guys,” Corpse says, “guys, guys, guys...Let’s play another round?”
“Yes”es are exchanged like trading cards. Before long, your screen lights up and you gape at the word IMPOSTOR written over you little astronaut standing right next to...Corpse.
You grin: if the last game was crazy, this one will be straight up insane.
.
hope you liked it! xx

Headcanon - When you suddenly hold his hand
Original title: 当你突然握住他的手
Original author: 池离子
[ VICTOR ]
You’re sitting on the sofa while Victor’s next to you, looking through documents.
Peering at Victor, you watch as he pores over the documents very seriously - so seriously that he doesn't even notice you staring at him. Carefully admiring him from head to toe, your eyes finally land on Victor’s hand.
His hand is much larger than yours. Looking at your own small and petite hands, you find them adorable and a perfect match for Victor’s well-defined hands. Reaching out, you place your hand atop the hand that he’s using to hold the documents.
He turns to glance at you, realising that you’re staring at his hand. In response, he swaps the documents to his other hand, freeing the hand that’s held by you.
“You’ve already had one pudding tonight. There isn’t a second one."
You swat his hand angrily.
"What? In your eyes, is everything I do linked to pudding?”
He’s taken aback slightly, but eventually returns his gaze to the document.
You spread his hand flat, then put your own hand on it. One big and one small - a good fit. You can feel the warmth of his palm. This hand held yours at the dance, held your waist in the ski resort, and wiped cream from the corner of your mouth. Thinking about it, you unfurl your hand before clutching Victor’s tightly.
Victor’s eyes never leave the document, but he returns your grip with equal force.
Your hand is delicate and small. His thumb strokes the back of your hand, and the ticklish sensation makes you stifle your laughter. Despite wanting to pull your hand away, he doesn't let you go. Instead, he tightens his grip, as though fearing that you’d pull your hand away from his.
"Don’t move.”
“In this lifetime... you can’t leave.”
-
[ GAVIN ]
Gavin is watching TV with you, the both of you huddled in a corner of the sofa, squished into a small ball. Your head is resting on his shoulder, and your hands are on your kneecaps. A faint light has been purposefully left on in the room to prevent it from being in complete darkness, and also to set the ambience.
Your gaze shifts from the boring advertisement to Gavin, and see that his hand is on his leg.
You’re suddenly struck with a mischievous idea.
You place your small and delicate hand on the back of Gavin’s. Noticing your action, he lowers his head slightly and asks if something’s wrong.
Ignoring him, you continue playing with his hand, feeling the rough callouses on it from years of wielding a gun. After giving them careful touches, you burrow your own hand underneath Gavin’s. With this, your hand makes direct contact with his leg.
Gavin doesn’t say a word. You can sense that he’s gradually tightening his grip on your hand. He’s exerting pressure, but is in control to ensure that he isn’t grasping your hand too tightly. He wraps your small hand in his large palm. His heartbeat seems to be following his palm, sending you a steady stream of signals.
Lifting your head to look at him, you find that his eyes are fixed on the TV, and his ears have turned crimson.
Using your free hand, you reach out to touch his ear. It’s terribly hot.
“Gavin, your ears are so red and warm...”
Gavin turns to face you.
“Cough. That’s because... you lighted the fire...”
-
[ LUCIEN ]
You’ve come to Lucien’s laboratory to pick him up from work. By this time, Lucien should have already hung up his white coat, and should be sitting on his office chair, grinning as you rush in with snacks you bought along the way. But today, when you rush in with the egg tart you purchased, the white lab coat is still on Lucien. He sits before the laptop, holding some documents while perusing through them.
"You’re here? Sorry, there was a little issue at work today. I'm currently looking for the cause of it. You might have to wait a while. I'll be done as soon as possible.”
You nod, placing the egg tart on his table. Shifting a chair over, you sit beside him.
Lucien always smells good, you think to yourself. There’s always a cool and fragrant scent on him, but you’ve never seen him spraying cologne. The flowers at home don’t have this scent either. Giving him a careful whiff, you can’t guess what it is.
You haven’t seen Lucien in an entire day! Right now, you really need a Lucien-recharge, so you stand up to move behind him. Wrapping your arms around his neck, you bury your face in his white coat, one hand hanging loosely in front of his chest. He isn’t too surprised, nor is he caught off guard. After all, you’ve used this trick many times, and he’s grown used to it.
Inhaling Lucien’s scent deeply, you find that he’s really nice to smell. Lucien seems to be tickled by your breath. He chuckles lightly while giving the arm in front of him a gentle pet. You grab his hand.
"Lulu... how much longer will you take?”
He grips your hand tightly, as though he’s giving you a response.
“Ten minutes. Just wait for a little longer. I’ll be done soon, okay?”
With this, he brings your hand to his lips, giving the back of your hand a gentle kiss.
This action flusters you so much that you want to find a hole to burrow into. Although you hurriedly attempt to withdraw your hand, Lucien’s stronger than you, and he clasps your hand tightly, giving it another firm kiss.
As though succumbing to fate, you slump against his neck, putting your arms around his neck.
Even though you can’t see your own expression, your face has already started to feel warm, and your ears are probably red to their tips as well.
"You must be feeling shy. Let me see...” After saying this, he turns his head.
“Don’t look!" You mumble, burying your face in the shoulder of his white coat.
-
[ KIRO ]
The two of you have just finished a game, and are slumped on two beanbags next to each other, surrounded by potato chips and soda. Kiro tosses the controller to the side, then leans against you coquettishly.
"Miss Chips is too good at playing! I can't beat her at all! I’m not playing anymore! It’s so embarrassing!”
You rub the golden head that has leaned over. His hair is so soft. For a moment, you even feel like you’re petting a large golden retriever.
You glance at the controller which has been thrown onto the carpet. Eyes shifting upwards, you see a pair of hands that you’re highly envious of.
He’s a celebrity, so of course it’s very important to have a pair of nice-looking hands. Kiro has taken off his ring. Originally, his hands are thin, long and pale, and the part where he often wears the ring is even more tender. You look at your own hands. As compared to Kiro’s, you probably aren’t even considered a female.
Brimming with jealousy, you slowly stroke the back of his hand. The delicateness of Kiro’s hand is just like yours.
"Miss Chips..."
You hear him calling you like this, but you have no intention of responding. You simply rely on your courage to continue. You put your hand in his palm and look at him, anticipating his next move.
Kiro is fascinated by the huge watery eyes you’re giving him, and immediately grabs your hand.
"I knew it... You’re just as hungry as I am, aren’t you? Let's find something to eat! There’s never enough snacks!”
"?"
He gets up quickly and grips your hand tightly, trying to pull you up too.
"What do you want to eat? I'll make it for you!"
You look up at him as he radiates with light, and release a chuckle.
"Okay, okay!”
Borrowing his strength, you stand up as well. The two of you walk to the kitchen while grinning and swinging each others’ hands like little children.
-
[ SHAW ]
It's too hot. Surviving the summer is going to be difficult.
The air conditioner at home is broken, and you’re still sweating despite wearing a blouse. Shaw steps out of the kitchen with a large glass of iced cola in his hand. Judging by the volume, it’s clear that he mixed Cola and Sprite again.
He sits next to you, gulping it down, and you watch as water vapour surrounds and the glass. it must have been chilled. You’re going crazy from the heat, so you unfurl your hand in front of him, indicating that he had better give you a sip of the iced cola.
Instead, this ignorant man put his hand on yours. Not only is there no cola to drink, but it’s also warm.
"Stinky Brother, I asked you to give me a sip, not your hand." You swat his hand away, moving forward to snatch the cola in his other hand.
"Hey hey hey Mary Sue, be careful. I mixed two soft drinks in this. Don't spill it on me..."
Shaw knows that you genuinely can’t stand the heat, so he doesn’t tease you this time. Instead, he obediently places the cup in the palm of your hand. The wall of the cup is icy cold, and it’s so comfortable that you want to stick your face against it.
You take a small sip, and the cooling sensation fills your mouth, and your mood becomes exponentially better. Filled with a sudden impulse, you reach out, grabbing Shaw’s hand tightly.
You expected Shaw to respond by returning your grip.
But Shaw is Shaw, and he’s always testing your patience.
"Oh? Auntie, you maintain your skin pretty well for someone who has reached middle-age... tsk tsk tsk.” He speaks, lifting your hand up and scrutinising it.
"You brat. I’m right here, so you better cleanse your mouth...”
With the cola in one hand, you try to retract the other.
Not caring that it’s warm, Shaw grasps your hand tightly, uttering a casual apology. On account of the cola, you decide not to hold a grudge against him.
"Mary Sue, save me some. Don't drink it all." Shaw leans over, and the only thing separating your faces is the glass.
“Also, let’s head out later. Your hand’s really empty... I need to get you some jewellery... Do you like rings?”

riddle rosehearts
You were drinking water on the go, you just got back from a mission that Crowley sent you on and you really wanted a break. Catch a break and probably rest on your now comfortable bed (Crowley finally invested money on you).
But you had a very important meeting with Riddle, and heavens know how scary it is to be late on a meeting with Riddle. So, you really rushed to go into the Mirror that leads to Heartslabyul.
However, accidents happen almost everywhere, chaos can reign even in the most peaceful of places. By that, you accidentally spilled a butt load of water on a Heartslabyul student, sadly, it wasn't the one you were very close with.
It was the same dude who you kind of aggravated by breaking a certain egg on the carbonara. He was scared to approach you at first, after all, you were with a certain ex-delinquent, and how you are a lover of a certain Red Tyrant. But now you're alone.
He cracked open his eyes, moving his fringe to reveal a stare that was terrifying to say the least. But as soon as he focused his vision on your form, his eyes widened with familiarity. He knows you too well.
At first, you tried to apologise, but he chuckled meanly, knowing you're all alone on this one.
The delinquent cracked his fists and smiled meanly to you, no words were spoken, but you can tell the longer you stayed— the beating of you would be brutal.
Tears sprang and soon you screamed, running in a random direction, trying to get away from the student. You were scared, that man looked like he was ready to bring hell.
Luckily for you, someone heard your scream, that someone is your beloved— Riddle. Riddle was absolutely on the edge when you didn't appear. About to scold you actually.
But he heard your scream, he knows your voice! He whipped his head over to the sound, but what happened was too fast.
You slipped behind him, holding his cape, crying and pleading that Riddle has to help you.
Riddle, being Riddle, was mad and instantly put his dorm head status to the test. By test, he stood upright, and his firm face on.
Riddle basically tried to assert dominance over the person, and it worked! The delinquent was no longer fuming, but he did have a scared face, he was about to run away again...
Until... "OFF WITH YOUR HEAD!" was shouted, and the delinquent struggled as he tripped, collar on his neck.
Said delinquent was forced to do more chores and a 3 page long apology addressed to yoj.

leona kingscholar
You planned a date with Leona, and he (somehow) agreed to it. However, prior to your date, you had a small small errand with Crowley.
It was just get a pale of water from the well, found in the Courtyard, you shrugged off the weird ask, money was bound to be their.
Despite the fact you were careful, you slipped and tumbled, causing you to spill the pale of water to the group of bullies that was just lounging on the courtyard.
That was the beginning of the chase.
For someone who lounges a lot, he was somehow on time on your date. Unlike his usual dates with you, he wanted to spice up and give a nice outdoor date.
Ruggie also bugged him to do it, just so he could avoid chores, but also gave him a good reason to. You might need air and some excitement!
However, you're ten minutes late, which is unusual. You planned the date, you ought to be early! But, something was wrong, he can feel it. He feels it in his gut. You could be in trouble!
Leona knows when you are in trouble, he memorized you already. So, he has theories on what may have happened to you, and all seemed not good outcomes.
And, he was right! As you came rushing into the scenic part of your date, disheveled and crying. A pack of bullies hot on your trail, a mocking smile gracing their lips.
Leona, whose partner was his jewel, was ready to defend and kill. You ran towards him, your heavy breathing from the running somewhat calmed down, as he put you behind him.
He bared his fangs, a growl escaping his throat, as he smugly stood proud and tall. He rose an eyebrow to the bullies, which they cowered in.
Leona banished them from both of your sight, and hugging you tightly, asking if they hurt you and why did they do such things.
He made sure some hyena was going to have a bunch of helpers for the chores!

azul ashengrotto
A bad contract case was common for Azul, he had a lot of experience with such bad mouthed people. He made sure you weren’t going to be affected with such bad people, especially he has such a strong love for you
Now, usually after a few words, they become really compliant, if they are a bad and tough nut to crack, Those were the times he sent in the Leech brothers, they deal with the tough customers.
Azul is always safe, he has contracts, the twins and you! However, that sense of security will tumble once a particular customer was being quite the fuss in the Mostro Lounge
That sense of security was broken down one day, when you came in, rushing with tears streaming on your sad face. Fear was evident in your eyes.
You ducked behind him, asking for protection that only he can provide, which made him scared as he knows he can't fight physically. Truth be told, he was scared as hell.
You see, you made rounds in Mostro Lounge a lot, usually carrying a drink to help with Azul's survey of customers. You checked on whether the customers are storming in or not. In summary, you analyze and people watch.
But one day, whilst drinking a glass of water, you tripped. A moment after your trio, the glass had been emptied and spilled on a very pissed off customer.
The said customer was mad at Azul, he didn't keep the deal, now he wanted revenge on such. When you tripped and spilled water on the (delinquent) customer, he had burst out laughing and started to threaten and make up ideas on how to hurt you
Thus, a wild chase of chaos ensue, many tried to help you— but you didn't want to involve innocent customers. So, you ran to Azul, knowing he probably has something to fix this.
The twins were gone too, so you were alone on this journey of chaos. Your aching feet ran through the dimly lit part of the lounge to meet Azul's office.
Now, bursting through the door of the office doors of Azul, you had a fear driven adrenaline as you rushed behind Azul.
The Twins were there too, Jade helping Azul sort out the contracts and Floyd listing names of potential bad contracts that won't pay up.
Your arrival was unexpected, and it didn't help how you were crying your eyes out to the trio. You babbled on about the delinquent, but the tears and heavy breathing was not helping you form a sentence that one can comprehend.
The delinquent burst in, and the trio was startled at that, but it made you scream and hold onto Azul tighter. The atmosphere felt tense, and everyone knew that something bad is going to happen.
"Jade, Floyd... You know, he seems familiar. Remember him?? Oh, and it seems he made quite a fuss to my angel fish.."

kalim al-asim
It was another party at Sacrabia, the festivities begin with a joy and rowdy crowds. This was the norm for most parts.
However, a bitter look was on one's face, a certain delinquent student from Savanaclaw. He was bitter as the is party happening, no one knew why. But no one dared to approach, after all... His scars and bruised knuckles were signs.
Now, the festivities were starting to get more and more hyped— lots starting to jump and rejoice in such ways that was so rowdy.
You, Kalim's darling, was just jumping and smiling as the party seems to be growing more. You lost track of Kalim a few minutes, he said he was going to get something special for both of you, so he slipped away from the party.
Drinks were serving like crazy, the party making everyone crave sweet or refreshing foods and drinks. That being said, you were now getting pushed by many and many students, causing your glass of water spilling on someone. The delinquent.
You tried to apologise, grabbing your napkin, but the student grunted and glared at you. Everyone kept partying, but some distanced themselves from you. You gulped and decided to run, abandoning your glass of water and trying to find Kalim or Jamil.
You saw Kalim walk down the stairs, and you pushed through the crowd, crying and pleading to get out of the damned way. Kalim saw you and was confused when you rushed behind him, bawling out your eyes.
He then cried too, feeling bad for your suffering, and crying when he realized a big scary guy as coming! Kalim hugged you and shakily promised that he loves you and will protect you.
Jamil was speeding through the crowd when he saw you running, and ran up to face you and Kalim crying your eyes out. He rose a brow, but then he saw the student. He was glaring accusingly at you.
Jamil sighed and decided to take matters in his own hands.

vil schoenheit
How dare someone make his precious darling cry and hide behind him and Rook? How dare a vile creature made you run and cry?
Now, how did all of this happen? You were enjoying a picnic and then a few moments later you were sobbing and crying for help to save you from a delinquent.
The story was simple, you and Vil were enjoying a nice brunch, when all of a sudden Vil had a call to make. It was odd, as usually the calls don't come at his brunch. Vil ignored it, but the persistent calls made him answer. He sighed, asking for forgiveness that an interruption had to be made.
He was gone for a few minutes, a lot of things were going on and it seemed to irritate Vil.
Apparently, the call was an impromptu meeting, and needed Vil's presence ASAP. It was a modelling shoot not too far, where Vil is needed to replace a sick model. And Vil was also the only one near enough, so they really needed Vil's presence.
You told him to go, which was a very hard time, but he allowed to leave you and pack up. He instructed you to not do anything rash while he was gone. Now, while you bid farewell to Vil, a man came up to you.
Delinquent by the looks of it, he had shaggy hair, preposterous clothing choices and a smirk that felt violating.
You tried to send him off, but he kept on persisting on taking you out. As if he wasn't smart enough to know you belonged to a certain blonde Pomefiore dorm leader.
It bugged you off that you threw a glass of water and ran to the Pomefiore dorm, crying as he threaten to kill you on the spot. Rook heard and saw this, and swooped in to rescue you!
Vil also arrived albeit late, but he saw you run up to him, crying and pleading the delinquent to go away.
"Rook, what is this lousy potato doing here? Oh? Hurting my potato, hm?"
"That won't do.. not at all. I'll leave the work to you, Rook. Do tell me what they have to say about this event."
After giving the troublemaker to Rook's hands, he led the way to the dorm; where he leads you to his room to do a makeover and spa day.
Its self care day!

idia shroud
He shouldn't have gone to the outside! Everything bad seems to happen when he steps out of his room!! Idia would not go out on many occasions, but you were a special case. A very special case.
Yet, he didn’t expect for you to cry behind him, with a big delinquent closing in on you with a very bad grin on their face. He trembled at the thought of having to face a bully!
You guys were supposed to be on a date by now, why of all days where you get in trouble its this!
How did it even come to this? Well, it was simple. You spilled a buttload of water on the delinquent when doing your weird Crowley assigned. He said to water a few bushes and clean some parts of the school.
You cleaned furiously, scrubbing the dirty moss walls, spraying a bunch of water with the help of Grim and a few ghosts.
The problem? A delinquent bad boy hangs out in a place where water was bound to be splashed, and then an angry chase began.
Idia tried to think of so many video game or anime moves that could intimidate the fast running delinquent. It was amusing, his constant mumbling and the constant sweat made things funnier. Tough, you need to run or distract him so you can avoid getting punched or become a bloody pulp.
"If I use the "LIGHT BEAM LASER" or the “SWEET DEATH!” it could work.. Oh but those muscles look like he has a lot of AP”
The sweet Ortho was also looking for you, he had a s=nice and sweet pep when you started to persuade his big brother more, this calls for a celebration!
While looking for both of you, he saw the delinquent running towards the area he saw you earlier. The worry bubbled inside Ortho, so he followed and he grew angry at the man who seemed to have every intention to hurt you!
Preparing a light beam, Ortho shouted “Stay away from Onii-chan!”, then a large beam hit the bully,
Tumblr media
malleus draconia
Malleus was strolling around the area of your dorm, just to visit you and update on his life, and new found treasure places you and him can visit, he made mental notes along the way. Whilst strolling, he saw you and when your eyes met, you ran and cried behind him.
Rage bubbled within the young prince, he always had taken good care of you-- making sure you can be comfortable with him, to see you crying and hiding cowering in fear behind him makes him feel of great sorrow and joy.
His rage took over again when he saw a large bully, clearly scowling at you, and Malleus couldn’t hide his rage. He had risen his green flames, with a frown on his face-- clearly upset at the bully.
Before Malleus can burn the bully, you stopped him, pleading him to spare him and that it wasn’t the bully’s fault. You spilled a water bottle on said bully, while rushing to see Grim and his troublemaking friends.
That explanation didn’t help, it spurred him even more to burn the ground and make sure the bully suffers in a bad way-- just for making you cry and making you uncomfortable. That itself was a punishable crime!
In the end, your crying didn’t stop Malleus to at least leave some burns on said bully.
‘It was only necessary to burn him, leaving a few burns, a few reminders that you are way more important than him. And you value so much to me.”

Pls could you do a Bad Ben x reader?
Why I Hate Bellwood
Pairing: (Bad) Ben Tennyson x Reader
Warnings: Sexual assault and harassment themes
Word Count: 2.1k
Summary: You don’t think there’s anything redeemable or good about Ben Tennyson until he saves you from a dangerous situation.
Tumblr media
You hated living in Bellwood. It was the worst place to be and you couldn’t even imagine how it was a functioning city. It was a town rampant with criminals and villains. In a place where the crime rate not only sky-rocketed each week but also where no one gave any damn to change it.
They even had their own super-powered thief. Of course.
Coincidentally, the town you hated the most also happened to be the place where you were transferred to. Maybe it was because your supervisor wanted to send the most capable and competent student there. Or maybe it was because you ran your mouth and chewed out her daughter (who had a severe case of princess syndrome).
You and your big mouth.
You had a small studio apartment that could barely fit a bed and that made you feel claustrophobic. Even though you wanted a bigger place, this was the only apartment you could find that was in your price range and in the safer parts of town. Relatively speaking.
Even though you made a conscious effort to stay out of trouble, it seemed to present itself to you on a silver platter. Or more accurately, a stolen silver platter. The trouble you were talking about was Ben Tennyson himself, the friendly neighbourhood criminal.
It was absurd to think that a boy your age could have his entire town at his mercy because of a fancy watch but it was true. He was terrifying, and more importantly, unstoppable. So, you tried your hardest to stay out of his sight, and out of his way.
Unfortunately, that seemed like it wouldn’t happen either. Not even a week after you had moved, you had found out that the crazy crime lord that you had been trying to avoid was living in the apartment next to yours. And not only were you neighbours, but you could see right into his room through the window.
Not like you tried. You had been too afraid to even open the window.
How could this be the safest place in town if this maniac was living right across from you?
Although when you asked the other women in the building, they had told you that was the whole point. Ben Tennyson was a ruthless maniac and known criminal. That’s why no sane person would come into a mile of his home.
All they had to do was avoid him like the plague and so would the other criminals.
And in the psychotic, irrational fashion that was accustomed to Bellwood, that actually made sense. And knowing that Ben was living right across from you was a sign of extreme comfort but also fear.
Would he kill you if you snored too loudly in the night? Or if you kept the lights on in the night and disturbed him?
The fear you had made you want to fall beneath his radar and go completely unnoticed by him. You would stay out of his sight and completely out of his life until you completed your work and could return home.
That had been the plan.
Until one day you had been returning from your classes a little later than usual. It was already dark out and there were fewer cars out on the roads. Walking through the streets alone made an eery feeling settle in your veins and you pumped your legs faster, breaking out into a run.
Just as the busy intersection came into your sights, somebody stepped in front of you and you stopped instinctively. Even though you shouldn’t have. It was a broad man, who had tattoos covering his arms up until his neck. He grinned widely at you, but it was a sick smile that made you gulp and back away.
You didn’t take your eyes off him, scared that he was going to make a sudden move. But just as you began backing away, you collided into someone and when you turned around, ice settled in your veins to see another man smirking at you.
You were immediately frozen in fear, breaths shortening in your chest when his hands came towards you. You wanted to run away from there. But they seemed to realize what your plan was.
They grabbed you, hands digging painfully into your arms and you yelped, resisting in their grip.
“Oh, now sweetheart, don’t fight, it’s not gonna be fun for you if you do.”
Tears started burning your eyes and panic burned through your chest, “Let—Let me go.”
They didn’t reply, only chuckling in response but their grip got tighter when you started thrashing. Your mind went blank, reducing to instincts and you began screaming as tears escaped your eyes.
The men’s faces hardened and they started dragging you with them, not fazed by your rapid kicking and squeezing your throat when you started screaming and crying again.
You had never been so scared in your entire life. They got closer to a dark alley and your breaths shortened, crying out and begging against the hand slapped over your mouth but they didn’t hear or they didn’t care.
Just as they pulled you into the shadows of the alley, there was a bright flash of light from its depths. Your eyes burned from the brightness but you still didn’t close them, scared that something would happen in the second you did.
Because you kept them peeled open, you were able to make out the silhouette of some creature before the light faded. It moved too quickly for your eyes to process, especially in your state of fear, but in a second, the pressure of the men pressed to your front and back had disappeared.
The figures were knocked over like small boys and you heard the sounds of their grunts. Even though you felt immense relief, you were still frozen. You didn’t even bother moving from your place when the creature came to stand in front of you.
“Who the fuck dares to mess with us.” One of them growled, standing up. You couldn’t see anything in the dark and you just chose to grip tightly onto the straps on your back, clenching your jaw tightly.
The bright light came back and you glanced up to see the figure get reduced to a boy. He held up his watch, it glowing in the night and you finally saw his face. He was glaring darkly at the men, lips turned in a frightening scowl.
“Who the fuck dares to mess with a defenceless woman.” He spat and they froze, realizing who they were talking to.
“Holy shit, it’s Ben Tennyson.”
He glared at them, seeing the way they were turned, probably about to make a break for it, “If you even think of running, I will hunt you down like the dogs you are.”
He then turned to you, holding up the watch to your face. You finally got a good look at his face, dark hair and deep green eyes. His face was innocent and charming, even though you knew he was rougher around the edges. Even then, he looked safe, like he’d protect you.
You, on the other hand, looked like a mess. Eyes red and tears streaming down your cheeks, your clothes were dishevelled and your hair because of the way they yanked it.
Ben’s jaw tightened, noting the way you were still sobbing quietly into your hand but when his eyes handed on the bruises around your neck, you saw the unadulterated rage that boiled over on his face.
He turned into another alien, pinning the two men against the wall by their necks. They choked, gasping for the breath that got knocked out of them but Ben didn’t care, his grip only got tighter when they started begging.
“You didn’t hear her when she was crying? You didn’t stop when she was in pain? Then why the fuck should I?” He spat and you felt mixed emotions. For a second, you were relieved and flattered he was sticking up for you. And then you were reminded of the way these men were overpowering you mere minutes before.
Even though you didn’t have a reason to be afraid now, the terror still returned and your knees buckled, sending you to the ground as a choked sob left your lips.
Ben glanced back at you, eyes softening just for a second before he turned back to the monsters that were left at his mercy. They cowered at his gaze and tried mangling out some pleas through the grip he had on their throats but he felt disgusted to even be touching them.
“If you even touch another woman like that in my town, I will rip your fingers off and feed them to you. The only reason I’m letting you go is so that you can spread the word to other lowlifes like you.” He spoke lowly, loosening his grip and they fell to the floor, nodding and apologizing.
They tried to come closer to you, to apologize but you cowered, backing away with a whimper and Ben growled at them before pointing at you, “Her especially. If I ever see you within 50 feet of her, I won’t be so kind.”
They nodded wordlessly before running away, tails tucked between their legs and only when the sound of their footsteps completely disappeared were you finally able to breath.
Ben gently knelt in front of you. He made no move to touch you, only watching as you lifted your head to meet his eyes and your chest cleared. You felt unbelievable relief looking at him.
Before you could control yourself, you started sobbing uncontrollably, launching yourself into his arms and throwing yours around his neck. He stiffened for a minute before relaxing, gently holding your body against his, knowing that you just needed to be comforted.
Eventually, your cries lulled down and you were left feeling exhausted, but he still didn’t let go.
“I thought you were supposed to be the bad guy?” You asked breathlessly and he smirked at you.
“I am, but I have some class. Touching someone against their consent is beneath me.” He said it with so much disgust in his voice that you believed him. You always thought he was just like them, a lowlife and mangy criminal, but looking at him now, he was much more honourable than you realized.
“Come on, I wanna get back home.”
Even though he was holding out his hand for you to take, you still couldn’t move from your place on the floor, staring up at him with wide eyes. You thought he was supposed to be a criminal. Why was he being so good to you?
“Ask me something.” He said suddenly and you flinched. Ben looked down at you and pursed his lips. He knew you needed to get your mind off whatever just happened.
“What?”
“I’m giving you permission to ask me something. Anything. You’re getting a really rare chance here.”
Of course, a million and one questions were going through your head. Why did he help you? Was he really a bad guy? Was he a misunderstood person? Like Robin Hood?
Even with so many thoughts rushing through your head, when you opened your mouth, the only thing that slipped out was, “Is it true you walk around in your apartment without your shirt?”
You had heard about it from the girl who lived in the apartment before you and had been too scared to look out the window to prove her right or wrong. You don’t know why you were so curious about it, just because you wondered whether he was comfortable enough to roam around without his shirt on or whether he really didn’t care.
Ben smirked at you, “Why? Interested in the view?”
Your face went red, “No, I just heard it from someone.”
“My hand is getting tired.”
You looked at his hand again, still held out for you to take. Gingerly, you slipped your palm into his and he held onto your hand firmly, pulling you to your feet. You were still tense, looking around suspiciously and huddling a little closer to him.
“Let’s go, no one’s gonna be stupid enough to come near you while I’m here.”
“I can trust you right?”
He sent you a smirk that made you uneasy and flustered at the same time, “At your own risk.”
Looking down at your intertwined hands, you figured you might just take it.

Don’t Look Back
Pairing: Kristanna
Rated: M
Word Count: 2,945/AO3
Summary: After their separation is prophesied by a strange woman, Kristoff goes on a quest to the underworld to save Anna.
Author’s Note: Hi everyone! This is my contribution for Kristanna Week Day 5 - Blue! I wasn’t originally going to write a spin on the Orpheus and Eurydice myth for this day, but the idea came to me last night and I just had to write it out. I also apologize if I messed up any of the mythology, it’s been nearly 10 years since I last read this story and I kind of adapted it to suit the needs of the fic. I’m not really crazy about it because it’s a little different than all of the other stuff I’ve written but what am I gonna do? I hope you enjoy it despite it's weirdness!! (Sorry for all the asterisks, tumblr is finnicky with language and tags) *Please note that this fic is rated M for light s*xual content and temporary character d*ath*
There were few things rarer in the world than true love, and Anna and Kristoff had been lucky enough to find it with each other. In the beginning, they hid their feelings, and for far too long, they danced around the possibility of being together. When they finally came together, what grew between them was beautiful and rare.
In no time at all, they were blissfully married, and spending nearly every waking moment together. On this particular day, they’d gone for a stroll in the park, as the weather was getting colder by the day, and soon being outside would become unbearable. They walked hand in hand, bundled up in their winter attire, and walked along a wooded path. For such a brisk day, there were plenty of people out and about - children and families, joggers, dog walkers. They chatted about their upcoming plans and current events as they walked, damp leaves crunching beneath their shoes. Just as they were getting ready to leave, a wiry grey-haired woman approached them.
“There is very bad energy here,” the old woman warned, eyes widened with fear. “You will not last together.”
“Excuse me?” Kristoff asked, wrapping a protective arm around Anna’s shoulders.
“You’ll be torn apart,” she hissed and waved her hands around manically, before wandering up to another unsuspecting group of people.
“What does she know?” Anna scoffed, rolling her eyes.
He wasn’t the superstitious type, but there was something about what the woman said that managed to rub him the wrong way. “That was...strange.”
She looked up at him, and frowned. “Are you actually worried?”
“No,” he lied, though it was useless - Anna was exceptional at reading his face.
“Nothing can tear us apart, my love,” she promised him, stroking his cheek with her soft, delicate fingers. “Nothing can come between us. Especially not a crazy old lady in a park.”
She’d said it with such confidence that he was able to temporarily brush off the overwhelming sense of doom that the old woman had managed to stir up in him. It wasn’t until they got home that evening that the anxiety returned. He normally kept a calm and level head, but losing Anna was his greatest fear and the sheer thought of it was enough to make his stomach turn. He was quiet throughout dinner as she blathered away and she didn’t bring up his unusual silence until they were lying on the couch.
“What’s wrong?”
“Nothing,” he sighed.
“Something is bothering you.”
“I don’t really want to talk about it.”
“You don’t have to,” she assured him. “But I’m all ears if you change your mind.”
“It’s not a big deal, I just need to relax.”
“How about a bath?” she suggested, squeezing his arm. “I can’t think of anything more relaxing than that.”
He smiled at the thought of it and just a little while later, they were submerged in a tub of warm water and bubbles, her bare back pressed up against his solid chest. He pressed kisses to her neck and her ear, caressing her breasts with one hand and slipping his other hand to tease the sensitive area between her legs all while she giggled and moaned from his touch. They moved from the tub to their bed after they pruned up, eager to please each other and put the stress of the day behind them. It was so easy for him to get lost in her bright blue eyes as she looked up at him with adoration, biting her lip and digging her nails into his back as he thrust into her.
Long after they were both satisfied, he cradled her in his arm and she rested her head on his shoulder, drawing lazy circles on his bare chest.
“I hope you feel better now,” she mumbled. “Because I know I do.”
“I do,” he confirmed, pressing a kiss to her hairline. “Taking a bath together was a great idea.”
“We should do it more often,” she smiled, looking up at him through her eyelashes. “You should get some sleep.”
He watched as her eyes fluttered closed and her body relaxed against his, and he sighed contently, closing his own eyes and drifting away.
He didn’t remember waking up the following morning, but the sunlight streaming in through their curtains had created a weird, hazy effect. Just as he had expected, she was still lying next to him, practically glowing in the morning light.
“I have to go,” she said suddenly.
“You should stay,” he whispered in her ear, wrapping his arms around her waist and pulling her close.
She managed to free herself from his grasp and turned to face him, dragging her hand from his face to his chest and pressing a soft kiss to his lips. “You know that I have to go, but I’ll be back soon and we can pick up from where we left off.”
After one last passionate kiss, she crawled out of bed and he propped himself up on his elbows, watching as she padded across the bedroom floor. She looked back to give him a flirtatious smile before closing the bathroom door. He didn’t even know where she had to go, but with a grin of his own, he flopped back onto the pillows and tossed his arm over his face, wondering how he’d gotten so lucky.
Until she didn’t come home.
Though their separation had been prophesied by the lady in the park, his heart was shattered and he was overcome with grief - god, the grief was unbearable. He’d lost his beautiful wife, the most important person in his life, the person he truly loved and who loved him back, unconditionally. He cried over her pale body for days, wishing that his tears would bring her back but knowing deep down that his sadness had no power in determining her fate.
But, he’d heard of someone who did have that kind of power - the god of the underworld, Hades, who had a penchant for collecting souls. If the mythology was true, then there had to be a way to find the underworld and convince Hades that Anna needed to be earthside with him. They belonged together, and there was no one - human or god - who could tell him otherwise.
He did as much research as he could, scouring books and maps, trying to figure out a way to get to the underworld - to get Anna back. He didn’t care how far he had to travel, or whether it was by land or by sea, but he had to get to her.
So he did, setting off on a long journey across the world before finally coming across the dark cave that had been described in every piece of literature he’d gotten his hands on. A discarded boat on the banks of the river attracted his attention, and he climbed in, picking up the ore in his hands and rowing towards the cave. As he rowed, the water beneath the boat changed from translucent and blue to an oily, black sludge.
When he finally descended into the dark cavern, he found that he was no longer rowing the boat, but that control of the water had been taken over by a force behind him. He turned around and there was a tall, gangly man standing at the back of the boat, guiding them through the rough waters. He could tell from first glance that the man was not human, but that was to be expected - he was going to the underworld, after all. He’d read about this particular man; a ferryman who escorted the souls of the d*ceased to the underworld, though he certainly wasn’t escorting the d*ad in this case.
The journey to the underworld was a long and dangerous one, and he knew they had reached a crucial area when a fog began to form across the sides of the cavern - souls. Everything that surrounded them was d*ad; shriveled leaves and withered trees shrouded in darkness. Finally, the boat collided with a dock and Kristoff turned around to find that the ferryman was gone. He took a deep breath before climbing out of the boat, more determined than ever to find Hades and bring his wife home.
Being surrounded by death created an unsettling, eerie feeling. Kristoff could feel the hairs on the back of his neck stand up as he wandered aimlessly through the darkness, surrounded by the foggy mist. Despite the fact that he was most definitely alone, he didn’t feel alone. He felt as if he were walking along a busy sidewalk in a major city, dodging tourists and workers, rushing to their destination.
Finally, he came upon a looming, black castle and he knew that he had made it to his own destination. With all of the determination that he could muster up, he marched toward it; through the gates, down the cobblestone path, and into the palace that belonged to the god of the underworld. Hades had a bride of his own, and together they sat in matching thrones at the end of the long hallway.
“You’re not welcome in the underworld, mortal,” Hades’ threatening voice boomed.
Kristoff was not going to take no for an answer; he hadn’t made it this far to give up. “I’m here for my wife and I refuse to leave without her.”
“You don’t get to make demands.”
“I need my wife,” he pleaded. “I can’t live without her. I won’t leave without her.”
The threatening creature moved to stand from his throne, but his wife held out her arm, which caused him to pause. She leaned toward him, her long, dark tresses moving in a fluid motion with her body. Her hand flexed over the distance between her mouth and his ear as she whispered to him. Kristoff gulped, unsure of what her actions meant, though he hoped it was an act of mercy.
When she finally pulled away, Hades mischievously narrowed his eyes. “How about we make a deal?”
“Anything,” Kristoff blurted desperately.
“You may have your wife back,” Hades offered, “But, you may not see her until you return to your realm. You will be guided by the ferryman and she'll be in your boat, and once you’ve reached the earthside, she’s yours. If you look back at her before you’ve reached the earthside, then she stays in the underworld permanently.”
“Deal,” he answered without hesitation.
When he blinked, he was back in the boat. He didn’t remember leaving the castle or walking back through the depths of the underworld. He was petrified to look anywhere but straight ahead, and when the boat started moving, he called out to her. “Anna, are you here?”
Miraculously, she responded. “Yes, honey, I’m here.”
Hearing her voice nearly caused him to combust - god, how he missed the sound of her voice. It was almost enough for him to lose control and turn around. “I need to see you.”
“Don’t turn around,” Anna begged. “If you look back at me, then I can’t come home with you. Don’t look back.”
“How can I trust that this isn’t a trick?” he cried. “I need to know that you’re here.”
“I’m here,” she promised. “Keep your eyes closed until it’s safe.”
“How will I know when it’s safe?”
“I’ll tell you. Don’t open them until I say so, okay? Promise me that you won’t open your eyes until I tell you to.”
“I promise,” he agreed, trembling from the stress. He closed his eyes, unsure of what he would do if he lost her yet again. The one thing he was certain of was that he couldn’t live without her. If he had to take drastic measures to ensure they would be together, then he would do so.
For a long time, the boat ride was quiet. In the short span of time that he’d spent in the underworld, he managed to forget how long and treacherous the journey there was. It was difficult to resist the temptation of turning around and checking to make sure that the god of death had made good on his promise, that the woman he loved was actually in the boat with him.
After what felt like an eternity, she spoke again. “We’re almost there, but don’t look back yet.”
“Okay,” he said, hardly able to hear her over the sound of his pounding heart.
Suddenly, a pair of arms came down around his neck, and soft lips were pressing a kiss to his cheek. He didn’t dare to open his eyes - he couldn’t risk it. If this was some kind of test or trick from the god of the underworld and he opened his eyes, she’d be gone for good.
“You can open your eyes,” she said, pressing her cheek against his. “We’re safe.”
“Are you sure?”
“We’re back on earth,” she assured him. “We’re here, together. I’m alive.”
“Are you sure?” he repeated, his voice strained. “Because if you’re not sure, we’re both going to end up back in the underworld.”
“Touch me,” she begged, freeing her grasp from his neck and bringing his arm up to her face. “It’s me. I’m real.”
Through his touch, he recognized her features; her perfectly smooth skin, the slope of her petite nose, and her plump, kissable lips. “It’s really you?”
“It’s me,” she confirmed with a sniffle. “You can look.”
He slowly blinked his eyes open and the first thing that he noticed was that the water beneath the boat had transformed from black sludge to clear and blue. Out of the corner of his eye, he could see strands of her brilliant red hair, and he heaved a sigh of relief; she was here. He hadn’t been tricked by Hades.
She climbed onto his lap and cupped his jaw with her hands before leaning her forehead against his. “You saved me.”
His arms reflexively wrapped around her waist, pulling her closer, and he momentarily forgot how to breathe; she was alive, and he was touching her, and god, she was even more gorgeous than he remembered. “Oh, Anna, I missed you.”
“I missed you, too,” she whimpered, tears cascading down her cheeks. “So much.”
He could feel a lump growing in his throat as he fought to hold back his own tears. “I’m never letting you out of my sight again.”
“Good,” she sobbed, burying her face in the crook of his neck. He placed a hand on the back of her head, and gently rubbed her back, the boat bobbing from side to side beneath them. When she finally looked up at him with reddened eyes and tear-stained cheeks, she asked, “Can we go home now?”
And then he awoke with a start - he was in their bedroom, unsure of if he had ever really left it. Was it really possible that he dreamt the entire thing? He wasn’t sure - it had felt so real.
Anna was leaning over him, brushing his hair out of his face. “What’s wrong?”
“You’re okay?”
“Of course I’m okay,” she laughed. “Why wouldn’t I be okay?”
He blinked rapidly as he looked around the room, and sure enough, they were still tangled up in their sheets like they had been when they fell asleep the night before. He could feel her body pushed up against him and he knew she was real, but he couldn’t shake the nightmare that had plagued him a few moments prior.  “I don’t know...I think I had a bad dream.”
“Do you want to talk about it?”
“You d*ed,” he answered shakily. “And I went to the underworld to save you.”
“Oh,” she said, furrowing her eyebrows together. “Did you?”
“I did.”
“That’s good,” she smiled. “You’re a hero.”
“It felt so real, though. It was so vivid, and colorful, and...real. I don’t even know where the entire underworld thing came from - I haven’t read anything related to mythology since I was in, like, high school.”
“Our dreams don’t always make sense,” she assured him. “Last night I dreamt that I was late to take a test, which is funny because I haven’t taken a test since I was in college.”
“It’s just...I don’t know what I’d do if I lost you, Anna, I really don’t.”
“Well, you don’t have to worry about that because I’m not going anywhere. And if I do die first, I’m going to come back and haunt you.”
“I wouldn’t expect anything less from you,” he chuckled. “I think that lady in the park yesterday really freaked me out.”
“Oh, you’re gonna get a kick out of this; there was an article about her in the local paper this morning - she got arrested for harassing people in the park. It’s not the first time she’s been arrested for it, either.”
“Really?”
“Oh, yeah, I can even show you the article.” She moved to grab her phone, but he placed his hand over her arm, stopping her.
“It’s okay, I believe you,” he said in a low voice, diverting his eyes away from her.
“It’s really bothering you, huh?”
“A little,” he confessed with a sigh. “It’s such a scary thought.”
“I promise, I’m not going anywhere.” She smiled coyly before sliding her leg over his waist and pushing herself on top of him, so they were lying chest to chest. “Even if you change your mind and decide that you want to get rid of me.”
He reached up and tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear. “I definitely don’t want to do that.”
Her lips ghosted against his as she whispered, “Then we have nothing to worry about.”

_________
Days after
And, so Elena kissed her daughter goodbye and flew away to New York for a long weekend of elaborate parties surrounding Caroline and Klaus' wedding.
Straight from the airport, she was taken to the Bachelorette party and so the fun began. And it was a girly extravaganza. Everyone knew that Caroline's parties were to be remembered for centuries if not millenia.
The next morning, Elena woke up with a big hangover. A song still banging in her head from the night before. She realized she was in Caroline and Klaus’ new house, but at that moment all she wanted to have a shower and check her messages and coffee. A double mokkachino
As she got ready and made sure all was fine with her daughter, she ventured down to find the kitchen. She could hear someone shuffling some papers and as she got in the kitchen, she stood still as if she got trapped in some strange vacuum space.
"Elijah?!"- she let out in a half breath.
"Elena! Hello there!"- he said giving her a little smile.
Elena stood like someone had completely taken her whole being from this plane and entered it somewhere in a hazy dream world, and yet it was a reality that kicked her like the ice storm. And if she was to come back a 1000 times and it would always be the same.
"Hello"- she uttered with a mental gulp.
__
"Morning, love!"- Klaus said to a very groggy Caroline, who had just opened her eyes, still not clear if this was reality or dream.
"Mornin’"- she uttered faintly rubbing her eyes. Then as if stung by bee she sat up all in panic.
"OMG!!"- she said getting up looking for her robe.
"What's up?"- Klaus looked at her aaonished with her sudden frantic behaviour.
"What's up??!!"- Caroline looked at herself in the mirror- her make up was smudged and her hair all fuzzy. She rushed to the bathroom to take it off, she clued Klaus in on why she had gone slightly mad-
"I totally forgot that Elijah had come to stay with us last night!"
“Yes - so?”-Klaus looked at Caroline gone out.
"Ok, ahm- well, it's Elena"- Caroline now told Klaus why she was so flustered about Elena meeting Elijah and why she went to Toronto and that all these years she had to keep the lid on everything concerning Elijah as if he never existed.
"She had it that bad??"- Klaus was surprised.
"Sometimes people fall for the unavailable guy and they try to shake it, but it just won't go away"- Caroline said.
"I know that you are terribly romantic and I love you for it, but- I think you are blowing it out of proportion!"
Klaus now took his bride to be by the waist pulling her towards her, kissing her.
*
Meanwhile in the kitchen
Caroline was right about the impact Elijah would have upon Elena. Seeing him so unexpectedly hit her like an avalanche and her hello was accompanied with a problem in her air supply as if something got stuck in her throat.
She went straight to the counter and finding a glass in the cupboard, she poured herself some water from a water dispenser.
"Are you all right?"- Elijah inquired.
"Yeah, fine"- Elena reassured him after she took a few sips -"just dehydrated- one cocktail too many-it was Caroline's last night of freedom, you know- we let loose-"
"It must have been a really good night!"- Elijah said-"sit down, I will make fresh coffee and scrambled eggs?"
"Yeah, ahm-you don't have to.Coffee is more than enough!"- Elena said.
There he was, being this great guy, considerate, sweet, and the heart she had switched off, screamed at her reason to let it beat again. No. Stop it, Elena. But, I can't. You have to, Elena. Loving him has given you nothing but heartache, remember.
"Here you are"- he served her the espresso and a toasted bagel.
"Thanks"- Elena said-”Ok - ahm - so you are - here - early- though it’s none of my business.”
“Oh, I sold the loft. And haven’t found anything yet. Had to move out, and Klaus and Caroline offered to stay with them- till I buy something.”- Elijah explained as he sat down.
“Right. I am sorry - for having asked -”- Elena bit herself for asking why he was there.
"So, how is Toronto? You just left and forgot that we existed! If it wasn't for Caroline we wouldn't know anything about you?! So, you had a daughter, I hear!?"
Caroline kept him informed-Elena thought. And he cared to keep up with all surrounding her.
"I did"- Elena replied-" she is one and a half"
"Still can't picture you as a mom, I thought that career was everything for you!"
"Not everything"- Elena now said as she took a sip of the coffee.
"Sorry, I just-you were so dedicated to work and having accepted to head Maxwell's legal team. I didn't mean to say that-I put my foot in it!"-Elijah was apologetic.
"Hey- it's fine. I still love my work a lot, and am juggling both. Enzo is a great dad -and we have a nanny, too."
"So, Enzo - I was wondering who would sweep you off of your feet after all"- Elijah said.
As he said that, Elena felt as if there was no oxygen for a moment yet again.
"Enzo and I -we were just together with like no strings and then I got pregnant. He is a great guy, but- that's it."- Elena explained- "Ah,I am sorry, Elijah- I heard about Hayley- ahm- we used to be bffs -but- it just- there is no excuse- I should have called to tell you when Caroline told me - I am sorry."
"Yeah- ahm- thank you."- Elijah said. He moved the plate. And awkwardness descended between them.
Elijah felt that Elena was holding back and he didn't remember her as such. And his instinct told him that it was the talk of loss and grief that would make people become silent, so he changed the subject asking her about Jen and if she had a photo of her.
"Yes- of course- like thousands. Here."- she now opened the gallery icon on her phone and loads of photos of her daughter sprung up.
Caroline and Klaus appeared in a bit and joined in the conversation, gushing over the photos of Jen and then talked kids. Caroline saying she wanted at least three. Klaus was all wide-eyed. They then all teased him. As they finished breakfast, both Caroline and Elena went to get dressed as Caroline said that they still had tones to do till her wedding day on Monday.
In an hour or so, they were out. And as soon as they got out of the house and Caroline now was apologizing for the fact that she hadn't mentioned that Elijah would also be staying at the house.
"I should have warned you, but- it was just crazy the last few days, plus you banned me to talk about him, remember!?"'
"It's fine"- Elena said.
"Seriously, it's fine???!!! You are kidding me, right??!!"- Caroline now ripped into Elena not believing what she was hearing- " It didn't kill you seeing him????"
"Kill? Caroline?!!"
"Right- wrong choice of words! Hey, but you are breathing!! So, you're fine?!? No stomach butterlies? No heart bleeding??"-Caroline continued digging.
Elena stopped, looked at the sky, taking a breath and then looked at Caroline- and Caroline concluded for her friend-
"You are not over him!!"
Elena sighed -"Huh- what is this!? I wish I could cut my heart out and then it would be done or get hypnotized to hate him!!"
"It doesn't work that way!!"- Caroline said.
"Right! This weekend is about your wedding! And that's all we are going to focus on!!"-Elena said decisively.
"Elena, you're shutting down again!"-Caroline nearly screamed at her.
"I hope they still have those yummy doughnuts with caramel topping!"-Elena said and now carried on walking. Her phone rang and it was Bonnie, who was already waiting for them in their favourite café.
Caroline was fuming inside because of Elena's resolve, but there was nothing she could do at the moment. They had always respected each other's wishes, even though they were not in agreement with it at times.
And the weekend carried on with the grand Mikaelson family dinner with other of their friends and collegues. Elena and Elijah acted as friends, as they always had done when she still tworked for the Mikaelson's. It was Caroline who now started plotting with Bonnie how to break Elena's defences. She was happy and she felt the need to make two people she cared about be happy too.
___
That evening
"Here is to you surviving the Mikaelson dinner- do you know that this now makes you family?!"- Elijah said to Elena handing her a glass of champagne.
"Really? How?"- she took the glass off of him.
"You are the Maid of honour!"- Elijah said.
"I didn't know this makes us family?!"- Elena chuckled a bit. Inside she was burning with thousand knots making her stomach churn. She wanted to escape and not move away from him ever - all this was playing like a mad tug of war in her heart.
She didn't want to get drunk, as she knew she could not trust herself with him. She put the glass away after a tiny sip.
"So, can I see your speech?"- Elijah said.
"My speech? Isn't that your responsibility?"- Elena shot at him.
"Yeah, and I am stuck with it- I wish he asked Kol to be his best man- all this just brings memories"-
"Your wedding- you must miss her, especially on occasions like this"- Elena then said.
"No.- Elijah said somewhat in a cold manner which came across a tad bit unusual. Elijah sipped the champagne down and then put a strange sour smile on.
Instinctively, Elena put her hand on his arm as if she understood the raging mix of emotions that were underneath the pleasant self-assured exterior.
He looked at her and the look streamed unrest but a dear familiarity saying that she knows the way he feels and that she was there for him.
and then Elena's phone rang and she pulled her hand away now looking at the display-
"Enzo-"- she said- "I have to take this"- and she walked away so she could talk.
Elijah stood looking at her as she walked out onto the balcony. Rebekah was not far seeing the moment Elena and Elijah shared.
"Flirting with the maid of honour- I saw you- don't deny it- "- Rebekah teased.
"Who is denying it"- Elijah said back at his sister.
"Oh! Really?”- Rebekah smiled-”Good for you.”
“We have always been- friends. She never really saw me as - you know. She was always into bad boys with motor bikes and leather jackets. I am not her type.”
“Oh, please. If we put you in a white T-shirt, jeans, and leather jacket - she would not know what hit her.”
Elijah now smiled at his sister- “What is this? Since when do you play match-maker?”
“Since I saw the way you looked at her”- Rebekah said-”You are so into her.”
“Don’t do anything. I warn you.”- Elijah said to his sister as he knew what she was like.
“Oh, come on, Elijah. Caroline said that she is available.”
“And lives in Canada.”- Elijah now said-”and - I just don’t know - just let it be, all right?”
“Ah, all right.”- Rebekah puffed away, and as Stefan Salvatore now stopped dancing with Lexi Branson, the blonde Mikaelson now trailed off to grab him for the next dance.
Elijah sipped away his Champagne and now went to the balcony, finding Elena having finished her conversation.
“Everything all right?”
“Yes. They lost Mrs Cuddles in the park and Jen was playing up, not wanting to fall asleep without it.”- Elena replied.
“That’s a major crisis.”- Elijah said.
“It so is.”
“I hope there is a good substitute.”- Elijah now asked,
“Enzo went to buy the same teddy, but, unfortunately, nothing can beat the Original -”
“So, that’s it? Is there anything that console her?”
“I am afraid not.”- Elena said-”but - life does that and - she will have to somehow get over it.”
“You are harsh.”
“No. Just realistic.”- Elena said-”There is one remedy. Enzo will play her favourite lullaby on his guitar till she falls asleep.”
“He plays a guitar - “- Elijah now said taking another glass of Champagne from the waiter that just by.
“You played a piano once - at the Christmas party?”- Elena now remembered.
“Yeah, I did. You remember that?”
“Yes. You were good.”
“I don’t know. Must have had too much Bourbon.”- Elijah said.
And as they walked now slowly back in, a woman now came rushing towards Elijah, and taking hold of his hand.
“Sorry, but - we need you to referee this.”
And she dragged him now away, leaving Elena behind. She could see him shrugging his shoulders as - sorry, but Elena waved it off as ok. Being joined now by Bonnie and Damon, she tuned to them.
“I am tired.”- Elena now said and asked them if they would drive her back to Caroline’s house.
********
A few days after
Elena put her headphones on as the plane took off. She closed her eyes and only one picture kept repeating in her head.
Flashback
"Dance?" - Elijah asked Elena after Klaus and Caroline finished with their wedding dance.
She accepted hand and they walked out to the dance floor.
"Everything all right?"- he asked.
"Yes. Why?"- Elena gulped a bit as she felt his hand sit on her back making her tremble a bit.
"It feels like you are miles away- is little Jen all right?"
"She is fine."- Elena replied -" just-" she now looked at him and stopped moving away from him- "feel sick- Sorry-" and walked away from him.
He was stunened for just a milisecond and then walked after her into the garden.
Elena rubbed her forehead a bit. Why could she not keep her emotions at check, she was mad at herself. The heart, she thought was ice, thawed the moment she saw him standing in the kitchen greeting her warmly. Him calling her name now brought her back from her thoughts. He gently touched her arm saying - "Shall I get a medic?"-
Elena turned around - "No,no- I am better- I don't know what happened- just felt faint- probably cos I hardly ate anything today"- she invented.
"Oh, we will soon remedy that. Let me get you a plate full of canapes at least for starters"- he said and disappeared.
Elena wanted to disappear herself. Bonnie had noticed them walking away and now came to Elena asking her what had happened. Elena reassured Bonnie that nothing major was happening and that she should not worry and go back to the party and as Elijah returned with a plate of food, Bonnie left them as it was clear that those two needed time to themselves and that they had to deal with emotions jumbled up. Caroline often said that Bonnie had witchy powers as she could see things noone could.
Elena took some of the food and seemed to relax a bit.
"Thank you so much"- she said-"but, seriously, you don't have to stay with me."
"You are the maid of honour -it's my duty to look after you"- he joked.
"Oh, really?"
"Caroline said so, and -"
"Caroline?!"- Elena interrupted him.
"She is the bride and you do as she says-it's her day"- Elijah continued-
"What else did she say?"- Elena said slightly peeved off.
"Nothing much-"- Elijah said casually, but Elena knew now that Caroline must have added something more.
Elena stood up declaring she was perfectly fine again and that they should return to their  maid of honor and best man duty. Elijah followed her back to the party and she carried on being the exemplary maid of honour concentrating solely on that. As they saw the happy married couple leave for their honeymoon, Elena was ready to go as well.
"Right, ahm"- she turned to Elijah-"I am heading off- just wanted to tell you that it was great seeing you again."
"The pleasure was mine"- he said cheerfully-"I hope you will not continue being a stranger-"
"No"- Elena slipped.
"You owe me a dance!"- he continued.
"I guess I do"- Elena replied-"well, see you"
And then they both with yet again enveloped with awkwardness stood like enchanted in the moment and by the power of some strange force they neared one another. But both stood like frozen.
Elena now stepped back - “Ahm - bye”
“Bye”- Elijah slipped and Elena turned and walked out into the night as if midnight struck and she had to float away like one of the fairy-tale characters.
Elijah was left gazing in the night. His heart bumping a beat like it did the night they nearly kissed so many years ago.
On the plane back to Toronto, Elena played all the scenes of their meetings together. Her heart was in bigger turmoil than before. "Elijah-" she whispered to herself-"damn you!"

Chris Evans Imagine
Requested: Anonymous
Imagine: can you write a chris evans imagine where your in a captain america movie with him. and so you have to do all kinds of stunts and stuff like that. and your the villian in the movie and he's the superhero. and then you shoot one scene where it's you two and the person shows how you two fight eachother. and so you two start to fight and you have to pretend to hit him but he actually punches you and you get hurt and he freaks out because he punched you. and your injury was like, super serious. thx!
A/N: it’s long ;3
Warning: None
Tumblr media
‘’And.. Cut!’’ the director yelled, pressing the buzzer button.
You let out a relieved sigh as the scene ended. It was the hardest scene for you because you had to do your own stunts. And you were afraid you were going to break something because of the danger of the stunt in that scene. But now that it was shot and over with, you were glad.
‘’Everybody! Take five!’’ the director called out, taking his headphones off.
You lightly jog off the set, completely sore from the stunts. You went over to the snack table as your stomach growled for some food. You saw that there was one more doughnut on the table, and it was your favorite kind! You raced over there and reached for it, but a hand beat you to it. You could already tell who’s it was, it was your co-star’s hand, Chris Evans.
‘’Whoops. Looks like I got it.’’ chris smiles.
‘’Evans. You know how much I love those kinds of doughnuts.’’ you whine, stomping your foot.
Chris ignored your whining and started bringing the doughnut towards his mouth. He took a gigantic bite out of it, some crumbs falling from his mouth as he chewed. You groaned in disgust and he chewed with his mouth open.
‘’You’re disgusting Evans. You know that right?’’ you say, trying to hold back your barf.
Chris swallowed making that noise you absolutely hated. He looked at you and smiled, sprinkles spread out all over his teeth. You smiled and gave him a playful shove. He was adorable. Although he was your enemy in the movie, he was one of your best friends in real life.
Chris was about to speak to you but he got called over by Anthony. He said goodbye to you and jogged to where Anthony was. You watched as he jogged, he looked like a very attractive swimsuit model. You pick up a cup of ice cold water and start to bring it towards your mouth.
‘’You’re crushing on Evans eh?’’
You nearly jumped out of your skin when he spoke to you. His voice pretty much came out of nowhere which made you even more scared. You soon realized it was Sebastian. You take a big breath, regaining your composure.
‘’You scared the crap out of me.’’ you sigh, before your lips touched the cup.
‘’You never responded.’’ sebastian says.
You gulped your water and glared at him in annoyance. Sebastian was always on your case. He never really left you alone because he wanted you to admit you liked Chris. But you never were going to admit it to him because you knew he’d go off and blabber the news to everybody on set. For now, you just rolled your eyes and ignored Sebastian and took another drink of water.
‘’Okay! Breaks over! Let’s get back to the set! Go go go!’’ the director called out.
You put down your cup of water and rub your wet hand onto your costume, drying it up. You walk back to the set and stood in front of the camera. Chris soon came sprinting on set after you.
‘’Alrighty, this scene is going to just include Y/N and Chris. Everybody else can take a break until further notice,’’ the director says, shooing everybody else off the set.
You watched as everyone went off. The extras stared at you as they left the set. You waved at them, making them smile because they loved you. After a while, the set was empty. The only people left on the set were you and Chris, and the director. Chris received his shield and the director directed you on where to stand and what to do.
‘’This is going to be your fighting scene. Now, Steve over here is going to be fighting you because you have something that he wants. But you won’t give it to him because you’re the villain. Okay.. So,’’ the director stepped back and observed you two.
After about a minute or two of thinking, his face lightened up with a smile. He finally figured out what to do. As he went on what to do, he walked you two through the actions. At the end of the scene, Chris had to punch you to send you to the ground. You and Chris nodded as he asked you if you knew what to do.
‘’Okay, let’s try this. You know the lines?’’ he asks, pointing at you two.
‘’Got em up here. Locked and loaded.’’ you and chris say in unison.
You look over at Chris and giggle. You two always said that whenever he asked you if you two knew the lines. The director nods and backs away from you two. He snaps for the lights to darken and for the special effect people to do their magic. You breathed slowly and started to get into character. But you soon got interrupted by Chris’s voice.
‘’I apologize if I hurt you.’’ chris says, cracking his knuckles.
‘’I know you won’t Evans.’’ you grin.
You repeated your motions and finally got into character. The director counted down from five and on one, he held his finger up, calling action. The fake lightning blasted from behind you. Chris stared at you intensely, his shield being held up as you threw your hands at him, sending fake fireballs at him. Mostly everything you did was your imagination, you had to imagine about everything that was happening.
You soon got into the fighting part, you dodged the fighting that the director instructed on dodging. It was going perfectly so far. As you threw a punch at Chris, he ducked and you missed. He popped right back up and jabbed a punch right at your face.
CRAACKKK
‘’OH MY– Y/N!’’ chris screeched, throwing his hands over his mouth in surprise.
You fell to the ground, catching yourself with your free hand. As for your other hand, it was holding your nose that was throbbing with pain. You heard a crack, and you knew what it was. You could feel what it was. It was your nose. Chris broke your nose.
‘’CUT! CUT!!’’ the director screamed, jumping out of his chair.
The director sprinted onto the set, but Chris was already there kneeling down beside you. Your head was spinning, it was making you so dizzy. Your  heart was pounding hard in your chest, the sound echoed throughout your head. You couldn’t focus on the voices that were talking around you. Everything sounded faint, as if they weren’t even right beside you.
You could see the blood pouring out of your nose onto the ground. It hurt like hell, but you were also in shock. You couldn’t believe that Chris would actually punch you! You could hear more and more people crowding around you. The only voices you could hear were Chris’s, the director’s and Sebastian’s.
‘’Help her up! Help her up!’’ the director yelled.
You suddenly feel two arms go underneath your arms. They pull you up, and you struggled to stay balanced on your feet. You fell one way, but there were people to catch you. You suddenly get lifted off the ground and you were now getting carried by two people. You looked up and saw Chris was holding you up by the arms.
His face was completely red and he had tears streaming down his face. You groaned in pain as they carried you to a room, it wasn’t a smooth ride. They gently place you on the bed and you just laid there, wondering what was happening. The dizziness finally caught up to you and you closed your eyes, sending yourself to drift into pure blackness.
***
You blinked yourself awake and looked to the side, seeing Chris staring at you. His face was sad and depressed but as soon as he saw you looking at him, his face lit up with a smile.
‘’Are you okay Y/N? I can’t believe that I punched you. I really didn’t mean to.’’ chris choked, a sob coming on it’s way.
‘’It’s fine Chris. No biggie.’’ you say, shaking your head.
‘’No Y/N! I feel absolutely terrible! I don’t even know if I can–’’
‘’Evans. You’re freaking out over something that isn’t that big of a deal. I’ll heal. Don’t worry.’’ you say, reaching for his hand.
Chris held your hand and smiled, you suddenly get interrupted with a shot of pain running through your nose. You yipe and pull your hand away from Chris, making him gasp. You didn’t even acknowledge your broken nose. You asked for a mirror and Chris handed you one. As you lifted it up to your face, your reflection showed you with a bandaged up nose.
You sighed and lowered the mirror, making eye contact with Chris once again. But this time, he was in full tears.
‘’Chris.. Don’t start crying.. It really is okay.’’ you say.
‘’I.. I just–’’ chris wipes his eyes and exhales deeply.
‘’I love you Y/N. And seeing you like this.. Breaks my heart. Mostly because I’m the reason.’’ chris sniffles.
‘’I love you too.’’ you smile.
‘’No! Not like a friendly kind of love! I mean like a.. Tender, affection, kind of love. Like, I want to kiss you kind of love.’’ chris says, finally calming back down.
‘’Well, that kiss isn’t going to happen for a while.’’ you joke, making chris laugh.
‘’Even when you’re in pain, you’re still adorable.’’ chris smirks.
‘’Chris.. I love you too, and I mean like a kiss kind of love. I have ever since I’ve got booked this part. I didn’t know how I got so lucky to be your co-star. But I’m just glad I did. You’re such a blessing in my life.’’ you smile.
‘’Y/N. You’re the blessing. I don’t know if my life would be the same without you. But I know for sure that my life is perfect because you’re in it. And please, promise me,’’ chris holds your hands again.
‘’You’ll stay with me and never leave me?’’ chris asks, blushing.
‘’I promise Chris. I love you so much.’’ you blush.
‘’I love you so much Y/N.’’ chris smiles.
The rest of the cast came racing in after you and Chris sparked up a conversation. You all started to talk with each other, announcing to everybody that you and Chris loved each other. Sebastian went crazy, he was so happy you two finally got together.
‘’About time! I’ve been shipping you two for so long.’’ scarlett scoffs, rolling her eyes.
‘’So.. What are we going to do about you Y/N? Should we postpone the movie or what?’’ the director asks.
‘’It’s your movie. What do you want to do.’’ you ask.
‘’Well, you’re the one who has the broken nose.’’ he chuckles.
‘’Fine. You want my opinion? I want to continue the movie. I know that my nose is broken, but that won’t stop me from acting,’’ you say.
‘’Mostly if I get to act with Chris.’’ you smile, looking over at him.
‘’Okay. Well, let’s give it a day or two to heal up. Chris, you keep her company. Mainly because you broke it.’’ the director called out.
Chris nodded and laughed. The director pats him on the back and winks at you. He than starts going for the exit, but before he left, he paused and turned towards Chris.
‘’And Chris.. Don’t be punching anymore girls, alright?’’ he smiles.
You all burst into laughter. You loved Chris and you loved your cast. You loved your life mostly. You were lucky enough to be Chris’s co-star. And even luckier to be loved by him.

Ignored Your Blog for Months? 13 Tips for Getting It Back on Track
Come on, fess up!
You’ve done the unthinkable. You’ve let your beloved blog wither in the shadows of neglect.
Once a thriving haven of ideas and wisdom for your adoring readers, your blog is now just a wasteland of stale posts.
You’re bugged by the numbing guilt that you’ve let yourself down, and even worse, that you’ve let your readers down.
Will they even give a crap when they see your name pop into their flooded inboxes again? They’ve probably moved on. They’ve probably replaced you with someone they can count on.
Before you throw in the towel of defeat, know this — it’s not too late to fight for your blogging dream and claw back the attention of your readers.
But don’t just charge back into the arena frantically waving a flag.
Remember, it’s not who leaps in with chaotic enthusiasm who wins; it’s who plays the game with grit and strategy.
You Need to Get Your Head Back In the Game
Now’s the time to dive deep into your mind and clear the roadblocks that are waiting to trip you.
Maybe you regret letting your blog slip? Maybe you think it’s too late to save your blog? Maybe you fear that you’ve squandered any goodwill your readers had, and that they’ll never trust you again?
Make peace with the reason for your break. It could be as simple as a new baby, a new job, or a new relationship keeping you distracted. Or it could be deeper. Whatever the reason, revisit the passion that fueled you during your blogging honeymoon days and use it to add power to your comeback.
And stop inspecting the collateral damage of your neglected blog — plummeting traffic figures, zero social engagement, and the once steady stream of subscribers that’s now as dry as a river in a drought.
Focusing on the past sucks every ounce of energy you need to change your future. So throw aside any doubts, fears, and worries and look forward.
Concentrate on what needs to be done to make up for losses and get your blog humming again.
But you can’t just dive right back in. You need a plan.
13 Revival Tips That Will Restore Your Blog to Its Former Glory
I know you’re pumped to start blogging again, but you can’t just leap at your keyboard like an overzealous puppy.
Think about it — maybe your readers have moved on. Maybe they’re ticked off that you’ve left them hanging. Maybe they’re just not that into you anymore (gulp).
If you simply dive back in with blind faith and hope that your readers are still eagerly waiting for you, you’re setting yourself up for disappointment.
The strongest move is to map out your revival plan before your first play. I’m talking the whole kit and kaboodle — email sequence, blog posts, fancy relaunch ideas — all with the life or death seriousness of a Super Bowl final.
Remember, any game plan that’s worth its salt is cram-packed with tactics that cover all the bases.
Here are 13 tips to build into your plan to stack the odds in your favor.
Tip #1. Suck It Up and Apologize
Like yesterday’s news, you’re no longer at the top of your readers’ minds. You could leap about in your underpants while they’re blindfolded for all the attention they’ll give you when you email them again.
You must begin by re-engaging your neglected list. You need to win back their attention, trust, and respect. And the first step is to send them an email that says:
“I owe you an apology … ”
You need to tell your subscribers you’re sorry for letting them down and explain what has kept you away. And whatever you do, don’t fall into the trap of making excuses to cover your butt, even if your reasons seem trivial or selfish.
Own your absence with raw honesty and a heartfelt apology, and watch your vulnerability draw them back to you like a magnet.
Tip #2. Prove That You’ll Put Their Needs First
The next step to healing your relationship with your readers is to make them feel like you have their backs — that you’re listening to their specific issues and that you’ll do your best to help them.
Send them a survey with one meaningful and open-ended question. But don’t call it a survey. Ask them to tell you about their situation or to offer their opinion, and they’ll be more willing to play ball.
You can then use their answers to tailor your next few blog posts to their specific wants and needs, guaranteeing that you’ll win back their affection.
You can even go one step further by rolling up your sleeves and jumping on the phone with them. They’ll be stunned into adoration by the personal connection in our cold, digital world.
And these readers will turn into your biggest fans, opening every email and sharing your posts with their friends.
Tip #3. Win Back Their Affection With a Shiny New Gift
Now that your readers are paying attention, you’re ready for your next re-engagement play — the freebie.
Think of it like a relationship — you’ve rekindled the spark of attraction and you’ve shown you care by listening to their needs. So next, you win back their affection with a gift.
And make sure you tell them it’s free. The word “free” will set your readers’ pulses racing as it releases a flood of happy chemicals through their bodies that are impossible to ignore.
You could design a new report, cheat sheet, or checklist, but if you’re looking for a gift that packs a punch, try joining the online quiz craze. Tap into your readers’ innate curiosity to find out what type they are, how much they score, or which category they fall into.
You’ll restore trust and respect by demonstrating you’re on-trend with your content and grow your shrinking list at the same time, as quizzes are often shared like crazy.
Tip #4. Show Them a Crystal Ball
Let’s assume your readers totally dig you again. Even if you’re back on their radar, what’s to stop them getting distracted next time you contact them?
They could miss your email as they dizzy themselves scrolling past all the clutter in their inboxes. Or they could be sidelined by the unpredictability of life.
But there’s a way you can set a honey pot for their attention so they don’t drift away before you’ve become a sought-after fixture in their life again …
You can prime their minds to be on the lookout for everything you send.
Create an email that shows them the future and tells them what they can expect in the coming weeks. Drill down into the topics you’ve mapped out in your relaunch plan, and target the pains and desires they’ve shared with you in their survey responses.
Your email open rates will soar as they instantly recognize your email as familiar content that they’re waiting for. And they’ll like you more as you demonstrate you’ve listened to them.
Tip #5. Be Bold and Boost Your Open Rate
The first few emails in your re-engagement plan are the keys that unlock your readers’ attention and draw them back to you. You need to get as many eyeballs on them as you can.
But if statistics are anything to go by, you probably won’t connect with up to 70% of your readers every time you email them.
Don’t leave it to chance. Be bold and resend the emails to unopens after 48 hours, sporting a new headline. The apology, the survey and the gift emails should be hot on top of your resend list.
Every one of those emails puts you back on your readers’ mental radar, boosting your chances of them opening your email next time.
You can also do this once you start sending them posts again.
Speaking of which …
Tip #6. Remind Them Why They Loved You So Much
You’re back in the saddle and now you’re picking up pace, but the journey is just beginning.
Remember, you’ve let your readers down, so you need to win back their trust. You need to remind them why they loved you so much in the first place.
The last thing you want to do is hit them with a bunch of fluff pieces or generic, rehashed content that leaves them feeling disappointed.
Your revival campaign should include at least three posts — let’s call ’em revival posts — that go above and beyond.
Write an ultimate guide that details every single step of an intricate process, create an epic manifesto that gets your readers’ blood pumping, or collect a huge number of insider secrets from influencers in your niche.
Your revival posts must be so jam-packed with value that they blow your readers’ minds and hook them to your blog again.
Tip #7. Name-Drop to Be Noticed
To run a successful revival campaign, you need to do more than just re-engage your list. You also need to make up for readers who chose to unsubscribe despite your valiant attempts to win back their hearts. Plus, you need to reconnect with other bloggers in your niche who think your blog is pushing up daisies.
You can hit three birds with one stone by making one of your revival posts an expert roundup.
You provide massive value to your readers, you let other bloggers know your blog is back in action, and since you give them an irresistible reason to share it, you’ll get a surge in traffic.
So gather multiple expert opinions together into a meaty post bulging with value and name-drop like mad. Send it to your list and to the experts who’ve participated, and triple-whammy the effect.
Tip #8. Make Yourself Impossible to Ignore
Imagine you’re taking a stroll through your neighborhood. You notice a big poster on a wall, but you pay it little attention. A block later, you see it again. And then again. This poster is plastered all throughout your neighborhood.
How many times do you think you’d have to see it before you stop and see what all the fuss is about?
The more you come across something, the more likely it is you’ll get curious enough to check it out. And your readers are the same way, so here’s what you do …
Write several guest posts for popular blogs and, if they’re accepted, tell the bloggers the posts are for a revival campaign. Ask if they could be published on the same date (give or take).
Chances are, your target audience frequents a number of blogs in your niche. Readers can be fickle creatures, and some may click through on the first post of yours they see while others won’t. But when they see you on the second, third and even the fourth blog they visit —  well, now you’ve piqued their interest!
There’s no way they can ignore you when you’re everywhere.
Tip #9. Harness The Power of Social
Let’s face it — not everyone reads blogs yet. But there are millions of potential readers actively lapping up everything they see on Facebook. And ads are a hot way to reach these readers.
Sure, back in the dark ages of social media, only the technically minded would dare run a Facebook ad campaign. But Zuckerberg, being the smart cookie he is, realized he was making it too damn hard for us.
You don’t need to sit back and wait to be noticed any longer. You can take your posts to these hungry new readers — or send them a landing page offering them a bribe to subscribe — by running ad campaigns with minimal pain or risk.
Here’s a tip — don’t just use a scattergun approach, select the audience you’re going to target by interest and demographic. You can even set small daily limits, so you don’t spend the day panicking that you’re draining your life savings.
You’ll rebuild that crumbling list in no time.
Tip #10. Give Your Blog a Face Lift
Beauty turns heads. It sets our hearts fluttering, and our brains read that feeling as a positive sign.
Before you invest hours into writing guest posts and dollars into running Facebook ads, ask yourself this — does your blog still look okay?
Perhaps your fonts, headers, and buttons now resemble last year’s uncool fashions. Or maybe the design still holds up, but your outdated theme is snail-slow to load.
If your blog design is a mess, you might give your blog a makeover before you start your re-engagement campaign. After all, your readers aren’t really expecting to hear from you right now, so it’s the perfect opportunity to invest some time in it.
Not only will your new design make a better impression on the new visitors you’re getting from your guest posts and Facebook ads, but it also sends your existing readers a signal that you’re serious about being back.
Be sure to add your face lift announcement to your relaunch strategy in one of your re-engagement emails.
Tip #11. Switch Your Hobby Hat for a Business Hat
Have you ever had a grand plan to do something, felt an immense surge of motivation, and then slipped back to your old ways?
It’s the sticky trap of old habits. And they’re lurking nearby, ready to thwart your plans of a blog revival the split second you lose focus.
By treating your blog as a hobby, you’re weakening your defenses against the same old mistakes you’ve made in the past. You need to get serious to keep up momentum.
Let’s face it — blogs take a painstaking number of hours of behind-the-scenes grunt work to stay well oiled. And to stand out from the crazy millions of mediocre blogs out there, you need to keep your foot on the pedal.
To stand out from the crazy millions of mediocre blogs, you need to keep your foot on the pedal. (Tweet This)
Flitting in and out of your blog with whimsical notions of creativity and abundance ain’t gonna cut it. Shift your mindset from hobby to business by blocking time aside to work on it, creating to-do lists, and planning your content strategy. Your results will speak for themselves.
Tip #12. Jump on the Weekly Roundup Bandwagon
You’ve executed all the big moves in your comeback strategy, and now your energy is waning. Keeping up momentum can become a struggle as you get overwhelmed by producing weekly content.
It’s daunting — you see all the big players sending steady streams of amazing posts to their readers, and it strangles your confidence. “How can I maintain a regular schedule of riveting content?” you wonder.
Easy! There’s a growing trend in weekly roundup emails for a good reason — your readers are suffering from content overload.
So make their life a little easier, and they’ll love you for it. Become a trusted source of the latest and greatest content in your niche by offering a weekly roundup email straight to their inboxes.
It’s also a cunning energy-preserving tactic that allows you play the long game.
Tip #13. Safeguard Yourself from Slipping Again
As with any long game, you need to replenish your resources to succeed.
But being a blogger can be lonely. It can be hard to feel inspired when your coffee buddies are your keyboard and monitor and your office manager is your pooch.
Build a safety net to prevent yourself from slipping back into your old ways by surrounding yourself with people who inspire you, support you, and keep you accountable.
Feed your mind by joining online communities pumping with engaged members who stimulate your thoughts and generate intelligent discussion on topics in your niche. They’re the perfect place to find accountability partners or to jump into mastermind groups that will keep you in the right mental groove.
Restoring your energy and passion will spark inspiration for longer, deeper posts and allow your blog to evolve with your audience well into the future. And having people in your corner will ensure you keep your momentum from here on out.
Ready to Get Back in the Game?
The churn in your gut as you think about your neglected blog makes you nauseous.
Following the path of least resistance and turning your back on it would be so damn easy. Nobody would even notice as you slipped silently into the recesses of binary code.
There’s one person who’d notice, though — you — and it would gnaw at your soul.
You can do this. Really, you can.
With a healthy dose of preparation, you’re sure to pull together a winning comeback strategy.
With a bit of resourcefulness, you’ll have months of content at your fingertips.
With hard work, strategy, and grit, you’ll win back your reader’s hearts, and your blog will be hustling and bustling once again.
So go on — get your head in the game, construct your plan, apologize and stage a comeback that you can once again hang your blogging dreams upon.
Your pride is counting on you.
Your readers are counting on you.
