Kaz Brekker x Fem!Reader Description: Kaz and reader are in an established realtionship and when they think they succeeded in the Heist, something goes wrong. Genre: Angst/Fluff Word count: 1,8k

To Kaz, loving her was like drowning. His head would spin, his palms would sweat under his leather gloves, he would be confused. But it also felt like a first mouthful of air after he broke the surface. His heart would skip a beat and he would let out a first, shaky gasp of relief that he finally was able to get out from under the water. She didn’t make it easy to love her, her own traumas, her own nightmares and demons that couldn’t let her rest, her own vengefulness and personal vendetta against the world. But Kaz couldn’t and didn’t resist when he realized what all of those weaknesses meant. He was taken aback when he realized that he had a heart to give her. And she was happy to nurture and keep it safe. 

When the Crows got the job to do they knew they might not come out alive from this. All seven of them were aware of the fact that death might be lurking behind the corner. So when Inej got injured y/n felt death on her shoulder, creeping closer and closer, making itself known in her every thought. 

“Saints, Inej,” y/n exclaimed when she noticed that the Suli girl finally opened her dark eyes. Her brown face looked worn out and the remains of her blood could still be seen on her pants. Y/n delicately helped her friend up and propped her tensed body up the wall. The ship was swaying, the light bulbs weren’t giving much light, but she could see how Inej was grimacing when she moved her limbs. “You scared us all.”

“I scared myself,” Suli replied, touching her thigh. She hissed when her finger made contact with a scratch. Nina was a decent healer but even her powers were limited. “Are we safe?”

“As safe as we can be with this lunatic,” y/n smirked, leaning against the wall beside her friend. She tried to make a light out of the situation, but it was hard when she had been helping Nina bring colors to Inej’s face. She didn’t think she had taken a full breath in since Inej got attacked. “Somehow he figured we would be ambushed.” 

“One would think he’d done it himself just to prove his point,” 

“It’s Kaz, I think he himself doesn’t entirely know what is in his own head,” 

“I reckon you would know best, y/n,” Inej smirked in her direction, her eyes glowing when she noticed how y/n’s cheeks grew redder. The girl rolled her eyes and got up. 

“I will go fetch Nina, she’ll be thrilled you’re awake,” y/n smiled at Inej, taking her in once more to make sure she could be left alone. 

“Coward,” Suli sing-songed. 

“Stay still and do not go anywhere, you unbearable creature,”

“You and I will have this talk one day, I hope you know,”

“Dear Ghezen, have mercy,” after this she left and went to look for the Heartrender. She found Nina walking around the dock, Jesper keeping her company. They looked anxious and Nina’s palms were slightly shaking. 

“Y/n!” Jesper exclaimed, “Is Inej okay?”

“She woke up, actually,” the girl said, sitting on one of the wooden steps. “I think you should take a look at her wound, it opened up a bit.”

“Yes! Yes, of course,” Nina shot to her feet, running to the room where Inej was sitting. 

“Is Kaz okay?” y/n asked the Zemeni boy, his eyes were locked on the newest addition to the Crows. Wylan, on the other hand, was fidgeting. The boy couldn’t sit still and he was looking guilty, as if he had betrayed himself. Y/n wasn’t surprised regarding his upbringing. She hoped he would get used to it, being disappointed with himself that is. 

“Go and ask him yourself, he nearly threw me overboard when I asked if he wanted to change his shirt, I’m not risking anything,” 

Y/n nodded and made her way to the bow, where the Dirtyhands was standing. He looked lost in his mind, his hand clenched on the railing. His hair was disheveled and the wind didn’t seem to be helping with that. Not like he paid any mind to it, anyway. 

“How are you holding on? I heard you were the one that carried Inej onto the ship,” she started, trying to come as close to him as she could, but still give him his space. “She’s alive thanks to you, Kaz.”

“I know,” he remarked. Y/n breathed a laugh, of course, she didn’t expect no other answer. “But I can still feel the wetness of her blood,” he started, his breath heavy and voice no louder than the sound of the wind. “I really tried not to drop her.”

“But you didn’t, Kaz, she’s alive and what’s most important she’s okay,” she smiled at him, she put her own palm on the railing, so that he could feel her closeness, but not close enough to overwhelm him. 

After this night everything was left to the fortune. Inej prayed to her Saints everynight, Jesper worshiped his revolvers, Matthias was brooding and making faces whenever one of them so much as mentioned their destination, which was often enough that y/n was afraid that his face would stay in that way, Nina sang some old, Ravkan songs, Wylan and Kaz were going through the maps all over again and y/n couldn’t shake off the feeling of certain energy creeping from behind the corner. 

So when they somehow succeeded in their plan, after many, many close encounters with death, she was relieved to feel every bone, every muscle, every hair on her body. She was sore from head to toes and for the majority of the journey to Ketterdam she was sleeping. She felt like she was on fire. 

However, when they eventually docked to the Fifth Harbor and were ready to receive their payment everything went to shit. 

“The deal is the deal, Van Eck,” Kaz said, the first signs of the storm were in the air. Y/n shivered looking around her friends’ faces. Everyone seemed confused, including her, and tired. 

“Not much of a deal if no one besides us knows about it,” the merchant’s voice was filled with pride, his face full of arrogance. “I didn’t know you were so naive, Mister Brekker. Fortunately, none of you leaves the island alive, so no one will hold me accountable.”

“You’re wrong,” Jesper countered, his hands ready to take out his guns. 

“Am I?” Two things happened at the same time, the ship behind them, the same one that they’d arrived on, blew up and Van Eck’s people started shooting. The force of the explosion was so big that y/n couldn’t keep her balance. She fell on her palms and knees feeling the hard concrete underneath her. She looked around her making sure that everyone was okay. Her eyes stopped at the silhouette of Kaz and Van Eck. She tried to warn Kaz, but to no avail. Y/n felt a pair of arms lifting her up, Jesper’s scent hit her nostrils. She got up as quickly as she could with his help and she found a box to hide behind. 

“Jesper, cover me,” she whispered, the Zemeni looked at her, perplexed.  

“Always,”

Whatever she wanted to do, it was stupid. Probably the most stupid thing she had ever done. She left her shelter and tried to get closer to the place where Kaz was still having a conversation with the merchant. She carefully went along the dock’s line so as not to fall into the canal. She kept the pistol hidden to prevent the guards from shooting. She creeped closer and closer and she could hear their words as clear as the storm over her head was allowing, still minding how close to the canal she was. 

“You have too many weaknesses, Brekker. She for instance is one of them,” Van Eck motioned to his man. “Take care of her.”

Then the hell broke loose. Y/n didn’t know where she was supposed to look, everything happened so abruptly. Both her and the guard lifted their guns, aiming. Y/n fired but even with Jesper’s help, her shot wasn’t good or quick. She felt the knifr hitting her and hot, white, flashing pain radiated in her shoulder. Tears shot to her eyes but she didn’t let herself scream. She swayed on her legs, then a second knife hit her. She fell and kept falling. She hit the water. 

She realized that the feeling of death she had experienced was inevitable. She was meant to die on this trip and once she had managed to escape its arms, but this time it looked her straight into the eyes. She tried to swim back to the surface, however her arms felt as if they were made from the lead. On top of that she was losing too much blood, too quickly. She prayed even though she wasn’t religious. Eventually, after what felt like hours, she closed her eyes, expecting death soon.

Unexpectedly, she felt two arms pulling her out of her slumber, she opened her eyes noticing Kaz. Kaz, who almost drowned himself. Kaz, who dove right after her. Y/n let herself smile at the thought that he cared so much for a person who might die in a few minutes. They hit the surface, taking big gulps of air. Kaz screamed at Jesper to help him, but y/n understood only every other word. Jesper and Matthias helped Kaz to put y/n on the dock and then helped him get out of the water. Kaz took off his gloves and his heavy coat. He put the latter over his girl’s body and he let her lean against his own body. 

“Nina,” he barked, “I need you to take out those blades.”

“She lost too much blood, Kaz,”

“She will heal herself, pull them out,” he hissed, trying to bring y/n around. She was pale, but her lips still had their pinkish color. “Don’t die on me, y/n.”

“Matthias, give me a cloth, until she’s conscious she won’t be able to do anything with her power,” Nina ordered, kneeling beside y/n. “We need to stop the bleeding.”

When the Grisha pulled out the first knife, the wounded girl hissed through her teeth. “Do not move,” Kaz said, his voice calm, but everyone could hear a hint of relief. “You’ve lost so much blood.” 

“You jumped after me,” she whispered, her words only loud enough for him to hear. “Kaz–,”

“Shh, love,” his eyes softened, but he didn’t dare to touch her. “I couldn’t have lost you the same way I’ve lost him.” 

Y/n gasped, touching his palm. 

“I didn’t know Kaz had feelings,” Nina commented, getting up. “We need to patch y/n up and then we can take our revenge, so you’d better heal fast.”

Goodbye Mother

A vietnamese movie about a young man, Van, who visits his family for the first time after being abroad for nine years. He doesn't come alone, but brings his boyfriend Ian with him. Van waits for the best moment to come out to his family and present Ian as his partner. It is more of a family drama than the typical bl, but it is such a good movie. The grandmother is the heart and soul of it all. It provides everything, happiness, sadness, anger, pain, love...just a perfect movie. It is still available on GagaOOLala, but on the list to leave soon.

A Tale Of Thousand Stars

One of my feel-good-series. EarthMix is one of my favorite pairing and they went crazy with all the staring and pining. The story of Tian and Phupha who meet at a village in the forest where Tian works as a volunteer teacher and Phupha is the local Chief Forest Officer. We whitness how two people get to know each other, understand each other and develop feelings for each other. It is a romantic fairytale dealing with important and serious issues and I love it! Moonlight Chicken

Speaking of EarthMix...Moonlight Chicken is my newest favorite and one of the easiest decisions for picking as a favorite. It is a short series, but it tells so many stories in a perfect way. No character comes too short, no realtionship is undeveloped. It is such a perfect series. EarthMix are killing it, but GeminiFourth stole the show. Their depiction of a this first love between a deaf young man and an angry young man was just so beautiful. Both had their dreams and both felt unheard and unseen from the outside (especially the parents and guardians) and they developed such a pure and beautiful bond. I could go on and on about the beauty of this show. Perfect and free to watch on Youtube.

My School President

And another GeminiFourth project. I am so in love with this show. It is something personal. The story about a first love and such a healthy love and Tin, our school president is one walking green flag. The show helped me on a very personal level to understand parts of my own history and choices and I am forever grateful and will keep this in my heart. And besides that it is such a comfort watch. Every conflict is dealt with before the episodes end and there is no drama, just love and respect. I love it! It is also free on Youtube.

Triage

This is something else. We have time loops and some supernatural stuff happening while the main character tries to rescue this young man who is as it turns out the love of his life. And when it looks like it finally can work out, destiny or in this case a higher entity, plays a little bit with time and fucks everyting up again. It is really interesting and tense and there are twists and it is just amazing!

The Untamed

Does this count as a bl? It is not the typical bl, more a censored adaptation of same-sex original work from China. Nevertheless you can see the love and affection between Lan Zhan and Wei Ying. This is a masterpiece. When I tell people about it, who don't watch asian dramas, I always tell them it is better than Game of Thrones for me, so they can put it in relation. This show wrecked me. I cried like never before. And I can't put into words what this series made me feel. It is on Viki and WeTV.

180 Degree Longitude Passes Through Us

Speaking of non typical bls stuff. 180 degree is such a good series. It is difficult to watch, because it feels really raw at parts and it deals with so much stuff, like homophobia, grief, internal homophobia, trauma, loss, love different kinds of relationship, growing up and stagnation, resignation. And the cinematography, uuuhhh! Such a beautiful series and in everything you see on screen you can intepret something in it. As a person who studied language and the comparison between novels and their adaptations, this was heaven for my intepretation loving heart. You can watch it on GagaOOLala.

A First Love Story

Strongberry at its best. It is korean and a short film in two parts and perfect. It tells the story of two best friends who have feelings for each other, but one of them enlisted and has to go to the military soon. We meet them again after some time and get a very intimate view on a very short part of their lifes. The acting is good, the story is good, the chemistry is good. You can watch it on Youtube or soon it will be on GagaOOLala again.

Be Loved in House: I Do

My comfort watch. This is nothing special. It is just a workplace romance, but it feels so cozy and I love the story. It makes me feel all the butterflies and happiness in my stomach and I love this shit! The company gets a new boss, who is very strict, has a bunch of rules and forbids his co-workers to date, because love can be a distraction and because of his own personal trauma. Can his stone-cold heart be warmed-up again? Oh the cuddles are everything for me! It is on Viki.

History 2: Crossing the line

I like most of the HIStory shows, but tis one I like the most. I do love the secondary couple of HIStory 3: Make our days count and HIStory 4: Close to you (I know...don't judge me), but as a whole series I really like this one the most. Perhaps because it is something different with the whole Volleyball thing or because I think the main couple is just so sweet. I don't know, I like to rewatch it from time to time. Bad Buddy

My first asian bl ever. I am so happy I could start with this one. I love the story of Pat and Pran. Enemies to lovers is something else and they did a really good job. And their love was so vulnerable and sweet. Even though Pat always tried to be the strong kind of macho man, he was soft and sweet with Pran and it was so cute to watch. And the iconic rooftop scene! What a scene! It is free on Youtube.

Long Time No See

Another movie. I don't want to spoil anything. This has assasins and mafia and love and romance and sweetness and blood and fighting. It is not the typical bl stuff, it is more mature, but a really good action movie in my eyes. I liked the drama and the action scenes. As it is leaving GagaOOLala soon, I just rewatched it and it is still good!

Semantic Error

I don't know how many times I rewatched this one. The enemies to lovers story that just melts my heart. I am reading the manhwa and this is so explicit! The series is so tuned down from the original. Nevertheless I love the story of how SangWoo made his way into JaeYoungs heart and melted our all hearts on the way. This one is on Viki.

Old Fashion Cupcake

The story of the 29 years old Togawa who tries to show 39 years old Nozue how beautiful life can be. And what better way to show him than to eat the most delicious sweets ever. I am always hungry and craving for sweets after watching this. This series gives hope. You are never too old to start enjoying life and to allow yourself to love again, even if the person is ten years younger. And another one you can watch on Viki.

Love Mechanics

I guess this is here because of YinWar. I mean, their chemistry is through the roof! The story itself...well...cheating and pain and War is crying quite often. But it is still good and I can't stop rewatching it. Yes the story is hurtful and a little bit stupid, but VeeMark are adorable when they are happy and in love. It can be watched on WeTV.

DNA Says Love You

We all love some slow burn, right? I mean, this one is very much slow burning, but with a reason and it is a really interesting story behind all that. It is a complex story with some really good staring and pining and hurt and comfort. You have to watch carefully to understand everything, but it is worth it and the wait while our hearts burn away through the slow burn is worth it too.

Gaya Sa Pelikula (Like in the movies)

This one is...it is cute. I don't know what else to say. It is not the best production, but the story is good and the actors are doing a good job. Karl needs to live on his own because a family tradition says it is a good idea to show early on how to survive alone in this world. So he moves into his uncle's apartment where he meets his neighbour Vlad and because of some reasons the end up living together. I love the soundtrack and their whole story. It is free on Youtube.

Once Again

My favorite bl series of 2022. It tells the story of Shin Jae Woo who deals with childhood trauma and because of some supernatural stuff happening, he jumps back in time to the year he was almost the victime of a crime, but Kang Ji Hoon helped him back then. JaeWoo wants to rescue JiHoon from this path. I was crying through most of the second half of this series. It is just so good. Painful and hurtful. Just watch is you can deal with sad stuff. Everytime I need a good cry, I come back here and it always works its magic. It si on Viki and GagaOOLala.

We best love: No. 1 for you

The true enemies to lovers story. The slow burn and the slow realisation is just so perfect. I feel with Gao Shi De through this whole story. I love to rewtach it and see things I haven't before. And the second season is good as well! Not as good as the first one for me, but still really good. You can watch it on WeTV.

Secret Crush On You

If you manage to get past the first episode full of cringe and you learn things about the characters, you see that these are all of us. The characters are not flawless, they make us cringe, because it feels too real. You can't act normal when you are living your secret crush. And you feel uncomfortable if you don't fit the norms. It is so beautiful to see that there are people out there who love you for who you are. And who isn't afraid to tell the world about it. This series makes my heart feel all the beautiful feelings. It is a little gem out there. And you can watch it for free on youtube.

it's star trek update time!! last night* we watched tng's "gambit part i" and ds9's "invasive procedures." *earlier tonight but i am typing this at stupid o clock and letting it post itself tmrw.

gambit part i (tng):

had high hopes for this one initially. i love it when they put on civilian clothes, for starters, and also we got a little riker e worf e deanna before we ALSO got e beverly and the joke about her 1. being riker's sister (shoutout to that trill episode where she wouldn't fuck him at first because she said he was like a brother to her) and 2. picard getting her knocked up BECAUSE LIKE HE ABSOLUTELY DID KNOCK HER UP WITH WESLEY CRUSHER THEIR AFFAIR BABY really sent me to the fucking stratosphere. tng's been pretty watchable lately so i was giving it quite a lot of benefit of the doubt

unfortunately, we went directly from that to riker yelling at deanna for no reason...i always really disliked riker's relationship with picard. he's so weirdly hyperprotective of him in a way beyond his job duties. it doesn't feel like coworkers or friends or equals or even like it's supposed to be secretly shippy the way spock and jim were - riker is too overprotective for it to even be likened to a lover's realtionship. it also doesn't even really feel fatherly, like picard is stepping in for riker's shitheel of a dad. actually, riker almost acts like picard is HIS child. it is SOOO fucking unsexy and uncomfortable

physically grinding my teeth once picard DID show back up because with ANY other two characters this would have been fantastic. riker and worf. riker and deanna. riker and literally anyone because he has that kind of chemistry and down to clown attitude. even picard could have been ok paired with beverly or data or someone he actually works well with. it could have been ANYONE. even two people who don't talk to each other much like geordi and deanna or whatever. instead we got these like truly fantastic moments of noverbal communication and mutual scheming and pretending not to know each other while actually knowing each other sooo well and it was with the LEAST fun combination of characters out of the ENTIRE cast!!!!!!! augh

AND!!!! IT'S ALL FOR STUPID ARCHAEOLOGYYYY

PICARD GET A LIFE CHALLENGE!!!!!!!!!!

it's not even that the writing was bad. i'm annoyed because the writing in this section was GOOD. but picard and riker's relationship is bad, so it soured the whole experience

anyway, i think riker should have battled his eyelashes at that wrinkled little alien when he wanted info from him. instead of whatever that was. also he was making REALLY good faces when they were torturing him with that neck thing and he was on the floor. that's a rage glare. a kill you look. mwah

oh side bar i physically could not look at geordi this episode. so that's been fun.

oh girl we are In It

firstly, odo's little bucket prison. that was SO sad because he doesn't goop in front of people. i felt horrible for him. my poor best friend odo

i really like how ambiguous it is like how much of jadzia dax is jadzia and how much is dax. does dax have his? her? their? own personality and all, or are they just the sum of their past hosts? when dax was inside that other guy, did part of them want to get out and go back to jadzia where they chose to be to begin with? to save jadzia's life? or do they not care? is dax themself not super sentient unless they're inside a host and then that host's personality is sort of dominant? so many questions.........trills are fascinating conceptually bc there's no clear definitive answers, so i was really dismayed that dax was easily the most boring character in season 1. but now!!!!!

ok, before we get into it, i have to say also, the cast rallying around dax/jadzia...really really good. actually, all their interactions with one another were spot on. bashir being SO NICEYS with odo's little bucket prison and then quark also springing odo from the bucket prison, bashir absolutely chomping at the BIT to treat o'brien's phaser wound, kira threatening quark on jadzia's behalf, quark tackling that klingon to save her/redeem himself. oh yeah and kira saying with her Whole chest that if odo's free there's no way any of the bad guys are escaping the station. my future otp......................

speaking of quark i did say the worst thing in the world to catherine while we were watching which is "this is what he sounds like when odo's plowing him" and the longer the noises went on the worse it became for her and the funnier it became for me. cathy when you read this you have my apologies

i did feel a little weird about julian stroking jadzia's face when she was naked and vulnerable recovering from worm surgery (the worm surgery was GREAT by the way) when she has explicitly and repeatedly turned him down in the past, but i'm giving it a reluctant benefit-of-the-doubt pass on account of he felt terrible about what he'd had to do and probably just wanted to comfort her, and considering the state she was in there weren't very many other ways/places to touch her except her head and maybe her hands. also i forgive him because him talking back to that klingon was sooo fun

i would have also liked for this episode to push on the insanity of being bonded to a symbiont and then being forcibly unbonded. like its just now striking me that curzon died alone. beverly's little trill boyfriend died alone. jadzia would have died alone, too. and the dax part just has to move on. like that's crazy. does dax grieve for past hosts? or would it be like grieving for yourself? what is it like seeing dax inside another body when they've been inside yours for almost your entire adult life?

but actually what i really wanted was to see this bad guy's insanity reflected in jadzia. instead of saying oh man i feel so alone she could have been like. more of a wreck. and conversely, he would have been that same kind of wreck after dax got taken back out of him. that would have been cool.

i would also like to know how the dax part felt about forcibly being put in another body they never wanted to be. are they fighting with themselves? himself? the host wants things to stay as they are but dax doesn't, so what happens? does it not feel like an awful violation? i could have used 5 more minutes of that episode

also. sorry. dax and sisko................"i wish we could have made it three" it's, sorry, toph and aang and korra core. do you think friendships can last more than one lifetime...........

icing on the cake was that he was so mad at the bad guy whose name i keep forgetting that he was like DONT CALL ME BENJAMIN and shot his ass stone cold. bc that was better than letting his friend be taken by this asshole lol

anyway, my final dax question is when does her hair get smaller. her head is such a weird shape. is she wearing a wig, is that's what's happening? and the rest of her head just looks weirdly big because of it? it's making me crazy.

Paring: Jotunn!/ frost giant! Loki X Reader

“Loki sacred the reader the will not like his Frost giant jotun form and become  scared of him and break up with him”

A/N: LOVE THIS! also  this is my first time writing Jotun/Frost giant Loki! I hope i didn’t butcher him lmao, but I hope you like the outcome! 

Yours and Loki’s relationship was fairly new however if felt like the two of you had been dating for a lifetime.With your new realtion ship  Loki has changed for the better, but he also became more circumspect. That was something he never intended on ever doing until he met you.  

You see Loki loved you with his entire being, you were the only thing that mattered to him. However he kept a secret from you that ate at him in the cold depths of the night when you slept peacefully in the comfort of his arms; his Jotunn form. With the sudden heat wave that had abruptly decided  to hit New York, his tolerance to hide his form was wearing very thin. 

You honestly didn't intend to walk in unannounced,  you were so caught up in your thoughts that you forgot to knock and just walked into his room. 

“ Lo-”

You paused, astonished at the site that's in front of you to witness. 

Loki is laying on his bed reading a book as usually but his skin appears to be  blue, this causes you to  let out a small but audible “Oh” 

   Your eyes glaze over his body for a quick second before he uses his magic to appear in his “Normal” form.  

This brings a frown to appear on your face, as your eyes move to meet his own. They are filled with devastation and sadness. He inhaled a deep breath before he blew out slowly.  

“ Please don't be disgusted, I can explain!” his tone was a sad one laced with terror.  He moved to sit up against the headboard of the bed and patted the spot next to him for you to sit. 

You didn't hesitate to make your way to the bed, as you sat with him you could tell by his body language he felt horrified as he kept shifting in his spot. 

You gently placed your hand on his knee as this would normally calm him down but he flinched at the sudden contact. You quickly pulled your hand away and apologized.   

  “I’m sorry” You gave him an apologetic smile. 

You both sat in silence as the minute passed, you gave him his time and when he was ready he finally spoke. 

“ Umm there is no easy way for me to say this” he paused letting out another deep breath.  

 “ What you saw moments ago was my true Heritage, my true form, my Jotunn form and I understand if you don’t want to ruther contuine our realtionship because of it”  he looked down not wanting to see the disgust and disappointment on your face.  

Instead he was met by the soft touch of your hand,  tilting his chin to make him  look at you. In that moment he saw none of that, what he saw instead  was your smile, the one that he loves so much  and your doe eye expression. 

“ I know love, I know of your  Jotunn heritage, I would never break up with you because of who you are loki ” You softly rubbed your thumb over his cheek. 

You wanted to laugh at his deadpan expression as the questions flowed through his mind. 

 “ How do you know?  I never mention anything about it and I always hid it the best that I could”  he waits for your response but you simply giggle which causes him to be even more confused. 

“The first time I saw you, I knew you weren't Asgardian. You were far greater than that. So i did some digging and maybe annoyed Thor to tell me ”  you yet again want to laugh at his expression, Loki could be so dense at times with you when he's so vulnerable with you.  

“ I honestly don't know what to say, You still want to be with me? You're not scared of the monster than i am? I just don’t want you to think any less of me” he looks you deep in the eyes and it makes you want to kiss  him all over his face.  

“ Loki, my love, My savior and my sweet king” you smile “ I don’t care if you are Jotunn or Asgardian or however you choose to identify.  I still love you, and I will continue to love you! You've shown me what it's like to find true love in this universe, What it feels like to be loved and to give love. I Never want you to be scared or frightened to be yourself around me” you wipe the small tears falling from his eyes. 

“Y-you mean it? If I show you my Jotunn form, will you still love me?” his Face went pale as he was afraid of your answer. 

“ Loki, Jotunn or not I will always love you” That was all the confirmation he needed before he used his magic to show his natural form. 

His skin turned into the most angelic blue you have ever seen. It glistened with the slight sunlight peeking through the curtains. You move to look into his eyes, the most beautiful crimson color of red filled them.  Your eyes roam to see his natural ridges. 

“ Can I touch Them?” you question being cautious not to upset him. He simply nodded. 

You take in the elegants of his features. The way the ridges are placed on his forehead and cascaded down his ravishing face and body. You gently lift your fingers and trace the lines. They're smooth yet rough in the best ways possible. You trace the line from his forehead down to where it ends at the top of his lip.  

Without question you lean in and place a sweet yet soft peck to his lips before you attack his face with kisses. This causes him to let out the most satisfying sound to your ears, his laugh. He has to pry you off of him just so he can gain his breath. 

 He smiled down at you as he was about to snap his fingers to turn back to his “normal” form. You quickly grabbed his hand to stop him.    

“Please don’t hide for me my love, Your beautiful like this just let me enjoy for a little while longer” he pulls you lay in his lap. 

He leans down and places a kiss to your forehead, nose and then your lips. 

“ Thank you for giving  me something i only thought my mother Frigga would give” his eyes gloss with nothing but admiration for you. 

“ What would that be my love” you hold his hand in yours. 

“ You’re love and  acceptance”

hmm...don't know how to feel about the hospital scene. felt like something was missing. no matter how drunk and drugged up rain was, sand seems a bit too chill for his own good.

wish we could have had cheurm and april waking up in bed being cute as a scene and then have mew knock at the door for emotional support.

top really isn't that clever isn't he? doesn't even consider nick as the perpetrator. however, that might fit with how little regard he has for nick as a competitor.

you know it is coming....but once again cheering for mark's acting here. neo and him really delivered this scene. interesting that boston seems to still want top...hmmm. probably the best thing for nick to be cut off by boston like this. might hurt but at least it's a clean cut.

hmmm...sand baby...really not sure whether he wasn't hurt by what ray said or if he has other things on his mind.

i actually really like how close ray and mew are and that we are getting heart-to-heart talks like this. the hand-holding was very cute.

i just love when boston raises his eyebrows like, yes, deal with me. maybe better than not meaning your apology, but i am cackling at how not sorry boston is. THE iconic scene from the trailer. perfect balance of someone could seriously drown and it looking very pathetic. particularly Boston's slap of the water in the end. love to see that cheurm (as expected) clearly is the leader of the gang.

when he yelled at nick, boston clearly knew he'd lose his friends but somehow still looked surprised when the whole group shunned him.

yes!!!! first and nick in a serious scene??? give me more. yes! you tell everyone nick, it's YOUR misguided call to make. (went into this series happy to see neo and mark in bigger roles, didn't expect to enjoy them this much). HOW is it so easy to baby Mark as Nick, he looks so sad and teary-eyed. Boston is a strong man to not hug a crying Nick despite himself. love the initial rejection of Sand hugging him quickly being won over by "please hug me, I am the most heartbroken person that has ever existed". i like that he sees Boston for who he is but also thinks he got close to Boston falling for him. maybe Boston being so hung up about Top gives him hope that that could be him (beyond trying to emulate his style, since Top is Boston's type)

fairly certain that while top might not be that much into mew, he certainly was hurt by his drawings getting burnt. i feel like it's one of the few times he made himself vulnerable by showing mew his hobby (i think there is still a struggle between him wanting to try something serious like this but uncertainty whether he want it to be with mew, or whether mew is the image of who he wants to be vulnerable with. vice versa similar projection onto top by mew in the earlier part of the series).

(again, the soundtrack is just all bangers. my week currently: ofts on saturday - sun, mo, tue, wed, thurs, fri: listening to the ost on repeat)

another unexpected combo? hmm..idk mew, not sure whether nick sees himself fully as the victim here. Ohhh, would Nick want to hurt Boston?? Ahhhh, Nick!!!! This is getting so dark.

Ahaha, I like how we can see that Mew is trying out to be "a villain". even re-using his accident with Top to deliberatedly approach someone this time. (everyone was joking about Neo single-series-ly getting to the top of the list of same-sex kisses in gmmtv, but I see Drake threw in is hat into the ring unsuspectingly). okay, Mew, let's whether you can get out of this in time. omg! he and boston really did a lot more that just what was shown in episode 1...the file is called boston69. p'jojo, please enlighten me.

ahaha, mew in his new fit is visibly so out of place in his own flat. i like seeing boston squirm. boston hasn't really much regard for himself. he is very egoistic but at the same time, his concern is about the consequences for his dad. not even the consequences for the realtionship he has with his dad. he even told nick, that he wouldn't mind it that gap hat recorded him, if it wasn't for his dad. (rotates boston in my mind for the next 24 hours)

it cannot be repeated enough how cringe top can be. and again, mew hates to be put on the spot. how has he still not understood that mew might let him into his flat to talk but will not tolerate him showing up unannounced overcompensating (possibly clear throughline to how Top's parents and everyone else around him tended to apologies to him). Wish we could have seen more of Cheurm hosing them all down before Top hit Mew.

Somehow they heard me and gave me another Mew Ray heart-to-heart? Khao is so good at making his long crush so visible whenether he is with Mew. Hmm...when will Nick realise that Mew might not have really helped his case (unless Boston approaches him to get rid of the videos for good).

Felix knocked softly on the door to Bang Chan's room, careful to not wake up anyone else with the noise. He rocked impatiently on his heels as he waited for an answer.

"Chan-hyung... Please." He squeaked.

Chan smiled fondly. "Do you want what we were doing a couple night's ago?"

Felix nodded. “Fine, but… only if we go slow, okay?”

"Of course, baby. I could never rush you." Chan cooed. He pulled Felix on to his lap like he weighed nothing. Felix tried not to melt. Chan tapped a finger against Felix's lips. Felix parted them gently, just enough to let Chan's finger slip in. Chan stroked his tongue softly, gathering some spit on his finger tip. He slipped another finger past Felix's lips and moved slowly towards the back of his mouth. Felix could feel his eyes start to water. He watched as a bead of spit rolled down Chan's palm and pooled into a crease on his wrist. Felix whimpered. He could see how enthralled Chan was by just watching the strings of spit as he moved his fingers around Felix's mouth. Chan pulled them out slowly and placed them in his own mouth.

Felix swallowed hard. He didn't think that would get to him as much as it did. "Shit..." he mumbled.

Chan sucked his fingers dry, or at least drier, then pulled them out. "Cute." He hummed. Before Felix could get embarrassed, Chan was already pressing another kiss to his lips. He kissed him again, his movements getting a little sloppy. His mouth started to open against Felix's. When Felix parted his lips in return he was instantly greeted by Chan's tongue in his mouth. Chan swished his tongue under Felix's, enjoying the minty taste of his toothpaste. Felix let out a small moan. He felt Chan smile against his mouth. OK. First off… society will never move forward until we move past the “HAHA OBRIEN SUFFERS 🤣” memes. that’s the only time fans ever talk about him and it’s insulting cuz he’s a fascinating character and the suffering he goes through is actually terrible and traumatic. If any of that had happened to like Garak or Odo or Julain it would be the most talked about event EVER. It’s interesting because O’Brien is a really good foil as the “everyday family man” and that’s why he was chosen to go through so much, but cuz he’s not a shippable twink no one cares.

Onto his in show character… well like I said he obviously has a lot of suffering epsiodes.. but honestly i think he WAS wasted potential. Not as much as some other characters, but it seems like he’s only brought on to either go through horrific trauma or solve some engineering issue and then he’s ignored again. (TW JILES) He works as a really good foil with Julian (and there’s more on that that’s been said before) but I wish we got more of his realtionship with Worf, or Sisko, or Jadzia, just the rest of the crew. I wish we’d explored more into his previous history with war, and how he felt about having fight in a new war, or more about him and Keiko (instead of just ‘my wife is away boohoo’- like show us more of their dynamic while she is there) and his REACTION to all these terrible things that happen to him.. Granted we do get little peaks at some of this - and Hard Time is like, the O’Brien character study EVER- and it just makes you wish they’d gone in fully and really done something more with his character. when things ramp up and it gets really insane and he’s just trying to make sure him and his family get out of all this ok. Also btw the O’Brien part in The Ship where he’s comforting that dying ensign… SO GOOD BUT SO FUCKED UP. UGH. Final note O’Brien and Nog workplace freindship…. best fucking Ever.

His realtionship with his father was troubled. Saeclus and Clius were different on almost every front, and this wasn't helped with the fact that Saeclus had very different plans for his future than what Clius expected of him. This conflict and Clius' severity as a parent is what set the stage for Saeclus' escape from home. Despite all of this, Saeclus was very attached to his father at the same time, and knew that Clius truly believed that this life would be for Saeclus' best. His death made Saeclus go absolutely crazy.

His relationship with his mother was very close. Saeclus didn'tjust inherit Arte's delicate angles and feminine beauty, but he also inherited her appreciation and love for art. Arte loved her husband and all of her children, but she was the most attached to Saeclus as both her youngest and the son that spent the most time with her. Arte was devastated when Saeclus went away, and fell into depression when rumors began spreading that he had died, eventually falling into a comatose state.

His relationship with his oldest brother was also very close. Nocsis was into his teens when Saeclus was born and by the time, he'd grown to be a child, he was a young adult. So unsurprisingly, their relationship could be two close brothers or a father and son's depending on their situation at that moment. Nocsis was the only one who didn't judge Saeclus for his actions and tried to understand him first and foremost. His death took a heavy toll on Saeclus.

His relationship with his older brother was alright. They weren't nearly as close as Nocsis and Saeclus, as Caranthus wasn't one for too much social interaction in the first place. But he liked Saeclus enough to spare him some of his time, and Saeclus was more than happy to have some time with his brother. Caranthus even reworked the mansion's library all at Saeclus' request. The two of them grew closer after Saeclus received the title of Lord Sanguine when Caranthus dismissed it, so when he died of Endzeit, it once again hit Saeclus heavily.

🎻 - What were their childhood hobbies?

See, the things is Saeclus wasn't allowed to have hobbies really. Everything that he'd spend his time on had to be something that would be useful in the vision his family - namely his father - had in mind for him. That being said, Saeclus isn't someone who gives up easily. And with his persistence and per his mother's request, he was allowed to have an art instructor and enjoy classic literature.

But he did, occasionally, sneak out of the mansion he was kept inside at all times just to wander the wilderlands and see the "outside world". He picked flowers, wandered the forest, discovered lakes and befriended some animals. He even found his pet Stormbird there, although he told his father that he found him in the garden instead.

🌹 - What is their favorite childhood memory?

A family dinner. He was in his early teens, and both his parents and brothers had been home for a good while now. The world was at peace and they didn't have to worry about anything, and for this tiny speck of time in their immortal and unending - as they believed - lives, they could sit around the same table like a normal famliy.

And they talked about everything - about how eased up Clius seemed, without the heavy burdens of overwork bearing down on his shoulders, and how vibrant Arte was, with all of her children and her beloved husband there with her. How Nocsis was more playful and Caranthus more open. It wasn't hard to realize how Saeclus felt like he was in heaven now.

I stared directly into the void for this last one because I get so emotional over his dumb childhood because all those memories are so bittersweet for him after all these years past and I need to punch a wall because of extreme feels 😭 Thank you for the questions love <3

Dear Tumblr People and Other Lovely Creatures, this is a letter of confession/rant, because something happened to me and I need to get it off my chest, so bear with me or skip this entirely if it pops up on your feed. Don’t expect any extraordinary analysis.

(Contains spoilers for Shadowhunters TV show, 2016, if by chance you plan to watch it yet.)

Recently I had few really bad days feeling misserable, not belevieng in myself, being anxcious and thus incapable of doing what I needed to do. So I ended up doing something I haven’t done in quite some time actually - binge watching a show I didn’t really want to watch at all. Shadowhunters: The Mortal Instruments.

Reasons why I didn’t really want to wath the series are many:

I was affraid it will have the same stupid plot devices, tv-show instantenious solutions to really big problems, character’s choices etc. like most such series have and I’ve seen too many of them to not be frustratd when they happen. Well. I got this one right.

I haven’t read the books and I prefer to read the books first, but I don’t enjoy young adult books much. I’m not all that young adult anymore. I’m a bit sad, ‘cause I wanted to read the books for mayn years, since I frist heard of them, but never got to them.

I don’t trust fantasy series and movies much. I’ve seen some good ones recently, but in the years before there weren’t many decent ones. But this is an older show.

I expected only straight romance. I’m straight, I’ll admit it right away, but straight romances have the most stupid dynamics and it’s not all that’s in the world. Far from it and it needs to be recognized and properly represented. And this is an older show. This is one point where I was pleasantly surprised, actually. (A bit. More on that later.)

I expected it to be generic YA drama with some fantasy elements. And i’m passed those. I don’t really enjoy them anymore. Wasn’t as bad as I expected.

Alas, I was somewhat depressed and had no control over myself and started to watch it.

Clary was super annoying from the beginning. (Plus I don’t like the actress much.) Izzy was... ugh. (But she got better.) Alec... reminded me of low-budget Damon Salvatore. (But he got better, too.) Jace... well he had “The Male Lead” tattooed on his forhead from the begginig, so... (But he actually got a bit better, as well.)

Enters Magnus Bane, the High Warlock of Brooklyn. Holy f*ing sh*t. I got hooked. I swear I watched the entire series only because of Magnus Bane... and yeah, also his romance with Alec “f**k-this-sh*it-I’m-gonna-marry-the-warlock” Lightwood. I’m not sure if I’m not biased, because I really liked just about everything about Magnus, but honestly, their romance felt way better to me then all of the other realtionship drama. (Like who from the Clary-Jace-Maia-Simon mess didn’t slept with each other with the two months the events were happening? And two of them allegedly only eighteen. Kids, chill, please.)

In the end there were a lot of things I hated (there were some I liked, don’t worry) and it left me with a bitter feeling of longign for a story I would enjoy (preferably with Magnus, ‘cause he’s really fun) and I don’t know what to do with myself now. Because I don’t want to read the books.

I’ve checked and they’re mostly from Clary’s point of view and I don’t really care much for her (and i means less Magnus, which is understandable, but meh).

Yes, I have noticed there are books about Magnus. But I would be missing lore from the other books (and from what I gathered it’s a slightly different lore than what is in the TV show, as expected).

The whole angels-demons thing bores me to no end.

The romance with Jace makes me angry (How happy I was, when Clary got togehter with her best friend! More shows like this!... Oh, right. How intrigued I was wondering how will Jace and Clary deal with the fact they’re siblings and have feelings for each other and that’s a no-no... Oh, guess what?!)

I actually liked that Izzy seemed to be the b*tch queen but turned out sweet, but they say that in the books she actually is the BQ, so.

Y’know at the beginning it actually seems like Jace, Alec and Izzy are the only Shadowhunter in New York. Then it seems these kids actually run the NY Institute. They’re just kids! Yes, I guess they’re a bit older than Clary, but not much really. They’re kids! And in the books Clary isn’t even eighteen, she’s just fifteen and... lemme tell you... that’s too young for me now.

Also. The whole Shadowhunters traingn since they were little... No. Please, stop. Let the kids be kids. Sure, you can train them a bit, it’s healthy to do sports, but don’t turn kids into soldiers when you don’t have to. And you don’t have to in this case. There’s enough adults to do the job. This is not Hunger Games, specifically meant to kill kids. Nor Harry Potter, where the sh*t just hits the fan. This is highly evolved society!

What actually made me a bit happy was the afformentioned effort for the representation. Like, it could use more! A lot more. But I was glad the main LGBTQ+ couple was gay, not lesbian (Which is also cool, but it is in TV shows way more often, because it’s... “safe”, more accepted to show? Idk.) and the books started to be published in 2007 and it’s canon. The sad thing is, that we don’t really see anything more, even in the background. Yes, in the last season Helen and Aline are together. And Rafael seems to be an ace. Which is also nice, because they are severly underrepresented. Don’t know if the last two are canonical, though.

If by any chance, anybody read all this way here, please don’t come at me. It’s nearly 2 AM here, I’m tired, still a bit “depressed” and I don’t hate your favourite series. I just crave a story that would temporarily fill the void and this one was not it. But it has provided a character I’ve “fallen in love with”, so it’s all very complicated in my void now.

If I had read the books when I first heard of them in the late 00′s / early 10′s I might have loved them (and I hear they are better then the series). It’s just not what I would most likely enjoy now, being in my early 30′s.

Also... I know that as a straight person I don’t have much of a rigth to talk about LGBTQ+ representation, but I do like to see it - and I like to see it done well, because how else are we going to make the world into a place where two (or more) people are in love and the only problem other people can have with it, is if everything is consentual and they’re all of age, without showing everyone that it’s perfectly normal and great? (Of course, I hope that in that world nobody would have to question if it’s consentual and legal, but you get my meaning, right?)

I’m sorry, English is not my native tounge and sometimes I get entangled in my thoughts even if it’s not the middle of the night. I also have trouble to express myself briefly.

genre: angst summary: why first months of realtionsips are perfect, and then everything fucks up?

why first months of the relationships are perfect? why after awhile your lover one shows thier true colours? this questions were haunting down your mind for some time now. thought of relationship always made you dizzy, cause how could people get together and trust each other? but you forgot about this once you get into realtionship yourself. taeyong was person, who was perfect in your eyes. he always cared about you, asked about your day, and was nice. you felt happy, cause you had such a good soul besides you. little did you know it was a mask, and reality hit you hard. 

 first few months were like in heaven. taeyong was taking you out on dates, and once in a while boughts you flowers. cute, isn’t it? it’s all changed when you move in together. seeying each other everyday isn’t the greatest idea. you noticed how he was bothered by small things you did. you would argue about such a small things like cleaning home or wash the dishes. for you it was new, that your sweet boyfriend gets angry so quickly. you tried to confront him about this many times, but he always find something to pass the conversation. it gets kind of boring to you. getting mad at you for no reason to be honest. but back then it was nothing comparing to now.

 taeyong would leave house more frequently without you, the last date you were on was like three months ago. you two were kissing like it was your MUST to do. something was off, and you couldn’t tell what. the worse things were in your mind, maybe he doesn’t love you? what if he got bored? maybe he found someone better than you? it was so confusing, and made you sick. you even called doyoung or johnny, his best friends, to talk about his behaviour but they knew nothing besides that taeyong spends more time in studio alone. you knew that you should talk about it with him, cause stress you have because of it, is growing on you.

 you woke up, cause you heard noise coming from the corridor. you took bathrobe, and went to your boyfriend. taeyong didn’t even look at you, as he passed you by. what gets into him again?

“you don’t even say simple hello?”

“is it my obligation to do so?” he was sarcasitc. “i am hungry. do you did something for dinner?”

 it was obvious that he came come for food, and he will left after he is done eating.

 everyone in the room were surprised by your sudden outburst, including you,  and lines about everything. everybody knew that music is very important to taeyong, and it’s something he takes serious. yuta and mark couldn’t belive how you dissed now your ex boyfriend. even taeyong couldn’t process what he just heard.

“i am in studio to make music! to do what i love! you calling my music shitty, better look at yourself and your fucked up shit you call art.” he was smiling now. “fuck me? okay then. if you want to end things like that, fine. get the fuck ouf of my aprtment, now.”

“happily.”

 yuta, and mark finally get out of their trans. “wait, guys! you shouldn’t be mean to yourselfs and maybe you just should talk.”

“you know what?” he asked laughing, and both of his friends gave him their attention. “i made songs about her.”

“about y/n? didn’t you say that you’’ll never make a song about a girl?” yuta teased his friend.

“yeah, i remember that.”

“screw it. i thought she deserves it.” he pushed the bottom. “this is called ‘roses’ [finn askew song, let’s pretend it’s taeyongs], cause she reminds me of roses. i used to buy her flowers.

You stood there, the clenching pain in your heart not helping.

"I'm really sorry, Y/N. . ." Oikawa gave you a soft smile. "But I don't think I can return the feelings, I mean look—"

"I know you. . . don't have to explain, Tooru. . ."

What did you expect? To return back his feelings?

Oikawa stared at Kyotani sitting with you, talking about who knows what. He felt uneasy seeing you smiling at him and a slight pink blush dusted in your cheeks.

Oikawa observed that the two of you are getting closer and closer this past months.

He thought you like him, just like what you told in your confession.

Oikawa immediately called the boy to come and practice. He watched as Kyotani smiled at you softly before running over to where the other players stood to practice.

He stared over to you, where the heavy feeling in his heart got worse when you stared at Kyotani, with a longing gaze in your eyes.

That night, Oikawa sat there on his bed. He was rethinking his life decisions, especially that day when you confessed to him. He knew. He just knew he did something wrong.

The truth hit him hard as he stared aimlessly at the thin air.

Oikawa held the rose in his hands tightly. He looked down at it and twirled it between his pointer finger and thumb, observing the smooth red petals.

Oikawa jumped and stared at Iwaizumi who was looking down at him and the rose back and forth.

"It's a rose, obviously. A-and it's actually for. . . one of my fangirls," he lied smoothly and it was a slight success when Iwaizumi stared at him for a few momments before walking away.

Oikawa stood up from the bench with a smile on his face when you enter the gym.

Kyotani also came in, holding your hand, blushing madly and looking somewhere else.

Oikawa stood there with a heavy heart.

He just stood there as he listened to his heart fall apart.

He just stood there watching you blush and tighten your grip around Kyotani's hands.

Slowly, making sure he goes unnoticed, he walked to the boy's changing room. He locked himself in the stall, ignoring the stinging sensation in his eyes.

He leaned on the wall and slowly sat down, knees pressed up against his chest.

If he had given you a chance during your confession would he end up with you?

Hot and fat tears rolled down his cheeks.

Maybe.

If he hadn't played with your feelings, would he have you?

He sobbed loudly.

Probably.

He had stayed in there as the seconds rolled by. And as the time ticked away, the truth hit harder and harder at him.

Oikawa exhaled, a sob escaping from him.

He had lost you.

You were used to see Atsumu reject his admirers, the usual long and half-sincere speech he gave them was all said easily by Atsumu as if he had done this all of his life.

Never you have thought that you would be the one of the many to receive it.

You blinked back the tears, making sure you don't cry infront of your best friend.

"'Tsumu. . ." You raised your hand up and sighed. The heavy feeling in the pit of your stomach is so suffocating, and the clenching pain in your heart isn't bearable.

"It's fine," you look up to him to see relief swimming in your eyes.

Atsumu sighed, slowly walking up to you and hugging you gently as of he was afraid to hurt you.

After that painful confession, you and Atsumu were still the bestest friends. He knew he had hurt you but he was a little happy when you slowly started healing.

He was happy. Atsumu is really happy.

Until he actually fell for you.

He loves how you lighten up when you see him, how you bravely diss and roast him infront of his teammates and how much an independent and a strong person you are.

You have no idea how much I do too.

"But the time will come when we would part ways and find someone to love us unconditionally,"

Atsumu froze.

He knew he was lying, even to himself. He wasn't happy, in fact it was the opposite.

"I have to go now, 'Tsumu, the bus is here," You wiped his tears and kissed his forehead. "Bye!"

He watch as you went up the bus.

"Love you," he whispered, only loud enough for you to hear.

You smiled, tears stinging your own eyes.

"Love you too,"

He watched as you went in the bus, and watch as the bus disappeared down the street.

This November Life by forestgreen - UTHR au. A lethal, smart and competent crime lord!Jason with a plan, who doesn’t goes all dumb and angry the second he meets Batfam. He also gets a cool hacker ally and learning in university.

The Phoenix Never Dies by ForceMage56 - Merges Jason's regular origin with Arkhamverse origin really well. A hurt Jason who saves himself. I also liked that Bats aren't really villianized here. They made mistakes but they're not monsters. Also an OC who was geniunely likeable to me (a certificied disliker of OCs lol). And Jason is also a BAMF here. "Do not fight Jason Todd on any battle field, you will lose". A great balance of action and emotions.

Ash and Explosions by raindropfeathers - also kinda dark!Jason.

A Dance on Broken Glass by starknjarvis is a really good Alfred-Jason realtionships deciption. Not perfect but trying!Alfred is especially an amazing part of it. (I'm not sure on your stance on Alfred so sorry if you don't enjoy fics with him).

Kindling for the Fire by Lysical - Jason being competent and smart and getting around the no killing rule by manipulating people into killing each other. Jason and Barbara bantering. Also Barbara underestimating Jason.

Dark!Jason is a treat, love it!

Alfred is a cool character, he is not the perfect grandparent or caretaker but he does appreciate and value his grandkids. He has done a pretty good job for an ex MI6 agent. Jason & Alfred content is something that I don't seek out but it is welcomed!

Jason and Barbara content as just friends, partners or lovers is something that I don't like but you kinda sold that last one to me when you said that "Barbara underestimating Jason" 😆

Also! I am happy you appreciate Jason being competent and being written in a fair way. I will use that to rant a little bit about what I think about it.

My stance on it is quite hard to describe.

I think that Jason is an excellent fighter, he would be a crazy opponent to many in the DC universe. But i tend to draw the line at him being the best of the best. In a sense I think he is missing training in certain areas but that's what makes him great too.

One of my biggest turn offs from the New 52 era was the fact that Lobdell would not stop giving him abilities. He can do this and he knows that and was capable of things that people with way more training could do...

It was unrealistic and kinda boring in the end (not a fan of the whole "chosen one" bullshit that Tynion and Lobdell had going on back then).

I prefer the Jason that was trained by Batman and the League of Assassins. The Jason who had plans for his plans but also had a rapid way to end things even if things didn't end up going his way.

In UtRH, Jason fled the scene many times because he knew that he wasn't prepared or that he wasn't a good match. But that's made him better! It kept him on his toes and made him adapt more.

The learning process was amazing. Him coming back for a second time but this time prepared was a great thing, it felt more real and like Jason had room to become even better.

Now with Task Force Z I get a little bit of that but mostly the vibe that he gives me is that he knows more than he lets out.

The way that he seems to be two steps ahead of everyone but secretly really makes me happy.

Anyway, I am done, that was a long and unnecessary rant, sorry about that!

But yeah, in the end, I am happy that you enjoy the content that doesn't undervalues Jason's skill-set. He is more than weapons, he is incredibly intelligent and I have always wanted to see him have villains that would make him think more.
