the Devil doesn’t bargain
Reader and Proud Immortal Demon Way
You were naive.
Died by the hands of a speeding car, you reincarnated into the world SVSSS…or PIDW you’re assuming since you found yourself becoming a slave with Shen Jiu and Yue  Qi, with your slave number being Ba for eight. The slavers found you when you were a toddler, bringing you to where the other slave children were. There, you were raised alongside Shen Jiu and Yue Qi. You were quite happy because Shen Jiu was your favorite character, despite not being there in the three books.
He was human with many layers and sides. You didn’t see an evil scumbag or a bitter slave that became a Peak Lord, but rather a child that was molded by society’s cruelty. Having taken psychology, you knew the Nature vs Nurture theory and evidence of it. And it’s clear that Shen Jiu is the product of Nurture rather than Nature.
You three were inseparable, becoming the dusk of Qi-ge’s light and A-jiu’s night. You had no hesitation to steal if it meant that your friends would be fed. A-Jiu would scold you while Qi-he would fuss over you, checking for wounds. It was then you swore you would change their fates from the original plot.
Even when you three were sent to the Qiu Household and Qi-ge ran away with the promise of returning, you stayed with A-Jiu to share his suffering. You became a friend and kindred spirit.
Even when you burned the Qiu’s house, except for Qiu Haitang, the women and the children. You held A-jiu’s hand all this time, smiling at him. Shen Jiu asked, “Will you not leave me?”
And you only graced him with a smile while saying, “I’ll be with you, A-Jiu. Whether fire, water, or air. Through light and darkness, I’ll be with you. And if you die, I’ll burn the world that has wronged you.”
You watched his eyes tear up as determination roared in your chest, prepared to change his fate.
30 years later…
A-jiu’s dead.
You stared emotionlessly at the corpse of Shen Jiu, now Shen Qingqiu, who’s now a bound corpse in the middle of the Huanhua palace room where his trial was. Cultivators, especially the ones from the great four sects were either celebrating his death and those angered that he got out too quickly before he could be replayed tenfold.
You walked towards the corpse, ignoring any voice that spoke your way, they were irrelevant. You took A-Jiu in your arms, his cold body against your warm and alive one as you embraced him. You nosed into the crook of his neck as anger began to bubble like a pot of water on a stove. Shaking, you hold him tightly as you grit your teeth.
“What are they doing!?”
“A friend?”
“As if that scum has any friends!”
The last line broke any restraint as you screamed into the ceiling with unbridled anger, letting out the demon that resided in you unleashed.
BENDY!
The ink demon was delighted to be out.
A shrilling screech followed by a guttural roar resounded throughout the room before black inky tentacles shot out of you and latched themselves onto everyone within the sect building. No one could escape, even as they resisted and struggled, it was fruitless as the tentacles latched onto their heads, rendering them still and vulnerable.
As you fed them the memories of Shen Jiu, letting them watch the nightmare you and he went through, you began singing. Call you mad in grief and sorrow, it’s the last piece of sanity you could entertain before actually going mad with anger, grief, and sorrow.
Before you destroyed Jianghu.
The lyrics left your lips before you even noticed, broken with incoming sobs.
“ The moon will sing a song for me,
I loved you like the sun
Bore the shadows that you made
With no light of my own
I shine with only the light you gave me…
I shine with only the light you gave me…”
The voices from the puddles join in with your singing, comforting your loss. Tears fell like a waterfall from your eyes, only to be wiped by a grotesque and deformed hand. The hand itself was barely covered by a glove, which only protected the palm and not the three fingers it had. A deep and guttural voice spoke beside you, near your ear. “Angry, little human?”
You looked back at Bendy, whose human teeth were stretched into an inhumanely wide smile, his horns curved back, and his body disfigured and disproportionate. He looms over you, towers even, but you feel no fear.
“So much,” you replied as the tentacles slowly retreated back onto Bendy, you came out of your back. One by one, the cultivators in the room regain awareness of their surroundings, pale with horror and realization. You glanced at Luo Binghe, who at one point had sympathized with him and loved him, who looked at you with new realization, paleness, and something unreadable.
You moved on to the Cang Qiong sect, where the peak lords are white as a sheet as they realize what they had done to your misunderstood friend.
Qiu Haitang, whom you glared with disgust, trembled. “No…it can’t be..my brother—“
“Was a lecherous, greedy, scum bastard,” you spat out the words like acid. “Qiu Janlou,”’ you said the name like it was a bitter delicacy. “That’s what he was. And you were too blind to see it, stupid princess.”
“I thought you were lying!” She cried, so into her head at the revelation and revealed that she didn’t notice you walking towards her. It wasn’t only till you gripped her head with your fingers, squishing her cheeks painfully while digging your nails. “Do you also wanna know?” You said loudly for all of them to hear. “Your brother lusted after you! That man was not only a lecher but also an incestuous mutt! A pathetic human being so low to even live!”
Before the girl could say anything, you slapped her, nails scratching her cheek. “You spoiled,” another slap “coddled, “and another “weak mistress!” A final slap sent her to the ground, her pretty face marred with scars from your nails.
You flicked the blood of your nails, sneering in disgust. Her sobs didn’t deserve any sympathy from you.
You then looked at the Old Palace master, a smile so vile with anger that he would've melted on the spot. “And all you pathetic cultivators talk about scum, you  aren’t aware that a certain scum hides amongst you!”
They all turn to the Old Palace Master, who tries and fails to put up a kind facade. “What evidence do you have—“
“Oh, we’re really going that route?” You smiled with teeth, Bendy as the Ink Demon laughed behind you. “How about we ask Tianlang-Jun that!”
At your words, demonic qi filled the room as the said demon lord entered with casual swag, Zhuzhi-lang by his side. They gasped at his appearance, disbelief, and anger as they tried to make sense of this.
Tianlang-Jun, for his part, smiles casually yet his eyes hold malicious anger. “My, it has been quite a while since I’ve seen some familiar faces,” his eyes immediately went to the Old Palace Master. “Especially you.”
“How!?” The old man cried, speaking the question everyone had in mind.
With dramatic flair, you looked at Luo Binghe. “Luo Binghe, I would like to introduce to you Tianlang-Jun, your father. Who loved your mother, Su Xiyan, with all of his heart. Unfortunately, her Shizun was obsessed with her and out of jealousy, lied to the whole cultivation world to get rid of Tianlang-Jun. Who poisoned Su Xiyan to kill the baby who is now known as Luo Binghe.”
Meeting the said young man’s eyes, you then stated. “And the reason why you became an orphan.”
You ignored the hitched breath as you looked at the cultivators gathered, “Pathetic cultivators, young and old, I have come to announce the destruction of Jianghu!”
Expectedly, this outraged everyone excluding the two demons and you. Yue Qi looked at you pleadingly, trying to negotiate or settle this peacefully, but you snapped your head at him with fierce eyes. “Don’t talk to me so familiarly, Zhangmen-shixiong.” You said mockingly, outraging his shidis and disciples in his sect. “He was your brother, your friend! And yet you sided with the majority when it came to rumors and accusations! Didn’t I tell you to stay by his side, to give the benefit of the doubt to these rumors!? Are my visits a waste of time if this is the result!?” You groused, fingers elongating and scales fluttering on your cheek. “What a poor brother you have been to A-Jiu, you pathetic excuse of a brother!”
With a snap of your fingers, shards of glass hurriedly gathered into the air to form a single shard. The reflection then changed to the entirety of the Central Plains, whose faces were horrified and angry. You laughed, “People of the human realm, do you judge these cultivators as unworthy protectors of you all!?”
“Yes!” The people in the shard answer.
“What’s going on…” a cultivator asked, losing sense of reality.
“They know?!”
“The common people were watching the whole time!?”
“Stop them!” The Little Palace mistress shrieked, outraged that not only her father was slandered but soon their reputation would be destroyed.
“Silence!” You growled at her. “You have your answer from the people,”
Deciding enough was enough, you looked up at the sky with arms raised at your sides. “You celebrate his death, I’ll only celebrate…”
“When your ashes fall.”
From there, like a broken dam, demons poured into the building with glee.
Years later…
The story of the ruler of the Human realm spread for millennia. The story of how they overthrew the Emperor and his courts, how they exposed the truth of the cultivator world and brought it down to rebuild it back up. The story of how the Ruler of the Human realm soon merged and traded with the Demon Realm’s Emperor, Tianlang-Jun, who had been wronged by the cultivators.
In return for freeing him, Tianlang-Jun handed his only blood son to them as payment for their loss of a friend.
Some may pity the half-blood, but others would say that he got what he deserved for being blinded by hate and anger.
There were stories of the Qing Jing peak lord, Shen Qingqiu, who was abused at youth, and climbed to the top to have security, only to be gifted with accusations and a trial by the cultivators he adored.
There were songs about the tragedy of the two friends, the death of Shen Jiu, and the loss of the Ruler.
Demons and humans soon assimilated into each other, and racism between them soon became little as they understood one another. Cultivators soon became not demon eradications but rather equal to demons when it comes to fighting. The ruler of the Human realm does not tolerate racism, nor do they tolerate slavery, leading to the abolishment of slavery and giving the homeless a place of food and shelter while giving children a chance to learn and adults a chance to earn.
Yet, despite the good they have achieved, the ruler of the human realm soon died afterward, leaving their head disciple as heir.
The son of Tianlang-Jun, Luo Binghe, soon returned to the Demon Realm and it was whispered that he had changed while under the human ruler. There are whispers from servants that he has mellowed down and soon became hard-working yet stoic, not taking any wives or husbands nor concubines.
There were whispers of the servants from his chambers that said that when he would think he was alone, he would clutch a fan and a stuffed toy in his hands, pulling them close to his chest.
No one knew of the Ink Demon that lurks in the Human Palace, following, and tailing the Ruler. No one knows of its inky abyss that had sent rats of pathetic beings down to become one of the monstrous creations or a Lost Soul. No one knows that once the Ruler has passed, it soon lingers in the shadows of their Head disciple who took on the mantle to rule.
———-
All was dark before voices invaded your ears, stirring you to the waking world. When you woke up to clear green eyes, you weren’t surprised to find yourself back in the past with Shen Jiu. And by the looks of it, the wretched Qiu shack they put the two of you in.
You snarled internally when you looked at A-Jiu’s broken legs, “No…”
You refused to repeat the past.
Manhandling Shen Jiu on your back, you broke down the wooden wall of the shack with your body before running with Shen Jiu.
You won’t let Shen Jiu die.
You won’t let him be wronged.
You will make sure he’s raised with love.
With knowledge.
You’ll make sure he’s living happily.
Away from Cang Qiong.
Away from other cultivators.
Away from Luo Binghe.
With your knowledge of the future and the teachings that you had learned before your death, you’re sure of things.
The sound of screams was music to your ears, watching in glee as everything was thrown into chaos. Bendy having his fun with tearing apart any foolish cultivator that tried to go up against you. You watched as those who had wronged your friend were thrown to the ground before being branded as property for the demons to claim.
That was your end of the deal, offering any cultivator in the designated place that catches the eyes of the demons helping you.
You clapped with manic joy as you watched the Little Palace Mistress wail at the hot brand being burned on her skin by a large demon, who looked at her with leering eyes. Was this wrong? Morally, yes. But then again, it was an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth. Hammurabi's code historically. You did say to A-Jiu that you will burn the world that wronged him to the ground, and you’re about to do that.
You in your madness of rage, glee, and vindictiveness, spun in the middle of the chaos. “Kings have honor,” your right hand flung to the side open-handed in the air “Soldiers have bravery,” your other hand reached to the other side, making you go in a wide arm stance with two of your hands up in the air as if praising the gods up above. You then brought your hands together before clasping at your chest, “And poets have heart.” You smiled even when you felt a threat going behind your back. “But all I have…” Even when they raised a sword upon you before bringing it down…
Swish! Clang!
Luo Binghe looked absolutely dashing in his demonic heritage when you stopped Xin Mo with a scythe you procured from your sleeve. You kept your smile even then, eyes wide with fury, ink dripping down your face as if you were melting.
"̵̧̛̻̦̲̮̱̻̰̱̰̰͊̊Ḭ̶̧̺̜̮͙̗̙͓̿́͊̓̏̑͐̔̍͒̉͂̈́Ṡ̶̞̣̹͓̻̣̝͚̾̎ ̵̨̨͚̤̗̓͗̐̌̉R̵̢̡̩̦̘̗̪͇̬̺̓͆̓́̀͜͠Ą̷̮͎͎͒Ğ̸̫͎̗̠͓̖͇Ę̵̧̺̹̣̫͚̹͔̞͋̂̈́̐̍̈́͐̋̚!̵̡̧̼̠͓̥͓̬̗͕̜̙̄̈́͋̈͑̒̉͆"̷̟͎͉́̒̚ ———————
Throughout the years, you’ve managed to avoid Cang Qiong and the other sects, even people that hurt you and Shen Jiu such as Wu Yanzi. (Although you killed him when you had the chance.) You taught A-Jiu everything you knew about being a cultivator, such as opening your spiritual sense and forming a golden core, and even stole some manuals that’ll help you.
You both lived out your days in a cave, which you redecorated to both of your liking. A-Jiu learned to sew robes for the two of you, the quality immaculate, as expected as the soon-to-be - now the former peak lord.
You taught him how to read and write, which garnered his suspicions. You told him the truth, how you knew the future, and how you retained your memories. At first, A-Jiu was in disbelief but soon believed you since you had knowledge that was above a slave.
You two lived happily…
Until people from the past came looking for Shen Jiu.

yandere! luo binghe with shixiong!male!reader headcanons
Tumblr media
Warnings: obsessive behavior, mentions of violence, physical abuse, and blood.
There may also be possible triggers in this story.
If you do not feel comfortable venturing any further, please hit the 'back' button on your device or computer and read something much more pleasant than a possible series of unfortunate events.
I would like to thank @berrypuddingpwease for helping me expand a concept to full-fledged headcanons featuring one of my favorite characters from MXTX's danmei series, Scum Villian's Self-Saving System, aka SVSSS. This is dedicated to you, my friend :)
So without being said, sit back, relax, and enjoy!
Luo Binghe had suffered one tragedy after another in his life, and being a disciple of Cang Qiong Mountain Sect with a scummy master would later serve as the foundation of his twisted personality in the future. You know it will happen because you have read it. This world you had woken up in, is none other than the famous stallion novel, Proud Immortal Demon Way. Your current incarnation wasn’t a member of Luo Binghe’s three digit harem nor the villain Shen Quingqui, but an extra, a senior disciple in Qing Ding Peak.
Since you weren’t equipped with a system, at least that you were currently aware of at the moment, it wouldn’t be considered OOC for canon fodder to try and be a good mentor to the current white lotus that is Luo Binghe, or try to improve your own cultivation so there was a chance you would survive the sect’s demise when the protagonist emerged from the Endless Abyss as an awakened Heavenly Demon.
It started off with the small things; greeting Luo Binghe  with a smile whenever you saw him, sneaking an extra bit of food or medicine into the woodshed when you were sure no one was watching you, especially Shen Qingqiu. He might be a good teacher, but his temper was a legend in this peak.
The only way you could help Luo Binghe improve himself was to purposely compare your cultivation manual with the one he had, the false one written by the peak lord in an attempt to thwart the protagonist’s growth. By doing this, it would add another reason for Luo Binghe to hate his shizun.
You allowed him to borrow your book to copy any information he needed, as long as he was discreet. Lup Binghe swore to take good care of the manual, holding it close to his chest with sparkling eyes as he stared at you with a smile. It was cute, this white lotus version of Binghe.
Seeing positive changes in how behavior had been worth withstanding Shen Qingqiu’s anger, especially when he found out just the other day that you were the culprit who had been sneaking an extra portion of food to the protagonist. Good things the sleeves of the cultivation uniform were long enough to hide the bruises starting to form on your arms. There’s no doubt that the sect leader will start dishing out punishment to you from now on, even for the smallest mistake.
Oh, well. You’ll just have to be more careful in behaving around the rest of the sect and Binghe from now on. Still, how could he continue to grow without triggering the events that would lead to his blackening?
As you contemplated these thoughts, you could not have realized nor believed just how much of your presence in this world the plot of Proud Immortal Demon Way in very unexpected ways until it was too late to revert the damage that had already been done.
Luo Binghe is a  very sticky, lovesick puppy for the shixiong who has treated him with so much kindness and respect and it scares him. He’s afraid he’ll wake up one morning….and realize that it had been a sweet, sweet dream. But he wakes up early every morning, and he sees his shixiong teaching the others alongside Ming Fan….and when his shixiong sees him, he smiles. And it is a warm, friendly smile that Binghe secretly wishes would belong only to him and no one else.
With his shixiong, Binghe’s life in the peak is so much better. He hasn’t been this happy in a long, long time…so why was his shizun continuing to punish his shixiong so unfairly? His shixiong didn’t do anything wrong! He is training him and the other disciples in preparation for the Immoral Alliance Conference, and doing more than his fair share of the chores around the peak!
But no matter what his shixiong did or did not do, their shizun would pull him away from him or the others, and his shixiong would not return to the bamboo house until it was past dinner-time.
Shixiong tried to brush off his concerns with a smile, but Binghe wasn’t blind! He sees the angry whip marks on his senior’s arms, his head and robes soaked with tea, the pained look in his eyes! Shixiong….Shixiong doesn’t deserve to be treated like this!
He needed to get stronger. Not just to protect himself but to make sure Shen Quingqui wouldn’t hurt his shixiong ever again! And if the sect didn’t accept them being together, then they will find happiness elsewhere. Rogue cultivators did exist beyond these mountains, although the other disciples believed they were wholly evil. But Binghe has come to realize that this world isn’t just black and white.

Lou Binghe x Male!Reader x Shen Qingqiu | Hugs
Living atop Cang Qiong Mountain with your husbands can be quite nice, especially since both your husbands are very resourceful and cunning without a doubt in your mind. They can handle themselves against anything that crawls from the depths. But there was one issue between you three that was noticeable, and it seemed to be physical touch and physical affection.
Shen Qingqiu seemed fine with physical affection on sparse occasions, and preferred the common ways to give it (kisses on the cheek that leave no room for interpretation, walking hand-in-hand in the market, side-hugs that could be disguised if someone with influence comes around). Lou Binghe was far different in how he gave it, and he gave it in full and passionate displays almost a contrast to Shen's (bear hugs that even Shen gets drawn into, holding you by the waist with his strong hands and touching your foreheads together as you bask in the moment, kisses that bruise your lips with how much passion he can dive into you).
Shen doesn't hate the overly passionate ways of receiving affection, and Lou Binghe does enjoy simple things like doing one's hair softly. But a thing they both enjoy, is when you end up between them during the calm...
Sitting on the floor and being used as Shen's seat as the immortal master studied, you had your arms gently wrapped around him as Lou Binghe leaned against your back. The half-demon was heavy, so he was mostly supporting himself and his arms were draped across your neck. The lazy day for the non-teachers of Cang Qiong Mountain had you both hugging at each other and breathing down Shen's neck until the martial master paid attention to you both. Shen, after a couple of dejected sighs from Binghe, eventually leans back into you both as you envelope him. Of course, you both squeeze him just enough to get him to complain lightly, but he doesn't fight you off.
Tumblr media
Lan Zhan x Male!Reader x Wei Wuxian | Hugs
In the beginning, the relationship was new and raw. Running across the country to clear your future-husbands names was taxing and all of you suffered until you eloped. Finally, it seemed like everything was settling down in your hearts along with the war, but then everything spilled out in your personal lives.
Lan Zhan was always the personification of rolling clouds and the perfect disciple, but the way he grabs your hand felt like stone and the emotions he shows you are turbulently clear (silence to bask in your presence, then jumping you with deep kisses, gently dressing you before grabbing your layers to drag you in). Wei Wuxian wasn't as emotionally stunned as you thought, as the jovial man had a thinner face then Lan Zhan, but you can tell he has something fearful under his facade (jumping onto your back to hug you, later rubbing your back as if apologizing, kisses that take your breath).
Being between them is like watching (and being a part of) a time bomb from years of stunted emotions, duty, servitude, war, death, horror...
And it suddenly exploded once all of the storm had cleared and the doors had closed. Your husbands grab at each other, and you, as they just hold on like the world would end without them grabbing you. Your caged between them as Wei Wuxian throws his arms around you to grab at Lan Zhan's clothes and drags him in. You're stuck between them as Wuxian doesn't allow you two to leave him, so you and Lan Zhan come in closer. And maybe it felt like everything is as it should be, just for once.
Tumblr media
Hua Cheng x Male!Reader x Xie Lian | Hugs
These two are very physically open... but only for you, and each other. Xie Lian jerks his hand away from others often, especially with women trying to gain his favor, but he always takes you carefully as the temple bustles with the daily tribute givers. Within the depths of the Gambler's Den while you're visiting Hua Cheng, you notice that the ghosts steer clear of you until your husband comes from the foyer to greet you. And with Hua Cheng nearby, you notice ghosts give you a much farther berth of space.
The touches between them are similar in some fundamental ways, but all touches between you seem to give off energy akin to, "Finally, through patience and strife, I can hold you as mine." It's a bit stifling at first, but you can ultimately tell who latches onto you by how the hands travel. Xie Lian had a heavy hand once in his life, but it has given way to delicacy only for your person (his hugs are strong but never crush your body, his kisses are smooth if clumsy with how he barely doesn't miss your lips, his hands wipe away dirt so carefully and yet hold your hand like he's anchored to you). Hua Cheng has almost a snaking feel to what he does, as if he was both daring you somehow and giving you an out, all while gazing into your eyes (his kisses seem to suck the air from your lips, his hands wrap around your waist and snake up as he teases, he grabs your arm to lead you anywhere just to thread your fingers together).
What you three have been through is one that will affect you through lifetime amounts of memories and dreams, but it's worth it as you hold each other close.
Xie Lian is cooking on his stone stove a sort of mystery soup, and refuses to budge as you hold him by the waist to watch him work in the kitchen. Hua Cheng hadn't been there for hours as he managed the Dens of the Ghost City, but you both were content nonetheless. A ghost of warm hands snake around you both suddenly, as a warmth envelopes your back. Xie Lian stops cooking to laugh at you both, his own hands resting upon both of yours as Hua Cheng kisses your neck.

The Cunning Cat and Lazy Fox
Updated here first at AO3
I wrote this at work and I’m hella tired so sorry if a bit of my unhingedness bleeds in this
Might change the chapter title later
Chapter 3 | Chapter 4 (Here) | Chapter 5
Chapter Four | The Hamster’s Polar Bear Meeting the Fox and Fighting the Cat
Your date with Shen Jiu went well. The banquet at the village chief’s home was delicious and everyone in Peony village was so kind and generous. Shen Jiu ate a lot on the insistence of the kind aunties and you were able to encourage him to dance with you. Currently, both of you are sitting at “Lover’s Lake” which is a short walk from the village chief’s house and it is a popular spot with couples as there is a tradition of couples releasing boat lanterns with their names written together onto the lake. And even though the lantern sunk once it reached the middle, it is said to be a good thing and not a bad thing as it means the lantern will stay at the bottom forever which means the couple’s love will remain forever.
“A very typical couple spot,” You commented after releasing a lantern with Shen Jiu on the lake and then sitting at a bench nearby.
“Agreed,” Shen Jiu replied.
“At least the boat lanterns are made of peony petals instead of paper and the candles are made from soybean so the land’s balance isn’t thrown off,” You added. “And it is interesting that as long as the boat lantern sinks in the middle, it is not a bad fortune for the couple,”
“And our boat just reached the middle,” Shenn Jiu stated.
“Yeah,” You replied. You and Shen Jiu watched intently as your boat lantern floated in the center of Lover’s Lake and slowly sank to the bottom. There was a brief ripple of light from the center of the lake. You and Shen Jiu remained quiet as the both of you stared at the lake as other couples’ boat lanterns arrived at the center, sunk, a rippled of light appeared, and repeated again and again. “I guess this is what makes Lover’s Lake different from the water couple’s spot,”
“... A-Duzhe,” Shen Jiu called out after a moment of silence.
“Yeah,” You replied.
“A-Duzhe must… better stay with Jiu-er or he will imprison you, A-Duzhe is after all responsible for Jiu-er,” Shen Jiu stated after grabbing your right hand.
“Ahahah alright, A-Duzhe will stay with Jiu-er till he no longer needs me,” You replied, locking your fingers together with Shen Jiu. The two of you sat at the lake till the banquet came to an end.
After returning to Cang Qiong Sect then Qing Jing Peak and giving your report to you Shizun. You gave him his herbs and a bag of white peony tea leaves as a souvenir from your trip with Shen Jiu.
“Has disciple Shen Jiu seduced you enough?” Your Shizun teased.
“Is that rumor still going around?” You huffed.
“Getting caught by disciple Liu Mingcheng and the gossip spread by disciple Qi Ziyuan and her martial siblings has done large damage to his reputation. Head Disciple A-Duzhe should have nipped it in the bud,” Your Shizun stated.
“This disciple understands his wrongdoing, this disciple will collaborate with Shen Jiu-shidi to strategize scheme to make that rumor disappear,” You bowed to your Shizun.
“This master is looking forward to it,” Your Shizun smiled. Tomorrow you will have to be more proactive in getting Shen Jiu the reputation, achievement, and skill to surpass you into becoming the head disciple of Qing Jing Peak.
What started out as a normal day. Waking up with Shen Jiu in bed with you, training your junior siblings, doing your errands for your Shizun, tense tea time with Yue Qi, and trying to hang out with Shang Huaisang. When you went to hang out with your hamster of a junior brother to talk strategy for fixing Shen Jiu’s reputation at a small house you had built just for your rendezvous with Shang Huaisang, his wet dream of a man happened to be there. It did not end well, in fact, you just fucked yourself to the demon world and your one-way home is ready to kill you. The future Mobei-jun is glaring at you as the two of you are cramped in a small cave hiding from his uncle. Just your luck, at least you know you will at least get something noteworthy at the end of this.
“For fuck sake, Xiao Bei, did you really think you would not be discovered when you visit my Shang-shidi?” You cursed in English before glaring at the chest in front of you. The cave was really small as you were pressed right up against Mobei-jun, you have started to call him Xiao Bei since he is not the northern desert king yet and to be a little menace, as well as the irony because of his demon heritage he was really tall. Your face is inches from his chest, no doubt Airplane-bro will whine when he hears this from you.
“Yours?” Xiao Bei questioned.
“Yes mine, Shang Huaisang is my Shidi and friend,” You tilt your head up with a challenging glare at Mobei-jun. “You better listen to my Shidi well, he is overworked as it is,” You felt his demonic qi swirl around you.
“And why should this prince listen to a lowly cultivator?” Xiao Bei questioned, you felt a claw hand at the back of your neck.
“This one is no lowly cultivator nor are they a righteous one either,” You replied, aiming your sheathed dagger at Xiao Bei’s family jewels. As you and Xiao Bei had a tense standoff, you both heard the sound of footsteps and looked over at the opening of the cave.
Appearing at the mouth of the cave was one of Linguang-Jun’s henchmen, you quickly unsheathed your dagger and launched it at the henchmen with far too much strength, the dagger sliced the henchmen’s head clean off. As you crawled out of the small cave, Xiao Bei following you, you carefully looked around for any more of Linguang-Jun’s henchmen. As you heard steps coming closer you ready your dagger but you were grabbed by the back of your uniform and dragged into a portal as you felt an arrow scratched your arm. Despite the scratch being small, you felt as if your whole arm was lit on fire and spread to the rest of your body. As you blackout from the pain, you feel cool hands on your back and under your knee.
As you awoke to a wail, you slowly opened your eyes. It’s really cold, you thought. As you sat up, the first thing you saw was Shang Huaisang sobbing and pacing.
“Shang-shidi?” You groaned.
“Duzhe-shixiong!” Shang Huaisang yelled and in the blink of an eye appeared by your bedside. “Shixiong! Are you okay? You no longer feel poisoned are you?” He asked.
“Ah…” You recalled an arrow grazing you as you presumably Xiao Bei pulled you with him through his portal and the feeling of being burned. You circulate your qi “No, I’m fine now,”
“Great,” Shang Huaisang sighed in relief then stared at you with dread “Now please calm down Shen-shixiong as he is in the Northern Deseret Palace, arguing with my prince and is very much about to fight him,” As you stare into your junior brother's eyes, a part of you did want to see what would happen but you can see how stress he is and you promised Shen Jiu that you would be there for him.
“Lead the way,” You sighed.
As you entered one of the gardens of the Northern Deseret Palace, you heard swords lashing.
“Oh no!” Yelled Shang Huaisang and he grabbed your wrist to hurry you along. In the middle of a destroyed patch of frosted willowing silver wisterias was Shen Jiu attacking Xiao Bei while Xiao Bei was just defending himself. You quickly notice that Shen Jiu now has a spiritual weapon.
“Ooo has Jiu-er gained Xiu Ya sword?” You questioned.
“YES! After accidentally entering the demon world with my prince and then getting poisoned, you were in a coma for…”
“Ah,” You can guess the sequence of events that happened while you were recovering. “I assumed I was in a coma for a concerning amount of time and you had to go to Jiu-er to help me?”
“Yeah, you were in a coma for almost three weeks. After a week of your poisoning and I as well as my prince having no idea what kind of poison it was, I went to Shen-shixiong. He was not happy, at all, but since it came to you, he agreed to cover for us and figure out the antidote.” Shang Huaisang paused for a moment and spoke more softly. “However, after giving you the antidote and still not waking after a week. I accidentally stumbled upon Shen-shixiong during a private emotional moment as he was screaming and sobbing for you to wake up as well as other things,” He sighed. “I was, of course, caught and somehow was able to comfort him, and he isn’t angry at me anymore but since you are awake now, please calm him down before he rips off my prince’s head,”
“Alright, I’ll go save you dream man,” After digesting Shang Huasiang’s info dump, you agreed to stop the one-sided battle.
Thinking back to this time, you were glad to be poisoned as it was the start of Shang Qinghua and Shen Qingqiu getting closer and later sworn brothers, as well as Shen Qingqiu being comfortable in his role as a senior brother. You were pretty sure Shen Qingqiu was friends with Mobei-Jun by now, even if neither wanted to admit it, as Mobei-Jun would spend time with Shen Qingqiu when neither you nor Shang Qinghua was available. Or it could just be Shen Qingqiu threatening Mobei-Jun to come to learn politics and strategy so that Mobei-Jun won’t rely heavily on Shang Qinghua and overwork your already overworked junior brother.

hello yes i'm that one guy who was asking if people would be interested in svsss x / & gn or male reader fics (also tysm for the comments?? like i was not expecting so much support. i really appreciate it!)
i've decided on writing idea 3 first, the bingge one! ...albeit with a lot of tinkering lol. if you don't know what i'm talking about, feel free check out my last (and first) post.
however, because i am very indecisive and absolutely cannot make many decisions on my own without some guidance or opinion, i would like to ask for a little feedback!! please choose which idea you like more, and i might write that one first.
i feel like the themes in both ideas are pretty similar, though just approached a little differently. i don't really wanna spoil how it'll entirely go ofc.. but there def is more to them, i hope it'll be sorta clear once i present both routes!
i can't promise i will go with the more favored idea, but it will definitely heavily influence my final decision! please don't be afraid to ask any questions, i'll answer :)
if i end up choosing the one you were less interested in, don't worry! remember, this is what i'm going to be writing first. it doesn't mean i won't write the other one too.
route 1:
an enemies to friends to lovers type deal! a slow burn fanfic where you are pretty much the opposite of shen yuan's passive nature, absolutely fuck with luo binghe's plans (at least, the ones you know of..), and slowly find the small, bruised boy hiding under that proud front. will be rated M.
that manipulative bastard, luo binghe, hurt everyone you loved and cared about. he tarnished the sweet gongyi xiao's reputation, seduced your fiance, and shredded the small, remaining pieces of self worth you had left in your heart.
you played right into his clawed hands, believing his charismatic front and pretty lies. you were naive, downright stupid. you and huan hua palace welcomed luo binghe with opened arms after he crawled out of the endless abyss, and because of it, those you cared for suffered.
really, you were so easy to manipulate. if only you noticed earlier. you couldn't do anything. no- you wouldn't do anything. if you weren't such a coward, perhaps this would've all been prevented. this isn't fair for everyone else. why did you get to live, while those who fought back and stood up against luo binghe had to suffer?
the survivor's guilt eats you away every waking moment of your life. and, when that's not happening, your sleep is plagued with nightmares of what could've been.
it's too late. luo binghe is now the almighty emperor of the two realms. he can easily overpower anyone who gets in his way, and especially you.
while you certainly wish to beat luo binghe, you don't hate him.
maybe this is just the softer side of your brain, but for some reason, you can't shake off the empty, miserable look in his eyes. even as he's surrounded by countless of maidens and riches, luo binghe looks as though he he'll never be truly fulfilled.
what is it, luo binghe? do you need more power, more gold? a hundred more women, perhaps? do you regret killing them? do you regret not killing more? why is it that even with your intricate mask, behind it is a hollow shell?
it's strange. you should absolutely detest him, but instead, you pity the king. luo binghe is a man who has everything, yet it seems as though he cannot find any sort of happiness through it.
when you travel back in time - exactly right after the demonic invasion where luo binghe was pronounced dead - you are determined to make things right.
you won't let anyone suffer from his wrath. you'll play your cards smart with that very same poker face luo binghe uses. use your knowledge of the future to your advantage. be smart, all the way from the start.
when luo binghe enters huan hua palace, you are the stronger, better person you were too scared to form into before. "gifted with the knowledge most people can never obtain," the old palace master says. you're an essential part of the sect, whereas you were nothing before. maybe not the head disciple like gongyi xiao, or the child of the master like the little palace mistress, but definitely akin to a secretary in the disguise of an ordinary disciple. someone with very valuable information.
you'll save your dear friend, gongyi xiao. you'll save your fiance, and, hopefully have her be with someone who isn't a manipulative, two-faced asshole. you'll save everyone.
(perhaps you'll save a poor, hurt boy, too. one whose been hiding from his cruel shizun for years, using the face of a proud demon to muffle the sounds of his crying and the breaking of his already cracked heart)
you know luo binghe's advantages. you know of his plans. let's just hope he doesn't find out about yours and change up his too much.
aka, you severely confuse and frustrate luo binghe (why the hell aren't his plans working? who are you? why do you look at him as if you can see right through him?), and luo binghe severely confuses and frustrates you too (why the fuck is luo binghe doing that? that totally goes against what he was supposed to do! hold on, hold on- new plan guys!).
both of you are smartasses who are also, secretly, simultaneously dumbasses going against each other.
route 2:
this'll most likely be rated T, but it may change.
luo binghe stripped you of your very being. you were once someone who was proud and undeniable, and now, you are a person that people only pity and grimace when your name is mentioned.
you hate it. you hate him. you can't even remember what the outside world looks like anymore, you can't even remember that wretched man's face. the only thing that is burned into your mind is his demon mark and those cruel scarlet eyes. the only thing that runs through your head is revenge. the only reason why you're even still alive is because of the glimmer of hope that you'll do the exact same things he did to you.
you fought back against him early, while he was still rising the ranks. continuously, you tried warning people about his capability and evil nature. yet, no one listened to you. and then, it was too late once people realized. fuck! everyone was so stupid, believing his pretty face and lies! you'll get back at him, you'll carve his heart out and present it to his wives, the world, and everything that he has. you worked too hard to reach to where you were before luo binghe destroyed your reputation for daring to step in his way. you went from a mere nobody to a powerful cultivator, and it just all went downhill from there!! for... months? or years? you don't remember anymore - you wished to the heavens for a second chance. you'll correct his wrongdoing. only evil lies in his heart, behind his deceitful, flowery words.
after suffering from a qi deviation, your wish to prevent any of that destruction is granted, and suddenly you've been transported back into the past. way, way before you've even heard of the name... wait, what was his name? fuck, fuck! you don't even remember the outline of that- that monster!
you'll still get back at him, though. you recognize your clothing and the time.. it seems as though you're still just a wandering, rouge cultivator. if your calculations are correct, then you'll have more than enough time to prepare. when you fought back, you were still weaker than him. you'll get stronger and take him down before he can even dare to lay a finger on your hard work.
on your journey to gain even more power, you come across a poor, abused boy. he reminds you all too much of yourself. luo binghe, the orphan says that his name is. your heart can't help but still at it, but it's probably for no reason, right? you're in a little shock after literally going back in time.
how could this small boy with such pure, starry black eyes, hurt you after all? how could anyone hurt such a sweet thing, too? it's a shame how monsters like that man take advantage of people like luo binghe. a white lotus, you mentally nickname him.
he frequently visits you with a wide smile and some lovely tea (where did he get that from? this is some really expensive, fancy stuff. he couldn't have gotten it without stealing it from somewhere really nice, like shen qingqiu's stash, or something... haha, he would never! that pure boy!). you keep on telling luo binghe that he shouldn't miss out on sleep just to say hi, that maybe he should be with his friends instead, too. luo binghe doesn't talk much about his life at the peak, but it's nice to chat with him.
when you realize what's exactly going on, you take him under your wing. if shen qingqiu can't appreciate the little lotus, then you will (you'll put him right under that man on your "revenge" list.. which only consists of them two). perhaps it'll be good to have a successor, a disciple you can pass your teachings down onto. it would be handy to have someone else's help once that monster's actions come into light, after all.
its then you decide, you'll protect the little luo binghe, too. the world is much too cruel, and it'll especially be under that demons' ruling. you won't ever understand how people could become so evil, downright monstrous. you swear on your life, you'll keep that man in your grasps and end his tyranny.
unknowingly, you've already stopped it the moment you held your hand out to that very same monster.
oh, what will you do once nothing happens to you or anyone? once you begin to remember more and more of that man's face and find out just who exactly you've helped?
aka, you're an utter buffoon worrying over that man, while that same man is now just a little guy wanting to please his kinder (and kind of more improper) shizun.
. . .
i've planned a little more for route 1, but i have a pretty good idea for route 2 as well. route 1 will most likely be a little longer than 2 too since it's a slow burn with scheme-y little shits. ever since i posted, i've just been trying to plan out the plots lmao. please leave your thoughts! or not, but thanks for using your time to read all of this lol.
@happycandydinosaur @tuxibirdie @wilczymotyl sorry if you guys expected a full chapter with me tagging you three but i promise after this, i'll (hopefully) have a chapter ready! tysm for supporting my last post :)

CHAPTER 3
In Xuan Ji's opinion, she doesn't whine nearly as often as other people. To be transmigrated, reincarnated, or whatever her current circumstance is. She isn't even sure if she was transmigrated or reincarnated! She is even unaware of her own death! Does she even exist? Wait, of course she does exist. What kind of dumb question is that?? The system claims that she reincarnated, but it gives no indication of how she died. She has been on the phone and in the bus before. Did her bus experience a collision? But shouldn't she experience that pain as other anime and manga characters experienced it as well?
Before rushing outdoors, she hastily put the black blindfold across her eyes. Having learned the ability of "inner-sight," the sight is translucent black, but she can still see herself surrounded. How much better it would have been if she could use eye contacts in the time period she is in. She wouldn't be forced to wear this obtrusive blindfold. It had only been 10 minutes and she already lost 100 points for it, making her account going negative! If she repeats that 100 more times, she will be buried alive!
Spotting Xiyin holding the hairpin and enthusiastically waving it like a young child playing with their toy. She wasn't sure whether to be jealous of the young energy of the female or to act as though she doesn't know the female. It didn't matter since Xiyin approached her without hesitation, approaching her like an adorable kitten that needed its owner to survive. Xiyin positioned herself at Xuan Ji's side and then carefully nudged onto her long sleeve.
"Hm?" To prevent Xiyin from realizing she already knew what the female was about to give her, Xuan Ji pretended to be completely unaware.
"I just purchased you this hairpin, Xuan- Jie Jie. I hope you'll like it," Xiyin stutters inconsolably while looking to the side. Her cheek begins to flush a peachy-color as she struggles to look squarely at Xuan Ji.
"Oh...thanks?" Xuan Ji was uncertain of the original Xuan Ji's response. She also doesn't want to lose any more points.
Walking alongside Xuan Ji, Xiyin nodded but kept her mouth shut as her previous blush subsided. Xiyin presents as a pleasant and attractive young lady with a good body shape who wears light cosmetics. Even though she is only giving an item as a gift, Xiyin appears to admire the original Xuan Ji sufficiently to cause such reactions.
They fell into an awkward silence because neither of them seemed to know what to say to the other. "Any place that you want to visit?" Xuan Ji immediately regretted the word after she had said it. She should have just kept quiet to avoid losing points for speaking in an ooc-style, but her noisy little mouth wasn't much help.
"Anywhere that Xuan jiejie wanna goes, A-yin will follow"
Oh then, that was certainly of no use. Not that Xuan Ji will express her ideas in the open and dash Xiyin's hopes.
Xuan Ji noticed an elderly woman staring at them as though she were waiting or hesitating. When the elderly woman noticed that Xuan Ji was looking at her, she swayed to the side. The woman approached them after gathering the guts to do so and said, "What sect are you two females from?"
"We're not members of a sect", replied Xiyin immediately in response to the query. The elderly woman changes in some way after hearing that. "Is something wrong?" As she kept gazing at the woman though her black blindfold, Xuan Ji asked.
"Nothing. Simply put, I was concerned that I wouldn't have enough money to pay them if they were cultivators from a larger sect."
Xuan Ji replied, "What is it that you need help with?"
"My son is missing ever since yesterday night, I been attempting to ask around yet ..."
"We should assist her, "said Xiyin, pulling on Xuan's sleeves as she scowled in sympathy for the elderly woman and expressed concern for her son. Xuan responded by nodding.
"Please give us the intel on the matter"

me and the devil, walking side by side
Tumblr media
What is the meaning of life? To enjoy it? To live it? Or perhaps the true question to be asked is how to enjoy it. If that’s the case, then you’re going to raise chaos and hell in this new world you were reborn in.
What’s truly stopping you from causing chaos? Humans? They’re mortal like you, putting up ethics and boundaries to ensure the safety of not only other people, (they say), but mostly ensure their own safety. Living is finding happiness, contentment, and satisfaction. Others will say it’s living your life to the fullest!
Now that you thought about it, were you even human anymore? Now that you were reborn, you noticed that you don’t fully have your humanity…but what exactly is humanity? Something that makes one human? Then what does it mean to be human? To be more evolved than animals? To have advanced intelligence? But humans have always retained their animal instincts, causing what humans call ‘Monstrosities’ and ‘Crimes’. If this is truly human, following your instincts and wants, then perhaps you’re the most humane creature ever to exist.
You looked at the ghostly warrior cultivator in bland indifference, head tilted in some interest. Liu Qingge was certainly beautiful, with a delicate, almost feminine face that contrasted with the bulky physique of his body. His lips turned upside-down into a scowl as he looked back at you.
Underneath him is a skeleton with tattered clothes, his actual physical sword, Chen Luan, laid untouched for years.
Your lips quirked as you let out a mocking croon from the back of your throat, circling the ghost. “How very…interesting.” Your foot kicked at his bones, making him snarl at you in return. “How is it that the Famed Warrior of Justice, the famous War god of Baizhan, is the first one to die amongst the Qing generation of Peak Lords?”
When you completed the circle, you smiled at him with your teeth. “Especially that ‘Scum’ Shen Qingqiu—“
“Don’t call him a scum!” Liu Qingge made a hand for his sword, only to realize he didn’t have his spiritual sword with him.
You raised a brow in bemusement, “Why? Isn’t that what you called him all these years?” You taunted, following him when he made a turn away from you. “ ‘The Lecherous Shen Qingqiu’, ‘The Scum Lord’, ‘The Lazy Lord’, isn’t that what you called him in all your years of living in Cang Qiong?”
The man made a sound of gritting teeth at your continued mocking.
Delightful sadism bubbled in your chest as a hollowed laugh reverberated in your chest, “What of the change of heart? War god Liu Qingge?”
His fists, which were clenching the whole time, suddenly released as his shoulders slumped. In a quick second, his whole demeanor becomes one of defeat and guilt. Your interest peaked again, your smile growing wider.
“I…was wrong.” Liu Qingge finally said after those long minutes of silence. “I was wrong about him — everyone at the sect was wrong. But I never thought of seeing the full truth.”
You sneered at him, walking in front of him. “None of you did,” Your fingers twitched in rising irritation as the topic came to this. “You Qing generation just loved to gossip and snark at the latest rumors that you all never tried to investigate the truth. For all your talk about righteousness and justice, you are the last person to be talking about that in this current situation.
As a man in another world said, ‘If a man looks for the sin of other people, then that man has sinned.’”
You stepped back from the ghost, looking at him with narrowed eyes and head tilted back. “Thanks to your martial brother and sisters nonsense, you effectively gave that old coot from Huanhua leverage to use against your sect. And as a result, you lost your strategist.”
“You don’t have to say something that I don’t know.” Gritted the ghost.
You scoffed, “So, tell me what changed your mind?”
“…” Liu Qingge glared at you with all his irritation and anger before spitting out “I followed him after I died, to make sure he didn’t do anything, and finally saw what he actually is like.” At that, his voice became softer, as if the realization still made him in disbelief. “He doesn’t go to the brothels for sexual pleasure, he goes there to sleep. The workers there welcome him as if he was their brother…and he teaches them how to write, paint, and music.”
You clasped your hands behind your back, “So you were wrong about him being a lecher.”
“All of us were,”
“Well, not all of us.”
“…Right.”
You grinned after huffing a laugh, “This will be fun.”
Liu Qingge glared at you, “What will—“
“If I restored your body, will you follow me to explore the plains?”
The ghost looked at you wide-eyed, shocked at your proposal. “What…”
Your lips quirk, “I’m planning to meet the Heavenly Emperor along the way, and possibly fix some wrongs that need to be right.”
At the end of your sentence, your voice became lower and there were hints of garbled sounds beneath it. Liu Qingge looked at you warily, as if getting the hint that you’re not fully human. “Who are you?”
“Ah ah,” You smiled while wagging your finger, like a teacher scolding a student. “The correct question should be,” Your eyes changed color and pupils, ink changed from the moisture that was rolling down your cheeks, and your smile became wider until it was cheek to cheek. “What am I?”
You took delight in the ghost’s horrified and morbidly astonished reaction, retreating your finger before your features rippled back to your human form. “Now, about that offer…”
——
“Ah, it seems more dreary than I imagined.”
“What are you talking about? Have you been living under a rock?”
“Don’t blame me, It took me a while for me to manifest my physical form.”
“A form that’s ever-changing and inhumane.”
“At least I have a human form.”
“Still—“
“Who was the one who gave you the body again?”
“…”
Your lips curled into something similar to a simpering smile, “Don’t frown, that’s just gonna make you unapproachable…well, more unapproachable at this point.”
Liu Qingge huffed, turning away. His body, which you rebuilt with dust and bones, was brand new. His skin didn’t have the scars he had obtained when he was alive, much to his discomfort but to your indifference. Muscular but his stance suggests the experience of fighting. You rolled your shoulders back as you took in the scenery as you made your way to the Huanhua palace.
Where Luo Binghe is, and possibly, Shen Jiu and the harem.
You being a reader of SVSSS, knew of the original timeline and what happened there. You wonder how far in the Post-Original are you; perhaps Shen Jiu is dead right now after swallowing Xuan Su shards…maybe. You haven’t wandered around long enough to go to the villages, your first destination was Cang Qiong since it was the nearest place where your body spawned.
The rest of the time, you were a watcher over Shen Jiu because come on…he deserved better.
A nudge shook you out of your thoughts, making you see the entrance of Huanhua territory, which was the forest of Bailu. Where Tianlang-Jun is sealed. You wonder if his body is still intact or if it decomposed along the events.
You hummed for a moment before pulling Liu Qingge away from the territory. “Hey–!?” The man resisted your hold but proved to be futile. “I thought you were gonna see that demon spawn and save Shen Qingqiu!?”
“I will,” you replied, “But first, let’s go to a nearby village to eat and rest. Your body is still getting used to being alive right now, so take it slow before you get into any scats.”
“I practice inedia so eating is unnecessary–” the warrior urged.
“And you’ve been a ghost for how many years? With no physical body?” You shot back.
Your bickering continued until you made it to a village and went to an inn, you paid for the rooms. Later you watched as Liu Qingge practically inhaled three bowls of congee while you were still eating your one bowl, you grinned smugly. “See what years of having a body does to you? You get to taste food again!”
“Shut up,” Liu Qingge grumbled before downing an entire of his third bowl.
“Liu Qingge, manners.” you chided the warrior, taking a sip from your congee bowl. As you ate, your ears tuned in on the conversation of the residents of the inn, which was a mix of humans and demons.
“The crops are going good this year…”
“Hey, who are the beauties over there?”
“Isn’t that the Baizhan War god!?”
“I thought he was dead–”
“Killed by Shen Qingqiu, in fact!”
“Were they wrong?”
…you thought that they wouldn’t recognize Liu Qingge after being dead for years, yet they surprised you wrong.
“Wonder if this will reach the emperor’s ears…” you muttered before drinking your tea. Liu Qingge let out a satisfied exhale, with four bowls piled up on the side. You deadpanned before exhaling, fishing out your pouch of money. “Be thankful I can pay for this.”
The revived man let out a grunt.
After dinner, you two went to your rooms to retire for the night. It’s been a while since you last slept, having been a transparent spirit for the rest of the journey of the original PIDW. It wasn’t until some entity had granted you abilities that were inhumane, some were familiar with characters that were antagonists from certain entertainments in your old world. And because the ‘story’ ended and you have no system, you could now do anything you wanted in this world!
First, you’ll have to bring Liu Qingge to the palace of Luo Binghe and let him clear up what happened in Lingxi caves and in the brothels, being a witness and all.
Luckily for you and Liu Qingge, you didn’t have to go to the Palace. Luo Binghe and Liu Mingyan came to you…with fucking guards. It caused quite a commotion in the village, they bowed down and looked away in fear with some demons in awe. You and your companion had just exited the inn when the emperor himself and one of his wives entered the village.
You now had a stare-off with the freaking Emperor Luo Binghe himself and his wife, Liu Mingyan, who was looking at her very much alive brother in disbelief. “Brother?”
The said man only glared at her in response making her falter. Ignoring the rising tension, you decided to take a look at the couple. Liu Mingyan was as beautiful as her brother, you could tell as much even with her veil covering her face. Her robes were purple with red which matched her overall aura and color scheme.
When your eyes moved to Luo Binghe, you were almost startled at how he was staring at you, red eyes shining with interest, whether it was your unique appearance or perhaps he sensed that you were not completely human either. Still, he is as beautifully handsome as described in the novel and drawn in the illustrations.
Your attention was grabbed when Liu Qingge shouted, “Killed!? Shixiong tried to save me!”
“What!?” Liu Mingyan stepped back, surprised at the outburst from her brother. You took this as a sign to move the sidelines, as this conversation had nothing to do with you.  Still, it doesn’t stop the sadistic glee when watching the faces of his sister and Luo Binghe morphed into shock and disbelief at the reveal.
Though seeing the crowd you were gathering, you pulled Liu Qingge’s robe to get his attention, “I think we should do this in a more secluded.” You then looked at Luo Binghe, the main man of this finished ‘story’. “Perhaps Junshang would be benevolent enough to let us discuss this in his palace?”
——
The ride to the Huanhua palace was tense, but you ignored it since it didn’t bother you that much. You walked with casual grace when you entered after Luo Binghe and his wife, Liu Qingge followed you with a look that can bury someone 6 feet under. The doors opened for the four of you and demons and humans gathered around with curiosity at the newcomers.
You smiled lips closed at the audience you gathered. Some of Luo Binghe’s wives have also come, one of them being Qiu Haitang…
Perfect for the reveal of the ‘Scum Villain’.
Junshang then sat on his throne with his main wife at his side, on the other side came the famous Sha Hualing with her barely covered and jingling bells. Liu Qingge’s face went from red to green beside you, much to your amusement.
“So,” Luo Binghe said from his place on the throne. “What do you mean by my shizun trying to save you?” He says the word shizun with so much venom you wonder if his words were made of the actual stuff.
“It’s the truth,” Liu Qingge stepped forward, determined to right the wrong he had made. You let him. “As the victim, I’m here to say that Shen Qingqiu didn’t kill me.”
Whispers grace your ears, astonished at the proclamation of the supposed dead Baizhan War god. Your smile soon became full of teeth. Liu Mingyan was unconvinced, “But brother, You and Shen Qingqiu have been bitter rivals for the longest time–he even tried to kill you in that one mission!”
Before they could agree with the supposed evidence, you stepped up laughing. “Well, rumors and pieces of evidence have to be thoroughly investigated before confirming. If you’re willing, will you bring Shen Qingqiu to the throne room, Junshang? Or did you already kill him out of anger?”
The lack of respect towards the Emperor had people looking at you in disbelief, readying for the Half Heavenly Demon to attack you, but as you stared down Luo Binghe, with all glee, joy, and some sort of wrong excitement that made the man wary of you, Luo Binghe relented. “Bring Shen Qingqiu.”
Your smile widened until it was cheek-to-cheek as rounds of gasps sounded in the court. Your veins thrummed at the stirring chaos you’re about to ensue. Soon, the called man was carried in a jar, long inky locks of hair flowing over the jar with limbs cut, and sickly pale skin but the same acid green eyes glared at Luo Binghe. Those same green eyes then looked in shock at the very much alive Liu Qingge.
Immediately, the warrior kotowed in front of the disabled man in the jar, shocking all who were present. “Shen Qingqiu, I have done a great sin by accusing you over and over without understanding the situation. I have run your reputation through the mud and made it a weapon against Cang Qiong. As payment for this sin, I will do anything to—”
You kicked Liu Qingge in the butt, “Apologize later, there will be more to apologize when I show you all later.”
Liu Qingge, for his part, whipped his head and was about to explode over your disrespect when Qiu Haitang screamed from where she was. “ What is that villain doing here!?” her eyes held mad fury.
You just glanced at her with disinterest, “Why, to clear his name, of course.”
You raised a brow when she stomped up to you, “What is there to clear!? That man–” she points at Shen Qingqiu, who looks at her with conflicting emotions while holding his poker face. “--who was a slave taken in my brother and my fiance, had killed and burned everything I had! He’s a monster! A heartless fiend! An immoral—”
“Ah, but that’s the best part, little A-Tang.” you stepped forward, hands clasped behind. “For Shen Jiu did you a service of getting rid of your disgusting family.” Her face grew red when you insulted her family with vitriol. “How dare—”
You laughed at her face, “Oh, poor, sweet, coddled, naive A-Tang. You truly thought your brother was as honorable as he seemed?” You batted your eyelashes mockingly before grinning with sharp teeth. “Oh, how wrong you are. But first…”
You turned away from her to Shen Jiu, walking up to him before kneeling. Slashing your arm, you said to him “Open wide,” before grabbing his jaw and forcing him to open his mouth. Shen Jiu struggled as blood from your arm poured into his mouth, making him drink. You watched him struggle against you before deeming the amount he drank enough, healing your arm before smacking the jar with a loud twang. The jar broke into two, much to the shock of the people, letting Shen Jiu squirm in pain on the floor. He gasped and made strangled noises from his throat.
“Shen Qingqiu!?” Liu Qingge rushed forward to his fallen shixiong but was stopped by you. “What did you do—”
“Just watched.”
Those who were near retreated back when the first limp sprouted out of the nubs where his arms were, shrieking and screaming in horror and fear. The next three limbs sprouted the same manner, flesh from the nubs splattering away and into the people in its path. The moment he had all four limbs back, you willed a nearby cloth to morph and form into a simple robe to wear to cover Shen Qingqiu’s modesty.
You looked down at Shen Jiu, who clutched his head in pain, drool dripping down his chin as his eyes went to you. “What did you do to me!?” His eyes were now lime green with slits for pupils, his skin now deathly pale, fingers sharpened to claws, and when he opened his mouth teeth were sharp as canines.
You ginned down at him, “I suppose in another world, you would’ve been called a demon. But in this world, you would be an anomaly.”
He rasped in response, “Hungry…”
You hummed before turning to a nearby servant, “Get some human meat.”
A slam brought your attention, and you turned to Luo Binghe who looked at you with burning eyes “What are you!? And why would you need human meat!?”
“Junshang, I am a cryptid at best, and as for the human meat…” you tapped your chin. “Well, that would be Shen Jiu’s diet for the years to come in his new species. The creatures I turned him into consume human blood to gain power and sustain their life. Although the demon blood here could also be used for his diet.”
Liu Mingyan’s face drained of color while Sha Hualing wrinkled her nose in disgust. Luo Binghe gritted his teeth.
Liu Qingge drew his sword, “I trusted you! And you made him into a monster!”
You raised a hand at the warrior, “Calm down you brute, it’s up to Shen Jiu if he’s willing to eat it. There are alternatives, but it depends on his will to not eat humans or demons alike.”
Seeing that the human servant hadn’t moved one bit, you took their arm and ripped a wound on it that made them scream in the process. The sound and smell of blood had Shen Jiu whipped to look and drooling at the bleeding mortal. Against the struggles and sobs, you pushed the bleeding arm towards him. “Well, you have a choice A-Jiu. What will you choose?”
The man now turned demon anomaly struggled to retain his wits and common sense, eyes shook with pure hunger while his teeth gritted. You stared at him with patience, waiting for his answer. Finally, A-Jiu turned his head away from the sight of blood. Satisfied, you let go of the sobbing servant’s hand and healed it. “Strong will retain, I see.”
“Don’t ever do that again!?” Shen Jiu snarled.
“I promise,” you smiled before looking at the audience. “Now, shall we get started?”
——
Luo Binghe watched from his throne as the creature that is you summoned thousands of mirror shards to form one shard in place, big enough for all to see.  What are you… he wondered as you held that grin that seemed so carefree. His shizun stood up, his legs shook from the long overdue of being used. His formerly dead shishu helped him.
The Emperor wasn’t sure what was a cryptid, but he knew that you were powerful. Powerful enough to make his shizun into a whole new species. Powerful enough to resurrect his Liu Qingge from the dead. And powerful enough that Meng Mo advised Luo Binghe to not provoke you before this all goes down.
The mirror changed color before it showed a scene, a shack that looked polished and well-built. Once looked inside, it showed a young man in elaborate robes beating a young child that couldn’t be nine years old. A gasp from Qiu Haitang and the resemblance to her confirmed that the young man is in fact her ‘honorable’ brother. Or as ‘honorable’ could be when the emperor watched the blatant abuse that was brought down on the boy. A flash of green from those eyes made Luo Binghe’s gut sink. No…
——
“I didn’t ask you for this…”
You glanced at Shen Jiu, who looked away from you. Liu Qingge stood beside him, ready to catch him should he be unstable again. You narrowed your eyes, “You never tried to defend yourself, even knowing your reputation was in ruins.” A flinch from the warrior. “But that doesn’t mean that I’ll stand for it. You’re not wholly at fault, there have to be faults revealed for the true picture to come whole.”
The anomaly gritted his teeth, “But to display my past for them to see—”
“In other realities, your past would revealed to them at your trial in the Water Prison,” you said with eyes on the shard that displayed how Shen Jiu Qi deviated and killed all the men in the Qiu estate but saved the women and children. “I hate misunderstandings. I hate lies, and I hate pretentiousness. I longed for the faces of the false to despair when they are revealed.”
Shen Jiu didn’t respond when he saw your eyes burned with anger despite your passive and calm disposition, a fire that burned like the one shown in the shard. Sometimes, your form flickered during the storm of emotions in you such as a drip of ink from your head instead of sweat, or when your eyes change color from white to black. It befuddled Shen Jiu before when you were just a mere apparition that appeared before him one night when he was still a slave in the Qiu house.
A glance at Qiu Haitang showed the horror dawning on her face like the sunrise.
“No…no no NONONONO! YOU’RE LYING—!”
A slap resounded.
You sneered down at her with disgust and indifference as a master would to a servant or slave. “Impudent brat.” You said with vitriol.
You then grabbed her by the hair, wrenching a shriek of pain from the woman. “Since you love your ‘dear brother’ so much, I’ll have you reunite with him.”
Crack from the ground before the center of the Throne room started to split into two, from the crack was hellish red light along with arms of bone and rotting skin. The smell assaulted the nose of every human and demon, the screams and shrieks of the dead wailed into the ears of every living creature…
Except you.
Then, amongst the screams and shrieking, a voice that stood out amongst the dead—a coherent voice that could speak—reverbated from the pits of hell. “Qiu Haitang! Bring me Qiu Haitang!” The voice of her brother demanded.
You watched in delicious delight as all the color drained form her face when she realized what you’re about to do. “No…no please! Please! Anything but—“
Ignoring her pleas, you drag her to the crack that opened to hell itself, Qiu Haitang screaming and struggling for her life. Alas, it was futile as you threw her down, her screams echoing in the room, a spectacle that made you known as the Judge and Executor.
As the crack slowly mends together, you grin in satisfaction. “One down, one more to go.”
———
“Where are you taking me!?”
The Old Palace Master, bound by immortal coils, was forced to walk with Mobei-Jun behind him. Luo Binghe was behind you along with the Little Palace Mistress, who was fuming with rage and would’ve whipped you if it weren’t for her husband’s blood parasites, and Shen Jiu and Liu Qingge. Nature made way for you as the Bailu Mountain forest responded to your call.
You ignored the complaining and threats from the father-daughter duo, grinning in pleasure at the sight of a familiar deformed half-snake and half-human creature. “Zhuzhi-lang! It’s been a while!”
The snake who was relax when greeting you, tensed up and went into a defensive position upon noticing the newcomers with you.
You chuckled, rubbing his head in reassurance. “At ease, General. Your cousin along with his wives, shizun, and shush are here for the trial of the old palace master.”
A doubtful look crossed his glazed eyes. You rolled your eyes as you imbued demonic qi into him, letting him transform into his human form. Gasps behind you as you take a leaf from a tree to reform it into a simple robe for the snake general to wear.
“Many thanks, Yichang dashi.” The reserved general bowed in gratitude. You waved dismissively, “Now now, where is your uncle?”
“A visitor by the Great Yichang themselves? Have you gotten your physical form already?”
You walked towards the source where Tianlang-jun's head was sticking out of the mountain, the rocks formed around his neck and multiple talismans slapped around him. “Ah, Tianlang-Jun. It’s been a while.”
“Why it has,” his smile sharpens to one of viciousness and well-hidden anger. “And it seems you have guests.”
You spared a glance at them before  you lookin back at him. “Well, your son with Su Xiyan survived and declared himself Emperor for one.” A strangled noise from Luo Binghe while the Old Palace Master was foaming with rage “Now we’re here for the trial of the Old Palace Master for his crimes against Jianghu and you.”
“What crimes!?” The old geezers daughter shrill voice hurt your ears. “My honorable father never committed any crimes!”
“Hah, that’s where you’re wrong. Brat number 2.”
Palace Mistress’s face contorted into something unpleasant till you interrupted. “First case of order,” you smiled as you walked towards the old master himself, looking down on him with sadistic intentions. “The lechery of the old palace master.”
Gasps from the few servants you brought along with you were heard while protests from his daughter. Shen Jiu furrowed his brow but made no attempt to stop you, Liu Qingge seemed surprised at the accusation.
“What lechery!?” Palace mistress cried.
“His lechery towards Su Xiyan,” you explained. “He had—and still is—lusted after his former head disciple and was driven with jealousy when he found out that she was romantically involved with the Southern Emperor of the Demon Realm, Tianlang-Jun.”
“So that whole thing about overthrowing the human realm was a lie…” Liu Qingge glared viciously at the Old Palace Master. “You had the whole cultivation world seal Tianlang-Jun because of your unrequited love!?”
The said master growled like the animal he is. “You believe the words of this fiend!?”
“I believe everything they said over a lecher!”
You sniggered before looking at Luo Binghe, “I suppose you could say that the Old Palace Master is the reason you ended up as an orphan.”
You spotted his fist shaking.
“Jealous, he imprisoned your mother in the palace while the cultivation world sealed your father. It wasn’t till the Old Palace Master gave her the choice to drink poison that’ll kill demons so she’ll see Tianlang-Jun. By the time she came out…”
“He was already sealed…” he finished hollowly. He then turned to the man who he thought was a family figure now turned into a monster.
Old Palace Master, who saw that everyone believed everything you said, snarled, “How did you know of this!? How—!?”
“I’ve watched,” you replied. “I was also the reason why Su Xiyan was able to deliver Little Luo Binghe safely.”
The old man gave a wild cry and tried to lunge at you but was held by Mobei-Jun. You looked at him with building anticipation, turning to Tianlang-Jun. You walked to his imprisoned state before placing a hand on a seal. Cracks and ridges then formed before the stone around the heavenly demon crumbled to dust. A touch of your hand on his now free body and demonic qi flooded in him, renewing his temple and replenishing his strength. When the dust cleared, his eyes of red released hatred and anger that was directed to the old man in binds.
You placed a hand on his chest before he could move towards the Old Palace Master, “Now now, let me exact his judgment before you can have your fun with him.”
A hand on your wrist and a devastatingly handsome face near yours, “You better make it fast, Yichang.”
Giggling, you turned to the audience around you. “By the crimes of lechery, false accusations, and the death of his own disciple. The old palace master is found guilty. “ You smiled with your teeth, “Usually the punishment would fall on his person…but…”
You turned to his daughter instead, “Perhaps his daughter would like to endure it instead?”
Immediately, she made a move to grab her whip but from the trees, humanoid creatures appeared and grabbed hold of her.  Their ethereal beauty did nothing to deter the palace mistress to try to escape, yelling and screaming. “Let me go! You demonic creatures! Foul beasts—“
“Ah, how rude,” you sneered at her before grabbing her chin and made her look at you. “Now, let’s see how you’ll die.”
Upon looking you saw she was crying tears, wailing in fear. Behind you, her father screamed in rage. Your eyes turned into a gray kaleidoscopic vision to behold, locking her gaze in place as her dark eyes soon turned gray and kaleidoscopic as yours.
Tumblr media
Her posture relaxed into something of defeat and a smile graced her lips. Letting her go, the dryads and you, you watched as she turned to her father with a smile. “Father, it’s beautiful.”
She then took out her whip and wrapped it around her neck, strangling herself with it.
Her father cried in horror as she continued to commit suicide, anybody who made a move to help were stopped by you. You saw the horror, fear, and shock at what’s happening. It wasn’t until the palace mistress turned blue and collapsed did she finally die. Blood spilling from her neck.
You ignored the father who turned insane and glanced at the three Heavenly Demons, “Do as you like with him.”
Luo Binghe twitched uncomfortably at your presence, Xin Mo in your hands as you inspected the blade. Surprisingly, the demonic blade seemed to respond to you quite well, and you don’t seem to be affected by it at all.
Though, while uncomfortable and uncertain of your abilities and whole inhumaneness, he’s certainly grateful for you unveiling the truth.
He learned that he was loved by both mothers, and his father wasn’t as evil as he thought. Though he can’t believe how utterly silly he is. His cousin was easy to tolerate, timid yet deadly when needed.
And there was an ongoing healing process between him and his shizun, monitored by you. You supervised these “Therapy sessions”, as you called it, and became the middleman between them. He got to understand his shizun more and his shizun started to lower his wall of shards. Though you told them it will take a long time before the both of them could fully heal.
Liu Shishu and his sister decided to travel to reconnect and a journey of self-healing. The harem is disbanded but Sha Hualing is still one of his generals.
Mobile-Jun, on the other hand, seemed to take a liking to you. The Emperor doesn’t know if it’s the repeated fights between the two of you or it’s because you interact with him a lot.
Luo Binghe didn’t like that. At all. And he could tell his shizun felt the same. You were the one source of love and safety they ever had and being an orphan and a street rat, they were greedy for that love.
Though, watching you swing Xin Mo experimentally, Luo Binghe decided that it might not be bad if you held Xin Mo instead. It lessens the headache in his skull.
“Have you heard of the Judge? They came out of nowhere. They aren’t human nor demon. They’re an anomaly. They say they’re a king of hell, others say they’re chaos incarnated. But really, cucumber-bro, I imagine that they’re the devil themselves.”

Hello! May i request a Shen jiu (Og shen qingqiu) x male reader general headcanons from svsss? I'm not sure if you write for this character but if you then thank you! If not that's fine feel free to ignore this and thank you!!
Writers Note(s): I love Shen Jiu! I have all SVSSS books and have studied them passionately, and I absolutely enjoy Shen Jiu as a character. If things were different, he'd be a great MC if he had a Mo Ran moment, I believe! I adore Shen Yuan and Shen Jiu a lot!
Tumblr media
Info on Reader: Reader is presumed AMAB but I tried keeping it open for all Masc Readers. The Reader was not given a backstory starter (like a childhood friend or Sect colleague) so I chose something in-between. I kept Reader as ambiguous as I could!
Info on Timeline: This bounces around, but it does spoil his fate in the original PIDW. I did not follow the original plot in this, so a good ending is possible (?).
Fujoshis and Fem Readers DNI || Enjoy!

Shen Qingqiu was known amongst the other Sect Leaders in unfavorable light most of the time, with only the Sect Leader being able to get audience with him and hold him in a better light. Shen Qingqiu was untouchable to some, and something to aim at for others...
But to you, he was something of a mysterious enigma who made more sense the closer you get. His aloofness can melt at any moment, if only you were the right person. His nights usually aren't shared, until he's absolutely comfortable.
Shen Qingqiu was first and foremost all about bettering himself, as he holds himself to high standards, and don't think you're getting out of it either!
Getting together with him means you've seen past his lies and are willing to work with him after he gives into your persistence, and maybe you two might have fallen into each other by accident. With his natural distaste for men, it's a wonder he even allowed you to grab his fan arm to stop him from throwing said item in anger after Liu Qingge fought him in your presence.
It's also a shock to Shen Jiu's when he lets you embrace him slowly during the snowy holidays, he almost... almost likes it! Of course, when in a relationship later, he regrets swatting you with his fan. But it just happens like that...
No matter how you meet or who your lineage is to, he will hold you to higher standards then you yourself hold, in his own way. If you're studying a topic and doing research for a field of some kind, he'll push your writing to be as precise and persuasive as possible. If you're a fighter, he'll be all over your form and make sure your in as top shape as possible.
Getting into his distrust for men: he's not open right away. He can't magic away his feelings and he does keep you at arms length when your relationship is hitting complicated levels of pining, but he does try. He does make pining difficult and loud, such as the time you both turned to each other and were close to kissing... before Shen Jiu took a swipe at you. (Not his proudest moment, Shen Jiu admits.)
He repays loyalty and honesty with trust, and he's willing to give you wiggle room to start if you can prove you're not in his life to take his independence or to hurt him. He's very loyal to a fault, you later learn, and you almost fear that loyalty to you might get him hurt if something happened to you.
The true way to get him slowly into physical touch is to do his hair up or to allow him to initiate touch first over time. Touchy individuals can ask for consent to sit on stools while he tied his outfits together to do his hair, and he'll obviously critique how it came out (he will fix it if it's bad, but he'll make you watch so you can try again later). For people who don't want to push his boundaries by any means, it's easier to allow Shen Jiu to grab for you or take your hand first. If he wants, he will. He's very assertive.
Definitely is the type to try something romantic, and if it falls flat, will take it back and be a little shit about it. If he tries feeding you a dumpling and you get surprised and don't take his silent offer, his face will heat up in embarrassment and he'll eat it himself before turning away. His ears go red and he ignores you if you try to get him to try again.
... best way to tease him after that, would be to do it back to him while smiling either sweetly or smugly at him. If you're lucky, he might take a bite and let you have the win. If you've been a little shit as well, you'll probably get a cold shoulder and a small lecture on gratefulness.
Definitely will dress you the best and make sure you're not too out of sorts. If you're a rough sleeper then every morning is a grooming session and you're getting up early so he can groom you. If you're not as messy waking up, he still will do your outer robes and maybe your makeup.
A guilty pleasure of his that he'll deny for eternity (or at least years deep into the relationship) is that he's weak for laying on others' chests. Being alone hasn't been so bad when locked in the brothels, but it wasn't liberating as he stews in his depressing circumstances and thoughts. Being on your chest, fully clothed in nightwear by the way, he will be very stiff until you rest first and leave him awake. Rubbing his back and kissing his head will be brownie points, but just hearing your heartbeat and steady breath is... something else. It isn't so lonely.
Definitely flaunts you around after the long, long trial-and-error phase of your relationship and Yue Qingyuan is the only one who sees the humble-ish part of himself. After his entire history of disdain for men, you and Yue Qingyuan are the only ones who get past this in a long while. Shen Jiu, deep down, hopes you and Yue Qingyuan can get along somehow.
Also, Ning Yingying is sort-of your kinda adoptive daughter with how she'll act with you around Shen Jiu. He was her shizun first, and she'll hold that over your head as she asks you if you want her help securing his free time for dates. She definitely likes you if you treat Shen Jiu like the apple of your eye, and might kick her feet happily if she sees you two together happily. If you're alone while Shen Jiu is in the vicinity, she'll whine that her shizun is all alone and you should go to him.
Ning Yingying is your best wingman and her opinion of you is key to how fast Shen Jiu let's you into his life.
Definitely, you can change the ending he gets with having him hold back and getting to the roots of his issues. He can be strong, he can get above what he's been born with, his wrath (which never really leaves him, only goes into new outlets) doesn't need to go to students of promise. It's not too late to learn new things when you're by his side, and it'll be hard work, but he's also up to trying.
