Clint ends up snotty and wheezy after his time face-down in the snow, so Matt takes care of him. CW: Illness (non-vomiting), reference to previous injury.

As I often did, I rolled contentedly into the warm space left by Matt’s recently-vacated position, stretching out luxuriously and inhaling deeply to seek the scents of this morning’s breakfast. Or rather, I tried to. My nose, it appeared, was no longer simply swollen with injury – but also entirely blocked and stuffy, the skin either side aching as I attempted to breathe. “Matt!” I called out pathetically, my voice hoarse, half-rising before slumping back to the pillows with a weak groan. Natasha always told me I was prone to bouts of melodrama when I was afflicted, but it wasn’t my fault – breathing was hard enough at the best of times, let alone when I felt like death. He barrelled through the door, half-stumbling over his own feet, eyes wide and panicked. “What happened? Are you okay?” I couldn’t help but smile at his head casting about wildly as he used his senses to read the room, frowning infinitesimally when he found no intruder. “… Clint? What’s going on?” “I’m sick,” I whined, pulling the sheets up to my chin as I shivered dramatically.He crossed to my side immediately, resting delightfully cool fingers on my forehead as I sighed. “You are a little warm…” “I’m freezing,” I replied, pouting theatrically. “… And also boiling.” “You have a bit of a fever,” he noted, pushing my hair back gently. “You’ll be okay, sweetheart. It’s just a bad cold.” “I’m dying.” His lips twitched minutely as he leaned forward to kiss my forehead, fingers shifting to cup my jaw. “I’m make you some toast. Tea?” “Hot chocolate,” I muttered, my voice soft and sullen - but my irritation garnered no response beyond a fond chuckle, the bedroom door pulled halfway closed behind him.

He settled me against his chest tenderly as I ate, unphased by the rapidly-growing pile of snotty tissues beside us. “I’m disgusting,” I whined, nuzzling against him, a slight pang of illogical guilt sparking in my chest. But he only kissed my head, holding me tighter to him. “You’re as beautiful as ever, honey,” he replied simply, tugging the hood of his swiped jacket lower over my forehead gently. “Very cute.” I shook my head fiercely, earning a soft smile and an inclination of his head. “Do you need to call somebody?” “Like who?” “I don’t know – Natasha? Fury? Whoever you call when you’re too sick to work,” he answered, shrugging, and I scoffed as I forced myself upright. “I’m an Avenger, Devil. There’s no such thing as ‘too sick to work’.” He raised an eyebrow as I looked to him, humming in amusement and disbelief. “Clint… You can barely breathe. I don’t think you’re up for chasing down criminals right now, do you?” A low growl resounded in my chest, leaning forward to snag my binder from the foot of the bed – but any objections I had were swallowed as I weaved alarmingly, the muscles in my forearms trembling. With a soft sigh, he pulled me back against him, my weak body far too exhausted to put up a fight. “Natasha?” Slowly, stubbornly, I nodded, and he offered me my cell. I’d barely fired off a quick text before the device buzzed violently, her name flashing across the screen. He slid it from my fingers, allowing me time to object, and answered the call as I half-pivoted to watch him. I’ve gotta admit… I do love how he knows I’m far too tired to even try to make out a call via my hearing aids. “Hi, Natasha. Yes, yes, he’s okay. Just a little under the weather. A cold, I think – a nasty one… No, no, I don’t think so… Maybe… That would be very nice, actually. I think he would appreciate it... No problem. Yes. Yes, I’ll see you then. Thank you, Agent Romanoff.” He hung up as my brow furrowed in confusion, offering me a soft smile. “Nat asked me to tell you to take it easy, and thanked me for making sure you didn’t do anything stupid, like try and go to work.” I blushed as he smiled, his lips skimming against my forehead. “Apparently you’re a soggy, snotty nightmare when you’re sick…” My blush deepened, and I frowned, shaking my head. “I’m not that bad…” “Well, either way, you’ve been ordered bedrest. So… How about you get some more sleep, and I’ll wake you in a few hours with some soup?” Despite myself, I couldn’t help but sigh contentedly at the thought, curling closer to his chest. “Fine, if you insist…”

By the time I stirred again, the room was softly lit by the bedside lamp, the curtains drawn, and a fluffy blanket was draped over my balled-up form. With a weak whine, I stretched my cramped limbs, frowning at the cool sheets around me. “Looking for Matt?” I sat up sharply at the voice, wincing at the pain in my head from the motion, grumbling quietly when I found green eyes in the dim light. “Nat? What the hell are you doing here?” She snorted once, moving to sit by my feet, inclining her head towards the door. “Came to drop off something for you… Matt’s probably already heating it up. The man really does hear everything, huh? He opened the door before we even reached it.” “We?” I prompted, brow furrowing, and she pinkened minutely. “Steve and I. I- He was at my place.” I raised an eyebrow, grinning weakly, and her blush deepened. “Going well then?” With a fond eye roll, she jostled my leg. “Yes, Barton. It’s going well.” She sighed happily, an uncharacteristically soft smile crossing her face. “… He’s good to me.” “I’m glad,” I replied, the sincerity of my tone somewhat undercut by the rasp and crack of my voice. “… So. What did you bring me?” “You’ll find out soon enough!” she laughed, adjusting my blankets and covering me more thoroughly. “I’m pretty limited in how I can help, but I figured… Well, maybe this would offer you some comfort. We all know you’re a whiny git when you’re sick.” I pouted theatrically, but she only snorted. Natasha had known me far too long to care about my dramatic displays – she knew, as I did, that despite my current discomfort and grumpiness, I’d be absolutely fine in a few days. As if on cue, the door opened, and Matt came in carrying a steaming bowl. I recognised the dish immediately by the smell, and turned to Nat with a broad grin. “Goulash?” Hungary was hell – spending three days in a freezing, abandoned warehouse waiting for evac with two badly dislocated shoulders wasn’t exactly my idea of a vacation – but she’d headed off despite the danger to find me something to eat, carefully tipping the street food down my throat without complaint, even as her own stomach rumbled pointedly. I’d developed a fondness for the dish ever since, reminded as I was of her caring and considerate nature. “What else?” she grinned, meeting my gaze as I took the bowl gratefully. “It’s just about the only thing I know to get you when you’re hurting.” We sat in silence for a heartbeat, each lost in the memories of that mission – one that was, by all accounts, a shit show, but made irrefutable changes to our relationship and solidified her status as the most important person in my life.

The goulash was just as delectable as it was every time she blessed me with it, and Steve clapped me on the shoulder before they left, wishing me a speedy recovery and promising to take good care of my partner during my absence. Matt settled down beside me when I recommenced my shivering, bundling me against his chest even as my body turned clammy with sweat, unable to sit by and watch me tremble, his fingers brushing my hair back from my forehead as I coughed and sniffed pathetically. He spend all evening in bed with me, reading aloud from one of his braille law books – the only thing he had to hand, reluctant to leave my side to seek something more recreational. “You can read non-braille books… Why do you bother with the braille editions? They’re always a nightmare to find…” I murmured sleepily, interrupting his soft explanation of diminished responsibility in criminal law and making him kiss my head gently. “It takes far less effort to read braille. In much the same way as you could wear your hearing aids constantly – it makes life easier for you, in some ways, but it’s also intensely draining, and sometimes, it takes more energy than you’re willing to give to the task at hand.” I nodded once, and no sooner had I become aware of the low ache in my head than his fingers cupped my jaw, raising my chin a little to meet my gaze. “… May I?” he murmured, hands shifting to my ears. Nodding again, I closed my eyes in relief as he slipped my hearing aids free, resting peacefully in the resultant silence my apparent ‘disability’ offered to me. He gently guided my cheek back to his chest, and I smiled myself as I realised he was continuing to speak, the rumble of his voice under me acting as a pleasing comfort as sleep nestled me close, warm and content despite the ache in my sinuses.

🌸🍀 Hello and welcome to our (first) Flufftober Spring Edition 🌸🍀

SURPRISE 😁

Yes, we've decided that one month of the year simply isn't enough anymore! So we would like to fill two weeks in March with as much fluff as possible 🥰 for that to happen, we present you with 14 prompts, some of them neutral, some very much sping-themed.

How does this work?

Pretty much like our regular Flufftober event in October, so you'll find all the common rules and info below the cut. Contrary to the big event though, this one here only runs for two weeks instead of the entire month, and we set the date from March 11th to March 24th! So prompt one is NOT supposed to be posted on March 1st but instead on March 11th! Prompt two is for March 12th, prompt 3 for March 13th, and so on...

Since this is a smaller prompt list, you also won't find any prompt extras to switch these out with, sorry. Maaaybe if this event is a success, we'll think about changing that in upcoming years 😉

(Due to previous asks, we made sure to add more points to this section - while they're not new rules, they're new to this list, so you'll find them colored green)

No inc*st or p*dophilia - we can’t keep you from writing it or creating art for it but it won’t be reblogged. No inc*st: This rule does not apply to distant cousins and such, as you might find in the LotR fandom (or basically in all of European Monarchy). The line we draw is at direct blood relations (siblings, (grand)parents, kids) and/or legal guardianship. No p*dophilia: This rule does not rule out fandoms that feature teenagers such as Harry Potter, Heartstoppers, Hunger Games, etc. It also doesn't mean you can't write about their time together as teenagers! It's aimed at ships in which one is a minor and the other is not - but since even that has grey areas, the rule is this: if you keep it SFW, all is good and allowed, we don't care; if it turns NSFW, be mindful of the legalities of the world/society/times your characters live in.

No hate or ship bashing - we’re all different and we all love different things. As long as it doesn’t go against rule #1, it’s allowed.

Tag correctly! Trigger warnings (including cheating!), ships, ratings, (pure) smut, etc - it’s all fine as long as you tag it.

There’s absolutely no word count restriction, write as little or as much as you like.

In regards to art, anything goes: drawings, paintings, collages, mood boards, gif sets, videos, playlists… the sky’s the limit (though not really…). If you would like to create a podfic, the fic you're using does not have to be new - your creation will be new!

You can mix and mash different mediums however you like, be it within one prompt or on different days.

While we can’t force you to write fluff or create fluffy art, please try to keep in mind that this is a fluff event 😉 that, of course, doesn't mean you can't combine it with angsty/whumpy prompts - hurt/comfort is absolutely welcome!

You can start creating as soon as you see this - but please refrain from posting before the respective day.

If you post early, we will schedule your post for the correct day; if you use multiple prompts in one creation, we will post on the earliest day you used.

You can participate on as many days as you like, even if it’s just one; you can also create multiple entries for the same day.

You can replace as many original prompts as you like with our prompt extras; you can also combine them with the original prompts or create for them in addition, that's completely up to you.

It’s okay to write one story/a series for all the prompts.

You do not have to stick to one character, ship, or even one fandom - switch as often as you like to or even write for multiple ships for one day.

The ship does not have to be a romantic one! Friendship and family feels are more than welcome (but this is not a way to get around rule #1!)

Original works as well as OCs in fandoms are welcome! But please make sure to mark these clearly, either in the tags or the post itself. We're not familiar with all fandoms (though we're definitely learning a lot!), so we're not always sure what might be an OC and what might be such an unknown side character not even Google can find them...

Reader insert fics (for example "character x reader") as well as RPFs are absolutely allowed.

Other languages are also welcome - just make sure to clearly mark the day and fandom so that we can still easily reblog.

This event can be combined with other events as long as the other event allows it.

Late entries are always welcome, even if it is months or years later.

Ectoberhaunt 2023: Science VS Magic

Dear Phandom new and old, sorry for the delay but this here is our 2023 theme and prompt list! Once again we've changed it up a little to make it a little easier on all of us, and to invite fun and mayhem Phandom wide! Prompts are once again Monday-Friday, with Friday being singular prompts, and weekends being (mostly) free as catch up days. The only real change is our new 'isekai weekend' on the 21st and 22nd, with two different sub prompts for the days. Isekai is a subgenre of anime in which a character ends up in a different place or world all together. It literally translates to 'otherworld'! The two prompts for this weekend are 'past prompt', where we want to see the Phandom use a prompt from either of our previous calendars. The other is 'portal shenanigans'. We highly encourage you to create crossover content and AUs you've wanted to play with. As always, our last prompt day is October 24th to make way for the Ectober Week event. This means our free days are the 1st, 7th, 8th, 14th, 15th, with the 25th-31st being @ectoberweekofficial's time to shine. Since no one else is doing it as far as I know, I am deciding to host an Inotan Week for 2023!!!! I came up with the prompts all myself and of course, this is open to any and all art forms, whether it's stories, drawings, moodboards, etc.!!! And there's no restriction on genre or rating or anything like that, either!!

Inotan week is from October 24th-30th, but if anyone wants to use this list outside of those dates, then go ahead!!

I'll just be using the simple tag #inotan week 2023 or if you prefer, #inotanweek2023. Please spread the word to all of the lovely inotans!!!

Welcome to the fourth annual installment of Visions of Temptation - the multifandom kinktober content creation challenge hosted at my blog.

You can start working on them any time from right now up until during ace week, but if you're comfortable sharing them be sure to schedule or save them for the date and either @ me here at @acepodcastweek, or tag them with #ace podcast week, which I'll check daily up until November 1st.

You watch as Aizu crawls into bed, the mattress dipping in beneath her weight. “It's been getting cold out.” You mumbled, resting your head on her shoulder.

“I know.” 

You stay quiet for another moment, waiting for her to continue— To tell you what you want to know without actually saying the words.

"It's been six months." She finally relented, shifting her position so shes rested on her side and was facing you. Prompting you with the question "Are you really still thinking about that?"

"How could I not?"

"Because you have everything you could ever want here, why are you so focused on the little things like what's happening out there— or if your friends kiss you?"

"Not freedom."

Quiet befalls the both of you, the weight of those unspoken words hanging heavy in the air. You could feel Aizu's gaze piercing through you, searching for any sign of weakness or hesitation. She leaned in closer, her warm breath tickling your skin as she whispered, "But what is freedom without love? Without someone who understands and supports you?"

"Do you? Do you actually understand me? I mean- can't help but wonder if you even actually love me, if all of this" You sit up and gesture to the modest bedroom around you, its familiarity suffocating. "Just some attempt to covet after me." She doesn't respond, at least not immediately. A soft sigh escaping her as she let's a hand cup the side of your face and force eye contact between the two of you, dark brown eyes piercing through your own.

"Whether it's love or some deep rooted obsession I had since the moment I found you, I still care about you." She mumbles tempted to say more, but instead choosing to hold back.

"Please don't get all sappy with me." You groan, throwing your head back against the pillows. "You know I'm only stuck here because of you." You shoot back, though your tone not as hostile as your words would suggest.

"I know." She scoffed, "You don't always have to hold that against me, I mean- Can't you lighten up at least a little? I mean, I don't think that's something you want going into Christmas."

"It's already Christmas?" You practically shout, sitting back up in your bed. "I thought it was October-"

"But it's not October, like how it's not Christmas... At least not yet, Christmas is tomorrow." You stared at her, mild frustration building up in you. "And you didn't think to tell me earlier?"

"I saw no reason, as to why. And I figured it'd be a nice surprise." She shrugged, "Plus I waited last minute before buying gifts so... I still need to wrap them up." She shrugged, "C'mon, just go to bed you won't miss anything and I'll wake you up early. Promise."

You stare at her for a moment a little frown in your face but eventually relent and lay your head back down, Letting your eyes flutter shut as Aizu's gentle touch on your face lulls you into a peaceful slumber.

The next morning, you woke to the sound of soft music playing from the living room. Rubbing the sleep from your eyes, you followed the sound and found Aizu sitting on the couch, surrounded by colorful wrapping paper and ribbons strewn about, Her hands covered in bandages and a pair of scissors sat next to her. It always amazed you how horrible she is with cutting things but has no problem with them during training.

"There you are." She huffed dusting her pants off, "Sit down, you can eat later so just- sit." She ordered, practically shoving you to the mat on next to the Christmas tree with her light little pushes.

"So... What's up with the amount of gifts?" You prompt, it wasn't a stretch to believe all of them we're for you— God knows how much money this woman has from the weekly donations alone— but it was still worth asking.

"Variety, that and my sisters are coming over tonight and I want an excuse to show my lovely pet off." She nonchalantly says slightly shrugging.

"C'mon, open them any one will do." She purred, Huffing a little sigh, you pulled away and refocused on the nearest present to your right. It was long and thin, but larger then a box that would hold a necklace, so you weren’t sure what could be inside. While you were distracted by the gift in hand she was more focused on something else.

Sitting behind you she let her hands wander beneath the dark red shirt you wore, letting them rub comforting circles onto your sides. You couldn't help but lean into her touch, even as your mind was preoccupied with the mystery gift in front of you.

Twist An Episode Day!

-Basically, it's take any episode of Clone Wars, Bad Batch, anything the clones are in and twist it so the CLONES are the ones coming out on top. Do something to an episode so that it's the soldiers fighting, not the corrupt leadership, who benefit. Preferably something a little out there, a lil spooky, but it can be whatever you want. Use the extra day so that for once, it's the clones winning.

I LOVE autumn and Halloween, and to add to my already massive workload, I’ve decided to bring back last years Halloween event! Below are some autumn/Halloween themed prompts. Under the title there is a short description (?) That doesn't really make sense but pretend it does. You can send as many requests as you like, but each request has a max of 2 characters. If you ask for 2 characters the scenario will be shorter than if you ask for just 1.

1) pumpkin carving!!

~ carving pumpkins with your s/o! Will you go to a pumpkin patch, or buy from the store?

2) apple picking

~ going to an apple orchard and picking apples with your s/o!What are you going to do with all the apples? Bake them into a pie? Or maybe for some apple bobbing?

3) baking Halloween treats

~ baking with your s/o!! Who are you baking the treats for? Will it burn, or be perfectly golden?

4) Halloween decorations!!

~ It's October, so it's time for some spooky decor!!! Will your s/o be a stubborn perfectionist, or completly chaotic?

5) Scary movies!!

~ is your s/o able to handle a few horror movies? Or, are YOU able to handle them?

6) autumn walks!!

~ walking along a tree lined street, with the crisp golden autumn leaves dancing around your heads. Where will you and your s/o go? Who will you meet?

7) reading together!

~ sitting beneath a tree, both of you reading in comfortable silence. Is your so quiet, or trying to distract you? Will you get your book finished or end up distracted?

8) meeting trick or treaters!!

~ domestic fluff!! You and your s/o are getting ready for the arrival of trick or treaters!

9) Costumes!!

~ what is your so dressing up as? Matching costumes? Or do they not even want to dress up??

10) Bonfires!!

~ going to a bonfire with your s/o? Perfect! A cosy way to spend the night . Are you with friends, family or just the two of you?

11) Fireworks!!

~ You and your s/o going to see the fireworks light up the night sky. The colourful bursts contrasting against the dark sky is perfect for a late night picnic

12) Visiting a haunted house / amusement park

~ will your s/o get scared, or will they put on a brave face? Find out in the house of horrors!

13) Going to see the fnaf movie !!

~ self explanatory…

14) Ghost Hunting!!

~ Will you and your s/o catch some paranormal activity? Will it spook you, or make you laugh? Will your s/o faint at the sight of a ghost, or will they stay strong?

The only changes to last years one is the fandom list is considerably reduced, and there are two new prompts. Same rules as for a normal request applies!

Clarke Griffin Appreciation Week 2023!

Hey Clarke Kru! It's been a while since Daily Clarke Griffin has had an event, don't you think? Well, it's time to change that! We're bringing Clarke Griffin Appreciation Week back for its third year! As always, the event will run from October 24th to October 30th. (We start on Eliza's birthday and end the day before Halloween, it's the perfect time to celebrate Clarke, not to mention it's her birth month too!)

As we've done before, a list of prompts have been selected for each day to give you some inspiration for what you create for the week! Like we have said in the past, this event is hosted for all types of content creators, whether you make gifs or graphics or moodboards or videos or fic, we try to pick out themes we think will work for everyone. Check them out below!

Prompts:

Day 1: Favorite Look — For our first day we'd love to see your favorite Clarke outfit/look! Do you love her classic season one outfit? Maybe you like the black and blue outfits of season two! Or maybe give a nod to her temporary outfits like the Ark flashback or one of her dresses? Maybe you think her short hair could use some more appreciation, or you could even make a compilation of all her different hairstyles throughout the years!

Day 2: Favorite Underrated Friendship — We've done favorite friendship/dynamic, but what about a pairing that you think deserved more love? Maybe you wished we got a lot more out of the Clarke and Wells relationship. Maybe it's another one of the delinquents like Miller or Harper. Or what about Clarke and Roan? There's tons of duos to choose from, tell us your fave underrated relationship!

Day 3: Color — For this day we want to challenge all of your beautiful creative minds by channeling color! Whether that be one single color that makes you think of Clarke or a whole plethora of colors by making a rainbow edit! You could even use a color palette generator for some inspo if you want! Anything goes!

Day 4: Lyrics & Poetry — We love seeing things like this in the fandom and we want to see some more! Find a quote of some sort, whether it comes from a song or a poem or even somewhere else, and let it inspire you into creating something beautiful to celebrate Clarke! This could be in the form of gifs, moodboards, fanart, even a songfic! Whatever you want to create, we want to see!

Day 5: Bi Pride — It's not Clarke Griffin Appreciation Week without bi pride day! As always, we'd love to see all the bi love whether it's with a bi flag inspired gifset, a moodboard with cute bi aesthetics, maybe you could even use some lyrics from your fave bi musician as inspo! (Gentle reminder that this day is about bi positivity, we're here to celebrate Clarke's role as a bi leading character!)

Day 6: Halloween — The holiday is right around the corner and we'd love to see some fun and spooky ideas! You could do something orange and black themed, you can make an AU edit like Clarke as a witch or a werewolf! Maybe a manip of what you think Clarke would dress up as. You could also do some spooky horror-inspired editing if that's your thing. Even a Halloween drabble if you feel like writing instead. We hope you have fun with this one!

Day 7: Free Day — As always, we're going to end the week by giving you free rein to do whatever you like for the final day! If you have an extra idea or something you've been meaning to post, now's the chance to do it! It can be funny or shippy or completely AU or even just another compilation of your favorite Clarke moments! It's the last day so we want to see what you love to make!

Ectoberhaunt 2022: Order & Chaos

What's this? Two themes working together? Why, yes dear Phandom, this year the opposing sides of our theme will be working together against... foes? We changed it up a little and decided to do prompts only Monday-Friday and left the weekends open as catch up days for you, the creators (and for us on the mod team!). And just like last year, our event ends on the 24th to make way for the Ectober Week event!
