It’s just food! 😁 All foods supply us with energy we need to survive, BUT we can still make better food choices. - Instead of focusing on certain foods being good or bad, it can be helpful to think of them on more of a spectrum from better 🥦 to worse.🍕 - How do you determine which foods are better or worse? Chances are, you already have an idea. - Let’s say you make a pit stop at a gas station in the middle of nowhere on a long drive. Your food options are limited to: pre-made sandwiches and a fruit cup, various snack food choices, and doughnuts. What would be the better food choice in this situation? - Better food choice: Sandwich and fruit cup ——————> Worse: Doughnuts and snack foods. - What makes this a better choice? - Less processed, more nutrients and fiber, higher in protein, will keep you feeling full longer. - You don’t have to turn your whole diet upside down in order to make progress toward your goals.
