it's really frustrating that if my friend draws his monk with like extreme cut chiseled abs and I draw my fighter built like a rugby prop people will think I'm the one doing unrealistic fanciful stylization or wish fulfillment

You were not in the best mood and it showed.
The people who woukd usually greet and talk to you seem to avoid you because you looked like you didn't want to be bothered. If the look on your face didn't give it away, your hastened pace and rigid body language absolutely did.
See, you weren't having a bad day. You were actually on the verge of an emotional breakdown. It all started about a week ago when your group of friends talked about going for a night out, bar hopping or clubbing or something and they talked over you completely. One person actually had the decency to ask your opinion directly while the others only said things like 'oh she wouldn't like that' 'that's so not (y/n)' 'she'd just be in the corner being a bummer' and more. While you do realize they were just joking around and trying to be funny, it hurt you that they'd just talk FOR you. Sure, you really didn't like their plans but it HAD been a while since all of you met up and hung out.
So imagine your surprise to see your friends posting a picture of their drinks on their social media accounts.
You stood frozen in the middle of the grocery store when you saw one of their Instagram stories and you even had to sit in a corner as you scroll through your group chat that had been practically dead for 2 days, wanting to see if you missed any updates because as far as you know, they were only talking about a plan and not making actual plans. Now you know why those bitches were so fucking silent.
"Well, well, well, if it isn't 703," Wooyoung called, snickering to himself as he sidled up next to you who was waiting for the elevator. Usually, you wouldn't mind the younger guy because you had been used to his voice. How can you not? The first day you saw him was when he moved in for college. You had just finished your first week of internship and he had accidentally bumped into you. Literally, he dropped a thermos on your foot which prompted you to cry in front of a very confused and panicked 17 year old Wooyoung. Though he was unsure, he sat his boxes aside and just sat there while listening to you rant about how he shouldn't grow up, get out of college, and just go back to his parents' house because working and being independent was so overrated. Rather than focusing on how you were spewing your guts to a complete stranger, Wooyoung was more focused on why a 20 year old sounded like she had gone through 4 divorces and a public scandal.
It was odd how you were able to be vulnerable with him and it was even more odd to find him in front of your door that night with two packs of ramyeon and a huge grin on his face. He confessed he had bothered approximately every apartment on floors 1-6 and half of floor 7 looking for you because he wanted to make sure you were okay. You should've been embarrassed that a guy who's practically a child had to come and comfort you but you didn't. He made you feel comfortable.
Unlike now.
"Go away Wooyoung, I'm not in the mood," you sighed, shifting the grocery bags in your hands slightly. Wooyoung didn't listen, however, instead, he leaned his shoulder on the wall and ducked his head to meet your eyes which you avoided, "I thought you would've been busy with your friends tonight or something. I had to rethink of a new plan to make a move on you!" He teased.
The mention of your friends and hanging out, your blood boiled and your grip on the grocery bags tightened. "Wooyoung," you warned, jaw tightening as you felt your eyeballs burn. "I'm just saying, I thought my sexy little noona would've been out and about," he grinned innocently (despite the words he used).
You dropped your grocery bags and turned around, making way to the stairs. "Whoah, wait!" Wooyoung grabbed your hand and turned you around, "What's wrong?" He said with furrowed eyebrows, genuinely confused as to why you acted that way. He was even more confused when you yanked your hand off his grip and saw tears welling in your eyes.
"You can seriously shove whatever it is you think of me down your throat, Wooyoung," was all you said before you trodded upstairs to your floor.
It was a mistake for you to do that because once you finally made it, you were panting and the blurriness in your eyes was not only caused by your tears but also from the exercise. So you weren't sure if the sight of Wooyoung in front of your apartment was real or a hallucination. He even had your groceries in his hands.
"Go home, Woo," you sighed, sniffling as you fumble for your keys in your bag. This time he wasn't as vocal, only shrugging until you opened your door and slipped in together with you despite your clear expression of annoyance but you still let him in. You both were silent as you removed your shoes and settled your things, Wooyoung helping put things away which was how he noticed you buying your favourite cereal and milk, a comfort "dinner" for whenever you felt like your life was on the verge of tipping into pure chaos and you just don't have any time and energy to give a fuck about crap like dinner. "I'm not going to entertain you, Woo," you stated, voice cracking slightly as tears welled up in your eyes again all the while you tried to busy yourself by putting things away.
You hadn't noticed it initially but when you turned to kick him out again, you saw him with a bowl of your cereal and a soft smile on his face. "If what you need is me out, then I will go but not until I see you eat," he stated, putting the bowl on your counter and sauntering over to pull you so he could sit you down to eat.
In your head, you knew how ashamed you were for needing Wooyoung who's around 3 years younger than you to take care of you. But it felt nice to be tended to for once. Amongst your friends who were around the same age as or older than you, you were always expected to keep things together because they don't really have the time or energy to deal with what they labelled as "personal bullshit". Or maybe they're just a bunch of bitches dressed in fake prada and cheap jewellery that were slowly turning green with each wear. Wooyoung had once expressed how he doesn't like your friends because of what they were saying about you to your face even in front of him who was a stranger to them but they didn't seem to care. Heck, they seem to enjoy being annoying, catty bitches.
Thinking that you weren't going to eat in front of him, Wooyoung smiled and squeezed your hand once before turning to leave but this time, you stopped him. You grabbed him by the arm and with quivering lips, you looked up at him, "D-do you think y-you can accompany me eat on the couch? I-I think I'm gonna need company," you asked.
Without hesitation, Wooyoung nodded and pulled you into a gentle and warm hug. "Can this 'company' include watching A Man Called Otto? Because San watched it without me and he cried so I wanted to know if the movie was really THAT sad or if he was just being a bitch," he pulled away just as he heard you chuckling and felt you nodding, "Only if you have a bowl of cereal with me."
As you watched Wooyoung busy himself with getting his own bowl of cereal and making both of you comfortable on your couch, you realized that it was stupid of you to have been upset to be left behind by your supposed friends. Sure, it sucks to be singled out and heard how your friends make you sound so lame. But honestly? Being in your own home with Wooyoung loudly commenting about the movies as you spoon cereal and milk into your mouth, you wouldn't have it any other way.

Caught
(Akumu doesnt do blackmail)
Rose sat bolted down and chained onto a steel chair, powered by old alchemy. She watched the figure pace back and forth.
"I'm telling you right now that you're wasting your time."
"Quiet."
Darkeethus paces more, tossing things around and muttering to himself. Rose was a bit concerned for the mental state of this man.
"Getting his attention this way never works. Trust me. We will be sitting here for weeks, months even. He doesn't do blackmail."
He grabbed her by the hair and pushed her head down, cranning her neck, and pulling the chains taunt by the pressure and force.
"I said SILENCE!
I know he'll come. You're his best soldier. His right hand. Killing you will lose him millions that he can not afford, but i won't have to do any of that if he just listens."
Rose frowned, unimpressed, and looked up through her bangs. Her neck was a little tight after being shoved down so roughly.
"You think so highly of me. I'm kinda flattered. But if you knew him like I do, you can stop wasting both of our time and shoot me already. He's not going to bother-"
"-saving his daughter?"
Rose's voice gets caught in her throat, almost making her gag.
Rose looked back at Darkeethus.
"W-what?"
His lips stretched into a disconcerting smile.
"Oh it took a lot of digging and lots of righteous sacrifices, but I know who you are now. I know how you came to be.
Scarrlette."
Rose started sweating. Things usually get complicated when they know who she really was.
He turns so his back is facing her.
"Or should I say a clone of Scarrlette. A faulty product, a failure."
There were questionable tools on the table that made the bottom of her stomach tighten. She knew what they could be used for.
Darkeethus messed with a few of the objects on the table, inspecting each one closely before giggling manically to himself. He turned around, holding a weird scoop like tool very surgical with sharp edges. He showed it off to her, causing her face to pale when she realized what it was.
Darkeethus leans over the bounded redhead.
"Now let's see, what can we remove to show him we are serious?," He makes a show of pondering as he tapped his chin, "Oh yes! That beautiful eye of yours."
Rose feels the panic start to bubble up in her chest as the scientist holds a different tool, which is supposed to keep the eye socket open.
"Wait, wait! You wanted him to listen to you, right, I can relay that information to him! I can bring him here guaranteed, with no eyeball removal."
Darkeethus thinks for a second making Rose assume he's actually taking the offer. Her hopes shattered when he shook his head.
"No, this way will do, my sweet."
The tool started to move close to her eye, hovering a few inches away.
"Shit fuck shit shit."
Sweat starts to bead down her forehead.
She shuts her eyes, teeth clenching in anticipation. A small, "Agghhh!" Escaping her lips.
When suddenly shadows start to form behind the mad scientist. It clumps up like millions of bats until a physical body is created.
A clawed hand gripped Darkeethus' shoulder tightly.
Then, he flings him back with ease. Darkeethus hits the wall, and pieces of wood shattered. His body slides down as blood poured out of the gash across the back of his head.
The new figure stared at the scientist that they flung, making it difficult for Rose to see who it was. Her eyes caught sight of the black hair, and the way it flowed flawlessly in the wind. She was shocked, and maybe she could even say relieved. Was it really him?
"A.. Akumu..?" She tried.
Red eyes looked over their shoulder to the bound redhead.
The figure turns around, and the second time that day, her hope shattered. It was Akumu's pet vampire, Liam Von Goethe.
Rose tried not to feel too disappointed, her smile wavering.
"L-Liam! What are you doing here.."
"My leige does not have time to deal with whatever this is, so he sent me."
He crossed his arms, looking at her.
Liam doesn't say anything else after that and stares. Rose starts to get uncomfortable with how awkward the stare is.
"Are you gonna untie me? Or just stare..." Rose asked, feeling quite flustered under that gaze.
Liam stands there with a hand on his chin as he studies Rose.
Another voice chimes in. "Beautiful.."
Liam turns his head to the scientist. They were sitting upright, leaning heavily on the wall, face covered in blood, a large contrast against their pale white hair.
Darkeethus stared at Liam in complete awe, one eye swollen shut.
"You're absolutely beautiful."
Liam became flustered a deep frown stretching his lips.
"Are you an angel?"
Liam scoffs, a look of disgust on his face.
"Che, you're delusional from blood loss."
"And you." He turns to face Rose his clawed hand reaching out.
"How much more will he tolerate before he sees you as a liability, I wonder.." Rose looked up at him with a frown as he caresses her cheek. It made her stomach twist from how gentle he was being.
He stared a little while longer before suddenly getting up. He dusted his cloak off from imaginary dust and started to leave.
Rose watched him go for a few minutes. The door slammed shut behind him, shaking the walls with force.
She looked down at the steeel chains and bolts, powered by alchemy, keeping her in place.
"Fucking asshole didn't untie me."
She tapped her temple with her shoulder, hitting her intercom and waited for the call to go through.
"Yo?"
"I'm calling in that favor you owe me."

wolf! Sorry you’re facing the terrifying plight of being ~perceived~, but congrats on the milestone!! ok I would love some drarry action (you’ve got me hooked) // “who is that?” xx
Hello you! This was very fun to write. And I'm glad to have gotten you hooked to this delicious ship! Also Idk why I'm so into writing them bonking in secret but there you go <3
300-followers drabble challenge - send me a ship and a sentence/word as a prompt, and I'll write you a drabble/ficlet! Still very much accepting requests and will get through them within... er, 2 weeks or so!
--
“Who is that? Is that who I think it is?”
Draco keeps his back turned to Pansy and Blaise; as far as they’re concerned, he is not listening.
(He is listening very closely indeed.)
“It is, you know. I’d recognise that terrible hair anywhere. He’s wearing it in a… oh Lord. It’s so sloppy.”
Draco scoffs gently into his champagne flute.
“And those robes need hemmed. Doesn’t he have… people?”
Blaise hums. “You’d think. Say, Draco?”
Draco’s eyelashes flutter rapidly as he struggles to keep his eyeballs from rising to the ceiling, to the very heavens above and beyond it.
He turns away from the mantel he is pretending to gaze into pensively, and offers them a bland smile. “Yes?”
Blaise tilts his head in a nod, gesturing to the other side of the room where Harry Potter is currently engaged in what looks like a very awkward exchange indeed with some elderly Ministry official, who, at least, seems to be leading the majority of the conversation full of bluster and fawn.
“Potter’s here,” Blaise then says, stating the obvious.
“Yes, I see,” Draco murmurs dryly. “Thank you for pointing that out, Blaise, well remembered that I didn’t bring my monocle with me tonight.”
“Oh, Draco, you’re always so catty when you’re breathing the same air as Harry Potter,” Pansy teases huskily, tapping her fingers against the rim of her crystal glass.
Haughtily, “Technically, Pansy, we’re all breathing the same air, because we all live on the same planet, on the same realm. Unfortunately.”
“I rest my case!”
“Does he look this scruffy at work, Draco?” Blaise asks, concerned.
“How should I know, I barely look at him.”
“Quite right,” Blaise says at the same time that Pansy snorts into her drink.
Eventually, when his friends totter off in search of more alcohol, Draco spends approximately four more minutes observing the mess on the other side of the room before he decides that he simply cannot take it anymore.
It just won’t do.
“It just won’t do,” he fusses four minutes after that, now nose to nose with Potter in private.
All it had taken was a look, in the end.
Just a single meeting of eyes across the party as Draco strode out into the wide, chandelier-adorned lobby and through to the men’s on the other side of the property.
Just one look for Harry Potter to follow him like a puppy.
“I’ve told you before,” he’s saying as he smooths some of Potter’s longer strands out from his face, tucking them behind his ears and back into the bun that is not sloppy, but rather rakish, thank you very much. “That you have to warn me when you decide at the last minute to come to these things, Potter, you know that I can’t control my frien—”
Potter plops down onto the mahogany bench by the sinks and spells the doors closed, leaving them locked and alone in the room with all of its shiny white tiles and gold taps and soap that smells like eucalyptus and rosemary.
Firm hands is what it takes to shut Draco up. To silence him, as they slide underneath the opening of his robes and around.
Gripping at flesh over tailored trousers.
Draco sways forward and puts a hand on Potter’s strong shoulder for balance. He hitches a knee up onto the bench by Potter’s side.
“Your dress robes need hemmed,” Draco says faintly. “Would you like me to drop them off in the morning?”
Potter’s voice, when he finally speaks, is gruff and low and highly amused. “So it’s yours tonight then, is it?” He grins.
Draco pinches his lips together and nods shortly. In one fluid movement, Potter drags him down to sit astride his lap and he buries his face in against Draco’s neck, beard scratching at the skin between his jaw and high collar of his dress shirt.
“If it’s any consolation,” he rumbles, and Draco’s eyes fall closed at this, “I think you look good enough for the both of us.”
Draco thinks about that. “Yes,” he whispers after a beat. “Yes, okay, I’ll give you that one.”

another concept (forgot to add concept to the last ask) this kinda reminds me of the bet fic butttttt
you and erin at the high school dance. just dancing, talking and having a good time. 🥺
(maybe they slow dance and talk?)
I changed it a little to be a high school reunion instead of actual high school cuz idk i got stuck. A couple lines are from s1ep6!
Tumblr media
"Thank you for being here," Erin whispered under her breath, her forehead resting on yours as a slow song started playing over the speakers.
"I don't know why I even care about what those girls think of me. 10 years later and they still get under my skin."
You're absentmindedly twirling the little curls on the back of Erin's neck as you listened to her talk, the subtle movements of the dance fading into the background.
"You figure out who your real friends are pretty quick when the word's out that your mom's a junkie and your dad's in jail," she continued, her breath hitching at the memories. Her arms grip tighter around your waist as she finished her thought.
"Voight had to make a deal with the director of the school to get me in. If I got in a fight and threw even one punch, I was out... So I ate it. And... it still bothers me. I— I just don't know why."
You pull away from Erin slightly and she avoids your eyes in embarrassment. For goodness sakes, it had been 10 years, she shouldn't still let it get to her.
Those girls were the only thing that could ever knock the sense out of her and Erin wasn't proud of it.
"Hey, I get it. Stuff from school, it sticks. You don't have to explain yourself. You have nothing to prove to anyone."
Your hand comes up to make her look at you and the scoff that escaped Erin's lips told you she didn't believe you.
"Babe, listen to me. You have knocked everyone here out of the ballpark. And I'm not just saying that because I love you. I really mean it. Have you seen you?" you chuckle, not missing the blush that creeps on your girlfriend's cheeks. "Plus, you're a badass cop in one of the best units CPD has ever seen."
Somehow you always knew what to say and today was no exception.
"I love you." Erin mumbled, as she buries her face into your shoulder. "They're just jealous, huh?"
You pepper her neck with little kisses and she laughs as you spin her around gently on the dance floor.
"Oh yeah, they're definitely jealous. Now, let's give them something to talk about," you murmur as you pull Erin in and press your lips to hers. You feel her smile into the kiss just as the eyeballs start turning in your direction.

Incoming call... Johnny
(italic- jn, bold- y/n)
"Y/n-iee?"
"Johnny? Hi! Any problem?"
.
.
"Hello?"
"Uh... kind of? Don't get mad."
"O..kay?"
"..."
"Suh Youngho."
"She's doing the full name thing, Jae." You heard Johnny from the opposite line.
"Sooo, I invited you and Jae over right?" You remained silent.
"Well, we did what we usually do, hahaha." You listened to him giggle nervously.
"That is?" You asked as if you didn't knew the answer.
"...drinking." You could imagine his nervous face, gulping silently.
"I-I mean that uh, Yoonoh kinda dr– I mean not drink but—" You stopped Johnny from sugarcoating the problem.
"Cut to the chase, drunk?"
"Well, good thing he–"
"Johnny." you cut him off once again.
"He's leaning towards the tipsy side," Johnny admitted.
"Coming." You ended the call as you heard Johnny mumble a 'sorry'.
-
"And I was going to binge-watch that new drama," You sighed.
You took your car keys and walked out of the house, towards your car. Your car made a beep as it unlocked. You opened the driver's seat and sat inside. You started and prepped the engine for a while. Gripping the steering wheel, you stepped on the gas pedal. You were now on your way to Johnny's manor.
Johnny had invited both you and Jaehyun for some drinks at his place, having a small catch-up. It was quite a while since you three had sat down and relaxed. You three were together since college! You thought of the invite for a while, but declined and let Jaehyun go alone. You decided to give them their 'boys night' after all their business conferences and the likes. Plus, there's this new drama on Netflix you wanna start on.
It all started with those two, then 'til they met you and your other college squad members. You trusted Johnny and Jaehyun anyways.
You weren't mad at Johnny. You were simply annoyed by how your self-care night was disrupted by a call about your husband who was laying on Johnny's living room carpet.
You and Johnny knew he had great alcohol tolerance, so it brought you to a surprise when Johnny called earlier about picking him up. Usually, it was you who needed help to get home.
You also found it cute whenever Jaehyun was in a drunk-ish state. He could start by getting silent then becoming quite clingy and fluffy for the first few whiles. And you had to sigh in relief because you wouldn't have to struggle to get Jaehyun home.
God, he was a lot taller and buffer than you, knowing that the other buddy was too jelly-like drunk-ish as well to help you out. And who knows what Jaehyun has in store.
Thinking of the possible scenarios you avoided, you kinda need a shot or two now.
-
You were nearing Johnny's house, which was around the corner. Not that long after, your car was parked behind Jaehyun's.
You then turned the car off and stepped out. With the car key with you, closing the driver's door and locking it right after. You walked across the porch and stood in front of the doorstep, you rang the doorbell twice.
It didn't take long for Johnny to answer the door. There he stood in front of you, sheepishly smiling. It was obvious that he drank, noting the pinkish tint of his eyes –but he seemed completely sober. He first mumbled a sorry before hugging you.
"I'll have him pick up the ca–"
You didn't finish the sentence as you spotted his maroon polo had some white powder near the lower-stomach area, you shot him a somewhat concerning glare, Johnny –completely getting what you meant– stifled a chuckle
"And no. that's not any of that high stuff, y/n. flour," he cleared. Now you wondered why he was covered in flour.
He guided you inside the house as if you haven't drop by a million times. You decided to start a short conversation. In the end, you did end up coming over. "So, where's Y/f/n?" You asked Johnny where his wife was, and he simply answered 'out' as she went to Incheon in advance to pick up Johnny's in-laws later by dawn.
As he guided you, the living room started to appear before you, then there you saw. There you saw your husband sitting on the carpeted floor, leaning on the room's huge couch behind him, munching on a cookie, which explains the flour on Johnny's shirt. He looked at you and smiled, showing his dimples. "So Youngho, was exactly happened?" Unbothered, you asked for context.
"Okay before anything, he suggested it." As Johnny explained his right hand continuously rubbed his nape.
Johnny and Jaehyun craved for treats, so they baked cookies... with a twist. they decided to make the cookies chocolate chips and alcohol-flavored.
Johnny did confess that they experimented for a while and eye-balled the measurements, ending up putting a lot more alcohol than needed. Knowing that Jaehyun absolutely loves cookies (maybe his guilty pleasure) didn't hesitate to munch on more than 2 pieces. It may sound dumb, but hey, it's the creativity that counts you guess? Ever since you met the boys it felt like you were a mother to two huge babies.
"And what made you eyeball this recipe?" You took a skim at the recipe they printed out. "The batter was too dry and doughy, we did what needed to be fixed."
"Good. But you should've used water to thin out the batter instead of adding more liqueur. Look at the guy." Both you and Johnny's view diverted to Jaehyun who was blushed and smiley at your presence.
You walked over to the lounge and sat on the fluffy carpet beside Jaehyun. "Hey baby" Jaehyun gushed and kissed your cheek as he immediately rested his head on your shoulder, his arm snuggling around your body.
You held his wrist as you leveled his cookie to your mouth, taking a bite. The cookie was good and for sure, it was strong. You took Jaehyun's shot glass and took some shots straight. Johnny came over in time to see you getting in action, he continued himself to squat in front of the two of you, with the coffee table in between, occupied with the tray of cookies and some opened drinks.
"You guys sure make a great couple" Johnny laughed as he shook his head seeing you take some shots, you three loved drinking together. Silently, you were relieved that Jaehyun was mostly sober, 'semi-drunk'. Let's say he was too sleepy to drive himself home.
You stayed at Johnny's for a while, continuing some talks and snacking on those cookies. Jaehyun slowly fell asleep on your shoulder making both you and Johnny giggle at the rare sighting. You softly laid Jaehyun's head against the couch for a while as you stood up and started to clean up, helping Johnny who started.
-
After quite a while, making the chit-chat the main reason for the continuous delays, you both finished cleaning both the living room and the kitchen which was a mess from the baking. You left Johnny who was packing a few of the cookies for you to take home and headed again to Jaehyun, who was now stretching on his seat.
Jaehyun woke up from his nap, stretching out the stiffness from sitting for the past few hours. You softly pinched his cheeks as you helped him up. He was awake but groggy. You hugged him from the side acting as a support while he tried to gather himself, slightly leaning some weight on you. Johnny both escorted you out to the doorstep after he handed you the container of cookies.
"I gave you the rest or else Y/f/n's pregnancy cravings gets the best of her."
"Thanks! Still betting on blue, Johnny" With that Jaehyun scrunched his brows as pats Johnny's shoulder as he sides with him, rooting for a girl.
Jaehyun took some slow steps as he approached the car. You guided him to his side before heading back to the driver's seat.
When both of you were buckled into your seats you started the car engine. You honked as a sign for Johnny inside the house, letting him know about your departure. You were now on your way to your last destination, the Jung residences.
Jaehyun was napping peacefully as you played some music to fill the quiet air. After a few songs, Jaehyun woke up again and was up for the rest of the ride. He started to accompany you as he started to sing to whatever was playing, he started to sing with his eyes closed.
On red lights, you couldn't help but look at the male beside you, immersed in his element. Your husband singing off to a night drive playlist, lids shut, and his face was tinted with a light color of blush. The view was immaculate. Even if it's been a year after the marriage, you still felt butterflies like a teen gal.
The next song started, and perhaps it was one of Jaehyun's faves. He slowly opened his eyes as he looked at you, eyes sparkling. He rested his arm on the compartment in between the seats as he tries to get closer to you. "to be young and in love in– babe, green light." You snapped yourself out from adoring your man and continued driving. Jaehyun chuckled and continued on with singing.
"To be 'drunk' and in love in Seoul city" He tugged your hand that was resting on the hand brake as he intertwined his hand with yours, making it rest by his cheek. He played with your wedding ring, "damn" he whispered and smiled.
"I like me better when I'm with you." He slowly brought your intertwined hand to his lips as he placed a soft peck. You took a glance as he smiled. You felt your cheeks heat up.
The rest of the drive, you both vibed to the music, even singing along. You were both enjoying the atmosphere, the alcoholic atmosphere. Once you both arrived home, you hopped out of the car and took some breathers. Jaehyun managed to balance himself on the way inside the house.
Inside, Jaehyun plopped on the couch as he sighed. You brought back a glass of water from the fridge and placed it on the small table. Jaehyun held your hand and pulled you down, making you hover above him. His polo softly reeked of the alcohol he had, the smell slowly sent up your nose. He held you in place as his arms were around your hips, slowly after admiring you he laid his lips on yours.
The soft taste of chocolate from the cookies and liqueur filling up, leaving an aftertaste. Breaking away, you laid on top of him he continues to trap you in his arms. Your hand slowly made its way to his head, fiddling with his hair. You buried your face into his chest as you slowly started to close your eyes.
Jaehyun whispered to your crown "g'night baby" rubbing his palm against your back. "i love you to the moon and back."
the night ended with soft snores and you against him in his arm.

WITCHING HOUR, a john seed/deputy fic. chapter twelve: the desire to devour
word count: ~10.3k rating: m warnings: naughty language, .000002 seconds of spiciness (but not really), john goes "we were vibing, right? we had the vibes? right?" for like the entire last half. also mentions of self-harm and elliot's previous trauma. notes: hi friends! i hope you enjoy this chapter! this is going to be the last sort of in-between chapter before we really get into it, and from here it's going to go faaaaast. i had a lot of fun writing it and feeling out these different dynamics. not to mention john being a gigantic fuckhead (but like what is new, lmao). special thank you as always to my wifey and beta reader @starcrier for your impeccable eyeballs, and also to @vasiktomis and @shallow-gravy for lending their eyes as well because i did fuss a bit with this chap. i would be lost without y'all. thank you everyone for your love and support, esp with comments! it really fills my heart so so much to hear back from you, and i am always in the market for friends so do not be afraid to reach out to me <3
She is twenty-five.
She’s twenty-five, and it's her first full day of work. Or, it was; now, she's sitting in the Spread Eagle listening to Pratt talk about everything that's happened while she's been gone, because he'd said, c'mon, let me take you out tonight. He grins a boyish, toothy grin at her—the same kind that's mimicked in the multiple school dance photos her mother covets—and tries to sound nonchalant when he asks how she liked being in the city.
It's hard not to think about how this is the first place she had ever met John Seed, then-Duncan, and how it feels like it's spoiled the whole place for her.
Elliot redirects her attention as best as she can to what it is Pratt is saying. He's fishing for information. They've always been each other's safety net, the person they can fall back on when all else fails. School dances. Picking partners in class. Graduation walking buddies. He'd driven her to the airport when she left for the Academy, even. But even though she knows he's trying to figure out if she's still a safety net, Elliot can't disguise the way thinking about Mason makes her feel—disgusting—so she brings the beer bottle to her mouth and takes a swallow.
The result is her face scrunching up. Pratt laughs.
“Geez, Elli, slow down,” he says, his smile crinkling at the corners of his eyes. “Bet money you're still a lightweight. When'd you start drinking beer, anyway?”
“I didn't,” she manages out around the taste, swallowing thickly. “I just won't let your money go to waste.”
He shrugs, as if to say, could, if you wanted, and swivels on the stool a little. He wants to press again—she can tell—but seems to have the good sense not to, instead busying his mouth with his own beer.
“Mama said Whitehorse let you right on,” Elliot says casually, trying to ignore the twinge of envy in her voice.
Pratt shrugs again. “He's known my dad a long time.”
“Known my mom too,” Elliot replies, dry.
“Yeah, well.” Pratt pauses, and sounds a little smug when he says, “Just because your mama likes me doesn’t mean I don’t know how she is to everyone else.”
“Likes you, does she?”
“Obviously,” the brunette replies confidently. “She still keeps all those photos of us. Remember senior year, she had all of her gal pals over when we were getting ready for prom—”
“Ugh.”
“—took us about 45 minutes before we were exactly where she wanted to take pictures—"
She rolls her eyes. Pratt grins, and then bumps his shoulder against hers. He says, “Aw, c’mon. Not so bad, is it? Having your mom like me?"
Elliot can feel the flush spreading under her cheeks. Not because she's embarrassed, or flustered, but because the beer sitting in her stomach feels rotten, and because Pratt's looking at her with the same kind of eyes he did before—always, always there's the before—and she doesn't know how to say I'm not her anymore, I'm not that girl, I'm different and changed and I don't know how to go back.
It doesn't matter. If Pratt can see it on her face, he doesn't let it show; just pats her shoulder and pretends he doesn't see the way she flinches from his hand swinging into her peripheral, pretends he doesn't notice the way she covers it up by swallowing another mouthful of beer she doesn't want to drink.
“Hudson’s really glad to have you back,” he says after a minute, when she doesn’t confirm nor deny that it’s not so bad knowing her mom thinks he’s a fine enough person. “Been talking about it nonstop.”
A smile creeps its way onto her face. “I’m glad to be back. With her, especially.”
“Yeah, you two always been thick, huh?”
She nods, swallows more beer, and Pratt rolls his eyes and snags the bottle out of her hand.
“Don’t keep drinking if you don’t like it,” he tells her, and then finishes it off himself, setting the empty bottle on the countertop with a grimace. “Can’t have people telling Whitehorse I bullied the probie into drinking.”
“‘Probie’,” she scoffs. “I could kick your ass.”
“Bullshit!”
“Could’ve done it before, Pratt.”
“Now that is lies and slander.”
Elliot only grins at him, the only time since coming back sans Joey getting her from the airport that it’s been a genuine thing; lopsided and a little sloppy but a grin nonetheless. Pratt finishes his own beer now, coughing a little into his fist before he blurts out, “I’m glad, too.”
She blinks. “Huh?”
“That you’re back,” Pratt clarifies. “Y’know—nice to have my friend back. Didn’t like sendin’ you off to the big city, anyway.”
He doesn’t know. He can’t know, because her mother won’t talk about it and Joey would never divulge what it was that had brought about her speedy return—but even though he doesn’t know about the way she has to swallow back a flinch every time he waves his hand in her peripheral, or the way the smell of beer on a man’s breath makes her stomach clench with anxiety, or how her hands are so fucking cold all the time because her heart hammers in her chest, the way he says that (Didn’t like sendin’ you off to the big city, anyway) feels a little like vindication.
“S’okay,” she murmurs, nudging his shoulder with hers. “Came back in one piece, didn’t I?”
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
The scent of roses wafted over her in waves. The sound of bathwater murmuring against the sides of the porcelain tub rippled each time she moved, each time she used the grip of her hands against the lip of the sides to sink herself under; her knuckles went cold with the ferocious grip, but when she went under she was submerged in quiet once more. Blissful, serene, quiet; just what she wanted.
Elliot pulled herself out of the water. Downstairs, she could hear her mother’s voice, spiking frantic even through the floors and the two closed doors that kept her separated.
“...years, Mr. Seed, I have lost years of my life agonizing over what she did to herself...”
She dipped below the water, closing her eyes. No sound; no shrill noise; just the heavy, bloated static that existed underneath the surface of the bath. Only her and the baby.
It occurred to her, absently, that she needed to start picking out names for the baby. Now that they had a guess at what the gender was, they’d have to decide about a name; not only a first, but a middle, too—the last name—
“...find it quite intriguing, actually, that the second she comes back to me after being involved with your kind that she’s got all this—this—”
Oh, don’t say it, Elliot thought tiredly, closing her eyes.
“—tear, just wretched wear and tear, Mr. Seed, don’t you? Don’t you find that intriguing?”
John was sitting down there, enduring a thorough verbal lashing, and she hadn’t even asked him to. She’d said, I don’t care if she thinks it was me, and he’d guided her upstairs and cupped her face and kissed her, long and open-mouthed, and swept his thumb over her cheek. Now, Elliot could hear the sound of his voice—calmer, empathetic, like just knowing that her mother was hysterical was giving him some kind of control over himself—but that he was speaking in a normal tone meant that his words didn’t come through quite so clearly.
She heard the sound of her mother saying, “I suppose you’re going to tell me why you’re not bothered in the least?” just before she dipped under the water again.
What was she going to name the baby? Did she even have an idea of what kinds of names she liked? Exhaustion pulled at the edges of her attention; she thought, I’m too tired to come up with a baby name, and gripped the edges of the bathtub harder. More fierce, more firm; grip and pull, maybe spill the entire bathtub over, tilt the clawed feet until it hit the tiled floor and the porcelain broke and the rose-scent water flooded the bathroom, her room, the hallway.
Then they’d have to leave. Then they couldn’t stay, surely, in a house flooded with rose water.
Fingers brushed over hers where they’d gone white at the edges of the tub. She pulled herself out of the water to find John sitting there, knelt at the side of the tub—not unlike the way he’d sat back at her mother’s house in Hope County, when she’d drank too much in the bathtub and said that he could mark her.
Because that’s what it had been. As much as she had wanted it, as much as she had enjoyed it, no matter what John said—he had been marking her as his. Like that Oscar Wilde poem.
The same sin binds us.
Elliot brushed the water from her eyes and settled her head back against the tub, regarding him. He looked less bothered than she thought he would, having sat through her mother’s grilling and interrogation—though he did look like he wanted to say something, like maybe it was sitting, burning into ash in his mouth, the way she could see the flex of his jaw and the way his free hand clenched and loosened.
Ignoring the nagging feeling that he wanted to ask her what she’d been doing under the water, and the even more bothersome knowledge that she had, at some point, become painfully aware of his body language, Elliot said, “We have to think of a name.”
John blinked at her. Less than an hour ago, he’d been saying Of course I’d come for you, I love you, with or without the baby I love you, and she’d been sobbing into his arms and clinging to him.
He said, “And a middle name.”
“I’m trying not to think about it.”
A smile finally ticked the corner of his mouth, his fingers uncurling hers from the edge of the tub. Reluctantly, she let him.
“Your mother’s upset.” He paused. “She still wants you to play nice for her Christmas party, but she’s upset.”
“I know,” she replied sullenly. The despair of her shame, which had at once both overwhelmed her and hollowed her out, had dissipated in the wake of her indignation. What would she know, that vicious thing inside of her said, replaying the way her mother’s expression had crumpled. What would she know of our suffering? What would she know of our pain? ‘Wretched wear and tear’, like we haven’t been torn up for ages, like she didn’t throw us to the wolves and scoff in disgust when we came back bloodied and battered.
She wanted to be angry, really angry, but like most things that had to do with her mother, Elliot found herself more exhausted than anything. Scarlet had always found it impossible to comprehend the scars she’d given herself, had always claimed to feel disconnected to the ways Elliot had searched out meaning and comfort.
Absently, Elliot wet her lips and let her gaze flicker up to where John had perched himself beside the tub. He looked mighty pleased with himself, having finally gotten his words out. I love you, he’d said, palm flat against her window, I love you, with or without the baby.
And John, I want a home with you.
And John, Marriage is hard work, but I know you’re just the woman for the job.
And John, No way baby, I’m fucking it for you.
Blood rushed through her head, thunderous. John was saying something to her, but the words felt distant, and far away, and everything felt like it was underwater when she moved—not just the parts of her submerged in the bath, but all of it, the air too-thick and dragging on her skin and pulling her down slow as molasses. She blinked a few times as she disentangled their hands and reached for the towel, but John pulled it off of the hook first.
She watched him. She watched his mouth move, and his brows pull and furrow together at the center of his forehead, and the way his breath rose and fell in his chest, pushing and pulling the Sloth scar scratched across his sternum. Just like me, dream John had said, gripping her blood-covered hands, you’re just like me.
His voice, muffled and bogged down by the blood rushing through her ears, quirked up at the end. Elliot’s eyes darted back to his, and she asked, “Sorry, what?”
“The water’s cold,” he replied, waving the towel a bit. “Aren’t you getting out?”
“Yeah,” Elliot murmured. She felt hollow. Her fingers itched. She wanted—
John caught her hand as she stepped out of the bathtub, steadying her while her free hand gathered the towel up against her front. Goosebumps prickled across her skin, the lukewarm temperature of the bath still lingering; his fingers interlaced with hers, and she used it to steady herself.
He was close. They were close. A part of her resented it—that she let him be so close to her, that she let him kiss her and fuck her but mostly that she let him hold her when she cried, miserably, that she wanted to go home. Because after everything, after all of it, Hope County still felt—
She closed her eyes. Of course it still felt like home. Joey was there; now she knew Pratt was, too.
And among all of that, if she waded through the weeds spreading in her mind, if she hacked and cut them away, there was John.
“What are you thinking about?” John murmured, his cologne washing over her, their noses brushing. Her eyes fluttered open and she let out a little breath, that wanton little creature in her head chanting it over and over. There’s John, there’s always been John, nobody will love us with this much red in our ledger. No one but him.
“You,” she managed. Her head felt swimmy, the words coming out of her mouth sounding like a stranger’s—thick with want. John’s eyes flickered up to hers, having fixed on her mouth.
“If you want something, Ell,” he rumbled, the pressure of his fingertips against the back of her neck guiding her forward just a little but not all the way, “you only—”
Elliot leaned forward and kissed him, her hand lifting so that she could curl her fingers into his hair, the towel slipping to the floor. His body had tensed, like he wasn’t expecting it—like he was waiting for something else—and she thought about the way he’d kissed her with Kian’s blood in her mouth, the way he’d been just rampant with desire, the way the way the way—
Her teeth caught his lower lip, a little sharper than she’d intended, and his hand gripping her wrist tightened and he moaned, and she felt that same little thrill as before surge through her. It’s my magic, too, the itch in her fingers subsiding when she dug her nails in and pulled his hair a little, parting her lips against his; John leaned into her, crowding her up against the counter in front of the mirror, the hand at the nape of her neck threading into damp hair.
“Ell,” he said against her mouth, his voice rougher than before and hands planted on the counter on either side of her, “what are you doing?”
She murmured, “Stop talking,” and kissed him again, fingers clumsily working through the buttons on his shirt—her voice came out even but everything else about her felt wobbly, unsteady, craving craving craving the way it felt to have him begging her. Anything, to feel in control. Anything, to feel whole. Dig, and dig, and when you hit the bottom you keep digging some more, right?
What do we do with grief, right?
Burn and erase the image of her mother’s disgust and horror at seeing a part of her she might actually like, scrape it from her mind, dig her trenches deep deep deep and hunker down where she could feel safe, where she could feel strong; soon she would be home and—
And John’s teeth snagged her lower lip in retribution, sparking violent and red-hot behind her eyes with pleasure lighting her neurons on fire.
“Off,” she ground out against his mouth, pushing helplessly at the shirt she’d only halfway unbuttoned. The brunette grinned; his hands resumed her work, and she instead devoted her attention to the belt at his waist, yanking at it as John’s face dropped to her neck, hot breath fanning across her skin teeth dragging against her pulse point to pull a moan out of her.
There was a split second between John discarding his shirt on the floor and gripping her hips to lift her onto the countertop, his mouth seeking hers out again as she wound her arms around his neck. She had never been completely naked and felt not vulnerable at all, felt more in control—but she did, now, when she grabbed a fistful of his hair and pulled and he moaned her name, a little frantic, Ell, Ell, hellcat, he said into their kiss, let me let me, greedy and wanting as he glided fingers up along the inside of her thigh.
He tensed, like he was going to drop to his knees, and she kept her hand in his hair and said, “Don’t.”
“Hm,” is what he replied, “pulling on my hair, ordering me to take my clothes off—”
“I’m about to tell you to shut up again.”
“—but won’t let me eat you out?” John grinned against her mouth, the scent of his cologne—expensive, stupid shit, but it never failed to feel like it was overwhelming her senses—washing over her. “What is it, baby? Want me to say please?”
Yes, something wicked inside of her said, John’s eyes lifting from her mouth to hers, narrowing playfully. Yes, I’d like that, I’d like to hear you say it like that.
“I know you,” he purred. He dug his nails into her hips, a sound—the wanting kind—trying to crawl its way up her throat. “Know exactly what you want from me. Yeah? So, Ell, won’t you please—”
There was a sharp knock at the door, a pause, and then: “Elliot?”
A near-silent laugh billowed out of John, stifled into her neck when her mother’s voice came through the door. Elliot’s eyes fluttered; her fingers, knotted in John’s hair, loosened and smoothed down the back of his neck, the intoxicating tension relaxing just a little. Heat had coiled in the hollow of her chest, spreading warm fingers at the same leisurely pace that John’s hand drifted up to her hip, his mouth finding the hollow of her jaw.
“I can’t believe her,” she muttered. “Yes?”
“Miss West is here, with her brother.” Scarlet’s voice was tight. “Returning your vehicle.”
Fuck. Elliot sighed, her eyes closing for a second while she tried to gather her thoughts. It was difficult to focus with John’s breath on her neck and his hands on her skin and that fucking cologne—and boy, did she not want to dwell on the fact that he’d shown up with barely anything but somehow also remembered to pack his stupid fucking cologne. But there was a different, special kind of warmth that spread through her when she realized that Sylvia was coming to check on her.
“Hair’s wet,” she called after a moment, “I’ll be down in a minute.”
“Fine.” There was another pause, and then her mother’s voice, scathing even through the door: “Ensure you are put together, Elliot.”
John murmured against her neck, “So no hickeys, then?” and she swatted his shoulder, rolling her eyes and sliding off of the counter. He seemed reluctant to let her disembark, thumb sweeping the slope of her hip before he dropped down—just far enough to plant a kiss on the gentle slope of her tummy. It was—sentimental, unseating her with incredible ease.
And then he ruined it by saying, “Your mommy won’t let me fuck her filthy, but I hear the second trimester throws a woman’s hormones through the roof, so we’ll see how long that lasts,” to her bump as he grabbed the towel from the floor to offer to her.
She snatched it from his hands, wrapping it around herself. “Don’t say that shit to the baby. You think I won’t end your life?”
“I wouldn’t mind,” he offered, head cocked to the side. “Leaving the hickeys, anyway, I mean. Well, and the second part too. About sex. Not the murderous part. Actually, you know I find it—”
Choosing to ignore the latter statement, Elliot narrowed her eyes. “You’d risk Via’s opinion of you dropping so severely?”
“You know what they say.” John spread his hands, almost in a gesture of helplessness; though she knew he was far from it. “Old habits die hard.”
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
“She’s killing all of my angels!”
Faith’s voice was sharp, piercing; Isolde’s fingers fluttered over the bridge of her nose to fend off an impending headache, pen held poised above the notepad where she’d been writing down her thoughts but had paused in time for the girl’s interjection. She couldn’t stand a messy page—ink smears, jarred letters. Unacceptable.
Two hours ago, she’d had Jacob drive her out to where the service was strongest. A flood of emails and texts from her family had been waiting to overload her phone. Her dad, things are looking poorly, where are you?, her sister, I’ve been trying to reach you for days.
“Jacob,” the blonde plunged on, interrupting her train of thought, “you have to do something. They’re being—gutted like fish!”
“You should have locked them down,” Jacob told her. “And you’re not the only one losing things.”
“I put—” Faith cut herself off, clearly taking a moment to compose herself before she pitched her voice low and said, “I put just as much work into them as you do into yours.”
The red head’s voice bloomed with annoyance when he said, “Oh, did you?”
“No fighting, please,” Joseph called from where he sat next to her. His voice was even, elbows rested on his legs and fingers interlaced in thought. “I know this is stressful. But you must keep your faith in God.”
“Santi told me that—whoever she is has been leaving their corpses all around!” Faith’s voice pitched high with distress, now, sweeping around Jacob to come to where they had sat, big doe eyes wide. “We have to do something. Please, Father—I don’t want our people to wonder if they’re going to be next.”
Joseph paused, looking pensive for a moment; Isolde thought he might have been trying to figure out how he wanted to phrase something, but before he could speak, Isolde looked at Jacob and said, “You were going to hunt her down anyway, weren’t you?”
The eldest Seed’s eyes narrowed. “Don’t you start with me too, Sol.”
“Get some fresh air,” she replied curtly, “go for a drive, clear your head. Eliminate a problem. You’ve been wearing a hole in the floors anyway; put that energy into being productive.”
“P—” Jacob’s voice spiked, incredulous. “Excuse me?”
He was agitated. She could tell—Pratt, and the phone call with the deputy in Georgia, and the Hunter on some kind of one-man rampage. But more importantly, Isolde thought, Jacob was agitated because there had not been a single conversation between him and Joseph since their argument.
Well, not even an argument. Just a lashing. A public one.
Isolde scooted her chair back from the table that had been set up at the front of the chapel, setting her pen down and stepping away. Her hand landed on the crook of Jacob’s elbow as she passed, and though he made a noise that implied disdain, he followed—not without shrugging her hand off by the time they got to the front doors of the chapel, leaving the other two to talk in low, murmured voices.
“You have got to stop letting this get to you,” she hissed.
“Nothing is ‘getting’—”
“Listen to me,” Isolde interjected. “I’ve been keeping as close an eye on the news as I have been on you. Things are—” She paused, mouth twisting around the words. “There is no room for you lot to be bloody fighting with each other. Do you understand me? This has moved far past needing to prepare PR and build a legal defense.”
Jacob’s eyes narrowed. He looked suspicious. “So why are you still here then, Sol?” he asked.
The words burned insult in her chest. Why are you still here, stinging fresh and hot, because it was a fair question. It was the most fair question. Unlike any of these people, she had a family outside that she still loved. Her sister, and her parents. She should have told John and all of the Seeds to go fuck themselves, to enjoy the end of the world, while she went to be with her family.
But she wasn’t. She was here. Doing—this. Finding fresh new ways for Joseph to connect with his people to keep their morale high, keeping the infighting at bay to make sure they looked like a united front to everyone, second doomsday cult included.
“My parents will take care of Avery. You know they’re close with—government,” she replied after a minute, shaking off the unease. “And I told John that I would.”
He snorted. “John says jump, you ask how high?”
“No,” she bit out, “I say jump and you kiss the fucking ground I’m standing on because I cobbled together what the fuck is left of your congregation.” Before Jacob could say anything, Isolde added, “My hands are full, Jake. Do not add to my pile.”
Dark brows furrowed, his mouth thinning in disdain. He clearly wanted to say something. But true to his nature, Jacob straightened back and settled himself before he said, “Fine.”
“Fine?”
“Fine,” he reiterated with his eyes narrowed. “I’m going to the Veteran’s Center.”
“That doesn’t sound like where we heard about the killings happening last,” Isolde protested, eyes narrowing.
“But she was there,” he replied. “Or someone was. Someone was there enough to steal my files.”
“Your—” Isolde snapped her mouth shut, sucking her teeth as she glanced back at Joseph and Faith; haloed in the dim lighting of the chapel, she could see them looking back at Jacob and herself expectantly. She wondered how much they could hear, from there.
Turning her attention back to Jacob and pitching her voice down in volume, Isolde hissed, “I don’t think prioritizing files is the best move right now.”
“Thank you,” Jacob idled, “for your input.”
“Fuck you.”
“Have fun,” he added, opening the door and letting in a waft of biting, cold air, before gesturing to the Book of Joseph on the table that she’d had her nose stuck in. All the better to make Joseph’s sermons hit home harder, after all. “You know—with your light reading.”
Isolde narrowed her eyes, watching him trudge down the steps for just a second before she said, “Jacob—”
“Yes, Isolde?”
Her mouth pressed into a thin line. “Don’t get shot.”
For a moment, he looked almost surprised at her words—but it was only a moment before he said, “Don’t worry, I’m taking Vidal. He makes a suitable meatshield.”
“God, he’s a talker.”
A tiny ghost of a smile tugged at the corner of Jacob’s lips, before he said, “John and the deputy should be making their way here any day now.”
Isolde grimaced. “I was there for the phone call.”
“Are you going to leave?” Jacob pressed, expression stiffening again. “When he does?”
She paused, clearing her throat and shifting on her feet. I should, were the words that wanted to come out of her mouth. I should go. I only came down here because John wasn’t here. I should go, and get back to my life, and maybe get to my family and try to stay out of the crossfire and—
After a heartbeat, she said, “I don’t know.”
Jacob shrugged, as if to say, see? Told you, though to what he could be referring to, she had no idea; she only knew that she didn’t like the way he swung around and sauntered out of the chapel, leaving her alone in the tepid warmth with Joseph and Faith’s eyes on her in favor of the blistering cold outside. Snow had continued to dump throughout the day and night, and had only just let up recently; the members of Eden’s Gate—those who had survived the Family’s relentless assaults, and those that had been pulled from the bunkers—had been tirelessly shoving pathways, only to have their work tidily undone each night.
Fingers brushed the palm of her hand. Isolde startled; she glanced back just as fingers interlaced with hers to be met with sweet, bright eyes and Faith’s adoring attention planted on her.
“It means so much to me,” Faith murmured, “that you would help. Not just me, but all of us.”
Soli watched the blonde for a moment, trying to gauge. The physical closeness was not something she was accustomed to; carefully, she disentangled their fingers, skin prickling with unease. When she glanced up, Joseph’s eyes were on them, on Faith’s fingers falling from her hand but skimming the inside of her palm in a lingering touch of affection.
He was always doing that. Watching. Watching, and waiting, and pinning each movement and gesture and thought and word out perfectly like the wings of a butterfly, just the color he liked and just the shape.
“Don’t thank me,” Isolde replied, mustering a smile and brushing the hair from her face.
“It’s my job.”
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
“Hey, Miss Honey, John!”
Wyatt’s cheerful voice broke through the late-afternoon chill; the sun setting early, people’s breath coming out in puffs of smoke. It all felt oddly normal, given the circumstances of the morning and the way she’d forgotten to call Sylvia once she got home, and that her friend had fished up a reason to come by the house and make sure she hadn’t—
Well.
Still, if there was any remnant of the morning in Sylvia’s heart, it didn’t show in her face, and it certainly didn’t show in Wyatt’s. Instead, both blondes beamed at her, radiant, the second she came out with fuzzy, fresh-from-the-blow-dryer hair and swaddled up to her chin in thick fabrics to fend off the cold.
And, truthfully, to hide the bump. John had reminded her of it, and even though the moment had been a...good one, it had also reminded her she hadn’t expressed this truth to Sylvia or Wyatt. As John closed the door behind her and jogged down the steps,
“Howdy,” Ell greeted, albeit a bit awkwardly thanks to her stuck-somewhere-nowhere-sort-of-accent. “You didn’t have to drive it back all the way out here, you know.”
“Sure we did.” Wyatt chirped. “Wouldn’t be very neighborly of us if we let it sit and the battery died out, now would it?”
“No,” John demurred after a moment even as Elliot’s cheeks went warm, “I suppose not.”
“You all recovered from this morning?” Via asked cheerfully, purposefully avoiding the actual question. Elliot shifted on her feet. John’s hand skimmed the small of her back, and even through the layers of fabric, it felt warm; she wondered if this was what it would have been like for them, had their life been normal. Had John been truthful with her from the get-go. Now, with everything laid out between them—the lies unearthed and only the brutal, unapologetic knowledge that they wanted each other, in one way or another—it felt like they might have been normal. Sometime, somewhere, someplace else.
It was still hard to swallow, all of it. The lies and the now-truths and the knowledge that she did, in fact, want.
“Oh, yeah,” Ell replied faintly. “Took a bath and...” She tried for a smile. “Decompressed.”
“That what smells so good?”
“Y’all get that tired from dress shoppin’?” Wyatt tsked, having pulled his coat out of the jeep and started to pull it on. He grinned at her and skillfully dodged a side-swipe from Sylvia; he had a good foot of height on her—and Elliot—so it wasn’t difficult. The siblings fussed for only a moment before Sylvia managed to fetch the Jeep’s keys from Wyatt’s coat pocket and held them out to Elliot, puffing.
She was in the middle of saying, “Your keys, madame,” when John’s head tilted and he muttered, “Now what is this?”, drawing her attention to the end of the drive. A police cruiser made its way slowly down the drive, carefully pulling up behind the Jeep.
Not beside it. Not further up toward the garage, not on the other side of the four of them chatting. Behind it. Blocked in.
Sheriff Pritchard stepped out, shuffling a little as he adjusted the black, fur-trimmed jacket on his shoulders and closed the driver side door. He’d come alone, which made Elliot certain he wasn’t here to arrest her—and what a ludicrous thought, that he might have considered it a possibility, because the mere mental image of Pritchard grabbing her arm and keeping his eyes in his head made a hysterical kind of laugh want to bubble out of her.
Not me, not me and not my baby, that thing inside of her said, lifting its hackles and baring its teeth when Pritchard began to saunter over. Not my baby.
“Afternoon, you two. And Wests,” Pritchard greeted as he drew closer. He’d earned himself a curious murmur from Sylvia. “Havin’ a little shindig out here, Miss Honeysett?” Elliot opened her mouth to respond, but he lifted his hands quickly in defense. “‘M sorry, forgot myself. Mrs. Seed.”
It caught her off-guard, sucked the air right out of her lungs. It was one thing to hear her mother say John is Elliot’s husband, to hear her say John is my son-in-law, but it was another entirely to hear herself referred to as Mrs. Seed. It had never, ever been that she was John’s wife, except out of his own mouth, but now—
John seemed eager to engage with Pritchard, because he said, “Something that you needed, sheriff?”
“Yes, actually. Believe it or not, I ain’t in the business of drivin’ out to the rich part of town just for shits and giggles,” Pritchard replied coolly. “Your mama home, Elli?”
“Probably resting,” Sylvia offered, smiling politely. “We just finished dress shoppin’ for her Christmas Party not but an hour ago.”
“Yeah,” Pritchard rumbled, pulling out a cigarette and lighting it. “Heard about your little trip to the boutique today.”
John asked irritably, “Do you need to smoke that right now?”
Elliot swallowed thickly. Her lashes fluttered, eyes desperate to close; the warmth that had flooded her face now felt like it verged on feverish, threatening to make her head swim again. This was bad. This was bad-bad, chop her hair off and run run run again bad, the kind of bad that made a girl change her name and burn her birth certificate and make sure that nobody would ever be able to find her again.
“I don’t,” she began, “think mama’s feeling up to visitors right now.”
Pritchard eyed her, taking a puff of his cigarette while completely glazing over John’s pointed question. “Imagine not. You know, you been a hot topic of conversation lately, Mrs. Seed. Gotten loads of questions about you. Lady from out of town, Federal Marshals. I don’t like folks sniffin’ around my town, you know, especially not the fuckin’ Feds, but it’s gotta make me wonder.” The smoke curled out from his nose, the smoke of a lazy, self-righteous dragon wafting around her.
“Sheriff,” John continued tightly, clearing his throat, “you’re going to need to put that out.”
“We’re outside, Mr. Seed. You ain’t ever seen someone smoke a cigarette outside?”
“Do you make a habit of smoking around pregnant women?” John snapped viciously, and oh, she thought, oh, I didn’t even think of that, because her brain was too busy kicking into overdrive and parse out the absolute confirmation that Federal Marshals were asking after her and strange women, too. Oh, I didn’t even think about the baby.
And then Sylvia said, eyes wide as saucers as she laughed, flustered, “Oh, John, that’s very kind of you, but I’m not—” and her eyes landed on Elliot, and she blinked rapidly.
Wyatt was looking at her, too. Big, big eyes, surely having not only learned that she and John were married but that she was also pregnant in the span of only a few minutes. At least, Elliot didn’t think Sylvia would have divulged that information, and if the shock he was clearly trying to cover up in his expression was any indication, that gut feeling was right.
No, she thought, no, this is not what I wanted. This is not what I wanted at all. It wasn’t his to tell, it wasn’t his to tell, it was mine, my choice, mine alone.
Her gaze snapped to Pritchard. She said, “It’s time for you to leave.”
Pritchard lifted his eyebrows. “That so? Well, good for me I ain’t here to talk to you, missy.”
“Get. Off. My. Property,” she bit out through her teeth. “Scarlet isn’t taking visitors, and I’ll cut the decay out of my own teeth before she makes anything close to the time of day for you.”
Now, his eyes narrowed and the cigarette sat between his fingers, still burning amber at the end. “Excuse me?”
“And tell the fucking Feds whatever you want,” she snapped, fingers curled tightly around the keys until the metal edges dug into the nooks and crannies of her hand. “But whatever you do, get the fuck out of my driveway, sheriff.”
Something flickered in the corner of her vision. John started, “Ell,” and his hand went to her shoulder, but she jerked back from him before he could make much more than a brush of contact.
“Don’t,” Elliot snapped at him, her voice wobbling and the tears—shameful tears—welling up and burning, “touch me.”
“Alright, okay,” Sylvia murmured, “Elliot and I are gonna go inside, and John can—”
“Ain’t here to talk to Mr. Seed,” Pritchard drawled venomously.
“If you’re asking questions about Elliot,” Sylvia replied calmly, taking Elliot’s hand with a firm squeeze, “I can imagine there is no better person to ask than her husband, don’t you think so, Sheriff?”
Pritchard’s eyes were squinted into poisonous little slits, and he took a long drag of his cigarette.
“Mrs. Honeysett won’t be any type of cooperative if you get her up now,” Wyatt chimed in, eyes flickering nervously to Elliot—perhaps both because of the news and because of her outburst. But she didn’t have time to think much about it, because Sylvia was tugging her out of the cluster of folks, ginger and reassuring even as her brother plunged on, “I mean, sheriff, come on—you know how women can be when they’re gotten up too early, let alone they’ve been shoppin’ all day—”
And Pritchard said, “You want I should put my cigarette out now, Mr. Seed?” as Sylvia opened the door,
and John replied with a slick, charismatic kind of venom, “No reason to anymore, smoke to your heart’s content,”
and the door clicked shut behind her and Boomer scampered out from where he’d been snoozing under the dining table.
She had to leave.
She had to go.
She had to get out.
Federal Marshals and strange women asking after her, and now her only two friends in the whole fucking world—
(well, not entirely true, since we still have Pratt, isn’t that right? Isn’t that right, Elli?)
—had just seen her almost go fucking bananas on an officer of the law, had watched her demand he get the fuck out of her driveway for wanting to ask her mother about her, had seen her.
“Hey,” Sylvia said, “you’re alright.”
I’m not, she thought, dropping the keys into the crystal bowl by the door, smearing red against the glass. Her hand stung. She reached with the good, unmarked hand for Boomer absently. His cold, wet nose brushed against it, and he whined, feet tapping against the wood as he bumped her for her attention. I won’t go. I won’t fucking go. I won’t pay the price for what they did to me, what they made me into.
“I’m sorry,” she blurted out abruptly, her voice coming out tight. “Sorry that I didn’t—um, tell you. About the—”
“It’s okay,” Sylvia told her quickly, “it’s alright, Elli, it’s not a big deal. You don’t have to explain yourself to me.”
Elli, she said, without knowing what the nickname meant. Elli, Sylvia said, it’s alright, and Joey, right now we need to leave, Elli, and Pratt, geez, Elli, slow down, an affectionate nickname saved only for folks who considered her their friend. Sans Pritchard. Fuck Pritchard.
“Lots of people wait to tell,” Via continued, one hand coming to rest on her shoulder and jarring her out of her thoughts, which were quickly and rapidly devolving back into the urge to march outside and ensure Pritchard was obeying her command. Out out out, something vicious inside of her demanded, we want him out we want him gone.
Elliot said, “Yeah, you’re right,” but she felt far away—not lost, not gone from herself, but thinking. She could pack fast. She could pack fast, and John had brought barely anything, and they could leave right now, her mother none the wiser. They could leave now and be gone and Cameron Burke would have to—
But are we sure it’s Burke? Are we sure it’s Burke and not someone else, come to haul your ass to a fucking psych ward, for what you did in Hope County?
For what you did?
No. She wasn’t sure. She could only hope it was one singular Federal Marshall on her tail, and not an actual piece of the government body. That was all.
But whoever it was that was asking after her—strangers, government officials—it didn’t matter. That old mantra had kicked in again; something has to be done, the same kind of calm before the storm that she’d felt when Joey had been killed, something has to be done.
Something has to be done and I’m going to have to be the one to fucking do it.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Pritchard dropped the cigarette into the snow and stamped it out with his bootheel, his eyes fixed on John. Sylvia had rushed Elliot inside, but he didn’t think that had been purely necessary—only in the instance they had wanted to keep Pritchard out of a blood bath. Elliot hadn’t been checking out, trying to keep herself together; she had been angry, and he’d had half a mind to let her say and do exactly as she pleased to the man now standing in front of him in the cold.
“She always been that volatile, Mr. Seed?” the sheriff asked.
“Not undeservingly,” John replied tartly, his eyes narrowed. “Did you have specific questions, sheriff, or did you just come by to terrorize my pregnant wife with your theoretical judgment of her soul?”
“More your speed?” Pritchard replied, lifting a brow.
“Pardon?”
“Heard about you Seed boys,” he continued coolly, “and your...” He gestured with a calloused hand vaguely, looking for the right word.
John smiled, with teeth. “Before I grow old, if you don’t mind, sheriff.”
“Proclivities,” Pritchard elaborated, “for religion.”
Fucking Burke, he thought, with no absence of venom; fucking Burke can’t resist the urge to try and fuck up my life when he’d be better off trying to find a place to hunker down for the end of the world.
“We’re red-blooded Americans,” John idled coolly, “freedom of religion goes hand in hand with that.”
“Mr. Pritchard, you wanna get that car started?” Wyatt cut in abruptly, glancing around like he thought maybe the rest of the patrol might be rolling in any minute. “It doesn’t sound like you’ve got any questions for Mr. Seed.”
“That’s sheriff to you, boy,” he snapped. And then, after a heartbeat, he fished his keys out of his pocket and said, “I s’pose I got all the information I needed, after all.”
“Mmhm.”
John had turned back to the house, spotting Elliot and Sylvia through the front window, when Pritchard announced, “You make sure Scarlet gives me a call when she’s recovered from your wife’s antics, Mr. Seed.”
His gaze returned to the sheriff, narrowed. “Certainly, Sheriff Pritchard.”
“But if I don’t hear from you, no worries,” the man continued, opening his car door, “I’ll make another special trip out here.”
“Goody.”
John flashed another grin when Pritchard’s eyes flickered over him. Wyatt said, “Have a safe drive,” and Pritchard slammed his door shut, his cruiser’s engine roaring to life before he began to slowly back out and make a u-turn to head down the long driveway again. There was a moment of silence, stretching between himself and Wyatt that he didn’t feel particularly inclined to break—after all, Wyatt had been taking liberties with Elliot that he shouldn’t have been—before the blonde finally broke the silence.
“Congrats,” Wyatt said after a minute. “About—uh, the baby, I mean. I didn’t know!”
Ah, he thought, feeling a strange little surge of pride at the way the man across from him shifted on his feet with discomfort, and that’s why Elliot’s mad I brought it up. Her friends didn’t know.
Well, it was better this way, after all. He wouldn’t have taken it back even if he’d gotten the chance, knowing what he did now.
“Thank you,” he replied amiably. “It’s certainly a blessing.”
Wyatt’s mouth twisted for a moment, looking like there was something he wanted to say specifically and didn’t know how to say it without foregoing social niceties, but the sound of the front door opening caught both of their attentions.
“Wyatt, you gonna stand out here like a lemming all afternoon or what?” Via called. “Get the car warmed up, you caveman.” She took a few steps down the front stairs and looked at John. “You’re wanted inside, Mr. Seed.”
A very polite way of telling him that Elliot, perhaps, was in the mood to throttle him with her bare hands. Though he didn’t really see the harm in spilling the news—perhaps with Via, sure, but Wyatt? The cowboy? Like that was ever going to be anything.
“Thanks for your help,” John said, clapping Wyatt on the shoulder before he made his way to the front steps. Via hadn’t moved. In fact, her normally polite expression was eerily cool—whatever amicable, feigned interest she had manicured for him in the past seemed to have evaporated in the wake of Elliot’s own fury.
As he neared, he said, “Something else you needed, Miss West?”
Via’s eyes narrowed. She looked at Wyatt, now inside the car, and then back to John. “You must think I’m mighty dumb, don’t you?”
John lifted an eyebrow inquisitively. “If you think I instigated that little outburst on purpose—”
“What I think,” Via replied, “is that you know exactly what she’s capable of handling. Just because you didn’t do it on purpose doesn’t mean you weren’t thinking of letting her physically assault a police officer.”
His easy-going expression flattened. Sylvia, and her seeing, the same kind of uncanny people-reading skills that Joseph had, too. Seeing his delight at knowing that Elliot would have taken on a man a foot taller than her, pregnant, if it meant keeping him away from the baby, if it meant keeping herself out of the grip of a greater power that wanted her in a psychiatric evaluation.
“I want to like you,” Via continued, taking the steps until she reached the bottom, “and I thought maybe you were here to make a real effort. But it seems like you’re the same person you were before, John Duncan.”
The name sent a jolt of red-hot anger flushing down his spine, filling him up suddenly with a sort of molten rage that only the reminder of his adoptive parents could have inspired in him. When Via went to move past him, he snatched her elbow, holding her in place.
“And where,” he ground out, “did you hear that name, Miss West?”
“It’s called a web browser, John,” Via replied coolly. “You ever heard of Google? Imagine how many John Seeds there are in Hope County, Montana. I don’t need to tell you that the articles regarding you and your brothers, though a bit old, are unflattering. And all I want you to know—” She paused, arm still in his grip. “—is that we’re aware of each other, and that I don’t want anything happening to Elliot.”
“Neither do I,” John replied tightly, “and I especially don’t want someone digging trenches where there’s not a war zone.”
Via regarded him with an even gaze for a moment, glancing back at the car where her brother sat, before she murmured idly, “Kindly take your hand off of my arm, John.”
“Ellliot’s already aware of the any of the information in those articles,” he continued lowly, “just so you know.”
“My point, John,” Via replied casually, “is that I know, and I can—and will—deal with it as I see fit. Now, you gonna take your fuckin’ hand off of my arm, or are we going to have a problem?”
He watched her for a moment—just long enough to consider the dopamine rush of killing her, grabbing a fistful of her hair and slamming her face into the top of the porch, doing something, anything to ensure that Sylvia West was not capable of messing up anything that he was doing—and then he planted a big smile on his face and dropped his hand from her arm.
“Careful,” he said, louder now so that Wyatt would hear, “it’s icy.”
The blonde didn’t respond. Instead, she brushed her hand absently where his had been, as though to brush herself free of his touch, and picked her way across the driveway and to the truck idling just on the other side of the jeep.
Well, that would be one less problem to deal with, in the end.
John made his way inside, closing the front door quietly behind himself and taking a moment to gauge. Just to see what was going on. The house itself was quiet, and Boomer’s little footfalls were nowhere to be heard, and Scarlet wasn’t sipping her vodka in the living room—so.
So.
So.
Taking a breath, he started up the stairs, turning into the hall to find Elliot’s bedroom door halfway ajar. He paused in the doorway; she was rifling through drawers, pulling sweaters and long-sleeved shirts and jeans and sweats out and dropping them into a duffel bag, furious little exhales occasionally coming out of her.
“I was told I was being summoned,” John said, Elliot’s attention razor-sharp and snapping to him immediately.
“Pack your shit,” she said briskly, “we’re leaving.”
He blinked. Taking a step inside, he glanced at Boomer—perched protectively between himself and Elliot—and said, “I thought we were waiting until after the Christmas party?”
“You’re not fucking deaf, John, you heard Pritchard,” she snapped. “The Feds have been asking about me. The only reason they don’t know exactly where to look—whoever it is—is because Pritchard’s a fucking asshole and likes to be as obstinate as possible.”
“And if we sprint out of here,” he replied, “you’re just going to draw their attention.”
“It’s what Pritchard wants.” Elliot zipped the duffel bag shut and then brushed past him into the bathroom, gathering up her toothbrush and toothpaste and the sleeping pills. “For me to be gone. He’ll piss off if I go. And there’s no way he’s going to put up a big fight to cozy up to the government.”
“Elliot.” John watched her furiously gathering things up, and then when she came by again he caught her with his hands. “Ell, just slow down—”
“Stop,” she bit out, “stop telling me what to fucking do, John, and—I told you not to touch me.”
He lifted his hands from her, but not far enough that she could duck past. “Are you that mad about Sylvia and Wyatt knowing you’re pregnant?” When she didn’t answer, and instead hauled the bag over from the other side of the bed to be close to her so that she could dump the collections from the bathroom into it, he sighed. “I didn’t know you hadn’t told them, but I don’t understand what all of the secrecy is about. The baby isn’t—”
“I felt normal!” Elliot replied sharply, her voice pitching a little higher now, and John heard the wet wobble in it too—the way the timbre of her voice thickened and rounded out with the threat of oncoming tears, her cheeks flushed with anger and maybe shame and pain, too. “Okay? I felt—I f-fucking felt normal, for once, and it was enough that Sylvia knew you and I had been—that we’re married, which I don’t even want to dig into right now, but it was another to be like—yes, the father of my fucking child, who I’m actually married to even though I didn’t want it, is here and oh, by the way? He’s part of a cult. Yeah, a fucking doomsday cult. I’m carrying the child of a doomsday cultist.”
“How was I supposed to know?” he demanded. “How was I supposed to know that you didn’t want Sylvia and her brother knowing you were pregnant? You never said. And what does it matter?” And then, feeling the petulance well up inside of him: “I know it probably felt nice, to have Wyatt giving you attention—”
“Are you fucking kidding me?” she asked, incredulous. “You’re really pulling that now? So, what—you dumped the news because you wanted to make sure my friend found me as off-limited as possible?”
John crossed his arms over his chest. “I know this may come as a shock to you,” he said, feeling the tension peeling apart behind his eyelids, “I really didn’t want Pritchard smoking near my baby.”
“My baby.” Elliot jammed her finger into his chest, just above his heart, her words vicious. “It’s our baby, or it’s my baby, but there isn’t a single fucking universe where the only person this baby is beholden to is you.”
“He’s,” John corrected, tartly. “He’s our baby. And at the end of the day, whether you like it or not—”
“Have you ever,” she cut in over him, biting the words out between her teeth, “done anything for me that wasn’t for you too?”
Watching her, the words sat sticky in his chest. His instinct was to say, of course I have, but that wasn’t true. Of course it wasn’t. And he wasn’t going to pretend like it was, either—because he wasn’t ashamed that everything he had done had been for them, that if Elliot wasn’t his then there would be no point in it, that it was a zero sum game where he either had her or he had nothing.
He said, evenly, “No.”
Elliot looked unseated by his honesty. She swept her fingers across her forehead tiredly and turned back to her bag. “Then do me a favor and pack your shit so we can go.”
John sighed. “Don’t you think—”
“John,” she bit out, “I am making an executive decision.”
“Alright, Ell.”
“And—”
John had turned to the door to go gather what few of his belongings he’d had when Elliot cut herself off, drawing his eyes over his shoulder to her again. She looked unwell—stressed, feverish, her hands buried into the duffel bag maybe to hide the shaking and her face flushed and her brows furrowed together.
“Thank you,” she managed out after a minute, “for being honest. For once.”
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Pratt brushed the snow from his hair, teeth chattering as he waded through knee-deep snow out towards the water. It had been three days, and Helmi had told him to meet her out there—how she was going to get past the compound’s security, Pratt didn’t know, but he also thought it probably was best not to dwell on the things that Helmi would do (and could do) to get where she needed to be.
Which is why he found himself less and less surprised to find her standing at the edge of the water, in the middle of the night, swathed up to her jaw in dark, heavy fabrics. The only part of her that wasn’t covered were her hands; the closer he got, he could see she was turning a smooth, dark rock over and over in her hands, passing it between them as she watched him come nearer.
“You remembered,” was how she greeted him, most of her face cast in shadow thanks to the high position of the moon behind her. Pratt shivered and jammed his hands into his coat pockets.
“Yeah, well, kinda hard to forget,” he replied. “Considering it’s been looming over me for the last few days.”
“Poor thing,” Helmi agreed, not sounding sympathetic at all. “Did you call her?”
Pratt paused, clearing his throat. There was something that didn’t quite sit right with him, knowing that he had called Elliot not out of a cry for her help—not really, anyway—but because this other cult wanted her. This cult, which had tore its way through Hope County splitting and gutting its residents, wanted her. And Helmi didn’t seem keen on telling him why.
“I did. They just got word that she and John are on the road now,” he said after a moment. “What, uh—do you want her for, anyway?”
Helmi quirked a brow at him, the corner of her mouth tilting upwards. “Shouldn’t you have asked that before making the phone call, if it was going to bother you?”
A little lick of shame and embarrassment crawled red-hot into his cheeks, and he scoffed, turning his face away. “Well, you said you wanted her alive. Can’t say the same for the Seeds.”
“She’s carrying John’s child,” Helmi pointed out. “You think they’d kill her still?”
Pratt grimaced. It was still hard to stomach—the idea that Elliot was with John. Or had been, at one point. It didn’t sound like things were going great, and he could only imagine why. Still—
Still, he thought there was a lesser of the two evils, and Helmi sounded like it. Maybe not the others, but Helmi.
“They don’t have a problem killing babies,” Pratt replied after a minute. “What are you going to do, once she gets here? They won’t let her leave, and they definitely won’t let you in.”
Now, the blonde grinned—pearly teeth in the dark of the night, surprisingly satisfied with herself. “Big one’s pissed at me, isn’t he?”
“Yeah. Well, you know, Faith too. You've been killing her angels.”
She shrugged. “I’ve got a plan. You know exactly as much as you need to know right now. Are you eating?”
The question came so quickly that Pratt didn’t have time to register the oddness of it, replying on automatic the same way he had been with Arden’s consistent, gentle pestering: “Yeah, I mean—don’t have much of an appetite, but...”
His voice trailed off and he glanced back at the woman. Her head was cocked and her eyes were fixed on him expectantly. “What?”
“Eat,” she told him. “Take advantage of as much as you can. And most of all, listen. Any information you can get will be helpful.”
Pratt’s throat felt a little tight. He kept thinking about the way Jacob had grabbed his shoulder, laughing when he’d insulted the woman doing the heavy lifting for Joseph—grinning like a fucking wolf, like he was going to be dinner, next.
He managed out, “He’ll kill me. If he suspects. He’ll take—everything, from me.”
Helmi planted a hand on his shoulder. The gesture made him want to flinch, but he bit back the urge, and he thought maybe she’d seen but didn’t say.
“He already took everything from you,” she replied lightly, “and do you know what that means?”
The dark of her gaze was intense, piercing even in the late night; it made it hard to look away. Voices echoed back in the compound, and briefly, he thought maybe they’d noticed his absence—but he only shook his head.
“It means you have nothing to lose,” Helmi murmured, “and everything to take back from him.” Her hand moved from his shoulder to the back of his neck, the pad of her thumb sweeping up to his pulsepoint pensively. “See? Your heart is beating, and hard. Your blood knows it’s what you want, even if you don’t yet.”
Swallowing thickly, he nodded his head once. Nothing to lose, and everything to take back. Could he? Could he get things back? Is that what Helmi had done? What Elliot had done?
“And don’t fuck it up,” she added, dropping her hand from his neck and zipping her coat up. Leaving so soon. She grinned. “Or I’ll gut you myself. And I guarantee, it won’t be an Återfödelse.”
A nervous, almost hysterical little laugh bubbled up out of him. Helmi shot him a look and then brushed past him, heading back into where the brush became the thickest, calling over her shoulder, “See you in a few days, Staci Pratt.”
A few days. A few days, Elliot would be back, and John Seed would be back, and Helmi would be seeing him. Seeing them. Maybe it would be better to make a break with Elliot, once she got in—but what if she didn’t want to? What if she was one of them?
Pratt let out a puff of hot breath, digging the heel of his palm into his eyesocket while the pain bloomed just there, turning and beginning to trudge back to the compound before anyone noticed his absence. Each scrape and puff of snow fell in line with his heartbeat, the mantra on and off again.
Nothing to lose.
Everything to take back.

A LunaTic and her Gunn (Part 109 2Xs2) "Welcome To The Hotel Diablo"

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
El Diablo begins play as the lights go up. The masses lose their minds at the sight of the full stage. Luna's next to Colson with Casie. Pete, Ashleigh, Dom and Ashley are close by. Sam's near Baze as Dub, Noah, Mod, Caroline, Naomi, Trippie and Skies spread out around them.
Only Colson has a mic but you can barely hear him as everyone rapid fires the lyrics with him. Luna dances with Pete, Ashleigh and Casie while teasing Colson as he moves around his friends on stage. All of them loudly shouting how they KEEP THEIR CIRCLE TIGHT.
It's a fun and unique sight. Something that will never be recreated again. A true gift from Colson to his original fan base.
"THANK YOU!! WE FUCKING LOVE YOU FAM!! SEE YOU AT ESTFEST!!" Colson screams as the lights go down one final time.
Kissing Casie's cheek, he glances over at Ashleigh. Her nod tells him she's Got It. With that, he slings a squealing Luna over his shoulder and trots OffStage. He's got his own Backstage Ritual to attend to.
------------------------------------------------
"That was so fucking intense, Bunny!" Luna exclaims once Colson sets her down.
"I know." His mouth buzzes into her's as they strip off each other's clothes.
Colson lifts Luna up onto the small table against the wall. Having lit a joint as he carried her down the hall, she lifts it to his lips.
"I love you." He lightly chuckles as he exhales.
Guiding his thick cock into her warm pussy, Luna groans out in pleasure. Wrapping her legs around him to pull him in closer as he begins to thrust into her. Luna sucks on Colson's neck before lifting the joint to his lips. Grabbing her by the back of her neck, he kisses her hard. Exhaling his hit and filling her lungs.
The extra carbon dioxide makes Luna heady. She closes her eyes and runs her hands through Colson's hair. Enjoying his cock as he plays with her pierced nipples and nibbles on her ear. There's a sweet electricity to Colson and Luna's sex. It's passionate and rough but not aggressive.
Clenching herself around his dick, Luna lowly moans out Colson's name. Letting him wash over her as she gets them high. Colson grips her ass and lower back, making his way deeper into her. With her head back and neck exposed, Colson draws his tongue over her tattooed skin before opening wide and biting her JUST enough to make them both cum.
"Holy FUUUUUCK, Bunny!!" Luna cries out as her body shakes with his in pleasure.
"Can't say I don't know your spots." Colson sighs with a grin as he kisses her.
"I love you too." Floats from between Luna's lips in a content sigh as she closes her eyes and leans her forehead against his.
-----------------------------------------------
Dressed in a pair of tight, black shorts, sheer tights, a printed black tank and knee high black boots, Luna's hair is still loose. Colson had tossed on a dark T and jeans while Luna had cut out their lines. Burning, kissing and snorting before making their way BackStage.
Everyone's in high spirits, celebrating the epic show and album's success. Casie reminds her dad of the necklaces and helps Colson pass off the coveted Double X chains to Naomi, Trippie, Ashleigh, Skies and Dub. They all go on to toast Colson, Hotel Diablo's release and each other while hugging and joking together.
It's not long before they have to head out to Velvet Dog for the release party. Casie gets huge GoodByes and Love before Bullet leads her and Ashleigh out to a private SUV. Her and Bullet will meet back up with them after dropping off Casie to Emma.

The rest of them pile into multiple other SUVs. They're headed DownTown to a smaller, more intimate nightclub. Each of them chatting, drinking and getting stoned along the way in the five seperate vehicles.
Leaving Agora wasn't a problem. Pulling up to Velvet Dog, they can see it's gonna be much more of a hassle getting in there. Fans and The Paparazzi are surrounding it from all angles. The venue's own security is doing it's best at controlling the chaos. Benny's driving Colson, Luna, Rook, Baze and Sam.
"What do you wanna do, Kells?" Benny asks looking over his shoulder.
"Fuck it, make a path and let's get the fuck in there." He shrugs at Benny. Turning to Luna, he looks at her seriously. "Do NOT let go of my hand." He asserts before kissing her.
Luna nods a silent Yes as Benny taps on the window. Grabbing Luna's hand, he confirms everyone's ready before opening the door. Making Luna laugh when he shouts WE OUT.
Outside in the dark it's bright. It's loud. People are aggressive and Colson is on a mission. Clutching Luna's hand, he pulls her through the crowd behind Benny. Colson's super focused. Knowing how much she hates crowds, he's trying to successfully get them inside before anyone can stop them, seperate them or say anything to piss either of them off.
He does. Like a champion. Winning him a thousand happy kisses from a grateful Luna.
-----------------------------------------------
Inside is just as crazy. Record executives are there. Other artists from Interscope. More family and friends from Cleveland along with fellow supportive friends who flew in from LA and Philly.
Normally ones to seperate and work their own aspects of a room, Colson keeps Luna close to him tonight. She doesn't mind, happily staying by his side as he introduces her to those she doesn't know and they greet mutual acquaintances and friends they have together. Watching them in action, they truly are a Power Couple. Both of them smart, charming, gorgeous and engaging. Easily laughing and enjoying each other as they glide through to the nightclub celebrating Colson and The Boys.
They run into Johnny, Colson's partner in his 27 Club coffee venture. Unlike Dub, Johnny isn't leery of Luna. Colson listening with amusement as the two easily connect over music, the pain of starting up a business and his shocking love of her paintings.
"Yeah, I caught your exhibit back in '15.... Your shit is incredible. I wanted to buy a piece but none of it was for sale surprisingly..." Johnny trails off with furrowed eyebrows.
"That's myyy girl for ya." Colson laughs as he tosses his arm carefully around Luna's shoulders. "Dawg, she's a snob. She don't sell shit... if I didn't hear them myself, I wouldn't even believe she has seven fucking records!" He laughs looking down at Luna's rolling eyes as he kisses her forehead.
"Maaan..." Luna begins to whine with a smile.
"Why don't you sell your stuff?" Johnny asks.
"I hate you." Luna lightly chuckles as she nuzzles her head against Colson's chest before answering Johnny. "Most of my physical work is made for someone or something intentional. I'm not comfortable with someone else owning something that holds my intimacy with another." She tries to explain to his accepting nod.
"So then why release your music?" Colson challenges her.
"Because that's universal.... And it's MY guts I'm bearing not some..."
"You got like 20 mins, Kells." Ashleigh interupts them.
"Oh shit, alright. You coming with me, Kitten?" He asks looking down at her.
"Of course." She reassures with a smile. "We'll catch up later. It was a pleasure to meet you." Luna beams as she shakes Johnny's hand.
Before he can agree, she's gone. Hand in hand with Colson. Blonde hair trailing behind her like a memory.
------------------------------------------------
Their performances during the record release party were equally on point. Some more fun while others are more thought provoking and gut wrenching.
Catching certain faces before he had hit the stage, Colson decided to have Luna pop OnStage during Hollywood Whore. Cutting in only to recite the changed lyrics the way he wanted her to. As always, on and off stage, Luna was nothing short of a wreckage to be dealt with. Her powerful voice reaming out the room with Colson's truth as she moved her tiny, tattooed body seductively around her Lover before propping herself against his slender one.
🎶It's because of y'all//He couldn't understand//The worth of his career//'Cause of y'all//He hated himself//For so many years//'Cause of you//He never thought//That he could trust//But//You better watch your back//Cuz he's about to wife//ME up🎶
Her slip in had been flawless. Sending their friends into an uproar as Colson grabbed Luna's ass. Neither missing a beat while she trotted OffStage.
The rest of the gig went off without a hitch. Smoke and lights exploded around them constantly while Naomi and Phem's voices were on perfect pitch. Trippie and Lil Skies nailed their own features with Colson and Dom killing their performance of I Think I'm Okay.
With no encore planned, Luna and Colson went HARD on Bad Things. Both of their voices strong as The Boys roared behind them and they passionately played and pushed off each other. Their performance intense and extremely sexual as Luna ran the stage with her presence and Colson with his guitar. To this day, it's both of their favorite times OnStage.
------------------------------------------------
Trying to escape to his dressing room with a laughing Luna over his shoulder, Colson is stopped. By Diddy and Jimmy Iovine of all fucking people. Setting her down, the couple addresses the two men.
"Yo!! Be proud, Son. That shit was fire!!" Diddy proudly proclaims as he pulls Colson in for a full on hug.
Luna and Jimmy stand eyeballing each other. He doesn't know what to say to her and she's not fucking up Colson's Big Night.
"You too, Kid!" Sean says to Luna as he pulls her in for a hug once he's released Colson.
"That was an extraordinary show." Jimmy says, offering his hand to Colson.
"Thank you. I appreciate that. I leave everything I have OnStage every time I perform." Colson answers as he shakes his hand.
"It shows." Jimmy nods his head, never seeing Colson perform before he's beyond impressed by the underrated artist.
"He's going overseas..." Sean says to Luna as Jimmy and Colson interact.
"I know." Luna answers with a nod.
"With Hotel Diablo debuting so high, if the momentum keeps up I'm adding more US dates after." He says as he studies her reaction.
"Then you better get us a bigger bus... And. I don't want fucking Don." Luna eyes Diddy with a seriousness to her tone.
"What's your problem with him?" He asks with a laugh.
"He's a fucking douche who has no respect for Colson.... You know how I feel about that, Sean." Luna giving two answers that they both know.
"Alright, no Don." Diddy laughs at her.
"And a bigger bus?" Luna pushes.
"We'll see." Colson's boss laughs at his girlfriend. "Just don't mention any extra dates. I don't wanna hype him up til I'm sure..."
"So, bigger bus?" Luna smirks.
"Yeah. Bigger bus, you bitch." Diddy laughs as he pulls her in for a hug. "He's lucky to have you. You're one of the very FEW I give into." He continues to laugh as he kisses her cheek.
"I know." Luna grins at him. "And I love and appreciate you for it." She asserts before squeezing him again tightly and making him laugh even more.
"You better marry this bitch before she changes her mind!" Diddy continues laughing as Luna releases him from their hug.
"Psh... As quick as I can, Boss." Colson laughs as Luna tucks herself under his arm.
"YEEEOOOOOO!!!" Comes a loud voice above them.
"Looks like you got more shit to attend to. We'll catch up soon. Congratulations, Slick. I'm proud of you." Diddy says, dapping it out and hugging Colson once more before disappearing with Jimmy.
"I SAID YEEEOOOOOO!!" Tyree shouts as he bursts through the BackStage crowd.
"My mans!!" Colson hollers in delight as they embrace each other while Lamar and Luna happily greet each other in the meantime. "You made it!!" Colson says excitedly.
"Yeah... But without Ash we'd be dust in the wind, Homie." Ree replies with an annoyed look.
"My bad, Yo. But you're HERE!!" Colson shouts as he pulls Luna, Lamar and Tyree in for a group hug.
"Look at these motherfuckers." Dub comes up with a laugh.
Lamar and Tyree turn to greet their longtime friend. Dapping and laughing, the boys catch up while Luna stands awkwardly amongst them. Finding her exit clause, Dub calls her out.
"She don't like me." He teases her.
"Nah, Motherfucker. Don't put that shit on me.... You're the one who came up in here all Strong Man, Strong Man." Luna cocks her lip as she narrows her eyes.
Standing amidst Lamar and Tyree, Colson can't help but laugh at Dub from behind her. They may know... But he has no idea what he's in for.
"I don't know what your fucking problem with me is or where the fuck you get your Word from but until you climb on that bus or in a house with us... You better check your resources MOTHERFUCKER cuz you don't know shit. Bestfriends or not, we can buck. Right here. Right fucking now." Luna snarls with squared shoulders and a deadly look in her eyes.
"Ho!! Calm down, Shorty!!" Dub laughs, putting his hands up. "Don't shoot. I don't wanna fight, I was just pressen' you. You know. I gotta make sure you live up to that hype if you gonna lock my boy down!" Dub continues to laugh.
"What's goin' on over here?" Slim asks as he throws his arms around Luna and Dub.
"You, Bitch." Luna asserts as she ducks out from under his weight. "Don't think I don't fucking know." She spouts as her drunken eyes bounce between Slim and Dub. "It's alright though... He'll learn just like you did." She asserts as she snakes her head at both of them before dropping a middle finger, a kiss on Colson's long neck and turning to find someone more fun to hang out with.
"For real?" Colson asks both of them.
"Hey, I'm just goin' off what Slim said." Dub defends himself.
"Dawg, I AIN'T SPOKE TO YOU IN LIKE A WEEK!!" Slim uncharacteristically shouts, refusing to be thrown under the bus.
"Annnnnnnnd?" Dub cocks back.
"SHIT CHANGES!!" Slim continues to holler at his high school friend.
"Yo... Yo... Yo... Chill." Colson interupts them. "If anyone should be pissed it should be me, you back alley bitches. You got questions, words or problems with me and Luna, you come to ME. Don't be a couple of old lady pussies talking shit behind my fucking back."
"It wasn't shit, Kells." Slim starts to explain.
"It was enough for Dub-O to form a negative opinion about her before meeting her though, wasn't it.?" Colson shoots back as he tries to hold his anger.
Slim looks down sheepishly at Colson's words. He hadn't trusted Luna. At all, for a while. Even after she'd thrown down for his bestfriend multiple times. It wasn't until she stepped up when Bleta threatened Ashleigh and Benny and refused to lie to Colson, did Slim finally accept her. Dub doesn't know these things though because he wasn't on tour with them.
"Hey... Hey... Hey..." Dub comes jogging up behind Luna. "I'm sorry..." He says as he grabs onto her shoulder.
It's the wrong choice. The music and noise are too loud. The small BackStage area is filled with too many people. Not hearing Dub and only feeling his firm hand upon her, the New Yorker in Luna kicks in as she turns and lands a solid blow straight into his nose. Busting it wide open as he stumbles back off of his feet and onto the floor.
"WHAT THE FUUUUUCK!!" Dub shouts as he grasps his face.
"Don't ever fucking touch me." Luna replies emotionlessly before grabbing her leather and disappearing.
------------------------------------------------
"Hey.... You okay?" Colson asks after finding Luna alone on the steps out back of the nightclub.
"I don't know... I think I'm losing my shit..." Luna sighs as she passes the lit joint she has to Colson.
"Why?" He asks as he takes a hit.
"I don't know... I just laid out one of your bestfriends, was rude to a fan on the street and fought with my Mom-Mom all in the last 3 days ." Luna let's out with an annoyed sigh.
"Why'd you fight with Patti?" Colson asks.
"Fuck me and my big stupid mouth." Luna mentally curses herself.
"It's nothing." She tries to brush Colson off.
"No, it's not." Colson isn't having her bullshit, he knows Luna doesn't fight with her grandmother.
"I need a PreNump." She sighs with frustration.
"Okay?" Colson asks with confusion.
"What do you mean okay?" Luna's drunk and irrational.
"I mean okay. I'm not marrying you for your shit so.... OKAY. I'll sign whatever as long as I still get YOU. That's all I want, Baby." His voice breaks as he climbs on to the step behind her and wraps himself around a confused Luna. "You."
"You don't care what the PreNump includes?" She asks with a slight attitude.
"No. I don't give a fuck." Grabbing her chin, he pulls her eyes to him. "I'm marrying you, Luna. Not THAT Brooklyn Bitch. Not Patti Smith and Robert Maplethorpe's granddaughter. Not the coolest chick in The World. Just you. My own personal Addy." He grins as he begins to attack her with sweet, sloppy kisses.
"Ahhhh!!! Stop!" Luna giggles as she tries to wiggle out of Colson's grasp. It doesn't work. Submitting, she holds his face in her hands as she stares into his beautiful blue eyes. "Thank you." She says first as she gently kisses his lips. "And I'm sorry for hitting Dub."
"He shouldn't have fucked with you." Colson replies with a shrug and a smirk. "Back inside, please?" He asks as he stands and offers Luna his hand.
"Yeah." She agrees as she rises to kiss him.
------------------------------------------------
Back inside, the nightclub is going off. The DJ playing Hotel Diablo again in full as everyone dances and grooves. The words maybe alarmingly dark but the bop is on point.
"Yo. My bad." Dub immediately approaches Colson and Luna. "I was just trying to fuck wit you and clearly I shouldn't." He apologizes with a light laugh.
"No. I shouldn't have just swung, I'm sorry." Luna apologizes as she begins to rub her forehead.
"Nah, Ma, you good. I pushed to see how hard you'd rock... I didn't expect this shit but now I know!" Dub laughs at himself.
"I still feel like an Asshole." Luna admits.
"You good. I'd rather have Kells with a chick holding a solid right than some VSCO boujie bitch. We ride hard... And as much as it kills me to say it... I think you might ride harder!" Dub laughs again as Colson joins him.
"Enh... I got my name for a reason. Still, I'm really sorry about all that." Luna says as she gestures towards his nose.
"Stories, B. Stories." Dub winks at her with a smile as he opens his arms.
With that, Luna and Dub become friends. Her appreciating the lengths he will go to for Colson. Him respecting her fierce loyalty and the strong right fist she has for herself and her man.
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
The album release party is still in full swing. Colson dips off as Luna grabs her and Dub drinks before she looks at his nose. Apologizing for the thousandth time to his laughter before they make their own way into the party.
Sam and Baze are making out like teenagers in a corner. Luna finds Naomi, The Ash's and Dom as Floor 13 kicks in. Drinks in hand, they jive, jerk and rap along Colson and the unique beat. Colson's with Slim, Benny, Pete, Mar, Ree and Dub by the bar busting it up. Noah, Caroline, Mod and Phem find Luna, the Ash's and Dom, easily coaxing them to the dance floor as Roulette begins. Rook can be found macken' on girls with Trippie and Skies while Bullet watches all from his perch at the bar.
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
"What cha guys doin'..." Luna asks as she approaches The Boys at the bar.
Bad choice. Colson and Pete immediately pounce on her like the night at 30 Rock. Linking their arms together, they catch her again like they're playing London Bridge. Shaking her all about as they happily sing their made up song.
🎶We gotta Moon Pie. We'll never let her get by🎶
"Whhhyyyy????" Luna moans as they justle her back and forth.
🎶Even when she asks why. She's our drunken Moon Pie🎶
They continue to laugh as they toss her around. It takes strategic planning to get out of a mess like this, only a skilled mind could handle the pressure. Being a smart cookie, Luna turns and throws her arms around Colson's neck and pulls him in for a perfectly distracting kiss. With her fingers climbing up his neck into his hair and her tongue dancing in his mouth, Colson has no choice but to let go of Pete's hands as they begin to roam around Luna. Pressing his large palm in between her shoulder blades as he kisses her deeply.
"Man... Fuck you guys." Pete complains as he leaves them be.
"🎶And a Moon Pie got away🎶 Luna sings to herself as she enjoys Colson's mouth much more than his and Pete's stupid ass game.
"Mmmm... You may taste good but you're not slick." Colson smirks once their mouths seperate.
"I don't know what you're talking about." Luna replies with a devilish smile.
"Okay, Moon Pie." Colson laughs before kissing her again. "Grab a drink?" He asks as he gazes at her.
"Yeup." Luna smiles brightly at Colson, standing on her tippy toes to kiss him before they make their way to the bar.
"KELLS!!!" Naomi comes barreling up to Colson, grabbing him around the waist into a huge hug. "I haven't seen you but I met Luna!!" She exclaims. "I LOVE her. Where is she??" Naomi adamantly asks.
"Right here." Colson laughs, pointing behind him to Luna's back, she's facing the bar ordering them drinks.
"She is the best." Naomi drunkenly decides. "Do you know that she keeps dry shampoo in her bag and that she's got these weed candies that taste like yellow SweetTarts? She gave me two. One for now and one for later... Who does that, Bro? She's like a tiny, beautiful, little, tattooed drug pixie. I think you should marry her." Naomi declares.
"Good thing you chose first then, hunh?" Luna comments with a huge smile as she joins Colson and Naomi.
Holding her Old Fashioned, she passes Colson his Henny straight up. Always having a trick up her sleeve, Luna easily passes Naomi her seltzer and lime as a vodka and seltzer. She's too drunk to tell the difference and water is gooood.
"I love this SON OF A BITCH!!" Naomi shouts as she grabs ahold of Colson. "Will you take a quick picture of us?" She asks Luna, handing over her phone.
"Sure... Hold on... Ready?" Luna asks trying to set them up.
It's in the the dark. On a phone's camera. In a club. Looking at it, it is definitely NOT her best work.
"I can retake it." Luna offers.
"No!! I love it" Naomi gushes as she hugs Luna. "Catch you later?" She asks, pointing at Colson's confused nod. Two quick kisses to each of their cheeks and she's off with a "Cool... Love you guuuuyyyysssss!"
"She's fantastic." Luna states as she watches Naomi disappear.
"SHOTS!" Rook hollers as he makes his way towards Luna and Colson.
"So, I heard you hit Dub." Rook immediately states once they've downed the clear liquor.
"What the fuck... I'm never gonna live that down." Luna groans as she puts her head in her hands.
"Nope." Colson and Rook say in unison, their laughter makes Luna groan even more.
The release party keeps going. Top shelf liquor easily flowing. Everyone's having a blast. Dancing, drinking and joking as they enjoy each other's company. They keep the party rolling until they're kicked out around 430A.
-----------------------------------------------
Almost EVERYBODY comes back to Colson's. That would be The Blonde Don himself, THAT Brooklyn Bitch, Rook, Ashley, Dom, Lamar, Tyree, Noah, Caroline, Phem, Mod, Trippie, Skies, Benny, Bullet and a gaggle of girls.
Ashleigh had decided to go home to her family instead. While Baze and Sam tried to catch some privacy at his spot and Naomi some sleep in her hotel. Slim deciding not to go home but to follow the party as it rages on.
Always having instruments on hand, they begin a jam session. Starting off with the original riffs from Hotel Diablo before twisting them into acoustic versions. Luna and Noah subbing in for Naomi when needed.
Alcohol and blunts roll through the room as they run through different songs, joke and laugh at each other. The party going well into the ACTUAL sunshining morning.
"Yo. That could work.... That acoustic jawn. It's something different and totally sick..." Slim tells Colson as he stops him and Luna on their way upstairs, knowing exactly the seed he's planting.
-----------------------------------------------
"I'm so proud of you." Luna coos as she pulls off her shirt and bra.
"I'm proud of those titties!" A naked Colson laughs. "Now bring 'em hear!" He demands as he pulls Luna closer to him and buries his face in her plump breasts.
"Mmmm.... Show me more of what your proud of." Luna giggles.
"I'm proud of this nipple and this nipple." He says as he lightly nips at them. "I'm proud of this scorpion." He says as he traces it with his tongue. Pulling her shorts off, he kisses each thing. "I'm proud of this leg and this leg...." Colson looks up at her with a cocky grin, grabbing her ass cheeks he pulls her closer to his face. "I'm proud of this pussy." His deep voice says, his lips just barely touching her lips but his baritone easily vibrating her skin.
"Alright." Luna pants as she pulls his face up to hers. "You got me, now give it to me." She says after she kisses his soft lips.
"Get on the bed the way I like." Colson directs Luna.
On all fours she goes, ass in the air, perky and dying in anticipation. Colson gives her one HARD
❗SLAP❗
Making her squirm in delight before dragging her closer to him by her hips. Running his fingers along her lips he can feel her dripping for him. Reaching around, he sticks his finger in her mouth as he enters her. Luna's back arches as she sucks her juices off his finger. Both moaning in pleasure as Colson makes his way deep inside of her.
Releasing her mouth, Colson slaps her ass again. Making Luna buck against him. Slamming her ass into his hips as he fucks her from behind. Colson runs his hand up Luna's bare slender back to the base of her hair. Wrapping his fingers inside her long locks, he grips her hip tighter. Demanding her to cum.
Luna's already came twice before so a yank of the hair is just icing on the cake. Letting her body go, she shakes and quivers as she feels Colson's dick pulsate inside of her as he drops his load.
"Fuck, Luna." Escapes from his pants as he moves her hair to kiss her lower neck, making her purr.
They lay there quietly, Colson's still inside of Luna as he plays with her hair. Just as she's about to drift off, his voice brings her back to reality.
"You're still gonna go tomorrow?" Colson asks lowly as they lay together.
"I have to." She replies lightly as she tries to train her breath.
"You HAVE to take a shit. "You don't HAVE to see Jackson." Colson states as a matter of fact as he rolls out of her.
"But I do have to mindfully wipe my ass after I take a shit." Luna retorts irritated by his frustration.
"What does that even fucking mean?" Colson jerks his head to look at her.
"I don't know..." She giggles as she pulls his face close. "I don't wanna fight though... Can we just be? We never get to just be." Luna says as she drunkenly snuggles into Colson neck.
"You're coming home tomorrow?" He asks with a trembling assertiveness to his tone.
"Absolutely.... Now, can we just be Us?" She answers with a pout as she lifts her head to kiss his neck in reassurance before snuggling deeper into him.
"Yeah, we can just be Us." He sighs as he holds her naked body close to his and kisses her tossled hair.
"It better be just Us...." Colson's heart pounds. "I swear to God, I'll kill 'em both.... Fuck, she's gonna leave me like my mom... She can't... I'll will FUCK some MAJOR shit up... Calm down, Kells. You trust her.... Don't fuck this up by spinning out.... You're not Justin.... You've got her. She KNOWS that.... She loves you." Colson's mind is trying to battle all the underlying insecurities that are bubbling up.
"Bunny... You feel alright?" Luna sits up asking.
"Yeah... Why?" Colson lies.
"Because I can feel you not breathing and your heart pounding through your chest... So... What's up?" She asks as she begins to stroke his hair.
"Ahhhh... Nerves." He sighs, half lying now.
"About?" Luna pries as she continues to stroke his blonde hair.
"Fucking Jackson." He slightly admits as he reaches for a joint.
"And...." Luna continues to lead as he sparks it.
"And that you'll leave me like my mom did." He exhales a cloud of frustrated smoke.
Luna pulls Colson into her chest. Stroking his hair again, she's silent as they share the joint. It's not an awkward silence. It's the sad silence of two children who never had their mothers for different reasons.
Once the joints finished, neither need to speak. Colson reaching over to turn the side light off as Luna slides down comfortably into the bed. Resting his head on the pillow with her arm under his neck, they lay face to face in the dark. Colson pulls her closer by the small of her back as they tangle their legs inside each other. Luna let's out a shuddered breath of content as she falls into Colson's body and hold. Stroking his face, in the dark, there's no words. Just a heartfelt, lingering kiss and one thought that drifts between them both as they fall asleep.
"FUCK, I fucking love you."

I took a deep breath and threw myself against the backrest, waiting for the first location to load while my hands ran through up my face and through my hair.
A yawn escaped my lips as I checked the laptop's clock first, and the timer for the code to do its magic second.
Leaving the laptop over the chair where I had been sitting, I walked my way to the kitchen and poured myself what would be the fourth coffee of that morning.
As soon as I finished, I made my way to the balcony were I used to spend those early mornings with my mug held between my palms.
I took a sip of my coffee, resting my elbows over the small balcony's railing. My were eyes closed as I breathed in the forest morning breeze.
"So much for saying it was a one-night stand." A teasing voice behind me asked, and a grin tugged the corners of my lips. "You still here?"
"It's been two weeks since that." I taunted him, taking a sip. "get over it."
"can't get over you." He dramatically stated in his morning husky voice, which made the sentence seem way more romantic than I thought it was.
"So fucking cheesy." I laughed.
"Bare with me, doll." feeling his lips against my temple made my smile wider while a pair of hands traveled from behind me to rest on my hips. "this is mine." he tugged the hem of his jacket, which I was wearing.
I hummed in response, leaning my back against his chest. "It's chilly out here. I didn't wanna get cold."
He tugged the hem of his jacket eagerly, feathery kisses tracing a path from my shoulder to my neck "come back to bed" I chuckled at his eagerness . " it's still warm."
"I got work to do" I replied noctant with the sole goal of sort-of upsetting him in a playful way. "No time for cuddling."
"Please, Y/n." he whined, slowly pulling me away from the balcony to take me back to the bed. "Just ten minutes."
"It's not gonna be ten minutes." I retorted playfully, turning around to kiss his lips as we entered the bedroom once more. "You're not fooling anyone with those puppy eyes, Barnes."
He let out a subtle laugh "at least you won't get cold."
I shivered.
It was always a little bit too chilly during the morning in that balcony.
I felt the urge to squeal when a jacket was suddenly thrown over my shoulders as a reply to my subtle shiver.
I held it back, though, and instead, grabbed the lapels clothing offered and put it on while a tall figure made its way to my side "Drop the coffee, yunky." Sam teased, resting his elbows over the railing without sparing me more than a subtle glance. "it's like the tenth one I see you with this mornin'."
"It's just the fourth one." I responded, looking before me to avoid eye contact with him as I took a sip of the coffee. "It's nice to see your level of drama hasn't changed at all."
"it's good to see your level of sarcasm is still the same, too." I shook my head with a smirk I couldn't hold back. "I kinda missed that annoying sass."
"Oh boy, ain't I aware of that."
His amused yet brief chuckle preceeded a surprisingly soothing silence between the two of us.
"So" I looked over to him and, by the knowing half smile in his face as he watched me intently, I just knew what he was going to mention. "a boyfriend?"
"Hell no," I denied with a scoff. "we're not talking 'bout that."
"C'mon, Y/n." he whined, turning to face my side. "I won't tell Barnes."
"Sam" I pinched the bridge of my nose as all the bad memories from those last days with them came back around, as if they had been summoned by Bucky’s last name. "I still don't trust you. Any of you."
"Uh... Sorry."
"Like-- I appreciate you tryin" I explained the best way I could. "but we're not there yet, and I don't know if we ever will."
"Yeah I'm-"
I shut my eyes as the self-awareness of how rude I might have sounded hit me. "I'm sorry I-"
"No, no, I'm sorry, you're right." he sighed, rubbing is hands together in an anxious manner. "And... I know it's not my place to ask any of this, but-" he took a split second to measure his words before speaking. "You're happy with him, right?"
I frowned, not at the question itself, but at what was carefully hidden behind it. "what d'ya mean?"
"I mean, you're with him because he makes you happy, right?"
"Wilson, why the fuck would I be with him if he didn't?" I inquired, now turning around to face him as my tone turned more hostile each passing second.
"I shouldn't be sayin' this but-"
"But you're gonna say it anyway." I finished. He opened his mouth a couple of times but nothing came out. "C'mon, what d'ya mean?"
"Listen-" he glanced around before continuing the sentence he had just started. "I'm just sayin I hope it's 'cause you're happy together and not 'cause of Bucky."
We eyeballed each other for a hot second while the anger built up inside me, making it so damn hard for me not to explode.
"Y'know what? I'm not havin' it." I stated, stepping away from the balcony in order to reach the living room.
"That's not an answer."
"You don't fuckin' deserve one." I hissed, grabbing the laptop to finish what was left to do as quickly as I could, now eager to flee out of there.
How dare him? I thought to myself. Who the fuck gave him the right to say shit like that.
The moment I was done with the laptop, I smacked it shut and, picking up my jacket, I rushed downstairs.
I was so inside my thoughts that I ended up bumping into Bucky on my way out, which left us both with barely enough balance to avoid falling down the stairs.
"Shit- sorry."
"Don't worry." he let go of my forearms, which I didn't know he was holding, and I shockingly enough, had to do the same, since I gripped his arms to avoid falling. "You okay?"
"Yeah- I mean..." I puffed, affirming with my head. "I'm fine."
"I..." I stared into his eyes for a moment, watching him trying to read me in order to find out what was wrong. "You sure?" I only nodded as his worried irises observed me. "you finished?"
"Yeah, everything's set in the laptop already." he mumbled an 'alright' and stepped aside, freeing the way for me to exit. "I... I really hope you find her."
"I'll call you if I need your help again." he answered, and, right after, attempted to climb upstairs.
"Bucky wait!" I followed him just to be close enough to be able to grab his hand, which made his whole body tense. "I changed my number." I explained whilst getting a pen out of my pocket to scribble my new number on his palm. "there it goes." I let go of him with a pang of sadness that I wouldn't even admit to myself. "keep me updated." I requested, trying my best to ignore the tinge of red creeping up his neck and ears.
"Okay. Have a good time with your boyfriend." what was meant to be a smile ended up as a pursed lip, and I couldn't blame him since I felt my mouth doing the same gesture as I climbed downstairs to the door.

BUCKY'S P. O. V.
I double checked Natasha's phone's latest locations, which Y/n had managed to get before leaving, before going back to the map in order to revise which were areas out of New Jersey and Queens.
"Hey" I spun my head to the door frame, against where Sam's side was now resting. "How's it going?"
"Uh... I think we have something." I informed him, pointing at one small area near the center of Manhattan. "I called Carter— I know, Steve's gonna kill me." I stated, anticipating whatever Sam must have thought of saying out loud. "She said Hydra's boys have been seen in this area for a while and--"
"I wasn't asking 'bout Nat." he cut me off, tilting his head to the side slightly while the faintest tinge of worry showed up in his eyes. "I meant-- y'know what I meant."
"What d'ya want me to say?" I questioned with a wannabe-careless shrug. "It's going. Just like it's been goin' for 'bout year already."
I took a peek at his face and I just knew he was about to explain to me how different it had been today from the rest of that year of me drowning in self-pity.
"Don't-"
"She got a boyfriend."
"Yeah, I heard that too." I replied sarcastically, getting up in order to reach for the phone again.
"What I mean-"
"She moved on, I know." I finished his sentence, starting to mark Peggy's number once again. "Can you focus on-"
Sam teared the phone away from me in a swift movement, which left me shocked for a couple of seconds.
"what the hell, Wilson?"
"Don't call Peggy," he warned me, locking the phone and placing it in his pocket. "Steve's gonna end you. And-"
"I swear if it's 'bout-"
"I wasn't gonna say that she moved on, you idiot." he snapped. "I was gonna say, don't do anything fucking stupid."
"What the hell does that mean?"
"It means she's not single." my friend warned me with arms crossed, no longer resting against the door frame. "It means that if somethin' happens and she doesn't stop it-"
"Nothin'll happen," I assured him with a sting of pain in my heart.
He sighed, scratching the back of his neck. "I'm just sayin'..."
"Sam."
"I'm tryna help, man." his reply sounded as a desperate whine. "If you do something stupid and her relationship goes south, the blame's gonna be on you."
"It wouldn't-"
"It will," he argued, lowering the voice before continuing. " 'cause it's easier to blame the ex who fucked her up."
"We're all adults."
"Yeah" he agreed. "but you're my friend and I don't wanna see you bawling and weeping for another year."
"I'll be just fine."

"Mum! What are you– why– huh?"
"Lovely to see you too, dear," my mum said, inviting herself into my flat. "It's been a while."
I blinked several times, shutting the door behind her. "It has... how did you even know where I lived?"
She took off her expensive-looking coat and I watched as her eyes scanned the room, searching for a place to hang it. She decided on hanging it on her arm, holding it to her chest, as if there was nowhere good enough for it.
"It wasn't very difficult," she said, a judgemental expression on her face, eyeballing my flat. "No help from you, might I add. You've never invited me over."
"I didn't think you'd want to come," I admitted, leading her to the kitchen.
I motioned for her to take a seat on the stool as I put the kettle on, knowing she'd want a cup of tea.
"You never asked, so how would you know?" she countered, resting her hands on the countertop hesitantly. "Besides, I didn't come here to make you feel bad–"
"Oh, that was just a plus..."
"–I came to invite you to my wedding," she finished, making me stop my actions for a moment. My back was to her, so I couldn't see her face, but I was taken aback myself and tried not to show it.
"You're marrying Isaac?" I asked, finally turning around, my face expressionless.
"I am," she said, a small smile on her lips. "He proposed a few days ago."
I nodded and my mouth formed an 'O' shape. I wasn't sure why I was feeling weird about this whole thing. It's not like I didn't like Isaac – he was a lovely man who cared about my mother. In fact, he was the only person who could set her down from her high horse and make her seem more human-like. It was just so random, I guess.
"I thought it would be fitting, seeing as you're my only child, for you to be my maid of honour," she said, meeting my eyes.
I heard the kettle whistle and accepted the distraction, deciding to fill our mugs with water. I was adding the milk when she cleared her throat.
"It's rude not to respond, Y/N," she said, making me roll my eyes. Same old mum.
"Congratulations," I answered, turning around and setting a cup of tea before her. "When's the wedding?"
"Next week," she said, making me raise my eyebrows with surprise. "Being wealthy has its perks. We've already planned most things. It's in Hawaii. A week long. I'm hoping you can make it?"
    My jaw dropped. "Hawaii?!"
My mum rolled her eyes. "Yes, dear. I've already got everything sorted out. Including your tickets. Will you come?"
"I guess that wouldn't be so bad, but you said tickets as in more than one. Who are you expecting me to bring?"
"I know you don't tell me much on our weekly phone calls, but I'm assuming you're with someone," she said, sure of herself.
    "Well, actually I'm–"
"Bring them with you," she said sternly. "I don't want you to show up–"
"Alone and embarrass all of your rich upper-class friends?" I finished, holding my mug and smiling knowingly at my mum.
"Don't put words into my mouth, Y/N," she said, narrowing her gaze before wrapping her hands around her own mug. "I just want everyone to know you're doing well. Even if it means bringing that blonde-headed girl with you."
I furrowed my eyebrows. "What– Who are you talking about? What girl?"
She pointed a finger over her shoulder. "The framed photo? Of you and that blonde? She's your girlfriend, right?"
I almost choked on my tea. "You mean Brie? She's not–"
"I'll try not to be too offended by the fact that you hid this from me," she interrupted, once again not listening to a word I was saying. "It's very like you to not tell me anything important happening in your life–"
    "Mum! That's completely–"
"–but I'm happy for you, Y/N. And I'm excited to meet her. I know I'll probably only be introduced at the actual wedding but–"
    "Mum, she's not–!"
"–I'd appreciate it if you arranged a meeting before then," she finished.
I sighed through gritted teeth. This was one of the reasons she was so infuriating to me. She never listened to a word I said, instead choosing to listen to what she wanted. This was one of the reasons I distanced myself from her.
“You know, it's good that you're with someone," she added as an afterthought. "I wasn't sure you would be, considering..."
"Considering what exactly?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Well, you've not exactly achieved a lot, have you?" she said knowingly.
"I'm a school councillor and I help teenagers get through difficult times," I said proudly. "I think I've achieved quite a bit if it means making someone's day easier. It's a rewarding career."
She stifled a smile. "If you say so, Y/N... look, I know I don't say it much, but I'm proud of you. Technically I haven't seen you both together, but to know that you're in a relationship is a good thing. I'm excited to meet this 'Brie' woman."
I paused, finding it odd to see her staring at me with a sense of pride. She suddenly chose to express her feelings when she thought I was in a relationship? I hated that I felt like that little girl I once was, trying her very hardest to make her mum proud. Because now I felt the need to do it again, even though I knew I didn't need to.
"Darling, I'm home!" Brie's familiar voice called through the flat, followed by the sound of the front door shutting and her laughter.
"I wasn't aware that you shared flat with her," my mum noted, smiling over the rim of her cup before taking a sip.
I facepalmed at the sound of Brie's footsteps nearing us. It was a bit between us – pretending we were a married couple because we'd been living together for two years now. Right now though, I could see how my mum thought otherwise...
"Y/N, I have the funniest– oh! I'm sorry, I wasn't aware we had company," Brie said upon entering the kitchen. A friendly smile was on her lips as she dropped her bag by the counter and stood by my side, opposite my mum.
"Brie, this is my... mum," I mumbled, gripping my mug. "Mum, this is Brie..."
Brie gave my mum her perfectly angelic smile and outstretched her hand over the counter.
"Lovely to finally meet you, Brie," my mum said, and it was the first time I'd seen her smile without it being because of something business-related or Isaac. She shook Brie's hand, saying, "Y/N here never mentioned your existence, but it's a pleasure."
Brie chuckled, looping her arm through mine and pulling me close. "I'm not surprised. It took me a while to dig basic facts out of this one when we first met. It's a pleasure to meet you, too, though, Miss Y/L/N. Y/N's actually mentioned you a few times, so it's nice to put a face to a name."
My mum seemed surprised at this, as she shot me a look. She looked back to Brie, smiling.
    "Please, call me Y/M/N, Brie."
I looked between the two, the agitation I was feeling towards my mum slowly disappearing as I saw her looking genuinely happy and, dare I say it... proud? Was this finally a way to make her actually see me?
"...Y/N will share the details with you but you must attend our wedding next week."
Brie raised her eyebrows. "Wow, really? I mean, we've only just met and–"
"You're important to Y/N, so you're now important to me," my mum cut her off, before standing up. I won't accept anything other than a yes." She was adamant, though her tone was lighthearted.
Brie laughed. "Okay, I guess that's a yes. Especially if it means I get to see this one in a dress." She nudged me playfully, making me smile a little.
"Tickets are already taken care of," my mum said, reaching into her coat pocket before setting two sets of tickets on the counter. Brie looked to me with surprise. I didn't know what to say at this point. "I must get going now, but thank you for the tea, Y/N," my mum said, finishing her last sip before standing up. She looked to me with a genuine smile and sense of pride, making me feel lighter. Was I actually impressing her? Just because I had a (what she thought to be) girlfriend?
"Er, yeah, no problem, mum," I said, letting go of Brie and leading my mum to the door.
"It was a pleasure to meet you, too, Brie," my mum added as I opened the door.
"Congratulations on your engagement, Y/M/N," Brie said, smiling. "Thank you again, for inviting us."
My mum returned the smile, making me do a double take. She was actually happy. She stopped at the doorway, looking between us both, before nodding at me.
"You're a lovely couple," she complimented, and it was probably the third time in my life she'd paid me a compliment. "I can't wait for my friends to see you both."
Brie chuckled. "What? Wait, d'you think–"
"Thanks, mum," I interrupted Brie, instead intertwining our fingers for my mum to see. I looked to Brie, giving her a look. "D'you want to say thank you, darling?"
Brie seemed to understand, though I could sense her confusion. Nonetheless, she plastered a smile on her face and pulled me close, looking to my mum.
"Thank you, Y/M/N," she said, flashing my mum her signature Brie smile, though her cheeks were now a little pink. "And thank you for stopping by."
My mum pulled us both in for a brief hug, making me freeze up with shock. She wasn't the touchiest of people, so this was definitely a rarity.
"I think we should meet up before the wedding," she said when she pulled away. "How would you girls like to come to dinner at mine? Tomorrow night? Y/N, you know the address."
I was taken aback at her invite. She was thinking about me. Wanting to know me. What alternate universe was I on?
"Sure thing, mum, we'll be there," I said to her. Was I that desperate for an ounce of my mum's attention that I'd lie to her? I guess so.
"Yeah, we'll see you then," Brie added, smiling, though I saw her spare me a confused glance.
"Perfect. I'll see you then." My mum gave me one last look over before turning to leave.
I closed the door behind her before releasing a breath, feeling the tension in my chest unknot. Same effect, as always.
"Care to share what just happened, sweetie?" Brie said in a teasing high-pitched voice, raising our intertwined hands.
"My mum happened," I groaned, going to the couch to flop onto it face-first.
"Y/N, why does your mum think we're dating? It now makes sense why she would suddenly invite me to Hawaii when I just met her, but yeah, I'm a little lost still."
I heard Brie's voice get closer and I assumed she was sat on the chair beside me.
"Because she likes to think she has the perfect daughter when she doesn't," I said, my voice slightly muffled.
    "Y/N..."
I sighed before sitting up, meeting Brie's concerned gaze. "I'm sorry... she just came out of nowhere. She's never even been here. She's getting married and wants me to be the maid of honour so she can impress all of her rich snobby friends. And she thinks we're dating because she saw a photo of us and didn't listen to me when I tried to tell her we weren't."
"Well, you might want to tell her otherwise because she thinks we're going to her wedding..."
I smiled awkwardly. "Maybe because we are...?"
    Brie raised her eyebrows. "Y/N?"
"Oh, come on," I said, trying to sound convincing, "it won't be bad! She already thinks we're together and I've never seen her look so proud of me before. Did you know that was the first hug she's given me in three years?"
    Brie widened her eyes. "Really?"
I nodded. "She and I aren't very close... she cares too much about what other people think of her. Of me. I left as soon as I could afford to and have been fine ever since. We talk every now and then, but nothing meaningful... she's my mum, though, and I guess I want her to be proud of me. This is the first time she's been remotely interested in my life. She invited me to dinner tomorrow! She's never done that!"
"Y/N, that sucks and I'm really sorry," Brie started, a frown on her lips, "but this is crazy. We can't just be girlfriends to impress her. You can't lie to her." She avoided my eyes, her cheeks growing pink, making me wonder why she was suddenly so embarrassed.
"Oh, I can," I said, nodding my head. "Look, it won't be long. Just her engagement party and the wedding and it's done. Plus it's in Hawaii, so it'll be like a holiday! I just want her to be proud of me. It won't be hard, I mean, we're already close and how many times have people thought we're a couple?"
    She quirked an eyebrow. "Never?"
"The mail man!" I pointed out, a little unconvincingly. "Remember? He thought we were girlfriends."
"He was also sent to prison for perving on the neighbours," she added, studying me curiously.
I waved my hand dismissively. "Prison, shmison. Look, I'll love you forever if you do this one thing for me."
"Oh, so you don't love me forever now?" she asked teasingly, a smile tugging at her lips.
"You know I do," I said, returning the smile. "Come on. What could go wrong?"
She pursed her lips, watching me. I smiled hopefully, moving closer to her and resting my hands on hers. She sighed, rolling her eyes, as if to distract from her now red cheeks.
"Fine, I'll do it," she gave in, making me grin and jump on her, pulling her in for a hug.
"Thank you, thank you, thank you!" I said, kissing her face several times.
She laughed, shoving me off her. "You're welcome, idiot. Now. I need the rundown on your mother. She's a... unique character."
I nodded, a grin on my lips. "You got it.

You had been at the ranch for two weeks. Two excruciatingweeks of you constantly looking over your shoulder, worried people would findout what you did. You knew that there was no chance that people would find out,but you were scared nonetheless. That night at the hotel hauntedyou day and night, so much so that you barely managed to look at yourself in amirror.
When you had come to the border control post, you were readyto die. But you didn’t. Instead, Troy offered you to come to the ranch. Youdreaded the thought of living in a community. How could you live with others ifyou couldn’t even live with yourself? But then you had found out about theexperiments. You weren’t supposed to, but you more or less stumbled upon it.People were being killed for research. You were appalled at first, but then yourealized something. They were monsters, but so were you. And so in the end, youhad decided to accept Troy’s offer and they had taken you back to the ranch.
And for two weeks, that was where you had been. It was stillhard for you to be around people, pretend that things were normal, so youmostly spend your time with Troy. You two had a connection, a bond that manypeople, maybe even he himself, couldn’t quite understand. But you knew. Youshared the same cruelness, the same indifference to killing. A match made inheaven, or rather, hell. Nothing hadhappened between you yet, but there was chemistry. You couldn’t deny you wereinterested in him, and you were almost sure he was interested in you as well. And so, everything on the ranch had been okay.
Or it had been, until Troy came back from an oil run to theborder.
You had heard a commotion that the caravan had come back, soyou were headed for the gate when you ran into Troy. He was wearing a bloodybandage over his eye.
“What happened?” you asked, walking up to him rapidly.
“Angry lady with a spoon,” he said matter-of-factly.
“Jesus,” you took a step closer to look at it. “If I tookthat bandage off, would your eye still be there?”
He looked at you perplexed. “Yes,” he replied. “The eyeballis intact, she pushed it under.”
“Mhh,” you said, trying and not trying to visualize it atthe same time.
“We actually brought a few more people back with us,” Troysaid and started walking toward the gate, and you followed. “Two of them werewith us, the others are with Jake on the chopper.”
When you got to the gate the new people were just being ledin by Jeremiah, but a group of onlookers were blocking your view. You and Troywalked around the group, and when you saw them, you stopped dead in yourtracks. You inhaled a sharp breath, your hands shaking immediately, and youfelt as if someone had knocked you over the head. You were almost dizzy. By thetime Madison turned around and saw you, you felt like your heard was trying topush through your chest.
Her eyes grew bigger and her expression turned into one ofpure hatred. “You!” she shouted and started walking in your directionimmediately. Troy had kept walking, not realizing that you had stopped, untilMadison started approaching you. He turned around and looked at you inconfusion, but your eyes were focused on Madison. You started taking stepsbackward slowly, not knowing what to do. Madison looked ready to beat theliving hell out of you, her mannerisms were unmistakable.
“You goddamn-“ – “Hey, hey, hey,” Troy interrupted her, quicklystepping in and holding her back just before she reached you. Madison struggledagainst him, trying to get out of his grip and get to you, but he was stronger.
“What is going on here?” Jeremiah said as he came closer.
Neither you nor Madison answered; you simply stared at eachother, her eyes full of rage, still being hold back by Troy, while you wereterrified. Terrified of what would happen next. Terrified of people findingout, of Troy finding out.
You didn’t understandwhat was happening. There was a noise in your ears, shrill and continuous, likea tinnitus, blending out all the other noises around you. You couldn’t focusyour eyes, all you could do was hold on. Hold on to the body lying on thefloor. Hold on for dear life. The blood was all over your hands and arms andclothes, and it was still warm, but you barely noticed. You felt like you had evenforgotten how to breathe.
Eventually, there werehands on you, someone was pulling you away, but you screamed and tried to getback to the body. They were talking to you, yelling, but you didn’t listen, couldn’t understand. But they were stronger, and they pulled you awayhurriedly. There was movement all around you, but your eyes could only focus onthe body on the floor.
And then, as you werebeing pulled out of the doors, you watched as the infected fell upon yourmother.
You were standing at the back of the room, your handscrossed over your chest defensively. Madison was standing up as well, next toJeremiahs desk, only Troy and his father were sitting down.
“I want her out of here,” Madison said decisively.
“You have been here for five minutes,” Jeremiah saidreasonably. “You can’t go around making demands like that.”
“Goddamn right I can when it’s someone like her,” she said, her eyes not leaving yours. “She almost killed me and my people, my daughter. We used to be your people!”The last sentence was directed at you. You kept silent.
“Why don’t you tell us what happened?” Jeremiah asked her.
“Oh, I’ll be glad to,” Madison started and you felt nauseous.“We were staying at a hotel in Mexico. It wasn’t cleared completely, there were still infected left in some of the rooms, outside, and locked in the ballroom. One day, the infected from outside broke in through one of the windows and we wereoverrun, and her mother died in the fight.”
To her credit, Madison actuallysounded remorseful at the last sentence. Youkilled her! You wanted to scream at her. You shot her thinking she was one of them!
But you remained quiet, and Madison continued, looking at Jeremiah.
“The next night, she took off. But not before opening theballroom and barring the way out forus from outside, leaving us locked in there with them.” Madison turned to youagain. “My daughter almost died because of you!”
You couldn’t hold her gaze, instead looked at the floor. Youfelt Troy’s eyes on you as well, but you couldn’t bring yourself to look athim.
“Is that true?” Jeremiah asked, and you knew he was talkingto you. You could bring yourself to look at him, but you didn’t manage to sayanything. It was all the answer he needed, the truth must have been written all overyour face.
“I want her gone,” Madisonsaid again.
“Bullshit,” Troy exclaimed, speaking for the first time. Youlooked up at him in surprise. He looked at Madison. “You can’t come in heremaking demands.”
“She has a valid point, Troy,” Jeremiah said.
“No, bullshit!” Troy repeated, angry. “We are not going tojust kick her out. If Madison is not comfortable with her being here she’swelcome to leave again.”
You were taken aback by Troy’s vigor. You weren’t exactlysure what reaction you had expected from him, but you hadn’t expected him todefend you.
“Troy,” Jeremiah started. “This isn’t a question of who washere first. It’s a question of what kind of people we want on our ranch.”
“I have a say in this too,” Troy said while standing up. Hetook a step closer to Madison and looked at her threateningly. “If you force herout of here, I’m going to make your life here a living hell.”
“Then I’m going to tell everyone here about your littleexperiments at the border,” Madison said, quiet and calculated. “I’m sure they’dbe thrilled to hear about that.”
For a second, they only stared at each other withoutspeaking, both threats still hanging in the air.
Eventually, you spoke with a quiet voice. “I’ll go.”
“What?” Troy turned to you, his expression surprised. “No.”
“Yes,” you said. You were so tired. “Troy, it’s not worthit.”
You looked from Troyto Madison and then to Jeremiah. “I’ll go get my things. I’ll take provisionsfrom the pantry for the first days if that’s okay.”
Jeremiah nodded, and with one last look to Troy, you turnedand left.
You had just finished packing when Troy came into yourcabin.
“You’re not leaving.”
“Yes, Troy, I am,” you said, turning to him. “I can’t stayhere when people don’t want me here.”
“It’s just Madison,” he tried to argue, but there was a hintof doubt in his voice.
“Troy,” you repeated, looking up at him almost pleadingly.“I just..I can’t…I can’t stay here. Every time I look at her I think about thatnight,” you trailed off, and when you spoke again, your voice was barelyaudible. “I’m a monster.”
Troy was quiet for a moment. “Not to me, you’re not.”
You looked up at him, again surprised by his reaction. Hisexpression had changed; he almost looked kind. Instinctively you took a stepforward, closing the distance between you, and kissed him. He was surprised atfirst, but then he leaned into the kiss.
You pulled away quickly, knowing that if you kissed him anylonger you wouldn’t be able to stop. You looked at him for a moment longer, andthen you turned around, grabbed your bag, and walked away.
You were surprised by just how cold the nights in the desertcould get as you huddled around your fire. You had walked for hours with noidea where to go, had just aimlessly chosen a direction and went. You had found alittle clearing to start a fire and had heated a can of beans. It wasn’t great, but it was something. You would have to find more food resources soon.
Yet no matter how much you concentrated on trying to thinkof what to do, your thoughts kept returning to Troy. You wished he was herewith you now. You were still astonished about his reaction today. How hedefended you. How he wanted you to stay.
And that kiss. Yeah, you wished he was here with you now.Somehow, you felt like he was the only person who would be able to accept youfor who you were. Maybe you shouldn’t have brushed him off like you did.
You were pulled from your thoughts when you saw a carapproaching in the distance. You jumped up from your place on the floor andquickly extinguished your fire with sand, grabbed your bag and quickly walked afew steps further away from the street, hiding behind a bush. You cursedyourself for staying so close to the road.
The car stopped close to you and someone got out, yet youcouldn’t see who it was, you were blinded by the lights. For a second, youwondered if it was Madison, coming after you to finish what she had started.
“You know, you need to get better at choosing spots tocamp,” a familiar voice said. “I could see your fire from a mile away.”
Your heart jumped when you heard his voice, and you slowlycame out from behind the bush. Troy had taken a few steps closer to you, awayfrom the car’s lights, and you could see him now. There was a grin on his face.“What, you think I’d just let you leave like that?”
You let out a breath that you didn’t realize you had held. Then, you smiled.
“Come on,” Troy said, motioning to the car with his head.“You can hide at my place until we figure out what to do.”
He didn’t have to tell you twice. You followed him and gotin the passenger seat quickly. As much as you had thought you needed to leavethis afternoon, you couldn’t help but feel incredibly relieved that Troy hadshown up to take you back.
You looked over at him as he was driving, his gazeconcentrated on the dark road ahead. His right hand was resting on top of thegearshift, and you carefully put yours on top of his. He looked over to you fora second, before looking back to the road, but he didn’t move his hand.
And neither did you. You turned your head to look out of thewindow and thought to yourself that maybe, just maybe, you would be able toredeem yourself.

A LunaTic and her Gunn (Part 11)
"A LunaTic Throws a Magical Tea Party"
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Colson bounds down the stairs shirtless in a pair of joggers. "GOOOOOD MORNING, FUCKERS!!!" He shouts. Luna's behind him, much slower, dressed in black boy shorts and a cut up G&R shirt. Her long hair is in a messy bun. All the extras from last night have gone, it's only The Crew in the kitchen. Around the table, on counter tops, or in stools. Colson goes for coffee as Luna slides into a chair next to Benny at the table.
He leans over to her "Did you tell him?" He asks.
"OH FUCK. I forgot, I'm sorry." She says standing up, then disappearing upstairs. She digs into her bag, pulling the flash drive from the night before out of her coat pocket and plugging it into her laptop. She quickly edits out any parts that don't belong to them, while also adjusting the audio.
"He's gonna fucking shit himself." She thinks, once again, pleased with her work.
--------------------------------------------------
Back in the full kitchen, she walks over to Colson. "Can you come upstairs with me for a sec, please. I have something for you...." She smiles slyly.
"I was wondering where you went...."
"Grab your laptop and come on." She says heading towards the stairs. He obliges.
Upstairs Colson flops his long body down on his bed. Luna stands over him.
"For you." She says holding a closed hand out to him. He reaches his out and she drops the flash drive into it. "Happy Birthday, Bunny."
He can see her nipples are hard through her t-shirt. "What's this?" He asks, sitting up, puzzled. She sits down next to him, handing him the laptop.
"Just a little gift. See for yourself." She tells him, bedroom eyes dancing with a smile playing on her lips. One look.
"I fucking love it when she looks at me like that." He muses to himself, intrigued, leaning over to kiss her.
He pops the flash drive in. As he finds the file and the video starts, he stares perplexed at the 3 different angles on the screen. He looks closer "Is that me?" Cocking his head. As the video continues he states excitedly "OH FUCK!! That is me.... AND YOU!!" He exclaims. He looks over at her, quickly, mouth hanging open. He hears himself speak on in the video and her begin to sing him Happy Birthday. "How the fuck...."
"Just watch." she says with a giggle as they sit together, side by side. He grabs the top of her inner thigh.
"You're sexy as fuck, Kitten." He says not taking his eyes of the screen. He's stroking her thigh. She can see him getting worked up. "God Damn, we look good together!!" He continues. Half way through the video, she sees his dick raging under his joggers. She stands up.
"Lemme help you." She says
"Hmmm." He's not listening.
"Lift the laptop." She says flatly, pulling at his pants. This has his attention. He pauses the video not wanting to miss a second.
"What do you need, Bunny?" He finally looks up. She laughs. Pushes him back by the bare chest to lay down on the bed, pushes the laptop to his stomach and gets on her knees between his legs. He pops his head up around the laptop, lifting his ass, watching her pull down his pants. His hard dick slaps against his stomach, she takes him in her hand, ducking her head down, rolling her tongue along the bottom of his balls. He groans, watching her as she begins to lick his cock from base to tip with her sopping tongue spread wide.
"Resume." She says. He adjusts the laptop on his chest and leans his head back on his arm as he pushes play.
"I am getting my dick sucked by the hottest chick in the world, while watching our sex tape...." Colson thinks to himself fully enjoying her mouth and her gift. "HAPPY FUCKING BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!"
As Luna sucks long and deep on his cock, she uses her hand to work the parts she can't fully fit inside. He throbs in her mouth and groans as her tongue rolls around his dick's head. She hears them fucking from the laptop as he rest his hand lightly on her head, tangling his fingers in her bun, gripping her hair. It makes her pussy lips plump. Continuing her sucking pace, she caresses his balls with her other hand. With this, she can feel him getting ready to cum so she opens her throat wider, fitting almost all of him inside of her mouth. Slurping, bobbing and humming, she hears him growl "OHHHH FUUCCCK!" as his right leg shoots up off the floor and he explodes into her warm mouth. She swallows it. From the laptop Colson is telling Luna he needs her to meet Casie. After licking his dick clean, while wiping her mouth with her thumb, she stands up looking over a pleased Colson.
"GOD DAMN, GIRL!!" He sighs looking up at her lovingly. He can hear them exchanging I love yous from the laptop. "You're fucking insane." He says amused, moving the laptop. Grabbing her hand, he pulls her on top of his naked body. "You gave me video of us fucking and telling each other we love each other for the first time. That's so fucking boss!" He says pulling her closer for a kiss. "THEN YOU SUCKED MY DICK WHILE I WATCHED IT FOR THE FIRST TIME!!" He yells, both arms up, fists clenched, shaking triumphantly, rocking his whole body.
She laughs, her body moving with his. "You're an idiot" she smiles kissing him.
"Your idiot." He smirks. "How the fuck did you get this? He asks.
"With Benny's help. And this" She says beaming, reaching into her bag, before telling him exactly how.
--------------------------------------------------
Downstairs Benny can't contain himself. He looks at Slim. "Yo Dawg, Luna ain't nothin to fuck wit." He says lowly. Recounting the events of last night to him. Slim listens, shocked as fuck.
--------------------------------------------------
"SHE THREATENED TO PISTOL WHIP A FUCKING SECURITY GAURD!!???" Slim shouts out in disbelief, eyes wide. Everyone in the kitchen stops what they're doing and looks at him.
"Yup." Luna's lips pop, strolling in holding what appears to be a glock, with Colson behind her. She sets it down on the kitchen table, hard. Now, everyone is looking at her, uncomfortably. "Well, now you gotta fucking tell everybody, Benny, or it's just not fair." She says looking at him, eyebrows raised, half amused smile. "Go ahead, Sugar." Nodding her head.
"She's such a fucking asshole. This is gonna be great!" Colson laughs to himself.
Benny looks at her sideways but begins to tell the story again, everyone is quiet and listening. Every so often one of them glances at Luna, who's leaning up against the wall with a cup of coffee.
"So, was it loaded???" Asks Rook intently.
Before Benny can answer, Luna walks back over to the table and sets down her cup. She picks up the 9, stretches her arm out, pointing it directly at Colson, who's across the room. She says "What do you think?" coldly before pulling the trigger.
Ashleigh screams and everyone shudders as Colson bursts out laughing. There's no boom. Just the sound of a rack sliding. There is no blood. Just a blue dot on Colson's chest, who's laughing hysterically. He starts bouncing around the room causing Luna to laugh.
"WAIT!!! Demands Slim. Eyeballing both of them. "It's FAKE!?!! He continues.
"Mhmm." says Luna innocently, holding her laughter for a second.
Slim bursts out laughing too. Everyone, including Benny is still confused.
Ashleigh speaks up "Let me get this straight, you fucked Kells in VIP, turned around, BOUGHT, THEN ERASED the tape, while all the while pretending you were going to, what? Kill a security gaurd with a fake gun if he didn't give it to you???
"DON'T FORGET SHE GAVE ME THE ONLY COPY!! FOR MY BIRTHDAY!!!!" Shouts Colson "We have a sex tape, we have a sex tape..." He starts singing and dancing around the room.
"He's so fucking ADORABLE!!" Luna's heart screams. She loves when he acts goofy. Even more when it's her who's causing it.
Looking at Ashleigh. "Pretty much." Says Luna nodding her head. "But." She stops, putting her index finger up. "It's not a fake gun. It's a custom laser pointer." She states, handing it to Ashleigh, starting to laugh again, who takes it learily.
As Ashleigh flips it around in her hands, she begins to laugh too. "YOU are a crazy fucking cunt!!" She states still laughing, before she hands it into Rook's reaching hands.
"See why I love her, Ash!!" Colson says laughing as he throwing his arm around Luna, kissing her on the cheek.
"Mhm. Fucking trouble." She laughs looking at the two of them. As everyone rambles in disbelief handing the laser pointer around and playing with it. Ashleigh steps closer to Luna and Colson. "Good call on grabbing that, Loons. Someone could've made a shit load of money off of it."
Luna nods her head, giving Ashleigh a knowing look. "I got 'chu." she tells her with a smile and cocked upper lip. Luna likes that Ashleigh is comfortable enough with her to call her 'Loons'.
Slim interrupts them. "So, what would you have done if he didn't take the money?" He asks Luna seriously, elbows on the table.
"I'da fucking laser pointer whipped that motherfucker and got what I wanted still." She cocks her head back and sucks her teeth. "Feel how heavy this motherfucker is." She says reaching for the laser pointer from Baze, handing it to Slim.
Handling it he says "You right, this bitch got some solid weight to it. How you work it?"
"Pull the trigger."
He pulls the trigger as it makes the sound of the clip being loaded. "Aight, aight. I see you." He says continuing to play with it. "Crazy ass Brooklyn Bitch." He says nodding his head, like the night before with a chuckle. Looking over at his friend in approval.
"Lemme see that." Benny grabs it from Slim. He looks at it closely. "Big ups, Brooklyn. You harder then I thought. You ran a dude with a Fucking laser pointer!!" He laughs loudly in disbelief.
"NY, Homie!!" She laughs hard. "We had our first 'Benny&Loons MessAbout'." She howls, half quoting 'The New Girl.' still laughing, while moving her shoulders and fisted arms up and down before giving him a dap. Colson explodes into laughter.
"She's fucking retarded and I LOVE IT!" He thinks.
Finally grasping the ridiculousness of the situation the whole room joins in on Colson, Luna, Slim and Benny's laughter.
--------------------------------------------------
Everyone's still chattering in the kitchen. Pete comes up to Luna and Colson. "You're a fucking nut, Loons. He laughs shaking his head. He looks at Colson. "I told you, a very Loons story." He says throwing his hands up.
"Facts." Agrees Colson.
"What's that mean?" She asks "You know what, I don't even fucking care." She continues, waving her hand, paying them no mind. 🎶"I'ma do you one better, Petey."🎶 She sings, looking mischievously between him and Colson. 🎶"I've got a pound of mushrooms upstairs."🎶 She finishes singing, biting her lip with a smile.
"How the fuck did you get that?" Asks Colson in disbelief.
"I threw a bunch of dried fruit in with em and popped it in my carry on as a snack" She shrugs like it's no big deal. Pete's not surprised by Luna's antics anymore. He is excited about these mushrooms tho.
"Can we eat 'em???" His eyes lighting up.
"I figure if Colson's ok with it, I'll hit up the girls, see who's in town... Make some tea and we'll have a colorful day by the pool. What do you think, Bunny?" She asks looking up at Colson.
"I think." He says slamming his hand on the counter to emphasize certain words "This is THE BEST birthday of my whole MOTHERFUCKING life." He lifts her chin to kiss her. "Thank you for everything."
"So, colors?" Asks Pete intently.
"Yeah, Pete. Colors." Colson laughs.
"Heeey you Guuuysss!!!" Pete turns around to share the good news.
--------------------------------------------------
Luna changes into a white one peice. She sends out texts to a few of her girlfriends, seeing who's on the West Coast. Frannie and Paris are definitely coming. Ashley says she'll bring Dom with her. Bella's in even though Mod is there. Billie's coming and Lana may.
Luna starts a large pasta pot of boiling water. Looking around the kitchen, she finds a large non-porous cutting board and a chef's knife. She opens the large container and pulls out a handful of fungi, dehydrated strawberries, apples, oranges and cherries. She begins to finely chop them.
Phem wanders over to her. "What are you doing?" She asks.
"Making magic tea." Luna answers, turning her head and smiling at her.
"I've never had em that way." Phem says, intrigued. "Can I help?"
"Absolutely!" Luna beams.
Colson watches the girls from the kitchen door frame. "They seem to be getting along ok..... Maybe Phem does like her." He thinks, deciding to leave them be and wanders off into another part of the house.
--------------------------------------------------
Hours later, everyone has shown up, even Lana. Their magical tea party is flowing. Luna puts on the 'Eat A Peach' album and the music is flowing with the colors. She's laying on the ground on her belly, she looks over her shoulder at Colson, who's in a pool chair close to her. All she can see is rainbows radiating out of his head and hearts pouring out of his eyes. It's too much for her brain so she rolls on her back to stare at the sky. As the clouds shift and shape, Luna's eyes widen, as a blanket of warmth swooshes over her and her stomach drops like she's on a rollercoaster. She can taste story the clouds are trying to tell her.
"What are you doin'?" Luna looks over to see a sea of vibrant green flowing. It's Phem.
"I'm listening to the clouds tell me a story." Luna says smiling. "Come." She scootches over and reaches her hand out, pulling Phem down beside her. "Lay." She warmly instructs. Phem does so, as the two girls hold hands, giggling, watching the same sky but being told two different stories. After a while, Luna turns to Phem. "I need to touch The Water." She breathes. "Come with me?"
"Yaaaas. Me tooooooo." Phem lets out, nodding her head up and digging Luna's fantastic plan. The girls walk over to the pool, sitting on the edge, dangling their feet in the cool water. "I'm sorry." Phem says.
Luna looks at her with concern, but still tripping balls. "Why? Are you ok?" She asks softly but intently.
"I didn't like you.' Phem blurts out, eyes wide, covering her mouth in shock. A loud laugh escapes from Luna. "I'm so sorry." Says Phem.
"Whyyyy?" Asks a still laughing Luna.
"I don't know why....." Phem trails off. Luna is still laughing, doubled over, tears pouring out of her eyes.
"Nooooo." She says, sitting up, trying to control herself "Why are you fucking sorry?" But she can't, so Luna bursts out laughing again. The idea being so ridiculous to her. Her laughter is contagious and quickly both girls are laughing so hard there are tears rolling down both their faces and neither can breathe.
"I don't knowwwww!!!" Whines Phem while still laughing.
"It's ok!" Luna reassures her, the laughter between them flowing so hard they can barely get out words. "I knew!" Luna exclaims leaning into Phem.
"I'm so sorry though because I really do!!" Phem leans against her too, both of them STILL laughing uncontrollably.
Luna puts her arm around her. "It's ok, I know." She says again, ducking her head close to Phem's. "I didn't like you either, and now I do!" She laughs harder grabbing Phem's hand with her free one.
"We're a bunch of fucking cunts!!" Phem shouts, throwing her arm around Luna.
The two girls double over together cracking up as Luna exclaims "I THINK I JUST PEED A LITTLE!!!"
--------------------------------------------------
Across the yard Colson is fake ninja fighting with Slim. His ears perk up at the sound of Luna's continuous laughter.
"I fucking love that sound." Colson thinks, smiling ear to ear, searching for her. He sees her sitting by the pool with Phem. The two of them are laughing hysterically, arms around each other. "That's so nice." Colson thinks happily before Slim judo chops him in the stomach.
Catching Colson off gaurd Slim's chop drops him to his knees, in an exaggerated fashion. "Yous a bitch, Bitch." Slim says mocking him. They both are laughing so hard, Colson lays down, knowing what he's referencing.
"I LOVE MY FUCKING LIFE!!" Colson thinks, holding his stomach, rolling on the ground.
--------------------------------------------------
A while later, Colson is coming out of the bathroom. He wants to find Luna but is distracted from the melody coming from his piano.
He follows the sound to find Luna playing. He sits down beside her. She looks over at him. Her happy face glowing bright, while continuing to play. The melody entrancing. She looks deeply into his eyes, smiling her bright smile. She begins to sing to him.
🎶"I know I'm outta my head. But I haven't lost my mind. How is it that you know the bad things I like. We're so good, I can't explain it, what can I say, it's kismet, ain't it?"🎶 She continues, smiling the way he loves 🎶"All the things you say, all things you do, make me fall more in love with you. Oh, Bunny, I don't wanna escape it. 'I'm all in' There is no maybe."🎶
He stares at her in awe, vibrant colors flying out of her mouth as she sings. "Did you just write that?" He asks as she continues to play the melody.
"Mhm." She hums. "About us." She says softly.
"I fucking love it." He says, sliding her body across the piano bench, closer to him. Kissing her on her bare shoulders while moving her loose hair to kiss her neck. He stops. Only refraining for these few moments. He pulls out his phone. "Sing it again for me. Please." He asks, as she smiles and continues to play. He hits record, just before she begins to sing. Knowing he's capturing something special that could be lost in a moment.
--------------------------------------------------
As everyone's trip is slowly beginning to come to it's end. Luna stands on the living room table. "Who wants a Xanax for sleep later?" She asks loudly, raising her hand.
Everyone within ear shot claims "ME!"
Colson watches her dole footballs out like a little Xanax fairy, still in her white swimsuit but now with a bright green scarf with vibrant purple and teal peacock feathers, tied, resting around her hips, ass and waist. Long hair flowing.
"GOD, I fucking love her." Colson thinks to himself as she approaches him.
"Wanna go make out in the pool?" She asks. For the first time ever, she's eye to eye with him while standing. One look.
"FUCK YES." He declares. She wraps her arms around his neck and her legs around his waist as he lifts her up. She sprinkles his face and neck with kisses as he carries her outside.
--------------------------------------------------
In the pool they snake around each other. She pushes off of him teasingly, swimming away as he chases after her. He catches her, wrapping his long limbs around her tiny body. "You're amazing." He says kissing her.
"You're not so shabby yourself." She teases, kissing him back. They swim around each, touching and teasing the other's body until Colson can't stand it any longer. He pushes her quickly across the pool, they hit the side hard. "Mmmh." she winces.
"Sorry, Kitten." He says in between sloppy kisses. She's pulling his shorts down as he slides her bathing suit to the side. She moans loudly as he enters her. As he pushes his huge cock deep inside her, fucking her deeply, she can't tell if she's still tripping or actually seeing cartoon stars.
"HOLY FUCK." She thinks.
With her legs wrapped around his waist, she slowly grinds into him hard, feeling him touch deep inside her, she shudders. Using the water against his weight she spins them around. Now pressed against the pool, "Kitten..." He moans into her ear as their hands and the water move all around them. There's a soft sensualness between them instead of their usual raging hunger. He spins her back against the pool wall. She takes every sweet pump of his in, as the water tickles her skin. They lock into a deep kiss as they slowly move their bodies together in pleasure. She moans as he begins to move his hips faster. Hands around her neck. She pushes off the side of the pool, taking him deeper into her. He groans. Both of their hips now moving even faster. She clings to him as she feels her walls begin to tighten and a rush of euphoria hits her.
"Ohhhh, Bunny...." She purrs.
"I love you." He says as they both explode like fireworks.
--------------------------------------------------
Frannie and Paris show up together, never knowing what to expect with Luna. They know she's currently on the The Coast for a break and have plans to see her but both are caught off gaurd when she texts that she's at MGK's house hosting a tea party. A happy Luna greets them with huge hugs before introducing them to Colson, as she calls him. He's very inviting, hugging them both. Watching them through rose colored eyes, her friends decide this is good and that Luna just might be ok.
Billie and her boyfriend arrive to a giddy Luna. She offers them tea. As they stand and sip in the kitchen, Billie asks Luna how she's doing. She beams. She is "tripping balls and is absolutely in love" she declares as she reaches to squeeze Billie again. They've known each other almost all their lives. Billie still remembers attending Luna's mother's funeral all those years ago. Just as Luna had attended her own mother's, just shy of 3 short years. Only a month after Luna had lost Justin, to the date. Even greif stricken, her friend had shown up for her. It was a true testament to Luna's character, Billie had thought at the time and still thinks the same now. It's only when Luna introduces Billie to Colson does she see her true friend again. That bright light that has been dim the last few of years, finally beaming through again.
Lana slides into the party smoothly. She doesn't drink the tea but she does watch her friend happily from her perch on the patio. She likes the intimate exchanges she watches between her and Colson. Lana already likes Colson, they had worked together late last year and she found him to be very down to earth and sweet. She didn't want to admit it but she could see why Loons was drawn to him.
Bella only comes because she loves Luna. Especially, her tea parties. She knows Kells and most of his Crew from dating Derek but wants to see how he acts with her friend. Colson is the first to greet her with a warm hug. "Hey Bella, Loons said you were coming." He says leading her into the kitchen. "Grab some tea." He says pointing to the huge pot on the stove. "I'll find Luna for you." Impressed Bella fills her solo cup with magic. "BELLLLSSSSSS!" Luna screams as she rushes her for a hug. Luna's so short her face lays right in Bella's tits, which she happily snuggles into. Bella laughs out loud. She loves Luna and upon her approach is happy she decided to come. After the girls embrace they make their way outside. As Bella waves to Ashley, who's walking towards her, she watches Luna break free and prance over to Colson, wrapping her whole body around him.
Ashley and Dom are dancing around together, floating through the colors. Enjoying life and everyone. She's not worried about Luna anymore. She had been, but in 2 short days she has watched both of her friends blossom like a beautiful tree in the Spring. She's enjoying her boyfriend, colors and friends. When she does spy Luna and Colson together her heart erupts with joy.
"Wow." Her friends all think at separate times. "She's REALLY happy." Hearts soaring for Luna, because they know her well enough to know, she's truly happy right now. With Colson. Not because she's on drugs.
--------------------------------------------------
