Like words on a page.

Your words gave me hope,

Through the darkest of days.

Your embrace made me safe.

When I was alone.

Your arms were my safe place.

They were my home.

Now I must go on without you.

Facing the cruel world alone.

Fell.

Today I fell.

I'll admit, I cried.

Because it hurt like hell,

And I wanted to scream.

Today I fell.

I got mud on my face.

I'll admit,

It was a disgrace.

Today I fell.

I also got back up.

I dusted myself off in the rain.

I bandaged all of my pain.

Yes today I fell,

But I also stood tall.

Because after all,

It was just a fall.

Some days are tough.

It's a struggle to open your eyes,

Because you've had enough

Of all of the pain.

Some days it hurts.

To know you have to smile,

Even when,

You've been down for a while.

Some days it's a struggle.

Just to put on clothes.

Just to get out of bed.

Because no one knows.

They don't know the pain.

The pain that's inside your head.

I see what you're going through.

I see you are hurting.

I just want you to know,

That I'm proud of you,

Because you keep fighting.

I know one day you'll make it through.

Even though times are grim.

You'll find a way

To light the light that was dim.

Getting through the rough,

With everything that's happening in the world right now, I want everyone to know that you matter. I know that times are tough and many people are jobless and maybe even feel useless. I've been feeling that way too. We are not useless though. We matter. We are strong. I know you've probably heard people say, "distract yourself" a million times by now. I want to tell you to acknowledge your feelings and after you do that, look in the mirror and tell yourself just how amazing you are. Nothing is easy, we can get though this together. You are not alone.
