Pieces... I don’t need anyone to save me. There are too many sunsets I am yet to see, need to see, must see. But someone cheering me on would help. Someone holding my hand in love instead of judgement would be nice. Because isn’t that what we all want? To be loved for who we are and what we are and all that we are, always? The waves and sea remind me that even when its rough, I am here to be me and make a difference to those who need to see they’re not alone as I share the relentless things that have happened to me, that they took from me. The peace and quiet broken by voices; some familiar, some I can’t place, calling out the mundane as they go about their day, treating those they encounter with contempt instead of care, with judgment instead of love. And I pray that they will be quiet so that I can focus, listen, only hear the one voice I need to hear in peace. But this place I find myself in is peaceless cos there are so many pieces, and I will not rest until I am whole again. . . Thank you for reading my words. I saw her looking at me from afar. Suspicious eyes. My gut instinct got on guard. “No benefit of the doubt for me? She barely knows me, a few acquaintance-like words spoken between us.
