You had me..... You had me in your wallet for about years... Wherever you went You took me with you... Highs and lows From street vendors to airports... I have seen coins and heavy notes... I have seen empty compartments and your newest debit cards... I have seen grocery lists and broken buttons next to me too... Your dad never saw me though... Every time he checked your wallet.. you made sure To put me back So he won't know our little secret... I guess I gave you enough reasons to take me out of our home... I miss the ambiance Miss the jingling sound of coins and the smell of crunchy notes... I'm back to where I started in the first place... All I'm left with is your thumb and index's touch When you lifted me and put me between the pages of my journal. .. Was I too heavy for you? Did my eyes bother you?
