Well it's placement day!! I'm on the train there now and I hope I don't vibrate out of my skin before it

After -

I think it went really well!! The GP I was observing was really nice and let me ask extra questions, and I got to interview another one later!! The lead also bought us pizza for lunch :')

002/100 Days Of Productivity - 13082023

I have a love-and-hate relationship with Sundays. I feel like it’s a day when you can rest but also take care of yourself and your home, which can mean the same thing sometimes.

This morning I went to the grocery store, and I cooked a delicious Italian oven pasta for lunch. I also called my mom.

Tonight I worked with my bestie on our projects, and it feels good.

Things I need to do and did:

Make a nice desktop set-up for my pc

Clean my pc and iPad

Create that notion template

Find a job

Finish that book

16th April 2024

29 days till first exam

I’m gonna be honest!!! I completely stressed out about thinking about revision which is why I stopped posting/ doing anything in order to avoid the problem. I’ve started buckling down again so I figured I would start posting and see what happens :3

I’m going to stop volunteering over the exam period which will feel weird but grades are important right now. Anyway here’s my work for the day:

Write an essay on the US presidency, To what extent is the president imperial?

Write up my Pulp Fiction essay, To what extent is narrative an experimental device in Pulp Fiction

Play some animal crossing (I need a break 😭)

Do my second to last volunteering session :3

I also got my grade back for my Film studies coursework, I got 33/40 which is an A so I’m very happy with that, we have a write up to do for it so I still have a chance on making that grade slightly higher. I’m glad it’s over because it’s been so much work and honestly I have not enjoyed it 💀

For now I’m staying at school to get my essays done and listening to the study with cats pomodoro timer (I’m obsessed w these atm)

…nothing ever happens to me.

But today, something did. Something happened.

I was walking in the park and I bumped into Mike Stamford.

I mentioned that I wanted to move. He said he knew of someone in a similar situation.

So we went to Barts and he introduced us.Except, he didn’t. He didn’t introduce us.

The man knew who I was. Somehow he knew everything about me.It’s mad. I think he might be mad.

He was certainly arrogant and really quite rude.

he looks about 12 and he’s clearly a bit public school and, yes, I definitely think he might be mad.

but he was also strangely likeable. He was charming. It really was all just a bit strange.

So tomorrow, we’re off to look at a flat. Me and the madman.

As a student, here is some things I have learned

~Sometimes you’ll fall behind with classwork. THAT’S OKAY! Nobody expects you to give 100% of your effort 100% of the time!

~It’s easy to make friends, it’s hard to keep them (get their Snapchat! Message them every once in a while)

~More students actually wear hoodies and jeans opposed to designer clothes and dresses. The main thing is that you need to be comfortable!

~If you think there isn’t a support system, there is. It doesn’t matter what you need (academic help, mental health help, financial help), there’s always someone there to make sure you don’t slip through the cracks

~Your lecturers are on YOUR SIDE! Remember, they want you to pass (it looks better on their record :P). If you need help, just ask! If you don’t feel comfortable to ask, email them!

~Food is expensive! If you have the privilege of living at home, bring food with you. It’s much more affordable than eating out or eating from places near a huge student population

(many of these points are for myself to read back on but I hope I can help someone else with this experience)

i had tea and a scone out with my best friend today! i also got new glasses and bought a new jigsaw :) i think i’m actually an old lady just pretending to be a 21 year old.

i’m now in the library working away at all the readings i wanted to do for my essay that’s due in next week. i’ve been annotating stuff and finding new articles/chapters for weeks! i think i’ve probably found too much, but at least it gives me a reason to be productive and go through them all.

What a busy day. First I had to go to my workplace to give my documents, and when I tell you travelling there took me more time than giving out the papers, trust me. Then, I had to run to send my university documents to the SFE, as I woke up late and missed the collection time.
