I watched Wandee Goodday the moment it dropped and 10/10 no notes! Except I did write notes while I was watching it* so here they are :P
-Ooh, a cold opening, guess we're gonna flashback soon!
-Yep! There it is!
-Shower scene—nice
-He didn't eat his breakfast???? (This is a pet peeve of mine in all TV XD)
-Aw, the little dude fell in the coffee. That's foreshadowing for you!
-ASEXUAL????? OMG! (To clarify: Kao is asexual)
-Bullying his eyebrows lmaoooo
-Was there x-ray vision?? I blinked and missed it lol
-Immediately love the dynamic between the boxing bros and the older one's bf—feels very lived in!
-Wahhhhh! Inn is so cute!
-Oh, he's sassy too
-Ter's rejection felt fairly gracious tbh, until Dee pushed him?? IDK. Bringing up the scholarship after that was a total dick move though
-Kao is a great friend! Hope Dee isn't going to be one of those selfish rom com leads who ignores their friend's needs though, but he's cute so I'll ignore it if he is :P
-Lmao the secondhand embarrassment I felt with drunk!Dee following Yak. He's a disaster! He's a delight!
-THE "SEDUCTIVE" MOVES IN THE MINIMART! Soooo funny. I love that it played out differently than I thought it would from the trailer and Yak is like 'arghhh, what's happening???' rather than confused and aroused
-The clerk's comment about lube took me out
-Ahhhh SO SNUGGLY! How could Yak resist? (Sidenote: I love that we see he's quite softhearted underneath so soon)
-Oh, also, that shorts outfit he was wearing was hot af
-Again, how could Yak resist???
-CRAMP! lmaoooooo
-Oh good they tried again haha
-Nooooooooo!!! I NEED MORE NOW! D:
*I turn off my devices at night so these were handwritten and then typed up this morning XD

I've finished my RvB rewatch (up through season 13) since the final season/movie comes out in a few days, and this is now a disjointed liveblog
I totally forgot that Caboose was..... different than how we know him at the beginning.
Tucker called out Griff and Simmons acting like a married couple in season 2, grimmons started early.
in the Out of Mind miniseries Wyoming says Tex and his boss are 'of the same mind' great foreshadowing there.
god that first CGI fight scene in season 8 is amazing, same with the Tex fights
even though Wash tells the Reds about the simulations in season 6 it takes until season 8 for them (mostly the Reds) to realize it
god I remember crying at the end of season 8
I love how Maine isn't even on the board at the start of season 9
Lopez' intro in season 9 is missing his subtitles
Also it never occurred to me how friendly Carolina and Maine's relationship is, not even including her giving up her AI for him. Like when Maine gets shot in the throat she sounds genuinely distraught. and in the classroom scene South sounds like she's implying something when she talks about Carolina giving Sigma to Maine, but there's never anything romantic hinted between them (like it is between Carolina and York). Want to do a full post about this.
OH FUCK I FORGOT HOW MUCH I LOVE FALLING TOWARDS THE SKY SUCH A BANGER SONG
Sigma covers Maine's face in the classroom scene even though you can still pretty much see his face
I love how despite Wash being basically the joke of the freelancer arc he's still higher on the ranking board than Maine most of the time
Tex and Carolina fight as a pair really well together, even though Carolina hates Tex (though Tex does seem to care about her, at least as much as she cares about any of the other freelancers)
dam I forgot how sad the ending of season 10 is. I think not having a gunshot makes it worse.
love how it was never explained but implied that project freelancer destroyed the state of Florida just to hide agent Florida xD
I love how they show the camo ripples for dramatic tension, specifically the shots with Locust
also the episode cliffhanger of 'Tucker is injured/unconscious/in a coma happens like 3 times, stop hurting this poor man
jesus Doc gets treated so poorly the entire series, honestly makes sense that his most positive (at least in his mind) relationships are with the people who kidnapped him (O'mally and Wash) because they at least paid attention to him.
Very excited for the final!!

Once again, Zutarians drive me nuts.
It's Zutara week now, and I came across some works. One of them was an art of Katara and Zuko sitting near the fountain with lanterns - the one from "The Tale of Zuko" in book 2; I checked. And I'm loosing my mind.
I know zutarians do this a lot. They draw fanarts with Zuko and Katara dancing in a cave while in the show it was Aang who invited Katara for the dance. Some of them made edits, replacing Mai with Katara in the scene with maiko kiss and embrace in the finale. There are more examples, these are just maybe the most well-known, I guess. This is all awful, I hate this. But both kataang and maiko are "rival ships", canon with tons of material (that zutarians think would look better if it was about Katara and Zuko, not Katara and Aang or Mai and Zuko - although it wouldn't), so I can at least see why zutarians do that. But Jin and Zuko?
So, my point is: it's just crazy that a ship as popular as zutara, with "the whole show of build-up, foreshadowing etc." as they claim themselves, steals ideas even from a ship as small as jinko that has less than four damn minutes of screentime in total. How shallow is this "zutara" thing in reality if they feel the need to steal romantic moments everywhere else?
And the thing that enrages me the most: as much as I hate zutara (more the fandom than the ship itself, but still), they do have some interesting things to explore. You mentioned here an unhappy arranged marriage, there is clearly a huge drama potential. I can think of a love marriage with countless amount of political problems/consequences for Zuko (you also mentioned some here, but there are so much more), and it could be a terrific delightful angst, too, so for me it will compensate for OOC love line. But the shippers don't even try to touch the good stuff that could make their ship special, turning it into the most boring, cliche thing ever instead.
Yup, the lack of creativity is UNBELIEVABLE. And yeah, so much for "amazing quality CANON content that is totally there in nearly every scene of the show", they gotta steal from literally everyone else XD

Thoughts I had during TGCF S1 Ep 4
Heads up, this will probably be a short one since it mostly focuses on the worldbuilding on the 4 calamity ghosts now here we go!
-Previously on TGCF…
-He’s so distraught he couldn’t follow
-Yeah it’s not that Fu Yao
-He does look like the same age as a teen
-That’s a lotta scrolls
-The telepathic matrix, is basically the world’s first discord server
-Qi Rong will be important later on
-That goddess has a point
-Thank you Ling Wen
-Oh that had everyone shook
-Aw he likes Hua Cheng’s name!
-Ooh that disturbed Ling Wen
-More on the Black Demon later…
-That explains the fall of Xianle and the Moldy Face Plague
-Let’s be honest, Bai Wuxiang is totally responsible for Covid-19
-Xie Lian’s hand…
-Is he long since passed though? (Sorry, I’ve heard of the spoilers)
-Woah Hua Cheng has made his mark on Heaven
-Those lights sure look like floating lanterns…
-Aww he thinks the Butterflies are beautiful!
-Honestly, smart move Mu Qing and Feng Xin
-That’s also foreshadowing
-Don’t worry Nan Yang, they’re trapping her under a mountain
-Aww he thanked the two generals!
-Another camera shake!
-Those poor, poor archivists
-Oh she is so burnt out
-Really, I thought paying it off would take longer than that?
-The assistants got eyes bags too…
-I think that same question every day…
-Ling Wen really deserves a raise AND vacation
-He’s settling in well
-Yeah, who was the Prince of Xianle anyway?
-HUDDLE UP!
-Hehehehe Dick Yang XD
-River Frog!
-And repairs too
-Oooooh awesome music!
-That’s a lot of stuff…
-Hitchhiking!
-And Honghai (A TGCF OC) is like @ Xie Lian: So he’s a dumpster diver?
-Woah word sure travels fast
-That’s a good lesson Xie Lian
-Ooooh here he comes!
-More camera shakes
-WHY IS EVERYBODY’S EYELINER GAME SO ON POINT?!?!?!?!

also legit. (spoilers for ending of S5) I'm realizing just HOW much Luka coming back with Grandmaster Su-Han was actually foreshadowed pretty well if you really sit down and think about it.
on several occasions Viperion was there when Grandmaster Su-Han was chewing Ladybug out about not knowing Cat Noir's secret identity, so there's that for starters, he knew who he was so it wasn't totally out of the blue. BUT ALSO, GUESS WHO DOES KNOW CAT NOIR'S IDENTITY? that's right, Viperion! yay!
(IDK did Viperion detransform in front of Grandmaster Su-Han so that he knows who he was?? or smth? bc otherwise this doesn't make too much sense but heyy)
also. Luka would TOTALLY go for the martial-arts thing lol. idk just a vibe.
predicting Luka is gonna be the Guardian bc 1) he knows the secret identities 2) he's proven he can KEEP that secret, 3) he's being trained by the LITERAL GRANDMASTER OF THE MIRACULOUS RN, 4) Ladybug is wayyy to busy for it. she'd love to hand it off to Luka I'm sure. and 5) he should be very good at knowing who's trustworthy enough to entrust with a Miraculous XD.
also I'm anticipating a lot of Luka in the next few seasons bc this stuff was set-up just a little too much beforehand for it not to be significant. (I mean, even Soqueline wasn't set-up for Marinette's flashback to last year until the Season of! but S5 has been REMARKABLY well-planned and they've already announced three more seasons, so I'm guessing this is a whole new arc and the whole thing is being planned out and it's gonna be GREAT)

Theories based on leaks abounding, so avoid if you don't want em, but I'm throwing my own wwdits finale theory/ideas into the pot bc I might as well
Regarding the season finale, 'Memories'
The most popular take I've seen around here is that Nandor's gonna lose his memories — either through a djinn wish or that tantalising foreshadowing about the Guide losing her memories for hooking up with a slayer. And I would love that, but you know what I'd love even more?
Guillermo losing his memories
Now hear me out!
So far this season, Nandor is getting it rubbed in his fucking face that Guillermo is important to him and that he might've missed his chance with him. Guillermo isn't rising to his jealousy bait, isn't taking up offers to see his magically enhanced dick (this fucking show), is dividing his attention to look after baby Colin and talk to his long distance secret boyfriend and presumably do Nadja's accounting (for whatever shady ass reason lmao).
Guillermo is, largely, operating as an independent person who spends time with Nandor and helps him, but doesn't need him or even technically work for him. Nandor, conversely, needs Guillermo a lot, or at the very least wants him around. He wants his help, his advice, he wants his attention. Even if he still hasn't actually consciously clocked that he has feelings for Guillermo and that his ex-familiar is the love he's been looking for, he knows that he wants Guillermo's attention and affection and time, and he's getting it but it's no longer undivided, and I think that bothers him more than he'd admit — partly bc yknow, classic Nandor abandonment issues, but also because whatever Nandor does, it all comes back to Guillermo.
And now on top of just having this strange sense of jealousy about Guillermo having other things/people in his life taking his attention, and this odd sense of discontent with his wife-to-be who is perfect on paper but still not quite clicking for reasons he can't name; on top of all that he now has to think of Guillermo during sex, too! (unless the djinn didn't actually curse him and he's just using that as an excuse for thoughts he was having anyway, of course xD)
I think as the season goes by and we get more and more ridiculous scenarios that emphasise just how throughly gone for Guillermo Nandor is, and how he needs Guillermo far more than Guillermo needs him, he's gonna get frustrated and angry and hurt. And I think it could all come to a head with a fight with Guillermo where he lashes out and wishes that he'd never welcomed him into his home, never scooped him up from that Panera Bread.
Cue Djinn.
Of course, for angst reasons, this is Nandor's last wish and he can't undo it. Which brings us to the final episode, Memories. And the reasons I adore this concept of a memory wiped Guillermo even more than Nandor are:
A) it's a culmination of this Nandor Pining era we're in. Guillermo desperately trying to make Nandor remember has angst and cuteness potential too especially in regards to like, how Nandor's feelings for Guillermo might differ if this time they didn't meet in a master-servant capacity, but also a risk of retreading ground we've already explored in things like 'The Wellness Center'. Putting Guillermo once again in the role of pursuer is a bit familiar and a bit of a step back after all his recent growth, but totally flipping their old dynamic on it's head by having Nandor be the one desperately trying to win the trust and affection of this memory-wiped Guillermo, who mostly sees this weird guy bugging him as a pushy nuisance? I'm here for it.
B) "From Panera Bread you came, and to Panera Bread you will return once again!" is now foreshadowing
C) MANY things they could do with memory-wiped Guillermo. Is he now meek and self-conscious with no self esteem again, because he earned that confidence through his trials and tribulations in the vampires' world? Did he grow in confidence a different way and now he's actually *gasp* well-adjusted? Does he SEEM well adjusted but actually under his polite every day Panera Bread manager facade he's still got something deeply fucked going on? So many great possibilities, either for exploring how he could've turned out different under different circumstances, or for showcasing just how far he's come over these 12 years and 4 seasons by showing us where he started.
D) Everyone's attempts to bring Guillermo home would just be such a beautiful way to show how he's actually wormed his way into the hearts and lives of these vampires. I mean for a fucking start, he is literally helping to raise Baby Colin Robinson this season. I think if I saw Colin talking to this man who doesn't remember him about his uncle Memo who always supported him no matter what, my lungs would cave in. And much in the same vein of Laszlo's "that would be a humiliating end for you" to Nandor, I can see him talking to shy, unassuming Panera Guillermo all serious and solemn, lamenting the man he once was and could be again if he'd just remember, damn you. And as for Nadja we'll that leads us onto point:
E) This whole situation would almost directly parallel Nadja's season one plot with Gregor/Jeff. She sees Nandor, her friend who's heartbreaks she's always found upsetting and tried to prevent (see 'Gail'), and sees him helplessly yearning for a man who might've loved him in a past life, but now doesn't remember who he is. Lbr, that's gonna hit close to home. Especially if we go with the new Guillermo is back to being a self-conscious pushover idea, after once being a man strong and deadly enough to be a bodyguard to fucking vampires, because that's exactly what happened with her warrior love Gregor becoming Jeff. I just think this parallel could open up some fucking incredible conversations between her and Nandor and memory-wiped Guillermo.
Obviously, this wouldn't address all the things we've had brought up this season, like the new Forbidden Romance angle, and this probably isn't gonna happen. But I love it and I may just have to try and write it sometime if I have the time and energy.
If anyone loses their memory, though, whoever is is, I hope one of the ways their friends try to bring it back is by making them watch the documentary footage.

MAG 135 Relisten
Activity on my first listen: New day, new session of putting up a new fence!
"Tell him that Maxwell Rayner sends his regards and offers – sanctuary. A time of holy darkness is at hand, when the Eye will close forever, and in the spirit of the friendship they once shared, he offers an opportunity to surrender. Forsake the Ceaseless Watcher, abandon your position, and you shall be spared in the blind world to come." Well, she jinxed it... (Also, kind of foreshadowing of Jonah's age? Yeah, he's not referenced directly here, but I mean it's canon?)
"I remembered in my heart that deep down they were vicious, spiteful people who used their faith to hurt others" That’s something you hear quite often from religious fanatics...
"But the natural state of the universe is darkness." ... She's kind of right? Also another overlap to the Vast again (another one being dark water, deep seas.)
"And I tell them to look again at ‘life,’ at the pain and suffering and misery that it brings with it." Is the Peoples' Church antinatalistic?
"Did you know that the oldest single thing on Earth given life by the light is the Great Basin bristlecone pine tree?" GAsdlkasf, that's another question showing up in the Jonathan asks you things-video xD The question starts sooo dramatic and then it's a happy little tree!
"Otherwise, well, weight is very important when planning a launch, and it could hardly have escaped their notice that there were four people, in that rocket. Three astronauts, and one unlucky nyctophobe, sealed in a lightless box, silenced, but not sedated, apparently indistinguishable from the rest of the supplies." Kind of a pity this gets swept under a rug. We hear pretty little about that one, so little that after my first listen I wondered if I have just dreamed this part.
"I suppose there is also an element of provocation here as well. Even with the loss of Darvish, we will still be victorious." Totally forgot about Darvish again... Had to look up the name, absolutely could not remember where it came up before. (If anyone's wondering, MAG 109.)
JON: "I don’t – like interacting with the rest of the Institute these days. The way they look at me, I – I don’t know. I don’t know what they’ve heard, what the rumors going around are, but –" Is it different now than with Gertrude? Gertrude was always into some bullshit, all her assistants died (how many were there? 5? Fiona, Emma, Eric, Sarah and Michael), did any of the other Institute staff ever noticed anything? Sasha at least got that the old lady thing was just a facade...
ELIAS: "There was. (handcuffs rattle) It required you to be absent." BASIRA: (sigh) "You wanted him to go in there." ELIAS: "And you would never have allowed it, had you been present." BASIRA: "Why?" ELIAS: (cheek) "Would you simply believe I wanted you and Daisy reunited?" BASIRA: "No." Yeah good, don't trust Elias' bullshit. It'd be more believable if he said he thought Daisy could act as a "replacement" for Melanie, since they lost her as a fighter. Does Elias consider Basira a threat to his plan? Or just another tool? She gets quite hostile towards his precious Archivist, which could be dangerous.
ELIAS: "Fine. Consider it a test. Things are – coming, things that will need John to be far stronger and more willing to use his connection to our patron. His performance during the Unknowing was… disappointing. I needed a way to force him to harness his ability more acutely than he had before. The coffin was a useful tool, Daisy an adequate bait." I never believed Elias' stupid Archivist training montage. I've talked about this before, I always thought it was a weak excuse and I'm happy it was just this: an excuse XD
BASIRA: "But what’s the point? You aren’t getting your ritual off from in here, so what do you need him for? (inhale) What’s so important you need him stronger?" Yes, exactly this! I also thought there is no way Elias is a threat right now. But his most dangerous expertise has always been manipulation based on knowing more than others do and this he can perform quite adequately from the inside of a prison cell it seems. As long as he got connections to the outside, he'll find a way. And I have to say, he does provide rather good excuses for his "reason" to make Jon stronger by whipping up ritual after ritual and enemy after enemy who has to be stopped.
ELIAS: "You thought the final death of Maxwell Rayner might have sufficiently derailed them? Yes, that was my hope too, but alas it would seem not." BASIRA: "Maxwell… You. You called in that tip, sent us out to their warehouse." ELIAS: "And now I’m sending you out again." This for example. In combination with his "I can't see inside the Dark so I don't know if they've already been stopped so you have to go and look for yourselves" is quite a good excuse. I wonder if Elias hoped he could have somehow marked Jon with the Dark back then already, like with Melanie in MAG 102.

*slams fist on the counter* wait I made a mistake- I had to rewatch Shadow Play and I totally missed the circlet! "those who bring light inevitably bring darkness to those they hold dear" dang nabbit they really did foreshadow the possession! is this something that happened in the past, Wukong suffering from the tightening spell / possible possession that happened during their fight, or is THIS what Macky meant by "something's coming. something you're not even close to being ready for." DID YOU LISTEN TO THE ENTIRE SEASONAL FUTURE THERE??? I think my memory mixed up bc of theories and there's too many similar scenes around and I was also under bafflement from: > "I think there's some kind of jealousy between them. And a lot of bitterness. Shadow Play hinted towards their history - that Macaque was Wukong's mentor at some point many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many years ago. And Wukong became More than Macaque, and Wukong just... forgot about him." < Sorry Macky is a complete loser so I found this statement absolutely hilarious that he could ever mentor Wukong or be stronger than him at one point XD We don't find out until the S4 special but *scratches head* we can ease into it in the first two episodes. Macky himself has given quite a few hints as to what it was, and honestly? The first 2-3 minutes of the 2nd episode is basically a confirmation banging pots and pans. It's pretty obvious what happened next.
There's so much foreshadowing in this show. You're really only going to pick up on more and more as you rewatch it.
Looking forward to those scenes

MAG 79 - hair dying session
Oh, there we have the Potassium in Martin's name!
I'm sad Tim is so fixated on seeing Jon as a villain. I see that at his point it's a natural reaction of him. Jon massively antagonized him. It's still heartbreaking.
TIM "This isn’t office politics. It’s not like he’s had one too many at the Christmas party and started ranting about the Greeks." - Wait, did this happen once? I would fit so well! God I wanna see tipsy Jon infodumping or ranting!
You can totally see Martin's manipulation talent here. It's not straight up backtalk at Tim, it's gently guiding him.
Oh fuck, them stumbling upon warped Not!Sasha gave me serious chills. I love shit like that.
JON "God, I’m an idiot. Smash the table, kill the monster, stupid! Lazy, sloppy assumption. Of course the table was binding it." - That is literally, what the statement-giver in MAG 78 described, yes! It was so obvious.
"All the pieces were there. And I just… I couldn’t see it." - It'll give him that, his job is not to understand. He simply has to observe.
Martin snapping is so much fun! (There a wonderful animatic on Youtube of that scene btw!)
MARTIN "If we were all happy that wouldn’t actually be the end of the world." - MAG 160, they're actually happy; The world ends :´)
TIM "Stay back!" MICHAEL "No." - The Magnus Archives is an office comedy… xD
MICHAEL "None of you are protected down here." - Tunnels being a blind spot for the Eye foreshadowing!
JON "I can’t fight it with a pipe. I’m tired just carrying it." - There we have the hint of Jon being scrawny, getting tired from just carrying a metal pipe is quite an achievement. Also, that is THE pipe :) With his fingerprints…
NOT!SASHA "I’m going to wear you, John. I’m going to wear everything you are." - That sounds very disturbing…
Not!Sasha's statement: Once upon a time there was [talks in third person], but they're talking about themself-trope. We also had this in MAG 29. I liked it there, somehow I don't like it here. It is clear, that it's about itself and that makes it a bit too cringy for my liking. But some things about the Stranger are just cringy and that's alright.
NOT!SASHA "Then one day it was sent to the house of its enemy, which had the biggest eyes you ever did see." - More Institute being all about eyes and watching.
NOT!SASHA "You really aren’t even a shadow of your predecessor. You’re nothing." - The Stranger really loves mocking Jon especially in comparison to Gertrude, does it? It's gonna happen again in the Unknowing.
NOT!SASHA "You’ll miss the Unknowing, of course, but you wouldn’t understand it anyway." - The Unknowing has already been fleshed out. Because that's it in essence. Not understanding what's going on anymore. It comes up in the Unknowing.
JON "I’m sorry. Martin, Tim… Sasha. I’m so sorry. I should have… I didn’t… I’m sorry." - T_T (First name he said is Martin :D)
NOT!SASHA "I wonder, if I wear you, will I really become the Archivist? Rob the eye of its pupil?" - Interesting question, but I also don't think it would work like that. Also Archivist is already referred to as the pupil of the eye!
Hm, the sound of shifting stone happens very quick there, I thought it was longer. However, I think it still does a great job to show what just happened, I remember immediately understanding what was going on. I mean the whole season we got to hear how the tunnels changed, walls suddenly appearing, the floor opening up instead of the trap door. And finally we get to see that old man who's being all this!
An old man you say? I wonder who it could be...

Personally been in the TW fandom long before the Eng! release and I’m absolutely loving it 💖 But if you could, do you have any pointers for new players? (Also on a Personal opinion, is FG!Leona SSR worth it? He’s so 😍 but with other events coming I’m reconsidering)
#im_broke2pullothers #sacrificingprettyboys4prettyboys
Tumblr media
Hmmm, some advice for new players:
Be patient, hoard your keys and gems; DON’T roll on normal banners, roll ONLY on limited or event banners! Dorm Uniform cards are permanent, so they can spook you on limited/event banners (excluding birthday ones).
If you don’t mind spoilers, you can always look at the order of events in the JP server to help you plan which limited banners to save for.
Do weekly missions and Twistune missions! Read vignettes! They’ll help you accumulate gems.
I technically already said this, but I’ll say it again: READ VIGNETTES. They’re really fun, and they expand on the characters we don’t see a lot of in the main story. Some vignettes also drop important lore or foreshadowing for events in the main story. It really enhances the experience!
Don’t just read/play the main story. Get involved in events, because those also reward you with free gems, keys, character upgrade materials, and even event exclusive freebie cards.
Every month, Sam’s shop resets. You can buy 3 keys by using Exam Tokens (350 tokens total). You can also get a Tenfold Key and 2 more Keys under the Gem Shop tab (costing 300 gems total, which means you’re paying 10 rolls to get 12 in return, a net positive).
Invest in your SR cards as well as your SSR cards! Level them up, strength their magic spells, and raise their buddy levels! You’ll need them for the meta (especially healers for Defense tests) 😂 Also, uh... without spoiling anything plot-wise, you WILL need diverse teams for chapter 6 of the main story.
This is the most important advice of all: I know it’s exciting to get into a new game/fandom and that, oftentimes, you want to share this passion with others, but please be sure to treat other fans with kindness and respect.
On the subject of Fairy Gala Leona, I’d say if you like the aesthetic (which I personally do xD) and/or the character, then go for it! However, if you’re particularly concerned with how good he is gameplay/meta-wise, FG Leona isn’t really a worthwhile card. He works well in very specific team builds, particularly with Dorm Kalim (because of the modest buddy attack boost + Duo), but overall? FG Leona isn’t a very flexible unit.

I love that first conversation you have with Ilmo at the FBC observation post. Right before you speak to him Saga says "what kind of cult calls itself a cult?" the exact same line he uses later. On a first playthrough I just thought he was a charming friendly guy but when you listen to it again after beating the game he's sus as hell. Saga asks him if he knows anything about the murders that could help and he doesn't answer the question at all and just starts talking about his tours lmao. And neither Saga nor the player question it because he's just so effortlessly charming. The foreshadowing in this game and the way you can go back to things and they take on a different meaning is amazing.
Ooh, thnx for this message <3
Yess, the level to detail and foreshadowing wow! Cool, I totally didn't catch/register it anymore that Saga basically said the same thing Ilmo says later on in the game :0 Neat catch.
On my first watch I thought similar: just a funny sales guy trying to remind you of all the services he has XD but looking back, it's very convenient and an easy distraction of him knowing more.
(Though John Wolfe quickly suspected them from the get-go)
In the same part where you meet him the first time, if you stay and listen in on Steven and Ilmo's convo Steven continues fixing the station and is like "Racoons my ass". Not long after Ilmo half-jokingly tells Saga that it's probably the raccoons that bit the wires at the station. And then he offers the guy VIP to Coffee World xD
Ilmo is so charming and easy-going 👌
When you first meet them at Watery and you ask them about the cult, when Ilmo's talking you can see Jaakko kind of scratching his head. Could be a random idle animation, or him being sorta nervous about the whole deal.
I bet there are more little things that foreshadow or hint to plot beats later on in the game.

DS9 2x13 Armageddon Game thoughts (rewatching, so possible future spoilers)
Julian does seem to like monologuing XD
Miles giving Julian all the credit and Julian being so reluctant to accept it - my heart, I cannot!
"I suppose another day won't kill me" ...but it almost will! Foreshadowing!
Miles saving Julian when he had been well-hidden and Julian very much wasn't!
These officials are very good at lying, I'll give them that
Callback to Miles' defence of rations earlier in the season XD
Oh, he's ever the doctor and I love how consistently that shows
And I love it how Miles' experience is coming out with him knowing that the best thing is not to move
Aw, Julian biting his lip after offering to help: knowing he's an augment, this can definitely be seen as him deciding to put a more unusual skill he shouldn't have out there, possibly rising exposure, for it be dismissed
I'm glad we're shown how upset and shaken the crew are at the news of death. Their faces in Sisko's office are just... <3
This whole conversation Julian and Miles are having about women isn't quite banter, but it would be if they were friends. I really don't know if Julian is winding Miles up on purpose to get his mind off the situation, knowing what he's doing, or if he is just an idiot.
( Though ngl, my Julian/Miles addled mind is reading this as Julian totally overcompensating to cover up his massive crush on Miles by going on about women.)
Doctor Julian is best Julian
KEIKO MY BELOVED I wish you didn't have to feel this way
I am SO curious what is in Julian's diary. I suppose even in a diary - especially presumably one on a PADD - he wouldn't even hint at his augmentations, given the risk of discovery.
"I suppose I should send them to his parents..." - No, you reallly shouldn't.
I love how proud Jadzia is whenever Quark is thoughtful. That expression definitely feels like she's showing off to Kira: "See, Ferengi are actually good too!"
Also I'm noticing far more snippets of Jadzia and Kira just hanging out and supporting each other and being friends <3 Not sure why I didn't see this ship before but it has my entire heart now.
Keiko persuading them the footage is suspicious is all so much funnier knowing she's wrong about the coffee. Although WHAT a good job she was!
Huh, initially Miles was describing the components to Julian (dark blue coil beside the green cylinder), but now he's moved fto calling them by name (subprocessor, RFoscillators). Either Julian has faked learning quickly otr let on how much he knows about electronics.
Julian really doesn't want to listen to Miles' thinking he'll die - but even less to Miles talking about Keiko...
Oh, I've just remembered why they tried to kill them!
"The T'Lani and Kellerun have finally made peace" - and boy, what a way to ensuring it survives, iirc....
Julian's complete bafflement at the lengths they were willing to go. He cannot understand killing innocent people at all!
"I'm sorry I didn't get us home, Chief." And he probably feels responsible, too, seeing that he ended up being the one to make the radio and contact the T'Lani.
"You did your best. It's been an honour serving with you." MY HEART.
Oooh, not home and dry yet, a space race!
I can't believe they'd risk a BIGGER war against the Federation to protect their peace?! They're not thinking this through very thoroughly, are they.
Idk why, but this fight scene has very TOS energy to me
Clever clever clever! Took me a second to figure out after the runabout exploded, but I got there before the T'Lani did so I'm pleased with that :P
Oh, Julian's so genuine and sweet, he just wants to be friends and have Miles like him
I can understand your time alone with him being hell seeing as you were dying, but you're definitely overexaggerating how bad Julian was, Miles
That reveal is still a favourite. What a twist XD
O'BRIEN: You know, I wouldn't mind a cup of coffee right now. KEIKO: Miles, you never drink coffee in the afternoon. O'BRIEN: Sure I do. KEIKO: You do?
I really love this episode. What a banger.

Critical Role, Campaign 3 Episode 43
NOOOOOO!!! No Taliesin? Not good ... no, but seriously, get well soon, mate!
The Glove? Dear gods ... feet? Even worse ... this ad is so bad even Sam's having trouble with THIS ONE ... Laura: "Oh shit!" Sam: "No, it's all right it's just acting!" I'm dead ...
Ashley: "What you don't understand is what you don't understand!"
Is Matt maybe a little overly enthusiastic with this plug? Do we care?
Liam: "Let's talk about comic books!" Bit high pitched there, boyo ...
Might be one of the most chaotic intros yet, this one.
Last Thursday Night on a Monday night of the year, it would seem. Here we go, then ...
So what's gonna happen? What was that bird thing? Is it Shithead? Is Letters' number finally up?
Laura, what did you just whisper to Ashley?
Does a 22 hit FCG? Of course it does! And it's a dookie bomb? Wait ... IT'S POISONOUS?!!!
Fearne is NOT actually naked Sam, pay attention to the art ...
Speak With Small Beasts? Hmmm, something tells me it won't work on THIS thing.
3 D10 and she only inflicts 4 points of damage ... that is a CLASSIC D&D moment right there.
Seedling! Yessssss! Sweet!
This is definitely NOT just a bird ...
Ice Knife? Okay ... whoa, and that DID IT?!!! Nice ... okay, guess it WAS just a bird.
Aaaaaaaaaaah! It lives again! Fuuuuuuuck!
IT'S UNDEAD!!! I fucken knew it!
Ewwwww, it's slimy? Bleurgh!
Matt: "It's an awkward creature." No shit!
So it's just belligerent? Fuck, this thing really IS a Shithead. Sam: "I don't know if it CAN be killed, but let's try!"
Oh wow, Laudna's unleashing Pate on it ... thus should be interesting. CAN Pate fly forever? OH YES!!! HEX THE FUCKER!!!
Laudna can now track it for 8 hours. Sam: "This is our day now?"
Pate seems vaguely heartbroken that it fled ... that's kind of tragic.
Genuine eternal torment! Evil! I think I love the idea that THIS THING is FCG's ultimate nemesis. XD This is a perfect foil for Sam.
Chetney: "Did you steal its lover?" You what?
Matt: "No it's not big enough to carry of Ashton." Oh, are they actually making this a thing or is Matt just taking the piss?
Fearne: "Accepting the darkness is actually kind of fun."
Gingerbread mug AND A SPITTAKE!!! WTF just happened? XD
Oh, so Ashton REALLY IS gone ... NOW what?
Keystone Cop City ... Travis: "This year needs TO END!!!"
Imigen Messages Ashton ... he's "following a thing" ... apparently this was Taliesin's request. Smart, but will this complicate things?
Fearne: "What if he's a part if you?" Huh?
Matt is quietly pissing himself laughing about the chaos he hath unleashed upon us ...
Laudna (gasping): "MAYBE DELILAH IS IN HIM NOW!!!"
You guys do realise that FCG is currently COVERED in horrendous shite right now, right?
Into the Seminary then ... yeah, they clearly seem to have forgotten all about the shitbomb aftermath ...
Orym is SHORT. I love it.
Vigil Quarter ...
Fearne wants to submit her credentials for the professorship ... XD I love this ... "Lots of stuff with like ... FIRE." Oh boy ...
A PRESENCE? Hmmmmmmm ...
This ... PERSON is totally giving me vibes like The Feared in The First Law ...
They're from Vasselheim? Hmmm ... Travis: "Vasselheim enters the game!"
A Judicator? Sounds terrifying ... I was right, this thing IS a bit like The Feared ... yeesh ...
Laura: "Looking for the stolen texts, 100%." Marisha: "Totally." Oh yeah, I agree.
The Nightmare version of Carrot Top ... yeah, I don't get the reference but I still understand kind of what you're on about ...
Ah ... okay, NOW I'm thinking Matt's been reading a lot Mistborn lately too ...
Ooooooooh ... this is just DRIPPING in foreshadowing now, isn't it? Mr Mercer, your signposting is showing ...
Fast Friends! HAHA!!! Nicely done.
Oh there we go, FINALLY they're acknowledging the STANKINESS ...
Carolle: "I'm not supposed to be telling you this." FCG: "I know, but it's nice to be naughty sometimes."
Sam, you sneaky little shit ... XD Yes, a walkabout would be in order right now.
Oh no, that's not suspicious at all ...
FCG: "Are we going to KILL this girl?" Laudna: "No, we're just going to get as much information as we can out of her before she HATES US."
Plurple?
Oh this is so bad, she's too nice ...
Laura: "It's like Overboard, you know?" Yes, I too find that movie somewhat problematic ...
Ah, we've arrived ... this place looks fancy ... yeah, this lot bear watching. XD
Oh this house looks quite quaint ... is that intentional? Oh, it's for a diminutive person. Of course.
Yeah, just LET HER GO. Ooh, a tip! Nice kne Orym.
Wait, was that from the fungus? Oh dear ...
Anybody home? Natural 10 ... Matt: "Perfectly average."
Okay, this place is making ME suspicious too ... is there going to be a problem here?
Are you guys SERIOUSLY going to BREAK IN right now?
Did Fearne just THROW Chetney inside? XD
At the mention of the birdbath Travis' eyes go STRAIGHT to Sam ... XD
Fearne: "Are we sure we don't just want to KNOCK?" YES!!! Exactly! Come on, guys!
The door is booby-trapped ... hmmm ...
Travis (as Chetney): "Is there any kind of guttering?" Matt: "Yes." Travis: "Damn it!"
FCG starts mowing the lawn I order to appear to be a gardener. Oh gods this is getting ridiculous ... Imogen: "What are you all doing?" Yeah, I'm with you right now, luv ...
Oh no, now Orym's climbing onto the roof ... Laura: "I can't wait for this campaign to be turned into an animated series."
And now here come the guards ...
"Just when I thought I was out they pulled me back in!"
Deception checks ... oh dear ... and everybody ACES the rolls ... okay then ... I can't believe thos actually worked ...
Imogen: "Are you guys still pretending to be gardeners?"
Black Hole Sun video ... oh yeah ...
Disturbing Presence? NO!!! What are you DOING?!!! It was working!
Hex doesn't work like that! Laura misses Hunter's Mark ...
And now Chetney is IN THE HOUSE ... this is either a good thing or REALLY BAD ...
All the bird cooing noises makes FCG flee under Fearne's skirts ... Fearne: "I'll keep you safe."
Faintest smell of sweat ... the smell of nerves? Oh gods, Matt, what the hell is THAT supposed to mean?
Booby-traps galore ... never a good sign.
Oh sure, like a disembodied voice calling out to him isn't going to TOTALLY FREAK HIM OUT if he's here? Really?
Travis: "I feel like Joe Pesci right now!" Damn, yeah, Chetney very nearly just Home Alone'd himself ...
Chetney opens the window ... and everybody is GONE!!! XD Chetney: "What the fuck?!"
Treshi Ball Change?
Chetney: "I thought I smelled body odour ... smell!"
Orym's stupid high perception again ... Laura (as Imogen): "What do your halfling eyes see?" XD
Laudna clambering in the window all creepy style is chef's kiss ...
Oooooooh ... there are TWO MINDS BENEATH THEM!!! Basement! Basement!
Fearne doing the Fremen Sand Dance ... XD
Chetney opens the desk and gets splashed by a booby-trap ... oh, here we go ... 8 points of acid damage? Yikes! And the desk is empty! Matt's glee at how completely pointless that was ... XD
Travis: "Are there Micro Machines on the floor?"
Ashley makes a People Under the Stairs reference and I sm HORRIFIED by how long it takes for anyone else to get it.
Looking for the trapdoor ... ooh, this is sneaky ... yeah, I don't think the painting actually MEANS anything. And FCG is still not getting it ... oh wait ... here we go. Sam: "It's a Delorean!"
STAIRS!!! Yay!
Orym: "We're just two invisible guys, one of us smoking." Oh yeah, that's right, Orym doesn't have dark vision ... MAGIC BLINDING SKULL!!! And now Orym is blinded!
Declaring their intentions ... is this going to prevent a fight?
Teleportation circle ... and now THEY'RE ALL JUMPING INTO IT?!!! Oh boy ...
And now the break ...
Part 2 ... what now? And are we missing anyone?
Sulfur stink ... Sam immediately makes jokes about Laura farting ...
Planerider Ryn? Oh yeah ... but that's not it ... now I'm just confused ...
The letter! Is the letter going to save the day? Oh wait, Orym's still invisible ...
Baryn? Oh dear, not trained with a crossbow! ^^;
Fearne just appointed herself the leader of Bells Hells, then ...
It WAS Ryn! Okay then!
Niles ... okay ...
Strug-a-loogaloo?
Imogen, just tell them who your mother is! Oh, she shows them her arms ... and YES they DO know her mum! I knew it! Well at least THAT defused the situation ...
A Taste of Tal'dorei tankard? XD
Otohan, yes. Very much the conversation killer ... Laudna (grinning): "She killed me! It was very intense."
Ooooooooh ... EXPOSITION!!! Glorious glorious information!
Oh man, Planerider Ryn is a HOOT!!! XD I love how excited she's getting about all of this.
It's effecting the Shadowfell TOO?!!! Oh fuck that's extra bad ...
Oh yeah, the Nightmare King! Him again ...
The furniture's moving again! Shit!
Ryn: "I'm pleased to discover that we haven't been befuddled by dullards." Should we be at all insulted, people?
Predathos ... from Beyond the Stars? Oh for ... are we going all Lovecraft here?
Wait ... so this is like The Gathering for Ruidusborn?
Sounds like Liliana's gone to the Dark Side, then. That's not good at all ...
Oh! Allies! Yes! Here we go!
Chetney: "Oh yes, I'm Planewalker Chetney. I used to ride, but ... not at this age."
Fearne is like TOTALLY embarassing Imogen with her inadvertent praise (of sorts) ... oh wow, could they actually help her CONTROL that chaotic shit?
The city ... wait, IS THAT what happened at the end of EXU Calamity? O.O
Seriously, if Predathos turns out to be Cthulu I'm gonna laugh my arse off ...
Yeah, the Shadowfell's basically like the Upside-Down ...
Rakshasaaaaaaaaaaa! XD
So not like the Acrobat and the Flea, then? Sorry this whole conversation is giving me massive Stranger Things vibes now ... XD
Yes. Definitely Jeff Goldblum vibes.
The Cerberus Assembly "bullied their way into their studies"? Yeah, sounds about right ... seriously, where's Caleb when you need him?
Yeah, maybe an army's not the best plan right now ... but friends would still be helpful. Hey, guys, call Dorian! Get him to bring Opal and Ted and Dariax!
Come on, Imogen's not THAT fragile!
Laura (singing): "From a distance ..." Damn it ... XD
Oh yeah! Fearne's nana! Yeah! Call on her too! Wait ... The Fatestitcher? WHAAAAAAAT?!!!
Is this news to Fearne? Sam and Laura: "INSIGHT CHECK!!!"
It's A LITTLE BIT of news to her? Wow, the more she talks the more it sounds like some weird conspiracy ... AUNTIES?!!!
Chetney: "Did your home have legs?" Laudna: "Chicken legs?" Fearne: "No, it was a normal home." Imogen: "That walked around?"
Yeah, Morri is totally Baba Yaga. I can totally see that one coming ...
Ira's been working with EVERYBODY. Dude's like a total chaos gremlin ...
Two weeks? Ticktock ticktock ...
Ah, the return of "time is a weird soup" ... XD
Bompers? Who TF is Bompers?
Fearne is WAY too enthusiastic about this idea. XD Imogen is gonna message her ... oh this is gonna be super awful, I just know it ...
Morri the Fate Stinker ... oh Matt, you fool ... XD
This is just getting worse by the second, is Imogen REALLY gonna message Morri?
There's no way Liliana wants Imogen mixed up in this. She loves her, she's her mother ...
Imogen messages Morri ... oh boy, that is a messy one ...
Watching Travis while Morri replies ... yeah ... that is SUPER CREEPY ... and I love how Fearne still thinks she's so cuddly ... meanwhile Imogen is TERRIFIED ...
Oh yeah, who in Vasselheim IS the problem here?
I love Niles ... XD
Oooooooh ... foreboding ... Matt Mercer, stop with the doom and gloom already, you're making us nervous ...
Back to the basement, yeah, probably best.
Teleported back. Okay, is everything okay? Oh shit ... loud bangs are never good ...
It's the feckin Judicators, it has to be ... "Smell them ... find them." Matt: "And that's where we're gonna call it a night!"
AAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!! Not ANOTHER cliffhanger, not now with a 2 week wait! DAMN YOU MERCER!!!
