Happy Holidays! I’ve been on a bit of an angst fix lately, so if you don’t mind, I’m going to brainrot in your inbox about it.

I’ve been thinking about a scenario where Yuu just finally snaps. I mean, an entire school year of being trapped in a foreign world with no certain hope of seeing your family again, being forced to contend with (at least) 7 life-or-death scenarios, the massive egos these teenage boys have, and probably at least a little bullying from the NRC students for being magicless. I mean come on, I love our boys and all, but a lot of them are kind of awful people. There’s no way a regular person’s mental health survives that.

And maybe Yuu, tired of it all, packs up what little they have and leaves. Surely their prospects couldn’t get any worse than at NRC. Maybe Yuu tries their luck at RSA in finding someone to help them go home. Maybe Yuu just wanders until they find somewhere where they can be something. Would they even leave a letter behind explaining what happened to them, or would they just assume no one would care anyway?

I just want some more Yuu angst lol

I want to start off by saying that, in my personal opinion based off of the in game voicelines and vignettes, that the various NRC boys do like Yuu and enjoy having them around. They think of them as the same of any other freshmen student at NRC, which is sort of the problem.

The average NRC freshmen has magic, a dormitory with a housewarden responsible for "guiding" them, and a family they can fall back on if things get rough. The average student has a basic understanding of the history of the world they live in, of it's pop culture, it's food, it's clothes, and a bunch of other things that they might not think about because of how ingrained it is in their very being. Yuu has none of those things. They don't even have a cannon club which I think is more meant to allow players to have head cannons, but since we are talking angst I have wondered if since Yuu and Grim are one student, any club Yuu wanted to join would have to take Grim as well and no one wanted to deal with that. So Grim started his own "club" and Yuu just takes pictures of birthday celebrations and events they aren't able to fully participate in for the school at Crowley's request.

Ace's first reaction to Yuu is to bully them for not having magic. Deuce admits to having done the same thing as when he was a child, and is very embarrassed by it. We don't really see Yuu getting outright bullied outside of this, but given how the faceless students reacted to Deuce being excited for Starsending, yeah I think Yuu has had to deal with some bullying. And while I do think Adeuce (and the rest of Heartslabyul really) would stick up for them, it wouldn't make it stop. If anything it just gets sneakier and Yuu, not wanting to cause any problems, does their best to cover it up. Something about keeping a stiff upper lip or a smile better suiting a hero and all that.

The overblots is a whole separate issue. We get two real apologies, one from Riddle and one from Vil, who again do not take Yuu being magicless in to much thought. They think of Yuu highly! They are a housewarden of their own little dorm! And they take such good care of Grim and the others, not to mention all those overblots you survived! Not many mages can claim that but you can! What could you possibly have to be stressed about?

As if that isn't the entire problem. As if anyone understands where Yuu is coming from. As if they even would care if they did.

They might be just as capable as any other freshmen, but when school ends, hell even when it goes on a break, they have no where to go. They were stripped from their friends, family, and especially their belongings, including money and autonomy! I have some thoughts about my own Yuu wanting to be nurse in her world, but given how much of even basic medical care seems to rely on magic in Twisted Wonderland I wonder if that would even be a career path any magicless person could take. We know a lot of them work at Styx because they don't risk blot accumulation, but even cooking is done with magic (if it can be) in Twisted Wonderland! How would you feel if you had your heart set on being a doctor, worked really hard to get good grades and took up a part time job to save for college/university only to be transported to a different world with different laws of physics completely against your will. A world where all that hard work is meaningless and you might not be able to accomplish those dreams of yours. And! AND AND! If you get upset about it, that will be seen as a weakness on your part and no one will care.

Because hey, they had to work for what they have. Why can't you? They didn't ask to be born with magic (even though they would have probably) so there is no use crying about things you can't change. Ruggie and Jamil do seem to feel a bit of sympathy to Yuu's plight, but neither of them think twice about exploiting Yuu for their own gain. Sure it might be unfair, but life is in general! It's not their fault, they aren't to blame. And that's really how all of NRC sees it, they aren't to blame for Yuu's circumstances, so they aren't owed any special treatment.

How Yuu snaps and what they do because of it would really come down to how you hc your Yuu to be. My own personal thoughts come back to personal autonomy a lot; I don't think Yuu has much of it and that would grate on me constantly. I could see Yuu hearing their friends talk about their plans for the future, and though Ace and especially Deuce try to include them in the conversation they can't add much. Ace applauds them, says "we need to take things easy! We're still freshmen..." and drones on about how he just wants to enjoy school life. And maybe Yuu does too, but they have no concrete answer about whether or not they can get home. They don't have the support system that their classmates do, so there really isn't anything waiting for them after the school year ends. Yuu feels so helpless, and they don't have the words to explain how they feel, because how could they?

If Malleus's overblot ends without any real repercussions (which I doubt it will but hey, I am like 65/35 on whether or not he apologizes to Yuu specifically for almost killing them I will be so pissed if he doesn't) I could see everyone else making fun of Malleus for loosing while Yuu just. Stares off into the distance, trying really hard not to cry in front of people they are convinced will make fun of them. This has all been scary, things like this just aren't possible in their world and they aren't mentally prepared to face death again.

And they are convinced they will. You can say overblots are rare all you like, but Yuu has practically seen one once a month ever since they arrived in this world. It is normal to them, and who should they trust? The lying headmaster or their lying eyes and ears?

If Yuu decides to run away, I think that the Ramshackle ghosts might try to stop them. Sure the headmaster sucks, but your ghost buddies really love you! And want to support you in anyway they can, so does Grim! He wants to be together for the next 100 years, and while he does really want to stay at NRC so he can be the world's greatest mage... I think he might love Yuu more. Just a tiny bit. He would play it off as him being too good for the school, or that he and Yuu are only one student after all so he will be expelled... but really he wants to come with because he will be worried about Yuu.

While going to RSA does sound nice on paper, Yuu doesn't really have a reason to go there. They aren't exactly on first name basis with any of the students we've met so far, and there is always the risk of Che'nya snitching to Riddle and Trey. Better to try and find a place where they can be something and maybe send letters to all the magical academies they can get contact information for to see if they can help. And also, to see if they will accept Grim as a full student, got to make sure he isn't sacrificing his dream for nothing!

The ghosts, realizing they can't convince Yuu not to leave decide to help. They already sell things at the markets downtown, so maybe they chat with some of their clients and convince them to let Yuu rent a room for a while. You have the option in Portfest to mention you have been to Craneport before, and I like the thought of Yuu having a part time job there. Maybe the ghosts explain that Yuu has no real family to go back to and Yuu's part time employer agrees to give them a full time job while Yuu figures out where they want to go.

Another thing related to personal autonomy, Yuu wouldn't have government documents if they just got isekaid out of the blue. I could see that being a huge issue for traveling to different countries and trying to establish a life. I also wonder if Crowley even did anything about that... but assuming he did since he (allegedly) talked to the school board about what to do with Yuu I think the ghosts would get them for Yuu on the condition they still come visit sometimes.

As for the note, I think Yuu would leave one simply because they feel like they didn't have the words to explain themselves out loud. And because they don't want to face the fight they know will come where everyone tells them to just suck it up and get on with it. These are teenage boys they are dealing with, their brains just can't fully comprehend the situation Yuu is in and they have given up expecting them to.

Just so we're clear, I think this would devastate Ace and Deuce, maybe to the point of destroying their friendship, at least for a while. Ace does think about Yuu not having magic, he wants to protect them. He says so when you level him to max, that protecting you will be easy, but clearly it wasn't. Clearly he failed you, and what does Ace do when he feels bad? He takes it out on everyone else and in this case especially Deuce. Deuce just feels stupid, which he already does a lot, but he really saw you as being around for the rest of his life. And now you aren't, and not for a happy reason like you got to go home. You aren't there because they failed you.

The others are a bit of a mixed bag I could do a separate post about but to hit the other big one...

I have no real idea how Malleus would react. I can see him thinking this means Yuu is afraid of him now, which I don't think he would react well to, but assuming this is post ob then he might be willing to take responsibility for it. It would certainly make him think, but how that thought would manifest? Outside of the obvious weather changes I do not know. I could see him being slightly resentful to his mother for cursing him to be hated by humans and loved only by fae when he so desperately wanted to be loved by one specific human. They were his first real friend, and he didn't treasure them in a way they found meaningful.

idk Yuu dropping off the grid isn't something I can see Crowley letting happen, but I can see why Yuu would want to try.

Hello, first time requesting anything and I hope I do this right. I like what you've posted previously and I hope you enjoy this request idea.

I saw screenshots of a post recently about a TWST x Tinkerbell/Pirate Fairy event where shenanigans happens and everyone's UM's are switch around.

But what if Yuu got someone else's UM? Would they go power mad? OB by accident because they couldn't control the amount of magic? Just chill until the fairies corrected the switch? How would the owner of the UM deal with Yuu handling their power feel? And how would they feel about being magicless for the time being?

Suggested students are Grim, Azul, Jamil, Vil and Deuce, or anyone else you would prefer, all of them are fun options.

A/N: I heavily loved this movie as a child and I still love it and watch it on occasion. I know this movie so well I can predict the dialogue :sob: I switched out Grim for Idia because I believe there is a mention that Grim had a curse in Book 6 (correct me if I am wrong) But it was while Idia was discussing some possible theories about the Overblots. Because I loved this movie so much and I am watching it as a I write I will be yapping...a lot. Like just yap yap yap yap and I will be making more parts to this because I have a lot of Ideas. I also added Malleus because he is the only one in Diasmonia with a confirmed/offical UM.

For context there will be a Mage like Zarina who was obviously an outcast and who was very innovative and wanted to discover new things (Such as the Fairy Dust) The way I imagine it the mage probably wanted to do things that were considered "Illegal" for Mage magic the NRC students ran into this person and they used their UM to switch the powers of students.

(Character's relationships can be read as platonic or romantic)

Deuce (Bet the Limit)

He is not worried. Although he'd be more concerned about Yuu accidentally using it mid class and hurting someone. His UM is mainly dependent on others attacks so I don't think there would be an issue about hurting someone deeply to the point of hospitalization.

He is worried about the fact he can't use magic anymore. He used his flaunt his magic a lot in middle school now he's not no power (Karma really came back for him didn't it)

If Yuu casually happens to get his ability to summon cauldrons it would be hilarious if Yuu dropped a cauldron "Accidentally" On Ace or Crowley's head. He'd feel bad, but It'd be funny.

(Insert video of Ace getting bashed in the head with a Cauldron but it's bad apple.)

He'd eventually adapt to losing his magic, but he does want to try and get it fixed.

He will help Yuu as much as he can with controlling his magic. If they have any questions he will gladly answer them and help to the best of his ability.

Yuu is least likely to go power mad due to Deuce's UM being low on the list for Powers that will make Yuu go bat-shit insane and commit world domination. (Yes I have an actual list)

When Yuu Overblots

He would probably cry like genuinely.

Yuu has gone through enough in TWST and when they finally snap he would be extremely worried for Yuu because he is scared they will get hurt badly/hurt others badly.

Deuce's UM is actually scary so when it comes to overblotting Yuu could hurt A LOT of people.

Riddle's UM won't be able to help and Yuu could just basically absorb every attack that hits them.

Yuu could probably kill someone with his power and that is a really scary though to think about.

(Deuce can too since it is quite his power)

On a skill level there is a possibility Yuu could lose control of the magic, on a power level they could injure a lot of people. Either way Yuu and other people will be getting hurt.

If they somehow stop Yuu's overblot GET THEM THERAPY INSTANTLY make Leona or someone else rich pay for it.

Deuce would look like a sad puppy because he just witnessed his friend he deeply cares about just snap. Probably wouldn't leave Yuu's side while they recover.

He probably feels the most guilty as he couldn't do anything and wished he could have helped more.

Peep Grim crying about his henchman.

If Yuu DOES kill someone um mage jail? or how would that work since they aren't from TWST would they like be in custody in their own world???? because quite literally they have no information on Yuu to send them to Mage Jail.

Azul (It's a Deal)

Instant panic attack instantly.

Considering his backstory and why he is becoming a Mage he would definitely freak out over not having his powers. Bro needs his octopot.

When he learns it was Yuu who got his powers he would feel a bit more relieved

"Yuu can I have my powers back? just make a deal with me."

"HOW TF DO I DO THAT????"

Jade and Floyd are laughing their asses off when he tries to teach you how magic works. They are not going to do anything to help AT ALL.

Azul does NOT feel happy about being powerless at ALL. He has a business to keep running and Yuu is struggling.

I can imagine Yuu accidentally making a contract and stealing someone else's power and then having to keep THAT ONE under control.

Overall I feel like Azul makes top 5 of "Yuu will have a panic attack from being unable to control this power"

Azul would probably adjust to the change but he would not be happy with it at all.

There is a possibility Yuu could go power mad, but Azul is based on capitalism Yuu is not. They would probably only go power mad as a way for threatening/bargaining to go home.

When Yuu Overblots

Pray Yuu has the power under control

Azul's Overblot 2.0 except no tentacles

Azul tries to help the best he can and then gets blasted with magic right in the face. (L bozo)

When Yuu just snaps Azul wishes he could of down more, but he realizes he only was helping Yuu for himself. Not for them. They had to deal a lot and he probably was the one that broke the camels back for them to overblot.

On a skill level and Power level it would probably be the same as Azul's however Yuu has less control over the power.

Yuu is getting back for when he overblotted. /hj

When Yuu unoverblots Azul gives them an apology and also starts the process for them to see a therapist. Probably get's an earful from Deuce and Ace about pushing Yuu over the edge.

Jade (Shock The Heart)

Is not worried.

He doesn't need magic to intimidate people although he needs magic to obtain information.

"Oya? it appears the prefect has my power."

You know how Azul and Deuce would help? He wouldn't

When it comes to Jade's power it can easily be exploited to gain all kinds of information from someone and in the wrong hand's world domination can be caused.

Yuu gets help anyway from Tweedle Dee and Dum over at Heartslabyul.

Yuu would accidentally use Jade's power on people and would probably gain information they wouldn't want to know and probably has gotten traumatized.

Begs Jade to take his power back and he just giggles at Yuu. He is fine with not using Magic, but it is funny to see Yuu attempt to use his magic.

He's enjoying you struggle. However if it gets to a certain point he may help keyword may.

When Yuu overblots

No one is worried lmao.

I mean overblotting is bad, but Jade's power is like so??? normal?? that an overblot would be dangerous, but his conditions are it can only be used once so if Yuu acivates it they probably wouldn't be able to use it again.

If not they are royally fucked tbh.

Jade can't do anything at all and probably will get grilled later for not helping Yuu.

When they unoverblot Yuu Jade is the first one to get them to the infirmary carrying them bridal style (slay king) and making sure they recieve proper treatment. Also apologises for not helping them learn as he was worried they would go power mad.

Jamil (Snake Whisperer)

He is flipping out.

Number 1. Yuu just got this power and barely can control it IMAGINE WHAT COULD HAPPEN.

(Manipulate Crowley into sending them home)

Number 2. Jamil needs his magic and as Kalims retainer he needs it more than Yuu :sob:

Jamil is already stressed out with wrangling Kalim 24/7 now he has this on his hands. Bro just might overblot from stress.

Either way he helps Yuu with gaining control because Yuu almost made Ace choke on his food from accidentally using the UM. And almost made Jack run into a tree (It was funny actually)

We all know how Jamil's overblot turned out someone call up the Octotrio to deal with this again.

There is a possibility Yuu could go power mad. However Yuu is a sweetheart (possibly) and wouldn't control their friends.. right?

Jamil physically can't adjust to being magicless and tries to literally hunt the person down but fails miserably.

When Yuu overblots

I dare Yuu to throw everyone who's fighting so Jamil can get yeeted too (I'd be funny I swear)

Jamil overblot 2.0 except Yuu loses control and accidentally brainwashes everyone. whoops

When Yuu snaps Yuu is coming for everyone INCLUDING CROWLEY his ass is not getting saved.

I pray for everyone who is fighting Yuu. Compared to Deuce's though I'd rather get brainwashed tbh.

If Yuu somehow manages to get pulled out Kalim is making sure everyone who was affected is okay and Jamil is rushing Yuu to the infirmary. When Yuu snaps it would be dreadful tbh and I don't think people would make it out of this OB with Yuu unless they physically got hurt to the point of unconsciousness, or Malleus was like "No don't overblot you're too sexy aha".

Jamil also apologizes for not being able to do enough and makes sure Yuu sees a therapist.

Snake whisperer overblot Yuu and Bet the Limit overblot Yuu are genuinely scary and I'm terrified.

Vil (Fairest One of All)

Instant panic

Vil's UM is so powerful that when a curse is placed with conditions it cannot be lifted even with Vil's interference unless the conditions are met.

Imagine Yuu with that power. Crowley suddenly has a way for Yuu to get home.

Vil would be more concerned with his potato having a power they CANNOT control. Yuu will be accidentally placing curses on people.

Ace would suddenly get paralyzed from the neck down and Yuu didn't know how they did it.

Yuu accidentally paralyzing people is crazy.

Vil helps Yuu try to gain control of the power but has a really hard time.

This is another one where if Yuu were to overblot it would be because they accidentally use the UM too much and are stressed because of it.

Vil doesn't mind being magicless however do NOT let his father figure that out he might force Vil out of NRC into modeling.

When Yuu overblots

Uncontrolled curse magic with a stressed-out overblotting Yuu. Yeah this is up there with Bet the limit and Snake Whisperer.

Someone is probably dying.

Vil almost killed Neige for gods sake imagine what YUU COULD DO.

Vil tried to curse Yuu mid overblot but forgot he couldn't use magic.

Vil is actively sending Rook after the mage who switched powers. Vil wants his potato back.

If Yuu manages to snap out of an OB Vil is also the one making sure Yuu gets treatment. He will also pay for their therapy and treatments.

When Vil gets his hand on the mage she will not be existing anymore /hj

Idia (Game, Set, Match)

Every time I say Yuu is terrifying with a certain OB It gets worse. (I should make a list tbh)

Idia is freaking the hell out. Probably has a panic attack but we aren't there yet.

Idia's UM literally control the gates to the underworld and basically keeps the blot monsters in and if Yuu accidentally opens that.

I pray for everyone's safety.

Idia has probably headed a warning about this and is actively hunting down the mage. Ortho is helping too.

This is one of those where I say Yuu should not have it because with one wrong move and hundreds if not thousands of people could get hurt.

Idia is panicking Yuu is panicking Ortho is trying to calm them down.

Yuu most likely overblots because Idia is freaking them out, and they don't want to open the gates to hell.

I wonder if one of his parents could also open and close the gate with their magic that will literally help.

When Yuu overblots

Run everyone the gates of hell opened again.

If I had a nickel for every time someone overblotted and opened the gates of hell I'd have two nickels. It's not a lot of nickels, but it is weird that it happened twice.

Idia is making sure the literal gates of hell did NOT open, and surely enough they did.

Crowley is probably getting sued

In Theory the battle could be easy however when it comes to the UM someone tell Yuu to close the gates.

Blot monster domination 2.0

Ortho manages to hunt the mage down, but only until after the overblot is over and the gates have opened.

Idia completely forgot about Yuu's condition so when they switched powers he was more focused on closing the gate. He got grilled for that by Ace and Deuce who carried Yuu to the nurses.

I feel like this one is scary but more in the sense that Yuu has the power to the hell world.

Malleus (Fae of Maleficence)

Do I even need to say how bad this would be?

I know damn well most of Diasmonia is tweaking that Waka Sama just lost his power.

When Malleus learns it's Yuu he's more worried about them being stressed out over this and tries to help them the best way he could and even gets Lilia in on it.

Malleus is one of the top 5 mages in the world Yuu is probably one panic attack away from overblotting and putting everyone's ass to sleep.

Malleus is also concerned about the possibility of an overblot so he is definitely trying to keep them from overblotting. Whatever his child of man needs he will snap his fingers and it's done.

Yuu wants a massage? Malleus will arrange that. Yuu needs food he will buy Yuu some. Yuu wants ice cream? He wants some too. Yuu wants a fucking break? He will threaten Crowley for one.

He understands the power that was given to Yuu is a lot handle and will accommodate his Child of man (They are getting married after this)

He is also sending Silver and Sebek after the mage and the mage may or may not be existing after he finds her.

When Yuu overblots

As of 2/26/24 not all of Diasmonia has been updated/finished so I have no information as to how it will end/ how his overblot will go. But let's just imagine it.

Malleus fell into a dream world where he got to be happy with his Child of Man. He is King, he has children, and he's with his Child of Man happily. :SOBBING:

When he get pulled out from the dream he's like why :( probably all pouty since it was a good dream. And then remembers Yuu overblotted and is like no my child of man.

He is the first one to instantly get Yuu help bro can't teleport, but he can run and if he can still turn into a dragon he can fly.

He apologizes to Yuu even though he did all he could he still feel like he could have done more. He gets Yuu all of the treatments they need instantly and when the mage switches back their powers she is deader than his Mom.

MC's Neverending Sleep Overs

Hello I am back again. I decided to continue the little sleep over post. Make it big. This is like, before the relationship of Polyam!Mc. They aren't dating yet but it's flirtatious.

I hope you enjoyed! Idk how I feel about the flow, but I want to write a more platonic version and a more romantic version.

In the beginning the dorm was a lot more empty than you felt comfortable with.

Yeah, sure, you liked your space. In fact, one could say you were ecstatic to learn you got to have your own space despite quite literally showing up out of no where. However, that's all you can actually keep up with in such a large dormitory.

Besides your room, the small bathroom you use, and the living area -all of which had seen better days- the rest of the house started off as a mystery to you. One you were a bit to scared to actually solve

(^This was mostly due to your fear of what you may find hidden behind the many doors of Ramshackle, as well as your desperate desire to avoid the ghosts at all costs.)

It didn't remain that way for very long though, as soon you were being joined by the first years of Heartslabyul, who were starting to be thrown out of their own dorm at an alarming rate.

Ace pretty much spent his first two weeks sleeping on the dorm's ratty old couch, sometimes having to fight Deuce for the position whenever the other began to rebel.

When Cater (or one of the Caters, you weren't ever too sure of who you were talking to at first) started showing up just to "check in" on the freshmen, you knew things had to change.

"Stop showing up at my dorm uninvited!"

No one actually acknowledges your rage, but you let it slide. There's a lot going on and honestly you're more concerned with learning potions then keeping Ace from stealing your good blankets.

And besides, with all the time you invested in making the tart for the dorm leader, be should be out of your hair soon enough, right?

That's what you were thinking, up until Riddle overblots.

In those moments you don't think you'll be making it back to the dorm period.

Fortunately you were wrong, but the event was so jarring that nightmare begin to haunt you everytime you drift off.

You quickly come to miss Ace and Deuce's presence.

And you learn quickly that they miss yours as well! Both for varying reasons, of course, but it quickly returns to that familiar state before Riddle's breakdown. One where you couldn't shake them even if you tried.

Cater comes by a lot more now too. At first he used to make up an excuse to stop by -then crash- but he gave up on that excuse rather quickly. He definitely sleeps in his dorm uniform half the time.

^Or at least, whatever he is wearing. Definitely the type to sleep in jeans whenever he's feeling too tired to get pajamas on

Trey visits with food (and Riddle, occasionally. He's still a little embarrassed about the whole rampage overblot thing) but doesn't find himself joining in the sleepover often.

When he does though he always makes everyone clean up their messes. What a king.

Jack is the next to join your merry band.

He doesn't often spend the night -only coming over when needed- and he's usually gone before you wake up.

He might be your favorite tbh.

(Around this time you also start to get the occasional visit from the tweels and Kalim. They never stay, but both parties are far too nosey to ignore such a large gathering)

It stays this way for a while whilst you attempt to sort out the whole issue with Leona.

Riddle only starts joining the crew after the whole savanaclaw incident.

This is mostly because his shame has kinda melted away since he's no longer the only one who has lost control. Also because Leona has no shame and immediately claims your couch afterwards. Rip.

From here it really just spirals.

The most common visitors are usually the first years.

Epel comes to escape Vil, Deuce and Ace have just decided your dorm is their home, and Jack tends to show up out of fear someone is going to do something stupid. He's usually right.

(Sebek is the odd man out here. He'll come over during the day but he's got a stick up his ass most the time.)

Rook and Vil do not sleep over. However, Rook will usually join in the morning to get (you) ready. Probably video chats with Vil the whole time. Epel is in hell.

Idia doesn't come over ever but Ortho does on occasion. You'd think people would be calmer with the android child around but for some reason that just creates more chaos.

Lilia has a habit of just sleeping places and it scares nearly everyone. Malleus finds it funny.

Crowley occasionally shows up to look for people because your dorm has become the Lost and Found for students.

Azul never comes into your room and has only stayed the the night maybe once or twice. Never at the same time as Leona though and he's usually incredibly nervous.

The tweels will come into your room and they will go through your stuff. They have no care whatsoever.

Everyone else is fairly respectful. But Pomefiore and Diasomnia are full of judgy brats that will subtly question your home. Thankv goodness most of them are not everyday visitors.

Jamil and Deuce seem like the type that will just start cleaning absentmindedly when they start to recognize some place as one they like to be in. Which you are incredibly thankful for. Deuce especially since he was not helpful at first.

Kalim always likes to try and make every night less of a sleep over and more of a slumber party. This is never good.

^ Reasons why: 1) Ruggie has been banned from playing Simon says because everytime he is Simon he makes people copy him, so that they lose. 2) Sebek always throws a hissy fit at the commotion whilst his emo dorm stands in the corner watching the chaos 3) Floyd has bitten someone during twister 4) MC has broken down crying at midnight multiple times because they just want to sleep and now the music club is doing karaoke.

But when everyone leaves for vacation, admittedly you do miss the chaos.

Oh well just gives Grim more room to bug you

HEAR ME OUT!! Leona, Jamil, Floyd, Kalim, and Duece with an s/o who has crippling anxiety, depression, and ADD but is the therapist friend.

They don't seem like it most of the time because they're emotionally detached, but still an empath.

Everytime there's an overblot, they sip Arizona tea like "Same shit, different day." And treat it like common shit because back in their world, their whole family was mentally ill, along with the friends around them who put their lives in s/o's hands.

Often seen dealing with other people's emotions and giving advice they don't even follow themselves. It's good advice too!!

S/o listens and sleeps to loud music at high volumes very often, (almost every second of the day and night) and eats and sleeps a lot to destress.

The resting bitch face is constant. They seem so annoyed by life, and they are. They just don't tell anyone that.

Low self-esteem but they talk about themselves highly to try and get rid of or hide it. More self loathing than not though.

They have many moments where they don't wanna listen to people but they end up listening to people anyway.

S/o also sucks ass at self care, but tells everyone to self care.

Ooh, Therapist Friend MC who needs therapy themself...sounds interesting. Now, I feel for anybody who goes through this - it is not a healthy place to be at all. Try to focus on yourself at least a little!

You are absolutely right.

I'm going to theory/analysis-dump here rn and I'm Sorry™ but I want your opinion sobs

Outside of fans (because honestly, any fan should at least roast their faves once) I feel like because Azul's plot delivery was made so it would take a more emotionally vulnerable turn (bullying, self-image issues) and the players would sympathize with his situation.

We haven't seen enough of Malleus yet, but I feel like they tried to do it like Azul's (not being invited, the tamagotchi scenario) and has mellowed their image.

Meanwhile, Vil's and Leona's situation are similar in between them but completely different from the other two.

Both of them have self image issues that steems not from their physical appearance (unlike what began Azul's self image issues, that he was chubby and then evolved) but more of feelings of worthlessness and not being enough (Leona's second prince situation & Vil's situation with Neige). They both had been made sure they would never be like those they compare, but the delivery of that has been completely different. Vil and Leona refuse to become vulnerable to the general public because they are proud and even more, their image cannot allow it! Leona and Vil are public figures that can't be vulnerable without their image being threatened (Malleus is also a public figure, but he doesn't have too much weigh on the plot, but he's in fact a position above Leona, with makes his inferiority complex, well, even more complex).

(This situation also works with Azul's fake confidence, but as I said, we could see Azul become very vulnerable pre, during and post overblot).

In fact, it's as if both of them don't want to appear vulnerable in any situation (with, for example, the haughtyness that is so common with them) so they don't really appeal to everyone, because everyone is seeing what both want to show.

I was not even invested on them before, but I think players give Vil's and Leona's characterization little credit ಥ‿ಥ

I like the way you explained it! The writing makes Azul and Malleus more vulnerable whereas Leona and Vil try not to be.

It's not to say that the former two don't try to keep up appearances. Azul very much built his image in such a way that he doesn't want to be stepped on again. He worked hard to improve himself and to never go back to that vulnerable self he once was. Malleus meanwhile is a crown prince. Dignity and poise are what he needs in his position. His position as one of the 5 strongest mages in the world make him all the more intimidating. But the way those two people are written, you get to see their vulnerabilities, even if they try to hide them. You can see their hurt (Azul with his tears, Malleus with his lamenting comments).

Like you said, Leona and Vil are hurt, but they don't show it. At least, not in the way Azul and Malleus do. If they do show their hurt, it's a little quieter, often in the form of mutterings or in grumbles. It's not as blatant. It's definitely not a bad thing at all because people do express their hurt similarly to how they do it. It just doesn't tug the heartstrings in the way that Azul, Malleus, and even Riddle do. But it doesn't invalidate their experiences.

Regardless of relatability, it doesn't justify the character hate nor does it justify allowing them to be insulted. In some ways, the way people talk about Leona and Vil makes you wonder what is society's view on people like them, people who aren't so willing to show their hurt in such vulnerable ways either because they struggle to or their circumstances don't allow it.

Can't Sleep

Word count: 1258

Kalim can't sleep. He's been tossing and turning all night but no matter how comfortable he gets he just can't sleep. Now in hindsight he really should be sleeping right now as he needs all the energy that he can get for VDC practice tomorrow, but sleep just eludes him.

But he knows why he can't sleep. In Fact it's been a problem ever since Jamil’s overblot. With learning about how Jamil truly felt, learning that the one person he trusted for years and thought that they were friends, all came crashing down in one night. Then after everything they just ignore it and go back to normal. Well at least that's what it looks like.

Kalim has been trying to take steps to make things easier for Jamil. Like setting up alarms to get up early to get ready, or like when he tried cooking for himself, which ended with him being banned from the kitchen. But hey at least he tried, who knew making makhlama was so hard.

But the main problem is that neither Kalim or Jamil have talked about that night at all. Even if they were to talk, what would they say? It's not like they can just magically make things better. Kalim can't just go ask his father to release Jamil of his duties. If he did his father would assume that Jamil wasn't doing his job and could possibly kill him. Kalim can't bear to have that happen. He cares about Jamil so much he can't just throw him to the wolves like that. These aren't the reasons that he can't sleep though.

The reason he can't sleep is because of the nightmares he's been having almost every night since then. Some of them are just a repeat of that night but others…the others are worse in his opinion. They can range from Jamil simply completely losing himself to overblot, to Jamil just dying in horrible ways. So every night when Kalim goes to bed now he is terrified of what he'll end up seeing.

Kalim turns to look at the other side of the room he and Jamil are sharing for their time here in Ramshackle, to see Jamil asleep completely oblivious to everything that's going on in Kalim’s mind. Kalim takes a deep breath and tries to relax and remember that ‘Jamil is right there. He's asleep. He's just fine. You're fine. You're both safe and nothing is going to happen.’

But that doesn't stop the onslaught of intrusive thoughts swarming his mind saying things like. ‘what if he's actually dead right now and we're just imagining he's alive’

‘He could die tomorrow during an accident or possibly poison that was really meant for you.’

‘or maybe he'll overblot again and-’

“Kalim?”

Kalim snaps his head in the direction of the voice to see a groggy Jamil sitting up rubbing the sleep from his eyes. “Why aren't you asleep? We need our rest or else we'll be dead on our feet during practice.” Kalim winces when at those last few words and tries to formulate an excuse.

Jamil pauses and tilts his head, his loose hair falling from his shoulder down to his back. Kalim always liked Jamil's hair. He always wanted to braid it but never asked, seeing it as rude. “Are you crying?” Kalim’s brain stops dead in its tracks ‘he’s crying?’. He brings his hand to his face to find that yes he is crying. He whips at the tears and simply tries to shrug it off. “Oh it's nothing, just some dust you know?”

Jamil gives him his ‘nice try look’. He flicks on the lamp on the nightstand and crosses his arms. “Really because judging from how puffy your face is it seems like you've been crying for a while. What? You miss your bed that much?”

Kalim shakes his head “no no not at all this is just fine I'm just having trouble sleeping is all.” Jamil chuckles “you're having that much trouble sleeping it made you cry? What could possibly be the issue to make it so hard?”

Kalim brings his knees to his chest, hiding his face within. “Nightmares…” Jamil raises a brow leaning forward a smidge. “What? Say that again please you know I can't understand when you mumble.” Kalim, tired and slightly frustrated, lifted his head. “I'm having nightmares about you ok?! Is that what you want to hear?!”

Jamil flinches in shock not expecting the white haired boy to respond like that. Kalim realizing what he did brings his knees closer and lowers his head “I'm sorry I shouldn't have raised my voice. I'm just so tired and that's no excuse to take that out on you.” Jamil is slightly shocked by the apology but quickly recovers and instead focuses on what Kalim said. “Nightmares about me?”

Kalim nods and lowers his head back into his knees. He hears shuffling and feels the bed dip down beside him. Jamil's voice comes out surprisingly soft. “Are they about my overblot?”. Kalim nods “and then some.” Jamil hums and turns away slightly “like what exactly?”

Kalim curls up tighter as if he could some more. “Like one time you died of poison meant for me, there was one where an assassin stabbed you. A-and the one w-where I found you with your neck snapped f-from a suicide a-attempt.” Kalim's voice grew Shaky as tears started pouring out his eyes. Jamil watches on as Kalim, sweet and innocent Kalim proceeds to explain some pretty graphic scenarios that he has been dealing with for a while now. All because of him.

Jamil sighs and brings Kalim into a half hug. “Hey. I'm right here and I'm not planning on going anywhere just yet. I'm not going to die. Everything is going to be alright.” Kalim untangles himself and hugs Jamil fully while trying not to get tears all over him. Jamil hesitates but returns Kalim's hug.

After a few minutes of crying Kalim pulls away and wipes his tears away. “Sorry about that, I've just been stressed and it all came crashing down.” Jamil places his hand on Kalim's shoulder. “No, I get it. If I had those kinds of nightmares I think I would be a wreck too.”

Kalim giggles at that and gives him a small smile. “And if you did, you could always come to me. That is! If you want to of course I'm not forcing you to come to me at all in fact you don't have to tell me anything you don't want to-” Jamil puts his other hand over Kalim’s mouth. “Ok! That's enough! I get it, Kalim! Jeez now that you're done do you think you can go to bed now it's almost 3 am.” Kalim looks down, obviously nervous to try and sleep again. Jamil sighs and pushes Kalim down. “Jamil what are you-?” Jamil pulls the covers up and lays down on the other side. “Stay on your side. Now go to sleep.”

Kalim smiles and snuggles into his pillow “ok Jamil. We're going to talk about this eventually right?”

“Eventually just not now. Now please for the love of the seven! Go. To. Bed!”

“Ok ok I'm sleeping!” Kalim turns onto his side away from Jamil. He yawns exhausted from crying and pouring out his troubles onto Jamil. His eyes grow heavy and close but just before he falls asleep he mutters. “ Thank you Jamil. Good night.” He's out before he could hear Jamil's tired response. “Yeah whatever. Your welcome….. Good night.”

I would like to see a part two for jamil wings like the teachers and his friends find out about his clipped wings and start to riot I want kinda revenge he deserves the best but at least take legal action against the people who did it

I've been thinking hard about this and I can write some general headcanons, however in terms of Jamil and his character, I don't think this is something that would ever happen for a LOT of reasons

the way people found out about Jamil's clipped wings was through his overblot

He couldn't fly - not like everyone else - and he was screaming in agony when he saw Kalim take flight

Its after he recovers that people start to question it and take it seriously

the thing is, it's really hard to figure out who to blame and what to do

The most they can offer is artificial wings to Jamil, but he doesn't want them. He keeps insisting he doesn't want to fly, even now.

It's generally considered abhorrent what was done, but even then, there's not much anyone can do

Jamil has begged them not to do anything, anyway. His family serves Kalim's, if they throw a fit or find out Jamil got caught, they can fire them. Or worse, they can throw money to cover it up

And it's not like they can blame Kalim either, since he didn't even know. He genuinely though Jamil just preferred to walk

Now, as for people's reactions, it varies

Kalim is heartbroken. He genuinely didn't know and he genuinely wants to fix it. He doesn't know how, but he will, because he wants Jamil to feel equal to him.

The staff already knew, and already had plans in place to keep this covered. It doesn't help that they can't stop all of Scarabia (and the three terrors of the deep) from knowing, but they can keep them quiet.

The teachers aren't good at this though, and word spreads

The other dorm leaders are sympathetic. Riddle especially, which leads him to go out of his way to spend more time around Jamil. He wings may not have been clipped, but he is nearly as flightless as him, and he can commiserate of feeling tied by his family.

Leona doesn't care, overall. He cares about the affront (he couldn't imagine something like losing his ears or his tail) but as far as he's concerned, this happened a long time ago, and if Jamil doesn't wanna throw a fuss, he won't either. He might send someone over to help out from time to time though (Ruggie)

The Octatrio also can't really fathom it. They were there during the cataclysm, and they know the anger and anguish, but they can't quite relate. Instead, Azul and Jade spend a while pouring over books to see if there might be a way to fix it, and Floyd spends a lot of time hanging out with Kalim so Jamil has some time to himself (...for better or for worse)

Pomefiore minds their business....mostly. Rook can't help but find this fascinating in a way, and spends a lot of time asking insanely personal and very annoying questions.

Idia and Ortho hear about it, but they don't approach. Idia does, however, quietly begin learning more. They realize that Jamil's feathers aren't clipped, but rather the tendons that allow for heavy weight to be supported have been clipped. Idia begins to figure out new ways to fix this issue.

Malleus and Lilia have seen this before. There is very little that can be done to fix clipped wings, but regardless they do their best to be supportive. They are, however, completely enraged at the news and have to be stopped from going to the Asim estate to have a chat with the family

Overall this entire scenario just puts more stress on Jamil's plate due to now having to comfort everyone around him and to keep Kalim's reputation intact.

I imagined that they had a professional coworker relationship. I can see Katakuri!Leech was hired by Ashengrotto family to watch over the Ningguang!Grotto currently despite the fact that they go to different school, but it slowly grows from coworker relationship to an actual friendship.

Ningguang!Ashengrotto: So, how have you been? It has been awhile since we formally discussed things. *sipping their teacup*

Katakuri!Leech: *pouring himself a cup of tea* I am well enough, but I should be asking you that question. Anything came up on the other side?

Ningguang!Ashengrotto: *sets the cup down* No, everything is running smoothly despite my brother's attempts to ruin it.

Katakuri!Leech: *adding sugar cubes to his cup* I apologize if my siblings have gotten involved with it as well.

Ningguang!Ashengrotto: I do not blame you, but I am more disappointed in my brother's actions.

Katakuri!Leech visited Ningguang!Ashengrotto during winter break for two days before heading back to NRC. The two talked about business related issues over tea and food before talking about more personal issues such as Azul's attempts to call Ningguang!Ashengrotto to fix their relationship.

Katakuri!Leech: *notices the phone ringing again before muching on his donut* He's calling you again.

Ningguang!Ashengrotto: And, should I make contact? No, he wanted me out of his life for being too kindhearted. *narrowing their eyes* He can't suddenly popped back into my life like how that man tried to.

Katakuri!Leech: I'm not forcing you to give him a chance. He made his decisions all on his own, but don't let the stress bother you.

Ningguang!Ashengrotto: I won't, but thank you for the advice.

hehe the parallels between the leech and ashengrotto siblings!!

ugh i can just imagine how katakuri!leech and ningguang!ashengrotto get along really well. like it's a mutual respect relationship. meanwhile, at least to everyone else, azul and the twins have a weird antagonistic relationship.

I was thinking about my Yuu and I came to thinking, that it would be cute and funny if our Yuu really was a pshyologist.(joke gone too far)

A little thing to imagen. (To make it clear my favourite Riddle after him goes everyone else ,sorry guys ,no offense)(And yeah grammar mistakes poor imagination, i don't know how to use Tumblr and etc.).

So imagine how it would be cute when Riddle have some kind of problem, or can't really described what he is feeling.Like let's imagine he had a fight with Trey of Cater. He goes to Ramshackle. Yuu welcoming them, pouring tea while Riddle tells all pre history to Yuu, while Yuu just doing their stuff(like cooking or reading a book or drawing), listening all like it's nothing. And after Riddle finished with his problem Yuu like:" I understand how you feel and it's absolutely normal, but i think you need to find compromise, it's better if both of you need understand that you have needs and boundaries, so the best solution is to find the perfect middle so everyone would be happy, or try to give up on some of principles. If he sees you trying to solve this issue he will see that you care and he would feel pleased". Riddle:"Oh Yuu-san, it's good advice, thank you very much"- and he runs away. Yuu:"Well at least he happy."

Another day Azul got irritated because of some kind of problems with stress. And Azul coming to Yuu. Yuu again listen to everything and then like :"You know you might need break from contacts. I know that most of problems solved with money but having someone to have near you and have fun time with them or maybe try some new hobbies." (Sorry its lame but what can I say).

And about Vil when he didn't get role, he also came to Yuu and tells about this, and Yuu:"Sorry but maybe there might be way to convince producer to give you role that you wanted. Btw Vil-san I think you pretty amazing you did such an amazing job. I think you should stop and appreciate all your work. And you have fans that sees you as number one. It doesn't matter how many people see you like this, they do and it already a big fact that you amazing".

Imagine Jamil doesn't get it why Kalim stopped to came to him for help in any way and he tells his suspicions to Yuu, while they are like:"Maybe he is trying to give you more freedom, I know you might not be used to this but slowly you can understand what to do. In chapter 3, I wonder how the Disney princesses would agree in the deal of the ramshackle dorm since there are more members than just yuu and Grimm. I can figure they feel bad for Ace, Deuce, Grimm, and on the others on the deal that they have to help. Also there's also the issue on where they are staying like it is not like everyone will go to savanaclaw unless the princesses split to other dorms but Octavinelle like Alice in Heartslabyul. It will be hilarious to think of this scenario...

Floyd: No fair, why does little mermaid get to be around Sea Lion instead of me around?

Ariel: I am mad on what you guys did to this poor students. All of them don't deserve this fate.

Azul: Then they should have know when reading the fine print.

Obvious Ariel is the main POV but I also figure Tiana as the second since she has to do with Dr. Facilier and deals which makes Azul have this kind of romantic tension. I figure Ariel might recognize her father in the museum and made her questioned herself about the world.

And after overblot battle, Ariel and Tiana will feel bad of Azul about how he used to be when he was young which made them try to help him be a better person.

My first thought is maybe the dorm doesn't get put up as collateral, at least not right away.

The book starts as it originally does. It's final exams, Grim, Ace, and Deuce seem very confident in how they did. Now where it diverges is, maybe Crowley uses his "It's so expensive to take care of the dorm" thing to get Elsa and Tiana to hep him with something minor since theyre the dorm heads, Ariel over hears it all. It's no secret that Ariel is an excellent singer, so not long after that, Jade and Floyd approach her and say she would perfect for a job. Ariel, seeing this as a chance to contribute financially to Ramshackle, goes with them to Octavinelle. Where Azul cuts her a deal: If Ariel agrees to be Mostro Lounges lounge singer, she will be payed very well, but she cannot sing anywhere else. Mostro has exclusive rights to her singing until she graduates. Ariel, not wanting Tiana, Elsa, or anyone else to stress about necessities like food expenses, signs the contract.

Afterwards, The test results come out, we find out about anemone thing, and once again Crowley shows up and wants Tiana to try and fix this, since in his mind, they're both business minded, maybe they can strike a deal. When Crowley brings up the food expenses, Ariel pipes up that that the headmage would not need to worry, and after Crowley asks what she means by that, her only reply is that she got a job to help out, so Crowley can't use their food expenses over them anymore. After Crowley leaves, Tiana looks at her and goes, "Ariel, what sort of job did you take?"

After a thorough scolding from Tiana, and now that Crowley has to go back to the drawing board, That's when all the other girls realize Ariel hasn't been singing anymore and the true gravity of what being the lounge singer entails. Cut to after the whole ordeal after the test results comes in and we see the contracts can't be broken, after Jack and Tiana leave, Ariel is furious at Azul for doing all this, to which Azul reminds her that she doesn't have to like it, because she can't leave anyway. If Ariel quits, her voice in it's entirety is forfeit.

Ariel tearfully tells the others everything. That she just wanted to help, She swore she didn't know about the study guide plan, and how miserable she is now that she's signed over her voice. Everyone agrees that they have to do something not only for Ariel, but for Grim and the others, no matter the cost. Tiana and Elsa as the prefects of Ramshackle, along with Jack and Mulan for backup in case, go to Mostro Lounge to see what can be done.

That's when Azul strikes the one time offer: He will release the students and Ariel from their contracts if they can get the picture at the museum, with Ramshackle dorm as collateral. This is a one time deal, it's now or never, and not knowing what else to do, Tiana and Elsa make the deal, with the caveat that the others get to stay in Ramshackle for the three days, and they will go.

Everyone is obviously upset at this turn of events when they return to the dorm. Not knowing what else to do, Jack offer for Tiana, Ariel, and Elsa to stay at Savannaclaw.

Ariel feels so guilty and used this whole time, she feels like this is all her fault even though she was trying to help, to which Leona says that there's no sense in feeling sorry for herself and all about how she's going to fix it.

When Ariel isn't at work, she goes with Tiana and Jack to the sea, while Elsa stays behind to make sure the others are ok and sorting out where they'll go if the worse comes. They obviously have trouble because of the tweels interference, and pretty much everything plays out in the book more or less. They get Leona to help break the contracts once they figure it out, and Ariel, being an actual mermaid (In this au she's learned she gets her tail back when submerged in water like the tweels can) and has evaded plenty of dangerous creatures back home, is able to sneak into t he museum, snag the photo, and get out. All the while Leona is watching Azul have a breakdown after his contracts get dusted.

Tiana and Ariel get back to Octavinelle in time for the Overblot. They deal with it, they learn Azuls backstory and do feel bad for him, and the book wraps up with them returning the picture to the museum, to which Ariel is very confused at all the stuff about her family in there, but maybe keeps it to herself for a dramatic reveal later. Maybe Ariel continues to sing a Mostro, but as a regular employee, with no one but herself having rights to her voice.

idk if you saw twst chapter 6, how do you feel about it?

This is embarrassing to admit but... I might've actually sobbed. I said Idia is similar to me and has similar issues, and I meant it, but I didn't think it would be this similar in many ways. No I will not go into detail as to why, again, for personal reasons. And you have to understand, I hate crying so I try to limit it to like once a year. I can't believe I wasted this year's cry pass on a loser shut-in (I mean that endearingly). The whole memory part felt like a callout directed at me, if that makes sense. Yeah, I know that sounds a little pathetic, but I don't really care. I have a lot of thoughts, lots of opinions. Spoilers ahead, click off now if you don't want to see that.

Okay, so I'll start with things at the end because I don't remember everything in the beginning. This is Idia and Ortho time first though.

I love how Ortho is now his own individual self, a student, instead of just being "Idia's little brother." No, now Ortho is in his own grade, he has his own likes and hobbies, I love that for him.

Also, I know I've heard people say they don't forgive/excuse Idia and Ortho. But if you notice, Idia clearly doesn't forgive himself or give any excuses. He knows he should have had consequences for his actions (in the end the consequences didn't seem as harsh as they probably should've been) he was realistic about not returning to school when everyone is like "okay, I'm going home, see you later in class, Idia" and he's just "??????" Although, I'm kinda happy that Idia and Ortho decided to take things to the extreme during their overblot. It makes things interesting.

I was living for Ortho and Idia interactions, especially towards the end. Red fire Idia? Please. Please, I loved seeing it. I actually watched Hercules in Japanese because the movie gives me serotonin just because of Hades, but I sat down and watched the movie carefully with a friend through discord. We were judging the voices and dialogue and everything, and I predicted like at least five things that happened just by dialogue alone. So when I saw those dialogue bits in the actual chapter? I freaked out.

Okay, so now leaning towards the others. The growth and relationships depicted between the characters like Leona and Jamil; Azul and Riddle; and Vil, Rook, and Epel, were very nice to see. I'm glad we got to see that, and it wasn't just Pomefiore. It was nice seeing Jamil realize his issues and everything thanks to Leona, it was amusing seeing Riddle and Azul have conflict but come together in the end as they were polar opposites but still worked well together, and it was interesting to hear how Vil and Rook met. Rook was a Savanaclaw student? I was reeling. I wonder if Leona approached Crowley and just went "I want this blondie out of my dorm." Probably not, but it's fun to imagine. Finally, the scene where they all reunite at the very end with their friends? Very sweet. My favorite was probably Ace and Deuce with MC and Grim.

Now let's be honest, Idia and Ortho were much worse than the others. Riddle nearly choked people during his overblot, Leona almost turned Ruggie to sand and was going to hurt other students, Azul stole powers from people around him, Jamil was willing to hurt Kalim and friends just to take control of a dorm, Vil wanted to kill Neige and possibly his own team (MC and others). Idia and Ortho saw all that and went "hold my energy drink." They cranked up the seriousness by wanting to destroy the world. What next? We still have Malleus left, can you imagine what he's going to do?

Speaking of Malleus, all that stuff at the end with him was concerning. He's obviously feeling distraught. Lilia mentioned not having much time left, we saw Vil as old, Malleus seems to be distraught at the idea that soon everyone he knows will be gone including the only loved ones he's ever known (Lilia, Silver, Sebek, maybe others). His overblot will probably have something to do with that. Although it would be a little funny if his mentality as a dragon fae wanting to hoard went "what if I put everyone under an eternal sleeping spell so no one can leave me or die, and then I keep them."

Anyways, I probably have more thoughts and stuff but there was just so much that happened this chapter. If you want to hear my opinion on a specific part I missed, let me know.

personality: angel is.. a very interesting person. they became a dorm leader right when they started attending rsa, but after a few months passed, they had to leave the school and go back to their homeland for some time. but now they're back and they're ready to rule merveishire and be the best leader that the students could imagine! they're very sociable, talkative and supportive, people never see angel without a smile on their face. in fact, they are so kind that most students call them by their nickname, "angel", rather than by their actual name. angel is very chaotic, loud and cheerful, you will never get bored with them. however, there is also a secret side to them: angel really is a very supportive person who tries their best to help others, but they tend to use.. not the best methods to help those people. sometimes angel actually manages to make those people's situations worse. do they really have bad intentions or are they just bad at helping people? nobody knows. but angel will use any methods to achieve their goals and to help their dorm members. this is why angel's dorm doesn't have any rules, they want the dorm members to feel free and do whatever they want to do.

notable relationships:

angel and bunny were close friends since childhood and when angel had to leave rsa for some time, they made bunny a temporary dorm leader, which was to be expected, because bunny is merveishire vice dorm leader. angel likes bunny a lot and trusts her. however, angel is aware that bunny isn't this shy and polite girl that she pretends to be and they try to help bunny with her issues. it.. doesn't really go as planned, because angel is the reason why bunny is having all those problems in the first place. bunny does treasure her friendship with angel, but she really wants to let it go and forget about it, because she's too tired of angel's strange antics.

hayden was another childhood friend of angel's and he also was friends with bunny. angel liked hayden a lot and they really wanted to help him, they knew about his family and everything that he's going through on a daily basis, so they tried to be one of the few good things he had in his life. they always tried to make him laugh with their jokes, they baked cookies for him and that horse plushie that was so precious to him was a gift from them. however, angel also encouraged hayden's god complex, they said that he's better than all of his family members and he should be proud of it. hayden also learned some manipulation techniques not only from his family, but also from angel. and hayden was the first person to give them this nickname.

angel and chenya are pretty close, they love to tease each other all the time and they love to act surprised when they totally expected the other to prank or scare them. chenya missed angel while they were gone and it's also possible that he's the only student who knows why they had to leave.

angel really wants to be friends with riddle, meanwhile the red-haired boy tries to avoid them as much as he can. he's terrified of angel and finds them way too irresponsible and noisy. he can't understand their logic and way of thinking at all, but he wasn't surprised when he found out that angel and chenya get along really well. riddle does respect angel for being a dorm leader though, especially at a school like rsa. some people think he actually wants to be friends with angel, because he was very worried when he heard that angel left rsa for a long time.

angel is very supportive of allen and encourages his "yandere" behavior, saying that it's normal to get way too obsessed with someone you love. they also read his fanfiction and love it, they even mentioned that they know a person who's a big fan of allen's work (and it's not just them!). angel often worried about allen's health and always asks if he's cold or if he needs something warm. when allen asked why they care about him so much, they smiled and said that they knew a very sick person in the past and they couldn't help them, so they don't want to make the same mistake again.

angel wants to become closer with jay and keeps following him around, finding him to be a very interesting individual. jay prefers to avoid angel, like riddle, because he has one weird friend and he's fine with that, he doesn't need another one. jay also has a feeling that angel is trying to become friends with him only because they need a favor from him..

angel has a cat and her name is dia, she's a reference to alice's cat dinah.

hayden had a crush on angel when he was little and he was SO SOFT for them, he claims that he's over it now and he just thinks of them as a friend.. but does he?

angel's parents are casino owners, so angel knows a lot about all kinds of card games and they can play some too, but they instead prefer to either be the dealer or watch people play.

angel's older sister is based on alice's older sister from the book and the cartoon.

angel's voice can change easily, it can either sound soft and feminine or deep and masculine. they also change their pronouns all the time, going from "watashi" to "boku" to "ore", etc.

You get a way to work out all that tension and he gets to work out another kind of tension that's been building since he first saw you taking down those idiots with nothing more than a look.

He eventually decides to simply walk up beside you and wrap an arm around your waist

"Are you all just going to stand there like idiots. Or are you waiting for her to fully castrate you all... Well?"

At that the over aggressive fools scamper off and you two are left alone

The feeling of his breath on your neck as he growls out his thoughts at seeing your little display let's you know exactly where you're headed when he does toss you over his shoulder

His first thought was "holy shit, remind me to never piss her off"

Azul's second thought is "wow that's a surprising amount of damage to the lounge"

He knew you were usually very calm so whatever happened must have been huge for you to even think about causing such destruction

Ever the calm and collected young man, Azul approaches where you stand arm caught in jade's grasp from where you back handed the unfortunate customer

Who is splayed across the ground amongst the now broken table

He will whisk you away and have Jade ask for the story from each of the people involved and depending on who's most at fault...

Someone will be escorted away by Floyd for some fun

Azul would guide you away from the chaos and clean up efforts to have a chat with you in his office

"Y/N, Doll. Why in heaven's name did you do that"

"He just wouldn't shut up about how you're a terrible person. That you're ugly and I should just end things with you. And I couldn't take it anymore!"

Is he happy that you felt strongly enough about him that you'd smack the dude so hard he broke the table from how hard he fell?

A little yes.

It validates him.

But also Bad Y/N don't assault his customers, he quite likes having those.

Is he now thinking about how to profit the most out of this situation? Absolutely

Now he has dirt on the offender and direct witnesses we all know jade is always watching

So in an effort to help you calm down you get to plot that person's social demise with Azul!

Isn't that nice of him to do, he is afterall so very generous

So perhaps you could convince him of an appropriate punishment

Thinks you look more than a little scary for a moment

Gets a little bit of a flashback to Jamil's overblot

But he snaps out of that quickly, even though he stays a bit panicked

Will run to your side as soon as he sees you're upset

Does he have any clue why you're so mad? Nope

Does he care about that? Not at all

What matters to him is that you, his sweet girlfriend are okay

So don't be surprised if he squeezes you against his chest

He always finds listening to your heartbeat calming so he's hoping it does the same thing for you

Kalim thinks that your wellbeing is far more important that dealing with the butter knife that had been stabbed into the table right beside someone's hand

It was a clear threat to the other student, yes

But Kalim really doesn't care to deal with that while you're still looking like you'd run the person over with an entire 100 elephant parade

He'll probably take you on a carpet ride so you can relax away from any stresses

He can replace the table but he can’t replace you if you go to jail for manslaughter

So just relax with Kalim up in the sky and let him deal with it okay?

He's there for you, so no need to start throwing pointy things at people when they make you mad.

The most effective punishment is always Kalim looking at you all disappointed and sad

Could make anyone feel guilty enough to repent

Kalim wants you to feel as free as a bird when you're around him, so despite the tears in his eyes as you tell him all of your struggles and frustrations

Know you will never have to shoulder those feelings alone as long as Kalim is in your life

He will do his best to soothe you and ensure they all disappear from your mind

As Vil looks at the prone form of the guy who had been following him around for the past 15 minutes there's only one word to describe him

There is only so many trolls and noobs that a person can take before losing it

So when you finally go off on that annoying misogynistic asshole that's been taunting you for an hour he finds himself flushing from just how hot it is

You verbally rip that guy to bits

Hair a little messy from how the headphones are sitting on your head

With the screen lighting your profile just right to make it look like you're glowing

And to top it off the way you're crushing that can in your hand as if it were no more than a piece of paper

It fills his mind full of all sorts of naughty images involving your hands

At the same time he's always a little nervous around you, he doesn't really do people and the fact he likes you makes those issues speaking worse

So seeing you rip that guy to shreds over vc makes him shake a little

He'd clam up and just continue playing with you

After a few rounds of the game later, vc off this time he'd broach the subject

"So...is that, uh, normal for you? To ya know, lose it like that. Because I-I think...you broke the controller Y/N."

When he finds out that all that oppressive homicidal rage was normal

Whooo boy have you given him some new nightmares

And also fantasies

Because you can't fault him for having naughty thoughts about how sexy you would be stepping on him

However should the reason be grievous enough to elicit a reaction from him, fear not for he will gladly get rid of whatever it is that has been angering you

Malleus doesn't know if its normal for humans to throw multiple knives at their hellfire cat for stealing a sandwich

But then again he doesn't actually live with Grim so, he'll withhold judgement

The change from your usual calm, pleasant self into this raging beast is quite amusing to him

In fact he is imagining smoke pouring from your mouth much like it does his own when he gets irritated

Malleus actually thinks its fitting, a significant other with a temper as fiery as his own draconic breath

You two match in a way

He's not particularly worried about your rage being directed towards him.

Nor is he too inclined to stop you from expressing yourself

Afterall Lilia drilled into him in his infancy that its unhealthy for one to bottle up extreme emotions

Work through what you're feeling, yes, but never repress them

So he will just sit and wait for you to finish

He has the time

And when you're done, he'll ask if you'd like to take a walk with him

Once you explain he'll chuckle and place a tender kiss to your forehead.

The moment when the MC is offered the choice to refuse or agree to provide Onboro as a training camp in exchange for money if they win.

MC thinks-mgh..

Everyone flinches because of the rapid stomping of feet in the corridor.

Azul abruptly opening the door - good afternoon!! I heard you need a place for a training camp and my dorm is just right for all parameters!!

Jamil in quiet horror and irritation - how the hell did you even hear about it ...

Vil irritated - Azul... The director and I have already made a decision..

The pomfiore students who ran after Azul

Vil gracefully waving his hand - just don't make any more noise ..

Theory — Malleus Overblot and Lilia's Participation

As I said earlier on the first part of the theory, Lilia's concern for Malleus is the same as a father for a son, since he raised the Prince and has been by his side his entire life —Malleus himself has said that Lilia is family, plus they both raised little Silver and, later, Sebek was left under Lilia's care.

Now, the point of this is to explain some facts I've noticed on the opening and some influence the ancient fae may have at the very end of this adventure.

We can split two points from here:

He find out something about his family which Lilia was aware of, but never told him was it an order or for his own sake —in case he don't know or what he know is not the truth. Obviously, this will break the decades of trust he had over his guard and, additional to it, we won't be able to comfort him. Lilia has been present over Malleus' entire life, which means he knows —maybe better than anyone but Malleus' Grandmother 『who is, according to Malleus conversation with Sebek, the Witch of Thorns herself』¹— what happened to his parents or even if she had something to do with that. I bet she hadn't, but this game has brought us many unexpected turns and we are, actually, talking about a Twisted place where fairytales are not what we have already seen.

Malleus is hiding something from Lilia, not only because he's always chased because of his royal title and he don't like it, but the feeling of loneliness growing up because of MC. He might be confused about his feelings but he is a Prince, he is one of the most powerful mages on NRC and he is one of the greatest five in the world —he is aware of his image and he will repress his feeling to keep it like that.

The first one is not that probable, why? Malleus himself knows about his parents or at least that's what he had let us see. And he loves his grandmother so much as even he helped her back home with throne issues.

But the second is some different matter. He has always been lonely, hasn't he? They were only Mr. Vanrouge and him and not always since Lilia used to travel a lot alone and her grandmother, as a Queen, had too much to deal with. He knew nothing else than an almost empty castle, though his excuse is that he is "used to it". We can even see that's not true at all when Lilia talks with Deuce on his SR Halloween Card about how he played Trick or Treat with Silver when he was a toddler, the kid knocked at the door and Lilia pretend to be a different person every time until his bucket was full of sweets and Malleus asked if he really did that and why they never did it together? Of course, since he helped raising Silver too, he won't argue and it was just "a comment".

But we take another theory: something about Silver. We know he's the adoptive child of Lilia but how? Why? What happened? We could argue that Malleus might have lost control over some village on his dragon form, but Silver is a 17 year old man, and Lilia said Malleus learnt self-control long ago, some time after burning his bangs but what if this is not true? Maybe Malleus had an accident and Lilia was in charge of easing such memories but considering the youngest fae's power it's less probable. We don't know how Lilia got Silver but what if he just arrived to the castle with him? What if there's some hidden truth in there? A fact is that, as we see on the Wish Upon a Star event, Lilia has always wanted peace but he painfully states that there has always been war between fae and human kind, even though there's peace now, he said history is a cicle. Malleus is sort of fond of Silver too, his own way, but what happens if he discovers something?

Now, we have assured that this Overblot will be Malleus —yeah, at some point I thought it could be Lilia or Sebek too since Silver... Well, is Silver, he's such a pure creature. Buuut... why? Grimm's Overblot. He has many of the characteristic references to the past transformations and maybe the most remarkable is a pair of huge dragon wings. And we know Malleus is a dragon fae.

Now, the relevance of Lilia on this arc which was re original explanation. Not only because of his relationship with Malleus, independently from the already mentioned theories, but because he is mastered on every magic too.

That leads me to this part of the cinematic:

Lilia Vanrouge is not only an ancient and wise fae but a very powerful one too. He may be gentle, sort of spontaneous and mysterious, but when he get serious, he is a mage to fear.

He's chasing Malleus trough the forest once, here, he is on a triple formation with Sebek and Silver, two men he raised and trained on magic and combat. The attack Lilia releases is very powerful, why would he need such kind of magic on a school?

As I already said, I don't like making theories out of the opening since almost none of the scenes have had any coincidence but the possible context of the two cinematic is just exciting.

Think it this way: Lilia is the only character who has lived long enough to get to know Malleus as well as he knows himself, as well his magic level is the only one who can get near, even for a bit, to Malleus' and the most important thing, prince Draconia listen to him and Lilia knows how to calm him down and how to comfort him.

If there is only one person able to fight and defeat Malleus power, is him.

1 — On the dialogue between Sebek and Malleus, the first one praises the prince's habilites over the Witch of Thorns'. Malleus asks him to lower his praises since "She was more powerful than even any of the other Great Seven. My power can't even hold a candle against my grandmother's. She's so advanced so there's no point on comparing us when she's on a whole other level."
