what ever happened to diaries? why did everyone stop documenting their feelings? i personally think this is how everyone ended up repressing emotions and unable to process them. a diary really keeps me sane and has always been a key part of my healing process. i can write silly goofy things without feeling judged by anyone, and without having to explain it to anyone. i can keep a record of what's been going on and reflect on it later to see if anything has changed. and, every single time, something has changed. my perspective expands. my heart swells for what i felt in the past. it's like a love letter to myself. my dreams, my goals, my heartaches, my joys, it's all there in one place. highly recommend fr.

Digital detox diet: how to clean up photos
Im tidying up my phone today and had trouble figuring out what i need to keep and throw away, and where to even start. Its a mess! But i started anyway and my icloud can finally back up. Theres more i want to clean but i made a good start and set some simple parameters to help:
Delete:
✿ bad photos: photos taken badly, have higher standard for myself for photography and improving at it
✿ repeat photos: when you spam photograph and leave all 20 photos, just go through and pick the best 1
✿ photos that dont bring me joy: Any remaining that no longer bring me joy: friends im no longer close to, when i feel ready I can let it go
✿ screenshots: if its of something i can write down, write it down instead to save space, otherwise if its screenshots like receipts or temporary photos that served their purpose: delete
✿ internet photos: drawing references i no longer need (i can always look it up again), inspiration that ive outgrown
✿ personal work: keep the minimum documentation (at highest quality), delete process photos that served their purpose
Mindset:
✿ Be ready to confront yourself at various stages of your life while clearing digital clutter, meaning reflect on past experiences, "embarrassing" photos of an old you, appreciate your growth, keep what warms your heart, and let go what has served its purpose. Its all part of your journey.
✿ Don't hoard out of fear: hoarding is fear-based: "i need to keep all these 20 photos in case i lose one, what if i forget about this experience and never experience that joy again"= fear-based. Instead,
✿ collect and curate: what you want to remember and what is important to you in THIS MOMENT while appreciating in your heart the experiences that led up to it
✿ Digital clutter is still clutter like physical, we can just cram so much of it into a harddrive that it doesnt seem that way. But it still takes up mental space, so do your best to free up mental space by putting in the work to tidy up
Lastly so the effort doesnt go to waste:
✿ Back up phone to computer or harddrive (not cloud)
Thanks for reading ♡

I discovered Just kiss Already after you uploaded part 3 and I have a question. So Part 1 is 1 chapter, Part 2 is 2 chapters, Part 3 is 3 chapters. When you say your writing "the next fic" do you mean like ALL of Part 4, which you then break down into chapters before you upload them or do you upload chapters individually as you complete them?
The fics themselves aren't so much chapters as they are a serialized collection of fanfics that have an overarching plot.
The reason I'm writing "Just Kiss Already" as a series instead of a multi-chaptered fic is because each fic has its own little mini plot inside it. Each of them are a mini story that's gradually building up the larger story at play.
I'm also keeping it as a series because I go back and forth between POV's a lot. Hopping between POV's in a multi-chaptered fic can work, but I usually like keeping them contained to a single POV. It makes it easier on me and the reader, so I don't have to clarify which character we'll be following in each chapter.
It's a collection of stories that are all linked together, kind of like a TV show, but you can totally view them as parts too.
"De-Lovely" is part 1 , "Holy Suffering" is part 2, and "Damage Control," is part 3.
I've actually split up the entire plot of "Just Kiss Already" into three different arcs (or three seasons if the TV analogy helped), each with their own theme. But I shall not tell you what they are, because that would be spoilers 😈
Sometimes, I don't intend for the fic to be split into multiple chapters, but if it gets bigger than I expected, I break it up because it's easier on me when I get to the editing stage. Editing one large chapter is so much harder than editing a couple small ones 😅
I hope you're enjoying the series! I'm very excited to get into the juicer bits of the story 😏

I love writing NSFW au's for my ships and recently it has been Zoro/Sanji. And I tend to write most of it in 4am fueled inspiration burst egged on by other people chipping in. And it's now 2pm next day and I reading back on that stuff and thinking "huh. Real Zoro would probably fillet me like a fish for this before i could open my mouth."
