In the Bhagavad Gita, Krishna talks about working without the expectations to bear the fruit of the labor (Chapter 2, Verse 47). He says "do not allow rewards to be the motive for your actions. Don't be attached to laziness either.
You don't have to be Hindu or religious to implement this in your life. In the Gita, it is said that when you work without desire for the rewards, you are happy and completely detached. This verse encourages us to aim to be the best in all that we do without worry for the results.
Think about it this way, when you are worried about the results, is your focus really at a high? If you study with the worry for the grade rather than your understanding of the concept, are you likely to get the good grade? Regardless of whether or not you fail, you're gonna get back up and work either way the next day. Win or lose.
So as we go on our self improvement journey in 2024, try to implement this simple yet powerful thing. You'll be suprised just how much lighter and happier you'll feel within work, manifestation, school, etc. As an athlete, once I started playing my games without worry for the end result, I performed so so much better. Again, regardless of whether or not you win or lose, you're still gonna get back to improving yourself the next day. So take your mind off the thing you can't control, and focus on your own individual betterment through hard work. Lead with love, and let's have an amazing 2024!!

Like dude some people act like the only way to be healthy is to do crazy cardio. Like girl. No. Simply going for a short walk every day is not only gonna make your general mood a lot better but also it’s exercise! It’s your daily exercise checkpoint! It counts towards your working out points!
If you can’t swim, run. If you can’t run, jog. If you can’t jog, walk. Even the smallest amount of physical activity can be beneficial to you!
People who can’t walk I love you too and I am opening a window in your house during the warmer days so you can at least get the fresh air. Because that’s the most important thing, the air! The exercise is just a bonus

18 reasons I’m staying alive after a lifetime of saying I wouldn’t make it to 18
I turn 18 in 2 months, so it seemed like a good time for this list.
To live my childhood dream of finding true love, getting married, and getting to be a housewife wearing pretty dresses like a Disney princess
To travel the world and go to all the Disney parks at least once
To make real friends who share my values and won’t judge me simply for existing the way I am
To find happiness and peace despite the people who have fought for me to never have it
Because my inner child deserves to be healed and nurtured, not killed
Because there is no way I’m letting the people who have told me to ⚰️ myself win
To meet my online friends in person (with safety precautions, obviously)
So I can experience life away from my family and the horrible memories kept within this house
To make my dream of writing a book a reality
To experience life beyond school
To adopt a puppy some day
For that one girl who said my death would hurt her forever
To cuddle with someone and really feel safe in their arms
To find a way to experience the wonder and happiness of childhood again
To have a homestead someday
To experience a picnic date
To learn the skills I’ve always wanted to learn (baking, knitting, crocheting, etc)
Because I deserve happiness regardless of what anyone has said

if there’s one area of my life i might consider myself decently knowledgeable, it’s friendship. from losing two of my best friends of over 10 years and spending the last year relearning how to connect with people on a deeper, intimate level, i’ve learned that friendship is about who calms all of the chaos in your mind but also who brings out the chaos when life becomes mundane. it’s about finding people who make you think and who challenges you to be better. it’s about learning how to say sorry but also how to forgive and sometimes let go entirely. i’ve learned that friendship comes in waves and that people come and go, and i guess that’s the beauty of it all: that friendship is entirely unpredictable and sometimes ignorance is bliss

I quit my job today. I was having a hard time feeling good enough at home and school, so I used my job as a way to fulfill that. Now I feel way better at home and school, and the opposite with the job. They let two other girls have all of my hours, all because I asked them to do something about my power tripping team leader. I got 4 hours a week. My feet didn’t hurt so much for 40 dollars. I’m happy about it, moving on to better things.
I began writing this while feeling disappointed in myself but now I’m proud. Just write your way thru.

It’s good to change! It’s important to change! Many people who are super cool now used to be super mean! You can be one of the cool people if you try and listen
Comprehensive translation: It’s okay if you used to be homophobic. It’s okay if you used to be pro-censorship and anti-furry. It’s okay if you used to be ableist and racist. What matters is that you make ends meet and apologize to those you’ve hurt and make change now, by listening to the people you’ve hurt. Listening to their experiences and opinions. Many people, in fact, are indoctrinated from a young age, through their parents or the media, to think that “the other” is bad, and in most cases, “the other” is minority communities. You aren’t alone when you say you used to be homophobic and now identify as genderqueer bisexual. But you will be alone if you continue to be bigoted.
Obligatory addition of saying that kids can often me naive and cruel and stupid. But don’t shit on them for it. Help them learn. Teach them. They still have hope. They won’t have any if you double down and call them “puriteens” and dismiss them. Listen to them and teach them.

I think it's the only show I've had a constant itch to watch again since it was pulled off of ionTV. I don't want to spoil it for myself by watching it in a negative state so I've decided, as a treat, once all of my chakras are aligned I'll finally watch it. 🍬
