suna doesn’t remember almost anything when you guys are packing. it’s like all basic necessities he needs, he forgets. on the plane ride he is sleeping almost the whole time, he’s dreading the jetlag but he wants to be prepared for the long day you guys have planned. wherever you decide to vacation he’s excited to be there as long as you are. you’re happy, he’s happy. the only thing he’s really looking forward to might be sleeping in the hotel. the plane seats were not comfortable. you think he paid for first class? no. once he gets real good sleep in he’s actually so much more energetic and is ready to go do little tourist things. he takes servers pictures of you guys at landmarks and restaurants just to save to a little album on his phone <3

oikawa is basically vlogging the whole process of picking and the trip. he honestly isn’t that forgetful but he’ll forget like one thing and it’s probably really important. seems like the type to overpack and forget his passport. also definitely wants to be their 2 hours early. you guys would grub on airport food until the flight. and yes, you’re definitely flying first class i don’t think i could picture him settling in economy. he’s seen the movies and he’s experienced those crying toddlers and those unlucky seats in between sweaty strangers. he’s not up for that at all. he would definitely post pictures of you guys posing in front of landmarks to his socials. or the food you guys eat at restaurants. i feel like i’m his instagram close friends he’s rating the food like he’s keith lee. overall it’s a very enjoyable vacation.

SEMIIIIIII my love<<333. (my bad) anyway, he makes sure you don’t forget anything. he made a list and he checked it not once, not twice, but three times he had to make sure. you guys leave prepared and you get to the airport 20 minutes before departure. i’m sorry but he’s not trying to wait in the airport for 5 hours, like some people…. if there are any types of street performers music wise or whatever he will stop so you two can watch. (definitely leaving tips.) going to an art museum is on the itinerary. he just likes making little jokes about the art and interpreting it in a funny way and not making it deep. but he also really appreciates the art and especially street art (if any where you vacationed) he will make small talk with older natives to wherever you visit and listen to their stories. even if he’s not interested he acts like he is. he’s making the most out of the vacation that’s for sure.

now i’ve thought about atsumu on vacation several times this is why i had to include him. he’s forgetful when you’re packing, no doubt but in the end he remembers everything and you guys BARELY make it in time to the airport. you’d think with how often he’s flown he’d be better but no. this man is looking forward to fucking up some foreign food. he is using this vacation as an excuse for whatever diet he is on. fans spot him in the airport when you guys arrive and the amount of paparazzi is insane. nonetheless he is really just has his arm wrapped around you as you guys head out to the ride waiting for you. NICE ASS HOTEL! NICE ASS HOTEL! 100% got one of those rooms that looks like an apartment. did you guys watch singles inferno? like those. back to the food he is cleaning plates and trying every single dish recommend at the restraints. hell take some photos of landmarks but he’s rather just enjoy it with you in the moment.

Other than Gaara, Raziela realized really fast what was going on with her. She knew what was going on.

When she returned, she blocked every try from Gaara to be friends. She wasn't interested in making new Friends, and that's why she showed Gaara the cold Shoulder. But after some Months, every time she discussed a Mission with him or gave Report, they warmed up with each other more and more.

Even before they became Friends, Reeze realized that he liked Gaara more than she should. In her Opinion a normal Kunoichi wasn't allowed to be in a Relationship with the Kage of a Village. But what should she do against her own Feelings, against her own Heart?

It became even worse after she became his personal Assistant. They saw each other every Day and soon she realized that she fell in love with the young Kazekage. She daydreamed about him all day when he wasn't around, she in General thought about him most of the time. And she knew that Feeling because she was in love once before Gaara. She also had these Feelings for Akio, her first love. But ... the Feelings inside her heart felt even more intense for Gaara.

Thats why she didn't like Days off. That did mean that she wasn't near him, and she enjoyed being with him so much.

She really was so deep in love with the young Kazekage .. And she was sure that she would keep her Feelings to herself. Not knowing that soon they would confess their Feelings to each other and became a Couple.

IT WAS SAFE TO SAY THE KYLE AND I HAD SPENT ALMOST THE REST OF THE DAY DECIDING HOW TO BREAK THE NEWS. It wasn’t even just our parents we’d have to tell, it was everyone. We had seriously considered bribing Ike with candy to have him break the news to the Broflovski’s, but he simply flipped Kyle and I off before retreating to his room. Now telling Kenny was probably the easiest part of it all. The squeal he let out, and immediately enveloped me in a hug proved to me that he would have probably been angry if we had given the baby up in the first place. But now came our families, so of course Kenny had to be there for moral support.

“Okay, listen..we’ve gathered you guys today because we have something to announce.” Kyle said, the two of us standing infront of the couch in the living room of the Broflovski residence as we spoke. It was actually quite a terrifying intervention. Both pairs of parents sitting on the couch, Ike on the chair with his iPad and my brother sitting leisurely on the arm of the couch.

“Are you guys dating?” My mom asked, but I was interrupted before I could answer.

“Aw gross dude, just don’t suck face in front of me alright?” Stan said, scrunching his face up with disgust. “I’m already trying to bleach my eyes from that disgusting iray on the basketball court yesterday.” He continued to whine, earning a look of warning from me as Kyle shook his head.

“No, well, kinda, but that’s not what we wanted to announce.” He explained, Kenny looking between us both with furrowed eyebrows.

“Kinda? How are you kinda dating?” He asked, not feeling the anticipation the way the rest of our family was, having already known what the announcement was, of course Kenny’s very very small attention span was in full range.

“You know like, we’re together but it’s not like, truly together together but like…” I began to explain, and Kyle nodded along.

“I like her she like likes me, it’s really not that hard to..” Kyle continued, before Sheila shook a hand in between us, bringing us back to reality.

“What did you call us here to tell us?” She asked, making me nod at her.

“Right.”

“In leiu of recent eventss…” Kyle began explaining, causing a rise of anxiety to form in my stomach.

“Mark and Vanessa’s divorcee…” I continued, grabbing onto Kyle’s hand to help calm my nerves.

“The baby has been left homeless. And I’m, well, we decided that..” Kyle stopped talking when he made eye contact with his mom for the first time since we got here. I think something seemed to connect in my mind that I wasn’t alone in this. Kyle was right there beside me, holding my hand. And that I wasn’t the only person this was affecting. Kyle was just as scared to tell his parents. I squeezed his hand.

“That what?” Stan asked, making me sigh.

“That we’re gonna keep it.”

“What?”

“Juno, honey, are you sure you’ve thought this through?” My mom asked, ignoring the confused looks from the Broflovski’s.

“Yes, I have. I’m gonna pick up a job at Mr Garrison’s convenient store until the baby arrives..” I explained, a protective hand over my stomach as my mom rubbed a hand over her face with stress.

“And I’ve already worked out a job with both Jimbo and the ice cream shop with Butters.” Kyle explained, but Sheila shook her head with confusion.

“Kyle honey, I don’t see what this has to do with you, with us.” Sheila said, her calming voice and kind demeanor making me feel even more nervous to tell her this. Somehow, everything felt even worse due to her kindness. Sheila was like a mother to me, even when we were kids. It just made me feel worse, knowing I'd disappoint her.

“Well, mom, dad.” Kyle began, before sighing again and squeezing his eyes closed momentarily. “Listen, I know it’s not ideal, and I know it’s been a long time coming, and I should’ve just told you from the start, but well, umm…” he tried to find the words, sharing a look at me when he noticed how difficult this truly was.

“Kyle is the father.” Kenny said with a low intimidating voice, earning looks of anger from Kyle and i.

“Dude, totally stole their moment.” Stan said, shaking his head in disappointment as Kenny frowned.

“I'm sorry I’ve always wanted to say that, like those reality tv shows.” He said back, both boys continuing to bicker, but all our attention was on Sheila.

“What what WHAT!?!” She shouted, causing Kyle to flinch slightly as he retreated closer into my body.

“Kyle Matthew Broflovski, you got a girl pregnant and you didn’t tell us!?!” Gerald shouted, and Kyle sighed, looking up at his dad.

“It wasn’t even gonna matter, she was giving the baby away, it would’ve been useless to tell you.” He said quietly, and Gerald’s expression grew angrier.

“Useless to tell! What so you can go and get another girl pregnant instead?!” He shouted again, making Sheila shake her head with disappointment.

“I can’t believe this, I thought we raised you right!?”

“In all fairness Mr and Mrs Broflovski, you have.” I interrupted, letting go of Kyle’s hand for a second to step forward more. “Listen I’m not gonna say he’s totally innocent, it takes two to tango, but Kyle’s been nothing but kind to me throughout this whole thing. I mean, he respected me, he took responsibility…”

“I mean have you met your son? There’s no way he initiated the sex.” Kenny interrupted, causing me to widen my eyes at him.

“Kenny.” I whispered, and he raised his hands in defense.

“Sorry.”

“I know it’s not the perfect situation, and we don’t make the picture perfect family, but I don’t think I would have survived this long without your son.” I explained, causing both Sheila and Gerald’s expressions to soften.

“Jo?” Kyle said, but I ignored him and kept talking.

“And if it’s any consolation, I was the one who told him to keep it from you. I didn’t see the point in causing more trouble than I already had.” I said, picking anxiously at my nails as I avoided any eye contact with anyone else in the room. Kyle stepped close to me again, grabbing my hands to stop me from picking at them, lifting my chin slightly so his eyes would meet with mine.

“Juno, you didn’t cause any trouble. This isn’t your fault.” He said softly, tucking a stray strand of hair behind my ear. I smiled at him, pouting slightly when I cupped his cheeks sweetly:

“But it is.” I sighed, placing a soft kiss on his forehead before letting my hands drift off his body. “You’re just so sweet you choose to block that part out.” He sighed, shaking his head, about to say something in response, but deciding to stay quiet. I wasn’t exactly sure why, but based off the look he gave me I could tell he was too nervous already to try and reassure me further. And he knew no matter how hard he’d try to reassure me, I wouldn’t listen. Instead I could feel him wrap his arms around me from behind, his large hands resting on my stomach as his chin laid on my shoulder. I smiled softly, feeling a soft peck be given to my cheek, somehow managing to soothe my whole body.

“Well, Kyle I am still very angry with you.” Sheila said speaking up, causing Kyle to step away, nodding at his mom. “And though I’m angry you didn’t tell us, I admire your maturity with this whole thing.” She said softly, letting out a long sigh, as if she hadn’t been able to breathe this whole time.

“Thanks mom.”

“You’re still grounded young man!” She shouted, pointing a finger at him. He was nodding quicker now, still scared of his mothers raised voice.

“Of course.”

“3 weeks!”

“Understandable.”

“And no electronics.”

“I get it.”

“And no basketball either, at least while you’re grounded.”

“Yes ma’am.” Kyle said, saluting his mom, a small smile on his face, reciprocating in hers.

“Now are you two sure this is what you want to do?” Gerald asked, looking between both Kyle and I. We both smiled, grabbing each others hand.

“I’ve never been more sure about anything in my life.” I said softly, earning a hand squeeze from Kyle.

“A baby is a lot of work.” My mom explained, earning nods of agreement from my dad.

“It takes time, and money…” my dad continued, all the parents about to continue before Kenny shot up from his seat.

“I call God father!” He shouted, jumping with excitement as Stan cursed to himself.

“Damn you McCormick! I call the next one!” Stan shouted, also jumping up as he glared angrily at Kenny.

“Boys!” Sheila shouted, as Kyle and I looked at each other, laughing lightly as the two began to argue once again.

AFTER THE STRESS OF THE EVENING DISSIPATED, we came to realize that Kyle being grounded didn’t count coming over to my house. Sheila was practically giddy at the fact to let him be closer to me, which if that doesn’t just warm your heart I don’t know what does. We were currently snuggled together on the couch, Butterssitting beside us, Cartman carefully watching the tv as Stan and Kenny attempted to make dinner in the kitchen. My parents were out to dinner so we were on our own, and of course Stan being the “man” he is he needed to prove his cooking skills.

“What did you mean earlier when you said we weren’t technically together?” Kyle asked, causing me to sit up a bit, moving my legs from their spot on Butters lap to sit up next to Kyle.

“Oh, well, just you haven’t officially asked yet.” I said, shrugging my shoulders as he raised an eyebrow at me.

“That was my job? I thought the thousands of tic-tac’s in my mailbox sealed the deal?” He said, chuckling lightly. I smiled up at him.

“No silly that was just my love confession.” I explained, making him smirk. He sat up, pretending to straighten a tie that wasn’t there.

“Well then, Juno Marsh, will you do me the honor of being my girlfriend?” He said, smiling cheekily as a smiled back. I kissed him, holding his chin and squeezing slightly, smiling from ear to ear at his cuteness.

“Well of course, I mean we’re already married aren’t we?” Kyle smiled wider at my words, remembering our “wedding” we had with ring pops as children.

“Fair point.”

“So, do you guys know if it’s a boy or a girl?” Butters asked, his hands practically glued to my stomach since I sat down. I swear sometimes I think Butters was more excited than me. More excited then Kenny even. I think every time he’s around his hands never leave my stomach.

“No, we’re staying surprised.”

“That’s crazy, so there’s like, a baby in there?” Butters said, holding his cheek against my stomach, surprising both Kyle and I as Cartman looked over with disgust.

“A little demon spawn of ginger Jew genes.” He grumbled, rolling his eyes as he glared at Butters.

“Shut up Cartman.” Kyle threatened, causing Cartman to stick his tongue out at him before looking back at the tv.

“You’re like God!” Butters shouted, moving his head up to smile at Kyle and I.

“Butters, what?” I asked, laughing at his response.

“You’re right, God didn’t grow people, he just pressed a button and they sprouted from the ground.” He explained, placing his head back against my stomach.

“Is that accurate?” Kyle asked, causing me to shrug.

“You’re like, better than god.” He whispered in awe, making me nod in agreement.

“You hear that Stan?” I shouted, hearing Stan scoff all the way from the kitchen. “I'm better than God.”

“Yeah and I'm Jesus.” He shouted back, making my face scrunch up.

“Ew gross, that would mean you’re my son!”

“This is so beautiful, you’re so beautiful it’s crazy.” Kyle whispered, kissing the top of my head softly. “How are you even doing that?” He asked, his hand around my shoulder moving to rest below my stomach, holding it protectively as Butters continued to cling onto me.

“You didn’t hear? I'm god.” I said smugly, smirking at him as he playfully rolled his eyes.

“AH!” Tweek shouted, causing Craig and I to jump slightly as we both looked over at him. “What if you bruise the baby’s head?” He asked anxiously, referring to the bowl of popcorn that was resting on top of my baby bump. Craig grabbed his arm, rubbing it soothingly to calm him down.

“Relax honey, I’m sure Juno knows what she’s doing.” He reassured, making me raise an eyebrow at him questioningly.

“Oh I have no idea what I’m doing, but I doubt this bowl will bruise the baby’s head.” I said, earning a light shove from Craig.

“Ah! That’s so scary!” He said, grabbing a fistful of his hair nervously. I smiled, feeling a light kicking at the bottom of my stomach. I grabbed Tweeks wrist from his hair and placing it where the baby was kicking. It seemed to calm him down, smiling at the sensation against his hand before his body soothed. Craig placed his hand above Tweeks, smiling.

“I can’t believe you’re gonna be a mom.” He said, shaking his head with disbelief as my face scrunched up.

“Ew, don’t even say that to me.” I said, adjusting slightly as the kicking started to become painful.

“What? It’s true.”

“Yeah but I like to be blissfully unaware for as long as I can.”

“I thought you hated being pregnant.” Craig said, making me nod at him with widened eyes.

“I hate it so much.” That wasn’t necessarily true, I did love it. It made me feel less lonely, important. Like I did have a purpose in this world.

“Yeah, you’ve been so sick lately.” Tweek said, making me shutter.

“Don’t even remind me, just hearing the word sick makes me gag. I just, I wanna have a chill night, with my boys, with no interruptions to worry me.” I explained, earning a pout from Craig. I sighed, laying my head on Tweeks shoulder as I rested my legs onto Craig’s lap. He sighs in response, rubbing soothing patterns against my leg as I closed my eyes, Tweeks head resting against mine.

“Juno!” Kenny yelled, sprinting in through the front door with Stan, causing both Tweek and I to shoot up.

“Ahh!” Tweek shouted, making me hold onto my ear.

“Good lord I think you bruised my eardrum.” I said, as Tweek shook nervously in his spot.

“Why would you do that!?” He shouted at Kenny, causing both boys to shrug.

“I’m sorry, I didn’t think you’d be startled.” Kenny said innocently, making Craig roll his eyes.

“Yeah, just run into the room screaming out of nowhere and expect it NOT to scare tweek.” Craig said, making Tweek flip him off.

“You guys are assholes!” He shouted in response, as Stan shook his hands, trying to get my attention back to him.

“Anyway, look June, Kenny can hold this spoon on his nose for 3 minutes.” Stan said excitedly, both boys practically jumping up and down with joy.

“Unimpressed.” I said, making Stan roll his eyes.

“Okay, fine. Well watch this, he can catch popcorn in his mouth from all the way across the room.” Stan said, coming to stand beside me as Kenny braced himself from across that room.

“Uh, Stan..” I said, feeling a churning inside my stomach at the smell from the bowl Stan had.

“Yeah?”

“What kind of popcorn is this?” I asked, holding my chest to try and steady myself.

“White cheddar, why?”

“Oh god.”

I quickly ran to the bathroom, throwing up all of my food from the day into the toilet, resting my head in my arms as I let out small whines of discomfort. I closed the door behind me, not wanting to stress out any of the boys.

“Juno?” Stan called, knocking on the door as he heard my light sobs.

“Go away Stan!”

I could hear him sigh from the other side of the door, before ultimately retreating, saying something to the other guys as they walked away.

“Hey, Stan called I came home as fast as I can, what’s up?” Kyle asked, carefully peaking his head through the door when he saw my form hunched over the toilet seat. His gaze softened slightly as he tied my hair back into a ponytail, rubbing soft circles into my back.

“You left basketball?” I asked, my voice softening when his hand met my cheek. I frowned at him, which he reciprocated.

“Yeah, it’s no big deal it’s just..”

“Kyle, honey it’s a big game..” I interrupted him, running my hands through his curls, maybe him sigh.

“It’s okay, you’re more important to me.” He said reassuringly, frowning when he noticed the few tears that started dripping down my cheeks.

“Now, what’s wrong?” He asked softly, rubbing his thumb gently across my cheek bone.

“I don’t think the baby likes cheese all too well.” I laid my head against his chest, making him sigh as he tried to soothe my nerves.

“Sick again?”

“I thought this was supposed to end after the first trimester.” I whined into his chest, as Kyle kissed the top of my head.

“I know love, I’m sorry. Want me to get you some water?” He asked, making tears begin to drip down my cheeks. He pulled away when he felt wetness on his shirt, pouting at me when he did.

“Oh, oh please no, don’t cry honey.” He reassured, and I just shook my head, wiping my face haphazardly on my sleeve.

“You’re just so sweet to me. I love you so much Kyle I just, I’ll never love anyone else again.” I cried, hiding my face in my hands. He chuckled slightly at my dramatics, placing his hand on my stomach.

“If I’m being sweet then why are you crying?” He asked, smiling when he felt a few light kicks against his hand.

“Shut up asshole! I’m emotional.” I yelled, pulling away. He raised his hands in defense, causing me to cling onto him and once again hide my face in his chest.

“Yes you are.” Stan said from the door, causing me to turn around. Once I did I noticed that all of the boys were standing at the door. The once cracked slightly open door was now wide open as Stan, Tweek, Kenny and Craig were watching with concern. I threw my middle finger out at Stan.

“Shut up Stan! I swear to god I will shove your phone so far up your ass you’ll be tasting it for a week!” I shouted, Kyle holding me back as I tried to lunge at him.

“Bitch.”

It barely came out as a whisper, but I still heard him. I didn’t know why, I knew he was kidding, Stan and I called each other names all the time. But for some reason, I couldn’t control the tears that streamed down my cheeks.

“Oh why are you crying now?” Craig asked, a look of concern on his face as I hurrying my head once again into Kyle’s already soaked short.

“Stan called me a bitch!” I mumbled against Kyle’s shirt. He shushed me carefully, running his fingers through my hair to try me calm me down.

“I know love, you’re just going through a lot of big emotions right now, it’s okay. He’s sorry, aren’t you Stan?” Kyle said, turning to look at Stan who stood with his arms folded, shaking his head.

“No dude.”

“Say you’re sorry!” Kyle shouted, making Stan flinch slightly.

“I’m sorry! I’m so sorry! I love you.”

I smiled up at Stan, seeing a playful smile reciprocated on his face.

“I love you too.” I said, going back to letting Kyle hold me.

“See? All better.”

“Your chest smells pretty.” I mumbled, making Kyle laugh as I let myself relax to the sound of his heartbeat.

“How many more months of this?” Craig whispered to Kenny, making him shake his head as all the boys watched in fear.

“Oh god I hope not too many.” He replied, Stan shaking his head as well.

She gave me a wet Willy two days ago cause I ate her grapes. I still have a bruise.” Stan explained, earning looks of confusion from everyone.

“You don’t get bruises from a wet Willy idiot.” Craig teased, rolling his eyes. Stan stared straight ahead, a scared look on his face.

“From Juno you do…from Juno you do.”

Excuse me, may I ask you a question?

I was really wondering how you are still friends with the artist named snow124? They are so talented and high amount of sasunarusasu community loves their art but once i saw their very rude and unsympathetic behavior because of my reposting their fan work on instagram, but that was one year ago. As far as i know you were friends with this artist even back then and i wonder if they've ever been rude to you? How you can still tolerate that person?

Hello there！ Hmmm ok I've been looking at your ask for a while and just thinking how to answer it… "should I answer in one sentence or the length of a novel?" And then I just thought i couldn't describe myself in one sentence. So here we go…

Warning！This is a long post, sorry.

First of all, I have a few things to say before answering your questions. And these things about me, if you don't mind. Okay so, I really have no idea what i look like through someone else's eyes, but i don't like to talk to people often in my real life. In most cases, creature called "human" acts only for its own benefit… This is purely my personal opinion and I won't say all, but 95% of people are like that even if they don't admit it. I don't like selfish, liars, two faced people. So can we say that I am as lonely as Sasuke? Yes I am. (I've already said that i feel close to Sasuke's character during the insta Q&A thing) but anyways… That's why there are very few people around me that I truly trust. And Snow is one of them.

Now coming back to your questions… Well…… Firstly i didn't like you calling her "the artist named snow124". I mean, what does that mean !? Many people in the sns community don't think of more than one person when Snow124 is mentioned, right (?) but everyone thinks of only one artist. So I would understand if you only say Snow124. (Just felt like you were trying to marginalize her or something, and this bothered me)！ Secondly, have you ever thought of turning the mirror at yourself before calling someone rude, unsympathetic, stupid, idiot etc? When there's a disagreement, do you really think it's always the other person's fault ? …You know what, I asked Snow first before answering your ask just because her name is mentioned here. And if she had said "don't answer", I wouldn't have answered. But why did I do that? After all, this is my ask box, my account, so why am i asking her? But actually the real question is, why do you post her artwork that she spends her hours maybe days on your own account without even asking her permission, while I get permission from her just because her name was mentioned in a question that came to me? Can you see the difference between these two examples i gave? Well, if you still can't see it, i'll explain in one word. This is "respect"！

Is that your commission? No. Is it your work? No. Is it your idea, design, collab or something? No. So then, who gave you the right to post someone else's work for just a few likes and followers? And what kind of reaction do you expect the artist to react to your disrespect towards their work? Think about it a little……

It's not the first time I've seen people call Snow rude. And maybe others are right in their own way but her attitude or words were never rude to me… I think it's wrong to expect everyone to give the same reaction when faced with a problem or something！For example; I'm not good at controlling myself emotionally …not that professional yet. On the other hand, I see that Snow is able to keep her emotional side more controlled and stronger than me. But do you think that means she's callous? I know many people don't even care about empathy. But just for once, have you ever thought about this repost issue from an artist's perspective? I don't know if you are aware but many artists even deleted their accounts for this reason！So you can't say you saw their rude (as you call it) behavior as if you were the only right side！

Snow124 herself always says she's as cold as snow. Not rude but she is aware that she has a cold personality. So maybe "No." sounds very rude to you but it's just a simple no to her, you never know. And before I talk to someone, i try to get to know that person. I already knew she was like that, and frankly i like her critical attitude. She can see details that I can't see, but I take this as help, not rudeness (and this is one of the reasons i chose her as my teacher). I mean if someone likes rock music and says they hate pop, then I wouldn't try to get them to like pop music. Briefly, I accept that person as they are… Not with everyone but sometimes I talk so much that others even get a headache because of me …and from time to time Snow also (maybe forcibly) puts up with this side of me *im sorry* x) And she usually gives short answers to my boring novels but I never questioned that, or didn't think she was rude, or something. Do you know why? 'Cause she's not me, i'm not her. Maybe there are common tastes but one person is never 100% the same as another person. I never expected anything in return when i drew her a gift or a piece. When I care about someone or something i do it without expecting anything in return (this is also one of the reasons why i still keep drawing Naruto and Sasuke)

When it comes to "tolerate" thing… Hmm ok I don't understand exactly what you're talking about. I mean it's not about tolerating Snow, on the contrary she tolerates me at many points (and my silly jokes that aren't funny at all x)) Also yeah there are many things in my real life that I have to tolerate, so i just remember how i was able to calm my mind again thanks to my fanart accounts and some golden people here…

Also if I remember correctly, someone on insa said i was nicer than Snow for warning them before reporting their repost, just like you anon. But after that due to another report, someone else started sending abusive messages to my personal email address. Yes maybe i'm more patient about reposts than her, but not anymore！Everyone has a limit, please remember this！ And one last thing, you guys don't even realize when you're actually being rude by directly calling someone rude.

you sound bitter bc the “art stealer” is getting more notes on posts than you. I know them irl. they also don’t claim the art as theirs, they’re just sharing it on this platform. the artwork they are posting is all over the internet, mainly Pinterest, without any indication who the artist is. they give credit when they know who the artist is. they literally changed the post to include credit as soon as you gave them the original artist’s instagram handle, despite you claiming that they did nothing.

I am aware that I sound very bitter. I am allowed to. You're saying that I am not allowed to feel bad or bitter when I see someone steal, and get interactions on their stolen posts? And yes, in this case they have reached higher notes than most of mine. But when I called this out the first time, they didn't, the elmax art had just around 100 and this el one had 14 notes.

I have seen stolen art on the Byler tag before that got zero notes. ZERO. And that also made me want to call that person out. I didn't, but I still think about digging up that post and doing it. So I don't know what to tell you, art theft makes me mad every time, but yes, in this instance the amount of notes has a part in my actions. Because now it's not just about the op deleting the post, because that doesn't delete it from this platform completely. It will stay here as long as there are reblogs of it.

You're really trying to justify art theft? Art theft is never justified. Just because the art has been stolen several times already and is all over pinterest as you say, DOES NOT make it okay for more people to be spreading it around. I highly doubt any artist posts their art on pinterest, (my art has been posted there and it was terrible) so it is safe to assume that if you find art on pinterest it is already stolen.

And just like op you're trying to justify art theft by saying, they don't claim it as their own. They only wanted to share it to this platform, you say? And that isn't stealing? When it's still posted without the artist knowing or conseting? Interesting. Well, that's not cool. It's not right. It is not justified, and it's still stealing, no matter what you say.

And you also say there's no indication to who the artist is. (You're also using the exact wording as the op did in DMs. I'm not gonna say it but I'm thinking it) The elmax art had the artist handle right in the middle of it. You call that "no indication"?

Also it took me about two minutes to figure out the original artists and to find the original posts. So it really is not that hard to find them. And if you can't, then don't post it. And even if you do, still don't repost other people's art because they aren't consenting to it. This is what the elmax art had in the description. Doesn't seem like your friend even checked out the artist after I told them who it is.

And fine, I admit saying they did nothing is not completely true. I was going to bed and trying not to ramble in the tags of that post. I'm sorry that I spread misinformation like that. They did do something, they added the artist credit to the description. But as we already established, that artist doesn't allow reposts. And also, if you don't know how tumblr works editing the original post after there are reblogs, only edits the original post, not the reblogs. So now there are reblogs of that art with no credit floating around tumblr.

Honestly I know that reasoning with people who have stolen art never works. My art has been stolen on Instagram and for two years I have asked for it to be taken down(yes the repost has more likes then mine, I am allowed to feel bad about that). I just really wish it never happened in the first place but the world can't be that perfect now can it?

I love the fact that prior to in-game story of DELTARUNE Chapter 2 on DELTARUNE website, Noelle must be the one and only Lightner individual who would open spam e-mails in the junk folder of her computer (and later on, laptop) and gave care and attention to them; also minding to avoid links that would send her to anything explicit, scammy, and shady. Honestly, it’s a reason for her game and devices she uses to crash very frequently.

(me: reminisces how my Toshiba laptop went haywire full of malware and it crashed in 2004…wondered if it was Spamton’s doing. RIP that laptop. I always used MS paint to draw zodiacs and made it my Desktop wallpapers when I was a lot younger. And I had really cool rainforest pics and videos I did when I was at Costa Rica. X3)

Grateful and pleased a Lightner like her checks the spam folder of e-mails, Spamton, right before his Big Shot prime time, sent a Pipis (blue circle…egg…?). He valued her so much. She was his first Lightner he actually respected and I had a feeling he still (kind of) did in-game storyline (applies to both routes of gameplay).

Why did Spamton care for a Lightner deer highly as much as Queen did is beyond me; but I will say the theme of Light with Dark helping alongside each other harmoniously stays. He’s like Noelle’s needed lost uncle while Queen is Noelle’s needed lost auntie in some sort of sense.

He does this multiple times, sending his pipis with an attached code for Noelle to interact and care for in Cat Petterz 2 game.

In a Q and A on Twitter, Spamton revealed and reminisced about Noelle. He even went further to not invade on the personal privacies of any of the Lightners’ e-mails and browser history. He respects the confidentiality and makes good business of it. He calls it [charity], but I personally think it was a step for Spamton specifically to find what could’ve possibly be his true and REAL friend, but from a world beyond his own.

Also, my Spamton plush came in so fast, he must be scampering on all 4s to my mailbox at 200+ mph. He arrived 4 days after its initial launch and advertisement on Fangamer during the Spamton Sweepstakes weekend event.

My very first encounter with him upon his arrival is HE WAS STUCK IN MY MAILBOX for a brief couple of minutes. His BIG head was in the way!

I'm so excited to have my friend, @babooshkart join me in the library today! Although I’d seen their art and always enjoyed it before, I really fell in love with her 25 Days of Harry and Draco series, and that’s where our friendship first started (just in case you’re wondering, this piece is my personal favorite from that series). She’s here today to chat about art and to help me announce something new that I’m excited about in the library. You can read our conversation below, I’ll be DL, in bold and Babooshkart will be Boo. I had an amazing time talking with Boo, and I hope you have fun reading our conversation!

DL: Good morning! Thanks for agreeing to come chat with me today!

Boo: I’ve been looking forward to this all week, thank you so much for having me!

DL: Aww! I’ve been looking forward to this too. I’m especially excited to have you on to help me introduce my new feature, Art Mondays, since it’s really thanks to you that I had this idea. I’d been thinking for a while about if the library should try to include more art, but I wasn’t sure how to do that, or if it’d even be something that people were interested in. And then you told me how much it meant to you to be tagged in that post about artists I enjoy, I felt like it was a sign telling me to go ahead with it.

Boo: You’re gonna make me blush! I’m so unbearably excited for this new feature, and really flattered that I could be any sort of catalyst for you to create it. I know a lot of artists (obviously myself included) rely on rec blogs to help us find our next read – and possibly art inspiration – so it means a lot that you’d have an art feature!

DL: I think that artists are such an important part of our fandom community, so I really want them to feel included in our library community as well. I’m always encouraging people to leave kudos and comments on fics, but I want to give a way to show support to artists as well. Reblogs are what helps art to get traction, right?

Boo: For sure! I mean, I personally post some of my art to AO3 (mostly fest-related stuff, and I treasure every kudos and comment that I get there), but Tumblr sees every piece I make, and people reblogging them is the main way to get them really circulating in the fandom.

DL: Reblogging is good, but reposting is different than reblogging. Have you ever had your art reposted without your permission?

Boo: A lot of times, and it’s really frustrating. I’ve actually gone off of making art for Wolfstar, because I had a piece that I made for my friend Mari @onbeinganangel reposted so many times. It’s sad, because I loved that piece so much!! I don’t understand reposts, especially since tumblr and Instagram both have such clear ways of sharing art to personal blogs and accounts without reposting. So I will always be thankful to people who like/reblog/share, as it’s for them that I’m putting all this art out onto the internet!

DL: I feel like for a long time, especially as a fandom newbie, I heard about reposting but I didn’t understand it. Reposting is when someone takes your art (or your fic or something that you made) and posts it on their own account as if they are the person who made it. Even if the reposter gives credit, it’s still hurtful because someone took your work and put it somewhere you can’t control without your permission.

Boo: Exactly that. Originally I had a much gentler reposting policy, but after having my work put on so many different accounts where the reposter was claiming them as their own artwork I don’t allow any reposts, even with credit. I’ve also had reposts that would be defensive about not crediting me as the artist, or just respond “idk, I found it on Pinterest”. Now I go after reposts like a dog with a bone. It strips the joy out of creation, to have your work stolen. It’s very similar to some people exporting AO3 fics to Wattpad or fanfic.net–once that happens, we (the creators) have no agency over our own work.

DL: That sucks. So to clarify, reblogging is different than reposting. Reposting is taking that work and posting it under your own account, whereas reblogging is just sharing the artists’ original post.

Boo: Exactly! Reblogging (or sharing the post to your story on Instagram) is actually a super helpful way to get the original artwork out into the community! And a reblog is a useful tool – people who want to see more of that artist’s work can just click right through to their blog, rather than trying to hunt down the credit in some way.

DL: That brings us to the Library’s new feature, Art Mondays! Art Monday is going to be a single reblog of a piece of art that I’ve seen and enjoyed. I don’t feel qualified to give my thoughts on art like I would for a Happy Hour fic, but I still love seeing it and I’m hoping this can create a space for artists in the library and promote fanart a bit more.

Boo: I’m so looking forward to this!!! And I wouldn’t worry about feeling qualified – I’m an artist and I reblog fanart with incoherent screaming in the tags and nothing else. It’s the loveliest feeling to have a fandom community space like the Library putting our work on display, and I can’t even begin to explain how excited I am! (It’s more incoherent screaming, that’s what it is!) Where will you be hunting down your Art Monday features?

DL: Ooh! Like where do I find them?

Boo: Yeah! Will you be searching through tags, or relying on the dashboard? Stalking old fests?

DL: That’s a great question! First of all, I want to say that the Library’s Donation Policy will apply here, so if you’ve made art or see art you like and want to share it with the Library, please feel free to send me a link to the original post and I’ll consider adding it to Art Mondays (please know I make no guarantee that just because you’ve sent me something that I will feature it). So far, I’ve mostly found art through my dashboard, but I’ve definitely been stalking a bit also. When I see a piece of art that I like, if it’s Drarry it’s been going in the queue for Mondays. However, when I see one piece of art that I like, then usually I follow that artist for more. Something super lovely about fandom is that for the most part, following one artist means that I start finding more artists through them. So I have been scrolling (stalking) through artists’ blogs and using them to find other artists who I enjoy. I don’t search tags very often, but I did get into a “More posts like this” hole the other day and added 4 pieces to the queue that way. I’ve also been branching out a bit and following some artists such as yourself on Instagram, but I’m super lowkey there. I’m just lurking on insta lol. But that’s been a good way of seeing who has new art coming out because it’s usually being teased on stories there.

Boo: Oh my god you’re a lurker??? I have so much love for my instagram lurkers. I had no idea. This is so exciting! And yes, I adore that engaging more in fandom makes it so easy to find other creators with works that I love! I’ve made so many good friends by losing my mind in the reblog tags. I’m so excited to see what you have queued up!!!

DL: That’s something that I really love about Drarry, especially compared to other fandoms that I’ve been in. Of course there’s always going to be someone who wants to be a bummer and tear others down, but for the most part I see so much of our fandom going out of their way to be kind and lift each other up and share each other’s work. I’m thinking specifically of @the-starryknight’s Tuesday TLC Zone and @phd-mama’s May We Lift Each Other Up series. I think that’s a really healthy aspect of our fandom that’s doing so much for us. When we celebrate someone else’s work, when we reblog or share, it makes it that much easier for other people to find it. And it builds relationships where others do that for us too.

Boo: It really does!! And speaking as someone who has only been involved as a fandom artist for the past year and a half, it can be shocking and exciting to have authors and artists that I’ve been following for years engage with my content. I’m always overwhelmed with love when that happens, and usually struck with an urge to create even more (which is amazing, but also agonizing because I do have a day job that takes up my time). Fandom positivity and respect means even more amazing fics, artwork, podfics, and rec lists because creators want to put that goodness out there! This appreciation goes to fandom blogs that aren’t creators too – I know I speak for a lot of artists when I say that I have some followers that I adore just because they’ve thrown so much love my way.

DL: I totally get you – I’m always so grateful when someone just says “Hey, I like your library.” It’s such a lovely feeling, being appreciated.

Boo: It’s so wonderful!!! Every time it happens, I’m like “I love you, do you want a painting dedicated to you?” Which of course is a little unsustainable, but the urge is there.

DL: A little unsustainable lol. Pesky capitalism. I do have one last question for you before we wrap up.

Boo: Yes! I’m ready!!

DL: Are you currently reading anything, fic or published, that you’d like to share with us?

Boo: Ooh! I just finished Witness Marks by @gryffindorhearts, which was published for Fang Fest last week! That was a fun one because I was commissioned to do art for it as a surprise gift, but didn't have access to the fic, only bits and pieces that Starry gathered for me as references, so it was cool to read the whole fic and sink into the story. Next on the queue is @softlystarstruck's Fang Fest piece What Husbands Are For, which snagged me with "arranged marriage enemies to lovers". For traditional lit, I'm working my way through Harrow the Ninth by Tamsyn Muir (space necromancers!!!) and Under the Whispering Door by TJ Klune (ghost love story!!!!). Highly recommend both of them.

DL: OOOOH! Space necromancers!? Ghost LOVE!? You've got me convinced. Amazing.

Boo: Yeah YOU ARE!

Instagram Repost: June 4, 2022

My Husband and I spent some time at the annual Herb Festival this morning and had a lot of fun looking at vendors 🌿

Picked myself up a couple Dills (Anethum Draveolens)- one for me since my seedlings are still stunted, and one for my Mother in Law who was looking for some. Snagged a Purple Sage (Salvia Leucophylla) as well, since the Garden Sage (Salvia Officinalis) I put in as a replacement for the lost seedlings isn't doing too well, either; just not having luck with many of the seeded Herbs this year, it seems like.

Also nabbed some Honey from Rustic Roots, who come from my original Oklahoma hometown of Lamont (from way back when we first moved to the state when I was 3)! It was really nice to see something so interesting happening out there. And not only can I finally make that Mimosa (Persian Silk Tree) Honey I've been looking forward to now that the tree is blooming, but it'll also go great with the Jellies I picked up from the Freed Family Farm out of Major County; it's been a long time since I saw anyone have Sand Plum Jelly for sale. But they sold me on a Lavender Lemongrass Jelly, too- and my Husband on a Strawberry Jalapeno (even though we already had an Amish jar at home, ha). It's good stuff!

Also saw some amazing artwork from Dhruba (easelninkbydhruba), but I didn't have the budget for art this year. Really wish I did, though, because their work is stunning; so many beautiful pieces ... All in all, I'd say it was definitely a great way to spend the morning before my birthday!

Thank You. 🌸 Yep these two are back and I am honestly thinking of making a Instagram account focusing on the two cause why not [which I'll add to my carrd website for you guys to check it out down below] ANYWAYS SO YEAH MORE CONTENT OF THESE TWO. CAUSE I CAN the timeline here is with FMA Brotherhood where Ed visits Winry getting work on his automail before heading off with Greedling and the chimera guys. This does pop up in the story that is still being written about these two and I have been working on it off and on for years and just want to perfect the story before submitting it at least. So Emmy couldn't sleep after over hearing with Greedling and Edward about the fact that it would be best to leave Emmy behind [and it was during the trip heading back to Resembool] because knowing how the humunculi are they'll go after anyone who Edward cares about the most and do anything they can to keep them in their clutches. Winry was one of the hostages they planned to use on Ed and the worst gets when its Emmys life in the line as well. Emmy has fought her hardest even though she hasn't completely healed from the mine injuries she received that was not pleasant at all. luckily the injuries wasn't too serious to cause permanent damage but she was horribly hospitalized with limited supply but pulled through and went to the doctor the chimeras took her to like they did with Edward. Emmy couldn't sleep she had so much thought going on as she was worried when Edward leaves it'll be the last she sees him, of course she's worrying so much since she's used to tagging along with the brothers, especially Ed. So it will be the first she is separated from them until they return back home. Edward had a feeling she's been acting very off and decided to finally confront her and by luck they were completely alone in one of the rooms to talk in private. Which is something they rarely get to have between them since so much has been going on with everything that has happened. Edward assures her of a promise that he'll come back alive because he never plans on dying, because he has everyone waiting for him even his brother to count on him to get his body back and he never plans on dying what so ever. Emmy just wants to spend as much time with him as possible just the two of them, since this was a rarity they ever get privacy and time alone with themselves as life granted that as they were alone for the rest of the night. I love how this came out. I did my best making Edward in vroid the best I can. I do wish there's FMA outfits I can use on him but there hasn't been any that popped up that was decent and good which saddens me. [i even looked up on any models anyone made of him and its nothing but old models that doesn't even look good, i applaud to them however for trying.] I plan to make more content with the two again I just been very busy, got large commissions to work with still but its getting there. I do have old EdxEm arts I plan to redraw. I still have the large fanfiction of the two to work on as well as I plan to do a FMA 2003 series version and conqueror of shamballa version. Plus brotherhood since I like to give a variety for those who like brotherhood, for those who like the 2003 series. So yeah! :3 hope you guys enjoy!!

The Idea of Watermarking (and how to do it)

As an aspiring photographer, there is a small (and optional) rule that we follow and that is to watermark your work. This is so that people will know who originally took it (if the logo is identifiable) and to prove that you own the photo.

I’ve done it a few times and you can see them mostly the events gallery because those pictures were hard to take as they require me to go outside and talk to people (and I’m introverted af!).

But what if there is a photo you took and you need to post it immediately? How will you watermark it? Is it even worth watermarking?

This post will answer that!

If you follow me on social media and you’re part of the Phandom, then ya’ll should have seen this photo being circulated all over Twitter, Tumblr and Instagram during the last two days.

This my fellow readers is my meet and greet photo with Dan and Phil during the Cool For Summer Festival in Sydney Olympic Park in 2017. I got a Platinum VIP pass so it means not only I get to meet Dan and Phil but I also get first priority entry. I was supposed to be second in line but I swapped places with my friend Tani and I became third in line.

This is basically what happened during the meet and greet:

So I walked in and gave Dan and Phil a hug. But before that, I played Hello Internet and Dan wanted to walk away. Yup… I actually had bluetooth speakers on me and blasted Dan’s first video before hugging them. But Dan wasn’t upset, he laughed. He said that playing that was ‘iconic’ then we hugged. (And if you’re concerned, I only played ‘Hi my name is Dan’ then stopped the video).

I hugged Dan first then Phil. After hugging they signed my book and talked about TATINOF then told them about my journalism assignment that I used the tour for it and got a B+ on it and they told me to give a shout out to the journalism teacher.

Then came the pose. I told them ‘well, since you’ve been talking about Lazytown in your previous live streams, I want to do the iconic sportarobbie pose from season 3’

I showed the the pose on my iPod and Dan then asked who is robbie rotten. He first suggested me but i said i wanted dan to do it. We did the pose i wanted and surprisingly, that pose was reposted multiple times on Instagram and Tumblr.

I told them about the Philippine phandom and they also told me to give them a shout out well. Sadly couldn’t be recorded.

I then said thank you and left happy.

As stated above, the photo was reposted multiple times on social media and spread like wildfire, gaining 3k+ likes as I’m writing this post right now. TBH, I pretty much expected that to happen since the pose is just soo good!

Since I knew that this photo will eventually spread, I’ve decided to watermark my image. I was reading a few comments about this in both Twitter and Instagram about my decision and only a few people were butt hurt over my decision. They think its problematic and just a stupid of me to do it. But I don’t care since it’s my photo + I told my family and friends about my decision and they think it was a good idea, that it was smart of me to do so.

I’ve seen my fair share of mass repost of meet and greet photos and they were used in edits, videos and etc that it’s a thing in the phandom to crop the fan out. TBH, I don’t care if I get cropped out but I do care when they claim the photo as theirs without crediting the original owner. I’ve seen people who were literally upset when this happened to them (from m&g pics to art edits) and it sucks.

I didn’t want to watermark my pictures in the first place but unfortunately I posted a pic from TATINOF last year and people used it, making it look like its their photo. I wasn’t credited whatsoever (and it was a hard photo to take btw).

The photo I’m talking about is this:

It was a scene from TATINOF Sydney that I took using my iPad and not only people were mad at me for taking this photo, but used it in their ‘oh it’s been x months since TATINOF’ and stuff like that. And I needed this photo for my journalism assignment btw!

So after I took my meet and greet photo, I went to sit somewhere less hectic and began to watermark my photo. I posted it and the jokes just keeps on flying about the idea of me watermarking it. Despite most of the comments were about how cute the pic was, how I was a genius for doing this and how Dan is falling towards Phil is just phan goals, but the messages about the watermark hurt me a bit… like 1% damage.

My pose, people can easily crop me out, I’ve seen a few that did and once again… more comments about my decision. Most common is something around the lines off ‘Can’t crop this b*tch out anymore’ and something related to that. So I’ve released a statement on Instagram (where I first shared the pic) and there was lots of support about my choice and people understood why I did it.

Some have also told me that thanks to what I did, they also intend to watermark their future meet and greet pictures as well if they know it will go viral.

The purpose of the watermark is to show/prove that the photo is yours and no one can claim it’s theirs. Its permanent and unless you’re really good with photoshop, it’s hard to get rid off.

When it comes to my professional work, I usually watermark the bottom part of my photo as I want a clear shot of my pic as well as to easily identify that I took it.

Normally, I use Adobe Lightroom to watermark my works but when it comes to meet and greets, you need to upload them fast… Like the first 1 hour fast!

So how did I do it?

A few people asked what app I used to create my watermark. For those who ask, it’s called Enlight and it’s like Photoshop on your phone. It cost $5.99 AUD (but I got it for free when it was App of the Week 2 years ago)

It’s a really good app! I love to play around with it from time to time and IS REALLY USEFUL to fix really bad selfies like this one:

(Hi Pat if you’re reading this… sorry if this selfie is being used for a blog post about watermark advice)

I needed to edit that on the spot! I didn’t want to do it at home! Also this was two selfies, just layered on top of each other and made it black and white cuz the coloured version looked like shit and made it obvious that it was edited.

But asides its use for fixing bad selfies, it’s also good for watermarks. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the PNG file of my logo on my phone so I just wrote my username.

Enlight is really handy and is good for last min edits or quick access to watermarking on the go. It’s also good with edits but that for another post.

Now, every repost of my pose has my username at least spotted in the photo. You can crop me out but my name will still be seen… unless you’re a fan of Dan’s legs… then I have no control over that one.

》 The new Family Member 《

So, finally I have a Picture with Reeze, Gaara and Shinki alone - their very first Family Picture together. This Picture takes Place just a few Weeks after Gaara and Raziela adopted the Orphan Boy. But it wasn't that easy in the beginning.

When Gaara found Shinki on the Streets of Suna and he brought him home, Reeze was shocked at first. She didn't really know how to react because they never talked about an Adoption, and maybe she even was a bit upset about it. That Gaara didn't talk with her first before bringing the Boy in their Home. But all this changed when Reeze saw how the little homeless Boy clinged to her Husband. He really was in a bad shape and Reeze knew that they needed to help him. But some weeks passed before they officially adopted the Boy. That was because they had to get to know Shinki a bit before.

Gaara told Reeze about his Abilitys and that he was perfect for training with the Boy. He would be the perfect Mentor for Shinki and also Gaara wished that the Boy got his own Family: A Father, a Mother and Siblings. Aoi and Jiro were there around 3-4 years old. Shinki really needed them, he needed a Family.

Shinki, in the beginning time, only trusted Gaara. Not Jiro and Aoi and ... yes, also not Raziela. It needed some time until they finally warmed up. Reeze always tried to talk to him, to bring him to bed, to be there for him. And after some Weeks Shinki finally realized that she really wanted to be a Part of his World, that she wanted him to be a Part of her and Gaara's Family. She really wanted to be the Mother of this new Member of the Family.

Meme Culture in Art

I consider myself to be a shitposter. Especially on my Instagram stories. Everyone who knows me will know this. I like to post everything.

On my days off, I like to go on my silly little walks which is the exact same loop every time. I walk along the pier, film a little video of the sea, put a fun little song I like over the top and post it. Two hours later, I'm scrolling through TikTok. I see a video of a 3D rotisserie chicken; dancing, running, jumping. Headless. Over the endless clips plays earrape. Nokia phone ringtones, Quandale Dingle, 'have some more chicken, have some more pie'. I like it and then repost it to my Instagram story. One of my old managers told me that watching my story is a giant fever dream to him. He's right.

Memes have been used in various art forms for years, even before a meme became a meme. I'm talking about Dadaism, political satire, conceptual art, even some forms of performance art to name a few. The prime purpose of these works are to make fun of a situation, to depict something in a humorous way, and sometimes, they're made to make no sense at all.

Dadaism began around 1916. The reason they started the art movement was because a group of artists wanted to create pieces of works that depicted the horrors of the First World War. The works included performance, montage poetry; thus all designed to either form a satirical nature or be completely non sensical. At the end of the day, this movement was created to be political, to go against what others thought, and to evoke them. It was a short lived movement, but highly noted in terms of art history and the developments that followed shortly after.

Marcel Duchamp had to be one of my favourite artists from this movement. And why? Because his work was so simple, yet so effective. The way he thought to sign a urinal as R.Mutt and submit it into an exhibition is ballsy. As far as meme culture in art goes, I always immediately discuss Duchamp because he is a joke artist that works effectively. There is nothing offensive, cynical or mundane about the joke art he created.

Also, just the fact that to this day, you can go into an art gallery and just look at a literal signed urinal is hilarious to me. I think this piece alone has exactly the same energy as America by Maurizio Cattelan. Now I could go on about this man and his works forever. I could write essays about him. I tried to base my entire dissertation on one of his many controversial works. Ironically, the piece of his work I studied was not actually America. In fact, I never even mentioned the piece at all.

America is exactly what you would think it is. An 18-karet solid gold toilet created in 2016 that you could indeed use. It wasn't a piece of work that was displayed in the middle of a gallery in a glass case, unlike Fountain, it was in fact in a cubicle in the toilet. This was quite literally a piece of artwork that you could interact with.

This £4.8 million toilet was all fun of games to use, until the night it was stolen. I'm not sure what it is with Cattelan and his works being stolen or destroyed, sometimes both at the same time, but frequent misery follows with his works. The good news that came with this; the artist actually made three golden toilets. Perhaps he knew that this was going to happen, after all, you can't trust the Brits.

In other forms of Meme culture in the art world, we also have literal memes, blown onto small canvases and displayed in art galleries. This is Nothing Conceptual, works by Jesus Bubu Negron; a collection of memes that were created just for his friends. However, he ended up getting the opportunity to display them all in a gallery.

They're what I consider to be a very classic meme. Classic as in when they began to rise in popularity online in the early 10's. The artist says that submitting a collection of works to a gallery is like posting a video on YouTube and it going viral. These videos are typically going to be something out of the ordinary and something that is funny. It takes something absurd to get the attention of so many people across the world and I think this is something this body of work does so well. I would love for it to be a more common thing where you walk into a gallery and it is a carefully selected body of memes, all brought together in a gallery space to tell its own story.

Now, memes are easier to access than ever before. They're in your local gallery, they're on your Facebook as you scroll through your feed, they're even posted by tabloids on a YouTube live stream (goodbye Liz Truss. 2022-2022).

They really can be used for everything. Even for things as extreme as hate speech. Remember Pepe? The much loved disappointed frog that had a reaction image for literally any situation ever.

He started off as this little guy. Harmless. He was a character designed by Matt Furie in his comic series from 2005. Pepe began to circulate when Furie illustrated an image of Pepe pulling his pants down to have a wee and the image went around 4Chan with a caption that says 'feels good man'. Anyway, fast forward a few years, people begin creating images of Pepe looking distraught, captioning it with 'feels bad man'. This of course, became very popular within the 4Chan community. Katy Perry, Nicki Minaj and even Donald Trump (???) have all posted memes on their social medias, using images of Pepe. Pepe began to be used as a hate speech meme for the alt-right after Trump chose to Tweet himself as a Pepe. He gassed it up and within a week, tabloids were classing Pepe as a 'popular white nationalist symbol', I mean isn't that insane? Dudes literally a little frog. The whole hate speech concept went so far that his original creator, Furie decided to kill off Pepe to get people to stop displaying and creating him in such a way. But what are you supposed to do when your beloved cartoon is suddenly being redrawn as Adolf Hitler and the KKK? I guess you've gotta draw Pepe in a coffin and tell everyone that he died so he can't be used as a symbol for anything anymore.

The point is, memes can and will be used for anything. For good and for bad. They started off way before the human race even became aware of what a meme was and they've developed so far ever since. Harmless fun memes are the way to go, but I'm also sure it won't be the last time that we become exposed to a character or an image that spins so far out of control that it becomes an image of something that is out of your wildest dreams.

I think I'll choose to carry on with my silly little shitposting on Instagram. At the end of the day, even if I wanted to, I can't post anything offensive online because all of my work managers follow me.
