𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐄𝐗𝐏𝐋𝐎𝐒𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐈𝐍𝐂𝐈𝐃𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐀𝐓 𝐁𝐑𝐎𝐎𝐊𝐋𝐘𝐍 𝐕𝐈𝐒𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒 𝐀𝐂𝐀𝐃𝐄𝐌𝐘 almost caused an impossible amount of property damage. Numerous had minor injuries, while some were severely wounded, but overall, no deaths occurred. News reporters were at the scene, interviewing policemen, detectives, victims, and the public to inform others through television. Countless ambulances were parked nearby to help the wounded. People were divided, with numerous supporting your actions for saving them while others blamed you for the damages. Yet what made your head spin from confusion was how no one was talking about the other Spider-Man, Miguel. You knew he was there and that you weren’t imagining anything else. His ignored presence made it seem like the public never saw him, almost like a ninja undercover but a spider-man! The event covered each newspaper and channel and even started to gain more attention on online platforms. The raging public against you was making up crazy allegations in hopes you could be sued, making petitions in hopes of finding out your identity. Thankfully, it was just a small amount of them, mostly the politicians who wanted to give credit to the police. They’ve been nothing but a thorn in your side anyway, like those detectives who always tried to find any evidence on you but unfortunately found nothing.
It had been almost a full two months, and they still hadn’t gotten over it. Brooklyn Visions Academy has been closed since the incident to let students and faculty recover and rebuild the school. You, on the other hand, enjoyed the free vacation. There was no need to worry about exams or studies with the extra months off. The green creature caused a lot of damage, and the fire could’ve burned down the entire school. It was by chance that you got to save the victims, and you were thankful that Miguel showed up to help you, even if it was for a different cause.
It had been a full blast since the Spider-Man of Earth 928 invited you to join his spider-society. You learned a lot about it, as a rookie, when you started following him with the multiversal gizmo, the name of the watch. He founded it as an elite crew and began by recruiting other spider-people from other dimensions to assist him in removing anomalies, or people or things that were not intended to be in another universe.
You were shocked to see how many spider-variants he recruited before you. You believed it was already around twenty. But ever since you joined, the number of spider-men started to grow larger and larger. You met so many new friends, learning new techniques from them as well as forming new friendships. It was something you enjoyed; all of them—except for Miguel, were so much identical to you, even by personality. It created such beautiful diversity in his society, and you never felt more at home.
And for the first time in a long time, you didn’t feel so alone anymore, knowing you weren’t the only one, the only one to carry the great power and responsibility as a spider-variant.
Miguel became your inspiration. He was strong, yet he remained the very sarcastic and aloof person he was. He was a man of few words, but you wanted to learn more from him and become stronger like him. His efforts to recruit more spider-variants from various universes piqued your interest, and you wanted to help him. He occasionally allowed you to assist his multiversal policing mission as a co-leader. The multiversal gizmo he gave you would occasionally beep, as it was his only means of communicating with you from another dimension. To keep it short, you were getting the hang of this spider society and often went on missions with other spider-men.
A few of them were your age, and you grew to like them. One of them was Gwen Stacy. You found her cool for having an eyebrow piercing and for playing drums while in a band. She had pretty blonde hair with a hint of pink, but a portion of it was buzzed off, which she joked about because it happened when a spider-man from another dimension accidentally forced her to cut it. She always mentioned that Spider-Man was sweet, friendly, selfless, and such to you. Gwen was likeable and friendly as well, but at times.. seemed more tense when she talked about her problems with her dad and her best friend, Peter. She would frequently make light of it while you were concerned for her.
“But hey.. stuff happens right? Canon events and all that stuff…” Gwen would say, with an aloof yet recognizable anxious tone.
Canon events. It was the only thing you hated about the rules of the multiverse. You never had it stored in your mind, as it caused your head to hurt, your spider-senses to go haywire, and, overall, it hurt you on the inside. Every spider-man had to go through it. Even you. Every time the words canon event were spoken out of someone’s mouth, your stomach would drop slowly as you remembered your canon event.

You were in the rain, fighting your nemesis, who claimed to be the Venom of your universe. He was an extremely difficult opponent ever to beat and you often came back home limping with blood stains dripping off your shirt while you tried to hide it from your parents. You could feel their worried expressions often behind you, resulting in you feeling guilty. You just wanted to pour out your problems to a person who could understand you. You already knew friends and family weren’t the answer. In this line of work as a hero, you always act alone. Always by yourself. Aside from your worries, you could’ve sworn.. every time you could manage to escape your nemesis, it was like you were on your last days on Earth.
After hours of fighting under a monsoon in a large, dark alleyway, you could remember vividly that the rain was pouring down on both of you while you were breathing heavily, exhausted, and injured. Your wrists started to bleed out of your spider suit while you continued to shoot webs the entire time you were fighting Venom. He was tossing you around, gripping your head and smashing it through walls. You often spat out so much blood through your mask that you could remember drinking a litre full of it. Your eyes were wide and bloodshot, while your heart beat faster than a runner in a race. You clenched your fists as you felt the adrenaline in you, preventing you from giving up.
And in a fit of rage, you lost it. You remembered grabbing Venom’s forearm, gripping it so hard that you heard the host inside the creature’s bones shatter into pieces. You were silent during the entire fight; it wasn’t like any spider-variant. Usually, they’d make a sarcastic or humorous remark, but you weren’t playing around. You wanted him gone.
Venom’s limbs were tied individually to each wall of the alleyway’s buildings, as well as a tight noose formed by your webs on his neck supported by a billboard on top. He was weak for the first time in front of you. You couldn’t even take his presence anymore. You wanted him dead and gone, dismembered to the point where no one could ever find his body. You first pulled on all the webs to tighten their grip on him. They were thin enough to cut like a knife through his skin. His blood dropped down alongside the rain. After, you cut off all of them except for the one on his neck, leaving him to choke while you watched him suffer—the same criminal who killed one of your friends.
You remember him muttering your name, making you perplexed, but you were still heartless. You carelessly pulled his leg down as the venom’s skin started to melt. The gross substance ran down, staining you in the process before your eyes went wide. You quickly realized and as quick as you could, you cut the noose before his body collapsed onto yours.
“No.. no.. no… Peter, no,” you whimpered, cupping his beat-up face with your bloody glove. You quickly took off your spider mask. Tears built up in your eyes while you sniffled, and the blood from your nose dried. You caressed his cheek, moving any hair from his face in hopes of making him feel better. In his injured state, he slowly rested a hand on your soft-gloved fingers. When he saw your face, he couldn’t be more shocked. He winced as he tried to smile at you reassuringly, blood dripping from his mouth while his left bruised-up eye pulsed.
“I'm so sorry, Y/N… I.. I didn’t know you were spider-woman...” Peter blubbered, gripping your hand tighter. His hand slowly moved from your fingers to your face, cupping it as well while he wiped your fresh tears away before they could fall from your cheeks. “You’re so beautiful...” He admired you, smiling. He coughed out more blood, choking on the irony substance. He wanted to close his eyes but he hated the thought of leaving you. He tried to pull your face closer but most of his fingers were bent and broken. His consciousness drifted closer to leaving him. At least he could die in the arms of the one he truly loved.
“Parker, shut the hell up I’m getting you help, okay?! Don’t die on me!” You fussed, crying more as you wiped away the rain that poured down on his face. You brought his injured body into your arms. "No, no, no, please, Peter,” your sobs were muffled on his neck, your chest heaving as well. Your hand went to his wrist to quickly check his pulse, noticing it was already gone.
That night, a part of you died, knowing that your best friend, Peter Parker, was your nemesis and best friend all along. It was one of your canon events.

In the early hours of Earth 926-Z’s New York, you were dozing off in one of your dorm’s couches with a blanket over your chest. You were too drowsy to pay attention to your gizmo which beeped again. The gadget vibrated on your wrist before its screen automatically flipped open as it activated the portal’s access. Some of your objects started to float before the familiar colourful hexagons were summoned as they started to circle. You put a hand over your eyes, groaning when the brightness annoyed you. You tried to get more sleep until you heard footsteps. When your spider-senses buzzed, you peeked through your fingers with your exhausted eyes.
“Heeey Y/N, just thought I’d drop by,” the familiar voice said. It was Jessica Drew, one of the spider-women of the spider-society. She looked down at you, who slept on one of your dorm’s couches, tired. She chuckled at how drowsy you were; it was understandable since you were out fighting and catching anomalies with Hobie last night.
“Told ya not to get overboard,” Another familiar voice said. Your tired eyes looked up and saw the mini Lyla, Miguel’s sassy but highly intelligent AI. She flashed a smirk with her small virtual body in the air next to Jessica’s head by a few inches. She adjusted her pink, heart-shaped glasses and glitched to get closer to your eyes. She tried to lift your eyelids open with her tiny hands. Jessica took small steps around the living room, seeing how messy but organized the room was.
You grumbled and tried to shoo her hologram away. “Ughhh.. what do you want…” you groaned, turning over the couch as Lyla glitched back next to Jessica. With a flick from her fingertips, the spider-woman shot her web and pulled you up effortlessly, making you sit up on the couch.
“Y’know the girl I recruited— and your friend, Gwen?” Jessica asked, looking down on you while you hummed in agreement shortly.
“Anyway, Miguel and I assigned her for a mission in Earth 1610B to catch another anomaly—well, technically just a villain from that dimension,” Jessica explained but paused, looking back to Lyla. With a clap of her tiny hands, your room went dark as she presented an orange virtual screen that was twice as big as the coffee table. It flickered, presented someone, and then began to play as Lyla carried on.
“This guy calls himself the Spot, and he recently just caused some havoc in Earth 1610B’s Brooklyn,” the small AI said as the video continued. The villain was faceless, with a black spot in the center of his face and numerous spots all over his body. Almost like a human...faceless cow? The screen was then flipped sideways, creating a three-dimensional hologram of the strange entity. You rubbed your chin, and even though you were really tired, you couldn’t help but become curious.
The hologram flashed brighter with a slight change of colour as it became bigger. The figure collapsed from the screen as all three of you watched how the scenery changed into the broken collider from Earth 1610B that Miguel told you about. The Spot’s holographic figure flickered out of nowhere again before you heard him speak.
“Look at me— you did this to me!!” The Spot yelled, his voice becoming more and more distorted as he began to charge into the spider-man and the officer beside him. You watched as the two of them were in a fighting stance until the Spot summoned a hole by accident, getting himself kicked by, well, himself. He made a slight oof sound, knowing it would’ve hurt a lot. He took a pretty big tumble as he slid in front of the two with his jaw on the floor before another hole was created, pulling him into the black abyss. The hologram then ended, going back to being a screen.
You rubbed your eye after you finished watching, bewildered but still drained. You looked back at Jessica and Lyla; the frizzy, curly-haired woman had a serious expression on her face, watching with an austere look on the Spot. It made you slightly tense like a kid seeing their mother angry. She looked back at you before her face softened as she sighed. You cleared your throat before speaking.
"So, uh, what does this have to do with me?” You asked, scratching your head out of curiosity.
"Well, Gwen knows her way 'round that world since she got pulled into that dimension before,” Jessica explained while she started to walk around your living room, viewing the decorations with an aloof stare.
"I know 'bout her lil' friend.. Miles, right? 'm pretty sure she told you 'bout him before.” she continued, looking back at you to see what you had to say. You just nodded while you watched her slowly move around the room, running her hand gently on the surface of your tables.
“The girl’s good at combat like any other spider-variant in the spider-society. I mean, I could’ve sent her hours ago, but, y'know, Miguel.” Jessica spoke before her eyes wandered back to you. “It honestly ain’t a surprise that he doubts her but this Spot dude is starting to concern Miguel. I’ve faith in Gwen, but Miguel still insisted on bringing another spider; he recommended you.” Your eyebrows rose as the pregnant lady turned back to you She cleared her throat, and she became more serious.
“So— an order from Miguel; you accompany Gwen to Earth 1610B and the two of you make sure the operation is a success.” She rummaged through her spider-suit’s pocket and tossed you something very small. You easily caught it and saw a tiny mechanical spider, its legs tucked into its body, with a funky logo on the iron skin, You assumed Lyla fabricated it. Jessica continued to speak. “Aaaand put that device near the Spot. Just put it somewhere he can’t find it,” she explained.
You looked down on the very tiny machine. “What does it do?” You asked. “It can track the person's whereabouts through the multiverse and scan their data; pretty cool, huh?” Lyla smiled, floating around in the air. You looked back at Jess, who had a serious look, but you could tell she wanted you to join. You sighed.
“Fineeee, I’ll do it,” you responded before standing up from the couch, opening your closet nearby to get your spider-suit. Lyla easily opened up another portal, causing a ruckus as some of your furniture started to fly around again. Jessica was about to step into the large floating and orange hexagons before she looked back at you, giving you a thumbs up and fully entering the portal. It closed on you as well as Lyla, who disappeared out of thin air.
Tumblr media
You travelled through space and time, bending the laws of physics as you travelled through the multiverse with speed faster than light. It was all blurry with only space and stars passing through you as well as the hexagons that led the way. It all started to clear when the matter itself tore apart, creating a hole. You blinked once before you finally saw yourself on Earth 928. You were spawned in the middle of the lobby as you easily used your webs to maneuver around and reach the cafeteria, where you'd meet Gwen. The familiar ginormous building would make a normal person pass out of confusion but it had what every spider-variant liked; a big space to swing freely, overpasses to walk on even when upside down, training programs, and even a therapy section for the spider-people who recently got their canon event.
You landed on the floor and looked around the large space, you spotted her sitting down next to a plant with her favourite pink cardigan and her watch flipped open. You snuck behind her while she looked down on the gizmo, scaring her in the process. She suddenly yelped.
“Jesus Christ—Y/N, that scared me.” Gwen sighed, while you laughed.
“My bad— your spider-senses didn’t go off?” you asked before she shook her head. Her expression then changed into a bright one.
“Can’t believe I’ll go back again!” Gwen smiled and giggled while you gave her a smug look. She slightly blushed before coughing. “T-To catch the Spot, duh,” she responded and looked away. You playfully rolled your eyes.
“Yeah, yeah, sure,” you giggled. Your eyes wandered back to her flipped watch before they grew wide. “You serious? You got the two of you as your wallpaper too?” You teased before Gwen quickly flipped it closed, looking around frantically. It was the picture she showed you a long time ago when Gwen and her friend took a picture together while she ended up in the wrong dimension.
“Huh? Me? don’t know what you’re talking about.” She said, playing dumb before she quickly opened up another portal using the gizmo. The bright orange hexagons grew bigger and rotated very slowly. The blonde-haired girl looked back at you excitedly. "C'mon, let’s go!” She smiled before stepping in, not giving you a chance to speak.
"Geez, I guess she really misses him,” you shrugged before jumping in as well.
Tumblr media
The afro-haired teen had his headphones on, trying to relax after a small argument with his parents. Now, he’s grounded but who do they think he was? He was spider-man for God’s sake. He can’t be grounded. Miles was lying down on his bed with his arms behind his head. His eyes were closed and his head occasionally but slowly moved to the rhythm of his music, it was his comfort after all.
Yet he didn’t seem to notice some of his things started to float mid-air. They circled around his room before black bubbles and colourful light started to form just above him. The portal opened as it revealed you and Gwen. She had an excited look after seeing her friend near after two years. You, on the other hand, were just looking down, wondering when he’ll notice the two of you.
”Miles! Miles!” Gwen called out, trying to get his attention. In confusion, Miles slowly opened his eyes to the familiar voice. He thought he was seeing things until he did see Gwen. He quickly took off his headphones and sat up. “Gwen! H-How—” He stuttered, perplexed to see her after such a long time. She then dropped down next to him on his bed, her legs crossed.
“How’d you get here— oof-!” Miles tried to speak again until the blonde-haired girl quickly hugged him. He hugged her back as well, still bewildered. He then noticed you dropped down the portal as well. It closed before you landed on his floor easily, not making so much noise.
You took off your mask, revealing your face to him. You flashed him a small smile. Even though you knew why Miguel was infuriated when the name Miles would leave someone’s mouth, mostly Gwen, he was still another spider-man that you had respect for since he was Gwen’s friend. His mouth slightly gaped when he saw you.
“My bad, my bad, didn’t mean to appear all of a sudden,” you said before Gwen pulled away from the hug and introduced the two of you. “Y/N, Miles, Miles, Y/N,” She quickly said while you just nodded, His expression slightly softened as he just nervously smiled at you.
"Yeah, hi, nice to meet you,” you smiled.
“Nice to meet you too?” Miles nervously responded. Before it could get awkward between you three, you looked behind you, noticing his open bedroom window. You looked back at Gwen. “You can stay here, Gwen; I’ll handle things while you catch up with your friend,” you suggested while she stood up from the bed, puzzled.
“Wait— you sure? You know we can do that later.” Gwen said, referring to the mission, while you nodded your head, reassuring her by patting her shoulder. “Yeah, I’m sure it’s alright,” you grinned, looking back at Miles and then at her. “Don’t want to miss this opportunity, no?” You teased, your hand slowly retracting from her shoulder while she slightly blushed. You turned back to his window, jumping off his bedroom window. You shot a web from your fingertips and quickly swung yourself away. Gwen watched while Miles looked out the window, his gaze finding you as he admired how quick and talented you were at moving swiftly through the air.
“Dang, she’s good,” Miles pointed out while Gwen nodded, looking back at Miles as the two of them smiled. They were happy to see each other again after so long.
Meanwhile, you continued to swing away until you were out of sight of any civilians as you climbed up a high building. You were standing by the edge of the building’s roof, walking around as you looked over to your watch to see where this Spot could be. You sighed and took off your mask, slightly frustrated to not find anything before Lyla’s hologram appeared out of sight.
"Heeeey, Y/N, how’s the mission?” She asked with a grin, spinning on her virtual chair, which was the same size as hers. You grumbled.
“I can’t find the Spot’s location,” you admitted, sighing from how annoyed you were. “Got any idea where he could be?” You asked the AI before she hummed, thinking about it with her tiny finger tapping on her chin. Her hologram flickered before she summoned a 3D model of the entire map of Earth 1610’s Brooklyn with all of its avenues, streets and even shop names. She zoomed into the new hologram, revealing a building made out of bricks under a few overpasses. A few other shops surrounded it, as well as a small highway. Some of its windows were oddly broken and covered with a partially dirty cloth as a barrier.
The small AI manipulated the three-dimensional screen easily, zooming into the broken glass as the screen changed again. Inside the building was a messy room, with wires, confusing machines, and more technical equipment around the shelves and floor. The room was completely unorganized and clearly dimly lit.
“Looks like he worked for Alchemax before,” Lyla pointed out, taking a look at the equipment. "Even one of them has a logo," she observed as she leaned down to inspect the equipment components.
“Is this the Spot’s place?” You asked, then returned your gaze to the floating AI. She nodded her head in response.
“Scanned the area earlier when I zoomed in and saw his driver’s license on the table. It’s expired, but got his information,” she explained, her tone playful as if she found it all too easy. She then displayed a screen of an image of the Spot’s driver's license it had his name, age, address and more information. With two of your fingers, you zoomed out of that screen as you looked back at the hologram of the building, which you concluded to be his apartment. “Plus— the area’s full of dark matter,”
“I’ll get going,” you responded once you had your information, sliding your mask back onto your face before the hologram flickered to a close.
“Bu-byeeee~” Lyla grinned before her figure also disappeared. You flipped the watch back to a close before you swiftly jumped down the building and shot a web mid-air, propelling yourself to the Spot’s location.
You jumped from the tall skyscraper while shooting webs into the air to propel you into the sky without attracting any attention. The cool air hit your masked face until you descended, turning gracefully but quickly onto the roof of the building. You walked to the edge and stuck to the wall to get inside through the broken glass.
You slipped in easily as you observed the area. It was an apartment room. Though it was dimly lit, you noticed papers scattered on the table, some of them close to falling down. You lifted your mask up to your head to get a clear view of your surroundings, some of your bangs escaping to the sides of your face and forehead. With your gloved hands, you picked up the papers, skimming through them.
Reports, hypotheses, notes, and more... one thing they all had in common was a connection to multiverse matter or the concept of bringing back different entities from other universes. They weren’t all from Johnathon, aka Spot necessarily, most of them were reported by different scientists, especially from the well-known Olivia who was the head of the whole collider project back then, which caused a misbalance in the entire multiverse. You threw the papers back onto the table's surface before looking around again. You noticed some mechanics in the corner, concealed by a metallic closet. You leaned down and picked one up, noting that it also had the Alchemax logo until you noticed a small post it attached to the back. You ripped it off the mechanic, reading it.
“This isn’t the villain of the week—maybe five months, but still…” you mumbled, pulling your mask back on before you rummaged through your pockets, taking out the small spider Jessica gave you earlier. It automatically opened and summoned out its miniature legs after you tossed it against the wall. It then dug its legs into the brick and camouflaged really well.
“Gotta alert Gwen about this..” you mumbled. You quickly flicked a web out of your fingertips as it shot through the window. You flew out once again, swinging away faster and faster. You were again back in the metropolitan area, gliding through the air while your eyes wandered around trying to find Gwen. You assumed she was still at Miles’ apartment.
You swung down when you saw his apartment complex, noticing on the building’s rooftop there was loud music and lots of parked cars outside next to the road. You guessed that his family had a house party; the familiar smell of Puerto Rican food may sound good, but you knew you had to find Gwen quickly. When you landed back on the wall, you peeked through Miles’ bedroom window only to find no one inside, only Gwen left her cardigan on his bed.
“Fuck— where is that girl?” You sighed, shooting out another web atop the building beside his apartment. You gracefully landed on its rooftop before you flipped your watch open, trying to contact her. Unfortunately, it showed a hologram that said contact is on; do not disturb.
You grew more frustrated before turning the hologram to a close. You sighed and paced around on the rooftop. You wondered where she could be. Confused, you opened your gizmo back up again, speaking through Lyla.
“Hey Lyla- sorry to interrupt, got any idea where Gwen is? If so just send the coordinates, I can handle it,” you spoke as the AI’s hologram flickered again. She tried to find her location via watch but then she sighed.
“Sorry Y/N, she’s on do not disturb apparently,” the brunette replied before you grunted. “Can you turn it off?” You asked until she shook her head no. “Nah, I can’t get deactivate anything during a mission, just the policy aaand, you know, Mig’s rules,” She explained while you got more frustrated.
“How is that even a thing— what the hell..” you groaned. “Can you ask Miguel to let this be an exception?” you questioned Lyla again. “Miguel’s not in right now, busy with another mission,” she responded.
“Knew you’d say that.. always the busy guy.. whatever, thanks Lyla,” you sighed before she disappeared once more, leaving you alone once more on the rooftop. You were so frustrated by Gwen’s absence; where the hell could she be? If not with Miles then where was she? Your thoughts came to a halt when your spider-senses made you turn around. You noticed someone dressed as spider-man with a black and red coloured suit. You raised an eyebrow as you walked over to them discreetly.
They noticed you as their spider-suit’s goggles slightly widened. “Woah- you got fast spider-senses,” the recognizable voice said, staring at you.
“Wait— Miles?” You asked before he nervously chuckled and took off his mask in front of you, his Afro popping out as he looked more buff with the black spider-suit on. It matched him a lot. “What’re you doing here?” You curiously asked, also taking off your mask to see him clearly.
“Me and Gwen was swingin’ around the city and just wanted to let you join,” he responded, looking down at you since he was taller. “We didn’t get a proper chance to talk right? Just wanted to make ya feel included..” he continued, noticing how he was getting nervous when he noticed you didn’t respond.
“Sorry— kinda busy..” you mumbled, looking back down to your watch to see if Gwen finally put that stupid do not disturb function off. She unfortunately didn’t. You were always the chatty type but now wasn’t the time now that you were dealing with a soon-to-be anomaly who knows how to travel through other dimensions. Miles’ eyes softened, he just really wanted to be accepted as another spider-man or as a friend.. but you had other priorities. He was disappointed but hid it well enough, not wanting to worry you. He was silent until he had an idea in mind.
“With what? I mean I can help ya. I know Brooklyn like the back of my hand,” Miles stayed optimistic, wanting to be of assistance. You already knew about Brooklyn's map thanks to Lyla, but you could see that despite not knowing anything about you, he merely wanted to help. You could see yourself in him, as you would always strive to help Miguel in any way you could, even though he was the epitome of independence. Miles also wanted to prove his usefulness in this society Gwen just recently talked about while the two of them were swinging through the city… so he could see her more often... but oh how difficult would it be for him? He spotted the gadget on your wrist and then pointed to it.
“Yeah- uh.. pretty crazy phenomenon right? Travelling to a different universe without your atoms glitching like crazy..” you responded, showing him your wrist as he came closer.
“How’d you get this?” He asked, his hands slowly inching closer to yours to hold the watch with his fingers. You almost flinched and he noticed. Ever since your canon event, you could never rest easy with physical touch.
“You good Y/N?” He inquired, a little worried as his fingers almost retracted. You shook your head.
“Sorry, sorry— my bad, but I’m okay don’t worry bout it,” you reassured as you moved your wrist closer to him, letting him hold your hand to inspect the watch. “As for how I got it.. from where we’re from, we earn them,” you answered truthfully. His hand moved from your forearm to your hand, gently holding it up. You also couldn’t help but notice how his thumb slowly caressed your knuckles, was he trying to be nice or was it just out of habit? You definitely had no clue.
“Who gave it to you?” Miles replied, still holding your hand delicately. He seemed so interested in its design and advanced technology on the orange screen. It resembled to nothing from his dimension nor has he seen anything like it. So small yet intriguing.
“My mentor, Miguel O’hara,” you answered. “He’s like the leader of the entire spider-society Gwen and I are in. It’s pretty cool if you ask me,” you rambled, sharing more than enough.
“Gwen never told me about it..” He muttered, carefully tapping a few buttons to see its functions. You couldn’t see his expression since his head was down, still looking at the screen, before he faced you with a small smile. “What’s it gonna take for the Miguel O’hara to meet Miles Morales?” The tall black teen joked but genuinely asked. You on the other hand didn’t know what to say. There was an explanation for why he couldn’t join but you didn’t want to cause any trouble between the two of them. You gulped down the built-up saliva in your mouth out of nervousness.
“I mean.. if you tryna join… how about we try to catch some criminals on the way while we try to find Gwen? I’m not like- fully certain but maybe after I can put in a good word?” You suggested to try and change the topic as you put your forearm down once he was done inspecting the gizmo. Miles’ smile grew, he wasn’t opposed to the idea and wanted to get to know you better. “Sure, why not? Watch me put ‘em in place,” He replied with a confident smirk before you chuckled.
Your watch then beeped. Your back faced him as you turned around to check what news it had for you. The spider that camouflaged into the wall was recording the Spot’s messy apartment and analyzing his figure. You turned it into a mini hologram, watching in full effect what was happening in that room.
The Spot was walking around in his room, moving box from box to a specific area with mechanics and more collider parts you recognized.
“Oh shit..” you cursed under your breath when you saw how close he was to building the mini-collider.
“Everything okay?” Miles asked, about to peek over your shoulder before you quickly moved away. He slowly retracted, noticing how you flinched as if you were uncomfortable, but you weren’t focused on him anymore.
“Gotta go for now Miles, we can fight those criminals later alright? Sorry ‘bout the trouble,” you apologized quickly as you then put your mask back on. You approached the ledge of the rooftop and were about to jump off the building to swing to the Spot’s location immediately. A frustrated and concerned look was on Miles’ face. The young spider-man just wanted to help yet you continued to push him away. With an annoyed expression, he watched you leave so quickly with your webs. You were so quick, agile and so elegant in the air that he could tell you were much more experienced than him despite being the same age.
Once he was far enough for you to notice, he shot webs and swung himself in your direction almost immediately. It started to get dark as his black spider-suit blended in well with the atmosphere. The black lenses on his mask narrowed as he was more focused on catching up on you. Miles wasn’t dumb enough to believe that Gwen didn’t come back just to visit him, there was at least something else you and her had to worry about.
He saw you shooting out multiple webs under a metro railway from your fingertips as you pulled yourself up with the almost transparent strong strings. Like a flash of light, he saw you dash through in between a train’s cabins. Miles almost thought you got run over until he swung over the railway, you weren’t there like you disappeared. “Damn this girl’s fast…” Miles grumbled, trying to retrace his steps while looking around to try and find you. His stomach dropped at the thought of you finding out he was following you so he turned invisible quite easily just to make sure.
Even when invisible, it seemed like you didn’t let your guard down at all as he still couldn’t find you. He kept asking himself where you could possibly be or why you were here in the first place. There was something wrong but he had no clue of what it could be. He tried to retrace your steps by finding your webbing but they all disintegrated too fast. They’d all fall on the ground and slowly disintegrate since you were in the wrong universe. Frustrated, he almost thought of turning back and going back home until he noticed someone swing through the air as well. He saw the familiar spider-suit, it was Gwen.
Her mask concealed her face as she landed near a pillar supporting the overpass close to the Spot’s apartment. A few meters away, Miles landed on top of a street lamp, discreetly looking at the situation beforehand. There were corps surrounding the apartment with lights flashing to the holes in the walls.
“Shoot..” Gwen mumbled under her breath, in worry she was too late. She rapidly shot a web into the police officer's car, causing it to reverse before swinging inside the building with ease. Miles, on the other hand, quickly followed.
Inside the apartment was a whole mess, messier than before like a tornado merely broke down the building. Gwen stepped inside, looking around to find out what happened with a concerned look behind her mask. She then proceeded to scan the area using the multiversal gizmo while Miles hid behind the air ducts, making sure he wasn’t under the orange light that could point him out.
She looked around, noticing the Spot’s personal belongings like a portrait with Olivia, the spiders he brought from different dimensions, and such. When the scanning was finally complete, the spider-woman then started to replay the entire scenario. The orange light orbs turned back in her direction as they flickered a display of holograms in front of her to show what just happened. “Oh no no no..” She mumbled under her breath as she watched the scene play out visually while Miles carefully eavesdropped.
“Just need to get somewhere with a full-sized giant collider..” The Spot talked to himself as he continued to assemble his small micro-collider. It started to power up, creating dark energy from its sources. “Alriiiight, this’ll work, it’ll be good!” The faceless human optimistically said as he prepared to put his index finger into the dark matter the mini-collider was forming. He whistled as he was about to put it in until he stopped. “Or- I don’t know, might vaporize me and this entire building, which would not be good” He carelessly shrugged.
“Oh shoot..” Gwen muttered while Miles continued to watch as well, witnessing how far his villain of the week was going just to defeat him. They saw how he was getting so close to inserting his finger through the dark hole until multiple webs were wrapped around him, quickly taking him down.
You swung through the mess as you appeared just in time before the Spot could ruin himself with the dark energy. With a quick tug of your webs, you pulled him up from the floor and threw him at the other side of the room with only your hand. The Spot was launched back, breaking multiple walls in the process before he groaned in pain and looked up at you. “Wait— huh? Spider-man? But a woman?” he asked, perplexed as he thought you were his original nemesis. You had your back turned, paying attention to the collider more than him.
“Fuck this is dangerous..” Your eyes narrowed at the sight of the dark matter almost consuming the entire mini-collider, making it impossible to turn it off or break. You were about to inspect it until a sudden punch to the stomach made you nearly spit out saliva out of your mask. It just came out of nowhere through the black hole in front of you. You grunted when you realized it was all Spot’s doing.
“Yeah— sorry, can’t turn it off now huh?” the Spot laughed before it teleported so quickly behind you. His arm then made its way to your neck before he lifted you off the ground, making you choke. “Let go of me weirdo!” you yelled and rapidly kicked him off of you, causing him to almost lose balance. He growled under his breath, sick and tired of being tossed around like a weakling.
Creating a portal, he aggressively punched you through it before you stepped back once it hit your stomach again. He teleported back in front of you when you knelt down and held your stomach in pain. You tried crawling away until he grabbed your neck and shoved you down the floor repeatedly. “I’m tired of being treated like a fucking joke.” He spat as his voice turned deep, distorted and twisted. You winced, trying to push him off with your hands until he gripped your wrists as well. He saw how you had a weird watch on your wrist until his attention turned to the small gadget.
“Ohhh.. what’s that? Pretty interesting..” He sarcastically pointed out before he punched its screen. “Oops,”
“N-No!” You screamed when you saw its screen broken. The gadget started to malfunction, making distorted sounds as well.
“N-nnggh.!” You yelped when he choked you while lifting you up again. He threw you to the wall as you landed on top of the table full of collider parts that pierced through your skin. The Spot then turned back to the mini collider, shoving his hand into the dark energy. It started to absorb him as it generated more spots on his body. You tried to shoot webs to pull him back from the dark power until he was completely absorbed, pulling you into the void as well.
“Shoot..!” Gwen widened his eyes in fear as Miles continued to watch your hologram get sucked in by the dark matter. Once you were pulled in, the replay was complete.
“Oh shoot, shoot, shoot, shoot, shoot!” The spider-woman panicked, realizing how bad the situation was. You were in another universe, with no gizmo to help you call for backup nor any help. It was only a matter of time until you would suffer from glitching.
‘Y/N..’ Miles thought of your name, concerned and puzzled of why Gwen was panicking like crazy. She was shaking her head, trying to deny that wasn’t what happened until she took off her mask, breathing heavily out of panic.
With a problem like this, she definitely didn’t know how to solve it..
Tumblr media
You blinked in and out of consciousness before you tried to get up only to collapse back to the floor when your back ached. You looked behind you and saw what you were crashed into, a truck. You looked up as you saw it was raining steadily. That was weird, you don’t remember it already raining when you just collapsed for a minute.
Once you managed to sit up, you realized this place wasn’t familiar at all. You shot a web as you landed on top of a building where you could see everything. But in the end, you didn’t understand.. why was the billboard Japanese.? Or why were there so many Japanese commercials on the skyscraper screens?
“Where am I?”

spider boy — spider-man!midoriya izuku x reader
synopsis:   you’ve talked to your neighbor a few times before and have waved at him on campus. But you’ve noticed he keeps really weird hours, sometimes hearing him go into his apartment at ungodly hours of the night. So when spider-man enters your apartment one night, it’s easy for you to connect the dots from there.
content warnings: mentions of blood/injuries, hints of angst, hurt/comfort
wc: 3.1k
author’s note: I believe in spider-man!deku supremacy :)
part 1 of the spider boy series
Tumblr media
“Spider-man does it again! Only three blocks from the UA university campus, the masked hero—”
“You’re a spider-man fan?”
You jumped, almost dropping your phone and falling off of the bench in the process.
“Midoriya! You scared me.”
He laughed and you paused the video you were watching, a news clip from this morning. He settled down beside you on the bench, taking a sip of his iced coffee as he did.
“Yeah, I guess I am a fan,” you said. “Campus PD sucks and I think it’s funny a spider guy is more reliant than all of them put together.”
You both shared a laugh.
“I have to get to class,” Midoriya sighed, not making any movements to get up from the bench. “How’s Moony?”
“She’s great, thanks for asking,” you said, smiling back at him. Because Midoriya was the definition of a perfect neighbor. He had introduced himself when you first moved in and he saw the small cat carrier with a little black kitten, Moony, inside of it. From there it had been a pleasant acquaintanceship between the two of you.
“I’ll see you later, then,” he said, really standing up this time. “Bye!”
You waved goodbye as he left, then turned back to the video.
A thief had been running loose on campus for the last week, snatching cell phones and wallets from unsuspecting students on their way to class. Campus PD had found the thief this morning, literally on their doorstep with a sticky note that had a spider sketch stuck on his face.
A smaller feat of Spider-Man’s, but a good one nonetheless.
During your first lecture of the day you could see other people were watching the same video and reading the accompanying article. It was the first time Spider-Man had acted so close to campus, practically on the grounds of it considering where he had turned in the thief.
The person in front of you had a Reddit post pulled up, and you had to bite your cheek to refrain from laughing as you read the title. Spider boy or whatever is totally a UA student. Here’s my proof!!!!
Finding the professor’s lecture increasingly dry and dull, you decided to pull up the Reddit tab on your own laptop so you could read it, too.
By the time the lecture was over you had read the entire post (it was surprisingly long) and all of the comments underneath it, half-convinced of the theory yourself. It made some reasonable arguments—Spider-Man stuck to the surrounding city, usually went around at night, rarely seen throughout the day—keeping with the schedule of a college student. Sticking to the surrounding city pointed to the fact that he lived near campus. And the latest crime he’d solved was the cherry on top, because the alerts about it had gone out to all campus members since the incidents were contained to the campus.
The dull lecture came with dull readings, which you idly flipped through later that night. It was nearing 1 am, but sleep had not yet found you, and even the reading was not putting you to sleep.
You must’ve dozed off on your tiny kitchen table, Moony curled up on the chair next to you, because her surprised meow and the sound of a door closing close by woke you up a few hours later. Your phone lit up with an email notification (professors were truly unhinged with their work hours) and you were able to see the time without lifting your head up from the table. 4 am.
The door that had closed and woken you and Moony up had been Midoriya’s, you realized even in your half-asleep state. Occasionally the sound would wake you up, but you never minded it much and usually rolled over and fell back asleep.
This time you had to drag yourself over to your bed, and you could vaguely hear Midoriya moving around next door. What business he had this early in the morning you never knew. He seemed pretty normal, and you always assumed he was fond of late library study sessions. Even if it was not exactly exam season. But then again, he was a biochem major, you mused.
You fell asleep wondering about this and woke up five hours later to the sound of your blaring alarm. It snapped you awake, enough to hear a thud from next door. Did Midoriya fall out of bed?
The day passed as usual. You went to class, took half-hearted notes (it was hard to focus at this point in the semester—everyone was already burnt out) came home and ate dinner with Moony, and cuddled up on the couch together to do your readings.
This time you were ready to pass out outside of the warm embrace of your bed, so you’d done your nightly routine and brought over blankets to the couch, ready for sleep to come whenever it was ready.
The sound that woke you up this time was much louder. And Moony hissed.
She never hissed.
You froze from your curled-up position on the couch, eyes still heavy with sleep and senses scrambling to catch up with your brain and racing heart. The coffee table was right across from you, and by some miracle, you’d been sipping on a lemonade earlier—one in a glass bottle.
As swiftly as you could, you untangled yourself from the blankets and grabbed the lemonade bottle, wielding it in front of you like a sword.
It slipped from your grasp when you saw who was standing in front of you, next to your open window you always kept closed, scared Moony would climb out.
As if on reflex, as if he expected you to drop your weapon, Spider-Man shot a web just as it slipped from your fingers, catching it in his hands before you could even register you had dropped it.
Moony, who had been very annoyed at being woken up just a minute ago, was now rubbing her head on his shins affectionately.
“Moony,” you whispered. “Get away from him.”
“It’s okay!” Spider-Man said, mirroring your whisper. “I’m not here to hurt anyone.”
You narrowed your eyes. “Then why did you break into my apartment?” You looked around for your phone, or another potential weapon. Instead, your gaze found the small digital clock you kept on a shelf near the door, the bright green numbers clearing away the fogginess of sleep.
It was 4am.
You could not help the gasp that escaped you.
“Midoriya?”
The effect was instantaneous. Spider-Man’s entire body language changed, that much you could tell, even in the dark. He took a step away from you, back toward the window, shoulders tense.
“What?” he said. Trying hard to keep his voice steady, even deepening it a little. But you knew it was him.
“Did you think this was your apartment?” You were connecting the dots now. “This is why you always come back so late.”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” he said, inching towards the window. “I just got a little lost. Thought this place was empty.”
“You’re bleeding,” you said, pointing at the gash in his arm as though he had not noticed it himself. “Why’re you bleeding?”
Moony meowed, as though echoing your question. She was still close to him, and leaned forward to rub her head against his shin again.
This seemed to break him—his shoulders drooped and he let out a long exhale. He reached up and pulled the mask off, and you gasped again.
The left side of his face was covered in bruises, his eye starting to swell a bit. He looked like he was on the verge of tears, glancing down at Moony.
“Smart cat. She recognized me.” You winced and instinctively moved toward him when he tried to smile and grimaced at the action.
“Sit down, please,” you said, remembering to speak quietly. “You can’t die in my apartment. You can’t.”
“I won’t,” he said, letting you manhandle him into sitting on the couch. “Promise.”
“If you thought this was your apartment you’re definitely concussed,” you said, reaching up to move his curls aside, careful not to touch his face. The bruises covered his entire left side, also the side his arm was bleeding. “What happened to you?”
You snatched your hand away when he realized he was frozen, eyes to the side where your hand was.
“I got thrown into a wall,” he said, smiling again. A smaller grimace this time. “I’m really sorry.”
“You’re sorry for being thrown into a wall?” You shuffled to the kitchen to grab the tiny first aid kit you kept there. It was dusty and unused and consisted mainly of bandaids, something you started laughing at a little hysterically as you opened it on the couch, in between you and Midoriya. He’d leaned back onto the couch, breathing evened out. He was lying so still you thought he was sleeping, until he turned his head to see what you were laughing at.
“I only have bandaids,” you said, still laughing a little. “I’m sorry.”
“Oh,” he said. “Oh, I didn’t mean…” he started laughing. Quietly, then a little louder until you were both giggling and suppressing loud laughs.
“It’s okay,” he said, catching his breath again. “Can you help me get to my place? I’m used to patching myself up.”
It took five minutes, but eventually, you both managed to get out your front door, coaxing Moony to stay inside. Midoriya had one of his arms draped around your shoulder, keeping him upright. He had reassured you plenty of times as you both shuffled out the door that he was fine, he had been through worse. Which only made you feel worse.
His apartment was the exact same layout as yours, though a little messier, which he apologized for. There were notes all over his kitchen table, his couch was covered in blankets. You had a feeling he was prone to falling asleep all over his apartment like you did.
“Thank you,” he said once he had settled down on his couch. “I’m really sorry, again.”
“I know,” you said, sitting down beside him. You stared at the clock directly across from you, above his small TV. “I’m sorry for figuring out who you are.”
Another small laugh from him. “S’okay.” he shifted to look at you, and you mirrored him. It would have felt awkward being this close to someone you knew more in passing a day ago, but you felt as though this entire experience had automatically made the two of you friends. A trauma bond, of sorts. “You won’t tell anyone?”
You smiled back at him. “Promise.”
You didn’t remember getting back to your apartment, only that it took a lot of convincing on Midoriya’s part. The second you woke up (on your couch) you rushed to get out the door and knock on Midoriya’s until he opened, if anything to confirm you had not dreamed anything that had happened. But before you could get your slippers on, you saw a small note on the floor in front of the door.
Two spiders drawn holding hands, with “friends?” written underneath.
You slid it back under his door with your own addition — a drawing of a cat and “friends” written underneath his question.
——— * * * ———
“Trauma bond?”
“Yeah,” you said, shoving at his shoulder and ignoring his fake wince. “Am I wrong?”
“No,” he agreed, petting a meowing Moony in his lap. He was frowning down at her, and you had been around him long enough to know something was wrong.
It had been over a month since the break-in incident (which Midoriya was still apologizing for) and you had grown used to each other’s company. It had started off small—seeing him in the library during the day, studying quietly next to him. Stifling your laughter when he slid a spider doodle across the table to you.
After that, you noticed him around campus more often. You had always greeted him when he crossed your path, stopping to make small talk. But now you actually talked about things of substance. Setting up study sessions, inviting him over to play with Moony, exchanging recipes and even starting to cook at each other’s apartments.
“Is my pasta not good?” you said. Moony meowed, echoing your question from his lap.
“It could use some pepper,” he said, smiling teasingly at you. “No, it’s good. Just a rough night.”
“Wanna talk about it?” you said.
“S’okay,” he said. “We’re trauma bonded enough.” You felt a pang of guilt at the sadness in his tone.
“Midoriya—”
“Thank you for the pasta,” he said. “I can help with the dishes.”
“I’m sorry,” you said. “You know we’re friends friends, right?”
He nodded. “I’m messing with you.”
“You little shit!” he laughed as you set your dishes down in the sink, shoving him slightly. He smiled slyly at you. He seemed like the perfect boy next door, but he was really a little shit. And he was the perfect boy next door.
“I haven’t heard you come back late in a while,” you said. He turned to look at you from his place at the sink, eyebrows raised.
“You wait up for me?”
“No!” you said indiginantly. “It just used to wake us up.”
“Really? I’m sorry.”
“S’okay,” you said. “But you have to wake me up if you’re hurt really bad, okay? Even if it’s just to sit with you.”
A small noise of acknowledgement from Midoriya.
“What was that?”
“Promise.”
Satisfied, you got up from your place at the table, letting him finish up the dishes. “Are you going out tonight?”
“Yeah,” he said. “Sorry in advance about the early morning wake up call.”
He still would not tell you where he went. But the news reports the next day served as the answers to your questions. A crime solved here, a criminal turned in there. The Spider-Man news page, ran by dedicated fans, was bookmarked on your computer and one of your most visited tabs. On nights when you couldn’t sleep and didn’t know where he was, you would refresh it every few minutes, waiting for an update.
Sometimes he would go during the day, and when you would get back from class he would be there on your couch with Moony, napping. You would sit on the opposite end and wait for him to wake up, then decide on what to make for lunch together. Not talking about the new bruise on his arm or the new cut on his leg. If he brought it up you knew it was okay to talk about it, but usually you both talked about normal topics. Avoiding the giant spider in the room.
“All done!” he said, falling down on the couch beside you. Reaching to pet Moony, who was cuddled up on your lap. Arm muscles flexing, hands softly running through Moony’s fur. It was becoming increasingly difficult to ignore how jacked he was. Especially when he was literally always stripping in your apartment, changing from his suit into his regular clothes. Letting you sneak glances at his back, his chest.
“Take a nap,” you blurted. “If you’re going to be out tonight. You need to rest.”
“I will,” he said, smiling up at you. “Don’t worry.”
“I’m not!” you said, huffing. “You better not visit me tonight. I expect you to kick ass and come back with no injuries.”
“‘Kay,” he said. “See you tomorrow?” You nodded and watched him dramatically sigh, throwing his head back on the couch before getting up and shuffling to the door.
The rest of your evening was spent anxiously trying to distract yourself. There was a nagging feeling in the back of your head, in the pit of your stomach. After finishing your homework and realizing it was hours before your usual bedtime, you cleaned your apartment. Reorganized, moved things around.
You decided to settle on the couch for the night. Better place to hear Midoriya come back.
The sound that jolted you awake a couple hours later was louder than usual, and it woke you up quicker. A quick glance at your clock let you know it was only 1am.
“Midoriya?” you said quietly, sitting up. “You okay?”
He was standing near your window, at almost the exact same spot as a month before, when he had first broken in.
“No,” he said. Voice hoarse and almost too quiet for you to hear.
You were up and leading him over to the couch in an instant. His mask was already off, clutched in between his fingers
“Are you hurt?” you said, patting down his arms and running your fingers over his face softly, scared to touch a bruise or aggravate a cut. A shake of his head.
You gently took the mask from him, setting it down on the coffee table with one hand, the other gripping his hands tightly. “Want to talk about it?”
He nodded, squeezing your hands back. “Later.”
“Okay,” you said, scooting closer to him on the couch so your shoulders pressed together. “I’m here, okay? It’s okay.”
You were ready when his shoulders started shaking and he slid into your hug, staining your shirt with his tears. You ran your hands through his hair, rubbing your fingers along the nape of his neck. Repeating the phrase over and over until it felt like you were trying to convince yourself of the same thing.
The bruises were on his side this time—no cuts deep enough to warrant him going back to his apartment to patch himself up. You helped him get his suit off slowly. The tears hadn’t stopped, and yours had started fifteen minutes after his. It hurt to see him like this and not know how to help. Knowing all you could do was help him get back to his apartment and keep his secret.
“Can I stay?” he said. He was holding the top half of his suit to his chest, hugging it.
“Yeah, course you can,” you said. “I’ll get you some clothes.”
Moony walked out of your room with an annoyed meow. She had been sleeping, but once she spotted Midoriya she happily sauntered over, already purring.
Once he had changed into the clothes his eyes started to droop, and you started convincing him to sleep in your room. He kept shaking his head, until he finally told you, “Don’t want to be alone.”
“Okay, I’ll stay with you,” you said. Slipped out so easily you had no time to realize you had said it until he nodded and you were walking into your room and settling under the covers, Midoriya turning to face you, lashes wet with tears.
“I’m not leaving,” you said, reaching to intertwine your fingers with his. “You’re okay. We’re okay.”
He blinked slowly at you, sleep making his eyes heavy. “Promise?”
“Promise.”

You end up being much later for class than you might have liked. So late, actually, that you don’t even have time to stop off at the bathroom before you head to your homeroom. As you slide open the massive door to the classroom, you’re left only to keep your head ducked and pray that the furious scrubbing you’d given your face on the walk over had erased any tear tracks left on your cheeks.
Fortunately for you, there are still a number of seats sitting empty in the classroom when you enter it, despite the time, so all eyes are not on you as you shuffle your way between the rows of desks and flop down into your own chair, letting your bag thump to the floor at your feet.
So far, your morning has been complete ass. For a multitude of reasons. And there’s an awful sick feeling churning around in the pit of your stomach that tells you things will probably only get worse from here.
Running into Midoriya on the train first thing in the morning after you’d left your house had not been a good omen for you. After his confession last night, you were left feeling even more on edge around him than normal. And that unease had unsettled you enough that when you accidentally bumped into Bakugou on your way up to the UA campus, you’d snapped up the bait he’d thrown for you at the first chance you got, with none of your usual thought towards the idea of being mature.
You’re still fuming over the situation. Bakugou’s hissed words continue to play like a broken record in your head, repeating themselves again and again and again, and you can’t help but glare as hard as humanly possible over Midoriya’s empty desk and right at the back of his stupidly blond, stupidly spiky-haired head, where he sits lounging like a smug-fucking-bastard at his own desk.
You want to throw something at him. Something very heavy. However, for once in a blue moon, Mr Aizawa is actually here before the bell, and you don’t think he’d take very kindly to having one of his students knocked unconscious by a textbook to the head right in front of him. Even if said student is the most self-righteous, stuck up, major, raging, incentive douchebag to ever walk this earth.
‘What the fuck even in his problem anyway?’ you think angrily to yourself as you sit glaring, quietly hoping your eyes will somehow burn a hole right through his thick skull. It’d been him who started it, of course. He had approached you, not the other way around. You’d just been minding your damn business before he swooped in, riding atop his stupid-fucking wave of a grudge from way back before elementary school, all high off the idea of making himself your biggest problem. “ I saw you sitting with that damn nerd on the train,” had been his exact words, which he’d spat right in your face once he’d pulled you from the throngs of people walking into school. “ He looks like shit, as usual. Fuckin’ hilarious.”
You still don’t know why you’d snapped back at him, telling him to shut the fuck up. But you don't think you regret it. You definitely don’t regret getting to see the flash of surprise that has sparked through his crimson eyes.
“You finally give in and suck his dick, then?” was his reply. “Wouldn’t be the first fuckin’ time.”
Just thinking about those words sends a chill through your stomach now. You don’t care. At least, you shouldn’t . Because it’s fucking Bakugou, of all people, the one guy who has a whole fucking reputation built on how much of an ass he is.
It does hurt though. Probably more because it does come from Bakugou, of all people. It hurts more than it should.
Thank goodness, before you psych yourself up so much that you do actually lob your textbook at his head, the classroom door slides open once again. Your attention turns at the sound and then quickly you duck your head down as much as you can when you catch a glimpse of forest green hair. As much as you’re sick of Bakugou right now, you’re even less prepared to deal with Midoriya and his friends. Especially after you have a fleeting suspicion that Midoriya might actually have seen you crying when you’d rushed past him in the hallway earlier. You refuse to make eye contact with him as he weaves his way through the desks before flopping into the one in front of you. You refuse to make eye contact with anyone, really, especially when you can feel another gaze burning into the side of your head. Uraraka is glaring at you, as she always does any time she sees you, and you're almost tempted to throw her the middle finger because she's really only adding insult to the injury of your already shitty day.
But then the bells ring out through the classroom and Mr Aizawa slowly gets to his feet. What little chatter that could be heard throughout the room dies off abruptly.
"Alright, settle down," your teacher grumbles out, as monotone as ever. You raise your head slightly to look at him properly and it's only now that you notice it - there's a huge cardboard box standing on the edge of his desk, large enough to easily fit at least three of your classmates comfortably inside it. There's no writing on the front, nothing to indicate what it may be for, but you can feel your heart sinking anyway as something deep down tells you it has everything to do with the project that you're partnered with Midoriya on.
You're not the only one who's noticed either. A chorus of whispers rustled through the students in your class, all of them eyeing up the box just as you are, curious expressions on their faces.
They shut up pretty soon though, when Mr Aizawa shoots everyone a dirty look.
"As you guys learned yesterday," he begins, glaring around at everyone. "You will all be participating in a project that will run from now, over the Christmas holidays and then on to the end of the year. This is an ongoing thing and it is not "- he shoots a very distinct look at Denki Kaminari, who sits in the middle aisle of desks, - "something you can just do at the last minute. Constant engagement is required throughout the process and you will be graded on whether or not you meet this requirement."
There are a number of small huffs that can be heard throughout the classroom, a few students scowling deeply and flopping back in their chairs. You almost feel sorry for them, but then you remember that you are going to have to spend consistent hours working with your partner. All your pity turns inwards.
"You were assigned your partners yesterday," Aizawa continues, sparing not a single glance for the people busy grumbling. "I trust that you all remember who you're working with because I don not have the time or patience to read it all out again."
He pauses, glaring around at his students and, thankfully, no one raises their hand to ask for confirmation. You see Mr Aizawa's shoulders visibly relaxing and then your entire mood perks up when he reaches out to pull the huge cardboard box a little closer towards him.
“Up until this point,” he starts, “UA has never placed much emphasis on home economics. This is a science school, and the primary focus throughout your three years here has been to prepare you all to enter your chosen STEM fields following graduation. However, as has been tradition for a number of years now, in an attempt to provide you with at least some basic life skills before you leave, you will be completing one final project for your home economics course.”
A number of your classmate look round, shooting confused looks to one another. You just roll your eyes, already completely over the entire proceedings. Mr Aizawa too, looks entirely bored.
“Frankly, I have always felt it’s a bit late to try and teach you soft skills during the final third of your last year of school,” he continues on, looking around the class. His gaze lingers on a certain few heads before he looks away. “You lot, especially, I think are past the point of no return. However, this project is a curriculum requirement and so we run it nonetheless.”
There are a few snorts to be heard around the classroom. Sero in particular actually chuckles. My Aizawa just shakes his head.
“I digress however, since I have seen some miraculous transformations come for students attitudes with the completion of this project. Now, does anyone have any questions before I get into the parameters of what you’ll be doing?”
No hands go up and you say a silent thank you that there aren’t any godforsaken souls within your class who are willing to drag the suspense out any longer. Mr Aizawa nods and then turns around. You watch curiously as he digs one hand into the large cardboard box, the air within the classroom suddenly going tense and suspenseful. Your mind flashes with a thousand possibilities, all ranging from building your own AI to concocting the cure for cancer to designing a new engine for next year's Formula 1 season.
But all your hopes are dashed when Mr Aizawa removes his hand and pulls out…
A plastic baby?
You feel your heart sinking immediately, tight down the length of your body until its puddled somewhere near your toes as your mind screams out fuck no! because you've heard of this project. And suddenly any hopes you'd had about maybe not having such an awful time with Midoriya as your partner are stomped into oblivion beneath Mr Aizawa's boot.
"This," your teacher says, holding up the baby for everyone in the class to see properly. "Will be your project for the next four months. You will need to take care of this mechanical baby."
He seems to feel you glaring at him like you're trying ignite every one of the brain cells in his head because he pauses and then gives a very stern look.
"I'd like to stress that the partners you've all been given are non-negotiable," he says and it's in his dont-you-fucking-dare-argue-with-me voice. "They have been chosen for a very specific reason and if you don't like your partner, you will just have to suck it up and deal with it."
You don't push him, although in your head you’re swearing up and down about all the horrible things you could do. Your hands ball into fists against the wooden top of your desk and then you turn your focus to Midoriya and wonder if you focus hard enough, you could cause him to spontaneously combust.
Stupid Midoriya, you think to yourself as your eyes trace the outline of his dark curly hair. Stupid project, study baby . You huff out a sigh and cross your arms angrily over your chest, still glaring. This assignment is so unrealistic anyway. There's no way you'd ever have a kid with that fuckhead, much less do anything that could result in having a child.
Although , another voice at the back of your mind whispers as you notice a flash of pale blond moving in front of Midoriya, the partners could be worse. You could be with Bakugou.
The thought just about makes you gag.
"The aim of this project is to try and simulate actual parenthood as closely as possible,” Mr Aizawa continues. “These babies are an incredibly advanced technology, engineered specifically for us by some students right here in our school. This will not be an easy assignment, I assure you, these things have been programmed to be as temperamental as possible.”
“So,” a new voice pipes up, one that you recognise as Denki Kaminari. You glance in his direction to see that he’s rocking back on his chair, head tilted to the side as he stares up at your teacher with an expression of mild apprehension. “Do they, like, cry and stuff?” Beside him , Eijirou Kirishima also looks petrified, eyeing the baby in Mr Aizawa’s grasp as if it’s some kind of bomb. You fight down the urge to laugh.
“The point of this project is to teach you how to look after something that is totally dependent on you," Aizawa replies. "Babies need everything from you but can’t communicate it, which is one of the main problems you will run into if you ever become a parent. So in answer to your question, Kaminari, yes, they will cry. For a multitude of reasons. Your biggest struggle will probably be figuring out what they need."
Kaminari slumps back, looking dejected. "Dude, I'm not ready to be a parent," he mumbles out, although it's loud enough for most of the class to hear him. There are a few resounding giggles.
On some level you agree with him, although you make sure not to let it show at all in your expression. Even despite who you have to do the project with, the assignment itself is daunting. Parenthood is not something you've ever taken a fuck ton of time to think about, beyond the occasional throwing a baby doll around when you were a toddler. You've been goal oriented since you first knew what a goal was and your goal -
Well, it's never been 'to be a mom'.
As you stare up at the baby Mr Aizawa is holding, taking in its - slightly creepy - realistically wrinkled face and the way its tiny body looks even smaller in the arms of your teacher, you can't help but feel…
You can't help but feel nervous.
As if he knows exactly what you're thinking, Midoriya spins in his chair the very second your face begins to crumble. You catch his deep green eyes beneath the fluff of his curls and yet, for one of the first times in years, you don't snap at him for looking at you. The pair of you hold each other's gaze for a long second before Midoriya offers you a reassuring smile. And to your surprise, it actually does its job.
"It'll be fine," Midoriya says quietly, so no one else can hear him through the rounds of chatter that are circling through the rest of your classmates. "It'll be exactly like playing house the way we used to when we were kids."
You snort bitterly at that, an eyebrow twitching. "So we're gonna be a big happy family?" you ask him, tilting your head a little to the side. By the look on Midoriya's face, he seems to understand how absurd the idea is. This little game of house couldn't get more dysfunctional if it tried and it hasn't even begun yet. But he smiles through it, even though you know that's exactly what he's thinking.
"Probably not," he says, but you can still see the sparkle in his bright green eyes. Something inside you sings. "But just… don't worry. It'll fine, okay? Promise."
"You can’t promise shit," you tell him grumpily, hastily looking away from him before your heart can do any more stupid things. "And I wasn't worrying."
He doesn't believe you and he actually laughs about it, prompting a fiery blush to rage through the skin of your cheeks. "Yeah sure," he tells you and then turns back around to face the front of the classroom again.
Unfortunately, Mir Aizawa starts speaking before you can snap back at him, so you're left to glare heartedly at the back of his head once again.
Stupid project, you think, Stupid baby. Stupid Midoriya.
Stupid stupid Midoriya.
"Unfortunately for you children," Mr Aizawa says, raising a hand to bring silence to the room once again. "Technology isn't advanced enough to create a entirely lifelike robot babies just yet. In reality, there are a hundreds of different reasons why a child might start crying. However, for the purpose of this project, there are only four."
He holds up four of his fingers for the class to see.
"The first," he begins, "is because they need their nappy changed." He reaches into the box again and pulls out a small zip-up pouch. "This is your baby bag. Inside if everything you will need to complete this project. Including reusable cloth nappies." He sets the baby down on the surface of the desk and opens up the bag, pulling out a bundle of white cloth.
"The dolls have sensors built into them which connect to sensors in the nappies," he explains. "These sensors will read whether the nappy is dirty or clean. Dirty nappies cannot be used more than once within a twenty four hour period. If you do use on, your baby will throw a fit and it will constitute a considerable deduction in points."  He glares round the class, his dark eyes settling on every student for a millisecond before flitting away. "So don't do that. The nappy will reset after twenty fours hours once it has been used. You need to keep track of this." He puts the ball of clothes back in the pouch and then swivels the entire thing to the side to show everyone a small pocket holding four baby bottles.
"The second reason your baby may cry is because it's hungry. Now, you won't actually feed them anything. These bottles are all empty. However "- he pulls one of the bottles from the pocket and twists it to show a strip of four lights that run up one side - "these will show you how full each bottle is. As the bottle is used, the lights will deplete and once the one at the bottom turns red, you will know the bottle is completely empty."
A hand goes up. It’s Uraraka, who's looking a little like she’s vibrating in her seat, in her eagerness to ask a question. You suppress the urge to roll your eyes and look away.
"Sir," Uraraka starts once Mr Aizawa nods in her direction. "Do the bottles also reset after twenty four hours? Or do we have to do something else to refill them?
"Good question," Mr Aizawa says and this time you do roll your eyes when a look of pride washes over Uraraka's face. "The bottles do reset, but it's after six hours instead of twenty four. You only have four bottles so you should arrange a system to cycle them, to ensure you can always feed your baby when it needs it."
As he puts the bottle back into its pocket, you chance another glance over at Uraraka. Only to be surprised when you find that she's already glaring right at you . Your gaze meets her for a moment and your eyes narrow as you try to figure out what the fuck her problem might be this time, besides her usual shitty attitude of course. But then you catch the way her eyes flickered briefly away from you to the boy sitting in the desk in front of you and your face curls into a smirk when you realise. Oh she's so jealous .
You flash her your most smug expression and make sure she sees it before you look away once again, switching your attention back to Mr Aizawa, who's picking up the baby again. Even as he raises it for the class to see, you can still feel her heated gaze on the side of your face and your heart sings with triumph.
"The third reason that your baby may cry," Mr Aizawa says, continuing with his explanation. "Is that they need to be held, or rocked." He gives Kaminari and Sero a sharp look. "There is a correct way to hold a baby. And if I see anyone swing swing their's around like a hooligan, I will fail you immediately." He shifts the baby in his arms, cradling it with one hand behind its head and the other arm tucked around its body. " This is how you need to hold your babies. It may seem complicated now but I'm sure you'll all get the hang of it relatively quickly. In the case of the third reason, you will hold your baby and gently rock it back and forth"- he demonstrates -"which should help to calm them down. The babies all have built-in motion sensors, so they will know if you're doing it properly. They also have audio sensors, which leads to the fourth reason they might cry. And you all need to pay attention very carefully for this one…"
It feels like the entire class leans forward, everyone hanging onto Mr Aizawa's every word. He shifts the baby in his arms, adjusting his grip before raising his eyes again to look around the classroom.
"Your babies need affection. Essentially, you need to talk to your kid."
He holds up a hand before questions can start rocketing, the energy within the classroom beginning to buzz as it becomes clear it's getting near to the end of the briefing. "Let me explain and then I'll send you all off to go and set up your babies. The babies are equipped with sensors all over their bodies. They also have recording devices in their backs." He turns the baby around to show the class. "To set your baby, you need to press this button here and then allow it to record you saying its name, as well as a few other phrases so it can learn to recognise your voice. Both you and your partner will do this. It will take a few minutes for your baby to calibrate and then the clock will start. From then on, your baby will record everything you say and do with it and will store that knowledge. At the end of the project, the chip inside the babies will be collected and then your progress will be graded out of 100 by an AI. Does everyone understand?"
There's a chorus of 'yes sirs’ throughout the class and Aizawa nods. "Do not forget," he says and his voice is serious as he looks around the room. "These babies are switched on constantly. You do not get a break from them, as with normal children. Even when they're asleep, they're recording. Am I clear?"
The affirmations ring out again. Aizawa turns to put the baby down on his desk once more. However, instead of reaching inside the box or the pouch again, he slides a large binder across the desk towards him and flips it open. As he begins to flick through it, searching for whatever he needs, you notice a twitch out of your peripheral vision. In front of you,Midoriya is backwards, just a little, not enough to be noticed by Mr Aizawa. However, when he turns his head to hiss something in your direction, you realise it's intentional.
"Have you got any name ideas yet?"
You don't. You haven't thought about it at all yet and even now as you try to wrack your brains, nothing comes to mind. You shake your head at Midoriya, frowning slightly.
"I guess we'll have to wait and see what the baby is like," you tell him quietly and he nods in agreement.
"I wonder if it'll look like either of us."
You can't help but snort at Midoriya's musing, trying your best to stifle the genuine bubble of laughter that rises in your throat. "These are plastic robots," you try to tell him sternly, however, the upward tilt at the corner of your mouth is giving everything away. "I doubt it'll look anything like either of us."
"It's nice to dream," Midoriya shoots back, however you don't miss the small smile that's stretching across his own face.
"Maybe we adopted," you tell him with a shrug of one shoulder. "Maybe your swimmers weren't swimmery enough."
That makes him laugh properly and he has to slap a hand over his mouth to stop his giggles from wringing out around the classroom. As it is, the nearest heads to you turn to eye you and him curiously, and you immediately purse your lips and force down your smile, in an attempt to look cool and composed once again.
Thankfully, Midoriya can't come at you with a comeback because Mr Aizawa raises his head, finally having located the thing he was looking for. He pulls a stack of papers from the folder and holds one up for you all to see - it's crisp and clean, evidently freshly printed, and covered with sprawls of neat black letters. You have a feeling you know exactly exactly what it is, and when Mr Aizawa opens his mouth to speak again, he confirms your suspicions.
"This is your baby's birth certificate," he announces. "You will each get one along with your baby and a bag. And you will all fill it out, with both you and your partner's details. I will be taking all of these back tomorrow morning once they're completed, so we can register your babies in our system. And I expect you to take this seriously." He gives Kaminari and Sero a purposeful look. "Try your best to think of this as real parenthood because if you do, there's a chance you'll be slightly better prepared in the future, if you ever do become parents." He sets the paper down and you tense immediately, realising you've finally reached the end of the explanation.
"I'm going to hand out your babies now," Mr Aizawa says, "along with everything you'll need. You'll have an hour and a half now to get yourselves sorted and then you'll go to the next period at 10. When I call your names, please can both you and your partner come up to collect your things. Then you're free to go outside and begin setting the babies up. Now - Iida and Yaoyorozu…"
You relax back into your seat and he begins to list off the partnerships. This project has turned out to be absolutely nothing like what you'd expected and if you're honest with yourself, you're pretty happy about it. Despite the fact that you now have to co-parent with Midoriya, this will probably turn out to be a lot easier than having to actively collaborate with the kid on classwork.
As you lounge in your chair, you hear the scrape of another being pushed back and then a figure is weaving through the tables towards you. A smile grows on your face when the person sits herself right on the surface of your desk, one leg crossing over the other.
"I am dreading this whole experience," Kyouka Jirou tells you dramatically as she glares out across the classroom. "I thought I could get away with just doing the whole thing myself while that dunce face just goofed off. But now I actually have to work with him."
You briefly remember the previous day, when Mr Aizawa had announced that Kyouka would be paired with Denki for this project, and the smile on your face grows wider.
"Aww," you tease, your eyes flicking upwards briefly to watch as Uraraka and Shinso rise to go collect their child. "Are you really going to dash poor Kami’s hopes so quickly? I'm sure he's delighted with this project."
Kyouka points a sharp black nail at you, her face dark red. "Don't you dare start," she hisses. "I know your opinions on this and I'm telling you right now you're wrong ."
You just laugh at her threat because you know her way too well for it to work. "You can't even deny it anymore," you tell her smugly. "That kid is head over heels in love with you and now you have to raise a child together. He's going to be so fucking giddy."
"Are we talking about Kaminari?" a new voice pipes up and you and Kyouka look up to see Mina Ashido grinning down at the pair of you. Her hands are on her hips and there's a triumphant look sparkling in her dark eyes as her gaze flicks from Jirou's grace over to yours and back again.
You smirk up at her smugly because you and her share the exact same opinions on the topic of Kyouka's life. "We are," you confirm for her. "You wanna take bets on how long it takes for him to make some joke about them having a kid?"
"Ooh, of course" Mina giggles, kicking her feet in amusement. She twirls one of her curls around her finger, sparkling pink nail flashing as she seems to think for a second. "I say… a red bean bun on less than ten minutes? Plus a soda if if he says something about it being fate."
You smirk up at her. "I'll bet on less than five minutes. Kaminari doesn't have that kind of restraint."
Her eyes glint and she slaps your outstretched palm. "Done."
Between you two, Kyouka gives an exaggerated roll of her eyes. "You two are so full of shit," she says, shaking her head. "He's not gonna -"
"Hey, Jirou!" There comes a yell from across the classroom and the three of you look up to see none other than Kaminari making his way between the desks in your direction. Kyouka cuts off her own voice when she sees him, her arms raising to cross over her chest and you can already feel your own smile growing, cruel and smug. That kid is way too predictable .
"What're the odds, huh?" Kaminari grins and leans one arm casually on the desk opposite your own. He's trying to be smooth, probably attempting one of the tricks that Sero taught him at some point to try and help his game. But he's also blushing. Furiously . And you have to slap a hand over your mouth to stifle your cackle of laughter.
"You and I…" Kaminari continues, pointing to Kyouka them himself. "Us two, having a child together. This must be a message from the universe, huh? That we're meant to be ."
You hear a muffled snort from somewhere behind him and glance over his shoulder to see Sero and Kirishima just about peeing their pants with laughter over at their own desks. From your other side, Mina sighs and your triumph grows when you realise she's going to be buying you lunch today.
"I mean, seriously!" Kaminari is still growing, obviously to the grave he's digging himself, and how Kyouka's glare is getting more and more violent. "Really, we might as well just get married now haha, what the point in waiting amirite?"
You honestly think Kyouka is about to snap his neck, and you don't doubt she really would have if Mr Aizawa didn't call her and Kaminari's names right then. You offer her a cheeky grin as she hops off your desk, to which she replies with a stiff middle finger and then storms off towards the front of the classroom, leaving Kaminari to stare blankly at the empty spot she'd just vacated.
Mina leans over to give him a back on the back. "Good effort," she tells him, although her tone is a little salty. "Although could you not have just waited like, nine and a half more minutes?"
Kaminari looks confused but Mina shoos him off before he can ask questions. And then, before she can spin around to start trying to back out of her deal with you, her own name is called, along with Todoroki’s, and she's forced to head up to the front to the classroom too, a pout heavy on her lips.
You lean forward on your desk again, watching her go with a smug smile on your face as you begin to dream of the bean bun you'll be getting come lunch time. However, as your elbows slide across the wood and your chin goes to rest against the cool surface, you make eye contact with the boy in front of you. Again.
"What'd you want?" you ask him, although it's not nearly as mean as it's supposed to be.
Midoriya just shakes his head and looks away. "Oh nothing;" he says, but he's smiling slightly. And you have a feeling he must've just seen the whole exchange. Your snort ends up muffled in your crossed arms.
You and him are one of the last pairs to be called, with only Bakugou and Asui left sitting at their seats. The rest of the desks have been vacated and when your names finally rings out, you have plenty of room to hoist your backpack up onto your shoulder as you move through the classroom, heading up towards Mr Aizawa’s desk. You have plenty of room but you decide to ignore it in favour of head straight up the aisle and knocking Bakugou's feet down from where they’re propped up on the surface of his desk as hard as you can.
You don't apologise even when you hear him let out a sharp growl, and as you flounce up to the front, you make a show of not acknowledging him either. It's probably very petty and childish, but it feels good to do, even when Mr Aizawa gives you as look when you finally go to stand in front of him.
"That was unnecessary," he tells you. You just shrug in return.
"I disagree."
"Just try not to cause trouble," your teacher sighs. Then he looks past you to where Midoriya has come to stand at your shoulder. "Between the two of you either," he adds and his expression is stern. "You were paired together for a reason and I trust you understand that."
You struggle not to roll your eyes and give him a tired look in return. "Are we really the kind of people who'd cause trouble?" you ask, sarcastic to the point that you can taste it on your tongue.
Thankfully Mr Aizawa doesn't miss that and he gives you a small shake of his head. "Very funny. Now…" he pulls the cardboard box towards him, which seems like a significantly easier job than when he'd first opened it earlier that morning. "Here is your bag," he says, reaching in and pulling out a pouch identical to the one he'd used in his demonstration. He hands it off to Midoriya behind you, who shoulders it with ease.
"And here…" he continues, reaching into the box again, "is your baby."
He gives the baby to you this time and you have barely a second after take it to stare down into its hard plastic face. Then your own expression crumbles.
"Are you fucking with me?"
Because the baby -
The baby looks like you and Midoriya.
And it’s fucking terrifying.
It's got a head of wild midnight green curls, the texture and shape of which matches your classmate's so perfectly it genuinely concerns you. You recognise Midoriya's eye shape too, round and wide with slightly downturned corners and thick heavy lashes. It's your own irises that stare back up at you though, glassy and unblinking, and way too fucking realistic.
The baby has your skin tone too, matched perfectly, and you're almost inclined to hold it out at arms length for a second because while you knew " having a child" with your childhood friend was gonna be bad, you never expected it to be this bad.
"Seriously," you mutter as your eyes rove over the grotesque sight. "What the fuck?"
"Language,” Mr Aizawa says, although it's half-assed. Then he sighs and rubs a hand over his face. "Look, I know it's a little…"
"Fucking creepy?" you supply and he gives you a scowl.
"Odd ," he says in emphasis. "But with the introduction of this project, it’s become a tradition for the second year robotics lab students to design the babies. We tell them the partners in advance and they all tend to go a little… overboard."
"You don't say," you mutter as you stare down at your baby again. It's not as if it looks bad or anything - in fact, the baby itself looks incredibly realistic, exactly what a hybrid of what you and Midoriya might be.  It's just…
"It's like this makes it real," you say, mostly to yourself, as you hold the baby up in the air. Even the weight mimics that of an actual newborn. "I… dammit, Deku!"
Midoriya starts when you turn to glare at him, eyes going wide as he throws his hands up in defence immediately. "What'd I do?!"
You don't answer him because you don't actually know yourself. You're just looking for someone to blame and despite the fact that he's in exactly the same boat as you are, he's the easiest victim.
"Here's your baby’s birth certificate," Mr Aizawa says, drawing both of your attention again before the atmosphere can thicken any further. "You'll need to complete it in full. And remember to name your baby before you set it up, because it'll need to register both of you saying it's name. There's a panel on the back that'll guide you in calibrating it."
You don't make a move to take the birth certificate, still too busy glaring daggers at the baby that's now balancing on your hip, so Midoriya reaches out instead. He shoots Mr Aizawa a smile of thanks as he does so, which you don't miss. Then the pair of you turn to begin walking towards the classroom door.
"Find somewhere quiet to do the recording," Mr Aizawa calls after you. "You want it to be as clear as possible."
And with that, you and Midoriya step out of the classroom and into the now empty hallway, equipped with a bag, a birth certificate and a robot baby that night as well be your own biological child.

Hi! I decided since I've been getting a bit more recognition on Tumblr rn I'd promote my YouTube channel! I make playlists and during the summer I might post some VRchat videos. They'd mainly just consist of me painting in the game and having chill music in the background lol. I do take requests for playlists, I make them themed off of genres, characters, and shows.

All though he hovered above you, you didn't move or push him off like you typically would. Instead, you placed your delicate hands on his sturdy shoulders.
'What's gotten over me?' You mentally ask yourself, your breathing getting stuck in your throat. The boy's face rapidly warms up the longer the both of you stare into each other's eyes, though that changed soon when his stare shifted from your eyes to your lips. It was like an invisible force pulling the both of you closer to each other. After sitting up in your elbows to close the distance, Deku, over away assuming you wanted to be free yet instead you placed your hands on the back of his to push his down, the both of your foreheads touching now.
"Wait Y/N, are you sure?" He asks, his voice barely above a whisper.
"If I wasn't sure I wouldn't be doing this." And with that, you connected both of your lips together.  You were in ecstasy, who knew his lips would be so soft and gentle yet so skilled? It immediately had you wanting more as he placed his hands behind your head and the small of your back, his hand underneath your shirt but not moving anywhere else.
As you pull away for air, you tilt your head back before quickly re-attaching yourself to him but this time with your hands under his shirt too, yours being more bold to explore.
Deku used this as an opportunity to pull off his shirt in one swift movement,  his hair getting a but messy in the process. You immediately threw your hands over him and wrapped your legs around him as he went down and your back touched the bed. Soon you felt his lips on your neck as he pepered gentle kisses.
Tilting your head back, you hiss at his warm lips touching your cool neck which soon displayed love bites that slowly worked their way down to your collarbones, reminding you that you hadn't taken anything off yet, and so you did. Throwing your top over your head, revealing your mounds of fat being contained in your bra. Shortly after, you disposed of your pyjama trousers, throwing them off somewhere. Without warning, the green-haired boy reattached his lips to yours, this time being most urgent of all.
Deku's quick hands freed you from your bra which soon gently messaged your breasts as he placed his lips on your neck, marking you with his love bites. You moan as you tangle your fingers in his hair, gripping his green locs needly. “Please.” you whimper, almost a plead as the heat between your legs starts intensifying, causing you to write in anticipation.
“Patience babe, patince.” he mumbles along your skin kissing his way down to your core. Deku looks up at you, with those emerald orbs, non-verbally asking you for continuation, to which you nod. He places a tender kiss over your clothed cunt and your eyes shut, head lols back.
“Are you wet for me baby?” He mumbles against your cunt, placing a sweet kiss over your covered clit, his large, rough fingers pressing your panties into your wetness, watching in awe as they practically drench in your wetness. You've never felt more embarrassed, your face heating up instantaneously. “Look at how wet you are f’me.” He fiddles with the fabric of your panties before pulling them to the side. The cool air rushes to your soaking cunt, causing you to shudder.
Deku's tongue immediately causes you to jolt though as with one long stripe of his tongue over your sensitive bud, your back arches. Your cute reactions seem to fuel his determination to have you a mess over his tongue and all over his face. As he laps you like a starved man, his nose grazes up against your clit, making you reel. “Don’t stop.” you moan out, your legs shuddering, threatening to close shut like a vice around his head.
“You like that hmm?” he asks against your pussy, the vibrations of his voice adding to the sensations. To which you respond with a “Fuck!” Deku uses this as an incentive to carry on, his tongue lapping up all of your juices, not letting any go to waste. His tongue swirls and laps and sucks on your clit, and you feel your orgasm work your way up, so soon.
“Dekuu.” you whine.
“What’s my name?”
“Izuku.” you moan breathlessly.
“That’s it.” he purrs, licking up your sopping cunt and slowly pushing his fingers into your tight cunt, he can’t believe how tight you're squeezing around him, so desperately. The thought of your freaky side finally being revealed to him seems to turn him on, His dick hardening at the thought, He moves faster and faster, like a starved man, like you’re oxygen. This intense wave of pleasure makes you unable to lay still as you writhe and squirm chanting out his name.
“Please, please, please Zuku.” His large hands grip onto your thighs, which seem to be getting in the way of his best work yet. He’s relentless and unforgiving as he works faster to please him to slow down. “Wait stop, m’gonna cummm.” You mewl out. He thinks the noises you make are cute, “Izu, Izu, Izuuuu shittt.” You feel the knot in your heated core tightening as you are seconds away from releasing everywhere. His fingers thrust into you and he shakes his head as his nose nuzzles into your clit, pressing deeper.
“YES FUCK YES!” you cry out loudly, your body shuddering and trembling and the pleasure ripples through your body, your orgasm taking control, and your juices spilling everywhere. You take a minute to recollect yourself, as you feel your cum trickle out of your warm pussy, all falling onto Deku’s face. He swipes some of it off his face with his fingers, places it in his mouth and swirls his tongue around his fingers savouring your taste.
“Shit you taste good. ” he says, staring down at you. The sound of a zipper being undone and the familiar jingle of a belt being kicked off the bed causes you to sit up. Deku rubs his dick up and down your pussy, watching it twitch from overstimulation. His eyes slowly rise from the filthy sight, unto your pleading eyes. “Can you take it? You ready for my dick princess?” He asks rubbing his top up and down your slick folds, awaiting your response. Too shy to respond you nod sheepishly, a faint blush dusting your cheeks. “Words princess words. Tell me what you want from me.”
“Want you fill me up with you dick.”
“You sure.”
His question seems to stump because all of a sudden you're not that sure. You sit up properly to observe his dick. His tip is furiously red, leaking with precum. He was pretty girthy, definitely enough to stretch you out. His take takes a slight curve to the left and it’s lined with veins from his base to the top.
“You’re big.” You mumble, staring at his dick that you seemed to be salivating over.
“Do you think we can make it fit princess?” He asks, One large hand gripping unto your hip as you sink back down into the bed. “You bite your lip in contemplation and nod slowly. “ I need you to be sure about this Y/N.”
“I want you deep in me Izuku.” You confess and with that his teasing tip begins to make an entrance in your pussy, pressing itself further in. His eyes train on your face and how it contorts as he pushes himself in. “Tell me when to go.”
“Keep going slowly.”
His dick slowly reaches further and further inside your walls, till soon you're ready. He doesn't hesitate as he rocks his hips, creating a steady rhythm. And it feels good, it all feels so damn good as he slides in and out of your aching pussy. “MHm Faster please faster.” You moan out. Deku heeds your instructions and begins rocking his hips, his tip brushing against your G-spot causing to briefly go over the edge every time. “Who knew you were dirty like this Y/N.” he says, thrusting in an out of you, watching your body bounce with every move. Your breasts hypnotisingly bouncing around making Deku speed up lightly just to watch your tits bounce faster. “ Look at you, going crazy over dick, is this how you really are?” He asks and by now he's pummeling in and out of your relentlessly. You scream out his name and claw on his back and he leans forward to fondle with your breasts.
“Fuck it feels so good don’t stop.”
“Ill have to if you keep squeezing me like that.” Your repetitive moans seem to send Deku over the edge. the thrusts stop and you feel hands underneath you pick you up to flip you over, laying you on your stomach. His hand pushes your head down dn you insitively put your ass up high in the hand, shaking it needily. Deku first slaps his tip along your pussy before giving a harsh slap t your ass, watching as it begins to tune red. His palms grip the flash of your ass like his life depended on it. Gripping it and using it to pummel into you. Your moans were muffled as he drilled you into the bed. Tears spill out your eyes from the immense pleasure.
“MM’GONNA COMEEEE.” you cry out.
“Aww can my baby not take it anymore.” he coos in your year, going even faster than before. “Please, please, please please.” you chant.
“Can you hold out until I tell you to come?” he asks, his grunts and groans mixing with your whimpers and moans, but the only way you can respond is in a string of curses.
Deku begins to pummel in and out of you at inhumane speed, you genuinely find it difficult to hold yourself up and he drives you deeper into the mattress, mind’s cloudy and fogged up, and the only thing going on is your cock drunk smile. “I'm coming princess, you wanna come with me?” he asks.
“YES!” You cry out.
“Come f’me baby, I want your pretty come allll over my dick.” The knot in your stomach breaks and your eyes screw shut, toes curling in ecstasy that washes over you like the big tides in the ocean. Your body immediately goes limp and your pussy oozes out your cum. Deku picks you up by your arms and finishes off with a few lazy thrusts, before placing you on the bed again.
You can't believe you've just fucked your best friend. You can’t believe you fucked Spiderman.

Superhero Lover
Spiderman! Midoriya Izuku x gn! Reader
wc: 1.2k
Warnings: mild violence
One evening you get saved by Spiderman, but unbeknownst to you, he’s actually your friend and crush, Midoriya.
Tumblr media
In movies, when people get mugged or attacked, you always see the person’s life flash before their eyes, so you were shocked when the only thing running through your head was; ‘Man, my parents were right when they told me to move back home.’
You were frozen as your attacker raised his weapon, unable to do anything but stare, wide-eyed, feet glued to the asphalt. As he went to plunge his weapon into you, spider webs shot out from above, causing the attacker to scrabble backwards, knife dropped by your feet.
Your saviour dropped to the ground, landing a punch to the attacker’s face, knocking him out cold.
Sighing in relief, you collapsed to your knees and started sobbing. You felt ridiculous, but that was scary, you almost died and you couldn’t defend yourself.
“Are you hurt?”
You looked up, vision blurry from your tears, but you could make out a green mask. “Wh-what?”
He helped you to your feet. “Are you hurt?”
You shook your head. “No, just scared. Who are you?”
Now that you had wiped the tears away, you saw the white spider symbol on his chest, like he was some superhero. He'd saved your life, so you guessed he was.
“I’m Spiderman!”
Well, at least the webs and the spider logo made sense. “Thank you for saving me, I don’t know how I could ever repay you.”
The superhero seemed flustered. “There's no need to do that, really! But, I’d really like to see you home safe, if you don’t mind.”
He wanted to escort you home? “Oh, sure. It’s just this way.”
“My ways quicker.” Spiderman told you, offering his hand.
You took it, and before you realised it, you were swinging through the rooftops. You gripped him tighter, before taking in the view and realising how beautiful it was.
“Do you see this everyday?!”
“Mostly! It’s gorgeous, right?”
“Like nothing I’ve ever seen.”
You directed him to your small apartment, and he touched down on your fire escape, releasing his hand from around you. You kissed his masked cheek, not knowing how else to get your gratitude across.
“Stay safe, okay?”
You nodded and watched as he swung off, still feeling the ghost of his muscles underneath your hands.
***
It was hard to concentrate on your college classes the next day, the memory of your saviour still fresh in your mind. He seemed almost…..familiar to you the more you thought about him.
Your friend Midoriya, who sat next to you in class, nudged you with his elbow. “Are you okay?”
It was then that you’d realised you hadn’t written anything down in ten minutes.
“Yeah, sorry. I’m just distracted today.”
He looked like he wanted to say something else, but didn’t and just handed you his notebook, chock full of meticulous notes, written in multiple different colours. The fact made you smile as you thanked him and started copying his notes down.
Midoriya was a close friend of yours, his kind and determined attitude had drawn you to him in your first year of college and you had soon developed a tiny, tiny crush on him. So tiny that you barely even thought about it, not even when his fingers brushed up against yours, or when he smiled at you. That’d be ridiculous.
After class, when you handed him his notes back, you asked him out for coffee under the guise of a study session.
He went pink, freckles nearly disappearing, but then he frowned. “I wish I could, but I’m pretty busy.”
You struggled to keep your small smile on your face. “Oh! Well, that’s okay, I understand.”
Seeing no need to continue the already mortifying conversation, you walked away as fast as you could, until you had left the building entirely. Tears pricked at the corners of your eyes, making you feel worse. You pressed the heels of your palms to them to stop the crying, and it worked just long enough for you to get to your car.
You didn’t want to cry over Midoriya’s rejection, it wasn’t his fault he didn’t feel the same, but you really couldn’t help it. And you still felt that way even as you entered your apartment and tossed your bag onto your desk chair, collapsing face first onto your couch.
How were you going to face him tomorrow after embarrassing yourself? Maybe you could call your professor and tell him you were sick? Or just skip altogether.
A bird was tapping on your fire escape window, it was starting to get on your nerves. You stood up to go scare it away and gasped. It was not a bird.
You opened the window to let him inside. “Spiderman?”
The green clad superhero(vigilante according to the news) waved. “Hi.”
“What are you doing here?”
“Just checking in, last night must’ve been scary.”
It slipped your mind with you worrying about Midoriya. “I haven’t really thought of it.”
You know your eyes must’ve still been puffy and wet from crying, but you’d kind of hoped he just didn’t notice.
“You’ve been crying.”
Or not. “Rough day.”
Now that you could hear him clearly, he sounded familiar, but you couldn’t place the voice.
“What happened?”
“Don’t you have people to save?”
He shrugged. “It’s pretty quiet right now. I’m not a therapist or anything, but it could help to tell someone about it.”
Spiderman sat down in your desk chair after moving your bag out of the way. “So, what’s wrong?”
“Dumb college stuff, you wouldn’t understand, you’re probably like, 30.”
“I’m in college too! I’m actually kind of offended that you think I’m 30….”
You gave him a wary look, but figured he wouldn’t go away until you started talking, so you sighed. “It’s not really a big deal, I just got rejected by the person I have a crush on.”
“Crush?! Who?”
Your eyes widened at his sudden shift in tone. “Um, my friend. His name’s Midoriya. I asked him out today, but he said he was busy. He looked like he was lying though.”
“What if he didn’t know it was a date and really was busy?” He was chuckling nervously now.
You moved closer to him, until you were face to face with him, almost nose to nose. You would know that nervous chuckle anywhere. “Midoriya, is that you under there?”
He gasped, but didn’t try to deny anything as he took off the mask, his green curls messy and sweaty from being confined for so long, his cheeks were pink.
“How’d you figure it out?”
You laughed softly. “You might want to think about disguising your voice.”
“I didn’t know you were asking me on a date, honest.”
“I guess I should’ve been more honest.”
A beat of silence passed. “So, how long have you been Spiderman?”
“A while, you’re the only one that knows.”
Midoriya’s gaze was focused on his hands, avoiding your gaze. “Hey, what’s wrong?”
He smiled. “That’s my line, you know.”
“I’m borrowing it. What’s wrong?”
“Did I screw things up with you?”
Kissing his cheek, you lifted his head so his eyes would meet yours. “No, you didn’t.”
His smile was bigger now, the big grin you’d gotten accustomed to seeing him wear on his face. The one that made you like him so much. “So, do you want to go out for dinner now?”
“Well, you can’t go out dressed like that.”
“We could always swing through the city again.”
When you rolled your eyes, Midoriya planted a quick, soft kiss on your lips, cradling your face carefully in his gloved hands.
“We’ll reschedule.” You told him, head spinning.
“I like that idea.” He responded, going back in for another kiss.

Izuku wished he'd been more careful- wished he'd thought more.
He wasn't thinking at all, though. All he could hear was the sound of your voice- how scared you'd seemed when you called him. The fast beat of your heart as you hurried back from the corner store. He should've already been with you. Shouldn't have let you go alone. He was sore and tired from patrol, so you went alone. His fault. He didn't think when he found you. He just wanted to get you away from the threat.
It's all he can think about on his way back to his apartment, one hand tangled in webbing and the other buried in your jacket, holding you flush against his chest. He knows how painful the trip must be for you- trying his best to soften the landings and not swing too harshly around corners.
And you don't want to make him feel worse, you can see the trembling of his chin under bright spandex, but you can't help the yelps that escape when he lands too roughly on a roof. He mumbles apologies every second, clutching you tight as tears begin to bubble on his lashes.
You also can't help the heavy sigh of relief when you're finally at his building, sat on his plush bed and your head stops rushing. Izuku refuses to look at you, pulling your shirt over your head to bare your wounds. "It could be worse," you offer. You can't tell his expression, but he ignores you, worrying over the little splotches of purple and red.
"I'm- I-," you know his lower lips wobbling even if you can't see it. The fabric covering his nose heaves with his shoulders. "I'm so sorry, honey- I should've," Izuku kneels between your knees, frantically ripping the mask from his face. You're met with the expression you expected, glassy and guilty. You can see all the worries, the blame, swirling around his skull.
"I shouldn't have gone with you, 'zuku- it's my fault." You wish your breath was a little more even, "it's always dangerous this time of night. I didn't listen to-"
He huffs roughly, staring pointedly at your feet, "I still didn't come with you." You let out a shaky breath, grappling for his hands and squeezing down. "I let you go alone, didn't I?" You can feel his fingers trembling under your own, pulling him up to sit on the bed next to you. "I'm sorry."
"I told you I'm- fuck- okay." Your breath hitches under a new wave of pain. Your ribs throb- definitely bruised, you grasp harder at Izuku's hands.
He watches you helplessly from his seat, flexing gloved fingers, "I'm so sorry." Tears begin to track over his freckled cheeks, "I'm sorry."
You catch his jaw in your palms, "I'm fine, baby. It could be worse, trust me." You can tell the reassurance doesn't mean much to him. He's still staring down at his hands and pushing back tears.
"I shouldn't have pushed you out of the way," he whimpers. "What if something worse had happened?" He worries, lip caught between his teeth, "I could've really hurt you. Or worse and it would've been my fau-"
"Izuku Midoriya," his eyes snap to yours, widened and glassy. "That dude could have killed me, okay?" You watch his jaw clench- green eyes sharpening suddenly. "You did what you thought was best. You removed me from the threat. You did a good job, okay?"
He nods at you, forces a tight smile- but you can tell he doesn't mean it. It's like he thinks you're lying to him- that you hate him, deep down. Like you're going to leave the second he turns around. But you're not.
"Izuku, look at me," you tug him closer to you, palms cradling tear-streaked cheeks. "You did what was right. You protected the civilian, you caught the assailant, you saved me. That's what you've always wanted to do, what you've dreamed of. That's what you did." A smile finally tugs at his lips again and he nods, sweat-slicked curls bouncing. He slumps against you when you pull him into you, nosing into your neck.
"You know I love you, right?" He hums, pressing a kiss to the juncture of your neck. "Good. 'Cause in the nicest, most loving way possible- I need an icepack and you need a shower."
He huffs a laugh, pulling back to press a short kiss to your lips, "m'kay. I'll be right back, okay- try to stay sitting up, hon."
"You act like I'm dying, 'Zuku," you squeeze his hand. "I'm just a little banged up."
Izuku frowns, cupping the side of your face, rubbing his thumb across your cheek. "Pinky promise?"
You huff a laugh, staring at his extended finger before uniting it with yours, "pinky promise." The smile that breaks across his face makes your heart hurt.

Izuku was rushing around the apartment as you were half asleep face buried into the mattress. It was 6am too early for any human to be functional except your boyfriend who was currently late for patrol. He was running around like a chicken without a head throwing clothes on the floor and lifting items up.
After another two minutes of hurried shuffling you turned your face to the side eyed still sealed shut, “Honey what are you doing?”
He paused with wide eyed surprised you were awake even with all the noise he was making, “I can’t find my belt or shoes.”
“Under the kitchen table babe.” You sighed before turning your face into the mattress your brain succumbing to the darkness of the pillow and falling back asleep.
“Thank you!” He yelled
Izuku ran into the kitchen and let out a sigh in relief before changing and running out the door without a second thought.
You kept him sane.
It was a Saturday so you slept until 12 before finally getting up to an empty bed. No shock there Izuku was a workaholic.
You moved around the apartment noticing the path of hurricane Izuku when he was rushing around this morning and began to clean. Clothes and items everywhere.
Izuku was on patrol and came to a realization around 9am. He didn’t get a kiss or hear I love you from your lips. It’s this realization that put him in a bad mood.
After two defeating two criminals he was getting antsy. Your kisses to him were lucky and not getting one from you could make or break his day.
He didn’t get off of work until 6 and he couldn’t wait that long but he was still on patrol.
It wasn’t until 12 that he was patrolling in the city near your apartment
You were in your own world cleaning your apartment. Still in pajamas, hair tied up, and music playing you were in the bedroom picking up scattered items and clothes from the previous busy week.
Izuku turned down a street and noticed he was only a block away from your apartment. He could be in and out in a couple minutes to see you and his brain wouldn’t be plagued with his mistake from earlier.
Screw it.
Using black whip he hopped onto the roof building and swung himself to the 11th floor window that you resided in.
Peering inside he saw your familiar back of your head sitting on the floor of your bedroom. You were in one of his oversized shirts, sitting criss cross apple sauce with piles of laundry around you and headphones residing in your ears.
He held against the building and started to push against the glass. You whipped your head at the noise with scared eyes until you recognized who it was and sighed.
Izuku yanked up his mask and gave you a smile leaning into the bedroom.
“What are you doing here?” You said walking towards the window as he sat on the ledge allowing you stand in between his thighs.
He pouted with warm eyes, “ I didn’t get a kiss from you this morning, beautiful.”
Izuku’s eyes were crackling with green electricity from his use of black whip, slightly chapped lips, and a loving expression on his face, with his mask resting just above his hairline allowing some curls to escape.
“You came back home for that?” Wrapping your arms around his neck and his around your waist.
“Of course your kisses give me good luck.” He shrugged his thumbs caressing you.
“If you insist.” You smiled bringing one hand to his freckled face and one to the nape of his neck lightly tugging on his hair. Izuku snaking his tongue in your mouth to deepen the kiss, pressing you further into him.
“I love you.” He said in between gasps of air.
“I love you too.” Izuku continued pressing his lips into yours soaking up whatever time he had left with you, even if it was a couple minutes.
“Okay you have to go to work.” You laughed giving him a slight push.
He groaned in response dropping his head on your shoulder before you gently moved his face back up. Gently using your pointer to connect the dots with his freckles making both of you smile.
“No.”
Leaning to the side you saw a new scratch on his face. Assuming correctly it was a villain he defeated earlier that day.
“Zuzu you have to be careful okay?” You sighed giving him a kiss on his new mark.
“Of course angel.”
“Go, and you better come back to me.” You whispered foreheads leaning against each other. His hands tightly on your waist and pressing against his abdomen.
Being a pro hero was so dangerous and it was a risk every time he stepped through the door.
“Always.” He replied giving you one last quick kiss.
Izuku leaned back from the window dropping from your view. He knew it gave you a mini heart attack each time he did it but he wasn’t worried. Getting an earful from you at dinner before you smother him with love didn’t seem to bad.

spider boy secrets — spider-man!midoriya izuku x reader
synopsis: after almost a week of avoiding you left and right, you finally run into midoriya on campus. After some convincing, he finally tells you what he’s been up to as spider-man, and why he’s been so adamant about avoiding you. [part 3/5 - series masterlist]
wc: 1.6k
author’s note: the mystery is revealed, the suspense is over!! or is it :0
Tumblr media
It’s been a few days since you’ve seen Midoriya in person.
If it weren’t for the fact that you can hear him come home every night and the fact that he has been sending the odd text or two, you would’ve called the police and led a search party yourself.
He’s never avoided you before. Because that is what he’s doing, after all. Avoiding you. No matter how you look at it.
His texts are assurances that he’s okay, and he occasionally sends an upside-down selfie. But he’s wearing his mask in every single one, and you can’t tell if he’s just being coy or if he’s hiding a bruised-up face behind the mask.
You receive one that morning just before you leave for class, and you can’t help but smile. It looks like it's from the night before, and you don’t recognize where he is exactly. You snap a quick picture of Moony napping on the couch and send it to him as you leave your apartment, avoiding your gaze on his door just a few feet away.
You get to class early and continue with what you’ve been doing since Midoriya started avoiding you—investigating. There isn’t much to you; you go to class, you come home, and occasionally you attend club activities on campus or meet up with a friend to study.
There hasn’t been any obvious overlap between the two of you, aside from knowing his giant secret and being his neighbor. You aren’t in the same social circles, major, department, or anything.  But you do frequent the same libraries.
Which he hasn’t been doing for the past week—you noticed that right away. Even though you can usually count on him to be there before you and save you a spot, in the back near the giant window he likes to stare out of when he gets fed up with his chemistry homework.
After the lecture, you follow your biology professor to his office in the building over, making idle small talk before jumping into your questions on topics covered in class. You don’t stay for very long, and it’s on your way out of his office and the building that you spot him.
Midoriya is sitting against a wall, really crouching as though to make himself as small as possible, nearly hidden thanks to the crevice the water fountain creates in the corner. You freeze, afraid he’s already heard you, but he doesn’t seem to have noticed you yet. He’s leaning forward as much as he can to avoid being spotted on the other side of the corner, listening.
You take a few steps forward and strain to listen. You don’t recognize the professor’s voice, but he sounds nervous. A few words do register even from where you’re standing— “not ready yet,” “still need to test,” and you swear you hear the word “spider,” but that could just be because you’ve finally spotted the little shi—
Midoriya suddenly scrambles to his feet from underneath the water fountain and heads straight towards you. Stifling a gasp, you’re so surprised at how quickly he loops an arm through yours and ushers you down the hallway you don’t even try to say anything. You both hurry down the hall into the stairwell, and he makes sure to softly close the door behind him.
You hear muffled sounds of footsteps walking right by the door. Whoever was talking was headed straight towards the both of you.
“Who was that?” you whispered, even though the stairwell was visibly empty, and Midoriya was still holding you close to his side. He gently tugged you along down the stairs, glancing behind you as he did.
“Nobody,” he says as you both leave the building, still glancing around as you walk out the doors. “So, how’ve you been?”
You tug your arm loose as you both stop in front of a shady bench by the building you just fled from, narrowing your eyes at him. “Cut the bullshit, Midoriya,” you said. “You’ve been avoiding me for the past week, and now you’re deflecting. Who were you spying on?”
“Y/N, I can’t—”
“Do you seriously think I’d tell someone?”
“I don’t want to risk putting you in danger,” he sighed. “Of course I don’t think you’d tell anyone. I just…knowing anything about what I get up to when I wear the suit could put you in danger.” he’s still avoiding your gaze.
“Is it someone I know? Is that why?” He shakes his head a little too quickly.
“Midoriya. I will stand here and list every single person I know on this campus. You can’t lie to me, and you can’t keep avoiding me. And if I know them, then that means I can help you.” You clear your throat, mind scrambling. Can you even name everyone?
He waves his hands frantically at you, eyes wide, and you don’t get the chance to even attempt anything. “It’s Professor Kyudai. I was eavesdropping on him.”
You frown, crossing your arms. “Who?”
Midoriya furrows his eyebrows as he slowly meets your gaze. “Kyudai? The chair of the molecular and cell biology department?”
You shake your head. “Why do you think I know who he is?”
Midoriya looks as confused as you feel. “You’re listed as an undergraduate research assistant on his webpage.”
“I am?”
Midoriya moves to sit on the bench you’ve both been standing in front of, and you move to sit next to him. He pulled up the page on his phone surprisingly fast, and you see your legal name listed there, alongside two others and Professor Kyudai’s, and a brief description of some research study you’ve never even heard of.
You stared at the name on the webpage, and you remember a mixup that happened your second year after you had already declared your major. You’d received the wrong email for the wrong Y/N, who’d declared as a molecular and cellular biology major—something you had certainly never done. And how the poor advisor had apologized profusely for the mixup and had asked if you didn’t happen to know this other person.
You can’t help but laugh, quick to cover your mouth in an attempt to stifle your giggles at the absurdity of this situation. Midoriya still looks confused, which makes you laugh harder.
“That isn’t me,” you explained. “I’m not even a STEM major, Midoriya.”
He slouches forward and puts his face in his hands, in relief or surprise, you’re not sure.
“Seriously?”
“Yes,” you laughed, patting him on the shoulder. “Is that why you’ve been avoiding me?”
He nodded, still hiding his face in his hands. “I was so nervous I was going to have to arrest you or something.”
“Arrest?” you whispered, scooting closer to him even though there was no one within earshot of either of you. You nudge his knee with your own until he looks up at you, a smile tugging at his lips. “Okay, you need to fill me in on what the hell you’ve been up to, spider boy.”
Eventually, after a lot of convincing, he does.
“Kyudai has been dabbling in some… illegal activities,” he said, scratching Moony behind her ears and smiling at how loudly she purrs in response. You’re both back in your apartment, and the second Midoriya stepped inside Moony has not left his side. You’re a little peeved with her—when you come home she only meows at you before going back to grooming herself or staring at the birds out the window.
“He’s been doing some research on the side for some sketchy people, using funds he shouldn’t be using. I don’t know exactly what he’s up to yet, but I know other professors might be in on it, too. I think he’s threatening them.”
“What about research assistants?” you asked. “Are they being threatened, too?” You did recognize one of the other names on the list, besides your name twin’s, that is.
He shrugged and explained he didn’t know how deeply involved they were. From what he can tell and what he’s witnessed for himself, the three assistants have been running most of his actual research for the past month.
No one has formally reported Kyudai—Midoriya only noticed because he’d been at the right place at the right time, as both himself and as Spider-Man.
“I was watching a building by the docks one night, just patrolling, and I saw a university truck,” he continued. “Kyudai was driving. I watched him trade some vials for some briefcases I can only assume were filled with cash. The guys who took it, I turned them in a week later to the police. They were messed up, high on something I’ve never seen before. I almost broke my arm that night.”
And the day after turning them in, his biology professor hadn’t shown up for class.
“He’s my mentor,” Midoriya explained, voice quavering a little. “I was his research assistant last summer, and I’m supposed to help him launch a new program next semester. I see him every week for office hours. I know he wouldn’t just leave.”
Professor Yagi, it turns out, is Kyudai’s lab neighbor, and Midoriya suspects he was poking around and asking too many questions. And Kyudai got rid of him somehow.
“Even though I recorded Kyudai making the exchange, it’s not enough yet to arrest him,” Midoriya said. “I’ve been looking for Professor Yagi, tracking Kyudai. I knew you’d want to help, but because I thought you were already connected to the situation, I thought it’d be too dangerous.”
You stay silent for a few seconds, mind racing. “Thank you for trusting me,” you said softly, smiling when he met your gaze. “I think I can help you out.”

In today's world, heroes are seen as individuals or groups devoted to helping others. You see them a lot in movies where the protagonist takes down its antagonist and is proclaimed the hero in the end. Other heroes like policemen, firefighters, and doctors are also worthy of the title. However, Japan has welcomed a new hero into the fray named Spiderman.
A tragic disaster fell upon an apartment complex in the city of Musutafu. Flames consumed the building preventing firefighters from entering the entrance doors. Predictions of how it started are unknown to the officers on standby. The chances of the structure collapsing are super high, and no one is inside would survive. Amongst the victims, a man holding his newborn child is screaming for his wife. He pleads for the firefighters to save his wife, which they assure the man without doing anything. As New reporters describe the scene, a lone figure wearing green is swinging into action.
All hands pointed out the figure, leaping off a rooftop and swinging feet first into a window. Eyes landed on the window, floors above the ground and near the rooftop. It's then the crowd witnesses spits of fire spewing out the windows. Explosions ring in their ears, increasing the chances of the roof caving in. This forced a dreadful silence throughout the entire area.
Inside the inferno, a woman is clinging onto a lone pillar. Around her, the floor is crumbling, leaving nothing for her to escape. Calling for help didn't do much then she expected. Falling debris crashing was louder than her screams. The woman yelps, hands slipping for a moment. She manages to cling on tight, but the pillars lean forward, causing the woman to hang over a pool of flames and smoke. Loud cries echoed by the time said hero arrived.
Clad in a green jumpsuit, a white spider on his chest gave the woman a hint of who he was. "—S-spiderman,"
The lone boy sees the woman, tears of joy begin to show. "Don't worry, ma'am! I'm coming to save you!"
"Please help me—I don't wanna die," The woman begged, hands being to sweat.
"Hang on!" With that, he jumps, shooting web stings as support for the pillar. He created a net just as another explosion shook the building. Landing on top of the post, he reached out for the woman. "Take my hand! I have you okay!"
"I-i can't! I'll fall!" The woman shouts, voice shaking with fear. The tiny tremors and sounds of the webs fraying frightened her the most.
The hero shook his head, leaning down to extend his hand a little further. "You're not gonna fall! I'll catch you before that happens. I'm not letting you die here! I promise!"
Shaking, one hand leaves her hold on the post, and she's successful in taking her saviour's hand. Spiderman pulled the woman into his arms, carrying her bridal style. The woman doesn't hesitate to throw her hands over his shoulders. He leaps off the post just as his webs come loose and fall into the fiery pit below them.
At that point, the building is caving, the two escaped by jumping through another window. Spiderman shields the woman from the glass and flips his way towards the ground. The landing is rough but worth it. The green hero looks down, hearing the woman coughing. He sighs in relief, seeing no injuries on her skin covered in ash.
Back on the ground, the lady's husband gasps, tightening his grip on his baby. "Suna! Suna!"
The husband pushed past the officers, meeting his wife on the other side. Spiderman sets her on a stretcher before her husband brings her in for a tight embrace.
"Thank you, spiderman!" The man yells, smothering his wife's face with kisses. "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you so much!"
"Honey-you're crushing me,"
"Just doing my job, sir," The hero said, saluting the family.
Nobody could see the hero's smile under his mask. Alas, he couldn't stick around once the news reporters aimed the cameras towards him. Cameras flashed in his eyes, hindering his sights for a moment. Fleeing the scene, he left the crowd in awe by showing off his tricks. He ran up the walls of a nearby building before he swung off a web and disappeared.
An hour after the incident, Izuku dealt with another problem not far. It was a bank robbery that took a few minutes of his time. He quickly takes care of the culprits before another issue pops up someplace else. Once, he finally stops on top of a building where he hid his schoolbag. He overlooks the city, watching the citizen live their lives, happy and free.
He never gets over the beautiful view and takes a couple of pictures for safekeeping. His phone vibrates as he scrounges through his bag. When he takes out his phone, he sees his mother's contact id on the screen.
"Hi, mom," He greeted.
"Izuku Midoriya. I thought I told you not to be late home. School ended three hours ago, and I'm getting worried," The woman complained.
Peeling his mask off his mouth, Izuku rests his phone against his ear. "I'm sorry, Mom. I had club activities and study classes."
"Did you at least get the eggs for dinner?" His mother asked. The green haired boy jolts, shaking his head side to side. He completely forgot about the eggs since he put on his suit, which is always bad on his account.
"I'm sorry, Mom. I completely forgot about the eggs." He admitted nervously. "I'll get them right now,"
"Oh, well-can, you also get some cream as well, and be safe on your way home, please?" She asked. Izuku pulls his mask back over his face. Sling his bag over his shoulders, he tightens his straps, keeping it secure on his back.
"Don't worry, I'll be home as soon as I can. See you soon, Mom!" Izuku hangs up the phone before he puts it back in his bag. Sitting inside was also a slim little box. He pulls it out and opens it revealing a beautiful hairpin. It's a gift for his classmate, who makes his heart skip a beat. You.
Izuku made sure his gift was secure and zipped up his bag. He loomed over the building edge, ditching his hiding spot on top of a building. He leaps off and quickly finds a place to change into his clothes. As Spiderman, Izuku was always terrible at lying. It's a constant struggle keeping his identity a secret. He's still in high school, living his life as a teenager and an only child. Two long years later—he still forgets about the eggs.

you thought it was really funny and he was very flustered for the rest of the day
Tenya Iida
actually you both said it kind of at the same time
you were both sitting on your bed
he was holding you from behind while you studied
“i love you, y/n”
you smiled softly and turned around to kiss him
“and i love you too, class rep”

Like Silk | Chapter 1
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
JUST BECAUSE I HAVE "SPIDER" SENSE DOESN'T MEAN I HAVE COMMON SENSE
Tumblr media
Sneak Peak:
Winter has arrived sooner than expected this year. Despite the fact that it’s still barely pushing mid-November, temperatures around most of the country have dropped substantially, causing the streets of Musutafu to ice up. It’s even snowed a few times overnight in the past week, although most of it has always melted off by ten o’clock, leaving the city bright and gleaming in the cold sunlight.
Some might be happy about the change in the weather. It’s a signal of the change in the season, a reminder that the holidays are soon to come and it’s almost time to begin preparing for Christmas and then the New Year. It’s a reason to get excited, a distraction from the long work week.
And for the most part, Izuku Midoriya agrees with the sentiment. He’s a high school student after all, heading towards the end of his third and final year, and so for him the holidays mean a break from the hectic life of school projects and homework that he leads. Something that he’s very much looking forward to. Unfortunately for Izuku, however, he’s not only just a high school third-year. And so he has more things to worry about with the coming winter than just his academics.
Because Izuku is Spiderman. And the cold is very inconvenient for Spiderman. . .
