[A/N]: This was a prompt swap with one of my friends, and I've written one more from this challenge with her for Samantha Giddings, though I don't plan to post it anytime soon. I have a masterlist in my drafts that lists all of the characters I want to write for, but I'd like to post three stories for each of those characters before I upload the masterlist--that way I can figure out which ones I will actually write for, and which ones I won't.
Enjoy!
“C’mon, Aunt Donna! I’m telling you: if you take her out on a date like that, she’ll have to say yes!” Daniela chirped excitedly from her seat against the armrest of the sofa. Bela elbowed her gently in the arm, scoffing and shaking her head. “Dani, [Y/N] shouldn’t feel pressured to say she feels the same way. She should have every reason to feel comfortable enough to say no if she’s not interested.” She turned to Donna, who had been fidgeting with her fingers. “Of course,” the blonde said in a much softer tone, “I don’t have any doubts that she won’t reciprocate your feelings. I’ve seen just how thrilled and lively she gets whenever your name is even mentioned.” The doll-maker’s head perked up at this, her shoulders tensed as she stared with pure hope behind her veil at the eldest daughter.
Angie jumped up onto the sofa and bounced on top of Bela’s lap. “Really?” She squealed. Bela smirked knowingly at her as she side-glanced at Donna. “Yes, of course.” Daniela leaned forward. “Yeah! She really does love you, Auntie! We’ve all seen it–even Cassandra! Right, Cass?” She turned to her older sister, who was seated at the far end of the couch with her arms crossed, seemingly disinterested. She scoffed and rolled her eyes. “Yeah. It’s sickening to see how oblivious the two of you are around each other,” she retorted. Bela sent her a threatening glare. “Cass, watch it. It’s not their fault they’re too nervous to confess. Rejection is a painful thing to experience.”
The brunette turned to her. “Yeah, I know, but they aren’t going to reject each other. We all know that.” “They don’t know that. Well, Donna knows now, but [Y/N] doesn’t.” She turned to her aunt with a comforting smile. “I can assure you that the love you have for [Y/N] is requited.” Donna smiled softly under her veil, looking to her lap as the three daughters turned to Angie. “Don’t worry,” the small doll spoke while waving her hand dismissively. “I’ll make sure Donna doesn’t chicken out.” Donna turned to her. “Angie,” she scolded as Daniela and Bela chuckled–Cassandra even snickered a bit to herself from the opposite end of the group
The doll-maker sighed and tugged Angie over to sit in her lap. “What if I mess something up?” She voiced softly after a moment. Daniela stood from the armrest and moved to sit next to Donna, squishing herself in between her aunt and Cassandra. “Hey, watch it!” The redhead ignored her and gently grasped one of Donna’s hands. “You won’t ruin anything,” she reassured in an uncharacteristic tone. “Bela and I can even help you set everything up so you can focus on making the food!” The veiled woman looked to Bela, who smiled back at her. “You two would be willing to do that for me?” The blonde nodded. “Of course. Since it’s warm enough outside, we should be able to stay out without much layering.”
Cassandra cleared her throat, prompting everyone to glance over at her. She stared at them expectantly. When she got no answer, she growled and planted her hand flat against her chest. “Am I just supposed to stay here on my own? Do you three really not trust me enough to contribute somehow?” Bela and Daniela looked at each other with confusion. “We thought this kind of stuff annoyed you,” the blonde responded. “It does, but I don’t like being left out of things. I hate it almost as much as I hate all of this cheesy romance shit.” Bela rolled her eyes and Daniela giggled. “I’m not really sure what you could help with. Dani and I can take care of the table and decor pretty quickly on our own.”
Cassandra growled again, but before she could speak and bicker with her sister, Donna turned to her. “Actually, Cassandra, if you’d really like to help, it might be nice for the main part of the meal to be hunted and homemade instead of being bought from the Duke. It would add a more meaningful aspect to it.” Cassandra’s eyes lit up as she smirked. “Say no more. Name the day, and I’ll be there with whatever you need.” She shifted into a swarm of flies and flew up the stairs, leaving her sisters there to finish planning with Donna.
T////////S
[Y/N] giggled as Donna led her over behind the house to the edge of the waterfall. “Donna, where are we going?” The doll-maker had covered the girl’s eyes with her hands so she’d hopefully be surprised by the setup. “Somewhere special, but not far from home. I…” She hesitated, her hands trembling against [Y/N]’s face. The [h/c] girl raised her own hands to cover Donna’s, gently caressing them with the pads of her thumbs. “Hun, just relax. I’m sure I’ll love wherever you take me.” Donna smiled warmly down at her. Her tensed hands slowly relaxed as they continued walking forward, but quickly grew rigid again as they grew closer to her desired spot.
Finally, after a long while of stumbling and trying not to trip each other, the two women came to a stop. [Y/N]’s eyes were still covered, but she was able to hear the rushing water of the nearby cliff flowing down rapidly somewhere far below them. Donna sucked in a deep breath. “I-I really hope you’ll like it,” she whispered, internally slapping herself for stuttering. Even after failing to steel her nerves, Donna managed to remove her hands and drop them down to her sides, where they only remained temporarily before finding each other in front of her torso to pick at one another. [Y/N]’s eyes slowly fluttered open. They quickly widened shortly after as a small gasp slipped past her lips. “Oh, Donna, it’s beautiful!”
Donna sighed in relief, glancing over to take in the view herself. There, a good distance away from the edge of the cliff, stood a suitably sized table with two seats placed opposite of one another. A pastel tablecloth draped itself atop the wooden surface of the table, the edges rippling with the soft breeze. Resting on top of the cloth was a small vase filled with dicentras as the centerpiece, two plates of lasagne, and a small tray of antipasto. Two wine glasses full of Barbaresco positioned themselves beside the plates, the rims of the glass shimmering underneath the moonlight. Even from where she stood, [Y/N] recognized the craftsmanship of the wood used for the table and chairs–Donna had made them quite a while ago, but she never knew why until then.
Donna stepped forward and softly placed her hand on [Y/N]’s shoulder. She squeezed it to gain her attention, prompting the girl to look up at her. “Do you really think it’s beautiful?” [Y/N] beamed brightly at her, turning to her and grabbing her hands. Donna blushed. “Of course I do,” she responded cheerfully. The ravenette sighed softly in relief. “I’m glad.” They stared at each other for a moment, not entirely sure what to say next. Finally, Angie came bounding from the opposite side of the house. “Sit down and eat before the food gets cold,” she yelled while tugging at [Y/N]’s pant leg. “Donna and the mean sister from the Tall Lady’s family spent a lot of time on it! I’ll bite your ankles if you don’t go sit down.” [Y/N] chuckled. “Okay, okay, fine.”
She and Donna walked over. Before [Y/N] had an opportunity to pull her chair out to sit down, Donna rushed over and did it for her. She thanked her with a sheepish grin and watched as the doll-maker forcefully sauntered over to her own seat. Once they were both seated, they picked up their utensils and hesitantly began to eat. [Y/N] hummed once the flavor hit her tongue. She covered her mouth as she spoke. “Oh, wow, this tastes incredible, Donna! And Angie said Cassandra helped with this?” Donna nodded and blushed. “Yes. She helped hunt for the meat in the dish, and Bela and Daniela helped me set the table, chairs, and decor up. They’re, um…they’re actually the ones who encouraged me to do this tonight.” [Y/N] smiled. “They’re all so sweet, even if they don’t like to show it.” Donna nodded in agreement.
She took a shaky breath, unsure of how to even bring up her confession. Her hand trembled as she continued to take small bites. She went to reach for her glass, but decided against it when she noticed just how badly her hand was shaking. She didn’t want to spill the wine on herself and end up embarrassing herself while ruining the moment. ‘How am I supposed to ask her? There has to be a way to bring it up in a smooth manner.’ Panicked, her mind went back to a few weeks prior when she had been discussing the plan with the Dimitrescu sisters.
F////////B
“How do I even go about asking something like that? I don’t want it to be sudden and make it even more awkward than it already will be,” Donna anxiously said aloud, surprisingly not using Angie as her voice. The three sisters all turned to her, each one carrying their own expression: Bela seemed distressed, Cassandra appeared annoyed, and Daniela looked as though she was about to burst with the ideas she had been keeping private about the date. “I don’t want to screw this up–I’m already enough of a screw-up as it is.” The sisters’ expressions all shifted into one of uniformed concern. They sat next to Donna on the bed, Bela and Daniela taking either one of her hands. “Hey, what are you talking about? You’re not a screw-up,” the redhead assured softly. Donna lowered her head in an attempt to hide the tears pricking her one good eye, even though her veil was still covering her face.
“I am. I always have been. I don’t know what [Y/N] even sees in me.” Bela tilted her head as the pad of her thumb brushed over the back of the doll-maker’s hand in a soothing manner. “What makes you think of yourself that way?” Donna sniffled and slipped both hands out of the girls’ grasp, allowing her to bring them up under her veil to wipe her tears and hide her face even further. “I’ve always been able to tell how people think of me,” she started softly. “My parents always favored both of my sisters, and once they passed, they didn’t seem to care enough about me to stay. I remember crying to myself each night–telling myself that, if I had been good enough, maybe they would’ve stayed. Maybe they would’ve loved me more.”
“Oh, Donna, you–” “And then I met Mother Miranda. I thought I could be a perfect daughter, even if I wasn’t fit to be a vessel for Eva. When she told me I was part of the family, even though I wasn’t a perfect fit, it didn’t upset me because I was happy to finally have people I could rely on. But then I read her entries about the experiments she performed on me.” She wiped her face again, her fingernails digging lightly into her scalp. “She…she said I was almost a perfect fit, but she was disappointed to learn that I’m “mentally underdeveloped.””
The three women beside her remained silent, unsure of what to say to comfort her. They listened with disheartened gazes as their aunt began to weep. She curled her legs up onto the bed and clutched them to her chest, allowing her to bury her head in between her knees. “I don’t want [Y/N] to see me as a disappointment,” she finally rasped at length. “She means way too much to me–I can’t lose her like I’ve lost everyone else.” Bela pulled her to lean against her shoulder. “Hey, I may not be able to say anything about what Mother Miranda said about you because that’s out of my control, but I can assure you with all of my heart that [Y/N] loves you. She would do anything for you, yes, but that also means she wouldn’t lie to you about how she feels. If she thought of you in a low manner, you would’ve been able to tell. Has she done anything to make you doubt how she feels?”
Donna stayed quiet for a moment, seemingly thinking back on what Bela had asked her. After a moment, she shook her head. “No, she hasn’t. She actually…does the opposite.” “She does? How so?” “She just–she makes me so happy. She always compliments everything I do, and supports me, and constantly helps out around the house so I have more time to work in the shop. She even,” she chuckled, letting her legs fall back down to hang over the side of the bed again. “She even plays the piano and sings for me while I work so I won’t be alone.” Daniela grinned beside her and gently shook her shoulder. “See? There ya go! Just focus on the positive.”
Donna giggled, and she nodded as she moved to stop leaning against the eldest daughter so she could straighten out her clothes. “I suppose you have a point. I just–I still don’t know how to confess how I feel or ask her.” Cassandra stood and stepped in front of the three, crossing her arms. “Just do it. I don’t see why you’re so anxious about this.” Bela scoffed and stood up as well. “Cass, you need to–” “No, listen to me. I may not understand why people fall in love, but I do know that Aunt Donna and [Y/N] love each other. It’s not a temporary thing–especially for them–so she doesn’t need to worry so much about what could go wrong.” She turned to Donna, who had been listening intently. “She won’t say no, I promise. Just find whatever courage you need and tell her how you feel.”
The doll-maker smiled up at her, though no one could see it, and nodded. “I’ll do my best. Thank you–all three of you.”
They all beamed at her warmly. “Of course,” Daniela responded. “So, how’re you going to confess?” Donna blushed, her shoulders growing tense. “Oh, well…I’m not entirely sure. I know you said I couldn’t–and shouldn’t–use Angie, so I’m having to find a way to rehearse what I want to say for myself.” “And what do you have so far?” “Well…”
E////F////B
Donna cleared her throat, twirling her fork around and moving bits of food across the plate. “So, [Y/N],” she mumbled barely loud enough to hear. [Y/N]’s head perked up at the sound of her name. “Yes?” “I-I, uhm…” She glanced up at the girl across the table and blushed once they made eye contact, quickly averting her gaze and staring down at her lap. She looked over to find Angie giving her a thumbs up from several feet behind the [h/c] girl. With a shaky breath, Donna’s hands dropped down to pick at themselves underneath the table. She felt her heart hammering against her ribs, silently wondering if [Y/N] could hear it as well, and she found it hard to breathe properly. She whispered a few words of encouragement to herself under her breath.
Finally, she looked back up, though she couldn’t maintain eye contact, and she felt her arm jerking its way slowly above the table. Her palm presented itself face up–a silent plea for [Y/N] to hold her hand, which she did happily. Donna felt herself sigh. Holding [Y/N]’s hand always calmed her down–she truly felt at peace with her. “Can I be honest with you about something?” [Y/N] squeezed her hand softly, a small smile painting her lips.
“Of course you can. What is it?” Her calm tone felt welcoming–like it had no judgment behind it. Donna cleared her throat again. It felt too soon into the evening to be confessing like this, but she couldn’t wait any longer. She had to know if [Y/N] felt the same. “It’s about why I brought you here tonight. I wanted it to be special because what I need to tell you is…very personal. It’s important to me.” “I’m glad you trust me enough to tell me this then.” Donna chuckled, mindlessly rubbing her face with her free hand as she felt her face heating up even more.
“I have more than trust for you, [Y/N], believe me.” [Y/N] tilted her head, suddenly growing anxious. “Is something wrong?” “No, no, nothing is wrong. I just–” She finally looked her in the eye. “You mean the world to me [Y/N]. You’ve made my life so much better from the moment you arrived. You always know what to say and do to make me feel happy. You make sure I eat enough throughout the day, that I take plenty of breaks, that I get plenty of rest. You always help with the cleaning and cooking, so I have even more time to work on my projects, but you still manage to sit in the room with me to keep me company. I’ve never felt so…loved and important to someone. I truly hope you feel the same way about me.”
[Y/N] was awestruck. Her blush was evident as she responded. “I do, Donna. I do feel the same way. You mean the world to me as well. It might be really corny for me to say this, but I just can’t imagine my life without you. I don’t want to imagine my life without you.” Donna felt the tears already trickling down her cheek and across her jawline. She felt her fears slowly easing up. This was a great sign–she shared the same feelings about how important they were to one another. She smiled, squeezing [Y/N]’s hand even tighter. “I’m so glad.”
They stared at each other for a long while, both too afraid to say anything in fear of ruining the moment. Angie, however, came bounding over and pulled on Donna’s pant leg. “Tell her how you feel already! It’s getting dark, and I’m getting tired!” Donna shooed her away silently, her head perking up when [Y/N] giggled. “Angie, don’t rush her. She shouldn’t feel uncomfortable no matter what she has to say.”
Donna felt her heart beating faster. She stared at her for a long moment, her mind racing. “Donna? You okay?” She jumped. “Y-Yes!” [Y/N]’s eyebrows shot up in surprise at her sudden urgent tone, making Donna blush as she reflected immediately on how she answered. She cleared her throat and covered her mouth. “I-I apologize. Yes, I’m alright.” “Okay, that’s good.” “But what Angie was talking about–about me telling you…how I feel?” “Yes?” “Before I tell you, could I possibly ask if you’d promise me something?” “Of course.” “Can you promise me that you won’t leave me? That nothing will change between us?”
[Y/N] laughed nervously, but quickly composed herself a bit when she saw just how terrified and expectant Donna seemed. “I promise, but what exactly are you wanting to tell me? I’m sure nothing could be bad enough to damage our relationship.” Donna nodded, wiping her tears away and gripping [Y/N]’s trembling hand in her own. “I suppose we’ll see. I just want–I want to tell you,” her voice trailed off, her confidence faltering and crumbling.
“Take your time, okay? Don’t feel like you have to rush.” Donna remembered every word of encouragement from the people who knew about that night–Bela’s, Cassandra’s, Daniela’s, and even [Y/N]’s. She needed to get this over with. The feeling of being a burden returned–she was taking too long to get it out there. She gripped her leg tightly and took three deep breaths. Steeling her nerves, she blurted it out before she could lose her courage and back out of it again–the way she had done so many times before.
“I love you.”
She felt a weight lift off of her shoulders, though it wasn’t much. She still needed to know if [Y/N] felt the same. She pried her eye open and finally darted her gaze back up to find [Y/N]’s, only to discover that the [h/c] girl was blushing profusely. They stared at each other in silence for a long moment, making Donna even more anxious. “Did…did I ruin this?” She asked softly. [Y/N] slipped her hand from Donna’s to wave them dismissively in front of her. “Oh, no! No, Donna, not at all! I’m so sorry, I just—wasn’t expecting you to be the first one to confess.” Donna’s heart fluttered at the statement. She wanted to smile, but she needed to make sure she didn’t misinterpret the last part of the sentence.
“So…do you feel the same way?” “Yes! Yes, I do.” “Say it!” A random voice suddenly called from around the corner of the house. Both women jumped and turned to find Daniela peeking around the corner while Bela and Cassandra tried to pull her back into hiding. “What the hell?” Donna muttered, turning her attention back to [Y/N] when she laughed. “Sorry, they just really scared me,” she said in between breaths. Donna smiled warmly at her and let out a small snicker of her own. “They scared me as well.”
They gazed at each other with love-stricken grins. Finally, [Y/N] brought her hands up and took Donna’s into hers, caressing them softly before bringing her left hand up to press a light kiss to her knuckles. “I love you too,” she confessed. Donna’s heart flipped as a wide smile cracked across her lips. She stood, pulling [Y/N] to her feet, and tugged her into an embrace. “I love you so much. You have no idea how long I've dreamed of saying that to you,” she whispered. The faint sound of buzzing grew louder, and soon, Daniela was beside them, pulling them into a hug of her own. “Yes! See? I told you you could do it!” Bela and Cassandra joined nearby–Bela began to try to pry Daniela off of the two while Cassandra laughed at how ridiculous her sister was being. “Dani, leave them be! You just ruined the moment!” Donna giggled and leaned back from the hug just far enough to look over at her.
“Actually, Bela, she didn’t ruin anything. It’s alright, I promise. It’s nice to see that she’s so supportive of how [Y/N] and I feel about each other.” Bela sighed. “I’m glad, but Dani, you still need to let them go. This is their moment,” she said as she finally managed to yank her sister away from the two. Donna and [Y/N] both giggled at them before turning to stare at each other again. “So what does this mean? Are you two a thing now?” Cassandra suddenly asked as she stepped closer to the group.
The two women glanced at her before returning to each other. They studied each other’s gaze for a while, seemingly communicating without saying a word, and finally turned back to the sisters. “Yes, we are,” [Y/N] announced. Donna looked back down at her, unable to wipe the grin from her face.
“I’m so happy for you both,” Bela replied, softly patting Donna’s shoulder. “I told you this was a requited love.”

Tumblr media
tw: bl00d, mentions of torture, spoilers for sanjis wci backstory, can the end be taken as slight angst?
summary: after getting teleported to an unknown village, sanji must find a place to stay - and unfortunately for him, the old castle he found is already taken
a/n: no use of y/n. re8 is my comfort game ever since i first played it. the characters are all interesting and i wish the game was longer with us getting to know more abt them. i thought why not write a story where reader is a dimitrescu. if you havent played re8, i highly recommend! even if its titled as a horror game, its not that creepy :)

He didn't know where he was. It all happened so fast. In one moment he was up against a weird devil fruit user, and in the other, he was laying in the cold, white snow. Sanji gets up into a sitting position, supporting himself up with his hands. He looks around, observing the terrain around him. It seemed like a village, surrounded by snow-covered mountains. The wooden houses gave him the feeling that this wasn't the most modern place he's ever been to, but it was beautiful. One thing bothered him though: there was nobody.
He found it weird that noone was here, he couldn't hear any noise from the houses either. No happy kids playing in the snow, no old people chatting away on the benches, nothing. Sanji gets up, curious where everyone went. Does anybody even live here anymore? Or is this just a long forgotten inhabited village, and that's why it all seems like he was thrown back in time?
Not knowing where to go, Sanji mindlessly roams the area in hopes of finding someone or something that could help him out. He trusted his crew and that they will get him back somehow, he wasn't worried about that. He knew that there was nothing he could do about the situation, given he didn't even know where he was. But he needed food and shelter until the others find a way to reunite, and in a village he is likely to find these.
Sanji knew that there was something wrong with the village. He would ocassionally see remains of blood splatters on the walls, or broken windows and doors. Maybe he was right, this is an abandoned village. But the blood seemed like it's been there for only a day, meaning that there might be survivors of whatever is going on here.
One thing catches his eye: a giant castle on the side of the village. He could see some faint light from the windows, even if the castle was far from him, meaning that somebody is likely living there. Should he go there armed? No, he got his legs and wits, and he couldn't find a weapon anyway. He stands in front of the grand, stone gate in front of him, the castle on the other side of it. Sanji takes a deep breath, and pushes it open.
He steps trough it, findig a snow-covered trail surrounded by leafless trees, a carriage a few metres away from him parked on the side.
"I've been waiting for you, Mister Vinsmoke." A man speaks, sitting in the carriage, dressed in Victorian-era clothing.
"How do you know my name?" Sanji stops in front of him, curious how a strange man he never met knows his name.
"Blackleg Sanji, the Wing of Strawhat Luffy. I tend to know lots of things, Mister Vinsmoke. The word from the village is proven to be the truth, then. Though I must say, that castle arouses suspicion."
"Yeah, and so do you."
Sanji didn't like how this seemingly merchant knew things about him and called him by his father's name. He preferred to go by Blackleg, the name coming from his real father's, Red Leg Zeff.
"And who do you might be?" He inquires.
"I am but a humble merchant." The man chuckles.
"Here?"
"Forgive my manners. Call me the Duke." He finally introduces himself. Sanji didn't fully trust this man.
"Earlier you said that the castle arouses suspicion. What did you mean by that?"
"That place is full of nothing but blood and death. Nobody ever comes back from there. It's under the management of Lady Dimitrescu." The Duke explains.
"Lady Dimitrescu?" Sanji murmurs to himself. A castle under a woman's rule? Maybe this place isn't so bad after all... "Thank you for your help."
Sanji walks away after this, heading towards the castle. Now he was even more curious about it. Does the castle look more modern on the inside? Who is Lady Dimitrescu? Could he live here until the crew defeats the devil fruit user and he can get back to them? He was hoping that this woman will be kind enough to give him some ingredients to cook and a room where he can sleep. The castle was big anyway, she probably wouldn't mind if he stayed there for a bit.
Here he was, at the castle's entrance. Sanji gupled as he opened the door, trying to be as quiet as possible. He closes them behind himself as quietly as he opened them, and makes its way further into the castle. He was amazed by the interior. The floor was clean, the shiny wooden planks and the sole of his dress shoes creating a clicking noise as he explores the hallways. The walls were a dark shade of green, with some brownish-crimson wood elements, it all looked straight out of a tale.
He stumbles upon the main hall. His eyes widen at the sight. The room is illuminated by the light of the candles placed on the huge chandelier, a large, intricated staircase leading to the second floor while the white tiles shine on the floor. Sanji is mesmerized, findig the whole setting elegant. He was suddenly snapped out of his trance by a voice behind him.
"Who are you?! And what are you doing here?!" Sanji turns around to find a fuming girl standing there, dressed in an all black dress, the hood of it on her head, her eye makeup matching the colour of her outfit.
Sanji froze. He didn't expect this.
"A-are you Lady Dimitrescu?" He shakily asks.
"No, but if she finds out you're here, you'll end up just like all the other men. Same if my sisters find you. They have a lot less self control than I do..." the girl approaches Sanji.
~○~
You stare at the man in front of you, his slightly dissheveled blonde hair covering one of his eyes, the black suit he was wearing perfectly fitting him.
"What do you mean by that, ma cherie?" He asks.
"Mother hates men. And just intruders in general." You tell him, remembering what happened to the last person who entered the castle. Your mom did seem to like the wine made from his blood.
"I-I mean no harm, I promise! I just need cooking materials, and I was wondering if I could sleep here? Please, I'll make food for you, just let me stay for a bit. Just until I can get back to my crew!" He begs, holding your hands together.
You wanted to decline, to send him away before your mother or one of your sisters find him, or before you end up killing him yourself. But he looked at you with such kind eyes, and it seemed like he wasn't scared of you at all. Did he not know anything? About who or what you were? That you could tear his throat out any second? He was holding your hands so gently, like you could break at any moment, staring at you with his cerulean eyes.
"I can't. You came to the worst place possible, run while you can." You break free from his touch, turn around and head back to the direction where you came from. It was for the best. If he stays, he'll just get tortured and killed.
"No, please, I-" he starts, but can't find the right words to finish. So, he just stood there, not moving a muscle, waiting for you to change your mind.
"Who is this manthing?" You hear an all too familiar voice behind you. You turn around, only to see the man with wide eyes, your mother looming over him. Of course she did, she was eight foot tall. This was the end for the man, you knew it. But he did nothing wrong, and he just felt different, you can't just hand him over to your mother.
"What have I told you about men?" Her voice was menacing, and if looks could kill, you would be dead right now.
"I know mother, and I apologise. I stumbled upon him by accident." You explain.
~○~
Sanji didn't flinch. He didn't move, he froze. He didn't turn around to see who or what was behind him, he could feel the presence and see the huge shadow created by the person. His mind was going a million ways, not even being able to focus on the conversation you were having with who he assumed was your mother. One thing he did notice was how your expression changed when you saw her, how you looked so... afraid. Did this woman behind him do something wrong to you? Your complete aura changed, it was noticable. He knew that there's no way he'll fight a woman, and he also knew that the crew won't be here to save him this time. This might be the end for him. He feels as the woman behind him breathes down his neck, then suddenly bites into it.
Sanji grunts, the teeth of the woman deep in his throat. He didn't know what was going on. Is this how he's going to die? No, because the woman pulled back, and he was still alive, standing, breathing, and he could still feel as his heart was beating in his chest. He could hear the two women talking, but his mind was too out of its place to understand what the conversation was about. And that was the last thing he knew before fainting.

He woke up, chained to the wall in some unkown room. The quiet cracklig of the fireplace gave him a slight comfort, but the pain wouldn't go away. He had to figure out an escape plan, quick. He tried to wiggle himself out the handcuffs, but to no avail.
Just then, a bunch of flies flooded the room, all in the same spot until the seemed to merge together, forming a human-like figure.
"Didn't know you could do that..." he quietly says.
"There are so many things you don't know about me, Vinsmoke Sanji." The girl from earlier says.
"How do you know my name? My manners seemed to dissapear when we first met, i apologise."
"The Duke. He sometimes pays us a visit. He was here this morning while you were here, passed out."
"Well, I didn't even ask you your name, ma cherie. I'm Sanji, I'll get you out of here in no time." Sanji smiles down at her.
"Hm, to me it looks like you're the one who needs to be saved." She looks up at Sanji, who was still chained to the wall. She was right.
"I guess you're not here to save me. Going to bite?" He asks.
"I could. I warned you about my mother and sisters, you didn't listen. Look where it got you."
"What will they do with me? A bunch of pretty ladies sucking all my blood out? It's a better way to go than some I can imagine."
"Don't worry, it's gonna be quicker than that. And a lot more painful. Mother said you'd make some pretty good wine."
"I can in fact make wines, if that's what you wish for."
"Not like that."
"Oh."
The awkward silence set in before being broken by the girl's sigh as she took steps towards Sanji.
"What are you doing, cherie?"
"You want to die here? You mentioned that you got a crew somewhere. Think about them at least." She says, her hands on Sanji's handcuff holding him to the wall. He feels as the first handcuff loosens, and he pulls out his hand from it, looking at the girl in disbelief.
Both handcuffs fell off Sanji's hand, freeing him. He was speechless. This girl that he met yesterday, the one whose mother possesed major hatred towards men and the person who tied him up like this, who could end his life right in this moment just saved his life.
"I don't want to leave you here. Please, come with me. I can see you're not happy here with her." He holds his hand out for the girl to grab, but she doesn't do it. Instead, she looks down, and Sanji knows he was right. She really didn't like it here.
"I... I can't." She holds back her tears, her nails digging into her palm. "A few seconds in the cold air, and I freeze to death. And I mean I turn into a literal ice sculpture and die. I'm not a human like you. I might even end up causing you harm. You felt what my mother did to you. She's a vampire, and so am I."
Sanji is quiet for a few seconds. He doesn't know how to reply. He didn't want to leave her here to suffer under her mother, especially knowing that he could've done something about it.
"That's not a problem. I'll keep you warm if that's what is holding you back. I trust you that you won't bite me. You could've done it the moment we met, but you didn't. I don't care if you are a vampire, we have stranger people on the crew than that. Maybe our talking reindeer could even help you so that you won't freeze to death when it's cold."
She was stunned. This man she met yesterday spoke so kindly to her like nobody ever did before. Not her mother, not her sisters, nobody. She wanted to go, to join the crew, to be free, to know Sanji better, maybe the other crew members too. Talking reindeer? She was interested. She only knew the definition of "friends" from books she was forbidden to read, but now she could have the chance to experience what it's like.
"I... I'm just an experiment, I..." she tries to protest, holding back tears. She wanted to leave, really, but her mother wouldn't approve this. She never got to experience life outside the castle, or see what was outside the walls.
"Looks like we have something in common, then." Sanji warmly smiles. He knew what it felt like. "But now I have a loving crew, and most of the times I forget this part of my past. You can do it, too." He gives reassuring smile. He can't leave her here.
He was right. She lived here so long, the village reminding her every day of the reason of her existence, that she's just the product of some crazy scientist woman's experiments. But now she can leave this behind. Just like Sanji did.
She looks down at Sanji's hand, still held out for her. This time, she places hers into the blonde's, ready to leave.

Pairing: Leon S. Kennedy/female!reader
Summary: The reader is struck by some mysterious aching in her back during her and Leon's mission to save the President's daughter. The pain is revealed to be something far greater than she anticipated. Will this jeopardize her relationship with Leon?
Chapter 1: The Village
It happened on one of your missions. Of course it did.
You were slower with your reflexes to attacks. As an agent in STRATCOM, this was highly unusual. Your partner and lover, Leon, had noticed, while the two of you were on your mission in Spain.
You first took notice to the slow reactions when doing, or trying, a roundhouse kick on a Ganado at the lakeside settlement. Your body decided nope, you're not doing that, and surprisingly, you agreed. The act of even attempting it sent a rigid feeling, or perhaps a pretty nasty sting, to your back.
When you stopped to catch your breath, one Ganado lunged for your throat. You repeatedly punched the bastard to death, with little to no trouble. However, unbeknownst to you, there were two others behind you. One Ganado kicked the back of your knees, and before you could even react, you were pinned to the ground, and they kicked you. In the back. Repeatedly.
They were possessed but that didn't make them stupid, you supposed. They must have noticed your reaction to the pain in your back, which was now being beaten like a fucking punching bag.
Despite it hurting like a bitch, you're able to unsheathe your combat knife, and roll over to swipe at their legs. Before you can whip out your handgun, two shots ring out, and the two Ganados promptly drop dead. Leon helps you up, grasping your arms ever so delicately.
"You alright?"
"Yeah. Yeah, I'm good." You answer, slightly out of breath. Leon only nods, looking back ahead on the path, but you don't miss the concerned look that grazes his features.
This has never happened before. What the fuck is going on with me?
Despite the occasional flash of pain that inflicted your back, you carried on with the mission. You and Leon had gotten split up at the lakeside settlement shortly after your beating.
You knew Leon could handle himself, but at one point, he was radio silent for hours. You'd shared your concerns with Hunnigan, and she agreed it was unusual. Eventually, he came to, to your relief.
"Leon, are you alright? You haven't made contact with me for hours." You couldn't mask the fear that surfaced in your voice.
"Yeah, I'm okay. Was busy making sushi. It won't happen again." He must have been referencing that giant fucking creature in the lake that you saw villagers getting eaten by earlier. Well, at least you got someplace to start looking for Leon.
"Okay. Don't do that again, love."
"Wouldn't dream of it, sweetheart."
Eventually you both reunited and retrieved the pieces to obtain the church key. Fucking finally.
The two of you rescued Ashley and were headed to the extraction point. It was fairly easy to get to the Villa, but an unfamiliar face ushered the three of you inside, away from the Ganados on your tail.
Leon, to say the least, was pissed at this dude and pushed him against the wall. You couldn't help the slight arousal that shot to your core seeing him like this, wishing it was you in this unknown man's position. But there was no time for that now. Ashley needed to be taken to safety and there was a huge fight approaching you guys and the rest of the village.
Once introducing yourselves to one Luis Sera, save for Leon, Ashley went into hiding and the three of you started blocking the windows and readying your weapons.
As if this mission couldn't get any more difficult, the Villa was quickly swarmed by villagers and eventually, a fucking Brute out of all things busts in.
"Fuck my life!" you curse out in frustration, reloading your pistol.
"Language, señorita!" Luis shouts at you, jokingly. Somehow through all the chaos, he was able to hear you.
"Shut it, you." you snap back. That was weird. I don't tend to be that snippy. Probably just stress from the mission.
"Yikes, sorry." he responded immediately. You felt a slight pang of guilt, but that was quickly replaced by the renewed determination to get out of this hellhole. Noticing Leon slowly getting cornered by the brute, and the second floor being crowded with Plaga Guadañas, you pull out two flash grenades from your belt.
"Flash grenades coming!" you shout, pulling pins on both grenades, and throw one to the brute, and one to the Guadañas. The Plaga Guadañas promptly die, and the brute is temporarily incapacitated. Given the opportunity, Leon blasts four shotgun shells into it, and finally, fucking finally, it drops dead.
The Ganados kept coming in waves, and there seemed to be no end to it.
"Hey! This way! Hurry!" Ashley opens a door leading to an escape.
The four of you get the bat out of hell, but only for a moment. You all reach the end of a bridge, still having Ganados chasing you. You notice chains keeping up a gate, and promptly shoot it, causing the gate to drop on an unfortunate villager.
You all take a moment to catch your breath, and then Ashley starts coughing. Coughing up blood.
"Ashley?!" You hear Leon voicing your same concern.
"Wh-What's happening to me?" she trembles.
Luis quickly approaches her, looking like he knows what's up.
"Ashley, is this the first time you've coughed up blood like this?" she only nods, and before you can even ask, Leon beats you to the punch.
"You wanna start explaining?"
Luis reveals that Ashley is infected with a plaga, and she could end up like those villagers, but there is a cure. You notice Leon's reaction to this; him clenching his fist, looking down at his arm. What's that about? You wonder, sorta worried, but maybe that's just you being a doting partner. Yeah, that's probably it.
Hopefully, the three of you can find that cure in time.
Luis leaves shortly after this revelation, claiming that the reason for his assistance is that it "makes him feel better." About what exactly? This mission is leaving you with more questions than answers. You knew this wasn't gonna be a simple mission, but you wish it was.
After a briefing with Hunnigan, which left some more bad news, you all start moving again. You didn't get very far, as that pain in your back came back, which oddly enough, afflicted your lower abdomen as well.
Leon and Ashley turn to you when they hear your sharp gasp, to see you clutching your lower back and your other hand resting on your abdomen. The two swiftly approach you, Leon especially.
"You okay?" Ashley asks, concerned.
"Yeah, it's just my back hurting from earlier."
"Earlier?" Ashley presses further.
"Two Ganados got the jump on me and kicked the shit out of my back."
"...Jesus. Are you okay to move?"
"Yeah, don't worry about me. Let's keep going."
"Hold on. Ashley, could you give me a minute with her?" Leon directs his gaze to you, failing to mask any concern from his features.
"O-Of course."
Checking to see the two of you are at a safe distance from Ashley, Leon begins his questioning.
"Are you sure you're alright?" He gently caresses your left arm, the two of you in closer proximity to each other. You sigh.
"I'm okay, Leon. Let's just worry about her." You nod your head in her direction, maintaining eye contact with him. You bring his hand to you, gripping it firmly in your hands. "I'll tell you if something is wrong." You gently kiss his knuckles, and trace along his forearm. You sneak a glance at it to see what he was looking at moments earlier, only to find nothing unusual.
"It's just-"
"I'll be okay, mon cœur.”
Sighing, Leon brings his hand to your face, letting it linger, with his eyes searching yours for any hint of a lie, only to find none. He lets his hand drop, and he starts walking along the path, with you and Ashley following suit.

With the Resident Evil 4 remake coming out soon, I was reminded of my old Resident Evil fan sequel and figured I’d post about it here!
Resident Evil: Abyss (RE 9 Concept)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
! Spoilers For RE: Revelations, RE 5, and RE Village !
Resident Evil: Abyss follows the story of Raymond Vester (A side character from Resident Evil Revelations) and his time in the costal city of Redhaven. After the events of Revelations, Raymond worked as a spy for TRICELL until it’s collapse following the events in Resident Evil 5, in which he fled to Greece in order to escape the BSAA. His sanctuary ended up being the isolated, yet idyllic costal city of Redhaven. He ends up joining the police force there, and believes that his troubles are behind him.
Raymond is extremely uptight and cautious, with constant nightmares reminding him of what he went through on The Queen Zenobia. He prefers to do the job and do it well, making him an ideal officer, despite his cold attitude. With a slight fear of the ocean and tight spaces, Raymond opts to work with a partner in order to make sure his job is done effectively.
Tumblr media
RE: Abyss would follow an optional multiplayer system and duo group system, such as the one in RE:4, 5, and Revelations. Currently, Raymond has two optional partners for when exploring the game.
The first is Jackson Fenris, nicknamed Mako after his encounter with a Mako shark, victoriously claiming a tooth from the creature that he now wears as his iconic necklace. An ex-special forces member, Mako is extremely upbeat and positive, seen as the perfect golden child by the locals for the RPD. He considers himself Raymonds friend, despite the latter not communicating much outside of work. He doesn’t talk much about his past, instead opting to focus on the future and being loyal to his team. He’s always trying to get Raymond to come out of his shell, even if it’s to his own detriment.
Tumblr media
The second option is Chief Sienna Graham, the leader of the Redhaven Police Force. A loud and relaxed leader, Sienna previously worked as a doctor before an injury sent her entire life crumbling. Upon moving to Redhaven, she joined the police force and later was promoted to Chief of Police for her efforts. Despite her relaxed and often lazy outward demeanor, she is a driven and loyal officer, always working for the good of the community.
Tumblr media
It’s not just main characters that have been designed. Shopkeepers and even an assistant/support character have been designed, along with a concept for the first boss fight!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I’ll probably start posting more of my other stuff on here, considering it seems to be doing well. Anyways, enjoy!

Thoughts on RE4 and Code Veronica Remakes
Notice: This contains spoilers for many of the entries in the Resident Evil series including but not limited to, the video games especially Code Veronica/Code Veronica X, Resident Evil 2/ RE2 remake, RE4 and possibly RE4 remake, Dark Side Chronicles, Umbrella Chronicles, and RE Umbrella Corps, as well as the movie Welcome to Raccoon City.
Summery: This is simply me, as a Code Veronica fan, writing out my thoughts on why Capcom probably and understandably made a remake of RE4 before CV, and why it might be quite a while before we get a CV remake at all. (Also note: while I did proof read this I am also dyslexic, so there’s a good chance that there are still spelling/writing mistakes I missed.)
There are a list of people (myself included) that while excited for the Resident Evil 4 remake news also had one, burning question, “Why was this made before a Code Veronica remake?” It certainly is a good question because releasing them out of chronological and original game release order could lead to confusion story-wise. Another reason that this was confusing to me, was the fact that there is a direct reference to the opening events of Code Veronica in the RE2 remake with the note that Chris leaves for Barry in the STARS office for Clair to find and use to trace the the European branch of Umbrella. The more I thought over it though, the more reasons that popped up that would make it understandable why Capcom might have decided to release RE4 before they released Code Veronica, and I decided to write them down as a way to get the thought to stop chewing on my brain.
1. Monetary and Popularity Reasons
One of, if not the main reason for this release order, is probably because the simple fact that Resident Evil 4 is one of the most popular games in the series. Now that Capcom knows that their consumers are once more invested with the Resident Evil games, but also have had mostly positive reception to the remakes as a whole, they would certainly want to bring back one of their most beloved games in what is seemingly the peak of this new popularity. Add to it the fact that the general look and aesthetics of their newest main numbered game, RE VIII : Village, has a very reminiscent feeling to that of RE 4, then you have a good case for remaking RE4 first. This could broaden the sales as people who have only recently been introduced to the series through Village, might be more inclined to buy another one of the games if it looked very similar to the one that they are used to.
2. Introduction to characters
Or, more specifically the introduction of the character of Albert Wesker. If there is going to be a remake of Code Veronica, it most likely is going to have all of the content from the special edition version, Code Veronica X. This includes extra plot lines that have Albert Wesker in them. Seeing as Wesker has not been in any of the main Resident Evil games since RE 5, and has not shown up in any of the remakes at all, other than there being a phone call from HUNK to what some of the original games say are him, it is understandable that the teams working on the remakes wouldn’t want to make the first game that he shows up in one where he’s basically a cameo character.
It would make things confusing for people that have just recently entered the Resident Evil games through the modern and remake games as the only reference to him at all are how in the RE3 remake Jill has a nightmare of the mansion incident, which doesn’t show anything, especially not the other members of the STARS team, as well as a breakneck explication of her being in STARS that doesn’t even cover that Brad was in the group as well as he was killed in a different way from the original game(a horde of zombies rather than being hunted down by Nemesis because of his status as a STARS member), and the slight nod to the character of Wesker with one of the most powerful guns in RE VII being named, “Albert.” I feel like the team working on the Resident Evil games at the moment most likely want to show him first in something like a RE 1 remake, but seeing as there already is one, even if it’s twenty years old(that fact just killed me), they might not be too fast to do another remake of it.
3. Alfred Ashford
Here’s the short version
Look, I went a little overboard and turned this into its own whole essay type thing over here.
Basically, due to the limited understanding and general biases from when the original game was made, Alfred’s character has some questionable writing in the departments of mental illness and queer representation. If they were wanting to make a remaking in 2022, they are going to have to rewrite some things about him. And, I think one of the last things that they want is the queer community upset with them because they handled one of the only blatantly queer coded characters from the original series flippantly. So, they are most likely taking their time with the writing for that remake.
Conclusion
After all of that however, there is still hope that there will be a remake and that hopefully it isn’t too far away. As mentioned, one of the reasons that they might be waiting is to be able to introduce Wesker to new fans as you sort of need to have a basic understanding of him for his parts in CV. There could be the dramatic reveal at the end of the RE4 remake like there was in the original, and that could open the way for the other games that he’s in to start being remade as well, CV included. Also, there might be a reason for Capcom to have given Dead by Daylight permission to use his character, as Jill and Nemesis were added to that game to create hype for the RE3 remake. So, something similar might be happening with Wesker.
There’s also the fact that Capcom has not entirely abandoned the Ashford twins, as they let the writers of the movie Welcome to Raccoon City give them a cameo via the film reel of them with the insects. Now, seeing as that movie was a re-imagining of the RE universe as a whole, they might play a slightly different roll than what they did in the original game. But, they were still important enough to mention.
Over all, it’s totally understandable that they would want to remake Resident Evil 4 before Code Veronica. And, I’m mostly alright with it as long as we do get a Code Veronica remake at some point.

Interesting thing I just realized about the Four Lords & Miranda
So, we know that Resident Evil: Village takes place somewhere in Romania. You can tell because the currency in game is Liu, which is the real-life name of Romania’s currency. But when thinking about the Four Lords and Miranda, something struck me as odd. Namely, none of them seem to actually be directly of Romanian decent, at least based off their names. Let’s start with easiest origins to hardest.
Donna Beneviento: Although the surname does not seem like an actual surname (or at lest is not common enough to have been listed on sites like Behind the Name), the origins for both are definitely Italian in origin. Donna, though being a name mostly used in English, comes from the Italian word for “lady”. While Beneviento could come from a few places. For one, it could be taken from a city in Italy called Benevento. Second, it could be a combination of the Italian word for good “bene” and the Spanish word for wind “viento”. And finally, the surname also sounds similar to “benvenuto” an Italian word meaning welcome. Another note is her mother’s name, Claudia. Although the name is used in many different countries, it is included as being both Romanian and Italian. Heck, the name is even pronounced the same between the two (KLOW-dya rather than the English KLAW-dee-ə). This could mean that Donna’s mother was either a village native or a foreigner like presumably her father. Angie is a very similar case. Though the name Angie itself is more of a specifically English name, it is a shortened form of Angela, a name that does again appear in both Italian and Romanian. But for the most part here, all roads lead to Rome(an Italy).
Karl Heisenberg: While the name Karl can come from a a good many places, based on his surname I’d say he’s German. “Heisen” likely comes from the German word “heißen”, meaning to call. Meanwhile, “berg”, meaning mountain, is a common word used in Germanic surnames. Though, to be fair, the reasonings behind the surname could also be aplied to Norwegian as well. But I doubt a surname would uses the word for “the elevator” in it. So yeah, I’d say it’s safe to say he’s German.
Miranda: Since she doesn’t have a surname to worry about, that means we’ve only got to worry about her on a first name basis. Miranda is a name that can be found in both English and Dutch. Now, I can’t be quite sure which side of that to pin her down as. Hell, even the name Eva doesn’t help much as it’s found all over the fucking place. My best guess would be that she leans more towards English decent, but either or could go.
Salvatore Moreau: Here is where we get into the trickier ones. Now, Salvatore, at least based on the spelling, is the Italian variation of Salvador. However, we never got a pronunciation of the name (at least to my knowledge) so it could be either “sal-va-TO-reh” or “sal-va-TOR”, which if it was the later would make the name more similar to a Late Roman version of the name, Salvator (note the lack of terminal e). Though, one other thing to note is that apparently during certain periods of the 1900′s, it was also a relatively popular French name. Thankfully, Moreau is the one surname of the four that actually shows up on Behind the Name. It’s listed as a French diminutive of the Late Roman name Maurus. Based on all that, I would guess that he’s probably French. Frog legs, yum.
Alcina Dimitrescu: Now this is where we truly enter Village of Shadows difficulty here. For one, Alcina is a name that originated in theater, specifically from an opera of the same name. Although the name is sometimes attributed as a feminine version of the Greek Alcinous. Her last name’s origin is not better. Her name comes from “Dimitr” the Slavic rendering of Demeter with the  Romanian patronym, “escu”. On top of all that, in-game, the name is pronounced as if it were French. Her daughter’s names aren’t much help either. Bela, based on how it’s spelled, is either Georgian, Spanish, or Portuguese, Cassandra is English, French, and Greek, and Daniela is all over the place. So, my best guess is that Alcina is either Greek, Slavic, or is actually the only household that actually has any amount of Romanian decent.
“So what?” I hear you ask. “It’s an RE game, it’s not like any of this is actually important.” But there is another aspect I’d like to point out. And that is the names of the other villagers. All of them are Romanian names. Even Elena’s last name, Lupu, is a Romanian surname. So this does beg the question, just why and how did four families find their way to a middle of nowhere village in Romania and establish themselves as the fore-founders of it?

Hello dear! Have a wonderful day! Could you please write some headcanons for Mr.Heisenberg whose little hobby is teasing and embarrassing his sensitive and shy beloved? Thank you very much!
Hi darling! I apologize for the long wait but life has been kicking my butt lately. Here are the headcanons you requested and I hope they were worth the wait. Enjoy 💕
Pairing: Karl Heisenberg x Reader (Gender Neutral) [Resident Evil Village]
Warnings: Minor SPOILERS for the game Resident Evil Village, Swearing, Flirting
Genre: FLUFF, Comfort, Romance
- You've recently been having a hard time keeping yourself busy while Karl works on his projects
- It mostly has to do with Donna not being home for the week so you can't go exchange books with her as you usually do
- That being said, to avoid spending your time blankly staring at a wall, you've resorted to instead stare at something more interesting
- Your lover who, although he'd never admit to it, feels a little nervous under your gaze even while working a practice that's in no way new to him
- To be fair, how can you notice the slight blush on his cheeks when you're too busy admiring his craft albeit from afar
- Yet he still finds a way to make you blush harder
- "Some people would say it's rude to stare but I disagree. It's flattering." He says out of the blue, breaking the long period of silence that had befallen the room
- "W-What are you talking about?" You're rightfully confused, almost as if woken out of a dream state which is the closest way to describe the feeling if we're being honest
- "I feel your eyes on me, darling, you don't have to lie." He makes it a point to turn his head, his glasses having slid down the bridge of his nose so you're able to see his icy eyes looking at you with a contradicting warmth, "It won't work, you should know that by now."
- Cue the redness of your cheeks, neck and ears
- "N-No, I really wasn't staring, I swear!" You'd attempt to defend yourself in a flustered, embarrassed frenzy, knowing it's not useful
- Not when Karl knows you so well
- "Sure you weren't." He gives you a lopsided smirk, one that hints at him knowing all your secrets, as if he can see right past your skull and read your thoughts
- He's always been good at that which hasn't boded well for you, all things considered
- The small teases, smirks and winks are more than enough to want you to curve in a ball or hide in your shell like a turtle, being the shy sunshine you are
- Shy sunshine, he came up with that
- "Like when the sun peeks through the clouds on a gloomy day." He'd explained, the double-entendre making you giggle
- Now it's your most prized nickname and you refuse to ever let anyone use it on you other than him
- Even if it makes you grin from ear to ear and blush like crazy when he uses it to refer to you

Karl Heisenberg x reader
Word Count: 1.9k
Warnings: borderline nsfw like I thought real hard about it, weapons, talks of murder, slight spoilers for resident evil 8
Author’s Note: just impulsively wrote this and am posting it promptly after writing so it has not been edited. Besties im down bad about this sarcastic basterd (also if anyone wants a nsfw part 2...i am willing to provide) (or any other requests for him and Alcina, my favorite bi panic people rn)
Summary: You run into Ethan in Castle Dimitrescu on your way back to the factory.
I don’t own these characters. They belong to author/director
(not my gif)
Tumblr media
Ethan Winters genuinely just wanted his daughter back. He was so sick and tired of going through this village in an attempt to save her, running into every possible inconvenience he could find and knowing that he would probably lose fingers fighting them.
Castle Dimitrescu was vast and regal. He might have liked it if he wasn’t running for his and his daughters' lives from the four vampires that lived there.
He was crouched down, holding a gun up as he walked very quietly and carefully throughout the house so as to not alert any of the Dimitrescu daughters. He opened one of the unlocked doors carefully and immediately stopped moving at the sight of someone.
You wore no cloak, to signify that you were a daughter and you were much shorter than the lady of the house. You grabbed one of the lipsticks that Alicna had plenty of and leaned over the vanity to see how it looked on you.
Ethan stood up and held the gun up to your head. You raised an eyebrow, looking at him from the mirror reflection.
“Who are you?” he asked, voice rough. Rougher than his face looked. You put on the lipstick and then rubbed your lips together.
“Do you think this is my color?” He shoved the gun further into your head and you scoffed. “Fine fine. Not one for makeup eh?” You put your hands up and turned around. He let you sit down on the vanity but not without his gun still pointing at your skull. You seemed unphased which would have been weird if Ethan wasn’t incredibly desensitized to everything ever.
“Who are you? Are you one of the vampires? One of the other family members? Who are you?!” You put your hands slowly down on your lap. He let you, but you were testing his patience.
“Not quite.” You gestured to him. “I’m human. Like you. Well not like you, I’m completely human, no mutations or anything done.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?” he hissed. You waved him off.
“If you hurt me, you will have Karl on your head and I imagine it won’t be pretty. It’s the only way I can get from Castle to Castle unharmed,” you told him.
“Karl?”
“You know, fun hat, frizzy hair, has that big hammer thing. Karl.”
“Heisenberg?” You nodded.
“Yes Ethan, I thought you were smarter than this.” Ethan shook his head quickly and then regained focus, his hand holding the gun shaking a bit.
“Where’s Rose?” You shrugged.
“Fuck if I know Ethan Winters. I’m just the person who lives in a factory and becomes a nuisance for each and every Lord.” He jabbed the gun at your head and you didn’t even flinch.
“You’re lying.”
“Truthfully, I am not. If I knew where Rose was I would at least give you a hint, just to make it interesting.”
“What is Heisenberg to you?” he asked. You smiled a bit, crossing your legs.
“I’m Heisenberg's...girlfriend for lack of a better word. Whatever Mia was to you.” His mind flashed back to Mia. He had barely been able to mourn her. He shook the thought out of his head.
“You know how to get out of here and get Rose yes?”
“I know how to get out of here. How to get Rose, I have no idea. We’ve been over this.”
“But Heisenberg knows and if I can bring you to him, he can tell me.” You shook your head gently.
“Ethan sweetie...I could call for Alcina or the girls at any time and they would be in here in seconds to tear you to pieces.”
“Not before I could pull this trigger.”
“Again, if you so much as scratch me, you’ll never breath non metal infused air again.” Ethan shook his head gently and took a deep breath. He grabbed the gun at you again. He was silent and then he lowered it.
“I’ll just be going then,” he muttered, defeated. You nodded pleasantly and stood up from sitting on the vanity. You put the lipstick back on it. You walked forward and put your hand on Ethan’s shoulder. He looked you in the eyes.
“Good luck Ethan Winters.” You started to leave but turned to him. “I do suggest that in order to save your daughter you don’t kill Alicna’s in the process.”
“Any bits of advice then?” You put your hand on the doorknob and turned it, opening it just a tad.
“Grab the masks for the main room. Do you have a map?” He handed it to you, a tattered old piece of paper. You grabbed the lipstick again and marked some places. “Avoid hurting them as much as you can.”
“Why are you helping me?”
“I don’t like Mother Miranda. I don’t trust Mother Miranda. She is the one who has your daughter I’m sure or she must know where she is. But the Dimitrescus and Karl...even Donna for that matter, are people I like and trust.”
You stepped back outside the room.
“If I hear you’ve killed any of the daughters, I’ll tell them what I know of you. If you think the Dimitrescus are scary, just wait until you meet Donna.”
You shut the door in his face. Ethan shivered.
====
You walked up the stairs to the second floor. You knocked on the door of Alcinas room and she swang it open. She took a sigh of relief.
“Thank God. I thought you were Ethan Winters.”
“You think Ethan would knock before coming in?” She scoffed. You held her the lipstick you were wearing.
“Where did you find that?”
“Downstairs where I ran into Ethan,” you said honestly. Her eyes went wide and her lips pursed in annoyance.
“Did you see the girls?”
“No but I’m sure one of them ran into him as he left the room. He was only there a couple of minutes ago, it shouldn't be that hard to find him.” She walked past you without saying goodbye. You huffed. “You’re welcome!”
=====
You made it back to the factory in just a couple of minutes. You had gotten so used to the walk that you were on autopilot the whole time before you were back to your room. Karl was already there, clearly taking a quick break before returning to his never ending work day.
“Where did you go?!” he asked, walking up to you from the bathroom. He put his hand on your arm and you grabbed his glasses which were hanging from his shirt. He had shed the jacket and hat, clearly about to shower.
“Relax, I was just at Alcinas castle,” you told him gently. He let out an annoyed exaggerated sigh that you knew all too well.
“How is my sister?” he asked. You took the lipstick out of your pocket. Alcina hadn’t actually taken it in her fit of rage to go and get Ethan. Now you had something extra for your own personal vanity back at the factory.
“Shy of one more lipstick.” You walked past him into the bathroom. He followed you as you placed it carefully on your vanity. You admired it for a second with a smile on your face. You wrapped an arm around yourself and turned back to him. You hoisted yourself onto the bathroom counter. “I ran into Ethan Winters.”
His face, which had been admiring your new addition to the vanity which was full of stolen things and things he had acquired for you, turned sour. Karl put his hand on your arm and raised it, checking your side and arm for injuries.
“I told you not to leave the room until he was caught,” he grumbled. He was trying to act like he hadn’t been worried about you from the second he realized you were gone. He was trying to ignore the fact that he himself almost stomped to each of the Lord’s castles to make sure you were alright. He didn’t want you to run into Ethan Winters, that was his worst nightmare. Ethan didn’t have any regard for you. Ethan just wanted Rose. “Are you hurt?” You shook your head.
“No. He asked me if I knew where Rose was and held a gun to my head but in the end we parted ways peacefully.”
“You could have brought him back here,” he muttered.
“I told Alcina where he was. I figured she could take care of him. You already had your shot.” He rolled his eyes and his grip on your arm tightened.
“You could have been seriously hurt. The Lord’s won’t hurt you but Mother Miranda might, Ethan might have.” You brought your free hand up to his cheek and leaned forward so your lips were just barely brushing over his.
“I can take care of myself.” He pressed a harsh kiss against your lips and made a low groaning noise. He let go of your arm to grab your leg and part them so that he could stand between your thighs. He dipped his head to kiss you and you pressed your body against him, feeling every inch of his breathing.
There was a harsh rasp at the door and he pulled away. You grabbed his neck and shook his head, kissing his jaw and peppering kisses down his neck.
“Come on, Mother Miranda doesn’t need you that bad,” you whispered. You pressed a long kiss to his jaw again and he had to physically tear himself away, however much it pained him.
“She might,” he grumbled. You held him until he moved too far away for you to. You groaned and put your head against the wall beside the mirror.
“Maybe I should go and find Ethan Winters again to finish the job. I mean he may only have eight fingers but he’s stayed alive this long and-” He grabbed your arm that was waving around as you spoke and looked you dead in the eyes.
“I will finish the job. You just sit tight kitten.” You kissed his knuckles and then let him go.
“Better be quick Karl. I get very restless very easily.”
He put on his hat and coat (the opposite of either of you wanted in the moment) and slammed the door in frustration against Mother Miranda behind him.
You took a deep breath and hoped he wouldn’t be gone too long.

A Mother and her Children ( RE8 Lords x Reader )
Warning(s): This will be a bit different than the game itself. One of the main big differences is the timeline. The game occurs in a day (or a couple of days) but this will last longer overall. Ethan will be in the village for one month (approximately). This is to allow for more story development. The plot will be the same so heavy spoilers for the rest of the game!  This is going to be the beginning of a collection of one-shots surrounding the Resident Evil 8 - Village universe. The stories may follow a Harem-type trope where multiple people are interested in the reader.

The next one will either focus on Ethan or the Daughters of Lady Dimitrescu! Title: A Mother and her Children Pairing: RE8 Lords x Reader Fandom: Resident Evil - Village Word Count: 2,710 Chapter: Two Previous Part  ● Next Part
Tumblr media
Life was not fair, that much was obvious. It wasn't fair that Rose got kidnapped. It isn't fair that Ethan has to go through all of this just to get his daughter back. And it definitely wasn't fair that you were being forced to this meeting with Mother Miranda. With the tension continuously building on your shoulders, you wondered if you were walking to your death. The powerful woman couldn't want anything good. She had let you go unnoticed for so long, why was she demanding your presence now? She could have come to the Duke at any point to see you...Why now?
As your feet brought you closer to the Mother, you remembered the one time you had seen her when you were young. She had come to visit the Duke and you had been forced to go to the village to deliver something, but what the Duke didn't know was that you had finished early and came back before the woman left. As you hid in the trees, you listened to what they were talking about. It was strange and you didn't understand most of it.
The lady was talking about a vessel and injecting a pregnant woman with a Cadou, whatever that was. The Duke was not happy with whatever she was saying. That had been the only time you had ever heard the Duke raise his voice. It was scary. He yelled about a deal they had and Mother Miranda ended up leaving. To this day, you wondered what the Duke had been so angry about.
Heisenberg pushed open the heavy doors and your fears were confirmed. Lady Dimitrescu sat on the left side of the chapel in a chair that must have been custom-made for her. Next to her, Donna and Angie looked tiny. Angie began to bounce when she noticed you standing behind the larger man. Lord Moreau was squirming in his seat to the right. His expression was a mixture between nervousness and excitement. It made you shiver though you were not cold. Heisenberg casually flopped down on the bench next to Moreau. The fish man pushed himself farther to the side as if he didn't want to touch Heisenberg. It was more likely that it was Heisenberg who didn't want to touch the man and had physically proven that in the past.
Right in the middle like a queen on her throne was Mother Miranda. You felt like you couldn't swallow due to the sheer intimidation that radiated off of her. Yet, though her eyes were covered, you could tell that she was happy due to the slight smile on her lips. Why did that make you even more frightened? You wished that you could just close your eyes and wake up from this bad dream. With a small pinch, you knew that there was no easy way out of this. All you could do was to try not to make anyone upset, especially Miranda. Perhaps if you stalled long enough, the Duke would come looking for you. That was a slim chance and even if he found you, what would he do? Even the Duke had to listen to Mother Miranda. This was all up to you now.
"Come in Darling, it must be terribly cold out. We wouldn't want you getting sick, now would we?" The softness of Nother Miranda's voice felt like a siren, pulling you closer only so she could hurt you. But, what was your other choice? With a nod, you shut the door quietly and awkwardly stood in the middle, all eyes trained in on you.
        "Now, sit."
        "There aren't any chairs, Ma'am."
        "Oh, how polite you are."
"Ugly, give her your seat!" Angie shouted at Moreau, interrupting the conversation between Miranda and yourself. Heisenberg seemed to share this idea as he shoved the poor guy to the ground. With a grin full of malice, the metal man patted the seat next to him as if it had always been open. This didn't feel right. Moreau was creepy but even this felt like too much. When you didn't move, the air got thicker and you felt your palms begin to sweat in fear."
"I insist," The Mother gesture to the seat to the right of her.
        "What about Lord Moreau?"
"Oh, don't worry about me. I like sitting on the ground. I do it all the time at home." Slowly you sat down as the fish-man spoke. Even with you in his seat, he didn't move an inch from where he had fallen, giving you little leg room due to his proximity. Instinctively you scooted closer to the other side, though that put you closer to Heisenberg. He was surprisingly warm, his body was radiating with heat like a blanket. Was it because of his electric organs? You had heard that his organs were electric or perhaps it was magnetic? Either way, it was the opposite of the cold-blooded Moreau. Heisenberg only smirked, flinging his arm on the back of the bench.
Each member of the council seemed ecstatic with your presence, save for Lady Dimitrescu whose face was kept in a neutral expression. You were curious if her appearance had anything to do with her experiments? You knew that each of the lords was special in one way or another because of what Miranda did to them.
Lady Dimitrescu had her regenerative abilities and Donna could control her dolls. Moreau became more fish-like and Heisenberg gained his powers with metal. That was why they were all lords. They were Miranda's child in a sense of the word. But they weren't enough, she wanted a real baby. That was why she kidnapped Rose.
Were the other lords going along with this because it was Miranda or did they really agree with what she was doing? Rose was just a baby. Her family shouldn't have to be punished like this. You had yet to meet Ethan face to face but you wished him success. If it was your child, you would do everything and anything to get her back.
"It has been a long time since I as you last. You were but a child then, an infant really. You had such a sweet giggle. But then the Duke decided to keep you all to himself. Selfish, that's what he is. It isn't good for someone's development to be so alone. Who are you going to socialize with? That would be detrimental to someone's development and emotional balance." Mother Miranda folded her hands over her lap.
"Yeah, selfish! What about us? Is he saying that we aren't enough?" Angie screamed.
"He probably didn't want them around freaks like you!"
"Hey, that includes you, you metal-boned nimrod! Go outside and get hit by lightning, you jerk!"
"At least I can look them in the face when I talk to them and don't have to have a creepy-ass doll do it for me!"
"They have spent time with my daughters." Dimitrescu interrupted the two before it could get out of hand. Everyone's eyes, save for your own, shot to the large lady. Any animosity in the room before was now directed at Lady Dimitrescu. The mood in this group could change just as quickly as the wind.
"Alcina, why did you not tell me this?" Mother Miranda spoke with an even tone but the clenching of her hands together was enough to show that she wasn't calm.
"Mother, you must understand, I wasn't even aware at the time. They sneak into the castle and my daughters ended up taking a liking to them. I never know whether they are in the castle or not." With just the mere hint that Mother Miranda was upset at her, Lady Dimitrescu became defensive. If looks could kill then you would be dead where you sat. She was glaring at you as if you have personally put curdled milk in her cereal. It was a drastic counter when compared with the rest of them.
If you were to be honest, you had no idea what was going on. Why did any of them care about your social life? It was true that you had been (and still were) quite secluded. Yet, so were they? No one other than the Duke and Mother Miranda had any contact with the outside world. The more you thought about it, the more confused you were. Even if you only considered Lady Dimitrescu and her daughters, they required a lot of people to make their wine, not including the maidens they needed for staff. The village certainly didn't have enough people to have sustained them for as long as they had lived here. Where did they get those people?
You knew the truth about the lords, due to a mixture of what the Duke had told you and what you found out when you were sneaking around. You tried to keep from going in the cellar of the Dimitrescu Castle, knowing what really happened down there. The maidens whispered about the horror stories that occurred down there and one visit had been enough for you.
Lord Moreau did terrifying things to the human body. Lucky for you, you hadn't witnessed any experiments of his, instead learning everything from notes and illustrations. Donna kept her "experiments" to herself, though it was less of an experiment and more of a form of entertainment. As for Heisenberg, you had heard that he "mainly" used corpses for his experiments. His creations were more like robots than people...You were convinced that the Duke had lied about what the iron man uses to spare your emotions. It was more likely that he used Lycans. You could hope that he never used unturned humans.
The real question that you still didn't have an answer to was what the lycans were, more importantly, how they were made. Was it due to the Cadou that you had heard whispers of and mentions in lab papers? Or was it due to the fungus that the Duke had mentioned? You knew it was some type of infection thing. All of the lycans were humans at one point and that made it hard to deal with them. That could be you if you were less lucky.
"Excuse me," You interrupted before they could continue their conversation, "But, why am I here? Not that it is a bad thing but I am confused. Have I done something wrong?"
"Of course not, Darling. You've done nothing wrong. It is the Duke that has been in the wrong. What have you done when the Duke is away? It is dangerous now for you to be on your own. You must have heard of the outsider who has invaded our home." Mother Miranda stood up from her chair and took confident steps over toward you. That seemed to be enough for Lord Moreau to scamper out of the way. He looked like one of the lycan as he moved away on his hands and knees.
"You truly are special. Your skill of going unseen could be a wonderful benefit to my plan. I want you to come work for me. Your life will be the same but you will now be tasked with helping the other lords with their work, within reason. I also want you to keep me updated on the whereabouts of Ethan Winters. I'm certain the Duke has a phone for you to use. Every day you are to report to me with what you have learned."
For a second, you thought she knew how you and the Duke were helping the man but you still kept your mouth shut, in the case that she didn't. You didn't really want to help the raven-feathered lady but you had no other choice but to die. How would it be if you worked on both sides?  The more you thought about it, the less nervous you felt. Even if you didn't tell her where the man was, she would end up finding out herself one way or another.
What you didn't understand was why she didn't just kill the man outright? You didn't want her to do that but from the Mother's point of view, what good was it to keep him alive? Was he needed for the ritual she spoke of? This arrogance could lead to their deaths, as it wasn't only Miranda who was taking Ethan lightly. They didn't know about the goodies you had left around for him in the Castle. The Duke told you to never underestimate your opponent and always fight like they are stronger than you.
"I have sent a lycan to deal with his transport and Heisenberg," Mother Miranda turned to look at the man sitting next to you, 'He should actually be ready for his collection. Once you do get him, bring him here immediately. Do not play with him or hurt him detrimentally. I want him all in one piece when he gets back here."
Heisenberg let out a small groan only you were able to hear as he pushed himself up. There was something off about this man, something that made him different from the other lords. He listened to what Mother Miranda said but he did not view her as this all-powerful being. The others worshipped the ground she walked on but Heisenberg knew she was no God. He reminded you of the Duke in that way.
Thinking back to the Duke, you began to wonder about how the man knew about Ethan...You had believed him to already be in the village somewhere, heading to the castle, but he hadn't even entered yet? How would the Duke know about him then? Why did the Duke know that he would need supplies and that his first stop would be the castle? There was a lot about your guardian that you didn't know or understand. He seemed to have this super-human sense of everything going on around him, whether he can see it or not.
"I'm so excited!" Angie squealed, jumping off of Donna's lap to bounce from foot to foot. The doll had a strange appearance but you had to admit that she was cute in moments like this when she wasn't threatening or acting demented. You had never been fond of dolls and the Duke never gave you any to play with. Instead, you had a wooden carved goat with some type of engraving on it, though it was in a language you didn't know. The Duke said he got it from Chile but was that true? It wouldn't be the first time he lied about where he got an item.
"Calm down, it is unbecoming of you to look this way in front of our new guest." Lady Dimitrescu crossed her legs and leaned back in her chair, a cigarette holder pinched between her fingers.
"Alcina, you know your sister is just excited. She always is fond of getting new playmates and I'm certain they will have a good time with (Y/N). The most important thing with this arrangement is that they must be shared evenly between you lords, permitting it doesn't come to interfere with their tracking work for me." She spoke about you as if you were a child. You were beginning to wonder how Mother Miranda saw you.
"Don't they count as one of us now...?" Lord Moreau asked causing you to almost gag at the idea.
You liked your little life with the Duke and didn't want it to change. You got to explore all around the village and weren't tasked with too important tasks. With this, you knew you were being wrapped into the plot that mixed this terrifying fate together.
"No, you empty-headed boy. They are not one of my children." Mother Miranda had moved back to her seat, sitting down to wait for Heisenberg's return. Her words didn't seem to bother Moreau as he had no reaction to them. Was this why he liked you so much? You had been kind to him but more as a means of getting out of his land safely. The words that Mother Miranda said next made it obvious how big this interaction really was. This wasn't because she needed help...She specifically wanted you.
        "Not yet anyway."

Demon or Human?
Tumblr media
Pairing: Bela Dimitrescu x Demon (Fem!)Reader
Summary: A foreign invader comes into Castle Dimitrescu just as you were settling in with your new family. However, how far would you be willing to go to protect your newfound home and your newfound love?
Warning: Game spoilers (I’ll try to keep those at a minimum), Blood, Slight G0R3, uncontrollable demon rage, fluff at the end
A/N: In light of some Resident Evil Village spoilers... Let’s just say I WILL NOT HAVE IT! So, I guess this is another entry to my The Demon Amongst Vampires series! R is My Character: Hydrangea Dragonfold
--------------------------------------------------------------
1 Year..
You’ve been inhabiting Castle Dimitrescu for one year. Alcina had been able to persuade Mother Miranda to keep you in her care instead of letting you be hunted for sport. You’d probably survive it anyway, with your demon abilities.
“I have to go to a meeting,” Alcina announces to you and her daughters, “Apparently Mother Miranda has found a foreigner man-thing in our village grounds.”
“A man?!” Daniela squeals of excitement
"A new plaything?!” Cassandra asks
“You must bring him here at once mother,” Bela says
She looks at her three children, almost looking like she is tired of their pleas. However, she recomposes herself
“I will have to persuade Mother Miranda as best as I can,” Alcina says, “I appoint Hydrangea on watch. Bela is in charge.”
You leave your mouth agape, hearing your name after while of Bela calling you “micul meu demon” or everyone else calling you demon.
“But mother-” Cassandra interrupts
“Why can’t it be either one of us?” Daniela motions to her and Cassandra
“Because I’m the oldest,” Bela flaunts her ‘eldest sibling title’
“There will be no complaints my daughters,” Alcina says, “Guard the castle well Hydrangea.”
“Of course My lady,” you say out of respect
“You have permission to call me Alcina Hydrangea,” She smiles
Alcina makes her exit.
“I get the first bite on the man thing,” Daniela blurts out
“Not if I catch him first,” Cassandra interrupts
“Enough!” Both you and Bela scream
Your blue flames ignite slightly, almost setting the table on fire. However, you compose yourself. Thus, your flames ‘dieing’.
“We will wait for your mother to return,” You sigh, “Gosh you two are rowdy. No wonder why Bela is in charge.”
You ignite your flames once you stand, heading off towards the staircase. However, Bela follows you. You didn’t notice her presence until she grabs your wrist and pulls you into a room.
“Bela love what are you doing?” You ask
You try to get her to let go of you however, you stop fighting her as she doesn’t reply to you but only snakes her arms around your midsection, taking in your warmth that you were producing. Not only from your natural body heat, but your demon form as well. You were also sure that she was also listening to your racing heartbeat. The one thing you feared was giving too much heat, too much to the point where Bela and possibly everyone else you’ve come to love and care about they turn to ash because of your carelessness of your flames.
“I... Love, I have to leave,” You sigh, placing your hand on her head and the other on her waist
“No you don’t,” She counter argues
“I do my love,” You say, looking down at her, “I have to keep you three safe.”
“And you think we can’t protect ourselves?!” Bela asks
“That is not what I meant love,” You say, “It’s just... It’s just I’m not over what happened last time... If I hadn’t come when I did, you would have died... I wouldn’t be able to forgive myself for that. I’d die if anything happened to you.”
Bela’s grip on you only tightens when you finish your sad ramble. This gets you in tears. You really couldn’t imagine the rest of your life without her.
“You’d die... For me?” She asks
“Of course I would love,” You smile, swooping her into your arms
Fortunately, your blue flames weren’t ignited enough to accidentally burn her. Your foreheads touch as you give her a kiss
“This is so much better,” Bela sighs in relief
“It really is,” You smile, “Thank you Bela.”
She kisses your forehead. You lay your head against her shoulder, hoping you could just stay like that for a little bit longer.
“Bela?” You ask, breaking the silence
“What is it my love?” She asks
“If this man... If this man scurries around the castle and hurts any of you,” You start, “What if I lose control of my demon form and I no longer see the human in me?”
“Simple, I‘ll get you out,” She answers
“What if you can’t?” You ask, worried now, “What if I’m the one who ends up hurting you?”
“Can you promise me one thing then?” She asks
You nod.
“The don’t use your full demon form,” She requests, “If you’re worried about hurting us, don’t use it. Should you though, I will pull you out.”
You had wished you were able to stay like that forever. However, you knew you had to begin your task. You and Bela give each other one last kiss before departing each others’ presence and embrace. Bela goes back down to the foyer to meet her sisters once more.
“You two okay?” Daniela asks, breaking the silence
“We are fine Daniela,” Bela answers
“Then when will the both of you just shut up and get married?!” Cassandra asks, clearly teasing Bela now
“We are not-we don’t plan on that yet,” Bela says, “It’s never come up when we talk and we don’t need to yet.”
“Sure,” Daniela teases
As you were scouting the grounds of the castle, you already see Alcina returning to the castle.
“My lady!” You call out, “I’m assuming it didn’t go well?”
“Mother Miranda gave that man-thing to Heisenberg, of course I’m upset!” She groans in frustration, “I need a drink.”
You follow her back into the castle where her daughters immediately stand to greet her.
“Where’s the male foreigner?” Bela asks
“Mother Miranda gave him to Heisenberg that fool,” She groans
You all watch her walk up the stairs and disappear into the castle. You four seat back down into the couch, Bela leaning into your embrace.
“How was scouting O-great demon king?” Daniela teases
“It was fine Dani,” you chuckle, “Are you just going to continuously make nicknames for me Dani?”
She nods as she leans back into the chair. However, before any of you could converse on, you could hear footsteps. You motion for the girls to stop talking.
“You guys hear that too?” You whisper
You motion for the three of them to follow you and once you get to the grand entrance of the castle, you see a man.
“Looking for Rose?” Daniela calls out to him, taunting him
The three of them begin forming into their fly swarm and move toward him. You make the decision to tell Alcina herself that a man has entered the castle.
“My lady, there is a man in the castle,” You sigh, “Your daughters are on the case. I’m not sure who he is- oh, speak of the devil, here they are.”
You hear the doors burst open along with struggled grunts. You look over and notice Cassandra and Bela dragging him in.
“Mother, I bring you fresh prey,” She says, trying to take the credit
“Oh, you are so kind to me daughters,” Alcina smiles, her daughters letting a slight giggle out of their mouths, “Now, let’s take a look at him.”
She stands up and faces him, “Well, well, Ethan Winters. You’ve escaped my little brothers’ idiot games did you? Let’s see how special you are.”
You watch Bela, Daniela and Alcina taste his blood. You stand next to Cassandra as you watch.
“Hey-Hey you, help me out!” Ethan pleas at you
You turn to look at him for a second. You feel your human willing to help him however, you end up turning your back to him, not willing to help him. If anything, you also hated men.
“Starting to go a little stale,” Alcina says, “But, I must inform Mother Miranda. Later, there will be enough for everyone. Put him up.”
You watch again as Bela and Daniela hook his hands and Cassandra hoists him up. You hear him groan in pain as you all begin making your exit.
“Hey... Hey you!” He again calls for you, “Help me... Please...”
You stop in your tracks and look up at him. You only let out a low chuckle as Bela gently grabs your wrist and pulls you out from the room.
As you were finishing something with Cassandra you suddenly hear Bela’s grunts.
“Hey, I gotta go,” You say out of the blue
You follow Bela’s voice, rushing even further when you could hear her voice getting louder and louder.
“Bela! Bela!” You call out for her
You pass through the kitchen and notice Bela on top of Ethan. However, she doesn’t notice how he’s aiming his gun. Only you had noticed.
“Bela! The windows!” You scream, “He’s gonna shoot the windows!”
Believing that she didn’t hear you, you ignite your flames even more so than earlier. But, it’s concentrated to your palms. You begin melting the bars that had separated from you reaching Bela. However, just before the glass had gave way to the heavy damage, the bars melted enough for you to burst through. You hear Bela’s pained scream as the glass gave way to the heavy damage.
“You- stupid man-thing!” Bela screams
You only pictured how she was the last time she was out in the cold. You let out an ear-piercing roar as you forcefully push Ethan out of the way to get to Bela. Igniting your flames ever so slightly, you pick Bela up and begin warming her up with your flames and your natural body heat. You go back into the dungeons and place her down gently, hoping you had warmed her enough.
“Are you okay?!” You ask, tears welling into your eyes
“I am now love,” She smiles, caressing your cheek
“Go!” You say, “Get your sisters an get somewhere safe! He knows! I’ll come find you.”
You watch Bela disappear into the dungeons, hopefully back into the castle to warn her sisters. You go back to where Ethan had shot the window. He was hoping you’d feel pain with the cold however, when you emerged from the cold wind, you came out, unphased.
“What the HELL ARE YOU?!” Ethan asks
“The one who will kill you,” You growl, taking in the cold, “My blood’s boiling...”
Your blue flame continue to ignite more than usual and you pounce onto him, snarling in his face. He tries to use his shotgun on you and he manages to graze the side of your head. He manages to wriggle himself out of your grip and shoots at you again, this time, in the shoulder.
“Stay down kid,” He says mercilessly and runs into the direction you came
“Get back here you coward!” You scream, trying to stand
As your body began regenerating, you continuously crawled in the direction he was going in, beginning to track his scent. It was difficult as you were in the room where the wines are created. However, it didn’t stop you from continuing on the path. When you fully regenerated your shoulder, you get up nd try to track his scent as best as you could. However, when you only got back into the castle.
“Bela!” you call
You felt a hand on your wrist as you begin getting pulled into a room. A feeling of relief washes over you as you hug Bela tightly. You look over her shoulder and only see Cassandra with her.
“Where’s Daniela?” You ask, in a panicked state
“She ran off, hoping to take down the man herself,” Cassandra sighs
You hear the door burst open and it’s Alcina.
“That man will pay for what he’s done,” She growls, “My daughter are you hurt?”
“I was but- thanks to Hydrangea,” Bela sighs in relief, leaning into your shoulder to warm up some more
“Where’s Daniela?” Alcina asks
“She went to the library to take down the man mother, we tried to stop her,” Cassandra sighs
“You two stay with Hydrangea until I return with his head and Daniela,” Alcina orders before leaving again
She makes her leave. The three of you sit on the couch, Cassandra and Bela huddling against you for warmth. However, Bela practically seating herself into your lap.
“Do you have to be such a hog of the human furnace?” Cassandra looks at her older sister in annoyance
“I’m her girlfriend so buzz off,” Bela says
“She may be your girlfriend but I need some warmth too,” Cassandra growls
You could hear Daniela’s pained grunts and screaming. You stand up and place Bela down onto the couch next to her sister. You flick your finger and a small flame goes into the fire place, igniting the firewood.
“Alcina hasn’t found her yet,” You say, “I’ll go get Daniela the both of you stay here okay?”
Once you left the room you break into a run towards the library. You break through the door just as Ethan begins opening the roof to let in the cold air again.
“STOP!” You scream, grabbing onto Daniela
Sorry Bela... I have to do this... To protect all of you. You four accepted me almost instantly... I have to protect my home. I’m not letting anyone die here! The only one dying is him....
The ground around you became engulfed in blue flames, surrounding both you and Daniela
Tumblr media
[A/n: not my gif]
“I got you Dani,” You say, the last time you heard your own voice
You look at Ethan completely deranged, more than Cassandra could ever look deranged at one of her “pets”. Ethan begins to walk backward however, tripping over an object.
“Let’s talk about this kid!” Ethan pleas, “From one human to another-”
“I’m not a human!” You spat, your demon voice overtaking your real voice, “I’m a demon! I protect my home and everyone in it!”
You let go of Daniela and leave her on the floor for Alcina to check on her. You throw Ethan out of the library. Alcina takes Daniela to where her other two daughters were. You throw him down a set of stairs. Coincidentally where Bela had opened the door.
You stand at the top of the stairs, looking down at Ethan, “You’ve overstayed your welcome... Time to say goodnight.”
“No-No please I beg you please I just wanted to find my daughter!” He screams
“All of this? For a child who isn’t even here?!” You mock him, “Your little baby could even be dead for all I care!”
Ethan draws his gun and pulls the trigger as a last resort to get you to stand down. However, you slice his arm off. You could hear his screams of pain as you now stand over him.
From the other room, Bela, Daniela, Alcina and Cassandra watch as you begin devouring his flesh. You stop after two bites out of his flesh you turn to the four women. Unable to feel your human, instead feeling your demon take full control over your body, you charge at Cassandra, Daniela, Alcina, even Bela. Alcina, being the protective mother she is, stands in front of her daughters, ready to slaughter you so if you lay a finger on her daughters like this. However, Bela runs past the three.
“Bela, get back here!” Alcina yells
Before you could lay a finger on them, Bela throws her arms around you, holding onto you tightly. As you flail your arms about, Bela still held onto you
“It’s me,” Bela says, calmly, “It’s okay now... I’m right here. Come back to me...”
You finally stopped flailing, your blue flames dissipating and your demon eye slits turning back into their round pupils.
“Be..la?” You call
You gently place your hand on her head and the other around her. You sink into her touch and fall to your knees, Bela following your movements.
“It’s okay now,” She coos, “I’ve got you love. I’ve got you.”
You choke on your sobs as you hold onto Bela for dear life, sobbing into her shoulder.
“Bela did manage to get you out after all?” Alcina admires her oldest daughter, “And I thought I was going to have to kill her.”
Alcina sips her wine.
“Mother!” Bela growls
“I need to protect my prides and joys,” Alcina states
Bela was sitting in your lap as Daniela is huddled against your side and Cassandra on the floor facing you, Bela and Daniela.
“Do you really have to hog to the human furnace Bela? I’m the one who almost died,” Daniela growls
“She’s my girlfriend,” Bela draws the ‘girlfriend’ card for the millionth time
“How long do you intend on pulling that card against us Bela?” Cassandra asks
“As long as I want,” She smiles down at you
You smile back up at her, “Daniela, I also warmed you up in almost an instant with that amount of flames I emitted earlier. Did that not help?”
“Oh it did,” She smiles
“Then you don’t need to be complaining,” Bela scoffs
“By the way, I am digging the new look on you Hydrangea,” Cassandra says, smiling at you
Black horns with bright blue accents had remained from your blue flame horns or at least under them and a tail remained.
“Do you now Cass?” You smile, “I do too.”
Your tail unconsciously wraps itself around Bela’s waist. You could feel Bela’s fingertips playing with the fluff end of your tail, making your cheeks flush a faint pink.
“Awwww micul meu demon is blushing,” Bela teases
“Ssshut it,” You hiss
You weren’t sure how well you were going to do with that man-thing called Ethan Winters roaming around the castle. However, this was your home. You went to great lengths to protect it. Especially your new family and your girlfriend. Even if you would lose your human, you had Bela. You trust her enough to bring you back, should you lose sight of that human in you.

“Of course I do you big baby, and stop acting you don’t simp for her too!”
Kaeya Alberich
He thought you were talking about a real person
Got really pouty and turned off your pc in the middle of you playing
Lowkey thought you were thinking of leaving him at first
Kaeya starts to wear things with and even lower neckline now
You convinced him to play R8 with you and he started to become a simp for Lady D himself
“Kaeya, you have to understand she has gigantic titties.”
“Yeah and so do I, your point is S/O?”
Zhongli
Got really confused at first
He doesn’t really dabble in video games, so he had no clue who this ‘Lady D’ was
Was more concerned if you getting scared of the game than you simping for the big lady
Zhongli will listen to you ramble about Big booba lady for hours. He honestly enjoys you getting so passionate about something
He’s so nonchalant when seeing Lady D’s final form lmao. “Hm, I once met a god who looked like that”
“S/O, are you sure this game isn’t too... Frightening for you?”
“Nah it’s fine! I’ve played the game before this one, and there’s Big Booba Lady.”
Xiao
Lowkey doesn’t care. Calls it ‘another foolish mortal thing’
Xiao thinks it’s a little weird when you refer to Lady D as Booba lady or Big lady
You tried to convince Xiao to play with you, but he refused saying it was a waste of time
Gets a little jealous of you simping for Miss Dimitrescu
He doesn’t really like you wasting all your time and energy on her and the game
“This is foolish, I don’t get why you spend so many hours playing this game”
“C’mon Xiao don’t be like that! The game is fun if you were to just try it!”
Albedo
Finds the game “fascinating”. Sometimes he plays it more than you do
Documents the things you say about Lady D. Albedo claims it’s for research purposes
Probably has all of the achievements unlocked
Will join the Big Lady thirsting train and contribute with his own theories
He said if you show him your stash of Lady D fan art, he’ll show you shortcuts and secrets in the game
“ We started the game last night Albedo, how did you finish it already?”
“ Show me your Lady Dimitrescu fan art and I’ll tell you”

First Sense: Hearing || Ethan Winters ||
A/n: He’s so effin adorable, I love this man, also I’d like to note I am ignoring / changing parts of  Resident Evil Village though it will still contain slight spoilers.
Pairings:
Leon x Claire {{ Mentioned }}
Ethan x Female!Reader
Slight / hinted: Chris Redfield x Mia
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ethan Winters did not think much of you when he’d had first met you. To him you were another one of those agents, the one that Chris Redfield was like.
Though you insisted you weren’t.
“I’m a doctor actually. It’s thanks to me that you’re even alive.”
That took him off guard, what did that even mean?
“I was the one that treated the molded infected in you..so you’re welcome.”
Maybe he was a little harsh on you, being stuck in that facility. People asking him question’s was getting to him. Not to mention it felt like he and Mia were drifting a part and thanks to the two barley speaking to one another he found himself wandering down to your office. He couldn’t explain why but your voice soothed his nerves.
Gentle, never judging him and over the time in the facility he found out more about you. You’d lost your family due to a incident that happened in Raccoon City where you then met a man name Leon Kennedy and Chris’s younger sister Claire. He found out that you and Leon where still good friends and Claire was your best friend, he smiled at the picture you’d shown him. You were holding a baby.
“Claire’s son, so adorable. They made me their godmother”
He didn’t like how your voice dipped, you sounded sad. Did you want to be a mother?
He never meant for the question to slip past his lips and you’d looked up at him in surprise.
“People like me don’t get families Ethan...how can I?”
It hurt knowing that but it was the truth, Leon and Claire. They only got out thanks to Chris.
“Enough of this talk, you should get some rest Ethan. It won’t be long until you're able to leave.”
Leave? he didn’t want to leave....how could he? He didn’t want to leave you- Then it hit him and for a split second he could hear his heart beating loudly in his ears.
He didn’t love you? Did he?
Slipping out of your office he quickly made his way towards the room they had him staying in, nearly colliding into another body.
“Ethan?”
“Mia?”
Mia sighed as she looked over her husband, the man looked distraught though for a moment she noticed something change in his eye, something she hasn’t seen in a long time.
“Ethan..I think we need to talk.”
“I.”
The man didn’t put up a fight when the woman gently grasped his hand, he stayed quite when the two were in his room.
“So.....did you tell her yet?”
“I...tell who what?”
Ethan adverted his gaze, he wasn’t sure that he was able to look her in the eye.
“Y/n...did you tell her how you feel?”
“How did you?”
“Know? Ethan we’re married...and I haven’t seen that look on your face in a long time and your laugh...it’s not the same when you are with me...I’m not mad Ethan. After everything that had happened between us...what happened with the Bakers...you deserve some happiness in your life.”
“Come on Mia...how...how can I just tell her...tell y/n how I feel. What if she rejects me.”
Mia let out a laugh shaking her head for a moment as she placed her hand over his. “Ethan...she feel’s the same way...trust me...you can hear it in her voice... after all the hell you went through I didn’t think that confessing your feelings would be tough.” she teased.
Ethan shifted his body then stood up, unsure of what to do. “I...Mia...thank you.”
Shaking her head, Mia stood pulling the man in for a hug then placed a kiss against his cheek. “Be happy Ethan, you deserve it.”
Watching him leave, Mia felt a small twinge of pain in her heart knowing what was to come but she knew it would fade. Slipping out of the room she knew she’d had to figure out how to get some divorce papers, maybe Chris could help.
Feeling her cheeks burn for a moment she decided to ask the man herself, hoping her crush wouldn’t be to noticeable, she hoped he would know what to do though she stopped hearing Ethan’s voice.
“Y/n...I..I need to tell you something?”
“What is it Ethan.” You were concerned for him, cute..you two would make a nice family.
“I...think I love you...and you don’t.”
A soft laugh cut Ethan’s voice off and for a moment Mia wondered if she was wrong about your feelings.
“Is that right? well I think I love you too Ethan.”
A small kiss then a hug, she wanted to leave you two alone. For Ethan to explain everything though she felt good. Stepping away from the door the young woman clasped a hand behind her back walking off, it wasn’t until a deep voice stopped her in her tracks.
“Mia...Ethan said you needed to talk to me?”
Turning around she spotted Chris standing in the halls, he had a nervous smile on his face. A smile soon formed on hers as she walked over to him, titling her head to the side she gave him a nod.
“I did, do you mind if we walk and talk?”

Crimson Ties (Bela Dimitrescu/Reader, Soulmate AU) Pt. 3
Fandom: Resident Evil: Village Rating: T for language Warnings: Typical Vampire shenanigans + mentions of animal death Genre: Hurt + comfort Summary: Time to meet the family! What exactly has Cassandra told her mother? Can Bela convince her family to calm the hell down? We'll find out! Spoiler: there's the start of a cute date afterwards Notes: Once more we visit Bela's private study, which I first described in a chapter of Serenade. Added a few more details this time. PS reader is probably low-key a theater nerd with a hint of a goth phase, just saying. Also this chap is a little short, sorry. Previous Chapters: 1: Stem the Flow, 2: Tangled Strands
3: Rumbling Thunder
Heart racing, you step into the dining room, just behind Bela. Both of you are nervous, but find comfort in each other. Still, what you see upon entering only makes you feel worse. At the head of a large table stands none other than Lady Alcina Dimitrescu. Besides her is her middle daughter, the one who confronted you earlier, who sends you a knowing smirk as you walk in. Lady Dimitrescu, on the other hand, is scowling. Her eyes are squinted in a clear display of disapproval. If not for Bela’s hand squeezing your own, it was likely that you would have fainted from fear.
“I see Cassandra has wasted no time in spreading rumors,” Bela said bitterly. You’re amazed by her ability to stand tall in the face of her family’s tension. Yet there was a part of you that wondered if you were worth the struggle, at least for your soulmate. Thankfully, you are not given much time to ponder the thought. No, you’re being pulled towards the closest side of the tabe, guided next to an ornate seat. Neither Bela nor yourself sit yet, however. “Please, mother, do not be hasty to make your judgement. I promise that-”
“Do not presume to tell me of my own business, daughter. The timing of my judgement is my prerogative, not yours,” Lady Dimitrescu interrupted, staring right at you. A shiver runs down your spine at the eye contact. What did Cassandra say to her? You wonder, struggling to breathe past the lump in your throat. Even Bela becomes visibly nervous at the interaction. “Now… are you certain, without a doubt, that this is your soulmate?” Did she really even have to ask? What were the chances that Bela would save you, one person out of at least a dozen in the cellar, for any other reason? Still, your soulmate straightens up at the attention, and replies as confidently as possible.
“Yes, of course, mother. I would not dare risk your anger for any lesser reason,” Bela assured. Then she gives your hand another soft squeeze, before pulling hers back a little, catching the thread that bound you together with her fingers. Lifting it, she tugs it somewhat absentmindedly. Out of habit you immediately return the action. Unfortunately, those around you would be unable to see the display. For all they knew, the two of you could be faking it, simply attempting to get out of the situation unscathed. Surprisingly though, you see Alcina hesitate. Her left hand twitches as if she was thinking of her own red string. Has she ever met her partner? Did she know the pure joy that her daughter had so recently felt?... Maybe she’d be more sympathetic to your situation if she had.
“We will see if your defiance pans out in time, Bela. For now… Why don’t we hear what your pet has to say about themselves, hmm?” Lady Dimitrescu suggested, giving a somewhat devious smile. Next to you, Bela grimaces, then sends you a pleading look. Alas, you cannot read her mind, and can only guess as to how you’re supposed to respond. Bowing is a sign of respect in virtually all cultures, you think, probably a good place to start.
“It is an immeasurable pleasure to formally make your acquaintance, Lady Dimitrescu,” you said, before giving your full name. Then you rise from your bow, once more making eye contact. Out of the corner of your vision you see Cassandra rolling her eyes. “I know that I am a mere human, and hardly the epitome of a prime specimen. But I am determined to prove my worth, for there is no prize on this earth more grand than being allowed to love Lady Bela. Every ounce of my willpower is prepared to devote myself to this task, entirely, so that I may give Lady Bela the courtship and happiness that she is deserving. It is both an obligation and an honor.” Hopefully your soulmate wouldn’t mind you using the same line twice, at least under these circumstances.
In the seconds that follow, several things happen: One, you see Cassandra frown a little, and refuse to look in your direction. Two, Lady Dimitrescu makes a surprised face, but quickly shifts into an expression of satisfaction. Thirdly, Bela’s hand finds your own again, giving it an incredibly soft squeeze. Last but not least… someone you haven’t seen before enters the room. She has red hair, a green pendant around her neck, and eyes that light up with curiosity when she sees you. If you had to guess, you’d assume that she was another one of Bela’s sisters. Here’s hoping she’s a tad bit friendlier, you think.
“Did I miss anything? Ooh, please tell me we’re having this lovely stranger for breakfast?” She asked, grinning maniacally. So much for being friendlier, you think, figuring that she was being literal. Based on the way Bela tenses up in response, you’re probably right. Before she can protest, however, Lady Dimitrescu clears her throat and speaks.
“Ah, Daniela… This stranger-” she says the word with far less venom than you anticipated, but it is venom nonetheless- “is your dear sister’s soulmate. We will not be draining them of blood. Again. Assuming that they behave themselves. Is that clear?” She asked, staring down at the newcomer. There’s a slight pause, tension still lingering in the air, followed by a sigh of relief from Bela. Much to your surprise, neither Cassandra nor Daniela seem particularly upset by this announcement. In fact, the latter simply shrugs and takes her seat at the table. Next thing you know everyone else is sitting as well, including Bela, who gestures for you to follow suit. “I’ll have one of the servants fetch you some more… appropriate food. Cynthia, my dear?” Soon enough a maiden, perhaps a decade or two older than yourself, hurriedly enters the room. With a bow, she addresses Alcina.
“Yes, Lady Dimitrescu?”
“Have Miss Bouregard make an extra plate of whatever it is you sort eat, and bring it here. We have an… unexpected guest,” Alcina explained. At that, Cynthia glances at you, her eyes briefly widening in surprise. Without another word she turns away, giving another bow before heading away to fulfill her task. Once more you’re the only human in the room. Oddly enough, you manage to feel quite at ease, as if surviving one round was enough to guarantee you’d win the overall game. Well, at the very least you now had a chance. Regardless of what was to come, you were glad for that, for this opportunity to be with your soulmate. At the end of the day… little else mattered to you.
———————————
Much to your relief, the rest of breakfast proceeded smoothly. Conversation was sparse, with most of it being hushed whispers from the other side of the table, but you hardly minded. Normally you would find it rude. Now, you were simply pleased that they weren’t being up front with their hostility. More so, it allowed you and Bela to have your own conversation, which mainly pertained to your plans for the day. Several times during your discussion, a glance elsewhere would show you that Alcina was paying attention. Exactly once you even saw her attempting to hide a smile. A sense of pride had swelled in your chest at the sight.
It has remained there, even until now, as you move into Bela’s private study. One quick survey of the room tells you a thousand things about your soulmate. For starters, it’s clear that she’s musically inclined. There’s a harp in one corner, adjacent to a folded music stand, as well as a small bookshelf dedicated entirely to sheet music. A couple medium sized instrument cases are nearby, but you don’t immediately recognize their shape. Further into the room is a rather old looking desk, slightly worn, yet clearly cared for. Possibly passed down the generations? Next to the desk is a massive window with a couple spare chairs. All across the walls were bookshelves and mementos, including several skulls (at least one of them human). Every book you looked over appeared to be well read, with many bookmarks inside, some held together by tape and prayers.
“This… this is sublime, my darling. I could rest here for a month and hardly finish cherishing half the space!” You said, grinning at your soulmate. She’s equally pleased, seeming a tad relieved as well. Perhaps she had worried you’d be thrown off by the skulls? Wanting to reassure her, you approach that particular shelf, examining them closely. However, you do not touch them, not wanting to risk damaging her collection. “Truly marvellous. Dare I ask where you got these specimens?” It’s a joke, but Bela stiffens nonetheless, making you quickly redact your statement. “My apologies, I meant it as a jest. Though you are welcome to tell me more about them if you so desire! I will listen with rapt attention, I promise.”
“Most of them are gifts from Cassandra. During the summers we hunt, her more so than Daniela or myself. I… dislike wasting anything, and there’s only so much to be done with most bones. They have quite a few ornamental uses, however. Useful for study, as well,” Bela mentioned, smiling softly. Then she moves to stand next to you, carefully reaching to grab one of the skulls. “This was from one of our hounds, actually. I raised her from puppy to adult, took her on every hunt, even let her sleep in my quarters on colder nights. When she got sick I…” A pause, mouth open but unmoving, eyes slipping shut. “I couldn’t bring myself to put her down. Even argued with my mother, night after night, begging for another choice. None came, of course, and in the end even I could not deny her the softest embrace of death… Still, you must think me strange, to keep such a thing as a reminder of her.”
“Not at all, my dear. We all remember, and grieve, in our own ways. I’ve often found myself intrigued by skulls, of all sorts,” you admitted, sheepishly rubbing the back of your neck with your hand. “All we are, our minds or mayhap our souls, contained in one hard shell. It’s incredible, and terrifying, all at the same time, to hold one in my hands, or even merely examine one. Oh, what stories these bones could tell, if only they could talk… Though I suppose there are entire fields of science devoted to such a thought…” With that said, you look back at Bela just in time to see her staring fondly at the canine skull. Then she places it back on its perch, dusting her hands off afterwards, taking one last moment to appreciate her collection.
“I’m glad you and I agree on this,” she said softly. Once more she’s looking at you, smiling wide. “Now let’s make memories of our own, to hold in our bones forevermore, yes?”

Resident Evil Village gameplay watch guide
So you've heard about Resident Evil Village. About Tall Vampire Lady or Daddy Magneto... but here you are wondering about Ethan Winters of all people.
Don't worry, we've all been there. Wondering why in a cast full of interesting characters, we chose to simp for the character equivalent of plain white bread. We're in this together. Don't worry.
So you wanna know more about him. But you're not into horror. You're afraid of jumpscares, you don't like looking at disgusting stuff, you get uncomfortably tense when you don't know what to expect...
So here I am to give you a guide. I’ll be providing a video link of a complete gameplay of the game, that skips most of the wandering around in the game and focuses on cutscenes and gameplay that helps you connect the cutscenes together, making the video three and a half hours long instead of eight hours long. At the same time, I'll be providing timestamps for jumpscares and tense scenes.
I already did this for a friend, and I'm getting the sense that I have more followers intrigued by it but don't know what to watch and how to start. So here I am to offer you help and drag you in ;)
It goes without saying that, as this is a complete watch guide, spoilers (both for Resident Evil 8 and Resident Evil 7) will follow.
A quick intro; re8 (aka RE Village) is a direct sequel to re7. Ethan Winters is the protagonist in both games, there's a slight development from one game to the other, and events in re8 are kind of direct consequence of what happened in re7. Luckily, the game developers took into consideration that some may not remember or have not played re7, so they made a video recap of what happened in re7. A re7 gameplay lasts from 3.5 to 5 hours, depending on the way of playing, in case you're interested in that. But if you’re okay with the 2-minute-long recap (it's pretty good in summarizing what you need to know about it) it's here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ULSVsSZ03z0
There’s still more to the story of re7, but most of the stuff you need to connect with re8 and figure out what’s going on will be explained there.
Now, as of the timestamps that I’m providing; I suggest reading the first four bullet points, start watching up to the last timestamp mentioned there, then read the next bullet point and watch up to its timestamp, and keep going like that. Don’t skip bullet points if you don’t wanna be spoiled!
The video includes the boss and mini boss fights in full. None of them take too long, so I would recommend watching them in full as the Bosses have some lines during the fights and listening to those gives a more spherical view of them.
The link is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j4POQ6FOCMc
The first 12 minutes are generally calm.
Some intense stuff start at about 8 minute mark, but no direct horror.
After the 12 minute mark, it starts getting a little creepy in the environment.
Jumpscare at 13:47 and 16:18
Intense stuff start at 19:00, with some jumpscares, some gore, and some fighting up to 24:00.
Intense stuff at around 33:00, though it's more shocking than scary.
Pretty scary show at 41:20. Like some creepy and disgusting stuff.
A bit intense stuff right after, up to 45:40.
Some gory stuff start at 47:00. At first it might not seem much, but it gets more later. And then even more. That lasts mostly up to 50:00.
Some zombies at 52:00, then mini boss fight.
The scene at 57:25 has some gore and blood, though it's... interesting, and has become a huge meme in the fandom... and elsewhere.
Mini boss fight at 59:59.
Boss fight with creepy, freaky monster from 01:04:00. The end starts at about 1:10:15, and I suggest at least listening to the ending lines.
Some disturbing news at the cutscene in 1:13:34.
At 1:19:00 starts THE most creepy part of the story. It has scary vibes from early on, and almost the entire thing will have you on edge (and you can hear Ethan's breathing and that makes it even more tense) and it's got creepy dolls and stuff, so be prepared for those in case they scare you.
Not exactly a jumpscare, but creepy at 1:21:08 as lights go out.
At 1:26:18 a door opens by itself (nothing is hiding or jumping at you), and an object falls at 1:28:47.
1:30:17 is creepy, but no jumpscare there, aside from an object falling down at the end.
Sudden phone ring at 1:31:31
Figure passing from far away at 1:32:20, then an object falling.
Walking through a dark corridor at 1:33:27. Nothing jumps at you, but it's a creepy place regardless.
At 1:34:03... prepare yourselves. I fully suggest lowering the volume (if anything because it's got disturbing and distorted sounds) and either watch with caution, or don't look at the video, or even directly skip through to 1:40:25 if it's too scary for you. The lights go out, you only have a flashlight, and THE creepiest monster in the entire game appears in front of you at 1:35:15.
From 1:36:57 it gets a bit calmer. The lights go a little brighter, the monster doesn't appear,
but that only lasts until 1:37:31, where the lights go out again, and the monster reappears at 1:38:02. From that point up to 1:39:24 there are disturbing sounds all around, so you can mute or skip those. Again monster reappears from 1:39:58 to 1:40:25.
It's still a little creepy after that, with creepy dolls and creepy laughs, but at least it's got more lights on.
At 1:40:56 a human person appears suddenly, and then creepy dolls start hunting and attacking Ethan. Music gets creepy, creepy laughs are heard, etc. It's an intense game of hide and go seek.
Blood at 1:42:10, 1:43:02,
big jumpscare and slightly gory attack at 1:44:15.
At 1:44:50 there's again blood and some disturbing gore, but then FINALLY that part's over.
And then comes the most disgusting part.
At 1:46:10 jumpscare and gory attack from big monster.
From 1:47:17 and the entire section there's like, disgusting blobs of some acid-like nature, the Boss is quite disturbing (body horror, distorted voice, and he throws up a LOT, starting with 1:47:39)
Jumpscare at 1:49:35.
Less scary jumpscare at 1:49:54. A little scarier at 1:50:56.
Body horror and a shit ton of vomiting at 1:51:20. The next sequence is all running around, with the Boss trying to attack (it's in the general area so it's not "scary" when he comes closer, more like sudden) and the ground shakes all the time.
Yucky stuff at 1:54:56
Monster appearing a little too close at 1:56:25
At 1:59:31 small jumpscare
2:00:20 the monster walking in front of you but not at you.
2:01:20 the Boss fight starts, and it's all yucky and stuff. Personally my least favourite part of the game, I mean at least the doll house has some kind of... aesthetic to it, idk lol. To each their own, though. Unless you are into that stuff or are investing in it, I personally recommend skipping to right after the end of the fight, at 2:06:35.
If not skipping, there's a shit ton of vomitting at 2:02:48, at 2:04:40, and at 2:05:20, though I MIGHT have missed a bit there.
The Boss dies in a quite disgusting way, starting from 2:06:15. I personally always skip his dying cutscene, both when I play the game or watch gameplays. From 2:06:35 it's safe, and accompanied by Ethan's cringey but also very relatable reaction quip.
Boss fight at 2:07:56. It's a bit scary and intense but nothing of note happens (as for horror), it ends at 2:11:00, where once again Ethan inspires with his quips. (You can fast forward through this fight as this particular boss doesn’t speak)
After 2:19:40 on the video skips to the most important moments of that part of the game. In general, in that part Ethan is trapped inside a huge building and is trying to escape, with some "modified" zombies hunting him. A full gameplay won’t really provide anything more, related to the story or the characters (aside from some notes you can read), so you're not missing much. [Though, as I’m checking right now, I realized the editor skipped some dialogue from Heisenberg. Though that can be summed to Heisenberg saying “Miranda is horrible blah blah” and Ethan going like “Dude I don’t give a shit”]
Mini boss fight at 2:22:30. The creature may be a little disturbing. Ethan gets hit at 2:24:22, at 2:25:10 and at 2:25:45, but nothing to note aside from those.
It ends at 2:27:03, once again with another brilliant one-liner from Ethan. God I love him.
Boss fight from 2:33:50. It's got a pretty interesting end at 2:37:55.
After that, there's not really anything more creepy or any jumpscare you need to worry about, aside from, you know, lycans and blood, stuff you've already seen through the video already.
Boss fight at 2:50:00, again with a boss without any dialogue.
Boss fight ends at 2:52:40, and honestly I suggest watching the entire thing from then on.
Watch the credits up to 3:21:36, and the post credits scene that starts at 3:27:30.
And that’s it! You now know the full story! Hope you come back to me to rant about Mold Man Ethan Winters, Dad of the Century!

Over Your Shoulder
Contains Spoilers For ‘Resident Evil Village’
Warnings: Cursing, mentions of a person being treated as a pet. Mentions of death, murder. Name calling.
Run Down: A comment was made on Jacksepticeye’s channel of his ‘Resident Evil’ playthrough about Ethan screaming for his life, and all the while with Jack being a voice in his head, being incredibly happy when Lady Dimitrescu was torturing him. I couldn’t help myself.
It’s now cannon that every first person game protagonist has the player sitting on their shoulder.
_______________________
Through all of the horrors he’s witnessed, and considering this is the second instance he’s been hunted down by a terrifying family, he has plenty to hinder him down and make everything seem helpless and not even worth it. A smile manages to appear on his face, though.
What? It’s not everyday he fishes an entire goddamn boat out of a sea monster’s lair he’s currently sprinting through.
A soft laugh escapes from the sheer obscurity. “Looks like I caught a big one.”
“Oh ha, ha. Soooo funny.”
“Holy-”
Ethan jerks to a halt as he catches his breath from the scare of hearing some unknown voice speaking directly into his ear.
“What? Another werewolf? Finally some action!”
“No,” the angry father sighs as he carefully embarks onto the unstable boat. “I forgot you existed.”
At first he believed he’d finally gone insane. He’s endured enough so why not? What’s one more fucked up thing getting thrown at him? Honestly it should’ve come long before now.
But then the voice made it clear it did not enjoy him surviving. More specifically, him ducking out of the way whenever some poor grossly mutated soul swung a hatchet at him.
Screamed when he reached up to his right shoulder and grabbed at something that had been sitting there the whole time.
He didn’t know what was worse. The fact it was a miniature human glitching like they’re a digital image, or that they were simply annoyed the immersion was broken.
“I don’t know how you forgot my amazing self is here,” his admittedly annoying soldier devil remarks. “I make your play through entertaining!”
Right. The reminder that his child has been torn apart, his wife murdered by a trusted friend, and him getting attacked over and over again until he finally keels over is all for entertainment. His life nothing more than a video game.
Ethan resists the urge to flick his pest away. Last time he did that, he immediately got his neck sliced and a very pissed shoulder devil yelling for an hour.
He can’t deny sometimes it’s nice having someone to talk to. Even though he’d prefer they would appreciate at least a few of his jokes.
“I’d much rather you hadn’t encouraged the psychos trying to kill me.”
“I hope you aren’t calling the beautiful Lady Dimitrescu a psycho!”
“I don’t know why you even like her. She’d crush you like a bug if she could.”
Ethan smile as he feels a punch being no more than a slight poke to his neck. “She would adore me.”
“Maybe as a pet.”
There’s another punch accompanied with laughter attempting to be stifled. “You’d like that, wouldn’t you?”
“Of course I do,” Ethan smiles. “I’d never hear your whining again.”
“Well too bad, you’re stuck with me forever!”
A shrug sends the shoulder devil against his neck with a squawking curse.
“Let’s go gut us a fish then.”
“Ethan, I love you, but tell better jokes before you kill me.”
