i think we all know why israel wont agree to a ceasefire.. and western media will turn their heads the other way until years from now and ask "how could we have let this happen?" but their answer will be in the luxurious hotels and vacation destinations the upper class will be enjoying on the land that belongs to the Palestinians who were stripped away from their homes and forced to live the horrors that have been ongoing for decades

Its Always Been You (albedo x gn!reader)
Albedo seems to have his eyes on someone else, but is that really it?
The request: Hello there, good morning! I hope youre doing well :> I was wondering if you have seen the show Friends before, and if you have, I was wondering if you could do a sort of thing like the episode where Ross and Julie are being lovey-dovey and Rachel's tired of it for Albedo Kazuha and Scaramouche? Thanks!
Response: Hii! Of course, I love Friends! But ill be splitting this into a few different posts, one for each character sense I didnt expect for these fics to be so long °^°
Slight angst to comfort, its not said who Albedo is dating but its a girl, implied that the reader has a crush on Albedo, idk how to spell labritory so i just say lab alot, oh yeah and this takes place in Dragonspine, also i got VERY VERY VERY lazy at the end so the ending is rushed >:7 also not beta read
Hi everyone, thank you for the support on my last fanfic. Dont forget that i am taking requests right now, so dont be afraid to request anything. Just no smut >:/ a masterlist is in the making, so yeah :) have a good day/night everybody! youre probably able to tell who my favorite genshin character is by now, also i think my English got alot better dont you guys think so too?? :)

Albedo
Youve really never seen Albedo this social before. Sure he talked time to time, to you at least; you both had to. You worked together. But hes usually only muttered a quick "thank you" or a "hand me ___ please". Even though you both work together, its like youve never heard his voice. The same applies to you though, you dont really talk to him outside of your work so your own voice is pretty much unknown to him.
However, there was always something about him that caught your attention. The way he was so focused on his studies, how he listened carefully every time someone talked— would he do that for you too? Would he put effort into your guys' friendship? The way he would gently pat your shoulder when it was time for the two of you to go home— would he do more than that? Would he want to go further with you?
You'd sometimes be so wrapped up in your own thoughts that you dont even notice Albedo staring right back at you, sometimes a smile on his face or just a blank expression. He knew that you were curious about him. And thats why he finally decided to speak to you a while ago.
"Ive noticed how youve been looking at me lately," He would say im a hushed voice next to you, standing behind you as you sat in your chair in Albedo's small lab. Youve been commissioned to work there a few times— it was like a second workspace. "Is there something that I should know?"
"Oh, yeah." You awkwardly chucked, looking behind yourself to see Albedo staring right back to you. "Uh, ive just been spacing out, thats all."
Albedo hummed in response, his lips twisted in a smirk. "Ive been wanting to know more about you. Its a shame that we arent able to properly cooperate with each other, yet we are forced to work together." You shrugged laughed once again.
"I mean, youve always been so quiet, so..." It then went silent, Albedo was thinking of what to say next.
"Ive only been quiet because you havent spoken." He replied, backing away from the chair. "I think we should speak more. It would be nice to have someone to speak to while I work."
"Ah, yeah. It would be nice."
The conversation awkwardly ended there, as Albedo went back to his table to begin working once more. You, however, wasnt able to finish your assignment. You kept thinking about the recent conversation you both had, which unabled you to get your mind straight. But you did somehow.
But then, as you recalled the past events, you heard the sound of a telephone ringing next to you. You both had a silent yet mutual agreement that, for whatever reason, the lab telephone would stay next to you. You did have the better "formal speaking voice" anyways,
"Y/n L/n, alchemist at the Knights of Favonius— how may I help you?" You spoke, sitting up straight in your seat. Albedo glanced over to you for a brief moment, listening to you speak.
"...The chief alchemist? Um... no, im not— ...oh, Albedo is the one youre looking for? Sure sure, one moment." You looked over to the man sitting near you and pointed at the phone, noticing Albedo already looking at you.
"Sounded like a girl. She was looking for you." You shrugged as Albedo stood up and grabbed the phone from your hands.
"I see. While I take this call, do you think you could finish my project? I have a feeling you'd be able to finish it faster than I can. The notes are on the table." You nodded and made your way over to his table as you heard him begin to speak.
As you finished the project Albedo had started, you recalled your guys' previous discussions over the past few weeks. You remembered a specific conversation you both had not too long ago, something about your love life.
"Hey Albedo," You called, the man in question turning to face you. "I have a question for you."
"Hm? What is it?" You were a bit nervous, it didnt feel like the right time to ask something like this but you really wanted to know.
"...Do you like anybody? Or, do you have a crush on anyone? Are you even single?" You blurted out, staring straight into his eyes. His eyes widened before he began to chuckle at your question.
"Oh my, is there a reason for asking me this?" He asked, laughter still in his voice. "Mmm, I do like someone. We arent... very close, but talking to them makes me feel something... why do you ask?"
It was your turn to widen your eyes, you felt your face heat up at his answer. "Nothing—! I just, you know, youre so quiet so I was curious if you were in a relationship." You pursed your lips and squinted. "Who do you like?"
"...I cant tell you at the moment. Im afraid you might tell them," He smiled and shook his hesd. "Now, if thats all you had to inquire me about then I suppose I'll get back to work."
Thats right, he liked someone. Someone who he isnt very close with— you, perhaps? That would be great if it was you. It would mean that you both had mutual feelings.
However, as you were lost in your daydreams, you heard laughter coming from Albedo. You turned towards him, seeing a slight tint of redness on his face.
"You really didnt have to do that, darling. I didnt— ...Youre too amusing. I'll see you soon, then. ...Alright, I love you. Goodbye."
Your eyes widened in shock at what you heard. But when you were about to ask yourself another question, Albedo continued.
"Hm, I love you more. ...No, I love you more. ...Yes, I do— No, I love you more. ...Fine then, we can both hang up at the same time." He wore a smile on his face througout the call, you noticed. "Alright, three... two... one...— You didnt even hang up. ...Well, youre right. Okay okay I have to get back to work now, I'll talk later. ...Alright, goodbye now darling."
You quickly turned back around, finishing Albedo's project for him as he hung up the phone and walked over to you.
"Have you finished yet?" He asked, placing his hand on the chair. You shook your head, not looking up at him.
"Almost." Is all you said. Albedo hummed, watching you tinker with different mixtures and what not, until you finally got the elixir that Albedo couldnt make.
"Ah, you did it. I knew you could do it." He smiled as you stood up and shrugged.
"It wasnt hard." You said, walking back to your own seat. Albedo watched you leave, usually you would attempt to talk to him more but he noticed that you were... rather quick to end your conversation.
The next few days went on slowly, you were devestated at the fact that he already had a girlfriend it seemed, and that you now had to deal with the burden of hearing how romantic he was with her.
You usually got calls every day now from the same girl— you didint know her but its not like you wanted to either. She sounded very sweet though.
As you got another call, you sighed as you picked up the phone. "Y/n, Knights of Favonius. What do you want?" You sluggishly asked, catching Albedos attention. You werent usually this improper when answering calls, but you seemed as if you were annoyed. Well it would make sense, youve been hearing the same womans voice over the past 6 days over and over again.
"...Mhm, okay. ...Uh-huh, I know who you wanna talk to." You rolled your eyes and pointed at the phone, standing up and the alchemist walked over to you.
"Do you think you can—" Albedo began, but you shook your head.
"Im going out for a while." You quickly cut him off, hurrying out the door. You were tired of hearing how romantic those two were; Albedo and the girl. It felt like he was mocking you at the fact that your crush was in a stable and amazing relationship that you couldnt have.
It was tiring having to find a way to get rid of your crush.
A few minutes later, after just sitting outside and getting some fresh air, you heard Albedos voice.
"Y/n, I expected you to be far from the lab." He said, coming up next to you and sitting down. "Is everything alright? You seem irritated."
"Mhm, everythings okay." You said, looking away from him. "Im fine, dont worry."
"Did I do something to make you feel this way?" He asked, putting a hand on your shoulder. Your eyes widened for a moment before you auickly brushed his hand off.
"Im fine, I said. Just go back and work, ill be there in a second." You frowned, still not facing him. You could hear him sigh as he stood up, beginning to walk back into the lab.
"...Please let me know if I can do anything to help you."
~~~
A few minutes passed and you finally decided to come back into the lab, noticing that Albedo was talking on the phone once again. Thats when you began to think, maybe it was better to just begin working somewhere else. It was bothersome and heartbreaking to hear how lovey-dovey Albedo was with this new girlfriend of his, and it hurt your heart everytime because you still felt something towards him.
So the next day, when you had finally got the green light from Master Jean to move labritories, Albedo was very, very confused.
He came in early in the morning, expecting to be the first one there until he saw you putting your items from your desk into boxes.
"Oh, are we moving areas?" He asked, expecting an answer from you. But instead, you stayed silent, continuing to pack everything up. He walked over to you, standing in front of you now. "Y/n? Are we going to a new lab? I could help pack up my things,"
"No, youre not." You spoke in a bitter tone. "Dont worry about what I do, you should maybe go talk to that girlfriend of yours and tell her how in love you are with her." The alchemist furrowed his eyebrows and crossed his arms.
"Really now, this is what this is about? Youre leaving because you found out that Im dating someone?" He chuckled. "Did you even get permission from Master Jean?"
"Mhm, I did." You finally looked up at him, a glare in your eyes. "But why does it matter to you?"
"Because we work together...? I cant work alone in here."
"Then why dont you invite your girlfriend over? That way she wont have to be a bother to me and you will have some company." You walked past him and to the door, placing down the box in your hands.
"Seriously. Youre moving to a different workstation because Im in a relationship? This is what thats about?" His voice began to raise. "I understand that youre... jealous, perhaps, but that doesnt mean we arent partners anymore."
"I never said that. We can continue to be partners, sure, but I just cant do this anymore. Im tired of it, of hearing her voice ask for you everyday."
"And why is that?"
"Because I like you, Albedo. And its just really hurting me to hear you both talk to each other like that." You sighed, it felt good to finally get it out of your system but you saw Albedo's eyes widen.
"...Huh?" He said, taking a step back. "You like me? I never expected that..."
"...Really now?" You shook your head. "Bye, I'll come by later to drop off some papers."
And with that, you left.
~~~
Even though you both didnt have a "friendship", it was still sad to see your empty desk in the labritory. Albedo barely even talked to his girlfriend in that lovely voice anymore, for some reason he just felt like it wasnt what he truly felt. So thats why he was running down the mountain in Dragonspine, running towards your own lab all the way in Mondstadt.
As he finally reached your lab, he quickly knocked on the door, out of breath. He saw you open the door, a shocked expression on your face.
"Albedo— what are you doing here?" You asked, your eyes wide and your feet shuffling.
"I wanted to apologize... I missed talking to you so much. Its out of character for me, i know, but... even though we never talked a lot, i want to talk to you, i want to become friends with you, and maybe even more. So please, come back to Dragonspine..." He quickly said, gazing straight into your eyes.
"But— your girlfriend?" He shook his head.
"I'll sort that out with her. I like you too, Y/n. We havent really spoken to each other, but I feel... an attraction to you that I cant understand why."
You processed his words for a quick moment before nodding. "Sure, I'll come back with you."

(Master Post)
_____________________________________________________________
Masquerade surveyed the classroom. Her former classmates now her masked servants. It was fitting how they were all silent. Before, they listened to her because she told them exactly the things they wanted to hear, now they listened because she had power over them. It was kind of poetic in a way.
She looked across the classroom, she realized that there seemed to be more people missing than she initially realized.
“We are missing someone. Aside from Marinette, who is missing?”
The controlled classmates looked amongst themselves. Trying to figure out who was the one that was not in the class.
“Is it Chloé?” Miracular inquired, trying to answer her master’s request.
The akuma looked around.
“Huh… Oh yea, she isn’t here. Well she isn’t important. I was thinking someone else.” Masquerade answered. She looked to her most recently made akuma servant.
The Bubbler, the akumatized version of Nino stood motionless. As if he was not registering what was going on.
“Bubbler? Do you know who is missing?”
The multicolored akuma said nothing. Not even looking in the direction of the mask maiden.
“Bubbler! I order you to answer me!” She commanded with fiery rage.
The akuma turned to face his master, now responding.
“Adrien is missing.” The bubbler answered, his voice robotic and as emotive as a speak and spell.
“So, Adrien isn’t in the room. What a shame. I was planning on turning him into my handsome little knight.”
Masquerade thought for a moment.
Has Adrien been akumatized? Lila wasn’t sure she had ever seen or heard about him getting akumatized. She knew that the class had pretty much gotten hit at least once or twice at some point from what she had heard and read from the ladyblog. But if that goody-goody Marinette hadn’t been akumatized, Adrien likely hadn’t been akumatized either.
“Alright my servants! We have a new mission. I want you to lock this school down! No one is allowed in or out. Anyone you find, bring them to me. If they can be akumatized, then they are joining our cause.”
“Time breaker. Guard the perimeter outside of the school. Anyone outside of Ladybug and Chat noir trying to get in. Tag them, but only if they are suspicious of what’s going on. Stay hidden otherwise.”
“Timebreaker nodded and began skating out of the room in a rush.
“Horrificator, once Timebreaker is outside, seal all the exits in the main building.”
The masked monstress nodded and sped out of the room.
“Dark Cupid, Stoneheart, Princess Fragrance, Miracular and Reflekta. I want you to split up check all of the rooms and bring me potential akumas.”
The five akuma nodded and made their way out the door.
“Gamer and Robostus. I want you to hack into the airwaves. I want access to every Electric device in Paris when I give you the signal. But make sure to be subtle. I don’t want anyone to know about us until I tell you.”
The two nod and start working to get that ready for her.
She focuses her attention to the bubble making akuma that was giving her problems earlier.
Considering how hard it was to break him down, it was understandable. She had saved him for last for a reason. Because he was the hardest one to crack.
He was a relatively calm individual, able to keep a level head. But even he had his weakness. His confidence. Once that was shaken, seeing his entire class taken, knowing his girlfriend was under her control, he couldn't resist another moment. In a way, it was the most satisfying charm on her bracelet.
“Now Bubbler, you are going to go and locate Marinette and Adrien for me. Put them in a bubble and bring them to me. Help that girlfriend of yours.”
The bubbler nodded yes despite severe shaking. Seems even now he is trying to resist the control of the mask.
“Troublesome, but it is only temporary. He will break soon enough.” Masquerade mused to herself.
She looked at the near empty room with contempt. This was hardly a place where she could exact her vengeance. It was so… lame. Though a thought occurs as she realized who she had left standing at attention without orders.
“Evillustrator, I have a special request for you.”
________________________________________________________
“What is this?” Chloé screeched. “My daddy bought me the best phone plan in the city. How can I not have service right now?!”
The nurse felt a chill run down her spine. Could the akuma block out phone signals? Is that why there is no attention being given to the school? How could they call for help? How would anyone know of the akuma attack? Would Ladybug and Chat noir be able to help them?
The nurse started to feel herself going pale, she was just supposed to be a school nurse. Worst thing she needed to deal with was a scraped knee or give a kid an ice pack. Now she has a woman that collapsed on the bed and an akuma that is somewhere in the school. She had just moved to Paris a few months ago. It was her dream to live in the city of love, get her career going, find a nice guy, and just live the good life. But no one told her that supervillain attacks would be so personally connected to her situation? She had heard about this crap in New York and in America. But Paris? It was too much. What if Ladybug and Chat noir didn’t fix everything? What if this was where her story ended. What if…
“Hey!”
The nurse turned to her attention to the voice. It was the brash blonde teen that was complaining.
“You look like you’re going to pass out. Just a heads up, I am not taking care of you.” Chloé commented.
Angela felt her face heat up with annoyance.
“Listen you brat. I don’t have time to deal with your attitude. I have a woman that is out cold from exhaustion in a building with a hostile akuma.”
“Good, at least you aren’t going to faint. I don’t need any more whinny women fainting on me”
The nurse paused, did the girl say that just to help her not succumb to the grim situation?
Chloé started making her way to the door.
“Hey, where are you going?”
“You already got your hands full with the annoying assistant. I need to make a call to daddy. So, I am going to head out the building and try there. Try not to get ripped apart by an akuma, I still need more ice when I get back.”
Angela blinked. This girl wasn’t scared of the akuma. She was actually going out to do something reasonable. If she could call for help, it would mean that this whole thing blows over.
“Okay, I’ll stay here. Be safe.”
“Yea whatever.”
Chloé headed out the door.
Angela felt a ghost of a smile grace her face.
‘Maybe that girl isn’t a complete brat after all.’

The shapeshifting sentimonster growled as it smacked the locker. It lost both primary targets. And worst of all, Ladybug appeared to make this even harder. Masquerade needed to hear about this.
“Master, Marinette and Adrien have escaped my sight.”
The sentimonster heard a sigh of disappointment from the other end.
“It is fine Simularé, They wont be able to escape the school anyway. They will be found soon enough. If anything, this is a blessing in disguise. Having them be the last targets will have them bare witness to how devasting it will all be.” Masquerade answered. “Any news on Ladybug and Chat noir?”
“That’s the other bad news. Ladybug arrived, I am assuming that’s how Marinette managed to escape, and ladybug also took Adrien away as well. No sign of chat noir. But if you know one is here, the other is likely soon to follow.”
There was a brief moment of silence, as masquerade mulled over the information she had received.
“Actually, that works out well for us. Meet up at my location, I have the other students out looking for them, I need your power for something more important.”
“Yes master.”
Simularé shifted back into its phantom form, moving quickly down the hallway to obey her master’s request.
Just as it left, Ladybug popped out of a nearby locker. Relieved it didn’t notice.
“That’s not good, Masquerade likely got everyone in the classroom.” The red heroine said aloud.
She activated her communicator and tried to contact chat noir. But there was no sound.
“Damn it. No signal. Lila likely cut the communication as soon as she realized it.?”
“No worries Buggaboo, I happen to be on site.” A voice called out.
Chat noir jumped out of another locker to reveal he was there.
Ladybug felt a bit of relief at her partner’s appearance. She could tell he felt the same. Better a situation with two heroes.
“Been here the whole time?” The spotted heroine asked her cat crimefighting comrade.
“Just arrived a few minutes ago, I figured something was up, so I decided to take a quick peek. Cat curiosity and all that.”
“And you assumed it was with Collège Françoise Dupont?”
“It seemed like a solid guess.”
“Considering the track record, that is reasonable.” Ladybug conceded.
“Ever wonder why it is always this school and never any of the other schools? Paris is a big city. You would think Hawkmoth would decide to branch out to the other schools in the city.” Chat noir inquired as they started walking down the hall.
“I assumed its just a coincidence.”
“Shot in the dark, maybe he has a kid that goes here. He is pretty old” Chat noir dissed.
“I can’t imagine anyone that would want to date Hawkmoth.” Ladybug joked.
“What about the blue lady? She seemed crazy enough.”
“And now that image is burned in my mind. Thanks kitty.” Ladybug sarcastically commented. “Despite the mental scarring, I am glad you got here. Seems a repeat offender got herself an upgrade in the akuma powers department.”
“Lila.”
“How did you know?”
“I was reading the ladyblog, Alya did great work on that article.” Chat noir praised. He mentally applauded his quick thinking.
“Right, kind of the reason I felt the need to keep an eye on this place. But sadly, I was too slow.” Ladybug responded a tad gloomy.
“Hey, don’t sweat it. We will finish this akuma before lunch.”
Ladybug heard a footstep from the end of the hallway.
“Get down!”
Ladybug tackled the cat hero down. Just narrowly avoiding a neon pause symbol, which now suck on the wall.
“Looks like Lila has been busy.” Chat noir noted as he turned his face to the direction of the attacker.
Ladybug looked at the akuma. The white mask covering her friend’s face. Lady Wifi was back.
“Alya…”
The two heroes got into a fighting stance and prepared to take down this controlled akuma.
________________________________________________
The halls were empty and lifeless as the two visiting teens made their way cautiously down the halls.
“Oddly quiet in here.” The fencer commented. “What do you think Luka?”
“Well last time we entered a place with an akuma in it, it was brimming with armored minions. Maybe this akuma has more stealth?” The Musician commented. “So, I don’t think you will be fighting as directly as you are use to Kagami.”
Kagami nodded at that, not exactly happy or sad regarding that remark. Her plan was to see if she could help her friends get out of the building, grab her textbook, and get out. She wasn’t really that interested in fighting a superpowered foe at this moment in time.
The two ceased speaking when they heard approaching footsteps.
“Someone’s coming.” Luka noted.
The two duck into the nearest room.
The two stayed close to the door as they listened to the sound of the approaching figure.
Kagami dropped to the floor silently as to check and see if she could get a visual.
She could only see what appeared to be costume boots of a larger figure. Which made the expert fencer believe it was not friendly.
The figure stopped, looking at the door. The two teens felt their neck hairs stand on edge as they did their best not to make a sound.
After what felt like an eternity, the figure passed the door without checking. Once the sound of his footsteps could no longer be heard, they let out a sigh of relief.
“That was way too close for comfort.”
“Agreed. I would prefer a direct confrontation next time, much less nerve-racking. “
The two carefully open the door and exit the room.
“Seems we found the akuma.” Luka commented. “Now we just need to avoid it and.”
“You mean akumas.” Kagami corrected.
“Akumas?”
Kagami tilted the boys head to look in the same direction she was looking, and sure enough she saw a rather large rock like creature walking the halls.
“Oh… well that is bad.”
Kagami pushed him back into the room and closed the door. Locking it before the rock giant could notice them.
“I’m surprised.”
“By the fact there is an 8-foot-tall rock beast outside?”
“No, by the fact you didn’t try to fight it.”
“I don’t have a weapon.” Kagami replied flatly.
Luka raised a brow at the comment, unsure if the fencer was serious or not about fighting that thing if she had a foil.
“Is something wrong?” A third voice came from behind them.
The two teens turned around, preparing for the worst. Though they were relieved to see it was just an old janitor… in a Hawaiian shirt. Despite his odd dress, he did give off a kind aura. One of a trusting old grandpa.
They noticed that the room seemed to be a sort of teacher’s lounge, with a small counter with a sink and cabinets. As well as a fridge to keep food cold and stored. A place in the school where teachers would come to get a quick coffee or store their lunch.
“Oh good, you aren’t an akuma.” Luka sighed with relief.
“An akuma?” The old man asked.
“Yes, it is very dangerous out there right now. There are multiple villains outside. I would recommend staying put while we go out there and help handle things.” Kagami explained.
“Quite bold of you to go out there against those monsters.” The man responded.
“Don’t worry, we will be careful. We just need to make sure we can get as many people out as we can so Ladybug and Chat noir won’t need to worry.”
“Ah, how selfless of you. You both seem quite capable for ones so young.”
“You’re very kind, but we are just doing what we can. Our friends are out there and they need our help.”
Kagami goes to the door. Checking to ensure the coast is clear again.
The old man pats the musician’s shoulder.
“I am sure you two will figure a way to help your friends.”
“There are too many outside this room.” Kagami grumbled. If only I had a way to fight them.”
The mysterious janitor smiled.
“Say… I did happen to see Ladybug earlier.”
The two teens turned their attention to the old man.
“You did?” they asked in unison.
“Yes, she happened to drop something while rushing. Would you two be so kind as to return them to her when you see her.”
The two of them glance at each other and shrug. The old janitor might be senile.
“Sure… We can give it to her.” Luka assured the old man, trying to remain polite.
The old man moves to a closet, where out of view of the two teens, an elaborate chest with the symbol of the guardian’s decorates the top. He quickly gets two smaller boxes and closes the closet.
“Ah! Here they are.”
He hands the two a small box each. Their eyes go wide.
“They seemed important, so I didn’t want to just leave them on the floor. But I have a feeling you two will take good care of them.”
The two teens were engrossed by the boxes in their hands. They recognized them immediately. These were the boxes Ladybug used when handing out miraculous.
“Where did you find…?” Kagami tried to question, but noticed the old man was no longer there.
“He’s gone…”
“Actually, I am over here.”
The teens look in the opposite direction they were looking in order to see him at the end of the room getting a snack from the fridge.
The duo decided that maybe this old guy wasn’t all there after all and figured it would be best to go somewhere and utilize the ‘gift’ they were just given.
“Stay in the lounge where it’s safe okay?” Luka asked politely.
“Of course. I am not paid if I am not working.”
The two teens checked the door again, and once the coast was clear. They both slipped out of the room.
After he knew they were out of sight, the old man chuckled.
“The senile routine works every time.”
“Master, you really cut it close with that one.” A small turtle creature exclaimed as he popped out from the closet.
“The universe works in mysterious ways Wayzz. What are the odds that there would be an attack on the school the very day I decide to hide out as a janitor?”
“Considering the frequency of akuma attacks, very likely.”
“True, but how about running into two individuals that Marinette had picked to be heroes.” Fu followed up.
“That is quite a coincidence.”
The guardian pulled out his phone and noticed he didn’t have a signal.
“It seems I can’t get a signal to notify her of the reinforcements I sent her way. Likely it would be the same on her end. So, it is a good thing I acted in advance.”
Fu moved to the closet where he kept the miraculous.
“I can’t help but shake the feeling Ladybug and Chat noir will need all of the help they can get.
“Don’t worry master, I am sure Ladybug and Chat noir will be successful.
“Let us keep an eye on things. They might need another ally to turn the tide.
________________________________________________________
“I am guessing you are also familiar with what’s inside here?” Kagami inquired as the two stealthily moved in the hall.
“I may be familiar with it.” Luka commented.
Kagami contemplated the statement. She figured out the truth.
“Seems we both have used a miraculous then?”
“It appears we have. Though I am not sure Ladybug will be thrilled that someone knows I have helped her.”
“I understand the sentiment. Though lets simply agree to keep it between us.” Kagami answered. “Friends do keep secrets like that if I’m correct.”
Luka smiled at the comment.
“Your secret is safe with me.” Luka assured.
“As is yours.”
The two found the locker room and quickly moved inside.
“Coast is clear.”
The two opened the boxes and as they did two magical creatures appeared in front of them.
A floating creature with multiple spikes appeared in front of the fencer, while another floating creature that resembled a cobra stood in front of luka.
“It is a pleasure to see you again Mistress Kagami.”
“It’s been too long, Longg.” Kagami smiled. Happy to see her kwami friend.
“Hello Luka, itssss been a while.” The snake kwami greeted.
“Happy to see you too Sass.” Luka fist bumped his kwami.
The kwamis stop and turn to see the other kwami there.
“Does Ladybug know about this?” They both ask in unison.
“We will inform her after. Right now, there is a lot of danger.” Kagami exclaimed. “Ladybug needs our help.”
The two kwami nod and prepare to fight.
“Consssider us accomplissses.” Sass answered.
The two teens put on the miraculous.
“Sass! Scales Slither.”
“Longg! Bring the storm”
The two teens transform into their heroic alter egos.
Kagami shifting into the dragon miraculous hero Ryuuko, and Luka changing into the Snake hero Viperion.
The two stop to glance at the other.
“So, what should I call you.” The snake hero asked curiously.
“Call me Ryuuko. And what about you mister snake?”
“Viperion is what I am going with.”
“Fitting.”
“As is yours.”
The two give a nod of comradery before making their way out of the locker room. They had to go help Ladybug.
__________________________________________________
Ladybug dashed across the hallway, avoiding pause symbols being flung at her by the conniving akuma.
She slid underneath one of the symbols and preformed a daring slide kick to knock Lady Wifi off balance.
While she was unstable, Chat noir charged and used his baton to make contact with her white mask. Believing it was the obvious weak point.
“Got it!” Chat noir exclaimed triumphantly. The strike of the staff knocking Ladywifi a good several meters. Before lying flat on her back.
“Wow, that is a tough mask. I thought for sure that was the weak point.” Chat noir commented.
Lady Wifi stood up robotically.
“There must be a way to snap her out of it. Unless Hawkmoth is learning from his mistakes.” Ladybug hypothesized as she got up from the ground.
“Well I got nothing.” Chat noir shrugged.
Another set of footsteps approaching caught the hero’s attention. The recognized the multicolored bubble maker the moment they saw him.
“Nino… You too?” Chat noir said under his breath.
The Bubble maker used his bubble wand to summon two large bubbles to capture the heroes. Bringing back flashbacks of their first encounter with the bubble akuma.
Chat noir and Ladybug expertly slide between the gaps of the attack, resulting in Lady Wifi getting hit with the large bubbles and being sent flying into the wall via bubble prison.
Chat noir lunged at the Bubbler, his quick pounce pinning him down before he could attack.
“Maybe I can destroy his mask with…”
“Wait Chat noir!” Ladybug called out.
Chat noir paused.
“What if your cataclysm doesn’t free him?”
“And then I am left without the power before a recharge.”
“Exactly. We need to hold off on using our powers right now.”
Chat noir wanted to save his friend. But he knew his partner was right. They needed to conserve their powers before facing Lila.
The Bubbler managed to get the cat hero off of him with a burst of strength. Knocking Chat noir to the ground.
Lady Wifi had gotten free from the bubble attack and was now blocking the other entrance.
Ladybug and Chat noir moved back to back, Ladybug facing the ladyblogger turned mindless akuma slave and Chat noir facing the akumatized DJ.
“Any ideas, Buggaboo?”
“Seems they can’t adapt. They are pretty much mindless slaves. Which makes sense since Lila wouldn’t want them to think for themselves.”
“So you’re saying their movements are simple.”
“Which means they are exploitable.”
Chat noir felt relief watch over him. He knew Ladybug had a plan.
_____________________________________________________
“EWWWW!” Chloé screeched in disgust. The front entrance to the school had been covered in a pink slime.
She wiped her hand on the cleanest section of wall she could find. This was not her day.
“What is with this nasty gross akuma? First, I can’t call Daddy to come and pick me up. I can’t even post about it! How will Ladybug know to save me? Or better yet, get me the bee miraculous so I can help her save the day?”
Chloé decided to try another exit, since she had no plans of sticking around without knowing if she was going to be given a miraculous or not. Plus, she did say she would call for help, and doing that would make her look good in potential hero points.
As she was walking, she bumps into something in the middle of the hall. Which was bizzare since the hall was clear.
“Ouch, right on my bruise. What the hell is…”
Chloé felt her anger shift to fear when she watched as the empty hall now contained a familiar akuma.
“Sabrina?”
The akuma turned to her, her face covered with a white face mask.
“Eww. Your akuma form looks even tacker than before.”
“Take potential akuma to master.” The akumatized Sabrina stated in an emotionless tone. Repeating the order, she had been given.
“Oh no you don’t! Sabrina, I order you to listen to me!”
The akuma ignored the blonde’s command and slowly walked towards her.
“Sabrina… I am warning you. I am going to yell at you over this later if you don’t stop right now.”
Chloé started slowly backing away. She wasn’t sure of what to do.
“Listen… if you stop right now… I’ll uh… let you take a pick of one of my old sweaters.” Chloé bargained, not intending to let her pick one of the ones she actually liked.
Chloé felt her hand touch the sealed door, and knew she was at the end of the hall. She was boxed in.
“This is so unacceptable.” Chloé stated, preparing to get captured. But a flash of Red and Black came out of nowhere and kicked the akuma hard to the wall.
“Ladybug! I knew you would like save me!” Chloé jumped and hugged her savior.
“Im not ladybug.” The heroine spoke.”
Chloé released the hug as she examined who her savior was.
“Who the hell are you?”
Chloé had never bothered to learn the names of any of the other miraculous heroes. She sometimes forgets chat noir’s name.
“Ryuuko.” The dragon heroine stated calmly, almost regretting saving Chloé.
“Did Ladybug send you? Cause it would have been better if she got me to help.”
Ryuuko decided to ignore Chloé’s comment.
“Now we need to leave before she… Where did she go?” Looking at the dented locker that no longer had an akuma lying on the ground.
Suddenly the akuma popped out of nowhere about to strike from above with her tonfa and steal Ryuuko’s powers, but was stopped when a small harp smacked her face.
“She appears to have invisibility.” A voice called out.
The two turn to see the snake hero as he caught his harp on the rebound.
Chloé took a moment to look over the snake hero. She had to admit, he was pretty cute. Not Adrien cute, maybe she would start learning the names of the other heroes.
“Quick thinking Viperion.” Ryuuko thanked the snake teen.
“Just following your lead.” Viperion responded. The two giving eachother a respectful smile. They both seemed to have gotten used to working together.
The akuma got up. Its white face mask making the akuma’s expression unreadable. But its body language exuded rage.
“Seems we aren’t going anywhere until she is taken care of.” Ryuuko said as she stared down the akuma.
Viperion turned to chloé.
“You need to go and get to safety.”
“Okay!” Chloé says as she runs off.
“How come she didn’t give you any sass?”
“Because I already have him.”
Kagami had to admit that was a clever response.
“Not what I meant, but Chat noir would love that joke.”
“I will be sure to tell him it later.”
“Stick to playing guitar. You’re a better musician than comedian.”
Before they could get off anymore banter. The akuma went for another attack.
________________________________________________________
Simularé entered Ms.Bustier’s classroom.
“I am here.” The ghostly sentimonster announced.
“Excellent.”
The sentimonster looked up to see that the classroom it was expeciting to see had been altered into what appeared to be a rather glamourous throne room. The windows covered by white curtains with the design of an akuma in black. The platforms and stairs had been altered to be marble. And at the top, where Lila’s desk once was was now a golden throne akin to something one would see in a castle. Though despite the impressive change in the classroom it was still being designed. The akuma known as the evillustrator was still creating more furnishings for the room.
“Simulare, I have an order for you.” Masquerade stated as she sat on the new throne. Clearly confident in her position.
The sentimonster approached her master. Stopping only a few feet away.
“I want you to create a mirage over the school. Since Ladybug is already in the school. It would be best if you made sure no one notices whats happening here. I don’t need any additional heroes popping in yet. Let’s handle her before making things public.”
Simularé nodded.
“Understood. But what should we do if she…”
“I have everything under control. Just follow my orders.”
Simularé ceased her questioning.
“As you wish master.”
The sentimonster shifted into her Volpina form and headed out of the classroom.
“She is getting arrogant in her power. If things do go south, I will need to step in.” Simularé said to herself. But for now, she knew she had a role to play.
_____________________________________________________________
And that ends part 34.
Seems things are REALLY heating up. Will Viperion and Ryuuko be able to help Ladybug and Chat noir?
Will Ladybug and Chat noir be able to get through to their brainwashed friends?
Will Masquerade's gambit be enough for her to get her vengeance?
Whats Simularé's deal?

➼ chongyun || hiraeth
tw: mention of knives (no violence), kidnapping, explosion _______
you angled your camera to catch your face and upper body correctly and adjusted your blinds for the correct lighting. you put thin pieces of yellow and pink paper over your lamp to give off a sunset lighting sort of aesthetic in your minimalist room. your tiny cacao tree sat in the corner of your room, setting some sort of simple beach vibe.
then, you began to stream.
you watched as majority of your followers came to view as you sat in your rolly gaming chair. the greetings came rushing in and you noticed two of your friends had came along too, xingqiu and chongyun.
"hey gang, it's kingexplosionmurder here with your weekly sunday stream," you smiled and watched as comments came in asking you to notice them. beginning to select randomly, you flicked a short strand of hair behind your ear. "you have been noticed, yourlocalsugardaddy," you blessed them. and you swore you chose randomly.
on the other side of the screen, chongyun's face slightly flushed before eating his popsicle again. yes, that was his username, selected by xingqiu after the guhua heir was somehow able to trick him into selecting so. the situation must've been that he accidentally consumed some jueyun chili's, that was also xingqiu's doing.
he watched you smile as you explained your schedule for this stream, when he noticed you suddenly began laughing. it sounded genuine, he wanted to believe it was genuine, but there was a trace of disappointment in it. he observed your face, noticing you were looking at the chat box. "i agree too, scarymoose."
scarymoose: this streamer's kinda dog shit ngl 😐
by instinct, his fingers grazed over the keyboard as he analyzed the tone. this kid wasn't joking around with himself, he was really out to bring you down. he exhaled, shaking his head, wondering how you would deal in the situation.
yourlocalsugardaddy: miss karen this isn't yelp 🙄
he wasn't content with that yet, things could've gone onto more serious matters, but he knew you liked to keep your chat clean and peaceful. you went to the farther extents to keep that from happening, agreeing with rude comments yourself as a said joke, but actually have it sometimes harming you.
so chongyun tried his best to keep you happy.
redrumreaper: yo moose chill 😳
he recognized his friend xingqiu also trying to calm the situation as you just laughed it off and attempted to continue, sooner enough just beginning to ignore all his comments. some other viewers came up to your defense but in all honesty, you wanted to move on.
"s-so, i found some silk flowers outside of wangshuu inn yesterday, aren't they pretty?" you took a tiny bouquet of the said silk flowers and presented it to your viewers, holding it next to your cheek. the pink tone of the flowers matched the color of your cheeks and made for a nice picture. chongyun would've screenshotted it, but he respected your privacy.
yourlocaldumba$$: yes they're so pretty we love you 😍
13lue13erry: yes ong ong 💕 thiccer than my granny
Straw13erry: don't bring madame ping into this 💀💀
colino: are you sure it's alright to take from someone's legally owned property ?? much less from their garden
Straw13erry: u mean ur neighbors don't harvest ur flowers every day? 🙄 privilege spoke 🤚
yourlocalsugardaddy: vv pretty 😳
redrumreaper: simp 💀
you slightly choked over on your side and xingqiu calling chongyun a simp, for you. quickly clearing your throat, you regained your composure. your viewers could see that your cheeks had been dusted with a darker shade now.
13lue13erry: 👀
Straw13erry: 👀
yourlocaldumba$$: 👀
redrumreaper: 👀
sireluck: 💀
bazinga: 👀
dandelionn: 👀
poetichoe: 👀
"okay- anyways," you pushed that aside, watching the chain of 👀's coming in. you weren't too sure at what they were referring to, but just assumed that they were interested in xingqiu exposing chongyun. but, there was no way chongyun really felt like that, right? it was just a friendly compliment from what you believed. "just a tiny flex but y'all guys, i am so cracked at apex, not gonna lie. for all the new followers out there," you randomly commented. 'and to change the subject.'
"actually, you know what? fuck the schedule, let's go to trolling little eight year old kids posting selfies on instagram. due to certain reasons i'm just not gonna be blurring their usernames out, but please don't spam these people, i don't wanna be cancelled 💗" you sweetly smiled as you pulled up instagram and started streaming on your phone.
of course your sus notifications ruined it 🤡🤡
because xingqiu took advantage of the situation, sending messages to your discord. nothing mentioning your romantic life because he knew better than that, but just trolling. 'HEY GANG. ITS ME, TONY, AND TODAY WE'RE GONNA SEE IF IM FASTER THAN THIS MOUSE TRAP.' 'TURNS OUT, I AM NOT FASTER THAN THIS MOUSE TRAP.' 'AN UPDATE, IT HURTS. ALRIGHT. BYE GUYS.' you tried hard to contain your laughter, but certain giggles came out in the end, giggles that made chongyun's heart flutter.
xingqiu just kept spamming without a stop, to the point that you accidentally clicked into the notification instead of someone's username on a selfie post. so now everyone could see your group chat with xingqiu, chongyun, and a few other viewers that were actually your other friends.
13lue13erry: oh no 🤡
Straw13erry: 🗿
yourlocaldumba$$: HAHAHAHA WE'RE EXPOSED 🤡👌
just water support boy 😔: image.png
oh my god he's sending chongyun catboy edits. you made this concerning noise, glad no one really seemed to know who chongyun really was on twitch. you went back to instagram, beginning to dm a random kid, ignoring the situation that had just happened.
chongyun choked, slight heat running to his cheeks. what the fuck was xingqiu doing- how did he even get those pictures? maybe it was that one time xingqiu forced him to go to a furry con, but how did he ever get the time to photograph these? he nervously fidgeted and played with his fingers.
13lue13erry: 🤡
Straw13erry: 🤡
yourlocaldumba$$: 🤡
redrumreaper: 🤡

afterwards you sent a barrage of really cursed images and left the person on read when they tried to complain and get a reaction out of you. you chuckled, extremely satisfied with yourself. this is what your viewers followed you for. you went on hunting for another user, "GO Y/N GO" filling up your chat.
you were just about to dm this other kid until you heard a ring from your doorbell. "oh what the fuck, i didn't invite anyone. but you know what, i'll pull something up to entertain y'all guys while i'm afk." searching on youtube, you typed in 'banana fish ep. 1' and clicked on the longest video you saw. then you got up from your chair, making your way to the front door.
you didn't mute yourself before because you thought there was really no need to, and you underestimated your mic sensitivity. god did you wish that you could go back and time and do just that.
twisting the doorknob, you opened your door and was met with... a certain, someone.
someone that you recognized and has caused you so much pain, and it was all so fun and games before they had to come along. "bruh. aight what you here for fam?" you played it super chill, though you were really sick and tired of this person's shit.
"(y/n). we need to talk," her stern voice made you flinch as you just stared straight into her eyes. you simply nodded your head and crossed your arms, shifting your weight onto your right leg. "we're thinking of taking you back home."
your froze, your breath hitching as you just stood there, waiting for her to go on. clenching your fists and looking down, you stayed silent for a little moment and questioned, "...why?"
"well, you have a stable income source, right?" she asked, putting her hands on her hips. "you can finally be of use to us," she clasped her hands together, a bright smile on her face. your finger twitched, awaiting an explanation. "you're a streamer, yeah? so you can be a useful asset to our family name."
"...you only want me to come back so i can make you all seem... good?"
and here you thought, just for a second, that you would be accepted back into the place where you really belonged. your shoulders slumped, as small tears began to well up in your eyes. "and for our profitable gain of course, it would be a shame to not acquire that from you."
you composed yourself and looked up. "im afraid my profit can only cover for one person, and it would be myself that i focus to make a suitable and independent living out of. you've kicked me out ever since i've graduated from college and had me fend for myself, now inviting me back once i have a stable job?" you breathed, fiddling with the sleeves of your black hoodie.
"oh, not inviting, dear. taking."
confused by her words, you let your guard down as she suddenly pushed a warm cloth over your mouth as you let out a constrained scream. you tried to break free of her grasp, reaching for the switchblade in your pocket, but the drowsing chemicals from the cloth took control of you and you felt disoriented. "you... bitch..."
your head hit the floor.
》●✿ time ● skip ✿●
silence.
thats all you heard when you awoke.
pure, unfiltered silence that overwhelmed you as you were completely lost. what was happening?
you tried turning to the other side of your childhood bed, the moon casting light shadows into your 'room'. there was a rope around your wrists you noticed, so you brought them up to your lips and starting gnawing on them until it broke apart. (guys we feral its not a furry instinct ok?/ ??  ?)
the material had irritated your skin, but you put that aside for now. escape- thats what you really needed to do. it was fairly dark, but you didn't have a good estimate of time. the analog clock was broken and set to a different time that displayed 11AM. you sat up, your fingers running along the frame of the window next to you.
for a moment, you stopped, thoughts rushing into your head. what if you could start a whole other life here where things could finally be peaceful, what if you didn't have to feel so isolated anymore, what if you could- ...
no. (y/n), get yourself together. what has happened will anyways stay there, and there is no healing scars. ...still, you couldn't shake off the feeling of missing this home so much when you had an amazing childhood, though full of fake actors who had manipulated you.
opening all the cabinets silently, you grabbed things that you assumed would come to your aid. a tiny backpack, which you then stuffed with other things around it. a first aid kit, a spare knife just in case, along with a clean oversized sweater and a couple dollar bills. all that, along with a compass.
you turned towards your window, stepping on your bed.
pushing open the sides of your window, your stepped on, the brown coldness of the frame coming in contact with your feet. you shivered just a little bit before stopping to think. what would you do once you were out of here? you barely knew your way here. and not to mention, your devices were still left at your other house, so there was no way of contact.
...
did your stream ever end? even if it did, had you muted yourself before leaving? no, you didn't, and you could remember in precise detail. someone out there, anyone, would be willing to help, right? you couldn't possibly be here forever, not when you're basically blown up all over your socials?
your friends, yes, your friends! xingqiu and chongyun were watching the stream and had made obvious interaction in doing so, and they'd be willing to protect you. if they just had a lead...
but... what lead was there? all they heard was the woman's voice and, that was probably it, wasn't it? only a voice with no other clear features that could identify her. it looked like you were doing this on your own.
you came in contact with the blades of grass tickling your feet and conveniently found a pair of sneakers outside. it definitely wasn't yours, and it smelled like the scent of your old room. most likely, it belonged to someone from inside your house, lavender and mint, but who inside there was in the age range to wear modern day sneakers..?
brushing that question aside, you unhesitatingly laced them on and they were just a bit too big, but you could manage.
you breathed, inhaling the freedom intertwined air, a much needed factor of bringing you back to your lost sense of happiness. then, the fear struck you once again, because you needed to improvise now. you needed to run, but which direction? you barely knew this place at all.
you dug around your pocket for the compass you had and it was pointing east. you remember that stepping out of your house was facing west, so you were going the right way... but who knows how messy the path was? it couldn't have been an exact pathway, but going directly ahead was your simplest option.
you heard a pair of footsteps coming from inside the house, probably a few seconds away to opening the door. you sucked in your breath and ran, ran as far as your legs could take you. your intimidating speed and played into your advantage, and taking one last look, you saw the lights on, before continuing.
a few minutes into it, you felt some elemental energy. it was a sense you learned to develop since you were young, giving you the upper hand in a variety of situations. you followed the trail of glowing lines, the air starting to get colder and colder. you shuddered, the crisp coldness nipping at your skin.
you sat below a tree, taking your backpack off your shoulder and took out the oversized sweater. you put it on over your black tee and light blue skinny jeans, its nostalgic aroma filling your sense of smell.
it was... warm.
it shouldn't be warm.
the warmth proved as a sign that someone had worn it before, but this size was from what you knew, too small to fit the woman you came across again, and you absolutely did not recall any other beings within the house. it was a small household.
suddenly, you remembered what she said.
we're thinking of taking you back home. you can finally be of use to us.
plural. you should've noticed it before and you shook your head, slightly disappointed in yourself. you didn't remember any other birth siblings. could it be the fact that during the time, they had, in a way, replaced you?
you sat up, then suddenly went drowsy. your eyelids were getting heavy as your back hit the same tree. ah, that clever bitch. you chuckled to yourself, but still unsatisfied how this was gonna end. reaching inside your pocket, you grabbed a bomb that a little kid gave you, and threw it as far as you could. it wasn't as far as you hoped, but it was exceptionally far considered your sleepy state.
in a few couple seconds or so, it was going to explode. you did that to divert the attention of her and slowly ran as far as you could. a few seconds in, you gave in, hoping that your efforts were enough. 》●✿ perspective ● shift ✿●
chongyun heard an explosion.
he raised his head in the direction smoke was coming from, and made a run for it, then stopping to think. no, you're smarter than this. he gathered his shit together and remembered that one day klee gave you a bomb. he deducted that you had used it as a diversion, and began to search around the area.
and finally, he came across your sleeping body. to ensure your living state, he crouched down and let two fingers travel across your neck, searching for a pulse, and was relieved when he found one, pulsing at a normal rate.
he then carried you on his back, picking up the pace since he deducted someone was out for you, would you need a distraction. he remembered some details of the woman, she had ended your stream with your sleeping form in her hands, a dirty smirk coming across her lips. she had dark hair with some natural highlights, but that was all he saw because the rest was concealed by a cloak.
a few minutes, maybe half an hour later, you began to stir. chongyun decided that he ventured far enough to liyue and slowed down for your comfort. he wanted you to get some well deserved rest. but slowly, you woke up, but only the tiniest movement was made. your eyes were still droopy and you wanted to return to sleep.
but the sight of pastel blue hair kept you from doing so.
you felt the familiar silk coming in contact with your arms as he kept on trudging forward at a more consistent and smooth pace. "..chongyun?" you muttered out weakly, earning a small smile from the male. he hummed in response, continuing forward.
your mind was cloudy, unable to interpret the language of the world. but softly, words effortlessly escaped your lips, "... did i do the right... thing?" blinking multiple times, you awaited his answer.
"yes, yes you did," his soft voice reached your ears, making you smile a bit. you nuzzled deeper into his shoulder, clinging onto him tighter, unwilling to let go.
"thank you," you whispered.
he chuckled a bit before responding, "anything for you."

I'm almost afraid to ask...
What are your werewolf au ideas?
GSHBDKSND oh its not horny or anything its just like. kind of angsty, but like, in that way where sometimes angsty daydreams are fun, you know?? like
ok its like a geraskier thing cuz im a one trick pony, but basically geralt gets cursed, three nights a month he goes all wolfy. he's an intelligent werewolf with pretty great self control, BUT he's like, ridiculously worried that he's gonna snap and hurt people. (he's not, but, you know, he's had to put down werewolves for that before, and he's not a man with a lot of faith in himself, So.)
uhhhh i cant remember how jaskier finds out tbqh, but after traveling together a while, it comes to light, and jaskier is of course very "its just you, im not scared, and im not judging you." they hang out, they figure things out, and geralt starts to relax.
so all the time he's been cursed, he hasnt gone back to kaer morhen-- its only been a year or two, but still. he feels like they'd know right away, he's worried they'd just put him down, he doesnt think they should get used to "monsters in the keep", he just feels Real Bad about it, but jaskier convinces him that this is his family, they'd understand, and they must miss him.
geralt agrees, eventually, goes up to kaer morhen with jaskier in tow.
but once they get there, he just... totally refuses to explain anything. none of the other witchers have sussed out that something's wrong(other than jaskier's hushed whispering about how geralt should "just tell them, they'd understand")
geralt's genius solution is, he'll just sleep outside three nights a month, he'll bring blankets and his fur will protect him. jaskier doesnt like it, but he's not about to tell geralt's secret, and he cant bodily drag a werewolf inside, so. his only condition is that he gets to sit outside with geralt for a bit, cuddle with him n' such. their excuse is that theyre gross love birds who are going out for moonlight picnics. everyone buys this, partially because its sort of true, partially cuz no one wants to walk in(or out) on them fucking.
it actually works the first trio of nights, to jaskier's surprise, but the 4th night they try they arent so lucky-- they forget something inside(a bottle of wine, a blanket, who knows) and eskel is like "i'll fall on my sword, be the one to bring it out to the happy couple". he steps outside, and what does he see?
a gigantic werewolf pinning jaskier to the ground.
bit of a frenzy after that, eskel attacking and shouting for backup, trying to keep the werewolf in sight while also looking for geralt, getting between the monster and jaskier while jaskier shouts-- eventually jaskier gets through to him though. thats geralt, dont hurt him, its geralt.
geralt isnt saying anything though(despite the fact he's perfectly capable of it, even transformed), and eskel sortve misunderstands. doesnt really get that this has been a long-term affliction, and assumes this is the first transformation. so with geralt not responding, eskel says "not right now it isnt," and gets his hands on one of the training blades they keep in the courtyard.
more chaos-- everyone's outside now, jaskier is absolutely not having any of it but also three grown witchers versus one bard isnt much of a fight, no one's listening to him, and geralt's just pinning himself against the wall like a prey animal and not saying anything.
jaskier proves just enough of a distraction that geralt manages to hop a wall, takes off into the woods. jaskier is calling after him, while the three remaining witchers each make a gameplan(STILL not listening to jask). after a moment, jaskier darts and weaves and makes it just out of their grasp, so they've got a werewolf AND a bard loose in the woods in the dead of both night and winter, which. Bad.
eskel goes after geralt, vesemir stays behind because they need someone in the keep, and lambert's on bard wrangling duty. lambert doesnt have much trouble finding jaskier, but he does have trouble keeping a hold on him, because he's worried about breaking his tiny human limbs(and also he's wearing a lot of thick layers, which he has no compunctions about ripping to shreds to get out of lambert's grip.) he loses a boot and a sleeve to the ongoing tussle, as he keeps slipping out and darting away. lambert even tries axii, but the biggest trick to getting out of axii is just training a lot to resist it, so geralt and him'd run through that a long time ago, so his response is to go fake-limp, then kick lambert in the dick and run off into the night with one shoe.
lambert is extremely annoyed. its not jaskier's best plan.
he finds the cave that geralt had backed himself into by some miracle, and also because eskel'd made no efforts to hide his tracks and there are currently shouts coming from the cave. jaskier gets himself inbetween the two of them and refuses to budge. geralt's still pulling the silent routine, ears pinned back, looking like a kicked dog, and eskel's trying to coax jaskier away from the "monster".
lambert comes bursting in as well, pissed and sore, but stays near the entrance, the four of them locked in a sort of stalemate. the three of them argue about what to do, but jaskier is shivering because of his wrecked coat. eventually geralt breaks his silence to rumble out a worried "yourrr fingerrrs..."
(werewolves roll their 'r's in tw3. dont ask me why, just go with it.)
eskel and lambert are stunned into silence, and jaskier is immediately turning towards geralt, letting him fret and dote on him. slips his arm inside his jacket so his fingers dont fall off-- lets geralt wrap a giant, warm paw around his foot to get some heat back into it.
lambert's like "wait, so you CAN fucking talk?????"
it all got escalated way out of hand, partially because of eskel's reaction, but also because geralt was too ashamed to stand up for himself-- thought maybe they were a little bit right. was basically just going to curl up and let it happen, which he admits with some gentle prodding, and leaves eskel looking sick.
jaskier, though, is absolutely nuclear levels of pissed, because he was explaining everything, even how he'd known for months, and that geralt was perfectly safe to be around, but all the non werewolf witchers were just tuning him out. and geralt nearly died because of it. so he's, like-- he's unspeakably angry at all three of them.
eventually, they do all four make their way back to the keep(geralt carrying jaskier cuz he's still missing a boot), and explain everything one more time for vesemir. everyone looks pretty ragged, because it was a lot of drama very suddenly late at night.
geralt still hesitates in the doorway of the main hall, says he'll make the keep smell like monsters, that it's dangerous, but jaskier just gently encourages him inside and they curl up together in front of the hearth, nice and warm.
from there its little bits and pieces of geralt showing his werewolfy-er side, like dragging in a deer one night to devour raw by the fire. (he looks bashful about it, but jaskier insists its a part of their routine on the road, helps geralt clean his muzzle afterword.) and jaskier slowly encouraging geralt to relax, come deeper into the keep, curl up in a real bed.
jaskier gets less mad, but never quite gets over the fact that geralt's family proved his fears right. geralt gets less ashamed, but never fully sheds his anxieties about being allowed inside. everyone else gets less tense, but never quite sheds the shame of nearly killing their brother in arms while he was fully cognizant-- or quite comfortable with a "monster in the keep". it's still their first winter, tho, so with any luck things will someday get smoothed out.
[the porny ending is that geralt knots all three of them and this wildly smooths over any remaining tensions, but thats just a little fun off-shoot, not the Official Daydream Ending]

okay here we go. You come for my freinds because you cant come at me anymore. And thats not cool.
It has come to my attention that poeple have been all mixed up over what exactly happened between me an @thatdamncutegirl who i have just noticed has block me back.
Though i do hope she remebered to block me on the other three accounts she has made to bully and lie through the teeth through. @introverted-pervert @cavillry and @tanya-alina0044 😱😱 oh look she did! I wonder if it has something to do with the lies and shit she has caused.
Im writing this to show everyone just what this girl has done. The lengths she has gone to because i will not speak to her anymore. Im tagging my freinds the people i want to protect from her and her madness. @killjoy-assbutt-1112 @littlefreya @dancingwendigo @achaoticaugust @viking-raider @thelastsock @wolvesandhoundshowltogether @iloveyouyen @seedless-vascular @lunedelorient and i ask that each of you read this from beginning to end, and make your own judgment of it. i know it is long but i really really want you to see what all this drama has been about.
You make think i am being mean and out of order for nameing and shameing but please understand i have tried to keep quiet not once mentioning any names on my blog. I would not be doing this without good reason. She has attacked my most nearest and dearest because i kept silent. and i am not staying silent any more.
So i shall show you how this all started with screenshots.
These convosations may be triggering as they include mentions of suicide and emotional blackmail! if this triggers you then dont read your mental health means more to me then crazy drama!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(there are som graphic images that i have not posted as it would brake tumblrs guidlines, but i can confirm that she sent me a photo of her wrists scratched open but not bleeding which to me was more a cry for help then a suicide attempt)
Tumblr media
by this point i had got angry, rightly or wrongly because this was the second time she had done this to me.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
at this point she began pretented to be her mother, who was apparantly not alarmed to find her daughter blacked out and bleeding to death.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I will admit after this i ignored her untill the next day, i was angry she had done this after a few months of being so close to her, speaking everyday. she continued to apologize and i in my stupidity forgave her giving one final chance. and then she tried to blackmail me into being fine and dandy with her and it was the last straw and i blocked her.  however i forgot to block her second blog. and she continued to send me messages. see below. above this part she asked why i blocked her and i said that i was tired of the lies.
Tumblr media
(im so annoyed some of the screnshots are gone she began listing off all the times she’d tried stupid stuff to me and i lost my temper)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
as you can see i had enough of this and had blocked her. then i got this the next morning.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
this came as a shock so i did a little digging... and found these.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I do not believe in coincidence. It would seem she made another blog useing a name from one of her posts and the icon that sent her hate was the same icon from her new blog or maybe im just paranoid i will let you all be the judge of that. 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️
and then after i blocked the thrid blog i got this. a message asking for a request.
Tumblr media
i fell for it but it was only after i thought about it, it didnt sound right, once again another coincidence. after i had blocked all four of her blogs i began hearing form a few others in the cavillry asking about it. She has used these new blogs to do the same thing to others and its not right. I have since managed to confim this was indeed her.
i am aware that she has been sending anon hate and trying to put her life on our minds. she is useing tumblr to bully us. I feel i have blocked her for the right reasons. i have been sent screenshots of asks and private messages that are all corroberating a story of her having a death in the family whch has set her off. but she forgets that she has been talking to me and we spoke of family to each other and never has she mentioned having a much younger sister. she is sending out threats and spewing hate to my other freinds saying that i am gunning for her. I dont have to gun for her because the evidence speaks for itself.
i have reported her accounts to tumblr for suicide, disingenuois behaviour, graphic content and bullying. i also know she has been repoted by a few others for these things too.
I am so upset over this and disgusted and all i can do no is apologize to you all that you’ve been pulled into this madness, i never meant for you to get hate or threats or be harrassed and i hope you can forgive me. I made this post to let everyone know exactly what i (and i suspect many others) have been dealing with over the past week or so. I hope that you dont think anyless of me from trying to protect you form this shit, but no one deserves this shit. I have been a fucking wreck and have been physically sick over it. im not here for this im here for smut and thirsting anf stories.

@ 18: the questions weren't actually that strict! you could interpret them however you liked :) that said, im curious what you would add to the story? i love reading ur ideas and interpretations of the characters n stuff!
oh no prob, i did enjoy thinking of what i could change without adding anything new (i will talk too much if i dont contain myself) BUT since you have asked...
ill share these ideas as a general change to the series as a whole (WR and Acceleracers- also i will call Acceleracers AC for short if i need to).
There is a lot i feel needs to change- but two major points are lore (and direction of it in the story) and characters.
The lore of the series is all weird due to what changed between WR and AC, but its also too surface level. its for kids, its probably why its not so expansive. but it does leave a lot of confusion to me and while i would have to spend much more time to fully “rebuild” the world, i will give some ideas on what i would see changed.
One, at least making it make sense all the way through. i think Acceleracers had the best ideas but it shouldve been expanded on in WR- WR barely touched on actual Acceleron lore. Overall i would like to see the Accelerons 100% remade from the ground up. i LOVE aliens and alien society but i feel all we know of them is they race. and thats its. and sadly AC wasnt seen through to where we may have seen a bit more. but they need to be redone, with lore also point to exactly why the drones woke up when they did, what their drive is, etc. Why is Gelorum the way she is too, very important lor aside from characters. I wouldnt want the series to become a huge Lore Dump but there are moments where they intended to drop lore and they just. dont really do that, at least not well. Imagining the series with more extensive lore would obviously see it being longer than what it is, which i think makes sense. in the end if i was to properly write out all lore it would be a huge rebuild of 1) the Accelerons as an alien society, in depth 2) the full origins of the Drones/Gelorums (how they ended up where they did, what makes them how they are now and 3) a more cohesive plotting of events that would lead to lore revealed. also developing what “Scrim” and “clyp” were, along with the actual depth of Silencerz and how far back they go has been on my mind a lot. scrim and clyp just vanish from lore but in my headcanon backstory for Gelorum, i mention how those things existed too. if anyone has more specific questions on lore tho i can answer those individually! its just a lot to go over lol.
The characters though, oh god where do i start. not gonna touch on every individual (feel free to ask about someone and how i would rewrite them/change them), but theres a lot i would want to see different.
Theres some good ideas in the series that are just not explored much, or the actions dont feel like they have impacts. And many characters have literally zero backstory to go off of... Everyone needs at least some kinda origin in mind, doesnt have to be said but knowing where they come from is one key detail that i think is nice to drop some times. characters referncing locations, where they went, etc... its little but its good to have. In the WR comics, most of these characters do have origins! but theyre completely forgotten in the movies it seems. it would have been cool it WR tied together some of these ‘really good drivers’ and maybe they were in the same races together or something. there are 35 people and none of them seem to know each other at least not in detail- other than Vert and Alec who are clearly friends. Kurt Wylde was written to have done some “illegal” modifications in a race, what is someone there knew him? what if it brought up tension/suspicions? Things like that, its all part of where they come from and its a shame the movies just dont connect them very well.
I think theres some specific characters i will give examples to ‘rewrtiting’ and most of it is AC focused!
Kurt & Markie..... i love them, really do! but after WR i just did not like where they went. i get it, kinda ironic for Markie to become such an opposite. buuuut it was a bit much to me. first off, i would actually expand on the “crime” and that would 100% change the outcome of the two. the period between WR and AC shouldve gone different and in turn, i think wouldve changed up MM and Teku completely! i want to imagine Kurt is trying to get away from bad habits after WR but, perhaps has a really good deal with someone who had also gotten him into illegal car part business in the past. he is tempted and ropes Markie in with the idea they could do so more secretly but are caught, and while Markie is nervous and young he spills all the beans, but none of that evidence goes to Kurt and he stays silent, managing to get out of it. However instead of Kurt going to Teku and Markie going to MM.... Kurt tries to join Teku in the idea of joining a less rowdy gang, but Vert believes full Kurt let his brother take all the blame- so they dont allow him in. He goes for MM, which takes him easily but this team’s energy really doesnt help him. In turn, Markie leaves jail and Vert is swift to allow Markie into Teku because theyre friends! and it helps keep Markie in a better place, not wanting to get back into bad stuff. The important thing is tho, this switch up wouldnt result in super harcore, asshole Kurt. i feel like instead, he would be in an awkward place of wanting to improve himself but MM’s rebellious attitude coaxes him into worse attitudes. AND... very much an oppurtunity for Gelorum to manipulate him once more, as the accelechargers are much more important to acquire, with multiple, we’d loop back again. in the end though! i could imagine the story would still bring in the same scenario- Markie gets taken by drones, Kurt saves him, they rekindle and Kurt also comes to realize he shouldnt give in to the ways he used to practice.
i think for AC, in order to find more interest in the characters,  a switch up with the teams would be neat. Markie and Kur swapping was always on my mind, but i have thought about Teku!Taro. I think it would’ve been cool to throw in an background guy from WR into MM... like Harrison Lau. some more familiar faces would bring interesting dyanmics considering their backgrounds. and it think it wouldve fleshed out the teams a bit more in places they lacked.
Another thing i think is clear is there is lots of unexplored potential. Like dyanmics i express with Markie, characters like Lani, Karma, Tork, etc... oh there is so much i would add for them. Karma has a weird thing with being mentioned to look like Gelorum, and her prefectionism too but it was never touched on. What if it caused conflict? What if it made her question their morals? Or with Tork- i would honestly just rewrite how he tackles Tone’s death and the resolution, that whole thing in movie was weird and messy and made no sense to me imo. Lanu had something going for her but she felt so disconnected from the WR characters in AC, which is a shame! oh there are so many to go over lol. i hope to tackle some of these loose ends in the fics i have in mind but yeah... there is so much to say about changing these characters!!

Good Luck Kiss — Asahi x Reader
Summary: From the first moment he saw you, Asahi hasn’t been over your gentle smile. However, he’s so terribly shy it takes him his entire high school years to finally do something abut his feelings.
Posted: 08.08.2020
A/N:
I’m Shiratorizawa trash, reason why, this is a Sharatorizawa!Reader possibly all of my hq fics will have a shiratorizawa reader because i’m traaaashhhh I even have a shiratorizawa hoodie ayyy
Japanese reference: I make a reference to some kanji. [烏] reading: ‘karasu’, crow and [ 鳥] reading: ‘tori’, bird. Both kanji are almost identical, except for ‘tori’ which has one more stroke than ‘karasu’. Reason why, in season 3, some of the Shiratoriawa mistakenly say Torino, instead of Karasuno, becaue they’re reading the kanji wrong.
I usually present the characters as they would in japanese, meaning Last name first, then first name. Also, a lot of people point out how I shift between surname and name, that's totally on purpose. I like the way Japanese treat first names in such a personal way in which only those close to you get to call you by your first name. I feel like this adds a whole level of trust and intimacy. So, keep an eye for that.
Fun fact: Asahi was best boi before Satori’s smug ass face showed up and took Asahi’s place as my fav character.
Word Count: 3.1K
Warnings: fluffy fluff fluff with no warnings that I can think of. Except a few curse words here and there.
Tumblr media
One of Asahi’s favourite memories from high school, ironically, was that time Shiratorizawa effortlessly kicked Karasuno’s butt at a casual game between both schools. It was his first game against a truly intimidating school, and yet, his highlight of the day was that gentle, friendly smile shining warmly at him. And he kept remembering that same smile, shyly chasing after you since, despite the both of you going to different schools.
His desire to go to nationals, since first year, pushed him to work real hard. Along with Daichi and Suga, however, the rest of the team didn't share that same ambition at the time. Just the three first years, against pretty much everyone else. Of course, it didn't come as a surprise that in their first match against Shiratorizawa, the latter won with a truly obscene score.
That match, Asahi sadly couldn't do much. The ace player at the time was your usual Shiratorizawa monster at full power. At some point in the game, Asahi hurt his wrist during the game.
Just like Asahi, you were in your first year as well, and you had the chance to be Shiratorizawa's team manager. Being the only spare person at the moment, you offered to take Asahi to the infirmary. That's when he met you, and since, he was never able to forget about your smile. He held onto the memory of you walking him around the school, talking to him, very close to his heart.
"I'm so sorry!" You apologised as you guided Asahi through the wide halls of the school.
"It's alright, it's not your fault" He answered shyly, holding his right arm close to his chest.
"I know, but the guys in the team truly are scary, I'm sorry you got hurt" The way your eyes looked at him warmed his heart, not only painting a blush in his cheeks, but soothing the pain in his wrist almost instantly.
"They're doing their job” He giggled awkwardly looking away “I'm not mad, I swear. But thank you for worrying…I’m Azumane Asahi, by the way..."
"Over here, Azumane-san" you said politely as you turned on one of the halls “I’m [Full Name]”
"How do you not get lost in this school?" Asahi said following you closely as you chuckled awkwardly, looking back at him.
"Oh, I do get lost. I'm a first year and I’m still not used to this big ass school...But I walked countless times from the gym to the infirmary and back so…" You stopped in front of a white door and slid it open "Here we are"  You walked in first, as you addressed the nurse, looking up from the screen of her laptop and explained the situation.
Asahi waited by the door, waiting for instructions from the woman before him as she asked Asahi o take a seat and proceeded to focus her attention on his writs.
"Azumane-san, would you like me to stay with you?" You asked leaning closer to him, poking your head over his shoulder, as he felt his head grow hot by how close you were to him.
"I...I-I thi-think that wo-would be convenient…” He stuttered as the nurse noticed how his cheeks were getting rossier “I don't think I know how to get back to the court by myself"
"Yeah, thats fair" You sighed and sat next to him, paying close attention to how the nurse was bandaging Asahi’s wrist.
"I know you guys like volleyball and like to play rough, but you'll have to rest for a few days at least" She said standing up from her chair.
"Wait, so I can’t keep playing today?" You looked at Asahi, noticing the slight disappointment in his voice.
"I'm afraid not" The nurse continued “Make sure you go see your family doctor, so they can prescribe you some painkillers, and give you further instructions”
“Yes, ma’am” Asahi answered.
"I'm sorry" You whispered as Asahi looked at you, and smiled softly before looking away.
"Ye-yeah...me too…" He muttered.
The walk back to the gym was a lot more silent than the way to the infirmary. You could tell Asahi was feeling down, however, you couldn’t quite think of what to say to help him feel better. Once back, you saw the score and felt even worse for Asahi and his entire team. 24-5 was a shameful score, and given that he was injured, you could only imagine how he felt. You still followed him to the bench and sat next to him, brushing his shoulder against yours.
It didn’t take long for Shiratorizawa to score the match point, and as Karauno’s team shamefully gathered and bowed goodbye, you walked with Asahi to the entrance, several feet behind his team.
"I'm sorry, Azumanei-san" You whispered as Asai stopped and looked at his teammates walk away before turning his gaze towards you.
"It sucks, to be honest…" He sighed with a small smile on his face, trying to stay optimistic.
"Be careful, okay?"
"Hmm?" The way your wide eyes were looking at him tickled his tummy, nly adding to his newfound crush on you, making him feel silly for developing a crush instantly on a girl he knew he wouldn’t get a chance to see.
"Make sure you rest,” You continued “And take it easy. It'd suck of you injure yourself again and go even more time without playing"
"Yeah, you're right" He looked down at his wrist, trying to gather his entire will to look back at you and ask you for your number "uhm…[Name]?" He said shyly as his heart began beating faster and stronger than before, your hypnotizing stare torturing him as he felt his knees get weak "thank you, for everything" He sighed, not realising he’d been keeping his breath, ashamed that he’d failed at something as simple as asking for your number.
"What are you talking about? I didn't do much" You giggled, once more, flashing that friendly smile that caught his eye a few minutes after he’d stepped inside this school a few hours ago.
"I'm still grateful though…” He admitted, smiling back at you “So, see you next year? When the volleyball season comes around again?" He said shyly.
"What?” You asked “Until then? Azumane-san, that's an entire year from now!” The trace of disappointment in your voice made him feel somewhat better, the fact that you didn’t seem to wait that long to see him again boosted his shy ego “I mean, we hung out in the infirmary for like 20 minutes, but...I had a good time with you!" You said pouting, fueling his thoughts about how cute you were.
"Yo-you did?" He asked, brushing his hand through his hair nervously.
"Didn’t you?"
"Ye-yeah. You're kind, and sweet….and pretty…" His voice faded as he felt the embarrassment cling to his cheeks, not noticing the way your eyes lit up upon hearing him.
"And yet you want to wait an entire year to see me again?” You answered “Did you hit your head too?" You joked as Asahi giggled awkwardly
"I...I'm starting to think I did…"
That memory never failed to make him smile whenever it popped to his head. Just like your texts always made his heart skip a beat. And blessed were the days in which you managed to make a spot for him in your busy schedule. This was yet another reason why he usually waited for Volleyball season to begin, so he could see you during the weekdays, since you were usually very busy and only had the chance to see him a few weekends during the school year and during the holidays.
As Karasuno’s team paced through the halls towards the courts, the echo of their steps only added to their collective anxiety. They’d never gotten this far into the Interhigh Tournament.
"Asahi! You're gonna see your girlfriend again!" Noya sang, upon noticing the white and maroon uniforms gathering at the entrance and slowly making their way in.
"She's not my girlfriend…" Asahi whispered signaling Noya to do so as well.
"Asahi-senpai has a girlfriend?" Hinata asked loudly, as the ace’s face got progressively pinker and pinker, eventually turning red.
"She's Shiratorizawa, though!" Suga teased wrapping an arm around Asahi’s shoulder, making Suga stand on his tip toes.
"She's not my…"
"But she is!” Daichi interrupted Asahi “She's been flirting with him since first year" He laughed loudly, a Asahi kept looking back and forth, noticing how you and your friends were approaching at a considerably fast speed.
"Why haven't you kissed her yet, tiger?" Noya said jumping around him
"Guys, keep it down, she’s almost here…" Asahi whispered irritated.
"Who's this girl? Tell me!" Hinata said spinning on his toes, looking around.
"She's Shiratorizawa's manager. We played against them in first year, and completely kicked our asses. Asahi got hurt, she offered to take him to the infirmary. And they've been friends since" Sugawara said poking Asahi’s ribs as Hinata looked delighted by the whole story.
"We text a lot, and we go out from time to time during the holidays…" Asahi admitted shyly, however, there was still some pride mixed in his voice.
"Kiss her already, ohmygod!" Daichi whispered.
"Yes dude! She's like, super into you, you know that?" Tanaka, on the other hand, yelled.
"Asahi-kun!" Your voice echoed through the halls, as the entire team turned around and saw you waving excitedly, followed by a pack of very tall and intimidating guys.
"Ah, your Torino boyfriend, right?" A tall redheaded guy said waking right next to you as he gave you a cheeky smile.
"Karasuno! It’s Karasuno, Satori! God, you gotta study kanji more" You snapped loud enough for the Karasuno team to listen, as each and everyone of them noticed how you didn’t deny what Satori had said, and instead focused on Satori’s misread of their school name.
"Hey, darling, is not my fault 'karasu' and 'tori' are pretty much identical, okay?" Satori said, still looking amusedly at you as your stare was glued to Asahi’s.
"Asahi-kun!" You caught up with Karasuno. "How are you?" That warm smile Asahi loved so much shone in front of him, as you easily ignored everyone’s stares on you two.
"[Name]-chan" Asahi smiled back as a faint blush painted his cheeks.
"[Name]-san" Ushijima called your name in his usual monotonous voice. "We'll be waiting for you in the court. Please don't take long. The match will start soon"
"Aye, aye, cap’n. I won't take long" You sand as your team kept walking forward.
"Make sure you kiss your boyfriend good luck, [Name]-chwan” Satori teased, hitting you softly with his elbow as he gave Asahi a quick glance. “Unless they're playing against us, in that case don't kiss him!" He joked glaring at the whole team.
"Jesus ficking christ, Satori.Cut the crap, will you?" A dark skinned guy said, slapping Satori in the head softly. "See you in a bit, [Name]"
“Sure, I won’t take long, Reon-kun” You said waving at your teammates as they proceeded before looking back at Asahi "I'm sorry for that…" You noticed his intense blushing right away, and couldn’t help but bite your lip.
"N-no...its cool…" Asahi stuttered.
"Well, Asahi, we'll be going too. See us there?" Daichi said, patting asahi on the back, breaking him away from his trance.
"You're not playing against us...are you?" You asked right away as Karasuno’s team left, every now and then, peeking back at you and Asahi.
"No, we're playing against Aoba" He answered, his smile shy and gentle as always.
"Oh cool. Please win, I swear, Oikawa's smug ass pisses me off so much" You sighed.
"I cant promise we'll win, but I can promise we'll do our best" He chuckled shyly.
"I'm sure you'll do great this year” You said gently holding his arm, as he felt himself catch fire by it “I've been keeping a close eye on you, and you've playing a lot better this year, that makes me happy" You squeezed his arm gently before letting go, as Asahi’s heart suddenly sped up.
"Ye-yeah, we got a couple of first years who are very good, so, we do have a good chance of winning...If we win this match, we'll be playing against you guys, though"
"Oh, wouldn't that be interesting? Look, as long as I don't get to see Oikawa, I'm fine. But hey, if I get to see you, that'd definitely make my day, and pretty much my whole season" You flirted, amused by how flustered he got. God, he’s so fucking cute, you thought.
"You dislike him that much?" He asked, looking away trying to calm himself down.
"He's always flirting with me, even though I tell him I'm not interested"
"Oh" He said, noticing your annoyance.
"Yeah. He's not my type. Besides, I like someone else" You said looking into his eyes, almost as if your eyes were screaming I like you, Asahi.
"Oh...do you?" He felt his cheeks turn red once more, knowing perfectly well you meant him, but he was still so terribly shy, he felt bad.
"Yeah, anywho. I've got to go" You sighed.
"Ah, that's right...me too… I guess I'll see you, then…" He smiled ready to go towards one of the main doors to meet his team, as you headed towards the exact opposite direction. However, a few steps into your way, you stopped and spun on your toes.
"Asahi-kun" You called. Every time you called his name, he felt his heart stop for a whole second, as his sight turned a slight shade of pink. He stopped at once and turned around.
"Are you free after this?"
"Most likely the coach will have us meet at the gym back in school…" He said playing with his ponytail like a little girl.
"Oh…I see..." You murmured.
"Bu-but, that's gonna be late...I-I...do you want to...hang...out...wi-with me? Before that. I-I me-mean, if you're not busy…" He stuttered shyly, trying to bring himself to ask you out for once, instead of always being you.
"I'd love that, Asahi” You eyes shone brighter than before as Asahi smiled “I'll text you when we're done?"
"Ye-yeah...sure!” He smirked proudly. “See you, then” He sang.
Just like promised, you texted him, telling him you’d be waiting for him outside the courts. While the entire team returned to Shiratorizawa on the bus, you told the coach you’d be catching up later, since you still had some pending business. Being the responsible student Coach Washijo knew you to be, he didn’t question you any further and simply gave you an instruction to meet the team at the gym by 8 o’clock.
You didn’t have to wait long for Asahi, and he quickly caught up with you, apologising for making you wait. The both of you walked absentmindedly for a while, talking about how each team had done, and you congratulated Asahi on his win against aoba. Walking into the first coffee shop you both saw, you didn’t stay long in there as the both of you had to return to your respective schools.
It was a short time, but it was one of those dates in which time felt to stop still for the time being, and everything there was was each other’s company and  the gentle tickling anxiety in your belly.
Asahi offered to walk you back to Shiratorizawa before taking a taxi back to Karasuno. And as much as you didn’t want to make it to Shiratrizawa, eventually you arrived at the entrance, barely 10 minutes before 8. You stopped before the gate and turned around. You noticed Asahi staring at you with such a sweet stare, you swore you’d melt right there and then. God, you liked him so goddamn much.
“Asahi, can I tell you a secret?” You whispered looking into his gentle eyes as he nodded silently. "Look, I love to go to nationals, and I love to see my team win, but, I'd actually would like to see you guys win tomorrow"
"You do?" Asahi asked.
"You guys have never gone to nationals...you deserve that experience. Especially because you've wanted to do so since the first year, haven't you?"
"Yeah"
"Asahi-kun" Asahi looked at you at once, noticing a slight change in your voice, only to have his heart stop for another second upon seeing your stare.
"Yes?"
"If you don't win tomorrow, I'll be pissed, okay?" You said playfully, a sweet giggle escaping your lips and caressing his ears.
"Okay, okay. I promise…” He chuckled softly, still looking at you, enjoying the sweet melting stare you were giving him. His entire body tingled, and for a brief second “I promise to give my all tomorrow, for you" You smiled softly, noticing the way he was staring at you, at your lips. With your heart on your throat, you walked closer to him and stood on your tiptoes.
Asahi knew at once what was happening, and knew that the best option was to not think about what was happening, and instead, leaned closer, leaning into you and pressing his lips against yours in the lightest, most delicate of kisses. You wrapped your arms around your shoulders and brought him closer, kissing him back and locking your lips with him in a shy awkward kiss. It took a few seconds for Asahi to synch his rhythm with yours, and once he did, the both of you melted into the kiss. It was slow, and sweet, and much better than Asahi had fantasized. Your soft lips dancing against his, your gentle smell embracing him, and your warmth igniting his heart. Everything about this kiss made him realise how easily he could become addicted to you. And how much he’d been craving this moment.
He had you in his arms, just like he’d dreamed of countless times, you were stealing his breath as he lost himself more and more in the kiss. He wished to hold onto this moment forever. Just like the memory of when he first met you. Breathless, he broke the kiss, pressing his forehead against yours.
"[Name]" He purred.
"Yes?"
"Will you be my girlfriend?" If your heart hadn't stopped beating as he kissed you, his question sure made you feel like it did.
"Oh god, finally! I thought you'd never ask" You giggled, feeling your face get hotter and hotter.
"Oh god...I’m sorry" He said, taking a step back and covering his face with his hands.
"I’m kidding, Asahi” You giggled, holding him by his wrists so you could look him in the face “I know you've liked me since first year. And I've liked you back since then too"
"Really?" His eyes widened, feeling clumsy for asking since you gave signs that you liked him back since day one “I’m sorry...I’m shy…” He giggled awkwardly, as you stood on your tiptoes kissing him on the cheek.

Come in, it’s cold outside
A small fic - unabridged, written in the span of two hours, with original character Ellie, a self insert. I would like you to know that I am not in my forties though. the idea came because I wanted to be able to beat Blondie with a stick but then I discovered he maybe needed the opposite. So here is the epilogue to The Good the Bad and the Ugly we deserve.
A small wooden ranch, barely distinguishable in the dark purple horizon. Smoke blowing from the chimney in the cool evening air. He walked slowly to the front door. As he climbed the steps, a cat greeted him. He was about to bow down to caress him when he heard a gun cocking, followed by a voice as cool as the evening air. “Take your gun off and step back”. He smiled and did as the voice said, which belonged to a woman hidden behind the curtains. “I am sorry it’s so late, Ellie”. He heard hurried footsteps stalking up to him. The door slammed open and a woman in her forties with ruffled blonde hair and a blue eyed scowl appeared in light of the entrance, warmed by the light of the fireplace. She eyed him and her scowl gradually disappeared. “Didn’t know my baby brother would come round”. “Will you forgive me?” Her lips opened up in a big smile. “Come in, it’s cold outside”.
He sat himself on the large chair in front of the fireplace, a glass of water in his hand. Ellie sat in a chair opposite of him and took a good look at him. “You don’t look bad for someone who has been out in the Wild West for the last ten years”. He smiled, and took a sip of water. “You know, I can take good care of myself, Ellie”. She knew. Her baby brother had always been the family’s wonder, one step ahead of everyone in planning how to provide for their needs, taking care of them after their father passed away and their mother fell ill. They had helped each other a lot, back then. They were very similar, both fiercely stoic in their endeavors and unwilling to ask for help - not even a cry - but steady and silent in their taking care of their brothers and sisters. Her baby brother was keen on taking care of the cattle, and rescued animals that were injured, nursing them back to health - as he did with everyone in their family. Only when he fell ill nobody noticed - he never told, never wanted to be a burden on anyone. He was the silent kid, protecting himself from the world by relying on his own strentgth and acute mind. He always made it. She believed in him. So much that when he ventured to the West she took the decision with a peaceful mind - she knew her brother was different, and was not made for the calm and monotonous ranch life. His mind was too acute to be satisfied with everyday matters. He demanded challenges. She had always knew he was different, not only for his mind but also for his heart, which he kept hidden as if carefully wrapped in tight bandages, unused. Girls from other ranches had started to gossip about him when they saw he didn’t care about them - not inviting them to dance, not looking at them with the curious and slow glances as the other boys did. It was so much better for him that he had ventured to the West, where a man could have no history, could not think about the future nor the past, and where only one’s ability with a gun and with the mind mattered. He happened to have been blessed with both. She was not sure then why he had come back, or what was it that had made him want to cut it out with that life. But she wanted to find out. She knew it would not be easy as her brother guarded his heart from everyone including himself. “I can’t believe life in the West got so boring it made you come back here to your big ol’ sister.” “Why Ellie. You can’t believe it because it didn’t. It never gets boring, it just gets too dangerous.” “Too dangerous? For you?” He looked away. “It seems so, yes. Besides I can’t stand a war. Too many lives wasted”. He went quiet for a moment. What had happened in the war? Was it because of something connected to it, that he had come back? “Well baby, you know you are safe here. I have been working tirelessly around here and made this a fine place. I am glad you are here and we are together again”. He seemed taken aback by those words, suddenly losing his albeit faint smile. His eyes were dark. “But you don’t seem happy”. He looked at her, and she saw that he had something inside he was holding onto and was not willing to talk about. “Do you miss something?” He sighed and smiled tenderly again. “I am happy to be here with you Ellie.” She gazed at him. “It’s not about me idiot. Do you want someone to be with you?” She saw him tense all of sudden, his blue eyes lost in thought, and she grinned. “You know baby, I always thought you were alone out there”. He looked away again. “I was not alone”. A pause. “I had a partner”. She chose not to say anything and studied his reaction. Though he was looking away and she could not see his eyes, she saw he was smiling. “We had this scam together. We would go from town to town and get his bounty and split it.” She wondered how this man could have been - stupid enough to risk his life, desperate maybe, and in need of company, and brave, and full of trust in her brother. She felt sympathy for this man.
She told her brother so. “Yes. He was a good partner”. She knew the weight behind those words. Her brother seldom had shown admiration for anyone, and probably had not even told this man so. Maybe shown him, yes. “And so what happened? Did you break your partnership?” A sigh.
“I did. It was getting too dangerous, I told you. He was...” his voice broke. “I... didn’t want to...”. She was flustered. “I am sorry baby. I didnt know he had died...” he turned suddenly and she finally could see his eyes. They were red, his lips now curled in an unpleasant smirk. “He didn’t die. I left him.” “You left?” “Yes. But we somehow found each other again. We travelled a lot, he was focused on his objective, and I was the only one who could help him. We had a deal. Sort of. I thought I had the upper hand. I thought I could get out of it any time. But each day it became harder to get out. Until I didn’t want to anymore. I... we had found something we both wanted, something for us.” He smiled fondly, and looked at her. It was the first time she saw him smile like that, and it warmed her heart. “Baby, I am so glad for you. You deserve it. Thats what I have always wanted for you”. He lost his smile, and gazed at her. “I... told you. It was getting too dangerous, Ellie. I left him.” Fondness had disappeared from his features and had been replaced by a cold mask. His look distant. She remembered then what the workers from their neighboring ranch had done, when they found him and his first crush in the wood repository. They were just hugging - or so she had reconstructed - but the workers had scared them away with their rakes, like rats, saying they were abominable, that they were a shame in the eyes of God, and they should be punished. Her brother’s little boyfriend - she was fond of him even if she didnt know him - was found on the bottom of a rock cave. He had stayed mute for months since then. He stopped touching and hugging her, as well as his other siblings and mother, but they often found him petting fondly their cats, looking for affection from those whom he knew could not harm him. After all their neighbours had done him no harm, maybe because he had helped them with their cattle now and then. they just stopped talking to him altogether. She had not been able to help him then. She wanted to now. So she went up to him, and stroked his hair. They were as soft as ever. His hard features melted. “this world is dangerous and hard, but you know I will protect you”. He looked at her. “I want you to know that you don’t have to stop yourself from being happy because you fear you will harm those you love. It was not your fault. You hear me? It’s ok if you are not ready now. But please know that you are free and your love is not a shame, it’s beautiful and worth being seen”. His eyes were red and swollen. She put her arms around him and stroked his back while he hugged her tight. They stayed like that for a long time. When they parted she smiled at him. “I love you and I hope you will be able to tell it to someone one day”. He got up suddenly and said he went outside to smoke. Their cat entered as he went out on the porch, and she picked it up and petted it. Ellie thought, who knows where this man is now, maybe he has forgotten him already, maybe this world is too big and violent. Or maybe, I hope, it is small and kind. She heard suddenly a voice outside. “Blondie, you son of a -“ she immediately grabbed her gun and dashed out of the door, the cat still in her arms, the gun ready to aim, until she saw them. Hugging.

Tumblr media
Crazy little thing called love played loudly on the speakers in Billy’s car. The windows were opened as the wind howled against your ears. The car’s engine roared as it sped down the darkly lit street. It was late at night and some folks would say that it was too dangerous for a drive but you and Billy were daredevils. You were opened to a rebellious chapter in your life after you met Billy. He was willing to take risks, he was the bad boy you would read every night in your romance books.
Your hand danced in the air outside of the window, creating a wave against the waving trees. You sang to the music as Billy laughed. He laughed like a mad man, feeling the adrenaline rush through his body. You and him howled like a bunch of crazy teenagers you were. You were young and you wanted to live your life.
“So how is this y/n? Is this wild enough for ya?” Billy shouted over the blaring music.
You took a swig of some alcohol located under the seat. It burned your throat as the liquid made its way down. You gave a look of disgust. Billy chuckled and took a drink himself, “too strong for you?”
You shook your head as you felt light. Alcohol still new to you so that small sip made you feel tipsy. You scooted closer to Billy and wrapped your hands around his face, bringing him closer to you. You kissed his lips and his cheek. Your lips made their way to his earlobe, biting lightly on the skin and then whispering into his ear, “Crazy turns me on.”
Billy raised his brow as he smirked, “is that so!” As quick as light his foot stepped on the gas pedal making the car seem to fly through the air. The miles were going higher and higher. At first you were having fun, enjoying the excitement but now it was getting too dangerous. Your smile disappeared and instead a frown was found on your face. You were actually scared.
“Billy okay thats enough. Slow down.”
He would not. Instead he sped more.
“Billy, I said stop it!” You were shaking. The car was going so fast that any minute it felt as if it would turn over and tumble around. Billy cackled loudly. His old, selfish attitude resurfacing. Out from the turn came a truck. Billy was speeding to such a degree that the car was zig-zagging. The car and the truck were about to make contact. Billy was like a deer in headlights. His laughing stopped and now all he did was freeze. He didn’t know what to do. He quickly lifted his hand to go across your body while your hands laid against the steering wheel. The wheel turned and the car spun out of control. It missed the truck but rolled down a grassy hill. The spin was so rough that you lunged forward, hitting your head against the windshield.
Billy quickly made sure you were alright but was met with a distraught view. Your head laid back against the seat. Your forehead was bloody and blood dripped out of your nose. You laid unconscious. Billy was so scared for you. He shook you, wanting you to wake up, “Y/n! Y/n! Please y/n please wake up. Please, I’m sorry.” Tears started to pour out of his eyes. He wanted you to be safe, to be happy.
Tumblr media
He felt so guilty. Seeing you in the hospital bed, machines and things poking into you. It was all his fault. He would visit you everyday, no matter what. You weren’t respondent though, you were in a coma. Every day he hoped and prayed that you would wake up from it. It didn’t matter if you didn’t want to see him anymore or hated him he just needed you awake and alive. Your parents were furious. He would dodge seeing them every time. They wanted to kill him and probably stop him from seeing you but he couldn’t let that happen.
He needed to see you.
Billy entered into your room, flowers in hand. He set the flowers in a vase and put them beside you on the table. The doctor told him that even though you couldn’t move or be aware of anything you still could hear. Billy would always speak to you. He would tell you about his day, about your gifts, about your family. Even though he was going through a rough time at his home, you mattered more to him.
“Hey babe, its me Billy. I got you your favorite flowers today,” he softly massaged your hands. Hating seeing them motionless. Billy had cried so much during this time with you. He hated himself more now if that was even possible. He felt he was a failure to everyone, to you, to Max, to his mother. He felt he was just a waste. Tears started to drip from his eyes onto his cheek, “you know Max made a card for you.” He chuckles seeing the odd stickers on it and the drawings. He placed it next to your flowers. “She hopes you feel better and she misses you. I miss you too. Your parents miss you.” Silence. He despised the silence. He just wished you would jump out from that bed and live. “Baby, you gotta wake up. It doesn’t have to be for me, its has to be for your parents and for yourself. I’m so sorry for putting you through this. Its all my fault. I should be the one there not you, me!’
A knock filled in the silence. Quickly, Billy wiped his tears and saw that it was the doctor who came in. “Is everything alright here?”
Billy nodded. “Is everything okay doctor?”
“Well...y/n is going to have some complications if she wakes up from this coma. She developed a brain hemorrhage and we’re looking at maybe some sort of paralysis. We’re suspecting half of her body but it may be more, we’re not 100 percent sure.”
Billy was shocked and he couldn’t stop himself from crying.
“You monster!” Your father came in along with your mother. Your father ran up to Billy and clutched onto his denim jacket, tears also coming down his face. “How could you do this to my daughter?” The doctor was trying to stop the fight but your father was so irate. Your mother was sobbing in the background and Billy wished in that moment he was dead. Your father shook Billy and screamed at him. “You did this to her. Take a good look at her!” Billy turned to the side and saw you. You laid there calm. Tubes connected to you. “I never want to see you again. Not here, not now, not ever. If she wakes up from this she is banned from seeing or even talking about you. You will stop seeing her here and I swear to God if you think about walking in here again I will make sure you go through the same sufferings as my daughter!” Your dad shoved Billy out of the room and Billy ran out of the hospital. Sobbing silently, alone, quietly outside. Wishing the nightmares would just end.
Tumblr media
Billy had tried to see you in the hospital but your father was always there and the doctors knew he wasn’t allowed there anymore. Billy made a turn for the worst. He just couldn’t live without you. He started to go to alcohol for comfort, missing school and his temper rising even more, taking it out on Max. He was a mess. It was either feeling guilty over what happened with you or getting abused. There was no happiness for Billy.
Billy had woken up with a hangover. Throwing up in the toilet. He was done with this life. Then the doorbell rang. Billy thought it was another one of Max’s loser friends so he called out to her. There was no answer. “Max! I said get the God da*n door!” There was still no answer. Billy walked over the door, cursing to himself as the room started to spin. As he opened the door he was greeted with your face. You stood there, smiling, a cane in your hand as you leaned on if for support. Billy opened his mouth wide in shock, thinking he was dreaming as he sometimes had dreams or feelings that he saw his mother sometimes.
“Is that really you y/n?”
You nodded and jumped onto him for a hug. You gently caressed his curls. “Its me Billy. Its really me.”
“Wait,” he backed away from you. “No this isn’t right. You hate me! You’re supposed to hate me! I hurt you. I did this all to you. I’m, I’m a monster!” He started to cry as his lips trembled.
You shook your head, “no, no Billy. Its okay,” you cradled him in your arms. “I’m fine now. I feel better.” You looked into his eyes. “Look at me, you are not a monster. I don’t hate you Billy, I could never. I forgive you for what happened but there was nothing to forgive in the first place. I love you Billy. With every fiber in my body I love you. I could never be apart from you. I know about all the things you did in the hospital. All the things you said, the gifts, Billy that wasn’t hate that was love. You did all that because you love me. What we both did was wrong that day. We should of never drank and speed, but its in the past know, we learn from our mistakes. I’m not like your parents or anybody else in your life that leaves you. I’m staying put right beside you forever. You can never get rid of me.”
Billy felt speechless in that moment. How did he get so lucky to be with you? What did he do to deserve such an angel as yourself? Billy embraced you again, “I love you so much y/n. I love you so much.” He kept repeating. You placed your hands on his jaw and kissed his lips lovingly. Billy was so grateful to have you in his life. Even though his life with his dad was not easy he had you to lean on. He had you to make him smile and laugh. He had you to keep him going and to remind him to never give up.

Chapter 9
“I try to read.” Spock said standing beside the Captains chair. Not like when he was an adult, because he wasn’t, he stood closer, his eyes more trained on the stars and the private going ons of people.
“What do you read, math?” Uhura asked.
“Lord of the rings, Harry Potter, Alice in wonderland. Terran classics.” Spock listed.
“Oh” Kirk said leaning forward on his chair “just the classics?”
“I try, but when I begin reading them I remember I’ve already read them.” Spock said.
“So what are you going to do for the next few weeks if readings not working?” Kirk asked.
“Unknown.”
“I could give you some books to read” Uhura said “they wouldn’t be classics, but they would be written in this decade.”
“I need a purpose to read them.”
“What purpose did you have to read lord of the rings?” Kirk asked.
“History.” Spock said. Sulu glanced back to Spock and then to Chekov.
“That was my favourite time in history” Sulu said.
“Yes I was fond of the orcs” Chekov said.
“I feel like a hobbit myself.” Sulu said.
“It is a shame that they went extinct.” Chekov said and Sulu giggled.
“Mr Spock, perhaps you are related to Legolass.” Chekov suggested.
“Captain, how are you allowing idiots to fly this ship? This is a new level of illogic I have not seen before, and I find myself unsure whether this ship will survive for twenty eight days in space.”
“Spock, don’t be mean, not everyone knows their books as well as me, or you apparently, nerd.” Kirk said light heartedly.
“What?” Spock asked sharply.
“Would you like to educate Sulu and Checkov on why Lord Of The Rings is historic?” Kirk suggested.
“Lord Of The Rings is symbolism for the second world war.” Spock said.
“Oh” Sulu rolled his eyes “good guys vs bad guys, I guess I should have seen that coming.”
“I love reading for symbolism.” Chekov joked.
“I do read symbolism in books” Kirk said offended “thats enough talking I’m sure you should be paying more attention to the ship.”
Chekov gave a hearty chuckle “of course Sir.”
Kirk spoke to Spock quietly after that. They were quiet whispers about Lord Of The Rings, of favourite characters.
“Captain” Officer Finnegan said approaching him from the lift with a paid “is it wise to have Commander Spock here given that he’s a child.”
“He’s not working as the Commander right now” Kirk said with a smile.
“Nevertheless I don’t think the bridge is the safest place for a vulcan.” Finnegan said his eyes glancing over the tiny vulcan.
“Finnegan” Kirk said sitting up “it’s a quiet day, it is perfectly safe for him to be here.”
“I don’t think it is-”
“I will leave then.” Spock said taking a step back from the captain.
“Spock you don’t need to do that.” Kirk said “Finnegan who the fuck even are you? God this writers so lazy summoning up villains just to move the plot on, and make you say oof.”
“It’s fine. I’m well adapted to telling when I’m not wanted, I’m sure I can find something else to do.” Spock said and turned on his foot, walking past Finnegan with a breeze that even with his small height seemed intimidating.
“Spock come back. Come on” Kirk called.
“No” Spock said almost huffed as he entered the lift.
Spock was an adventurer. In the days before he’d go to the mountains, to walk deep into the desert finding what he could to survive with I-Chaya in tow. Today he wandered the halls of a starship. He started where he would always begin, at the bottom of the mountain. So the lift took him to the bottom of the ship.
He snuck out the lift into a hallway of pipes, where his ears stung from loud shouting humans. No one noticed him as he stayed close the side of the walls. The crew in engineering was different from anywhere else on the ship. Hands on and intelligent thinkers, tinkers and inventors, it was officially professional work, but the lack of professionalism they had would not be seen nor put up with else where on the ship.
Knowing that if he were spotted he would be made to leave, Spock ran and crouched, hiding behind pipes and boxes. Some meters from him Spock spotted a group of humans leaning over an upside down box that they were using like a table. They were smoking, and fans drifted the fumes away from themselves. A red shirt leant with cigarette in hand as he looked bright eyed at the other four around him.
“So I said to him, maybe if you had the surgery on your eyes and not you dick, we wouldn’t even be having this problem.”
His sentence ended with hearty laughter from the others, the sense of the joke, the story, a glimpse of documentation escaping the sense of Spock.
There were boxes piled high in the corner of the room. There were boxes piled high in most places, but the pile in the corner caught Spock’s eyes. The boxes left little more than a meter between themselves and the roof, but on the roof, was a vent. Perfect to climb into. Dangerous to climb into. The perfect challenge. So Spock ducked and rolled to the boxes, and began his climb. He did it slowly and he did it carefully but that wasn’t the hard part. Spock laid flat on the top of the boxes, he had perfect sight over the people. Groups and couples that walked, carrying tools and scanners, tapping at pipes and - Spock squinted. One man was placing duct tape around a leaking water pipe. Spock sighed shaking his head. He should probably mention how bad that is - when he’s older. That can’t be proper procedure. When he was certain no one was looking Spock began to undo the screw’s from the vent by twisting them with his hand. When all the screws were undone and he carefully and quietly pulled down the vent grid and put it on top of the boxes. He climbed into the vent.
No matter how quietly Spock tried to crawl he was sure he was making a racket. He was sure every time he moved his arm forwards the metal clinked and banged. He was sure a knee forwards sent a shuddering though the whole of the ship. After spending ten minutes slowly climbing forwards Spock rolled on to his back and rubbed at his head. He was sure when he came out where ever that be, there would be a group of people waiting to question him. To ask him what exactly he thought he was doing. Why he had opened the vent. What the purpose of doing so was. This was why Spock had stopped. What was his explanation? He had not words he could say to those people. To the Captain, to McCoy. After a while, Spock rolled back around and made his way forth deciding to keep a vow of silence when they found him, because they would. He was certain.
The vent ended at a grid looking in to a dark room. It wasn’t fully dark, there were large windows that looked out in to space, and space lit his way. It took a while for Spock to realise why he couldn’t see anything in the room. There was nothing in the room. Spock slipped his fingers through the holes of the vent to unscrew it. But his fingers, from this side, weren’t long enough. He was stuck. He took a deep breath, and carefully turned himself around. Laying on his back with his feet facing the vent he gave it a few solid kicks. At the fifth kick the vent flew off the wall. Spock escaped. Walking over to the vent Spock picked it up. The screws were still firmly attached to the vent as was a small portion of the wall around the screws. Sighing Spock stood on the middle of the vent attempting to straighten out the mess he had made. The vent actually straightened enough to be passable so he carefully balanced it back on the wall. He took a few steps back examining the vent carefully. No one should notice unless they got close.
The room he had discovered was dark, and empty. It was some sort of unused, perhaps even forgotten observation deck. Could things be forgotten on a spaceship? The door showed the most sign of life, and that door had spider cobwebs across it. How? They must have sneaked on by sitting on someones shoulder. There was also a bench against it and some other planks of wood. The entire place was empty. There were other vents but they didn’t really take Spock’s attention. Spock walked up to window and sat staring cross legged out across the stars. He wasn’t sure what he would be doing for the next few days, but at least he had found this. He laid down on his side, one elbow beneath his head. It wasn’t quiet, wherever he was, he was too close to the engine room still. But it wasn’t a horrible racket he could hear, it was just a gentle purr.
Spock woke some time later, and he turned over on his other side as he watched the door shake. A crowbar shot through the centre of the door. Spock sat crossed legged silently watching the feat as fingers slipped between the door pulling it opened. There stood the Captain, McCoy, Finnegan and Uhura.
“Spock!” McCoy was the first to push himself through he door “what are you doing here?”
He ran forth, making Spock flinch slightly as he ran a scanner over Spock. Spock looked carefully at McCoy wondering if he should keep his vow of silence as the Captain rushed over.
“Is he okay?” Kirk asked crouching.
“According to this he is perfectly fine.” McCoy said standing up.
“Spock, what are you doing here?” Uhura asked concernedly.
“I didn’t even know this room existed. On my ship as well.” Kirk said looking around the room.
“Was it because of Finnegan?” Uhura whispered.
“Yeah Spock” Finnegan said in a carefree attitude “I’m sorry if like I upset.”
“I’m vulcan. You did not upset me.” Spock said standing up, as he decided he didn’t like the attention he was getting. He literally hadn’t spared a second thought to Finnegan.
“Wait, Spock where do you think you’re going?” Uhura asked “you can’t just go off by yourself.”
“Spock, I thought you had gone back to McCoy, do you realise what the ships been like since we discovered you missing? This past hour has been chaos looking for you.” Kirk said. Spock looked at the people surrounding him. His way was thoroughly blocked. The vent Spock had propped up fell on to the floor with a bang, cascading dust surrounded it as the humans jumped to look at it. They turned back to Spock, looking for an explanation as he finished a yawn.
“Oops?”

Dropping a bullies self worth to 0 in secondary school
Sorry this is a long one.
So some back-story,
I've always been good at dealing with bullies, and just not letting them bother me, I found it really easy to disassociate from the usual playground bullying. I'd make a joke and move on. When I was about 9 years old I had to move house and schools due to my father losing his job. And in my new school I made a couple of friends but this focuses on 1 in particular, my future bully. We got on really well, he helped me get through junior school. As we moved into secondary school now at age 11, a new kid joined and remembering what my friend (bully) had done for me, I wanted to return the favour and showed the new kid around helped him, and became good friends, he got me into Army Cadets in i different town which is where I met my (now ex) girlfriend (this story basically hinges on her). This is where my story starts.
Me and my GF were together a year and a half (roughly) through that time we'd gone back and forth visiting each other meeting each others friends usual BF GF stuff. Well my friend (bully) took a particular shine to my GF made all sorts of disgusting comments about her. "look at her tits, she'd produce more milk than a cow" "how have you not shagged her yet?" At 11 this was kind of shocking for me to hear.
I'd asked him to stop numerous times. It made me uncomfortable. She never heard some of things he'd said. Didn't want her to. Whenever the 3 of us were together he started pressuring us into "going further" as apparently everyone had lost their virginity at age 12 we weren't having any of it. Said we'd do stuff like that in our own time. he kept this up for the last 3 months of our relationship, due to that and a few other stresses at the time. we mutually decided to end it. (we are still best friends and I'm happy with that). this is where the bullying really started.
This was a bit after i'd turned 13 and he started making comments along the lines of: "You'll never get someone like her again" "Shame you never 'hit' that" "You're always gonna be a virgin now"
"You're going to die alone" etc. etc.
He did this every couple of weeks for 3 YEARS (As I said I can take a LOT of flak) he could always do this as we walked to school together, he'd helped settle into this new town. part of me always saw him as friend right up until the end. We also usually walked as a group as we'd both continued to make more friends and all lived close by.
To begin with I just said, "yeah yeah whatever, we ended it on our terms, were still friends. we just couldn't deal with all this pressure we have at the moment and want to focus on exams" or words to that effect, or just ignored him. after a few months I realised he wasn't gonna stop so I stopped asking him to stop, and started telling him. "you need to stop this. otherwise I will go to the teachers and say something" he didn't stop at this point I just keep silent. Maybe 8/9 months after us breaking up i go to the teachers say blah de blah is bullying me, saying about how I'm gonna die alone. they asked where it was happening I said on the way to school.
"i'm afraid we cant do anything about it then"
So on our walks to school now I just keep silent. Put music on, low enough to still hear the conversation. But loud enough I could selectively drown him out. after a couple weeks of this, he starts tapping me on the shoulder to get me to remove my headphones thinking Id missed a bit of the conversation. and he uses that opportunity to say the same shit again. at this point I stop taking the headphones out and just keep walking. only takes a week for him to catch on. and he starts pulling my headphones out. so I start walking on my own. away from my friends, this makes me a bit of a recluse at school. To this day I still only have 1 friend from that school (His ex who realised he was a waste of space).
For a month everything was fine. I was happy. Then he changed the time that his group of friends of walked to catch up with me. At this point I started getting physical i'd been doing army (cadet) training. But he was faster and stronger than me. so I stopped that real quick. as it just ended with me on the floor his friends laughing at me stepping over or sometimes on me. I just put up with it.
By the time I was 15 I knew something had to be done, his words had sunken in, they started rattling around my head at night.
The teachers won't / can't help, nothing I said had helped, nothing I could do would help. I got on with my work. and kept my head down. a couple people had started talking to me, one in particular (his ex) and we were chatting on MSN one night. she'd had a couple drinks with her folks in her home. we got onto the subject of my bully
His ex: "He thinks hes gods gift to women, well news flash, he's not, he's wayyyyyy too pushy, just wants his way no matter what, got cold hands, no idea what to do with his tounge, and a dick like a maggot, its tiny and he never washes it, it's disgusting"
And several other slants against his sexual prowess (something he is very proud of) well during this time we had an internal school e-mailing system, and you could send emails to EVERYONE in school, including teachers. A couple people had used this system to message the usual chain mail (like what you get on Facebook now "like this puppy in 5 seconds or your heart will explode, PLEASE COMMENT AND SHARE"). Now i was pretty computer savvy, and had used that to help people with IT work from time to time, even using their login to see what they'd done.
See where i'm going
One of these people i'd helped was my bully. (back before the bullying started) I'd just hoped he hadn't changed his password. Id taken a screen shot of the conversation with his ex, blanked out our names on Windows Paint. Logged into his account from a computer in an unused IT room and sent an email to everyone in school, saying: my name is Blah de blah, i have sent you an attachment about how truly disgusting a human being I am. I have been bullying people for years and I am finally getting my comeuppance.
It took 2 months for them to find out it was me.
They only found out, because I went up to my bully and told him. I wanted him to know it was me.
The punishment I got: a chat with the school police officer about what slander is and that i could go to jail for it. along with 3 dinner time detentions about 150 minutes of break time (i'd never set a foot wrong through school and had A*- B grades so my punishment was reduced a lot) I still got my dinner, I just had to sit outside the heads office during break and catch up on homework. I then had to have a meeting with my bully to try and "sort it out"
As i went in he was crying. All i said was "thats what you fucking get, for driving me and ex GF apart, for rubbing it in my face FOR 3 YEARS, I hope, no I PRAY that every woman in this school has read this and will stay away from you. I'm going to quote YOU here: 'You will die alone' " and I left.
They didn't punish me for swearing, didn't punish me for shouting. I think they were so shocked by the change in me, I am usually a very quiet timid guy. but that day I dropped my voice about 3 octaves and drove all my hate for him into what I said.
To this day (about 7 years after) he still hasn't had another girlfriend (i like to keep tabs on him through facebook) He hasn't spoken to me since. I haven't been bullied since. I've also had several relationships since. And each one has helped me realise his words were vacuous crap, born from jealousy as she stopped talking to him altogether after we broke up.

Blindspot
Corsa’ir woke up to the feeling of Katalin slapping him. She was speaking softly, plaintively. What was she saying? They were drugged…shot with tranq darts. Someone had been there at their home, watching them. Someone had been here, and… they did something?
Something went off in his head as he was slapped awake, something new and unfamiliar.
-CovEr YOur lEFt eYe--dO nOT ShOW aNYonE yoUR LEfT EYe--
Boon covered his eyes, groaning as he stirred awake. “W-what happened…?”
-aCt Like eVERytHIng iS nORmAL--nOTHiNG cAn beTRAy yOUr nEW pURpose-
Boon acted like everything was normal. He asked questions to Katalin of what happened, sitting his eyepatch over his left normally empty socket. Someone had been in their home, someone that Katalin had chased off. Boon sat and listened, collecting himself from a drug induced stupor. His mind raced as Katalin explained everything to him, but outwardly seemed to act like everything was just normal.
The night had gone on afterward, and Katalin had laid down to rest as the adrenaline of the intruder faded, passing off the strange interruption as a bizarre and unprofessional dump of free information for her and Boon to process. In truth, it was all a distraction. Boon stayed awake after Katalin, staring into their dresser mirror; more importantly, staring at his left eye.
It glowed ominously red, a white dot in the center where an iris would be. When Boon blinked, the glowing red machina eye blinked. It disturbed him, this new fake eye that he’d been saddled with. He reached up to it, fingers digging into his left socket to pull it out and finding pain. Pain overwhelming. Corsa’ir silently leaned over his dresser, gripping his stomach and feeling a wave of nausea and headache eat at him.
-yOu dO nOT gET tO ReMOve tHE mORaL CoMPaSS aUgMENtaTioN tEsT dEvICE--nO oNe mAY kNOw aBoUT tHE tESt deVICe--CoVer yOUr LefT Eye--dO nOT ShOW anYONe yOUr LEfT eYE-
Boon groaned. Great, he thought. Corsa’ir turned toward the bed and Katalin, reaching an arm up. “Katalin I--” he began to whisper out.
-yOu dO nOT gET tO ReMOve tHE mORaL CoMPaSS aUgMENtaTioN tEsT dEvICE--nO oNe mAY kNOw aBoUT tHE tESt deVICe--CoVer yOUr LefT Eye--dO nOT ShOW anYONe yOUr LEfT eYE-
Boon fell silent even before he spoke, his voice growing weak and parched for words. Lucky for the miqo’te, he was smart when it came to people trying to control him without it being outwardly noticable. Whatever this left eye was, it was controlling his ability to tell other people about it. Whatever this left eye was, it was speaking directly into his mind and somehow reacting to his thoughts even as they formed. What else could it do? Boon resolved to find out.
The next day.
While Katalin was at market during the day, Boon realized while sitting at home that he caught himself pondering over the value of grievously torturing people to find out where the eye came from. The more the day dragged on, the keeper realized he was indeed lacking in a sense of moral right and wrong. Not even his normal tepid but usually beneficial to others perspective, but absolutely neutral expression toward it. Therefore, Boon needed to understand just how far this new and immediate moral decay affected him. It was a matter not of how it would affect things, but of pure benefit to him, as thats all that mattered to him now.
While Katalin was still at the market during the day, Corsa’ir murdered 6 children who tricked him a few sennight earlier with a bag of wooden gil. He didn’t just kill them, he murdered them in cold and vicious matter for no other reason than he needed to test the limits of this augmentation. All six were tied to wooden chairs and those chairs kicked off a seldom visited pier. Boon watched all 6 children drown, kick and buck and scream as they drown. He felt nothing as the last breaths left them. Interesting.
Another thing Corsa’ir had found was that when he went into the company estate, the stately ‘House of Mystery’ as it was called, was that the eye implant continued to work… that would be annoying to get around. It also meant there was no outgoing signal from it though he reasoned, meaning they weren’t listening in on him at all.
The next day.
Boon had to resolve a plan after reflecting. So far, he was under a few specific orders. One was to act like everything was normal. He couldn’t defy that, but he also knew it would be beneficial for him to defy that. Another was that he had to cover his left eye. Not a problem as he always wore an eyepatch. In the interim, Corsa’ir found out he couldn’t allow a full body scan of himself. He also couldn’t communicate that anything was wrong. These were simple orders, but he’d have to think hard about how to circumvent them. For now? Boon had a meeting to go to. His eye had told him to. “So 52,” She said to him, and Boon just knew. He was a number now, and that number was 52. She was a miqo’te in rather plain clothes, a keeper like himself with a gray and ashy complexion. Bubbly in a pink jumper with a sunflower hat, her pigtails flitting and curling down her back. “Tell me, how is the implant working?”
Boon replied. “It's going well,” It was, he reckoned. “So far no one has noticed it's implanted nor have they questioned anything. It’s like I’m perfectly blending.” Because he was. Boon shrugged then, taking a bite of a reuben sandwich he’d ordered for himself for the meeting. “Gotta say, this is pretty amazing technology. I tried to pry it out but like, nope. Pain, lots of pain both physical and even emotional. How are you doing that?” Even without full control, Boon wanted to get as much information as he could.
“Oh how cute, 52 wants to find out how he’s being controlled. Well sorry 52, that's not for me to know or to tell, I’m under the same restrictions as you.” The miqo’te girl bit into her cobb salad, picking at it randomly as the waiter at the Bismarck brought over a carafe of water. “How did 46 take the information I gave her? Did it distract her sufficiently?”
Boon stared a moment dumbfounded behind his reuben bite. 46… ah, their term for Katalin. “Yeah, she thinks you were unprofessional and just appeared to dump information on us. I told her we’d check for bugs put around the house.” Another bite then, and Boon took a drink to cleanse his pallet. “But nobody checks behind this,” Boon tapped his eyepatch. “So it’s perfectly safe.”
The female miqo’te nodded, sipping her own water and diving back into her cobb salad. “Good. Oh, while you’re here… do you know how 46 got away from our underwater base? Our masters would like to know.”
Masters… that would be something that Boon would spit out with pure vitriol when he was forced to, but he knew he’d be forced to. Corsa’ir considered his options before responding, having all of seconds to do so. He was familiar with people forcing him to answer things, of being tricked and manipulated or mentally drawn to one thing or another. This wasn’t mind control though, it was mind pushing. Nothing compelled him to answer truthfully, but he wanted to… that bothered him.
Then again…
“No,” He answered truthfully. In multiple respects, Boon really didn’t know how Calcifer, aka the House of Mystery worked. Moreover, he wasn’t there when Katalin had made her escape from them. Sure, she had told him how she got away but how was he to know if that was true? Boon had lied to Katalin, so why wouldnt Katalin sometimes lie to Boon? There were multiple work arounds for mind-swaying, and he would abuse them all.
“A shame,” The girl miqo’te in the pink jumper said. “I guess we’ll just have to ask her when we bring her in.”
Interesting, they intended to bring her in. “Yeah?” All Boon said in reply.
“You’re still intending to go to Thavnair right?” The girl miqo’te asked.
Boon nodded, “Mmhm,” All Boon said in reply.
“Good.” The miqo’te said.
The next day.
Corsa’ir stabbed an old woman who’d fleeced him on a tender 50,000 gil deal a few Moons back who had come to ask him for a loan. He hid the body in 11 different trash recepticles.
The next day.
Boon pondered if having his moral sense of right and wrong being stripped was so much of a bad thing. He pondered this while he flensed a middle-aged seadog who refused to give him information on ‘Faux’. The mysterious organization that had very recently stuck a fake eyeball in Boon’s normally empty eye socket was something of an interest to him lately. In the end, the seadog hadn’t talked. Maybe didn’t know anything either, but that didn’t matter to Corsa’ir. He at least had a pile of useless skin left after and another body to deposit in several locations.
The next day.
Corsa’ir realized he could fight against the moral compass eyeball programming that was interfering with his mind. It made him tired though, enormously tired to do so. He would have to use that strategically. Boon played cards with his friends that night, trying to think of the best way to sneak information to them about what was really happening, but each and every time he was stymied. Afterward, he had a long talk with Katalin about boat houses and getting away. His mind screamed more than a bit inwardly. How to communicate…
The next day.
One day away from their trip to Thavnair… they had a job to do that night, but so far it seemed like this group, Faux had no idea what Cirque really did. So far, it seemed that they knew nothing other than Cirque was a circus, and Boon was a rather easy mark test subject for their latest experiment.
That night, Boon resolved to act. Every choice he made that counter-acted the eye made him more tired, and protecting someone other than him, if he reasoned his own mind well enough, tired him out. But at the same time, he was instructed by the mental programming of the eyeball to ‘act normally’. He could use this.
Shield everyone and not himself. Shield Brandt from dying from giant flaming hands with weapons. Shield the target who could likely die and not have it impact Corsa’ir at all. Everything was about mental trickery, everything was about giving them a CHANCE to discover it. There was a critical flaw in the faux--- FAKE eyeball in Boon’s left eye. He wasn’t allowed to let people know about it, but if they discovered it on their own? Nothing told him there was follow-up programming to it, a critical flaw he could exploit. So shield them, fight the moral stripping at the cost of his exhaustion and the ramping overwhelming headache he was being put under.
Boon collapsed, unconscious at the end. His last thought, the one he dared have was ‘Now they’ll give me a scan back at our base of operation, now they’ll see’. No scan was done.
After Boon awoke, he put an eyepatch on in the recuperation room, exhausted… the group was arguing about someone’s action. The eyeball went back to work, and Boon snapped. There was another option though, his last real shot. Don’t act like himself. It wasn’t exactly warning them, it was just him--
Headaches came hard and fast, but Boon persisted. He faltered sometimes that night, slipping into what felt like normal action but every chance he got, Boon tried and tried hard to act not like himself. His headaches grew…
Katalin had gotten so close… He tried so hard to spell it out for her without breaking the demands on him, the things that controlled him. Corsa’ir practically wanted to scream to her, ‘SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH ME’, but Katalin didn’t catch on…
The day of the Thavnair trip arrived, and Boon prepared.

Tumblr media
“-Mom, I’m busy,” Jinyoung muttered into the phone. He had been sitting in a crucial meeting with the Finance Director of GOT Tech and representatives of the Financial Regulatory Board. Receiving approval for his company to go public was one of the most critical and risky steps in Jinyoung’s career.
His mother, however, had been calling him constantly for the last twenty minutes.
Mrs. Park sounded upset. “I’m sorry, Jinyoung, dear. I just needed to reach you-”
“Mom, I’m in an extremely important meeting right now. Do you know how it looks when the Managing Director of GOT Group keeps getting calls from his mother during business meetings? What do you want from me?” Jinyoung demanded in a frustrated whisper, running his fingers through his hair. He tried not to let his agitation show on his face; the other high-profile attendees of the meeting could still see him through the glass wall of the conference room.
“Jinyoung, there’s been a terrible tragedy in town,” his mother began nervously. “I don’t… I don’t know how to tell you this, but i suppose there’s no easy way to talk about a death.  Remember I told you that I’ve been going to the hospital every day to meet-”
Jinyoung felt a burst of irritation. The clock was ticking. The Board members were waiting for him impatiently and he could see the disapproval on their faces. “Mom, did you call me to tell me that someone died?”
“Well… yes, but-”
“Mom, I have been preparing for this presentation for months. The future of my company depends on this meeting. This is absolutely the worst time you could have chosen to tell me something like this,” Jinyoung muttered through gritted teeth. He took a deep breath and tried to calm himself. “Please don’t mess up my focus right now. We can talk about this later. Do you need anything from me urgently?”
Mrs. Park hesitated. “You always seem to be busy these days. I just thought… if we could maybe help out with the funeral expenses or the hospital bills…”
Jinyoung closed his eyes. “Mom, you can just call my secretary for that. She’ll send you whatever amount you need. Send them flowers from me or something, okay? I have to go now.”
“Take care, Jinyoung, dear-”
“Bye, Mom.”
Jinyoung hung up and sighed, pressing his fingers to his temple. His personal secretary had followed him out of the room and was watching him nervously. He hadn’t even asked his mother who it was that had passed away. Was it somebody he knew? Maybe it was best that he didn’t think about it too much for now.
“Take my Mom’s call and ask her who died, send them money for the funeral and all those formalities,” Jinyoung told his secretary shortly. She nodded and made a note of it on her phone quickly while Jinyoung cleared his mind.
Focus. The presentation. The numbers.
Jinyoung took a deep, calming breath and plastered a rehearsed smile on his face before he turned to enter the conference room once more.
“I’m so sorry to keep you gentlemen waiting,” Jinyoung greeted all the well-dressed men with a bright smile. “I hope you can forgive me. Mothers seem to have a knack for calling at the most inconvenient times, don’t they?”
The men chuckled politely. “That’s perfectly fine, Mr. Park.”
“May I begin the presentation?”
“Please, do.”
--------
Jinyoung believed that to achieve something great, you needed to make certain sacrifices.
He had always known that the path he was embarking upon was not an easy one. Establishing your own business meant that you didn't get off work at 5 pm sharp, you couldn’t spend your weekends at a countryside cabin or getting drinks with your friends. You needed to keep working until things got done. You needed to compete in the market. You needed to be strong enough to pick up after your losses and clever enough to make friends in the right places. People were depending on you.
Jinyoung hadn’t merely chosen a career, he had chosen a life.
A very lonely life.
Whenever his mother would call him and try to have a casual chat, Jinyoung would find himself irritated. Who cared whether Mrs. Lee from the grocery store was giving a discount on strawberry bread? What did it matter if Mr. Cha had been trying to sell his little farmland? There was important work to be done. Jinyoung needed to talk to the advertising agents to make sure his products were being launched properly, he needed to negotiate discounts with suppliers to ensure he could meet the planned pricing goals. There were employees relying on him. There were investors who had trusted him with their money. There were quarterly goals that had to be met.
Every second of Jinyoung’s time was precious. Why couldn’t everyone understand that? Why couldn’t his mother stop thinking that her tiny little world in this tiny little town was everything, and understand the importance of what her son was doing?
There are a limited number of hours every man has at his disposal. We each make a conscious choice regarding how to spend each one.
It was only now, standing in front of your mother’s grave, that Jinyoung came a terrifying realization.
He had made the wrong choices.
------
“It was heart failure,” Mrs. Park whispered.
Jinyoung’s hands clutched the cup of tea firmly. It was hot and uncomfortable, but not more than the sick feeling in his stomach. Every word his mother spoke made him feel more pathetic.
What had he been doing all those months while your mother was in hospital and when she’d died? Preparing for his company to go public? Sitting in meetings and sucking up to corporate officials? Only to be fired and thrown out of the company. Only to have missed the death of somebody who had trusted him and cared for him.
“But she couldn’t have been that old…” Jinyoung muttered.
Mrs. Park shook her head softly. “She’d always had a weak heart, Jinyoung. Her health was fragile and after her husband passed away she had no choice but to work to support her daughter. All those long hours and late nights for years… they took their toll in the end. She had her first stroke three years ago. She was in hospital for a few weeks and then she had the second one; the one that took her life.”
Jinyoung closed his eyes, remembering your mother in his mind’s eye.
“She always looked tired. And worried.”
“She was.” Mrs. Park reached out and placed a hand over her son’s nervously. “I’m sorry, Jinyoung. I should have told you about it sooner. But you were always so busy in Seoul, always doing important things. It never seemed like the right time to tell you about something so devastating. It’s my fault.”
Jinyoung let out a small scoff. “Don’t take the blame on yourself. That doesn’t help me.”
Mrs. Park looked upset. “Jinyoung-”
She was interrupted by a loud knocking at the front door. Jinyoung closed his eyes and pressed his fingers to his temple while he listened to his father go to the door and yell at the person on the other side. The reporters had already found his home address. They had started arriving one-by-one since this morning. Each of them desperately wanted an interview with Park Jinyoung, the man who had lost his empire overnight. They wanted to know what he had to say about his dismissal from his own company.
Mr. Park re-entered the living room and sighed. “They’re getting more persistent. I think I should call the local police before they start trying to shove their way into our house.”
Jinyoung nodded and stood up. “I’ll go down to the police station myself and ask them to send someone to deal with this harrassment. Mom, you’ve told everyone we know to deny any reporters who request them for an interview, right?”
“Yes, but is it really a good idea for you to be going outside now-”
“I think I’ll lose my mind if I stay indoors,” Jinyoung muttered. He grabbed the black hoodie that was slung over the back of the sofa and glanced at his parents. They were both looking at him with wide, worried eyes.
Jinyoung felt a sudden wave of guilt wash over him; why should they have to deal with so much because of his mistakes? Why was he always the one taking and yet never giving?
“I’m sorry,” he apologized softly. “I’ll try and be back for dinner.”
------
Jinyoung’s legs carried him naturally towards the elementary school.
Perhaps it was a subconscious urge to see you, even though he had no idea what he would say if you really appeared before him. Anything Jinyoung could have said to help should have been said three years ago. Words like I’m sorry seemed like an insensitive joke at this point; too little and far too late.
Jinyoung sat silently on the bench by the schoolyard with his face covered by his dark hoodie, and wondered how his life had brought him to this point.
Left with nothing with shame.
“Ahjussi!”
By the time Jinyoung looked up, there was already a tiny figure running straight towards him at full speed. He flinched and braced himself for the impact; only to have the small boy stop centimetres away from him and throw his arms around him happily. Jinyoung stiffened.
“What-”
“Ahjussi, you are Park Jinyoung!” Ki-woo cried delightedly. The boy was beaming. Jinyoung noticed for the first time that one of his front teeth was missing, but it was still one of the brightest smiles he had ever seen. “Miss told me yesterday! Why did you lie and say you weren't? I can’t believe the King of the Playground walked me home after school and I didn’t even know!”
Jinyoung couldn’t resist a small smile. The sight of the little boy bouncing on his feet warmed him for a moment and he patted Ki-woo on the head. “If somebody asked Clark Kent if he was Superman, he wouldn’t say yes, now would he?”
Ki-woo’s eyes widened in understanding. “Wow. That’s so true! You’re so cool!”
“You’ll have to keep my secret.”
“Of course I will! Ahjussi, can you tell me how you did it? How did you manage to climb the oak tree?” Ki-woo demanded, grabbing Jinyoung’s arm and tugging on it eagerly. “You have to tell me, you just have to! Were you really tall?”
Jinyoung blinked. “Tall? Not particularly…”
“Then how? How did you do it?”
Jinyoung opened his mouth to respond but he was cut off by a loud yell. He had been so preoccupied with Ki-woo that he hadn’t noticed the much larger man that was making his way across the school yard. Jackson Wang had a huge smile on his face and without greeting, he threw his arms around Jinyoung in a fierce hug.
“Park Jinyoung! Look who finally decided to grace us with his presence!” Jackson cried happily. He pulled back and noticed the blank look on Jinyoung’s face. With a frown, he pointed to himself eagerly. “Remember me? Jackson! Jackson Wang! You used to pass me all the answers in History class!”
Jinyoung swallowed. “Uh…”
“Mr. Wang, you’re friends with Park Jinyoung?” Ki-woo asked, his mouth gaping open.
Jackson blinked and looked down at the boy sheepishly. “Ah, Ki-woo. I didn’t see you down there. Didn’t your teacher tell you to wait inside until someone came to pick you up? Go back indoors now.”
Ki-woo pouted. “But-”
“Nope. Back inside. Now.”
Jackson waited until Ki-woo began to slouch back towards the school building and then turned back to Jinyoung. “Man, you’re pretty much the celebrity around these parts now, eh? We had a couple of reporters come by the school this morning, asking for anyone who used to know you. You have nothing to worry about! I scared them off. These babies aren’t here for nothing,” Jackson beamed and flexed his bare bicep.
Jinyoung didn’t really know how to respond. “Nice.”
Jackson narrowed his eyes. “You do remember me, right?”
“Yeah, yeah, of course-”
“We should get drinks sometime and catch up now that you’re back in town! Man, I really owe you. You did me a solid one that Christmas before you left, remember? I’ll buy you a couple of beers at the pub. What’s your phone number?” Jackson demanded.
“I don’t really have a phone right now…”
“Don’t have a phone?” Jackson looked confused. “Weird but okay. I guess I can always ask Miss First Grade to get in touch with you. I can’t believe she didn’t tell me you were back in town!” he cried, slapping Jinyoung’s arm playfully. “Hold on… you’re here to see her, aren’t you?”
Jinyoung cleared his throat. “Not exactly…”
Jackson chuckled knowingly. “No worries, man. I’ve got your back. I need to go inside and take care of the kids now, so I’ll tell her to come out and meet you here, yeah? Let me know if any more of those reporters come around. I’ll take handle them for you!”
Jinyoung forced a smile. “Thanks-”
“No problem, man. It’s what friends are for. We’ll catch up soon!”
“Sure.”
Jinyoung watched Jackson half-run back to the school building, letting out a sigh of relief. Each person he came across in this town seemed to remember something about him and the one who possessed the most dangerous knowledge was Jackson Wang. In addition to having been the resident supplier of inappropriate magazines and the one who’d convinced Jinyoung to try his first cigarette behind the park back in high school, Jackson simply knew a little too much about everybody.
Jinyoung sat down on the bench and took a deep breath. He just realized that Jackson had said he would send you out to meet him. Why hadn’t he told him not to? He wasn’t prepared to face you. Idiot.
It was a few minutes before you emerged from the school building and walked towards Jinyoung. There was a pleasant smile on your face as you approached, and it made Jinyoung’s stomach turn. How could you smile at him like that? How could you be so calm about everything?
“Jinyoung,” you greeted him, confused. “Should you be roaming around out here? There are reporters buzzing all around town.”
Jinyoung cleared his throat. “Uh. Yeah, I know. Jackson said he drove them away...”
You rolled your eyes. “That idiot Jackson Wang? He was fully prepared to seize his five minutes of fame by telling them how you used to help him cheat in History class. I had to step in and force him to deny the request for an interview,” you muttered. Jinyoung’s eyes widened and you gave him a reassuring smile. “Don’t worry. I sent a message to the principal of the middle school and the high school. Nobody’s going to give any interviews about you.”
Jinyoung felt small.
“Thanks,” he muttered.
“Did they find your house?”
“Yeah. They’ve been knocking the door all day. It’s really starting to bother Mom and Dad.”
Your expression was sympathetic. “Should I call the police?”
“Don’t worry. I was going to go down to the station myself and ask them to send someone to get rid of the reporters,” Jinyoung reassured you. He felt his heartbeat thump wildly as he looked at your gently smiling face. Should he say it? Should he talk about the elephant in the room? Even though he hadn’t prepared what to say?
“About… about last night…”
You blinked. “Yeah?”
He sighed. “About your mother. I’m sorry. I didn’t know. I know that’s no excuse, but I should have been there and-”
You cut him off with a forced smile. “Jinyoung. It’s okay. It’s not like you could have done anything for her even if you were here, you’re not a doctor. Everyone did the best they could.”
Jinyoung swallowed. “I might not have been able to help her. But… I should have been there for you.”
The smile dropped from your face. What could you say? Jinyoung’s eyes were filled with shame but it wasn’t the right time for him to be offering condolences. That time had long passed.
But you still remembered his words from last night as he’d hugged you. I don’t feel as alone when I’m here. Jinyoung had been through so much. How could you say anything to such a broken man except for it’s okay? How could you offer him anything but comfort when he had nobody but you?
How could you not be the bigger person when he was suffering?
“It’s fine, Jinyoung,” you promised him softly. “You don’t need to worry about it.”
“How can I not-”
“Seriously. Please. It’s in the past and nobody was to blame. It happened around the time your company was going public, so I can only imagine how chaotic your life and work must have been back then. I don’t resent you.”
Jinyoung looked up at you in disbelief. “How can you not?”
“I just… don’t. It’s fine.”
“Do you really mean that? Do you really mean that?” he demanded.
“I do,” you insisted firmly. You glanced at your watch and sighed. “Wow, it’s getting late. We have a PTA fundraiser at school tonight so I need to start setting up. Oh! Did you bring my bicycle by any chance?” you asked him hopefully.
Jinyoung shook his head. “Uh, no. The reporters were in front of my house so I slipped out through the back…”
“Can you drop it by the school later? I’m going to staying back pretty late because I have to wrap up after the event is over. It might even take till midnight and the buses stop running at 9 so I need a way to get home. It’s not too much trouble, is it?”
“No, that’s fine. I’ll drop it off here later.”
You gave him a small smile as you turned to go back indoors. “Bye, Jinyoung.”
“Bye.”
---------------------------
The PTA fundraiser left you drained of energy.
You would much rather have dealt with a hundred kids at once than with a handful of parents. At least kids could be made to see reason, they could be convinced with a little bit of logic (however flawed). Adults, on the other hand, believed that they knew best and that things had to be done exactly the way they wanted. Adults were unreasonable. Adults liked to throw around their authority.
You had never wanted to get into bed so badly.
You stayed back late to clean up after the fundraiser was over. It wasn’t required of you, but it was something that you somehow ended up volunteering to do. All the other teachers had families to go home to and kids to take care of. You only had an empty apartment.
Asking them to stay back instead of you felt selfish.
You slung your bag over your shoulder and trudged out into the parking lot to see that the bicycle racks were empty. Shit. Had Jinyoung forgotten to leave the bicycle behind for you? Where was he?
You pulled out your cell phone and then sighed. Damn Park Jinyoung. He didn’t even have a stupid phone. It was far past the time that Mr. and Mrs. Park would have gone to bed and you didn't want to wake them by calling them. But your apartment was too far to walk and you would have to pass by the pub; you had no interest in meeting the town’s drunkards alone in those narrow alleys  at midnight.
You sighed and dialled another number.
“Jackson, hey. I’m so sorry, I know you just left a little while ago, but…”
-------------------
It was 1am when you heard a loud banging on your front door.
You had just finished taking a shower and were getting ready to slip into bed when the noise began. Your heartbeat racing, you grabbed hold of a kitchen knife quickly and then slowly approached your door.
“Who’s there?” you yelled out, voice shaking.
The voice that replied was muffled. “Jinyoung!”
Jinyoung? At this time of night?
You opened the door carefully. The first thing that hit you was the awful smell; Jinyoung stank of sweat and cheap beer. His eyes were red and his face flushed as he looked at you almost wildly.
“Are you okay?” he demanded, grabbing your shoulders to look at you properly. His hands were trembling and he seemed unaware of how loud his voice was. “Are you all right? I was looking for you everywhere!”
You raised an eyebrow at him. “Wow, you’re drunk.”
Jinyoung’s eyes widened. “I’m sorry- I’m so, so, sorry-”
“How about you come inside before you bring my neighbours running over with all of your noise?” you snapped. You had little patience for drunks, and knowing that Jinyoung had been out getting drunk instead of returning your bicycle did not please you. “Where have you been?”
Jinyoung stared at you helplessly, his arms waving around as he spoke. “I-I was just going to get one drink, I swear. But it led to another and I totally forgot about your bike and I was so scared that you might have walked home because I know that path passes by the pub and it’s not safe-”
“Relax,” you told Jinyoung as you guided him gently towards your couch. “I didn't walk. I called Jackson, he drove me home.”
“Jackson? Wang? Why? Are you guys close?” he asked, plopping down heavily on the couch.
You shrugged. “He’s a good friend.”
Jinyoung paused for a moment and then hung his head quietly.
“We used to be good friends.”
You looked down at Jinyoung properly. He was a wreck. His dark hair was a tangled mess and the light blue dress shirt he was wearing was wrinkled with a beer stain on it. There were even large sweat stains under his arms; he’d probably cycled all the way here in a panic.
And he’s one of the Most Eligible Bachelors under 40. If only the magazine had seen him like this.
“We’re still friends,” you told him lightly. “Although it wouldn’t do any harm to return my bicycle when I ask for it. Do you want a glass of water?”
Jinyoung blinked at you dazedly. “Do you have beer?”
“Absolutely not. Haven’t you had enough?”
His lower lip pouted slightly as he stared down at the floor. “I’ve been drinking all evening but I haven’t reached the point where I feel good or forget about my problems yet. In fact, I keep thinking about them even more. How about a cigarette?”
“You will not smoke in my house,” you told him with a firm glare.
To your surprise, Jinyoung suddenly smiled. It was only a gentle curve of his lips but you spotted it and frowned at him with your arms folded across your chest. “Are you feeling proud of yourself right now? Do you think your behaviour is something to laugh about?” you demanded.
Jinyoung looked up at you softly. “No.”
“Then why are you-”
“Because this is the first time you’ve given me that look since I came back,” Jinyoung admitted quietly. His voice trembled. “This is the first time you got angry at me. You don’t seem to get angry at me anymore.”
You didn’t understand. “Why would you want me to be angry at you-”
“Because you have to be angry with someone before you can forgive them. You have to first admit that they hurt you or that they did something wrong, and only then can you begin to repair your relationship,” Jinyoung whispered. He looked up at you and you could see the tears brimming in his eyes. “So tell me honestly. Have you forgiven me already?”
You swallowed. “I was never mad at you to begin with-”
“You’re lying.”
You clenched your fists as your heartbeat thudded. “I’m not lying. You’re drunk. You should drink some water and you can sleep on the couch-”
Jinyoung looked up at you, his eyes bloodshot yet surprisingly clear. “You are lying. Either you’re lying or you’re not the same girl I remember.”
“Why would you say that?”
“Because the girl I knew wouldn’t have pretended to forgive a friend to spare his feelings. She would have grabbed me by the shirt, looked me in the eye, and said Park Jinyoung, you’re an absolute bastard for leaving me here when I was having a hard time. She wouldn’t have spared my feelings. She would have expected me to be there for her because that’s what friends do. They count on each other.”
You closed your eyes. How had Jinyoung seen right through you? Even after 10 years, how could he see through you like you were made of glass?
“I’m not angry,” you tried to tell him slowly, even though you weren’t sure who you were convincing anymore. “Because I never expected you to be there. You were busy and I had no expectations-”
Jinyoung scoffed. “You’re lying again.”
“I’m not-”
“You are. Friendship is when you help someone, because you trust that they would do the same for you. What you’re doing for me isn’t friendship. You don’t trust me anymore. If you have no expectations from me, then that’s charity!” Jinyoung spat out. Tears were brimming in his eyes and his voice was choked. “Is that what I am to you? Charity?”
You clenched your fists and let out a small, humourless laugh. “I can’t believe I’m hearing this.”
“What?”
“Where the fuck do you get off accusing me of treating you like charity? After what you did?” you snapped.
Jinyoung stared at you blankly. “Tell me.”
Your throat closed up. You didn’t want to talk about it. You didn’t want to drag yourself back to what had been the lowest point of your life, especially not in front of Jinyoung. You didn’t know who he was to you anymore. How could you open up to him?
“I can’t,” you muttered. “I don’t want to talk about it, Jinyoung.”
“Please,” Jinyoung whispered. “Please. At least tell me I was a terrible friend for not being there. Tell me I was a terrible friend for not even knowing about your mother.”
You took a deep breath and sat down, your knees feeling weak. You had never imagined that you would have to sit next to Jinyoung and say these words to him while he was drunk. Yet, as his dark eyes pierced into yours, he looked more sober than ever.
“It was my fault she died,” you whispered, shakily. “I know how hard my Mom worked to raise me. I know how much she struggled after my Dad passed away. The doctor told me her heart attack was probably caused by stress- years of it. She was growing old but she’d never even gone for a health check-up because we couldn’t afford it.”
Jinyoung stared at you silently.
“I needed someone to say this to back then,” you admitted quietly. “I needed someone who would listen to me and who wouldn’t try to convince me that it wasn’t my fault or that I didn't do anything wrong. That’s what everyone kept doing. They kept trying to comfort me but I just wanted someone who would listen. I wanted you,” you mumbled.
Jinyoung only nodded. His hands reached out to take both of yours. He grasped them tightly.
“I knew you were busy, but I always had this hope that maybe you would come to the funeral,” you whispered. “I thought… surely, whatever I did to make you cut me off, it wasn’t so bad that you wouldn't even turn up to my mother’s funeral. But the truth was that I couldn’t grieve properly because the hospital was hounding me about the bills, I…”
You took a deep breath. You hated thinking about those moments. You had felt so helpless and alone, backed into a corner. “I don’t think it even sank in that my mother was dead until a few days later,” you mumbled. “ I spent the first day wondering how the hell I was going to pay the hospital bills instead of thinking about her. Your mother tried comforting me, she told me it would all be fine and that she would call you for help.”
Jinyoung closed his eyes; tears were clinging to his eyelashes.
“She did,” he mumbled.
You felt the walls around you come crashing down as you looked at the broken man in front of you. You remembered how badly you’d wanted to see him then, how much you’d craved his comfort. You remembered how furious you had been when you realized that Jinyoung had abandoned you.
“I thought you would call,” you mumbled. “I didn’t want to disturb you but at the same time I trusted that you wouldn’t leave me alone at a time like that.”
Jinyoung’s voice was soft. “I’m sorry.”
“It would have been better if you hadn't done anything at all,” you mumbled. “Maybe then I could have forgotten about it in the mess that I was going through. But you didn’t. I got a call from your secretary the night before the funeral.”
Jinyoung lowered his head. His hands were trembling even as they held yours and you could hear his soft sniffle. “Shit,” he muttered, his voice thick with tears. “Shit, I can’t believe-”
“I thought you’d finally called. But it wasn’t you. I had to hear some strange woman tell me over the phone that Park Jinyoung is sorry he can’t make it to the funeral but he sends his condolences,” you choked out. You smiled humorlessly. “As if I was some distance acquaintance you barely knew. You sent me your condolences through your secretary.”
“I didn’t- I didn’t know it was you…”
“And then she told me that if I would just email her a copy of the hospital and funeral bills then all the expenses would be taken care of,” you mumbled. “She said that she could send me as much as I needed, no limit. I was so embarrassed. I wanted-I wanted to tell her that you could go fuck yourself and that I didn’t want your condolences and your money. I wanted to refuse so badly, but…”
You hung your head in shame. “But I couldn’t,” you whispered. “I couldn’t say that to her because it was true. I had no other way of paying those bills. So I sent her the details and I let you pay for them. Whether you know it or not, you paid for all my mother’s hospital bills and funeral while I sat here and wondered how I had become such a worthless daughter.”
Jinyoung’s hands clasped yours so tightly that it hurt. His shoulders were shaking and you could see the sobs racking his chest. “I didn’t mean to-” he sobbed. Jinyoung’s tears landed on your clasped hands. “I didn’t mean to, I swear…”
You slowly removed your hands from his. “I have the accounts,” you muttered. “I’ve been saving up to pay you back. It might take me a few more years but-”
Jinyoung flinched. “Don’t say that.”
“It’s not open to discussion, Jinyoung.”
“Don’t say you’ll pay me back, please-”
“I will pay you back,” you said firmly. You took a deep breath. “You know why? Because I might be able to forgive you for not being there when I needed you. But I will never, never forget how cheap I felt the moment I ended that phone call. So don’t talk to me about charity; I know how it feels to be on the other end of it.”
Jinyoung closed his eyes. He felt light-headed and blank as he thought about everything you’d said. No wonder you didn’t consider him a friend. No wonder you couldn't bring yourself to be honest with him. No wonder there was something fake and forced about your every smile.
Jinyoung hadn’t just messed up.
He had destroyed something precious to him without even realizing it.
“It’s late,” you mumbled after a brief silence. “You should go to sleep. Here, just; make yourself comfortable on the couch and I’ll get you a blanket and some pillows.”
Jinyoung swallowed. “I-I can’t…”
“You’re not going anywhere at this time of night while you’re drunk,” you told him. You pushed him lightly so that he leaned back against the sofa. “Stay put. I’ll be back. I think we’ve talked enough for tonight.”
“Can you just promise me one thing?” Jinyoung asked quietly.
“What’s that?”
“Even if you don’t consider me your friend anymore, even if you’re just being nice to me because you’re that kind of a caring person… don’t give up on me completely.” Jinyoung looked up at you desperately. “Please. Tell me that I can fix things. Tell me I haven’t broken our friendship and my life beyond repair.”
You looked down at him. Lying on your couch in his crumpled dress shirt and the beer stains, Jinyoung looked pathetic. Perhaps it was because you’d finally let out all the resentment you’d been bottling up for so long. Perhaps it was because, looking into Jinyoung’s eyes now, you could see that he did care. But you suddenly didn’t feel so hollow anymore.
You didn’t feel so lonely in your pain.
“Everything can be fixed, Jinyoung,” you told him softly.
“Even us?” he mumbled.
You nodded. “Even us.”
“Even me?”
“Especially you.”
Jinyoung slowly closed his eyes and you went into the other room to get him a spare pillow and a blanket. He let you place the pillow under his head and snuggled into the soft blanket. You turned to switch off the light when you heard him mumble.
“You know something?”
“What, Jinyoung?”
“I thought that the most unbearable thing about being fired from the company was all the effort I’d put into it. I thought I couldn’t bear it because I’d done so much for it for the years,” he said slowly.
You blinked at his curled up figure under the blanket.
“But it’s not?” you asked.
Jinyoung shook his head. “It’s not how much I’ve done for the company that I can’t bear. It’s how much I sacrificed for it.”

Thanks for reading 🖤
Tumblr media
The three of you finished the Rest of your Meal mostly in Silence. They don’t ask more questions or expect you say anything else, which you appreciate. After everyone is done and you are sure you had never been this full, they lead you back inside and upstairs. They bring you to a Place, that looks kind of like a Hospital Room, but also a Laboratory. You look around the Glass Room nervously and sit down in one of the Chairs, as instructed, as the two other woman pull up stools to sit in front of you. You play with the sleeves of you Sweater and look at the Floor. Maybe this was it, but they had been so nice to you, gave you food and clothes. What if It had all been a trick and now they had you where they wanted you?
“Y/N?”, Maggies voice pulls you out of your spiraling thoughts and makes you look up.
“We just have a few questions for you. You don’t have to answer anything that you don't want to.”
She slightly raises her hand and it looks like she wants to place in on your leg as a sign of comfort, but decides against it.
““Would that be Alright with you?”, Alex speaks this time.
You nod and she continues.
““Where are you from?””
Your eyes remain glued to the Floor. You don't even react to her question, because you are not going to answer this one. You would never give your People away.
“”Y/N. We are only trying to help you, we Promise.””, Maggie chimed in.
Its silent for an uncomfortably long time before Alex and Maggie share a look and the later reaches for the Whiteboard again.
“”Here.” She places it in your hands.
““You can use this if it makes it easier. Or let us know if you have a hard time understanding us?””
You take the board and look at it for a little while longer, before giving it back.
“”Can’t.””, You simply say as you try and hold eye contact.
Maggies eyebrows crease in confusion at that statement.
“”You can’’t what? Tell us? It’s alright. You are safe here..We are just try-“”
““No Maggie.I don't think thats what she means.””
Maggie looks over to her Girlfriend in confusion and back to you before her face morphes into understanding and then she looks at you with sad eyes, maybe even pity? You are ashamed now and you want to get out of there. Turning your whole Face away from them this time, being sure that Tears would soon fall. Since when did you become so sensitive?
“You “don’t know how to write?””, Alex specifies. Her voice doesen’t hold and kind of judgment and you nod. Maggie doesn't miss a beat.
““Thats alright, sweetie! Don't even worry about it. Its not a big deal, I’m sorry I brought it up.”” This time Maggie does put her hand on your leg and to your surprise, you don't flinch away.
““Do you have anybody here?””
You shake your head, No.
““Is there anybody we can call for you?” Someone that might be looking for you?””
Another shake of your head.
Silence.
““We can help you find them.””
Silence.
““Is there anybody..-“”
““No.””, You answer that one quickly, having known that answer for years.
““Nobody.””
“”Okay.””, Maggie pulls her Hand away to rub her tights nervously.
““Well uhm..Who takes care of you?””, Alex voice is laced with concern as well as curiosity.
““Me. I take care Myself.””, Your voice is still small, but you feel yourself get a little more confident in what you say.
After another couple of Minutes of probing questions, which you don't give or have answer for, they both excuse themselves and you can't help but watch them discuss something on the other side of the Glass Walls. The next thing you know, they were making some arrangements while you patiently sit in the Chair. Not knowing what to do with yourself at this busy place, you decide to stay put until instructed otherwise. A couple more Minutes pass before they come back to get you and lead you to another Car. Apparently they were taking you to a place called Home. They take you up to an Apartment and you slowly walk through the front Door, taking in your new surroundings. It had gotten pretty late, so they just give you a quick Tour which ends at the Guestroom.
““This will be your Room for now. Until we can figure out the next steps. I know its not a lot, but this kind of all happened on such short notice.”, Alex chuckles nervously as you look around the Room in wonder.
You walk around and look at the bed, tracing the soft fabric of the blanket with your hand. You turn around and see both of them eyeing you expectantly from the Doorway. You nod and try your best at a small smile, hoping they can see how grateful you are.
““Alright then. I’ll go grab something for you to change into and we’’ll leave you to it. Do you have everything you need for tonight?””
You nod.
““Good. Nothings else we can do for you right now?”
You want to say that there is nothing. Say thank you and that this is more than enough, but there is just one thing that you really want, but you are too afraid to ask. You had never asked for anything before. Either because you weren't’ allowed or you just never wanted anything, but with these two, you feel like you can at least give it a try. Alex can see you biting your bottom lip, nervously building up the courage to ask what you have in mind.
““You can just ask, Sweetie. We will try our best to make it happen.””, Maggies warm eyes give you the last bit of encouragement you need.
““Take it? Please?”” They both turn around to look at what you are pointing at.
“”Take off the Door?””, Alex wonders out loud.
““No!””, you answers quickly. You wanted the Door. It brought you a sense of privacy and protection, but you just didn't’ want it to be able to stay closed. You hated that sound, you'd go as far as saying you were scared of it. That sound of the Door shutting and the Lock turning, not knowing the next time it would be unlocked and opened. You couldn't stand hearing that sound ever again and knowing that you would be trapped on the other side. Not wanting to tap into the feeling that it brought you any further, you quickly continued.
““No Lock. Please.””
Maggie doesn't even waste another breath, excusing herself as she leaves the Room. You think you overstepped and shrink in on yourself, but then she returns not even a minute later with a screwdriver in her hand. She kneels by the Door and starts working on taking the whole Lock off. Alex looks at her girlfriend with nothing but love in her eyes.
“”Here.””, Maggie gets up once the Job is done and hands you the parts that she took out.
““You can hold onto this for us.””, She winks at you as you gratefully hold out your hands to grab the items from her.
You all say your Goodnights and they leave you alone in the Bedroom, gently closing the Door on the way out. After laying awake in Bed for a couple of hours and being sure that Maggie and Alex were asleep, you slowly tip toe out of the Room. You had made an escape Plan and were ready to get out of there. Of course, this had been nice, but also way too good to be true. First, you went into the Kitchen, grabbing some Items from the Fridge and bringing them back to hide under your Bed. It was a back up Plan, in case your Escape failed and they would lock you in that Room for good. At least then, you would have some Food stacked away. After that was all taken care of, you had grabbed the keys for the Car from the little table next to the Door. You didn't’ know how to drive, but it did not look that hard. Firguring it out should be easy, you always find a way. Feeling your pockets, you made sure the couple 10 Dollar bills you had found in on of the drawers earlier were still there. Sure, they had been nice to you and you felt shame rise in the back of your throat, thinking how you were stealing from them. They had been so kind to you, as kind as anybody had ever been in fact. But this wouldn't’ last, you didn't know their strategy just yet, but you weren't going to stick around to find out what their plan here was. You had gotten some food and new clothes out of this and that's already an improvement to how your day had started. Thats all you really needed anyways. This was for the better, because once they found out what you are and what you can do, they would send you away anyways. Or worse, do what Cadmus did to you. A shudder went down your back, so you took a deep breath and started to undo the first lock of the Door, trying to be as quite as possible. That's when you heard hushed voices coming from the Room across the Hall. They were talking. Realizing they were Talking about you, you couldn't’ help but sneak a little closer and listen in.
““...know Danvers, but its just not that simple. She needs help. Real help””
You inch closer.
““Yes Babe, but who is going to fight for her if not us?””
There was no answer so Alex continued.
“”She has no one. What are we going to do? Let her go into the system? She’’ll drown. No one is going to give her the attention she needs right now and she’ll just end up right back where we found her..””
Maggies tone rises slightly, even in her whispered voice.
““Don’’t you think I know that? I see it everyday, Alex. It’s just not as easy as you might think. We’ve known her for what? A day? We barley got her to talk maybe 4 sentences.””
You can hear the sheets rustling and for a second you think one of them is getting up, but then Maggie continues.
“”She made us take off the Locks. Alex, she probably thought we were going to lock her in there once we closed the Door. She was testing us, which I don't blame her for, but no child should have to think like that.“”
She lets out a long and shakey breath.
„”She has obviously lived through some horrible things that we don't even know the extend of. So What if...What if what we can give her is just not enough?“”
The sheets rustle again and you are practically glued to the Door at this point.
““Maggie. Maggie, Look at me. Listen, maybe it is enough and maybe it isn't. No one can know that, but at least we can try. Right? This is all we got right now, all she got. It’s her best shoot at something different. A better Life, that I know we can give her. Its not ideal, I agree with you and it won’t be easy, but we have to at least try. Please, let us try?””
This time its quite for so long you almost thought they went back to sleep, but then Alex continues.
“”You trust me, right?””
““Yes babe! Of course.””
“”Alright. Then trust me when I say, whatever you can give, will always be enough. All day, you were so perfect with her. Do this with me? Not because we have to, but more so because we want to.”
””Okay. Alright. Yes, I want this to. Because I know it will be alright, as long as you are there beside me.””
You hear a soft kiss exchange between the two of them.
““I love you.””
Another gentle Kiss.
“”I love you too, Forever.””
“”Forever.””
You stand there frozen for a minute, before shaking yourself out of it and making your way back towards the Front Door. You grab the handle, but can't get yourself to twist it. Turning around you lean against the Door and slide down until you sit on the Floor and your chin is resting on you Knees. Tears prickle in your eyes as you think back to today's events. You sit there for a while before you whisper into the dark.
“”Forever.”” You repeat to yourself in a shaking voice.
You decide you like the sound of that word. Its sounds lika a promise that could never be broken, like a invisible bond that connects two People beyond the end of time. You wonder how a simple word can hold that much Power.
““Forever.””, You say it again as you close your eyes.
You don’t know how long you sit there, keys still cluched in your Hand and silent Tears escaping your closed eyes. Even in your uncomfortable Position, the exhaustion form the Day finaly takes over, making you drift into a peacful slumber.

Suspicious Nature Part 12
[Beginning] // [Previous] // [Next]
WARNING: Talk of Rape... Noncon... blood, violence, and a lot of smut...
Dean opened the door to Gabriel, holding a tray of food for them both. “Come on in,” he whispered, stepping to one side, “Cas is still asleep.”
Gabriel wrinkled his nose at the scent of the room but nodded, silently, moving into the room to set the tray down, collecting the dishes from the breakfast the day before.
Dean smiled softly. “I’m sure Cas would want to speak with you? Do you want to wait? You can go into the office if you like.” He offered softly.
Gabriel shook his head as he collected the clothes that were scattered about as well. “No… I need to get back to the kitchens.” He explained. “I’m sure Cas would prefer to sleep. He gets so little of it without his heats.” He admitted softly.
Dean nodded, “he’s saying he’s not sleeping well. And he’s still incredibly pale. I don’t know if he’s ill and just hiding it or if it’s his heat.” He admitted.
Gabriel paused at that, glancing towards his brother’s sleeping form before moving to Dean’s side. “The paleness is probably from the mix of infection, exercise and loss of blood.” He admitted. “All of which should make him exhausted. So I don’t know why he’s not sleeping well.” He added, thinking aloud. “It shouldn’t be his heat… Then again… I’ve heard that some Omega’s who have experience… some abuse in the past, have a hard time sleeping during heat.” He shrugged. “He seems like he’s not having much trouble now.” He pointed out as he watched the Omega. “I brought up some pretty hearty food that should help him feel a bit better. Beyond that, I would just make sure his bandages are being changed regularly. I don’t think there is much we can do about the sleeping issue.”
Dean nodded, “I- has he ever been abused?” He asked softly. “We tried a... position which affected him badly.” He said softly. “He’s only been sleeping well when I’ve basically scented him to sleep. I changed the bandages as he fell asleep and when he wakes I’ll do it again. I might let him bathe with the bandages off to let the wounds soak in just warm water.”
Gabriel gave a small scoff at the question. “I’m surprised he didn’t tell you about when he let you share his heat with you.” He pointed out before hesitating. He wasn’t sure Cas would be okay with Gabriel telling Dean about his past. Still… it was obvious Cas trusted the Alpha, even if he would never admit it. “Why don’t we move to the office and I’ll tell you about it?” He offered, not wanting to risk Cas overhearing the conversation.
Dean looked over at Cas one more time before leading Gabriel into the office. “He’s only told me that he’s had one heat.” He said softly. “I’m just trying to help him through it. He seems so overwhelmed.”
The smaller Omega nodded, taking a deep relieved breath now that they weren’t in the room. He gave a small nod moving to sink down into a chair. “One real one, anyways.” He acknowledged. “Our Father wasn’t the greatest person…” He sighed. “After Mother died giving birth to Cas he grew worse. He always hated Cas… I think he felt like he was to blame for her death.” He admitted before shrugging. “When Cas presented as an Omega, it was an excuse to finally be rid of him. Father sold Cas to the first person who would have him. A traveling merchant looking for cheap labor and a good fuck. We were both very young… I wasn’t really aware of the details behind Cas leaving but I knew something was up, so I went after him, got hired on by the Merchant’s wife.” He explained. “It wasn’t long after that Cas went into his first heat. The Merchant had sent his wife away the moment he started noticing the signs which meant I went with her. I didn’t know what to look for… I was the youngest before Cas came along. He never really told me the details of what happened…” He admitted, his own scent shifting to anger, bitter hate, sorrow, and a lot of shame. Gabriel was very good at hiding his scent for the most part but there were times that his emotions seeped through, usually when they were far too strong to contain. He lowered his gaze, but continued. “We came back about a week later and Cas was nowhere to be found, but I could smell him… The Alpha reeked of him. His wife didn’t say anything… didn’t /do/ anything… But she knew… she knew! He refused to say anything until I threatened him with a knife… I wasn’t much of a threat back then but… I got my point across. He finally told me, when he got his hands on me… taunted me with it. Apparently he had had his way with Cassie until he couldn’t move, couldn’t make a sound… Then when his heat was over he dumped him on the side of a road somewhere and never looked back.” Gabriel explained, voice cracking as he stared down at his hands. “When I was able to walk again I back tracked, searching for my brother but… It had been a few days… For all I knew he was dead… I started asking everyone I could find but… no one knew anything… Or they didn’t care enough. That kind of thing happens to Omegas all the time… What was another one?” He shrugged. “That’s when I found Hannah. A Beta who took in injured or abused Omegas. She had found Cas after two days of him abandoned in a ditch. She had managed to nurse him back to health… At least as much as she could.” He explained. “She took me to him… but…” He had to pause, fighting back tears as he shook his head. “It was bad Dean…” He admitted, glancing up at the Alpha and using his actual name for the first time. “I’ve never seen someone like that…” He sighed before continuing. “Hannah let us stay with her for a few months… I had to practically force Cas to eat and when he did he usually threw it all back up… There were a few suicide attempts as well but he was pretty weak physically so none of them actually worked, luckily.” He sighed. “Thats when Hannah suggested suppressants. She warned they could have some pretty bad side effects but they’d almost completely rid him of his heats and most would think him an Alpha. She said she didn’t recommend it to most because they could usually recover but Cas… Well… It was bad and thats putting it lightly.” He sighed. “So we started him on a regiment and things turned around pretty quickly… Soon enough we ended up here and Cas became a knight in your father’s army and I became his Omega… He… hasn’t had a heat since.” He finished, falling silent, gaze a bit glazed at the memories, lost in his own head.
Dean sighed and looked down at his lap. What has he done? He’d forced Cas into being off the suppressants, into having a heat. “I’m sorry.” Dean whispered after a long time. “I can’t change the past, and I know whatever I say about it will never be good enough.” He whispered. “I’m sorry I made him come off the suppressants. I should be making him go through his heat.” He kept his gaze low, not wanting to show how upset he was with himself to Gabriel. “I- is there any chance of him... regressing into the state of mind?” He asked softly. “Is there anything I can do to help him? Or would it be best if I... keep my distance?” He asked, finally looking up at Gabriel. “What I did was wrong, but... is there a way I can fix it?”
Gabriel gave a snort at the questions, shaking his head. “I don’t know.” He shrugged honestly. “I’ve looked for others who have gone through that sort of thing but… Well.. it’s a toss up… Some regress some don’t but… none of them are like Cas... None of them have done the things he has.” He offered, obviously extremely proud of his brother. “Helping him… I doubt it… I’ve been trying for years and get shut down faster than I can blink… As for keeping your distance… It’s too late for that. The damage is done. You back off now and you’re going to hurt him worse than if you didn’t… and I won’t hesitate to kill you, King or not.” Gabriel warned, giving him an even look. “There’s no ‘fixing’ anything… No fixing Cas, no fixing what you did… There’s only working with what you have now to try and make life less shitty.”
Dean nodded. “I don’t want to hurt him.” He said softly. “I just want to try and make his life... less shitty, as you say. We just need to let him know we’re there for him, so if he needs us, we’re there to help.” Dean said softly. “I know you don’t like me or trust me, but wouldn’t you prefer him to turn to an Alpha like me who he knows, than an old Alpha he doesn’t know.” Dean said softly. “We can try to help him not to regress, but we need to at least work together to be there for him.”
Gabriel arched a brow at that. “/We/ don’t need to let him know anything.” He pointed out. “He knows I’m here for him, leans on me to help when he needs it, knows I’m there for him because I have been his whole life.” He pointed out. “I’d prefer him to do what he’s comfortable with, which /was/ not turning to an Alpha at all, outside of his work.” He added, obviously blaming Dean for all the trouble. “As for the regression…” He hesitated. “I’m not opposed to working with you as long as Cas wants to put up with you.” He mumbled begrudgingly. “I never said I didn’t like you… but you’re right, I don’t trust you as far as I can through you and I’m a lot weaker than I look.” He huffed. “I’d do anything for Cas though…I owe him that and so much more.”
“As far as I’ve heard Gabriel, you don’t owe Cas anything. You’ve been helping him for years. With injuries or his... mini heats. You’ve protected him just as much as he’s protected you.” Dean said softly. “We can talk about it more once Cas’ heats finished and he... doesn’t /need/ me any longer. But until then, we should keep a close eye on him, is there anything I should be looking for, to see if he is starting to regress?” Dean asked softly. “I’m with him most of the day, I can look for signs.” He offered. “You can see I’m helping with his wounds, allow me to help with this.l
“I dunno.” Gabriel admitted with a shrug. “From what I understand there isn’t any sure signs of regression to look out for… I think everyone might be different and Cas… he’s definitely unique.” He sighed in defeat. “I would just keep an eye out for any odd behaviors.” He offered. “Aside from that I’m at as much of a loss as you are.”
Dean nodded. “If I see any odd behaviours I’ll make sure I call for you and tell you as soon as possible.” He promised. “Should we tell him about the regression possibilities? I don’t want to add to worries. But he does have a right to know, he could look out for it in himself.” Dean said softly. “We’ll help Cas, and if that means stepping away from him, I will.”
Gabriel considered it a moment. “I don’t think thats a good idea. Cas is… well he’s very prideful.” Gabriel sighed. “I’m sure if we brought it up his reaction would be pretty fierce.” He admitted. “Maybe it’s best we don’t let him know we talked about his at all?” He offered. “The last thing I need his him mad at me again.”
Dean nodded, “of course Gabriel. Whatever you believe is best for him. You know him better than I.” He said softly. “I trust your opinion on what would be best for him.”
Gabriel arched a brow in surprise at that. “Wow… You’ve change a bit since I met you in the barracks.” He mused. “No threats or anything.” He teased.
“I’m just trying to be a better Alpha.” Dean said softly. “Stop using my power and position to get what I want. I want to be a good, fair King, and that starts with being good and fair to the people around me.” Dean explained.
Gabriel eyed him suspiciously for a moment before he seemed he was about to say something in return. “Dean?” Cas’ groggy voice came from where he stood, blanket wrapped around him, gaze still half closed with sleep. “Where did you-” Cas began to ask before his eyes caught on the other Omega. “Oh… Hi Gabriel.” He mumbled. “Is it time for breakfast already?” He hummed, obviously still out of it as he leaned on the door frame. “Hey Cassie.” Gabe greeted with a soft smile, suspicion fading from his features quickly at the sight of his brother. “Yeah… You hungry?” “Mmm… Maybe after drills.” Cas replied, making Gabriel’s smile fade with worry. The Omega obviously was out of it enough to forget he wasn’t in command of his soldiers anymore. “You should get him back to bed.” Gabriel mumbled toward the King as he collected the dishes from dinner the night before.
Dean nodded and held his hand out to Gabriel. “Thank you for speaking with me.” He said softly. “Cas, why don’t we take another five minutes in bed? Drills can wait for the moment.” He smiled at the Omega. “We need to change your bandages first though, before you start trying to drill others.” He said softly.
Gabriel nodded, shaking the Alpha’s hand before heading out. Cas gave a disappointed hum at Dean’s words until he drew close and the Omega returned the smile, a hand going to rest on Dean’s chest. “How about I drill you instead?” He teased, softly, leaning against him with a yawn. “So gross…” Gabriel grumbled under his voice before shutting the door behind him.
“After we have break and a bathe.” Dean said softly, leading Cas into the bedroom. “Shall we have a bath, and we can eat breakfast in there.” He offered, kissing Cas softly.
Cas gave a small yawn. “I rather go back to sleep.” He admitted softly, looking about as tired as he felt.
Dean frowned. “You’ve been asleep all night. We need to change your bandages.” He said softly. “Let’s have a bath together then we can go back asleep. How are you feeling in your heat?” Dean asked softly.
Cas gave a small shrug before hissing a breath at the pain it caused. “Fine.” He mumbled softly, hand going to his shoulder. He was healing quickly enough that he occasionally forgot about the wound but it was still there, reminding him when need be. “Another wave hasn’t hit yet.” He offered, turning to head towards the bathroom.
Dean nodded softly. “Do you know where you are, Cas? Do you know what job you have?” He asked as he led Cas into the bathroom.
Cas scoffed at that, such a stupid question. "I am Knight Com-" He blinked and frowned, disappointment suddenly strong in his scent. "Right... sorry. Yes... Royal Aide." He nodded. "Still waking up a bit... sorry."He offered with what he hoped was a reassuring smile.
Dean frowned but gave Cas a kiss on his forehead. “It’s okay, it’s probably just your heat.” He said softly, trying to sound convincing. He started to run the bath before wrapping his arms back around Cas. “What can you remember from last night?”
“Everything, I think.” He replied, leaning into the touch. “The wave… your office… then…” He flushed a bit. “How are you feeling? Are you sore? Was I too rough?” He asked, pulling back to study him, brows furrowed in worry.
“No no I’m fine. It was great.” Dean said softly. “Did you like it? You almost seemed overwhelmed.”
“It was… a lot.” He acknowledged. “But yes. It was incredible I never… I never realized sex could feel that way.” He admitted, flushing deeply with embarrassment.
Dean smiled “it was incredible.” He turned off the bath and held his hand to help Cas in. “If you climb in, I’ll take off your bandages and let your wounds soak.” He said softly. “How are you feeling today?”
Cas nodded moving to sink into the warm water with a pleased sigh, head falling back against the rim. “Fine.” He replied. “Should still hurts when I move it, but the other wounds have stopped aching quite so badly.” He offered, glancing at the Alpha. “I’m just tired. I feel like I’m more tired now that I’ve gotten a bit of sleep then I was before.” He shifted to allow his arms to sink into the water. “What about you? Have you slept?”
“I slept all night.” Dean nodded as he started to take off Cas’ bandages. “I’ll go fetch our breakfast will you get warm in there.” He hummed. “You’re probably tired because it’s all catching up on you. You can sleep more once we’re out of the bath.” He promised.
Cas gave a hum, nodding along with the words as Dean worked, letting his eyes close once more. “Not really hungry.” He admitted softly, with another yawn.
“Come on Cas, just eat something for me and Gabriel.” Dean said softly. “I know you’re tired but you still need to eat something.”
The Omega gave a huff but nodded. “Fine.” He grumbled before pausing. “Is that why he was here? To check up on me?” He asked curiously, obviously concerned that he was worrying his brother.
“No no, he was bringing us breakfast.” Dean said softly. He kissed Cas’ cheek before going to fetch their tray of breakfast. He brought it back into the bathroom and sat it on the side.
“Dean…” Cas sighed as he watched the Alpha move about, trying to care for him. “You don’t have to wait on me hand and foot, I’m sure I can manage.” He reassured.
“But what if I want to do this?” Dean asked softly. “I know you can manage, I don’t dispute that, but I want to help you Cas. Will you allow me?” Cas gave a small chuckle at that. "Spoiling me is not 'helping' me." He teased. "But I wont stop you I'd you enjoy it." “I definitely enjoy it.” Dean smiled. “Do you want some fruit or pastry?” He asked softly, before putting a strawberry in his mouth. "Fruit." Cas nodded, shifting to hold out his hand for one. "Are you going to join me in here?" He asked, leaning his chin on his arm, lazily. Dean hummed, “would you like me to join you in the bath?” He asked, placing a strawberry in Cas’ hand. "Only if you want to." Castiel offered with a small smile as he popped the berry into his mouth. Dean chuckled. “I would never pass up the opportunity.” He said softly, taking off his clothes. He carefully climbed in behind Cas and held him close. “I love you.” He said softly. “And I know you don’t feel the same, but I just thought you should know.” He added on quickly. Cas smile faltered only briefly at the words before returning, his scent dripping with affection. "I know." He offered with a hum. "You reminded me quite a lot last night." He teased lightly. shifting to reach for the bowl of fruit and setting it in the water, watching it float between them with amusement. Dean chuckled. “That’s because you’re the first Omega I’ve been with that’s wanted to do something for me, rather than just take.” He said softly, taking another slice of fruit. “I’ve always seen sex as a... responsibility, not something you could enjoy. It’s always just been something I’ve provided rather than enjoyed, but you’re... making me think that sex can be... recreational.” He hummed. Cas scoffed at the idea, the sound a mix of amusement and disbelief. "I don't think you realize the irony of those words." He counted lightly picking a blueberry for himself and seeming to lose himself in his thoughts. “I know you don’t believe me Cas.” Dean said softly. “But the way I’ve always seen it, I’ve got the best medical team in the Kingdom, I know I am clean of diseases, so if an Omega is in heat and I help, then they’re being safe. And as you can see, there isn’t dozens of little Dean’s running around the Kingdom, so Omegas clearly trust me not to take advantage.” Dean explained. “How many other Alphas can you say will do that?” It took a moment for the Omega to realize the misunderstanding and gave a small chuckle. "Thats not what I meant, Cas." He mused lightly. "I understand all that. I meant the irony of who you're talking to." He explained before shaking his head, with another chuckle. "Never mind, don't worry about it. I told you I didn't want to use you Dean. I meant it." Dean nodded. “I know you don’t. I’ve just never met an Omega before whose wanted to... top whilst in heat. I don’t know whether it’s because you were on suppressants?” He asked softly. "Well, to be honest I hadn't planned on topping..." He admitted. "When I said I wanted to have my way with you, I still meant letting you top but when you mentioned it... I... Well I quite like the image of you lost in pleasure." He admitted, embarrassment ebbing from him. "I was /not/ disappointed." Dean blushed and nuzzled into Cas’ neck. “I’ve always wondered what it felt like to have someone inside you. You were the only person I trusted to ask of that.” He cupped some water in his hands and gently poured it over Cas’ good shoulder. “Can I ask something of you though?” He asked softly. "Of course, Dean." Cas offered as if the he were confused that the Alpha even bothered with asking. “When I go into my rut... could I ask you for the same level of help as I’m giving you?” Dean asked softly, “if not, then I’ll find an Omega in heat, and share my rut with them.” Jealousy suddenly flashed in Cas' scent before he could manage to reel it back in; though his expression was still soft as he offered another soft smile. "Of course, Dean. I would be happy to help. Besides, as far as we know we might be stuck together because of this whole thing with Azra'il anyways." He offered. "Going to another Omega could be... problematic." “As you keep reminding me Cas, I am the Slut King.” Dean said with a small smile. “It will not be unthinkable for me to continue in that vein even after I settle down.” He said softly. "Oh... Right." Cas mumbled, suddenly looking a bit disappointed, his scent overwhelmingly so. "My mistake." He offered. “That doesn’t mean I will.” Dean said softly, wrapping his arms around Cas’s chest and kissing him softly. “If you don’t want me to, I won’t.”
Cas nodded along with the words though his scent was almost hurt... "No..  no... it's fine Dean... whatever youd like." He reassured.
“It’s fine though is it?” Dean asked softly. “I can smell that it’s not alright.” He splayed his fingers over Cas’ heart feeling it beet. “I what to stay monogamous, to you.”
"Dean..." cas sighed, sounding exasperated but smelling a bit hopeful. "I'm not asking for that. I'm not even asking for a relationship. I'm just your Royal Aide... you dont have to reassure me. Its fine. It's your life."
“I hear you Cas, I honestly do. But I can also smell you.” Dean said softly, “at the moment we have to pretend to be together, and as such, I’m going to stay monogamous to you.” He explained.
The hurt returned and Cas nodded. Right... they had to pretend... Cas was the one who had decided that... this was his doing. "Right.  Yeah... sounds good." He reassured before shifting. "I think... I think I'm done now." He offered, moving to try and get out.
Dean nodded, “you’ve not had much breakfast.” He said softly, as he moved the bowl of fruit back onto the side. He held Cas’ hips as he helped him to stand and climb out of the water.
Cas waved him off as he collected s towel to dry off with. "Like I said. I'm not really that hungry." He reminded softly
“I know Cas, but it’s just that you’re in heat. You need to keep your energy up.” Dean said softly. He climbed out of the bath and dried himself off with a towel.
Cas sighed before collecting a pastry and biting into it to satisfy the other man. Already heading into the bedroom, not bothering to dress.
Dean sighed and grabbed their clothes and the tray of breakfast before following Cas into the bedroom. “Cas, you know I’m only trying to help.” He said softly.
“I know, Dean.” He reassured. “And I appreciate it.” He added, meaning every word. He was simply starting to become confused on where he stood with the Alpha… and where he /wanted/ to stand. It was all a bit overwhelming.
Dean hummed softly, he laid down in bed and held his arms open, “come here Cas. Tell me what’s on your mind.” He said softly. “I can see you’re thinking.”
Cas glanced at him, obviously hesitating a bit. “I rather not.” He admitted softly but moved to lay in his arms with a contented sigh. “There are certain things I will need to figure out on my own, unfortunately.”
Dean hummed, “well I’m here for when you need to speak.” He said softly. “I’ll always be here for you to vent to.” He linked their fingers under the blankets, holding Cas close. “Your  brother is always happy to listen and talk with you.”
“I know, Dean.” He reassured, giving a yawn as he snuggled closer for warmth.
Dean smiled and held Cas close. “Go to sleep Cas. I’ll get up in a little bit and continue my work.” He said softly.
Cas nodded, closing his eyes as he got comfortable. “Thanks Dean…” He mumbled softly, breathing in his scent deeply.
Dean hummed and scented Cas softly. “Dream of something nice.” He whispered, kissing Cas’ cheek.
Cas hummed softly at the words already starting to drift off. “Sorry… I shouldn’t keep you from your work.” He slurred softly.
“But I want to be here rather than work. I prefer you.” Dean said softly, holding Cas closer.
“Mm… prefer you too.” Cas managed softly before he began to snore lightly .
Dean chuckled. He stayed were he was in bed, Cas in his arms, for about an hour. After an hour, he gently got up and dressed, going into his office, keeping the door open.
Cas shifted, mumbling under his breath as Dean moved, shifting to curl the blanket closer around them.
Dean kissed Cas’ head and scented him heavily before leaving to continue his work.
Cas seemed to relax as Dean rubbed his scent on the man. The action would no doubt allow Cas a few more hours of sleep.
Dean worked on his appointing of new Aides as he kept one eye on Cas, smelling his scent occasionally to make sure he was happy.
Cas seemed perfectly content for the most part with the occasional spike of this or that.
Dean sighed and went into the bedroom after a long while, sitting on the bed. “Cas,” he cooed softly. “Cas, love, how are you feeling?”
Cas hummed, brows furrowing before cracking his eyes open. “Dean?” He mumbled softly. “Warm.” He admitted, his fever having spiked while he slept. .
Dean frowned and gently pulled the blankets off Cas. “It’s okay. Why don’t you sit up, and we can have a drink of water?” He offered as he poured a glass of water out for Cas.
Cas didnt protest, shifting to sit up silently and starting to shiver a bit as the cool air hit him. He accepted the glass, taking a small silver before offering it back.
Dean sighed. “Cas... I...” he bit his lip and started again. “Are you okay? You’re not eating or drinking, you’re shivering in a room that isn’t that cold. Should we bring in Gabriel to give you a check over?” He asked softly.
Cas shook his head, the action measured as to not make him dizzy. “I’m sure I’m fine Dean…” He offered though the words were still a bit slurred. “I’m sure its just the heat… No reason to worr…” He paused, almost falling over. “Worry him.” He managed as he caught himself.
Dean frowned and held Cas close. “Come here. I know you want to always be strong, but sometimes you have to let people help.” He said softly. He kissed Cas’ cheek softly. “Let me go fetch Gabriel. He wants to help and so do I.”
“Its not about help…” Cas protested, trying to worm his way out of Dean’s arms, but was far to weak to manage it. “Don’t want to worry him…” He huffed giving up. “Just tired.” He repeated, nuzzling closer to obviously try and get some more sleep.
Dean sighed, and pulled away slightly so Cas couldn’t get comfortable. “I need you to stay awake, baby. Just until Gabriel comes and speaks with you.” He said softly, climbing out of bed and going to the guards outside to go fetch Gabriel. Cas nodded before Dean pulled away and he curled up on the bed already starting to fall asleep once more. Dean sat back down on the edge of the bed. “Come on Cas. Stay awake for me please. It’s not like you to be this sleepy. Where are those drills you were going to get me doing?” He asked. "In the morning Gabriel. Drills are in the morning." He huffed, pulling thr pillows over his face. “Come on Cassie.” Dean said softly. “Look at me, do you know who I am?” Dean asked as he tugged on the pillow lightly. Cas grunted before tugging the pillow back and rolling up tighten in the blankets. Dean sighed and kissed his temple. A moment later, there was a knock at the door. Dean went to answer it and allowed Gabriel inside. “He’s getting worse.” He whispered as he allowed Gabriel in. “He’s just called me your name. He’s been asleep most of the day, only awake for a bathe. I can’t get him to eat or drink anything.” Dean whispered, chewing his bottom lip softly.
Gabriel brushed past him with barely a word, hurrying to his brother’s side. “It could just be exhaustion.” He reassured before sinking down onto the bed. He pulled the pillow back, earning a growl from the Omega but took no mind. He placed a hand on his forehead and frowned. “He’s burning up… A lot worse than if it were just his heat.” He mumbled before tugging down the blankets to look at the wound on his shoulder. “The infection is getting worse.” He commented with a huff.
“I’ve been cleaning it regularly. We’ve bathed it this morning.” Dean frowned. “Is there anything you want me to do?” He asked. “Do you want me to run him a bath?” He offered.
“Sometimes no matter how much we do it gets worse, Dean. Its not your fault.” He reassured. “You said you have doctors?” He asked. “You should probably call for them.”
Dean nodded and rested a hand on Gabriel’s shoulder. He went to his guards and ordered for them to bring the Royal Omega Doctor immediately. “He will be okay though, won’t he?” Dean asked softly.
“I’d tell you he’d be fine but we both know I’d be lying.” Gabriel sighed, wrapping his brother up a bit tighter. “Honestly… I don’t know. Infections can be tricky. I’ve done all I know how to do. It usually works… I’ve been tending to Cas almost his whole life… This isn’t the worse he’s ever gotten.” He mumbled, obviously rambling with worry. “But… We both know he’s a fighter. I doubt this does him in.”
Dean nodded, his hand on Gabriel’s shoulder. “Before he curled up like this... he told me not to get you. He said softly. “He said that I shouldn’t make you worry. Even when he’s ill and delirious, he’s caring for you Gabriel. I’ve never seen anyone care for someone as much as he cares for you.” He whispered.
Gabriels scent spiked with annoyance. “Of course he did.” He grumbled before pushing to his feet. “The man’s a moron.” He huffed moving to dampen a rag and returning to place it on his forehead. “Always has been.”
“He loves you Gabriel. You’re his everything.” Dean said softly. “Don’t be annoyed at him, he’s just trying to protect you.” He said gently.
Gabriel shoot the Alpha a glare. “See! Thats the problem! Thats what he ALWAYS does! He tries to protect /me/, He tries to protect the /Kingdom/ and he tries to protect /you/! Thats what got him in this position in the first place! He took a fucking arrow trying to protect someone! I guarantee he didn’t even see you as King in that moment… He would have done the same for anyone… even some street urchin he didn’t know from John.” He scoffed. “He’s an idiot, trying to save the world and is going to kill himself in the process.”
Dean frowned, that wasn’t the reaction he expected from the Omega. “That’s why he has you. To patch him up. And that’s what I want to do. I want to protect him. I want to protect everyone is this Kingdom, and I need someone as wise as Cas to help me. Not fighting on the front lines but working out strategy and how to win and when to push.” Dean said softly.
Gabriel shook his head, pushing to his feet in aggrivation and starting to pace as they waited for the Doctor. “That’s just it isn’t it?! I’m always there to patch him up and he always gets hurt worse the next time! I’m not going to be here forever, and he doesn’t stop to think about that, does he? Or the fact that one day I’ll have to watch him die from his own stupidity! Sure, he’s selfless.” Gabriel shrugged. “But that also makes the moron more selfish then you could possibly realize. And I’m.. what?... Suppose to just accept that?” He growled, wrapping his arms around himself.
Dean frowned and poured a fresh glass of water for Gabriel. “Drink this Gabriel. And then go grab something to eat, get some fresh air. He won’t die on us, he won’t die on you. He’ll always be around to moronically protect us all.”
Gabriel paused, staring at the glass of water as if it were going to jump at him before he relaxed a small huff of amusement, escaping him. “I’d rather stay.” He mumbled, pushing away the offered glass gently. “Thanks though… Not really use to having someone with me when he does this crap.” He admitted. “He might not die this time… but what about next?” He sighed, sinking down into one of the chairs.
“I know Gabriel. But he’s got a 100% running rate of pulling through. He won’t die just to spite everyone around him and God himself.” Dean chuckled. There was a knock at the door and Dean opened it, dagger in had. “Come on in Doctor Shepard, it’s great for you to come so quickly.”
“Of course, Your Majesty.” The Doctor replied with a shallow bow before moving towards Cas. “I assume this is the Omega in question?” He asked already setting his bag down next to the bed. Gabriel didn’t give Dean a chance to answer as he moved to the opposite side of the bed. “Yes.” He rushed. “He has a number of lacerations but the wound in his shoulder is the worse. It became infected about 48 hours ago. We’ve been applying anti inflammatory salve on a regular basis but its persistent.” The doctor eyed the elder brother evenly, obviously not really accepting his words as he pulled the blankets down to reveal the angry red wound. “And you tried to sweat out the fever?” He asked, though it was more of a statement, making Gabriel just give a nod as the Doctor began his own examination.
“He’s been asleep for most of the day.” Dean explained, “he’s not really drank anything, nor has he eaten much. He should be in the middle of his heat, but no wave has come today.” He added, “you can trust Gabriel’s assessment of Aide Novak’s injuries, he tended to Novak before.”
“Ah… So, this is the ex-Knight Commander and you must be his brother.” The Doctor nodded but said no more on the subject. “The heat is most likely being suppressed by the infection’s fever.” He advised. “There will no doubt be a wave coming.” He reassured, inspecting the rest of the man’s body before pulling the blanket around him once more. “Though it might be best to keep his movements to a minimum. He needs rest, a lot of it. He also needs water, He will most likely protest but if you can get him to drink it will help. As for food… For now, broth will be your best option. I can send some herbs to kitchen.” He paused. “From what I’ve heard, you are currently assigned there?” The Doctor asked Gabriel who simply nodded. “I can show you how to prepare them. The tea will be bitter but it will help. Add it to his broth as well. It won’t be the very palatable but it is necessary.” He reassured before glancing at Dean. “The infection has had time to settle. His fever should get worse before it gets better. I would warn against bedding in general if he weren’t already in heat. At this point it might do more damage than good. Just keep… activities as gentle as possible while satisfying his impulses.” He advised. “The high temperature can cause delusional tendencies, I advise you to go along with them, to avoid any unnecessary stress on the Omega. I’m afraid, beyond that and attempting to keep him hydrated, there is not much more I can do, Your Majesty.” He admitted.
Dean nodded. “That’s fine. Can you do a general checkup on him as well whilst you’re here. I’m sure you know he’s been on suppressants, we don’t want him to have any detrimental side effects especially whilst he’s got an infection and in heat.” Dean explained.
“Of course, Your Grace.” Shepard nodded, turning back to the Omega. His hands went to the man’s neck, pressing here and there before moving lower, pressing at his abdomen carefully, avoiding his wounds. He opened the man’s mouth, before checking his eyes. It was a few moments before he spoke again. “Well, I will admit, there are a few worrisome areas.” He sighed. “He seems to have damaged a few of his reproduction organs, though I can’t be sure how much or if they are simply under developed until I can get him to my office.” He admitted. “It could be nothing but it is something to be aware of. He also has some older scars that I would like to ask about.” He added. “Other than that he is as healthy as an Omega… More so even… Though thats probably due to living a soldier’s life.” He shrugged as he stood. “When he’s feeling better, and after his heat has subsided, perhaps you could convince him to pay me a visit?” He asked the King.
Dean nodded. “We’ll try our best. Even if I have to carry him.” He chuckled softly. “As for the scars, Gabriel is the best person to speak to about those.”
Shepard nodded as he glanced at the elder Novak. “Very well.” He acknowledged. “Would you mind walking with me, Novak?” He asked motioning for the door. “We can discussing a few things before I show you how to prep the herbs.” He offered earning an eager nod from Gabriel who pushed to his feet and hurried after him.
Dean smiled softly as he watched Gabriel go with Doctor Shepard. He sighed as he sat beside Cas on the bed and stroked his hair softly. “I love you.”
Cas leaned into the touch with a soft hum, obviously breathing in the man’s scent deeply and visibly relaxing. Dean scented Cas softly. “I’m so sorry. You shouldn’t have taken the arrow for me.”
The Omega gave no indication that he heard the words, though he reacted to the scenting by curling towards the Alpha, and giving something akin to both a whine and a sigh; obviously taking comfort in the action.
“It’s okay, Cas. We’ll both be okay, I promise.” Dean said softly. “You’re so brave.”
There was no response as Cas continued to sleep in his fevered state, pressing a far too warm cheek against the other man’s arm.
Dean sighed and stroked Cas’ hair softly.
It was only about an hour before Gabriel returned with a small pot of tea. He helped Dean coax the sleeping man to drink a small cup before giving a small break and attempting again. When the Omega had finished off about two cups Gabriel left him to sleep, urging Dean to get some work done. It wasn’t until just before lunch that Cas began to stir, sitting up slowly and glancing about the room. “Dean?” He mumbled softly, obviously still groggy.
Dean was in his office, his door open to listen for and see Cas. He continued to work, waiting to hear Cas call him or to see him coming out of the room.
When the Alpha didn’t suddenly appear Cas moved to swing his legs over the side of the bed and attempted to stand. He wavered a moment before falling back onto the edge of the bed. He gave a frustrated huff before trying again, this time managing it and taking a few shaky steps towards the office, where he assumed the Alpha was.
Dean saw Cas moving slowly and shot up. “You should be in bed Cas.” He frowned, wrapping an arm around his waist and taking most of the Omega’s weight. “Let’s get you back in there, and we can talk about what you want.” He offered.
For once, the Omega didn’t protest as he was pulled into the man’s arms for support. “M’fine.” He reassured though he leaned heavily on the Alpha, scenting /him/ this time. “Missed you.”
“I missed you too.” Dean chuckled. “Stop scenting me Cas. I don’t need it and you need your energy more.” He said softly. “We’re got some of that delicious tea I know you love.” . Cas gave a small grunt in response, but didn’t comply. He did pause, however, glancing about the room for a moment. “Did… Did I hear Gabriel here earlier?” He mumbled curiously.
“Hmm.” Cas responded as if considering the words before immediately dismissing them. “Come to bed, Dean.” He practically purred, tugging at him weakly, towards the large four poster. “Its cold without you.”
Dean chuckled. “You’ve been burning up for the last few days. We can get you warm when you have a drink.” He said softly, picking up the cup of tea and holding it out to Cas.
Cas stared out it with an annoyed huff before pressing closer so that he was still leaning against the Alpha, accepting the cup and giving a small sip before his features turned to disgust. “Ugh… Thats really really bad.”
“I know Cas. But it will make your infection go away.” Dean said softly. “If you drink up, I’ll make you nice and happy.”
The Omega only hesitated briefly before giving a sly smile and leaned in close to press a small kiss to Dean’s lips. “Promise, Alpha?” He purred softly.
“I promise, cheeky. Now drink up, before I revoke my promise.” Dean winked, as he held Cas close. He kissed Cas’s hair and murmured into it, “I love you.”
Cas had spent enough time with his men to know how to down something as disgusting as the tea… though it tended to be liquor and not herbs. So, he lifted the small cup to his lips and tossed it back, downing the liquid in just a few gulps before handing back the empty cup and giving a small cough. “That… was disgusting.” He huffed with displeasure.
“I know.” Dean hummed. “I had to have a sip the other day to get you to drink it. Now lay in bed, and let me make you feel good.”
“You did?” Cas asked, brows furrowing, obviously confused. The sensation was forgotten, however, as Dean lead him towards the bed earning a pleased hum as Cas pressed closer instead of doing as he was told; the current wave of his heat obviously about to set in.
“Lay down Cas. You need to not move, it will hurt your infection more if you move.” Dean said softly. He kissed Cas softly, pushing him into the pillow.
Cas allowed himself to be coaxed downwards as he returned the kiss a bit hungrily.
Dean pulled away and placed a finger on Cas’ lips. “Tell me what you want me to do.” He whispered.
The Omega’s breathing was already becoming a bit uneven with the Alpha so close to him. “Everything… Anything… Please, Alpha.” He pleaded.
“Cas,” Dean said softly. “I’m going to go slow and gentle and pull of love.” He explained, “I want you to feel good.”
Cas gave a frustrated huff as he lifted his hips to press against the Alpha. “I will feel good, Dean… I just need my Alpha.” He argued headily, using the possessive endearment for the first time.
“Your Alpha, huh?” Dean asked as he slowly undressed them both, pressing his bare skin against Cas’ bare skin, being careful of his wounds. “You think I belong to you?”
Embarrassment flooded the Omega’s scent, obviously worrying him as he moved to sit up. “Oh, No! I didn’t mean to imply…. I… Its just… You’re a King… You belong to no one… I…” He rushed, obviously panicking a bit.
“But I want to be yours.” Dean growled softly. “Let me show you how much I want it.” He growled as he rolled his bare hips against Cas’ thigh.
Cas cut himself off immediately at the man’s words; the flush of embarrassment still mixing with his fevered tone. The feel of Dean’s cock press against his thigh had the Omega unable to refrain from the small shiver that ran the length of his spine. “D-Dean…” He breathed almost in a moan as he leaned forward to kiss the man once more.
“Can I be your Alpha?” Dean asked. He shuffled his hips to one side and rolled his hips against the Omega’s cock. “I want to wake up with you in my arms everyday. I want to fall asleep with you by my side. I want to go out in public arm in arm.” He whispered.
“Ah…” Cas gasped arching into the touch in turn. He bit his bottom lip to try to refrain from moaning to no avail. “D-Dean please…. Just… I need you.” He groaned softly. He could already feel the sheets beneath him dampening once more as he sank back onto the desperate and needy.
Dean hummed and brought the blankets up around his shoulders before nuzzling his cock against Cas’ wet hole. “I love you.”
Cas shifted so that his legs fell open a bit wider, lifting his hips to rub against the Alpha’s cock in return, teasing it. He wrapped his good arm around the other man’s shoulders dragging him into another desperate kiss.
Dean kissed Cas back and gently pushed into him, immediately started to slowly rock his hips. “
Cas gasped as he was stretched lifting his back from the mattress with a relieved moan as his need subsided a bit. "Yes, Alpha! My Alpha!" He groaned nails digging into Dean's back as he arched. "More..." he encouraged softly.
Dean groaned and pushed down on Cas’ hips before settling into long, slow thrusts. “You’re so beautiful.”
He gave a small whine as he was pressed back into the mattress, obviously wanting to move. Still, he didnt fight Dean's hold as the Alpha kept his pace. Cas' breathing was still a low pant quickening slowly as he allowed his hands to slide against Dean's body, over his shoulders and across his chest affectionately. "So good Dean... please..." He gasped softly, legs locking around his waist.
Dean smiled and kissed Cas softly. “Just relax. I’ve got you.” He promised as he sped up slowly.
"Ah... ah..." Cas gasped softly as Dean began to pick up the pace, the new position allowing him to hit his prostate easily. "Oh, fuck Dean! Yes Alpha! My Alpha!"
Dean hummed as he aimed for Cas’ prostate. “Good boy, Omega. That’s it. You can come.”
Cas was practically a moaning whining mess  as Dean continued his rhythmic thrusts. The  Omega lifted his hands to cup his Alphas face as he kissed him again, this time a bit more slowly, far more affectionate than before.... He was so close. "Love you too Alpha..." He offered against the Mans lips. "Never felt like this..." He gasped softly as he grew closer to his climax.
“I love you too Omega.” Dean said softly. “I’ll make you feel this good all the time.” He promised. He thrusted hard into Cas, aiming straight for his prostate.
Cas' whole body shook at the final thrust, cumming hard between them as he clung to the other man desperately crying out his name as wave after wave of pleasure washed through him.
Dean moaned as Cas’ came between them. He pulled out quickly and came over the Omega, adding his own cries to Cas’. He laid down beside Cas, wrapping his arms around him tightly.
Cas allowed himself to be pulled into the embrace as he tried to catch his breath, burying his face in the other mans chest. Embarrassment and fear filling his scent as hs realized what he had said to the Alpha.
Dean hummed and kissed Cas’ hair softly. “What you said, do you want me to forget about it?” He asked softly. “I can pretend you never said it if you’d prefer.”
For a moment it seemed as if Cas wouldnt reply but slowly, as he seemed to relax a bit into Dean's hold he sighed. "No." He mumbled softly. He had meant the words... He simply didnt want to admit them.
“Really?” Dean asked softly, he tilted Cas’ chin up and kissed him slowly. “I love you.” He whispered.
Cas flushed, the embarrassment intensifying. "I love you too." He grumble softly, glancing away.
Dean chuckled and kissed his hair again. “Is this just you’re heat speaking?” He asked softly.
Cas tensed at the question, fear spiking. "I..." He began to argue before hesitating. "I dont know." He answered honestly. "I dont think so." He admitted his gaze glued to where his hands were pressed against Dean's chest.
“Cas it’s okay.” Dean said gently. “I just want to know where we both stand.” He explained, stroking Cas’ hair.
"I know, Dean." He reassured. "But I'm not sure if it's the heat. I dont think it is, but I've never had a heat like this." He explained, still not looking him in the eye.
Dean slowly linked their fingers together, over his chest. “I can wait. I can wait for you to think it through.” He said softly. “I don’t want to rush you.”
Cas seemed to relax even more at the words pressing closer once more. "Thank you." He whispered softly, snuggling close.
Dean smiled softly and held Cas close. “We should tell Gabriel you’re awake. He’ll want to speak with you.” He said softly.
Cas gave a small hum at that. "Can it wait?" He mumbled softly. "If I've been out as long as you say I rather not listen to the lecture he will no doubt have prepared."
“Of course. I think I got the most of it.” Dean smiled. “Do you need anything? Food? A nicer drink?”
"A nicer drink would be appreciated but it can wait. I'm good with just laying here with you." He offered.
Dean smiled softly, “I like laying here with you too.” He drew soft circles into Cas’ shoulder blades. “How does your shoulder feel?”
Cas moved it a bit as if testing it. "Still hurts a little but not as much as it was." He admitted. The would was still red and obviously infected but not quite as angry as when Cas' fever had started.
Dean nodded and held Cas close. “I’ll change your bandages in a bit, when you’re feeling a bit warmer.”
Cas gave a small snort of amusement at the words. "I was never really cold." He admitted softly. "I just wanted you."
Dean hummed softly. “You’re fever was through the roof. Even when I was beside you.” He said softly. “Shall I change your bandages and then you can go back to sleep if you wish?”
Cas' brows furrowed at the words, obviously becoming a bit distressed. "I didnt mean to worry anyone. I'm sure it would have gone away on it's own. " He reassured softly.
“Hey, we care about you Cas. You had an infection, even if it was a little infection we would have worried because we care.” Dean said softly, scenting the Omega softly.
Cas hummed in Approval as Dean scented him. "Doesnt mean I have to like it." He countered, pushing closer. "Though there are a few thing I can think of that I /would/ like." He teased lightly.
Dean smirked and kissed Cas softly. “What /would/ you like?” He asked, rubbing Cas’ shoulder softly.
"I want you to fuck me until I have trouble standing, then carry me to the bath and bathe with me." He admitted with a sly grin. It seemed that just the short time the two had spent together had caused him to come out of his shell a bit. In fact, the shy embarrassed Omega that reluctantly shared his heat was no where to be seen at the moment.
“Is that true?” Dean asked, walking his fingers up Cas’ chest. “Where is the Omega who didn’t want to share his heat, because he thought he could handle it?”
Cas shot him an even look before seeming to pout. At least as close to a pout as he could manage. "Are you denying your Omega, Alpha? While hes in heat? How could you be so cruel?"
“I’m never going to deny you, Cas.” Dean smiled. “I just want to know where my shy, reserved Omega who doesn’t like me got to.”
Cas arched a brow at that. "Would you prefer I go back to hating you?" He teased lightly.
“Do I want someone I love you hate me? Hm let me get back to you on that.” Dean smiled as he kissed Cas softly.
Cas hummed into the kiss, nipping at the Alpha's bottom lip playfully. "I think you get off on it. Why else would you have wanted me so badly?" He countered, hands moving down the other mans chest
“Because you’re beautiful, and sexy, and so so clever.” Dean smiled as he cupped Cas’ cheek, his thumb rubbing softly over his cheekbone.
"No I'm pretty sure it's the hatred thing." He countered, voice dripping with amusement.
“Of course, that’s my mistake.” Dean chuckled.
Cas pressed closer to the Alpha. "So...?" He asked softly. "Sex, bath, bandage?" He asked. "Or are you going to make me beg? Just a heads up... I don't beg..." He paused before shrugging. "Often."
Dean hummed. “You’ve begged plenty of times to me.” He smirked rolling them both over, so Cas was on his back and Dean was on top.
Cas gave a small grunt as they shifted positions, moving beneath him a bit so that his shoulder didnt ache too terribly. "Play your cards right and I might again."
Dean laughed and kissed Cas passionately, pinning his uninjured arm above his head.
Cas arched into the touch, rubbing his already hardening length against the Alpha. He returned the kiss without hesitation, humming at the familiar and comforting taste of his lips.
Dean hummed into the kiss his free hand coming up to cup Cas’ cheek. He gently tilted Cas’ chin up, biting at his neck softly.
A soft studdering sigh escaped the Omega at the feel of Dean’s mouth on him, causing goosebumps to drift across his skin. ‘Dean…” He whined softly, rutting against him again.
“Is that a beg?” He asked. Dean wrapped his lips around Cas’ good collar bone and sucked it softly.
Cas began to chuckle, the sound cutting off as Dean began to suck a mark into his skin, turning it into a moan. "N-not a chance." He managed breathlessly.
Dean smirked and bit gently, leaving a bruise on his collar bone. “I will get you to beg.0
“Mm… Is that so?” Cas mused with a hum, allowing his hands to slide lower until the were curling around Dean’s length. “And if you beg first?”
Dean hummed, he went down Cas’ body, licking and nipping at the Omega’s nipple. ] Cas gave another small hum, shifting beneath the Alpha's large body. "Is that all you've got, Alpha? I thought you knew how to please an Omega."
“Baby, I’ve only just got started.” Dean hummed as he moved down Cas’ body, kissing and licking his skin. As he got to Cas’ naval he stopped and pushed his tongue into it, moaning loudly.
The shiver that raked over Cas' body was strong enough to leave him gasp at the strange sensation. He would have argued that it wasnt exactly pleasant but the slick that suddenly began to pool beneath him would have called him on the fib. Then again it was probably more due to the sound of his Alpha's moans than the actual feel of his mouth.
Dean smiled as he moved lower biting the soft skin just beneath his naval. “Is someone wanting me?” He asked.
"As if you didnt know." Cas scoffed. "Of course I want you but I'm not begging... yet." He countered with amusement.
Dean chuckled. “I won’t let you come until you do beg.” He smirked, going lower and running his tongue and nose down the Omega’s shaft.
“Mm… Is that a promise or a threat?” Cas teased lightly, a hand moving to tangle in the Alpha’s hair. “It depends when you start to beg, little Omega.” Dean teased. He moved down lower, biting and sucking a large hicky into Cas’ inner thigh.
A whine escaped him before he could catch himself, lifting his hips a bit at the pleasure-pain. “Another.” He demanded a bit breathlessly one Dean pulled away.
Dean turned to the other leg, biting and sucking a larger hickey onto his inner thigh. “Was that a beg?”
His whine turned into a moan as he sucked another mark on him. There was something about the action that had Cas aching inside and out for his Alpha. “No…” He managed a bit breathlessly. “An order.” He offered playfully.
Dean smiled as he continued to mark his Omega. “No one else will touch you when they know you’re claimed like this.” He almost growled at the thought. “Everyone will know you’re mine.”
"Is that so, Alpha?" Cas purred, trying to hide the effect the sound of Dean's protective growl had on him. "You want me to be yours? Want the world to know I belong to you?"
Dean growled, “you’re mine, Omega. The entire world will know, you’re my Queen.” He tilted his head up and took Cas’ balls into his mouth.
Cas jerked slightly at the sudden sensation. Whatever retort he had in mind was suddenly forgotten... though he doubted it would be wise to anger the other man in their current position.
Dean moaned and rolled Cas’ balls around in his mouth, rubbing his tongue all over them.
The Omega's breathing became shallow and uneven as Dean Teased him. "Dean... it's not going to work." He managed in a breathless whine, losing the meaning of the words.
Dean hummed and pulled off Cas’ balls with a pop, letting them go cold in the air. “No, then what’s that whine?” He asked.
"F-fuck you." He stuttered unconvincingly, shifting his hips slightly as the cool air hit his damp skin.
Dean hummed, “do you /want/ me to fuck you?” He asked. “Nice and slow? You know what you have to do to get me to do that.”
"I could refuse you too, you know." He grumbled though he was obviously needy. "You wouldnt dare leave me in my heat..."
“Are you prepared to bet on that?” Dean asked, as he stood up out of bed to show Cas that he meant what he had said.
Cas offered an amused smile a hand sliding down his own chest to stroke himself slowly. "I'd say so."
Dean hummed and began to dress, hiding his erect from Cas’ movements. “All you have to do is beg, my Omega.”
"I'll pass." He huffed moved onto his stomach    and brought his knees up so that he was presenting to the Alpha. He didnt hesitate to reach between his legs however, and rub against his hole with a soft moaning gasp for the Alpha's benefit.
Dean hummed. “When you are ready to change your mind, I shall be in my office, working.” He smiled before kissing Cas’ forehead and heading into the office.
"Cant handle it? Coward." Cas accused playfully as He rutted against the sheets. "Cant even please his Omega properly."
Dean laughed out loud. “Do you want me to please you Cas? Because at the moment, you seem adamant not to like it.” He replied as he leaned in the doorway of the office. “Do you want me to please you?”
“I’m adamant not to beg, Alpha.” Cas corrected, shifting again to face him. “No… I want you to stay and watch me please myself until you can’t handle it anymore… Unless you feel like you’re not up for the challenge?”
