Pokemon swsh / Relationship head canons
Hop
♡ He had always been snug and lively when you were just friends, but when you both formed a romantic relationship, he’s come off as more shy because having a girlfriend is a completely new territory for him and he hasn’t quite got the hang of it yet.
♡ He constantly seeks reassurance, as he always wants you to feel comfortable. For example, he kept asking you if you were okay when he placed his hand on your waist for the first time.
♡ He absolutely loves cuddling. He adores it when you hold him in your arms after a rough day, bonus points if you gently massage his hair.
♡ He’s hopeless at cooking and always insists that he’s fine and doesn’t need any help. Though he’s so disastrous that you have to jump in and help or else he’ll burn the tent down.
♡ He always greets you with a massive hug. Every time he sees you, he immediately jumps and squeezes you against his chest. He also likes to surprise you with hugs from behind as he loves to conjure a surprised reaction from you; he thinks it’s adorable.
♡ It’s no secret that he’s super talkative, but he knows when he needs to quiet down and restrain himself after you’ve had a tough day. His tone of voice becomes really soothing as he comforts you and bombards you with soft forehead kisses.
Bede
♡ As with Hop, Bede is almost a stranger to romance or just affection in general. He gets startled when you try to hug him but becomes more content as you both spend more time together.
♡ For his idea of a date, he usually invites you for midnight walks. He enjoys the tranquility of Galar without the constant bustle of people around and seems to savour every moment of the sable atmosphere with you by his side.
♡ On one of these dates, he gently grabbed your hand and intertwined it with his; which greatly took you by surprise as this is something he wouldn’t usually do. He was looking away as he did this, but didn’t let go.
♡ He sometimes kisses you very suddenly and randomly, but quickly looks away because he doesn’t want you to see how flustered he is.
♡ He likes it when you kiss his neck, as he holds you closer and becomes more comfortable with his hand placements.
♡ He’ll never admit it, but he loves it when you become affectionate with him. These feelings are fairly new to him, but no matter how much he tries to suppress them, he has to come to terms with how much he absolutely loves you.
Raihan
♡ Raihan knows how to make a girl happy, and always plasters you with hugs and kisses; vice versa.
♡ He always seems very comfortable with you, even at the very start of your relationship.
♡ He’s very into pda and takes pride in holding your hand in public to show you off to the whole of Galar. He always seems to ‘show you off’ when you’re around other people.
♡ He loves posting pictures of you both on social media and makes cute captions such as “my girlfriend is so beautiful” or “how lucky am I to be blessed with such an amazing person?”.
♡ He always greets you with a kiss in the most dramatic way possible; he’ll place one hand on your cheek and the other one on your waist as he kisses you. The kiss will last for about 20 seconds, which still isn’t long enough for him.

Raihan x Reader: Caught You
A/N: This little piece was inspired by a cute little headcannon here. It was done by the amazing @la-vita. Hope you don’t mind me tagging you! I highly recommend checking out her awesome writing. Anyways, enjoy~
Tumblr media
You were well aware that the temperature around Hammerlocke could dip into the single digits early in the morning. You had dressed in warm clothes but even that wasn't enough to stop the chill from sinking its icy teeth into you. You still couldn't fathom how the cold was affecting you this much.
Your clothes did little to combat the early morning chill and you were starting to regret leaving your winter gloves at home. You shoved your hands in the pockets of your jacket as your teeth started to chatter. You bounced on the balls of your feet as you tried to spark warmth back into your body. Your muscles had already started to lock up from the cold and they ached in protest from your sudden movement.
You let out a loud sigh, the puff of air becoming visible when it made contact with the cold air.
"Seriously, what's taking Sonia and Leon so long?" you asked aloud.
You had already been waiting 15 minutes outside the local cafe and still there was no sign of them. You had planned to catch up with your old friends over a nice cup of hot coffee and a bite to eat. You didn't think you'd be waiting this long for them though. The person standing beside you suddenly cleared his throat, making you glance in his direction. Raihan rolled his shoulders in a small shrug.
"Maybe Leon decided to take the lead" he suggested.
Your brow furrowed as you scoffed at the idea. "I sure hope not. You know how awful Leon is with directions."
Raihan chuckled softly under his breath as he leaned his weight on one leg.
"Yeah, I know."
The dragon tamer stuffed his hands in the pockets of his hoodie as he cast his eyes skyward, watching the grey clouds above as they rolled by. You kept your eyes trained on your boyfriend as he huffed loudly, blowing cold air out through his mouth. How was Raihan not cold in those shorts? He hadn't bothered to change out of his regular attire to suit the weather and you briefly thought he was mad. Could he not feel the cold? You knew he was hot blooded but damn, this was next level. Unlike you, who felt like your blood was freezing in your veins. You were slightly jealous that the cold wasn't bothering him.
After another long moment of silence dragged on, you decided to fish for your phone. You pulled your Rotom phone out of your pocket, fingers twitching as you felt a small breeze brush past your body. You shivered lightly, your teeth sinking into your lips to contain your pathetic noises. You searched for Sonia's contact and started texting her, demanding to know where she was and complaining that you were freezing. You were well aware that you could have just waited inside for both of them to show up. But you were very reluctant to. One reason being that neither Sonia nor Leon had ever been to this café before. Another reason was Leon's terrible sense of direction. You didn't doubt that he would easily pass by this cafe without even a second glance. You really didn't want to miss this little get together you had set up so you would just have to put up with the cold.
You were lucky you had the auto correct feature turned on because you kept spelling everything wrong because of the damn chill nipping at your fingers. You really were starting to get sick of this weather.
Raihan started to notice that the cold was effecting you. What had drawn his attention was the way you tapped your heeled boot against the pavement in an annoying tempo. At first, he thought you were impatient and he really couldn't blame you. But you were both well aware that Leon tended to keep people waiting. On further observation the Dragon Gym Leader realised that the cold must have been bothering you. No matter how many times or how many layers you put on the cold just did not agree with you. He was about to tell you to go back inside and wait in the warmth of the cafe while he stayed out here, until a sudden idea sparked in his brain.
You were distracted by your phone and you didn't notice Raihan as he quietly slunk up behind you. He unzipped his jacket with a quick flick of his wrist before he suddenly grabbed your arm. You gasped sharply and your body tensed as you were yanked backwards, the sharp tug almost making you drop your phone. You immediately relaxed when you realised it was only Raihan who was manhandling you.
He pulled you closer to his body, his chest pressing firmly against your back. You opened your mouth, intent on asking him just what he was up to as he enveloped you in his jacket. The sound of the zipper being pulled up cut off the question on the tip of your tongue as he trapped you in his hoodie with him. Your head barely poked out the top of his jacket because Raihan was a giant compared to everyone else. But hey, at least you couldn’t feel the cold nipping at your ears anymore. You leaned back against him, tilting your head as you stared up at him. He flashed you a toothy grin, his blue eyes sparkling with a hint of mischief.
"Caught you~" he cooed.
You couldn't help the smile that tilted your lips. His jacket was very warm and cosy around you and you could feel the heat radiating off him in waves. You had only been in here with him for a few seconds but you could already feel your body starting to warm up.
"Thank you" you smiled.
You leaned up on the tips of your toes, lips pulled into a small pucker as you tried, and failed, to reach Raihan's face. It was highly amusing to him to watch you struggle to reach up for a kiss and the adorable pout on your face was almost too much for him to handle.
"Stay there, shortcake, I'll come to you" he grinned.
Your face scrunched up as you pulled a silly face at him for the fond nickname he gave you. Raihan leaned down and placed his lips against yours in a sloppy upside-down kiss. You didn't care how awkward the angle was you just wanted his mouth on yours. The kiss was chaste and Raihan pulled away much too soon for your liking. You didn't complain as he pulled away and straightened up, wrapping his arms around your waist to keep you secure against him.
You hummed lightly as you snuggled further into the warmth he provided. You didn’t really feel cold anymore as your boyfriend protected you with his ridiculously high body temperature. A true blessing in this cold weather. You felt your phone buzz and you brought it closer to your face, the device just barely peeking out over Raihan's jacket. Raihan leaned his chin against your head as he read the text that Sonia had just sent you.
"They're close" he said. "About time."
You hummed in agreement. "Yeah. But I'll tell them not to rush now."
Raihan chuckled softly, the vibrations dancing up your spine. You opened the camera on your phone, letting your Rotom phone flit about into the air. It did a quick loop in the air before pointing the camera towards you.
"Smile!"
Never one to miss a selfie with you Raihan grinned widely as you stuck up your fingers in a peace sign. Rotom snapped the photo before promptly dropping back into your hands. You huddled closer to your boyfriend as you searched for Sonia’s contact once more, even adding Leon into the conversation. Raihan's eyes flicked back down to the screen as he watched you send the recent photo to the chat. The text you sent with it made him chuckle.
"The dragon has caught me and is keeping me warm."

Chicken Noodle Soup & Movie Night (LeonxReader, RaihanxReader)
Leon:
“I’m not sick,” Leon mumbles, and his glassy eyes follow you as you move about the room. You don’t humor him with a response. “You don’t have to do all this.”
You only hum as you continue to bustle about. More tissues, more blankets, and you should probably check his temperature again soon, too. He’s taken his medicine (though you hid it in a snack like you have to do with your Pokemon), and you finally got him into bed after some coaxing. He’s propped up on three pillows, he lets out a hearty cough, full and phlegmy, and you return to his side once his fit is over. You gently sit on the covers, set your hand on his forehead, and purse your lips.
“Yep, still burning up,” you say, and Leon groans.
“I’m fine,” he croaks. “You’re making too big a deal about this.”
“Leon,” you say sternly as you go to find the thermometer. “You’re shaking with chills, burning up, and hacking up a lung every few minutes. You’d probably still be on the pitch if I wasn’t making a big deal about this.”
“Exactly,” Leon says in exasperation as he throws his arms up. The motion sets off another series of deep coughs. “I could be finishing my training! It’s just the sniffles, nothing more.”
“Alright,” you say, and you sit beside him again. “If you don’t have a fever, then you’re right and I’ll leave you alone. If you do have a fever, then you need to promise to cooperate. Deal?”
Leon’s glassy eyes squint, though the effect of his frustrated glare isn’t much when he sniffles through it. You raise an eyebrow.
“Fine,” he says, but he doesn’t look at you.
You offer him the thermometer, he childishly snatches it from your hand, then sticks it in his mouth. You adjust the quilt around his shoulders, fluff his pillows for him, and mindlessly brush his bangs from his face. His eyes widen at the motion, then his gaze flicks to the side again.
Hm, his cheeks are looking quite pink… he definitely has a fever.
The thermometer beeps, you pluck it from his mouth, and showcase that your prediction came true. You set the thermometer on his nightstand without a smug word spoken, but Leon can certainly read it on your face.
“Now that you’ll cooperate, do you want some orange juice?” you ask.
“No.”
“Some candy?”
“No.”
“How about some chicken noodle soup?”
Leon doesn’t immediately grumble anything, but instead fiddles with the stitching on the quilt.
“...with the spiral noodles?” Leon asks quietly.
“Mmhmm.”
Leon purses his lips (not for long since he can’t breathe through his nose), and he finally mumbles an:
“Okay.”
“I’ll go heat some up for you,” you say, and you give his hand a pat. He curls one of his fingers around yours, just to quickly retract his hand again. His cheeks are looking even pinker than before, now. Is he getting warm?
“Thank you,” he mumbles.
“Try to get some rest,” you hum, and after adjusting his blankets again, you head out of his room and into the kitchen.
You had a can of chicken noodle soup (with the spiral noodles) in your pantry, and you stuffed that and some cough drops in your bag before you came over. You rustle around Leon’s kitchen for a pot to start cooking his meal. As you stir and taste-test the soup every few minutes, you wonder how Leon’s feeling. He isn’t hacking so much, so as the soup simmers, you step to his room to peek.
He’s still propped up on his pillows, though his scowl is gone and his eyes are closed. He’s wrinkling his nose in his sleep, as if to push his bangs from his face without using his hands. You let a smile slip, and a plume of affection blooms in your chest. You step over as quietly as you can, brush his bangs from his face, and before you can stop yourself, you gently press your lips to his forehead.
“Sleep well, love,” you say softly. “I know you want to work, but you need to rest and heal too. I’ll be here when you wake up.”
You’re not sure why you’re telling this to his sleeping figure - perhaps telling it to him awake would be much too embarrassing. Leon’s eyebrow twitches, so you stand as quickly and quietly as you can, suddenly embarrassed by your tender moment, and you step out of the room.
If you had stayed for a second longer, you would have seen how Leon’s cheeks tinged pink yet again, how he smiled to himself, curled against his pillows, and so sweetly repeated one word:
“Love.”
Raihan
It was movie night, Raihan’s favorite night of the week, because that’s the night he got to spend with you. More importantly, that’s the night he got to sit on his couch snuggled in blankets and sweaters and drinking tea and bantering back and forth with you as you barely watched whatever was on the screen. It was always such a good excuse to sit close, and it was so natural just to casually wrap an arm around the back of his couch, and he decided that tonight was the night he’d finally make it around your shoulders.
Movie night started out as a joke when you mentioned that you had never seen Love in the Time of Pokerus (a cult classic), and Raihan was absolutely appalled and he demanded that you come over that same night to watch it. You agreed, and even brought snacks. The next week, you were shocked that Raihan had never seen Pulp Fanfiction (another cult classic), and you demanded movie night round two. The week after, Raihan suggested you both should probably make movie night a trilogy in order to honor the true cinematic genius that was trilogies, and you agreed by saying it would be an insult to art if you didn’t.
Raihan had lost count of what number you were at, but you were definitely beyond a trilogy, beyond a quadrilogy, and beyond whatever you called what was after five movies. Movie night had even evolved into dinner and movie night when you came a few weeks ago to his apartment and he could hardly focus with how much your stomach was grumbling. You tried to tell him you were fine, and when he noticed how genuinely embarrassed you were, he lied and said he hadn’t eaten dinner yet anyway, so it really wasn’t a hassle to make you something.
It was, however, an excellent opportunity to show off his cooking expertise. Although he was hoping for affirmation to begin with, your enthusiastic praise actually made him blush. Then, your comment on his blush made him blush harder. Not his best moment, but at least it made you laugh.
Raihan practically skipped to his apartment, noticing how beautiful the autumn trees were and how crisp the air felt in his lungs. Leaves crunched beneath his feet like a jaunty melody to add to the giddiness welling in him. It was your turn to pick the movie, so that meant it was his turn to cook, and he already had your favorite meal planned. It was going to be perfect. You had told him to wear his comfiest sweater, and you would wear yours, because whatever you were going to watch tonight deemed it necessary. He was fine with that, because big sweaters on you made you even cuter. If you were wearing his big sweater, well, that’d be just icing on the cake. One step at a time, though.
As he unlocked his apartment Raihan decided that, yep, tonight was the night. He’d finally break the touch barrier. You’ve hugged before (Raihan made sure of that), but never for longer than a normal friend-hug would last. You’d be full of delicious food, tired from your long shift at work, and you’d be snuggled and comfy and cozy in all the blankets he’d set up. He’d have the window open a crack so you’d want the fresh air and the blankets at the same time, but because you’d be a little chilly, you’d need to sit closer.
It was the perfect recipe for cuddling.
After cooking and prepping and swallowing his excitement time and time again, you finally texted to say you were on your way. Raihan used to be embarrassed by how hard he was crushing (Leon would even say whipped), but now he couldn’t care less. He wasn’t sure how you felt, though, so he tried not to lay the flirting on too thick like he would otherwise, just in case that scared you off. He’d rather have you as a friend than not at all.
There was a knock on the door, and Raihan nearly jumped out of his skin. Okay, be cool, be cool. He checked his appearance in the reflective microwave door, tousled his hair just enough, and stuffed his hands into his pockets nice and casually. He sucked in a breath, then opened the door.
And, he let it out, unable to hide his smile when he saw you standing there in your oversized sweater and cheeks pink from the cold.
“Alright,” you said. “I’ve brought options.”
“Options?” Raihan repeated as he leaned against his doorjam, perfectly cool. “That’s not how movie night works.”
“I’ve already taken it to the movie night board of advisors,” you said as you invited yourself into his apartment. “And they approved.”
You bantered back and forth, just as you did every week, sidestepping around each other as you prepared to eat. You were stepping closer to him than you usually did, though, but maybe that was just in Raihan’s head? It did solidify his plan of finally making a move tonight, though. He even took the chance of brushing your waist as he stepped behind you, but he didn’t get much feeling beyond your thick sweater.
Once his initial excitement to see you ebbed, Raihan covered his yawn with his sleeve. He actually had a pretty busy day himself; early workout, then extra training with the new apprentices at his gym, and a training match with Kabu. And actually, the day before that was pretty busy too… he bit back another yawn at the thought.
“You okay?” you asked.
“Yeah, just tired,” Raihan said as he stretched.
“You better not fall asleep,” you teased, and Raihan rolled his eyes as he followed you to his couch.
You both decided on one of the corny holiday movies you brought, turned it on, Raihan adjusted the blankets, you took your regular places on his couch, and his heart was pounding in his ears. He couldn’t initiate anything too early though, he had to set the mood.
Were candles too corny? Too obvious? You liked candles though, right?
“You like candles?” Raihan asked. “A fan gave me one earlier, and it smells like vanilla. Since I didn’t make a dessert, I figured that would be fitting.”
You laughed, and Raihan smiled at the sound.
“Yeah, candles are good,” you said. “Are you getting sentimental on me, Raihan?”
“No,” Raihan huffed, though his smile was prominent on his face. “Maybe.”
He stood, lit the candle, set in on the coffee table, and while he was up, he got your tea and flicked off the lights. Everything was going according to plan, so he took the initiative of sitting a few inches closer the next time he sat down.
The movie started, and the opening scene was immediately corny. Raihan groaned, but when he looked at your reaction, you had your lower lip jutting out, you were leaning towards the screen, and absolutely eating it up.
“Are you getting sentimental?” Raihan asked incredulously. “These movies are so cliche!”
“That’s what makes them nice!” you huffed. You hugged a blanket to your chest in embarrassment. “Yeah some are dumb, but they’re all like, wholesome and warm.”
“Are you cold?” Raihan asked. He knew that’s not what you meant, but he’d snatch any opportunity he had tonight. “Here, let me help.”
He scooched closer, enough that your thighs were touching, and he flung his blanket over both of your laps. He set his arm around the back of his couch, then in a moment of pure, calculated risk, curled it around your shoulders instead.
You blinked a few times, and Raihan tried not to make his tension obvious, though he did let out a deep breath when you eased into his side. Neither of you spoke a word about it with your mouths, but as the movie played, your bodies spoke loudly enough when you curled your arm around his waist, and nestled into his chest.
Tonight was going perfectly.
It was all a little cliche: the movie, the blankets, the snuggling in autumn evening, but Raihan didn’t mind. This was the most comfortable he had been in a while, and his eyes slowly drooped as the night went on. He jolted into focus when you poked his stomach though, because apparently the credits were already rolling.
“That was a good one,” Raihan mumbled, and your laugh shook your shoulders, so it shook his.
“You didn’t even watch it,” you tease when you poke him again.
“Yes I did. The woman came from that big city to the small town, then she met a guy who was humble and she didn’t think she’d like the little town but she did, he taught her the true meaning of family or friendship or something, then they kiss and live happily ever after on their quaint farm.”
Whatever you mumbled next was incoherent, and Raihan chuckled again. He gently fiddled with the fabric of your sweater sleeve and his eyes started to droop again. How could he get you to stay for just a little bit longer?
He didn’t need to think long when you bashfully mumbled next.
“There’s a sequel…”
“Amazing,” Raihan yawned, and he inwardly pouted when you got up to start the next movie. He held his arm out when you came back, an obvious invitation that any other position would be absurd. You quickly nuzzled against him again as the opening scene started.
Raihan let out a yawn and let his eyes close. He actually was dozing at first, but when you started talking to him about the movie, he jolted into focus again. After your brief conversation, he felt how you melted against him, he pretended to let out another snore, then he curled closer to you. And suddenly, the credits were rolling again, and you were both laying on his couch, tangled in thick sweaters and blankets and each other.
“Raihan,” you whispered. “Raihan wake up, the movie’s over.”
He wondered what you’d do, so he kept his eyes closed. He did curl his arms around you tighter - sleeping people did that, right? He didn’t want the night to end.
“Raihan I’ve gotta go home,” you whispered. “I can text you later, okay?”
He didn’t respond, though he was certainly frowning in his head when you untangled yourself from him. He listened to you bustling about, probably collecting your things, but he wondered why you suddenly paused. He heard the soft pat of footsteps, he almost opened his eyes, then his nerves tingled when you pressed your lips to his forehead.
“Um, tonight was fun,” you muttered. “Sleep well.”
He heard you scuffle away, heard his door open, then close again.
Raihan bolted up.
Did you just… did you just kiss him?
His legs and arms and the rest of his body were haphazardly tangled in blankets, so Raihan stumbled to the floor when he tried to stand.
“Hey!” Raihan called. “Hold on!”
He could do that for you too, except aim a few inches lower and really make it the perfect ending to the perfect night. Luckily you were only halfway down the hall.
Yeah, movie night was easily Raihan’s favorite night of the week.

🧡Dragon!RaihanxReader🧡
Drakes Keep
The townspeople live in fear of the dragon in the forest and have decided to make you the sacrifice to save them all. But perhaps the dragon isnt something to fear after all.
Tumblr media
This was how it ends. You thought to yourself as night descended. The only sound was the occasional breeze rustling the branches or the distant howl of a dog. You tried once again in vain to wriggle from the rope that kept you tied to the tree. Letting the back of your head hit the trunk with a thump, you bit your lip and finally allowed yourself to cry. This really was the end.
A dragons supper, that was your fate. The creature that called the abandoned castle home had returned, and the fear of what it could do had sent the townspeople into hysterics. Turning to the old ways once more to keep it appeased. Unfortunately for you, that had meant you were the one tossed to the beast. The old stories spoke of fair maidens and kings sons bravely sacrificing themselves for the better of others. But of course no one wanted to send their beloved children to death. But you? Orphaned and thieving,___? No one opposed that. And now you stood, hands bound to a tree as close to the Drakes Keep as they dared to bring you, waiting for death.
Night had finally fallen. The sound of crickets and the skittish steps of a rabbit your only company. Then as suddenly as it started, the forest was quiet and still as a grave. Even the breeze that blew the branches seemed to stop. Then the snap was heard. Then another. The crunch of leaves as if something heavy was being dragged across the ground. Then you saw it, a pair of teal blue eyes peeking out from between the trees. Tears continued to stream down your face as you locked gazes with the creature that would end.
"Just make it quick," you managed to choke out, throat raw from your sobbing. Not even sure if the beast could even understand you. "Please, be fast, that's all I ask."
The dragon finally moved. It slowly stepped out of the darkness and you could see it in it's full view. It's dark midnight scales almost blended into the night, in stark contrast to the golden scales that went up its stomach and throat. It tilted its triangular head curiously as it examined its food. Your eyes snapped shut as it got closer and closer, until you felt the hot breath of your face. The wet sound of its jaws opening was heard, and you could not help but scream.
      Then the ropes went slack.
"Relax." said a deep voice. "I wont do anything."
Opening your eyes, the dragon looked down at you, spitting out a piece of rope. "I...I… I dont understand." You shuddered out, wiping you tear stained face. "You arent going to eat me?"
The dragon rolled its eyes. "Honestly, what's with these villagers and thinking I want to eat people? Of course not."
You removed the last bits of rope around your wrist, glancing at the dragon all the while. It wasn't going to kill you. What did it want? "So…" you began cautiously. "What now?
"What do you mean what now?"
"If I'm not a meal, then what was the point of sacrifices? What is it that you want from the village."
"Nothing." The dragon replied as if it should have been plain as day. "I never wanted any sacrifices ever. I untie them and let them go. I don't want anything from your village."
"But… but…" you stammered. "The missing livestock. And all those old stories about a dragon that burned the town centuries ago!"
"My grandpa," the dragon replied. "Dont remember much about him, other than he was an old grouch. But that was a couple decades before I was even bored. as for livestock, sorry to say I was hungry. Large game have been scarce. Not my first choice, but you gotta do what you gotta do. Now," the dragon leaned down and sniffed at you, its warm breath blowing at your hair. "Who are you?"
       "-_" you stammered.
"And why, ___… did they decide to pick you to feed it the beast?"
You looked down, fiddling with the hem of your shirt. "No one wanted me." You answered honestly. "They were glad to have me gone."
The dragon sniffed once more, like a hunting hound committing a scent to memory. There was the sound of thunder out in the distance. "Well, you're free of them now." Was his only reply. "Theres another town just south of here." He pointed a claw to his left. "I can only guess you wouldn't want to go back from where you came."
You looked back between the direction the men who had tied up went, then the dragon, then to the direction he pointed. "So...so you'll let me go? Just like that?"
     "Just like that." He assured.
It seemed too easy. The dragon letting you go and free to start a new life far far away.  The sound of thunder drew a little closer, and with it the wind returned to rustle the trees. You shivered. They had taken your cloak when you were arrested, and obviously did not bother to give it back when you had been left to die.
The dragon seemed to take note of this, and tilted his head curiously. "What's the matter?"
"Cold." You admitted. "Since I can leave, do you happen to know where I could sleep for the night?"
The dragon eyed you once more and sniffed again as if looking for something of offense. When it seemed he did not find it, the dragon turned and nodded his head towards the direction he had come. "Follow me."
"You know my name," you said as you followed the creature further into the forest. "What's yours?"
"Raihan." He replied. "The Great Raihan."
"Who calls you that?" You asked, trying hard not to snort.
"Plenty of people." He said, twigs and leaves crunching under heavy feet. "I'll have you know, I have met many a knight and king that called me a great dragon."
"What kings? Anyone I might have heard of?"
"All sorts," he assured. "King Lance of Kanto. Queen Cynthia of Sinnoh. And most recently, your king Leon here in Galar."
"So tell me then, great dragon Raihan, why are you out here in the back water forests outside of my nowhere village?"
"Just as birds migrate, so do dragons." He explained. "We go from place to place, seeking spots of comfort to rest. Making a new home for ourselves or going to old ones."
"I take it this is an old home then?"
"Very old." He finally stopped and gestured to an ancient stone structure. With its half crumbled towers and vine covered parapets. "Very old indeed."
"I've only ever heard of this place." You said in awe as you walked up the stone steps of the ancient castle. "My grandmother used to tell me about the dragons lair. She and all the other elders called it The Drakes Keep."
"That's what you humans call it, yes." Raihan replied, pushing his large scaly body against the giant oak doors to open them. "But the true name of this place is Hammerlocke. Hammerlocke Castle."
Walking into the grand entrance, Hammerlocke caslte was oddly well kept for not having a human inhabitant for centuries. Aside from the few cracks in the stone from age, the floor was clean of dirt and debris. There was even decorative tapestries that still adorned the walls.
Raihan pushed against the doors once more to shut them firmly, keeping the cold out. Then you realized something.
"Um… not to sound rude or anything. But this doesn't look like a living space, and the doorways look far too small for you."
"Good observation. Sadly, castle life isn't very accommodating to this form."
     "Form?"
Instead of elaborating, Raihan showed you what he had meant. In a flash of light you saw the large creature shrink down and take the form of a very tall and very handsome young man. He stretched out and let out a sigh. "Yes form." He grinned at your shocked expression. "There are many things about dragons you don't know."
It turned out dragons were very hospitable. Raihan had kept the fire in the sitting room going with ease, making warmer than you had ever known. He had a sorts of finery stashed away, including good coats and blankets of the softest materials. He had explained it was in a dragons to hoard things of great interest or value. Despite that he may not have a need fancy furs to keep him warm or nice bottles of wine, they were still soft to lay on and tasty to drink, and so he kept them.
"I'm still surprised dragons can take human form." You commented, swaddled up nicely in the furs Raihan had loaned you, stomach full of the food he had gathered the other day.
"Oh yes, we are creatures of magic. Dragons, unicorns, the various breeds of fae." He took a sip from the golden goblet he poured the wine into. Unlike you he seemed to not be feeling the effects of it. "We were created by magic, neither human nor animal. So we are free to choose whichever form we please."
       "Do you appear human often?"
He shrugged. "I'd say it's fairly even. There is a time and a place for my true form, and I do enjoy visiting cities and what not, and that only really can be done like this." He gestured to his human form.
"I was always told dragons would sit in caves on piles of gold. Seeking princesses and young knights to drag away. Never that they like to be tourists."
"Everyone is different." He said. "Truth be told, all those stories are rather old fashioned. Me? I like humans. Well...some of you." He flashed you a grin, seeming to imply you were one of the likeable ones. "I suppose I've always been a rather curious one. When I was a hatchling, I would sneak off to town and play with local children."
"Now that does not surprise me," you said playfully while returning his grin. "You strike me as the sort who was a little scamp when they were young."
"Oh trust me, you are not far off." He chuckled. "My parents could do nothing to keep me away. Everywhere we went, I sought out people, and when I was grown I went all over. I learned to read in many of your human tongues. Learned histories of every land I could. Befriended as many as I could."
"That sounds amazing," you said wistfully. The life he described sounded like it could have only existed in a novel. You had never been able to venture out past the borders of the village. "I envy you, Raihan. I've never known such freedom."
"Well now you can." He replied. "All those townspeople think you won't return. You can start somewhere else."
Looking down at your own golden cup, your reflection stared back in the red wine. Never go back...that certainly was not the problem. They would not miss you, and you would not miss them. But what kind of life could you have out there? "I doubt wherever I go will be much better."
      "And why is that?"
"...Once a thieving urchin, always a thieving urchin." You said with all the resentment in you. That brand had followed you over half your life, and odds are it would follow you to the grave.
"I take it that's why they tied you up to be sacrificed." Looking up, Raihans face portrayed no emotion. Part of you wondered if now he was disgusted knowing he let a thief in here, or maybe he pitied you. Honestly you weren't sure which would feel worse.
You nodded. "When I was ten, my parents died. My grandmother long gone years before. My father's shop had caught fire, you see. And suddenly I was an orphan. No money, no home, no family. No one wanted to help. I had nothing, and so to the townspeople I was nothing.I did the only thing I could do: I stole to keep myself alive. I was arrested now and then, but I always got out. But the more I did it, the better I was at not getting caught. Well, until recently. And I think you know how that went."
"I wish I could say this is the first I've heard something like this, but it does seem like a sad reality to humans."  Raihans face then turned to concern as he reached out to put a hand in your shoulder. It wasn't until the tears were welling in your eyes a moment later did you realize it was because you were on the verge of crying. The events of today finally sinking in. Then he added. "But that doesn't mean you cant move on from it. Trust me, I've lived long enough to know what I'm talking about. Some of the best people I've known have lead similar beginnings to yours. I know it must feel awful now, but it'll get better. I promise."
"You can't promise anything." You said, wiping your eyes with the back of your hand. "What am I going to do in this new town? All I know is how to steal. I'll just end up back where I was."
"I mean, you could add some flare." He said jokingly. "I'd say you'd make a handsome jewel thief that steals hearts along the way."
You couldn't help but snort. "That is absolutely ridiculous."
"It's merely a suggestion." He grinned. "All I'm saying is why not have some fun with your self fulfilling prophecy?"
You paused for a moment. "...What was it like? When you first left to travel?"
"A bit frightful." He admitted. "But exciting. Often times lonely."
     "Lonely?"
Raihan nodded. "Yes, dragons, though we live long, are few and far between. Besides my family, it would be a few years before I saw another of my kind. Those stories you talked about of maidens in towers, I can assure you the reason was never malicious. Those drakes did it more for companionship than anything else."
"You make it sound like you speak from experience."
      "Well…"
      "Raihan, you didn't!"
"Oh I assure you ___," he smirked like an absolute cad and winked. "All princesses under my protection were there willingly.  And treated very well, if I do say so myself." Your face flushed at what he was implying, and Raihan bursted out laughing.
After a moment you began to laugh as well. It had been so long since you could sit like this and be friendly with anyone. Raihan was so good natured, it felt like it would be a challenge not to like him. "Are you going to stay in this castle long?" You asked. Wondering if it would be forward to ask if you could visit him from time to time after parting ways.
"For a few weeks," he said, taking a long drink from his goblet. "Then off to Wyndon."
"Wyndon? As in the capital city Wyndon?"
"The one and only. Off to visit a friend for the spring."
Part of you felt a bit disappointed for him to be leaving so soon. "I hope you enjoy it, " you said, meaning it. "I admit, I'll miss your company."
     "Then dont miss me."
     "What?"
"Come with me, I could use a travel companion."
"What would I possibly do in Wyndon?" Even as you said it, your mind raced with the possibilities. You had only heard in passing of the great city where King Leon held court. Of its beautiful building and the wealth of opportunities to be found there.
"What couldn't you do?" He replied. "The better question is what do you have to lose? Be my travel buddy, ___. See lands beyond this forest. Hear languages you've never heard. Rub elbows with royalty. If you don't like it I can drop you off in that village south of here, how does that sound? Unless of course you're considering being a heartbreaking jewel thief. In which case I wholeheartedly endorse your decision."
You thought it over and over. Be a dragons companion. Go to the capital and regions beyond. Or go to some other backwater town and possibly live in the mud once more. It wasn't a very hard decision. "I'll take you up on that offer."
Raihan smiled, a small fang poking at his bottom lip. He tapped his golden cup against yours. "Cheers. We ride in two weeks time."

Hi! I love the one-shot made with Raihan and the Rescuer! Reader, and I got an idea from it I was hoping you could do? Maybe a Short! GN! Reader who's main Pokemon is a Flygon? Reader has just moved to Galar and is in Hammerlocke, and their Flygon can sense another Flygon, being Raihan's, and just acts very out of the ordinary and practically drags Reader over to where Raihan is with his Flygon? And then Reader is just very embarrassed and at the same time gets an instant crush? But on the bright side at least their Flygons also instantly like each other?
Sure thing! I hope you enjoy, Anon! ヾ(•ω•`)o Genre: Fluff Characters: Raihan CW: None Summary: Having just moved to the Galar region, you were excited to get to know the new town of Hammerlocke with your trusty Flygon, even if you were a little lost... However, your day takes a surprising turn when your beloved Pokemon decides to drag you over to meet a new face! Word Count: 1058 words Grumbling to yourself, you rubbed the back of your neck as you glossed over the map on your phone. You had just moved to Galar a little over a week ago, to Hammerlocke specifically. So far, you were enjoying the change in scenery. Hammerlocke was a lovely city, and its inhabitants were very kind! However, you were still struggling to find your way around the town without getting lost. “You know Flygon, I’m beginning to wonder if this town is just big, or if I’m just terrible at remembering directions...” You mumbled to yourself. Your Flygon let out a small hum from above you, content flying next to you. Didn’t help how big this place was, and having to remember the little areas yourself. “Well, at least I’m finding a bunch of new places to go to once things settle down. Right, Flygon?” You asked, looking up where you last saw your Pokemon. However, you became confused when you saw your Pokemon was no longer at your side. “Flygon? Where did you...” You asked, spinning around. Looking behind you, you saw your Flygon hovering at the corner of a street, it’s attention seemingly fixated on something. Walking over to the Pokemon, you curiously tried looking down the street to see what had it’s attention. “Hey buddy, what is it? What are you-” You began, and reached up to pet your Pokemon’s belly. When you touched it though, your Flygon gripped your hand with it’s claw, and began dragging you down the street. “Woah, hey! Flygon, where are you going!? Slow down!” you yelped, surprised by your Pokemon’s behavior. You could only sputter out cries of confusion as your beloved Pokemon dragged you down a few different streets, before coming up to a park. With the park coming into view, your Flygon let go of your hand, and zoomed in on a nearby trainer. As you ran to keep up, you noticed your Flygon come to a halt next to the trainer’s own Flygon, eagerly spinning around the other. When you finally caught up, you nearly had to stop to catch your breath. “Flygon, you can’t just run off like that!” You cried out between pants. “Oh, so this sweet little guy is yours?” You heard the other trainer speak up. “Yeah, I’m so sorry about-” you began once you caught your breath, but froze when you looked up at the trainer. Holy shit he was tall. And handsome. Very Handsome. You felt your mouth go dry. Sure, you were already very much on the short side, but this guy, with that pretty grin on his face, practically towered over you. To your surprise, you couldn’t help but feel like you’ve seen this guy before... Noticing he was watching you, you felt yourself stammer having been caught staring. He simply grinned as you struggled to find words once more, and you felt your face grow hot. “I’m so sorry! Flygon doesn’t normally fly off like that. Sorry if we disturbed you!” You managed to squeak out. The trainer watches you for a moment, before shrugging. “It’s no problem at all. My Flygon seems to enjoy it’s company too.” He said, gesturing to the two Pokemon. Looking over, your eyes widen in surprise when you see your own Flygon chirping happily around the other Pokemon. Both seemed really happy around the other, play-chasing each other around. Huh. You were almost in awe seeing your normally reserved Pokemon playing with another so freely. It was kind of cute... Hearing the trainer clear his throat, you turn your attention back to him. “So, you new to Galar?” He asks, and you nearly stutter in surprise. He grins at your bewildered look. “Your accent is different. What is that, Hoenn?” he asked, and you briefly told him where you were from, trying to avoid looking him in the eyes. This man was too pretty for his own good and he knew it, you could tell. Humming when you explained where you were from, the trainer held out a hand. Curious, you shook it. “Name’s Raihan. What’s yours?” he asked, relaxing with his arms behind his head. You gave him your name, and he nodded to himself. Raihan... Again, you couldn’t help but feel like that name was familiar. “Fitting name! Hey, real quick, you got a phone?” he asked, suddenly becoming a bit more serious. Blinking, you reached into your pocket, and pulled your phone out and unlocked it. “Yeah, you need it?” you asked, handing your phone out to him. He simply grinned, and took the phone. After a few moments of typing, he handed the phone back to you. Your eyes widened when you saw a new contact. “Yeah. So you can have my number.” He said with a wink. You felt floored. Before you could respond, Raihan pointed to the two Flygon playing tag with each other. “Hey, my Flygon likes yours. I like to think Pokemon are a good judge of character. With a Flygon as cute and sweet as that one, surely it’s trainer is the same?” he teased. That’s it. This guy was trying to end you with his teasing. You were going to combust. Raihan than called out to his Pokemon, which spun around yours one last time before flying over. “Unfortunately, I have to get going.” He said, returning his Flygon to it’s ball. He turned to begin walking away, and you felt a little disappointed. You couldn’t help but want to get to know the guy more. However, Raihan turned back to look at you. “Hey, give me a call sometime! I’ll show you all around Galar!” He called out with a small wave. Feeling your face heat up again, you waved back with a smile! “Sure! That sounds great!” you called back, and he gave you another wink before walking away. With a groan, you put a hand to your face. Your Flygon nudged your shoulder, and you groaned once more. “Oh Arceus. A cute guy gave me his number!” Looking between your phone and your Pokemon, you reached over and began to pet your partner. “Thanks for the help today, buddy. You deserve a treat later.” Your Flygon hummed in satisfaction, happy with the day’s turn of events. Looking back at your phone, you smiled. Maybe getting lost today wasn’t so bad...

could i request a raihan x rescuer! reader (gender neutral if you can??) who (accidentally) has almost exclusively dragon type pokemon of their own, and ends up confiding in raihan in learning more about them? and if i can add this detail in (you don’t have to if you don’t want, i’m not picky) the reader has a dratini that’s extremely shy of new people but seems to warm right up to raihan??
Of course! Here you go Anon, sorry it took so long! Lotta IRL stuff hit me this week (ended up with no water for day in the whole town, that was fun lmao), so I had to write this over the course of a few days! I hope you enjoy! Genre: Fluff Characters: Raihan Warnings: Very brief mention of Pokemon abuse. Summary: As a rescuer, it’s your job to help Pokemon out of rough situations, and help them grow once more. After ending up with more dragon type pokemon than you bargained for, you decide to pay a visit to your childhood friend and local dragon type gym trainer: Raihan. Word Count: 1072 words --- You sighed as you walked through the residential district of Hammerlocke, looking for a specific building. You were on a mission, and needed a certain Gym Leader’s assistance. It was off-season for the Gym Challenge, so most officials involved were ‘free’ as of now. In this case, you were hoping Raihan would be free to see you. You two had been friends since you were younger, though your passions led to different avenues of work. That being said, you both still kept in touch, even if you didn’t get to see each other as often as you’d like. So here you were now, walking up towards his front door. Oh how you hoped he’d be free, and would be willing to help you out, if not for old times’ sake. Taking a breath to steel your nerves, you rang the bell, and waited. After a few moments, the front door swung open, with Raihan grinning on the other side. “Hey! What are you doing here?” He asked, surprised, but definitely still excited to see you. You gave him a small smile as he let you in his home, your anxiety melting away. “I hope I’m not interrupting you, but I was hoping to get some advice on something.” You briefly explained as Raihan led you towards his living room. Plopping onto a seat on his couch, he made a gesture for you to sit, which you gladly did so on a chair nearby. “Sure thing, what kind of advice do you need? Did you finally decide to take the gym challenge? Don’t tell me, you want me to give you tips on how to battle-” he teased, his smile turning into a smirk. You threw a pillow at him. “No, I’m not here for battling advice, I actually was hoping for something more related to Pokemon, specifically for work.” You specified. Raihan, tossing the pillow to the side, leaned forward in interest. It was no secret what you did for a living, working with a pokemon rescue organization. You were tasked with rescuing all sorts of pokemon, ranging from areas outside their normal habitats, to smugglers and dangerous trainers. If you weren’t doing the rescuing, you were often seen helping with the rehabilitation of the pokemon that had been rescued. “So what’s up? Must be important if you really need my help for something rescue related.” Raihan spoke up, curious. What could it be you needed help with? Raihan was fully aware you were more than capable at your job, so this was potentially important. You rubbed the back of your neck, before you began to explain. “So, you know I’m a part of the rehabilitation unit for rescued Pokemon, right? Well, normally this is no issue. However, I’ve ended up acquiring several dragon Pokemon as of late. Normally if it were one or two, this wouldn’t be an issue, but...” You absentmindedly grabbed one of the poke-balls off of your belt, and ran your thumb over it. Raihan idly watched as you fiddled with the small ball, listening intently. “I’m not too familiar with dragon types, compared to the other type of Pokemon I normally take care of. So I was wondering if you’d be able to help me out?” You asked, slightly nervous. Even if it wasn’t likely, he could always say no. However, as soon as you asked, Raihan’s eyes seemed to light up. “I’d love to! What do you need me to do!?” Raihan eagerly asked, standing up from the couch. Instantly, you felt all your worries ease away, and you smiled in relief. You really had no reason to worry, especially with how passionate about dragon types Raihan is. Of course he would help you out, given the chance. Standing up after him, you adjusted yourself before holding out the poke-ball in your hands. “Well, I don’t have all of them with me at the moment, we’ll need to head over to the rehabilitation center later for that.” You began, and grabbed Raihan’s wrist as he excitedly started making way towards the front door. “However, I do have a friend here with me, and we’re working on reintroducing them to people and trainers. Would you like to meet them now?” you asked, thumb once again rubbing over the small poke ball in your free hand. Raihan practically vibrated on the spot, a side not many got to see outside his close friend group with his usual cool public attitude. Taking his excitement as a yes, you released the pokemon from the ball. Appearing from the ball was none other than your most recent friend, Dratini. The (not so) little guy looked around for a moment, and let out a small squeak when it noticed it was in unknown territory. Immediately, the dragon fled and hid behind you, peeking out behind your legs at Raihan. It was almost comical seeing a 6ft long dragon type hide behind you, but you resisted giggling, and turned back to face your friend. Raihan’s eyes were wide as he studied Dratini, and you quickly began to explain. “This little Dratini is rather new to my team. They are struggling to overcome their shyness. I’m hoping to get them acquainted with other trainers and Pokemon sometime soon in the future. I figured here would be a good place to start.” In an instant, you could practically see all tension leave Raihan as he made himself relax. Slowly, he lowered himself to the ground to appear smaller, and held out a hand towards the Dratini behind you. “Hey lil guy. I’m Riahan.” he spoke, his voice gentle. While you were expecting Dratini to back away behind you, you were surprised to see it slowly peek out from behind you legs. It was still tense, but was curious as well. Raihan was patient however, and kept his hand extended, a lazy smile on his face. After a few moments, the Dratini slowly moved out from behind you. Much to your delight, Dratini not only moved out from behind you, but slithered up to Raihan, and gently headbutted his hand. Raihan’s grin nearly split his face in two as the Dratini gave a few more headbutts, and let out a small noise of content. The dragon trainer laughed, and began petting your Dratini in earnest, and you felt your heart melt at the sight. Yeah, you were glad you decided to come to Raihan for help.

can you write about Leon, Raihan, and/or Piers getting flowers from their crush?
this one is CUTE HOW do you people think of such CUTE THINGS??
I did little pieces for all the boys bc this was just so CUTE
~~
Impatiens, Daffodils, Daisies (PiersxReader, LeonxReader, RaihanxReader)
Piers:
Hears a knock on the door, groans loud enough for whoever is on the other side to know they are Not Welcome
Opens door ‘What do you-‘
Oh
Shit
He really wished he wasn’t so pale, because then it wouldn’t be so easy to see the pink in his face
Scratch that, flaring red
Because there you are, with your disgustingly sweet smile and a… bouquet?
‘I was in the market,’ you say with that stupid shiny smile. ‘And I bought these because they reminded me of you!’
Flowers? Him? That’s a first.
'They’re just gonna die,’ Piers mumbles. Hopefully him constantly pushing you away will give you the hint that he definitely wants you to stay
‘They’ll live for a little bit if you take care of them,’ you say, frustratingly unperturbed by his grumbling. “These ones do well in the shade – they’re hydrangeas and impatiens.’
You giggle. You giggle. Your stupid giggle is a melody in his ears. How do you so perfectly harmonize with everything in the air with that stupid giggle?
'Impatiens,’ Piers repeats. ‘Ha ha, very funny.’
‘I thought so,’ you say, offering your most charming – and most smug – smile
Piers turns before his face gets even more red.
(he doesn’t turn quickly enough)
‘Well um…’ Piers mumbles. ‘Thanks, I guess. Marnie will like ‘em.’
‘Oh,’ you say again. ‘I got some for her too.’
How do you do this? How do you care about him and the things he cares about? His face is as pink as these flowers.
The flowers for Marnie are apparently called ‘Bletilla.’ Piers would never remember those names if it wasn’t you that was telling him
‘Thanks’ he mumbles again, looking certainly out of place holding two colorful bouquets in his arms.
You’re turning, waving goodbye, still with that shiny smile
Piers fumbles. For someone who’s so often in front of crowds, being in front of just you always makes him stutter
‘D-Do you,’ Piers mumbles, ‘I’ve just put some tea on…’
You seem to understand, just as you always do, what he’s trying to say
When you nod, he lets slip a smile, and you do too.
Piers quickly forces down the corners of his mouth, but when he guides you into his house, they seem to perk right back up again.
 Leon:
Flowers on his doorstep isn’t an uncommon occurrence
Sometimes they’re from his mum though, so he always makes sure to check the tag
These ones are pretty... Daffodils and carnations – his favorite flowers. How did they know?
The only person who’s ever asked about his favorite flower is…
Leon’s alone in his house, but even then he tries to hide his smile when he reads the tag
It’s from you.
Of course it’s from you.
His hidden smile slips into a big one – huge and shiny and a little doofy, he’s embarrassed at how easily you affect him, even when you’re not around
You had tried to be so sly when you asked, rocking so simply on the balls of your feet
‘Sooo,’ you had asked, drawing out the word like a piece of stretchy chewing gum. ‘You must get a lot flowers, huh?’
Leon already knew where that was going, so he set his chin on his fist and leaned closer, just to see that cute little blush creep into your cheeks.
‘I’m just curious!’ you had spluttered, already outing yourself before you could even ask.
‘It’s true. I think I’m most excited though when I get daffodils and carnations,’ he had hummed, raising an eyebrow at you.
You had nodded, eyes flicking to the side as you tucked away that bit of information
At the time, all he could think was a steady stream of ‘you’re so cute you’re so cute you’re so cute’
That’s all he’s thinking now, too, when he imagines what your silly little grin must have looked like when you sent these
He’s got it bad
He’s got it so, so bad for you
You occupy his mind many minutes of every day, and now that’ll increase ten-fold whenever he looks at these flowers on his counter
Maybe he could invite you over, just so you can see how he’s proudly displaying these flowers as openly as he can
He pauses when he reaches for his phone
A twang of excitement pulls in his stomach
As does a bundle of nerves in his chest
Even when you’re not around, you do such a good job of making him nervous. Him. Nervous.
He types something out, erases it, types something else out, erases it.
What will make you smile? What will make you blush and bite back a giddy grin, just like he’s doing now?
He gives up and just sends a picture of your flowers sitting on his counter.
He wanted to say something clever, something charming and alluring, but all he could think of is
‘got some flowers today :)’
That was pretty lame.
Hopefully that’s hint enough, though
Apparently it is, because Leon swallows a squeal (him, a grown man, squealing alone in his house) when you immediately reply
‘Ooo, those are nice. Bet they’re even more beautiful in person’
Leon sends a reply, sets his phone down, and hides his face in his hands.
He’s got it so bad.
 Raihan
‘So, does he love you, or does he love you not?’ Raihan teases
‘You don’t even know if it’s a guy,’ you retort after a quick jolt of surprise.
Raihan watches in smug amusement as you try to hide the daisy petals you were plucking
You’ve never been very discreet, but Raihan loves it
‘But now I know you weren’t just plucking petals,’ he hums
His heart thumps when you blush, when you bashfully turn your head and grumble
‘C’mon, who is it,’ Raihan asks, tugging on your sleeve. ‘I won’t tease’
Probably.
Really it depends on who you were plucking petals for.
‘Rubbish,’ you say.
He playfully begs and pleads, but you won’t budge.
When you tell him to give up, Raihan wonders if now is the time to tell you
He’s been thinking it for a while now (since the second he met you, actually)
At first it was just because you’d look great with him on his social media platforms
But now he almost wants to keep you for himself
That’s why he brought you up to this hill overlooking Hammerlocke, so no one could cut into your time together
He’s mulling it over in his mind, how to finally confess, how to make it charming and suave, only to pause when you hold out the daisy stem
It’s got one petal left.
‘He loves me,’ you say quietly.
Raihan’s gaze flicks between your eyes and the single petal
Do you…? Could you?
‘But I guess that depends on if you count the last petal or if you count after the last petal,’ you say quickly when he doesn’t respond.
You’re retracting the daisy stem, only to pause when Raihan lightly pulls the stem from your fingers
‘I’d say it counts,’ he says. He wanted to make this charming and whatnot, but he’s feeling a little vulnerable himself.
He tucks the daisy stem behind his ear.
‘How do I look?’
‘Good,’ you say. ‘It fits.’
‘I think so too,’ he says.
His fingers comb through the grass, the daisy petals
His hand finds yours, and you lace your fingers together
‘I’d even say he loves you too.’

Hello there I would like to say your work is amazing in AO3. Can you write about Hop, Leon and or Raihan asking there crush to dance with them?
oooo thanks so much :) :) :)
So first ill say this goes from warm/fuzzy (hop, leon) to Much More spice (raihan) so uh be careful lol. I wanted to make sure they were all different enough! Raihan’s has themes of alcohol & clubbing.
(also sry for the super lame title lol)
~~
'Dance With Me?’ (HopxReader, LeonxReader, RaihanxReader)
Hop
‘Go on, Hop, ask for a dance,’ Leon prods.
‘Cut it out Lee,’ Hop grumbles in return as he swats Leon’s hand away. ‘You’re being too loud!’
You’re chatting with your friends at the Gym Challenge Gala. Everyone who’s participated is welcome, but mostly it’s those who’ve made it past the fourth gym.
The older challengers have a social event later in the night, but Leon came to this one early just to support his little brother.
(Support his little brother in finally making a move on you)
Bellonlea is hosting this year, so strings of fairy lights hang from the branches of the tall, dark trees. They make your eyes glitter, and that was the first thing Hop liked about the gala.
You’re on punch-refill duty, but really you can only carry so many of your friend’s cups.
‘Now’s your chance,’ Leon whispers, and he gives Hop’s shoulder a shove. ‘Remember the steps I told you. You’ve got this.’
‘Yeah, I’ve got this,’ Hop repeats, and he confidently marches to the punch bowl, only to swallow back a bundle of nerves when he meets you there.
‘Hi Hop,’ you say as he approaches.
‘Hi,’ he coughs. ‘You... you look nice.’
Step 1: Compliment. Complete.
‘Thanks,’ you say with a smile.
Your smile is so nice. He makes jokes just to make you smile. Even when you battle, he tries to make you smile.
Hop smiles too. Onto Step 2.
What was Step 2.
He can’t remember Step 2.
‘Are you... enjoying yourself?’ you ask awkwardly. Hop’s stare is a little unsettling.
Step 2 Step 2 Step 2. Uhhh.
‘Huh? Oh, uh, yeah,’ Hop splutters. ‘Yeah. You?’
‘Yeah.’
You wait for a response from Hop. It doesn’t come.
Dance.
Dance!
Step 2 is dance.
‘You wanna dance?’ Hop asks suddenly.
‘I’ve... I’ve got this punch,’ you reply.
He plucks the cups from your hands and sets them on the table. Problem solved.
‘I guess that works,’ you chuckle.
When you smile, Hop smiles too.
Leon
You had been working so hard lately, so Leon wanted to treat you to something nice.
He just wanted to be a good friend!
It’s normal for friends to have a candlelit dinner, right?
And watch a movie on the couch after, right?
...and casually yawn, rest his arm on the back of the couch,
…….then around your shoulders?
Normal.
He just wanted to help you relax! You’ve been so tense lately, working hard and doing your best.
(he’s proud of you, and he tells you that every day)(now that your relationship friendship is at the point of talking every day)
He wasn’t sure what he was expecting, especially when your eyes were drooping even through your dinner.
(the dark lighting probably didn’t help, but it did make you even more stunning)
(apparently Leon could be more attracted to you)(he thought he reached the limit)
(he didn’t)
Movie started, bam, you, fast asleep, right on his chest.
(he hoped his pounding heart didn’t wake you)
You didn’t wake until the next morning, with a pillow under your head and a blanket around your shoulders.
You stumble into the kitchen with a yawn to see breakfast being made and soft music in the background.
There’s Leon, t-shirt and sweats, messy bun and sleepy eyes.
‘Morning,’ he says simply.
‘Hi,’ you say as you rub your eyes. ‘Did I sleep all through the night?’ He nods.
The music is nice; it’s soft and simple, a perfect addition to the foggy dawn.
You lean on the counter and listen.
‘Hey, I think they played this at my prom,’ you say with a light chuckle.
‘Yeah?’ Leon asks. ‘I never had a prom.’
‘Shame,’ you chuckle. ‘You really missed out on a whole lot of awkward.’
‘You? Awkward? Impossible,’ Leon teases, because you both know that is very much possible.
You chuckle again, then there’s silence between you. He catches how you watch him.
You turn with a blush, suddenly realizing the intimacy of morning.
‘Did you dance with any tall handsome men?’ Leon asks. You’re not sure if he’s teasing, so you only roll your eyes.
Soft sounds still play from the radio, and Leon catches your eyes again.
‘Do you want to?’ he asks quietly. ‘Dance, I mean?’
‘...Now?’ you ask. ‘In… your kitchen?’ Leon shrugs, and you suppose that you could offer him a little taste of prom, though really this is nothing like prom.
‘Is... is that weird?’ Leon asks. You shrug too.
You step towards him, and he to you, and you both let out an awkward, breathy laugh. You’re just friends, so this is fine. Normal, even.
It’s normal how he curves his hand around your side, gently lifts your hand in his.
It’s normal how you set your head on his chest, how you both gently sway to the melody of the radio.
It’s normal how you unintentionally let out a hum, how you almost doze in and out.
Yeah, this is nothing like prom, but that’s alright with you.
Raihan
Pounding music, neon lights, hungry eyes.
Curious hands wet from the condensation on his glass.
He’s been watching you all night.
Whenever you meet his eyes, it makes something swirl in his stomach, something good, something dangerous.
Raihan doesn’t often need liquid courage, but when it’s you, it certainly helps
Another shot mixes with the tension building in his gut when he watches you.
He’s never seen you like this before.
Legs, thighs, hips, waist, chest, shoulders, face.
Everything.
With the neon lights, the way you move is like magic, nothing like he’s ever seen.
And he’s seen a lot.
(He doesn’t frequent this club often, but now he plans to.)
You leave the dance floor, swaying and sweaty, glistening pink, then blue, then green, as the lights flash.
You’re at your table, off the dance floor, sipping your drink and checking your phone.
The blue light highlights how you bite your lip, and Raihan’s breath catches.
He can’t wait anymore.
He finally leaves the bar, leaves his friends, but they aren’t surprised, because he’s been watching you all night.
Maybe its the alcohol, or maybe its just you, but he wants to be as close as he can. He sets his elbow on the table, leans towards you.
‘Hey,’ he says. ‘Didn’t know you liked dancing.’
‘Now you do,’ you say simply. You match his gaze, you mirror how he drinks in every bit of your body.
‘You learn something new every day,’ he says. He leans closer, his eyes drag to your lips. ‘Glad today I got to learn this.’
‘Clever,’ you say. You know he’s been watching you. Every time you’ve looked up you’ve seen those sharp blue eyes. Here, now, before, everywhere else. You know he likes looking at you, but this is the first time he’s been so forward.
‘I like dancing too,’ Raihan says, though it’s practically a purr.
‘What a coincidence,’ you hum, and you stare down those hungry eyes.
‘So,’ Raihan says. He’s not even trying to be discreet as his eyes drink in every bit of you yet again. You’re hot enough to burn the throat, just like the that alcohol burns in his veins.
‘May I have this dance?’ Raihan asks. He’s curving his hand around your hip, pushing his thumb into the bone.
‘What a gentleman,’ you say, and you pull his other hand to you.
That sharp canine makes an appearance when he grins.
He likes this side of you.
You lead him to the dance floor, where the music is louder and the people are closer.
Neon lights flash, thumping in your body like the rumbling bass.
His hands are definitely curious.
But, so are yours.
