Cells - Kili x reader
Tumblr media
Type: Imagine  Pairing: Kili x reader Summary: when the Mirkwood Elves forget about a dangerous skin-changer in their dungeons.  Warnings: ‘shit’ and ‘fuck’ Word Count: 998
Non-English, italicised words are in Khuzdul, the language of the Dwarves.
To put it simply, Kili was not pleased that, after all they had gone through already, and being tantalisingly close to Erebor, they had been discovered by Mirkwood Elves and thrown into their dungeons.
He didn’t mind the one they called Tauriel - but she had left abruptly, avoiding his eyes - and besides, it seemed that the Elf prince, Legolas, was falling for her. Kili did not particularly wish to be decapitated, so he too pushed his thoughts away.
He had been looking through the bars for some time, but eventually he turned and looked over his shoulder. The cell was far longer than he had thought, shadows cloaking the back parts so he did not know how long it was. He sat on the stone bench they had provided, looking at the miserable tray of food that had been thrown in with him.
For several minutes there was nothing but silence, as there should be.
Then, a quiet voice came from the shadows. “May I please have some of your food?”
“Mahal! Who’s there?” Kili started, standing rapidly and backing towards the cell door. Not that that would help. It was locked, obviously.
“Don’t be afraid, Dwarf” said the voice again. Kili tilted his head. It sounded distinctly feminine, but he was more paying attention to the fear that seeped through it. “I’m not going to hurt you, I promise. I have been here for a long time, and I haven’t had food in too long.”
Overcome by curiosity, Kili took one of the slices of stale bread, holding it out to the vague direction the voice was coming from. Honestly, he was in a prison cell. He had nothing left to lose. “I trust you, then. I’m Kili.”
He heard footsteps, then a girl came into the light. She had h/l, h/c hair, s/c skin that was probably paler than it had been previously from the underground dungeons, and she was Kili’s height. However, the most interesting thing about her were her eyes. They were e/c, with hints of gold and silver that were entrancingly unnatural.
“Thank you,” she said, sitting next to him taking the piece of bread and eating it rapidly. “I’m Y/N Y/L/N. I haven’t eaten in ... ten years, I think.” She pointed at the wall across from them, which was covered in red tally marks (they were probably blood, Kili thought).
“Ten- holy shit, Y/N, how are you alive?” Kili blinked rapidly.
“I am not human, nor a Dwarf, Halfling or an Elf,” Y/N explained between mouthfuls. “I am a skin-changer.” She flinched, as if she expected Kili to hit her.
The Dwarf simply shrugged, throwing a grape into the air and catching it in his mouth, wincing as the sourness kicked in. “We met one called Beorn.”
Y/N snorted. “Beorn and I are quite dissimilar. He can do this, right?” The girl stood up, and transformed into a hulking black bear that towered above Kili even on all fours.
“Yes,” Kili said weakly. “He can do that.”
The bear turned back into Y/N, who folded her arms and smirked. “Well, Beorn can’t do this.”
And suddenly, Kili was looking at an exact replica of himself, who then grew into Thranduil, who then glanced across out of the bars and turned into Thorin.
“Oi! King Under the Mountain, or whatever!” she yelled, taking on his voice. Thorin looked up at other-Thorin next to Kili and yelled in surprise, falling off his bench.
Other-Thorin chuckled, and melted back into Y/N, who was now (your height). “Never gets old.”
After witnessing that, Kili was shocked enough that the only question he asked was, “Why are you taller than me now?”
Y/N glanced down at him and blinked, then she shrunk down to his size. “There you go. This is my ... default self, I suppose. I can change my height, but not other aspects of myself if I am altering this form.”
“So ... you’re a skin-changer, but not like the other skin-changers,” Kili said, already confused.
Y/N pulled back the sleeve of her f/c tunic, revealing a golden tattoo on her wrist in a language Kili couldn’t read - some kind of script. “That’s Quenyan for five, for there were five like me. Now, there are only two. I do not know where Ranwinne is now - but I was captured for ‘trespassing upon Mirkwood borders.’” She rolled her eyes. “Thranduil is a inbul-hibir fundhamâd-ublag. (Pointy-eared lembas-eater)”
Kili snorted, offering Y/N another piece of bread, which she gladly accepted. “Why did you never leave? Could you not skin-change and get out?”
Y/N shrugged. “I have been too weak. Thank you for the food, Kili.”
She stood again, changing into a f/c-and-e/c butterfly, fluttering through the bars and changing back into her ‘human’ form, making sure she was the same height as Kili as she opened the door to his cell.
Kili pulled her into a hug, Y/N’s arms freezing for a minute before she embraced him back. “Y/N, you’re the best.”
Y/N grinned, running to let out all the other Dwarves (Thorin not even thanking her, still being annoyed about being scared by her, and Fili congratulating her because of it).
Just as she came back to Kili, a hobbit in fashionable but destroyed clothes came running up the stairs, a jangling set of keys in his hands.
“Oh, for fuck’s sake,” the hobbit moaned, seeing all the Dwarves already out of their cages.
Y/N couldn’t help but chuckle as she waved at the hobbit, who was shorter than her even when she was at Kili’s height.
“It matters not how we got out of these cells,” Thorin grumbled. “Bilbo, do you have a way to get out of Mirkwood?”
Bilbo nodded, and turned to lead them to the cellars. As each Dwarf filed past Y/N, they thanked her heartily. Kili was the last to pass her, and as his thanks, he pressed a quick kiss to her cheek.
“Thanks, Y/N.”

Stuck in the middle (Thorin x reader; Thranduil x reader)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Requested by: @queenofmankind
Request: Hi can I request an imagine where the reader is a fem elf who’s travelling with the dwarves company and Thorin feels the tug that tells him you’re his One although he never admit it, just to discover later on that you’re Thranduil’s lover when the Company arrived in Mirkwood.
Word count: 1456
A/N: Because today it is Richard Armitage’s - the actor who played Thorin - birthday , I decided to give this fic a happy ending for our favourite dwarf king
~~~~~~~
Gandalf had asked you to join the Company of Thorin Oakenshield after you told him you wanted to leave any commodities behind and help more people in Middle Earth. Thanks to your long life span, you had seen the rise and fall of many empires, cities and kingdoms as well as many of  Middle Earth's secrets that only someone like you had the time to unveil.
Convincing the Company of your use in the quest had been difficult to say the least mostly because of your race and the circumstances, given that you joined them in Rivendell.
"A woman in our quest? And a she-elf to say the least?" Gloin had exclaimed, making everyone mumble and complain about it. It seemed everyone apart from Bilbo and Gandalf was not happy about your addition, which you didn't take as an offence: you knew how the Mirkwood elves had treated the dwarves of Erebor in their time of need; In their position, you would've been just as wary, that's why you challenged yourself to change their opinion about you.
"Mithrandir" you greeted him at one of Rivendell's balconies "(Y/N)" "It feels strange to help the Company" you watched how the dwarves had fun laughing at a member who had just broken a table he was sitting on "I know I ask a lot, given their opinion on elves. Specially Thorin's"
Ah yes, Thorin Oakenshield, son of Thrain, son of Thror. He hadn't been ecstatic with Gandalf's announcement, in fact, he had been quite vocal about his opposition to it "Why would I want an elf" his words had venom, especially at the mention of your race "Elves don't approve of our journey, and I wouldn't trust with my life those who have already abandoned my people once" His eyes had been on you all the time, anger and another emotion you couldn't have pinpointed.
"I understand where he comes from, I only wish to prove him otherwise...That not all elves have the same mentality" "I wish you all the luck to you, he is a very prideful dwarf" Cups of wine clashed together as you enjoyed the Valley of Imladris' gentle breeze.
Disbelief, that's what Thorin had felt when his eyes landed on you and felt a familiar tug in his heart. For years, since he was a young dwarfling, he had dreamed of finding his One but after Smaug's attack, whatever hope he had faded, including the one of finding his one true love. Now, as he had you in front of him, he didn't know whether to laugh or cry: he had found you, yes, but you were from the same kin of those who didn't help his in their darkest hour.
~~~~
Your sword slashed the goblins with scary precision, one only elves could possess. Like a hurricane all fell around you, none coming near enough to inflict any kind of pain or become a menace "Thorin!" You saw a horde of those creatures approaching the Company's leader, who seemed too lost in fighting another group that he didn't notice them. As you made your way to him, you continued executing anyone who went toe to toe with your sword, your eyes trained in the dwarf king; Not even when you ducked or jumped did your eyes leave him.
As you arrived at his position he turned around with wary eyes, which softened when he saw who you were, catching you off-guard "There are too many! Let's fight back to back!" As you said that, more goblins appeared, obliging Thorin to follow your strategy with a huff.
His outside mannerisms and attitude, though, couldn't be far more different than how happy he felt that you were fighting together as one, like soulmates who knew exactly how the other fought.
~~~~
"Lady (Y/N)?" Everyone's eyes turned to you when Mirkwood's prince recognized your face "Hello Legolas" You faked a smile, not content at all with your kin's hostility "I demand you let us go"
"That is not for me to decide, but Ada's" You could feel the hatred pouring from the Company's gazes, especially the Durin's folk, but decided to carry along with your plan, with all its consequences.
"I'm sure he will listen to what I have to say" You smiled, ignoring the guard who was checking you for any possible threats.
You were all guided to Mirkwood, where the Company was imprisoned while you were accompanied to the Throne Room "Ah, (Y/N)" The elf king smiled sweetly from his antler throne "Thranduil" "What can I do for you, Nin Meleth?" "You must set free the Company. Their intentions are nothing but noble, as well as their quest" "(Y/N)...You understand I can't let them go without a bargain right?" "If you were a good king who empathized more with the other kins perhaps" "Watch your tongue. While I hold you very dear in my heart I won't hesitate to raise my voice if necessary" "I understand, but-"
Your conversation was cut short as the guards brought Thorin up. He looked dishevelled, a far cry from how you had met: his hair was covered in spider webs, and the ends of his coat soaked in dirty water and mud. And even like that, he still stood proud as the rightful King Under the Mountain, with qualities you'd to admit Thranduil didn't possess.
"(Y/N)" You nodded at Thorin, stopping yourself from siding with the dwarf king, scared of making the situation worse than what it was about to become.
The negotiations didn't go very far, as Thorin wasn't about to give Thranduil Erebor's gems in exchange for the other's help, not when he had deceived his people once
"Imrid amrad ursul!" With those words, you knew Thorin had sealed his fate. for Thranduil was quick to dismiss him, but not before playing another card.
"(Y/N), you will stay here with me. This little adventure of yours ends here" "But-" "I will not repeat myself, dear" Thranduil beckoned you a second time, hand extended which you took with distaste "What?" "Has she not told you? My, my (Y/N), and here the dwarf thought he had any chance with you" Your brows shot up in surprise "My lord, what are you saying?" "I can't believe you have been so naïve my dear" Thranduil smiled, pleased that his pet name infuriated Thorin even more "He's obviously infatuated with you...May I adventure myself to think you are his One?"
Thorin looked at the other king defiantly "You do not know anything about me!" "Oh but you know I do" He just smiled wickedly "Thorin, I didn't know..." "Don't make this any worse" Thorin's voice cracked, defeat etched in his features "I do not wish to do so! In fact, I want to make everything clear. Yes, I have been infatuated with Thranduil for centuries. He was a good elf, one that seemed to take over the world and protect it from any danger" You turned your head to Thranduil "But not anymore" At that, Thorin's eyes widened, as well as Thranduil's "I'm sorry, but you are nothing but a shadow of what you were: you let the forest fall ill, the darkness has possessed it with the spiders. You didn't take part in defending another kin's kingdom you were allied to, and now that you could make amends you decide to be egotistical!" Thranduil's face was like an open book: he felt betrayed, hurt that you decided to side with the dwarves instead of your lover "I'm sorry, but this ends here" You freed yourself from Thranduil's weak grasp and descended the throne's stairs "Is that quest more important than me?" "Yes, it is the right thing to do, but you can't seem to figure it out"
Next thing you knew, the guards were dragging you to the dungeons alongside Thorin, who thrashed around to free himself before being thrown in a cell "You have been blinded (Y/N). Trust me, this will be for the better" Those were the last words you heard from Thranduil before the cell's door closed.
"(Y/N)?" Balin exclaimed, upon seeing you "What are you doing here?" "Thranduil and I didn't see eye to eye on some matters. I thought I could put some sense in him, but he's not the man I fell in love with a long time ago. I'm sorry I couldn't be more useful"
It seemed like some members of the Company wanted to talk to you regarding the "Thranduil's lover part", but Thorin quickly shushed them, not wishing to put you even more down "I'm sure everything will be alright" "How?" "We still have a chance"
A chance that would present itself in the form of a very witty hobbit called Bilbo.
She’s the man
fili x reader
Also please send in prompts, it would help dearly. You know like lines like "uhh what exactly do they do? kick names , kick ass."
Tumblr media
Summary: Gandalf tells you to hide the fact you are women ;to allow you come with the company without Thorin rejecting you because you are woman. I have seen this idea a bunch of imagines so I decided I'll take a kick at it , making it my own. Word count:2464
You had been apart of the company a couple of weeks , nine months now, yet your identity is still hidden. You barely talked to anyone; if you did it was to Gandalf or Bilbo. You knew Bilbo was smart he knew something was up with you, every month there was a couple of days where your face screwed up frowning ,or you clutched you're stomach. Bilbo was no idiot, he took in the small details, not bathing at the same time, always wearing a hat ,scarf and oversized clothing.
He decided to confront Gandalf about it, in which Gandalf brought you over and you told Bilbo your secret , and concluding that he was sworn to secrecy. This caused you to grow close to Bilbo, he would take watch when you bathed so no one saw you , you would ride next to him on the pony, and you would make fun of of the dwarves behind there backs.
The Two princes caught on about your close bond with the hobbit and decided they need to confront you. The two princes stood behind you smirking as you bent down to grab your bedroll packing it up. Oh you just know they stared at your ass , even though you were a 'man'. You had chosen the name Jared , as your male name , you didn't know why , you knew how to read and you weren't a moose. Yeah.
"Mister Jared?" Kili has called out , making you stand up right facing them, towering them slightly , because simply you were a human. You had just finished packing your bedroll ready to be on the road again when they had gained your attention. You had nodded trying not use your horrible excuse of a mans voice.
They had taken in a big breath, before fili spoke "uh.. we were wondering if you and Bilbo were um-""are you fucking master boggins?" You had gasped at their question, and their use of words , "why would you think that?!" You had whispered shouted at the princes , as there flashes flashed red , well mostly fili , kili was smirking. "Well you always take him to keep watch when you bath so..." he had grinned at you, you scoffed.
"Bloody hell, maybe I just don't want prople seeing my body, it's called privacy." You spoke quietly not trying to draw the others attention.
"Why wouldn't you be comfortable?" Kili had continued not convinced really, he was really annoying you now. "Because I don't have the typical male body-""how so, you don't have breasts.” you had gasped "maybe I don't want dwarven princes seeing my cock out , then bloody wanking to my big ass cock." And with that you walked away with your bag hoping on your pony ready to continue your journey, leaving the princes stunned.
Now you were at Rivendell, you were finally able to bathe in peace and walk around in a elven dress and no one would recognise you. You and Bilbo had decided to share a room, he had been writing in a book on the bed as you went to bathe. However once you had gotten out wearing just a robe ; Bilbo was no where to be found. So you had dressed in a mint green dress that Elrond had given you , knowing your secret. You would have worn your own clothes, but Bilbo had taken them to wash them for you , what a nice hobbit he was.
You were very much grateful for the friendship that bloomed between you had Bilbo. You could not deny the attraction you felt towards the golden haired prince, you had no chance he liked women but you had to be a man. You wish he could get to know you , y/n a women , That had been admiring him the whole journey.
So now you were in search of a little hobbit , in a fancy dress which showed more of a bust than you were use to, you know being a 'man' and all you didn't show anything. You spent around an hour searching for him; before you found him at a fountain with your clothes all laid out to dry.
Unknowingly to you two dwarven princes were following you , in awe of your beauty , hiding in bushes and such. "Bilbo!" You had called out , making the hobbit turn and smile at you. "Look at you all dressed up!" He had called, you smiled widely at him before bending over picking him up placing him on your hip like a toddler, as he had just bunched up all the clothes placing them in a bag which you took and placed on your shoulder.
Whilst fili had whispered to his brother , "I know that bottom, kili." Kili had looked at him confused. "I don't know who's it is but I know it." The brothers stayed hid thinking where they could know you from, surely they would remember such a beautiful girl , they had thought.
You had headed back to your room to change , sending Bilbo to dinner to make sure no one went looking for you , he would just tell them 'no he is just getting dressed he had just bathed he will be here soon.' But it was too late Thorin had already sent fili to your room to fetch you. You were half dressed, in your trousers and undershirt which was a thin white vest which showed you definitely had breasts even if they were small or huge, no hat ,hair down.
Knock, Knock, Knock. You had assumed it was Bilbo telling you to hurry up, he always knocked just in case , but he seen you in a vest and pants before so it was fine. "Come on." You had raised your voice so Bilbo could hear. The door creeked open , and the shuffling of feet was heard soon after a gasp. "Um..excuse me but why are you wearing Jareds cloth- wait." You had turned around to see a red faced Fili , you gasped throwing on your shirt.
He thought about it and it all made sense. "You are Jared. " he spoke you nod, "yeah, um but that's not my name, it's Y/n." You spoke looking down at the floor in embarrassment. "Y-your a women..why lie?" He asked still shocked , he knew he liked you since he met you , but it wasn't common , well it was rare for a male to like another male so he pushed it off. "Your uncle wouldn't have let me come, plus if anything it was Gandalf's idea." You sat on the end of the bed , Fili shut the door , and walked to next to you taking a seat.
"Is that why you would only talk to Bilbo rarely anyone else? Because he knew?" He questioned you, you had simply nodded. "So are you going to keep this a secret still? I don't think Uncle will abandon you on the side of the road. The company like you, plus if he tries to kili and I will hide you in our packs. Mahal I will develop ale belly over night just to hide you like that.." You giggled at his words, small blush on your cheeks , he smiles at you.
"I guess ;I must now." And with that he grabbed you hand pulling you up , saying we already late for dinner and there won't be any left if we do not hurry. He lead you down the stairs and to the company who were sat at two tables, they all had looked at you and fili confused. "Who's the lass,Fil." Bofur had shouted with a smirk looking at your interwoven hands,which you tried to drop but Fili kept a hold. "You already know y/n." Gandalf looked mortified , looking towards Thorin , who's lips twitched up for a second.
He wasn't stupid just like Bilbo he had figured out that you were not a man, he didn't push it because you stayed out of his way and in fights you tried your best even though you had barely any experience. You didn't know why Gandalf had requested you on this trip, nor did anyone else apart from Gandalf who forced you on this trip.
The company had sat staring still until Bilbo stood up, throwing his arms up in the arm. "You bloody idiots , it's Jared ," he had shouting , as the dwarves whipped back to you eyeing you up and down. " you have a cock?" Kili had enquired only for Dwalin to slap him in the upside of the head. You pull fili by the hand sitting down on the next empty seat.  "Y/n been pretending to be male this whole time, so that you would treat her the same, I did not want you treat her like a burden, when she is not." Gandalf spoke up making the dwarves turn their attention to the wizard , no reaction at first.
Well that was until Fili stood up from beside you with a cup of ale ,"I say we welcome her , as we did before." "Aye to that." And with that they drank.
That started your friendship with the oldest prince ;however it was not like the one you had with Bilbo. When you had all been kidnapped by Goblins he had shield you from the whips , and once you were running to escape he had grabbed your hand pulling you along with him.
Then when the orca had ambushed you  he became your shield again , even though you told him not to and tried to push past him but he would not budge. After that the eagles came he had almost suffocated you , to hold you , trying stop you falling off the eagle. Which you would not have.
I am not joking when I say this , when Beorn started chasing you he had thrown you over your shoulder , Turning into sonic to get you to safety. This is exactly what Gandalf meant about being treated like a burden, you didn't know that wasn't why he was doing it.
Anyways you all had been captured by the elves of the Greenwood realm , and you were stripped down to your underclothes not the dwarves, thrown in cells but then Bilbo had broke you all out. Your vest see through from the water , as you out swam the orcs. Legolas the kings son stopped watching you all go. You had turned around in the barrel "get shagged by an octopus, princess!" You shouted towards him, you were pissed off by the fact they had stripped you to such a level. He had looked at you like a little puppy turning his head side to side, you turned away to smirking company.
"She's got a mouth on her lads." Bofur had shouted out smirking, not that you saw kili or some of the other dwarves raising their eyebrows suggestively. He sent them a look that said  fuck off.  As you reached land stepping out of the barrels soaking wet, hair sticking to you , clothes sagging down due to the water weight.
You had noticed your problem moving your hands ove the fabric of your vest ,which your nipples were visible, crossing your arms. No one had any coats as they were only stripped of them.  Fili had walked over to you ready to strip himself of his tunic, you shook your head no. "I'll be fine once it dries, don't worry." You had spoken quietly to the dwarf . Before he could say anything a barge man had appeared firing his bow at the rock kili held in defence.
"Do it again and you're dead." Damn his voice sounded like pure golden domination,and stern. Fili had placed himself in front you, you had groaned at his action, which he ignored.
Soon enough you were all upon his barge,only then did you confront fili,who left his injured brother to follow you around like a lost puppy. He stood close next to you,you could almost feel the heat radiating of him ,oh how you wished for warmth. Goosebumps mapped down your  bare arms like snow,even the barge man had looked at you in concern. You glanced at fili's frowning face, "Fili?" he had turned to look at you letting out an quiet 'hmm?' you had broken his thoughts of you,but you didnt know that."why do you seek to protect me ,when I dont need protecting. I thought you knew I didnt want to be treated like a burden." you had whispered not wanting the company hearing your petty moans.
Fili took his gaze off the icy lake ,looking at you like he didnt know what to say,he knew a bit over the top."its not like that,you aren't a burden...its just that..uhm"his flashes lightly with a blush. "fee,please..." your tone sincere and worried as you turned to him gripped his rough hands,you couldnt believe you had touched him you go got move your hands but again he keeps them in his hands. "the reason I'm like that is because you are my one y/n,its my duty to keep you safe,even if it costs my own life." he had looked away in embarrassment back to the cold water ,but you hand moved so you were directly infront of his lips ,pressing yours to his ,delivering a short kiss.
"if you die then I die with you,now keep me warm with those strong arms." and with that a chuckle left his mouth quiety as he cupped your cheeks pressing his lips to yours like you did he gasps in shock after. "god you are freezing,darn lucky im wearing two tunic?"
"you are wearing two? I would have took one earlier ,Ijust didnt want you to be cold. seriously everyone has seen my nipples through my vest." you groaned in annoyance but fili soon shedded one of his tunics putting on you ,you thank him before he wraps his muscular arms around your body,as you both look out to the lake. However the whole company had watched in awe.
You already know you have the princes and Thorin you also know fili gonna get hella jealous when you have to pretend to court bard in about 0.03 seconds.
Sable Skirts (III)
First Night
Summary: Keris has an unwelcomed visitor.
Note/Warning: So this is a fic I’m reposting from ao3. It’s a dark!Thorin Oakenshield/OC fic. It’s very dark, like super. It includes violence, noncon, and overall a bad time. Please mind that warning. Let me know what you think (I’ll be posting a few a day until I catch up)
THIS CHAPTER INCLUDES VIOLENCE AND NON-CON. PLEASE BE CAREFUL!
This is dark!Thorin Oakenshield and explicit. 18+ only.
The knocking repeated and Keris could hear the faint shift of the heavy doors being pulled open. She listened through the closed door, staunch footsteps stomping across the foyer. Faintly, Dorina spoke in her sultry way, her dusky voice greeting the visitor. She had thought it to be late; Caina had suggested that all those who had been expected had already arrived.
A deep voice, familiar and resounding, startled her as it called out angrily. “Where is she?” The king boomed.
“Who?” Keris could guess Dorina’s following inquiry even as it was muffled through the wood.
“That little wench who was writing those damned treasonous lies.” Keris froze, leaning against the door.
“She’s just arrived, your majesty.” Dorina’s voice was closer, footsteps sounding at the  entrance of the corridor. “We just got her cleaned up--”
“I don’t care if you just painted her pink and purple,” He interjected, “Where is she?”
“She’s here, she’s here, just one moment while I get her.” Dorina’s voice gave an unusual quaver of fear.
Keris forced herself away from the door. She braced herself before she turned the knob and urged her slippered feet into the hallway. Dorina nearly collided with her as she exited, grabbing her by the wrists. “There you are, girl. Hiding like a little rat!”
“Let me go,” Keris tugged her arms away from the Mistress, “I can find my own way.”
“It’s that trite tongue that’s got the king so mad,” She hissed, “I’ve never seen him so incensed.”
“Likely because you only see him without his trousers,” Keris replied. She was practicing on Dorina, knowing the king to be a more formidable foe. She needed to find her wit before she met him. “Now, please. Since he is so intent upon my blood.”
Keris marched past Dorina who pressed herself to the wall, horrified at the insolence of her newest charge. She could see the king’s figure at the end of the hallway, pacing the stone floor of the front room. Her chest seized but she couldn’t show her fear. Truly, what worse could he do? Take her to the block? She was starting to think it the wiser choice.
She stepped into the light of the foyer, King Thorin stopped as he spotted her. His face wrinkled with confusion. Her face was hidden by the veil and he must have thought her another. Until the realization washed over him.. In an instant, his brow was lowered and he was charging towards her. His hand rose but paused, rescinding as he looked around himself. Dorina was watching from the corridor and several other dams were on chaises, with guests or various instruments, either for sewing or music.
He shook his head as if shedding an unseen mask. He swallowed and took a step back, looking down at the ghostly figure before him. Consideration narrowed his eyes and his pressed his lips together. He looked to Dorina as machination brewed within.
“Ahem, Mistress,” He called formally. His ire had slaked away and Dorina smiled as she neared, a sensual bow directed at the king, “Is there somewhere I may speak with your…” He exhaled as he thought, “White veil?”
“Yes, your majesty,” She answered eagerly, “Right this way.”
Dorina directed him to the east corridor, swaying her hips as she walked ahead of him. He motioned for Keris to precede him, which she did hesitantly. She could feel his eyes boring into her back. She could only imagine what he had in mind. Without his nephews and lords watching, he could beat her to his heart’s content. He could do it in front of his court if he so wished. She was after all, a criminal.
“The first white veil since your father’s reign, your majesty,” She said over her shoulder, “I understand her misdeeds but it is special indeed.”
“Unexpected, to say the least,” Thorin agreed but said nothing else.
Dorina stopped before a door, knocking before she opened it. She pulled a key from her corset, smiling at the king as she turned to him. “The room is yours.” He took it with a grunt and nudge Keris inside before slamming the door behind him. She turned in preparation for his assault but he merely watched her. His eyes didn’t leave her as he sat in the armchair, his air of regality never faltered.
“I was eagerly awaiting your turn at the block this evening when my Lord of the Chamber informed me of the change in plans. He, of course, is free to judicial license but I never expected this. Why, who would want to share a bed with a treasonous rat like yourself?” His voice was dangerous, “To tell it true, I came to drag you back to your cell. To bring the ax down myself.”  He paused in contemplation, rubbing his chin with his fingers for a moment. He tilted his head slyly. “Go on, take the veil off.”
It was Keris’ only shield, hiding the fear bubbling in her stomach. She slowly reached up and flipped the veil back, revealing her face as she stilled her nerves. She lowered her hand, wanting to bunch her skirts in her fingers but she held them straight at her side.
“You don’t look so bad without all that dirt,” He remarked with a snort, “Almost like a proper dam.” He stood and she fought not to flinch. He neared, his eyes never leaving her face. He reached up and took the ends of the veil in his fingers, tugging so that the headdress came off, letting it fall to the floor. “You don’t look like a mountain dwarrow.”
“My mother was of Erebor,” She snarled, “My father was Crowfoot.”
“Hmm, explains such a seditious heart,” He said as he took a shank of her hair in his hand, feeling the silky strands between his fingers. “But I thought a ‘ Crowsfool’ wench would be better learned in the sheets. At least I’ve heard they are. Never had the pleasure of taking one myself.” Keris bit her cheeks, wanting to raise a hand to the king but resisting the urge. If she hit him, she would surely be dead.  “Until now,” He let go of her hair and spun on his heel. He ripped open the door and called to Dorina onces more, “Five thousand gold for the white veil.”
“Five?” She peeked past him as Keris gulped. She felt the colour drain from her. She had been prepared to subject herself to an unloving buyer; she could close her eyes and wait for it to be over. Something about the king’s urgency and the anger which had driven him to the sable skirts had her terrified. He could do whatever he wanted and he surely didn’t need to pay coin to do so.
“Ten,” He said flatly, “She’s hardly worth all that.”
“She’s yours, your majesty. I shall leave you--”
“No, she comes with me,” He interrupted, “I prefer my chambers. Come, harlot.”
The king waved over his shoulder but Keris couldn’t move. He continued into the chamber, dropping the key into Dorina’s hand. The Mistress glared at her and crossed to pick up her veil, pulling it back over her face. She hissed another insult under her breath and forced Keris out the door. She knew she didn’t have a choice; this was what she had been dreading but it had turned out so much worse than she could have ever imagined. Perhaps he was going to kill her.
The great red doors were pulled open and he strutted into the corridor, turning to the silvercloak awaiting him. “Make her hurry up, will you? She is walking entirely too slow.”
The burly red-headed guard obeyed without question. He touched the hilt of his sword and grabbed her elbow. “Walk or I’ll give you reason to run.”
She did not dare look back. Leaving the den of sable skirts was hardly a big loss, though she faced a worse fate. She watched the king’s back as she followed him, scurrying to keep with the guard’s pace. It wasn’t until they stopped before a set of oak doors carved with the image of an immense dragon that she noticed how tightly she had balled her skirt in her hands or that she was trembling. She steeled herself, forcing her fingers apart as the doors opened.
The king led Keris inside, the guard shoving her through as she took pause. The door slowly closed behind her, locking her inside alone with Thorin. Her legs couldn’t hold her. They were going to collapse and she would be a puddle on the floor. She willed herself to stay upright, watching as the king headed for a door to her left. He grabbed the handle and looked over his shoulder; his eyes were on fire.
“Well,” He said, “Before I come over and drag you myself.”
Keris gulped and hurried towards him, glad the veil was back in place to hide her dread. He stood back to let her enter first. As she stepped into the next room, a stunning force knocked her off her feet and onto her knees. She barely caught herself before her head met with the stone. The king had smacked her rear so hard that she had tears in her eyes. She heard the door click shut and she was pulled up by the back of her dress.
“Get up,” He released her. She wanted badly to reached back and cradle her sore bottom. Instead she distanced herself from the king and turned so that he could not sneak up on her. “The wine’s in the case,” He pointed towards several glass shelves set into the stone wall. “Grab two glasses. You’ll be needing it.”
The subtle threat made her chest hollow. She gritted her teeth and focused on the wine, taking a bottle from the shelf and two silver goblets from the dozen or so below. The silver clinked as her hand involuntarily shook and she set them before Thorin carefully, placing the bottle beside them.
“Well, do you not know how to pour wine?”
She inhaled deeply and glared at him through her veil. Her hands balled into fists. She wanted badly to pour the bottle over his head. Better yet, to smash it on his skull. Leave him unconscious in his own wine. She grasped the neck of the bottle but did not move to lift it.
“If you’re going to glare at me, it’s best to lose the veil,” He chided, “And better for your aim if you do intend on trying to club me.”
She let out her breath in defeat, loosening her grip and uncorking the bottle. She poured silently, filling only one glass. Wine didn’t seem such a good idea. Maybe it would dull her senses and make it all more tolerable but her gut told her better of it. She set down the bottle and king lifted the glass. He looked at it as if admiring the sheen of the silver and placed it across from him before the other chair at the table. “Sit. Drink. And for Mahal’s sake,” He stood, grabbing her arm as he forced her to obey, “Take this off.”  He once more tore off her veil, tossing it into the hearth to burn. He pushed her down onto the chair and edged the goblet closer. “Drink before I pour it down your throat myself.” He sat once more and poured himself a cup.
Keris drank as she watched him over the rim. He seemed to take amusement from her discomfort.  “They say it hurts for a dam the first time,” He wiped away a droplet of wine from his lips as he spoke. “They bleed, too. I figure you’ll be wearing a red dress soon enough so I guess it would be appropriate.”  Keris couldn’t help but choke on her wine, sputtering as she covered her mouth with her hand. She kept most of it down, though her nostrils burned with alcohol. The king laughed and it stoked her anger. She looked into her glass, half the wine still there. Whatever she did, he was going to make her suffer. She may as well put up her best fight.
She threw out her arm, the wine splashing across the king’s face and down his chest. She stood as she readied for his reaction. He was stunned, silent, sitting as his eyes widened at her. His mouth curled dangerously and he put his palms flat on the table, pushing himself to his feet. He came towards her and she backed away, her skirts tangling between her legs.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ TRIGGER WARNING
She dodged as he tried to grab her, pulling out her chair to place between them. Thorin ripped it from her grip and seized her by the throat. “You dumb wench,” He lifted her, a hand on her waist and slung her over his shoulder. “This didn’t have to go like this.”
He flipped her onto the bed. She turned over and began crawling to the other side. He caught her foot and dragged her back with one hand. She could hear him unbuckling his belt. She clawed at the covers but they merely gathered under her hands. She kicked her leg, failing to shed the king’s iron grasp. He turned her onto her back, pushing her skirts up as she struggled.
He climbed onto the the bed and she lashed out with her arms, scratching his cheek before he caught her wrists and pinned them over her head. She felt his other hand fumbling lower, her legs held apart between his. He was on top of her, his face just above her. She snapped up at him with her teeth and he pulled away. He released her arms to strike her across the face. She grunted, her head spinning from the force of the blow.
She weakly tried to push him away as she looked down to see what he was doing. She tried to sit up as he pulled his member from his pants and positioned himself before her entrance. He pushed her back down, holding her with his forearm across her chest as the tip of his cock pressed against her lips. She gripped his arm, unable to shift his weight from atop her, begging him to stop.
He looked at her, smirking at her pleas and pushed inside her. The pain radiated from within, up her spine and down her legs. She nearly screamed but stifled it to a sharp whimper. He thrust again and tears were in her eyes. She sniffed and forced them back. She couldn’t cry. She could scream and shout, but she wouldn’t cry in front of him.
Thorin continued to thrust, harder and harder. He removed his forearm, raising himself slightly as he worked against her furiously. His hands closed around her neck as he began to groan. He squeezed tighter and tighter as he buried himself deeper and deeper. Keris’ vision hazed as the pain came duller and duller. Her hands were on Thorin’s but she was too weak to close her fingers around them.
When she was about to pass out, he released her throat and gripped her hips. She was no longer struggling against him but for a breath of air. He rammed into her sharply and she yelped, warmth filling her as he slowed, removing himself from her with a satisfied sigh.
“Take that dress of,” He ordered as he bent to unlace his boots, “Now.”
Keris was shaking so bad she could barely move. She sat up and crawled to the end of the bed. She removed the one slipper remaining to her and slowly reached for her skirts, pulling them up and over her head. She was so weak she could barely think. She could only feel Thorin’s hand around her neck as if it was still there. Her throat burned and she coughed. As she dropped her dress to the floor, she saw the red which had stained the skirts. She reached down to touch herself, her hand coming away with a mixture of blood and another, paler fluid.
She tried to stand and her legs collapsed beneath her. She suddenly had the idea to run. She had stripped herself but it occurred to her to leave before he could do anything worse. Feebly, Keris dragged herself towards the door but made it barely a foot before she was pulled back by her hair. She was lifted by her scalp, exclaiming as Thorin tossed her back onto the bed. He was on her as quickly as before, straddling her as she looked up at him. She flung out with an errant fist and he caught it. She eyed his thick arms, his broad chest; he was much too strong for her.
“The pain is suppose to get better the more you do it,” He mused, reaching below himself to touch her, his finger slipping between her lips and finding her entrance. He pushed inside and wiggled around. “Let’s see if that’s true.”
He inserted another finger, thrusting in and out as she held her breath, pushing helplessly on his chest. He smacked away her hand as he tired of toying with her and once more lined himself up, thrusting into her so hard she swore. She dug her nails into his arms as he cupped her breasts trying to make him stop. He merely chuckled and continued, relishing in her resistance.
“Don’t worry,” He grunted as he leaned closer, “I like it when you fight.”

Theincaprincess request
I'm going to give a big challenge (evil laugh) take as long as you like with this darling, so can I have these?
377. ‘What happened here?” 358. ‘It’s not what it looks like.’ 27 “I want to go home.” “And I want to go to the moon. It ain’t happening sweetheart. Time to accept that.” 99 “Rule number one: don’t bother sucking up. I already hate you, that’s not going to change.” 387 “That’s a little melodramatic, 237. “this is all a fucking disaster.”
With Thranduil paring and throw in a friendship with Thorin just for the drama hahaha please :D and I really don't mind how long it takes darling, so take your time :D <3
Slowly you let out the long exhale you had been holding since arriving in this darkened forest. In the deep warm waters of the hot spring you had been granted in your lavish cell in the Royal Wing you relaxed closing your eyes to the sound of the playing wind up music box you had set up, enjoying the soft tune easing the troubles of your spider infested entrance into these lands. Thorin, for all his attributes had rightly found himself butting heads with the Elven King who had confined each of you inside his keep until Thorin would grant him what he wanted in return for aid. But free from the webs, dead leaves and twigs knotted in your mud caked pale golden hair and softly glowing freshly scrubbed skin you let your body untense completely.
The splash and sigh from another body entering the spring however ended all that and made you turn to the very King that had been just inches from your face not an hour ago. With wide eyes you barked out, “Excuse you!”
A turn of his head widened his eyes in a deep inhale, “Why are you here?! Who are you?!” His eyes scanned over your pale glowing hair and face trying to place you without any luck past the familiar shade of pale blue eyes from the Elleth he had interrogated earlier with deep brown matted hair.
“What am I-?! I am bathing in the room I was gifted! What are you-!”
“Your room?! Clearly you missed the rest of the apartment you walked through to get here! How did you get in here?!”
“I am in the room the guard escorting me back from your interrogation told me was mine! Now you’re just going to have to leave!”
At that his brows furrowed, “I’m going to have to leave?! This is my spring, my Kingdom in fact! You leave!”
“Oh that is not happening!”
His brows tightened another notch as he asked, “Excuse me?!”
“I have spent months bathing with those Dwarves and not once have I been able to gain a moment’s peace since leaving Rivendell, or get a bath without someone trying to climb on my shoulders in some bathing game. So either you leave or you’re just going to have to split it with me because I’m not leaving until I am fully relaxed and ready to sleep.” Your arms crossed over your chest with a glare of your own sitting back on the under water bench as he sent you a fiery glare in return.
“You realize I could have you thrown out of here with one shout to my guards.”
“Yes but then you’ll have to face the fact that you faced an honest mistake with brute force.” Your response made him roll his eyes, “Besides, on top of that You’re naked and wet I bet I could get one good shove in granting me a head start, then it’s only a question of why the naked King is chasing the naked Prisoner through the Palace.” He narrowed his eyes at you through another exhale as you added, “Oh it’s not like you don’t have the room. It’s a good ten feet between us, so you keep your half and I’ll keep mine.”
Without being able to respond his door opened and your heads turned to the Prince walking through the doorway, passing the King’s clothes in a pile on the floor in the hall, “Ada, all the Dwarves are in their apartments and the next wave of patrols are out but-.”
His eyes scanned between you at opposite ends of the spring with his mouth agape under a curious furrow of his brows making the King state, “It’s not what it looks like.”
With a pointed gaze at the Prince you added, “Oh it’s exactly what it looks like.”
Making the King glare at you again, “It is not!”
You added, “Oh it is. I was simply relaxing in what I assumed to be my room and he comes in here all furrowed and puffed up barking orders when I am simply hoping for a moments peace.”
Legolas pointed at his Father, “He is the King.”
“I am not debating that. I am simply questioning the logic behind finding yourself in a tub where a naked woman is already relaxing and increasing the tension purposely.”
Thranduil, “I did nothing of the sort.”
You turned your head to look at him, “Oh but you did, Your Majesty.” His eyes narrowed again at your mock head bow and exaggerated tone through his title.
“As soon as I get out of this spring I’m writing to Lord Elrond asking if you gave him such troubles.”
“Oh! If I had gotten into this situation in Rivendell I wouldn’t know because the Elves were so busy running around trying to get the naked Dwarves back into their assigned courtyard for their instrument lessons.”
“So you’re the group he complained about bathing in his sacred fountains!”
“First!” His eyes lowered to your finger pointing at him for a moment then rose to your eyes again when it sank under the water, “In their defense that fountain is massive. For all they knew it was a manmade lake with a wall around it and a statue in the middle.”
Thranduil, “It had a wall around it! What sort of lakes do you know have walls around it?!”
“Beavers build Dams all the time!”
His eyes narrowed again as the Prince covered his mouth hiding his amused smirk at your argument, “You did not just call Lord Elrond a beaver!!”
Sarcastically you retorted, “Oh yes that’s it word for word what I just said!!! Of course not! I am simply stating dams are a natural occurrences where walls are found around lakes!”
“I am informing him of this!”
“Oh Yes! Please do!! You know what, keep the spring I will search room by room until I find mine just to rid myself of your nonsensical interpretation of my words!” Your hands planted on the edge and you raised yourself up out of the spring where you wrung out your hair meeting the stunned Prince’s eyes, “I do apologize Prince Legolas for your being wrangled into this. I’ll take my things and leave you to your Father’s company.”
Thranduil stated, “You are not taking anything! Your belongings have to be searched!”
In a half turn to him you smirked making the Prince cover his mouth again, “Of course. I will simply walk naked through the Royal Wing until I find my room.”
Before he could say anything you passed the Prince walking to the door making him hop out and wrap himself in his towel, holding his robe as he walked after you gaining the Prince and Tauriel, who eyed you curiously when you opened the door.
Hastily the King stated, “It isn’t what it looks like.”
Again you replied, “It is exactly what it looks like!” Then brushed past her, she stepped aside watching the Royals pass her and joined along with an amused grin as you opened the first door hearing a grunt, “Sorry Nori!” Each door after you stated the names of the Dwarves you encountered.
Thranduil, “Just take my robe!” Glaring at each guard along your cocky strutting path.
“Oh no! I can’t possibly have any cover, I could be hiding something!” By now you had gained the attention of the Dwarves that all popped their heads out of their rooms with amused smirks at the irritated King behind you when they guessed your accidental mix up.
Kili especially draped himself in the doorway of his door nodding his head at Tauriel in his flexing pose in his shirtless state while saying, “Yours is at the end of the hall Lass.” Before glancing at Tauriel to ask, “Here to finish searching me as well?” With a wink she rolled her eyes through.
With a grin you replied, “Thank you Ki.” Making a half turn walking backwards avoiding the robe the King was trying to pass you in your quickening pace, “See, someone at least has the forethought to lead me back finally.” You turned again to the door you hastily opened and stated, “Good Night Your Majesty.”
With a firm slam your door blocked him from you only to have him shout out, “You will not slam doors in my Kingdom!”
Rapidly your door opened and you replied, “And what happens if I do?”
“I will see to it you have no doors to slam.” He replied with a cocky grin.
With a smirk you replied, “Then get used to seeing me naked. You take my doors all my clothes will conveniently go missing along with everyone elses in this wing. If you didn’t mind spending a century with the Company just imagine what secrets their layers have been hiding from those pretty blues of yours.”
His lips parted and you slammed the door again only to have him growl through an exhale, clenching his fists in his turn back to his room barking out, “I will speak to you in the morning when you have come to your senses!”
Opening your door you fired back, “I would say the same to you but it will likely take much longer!” Slamming the door again after his freezing turn to glare back in your direction.
Sharply he drew in another breath muttering to himself ignoring the Dwarves looking on in his storming path back to his apartment as you went to your room finding Bilbo sitting on the chair by the fire in a gifted large robe as he pointed at the gifted gowns on the table to say, “I think I’m in the wrong room.”
You nodded, “Not a problem. I ended up in the King’s room somehow and he just had to get pissy about it.” Making Bilbo smirk as he watched you pull on the gifted clothes before you poked your head out spotting the still lingering Dwarves that guided Bilbo to his proper room after sharing they couldn’t remember their either. All just pulled on the gifted clothes and were waiting until their things were searched and brought to them to clear up where they were supposed to be assigned.
.
By morning you found yourself smirking at the still sternly tensed King that stared at you intently in return trying not to remember your figure under the fully covering gown you had been given to wear. But all the way to nightfall he had downed a bottle of wine in his fury at not getting any farther in convincing you to get Thorin on his side, a mood that soon bubbled over into his people at the Festival of Starlight. But in their inebriated state you managed to find your belongings and an escape route.
Tucked in the barrels you watched the Dwarves and Bilbo roll into the river below, a racing of boots however sent you sprinting across the wooden planks with a set of arms wrapped around your middle holding you in place. At least until your boots met the pillar beside you to kick off of sending the King falling onto his back then through the tilting wooden opening allowing you to crash into the waters below. Angrily and soaking wet the now painfully sober King glared at you as you threw a dagger at the lever holding the gates shut keeping you in the Elven Kingdom’s borders. Facing the King you stated, “Feel free to stay behind.” In your climb into the empty barrel he latched onto.
“You are not going alone! You will get us all killed!”
You raised a brow as he and his gangly limbs tried to squeeze into the same barrel as Tauriel and Legolas dropped in after him with smirks latching onto Bilbo’s and Kili’s barrels they sighed and climbed into as the rapids started to carry you all away. A distant shriek however had your glare drop making the King tense as you murmured, “Get down!” The Dwarves all followed the order, as did Bilbo, with the others following only after your reach down to pull the King’s knees out from under him to get him to hide in the barrel. His shouted argument died at your covering his mouth just moments before the shrill cries of the orc party searching the hills.
A rough jolt however left you slamming against his chest plate with a sharp gasp, black dots filled your vision as your eyes rolled back for a moment making him hold you against his chest when you went limp dropping onto his lap before the next jolt stirred your body to take another breath. Roughly you were slammed around clutching onto each other through the waves of cold water sloshing into and around in the barrel until your final clutching of each other in the stomach churning drop on the final waterfall ending with yet another splash and bob. Frozen together in the barrels you remained until you popped your head up with the help of the King pushing you up by his firm grip on your thighs.
With the all clear they all popped up to paddle to shore where you and the Prince pulled the stuck King out of the barrel. On the shore you all walked as the Dwarves rested, waiting for your scouting results. Behind you the Elves followed as Thranduil stated, “This is just ridiculous!”
In a turn to him you replied, “You were also in that barrel, as was your Son and Captain so take a minute before you start making barrel rider jokes Your Majesty!”
The shifting of rocks turned your head and urged you around the shore ahead where you spotted a Man with a bow drawn and aimed at Ori’s back in his cry of, “What happened here?”
Rapidly he let out a yelp when the rock you picked up crashed into his hand clutching his bow he dropped along with his arrow from the pain. Before he could bend to retrieve it he saw the Elf King glaring at him and two Elves around you with bows drawn and aimed at him making him bow his head stating, “King Thranduil, I did not see you.”
Flatly he stated, “Clearly not.” Stepping up beside you he looked down at him as you claimed his bow, sliding his arrow back into the quiver on his back, “You will take us to Esgaroth.”
Bard wet his lips, “Is the Master expecting you?”
Thranduil drew in a breath, “No, and if he enjoys breathing he should not speak to me today.”
Bard chortled, “I admire the thought but he rarely does as we wish he would Your Highness.”
In a glance at Bard he watched your swatting his hand away from taking his bow back from you that you were clearly holding for ransom. With the barrels loaded up on the boat you all sat around the edge across from the bargeman as Thorin glanced at you on his right to mumble in Khuzdul, “This is all a fucking disaster.”
With a raised brow you replied as you wove your hair into a painfully crooked braid making the Elf King’s brow twitch as he watched your fingers fumbling it together, you replied, “That’s a little melodramatic.”
In a glance between you the Elf King eyed his lean against your side for a nap as you tied a worn bit of woven string around the end of your long braid you eased over your shoulder. For the short ride he kept watch on the Dwarf snoring against your shoulder until he mumbled in Elvish, “In Esgaroth I will send for my men and you will return with us.”
In a glance at him you replied, “Not likely.”
He narrowed his eyes, “I want to go home. It is safe in my lands.”
“And I want to go to the moon. It ain’t happening sweetheart. Time to accept that. And spiders certainly don’t make one feel safe in your lands.” With a sigh he looked you over as you added, “We are continuing on, you are welcome to head home if you wish.”
“I am not leaving you to this alone. Especially with the Master and his band of scoundrels.”
With a smirk you replied, “And what will they do, jump into my tub with me?”
He sighed through a firm gaze at you, “They will try to do far more than that.”
“Then the Bargeman over there will have more room to claim as his own for each Man trying to touch me.”
Firmly he stated, “They wouldn’t dare.”
Curiously Bard looked on eyeing your strange group until he looked ahead to the first station of watchmen all looking on at your group while they filled the barrels in front of you with fish before you made your way to the floating city. Upon docking however all eyes turned to the Elf King when he stood locking eyes on the groveling Man clad in black formerly threatening Bard with dumping the fish out. With a firm glare Thranduil stated, “Rule number one, don’t bother sucking up. I already hate you. That’s not going to change.”
With mouths agape they all watched your group all walking to Bard’s home across the floating city with all eyes following you curiously. Even past the Master you walked past without a word, only a glare from the soaking wet Elf King aimed at the Men daring to look your way. Inside the wooden home you eyed the trio of Children all looking on at you curiously while their Father still tried to take his bow from you again only to have his bruised hand swatted as you said, “Not until you take us to shore.”
His lips parted only to close at the glare from the King silencing him to a nod, “Of course. I will take you first thing in the morning.”
.
Slowly as the sun was setting the Dwarves were sprawled out asleep on every available surface, half dressed as you sat in a warm robe Bard had loaned you as your clothes dried while the Elf King sat wrapped in a towel matching his Son’s as Tauriel were comfortable in clothes borrowed from Bard’s Children. With arms crossed Thranduil glanced at you as you sipped on your tea beside him and asked, “Do you have a plan at least?”
Lowering your mug for a moment you caught his eyes and shrugged making Legolas and Tauriel hide their smirks with their own mugs of tea at the King’s tensing and furrowed brows asking, “Did you just shrug? Tell me you have a plan!”
You turned your head to meet his eyes, “I will see when I get there. Same plan that got us this far.”
His lips parted, “Half naked in a floating ice coated city of Men?! What good does that do us?!”
With a smirk you replied, “Well it got you in a towel again. Good plan so far.” Making his lips part again as Bilbo snorted trying to hold back his laughter between the snickering Elves around him while Bard stole another glance at his bow pinned under your crossed legs as he iced his hand.

Imagine: Being in love with Kili, but he falls for Tauriel instead of you.
Request: @nekodemon73 “Can I please request a Kili x reader where reader loves/likes Kili but he still falls in love with Tauriel and is oblivious to her liking him.”
Warnings: BOTFA SPOILERS! Angst, violence, etc.
A/N: Also, sorry if the final scenes are not accurate, I didn’t watch them properly during the movie because I was dying and I refuse to rewatch them.
You’re locked in the same cell as Fili in Mirkwood, and you watch Kili flirt with the beautiful elf woman who saved you from the spiders, Tauriel, “Aren’t you going to search me, I could have anything down my trousers.”
You groan and roll you eyes, sinking down to the ground, as Fili chuckles at your misery. You had been crushing on the youngest Durin for months now, and it was obvious to every single person in the company except Kili himself.
A few hours passed and Tauriel came back down, inspecting the cells, you don’t think much of it, until she stops by Kili, “The stone in your hand, what is it?”
“Why does she care?” You mumble, causing Fili to laugh at you once again.
“It is a talisman, a powerful spell lies upon it, if anyone but a dwarf reads the runes on this stone, they will be forever cursed,” He says, instantly pointing the stone at Tauriel. You let out a soft chuckle; okay...maybe he doesn’t like her.
“Or not,” He quickly adds, stopping her from walking away. You sink back to the ground, sighing, or not...
He proceeds to tell her the story about how his mother gave him the stone and you try your best to tune them out. You get back to up a few minutes later to look at them, Kili has a genuine look in his eyes, he definitely likes her.
Fili notices the sadness in your eyes, and he gently places a hand on your shoulder, “Get some rest Y/N.”
You nod and make your way to the other side of the cell, eventually drifting off.
You’re staying back in Lake-town with Fili and Kili while the rest of the company headed off to Erebor. You sit next to Kili, holding his hand in attempts to comfort him, but you know nothing’s going to help at this time. You and Fili keep exchanging worried glances, you can tell he’s thinking the same thing as you, Kili has to make it through this...
Before you know what’s happening, Orcs are surrounding Bard’s house and you, Fili, and Bofur are trying everything you can to keep them away from Kili and the children, until suddenly Legolas and Tauriel come in, eventually succeeding in driving the Orcs away. Legolas leaves shortly after, but Tauriel decided to stay behind.
As much as you want Kili to be alright, you wish it was someone else healing him, anyone else. You and the others hold him down as Tauriel begins singing some chants, holding the medicine to Kili’s leg. He stops struggling and he stares dreamily up at her.
You walk to the other end of the room as Tauriel finishes covering his wound. His voice suddenly catches your attention, “Tauriel...”
She stares at him kindly, “Lie still.”
“You cannot be her, she is far away, sh-she is far far away from me. She walks in starlight in another world. It is just a dream,” He reaches for her hand and it feels like he’s tearing your heart out, “Do you think she could love me?”
You feel a sob choking your throat, and you get up and walk out of the house. Fili quickly follows you, “Y/N...?”
You bury your head in his neck and finally let your tears flow.
Smaug has been defeated and you are making your way to the boat that will lead you to Erebor, when Kili suddenly stops and turns to Tauriel.
“They are your people,” She says as Fili calls his brother, “You must go.”
Kili stops her again, “Come with me.”
You take a sharp breath, urging yourself not to cry again, “I know how I feel, I’m not afraid. You make me feel alive.”
Your heart races and your heart begs you to stop eavesdropping. Tauriel turns away from him once again, “I can’t.”
He reaches out to her, “Tauriel, armalime.”
You let out a choked sob, but try to cover it up with a cough. You finally turn away, having heard enough, and wishing you hadn’t heard any of it.
Kili eventually joins you back in to boat and you refuse to look at him, knowing you won’t be able to hold your tears back if you do. You keep your eyes focused on the water, oblivious to the sympathetic looks Oin, Fili, and Bofur keep shooting you. Kili finally takes a break from rowing and sits next to you, “Y/N, are you alright?”
“I’m fine,” Your voice comes out more bitterly than intended.
“Aw come on,” He nudges playfully. Mahal, just stop Kili! Leave me alone, please, “Where’s that adorable smile?”
“Shove off Kili,” You enunciate, irritably. His face falls and he decides it would be best to leave you alone.
The battle is in full force and you realize what Azog is planning. You rush up to the cliff where Fili’s fighting against the Orcs. The Orc is about to stab your best friend when you push him out of the way. The sword grazes the side of your stomach and the two of you tumble off the cliff, landing in front of Kili.
“Fili! Y/N!” Kili kneels next to you, and helps you two up. He touches your burning side, “Y/N, you’re bleeding...”
“I’m fine Kili,” You mutter.
The three of you fight side by side; Tauriel eventually joins you as well, while Legolas helps Thorin. You see an Orc sneaking up behind Kili.
“NO!” You scream, pushing him out of the way. The Orc stabs you, deep enough to cause an incredible amount of pain, but not enough to damage any vital organs.
“Y/N!” Fili and Kili yell, Fili kills the Orc and Kili rushes up to support you.
“I’m fine, I’m fine!” You hiss, pain spreading through your body.
You continue fighting, watching as Thorin gets Azog under the ice. He’s following the Orc’s body and you realize that he’s making a mistake. You rush down the cliff you’re stand on and make your way to help Thorin. Azog stabs his foot and comes out from under the ice, and comes face to face with you, “Get out of the way girl!”
You stand your ground as he steps closer.
Kili’s POV We’ve finally managed to kill of all the Orcs around us and we’re standing frozen in fear as Azog approaches Y/N, she lets out a gut wrenching scream just as Uncle stabs Azog from behind. Azog falls and Uncle looks back at us victoriously. Fili and I let out a cheer, and I see Y/N smiling painfully, her hands are clutching her stomach. Suddenly she falls to the ground and Uncle turns to her, rush up and kneeling next to her.
Fili and I exchange a look and run down to her. A smile crosses her pain stricken expression when she looks up at me. She brings a bloody, shaking hand up to my face, “K-Kili...”
“Shh,” I cradle her in my arms, “Don’t say anything Y/N, you’re going to be okay. The eagles are coming, just keep your eyes open.”
“W-will you let me...let me speak f-for once,” She laughs painfully, “Kili, you-you’re finally home. Promise me that...that you’ll be happy, p-promise me that you’ll take care of yourself.”
“Y/N please-”
“Promise me Kili,” She whispers.
I nod and take her hand, trying to hold back my tears, “I promise.”
“Kili...? C-can you kiss me...?” Her question breaks my heart. I instantly lean down and gently press my lips to hers, when I pull back she smiles, behind the tears, the happiness is clear in her eyes, “I love you Kili, I’ve always loved you, and I will always love you.”
She closes her eyes and her body goes limp, no, “Y/N?! Y/N! NO Y/N STAY WITH ME!”
I shake her body, trying to wake my best friend, “Y/N please! Look Y/N, the eagles are here! You’re going to be okay! T-the eagles...”
My voice breaks and the sobs take over my body, knowing there is nothing I can do anymore. She’s gone.
End.

Request # 3 by @bee-wrecker : Maybe human reader x legolas where he sees a human, still learning archery but already has a passion for the sport?
Master Lists: Drabbles/Imagines, and Completed Series
A/N: I decided to tackle three requests at once. Now I’m down to 37. Sorry if y’all don’t like it anons but I tried! ALSO THOSE WHO WANT TO BE TAGGED ON MY TAG LIST, INCLUDING THOSE THAT WERE TAGGED ON MY FIRST TAG LIST, PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT TAG LIST YOU WANT TO BE TAGGED ON. THOSE ON MY OLD TAG LIST WILL NOT BE TAGGED UNLESS THEY TELL ME WHAT THEY WANT TO BE SORTED ON.
Also new tag list starts today.
You quickly grab an arrow from your quiver, notching it, and sending it flying into the large spider. How the hell did spiders get here? Especially these large bastards.
You continue shooting the spiders, collecting the arrows as you go.
“Y/n! Let’s move!” you hear Thorin call.
You pull out your last arrow before moving behind Thorin and running to get away from them. Thorin immediately stops and you almost collide into him. Thorin is looking up and you follow his gaze to find an elf sliding down a spider’s silk.
The blonde elf kills two spiders and you quickly pull your bow and arrow again, stepping in front of Thorin so that the elve stands a centimeter away from your tip. His eyes widen in surprise before he glares at you and pulls his string tighter.
“A human travelling with dwarves. What an interesting sight,” he says and you narrow your eyes at him before it catches movement in the back of him.
You quickly pull another arrow, notching it so that it was at an angle before moving an inch to the left and letting it fly to the two spiders about to attack the blonde elf.
He immediately puts his arrow down and looks at the two spiders in shock. You smirk at the fact that an elf did not hear a spider coming.
“Quick on your feet as well,” he mutters, before looking at you carefully as if perplexed.
“Search them.”
You try not to growl as your favorite bow gets taken away. You had gotten it from your father as a birthday gift and you treasured it. It was the last thing you had ever gotten for him as he had passed away a few weeks later while on a hunting trip. Since then, you started training yourself and while you were not on elf level, you considered yourself skillful. So had other villagers according to Thorin who had personally asked you to join on his quest. If a dwarf asked you to reclaim something sacred to him, you must’ve been very important.
“I would kindly ask that you do not damage them,” you say and you don’t realize that the blonde elf had stopped to look at you, “I received that as a gift from my father and it is very important to me.”
The elf searching you just ignores you and soon you are all herded like cattle to what you assume is going to be Mirkwood.
You silently walk next to the blonde elf. You didn't really like, but who are you to judge? You haven't even spoken to him yet.
“Very rarely do humans practice archery,” the blonde says and that surprises you. Was he really talking to you?
“You need to get out more than. A lot of humans practice archery. Archery is not subject to one race,” you reply, looking up at him.
You chose the wrong moment to look up as you trip on a tree root. You hear a snort as you catch yourself. You look up to the elf and he had a smile on his face causing you to smile as well.
“Y/n,” you say.
He looks down at you, smiling a bit as well.
“Legolas. Prince of the Woodland Realm,” he introduces and you quite liked his name but you scoff.
“Don’t seem so princley to me. I mean that blonde dwarf. Now he just oozes prince,” you joke and it seems he doesn’t get it because he looks offended.
“You’re comparing me to a dwarf?” Legolas asks, absolutely disgusted at the thought.
You shrug, turning forward. You make eye contact with Thorin and he narrows his eyes at you, a sign that you should shut up. You stick your tongue out at him, but nevertheless you decide to keep your mouth shut even when you are none to gently shoved into a cell.
Thorin is taken separately to talk to the king. You had a feeling that you were going to be up next. I mean, why wouldn’t you? You were a human travelling with 13 dwarves and a ho- wait a minute! Where was the hobbit?
You run to the bars, to see if you could spot the hobbit. You can't and you decide to call his name in case that gave him up.
Taking a seat on the bench, wondering how Bilbo was going to help you escape.
The little light you had disappears from the stone ceiling and you look at the doorway to find the prince.
You smile, sitting up.
“Couldn't resist my charming self?”
He shrugs before looking around and taking a seat in front of the stone steps in front of your cell.
“You are interesting I'll give you that,” he says and you smile.
“I'll take it,” you say, laying on your stomach and resting your head in your hands.
“What got you interested in archery?”
You smile at the memory of your father.
“My father did. He was very adamant on me learning to defend myself and archery was the way to go for me. It covers longer distances than swords do but it is very inaccurate depending on the skill of the archer. I myself am still learning but I am happy with my skill level.”
“You are very skilled indeed. I have yet to fire two arrows at once and hit the target. You shouldn't doubt yourself,” Legolas says looking at you kindly. You were starting to like this elf.
“My father used to say that,” you voice.
“You speak as if he does not walk this earth,” he replies and the smile slowly disappears from your face.
“He does not. He had died on a hunting trip a few years back. Attacked by orcs according to a few friends that were with him. They bought his body back to us and I don't think I've been the same since. I trained and trained and trained and I will continue to train until I know that I will make my father proud,” you tell him softly.
“I think you're doing just that,” he says and you look at him with a small smile on your face.
“If you'll excuse me,” he says, smiling at you before standing and leaving.
A few minutes later, you hear: “‘I think you're doing just that” followed by gagging noises. You roll your eyes at the nosy princes and decide to take a nap.
You don't think an hour has passed before you are woken up by doors being pulled open.
Another guard had opened the doors and was now waiting as if he wanted you to follow him.
“The King wants a word.”
You nod and stand, following the elf and taking Thorin’s passing word of “don't tell him anything” very seriously.
When you get to the King, he’s  pacing. Thorin must have really pissed him off if an elven king was pacing. This would probably not go well.
“Human. I offer you a proposition,” the King suddenly snaps, causing you to raise a brow.
“I offer you freedom of and only if you promise to return what is mine,” he says.
“And what is that exactly?”
“White germs of pure starlight. If you return them to me I-,”
“My lord!” An elf exclaims, running into the throne room.” The dwarves. They have escaped!”
You smile at the thought but you can't help but think about how you were supposed get out.
“Return them to me! Do not let them enter that mountain and return her to her cell!”
With that, your very short conversation with the elf king ends.
When you get back to your cell, you take a seat on the ground thinking about the rest of your life. You were most definitely going to spend it in here and you had no problem with it. You had no one left and no one would care what happened to you and you were okay with that.
You close your eyes and finish your nap.
You wake up to a hand on your arm and you lash out, punching the unknown thing in the nose.
Legolas reels back clutching his now bleeding nose.
“Oh goodness. I’m sorry,” you say and he shakes his head, using his sleeve to wipe the blood.
“Do not be. I should not have frightened you like that. You must hurry. We need to get going,” he says and that’s all you need to get up.
“Where are you taking me?” you ask quietly as you weave your way through the halls. You had a feeling that he was not allowed to be doing this and you did not want to get caught.
“I did not think that you would want to spend the rest of your life in the cells so I have come to collect you,” he says,  leading you outside by a river.
You smile at him, but then you frown.
“My-,” before you can finish your sentence, he reaches behind his back and brings out your bow and arrow. You smile at him and take it, grateful for the blonde elf and his quick thinking.
“You know, I didn’t like you in the beginning, but now you’re not so bad,” you say and he laughs.
“Couldn’t resist my charming self?”
You smile and roll your eyes.
“I suppose not. Still though, you’re still not oozing princely,” you reply.
“I’m still better than that dwarf in many ways,” he retorts and you raise a brow at him.
“I highly doubt that.”
“Would you like to find out? Many elfmaids seem to agree with me.”
You roll your eyes at his cockiness.
“The only reason they say that is because they’re forced to. Your father probably pays them.”
That earns you a shove and you laugh. You look to Legolas and he seems that he wasn’t that offended because he was smiling.
“Maybe, when this is all over, I’ll find out for myself,” you say and he looks down at you with a smile on his face.
“I would like that,” he says softly and give him a wide smile and you can’t help but think that elves were not so bad.

Stranger in Middle Earth
Anonymous asked: Hi,i LOVED your thorin insomnia imagine!!! Could u write a thorin imagine where the reader is from a different world (ours) and she goes on the quest & her and thorin dont like each other at first but by the end of the journey theyre in love? Sorry its so long. Also,pls make it AU where he,fili & kili survive BOTFA?? I cry everytime i watch the ending of that movie :,( Thank you! ♡
Here you go, anon! I do not own Thorin. He belongs to J.R.R.Tolkien.
Warnings: Angsty fluff! Violence, arguing, fluffy moments, BOFTA, Everybody lives AU
Pairings: Thorin Oakenshield x modern fem!reader
Tumblr media
You stared at Thorin in disbelief. “You want me to stay behind? No!” Thorin’s aqua eyes were watering. “Please, Y/N. I need you to stay here, in the safety of the mountain.” You shook your head vehemently. “No. I want to fight with you!” Thorin’s hand came up to cup your cheek. “Amrâlimê, I would love that, but I cannot risk losing you. Please, stay here.”
               "Promise me that you’ll come back,“ you whispered touching your forehead to his. "I promise I will try.” He pulled back and turned to leave the mountain. “Thorin!” He glanced back at you. “Kiss me.” He smiled and came back. “Of course.” His lips descended on yours and he kissed you like it could be the last time he’d get to do so.
               When the kiss was over, you were both breathless. “I love you, Y/N.” You hugged him and whispered that you loved him too. He left the mountain with his kin.  "Be safe,“ you said to no one in particular, your voice echoing through the empty halls of Erebor. You sat down on the throne and did the only thing you could do. Wait. While you waited, you thought back on how you ended up here. It was certainly not what you expected to happen when you woke up all those months ago.
*flashbacks*
               You felt the heat from the fire and your eyes snapped open. You instantly wished you hadn’t. The three creatures in front of you were some of the freakiest things you’d ever seen. "I must be dreaming,” you muttered to yourself. But it didn’t feel like a dream. You tried to move, but the sack you were in stopped you. Panic set in. Where were you and how did you get there? The only thing you knew was that you certainly weren’t at home and you wanted to be safe in your bed.
               It didn’t take long for you to be set free from your makes shift prison. Your (e/c) eyes met the blue ones of the dwarf that had cut you loose. “Who are you? What are you doing here?” His voice was sharp and full of distrust and even a little disdain. From that minute, you knew that you and Thorin Oakenshield were not going to get along. However, seeing as you had no idea where you were and could easily get lost, you made the decision to travel with the Company.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
               The journey with the Company earned you fourteen new friends and one disgruntled dwarf king. Now, you were in a cell in Mirkwood. With Thorin. You sat with your head against the walls and sighed heavily. “Will you stop that infernal noise?” he snapped at you, receiving a sharp glare in response. “No. I will make as much ‘infernal noise’ as I want. It is YOUR fault we’re stuck in here. Why? Because you can’t swallow your pride and make a deal to get us out of here! From where I sit, you’re as pompous as he is and you deserve to listen to any and every annoying sound I choose to make!”
               "You are infuriating! How could I ever have let myself develop feelings for such a -“ he stopped short, realizing what he’d just said. You felt yourself blushing. Instead of responding, you fished your phone from your pocket and began tossing it up in the air and catching it. The battery had died long before then and by this point, you were certain you were never getting home.
               Thorin came and plopped down next to you. He rested his elbows on his knees and put his head in his hands. Feeling sorry for him, you stopped what you were doing and rested a hand on his shoulder. "I’m sorry, Thorin. I didn’t mean to snap. I’m just…exhausted and stressed, just like everyone else.” He picked his head up and reached a hand up to grab yours. “I understand. I know I have not shown my feelings properly and for that, I ask your forgiveness. I did not expect anything to get in the way of my mission and then you came along and I found myself distracted.”
               "Sounds irritating,“ you joked, earning a soft chuckle. Thorin brought your hand to his lips and kissed your knuckles. "It is, although perhaps, I don’t mind a little bit of irritating distraction.” You giggled and met his gaze. Now, when you looked at him, you could see the emotion in his eyes that you couldn’t place earlier. You thought it was hatred or annoyance because no one had ever looked at you that way before. But no, it was love and admiration.
*end flashbacks*
               You smiled at the memories. Even throughout his spell of gold sickness, you had seen the love when Thorin looked at you. True, it had been buried deep, but it was still there. When he’d snapped out of it, he came to you first. He had fallen to his knees and apologized over and over. You had simply kissed him and assured him that you still loved him. Then, he’d told you that he and the others were going to fight and that he wanted you to remain in the mountain.
               You could hear the ruckus of the battle outside and you wanted nothing more than to pick up a sword and fight like Dwalin had taught you. Still, you knew it would distract Thorin if you were to appear on the battlefield, so you stayed put even though it nearly killed you.
               After hours upon hours of battle sounds, the world outside grew quiet. You could almost hear the tunnels of Erebor talking to you. They say no news is good news, but in all honesty, you didn’t believe it at that moment. You wanted to hear about the outcome of the battle. Was Thorin alive? What about the others? Was Azog victorious or would dwarves, men and elves be celebrating soon?
               Just as you were beginning to believe the wait would kill you, you heard footsteps. Your heart sped up so much, you thought it would beat right out of your chest. You reached for the dagger Thorin had given you and prepared to defend yourself if necessary. You breathed a sigh of relief when you realized it was Thorin limping toward you.
               You dropped the dagger and ran to him. “Thorin!” You threw your arms around him and he squeezed you close. “Y/N, my love. You’re safe.” You were crying into his shoulder. “Me? You were the one fighting. What about the others? Are they alright?” Thorin pulled back and used his thumb to wipe away the tears from the apples of your cheeks. “They are fine, Amrâlimê. We have won.” You laughed through your tears and kissed him. You didn’t care that he was covered in blood, dirt and grime. He was alive and that was all that mattered. He was alive.
(a/n: I apologize for the angst, but I hope you enjoy it.)
Imagine Thranduil being your father, and you liking Thorin Oakenshiel.
Thorin x elf reader
Extra information: kili , fili nor Thorin die in the five armies
Tumblr media
Warnings: nudity just boobs, uh slight mention to boner city x 2, plus smut indicated, pregnancy. Crude language.
(Ps I am virgin So sorry. But I have seen 12 year olds write some shit , I am 16)
Translations from elvish:
Dôl lín cofn=empty headed
Lýgion= son of snakes
***
It had been a year since the dwarves had been put in the cells of Mirkwood, and then escaped. A certain dwarven king had caught your eye that night , even with his hatred for elves he had looked your way two. You swore you saw his lips twitch up for a second. You had tried to reason with your father to let them go.
You looked at the dwarf with sorrow in your eyes and back you father. You began to speak,
“Ada I’m sure if you let them go you would have more of a chance to ge-“ before you could even finish , Thranduils head snapped towards you with disgust written on his face.
You didn’t look like your brother nor father you had e/c eyes , h/c h/l hair, plus you were female and you didn’t hate dwarfs. Your know was yet to make friends with Gimil.
“Do you not know of the stubbornness of dwarves y/n? They are Dôl lín cofn. Lýgion.” Your father basically spat at you , harshly making you flinch. Thorin noticed , he felt anger towards your father, he would never do that to his kin.
“Ada please. You will not help others reclaim their homes? I think they would be gratefu-“ yet again Thranduil frustration with you cut you off.
“You do not have an right in this matter , what did I tell you about getting involved. Leave.” You father hadn’t been your father since your mother had died. Legolas was more a father to you. Your eyes became glossy at his words, yet you didn’t move.
Frozen in your spot,you decided on whether to stay in Mirkwood or to flee with the dwarves and help them. You would have to say goodbye to your brother.
“Did you not hear me? Y/N LEAVE NOW.” Tears now streaming down your cheeks like a volcano.
Thorin felt sympathy for you, he saw that you really did want to help.
You left the room as fast as you could , to find your brother.
***
You had spotted him near the cells , it was the feast of starlight, your father would come looking for you soon for appearances. You rushed closer to legolas.
“L-legolas.” You sobbed for your older brother.
“Y/n what’s wrong,” he spoke concerned for you pulling you into a tight hug.
“I am leaving, you cannot stop me , I can’t live with Thranduil anymore,” You spoke looking up to him.
“Where are you going to go?”
“I am going help the dwarves escape, I’ll figure the rest out. I love you brother.” You whispered your him, then you let go over him rushing off to the cellar. He whispered I love you too before you left he knew you could look after yourself.
You had retrieved the keys , and met Bilbo one of the dwarves companions, he saw your tear stained face and he felt a desire to trust him.
The two of you rushed to the cells opening Thorin’s cell first. He looked up at you confused,then he noticed Bilbo he smiled. Once you had gotten all the dwarves out of the cells ,you had led them to the cellars ,which Bilbo insisted that you were to get in a barrel too. The other dwarves didn’t question your presence with them , after over hearing your conversation with legolas.
***
After that you stayed with the company which Thorin had allowed , as you shared the same hatred for your father ,he grew close to you. You had saved him and his nephews in the battle of the five armies, in which had led you to receive an injury in your side. Which led you to know.
The orcs were all dead now, you stood on the ice with Thorin , Bilbo , Gandalf AMD the rest of the dwarves. That was until you felt blood dripping from your side , only to look down to see the blood red on your green tunic. You felt suddenly light head , before you knew it you were falling, yet the impact of the ice never struck , instead strong arms carried you bridal style.
You looked up to see Thorin , muttered to you that you were going to be okay, you smiled at him, he began to run towards his home. You look forward to see the doors of it, and you see your father on his elk, with a worried expression on his face.
“Y/n darling , you are coming home with me, I’ll get you to the healers immediately.” He spoke to to u as Thorin approaches quickly.
“Fuck you Thranduil.” You hissed at him, his heart broke at you calling him anything other than Ada . he knew he had to let go , unknowly yet he would lose his relationship with his son too, in minutes.
Thorin had made it to his chambers with you in his arms, Oin came through the door straight after. He placed you in the middle of his bed, which smelt of pine , and earth. His covers made out of furs , and a blue velvet blanket under.
He pulled a chair on the left of the room , to the left of his bed , on the side which you weren’t injured on. He held on to you hand , which you held tightly on it , while
Your shirt was lifted slightly so oin could clean and stitch your wound.
Clenching on Thorins hand you look at his face , even with your elven strength he doesn’t wince , he just smiles. He rubs his thumb on hand your hand comfortingly. You didn’t show your pain , in your face but it did hurt, even with all your piercings that your father didn’t agree with , that you had done with a sewing needle. Thorin had eyes your bellybutton piercing minutes before.(if u don’t have one don’t worry it’s not important)
“If this hurts this much, fuck having kids.” You laughed dryly , as did Oin and Thorin. Thorin lifted your head slightly to help you drink some water Kili had brought. You thanked him.
Soon Oin was done and had wrapped your side with an bandage, you thanked him , he left saying it was no problem. This left you with Thorin, who still held your soft hand in his rough one.
“ uh thank you for saving me.” You spoke turning to the dwarven king.
“Well you saved me and my nephews, I am forever in your debt.” He smiles at you.
“ well you helped me away from my father , so I class that as we are equal.”
“ you deserved to get away from him, I am glad I met you y/n. You have shown me a different perspective on elves.” His cheeks light up, you have never seen him blush before.
“If you want one day , you can take those gems of starlight to your father, even though I hate him for treating you so horrible.” Your eyes light up.
“ does that mean you will let me stay in erebor? And not go home? “ you are shocked by his words.
“This is your home now, forever or short time. It’s your home.” You sit up quickly ignoring the pain ,throwing yourself into Thorin’s arms hugging him tightly.
“Thank you so much, I knew my father was wrong about you.” You spoke into his chest as he wrapped his arms around you.
“You shouldn’t have gotten up, you could’ve ripped your stitches, I would’ve came to you.” He smiles at you. Thorin was wearing no boots just socks , a blue tunic and trousers, whereas you wore a bloodied green tunic and legs.
“W-will you lay with me then?” You stuttered out, blush arising on your cheeks.
He replies grabbing under your ass, while you held on to his neck, carrying you to the bed again,placing you gently. He goes to walk off , which you frown at, then he turns back to you.
“I am just get you a clean shirt then I’ll be back.” He smiles at you, walking to his dresser pulling out a red tunic , walking back to you, handing it to you.
He doesn’t even get a chance to turn, before you whip off your tunic exposing your breasts before you put the tunic on. You didn’t even care that Thorin saw, he takes the dirty one from you.
“Uh I’ll be back I just need to go use the bathroom.” He holds the tunic infront of his covered cock(aliteration 101) then rushing to the bathroom.
You weren’t stupid you were fully aware at your attentions and it worked. Even if you did feel self conscious about your body, Thorin seemed to like it. You saw the tent in his trousers.
You were in day dream for a while until you felt the bed dip next to you , turning to see Thorin. You look at him innocently, then you shuffle towards him, he pulls you closer. So you are practicing laying on him, he wraps his arms your waist and his head in the crook of his neck.
Thorins tunic was large on you, the v neck very low and large. You turn your head and plant a kiss on his cheek. He then starts attacking your neck with kisses.
“Would you Allow me to court you y/n ?” He asks , stopping kissing your neck.
“Yes, I would.” In response he sits up quickly, pulling you in his lapand starts braiding a part of your hair quickly attaching a courting bead to it. In which you turn and do the same for him.
Once do you look into his eyes, as he looks into yours , his hands on your hips , you cup his cheeks pressing a kiss to his soft lips.
His eyes dart to his tunic he gave to you, widening his eyes ,he coughs “ you know that ,uh your?”
You look down then up him smirking, feeling his again hardened dick ,now against your under thigh. You nod.
“Oh so you did that shirt thing before on purpose?” He smirks at you.
“Yes I did this on purpose too.”
“I didn’t know elves were like this, you are pretty desperate.”
You smash his arm gently , earning a chuckle out of him. “Do you think Thranduil let any of the male species near me apart from my brother?”
“ ooooh so you are a virgin princess.” He smirks harder. You look down at your hands embarrassed. His hand lifts your chin gently to face him, he presses a swift kiss to it.
“It’s nothing to be embarrassed by amralime, we don’t have to do anything if you don’t want.” He smiles sweetly at you, causing your heart to race and butterflies in your stomach.
“I do want to, Im just nervous.” You face beet red.
“I’ll go slow you can tell me to stop at any point , you are injured so we should wait.” His arm is wrapped around your waist, at this point it is night.
“No please I want to , I’ll be fine. Pleaseeee.” You beg Thorin.
He smirks at you , “ are you absolutely sure ? What about if you end up pregnant. Then you have to suffer child birth.” He recalls what you said earlier.
“I don’t care , fill me with your sperm. Oh my god could you imagine my Adas face.” You bust out laughing at you comment, as does Thorin.
“Well I guess we have some work t out do then.” He chuckles flipping you so you are under him. He rips the tunic you are wearing. To be honest the next day you cannot walk , Thorin has to carry you to the toilet and bathe you, which you aren’t complaining because he does everything you need. Dwarven dicks are very large that’s for sure, you felt as if you was going to spit into two. He made sure your first time was worthwhile, as you had to had wait centuries.
In a few weeks you were declared pregnant, and Thorin had married you immediately, so it was just you two and a couple of witnesses.
Then in a couple of months you invited yours father and Legolas to your home, for dinner.
As Thranduil walked through the doors of the living space , with his son Legolas, he saw you facing away from him. You were wearing a light blue long dress, facing your husband Thorin. You had in your bad ready to give to your father a box with the gems of starlight inside.
“Y/n.” Thranduil said quietly , so happy to see you , after months of being away he regretted treating you so horrible, he missed you dearly.
You turned to face your father and brother slowly, with a huge smile. Thranduil and legolas gasp , Thranduil louder, at your huge stomach. You ignored their shocked faces, pulled them both into a huge embrace, which Legolas happily hugged back , Thranduil slower. You pulled back handing you Ada the box.
He looks at you confused, you gestured for him to open it, which he did. He gasps again. Thorin walks so he’s next to you , not daring to touch you yet.
“See Ada I told you I would get it, well it was Thorins idea.” You smile at Thorin , which he smiles largely back and then you look at your brother and father.
Legolas is squinting his eye at Thorin , knowing what Thorin had down, legolas thought to himself “fucking assbutt “ let’s just say legolas is a Castiel. Thranduil stood still eyeing his dead wife’s’ necklace. “Thank you for returning them to me.”
“Now who knocked you up, my daughter.” He looks at your left hand to see a ring on your wedding finger , legolas follows his fathers gaze.
“ you got married and didn’t invite me? I get Ada but why not me?” Legolas was heartbroken.
“ I didn’t want anyone at the wedding there was only one witness which was Bard because he was visiting at the time. I am sorry but I hate weddings, I just wanted to lay in bed eating mash potatoes.” You gave legolas a smile.
“How long since then?” Thranduil questions you.
“5 months Ada.” He gasps.
“Where is your husband? Then surely he should be with you.” Thranduil spoke annoyed with his daughters husband.
Thorin gently held you hand then spoke “but Thranduil , I am.”
Gasp. What a surprise. “Why am I not surprised you married him? You know what I am not mad, I realised how I treated you before, and I am sorry. As long you are happy.” You now gasp as your Ada and legolas smiles at you and your husband.
You let go of thorins hand and pull thranduil into a tight hug, which he returns and you do the same for your brother.
“Has the baby kicked yet?” Legolas spoke excitedly, you grab his and your fathers hand and place them on your stomach. Your baby do be a kick-boxer. “Wow” Legolas spoke quietly.
“What do you want to call it?”
“Uhhh Francis or river or keanu. Not sure.”
The end.
Summary:
Imagine being in one of the cells in Thranduils dungeon, only for fili to be put in the same cell.
Warnings: mention of parents potentially death( not confirmed) , slight nudity.
Word count:1952
Who were you exactly? You don’t really know, you weren’t from this world. As a child you loved pirates of the Caribbean, so much that when you turned 17 , your parents took you on a real pirate ship.
No pirates of course , and it actually sailed , it was great until something went wrong.
You could swim of course , how could you want to be on the waters without knowing how to . once the ship went down something dragged you by the leg , pulled you into the water , I guess like the kraken does. Anyways everything went black, and you woke up in a forest ,which you later found out was called Mirkwood.
You got surrounded by spiders , and I mean not house spiders but like cow sized. It was disgustANG. Yet you didn’t have to worry about the spiders for long , when a bunch of long haired dudes shot them dead ,with arrows. But you did worry about them after , they dragged you up asked you who you were, which they didn’t believe.
A blond man, with weird shaped ears , began to question you once you was on your feet.
“Who are you ,human?” He basically spat , disgusted.
“Uhh..y/n ma’am.” You had answered, slowly , confused to where you were and who these people were,where were your parents?
“You should not speak to the prince of Mirkwood like that.” A ginger women , spoke sharply, You hate her already , you had thought.
“The prince of where? Who are you people? Where are my parents?” You asked desperately.
“We are not people , we are elves mortal, how would we know where they were you are the one trespassing.” The blond elf that looked like Orlando bloom ,spat.
“Hey will turner , you tell me , I woke up here , last thing I remember was being in a sinking ship.”
“You are weeks away from the sea, you are lying.”
“I am not , now tell me where I am.” You shouted angrily.
“We are taking to you to the king now.”
You were then dragged away to king thranduil.
Let’s just say Thranduil is a cold hearted man , you ended up in a cell. So that leads you to present time.
Did I mention you dressed up as captain jack sparrow for the ship ride. Well yeah you did.
You sit against the stone wall , with your hat over your eyes, leaning on the bridge of your nose. Sleeping, that’s all you could really do in here. That was until the lock of you cell was unlocked ; you heard steps of heavy boots walk into the cell. Then the cell was locked again. You lift up your hat , to see this muscular blond man , with long locks , and braids in his Moustache. He was cute.
It was strange he was Put In a cell with you, you had noticed that men and women were separated,when put in cells. For obvious reasons, you decided the reason why he was put with you was because you had dressed like male pirate. Still confused you, your shirt was a v cut low like jacks they could see that you weren’t male. You weren’t a over weight male dude with man tits.
God You hope he wasn’t a rapist or a serial killer.
“Hey” you spoke quietly to the blond man, as he sat from the wall across from you.
“Hi, “ he replies back, looking you o v er.
“ are you a Corsair?” He asks after viewing your clothing.
You had no idea what they hell that was,
“ what’s that?”
“ a sea raider, my lady.” Oh so he knew you was a woman, it’s not that hard.
“Oh you mean a pirate. No I am not, I don’t even know where I am. You don’t have to call me my lady, it’s just y/n” he scrunches his face up with confusion, not b hearing the term pirate before.
“Alright..y/n. You are in Mirkwood, the land of the elves. I am fili.” He spoke confidently.
“I thought elves were made up , but then I saw their ears. I have never heard of Mirkwood before.”
“Where are you from then, I thought everyone knew of elves.” He suspected you were from far away.
“Y/c (your county) “ you spoke to fili.
“I have never heard of that, where about is that in middle earth.”
It was strange you had never met this man , and you were telling him these things freely, what about stranger danger. Well he’s not a stranger because you know his name.
“Middle earth? What are you on about. It’s just earth.” You had never been this confused in your whole life.
You go on to explain how you had ended up in Mirkwood forest , and they had just thrown you into a cell. Fili was very confused be assured you that he knew someone a wizard that would be able to help you. He also called Thranduil a cocksucker. He told you about Thranduils hatred for dwarves and you asked how he knew and it turns he was one. But he was tall so you never thought anything before then, you just thought he was human. He had even told you that he was travelling with a company and his uncle thorin was going to reclaim his throne , from a dragon or something. Which they had a hobbit for bugling.
“ so those clothes aren’t something you would normally wear?” He questions you cocking his left eyebrow up.
“Oh no , if I wore these all the time people would question my sanity.”
“ ooh well I like them. “ he smiles at you.
“Thank you sir fili, I like your Moustache braids.”
“Thank you miss y/n. Lets hope we get out of here.” He grins again, looking at the door briefly.
“Wait you are taking me with you?”
“Did you think I would get out and leave you who was wrongfully imprisoned.” He laughs.
“Thank you, I see that you are kind man ,sorry dwarf. “ before you can say anything more fili’s dwarven friends shouts begin.
Fili gets up to look , he turns back to you smirking , holding out a hand for you to take which you do and he pulls you to you feet. He was a strong dude that was sure. The cell clicks to infer it is unlocked by a even shorter man , that must be the hobbit , Bilbo. You and Fili walk out the cell, the hobbit looks at you confused.
“Fili , who is this?” He questions.
“Iy/n, uh I am not a sailor.” You speak to the hobbit and a rather strong man that stood next to him , he looked majestic. That must be his uncle.
“Thorin we must take her with us, she isn’t from this world I am sure of it. Please.”
Thorin scoffs, “how can you trust her?” Before you can say anything Bilbo says we must leave now. While you had run down the stairs , a dark haired dwarf had caught up with me and fili , who had ahold of my hand all the way down the stairs.
“Who is the this lovely lady, brother?” Ah yes filis brother what a charmer.
“Y/ n” you spoke , as you approached the wine cellar. Bilbo forced us to go to the barrels and to get into them.
“I am kili, Fili’s brother, at your service.” He replies bowing and grabbing your free hand bringing it up to his lips, kissing it softly.
You mock jack sparrows bow , after he let go of your hand. You smirk. Fili pulls you with him to a barrel, “do you want to share, I fear that we be in danger out there , once we leave.” You nod at his question.
“Kili will you help her in?”
Fili gets into the barrel at the top of the row, and kili lifts you so you are able to slide in the barrel as well.
“Thank you kili.” You smile at the dwarf. He smiles at you , and gets in his own barrel.
Without barely any warning Bilbo tells everyone to hold tight , and suddenly you are all thrown into a river. The water soaks you , you lift your hat off putting it in the barrel safely. You look around to see the Orlando elf and his ginger bitch friend following you, as well as these creatures, Fili called orcs. They were ugly.
“Fili hold my legs.” (Sorry I put that in the kili one too.) he does as yo u stand in between Filis legs , somehow.
Looking at the elves you speak loudly ,
“Remember this as the day as the day you almost caught captain Jack sparrow.” You smirk , placing two fingers straight to your head , and farewelling the elves.
Only to your surprise you are soaked with water when an dead orc falls into the water. Soaking your shirt, making your shirt very see through, however you didn’t notice this. The guards had taken your jacket away. Douchebags.
You sit back down, in the barrel waiting for you reach land. Too bad you thought damn , my bra is visible bye the v line so I’ll wear no bra. Sad mistake.
“I guess the water thing is what I get for being cocky.” You laugh, as does fili wrapping his arm around you to secure you.
Let’s just say , Kili does get shot because Fili lifts you into the air so you could reach the lever , opening the gate. Haha fuck that orc, we are smart.
Quickly you all reach shore and get out of the barrels, walking onto the shore.
“Well that was fun.” You speak suddenly In your waist coat and hat in hand.
“Uh miss y/n..” spoke kili , his face red, looks away from you , trying not embarrass you.
“Yes...?” You are beyond confused at this point.
You see fili walking up to , removing his coat,putting the coat on your shoulders,Pulling it around your front and doing up the middle button. He whispers in your ear “your shirt was wet, and see through.”
You now were beet red looking at the dwarf, “oh god, did everyone see?”You mentally curse yourself.
“no just kili , the rest were too busy emptying their boots.” You sigh I reveal stil haunting thoughts, that these men had seen your assets , no one had other than family and that was when you was younger.
“Thank you.” You smile at the shorter man.
“You are welcome, not that I didn’t like what I saw.” He smirks at you.
“Oh .. do you want to trade by any chance?”
He laughs at you,if only you knew what he was going to be doing in his free time next.
(Boy city boyyyyyss)
“ pleaseeeee , has your left nipple ever bled before , mine has! I accidently scratched it and it hurt for days.” He was now shocked at your words.
“Really?”
“Yes my dude.”
In lesss than minutes you are on the barge with fili he has hold of your hand resurringly, maybe you don’t want to go home. The chances of your parents of being alive was slim, but you had a chance of a life here, if you wanted you could dress up as a jack anyday.
Unknowingly to you that wouldn’t be the last time fili would see your mellons. You sure in hell don’t let azog take him away from you. He was one good piece of treasure. Not all treasure is silver and gold,mate.
Okay hear me out
Fili x modern!reader
Summary: imagine convincing fili to let you do his hair.
word count:3894 longest fic so far
a/n its my birthday tomorrow aka the 14th of july
You had been somehow transported into Tolkien's universe, at the time of hobbit, landing infront of Gandalf. The fall hurt your bottom, you had groaned and looked up to see Gandalf looking at you in shock. However he had decided you would accompany him to Bilbos house. You didn't have a choice you didn't know where you bloody were! Gandalf has seen pretty nice, he said he would help you, but didn't understand how on middle earth you had ended up in a different world.
At this point Gandalf had already been at  bilbos house and left a mark on the door, so it was quite dark when you both arrived. When you had reached your destination , dwarves , lots had stood infront of the door pushing against eachother to get inside. You stood staring at the dwarves as the door was pulled open harshly ;by an annoyed hobbit.
stumbing down on each other with grunts and groans of frustrations ,plus pain. They evently all got up slowly ,your patience was low not as low as the hobbit who muttered 'Gandalf' ,before rushing further into the hole. Bilbo had realised that Gandalf was up to something sighing in defeat as Bombur scoffed down his expensive cheese.You felt bad for the dude these dudes were trashing his den and eating his food, you didnt really like sharing your food ,so you could imagine the pain Bilbo felt. Bilbo didnt even glance at you next to Gandalf he was too busy preventing his hole collasping inwards.
You and Gandalf had walked into the hobbit hole ,swiftly once the dwarves had. The warm air hitting your chilly cheeks,the warm light making your eyes blur for a spilt second ,the burst of loud laughter, clanking of plates and such filled your ear drums. You were going to have a huge headache by the end of the night.
You had hid behind Gandalf ,like a child would behind their mothers when talking to strangers ,as he led you to the dinning room. You were nervous there was no doubt about that ,you didnt want to be refused by this horin you had heard about,but Gandalf told you not worry. Apparently Thorin wasnt even here yet,a muscular dwarf told Gandalf ,he had glanced at you suspiciously before going back to getting ale.
Gandalf had asked a brunette dwarf to find you a seat and some food  ,pulling you out from behind  him. The dwarf had sent you a wide smile, lifting your hand pressing a kiss to you knuckles,doing a bow sorta thing. "Kili,at your service." his gesture had made you blush,no one had ever done something like that before.
"uh, y/n at yours." you had spoke quietly to dwarf,who smiled again still gasping your hand tugging you to a seat next to a blond dwarf. After he let go of your hand, you had sat ,while the brunette dwarf sat down beside you, there wasnt a lot of  room so you were shoulder to both dwarves. The blond one had turnt to you eyeing you,which kili had shoved some bread and ale  infront of you. You were starving so you didnt  waste anytime eating it ,Kili had smirked looking towards his brother.
"y/n this my brother Fili,Fili this is y/n" you had looked up at Fili with a mouthful of bread,gulping it down quickly,sending him a smile. He was indeed very handsome like his brothr,he had smiled at you. "Nice to meet you" you had spoke quietly yet again. "you too." he had replied unsure of his words,he had taken in your clothing it was very strange to anything he had ever seen a human dress.
"so y/n, will you be accompanying us on our journey?" Kili had questioned you,making you break you gaze from Fili. "i-i dont know,Gandalf says i am ,but this Thorin dude sounds scary." even his name sent chills down your spin ,making you shake slightly,the brothers had broken out into loud laughter. You had looked towards them in confusion. "you are not worry ,uncle cannot refuse a wizard." Fili had spoke to you smiling.
"Yeah,plus we will protect you from him,wont we Fili?" Kili had thrown his arm around your shoulder,making you blush a little again. "Yeah,plus uncle will be too distracted with us causing trouble"  You had smiled up at fili,chugging down the ale down that you were given. Soon enough Thorin had arrived ,and Gandalf had explained your situation,arguing with Thorin that you were brought here for a reason,eventually Thorin gave in.
You signed a contract, while Kili questioned about your world on and on,he even asked you if you had a boyfriend which you hadnt even had one real relationship. The Durin brothers were pleased with you answer, Thorin didnt hate you,but wasnt keen on a young women joining this quest incase you got hurt. Plus he didnt want to have to worry for you , like he had already did for his nephews,at least you werent an elf...
By the morning you were on a pony,sharing with Fili becayse no one had planned on a 15th member until you fell infront of Gandalf. You hadnt rode a pony for many years only a couple of times as a child,even though you werent going fast your arms were still wrapped around Fili waist/chest. Kili had smirked at his brother,raising his eyebrows,Fili rolled his eyes mouthing 'jealous' and that was that,of course you didnt know about the interaction.
"If I poppedmy cherry,while riding this pony ,i swear." you had spoken quietly,the phrase confused the other dwarves and Bilbo.
"uh, miss y/n what does that mean?" Bilbo had asked ,he was generally curious,you had smiled at the hobbit.
"it means to break my hymen while riding on a pony ,so basically lose my virginity." Bilbo's mouth gap open slightly in shock,but he slowly nods. Bofur,Fili,kili,and some other dwarves had laughed at your worry.
"you'll be fine as long as you dont ride him to hard" Kili had smirked at you sending you a wink,you had scoffed. Fili had smirked at you rjecteing his brother,it gave him some hope that you would eventually like him, he was developing a small crush on you. You had sent a blush to hus face when you had choosen to ride with him.
Obliviously you hadnt packet for this trip, you were lucky enough to fall into this world ,when you had your toothbrush and toothpaste in hand when you slipped and fell into a portal thang. You were lucky enough for the dwarves to give you any unneeded blankets,so you didnt freeze at night,and fili and kili shared their water pouches with you. When it came to night the brothers would set up their bedrolls either side of you ,and if Fili saw you were cold in the night he would pass his furs over you.
But that was months ago,the war was over ,erebor was reclaimed,apparently the reason you were sent here was to save the Durins line which you did. Thorin liked you much more now ,he had now given you a room ,near his and his nephews chambers. You felt lonely,useless even now ,your task was done you had nothing left to achieve in this world. However Thorin coranation ball was soon,he had already sent you dress makers to make you a dress,as gift for you. He wouldnt let it down that you saved his family ,basically he is your bank,he buy you anything you want,not that you wanted to take any of his money.
You had a dark green dress made ,apparently the tailors said it was best suited for you, it was simple ,busted your boobs a bit,and was to the floor,simple as that. avelvet material,shoulders showing with arms,you didnt want to be cold to be honest. You laid on you bed above the covers ,with a towel wrapped around your torso and upper thighs,covering your parts. Head on your pillow,wet hair spread upon it too,staring the celling.
That was until three brief knocks hit your pine door,knock,knock,knock. You didnt know who to expect probably Bilbo. "come in" you replied with a monotone voice. The door creeked open,closing shortly after as footsteps could be heard approaching you. You turnt your head to see Fili, with a blush upon his face ,seeing you in just a towel, you smiled at him ,before turning you head back to the celling.
"im sorry,y/n , I'll come back later"he spoke quickly,looking at you waiting for a response.
"no,no ,no, stay," you replied hurredly ,getting up from your bed quickly trying not flash the prince, grabbing your tshirt throwing it over your head ,so it covered your. You trousers the same just going under the towel, then removing the towel,you didnt know if fili had watched you but he wouldnt have seen anything anyways.
"uh..so why did you come here?" you had questioned the prince ,turning to facing him, he had his back to the door,from giving you privacy getting dressed. "you can face me now fili im not naked." he chuckled nervously ,before turning swiftly around to you. "I just came to see how you were, I havent seen you for days." he sent you a gently smile,walking closer to you ,inspecting you,for signs of distress.
"Im totally cool,don't worry about me." you didnt want to upset Fili by telling him the truth,but you knew he knew you werent ,you had been in your room for three days straight. He had risen an eyebrow at you. "i just don't know why im still here ,I saved your family,now I feel like im useless to be here anymore." you had spoken quietly , eyes looking at the floor which your bare feet stood. You sit at the edge of your bed ,shoulders lower as the bed dips next to you Fili pulls you into a bear hug his strong arms around your shoulders pulling you into him.
"You are NOT useless ,in the passed few days ,do you know how much I missed you,kili has been driving me nuts. I needed you there so i could punch him and  you to say it never happened." you laugh quietly into Filis chest ,as your arms are wrapped around his waist tightly. "ill do it if you let me do one thing,please." you looked you from Fili's chest into his blue eyes. "depends what you wanna do?" he smirked at you,still holding you tightly. "Let me do your hair , like evan almighty." you smiled hopefully at the dwarf ,ignoring his joke,his eyes became wide ,he didnt think you knew about courting rituals.
"Y-you want to do my hair?" he was a little taken back ,you just nodded excitedly at the blond prince."okay,go ahead." he didnt want to call you out on it just incase you didnt know,plus he didnt want to face rejection. You jumped up out of his arms to run and grab a brush ,running back launching yourself on the bed ,making fili laugh at your excitement. You kneel behind the prince ,gently taking out his brides,you kept asking if you were allowed to do this he assured you that you could. After you had done that,you brushed out his blond locks ,before pulling it back into a low ponytail. You wish you could do that pony braid on his beard like in the movie but this will have to do. "hehe ,its done." Fili got up and went to the mirror on your dresser,smiling at you in the mirror as you watched. "i love it,thank you,but now its your turn."
Before you knew it he had picked you bridal style with ease ,placing you on a chair,grabbing a brush standing behind you. Bro it happened in 0.3 seconds ,before he started brushing through your h/c hair. Soon his thick dwarven fingers were lacing through your hair ,it was indeed soothing,ever now and then he would place in his beads at the ends of your hair. Once he had finished he had brought you to the same mirror,once you had looked,you realised he braided your hair exactly like he would.You had turnt around quickly,grabbing hisupper arms tightly,thanking him. "Oh my god fili,lets pranked kili!" he had smirked at you."how?"he was always up for playing tricks on his brother.
"Ill pretend to be you,i already got the hair even though its not exactly the same,i just need to borrow some clothes. And if he asks where you are ,ill be like im right here brother," fili had laughed at your plan argeeing to it.Thorin had gift you with many clothes and even makeup which is what you needed right now. You had drawn on a moustache,that fili had before he had led you to his room fetching you some clothes. Luckily kili nor anyone else had spotted you. You had taught how to do an a dance from evan almighty   if he was to be caught. You had changed quickly ,keeping your own trousers just changed your shirt while fili faced away. He had given you one of his tunics and his coat while he just wore a tunic,you left yuor clothes on his bed before the both of you fled out the room, you rushed a head while he sneaked behind.
Soon enough you had ran into kili,who eyed your attire confused,at first he thought you had slept with his brother. "Y/n w-what are you doing?" he questioned you,you smirked at him. "Brother what are talking about? y/n is eating potatoes in bed>" you gripped kilis shoulders ,in a botherly manner eyeing him. He had reached up your braids ,touching the beads. "why are you wearing fili's beads? are yo-" "YOUR IT!" you tapped his shoulder ,running away from him,he didnt question you further ,but chased after you ,but you were simply  to fast with your long human legs. You had made it to Thorins throne ,which he sat you jumped into his lap roughly,wrapping an arm around his neck
Before he spoke you had breathlessly taken that chance, "Uncle ,kili stole my last piece of bacon." he had chuckled at you, "now my sisters son ,you may have his dessert tonight." you had cheered,as you did Fili had ran into the room,Kili soon after slow coach.
"Fi;i what are you doing?!" kili shouted ,you smirked "no what areee ya doin'?" fili grinned as kili glared at you turning to his actual brother. Fili started doing the dance from evan almighty "uh,uh,uh" mving his hips with his arms in sync motion. You had jumped out of Thorins lap,to join Fili dancing. Before grabbing his hand ,running off into the gardens as it poured down with rain. The rain streamed down your face ,making the makeup do the same,okay so it wasnt really a prank it was just a little fun.
"Oh mister almighty,you do look very handsome."you spoke smirking at fili as the rain soaked you both.
"As do you ,but I think miss y/n is much more beautiful." he spoke to you making a blush rise on your face,you pressed a kiss upon his cheek. "oh my i just kissed myself." fili chuckled lightly ,you forced fili to give you a piggy back ride to his room,so you could both change and to wash your face , Leaving your clothes to dry however you both left you hair,making your way to dinner in which all the company were attending to you. As you walk in all eyes are on the pair of you,kili gestures for the two of you to sit next him ,exactly like when you both met,kili to your left fili to the right. The company kept galancing at you ,as you began to eat your potatoes and pork.
"y/n?" you had glanced up to see Bofur addressing you ,you nod at the hatted dwarf "did fili do that to you hair ,and you do that to his?" he questioned carefully as fili glared at him. "well.. yeah, i wanted to his hair as something different, but i couldnt because his beard wasnt long enough and yeah" you werent even sure what you were saying,because you knew they wouldnt understand if you said steve as even almight/noah.you shove a mouthful of mash into your mouth,you were hungry,your hair was still soaked.
"you are aware that touching a dwarves hair,is a a courting ritual,lassy?" Balin had questioned you making your face go red,choking on your mash,kili patted you back."shes even wearing his beads!" dori had interjected  "and lass wearing dwarves clothes suggests that you get it on-" Dwalin began only to be cut off by Thorin "thats enough! shes human ,and from another world how on bloody earth would she know any of our courting customs? shes wouldnt now leave it NOw." Thorin had defending you sensing you were embarrassed,sending you a smile, which you return lightly."Thorin,may i go finish my food alone,in my room?please."   It wasnt that you didnt like fili your crush grew huge over the months , its just you had felt like he had set you up for embarrassment by not telling you. Thorin had smiled at you nodding ,thats all it took for you to grab your plate and drink before rushing up to your room.
You couldnt eat your food now,you had shoved it a side before laying down like earlier ,staring intensely at the cream celling,it felt like it only minutes you had been laying there,but the sky was dark ,the month light shinning in through you window. However you didnt know right now kili was coaching fili how to express his feelings for you,to court you. Eventually they had came up with the idea for fili to ask you to walk with him in the gardens, but first he would have to apologise. Fili had basically became sonic sprinting to your room ,kili was currently hiding in a bush in the gardens. Fili he knocked hurriedly on your door, you had ignored his calls ,he had spoke "I'm coming in y/n." he had opened your door rushing to you,you had ignored him again ,pretty childish you know. "Im sorry ,y/n. I didn't mean to embarrass you,please let me explain." he had spoken sincerely,gripping your left hand. "go a head then." you replied still looking at the celling.
"walk with me." you had groaned,you werent mad with fili,you were just embarrassed about the confrontations,you had slipped your shoes back on ,fili held your hand walking you to the gardens in silence.
Bilbo had walked by kili,only to be pulled in the bush ,telling him to shut up ,and watch. There was a pond with breaks around it,fili had led you to sit on there with him,his rough thumb circled your palm whilst holding it gently. You looked into his ocean eyes whilst he stared back in your e/c ones. "y/n l/n I did not intend to embarrass you only to portray my feelings for you,because I am too much of a wimp to face heartbreak if your feelings werent returned.Also didnt mean for the others to think we slept together ,I saw the joy in your eyes when you wanted to annoy kili ,with me.I didnt want to deny that,okay pretty bad excuses I know but what I am trying to say is I love you." he poured out ,turning away from you red faced ,eyes watering slightly,you had pulled his face to you. "i love you too, seth rogen." you had blushed pressing your lips onto his before pulling away,before pushing him into the pond. You had moved out the way so he couldnt grab you had pull you in. He had went under before resurfacing, "hey when you fell in did you flounder?" you had smirked at your pun,it had matched the situation ,as hours ago you had forced him to impersonate steve carell,kili and bilbo were trying not to giggle. "what was that for?" he had gasped ,climbing out of the pond. "oi,dont be so koi ,you had that coming ,for not sticking up for me at dinner." you had pointed at him,still punning before he walked slowly towards you. "you are right maybe i should present my affection to you to make up for it." he held out his arms ,smirking you had widened your eyes muttering "no,no,no" about to run for it but you were too late,he had grabbed you,lifting you onto his shoulders before jumping back into the pond.
You had only been in the water a few seconds before fili had gotten out,lifting you out after,carrying you bridal style,you smiled up at him soaking wet, before walking towards the building. "lets go get dry then you can braid my hair ,hm?" he had finally gotten his love ,and there was nothing better, maybe a child but not right now,you finally felt you had a meaning to be in middle earth. There was a reason you were sent here to say fili,because you were meant to spend your life with him. "okay mister seth rogen?" he had looked down at you confused,as bilbo and kili stared in awe before sneaking off to tell thorin and the others. "who is seth rogen?" you had laughed "you are the seth rogen to my james franco," he didnt know what the hell you were talking about ,yet he smiled,he really was your seth rogen.
Sable Skirts (I)
Awaiting Sentence
Summary: Keris is arrested after she is caught running an underground publication in Erebor. Facing a certain death sentence, she may have a way out, but it might cost her more than her life.
Note/Warning: So this is a fic I’m reposting from ao3. It’s a dark!Thorin Oakenshield/OC fic. It’s very dark, like super. It includes violence, noncon, and overall a bad time. Please mind that warning. Let me know what you think (I’ll be posting a few a day until I catch up)
This is dark!Thorin Oakenshield and explicit. 18+ only.
Keris had known the risks but facing the consequences was much more dire than merely imagining them. Sitting in the grimy cell; water dripping from the dank walls, the smell of worn stone and human filth. All she had lost was ever more clear to her.
She wasn't truly sitting, more crouching. The floor was slick with an unknown substance. Its smell assured her she did not want to rest in it. They had taken her boots and her stockings, leaving her feet bare and cold. She was hidden so deep in the Mountain that the spring rains had left it damp and musty, mixed with other unmentionable fluids. She shivered, cupping her hands over her mouth to warm them with her breath.
It had been close to a day. Maybe even two. Down here there was no marker for dawn and dusk. The torches always burned dimly just outside the cells; just enough to make out the iron grate barring her in and the shadows of guards.
She didn't regret her crime, only that she had been found out. She had been right in her actions though the law would dictate otherwise. Authority, she had concluded, was not always the keeper of morality, nor the voice of reason. The king and his council signed their acts and bills their own behalf, excusing it as for the people, though it was more than not the people who suffered for the wealth of the nobles. It was that inherent disparity, the growing corruption which had driven her to act against those who named themselves elite.
She closed her eyes as another brisk draft blew around her. They hadn’t even left her a cloak; her wool tunic, topped by a thin cotton dress offered little warmth. Outside, warmth followed the seasonal rains but down there, it was not but the cold. She replayed her downfall once more.
She had known when the knock sounded who it was. There had not been enough time to cram all her papers into the stove before they entered. The mountain guards, called greybacks for the dull colour of their uniforms, burst in and seized from her the handful of parchment she had been trying to destroy. The chaos of her pens being dumped onto the floor, books being cracked and torn apart, the uncirculated pamphlets gathered and held as evidence. All the while she had thrashed against their restraints, the cuffs scraping her wrists as she fought against them. A slap had stilled her body but not her anger. She spat at the guard who had struck her, a glob of blood and spit landing on his cheek. He hit her again, his gauntlet leaving another gash along her lip.
She was guilty. She did not presume to feign innocence. She had printed contraband. Treason, even. She had called for a break in the system; a balance of powers. The poor were only getting poorer and the rich, richer. Every week saw a new tax; tea, linen, bread...soon enough, they would pay for the very breath they drew. She had not sought bloodshed or massacre, only equality.  In the Mountain, however, that was as good as. The very structure was the physical embodiment of hierarchy. Those lower floors homed the peasants and invalids; as you ascended, merchants and lower lords lived, above the greater nobility and royal occupied the highest floor. The king himself overlooked the rocky landscape from a balcony along its peak. A beacon of the system.
Footsteps kept her from the memories that came next. Being dragged to the cells, past those she had called friends and others who were unknowingly her enemies. She had kept her head high, shoulders straights, face unyielding. She would confront her fate with the dignity she had sought for the masses. She would give them hope when despair triumphed.
She stood as the guard unlocked her door, a pair of greybacks entering. Wordlessly, they turned her around and shackled her hands behind her. They spun her to face the door and shoved her through it. She stumbled, barely catching herself. A sharp rock stabbed the bottom of her foot but she continued onward.  The walk was long. They passed the narrow windows carved into the mountainside, the light of dusk shrouding the horizon just beyond her view. Up and up and up. She had never been so high in the Mountain. The air grew warmer with their ascent but the foul stench of the dungeons clung to her.
A towering set of doors stood open, the light of a dozen lamps shining through. She was escorted inside and the buzz of voices within died. She had never seen the chamber but she knew where she was. This was the high court. That reserved for the most heinous criminals. The benches were empty and only a small group sat at the front of the hall.
The king was the first to catch her eye though she had only ever seen him from afar. Thorin II’s dark head topped with a thick golden crown; his black doublet slashed with matching gold silk. He sat upon a dais with two others. His eyes were planted on the far wall and he seemed not to notice her despite the hush which had overcome the room.  To his left, in the place of honour, sat his heir, Prince Fili. His green eyes flitted towards you, a wrinkle in his brow betraying curiosity. His interest dissipated quickly and he pushed back the thick blond braid which had fallen forward over his shoulder. The emerald brocade of his jacket matched his eyes, though the lustre of the latter faded.  To the king’s right sat the other prince, Kili. His dark hair was slightly askew, his doe-like eyes averted as he rested his chin his hand. His leg wobbled with impatience as he held back a yawn, seemingly disinterested in the whole process.
These Durins had once been heroes. They had reclaimed the dwarfish homeland and returned their people to their rightful place. Then they had fallen into the antiquated habits of their ancestors. Those very practices which had assured the apathy of the elves during the descent of Smaug. That which had isolated Erebor from the rest of the world; the rich from the poor.  Perhaps, she thought, the dragon sickness hadn’t taken the king as feared, but another type of greed had poisoned his soul. Their entire bloodline had a tendency towards it. They presented themselves as righteous to their people but wrote deceit in their statutes. Those rumours of their baser acts; those vulgar pleasures derived from the suffering of others, travelled quickly. Keris knew, that behind every snippet of gossip, there was a sliver of truth. As it was, the indulgence of the royals was not diligently hidden; flaunted even.
Two other nobles. Dwalin, the captain of the silvercloaks, the royal guard noted for their shining capes, stood to the left of the royal dais. His own brother, Balin, stood in front of the podium. The white-haired elder was the head of the king’s council; Lord of the Chamber. The legate she had been actively opposing in her activities. Those few others present were guards; both grey and silver, lining the wall as they watched the prisoner’s arrival.
Keris was stopped before a lectern. This was her trial. Held in the last light to hurry the process. To keep quiet her crimes as to not encourage those with similar leanings. To hasten and ease her sentence which had certainly already been decided. It was a farce. Her presence allowed her no defense or judgment, truly. It was all show.  The doors were pulled shut with a boisterous clang. The silence was trapped in the hall, broken at last by the calm but ringing voice of the head legate.
“I, Lord Balin, Son of Fundin, Lord of the Chamber, do hereby inaugurate this hearing. By the law of the Mountain and ancestors of Erebor, in the name of our king and ruler, Thorin II, son of Thrain II, King Under the Mountain and Blood of Durin, recognize the defendant, Keris Wyck, charged with distribution of contraband, conspiracy to commit treason, and sedition. This trial shall now commence.”
Keris looked around as Lord Balin’s voice echoed in the silence. Though it lacked an audience, the chamber was intimidating. Her heart started beating furiously, as if it had been still before.
“Girl,” The king called to her, drawing her attention from the empty benches. His voice was frightening; deep and stony, as if he was the mountain himself. “Do you have anything to say for yourself?”
She swallowed as she looked up at the dais. For the first time, King Thorin’s eyes met hers. Her stomach turned sour and she fought to keep her hands from trembling. She saw cruelty in his eyes. Judgment. There was nothing she could say to exonerate herself. But she would speak.
“Yes...I-I do,” She cringed at the stutter in her voice, “I would argue that what I wrote was not contraband, and thus the act of distribution was not treason. What I wrote was the truth. What I wrote was a recounting of hardship, of struggle, of reality. Of the very same desperation you once bore in your desire to reclaim our home.  I wrote for the washerwoman with her brood of children who must decide between feeding her family or her hearth. The cook who must choose between a room to live in or a slice of bread. I write for those who are taxed until they are starving while the nobles gorge themselves on venison and wine.”
“Enough!” The king slammed his palm upon the arm of his chair, “You admit openly to opposing the royal authority. Do you know the punishment for such an act?”
“I am well aware but I daresay that death would be preferable than living in such squalor,” Keris snapped. She could hear her pulse in her ears; feel the boiling in her veins.
Prince Kili seemed to have been awoken by the king’s outburst and Prince Fili stared between the king and the defendant. King Thorin growled, the rumble permeating the room as the venomous thoughts swirled in his maddened eyes. He stood, pointing a thick finger at Keris.  “I declare you guilty, girl!” The king roared, “On your own admission. By my authority and by the blood of the Mountain, I see you guilty of treason!.” He seemed to be struggling against his own temper, “You seditious bitch! Vile wench!”
Keris was shocked by the affront he had taken. She had thought her plea quite eloquent and had thought to accept her fate with a grain of courage. Her unwillingness to beg however had quite bothered him. Yet, she knew, whether she had spoken those words or others, she would have faced the same verdict. She was only gladdened to have spoken for herself; for the people. Even if it fell on deaf ears. Even if she fell, too.
Keris was back in her cell. The Lord of the Chamber had quickly confirmed the King’s declaration while the latter stewed in rage. He had lost his Mountain once and any challenge reminded him of his years of exile. He would see to it that it would not happen again. Even one as minor as herself was a threat.
She did not sleep. She could not. She would not bring herself to lay on the filthy cobbles until fatigue forced her to do so. These were her last days, day even, and she would see her death without piss and shit upon her dress. She leaned against the wall, trying to take the weight from her legs. The cut on her foot throbbed, likely infected from the mire below her.  She didn’t hear the approach. She was so tired she couldn’t even hear the steady drip at the back of her cell. It was only the shift of light, the grate’s whine as it was opened, that alerted her to his presence. She looked up, pushing herself from the wall as she greeted her visitor silently. She muffled the groan of pain which came with her movement.
Lord Balin entered, the door closing behind him. He looked around the floor in disgust, trying to place his feet in the less slimy patches. His glossy blue eyes found her in the dim.  “I’ve been searching you out for months,” He began; his voice a blend of gentility and menace. “This rogue pamphleteer. Rebuking every statute, every word I wrote with his own. Or rather her own.”
Keris watched him. He paced two steps back and forth. The most he could afford without getting ankle deep in the sludge. A ghost of a smile appeared at the corner of his lips.
“Admirable, almost. It’s quite one thing to fight one with steel, but with a pen, it is rather more intriguing.”
“Are you here to boast then?” Keris asked.
“No, I don’t like the practice truly. Modesty is much preferable.” He flourished his hand carelessly, “I am come, officially, to deliver your sentence.”
“Did it need to be stated aloud? I’m quite certain I shall have a block at my neck before the next eve.”
“That is an option. Traditionally. But, the law has always been more accommodating to offenders of your...sex. It needn’t end so tragically. You are young and have many years left to you.” He rambled.
“I gave those up when I set my quill to parchment,” She scoffed.
“Would you hear my alternative or are you so set on your own demise?”
She sighed, giving a curt nod for him to continue. He backed up, letting the torchlight stream in clearer, looking her over with an appraising eye.
“I read your pamphlet, ‘On the Sins of Wealth’. An intriguing look into the underbelly of noble pleasures and I must say, very well written. Almost accurate, truly. But I daresay our royal harem is much more hospitable than you would have it. Those dams are of high-esteem, unlike those in the lower levels. Sad little things, trading their services for a loaf of bread.”
“Because they haven’t any other choice,” She insisted, “Because you would mandate that they give up their coin for your own comforts.”
“Hmm,” He gave a half-chuckle, “As I was saying. The royal harem, or 'sable skirts' as they have been so cleverly nicknamed, are not maltreated, rather they are well-kept. And in return they give their services; simple pleasures but otherwise, they live a life of luxury.”
“I’m afraid my pens have all been disposed of, otherwise I would revise that pamphlet,” She said dryly, “Why in Mahal are you telling me all this?”
“Ah, back to what I was trying to say before; my alternative…”
Keris’ heart had skipped a beat. She was sure of it. The pang in her chest was so sharp she nearly gasped. The realization struck her before he finished his thought. His offer was all too plain.
“You want me to sell my body for my life?” She sputtered.
“A skirt or the block,” He held his hand out like a scale, “It would seem an easy choice. Life or death, really.”
“But...as repulsive as the offer is, why?”
“As I said, the law is not so callous towards dams and...I like you, Keris. Were you a noble on my council, you would be an indispensable asset. And your words in court were almost endearing, if not near-sighted.” He grinned, “And well, the harem always welcome new blood and dams are as rare as ever.”
Keris looked down as her foot throbbed once more. Her feet were black with dirt, her skirts starting to stain. Her head pounded and her lip hung heavy and swollen. This was it. She would spend her last day in this cell; filthy, bloodied, and cold.
“Can I think about it?” She asked, ashamed of herself for even considering the proposition.
“You have five minutes,” He declared plainly, “I’m afraid I can’t wait. The block is to be brought out by day’s end, if at all.”
Keris exhaled. She let all the breath leave her body as she closed her eyes. She reached up to touch her greasy hair, grasping her head as if it would split. She gulped, afraid to inhale. Afraid to continue. She wished she could stop time. Wished she could rewind. She wished she wasn’t afraid but now that she stood before death, she wanted nothing more than to run the other way.
“Alright…” She finally spoke, the cold air filling her lungs.
“Pardon, dear?” Lord Balin leaned in.
“I said alright,” Her teeth were close to chattering but it had nothing to do with the chill, “I’ll...I’ll do it.”
Modern Soulmate Pt 7
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Gradually notes that split the night air to the tone of a tornado siren eyes split open and it was a mountain of bricks down upon the three of you. Out from under that imaginary ton of bricks you leapt to action and once dressed the three of you almost all ended up tackling each other in the drivers seat until in a shuffle of bodies one was chosen to handle the drive to the hospital you all hurried past the lone guard on duty at this monstrous hour.
“I’m right here,” you repeated to the man beside whom you’d cuddled with arms looped around his shoulders and chest. Head against his you inhaled with hands fixed upon his that latched onto yours and did not let go from the moment you arrived and dove here. He wasn’t awake, merely the Doctors knew this was the warning sign he gave to get you here, a spike of activity followed by throaty grumbled muffled in his throat upon your arrival. He couldn’t say what he’d wanted to. That he’d spent months arguing and fighting a battle of wits with Namo to just give him one more year, one more season, month, week, day, hour, minute. Everything he’d never gotten around to saying, every moment he would never get to be there for you, just one more I love you more than life itself. He couldn’t swear always but he could feel your hands in his and heard your voice through his fight until outside of his physical self to watch a heart breaking nestle of your body more into his neck and side when you knew he’d lost you.
He’d have to watch that moment when Thranduil, the man he knew to have been your true Mate all along moved to comfort you and promptly collapsed to the ground. Promptly luring his son and the Doctor to help him onto the window bench at the instant share of crippling pain you silently sobbed into your grandfather’s shoulder. All their lives their clan had mingled with yours and had loved the magnificent Dragon now on the wind as one of their own as both adopted father and grandfather in law and still the men in the room had to lift him up off the floor. He did wake up when you had calmed down to simply hear what the next steps were, just in time for Oropher to have arrived. Tearfully he stated, “I will keep him company, you honor his wishes if you will.”
This was the tradition, to never be left alone until set loose to find peace after a proper goodbye to this world and those left behind in it. And this was where he watched you on the sword’s edge of numb and internally a scorching wildfire of pain laced with wails of agony that contrasted the blotchy cheeked, teary eyed stoic façade you held so masterfully it broke his heart and those who caught sight of you. All the plans had been settled already in Melkor’s living will that was simply used like a set of crutches for you to stagger the way to the other side of whatever this sheer agony could be. With hands trembling you folded forward and set off the phone tree barely able to utter where you were to the lawyers who simply offered a code word to repeat if Melkor was gone and then he handled the rest of the calls and shared where they would meet you later on.
Tradition held special tasks and from the Hospital along with Melkor’s body you rode to the funeral home where minor details were to be handled. Cherry trees from the selection of grave markers in a great selection of the greenhouse, a rarely chosen breed of tree by other Elves, one of great importance to your kin. One that you imagined he would look so peaceful underneath the sea of scattered petals it would let loose annually and coat you with silent promises and messages written upon each. One that would grow big, strong and magnificent as he was and always would be, a place to go and sit with him. A place to remember and share the future.
Out of the bunch your fingertips stilled upon a branch that reached out to grab them and his marker was chosen and carried to be placed near to his body where Oropher held watch over and the hand of his adopted brother he shared hushed promises and reminders of all he had sworn to witness, support and uphold the honor you deserved to Melkor over the years when he had hints his time was on the horizon. Ribbons were next, everyone would have to choose one for a farewell of another kind. An urn came next for the transportation process after his cremation. “I’m right here,” again you managed to crack out in a whisper and from his head to his toes this process came next. Special oils and incense to be burned and hidden markers to place around the body layered in the traditional robe he had chosen for himself to spare you that task.
“I’ll stay,” Oropher stated in his body’s ease around yours for a warm loving embrace to show you weren’t alone. Forehead to forehead he rested in he release of his arms chased by a press of lips to your temple. “Go rest. I have more to say to the stubborn Dragon. Sleep in your bed he wanted me to have this night with him. Spend the night in the castle he watched you build and saved for you to raise a family in. And remember every promise of tomorrow to come while he lives on in that little voice inside of you to mentor every step you take no matter how silent or loud.” Promptly you buried yourself in his chest and claimed a long hug, that once it ended underneath the arm of your giant Dew Drop now with his own magnetic earring on his own ear to keep sane between bouts of cuddling when his ache to curl around you again became impossible to bear.
Lawyers and work came next and floods of paperwork and the shift of all the company and assets to your name and your name alone. In between two collections of legal bundles Thranduil murmured, “Text Thorin please. Reschedule your exam.” His hand reaching out to claim the white gold pen that trembled with the hand that held it he traded for your cell phone that hadn’t ceased to light up and buzz in the past three hours of having set off the first call of notices of emails and new calendar appointments to meet that were forwarded your way for the next steps in everything.
All the day prior on his time off Feanor however had taken it upon himself to argue Thorin off of his firm stance that his grade for your last assignment was justified. Before you had been given too low a grade and now against his argument on a point you had made in the latest paper on the design style assigned to you that was required to sketch a draft of the blueprint of at least part of it for what you would dream to use it for. Hours they debated over the final grade until Feanor’s final say card was played and the beyond agitated Dwarf who had been lectured on favoritism over three measly points locked himself in his rooms until he had to get ready for his classes. Earlier than usual his phone lit up and his head turned from his selection of a shirt, to it he crossed the room and lifted it from its charger to read from you, ‘Is there a way I could get another chance to take your exam another day?’
Again his argument flashed back in his mind and he rather flatly replied, ‘I promised no special treatment, if you’re not ready you’ll have to take the failing grade.’
Instantly he regretted the message that through the contact sent a pang of pain in his chest that dropped him to his knees with a loud gasp, the sheer volume of which brought Dwalin on his way past his rooms inside to see what was wrong. The room came back into focus after he’d dropped his phone and the thick arms of his cousin came to his attention as he was asked, “What is it?”
Shakily from the night stand his hand found the magnetic earring he clipped on instantly feeling relief. “Not sure, Jaqi asked for a reschedule on my exam.”
Dwalin let out a low growl, “I’m guessing you didn’t agree, just how’d you get on your knees?”
Thorin ran his hand over the still aching spot on his chest, “Felt like someone stabbed me in the chest. Couldn’t just be about the test, I can’t show her any favoritism. Feanor kept me up last night bickering over three points I gave her in her favor. They won’t let it go if I just let her skip exams. I wasn’t very harsh about it.”
“Must be something else then, she say why she had to miss it?”
“No, I didn’t ask.”
Dwalin let out a low grumble shaking his head before heading to wait for him downstairs, “You should have, when are you going to..” Dwalin simply sighed and said, “Talk it out when you take her the usual cider. Under what she’s facing she hasn’t missed a class yet and those massages are gradually fighting to help her back against the daily stresses. Has to be something.” Timidly with a glance at his phone still on the ground he bent to pick it up, slightly afraid that he would feel that pain again if he did.
Reluctantly he sighed and typed, ‘See you in a bit.’ And pocketed his phone to finish getting dressed so he could eat and get to school to find out what it is you needed to reschedule for.
Though he wouldn’t get an answer and around your back Legolas wrapped after having read the message that made your face scrunch up to a few moments battle against more tears. Thranduil however openly glared at your phone he was tempted to pick up and call the stubborn Dwarf who refused to help you in such a quick brush off to give him about a mile long of choice words to render that idiot to make him cry instead of their shared Mate. Softer his face switched and he said in a stroke of his hand across your back, “Worry about it later. He’ll change his mind.” You glanced his way and he gave you a gentle smile, “He’ll change his mind. Probably just caught him halfway through some nightmare where none of his suits fit or the blue ones are gone.” That made you roll your eyes and he leaned in to melt around your side for a hug and to press his lips to your temple, “Don’t mind the stubborn goat.”
 *
 “Where is she?” The words were rippled around by mouth and text between the Durin clan that saw neither you or Legolas. More sullen than usual Thorin sat with that cider on his desk you did not arrive to receive this morning. Lunch again found him on the prowl with eyes on swivel after a fifth unanswered text message sent your way.
“Blondie,” he all but growled at Haldir on his way to his next club meeting who stopped to peer up at the professor from his notes. “Where’s Jaqi? She talk to you?”
“Jaqi’s not here?” Haldir asked and Thorin huffed.
“Honestly, you were supposed to be one of her oldest friends.” Beginning to turn away to the sink of the Elf’s expression, “Just drop off first day.” Thorin again pulled out is phone on his path to find the usual table he plopped down at angrily across from his family, “Alright, no one’s heard from her?” Heads shook and plans to drop by your place after school to get to the bottom of it all since you’d fallen off of the grid, and not for the worst they hoped. Only there was no answer and no sight of vehicles in the driveway of your house or Oropher’s on their way home that gave hint that something was seriously wrong. Even calls to the Hospital they knew Melkor to have been in came up fruitless as they couldn’t release information to anyone but family.
 *
Seated in the center of your bed with your legs tucked tightly to your chest to the drop of what seemed to be the last of your tears from your swollen blood shot eyes that slid slowly down your cheek you watched as the news announcement finally came across the screen you had been staring at. Legolas from his scoot to the end of the bed to collect your phone when it sounded for a call from someone outside of all this, and knowing you couldn’t talk about this yet he answered the call and turned back to you. “I answered Fili’s call, told them about everything. They all are asking if you need anything.”  In your silence he settled back down beside you and left the phone at your feet to his father’s dry cracking whisper naming each of the tins of food he pulled out of the bags of dinner you had picked up on the way home.
To the sound of the clock ten times to mark another hour you hadn’t eaten your eyelids closed again with the sensation of glass being drug across your eyes then again when you opened them to look at your blotchy cheeked giant Dew Drop who waded through another sporadic wave of emotion he felt from being near you. Even with his magnetic earring when apart the pain was hard to sever from his own for who he had lost on top of what he felt knowing how badly you were suffering. And down his cheeks tears still streamed at their own leisure through his soft smile he sent your way.
He slid the trays closer to you both on top of the towel he spread out. Legolas sat up to claim his nearly soccer ball sized container of pasta and the fork that came with it. Gently your Dew Drop helped you un-clench your frozen legs with a kiss on your cheek, each movement seeming as if they’d break as the joints straightened again before he laid a second towel across your lap and piled a stack of pillows behind you then claimed the spot at your side grabbing his food as well.
“I don’t need anything,” you managed to squeak out finally. Around the raised edges of the foil tin your fingers trembled through the task of unfolding it from around the clear lid that once free you set aside. Somehow tasteless the incredibly delicious smelling pasta with fork in hand you took a first tentative bite of could not tempt even your taste buds out of this painful fog.
Thranduil in his own bite with a long reach claimed the remote out of your reach at the first image of you as a child in Melkor’s arms in a tour of his factory displaying your matching purple eyes and pitch black curls replayed once again changed the channel until it landed on Judge Blue. On the single channel not dedicated to this mind numbing loss a show centered around a televised courtroom marathon that while your food came to its end you sank together. Eventually to sprawl across the bed in a twisted pile with covers jerked over the three of you to the sound of the show left running in an attempt to keep your dreams from being painful.
 Without answer Thorin and Dwalin strolled down to dinner only to hear raised voices in the living room of the younger members of their clan who were near to the end of their rope when the answer finally came in across the news. “Maybe it’s another company party like last time,” Thorin murmured in their joint step through the doorway to see what was wrong.
“Party!! You think she’s going to a party!! HER GRANDFATHER DIED THORIN, SHE’S NOT PARTYING SHE’S BURYING THE LAST MEMBER OF HER FAMILY!!” Ori’s voice turned their heads to the lit up screen that showed the death notice of Melkor Mordor to the world. “All she asked for was to reschedule a test but no, you didn’t, cuz you didn’t let her explain, just spouted on about responsibility. Well you know what, she’s pretty damn responsible. But, she gets to keep her three jobs though, and the pompous ASS of a teacher who keeps glaring down at her for not shaking his hand, when she was told to be invisible and avoid all contact with people, seeing as she was always considered THE HELP by that WOMAN and her BRATS who have been trying to take everything not bolted down!!”
Ori tried to walk off mumbling in a mocking tone, “Oh, she won’t shake my hand, so I’m just gonna rain down hellfire upon her!!” Dwalin instantly grabbed his arm and folded him into a tight hug.
Fili said to Thorin as he brought out his phone again, “Said he started having cardiac arrest last night and he was gone this morning.”
Kili said in a lift of his phone, “Got an answer earlier, Leg picked up. Been at the Hospital, Funeral Home and with Lawyers all day. Non-stop. Just got back from his cremation.”
Thorin tearfully whispered, “So soon?”
His Mother Diaa who had entered the room from one of the side doors said, “That is how you bury Dragons. After the sunset of their passing when the other rights are concluded cremation allows the urn to rest until the funeral.” She looked to Thorin, “Only clans can touch their property until the next sunrise or it dishonors their lost one.”
“But we’re right next door. How are we supposed to just leave her to this alone?”
Diaa said, “After sunrise we can see what we can give her in means of aid and honor for Melkor.”
All night the pain that coursed through Thorin’s chest seemed to flood through the whole clan who went to bed uneasy. And still without contact beyond a message reading, ‘See you tomorrow.’ Across his bed he laid with full understanding of that pain he felt before. Unable to sleep alone Dwalin and his nephews all shared his bed while Thorin slipped in and out of nightmare after nightmare for an excruciating rest free night that would lead to the sunrise when he could go and see his mourning Mate.
Your alarm put the night to an end and to another round of glass that slid across your eyelids to the fingers that brushed the curls that laid across your face. In a rub of his puffy eyes Legolas silenced the alarm and said while his father unfolded from his place nestled around your back. When he eased back Legolas said, “I’m sure they’ll let you shift your exams.”
You cleared your burning sand coated throat trying to gain your steady voice again without luck, “I’m going.”
Thranduil sighed from behind you sitting up and curled you in his arms helping you up against his chest, “Let’s get you ready then, I’m off today so I’ll bring you lunch.”
You nodded and while Legolas went to his room to get ready Thranduil sweetly carried your stiff self to the shower. Outside of which he helped you out of your clothes and to a sweet kiss that your hand rose to draw him into the both of you stepped into the glass wrapped shower. Under the warm water your hands smoothed over your face to the firm hands of your loving giant behind you that firmly rubbed your arms and back in hopes to relieve some of the tension from still being in such a locked position for so long the night before. Dried and dressed while you went to help on breakfast you received a text from Thorin. ‘I am so sorry for yesterday. Feanor got under my skin and I was brash. Take today off you can take the exam when you feel ready to return to class.’
Deeply Thranduil sighed when he stood over your phone beside his, the latter he pocketed and lifted yours to do what he hoped would help you. A tap of his thumb on the answer icon and he lifted the phone to his ear, “Jaqi, how are you?”
“It’s Thranduil actually.” Through the line he could felt he shift in the air while Thorin to Dwalin’s confused look his way to his odd expression. “Jaqi’s getting breakfast ready. We offered to keep her at home, but she’s insisted to see how long she can manage.”
Dwalin asked to Thorin’s silence, “How is she handling, everything?”
Thranduil answered in restraint of a huff to the news he was on speaker, “Better than yesterday hopefully worse than tomorrow.”
Thorin finally asked, “Is there anything I can do?”
“Don’t touch her until she’s passed through this.”
Thorin’s brows pressed together while Dwalin’s did the same asking, “What?!”
Thranduil, “I’m not saying this as a hands off my woman, I’m telling you this for your safety and hers, you have no idea what’s coursing through her mind and heart right now so give her time.”
Thorin, “I’m not promising anything of the sort, if she wishes to come to me…”
Thranduil raised his free hand out in front of him as he spoke after pinching the bridge of his nose, “Thorin at least put on the earring.” Their eyes squinted a moment in confusion, “At least do that for her.”
Dwalin asked, “Anything else we can do?” Gripping Thorin’s shoulder to keep him from saying anything else.
Thranduil, “No condolences, she’ll talk about it when she’s ready.”
Thorin’s voice raised in irritation, “Oh really?! And just what are we allowed to do and say Thranduil?!”
Stepping closer to the bed ready to grab a pillow to throw Thranduil replied in a near growl, “You weren’t the one who had to pick her up off of the floor when he flat lined Thorin!! She collapsed and barely spoke for three hours after then we had to deal with lawyer after lawyer so don’t you dare demand anything from her!! You will sit and be silent and just let it hurt inside your chest because she’s doing everything she can to keep her pain from spilling out onto both of us, you know what happened when I went to lift her off the ground?! I blacked out! I’ve been with her the entire time he’s been sick, he’s been My Grandfather for over a decade, it’s devastating for me and Legolas as well and I still blacked out!”
Their lips parted in shock again while Thorin began to sink to the bed behind him with a hand that smoothed over his chest to a duller version of that same pain. “For nearly ten minutes, it hurts her that terribly that even just one touch and I was out, so do not push her today, for once in your damn life set it all aside and just focus on her pain. All she wants is to not have to fall apart right now. She lost everything, she loves me and Legolas but Melkor really was the last piece of it, the picture she had of her future how she imagined it as a child is just gone all she can do now is try to find her way back up to her feet again, can you manage that?!”
“Are you wearing an earring?” Thorin managed to whisper out.
“Those are my emotions you’re feeling. Don’t worry it’ll only last until she’s better.” He paused a moment and sighed again, “I know you want to help her. Just give her some space.” He glanced to the door hearing Legolas call for him to help with the feisty coffee machine again, “I’ll see you at the campus. I’m dropping her off today. See you then.”
The line cut off after Dwalin repeated the same and left the cousins to look at one another until Dwalin broke the silence. “I doubt he’d use this as a way to push you away from her, if she needs you she knows how to get to you, we won’t let her out of our sight so just focus on your classes.”
Thorin nodded and finished getting ready and growled, “I’m still taking her cider,” making Dwalin roll his eyes at his cousin’s stubbornness.
.
Parked near to the bike rack Thranduil gave you a kind grin and dropped his hand from the steering wheel to curl around yours. When his head turned to look your way you smiled at him faintly in all you could muster until his head leaned in to tap his forehead to yours. Just a moment the both of you got to rest your burning eyes again until his head pulled back and his free hand cupped your cheek lovingly, “If you want to leave at any time call me alright, I’ll be here for the first hour anyway, just in case.”
Right in you leaned to close the distance and press your lips to his in a sweet kiss that ended to the stroke of his thumb across your cheek. “I should be fine as long as no one talks to me.” He nodded and kissed you again.
Legolas said in his climb out, “I’ll keep an eye on her long as I can.”
He pressed another gentle kiss to your forehead as you grabbed your bags and climbed out heading to your first classes avoiding the groups of students who eyed you closely while you passed, all wishing to say something but unwilling to be the first. Legolas as long as he could kept you under his arm until he had to split away for his own class. Empty halls from the few crowded one with awkward pitying stares galore brought you to the final turn that landed Dwalin and Thorin in your view outside of your first classroom.
Dwalin glanced at Thorin seeing his stunned look as he trailed your path before them, whispering in Khuzdul, “She’s made it this long, must be a good sign. I was beyond inconsolable when my Amad passed.”
Thorin whispered back, “She looks absolutely miserable, why would he let her come at all today?”
Dwalin nudged Thorin’s arm gaining his full attention, “She’s able to choose when she’s ready Thorin, perhaps she might take tomorrow off, you never know.”
“Cider,” Thorin said extending the cup he had rested on top of his palm like an odd sort of gift you’re given in a video game.
“Thank you.” You said folding your hand around the cover for the disposable cup. After a sweep of their eyes over your sunken expression mid sip of the drink to think of what to say you said, “Feanor must have been quite an ass to have gotten to you that bad.”
Thorin rolled his eyes and shook his head, “Moron, something in the bloodline. Just out to make this difficult while they can.”
“Well as long as I pass the class I’ll be satisfied.”
“You’ll pass,” they both said.
Thorin said, “Amad planned another spa day at our place in a couple days for you.”
You nodded and said, “Good, maybe I can bribe Vili for more honeydew melon and cantaloupe. Our market is out and I can’t figure out where he smuggled it from.”
The duo smirked and Thorin said, “He grows it.”
Dwalin, “We’ll let him know. He’s always glad for tips on what you’d like more of as our newest body to nourish on spa days.”
Thorin blurted out, “Anything else?”
“I don’t really need anything.”
Thorin, “Well I have some stew and rice for you with some brownie cake squares Vili made sure I packed for you for today. Give you a sugar boost at least.”
“I sent you a package, by the way.” You said to Thorin whose brow arched up, “You’ve been feeding me, and it’s not much but the guys said something about you like to bounding.”
“What?” Thorin asked in a confused chuckle.
“You’ll get it, I think. Not like a full spa day, and it’s late for your birthday so just pretend its not.” You said and even though he could see the worried prickle of tears that began to try and flood into your eyes that darted away a few moments to calm down again he had to grin at the thought you’d bought him anything in return for his efforts so far.
“I am certain I will be amply surprised at what you have chosen as if it were my name day and it will be treasured always.” Thorin rumbled back.
“For all you know it’s a pen topper that wiggles when you write.” You said to try and be something close to your joking self.
Dwalin, “We would all be beyond honored to get a wiggling pen topper from our Mates.”
“Good to know for gift giving holidays that the bar is low.” He smirked again your way and to your step closer to Dwalin’s side to avoid being in view of Finwe on his daily gloating stroll the duo subtly adjusted their stance so at least for now he couldn’t gawk at you in your suffering as you tried to pretend to fix your loose curls that laid over your shoulder as if you hadn’t seen him. The pair of them remained there for a few more minutes until they knew the coast was clear for a close call of a walk to their classrooms once your Professor had arrived and let you inside.
Silently you claimed your same seat in your first class avoiding the eyes of everyone in the halls and class. Dropping the essay you’d finished two days before on the Professor’s desk as you entered, drew out your notebook and textbook readied to take notes. Pretending not to notice the Professor who gave the top of your head a remorseful glance before their lecture began.
Your next few classes were filled with the same awkward pitying gazes with the same spreading silence pooling out from around you that continued through your final class before lunch, which you ate seated in the back of Dwalin’s classroom so you wouldn’t have to be stared at by everyone in the courtyard. Ori had mentioned it in passing earlier on in the day and while he had to meet another Professor for lunch you had free reign of the room. Each of the young Durins filed into the seats around you and Thorin on his stop to join you with lunch tin in hand he settled carefully touch free in front of you then claimed the spot across from you where he wouldn’t risk a stolen brush of fingers or bump of toes. Thrandil’s request had been shared and explained the reason why out of all of them who crept in to steal cuddling moments as their kin usually did in times of loss your Mate amongst them was so distant.
Topic at hand avoided in attempts to make you laugh they each shared what they had heard about the flaws of the future plans for the fundraising marathon in a few weeks which didn’t even have a location yet while they’d sent out hundreds of flyers. Ori was the one to succeed however. When he’d shared they’d sent out for shirts in the opposing school’s colors with a third school’s mascot spread across the backs. The giggles from which left you wiping a burning tear from your cheek. Bifur’s class however came next and had Fili and Kili to surround you post comforting pat on their uncle’s back that they would keep good watch of you. The lot of them slightly relieved at the moment of laughter, no matter how brief while it faded and the tension rolled back into your posture for the stroll to where other eyes would be upon you once again.
Bifur’s class thankfully came on mainly empty walkways and brought with it freedom to not have to be asked anything. From the usual seats where you left your things to the cubbies that contained the projects and back again you moved with growing ease. Absent sounds of work around you helped to calm you down to focus solely on the task at hand, on thing that you could handle on your own. Mostly all of your carving was done so after a few final touches you spent the class polishing up your owl statue that you then added sealing coats that were left to dry in the vented area. Bifur all class strolled around making notes in his pocket journal for this class on how each project progression was coming along and paused to smirk in admiration of yours especially while it dried, fully pleased to grant you a passing grade on it.
.
Dwalin stood at his desk offering you a small smile that even with his best intentions made you want to hurt him for the pitying gaze at the notice of your nerves that climbed again, you handed him your essay and mumbled in Khuzdul, “Don’t make me hit you.”
He smirked at you against his willpower not to, “If it would help feel free to do so.”
You nodded as your lip quivered again, your voice trembling through the rough language again, “I may take you up on that.” Causing his smirk to grow larger as he watched you draw in a quick breath and head for your chair. And in the moment he saw a group of students starting to attempt to speak to you he began his lecture to lure their focus to him in a frenzy for the still standing class to draw out their supplies to start taking notes. With following confusion lasting for the first near twenty minutes until he passed out the surprise tests that he’d prepared.
He made certain to steal glances your way, silently ensuring in each of your usual reaction and to see if you’d reach the same rapid speed they were always completed in. A few questions between scans over the class he noticed a moment of confusion when you had frozen and then regained composure to finish with nearly an hour left. Shakily you found your feet and with hold of your things down to his desk you strolled to place the test on his desk. Softly to the smirk on his face you let out a sigh and failed to flash him a flinch of a grin that made him whisper lowly in Khuzdul, “Couch is free if you wanted to relax before your next class.”
You nodded and followed his pointed thumb to head through the open door to his small office. Setting your bag on the table in front of it and curling into the end of the large plushy couch. You grabbed the blanket folded over the back and covering yourself resting your head on the arm closing your eyes with another sigh doing your best not to think about anything at all just focusing on the clock ticking on the wall.
“She finished my exam early as usual,” he sent off to Thorin, who had been in wait of news on your progress so far and if you’d lasted this long.
To which Thorin exhaled once he’d read it and asked, “She walking here to be early? She’s done that before just waited in the hall. I could let her in if she has.”
“Napping in my office. Seems tired and wanted the privacy.”
“Good. Good.” Thorin sent the same word twice and simply pocketed his phone at a loss of what else to say while Dwalin smirked in the confidence building endurance their newest clan member was showing with a badly broken heart.
After class he collected the last of the tests and joined you in his office while the last of the students lingered trying to get another peek at you. To a huff you fumbled an attempt to refold his blanket, he chuckled and took hold of the other end and mirrored your folds, “You didn’t have to fold it again, Thorin’s the only one who does, the rest of us just toss it back on the couch.”
Fighting the urge to just drop the thick blanket you nodded mumbling, “Didn’t know that.”
“He’s an ass, we all know it, even he does and if you need to you can come back here if he’s staring or breathing or anything that’s bothering you.”
“You did warn me though about the foot in the mouth thing.” Eying the group of students filing in for his next class, “I should go.” He smirked grabbing the blanket after the last fold and tossed it onto the couch. Promptly to freeze facing the wall as you pressed against his chest settling your hands on his sides in a timid half hug that deepened when he gently curled his arms around your back and pulled tighter as you sighed curling your arms around his back. He held you there for a few moments before you slowly pulled back and he reluctantly released you, “Thank you Dwalin.”
He smiled at you with a slight nod, “Anytime, keep me posted on that punch.” Drawing a soft attempt at a chuckle while you left, pulling out his phone to text Thorin to leave his office open for after his exam and that you might be a couple minutes late so act distracted to miss the normal prompt locking of the door.
From the growl worthy entrance of Feanor to the screen of his phone Thorin looked then strolled to the doorway to keep his usual pattern. Each student who passed him slightly afraid of the exam they saw only deflating expressions on the faces of the students in the class prior exiting. And behind the crowd of bodies with a careful nudge of the toe of his other shoe his lace on the other was undone to allow a distraction to take up a few moments at least. One that he pretended to take notice of when you were a few feet away and made a show of his drop to his knee to retie his shoe. And one that had him smirk as you muttered on your way past him, “So subtle. Careful or you might tear that suit of yours.”
Feanor’s usually smug self in the room was hard to miss although today his expression was that of remorse for his being a bother today having himself lost his mother in his formative years. Fully across your face he could read emotions that crept back up in his own mind of that pain that bubbled to the surface again of the wonderful woman he barely got a chance to know except by story from those who loved her as he did. To the lock of the door he focused on his notes and not the glances stolen by Thorin your way from the pass of exams out to his second glance at his office he’d readied the class before. Snacks he usually had hidden were settled on the table with a few water bottles and the thick flannel he kept on his plushy couch were all laid out with care.
Behind his desk he sat with eyes that scanned over everyone and an unnoticed check of his earring every time you had unconsciously checked yours. Always he made certain you were in the corner of his view and he did what he could to not smirk when he took notice that as always you were one of the first ten to complete his exams once again. Bag in hand you stood against the plummet of all your energy stores and lifted the thick exam packed you carried down to Thorin’s desk to add to the pile already there. And before your eyes could drop to the wooden surface he murmured in Khuzdul, “There’s a couch in my office if you want to rest.” You nodded and he continued, “Help yourself to what’s in there.”
Open mouthed the female students in the room gawked at the blatant confirmation of a relationship between you two at his allowance to be inside his private office. A walk that had his eyes on Feanor in his own rise to his feet to approach the Professor’s desk in his usual way instantly causing him to inhale deeply to remain calm. Once at Thorin’s side he lowered to say, “I will be by tomorrow to collect this exam.” And after Thorin’s confirming glance you had left your bag on the chair beside the couch and then back to the visitor who said, “As far as I am concerned we are here to audit on fairness, not your compassion. My Ada barely speaks of my Naneth since he remarried, for a time she was my everything. Miss Pear lost her everything, and when she completed her exam I left the room. I will see you tomorrow for that exam.” Their eyes met again after Thorin’s had detailed his facial expression and the visitor promptly rose and turned to stroll out of the classroom with bag in hand.
Over the table your eyes danced to a hint of a smile that spread across your lips to the spread he had set out for you. Down onto one of the plushy cushions you sat and removed your shoes to curl up on the couch underneath the flannel you unfolded to lay down with hold of the pillow he’d added as well. Deep and sudden you dropped into a nap. Lost to dreams that whirled in nonsense surrounding your classes and the other students. Twisting into some strange soap opera that ended with a strange posssed doll that had triggered Ori into a mass killing spree by means of his vast army of birds while Fili and Kili reinforced him with their polar bear cub forces.
Thorin between glances your way got to grading the finished exam and others that he could until time was called and he put them away at the emptying of his remaining students. And once alone he strolled with his bag in hand to his office where he found you curled up adorably with your stubborn curls pooled into your face. Silently he stole a picture on his phone he pocketed and stepped closer asking, “Jaqi?”
Legolas from the doorway of his class watched him in his lean forward with hand extended to brush your curls from your face, asking again, “Jaqi?” Ever so gently as Legolas sped to the office to stop him his fingers brushed your cheek and promptly his eyes rolled back and his body gave out to the invisible force that slammed into his torso. Fully winded in that unseen blow that renewed that searing pain in his chest in the now darkened room he heard a disbelieving huff and arms circle him to catch his fall. Lost to the world and regrettably unconscious images of your grandfather and yourself flooded every last corner of his mind in what seemed to be a replay of the past 15 years he had been yours. Images that ended to the collapse of your body around Melkor’s on that bed to the steady ring of that heart monitor muffled by sobs he knew to have been from his Mate.
Slumped in one of the large chairs Thorin opened his eyes to the ceiling and focused the both of them ahead in their delirious wish to keep rolling around the ceiling to look around the room for someone who could explain what happened and why his chest felt like it was on fire and being torn apart all at the same time. And all he could do when he saw Thranduil staring back at him with arms rested across the legs you had eased across his lap in a slumbering familiarity to his being you loved to sprawl across. Disappointment read clearly across his face as he said, “I did warn you.”
Thorin nodded and inched up in his chair with a painful groan to another wave of pain in his chest and asked, “How long did this last for you after?”
Thranduil, “It hasn’t stopped. Like I said before it won’t until she starts to feel better. Did she finish her exam?”
Thorin nodded with a pained expression as you curled tighter again around the pillow while Legolas seated on the arm of he couch by your head rubbed your back in hopes of calming you, “She did, bit slower than normal but I’m sure she did well enough.”
Dwalin helped Thorin steady himself as he stood while Thranduil gently uncovered you curling you against his chest in place of the pillow he replaced with his torso to cling to while Legolas grabbed your things, “I’m going to get her back home. She starts to hum when she sleeps like this and people tend to flock and freeze no getting her to the car then.”
The Durins nodded and Thorin said, “If she’s not feeling better tomorrow I can make sure she gets copies of all the notes from her other classes.”
Thranduil, “We’ll have to wait and see, if she doesn’t I’ll make sure to text you or throw a message wrapped rock at your house something.” They nodded and watched as he carried you to Thranduil’s vehicle.
Less than pleased with full knowledge of what his Mate was now suffering Thorin rode home with his cousin and grumbled in the passing of your home where the pain grew then waned again as he passed. It didn’t help that he now knew what was behind that struggle to not cry. A feeling that had him wish to do more to help however he could. Yet inside the front door he was met by his widely smiling sister and mother who announced he had a package that was in the parlor for a full family audience, and by the size of it he could only smile with wonder for what you chose. Large enough to have both of his nephews in it the box was opened with the slice on the tape and under a layer of bubble wrap he chuckled at the plushy sheep’s wool blanket of a more furry than woven variety that his hands smoothed across then handed to Dwalin in notice of more in the box.
Two wool knitted plushy sheep shaped pillows were lifted next, both almost the size of pumpkins with dark grey faces, one with black fur and the other with white. Lowly he chuckled turning them both over in hand before he lifted the final gift. A brown curved horned ram pillow that was roughly four feet long with looped ears and an animated ^w^ face on a thick cylindrical body that earned another louder laugh and had him look to his nephews. “Why does Jaqi say you told her I like bounding?”
Fili and Kili both answered through amused grins, “Battle Ram.” Making him shake his eyes and gather his gifts that they both captured a picture of him holding all of them on his way up to his room they would send to you later to ensure you got enough sleep.
Make Him Happy
Summary: You ignore Kili and he confronts you about it.
Pairing: Kili x Reader
Word Count: 1226
Part 1: Let Him Go
Part 3: Hold Him Close
Master Lists: Drabbles/Imagines, and Completed Series
It's a relief when Bilbo breaks you out of the cells. Bilbo releases you last and as you walk out, you realize Kili is waiting for you with a smile on his face. He makes a grab for your hand, but you pull back, ignoring the look of hurt that crosses over his face.
Kili grabs your arm, stopping you. "What's wrong?" He asks, concern written all over his face. "Why don't you go ask that elf of yours? You seem to care more about her anyway," you hiss, pulling out of his grip and turning around. He hops around you, a very dangerous move, and you huff at him. "You honestly don't believe that I care about her more than you do you?" He asks. "Of course I do!" You snap, hair reaching for your braid. "You spent your whole night speaking to her and the look in your eyes looked as if you loved her and yet I have never received that look in the three months that we've been courting. She makes you happier than I ever could and I just want that for you," you say, reaching for his hand and placing his courting bead in there You walk pass him, holding back a sob and follow the rest of the company down to the cellars. "This is their cellars," Kili snaps and this is the first time you've seen him do so to the hobbit. He and Fili were probably the closest to him and never so much as shouted at him. You did suppose that it was your fault. "Kili was never known to snap at people," Thorin says from beside you. "And I was never known to stay in a relationship where the other was in love with someone else," you retort. "Judging by the look of utter horror on his face as you returned your courting beads, he is not in love with someone else. If anything you over reacted," Thorin says before walking forward to stand next to the hobbit. You shake your head. Thorin had very little words of expertise, but when he did he was always right. You climb into a barrel as instructed by Bilbo but you have to squat to do so and by the time you're in a comfortable position, you are screaming down a gate that lead to a river. Where was Bilbo? You look around and the gate opens again. Bilbo splashes into the water and you lift him up and place him Ori's barrel. The two of them were the smallest and they could fit together. When you all get stuck at the closed gates, you notice your idiot climbing out of his barrel. "What is he doing?" You mutter to yourself. You climb after him, killing the orcs that tried to attack him from behind. Kili ends up on the ground and is about to be killed by an orc. You are too far away to help him. The orc dies a second later by the same elf you didn't like. After watching her kill more orcs, you can't help but think she was more useful than you. You couldn't even shoot a bow and arrow and preferred swords and daggers which makes you think that what you and Kili had was just a passing fancy because you had nothing in common. Your ears pick up the pulling of a bow string and you turn to find Bolg, Azog's spawn, notching an arrow. You tackle Kili out of the way and the arrow embeds itself into your side. Kili opens the gate quickly and jumps down into the barrel. You follow as well, letting out an ear percing scream as the shaft breaks off. "Y/n!" You hear Kili shout but you ignore it, trying to get lower into the barrel. The arrow was definitely poisoned and you needed to heal yourself soon or you were not going to make it through the night. You let out whimpers as you are thrown side to side. When was the river going to end? Your question gets answered quickly as you stop by a bank. You tumble out of your barrel and take a seat on a rock, assessing your wound. Kili comes over to you and you slap his hand away as he reaches out for you. "Mahal woman, just because you think I don't love you doesn't mean that I actually don't," he snaps. "Why don't you go back to looking at that other elf? You seemed more interested in her anyway." "Maybe I will. She's prettier than you anyway," he snaps back. You push his hand away and move to a different rock. Oin comes over quickly to bind your wound and you know that the tears streaming down your face is not only from the wound. Fili comes to kneel in front of you. "What has been going on?" He asks. "Nothing of your concern." "I think it is. Kili has been in a foul mood and so have you. Something happened." You scoff. "What your brother does with his life is no business of mine," you reply before you hear an arrow being shot and a bowman ready to attack.
There has been so much going on that you had forgot that you were supposed to be healing yourself which is why you were currently limping to kill the orcs that attacked Bard's house. Fili, Oin, and, to your surprise, Kili, hadn't gone on the boat that was set for Erebor. They immediately got off the boat after Thorin denied your trip due to the fact that you might slow them down. The glare you received from Thorin could've killed you right then and there. You are grateful that two elves drop in to help you. You thought you were going to die. When the orcs are taken care of, you finally let out a scream that you've been holding in since the fight started. Sigrid rushes over to put your arm over her shoulders to steady you. She leads you to the table to rest and you lie on top of it. "Please," you hear Kili beg, but you close your eyes as another wave of pain hits you. "Hold her down!" Suddenly you are being held down by four dwarves and two humans. The red head places the kingsfoil on your wound and you start thrashing as she starts chanting. When it's all over, she begins to wrap your waist, sitting you up. You look at her in a dazed state. "I wish I had your beauty," you say and she pauses to look at you, "maybe he would look at me the way he looks at you." She looks at something behind you before turning back to her task. "He loves you. Of that I am sure," she responds. "If only that were true. Ever since he met you, I am pushed into the shadows. I've seen the way you look at him and he, you. You make each other happy. You make him happy and that is all I can ask for even though it is not I that does so." Although it broke your heart, you had to let him go because you know deep down that she could make him happy. Something that you doubted you could do.
