Imagine the dwarves being super outraged when they find out you've been made fun of because of your body hair. As someone who was often a bit hairier than my peers I was often teased because of it. So just imagining the dwarves telling you your body hair is beautiful and you're absolutely gorgeous the way you are is honestly the sweetest thing ever to me. I just know they would totally kill anyone with an axe who dares mock their loved one

Stranded (Drabble)
Tumblr media
Another fic that I should have worked on a LONG time ago, and has been sat in my inbox for nearly two years. Requested by @lathalea with the arranged marriage trope mashed up with being stranded due to weather, with our favourite Dwarf King.
I'm only tagging @littlesweetdressmaker (at her specific request)
I know this is probably longer than a drabble, but it's just intended to be a very short piece and that's why I'm not tagging anyone, unless they specifically request.
Tumblr media
The wind whirled outside, shaking the roof of the small hut where you and Thorin had taken refuge. The snow was now so deep that you could barely open the door, so you were grateful that Thorin had already chopped some branches from a nearby tree, as the snow got heavier, for you to use as firewood.
The storm had hit suddenly, out of the blue, only a week before your wedding. Thorin was still confused as to why you had volunteered to go with him on a private meeting. The meeting was due to take place the following day with his cousin, Dain. Thorin hoped that Roac would come to their aid shortly, and be able to send a message on to Dain, confirming that Thorin would not be in attendance.
“Once the snow has cleared, I will be returning to Erebor with you, to not only attend your wedding, but make sure you get home safely,” Thorin ordered. “The meeting with Dain can be re-arranged.”
“I feel guilty for being the reason that your meeting will be cancelled,” you said softly. Your gaze scanned the floor, locking on your boots. In truth, you wanted to be away from Erebor as long as possible, as it meant you would remain unmarried. Your father had arranged for the marriage a few years ago. But now you had returned to Erebor from the Blue Mountains after Thorin had been victorious at the Battle of Five Armies, your father had renewed the arrangement.
“You seem pensive,” Thorin said, rubbing his hands together over the small open fire. The hut was fairly well stocked with blankets, but other items were scarce. His silver-blue gaze drifted over you, and he noticed you shiver.
Thorin grabbed a blanket and curled it around your shoulders.
You could smell his earthy scent and the penetration of his gaze made you swallow hard and your heart race. He was so breathtakingly beautiful and had always seemed so unaware of that fact.
The two of you looked at each other for a few seconds, and slowly, Thorin moved towards you.
You took a sharp intake of breath just as his lips pressed to yours. Heat rose, and in those moments, all you cared about was him. In fact, for the last year, all your world had been was him. But he had never known.
As your kiss ended, he curled his hand around your flushed cheek. Tears began to well in his eyes as he knew that you were betrothed to someone else and would never be his.

Tumblr media
You couldn’t help but feel giddy. More then once your hand would raise to the newly formed braid in your hair. It rested beside your left temple and you could still feel the warmth of Kili’s fingers where he had braided it not even a few hours ago. It felt strange to have a new braid, but one you were more then proud to wear. The bead and braid both signified your status with the Royal Family. But more then that. It told the world that you and Kili belonged to one another.
Placing the last of the packs onto the cart, you gave a small nod to the driver who stirred the ponies into motion and began carting the now loaded goods back to Erebor. You had been traveling with the tradesmen to exchange goods with a nearby village. Your ailing father had not been able to make the trip, and being his only child, the duty had fallen on your head. Two members of the Royal Family, namely Thorin and Kili had decided to accompany the party in hopes of forming some alliance with the village Master.
It had been the night before that Kili had requested your presence. You had been confused at his strange behavior. Normally, Kili would be full of words and he never had a problem to articulate them. That night though, he had been stumbling over his words and when he had finally caught on to your confusion, he had simply held the bead out to you.
To say you were shocked would be an understatement.
It was true your feelings for the young prince were rather strong and deep, but you had never imagined that his ran just as deep as yours. Tears had filled your eyes, but you had blinked them away before reaching up to pull down the hood of your cloak. Kili had stepped closer, his fingers reaching out to take a section of your hair which he then began to braid. The two of you were silent as he expertly attached the bead with his family crest at the end of the now finished braid. The silence made the moment all the more intimate.
As soon as it was done, you gave him no warning before you had jumped into his arms had embraced him tightly. The small clearing now rang with joyous laughter as he spun you around, before setting you down and sealing the moment with a kiss.
You were so lost in reliving the memory of last night that you did not notice the strange dwarf approaching you from behind. Not until it was too late.
Fleeing was not an option, as several dwarfs began to attack the ones she had come with. You could only struggle helplessly as you and several other dwarfs were thrown in the back of a cart and the thieves made quick work of escaping, taking whatever loot they had gathered, and whoever they had captured.
Including you.
                                              -------------------------
It had all happened rather quickly.
The dwarfs had taken several hostages, including you, but it had taken next to no time for the soldiers of Erebor to be dispatched to rescue everyone. However, the few hours you were held hostage was enough for a few things to transpire.
One of the kidnappers was tormenting an old dwarf, kicking him around to make him walk faster. Not being able to sit quietly, you had snapped at the abuser, prompting him to turn his attention to you. He had told you to shut up, before turning back to his previous task. You had picked up a rock and thrown it at his head, the small projectile meeting its mark.
Only once his attention turned to you, did you realize that perhaps you shouldn’t have done that. He marched over to you, before yanking you away from the group of kidnapped dwarfs huddled together for safety. You had kicked and screamed the entire time, yet your cries fell on deaf ears. Multiple kicks were aimed at your torso and face, yet they did not hurt as much as when the dwarf yanked at your hair.
Once his greedy eyes landed on the bead Kili had gifted you, his lips pulled into a menacing smile. Pulling out a wicked looking dagger, the dwarf carelessly chopped off the braid Kili had so lovingly braided. You barely noticed as the steel of the blade cut across your forehead, you cried in despair as the braid with the bead was thrown in a nearby fire where it smoldered to nothing.
It was only seconds later that the warriors sent to rescue you fell upon the enemy emitting blood curdling war cries. Yet you barely noticed as you continued to stare into the depths of the small fire, tears filling your eyes, as you mourned the loss of something so small, yet so significant.
Feeling a warm hand being placed on your shoulder, you glanced up to see Dwalin looking down at you with a kind and gentle expression. Slowly, you allowed him to guide you to where his pony stood waiting. He helped you onto the animal, before getting behind you. You barely noticed anything and anyone around you as the triumphant rescue party began to trek back to Erebor with the kidnappers in tow.
                                             -------------------------
To say Kili was beside himself with worry would be an understatement. The moment he had realized what had happened, and that you had been one of the dwarfs kidnapped, he had wanted to take the first pony and run after you. His uncle, however, had other ideas. Fear of this being a plot to draw the royals of Erebor out in the open, Thorin had decided to send his best warriors, led by Dwalin, to retrieve you and the other dwarfs. Still it did not stop Kili from screaming at his Uncle to let him go, neither did it stop him from telling Fili off for siding with Thorin.
His heart felt as if it would beat right out of his chest. His mind raced with thoughts of you. Every single moment you had both shared, before being replaced by the sight of you broken and hurt lying somewhere out in the open. For hours he paced the ramparts of the mountain, looking over at the horizon, to try and catch a glimpse of the returning warriors.
It was a few hours later that he heard the distant call of a horn. All over the mountain horns began to blow, signalling the return of the rescue party. Kili was the first one at the gates, straining to catch a glimpse of you as the small band of dwarfs approached. Dwalin rode at the very front and reached first. He was quick to dismount, before moving to help lift your trembling body from the back of the pony and set you on the ground.
A wave of dizziness overcame you, as you swayed on your feet, yet the feeling of two familiar arms wrapping around you and supporting your body, was able to give you a little strength. You raised your wide eyes to look at Kili’s face. The sight of him, looking so worried and relieved, broke whatever shred of control you had as you collapsed against him and began to sob over your loss.
“I’m sorry, Kili. I am so sorry. I-I lost the bead you gave me. T-th-they cut my braid and I tried to save the bead but they threw it in the fire. I-I c-couln’t-” Here your strength seemed to fail you as your knees collapsed underneath you. Luckily, Kili was there to catch you. Wrapping his arms more firmly around your frame, he pulled you close. Briefly the world around the two of you disappeared as he comforted you.
His face was buried in your hair as he whispered sweet nothings and reassurances in your ear. Tears streamed down your cheeks and onto his clothes as the trauma finally registered in your mind. So far you had been focused on protecting and helping the other captives. But now? With Kili’s arms around you, you simply could not hold yourself together. Your body shook with each sob as Kili pressed a kiss to the top of your head.
The Dwarf Clan that had decided to attack the citizens of Erebor were more then a little nervous now. They had no idea who you were. No idea that you were the betrothed of a Prince of Erebor. Each dwarf shuffled nervously as Kili finally raised his head to look at each of the dwarfs in turn.
His eyes held a rage that made his hands tremble as his gaze swept over the villains. They would pay. Every single one of them would be held accountable for the horror they had inflicted upon his beloved.
“My son?”
His attention was briefly diverted by the presence of his mother. Behind her stood his Uncle and brother, alongside many other dwarfs who were greeting their own loved ones that had been kidnapped. When they had arrived, Kili had no idea. Dis reached out to gently extract you from his embrace. Kili moved to protest but a look from his mother had him stay silent. “I shall take care of Y/N. See her injuries are not severe.” Her eyes flitted to the captured dwarfs. Kili could see fury in his mother’s eyes as well, mirroring his own. But he knew Y/N needed to be taken away. He had no desire for you to see what he was about to do the captured dwarfs.
Nodding, Kili reached out to press a kiss to your forehead. “I will see you soon, my heart.” He whispered to you in Khuzdul. You raised your tear-stained cheeks to meet his gaze as Dis gently pulled you away. You followed the motherly dwarf after a parting look to your betrothed.
Once you had safely entered the mountain, Kili turned his attention back to the Dwarf Clan that had dared take you from him. He glanced at his brother and Uncle. The former’s anger was equal to his own, since he considered you family and hated to see you hurt and in despair. His Uncle simply raised his hand and spoke. “They will be punished however you see fit, sister-son.”
The dark look that crossed over Kili’s features had the Dwarf Clan regretting what they had done, and praying he would show some leniency.
                                             -------------------------
As soon as you had returned to your chambers, Dis had shooed your handmaidens so that they may prepare a warm bath. The older female dwarf had held you close to her side as the handmaidens prepared the bath for you. Though as soon as everything had been laid out and she was in the large tub, you spoke.
"If you don't mind, Mother, I want to be alone."
You didn't want be in anyone's presence at the moment, wanting to grieve the small yet significant loss on your own. Dis seemed to understand the reasoning behind your words and gave a small nod. Once the handmaidens had departed, Dis leaned down to press a motherly kiss to your brow.
"If you need to speak to anyone my dear, let me know." With a parting smile she left.
You had no idea how long you sat in the tub for. Her hand hung around you, unbound and free, floating in the warm water. Taking a small breath, you submerged completely in the water, closing your eyes as you allowed the warmth of the water to envelope your tired aching body. You could've stayed down in the cocoon of safety forever, but you needed to breath.
Emerging from the depths, you took a deep breath.
You didn't know for how long you sat in the water, feeling utterly numb and refusing to let yourself acknowledge what had happened. Perhaps it would be wise to simply move forward from the event.
Pretend it hadn't even happened.
It wasn't until you started to shiver from the now cold water that you stepped out of the bath, and wrapped a warm thick robe around your body. Water trickled from your hair, leaving a small puddle as you walked towards the vanity. Your fingers brushed against the handle of your comb when your gaze shifted to look in the mirror. The sight of your empty eyes, and the lack of the braid Kili had so lovingly put in your hair was the breaking point.
A whimper echoed in your chambers, followed by the sound of sobbing as you let loose the pain and horror. It finally sank in just how frightened you had been. Terrified. And amidst what had happened, you had lost something so so so precious.
The thought only made you sob all the more harder.
You didn't hear the door to your room opening, didn't catch sight of the pained look that overtook Kili's features as he ran to gather you in his arms.
"What is it my heart? What hurts?" He asked, checking you over to make sure there was no serious injury. You shook your head, just clutching to him. It took a little while before your sobs subsided and you calmed down enough to take a deep breath and speak.
"I'm sorry." The word hadn't even left your mouth before Kili cut you off. "You need not be sorry for anything my love. Nothing is your fault." His hand gently caressed the small area near your forehead where your braid had hung just this morning. You averted your gaze, shame coloring your cheeks, but he grasped your chin, and gently turned your head to look at him.
"I ran into Mother on my way hear. And she gave me something." So saying, he reached into a pocket and pulled out a small bead. It was beautifully crafted, and she could see the skill behind it despite the tears still welling in her eyes.
"My father gave this to my mother, when they were betrothed. And now she wants you to wear it." Your eyes widened and you shook your head. "Kili, I couldn't this is your father's gift to your mother." You said, leaning away from him slightly.
He smiled. "She considers you a daughter Y/N, she offered this to you. But should you feel strongly about it you can wear this for a few days while I create another betrothal bead for you." He said, his fingers already grasping a new section of your hair. You were silent as he began to braid your hair anew. With each lock of hair intersecting, you could feel your soul being pieced together once more.
Finally, Kili clicked the bead into place, and smiled at you. "Just as beautiful as ever." He said, his eyes meeting yours.
An involuntary giggle fell from your lips at his shameless flirting. One of the many traits that had won you over. "Thank you Kili." You closed whatever space was left between the two of you and pressed your lips to his.
His fingers buried in the hair at the back of your head as he returned the embrace. It was sweet, slow and seemed to sooth whatever leftovers the both of your had. And as he held you, you couldn't help but feel safe and loved.
"I love you, Kili." You breathed against his lips. You could feel him smile gently in response before he whispered back his response.
"And I you, Y/N."

A Life We Can Have
Tumblr media
Beorn x Reader
Warnings: injury
Summary: After an unlucky night where you were chased by Orcs, your life forever changes when a huge bear saves you.
Tumblr media
You wake up with a sudden realization.
You had no idea where you were, or how you got there.
All you could recall from the night before was that a bunch of Orcs were after you as you ran through the woods.
With a bleeding leg and a possibly broken wrist, you tried to dodge their arrows.
You ran fast but they managed to catch up. One of their wolves bit your ankle, making you fall and let out a groan of pain.
You could recall the loud noises the orcs made, you remember crying and the pain in your ankle and wrist getting worse.
Then a giant bear came out of nowhere and killed them all.
Your last thought was that you would be the dinner for this bear. You weren't exactly sure what happened after that at all.
But somehow, you woke up in this rather nice and cosy house.
As you moved, you let out a groan, the pain in your body finally setting in. You ran for so long, your feet hurt. Your ankle hurt where the wolf bit you and your wrist hurt because you fell and injured it.
You looked around the house, but no one was there.
You thought a giant might have lived there, given how huge everything was.
You were only a simple human, but you were well aware of all creatures that lived on this Earth with you. But you had no clue what kind of a creature would live in such a house.
You slowly got off the bed and made your way over to the table where you found bread, so you took a little.
This is when you hear the noise of someone chopping wood.
Being mindful of your leg, you slowly walked out and this is when you saw him.
His back was to you, and you took a moment to take him in.
He was huge, he easily chopped the wood with his giant axe. His back was covered in scars and along his spine he had hair going down, it looked more like fur.
A very hairy man, but who were you to judge?
You heard stories of a beast living alone in the woods. He cared for the animals but he didn’t like company.
A fierce man, who was now chopping wood in front of you.
You weren’t sure if you should talk to him or not, one thing was for sure, you didn’t want to startle him.
“Umm.” you started but as soon as you did he turned around, with that huge axe in his hands.
“You should be resting, you hurt your leg very badly.”
“I-I did but… Am I at your house?”
“Yes.” he replied with a lot of annoyance in his voice and you nodded.
“So, you saved me last night from the bear? Thank you.”
“Go back to bed. I’ll prepare some tea once I finish chopping the wood.” you didn’t argue, why would you? Or rather how could you?
The man was huge but you saw him more as a gentle person, despite his rough edges.
And you also feared that instead of the wood, he would chop you in half.
You just slowly moved back into the house and sat on the chair by the huge table. Your leg did hurt and your wrist was throbbing a little, but your mind was still running at a hundred miles. You tried to recall what happened but couldn’t.
You knew you fainted, but then what happened to the bear? Did this man scare it away? Did he fight it?
He did look rather dangerous with his axe. Maybe he could take the bear in a fight.
Whoever this man was, he certainly lived alone, looking around his home it was cosy, but it didn’t have the touch of a female, clearly, he was a bachelor. Not that it was a problem, it was only an observation on your part.
You needed to think of other things because if you didn’t, the pain would hit you.
You heard him enter through the door as he soon headed for the stove. In complete silence, he started to make tea for you as you munched on the bread you took earlier.
He clearly didn’t have many visitors. You watched as he worked, trying your best to ignore the pain, you watched his hands work, you watched as a shackle was on his wrist, it must have been there for some time now.
He soon put a cup in front of you.
“Drink it and leave.”
“Uhm, but my ankle…” you were very much up playing the pain. It made the huge man in front of you groan.
“Alright, you can stay until you get better. I’m not too fond of visitors.”
Clearly. But he will have to deal with you because you don’t plan on leaving anytime soon. Especially not when there are Orcs in these woods and you have only one working leg.
Even if the pain wasn’t that bad, you still preferred the comfort of a home over the cold floors of the forest.
---
"What is this?" you asked him as you munched on the deliciousness in your hand.
"Honey cake."
"I really like it." you said. "Did you make it yourself?"
"I did."
"It's really really good."
He didn't reply, but you didn't expect him to.
Your leg and wrist felt much much better now. His herbs worked better than magic.
You also noticed that slowly, he warmed up to you. He even offered you his smaller room so you didn't have to sleep on the hay or floor.
He was a strange man.
Affectionate, yet he looked afraid of it.
You could see that deep down, he was a very warm person. However, the terrible things that happened to him, made him cold.
Winter was near.
So Beorn told you that you will need to help him with his farm and animals. You had no problem with that. Given that you grew up on a farm, and you loved to help.
And by the time the snow arrived, his home was ready for the harsh winter.
And so were you.
You made clothes for yourself and him. He didn't really want to take the clothing but now, he wore it every day. He said it was so warm, he enjoyed it.
It filled you with pride that he wore the clothes you made, he ate the food you prepared and he listened to you.
In return one evening, he told you a story, a story of his own, his terrible past and what he went through.
You cried that day, letting the tears fall as he reached over to wipe your tears away.
"Why are you crying?" he asked.
"My heart breaks for you. No one deserves that kind of torture." you said as you lifted your hand and touched the shackle on his wrist.
That day, Beorn promised himself he would never tell you another story of his.
He hated to see you cry.
He wanted to see you laugh, like you laughed when you played with his horses or bees.
How or when you became so important to him was a mystery to Beorn, but here he was now.
He sat in his chair as he watched you, you were making a blanket. You said his house was rather cold for you, so you needed something warm. He wanted to offer that he could sleep with you so you wouldn't be cold but he didn't want to cross that line.
He was sure you only viewed him as a friend and nothing more.
You often found yourself babbling and telling him stories. Stories he most likely would call nonsense.
But in truth, he loved listening to you talk. Every story he remembers and could recall at any moment.
One evening, after dinner, you just sat on the couch he made for you, you cuddled up with your blanket and a book when Beorn joined you. It was snowing heavily outside, so he wouldn't go out for his usual runs.
He sat down and you offered him a smile before you looked back at your book.
But out of the corner of your eye, you could see he was staring at you.
"Is there something on my face?" you asked but he shook his head, no.
He was behaving strangely. You tried your best to focus on your book but it was difficult.
"What are your plans once winter is over?" oh, he wanted you out of his hair.
"I-I-You don't have to worry, I'll leave as soon as I wouldn't freeze to death in the woods. I really appreciate your hospitality and I don't want to bother you longer than needed," you said but didn't look at him.
"It's no bother. I was asking only because then we could make you a bed."
"I have a bed." you looked at him, confused.
"You have a mattress, I was thinking of making a bedframe, so it is more comfortable."
"So you want me to stay?"
"Only if you want to."
"I would love to. I enjoy your land very much. The beautiful trees and the animals. I can only imagine what it must look like during the spring."
"Is my home the only thing you enjoy about being here?" you looked at his face as he avoided your eyes.
"What are you asking?" your voice was quiet, and he finally looked at you.
"I grew very fond of you, I never imagined myself in this situation, but... Love is not something I believe I deserve. I am a monster, my past is... awful. I do not deserve such a flower like you. But I also won't be able to let you go. Only if you reject my feelings- I want you to be happy here with me. But if you choose to leave, I won't force you to stay." his words honestly surprised you, you never expected him to confess to you.
"I would love to stay with you. I just wasn't sure of your feelings. You hide them very well."
"It is a skill I learned." you smiled at his comment.
He moved towards you and you moved with him, he pulled you into his arms and you never felt warmer.
It was quiet, you could hear his heartbeat and the fire crackle behind you.
"You deserve happiness as much as anyone." you said as he tightened his hold around you.
"Thank you." he whispered and he just held you for hours.
It was the first time in his life that someone touched him with care and affection for what felt like years.
And slowly, he started to believe he deserved this happiness.
---
Spring arrived with flowers.
As the snow melted and everything began to bloom, your love fully bloomed.
You looked at Beorn as he tended to the bees.
You followed him to his goats and helped him feed his horses.
A smile never once leaves your lips. And he is much the same.
Then you cooked lunch for both of you, he loved your cooking and you were happy to make him anything he wanted.
Given how fresh and amazing his crops were, it was easy to prepare something amazing.
Then after dinner, the two of you would go to sleep in his bed, him holding you close to his chest.
It was a simple life, but it was all you could hope for.
You often catch him smiling even if it's a small one.
You make him happy and he makes you happy.
This was the life you always wanted.
Although you never imagined you would have it with a man who can turn into a bear, you weren't complaining.
He was your bear.

Imagine being a Targaryen and befriending Smaug
Tumblr media
(So, this might be long, but I hope you enjoy it. It has also come to my attention that it’s just easy to write reader gender neutral since I rarely have to specify the gender, but this is male reader)
Requested by @weird-addiction
Warnings: violence, mentions of dead and crushed eggs, mentions of cannibalism, Smaug is kind of a douche, overprotective dragon companion, some fluff, found family kinds of feels, angst, death and war.
----------------------------------------------------------
-After your banishment, you traveled far and wide, avoiding people and hunters who tried to take bounty over your and your dragon’s head. You couldn't let that happen, especially when carrying your dragon’s only egg.
-You could feel through your bond how your dragon, Skarlax, was getting tired from all the constant running and flying. It wouldn’t take long before she got fed up with it and decided to fight your pursuers. You knew it would only end badly, so you had to find a safe place soon.
-Your search led you to a witch, who told you about a place called the edge of the world, where rumors said traveling through the mysterious clouds of the sea would take you to another world. It sounded unbelievable and impossible, but knowing your situation and how desperate you were to find a haven, you took the risk.
-You fed Skarlax and flew into the clouds in the sea. It was a horrid journey. The storm that followed almost took your life, so either the gods decided to be merciful, or you got lucky to survive such a force of nature.
-You found your way to a place called Middle-Earth. It was such a beautiful place, and you could feel yourself wanting to discover all of it. Other Targaryens always thirsted for conquest, but you always preferred to travel and uncover than try to conquer.
-However, you knew you needed to find a home for Skarlax and her egg soon, so you traveled to look for a good home for yourself.
-You found your way to what seemed to be ruins of an old kingdom inside a mountain that stood alone from others. You marveled at the two great statues standing near the entrance, and you couldn't help but walk in – wanting to see more.
-The sight was breathtaking. You walked through the stone halls, taking in the designs and the beauty of the stone murals and the statues. The city was unlike anything you had ever seen before. It was marvelous, especially when it was underneath a mountain.
-You studied the old murals and pictures on the wall, trying to learn the story behind the city and its people. You were surprised when you discovered that dwarves used to live here. You noted the size of the old bones and armor you found, so these dwarves were much bigger and buffer than the dwarves in Westeros, and they were considered a different race, not ordinary people with a defect from birth.
-You were discovering so much, and it made you excited. Skarlax just followed you as you walked around the place.
-You found an old forge. The room was a mess but perfect for incubating Skarlax’s egg. It also had bigger rooms and old chambers nearby, so you and Skarlax didn’t have to sleep in the same room.
-You tried to tidy up the place and prepare a fire until you heard your beloved companion growl and hiss defensively. She was unnerved by something like the place was not safe.
-You had been with her long enough to know the nature of her behavior, so you knew she was not smelling another human or a wild animal. It was another dragon.
-You felt excited that there was another dragon and unnerved because wild dragons were dangerous when they were not fond of humans, so you quickly tried to leave the place rather than trying to find the dragon.
-You almost reached the entrance till you felt the hall shake, and the mysterious dragon showed himself, his scales gleaming red and his eyes burning with golden flames. You were left stunned as you marveled at his size. He was big. He was bigger than the biggest dragon you knew in Westeros, and there was no doubt his wings could cover a whole village in their shadows.
-He was a magnificent specimen, but you left your thoughts elsewhere as he did not look friendly when he looked down upon you.
-One thing you did not expect or think possible – was for him to speak.
-” Well… little rat. Why the rush?” His deep voice shook you to the core.
-You were shocked, unable to utter a word. There has never been a recorded dragon who could speak like a human. It was impossible, but then you remembered that you were in another world, so anything was possible now.
-Oh, how your relatives would have flipped their crowns and heads if they knew there were dragons that could speak.
-You collected yourself and kept eye contact with the dragon. You apologized and tried to tell him you did not mean to invade his home. You thought the kingdom was empty of life.
-He seemed amused by your answers and questions if you had not heard the stories about the dragon that dwelled beneath the lonely mountain, sleeping in the stolen treasures of Erebor.
-You made a quick note of that and explained you were new to these lands and Erebor was your first stop because you wanted to investigate. You had no idea he was there sleeping.
-You introduced yourself out of politeness, and he introduced himself as Smaug.
-You tried to think your words carefully since he seemed to toy with you like a cat with a mouse, except it’s a tiny man and a giant dragon.
-He approached you dangerously like a snake and then noticed the egg that rested against your chest in a pouch. When he saw the egg, he looked agitated and almost demanded to know if you had stolen the egg.
-You tried to tell him the egg belonged to your friend, but he didn’t seem to believe you and seemed ready to burn you alive.
-You were too far away to take cover, so you held your breath as his chest glowed with brilliant light, and he opened his mouth.
-Luckily, Skarlax came to your rescue just in time and attacked Smaug. She stopped him from raining fire upon you by scratching his head. Her smaller size allowed her to fly in the hall and maneuver around the enormous dragon while throwing and dodging the attacks.
-Smaug growled and quickly snatched her tail, throwing her away.
-Skarlax got thrown onto the floor, but she quickly got up, ready to fight. However, you stopped her, speaking to her in High Valyrian and preventing her from making poor decisions.
-You have always admired her determination to fight for you, but even you knew this was a fight she would not win, so your only hope was coercion.
-You calmed her down, then turned toward Smaug, explaining she was your travel companion and the egg you were holding was hers. You were carrying it for her as you traveled to find a safe home for yourself and the hatchling inside.
-You also explained you were from a place where dragons did not speak, so that’s why she was not speaking like him.
-Smaug calmed down and then asked for your story. Since you gained his interest, you happily told him your story and why you were flying around to find a new home for yourself since you got banished from your old one.
-Smaug listened to your story. He looked down upon Skarlax as she was protective of you, and she had a saddle on her back, so he did not have anything nice to say about it. However, he was willing to forgive you for trespassing.
-His race was already under threat of extinction. So he did not wish to harm the egg in your hand and its mother. It would mean he would contribute to the death of his race.
-He then said you could stay in Erebor since it was big, filled with gold, and you could incubate the egg. It would be safer than in the outside world since people feared dragons.
-You agreed to his reasoning since Erebor would make a good home for you and Skarlax’s hatchling.
-You promised you only wanted to care for your companion and her future offspring, so you had no interest in his gold or treasures.
-After that encounter, you finally managed to tie up the old forge and start incubating Skarlax’s egg. Skarlax was not happy with Smaug’s presence inside the mountain, so she was constantly watching the door, guarding you and her egg while having the pissiest face you have ever seen on a dragon.
-You shook your head since she looked like a brooding child, but you understood her protectiveness.
-She was mistrustful toward other dragons because when she had her first clutch of eggs, they were crushed and eaten by the dragon named Cannibal. It crushed your heart when you found her mourning and ready to fight the terrible wild dragon, but you stopped her because you knew she couldn’t have won.
-She didn’t give birth to more eggs for some time – until her mate died in a war. His rider brought him to a hopeless battle, and they both got shot from the sky. It crushed her even more, but she was able to give birth to one egg just when your house decided to banish you from the kingdom.
-You were the only one she trusted, so she allowed you to take it, and you both escaped the kingdom and Westeros.
-It would be awkward in the future when the tension between you and Smaug was this high, so you needed to do something to soften it up.
-After resting through the night, you decided to confront Smaug and talk to him.
-You were nervous when you walked through the stone halls since yesterday’s events were still fresh in your bones. It made you shiver how you almost got burned alive, but when you found the treasury, you were amazed. There were gold, gems, trinkets, and all kinds of treasures everywhere.
-You never thought such a treasury was possible. There was no way gathering all the gold and treasures into one place in Westeros could even fill half of the hall in front of you. You were pretty sure even the riches pigs would sell their soul to have such wealth.
-You concluded Smaug was one of those dragons that hoarded treasures, so you began to look for him and call out for him while stumbling on the hoard of gold.
-You knew Skarlax was watching from the shadows, carefully observing, and ready to act for your safety, so you tried to keep calm when Smaug finally heeded your call and rose from his golden hoard.
-You were still intimidated by his size, but you held your breath and told him you wanted to talk with him – anything to ease the tension and create a good relationship.
-Thanks to your experience dealing with silver-tongued people in court, you made Smaug curious about your homeland and its dragons, so you ended up making a decent conversation.
-He was not fond of the idea of his kin submitting to humans, so you had to give a brief explanation: dragons in your homeland were like your kin – not pets or slaves.
-He found the idea ridiculous but was curious to know more, especially the language you spoke with Skarlax when you calmed her down from attacking him.
-You told him about High Valyria and how it was like a dragon tongue since most dragons in your house don’t listen unless spoken in that language. Smaug kinda liked it and asked if you could teach him some words in your language.
-You were glad. It means you have created a good start, so you visited Smaug often and taught him some words in Valyria, and in return, he taught you something about Middle Earth and other races like elves and dwarves.
-Skarlax was still uncomfortable with his presence and preferred to avoid him. She spent most of the time with her egg after making sure you would be alright by yourself.
-Smaug asked for her story after observing how spiteful she was toward him, like she hated dragons, and you told him how her first clutch of eggs got destroyed by another dragon named Cannibal and how her mate perished in a war.
-Smaug was surprised to hear about Cannibal since it was frowned upon to crush and eat a female dragon’s eggs, so he showed some sympathy. He went out of his way to hunt some prey and offer it to her as a peace offering, trying to show he was not a threat to her or her egg.
-Skarlax was a proud dragon but accepted the offering since she could keep a more watchful eye on her egg.
-You were happy since the tension was slowly decreasing, and Skarlax was slowly softening up to Smaug when he continued hunting for her. You gave Smaug some hints about her favorite food, and it helped make better bonds for them.
-Helping him get Skarlax’s trust gave you a chance to befriend him, and he was comfortable enough with you to talk casually.
-He admitted he grew to enjoy your company just a little since you entertained him with riddles and rumors you heard whenever you left the mountain to gather food and water for yourself.
-You even went out of your way to bring him more treasures to add to his hoard, which helped you grow to a friendship level. It was hard work, but it was worth it.
-After living together for some time, you might have noticed Smaug showing signs of interest in being mates with Skarlax. He kept hunting food for her and sometimes helped with incubating her egg. You liked the idea of them being together, so you wanted to help him since you knew Skarlax better than anyone.
-She might have grown comfortable enough not to fight Smaug upon first chance, but she was still protective of you and her egg, so one way to gain her trust was to show he was trustworthy.
-Smaug didn’t deny he was interested in her and listened to your suggestions.
-It was difficult for him to gain her trust, but when he defended her egg from an intruder. Skarlax slowly cracked down her walls, and even she began to show interest in him.
-You then helped out by giving Smaug hints on how to romance her now the challenging part was over, and one way to do it was by speaking in High Valyria with her.
-You never imagined you would become a wingman for dragons and a third wheel.
-You watched their romance grow and gave them peace by guarding the egg. It was lovely, but you were amused when you watched your proud companion and Smaug become enamored with each other.
-You were first worried when you thought about when they became mates and got into ‘that’ business, but then you remembered Skarlax keeps growing every year, and she was already half of Smaug’s size, so there shouldn’t be any complications.
-The day finally arrived when Skarlax’s egg was finally hatching.
-In your old way, it would take a Targaryen to make an egg hatch, but it wasn’t impossible by naturally incubating. It would only take a long time, so you ran out of the forge when you heard those first cracks.
-You were yelling, and you dug both dragons out of the hoard to tell them the news and make them watch the hatching with you.
-You brought the egg for them to see, and you all watched as the baby dragon finally dug its way out of the shell.
-It was a beautiful little she dragon. She looked like Skarlax, but unlike her mother, the little dragon was purple and red, and her horns and spikes were black. Oddly, she also had gold dusted on her chest and head, which made her look beautiful and like Smaug, in a way.
-Skarlax was purring in delight, and her eyes were filled with love when you brought her hatchling to her. Even Smaug was watching rather lovingly.
-It was a happy moment when you welcomed your newest member to your odd little family.
-Now, the naming part was the hard part. You didn’t know what to call the new hatchling, so it took a long time for all of you to brainstorm some names.
-You gave some name suggestions in Valyria and names that described her color and that, but Smaug was quick to brush them off because he thought your name suggestions, like Amethyst and Hearthfyre, sounded stupid.
-He didn’t have better name suggestions, so you then suggested names in elvish since you have been learning and suggested Malleniel, which technically meant daughter of gold.
-Smaug admitted that the name had a nice ring to it, so you all agreed to call your little hatchling, Malleniel.
-It was a happy time for all of you with Malleniel. You often offered to babysit her, so you two grew close. Skarlax was full of joy to be a mother, and even Smaug sometimes played with her like she was his.
-You were one big happy family. Sometimes you all nap together on the hoard. You cuddle with Maleniel while Skarlax covers you, while Smaug covers all of you. It was uncomfortable to lay on the gold, but you did not mind.
-You thought it would be like this, and you would happily watch Malleniel grow till the old age hits you, but alas, like a curse, your happiness did not last long when they came – the dwarves and the hobbit.
-You were with Malleniel when you saw someone walking through the halls – toward the treasury where Smaug and Skarlax were resting. You were suspicious and prepared with a blade, so you followed the intruder.
-You were surprised to find that it was not a human, but something smaller with very hairy big feet. Your first thought was a dwarf, but you then remembered Smaug telling you they were bigger and had a beard, so you brushed it off and continued observing the creature.
-The little person was odd and frightened to be there. You tried to make sense of him till Malleniel grew impatient on your shoulder and growled, alerting him of your presence.
-He was startled to see you. He was definitely not expecting to encounter a human man, especially a man with a dragon sitting on his shoulders. Your appearance most likely frightened him even more as your silver hair glowed in the dark, and you glared at him with your purple eyes.
-You demanded to know what he was doing in your home, and he was nervous and confused when you referred to the place as your home.
-He tried to question you, but you pushed the questions back at him.
-He introduced himself as Bilbo Baggings. He called himself a hobbit which made you curious because you had never heard about them. You would have asked him more if he was not an intruder.
-You talked for some time as you tried to figure out his purpose in the mountain, and it was clear he was looking for something. You just didn’t know what because he was trying to avoid answering your questions.
-You introduced him to Malleniel and advised him to leave. Smaug was not very keen on visitors right now.
-You were too late to tell him to leave when you felt the room around you shake, and a familiar dragon appeared out of the corner. You knew it was too late for him, so you left Smaug to deal with your visitor.
-You hoped it would be a quick death since you wanted to know him more, but then you hear voices and Smaug being more active. It left you concerned, so you followed the voices and observed how the dwarves avoided and rebelled against Smaug.
-It looked like they were succeeding, so you quickly confronted Smaug before he could go after them.
- ”Smaug!” You called out, stopping in front of him.
He snarled after he got constantly hit with strange bombs before looking down on you and Malleniel.
“(Name). I want you to take Malleniel and return to Skarlax. If things get out of hand, I want you all to leave the mountain,” He said, making your eyes widen at the thought. “But what about you? I could help you!” You said.
“Ensuring Malleniel’s safety should be your first priority. These pests turn out to be more troublesome than I anticipated!” He said with hateful venom in his tone. “So I will not risk Skarlax’s and Malleniel’s life as long as they’re in the mountain,” He explained, then looked down on you softly. “So please, take them to safety for me,” He said, then continued chasing the intruders.
-You felt conflicted as he was part of your family, and you had a bad feeling, but you respected his wishes and went to find Skarlax.
-You stayed hidden with Skarlax. She wanted to join Smaug to chase off the intruders, but she listened to you and kept watch over you and Malleniel.
-You felt the mountain shake and heard Smaug’s roar. He was outside, so you carefully led Skarlax and Malleniel out of the mountain – avoiding the dwarves’ attention and following what was happening next.
-You watched as Smaug was burning the Laketown. He was most likely taking revenge on the intruders, but then you heard him roar in pain and fly in the sky before suddenly falling toward the lake below.
-Your heart stopped at that moment because you knew he was dead.
-Skarlax called out to him in pain, wanting to fly to him but staying beside you as she couldn’t leave you and Malleniel undefended.
-Your mourned and hugged Malleniel, who was confused. You hugged her and cursed the dwarves for killing your friend and taking away one of the most important members of your family.
-Skarlax kept you close, trying to comfort you. She grieved with you till dawn, and the battle for the mountain was beginning.
-You watched as elves and the humans gathered in the city, ready to attack the mountain since the new dwarven king refused to share parts of the treasure even though he promised it to them. You found some irony in that.
-They always said dragons were the greediest creatures on Middle Earth, yet here was a dwarf doing the same.
-One night, you found the hobbit sneaking out of the mountain, and in a fun twist of fate, he dumped you on his way to the city.
-You were not happy to see him because he was also responsible for Smaug’s death, but you did not care enough to harm him.
-Skarlax was near to eating him alive, but you convinced her to stay put, and you two talked for a while. You asked what he was doing, and he explained he intended to give the heart of the mountain to the elves and humans. His friend valued the rock above all else, so it should be able to convince him to open the gate and avoid conflict.
-You found his intentions honorable and brave. You would have done the same if it meant you could have saved Smaug’s life.
-Bilbo showed sympathy when he saw how much Smaug mattered to you and how Malleniel got robbed from a father figure. You brushed his apologies off since it was already too late.
-When he asked why you were still around, you told him you wanted to see the elves and humans break through the walls and see his friend get taken by his creed.
-He asked you if there was a cure for the dragon sickness, but you answered there was no such thing. His friend can only overcome it by himself or let it consume him.
-You allowed him to continue his task, and you watched as the whole thing unfolded in the morning.
-The stubborn dwarf still refused to open the gate, and you waited for the moment to see the battle begin, especially when more dwarves appeared and they started killing each other.
-It was interesting to watch for a moment, but then the earth shook, and you saw the earthworms opening tunnels for something. You then saw legions of orcs marching through, and now, it was throughout the war.
-You saw the dwarven king joining the battle, which meant he had overcome his sickness, and they all fought honorably and like it was the last day on earth.
-You decided to leave because you knew the battle was lost. The orcs outnumbered them massively, so you knew they would die either way.
-You were prepared to leave till Bilbo found you and begged for your help.
-You refused and asked why you should help the people who helped to kill your friend. You were not risking your life for people who would kill Skarlax and Malleniel at first sight.
-Bilbo explained that if you helped them, the people would not harm you or your dragons. If you helped them win the battle, they would even give you a safe haven.
-You highly doubted that since you considered Smaug as a friend.
-However, Bilbo then convinced you that if you helped them, people would not come after you or your dragons. They could send word all around the land to prove you’re a friend and not an enemy. You and your dragons would be safe.
-You thought about, and even if you did not want to help the killers of your friend, you had to think about Skarlax’s and Malleniel’s future and safety.
-You pushed your feelings to the side and gave Malleniel to Bilbo.
-Bilbo was shocked to hold a baby dragon, but when you threatened to kill him if she came under any harm – he sucked it up and made it clear he heard you loud and clear. He then watched as you mounted your dragon and took flight toward the battle.
-When you flew above the battlefield, you yelled out for Skarlax to fire.
-Fire rained down upon the orcs. They screamed as they burned alive, and the dwarves, elves, and humans were left shocked by the appearance of another dragon.
-You cut the rest of the orcs away, giving a burning barrier to the people and preventing the rest of the orcs from overpowering them. You then continued burning them all. You also took down the trolls that tossed boulders and stones.
-You gave no mercy to the orcs, giving a chance for the dwarves, elves, and humans to win the battle, and the war was soon over.
-Seeing no reason to fight anymore, you returned to Bilbo and saw Malleniel alright.
-Bilbo thanked you for helping and promised to let everyone know you were a friend.
-You almost found revolt in the idea but couldn’t do anything about it. You took Malleniel and prepared to leave for good.
-Bilbo wished you good luck and said if you ever found your way to the shire, he would always welcome you. You almost found some warmth in those words but brushed them away because you doubted you would ever meet again.
-You bid him farewell, too, and flew away from the lonely mountain.
-You looked back, watching your home get smaller and smaller. It left you with deep sadness, but you knew it was necessary.
-You managed to find a new home even though it wasn’t easy, then watched how Malleniel grew up into a healthy young dragon. You missed Smaug and felt sad that he couldn’t be there to see her grow. However, Skarlax then laid two new eggs, and you were happy that your friend’s memory won’t die.

Imagine Thranduil and Elrond fighting over you for your hand in marriage.
---------  Request for anon  ---------
Men had gone to war over less than this as history has written, but these were not men. They were not of your people; you didn’t know whether to be grateful of it or not.
Elves tended to think themselves above the baser instincts of man, but as Elrond led you into your second dance of the night, Thranduil wondered if it was true. A war seemed simpler than all of this, these feelings that had bewitched him since shortly after he had met you. It was the only explanation--- some involvement of sorcery--- though he knew it wasn’t true.
It was your nature that had drawn him in, and Thranduil was not the only one affected by you. The evidence of Elrond’s affliction had become clearer to him with each passing day.
Yes, Thranduil thought as he finished off another goblet of wine while watching you dance with his rival for your affections, it would be much simpler were elves to make war as easily as men do.
If you were a simple prize to be won with war, he has no doubt he would be tempted to wage it. Instead, the Elvenking was confounded with thoughts of how to earn the smile you give him when you part from Elrond at the end of your dance.
Setting his goblet aside, he settles on claiming your next dance.

Headcanons for Kili falling in love with a plus size Hobbit would include...
Tumblr media
He first meets you when Bilbo invites the Company to celebrate his 55th birthday. It was somewhat of a tradition for the Company to come to Bag End and celebrate with him and Gandalf.
Kili and Fili were helping Gandalf set up the tents in the town square when he caught a glimpse of you. He only saw you for a split second but that was all it took.
He immediately made some excuse and went to find Bilbo.
"Mr Baggins, who is that delightfully pretty Hobbit? The one with the floral embroidery and the forest green jacket?"
"That's (y/n). They're my neighbour. Lovely they are. Why?"
"No reason, Mr Baggins... No reason."
He observes you for a while, just observing the way your eyes light up when you smile and the way you laughed with your friends. Once he feels brave enough, he ventures over to you and finds an excuse to talk to you.
From there, the relationship blooms.
He's sweet and funny and makes you laugh all the time. He thinks you're the kindest person he's ever met.
He makes any excuse to come to Bag End to see you. He's visits frequently and brings Fili sometimes. You get to show Kili Hobbiton and the sights.
You take great joy in taking the two brothers to the pub and they try and drink the older Hobbits under the table. It ends with Kili being sick in various flowerpots and Fili singing karaoke with a goat.
He thinks you're the most beautiful thing he's ever seen. He loves every single thing about you. He compliments you all the time.
Very quickly your relationship becomes serious. He braids your hair which signals courtship. He ties a piece of his leather into your braid and puts one of his hair charms on the end of it.
He loves your body, loves every curve, loves your double chin, loves your soft stomach, the dimples in your thighs... He loves all of you and always tells you.
Kili thinks the world of you, thinks that you're the best thing in the world and he reminds you at any given opportunity.
He's so sweet and likes to surprise you with gifts like flowers and even tries his hand at poems.
If you're ever self-conscious, he kisses you all over, telling you ten reasons why he loves every part of your body.
He likes the way your body looks in tight clothes (and if you're ever going anywhere, you end up late because he just cannot resist).
He kisses your hand and introduces you as his and he always has the biggest smile on his face as he does so. He adores you with every single part of his being and he just wants to show you off.
Fili loves you, he thinks you bring out the happiest version of Kili and he appreciates everything you do for his brother.

Imagine you and Bard getting caught after causing trouble in Laketown…
Bard looked at Braga as the man had a tight hold against your wrist. He had taken a shortcut and pushed Bard aside before grabbing you in retaliation.
Bard swiped the fabric closest to him and lifted it high for the leader of the guards to see. He had hoped it was something he could use to barter your freedom… but it was a very sheer nightgown.
Thinking on his feet, Bard blurted out the first thing that came to mind. “Your wife would look lovely in this.” He suggested and caught a quirk of your brow, reasonably unimpressed.
This struck a nerve with the captain, who absentmindedly tightened his hold which made you wince.
“What do you know of my wife?” Braga demanded.
Bard softened his sarcasm and turned it into sincerity. “Well, I know her as well as any man in this town.” He shrugged.
Braga snapped and pulled you forcefully until he had you by the arm and leaning over the icy Laketown water. The man was very aware of how much Bard had grown tense and enjoyed it.
“Let’s see if your humour follows them when they take the plunge.”
One of the guards fastened a cloth around your mouth and slammed the hilt of his sword against your head. Without a moment to spare, the captain let you go.
Bard saw you hit the water and attempted to jump in but the captains men stopped him. There was a scuffle but he was overpowered and hit across the head, effectively knocking him out. His last thought was of you being lost to the icy depths of the water.

Notes: Alone during Halloween night (Sumhain), you notice two eyes watching you in the darkness of the lake.
Warnings: Kíli x fem!reader; Triton!Kíli; Reader has hair; Reader at the bottom of the sea; SFW.
Tumblr media
The lights of the small house still shone behind you as you walked away, you could still hear the excited conversations coming from inside. It was Samhain night, your favorite night of the year, and you had just argued with your parents, to the point where you were so stressed that you chose to get up from the table and leave the house, slamming the door behind you. Hot tears clouded your vision but you refused to let them fall.
As you always did, you went to the large lake near your house. Something about dipping your feet in the cold water and playing with the smooth rocks you found on the shore while watching the light reflecting off the water calmed you. Distracted and a little calmer, but still upset, you picked up a rock and threw it at the water, it bounced twice before sinking. When you lowered your head to look for another stone you heard a sound in the water that made you alert, when you got up and looked around you didn't find anything at first, but when you looked more closely over the water you were surprised to find another pair of eyes, staring at you, shining in the dark of the night.
- Who are you?! - pressed the stone tighter against your hand, threatening to throw it, taking a step back.
The creature with bright eyes and wet brown hair that stuck to its face approached slowly, you didn't hesitate, little by little the being emerged from the water, it was a man, with long brown hair that outlined his jaw, a sparse beard and penetrating brown eyes, there were fins where his ears should have been, some scales on his shoulders. That glow in his eyes... You knew perfectly well what he was: a triton. You had never seen one so close up, only in books. As the man came out of the water, you reproached yourself as ran your eyes down his naked torso.
- What is a human doing alone on the night of Samhain? - all you could pay attention to was how his smile had sharper teeth than usual.
- You still haven't answered me: who are you!
- I'm Kíli, sorry I didn't introduce myself before, I've seen you here a few times, but never as angry as today.
Analyzing the man, you lowered your arm, but still holding the stone.
- If you had already seen me, why never came to talk to me?
- Well, there aren't many of my kind left, I had my reasons to be scared - he approached and sat down on the edge of the lake.
You had already heard many legends about merpeople, legends that told of their powers of manipulation to enchant people, to attract them and take them to the bottom of the sea. And yet you approached him, his eyes attracting you more and more.
- I see... I've never seen a triton so close up before - revealed and sat down in front of him.
- And I've never seen a human up close - he smiled.
- Can I? - you asked shyly as you raised your hand and approached his face, without touching him.
Kíli nodded yes, carefully you brought your hand closer to the fin. Was cold, his skin was thin and delicate, extremely smooth like silk, still damp. Your hand came down closer to his face, there were some scales on the side of his face, his eyes were the darkest you had ever seen, very carefully you ran your fingertips over the gills on the side of his neck, sending goosebumps all over his body. When you looked down you could see his tail, it was a shiny emerald green, the scales started just below his hip.
- Can I? - His sudden voice snapped you out of your fascination.
- What?
- Can I see you too? - he asked, extending his hand just like you did.
When you said yes, Kíli brought his hand closer to your ear, carefully running his fingers over it, curious. He felt your face and hair, admiring each new and different texture. Kíli held your hands and brought them close to his eyes, there was no thin and transparent membrane between your fingers like his, your hands were smaller and soft, when he looked up and met your eyes he became shy and let go of your hands.
- Yeah... As I thought - he said, crossing his arms.
- What? - slightly furrowed your eyebrows.
- You are beautiful - he smiled.
You automatically looked away from him and couldn't control a smile, deep down you knew exactly what that was, he was trying to seduce you, every merpeople did that, it was so obvious, but so addictive. You didn't want him to stop.
- Yes, you are exactly as the books say... - he opened his eyes wider, anxious - ... Charming - he smiled more cheerfully than before.
- You still haven't answered me why you're out here alone.
- I fought with my parents... I preferred to leave home and since I had nowhere to go...
- I understand... - he was silent for a while, analyzing the situation - ... Would you like to spend Samhain with me?
You couldn't hide how surprised you were by the proposal, eyebrows raised and eyes wide, the words getting jumbled on your tongue before you could say anything back.
- With you? Here?
- No - he laughed at your innocence - Not here, at my house, I can take you there and we'll be back at dawn.
- How? The merpeople's houses are underwater, aren't they? I have to remind you that I can't breathe underwater - you both laughed.
-Yes, I know that, dear, but I can make you breathe underwater... With a kiss - the surprised look returned to your face - if you want, of course.
Analyzing the situation, you studied every possible risk, remembering how you had never experienced any adventure, remembering your father's screams at you, the anger you felt...
- Okay, - you decided.
Tumblr media
Slowly, Kíli approached, giving you time to give up, but you had already made up your mind. His lips were soft and rested gently against yours, his hands bringing you closer. The kiss was delicate, his mouth was hot, giving you goosebumps with the growing desire, his arms wrapped around you and you let yourself be carried away. Opening your eyes as your lips parted, you realized you were now underwater. Scared, you held your breath, afraid of drowning, you looked up and realized you were very far from the surface. You felt a warm hand wrap around yours, it was Kíli, with a smile he took your other hand away from your mouth and nose and said that you could breathe without fear and in fact you managed to your surprise.
Still holding your hand he took you deeper into the water, fish of the most varied types passed around you, a cloud of bubbles dancing as the school followed its path, sea flowers that you had never seen before opened up to you, it was like you were in a dream, and honestly, you didn't want to wake up.

Hi! How are you? I saw your request for lotr characters are open, and was wondering if you could write something Legolas x reader. Where the reader is an elf (or maybe a dúnedain). And she and the prince elf had known each other since forever, but over time took separate paths because of their duties. And now after many years they are finally reunited for one last adventure. (It could be to help Frodo destroy to ring, or something entirely diferent).
Thank youuu!!
Pairing: Legolas x Reader
Rating || Genres || Warnings: T+ Romance if you squint.
Translation: Elen síla lúmenn' omentielvo, Legolas. - A star shines on the hour of our meeting, Legolas.
A/N: Cannot believe I missed this in my ask box. I hope you like this Anon! And I'm so sorry for being so late about it. Also I'm making the reader an elf.

The journey had been long and brutal, yet they had to have speed on their side. There was no time to be lost. The Uruk-Hai would be marching upon Helm's Deep soon. Thank the Valar, the weather had been in your favor. As Helm's Deep came into view, you couldn't help but feel a flutter of excitement settle within you.
It had been so long since you had seen Legolas. Too long in fact. Since the beginning of the Quest for the Ring, you had only just missed him and his companions while you were having your own adventures. You were a mere Ranger of Lothlórien, yet somehow, the Prince of Mirkwood himself had deemed you worthy enough of his friendship. At first you had considered it an honor, but as time had passed, the two of you began to build a relationship built on a trust that ran deep.
You had been most disappointed when you had returned from a scouting trip, only to be told that the Prince had left with his comrades. Despite the urge to go after them, you had stayed. You had a duty to the Woods you called him and the Lord and Lady that ruled over them.
But when Elrond had made that call, calling elves to arm to help man fight against the darkness that had swept across their land, you had been one of the first to volunteer. Had been the first to pack your necessities and filled your quivers with the finest arrows, before shouldering the bow he had gifted you long ago.
It had been years and years since you had been in his presence, and you had realized, quite early on, that you felt his absence greatly. It was surprising to you at first, and yet, as time went by, it had become clear.
You were in love with Legolas. Perhaps had been the moment you had first met him.
But now would not be the time to discuss such matters. They were at war. A battle was to be had, and if the outcome was in their favor, you promised yourself you would act on your feelings and see what he would have to say.
As you and the rest of the elves marched into Helm's Deep, you were made aware of every man looking in your direction, or rather in the general direction of the army. You had barely lifted your head when your eyes caught sight of an achingly familiar head of golden silvery hair. You lowered your gaze once more, hiding your smile.
Haldir, your Captain, greeted King Théoden, and Aragorn thanked him for arriving so timely. You hadn't seen Aragorn in quite some time too, perhaps this would be a reunion for the ages? Aragorn embraced Haldir, as did Legolas, both visibly glad at their coming. You were standing right behind the Captain as the elves shifted in their position to look straight ahead.
It was then that Legolas looked from over Hadlir's shoulder. His eyes widened. Your name fell from his lips in a whisper. Despite the fact that you would be breaking a few rules, you glanced at your Captain who smiled and gave a small nod. Stepping forward, you reached up to pull back your hood. A few surprised gasps followed your act, the men having not expected a female to be amongst the elven army. What they didn't realize was that there were just as many females as there were male elves.
"Elen síla lúmenn' omentielvo, Legolas." You greeted him in Elvish, eyes wide and hopeful as you smiled at him. Another call of your name, this time louder before he embraced you. A small laugh fell from your lips as you wrapped your arms around him just as tightly, returning the embrace. He picked you up and swung you around once, before setting you back on solid ground.
Neither of you cared that there were so many eyes on you, yet everyone seemed to want to share in your joy. To catch a glimpse of a joyful moment such as two friends reuniting after so long. They were to face the ugliness of battle soon. This would be there last bit of beauty before that. Théoden called for the Captain of his Guard to show the elves where they would be positioned. Aragorn began to speak to Haldir of strategies, prompting you to glance in the direction of your Captain.
"You were never one to shy away from a fight were you?" Legolas asked, with his arms bracing your own, as if to reassure himself that you were still here. That you truly were in front of him. You smiled at him. "And let you have all the fun?" You teased, though you could sense the underlying worry in his eyes. He surged forward to press his lips to your brow, closing his eyes as if in a silent prayer.
"Stay safe my friend. We have much to speak of." He whispered against your skin, prompting you to nod and close your eyes, inhaling deeply as you memorized his scent once more. "That we do Legolas. I shall see you once we have won." You said with conviction. There was not a doubt in your heart that you would loose. Not when you had Legolas at your side.
With a parting glance, and a joining of the hands that lingered until you had to step away from him, you disappeared into the crowd to do get to your station, just as Legolas turned to take care of his own duties.

Our Little Cub
Tumblr media
Beorn x Reader
Summary: Domestic life with your teddy bear.
Your husband has been away for a couple days now on a hunt. You knew how he liked to make sure the entire forest was safe. You assumed he found something or someone as he will be back soon. You knew very well your husband would never leave you behind or do anything reckless.
But you also knew he definitely was in for a surprise.
Small little Aiden only learned that he has the ability to turn into the smallest cutest little cub.
You were delighted by the sight when you discovered it one morning. Instead of the cute little baby, it was a small little bear cub.
"Hi, Honey Bee." you told the little kid as he made little noises. "Aren't you the cutest?"
You were slightly worried when you gave birth that the baby you had would not be a skin changer, given you were a human. So you were absolutely thrilled to see the small baby cub.
"Your Papa is going to be thrilled as well." you said as you started feeding him.
Ever since that day, Aiden didn't turn back to human. Which didn't worry you, you knew he would need to learn his powers. But you did make a note every day that passed.
You got used to the little cub pretty easily. You did notice that he loved to be outside. He loved to be around the bees and the goats definitely interested him a lot.
You smiled as you watched him crawl around your garden, you of course let him explore but you still had one eye on him.
Aiden was definitely an active and very curious baby.
You lifted him into your arms before heading inside.
"Time for a nap." you said as he yawned and you put him in his little bed.
Aiden fell asleep rather quickly as you moved back to the kitchen to clean up and also outside to make sure all of his things were gathered.
This is when you saw Beorn. Entering the garden as he closed the gate behind himself.
You smiled and ran towards him.
He quickly lifted you up, kissing you.
"I missed you." you said as he slowly put you down.
"I missed both of you as well, where's my little one?"
"Taking a nap. You should go and see him, we have a surprise." you said as you grabbed his hand, slowly and quietly making your way inside.
"Look at him." you said as you pushed him towards Aiden's room.
Beorn slowly walked in, looking into the little bed he made with his own hands just for his child.
Then, he saw his son, well who he assumed to be his son, it was a small brown bear.
"He changed by himself. I found him like this three days ago." you looked up at him, you could see on his face he was really happy.
"My Love, he is a skin changer." he stated the obvious as he looked at you and smiled.
"You are no longer the only one. But Beorn is it normal for him to change this early? Isn't he too young?"
"Everyone goes through it at different ages. It can last for days the first time because it is not... voluntary. So, he is doing really good." he run a finger down his little cub's back. Watching as the small bear moved a little in his sleep.
"Let's leave him to sleep then." you said as both of you made your way out of the room and into the kitchen where you were halfway done with dinner. "Can you tell me where were you?"
"I got tangled up with Gandalf again, and since we couldn't go through certain... villages because of me, it took longer. I didn't want to leave you for so long, I won't do it again, Honey. I promise."
"We were fine, and your help was needed. I understand and I'm sure your son does too. I told him how his papa was out there saving or helping people."
Beorn smiled, imagining how you must have sat in front of the fireplace and told your son stories, it warmed his heart. He leaned down and kissed your temple.
"I love you." he said, voice barely a whisper and it made you smiled.
"I love you too."
Then both of you heard your little cub as your husband went to check on him, soon your big bear was holding your small bear in his arms, smiling like a proud papa bear.

Sentimentos
Thranduil x leitor masculino (male reader)
Tumblr media
