If your abusers are mentally ill and they manage to make the authorities/family/therapist/observers/public feel bad for them, that is not the result of the mental illness, that is deliberate, conscious act.
Think about it, they knew not to abuse the authorities, therapist, observers, public or that family member. They knew how to play it up like they're a victim, they knew how to appear sympathetic and likeable then. They knew not to throw a tantrum or to show their 'out of control' mode. They suddenly knew perfectly how to frame the abuse so they seem like they 'had no choice because they're mentally ill'. They knew that if they didn't do that, there would be consequences for them, and they knew what to do to chase those consequences away.
Those are conscious and calculated actions. A person who is out of control will not care or pick who to lash out on. They won't be out there deliberately picking targets who can't defend themselves, or get help. This is not behaviour of someone who has 'no control over what they're doing', that is conscious, willing and purposeful behaviour.
If your abusers use 'mentally ill' or 'traumatized themselves' excuses to make themselves seem likeable, pitiable and victimized to the observers, they know exactly what they're doing and they've had it planned. This is not excusable by any mental illness.

What's the point of even complaining about misogyny anymore? like yeah no shit where they are males that's bound to happen. They don't like us nor take us seriously and women just allow it to happen to themselves.
There are no slave masters without slaves you can't be a slave without participating into the slave masters' games, you cant fix this patriarchy to make it better for women, that's not going to happen.
It's reminds me of this one book I read Ti Jean and His Brothers, it's a Caribbean folklore it was about three brothers who had to survive the devil's game for their mother. They win by either provoking the devil or lose by getting provoked by the devil himself
Gros Jean the first brother failed the test of the devil and was eaten, he worked for the devil who disguised himself as a plantation owner, thinking his physcially strength would get him somewhere only to get provoked by the devil when is his work wasn't appreciated.
Mi jean the second brother intellectually arrogant he wanted to outsmart the devil by provoking him first but he also worked for the devil disguised as a planter and worked for him only to get provoked because the devil insulted his intelligence and got eaten
Ti jean, the third brother however did not do the same things as his brother instead of working for the plantation he burned it down and refused to do tasks for the devil, provoking the devil and won the game by refusing to play it in the first place.
You see what im saying here? Participating in this patriarchy isn't going to make u win, working for it or fighting against it isn't going to fix shit you gotta destroy it burn it to the ground. Your playing right into their game.

So it took her a day respond. Then she plays feel sorry for me and when Catherine refused to, because the wedding was in 4 days, she became a full blown narc. She created this mess in the first place.
Make it make sense on how Nutmeg wasn't the mean girl.

No One Gives A Shit That You're A Jesus Freak
It occurred to me that the through line of presenting your demographic as victims as a culture war tactic traces back very clearly to the Religious Right of the Nineties and their drive to be persecuted.

Society will be like "oh they're just playing the victim" and im like hm tell me youve never had your bodily autonomy stripped from your control as a child and then left alone and abandoned by society to deal with torture and abuse and told you are literally your abuser's property by the cops when you tried to leave before you turned 18, without telling me 🙄 maybe if we stopped ignoring the effects of child abuse in adulthood and made an effort as a whole to make resources and awareness more accessible and brought more trauma awareness in common social spaces and took the time as a society to cultivate more spaces for openly sharing these deeper darker pains outside of therapy, MAYBE WE WOULDNT BE SO STUCK IN OUR HEADS ABOUT IT TO BEGIN WITH!!!!

My core political assumption is that we are all responsible for each other’s material well-being, that we have a duty to build the kind of society where everyone’s basic needs are met, where everyone enjoys a certain degree of material comfort, and where our rights are respected equally regardless of race, religious, sexual and gender identity, ethnicity, or creed. That is the kind of mutual caring that I signed up for when I became politically conscious as a teenager. I never signed up for a vision of a society that helps everyone out there to constantly feel valid, mostly because society could never achieve such a thing. Nobody walks around feeling good about themselves all the time! Where on earth did people get the idea that human beings are meant to enjoy a permanent sense of mental security and social validity? That’s a totally unworkable and in fact quite cruel standard. If you want to be good to yourself, I suggest that you stop expecting society to be your therapist and go see licensed medical professionals in private to address the issues in your life that are appropriately treated that way. And if you want to be good to your society, I suggest you help to defeat the medicalization of everything, the casualization of the concept of trauma, the celebration of mental disorders, the assumption that everything that makes us unhappy is an injustice, the insistence that all conflict is abuse, and the infantilization of the human animal. That’s the best way to help.

It’s been two years since Dobson disappeared from internet, could we have a summary of the reasons for his "job abandonment"? (And maybe find out if he really left?)
I actually do have a full post with links and everything breaking down Dobson’s public quitting of the internet.
You can also search the tag “The THOAD Conspiracy”, named so because right before he quit, Dobson tried to blame everything wrong in his life on me.
Seriously.

Playing The Victim
Many narcissists are known for playing the victim, in particular covert narcissists.  They seem to think that everyone else has caused their problems but themselves.  Their own actions are always excused away or even denied.  They also claim there is nothing they can do about these problems.  As a person with a kind heart, it can be easy to get drawn into this victim act & feel sorry for this…

Why Do Some People Have To Be So Manipulative? By Dr Linda Berman
**Just a warning to the reader that this post deals with some difficult issues and could be disturbing to some people. The Lie – Felix Vallotton. 1896.
