and then matt came over

“uh… i like watching baseball. and … cats.”

“ok, baseball and cats. perfect.”

and then he smiles as he walked away because he understood that he just unintentionally made the perfect pun

so he tried to hide it from you

but it was very clearly a photo of you!!!

Matthew Michael Murdock in Love:

TOUCH. STARVED.

This man has been touch-starved for literally so long. Besides his friends guiding him or the one-night stands he participates in, this man is seriously lacking in Vitamin A for Affection.

Once he feels like he's allowed to, if his baby is nearby best believe he wants to be able to touch her in some way at all times. Reading a book? He's got a hand on your leg while he does his work. Or he's got his head on your shoulder and asks you to read to him. Cooking? Ninja man sneaks up behind you to hold you. Snoozing on his couch? He'll pull your legs into his lap or hand over your hair. Sitting together? Hand on your leg, around your shoulders, or touching your waist. If you're within arm's reach forget about it. He finds safety in your touch and will seek it out every chance.

Matt loves touching his sweetheart's hair. So soft and so smooth on his skin. He fiddles with it every chance he gets, toying with the ends or sweeping it over your shoulder, tucking it behind your ear, running his fingers through it... He can't get enough.

He's protective asf. Which sometimes turns him into a mother-hen. He takes his job as your support system/protector very seriously. Always walking between you and the road on the sidewalk, arm in arm. He's always conscious of where you are in the apartment and when you leave he makes sure to check what your plans are so he can keep track of where you are.

He hates texting you. He'd rather call you or swap voice memos. Any chance to hear your voice over the robotic AI voice that reads his text messages.

That's all I've got for now I needed something soft to get me through the angsty drafting.

Not a thot but a question, do you have any headcanons for Frank/Matt/Bucky?

Ohhh yeah I have a few. Thanks for your patience, I wanted to respond to this when I could sit and think and type everything out on my computer, not on my phone. Normal HCs at the top, spicy stuff below the cut.

Matt

Okay so I had this friend in highschool who was beyond disgusted by peanut butter, no allergy just totally hated the stuff. Like wouldn't kiss his girlfriend if she'd eaten it recently. I feel like Matt has an extreme food ick like this. Def not peanut butter but something like olive oil maybe? With his sensitive senses he gags when he even gets a whiff of whatever it is.

Speaking of peanut butter, I think it's a food staple of Matt's. The man can't take care of himself, so cooking full meals is just not a thing for him. So 2AM, back from patrol and he needs something to eat. Matt just eats PB straight out of the jar with a spoon like I did for meals in college.

Frank

Loves karaoke. Well, used to when he lived a more normal life. I don't think he sings amazingly well, but he doesn't care. He plays guitar obviously and Col. Shoonover mentioned his impressions skills, so that all concludes me to the fact the Frank likes to sing. He sings to himself/along with the radio when he's driving by himself between jobs. A lot of John Denver and Elton John.

For a holiday/birthday/anniversary gift one year he absolutely recorded Maria a CD of him playing and singing a few of her favorite songs. He'd probably do the same for you too if you were dating.

Bucky

Has a bit of a video game addiction. He was so fascinated by Stark tech at the fair, that I imagine he loves learning about everything that has come along since, but really got hooked on video games. I'm thinking your standard XBOX, Nintendo or Playstation games like the MLB/Baseball game and the Mario collection. Not big on first person shooter games like Call of Duty cause he's lived it obviously. But he can literally spend hours playing like FIFA or something. Absolutely gets on live to play with Sam, AJ, and Cass all the time.

Matt

Is really touchy during sex and also not during sex. Since the visual stimulation of sex obviously isn't there for him, he makes up for it by always having to be pressed against you fully or by having hands roaming and groping everywhere.

But also not during sex he's always grounding himself to you by being pressed as close to you as possible. Only time he isn't is when he's in a Matty Mood™ and feels like he doesn't deserve you or you deserve better or whatever Catholic guilt BS he tells himself. He gets over it eventually.

I feel like he likes really intimate sex but also is really playful during it as well. We saw a glimpse of this in She Hulk but I also think his just generally flirty demeanor hints at this. I'm talking like does things to make you giggle in the middle of sex.

Man also has a bit of a breeding kink. He's absolutely not ready to be a parent because his life is in shambles and as much as he loved his dad, he did not have good parental examples in his life, but regardless of his partner's gender or bodily anatomy, he likes the idea of filling you up, knocking you up and having that claim on you. I'm again blaming the Catholicism somehow.

Frank

The eye contact during sex!!!! Dude lost his whole family so anything good in his life he is afraid is going to slip away so he treasures it and takes it all in. We saw this during S2 with Beth but yeah, big guy just loves to watch every facial expression you make during sex.

He's also just really tender in bed. He's not big on kink stuff but will try it if you want but just wants to feel really connected during sex. He's mostly serious in bed but in a really beautiful and intimate way.

Mostly groans and grunts but loves to thrown in a "c'mon baby girl/boy" and begs for "just one more for me"

Bucky

I wrote a whole spiel about my Bucky bedroom hcs, but here's some more.

Of the three, I feel like Bucky is most playful and open to new things in bed. I don't think any of them are open to a full on Daddy kink, dom-sub kind of play but Bucky is the most likely to lean into elements and try things. After his time being under someone else's control I think he likes to feel a little in control, especially of his own body and sex life. But again, not fully into that type of dynamic. Like he might like to boss you around a little or call you dirty names in bed. Afterall, 1940s Bucky was a total flirt and very smooth with the ladies, so it stands to reason in bed he'd still bring some of that out.

Just to clarify it seems Elden and Deborah are still “unconfirmed” for DD:BA I assume they aren’t coming back but everything I’ve read is not giving any clear information, even the article that says they aren’t coming back isn’t saying anything 100%

Well, in that case … Have another one!

Once Frank notices that Matt tends to fall asleep on his couch a lot, he makes it a habit to occupy said couch and sleep there himself. So Matt will have to drag himself to his bed and get better sleep. Lawyers by day and vigilantes by night need good sleep, after all. Otherwise they become a danger to others and to themselves.

Of course Matt catches on. That's when he starts to wake Frank up and drag him to bed with him. Because Frank, too, deserves some good sleep.

("Am a marine, Red," Frank grunts, sleep-drunk, "'ould probably sleep better on the floor anyway.")

what it would be like to date foggy nelson-

- you get to hear the butcher story over and over again.

- he's really touchy. all the time. but it somehow gets even worse when he's drunk. you might lose sight of him for a second and the next you'll see him making his way towards you, arms wide open with a beer bottle in hand, ready to give you a big bear hug and a thousand kisses on the cheek

- when he's with other people, he literally won't shut up about you. he'll find a way to mention you in every single conversation. "oh this reminds me of when they ____" "did you know that they ___ ?" karen notices how his eyes sparkle and he starts playing with his hands, and of course matt notices how his heartbeat speeds up when he talks about you.

- cuddling with foggy is the best obviously. he'll bring snacks and blankets and y'all will curl up in bed together and watch your favorite movies. he's big spoon of course.

- foggy is a good cook. when you go grocery shopping he'll get ideas for for recipes he wants to try out. he'll test them on you and, no surprise, the food is always delicious.

- he's really your best friend too. he's always making jokes and making fun of you (lovingly of course) he cares so much for you and wants what's best for you.

it was raining, and you couldn’t sleep. it wasn’t that you were alone in the apartment -- you had become used to that over the years. it was pure worry, the kind that made your stomach hurt. you knew it was stupid, and yet you couldn’t shake that uneasy feeling. 

matt murdock took you in when you were five years old, and in the few years since then, you had come to recognize his routine. you knew that he left when you were asleep and returned before you were awake. only a couple months ago did you actually catch him returning, when he couldn’t walk a step without groaning in pain. ever since then, he told you when he was leaving, but he always told you not to wait up.

maybe it was the pouring rain that slapped the windows, the colorful lights outside twinkling menacingly into the main room of the apartment. maybe it was matt’s red glasses glinting on the kitchen counter. it could have been the silence that seemed to swallow the room, the rolling claps of thunder, or even the air conditioning that felt just a little too cold, but something was wrong, and it wouldn’t be right until matt returned.

suddenly, the door from above (you and matt had named it heaven’s door as a joke, and it stuck) banged open, jarring you from your thoughts. and there he was, the “man without fear”, the “devil himself”, struggling to keep himself upright as he shut it quietly behind him. you knew that he knew you were there, though you wished he didn’t. you wished you could have just fallen asleep, sparing yourself from having to see him like this right now.

a thunderclap. “y/n, why aren’t you asleep?” he spoke, wincing and making his way down the stairs slowly, one hand glued to the side of his face. 

“i just.. i just couldn’t sleep. the storm.” he could tell a lie from a mile away, but he didn’t say anything, thankfully. he eased himself onto a chair at the table where you ate all your meals, trying to take deep breaths. “i’ll get the med kit.” 

“no, it’s fine. you just go to sleep.” he said, but you had already rummaged under the sink, emerging with the yellow zip bag that held everything you needed. “you don’t have to-”

“matt.” you said, mustering up the nerve to be firm. “i’ll help you. let me help you. please?” he didn’t answer, just let out a heavy sigh. “do you need water?”

“sure.” he replied, tapping a finger on the smooth wooden table. “believe it or not.” he gestured to himself, soaking wet from the rain. a small smile was on his face. it made you feel a little more at ease. you went over to the cabinet, took out a glass. there was a small orange on the side of it-- it was always your favorite. you filled it carefully, placed it down next to him. while he drank some of it, you put on some music quietly. it usually helped you relax even more, and you knew he wouldn’t mind.

“ok.” you spoke, pivoting the chair next to matt so you could face him. “let me see.” though he sighed again, he didn’t protest this time. you looked, analyzing what needed to be done. “it’s not that bad.” he said again. “well it’s not that good either, murdock.” the side that he had been covering had a gash that looked pretty deep, and his knuckles seemed to be cracked and bleeding. “not as bad as last time, though.”

“no stitches, right?” matt asked, a smirk making it’s way onto his face. “i should’ve asked claire to do them last time. they were so lopsided i couldn’t wait for you to take them out.” you scoffed, but couldn’t help but laugh. “oh shut up! they were not that bad.” you unzipped the bag, taking out some gauze and wiping around the gash on his face. 

“i told foggy to get you some fabric so you could practice on that.” he said, and you shook your head. “y’know, i could just leave you right now man. do you want me to help or not??” a fresh piece of gauze went on top of the wound, and then a bandage to keep it there. “next time you get your face messed up, don’t talk so much. it’ll make it bleed more.”

“you’re just saying that.” he replied, laughing. another thunderclap sounded as the song changed, but it didn’t make you as nervous anymore. 

“no, i’m not. although trust me matt, i would love it if you had to shut up once in a while!” you zipped the bag back up, and went to put it back under the sink. 

“yeah, i’m sure you would kid.” he spoke, a sharp inhale signaling that he was going to get up. “how about i call you out sick tomorrow? you don’t have a test or anything, right?”

“you would do that?” you asked, turning to face him in surprise. 

“seeing as it’s 3am & you’ve been up all night, i think it would be best.” he replied, a tilt of his head accompanying a small smile. “you can come to the office. we can make up a story as to why i look like… this.”

Plot:

As of this moment (27.7.23) the plot hasn’t been decided, but this is where it gets fun. We’ll keep it loosely based on the events of the MCU from 2012 onwards. That does not mean we’re going to stick to every single event that happens from that point forward. What does this mean? It means you can have your character be present during an event they were never a part of. Example:

- Marc Spector! joining The Avengers in the Battle of New York!

- Bucky Barnes meeting The Avengers before Civil War!

- Loki assisting The Avengers defeat Ultron!

And much more cool stuff like this. The sky’s the limit.

Ideally we want to have the OG6 be present before starting the role play. Taken characters have been crossed out:

What about if you play literally any other character? Fear not! You can definitely join. We want you to join!

Ideally, we don’t want super overpowered characters because it’s going to make it not fun. We’re huge huge fans of the NMCU and the Brooklyn area (Hawkeye/Moon Knight etc) so if you play someone from there, that’s amazing.

Note: we don’t knock down rare pairs or rare friends. Some of our rare pairs are crazy, you wouldn’t see them anywhere else. You will never be judged no matter who you ship (provided they’re of age and it’s consensual)

tl;dr whoever you play, please bring them over

We encourage you to be a nerd! What the heck does this mean?

Share your character headcanons with us. Share headcanons about other characters with their admin. As long as you’re respectful of everyone’s take on their characters and don’t judge the headcanons themselves, nothing is more fun than sharing your own takes

The rakes can be deep and well thought-out or they can be cracky. You’ll probably find things like:

Sometimes the color blue triggers Clint’s fight or flight response now or Natasha Romanoff is an avid fan of Megan Thee Stallion.

We also strongly encourage you to discuss the relationship of your character to others. I.e. how much have they been present in each other’s lives? Since we don’t stick to a certain timeline, have they crossed paths with each other when it’s not canon? These discussions build a richer in-character interacting experience. Do your characters have inside jokes? Have they been on a mission before that ended HorrificallyTM?

Availability

People have lives. It’s best to set some time to noting down when you might be free on a day you’re roleplaying but only with your rp partner. Talk to them, establish if they even want an update on whether or not you’ll be available. Just understand that writing and rp is something we do to unwind and have fun; it’s a hobby not a chore.

for sleepover Saturday: any Fratt headcanons you’ve never been able to share/put in a fic/drawing?

Hah! A ton! There are just not enough hours in the day and there's not enough energy in me. But for the sake of this not getting out of hand, let's just do one for now. Have some domestic fluff for your weekend.

Matt is a bit of a slob when it comes to discarding his clothes. Not extreme, like throwing them on the ground, but letting them hang over various surfaces in his apartment until he needs to do laundry and collects them all. Some clothes aren't even dirty as he's worn them for only a few hours.

Frank, on the other hand, never got rid of his tidy nature that was drilled into him in the marines. He always neatly folds his clothes and puts them on The Clothes Chair(TM) to be worn again if they're still clean, or throw them in the laundry immediately if they're dirty. Whenever he comes over to Matt's apartment, he starts to clean up Matt's clothes. He folds the ones that are still clean, and puts them on The Clothes Chair(TM), while he throws the dirty ones in the laundry. Sometimes he'll even do Matt's laundry for him.

Matt is very grateful for that.
