Back at it again with my Danny is mom coded au’s, but this time it’s because of Clockwork that he suddenly has a whole ass teenage kid.
Clockwork had been bored or maybe he was playing a game against an opponent, or even lost a bet, whatever it was, he stepped in right as Jason was searching for his biological mother.
The DNA that would have registered itself as one Sheila Haywood, confirming Jason’s mother, glitched a terrible green across the screens of the batcomputer.
In those few moments of chaos Jason’s heart beat rapidly as he tried to figure out why the computer wasn’t working, wondering if his only chance to find his mom — his blood mom — would never find success.
Then as suddenly as things went wrong the DNA settled and pinged.
Jason watched, his chest tight, as one Danny C. Works, formerly Danny Fenton appeared onto the big screen.
Danny looked a lot like Jason, short cut black hair more straight than the subtle curls of Jason’s own; deep blue eyes, tired in a way that spoke of long days and nights, but with a warm happiness that made the familiar smile — the one Jason would see on himself every time he looked into the mirror — even more striking.
Jason didn’t linger too long on the male identifying gender, nor the fact his mom leaned more towards a masculine name or clothing.
There were plenty of male to female, and female to male leaning individuals that lived in Crime Alley. He had seen it enough to not even bat an eye at it, even now. After all, in Gotham you minded your business least you find yourself in business you can’t leave.
On a different monitor information of Danny C. Works piled for Jason to quickly browse through.
Danny was a senior engineer, no intimate relationships, and with no close connections to family outside of the tentative calls from Jasmine Fenton.
Danny was estranged from Jack and Madeline Fenton, a falling out that had occurred just a little before Danny’s high school graduation. If Jason calculated it correctly that would have been — around the season Jason himself would have been born.
Okay, so no grandparents then but I might have a maybe aunt. Jason scrolled further and stilled.
Twin toddlers: Dante and Danielle Works.
Jason had baby siblings.
He doesn’t let the sting of younger siblings consume him, doesn’t allow the whispering thoughts of why he had been given up when his younger siblings had been kept and so very obviously loved.
Jason took deep breathes, he didn’t have time to linger here. He had a family to get to, and a family he would get to.
It took almost all night to reach, the starlight night sky slowly and surely fading into cloudy wine as the sun rose, but Jason made it.
And when the door opened to his hesitant but firm knock, Jason was unable to speak. His mom — dad, maybe? Did they want to be mom or dad? — stood in the doorway, brows furrowed in confusion.
It was when Danny spoke his vigilante name did Jason only just realize that he was still dressed to the nine’s in his Robin costume.

Queen of the Cosmos
Signs are showing. Constantine dreads what they predict.
The Queen of the Cosmos, Successor of the Tyrant King, Ruler of Galaxies, Embodiment of Space, Keeper of Balance, Siren of Stars, and many more.
She's the most powerful BeingTM by millennia. As far as the information John's gotten has indicated.
The stars are flowing, swimming in smooth currents. The sun dims, cracks of darkness revealing nebulae so beautiful. The moon grins, knowing and mischievous. The horizon is a mixture of greens and purples and blues and yellows.
The Queen of the Cosmos will arrive, and she must be welcomed.
The Queen of the Cosmos shall come, and she must be respected.
The Queen of the Cosmos is near, and the royal family will follow.
John grimaced. A Wrathful Prince with a habit of glassing worlds? A Wandering Princess who played tricks? A Knight with a penchant for punishing dissenters with eternal madness? This wouldn't be easy. Time to tell the Big Guys and Girls.

It would be a fun omegaverse au where the crew knows Sanji is an Omega but Zoro. And it's not like he was hiding it either. Zoro just thought Sanji's an alpha bc of his physique and personality and how his alpha seems aggressive towards Sanji. He thought it's just the typical alpha repulsion when in reality his alpha just wanted his mate.
While Sanji can't believe Zoro's his mate and is pissed about it so he takes it out on Zoro. Making Zoro misunderstand more and Sanji didn't know that Zoro didn't know 😭

I. “Why do you keep avoiding Yuki?” Ayato says with contempt, making you flinch at the tone of his voice. Kamisato Ayato is angry, all because of her. Your heart drops at the thought, yet you can’t help but feel a surge of negative emotions. Recently there have been rumors circulating about Kamisato Ayato and Kaedahara Yuki: rumors of Infidelity.
You heard of the rumors accidentally during a social party. Before the mask came crashing down, Kamisato Ayato would clarify every rumor regarding the commission. However, despite hearing the distasteful rumor in-person, he stayed still, deciding to stay ignorant.
You stood still as you stared at him in disbelief. Thoughts of questions about his purpose and why he is feigning ignorance circulate in your head. You felt ill, those rumors would damage his and your reputation, something that you both hold dear. But, he stood still, almost like he was enjoying the rumors.
Why? why? WHY?
That was until everything came into place. You snapped your head away from his figure, painfully smiling to yourself as you finally understood why he was feigning ignorance. The gossipers would continue till Lady Kaedahara Yuki would personally tell them that it isn’t true. Curiously, you glanced at the commissioner, and oh how you would regret doing that.
His smile was forced, and his gaze held a bit of disappointment. You stare at him in disbelief, your heart shattering even more. God, Kamisato Ayato broke your heart once more, what did you do to deserve this?
But, you can’t help but laugh at the irony.
You and Kamisato Ayato have one thing in common: you both enjoy your delusions of being loved by the person you wish they hold you dear.
Kamisato Ayato’s love for Kaedahara Yuki is unrequited.
“[Name], I asked you a question,” says Ayato, snapping you back to reality.
“Ah. I’m sorry, I was just lost in thought,” you continue, putting on a small smile to hide your thoughts, “What did you say?”
“Why do you keep avoiding Yuki?”
God, he says her name with so much endearment it’s making you want to cry.
“Oh? I have never avoided Lady Yuki,” you reply with a smile.
It’s a lie, of course. You have been avoiding the former Kaedahara heir ever since her return to Inazuma. Though, it isn’t exactly avoiding, it is more like not meeting her unless needed. Furthermore, you and Kaedahara Yuki have not been acquainted before, so there was no reason to greet her.
However, the truth is, you can’t face her— your fiance's one-sided crush. She’s beautiful, charismatic and a person blessed by God, everything that you are not.
You fear that one day, jealousy would taint your mind and only her highness, the shogun, would know what you would do. After all, jealousy is a deadly disease that taints both the mind and heart, a disease that could only be cured by love. But, you don’t have that luxury, do you?
Ayato sighs with frustration as he runs his fingers through his hair. “Whatever you say,” he dismisses your defense, “Don’t make her feel bad ever again.”
And so, he leaves, leaving you once more once again.
II. As a child, you have always dreamed of a grand wedding. You, standing side by side with your lover as they look at you with a loving expression as you swear your love in front of all your friends and family; And the wedding garment of your dreams adorning your body, making you radiate like you bathed in fairy dust.
The grand wedding of your dreams should be the day you would only feel happiness, and nothing else.
So, you await for the day that someone would give you the wedding of your dreams, someone who would give you the world just because you asked for it. And the day you met your fiance, you believed that he would be the one to do so.
Yet impressions are different from their true human nature. The impressions you perceive from people are nothing but ideas you created in your head to fill in the lack of information you have regarding that person. The impressions you formed would then form a mask that would cunningly cover your judgment towards that person, staying ignorant to his ‘true’ nature.
Kamisato Ayato’s ‘mask’ was never there, your perception of people was just too naive and immature to handle a cunning man like the commissioner; it could not perceive Kamisato Ayato’s ‘true’ nature. But, who are you to blame? That man is cunning like a snake, crawling onto your skin as it makes you succumb to naivety. Therefore, you got yourself fooled and your hopes went up all because of your naivety and ignorance; Your impression on that man ruined your life.
Your dream wedding shattered in an instance, and your dreams for a happy future disappeared. Life has never been a rosy path with Archons smiling down at you as you obtain your happiness– so your experience is only natural, right?
‘This is reality,’ you would say to yourself, trying to cope with your indescribable distress, ‘Life should be nothing like the novels I’ve read.’
Your love for reading starts to dissipate, replaced with a sense of hatred. You hate reading, it was the reason why you were so naive, so caught up with the illusions that you ruined your perception towards people.
You can’t do this anymore, you can’t star in a play you didn’t want to be in.
You have to leave, you need to.
You would rather die than spend the rest of your life chained towards someone who sees you as a nuisance in his unrequited love.
But, How?
How can you, a sheltered child who only knows how to drown themselves in fantasies, run away from your family, friends…
Ayato?
You pitifully laugh at yourself, tears welling up in the corners of your eyes.
You’re pathetic.
You need to change.
III. “I’m worried about Master [Surname],” Ayaka confesses with her head down. Ever since the Irodori festival, she has seen less and less of her future in-law which makes her worried. Kamisato Ayaka adores you, much to her brother’s surprise. The two would usually converse over tea about the latest release from Yae’s Publishing House, laughing and joking around about how the latest chapter was out of your expectations.
Kaedahara Yuki listens to the younger Kamisato intently. Truth be told, she is curious about Kamisato Ayato’s, her childhood friend, Fiance, after all, she has never conversed with the aristocrat. Furthermore, you would be wed into a family that she considers her own, so who could blame her? Though, she has heard of you from a distance: the high-ranking aristocrat from the prestigious [Surname] family who is known to be collected and benevolent, delicate like a flower on top of a lake.
Every time she asks Kamisato Ayato about his fiance, he would brush it off and discuss their childhood memories, dismissing her curiosity. She would press Kamisato Ayato for details about his fiance, even begging him to introduce her to her. But as usual, Kamisato Ayato would dismiss her attempts, making her feel down.
But, if the oldest Kamisato can’t give her any information, shouldn't she ask from the youngest?
“I haven’t seen Master [Surname] since the Irodori Festival and it is making me worried,” Ayaka sighs, her expression down.
“Have you tried contacting them?”
“I did try to request an audience with them, but the servants said that they wish to be alone,” Ayaka pouts. “Have you ever seen them, Lady Yuki?”
Kaedahara Yuki blushes in embarrassment, “Oh Ayaka. Please don’t use ‘Lady’ to me anymore. I am no longer part of nobility.”
Ayaka giggles.
And so, Kamisato Ayaka stops talking about you.
Kaedahara Yuki isn’t cunning, so she does not press the youngest Kamisato anymore answers despite her curiosity; Though, if it was Ayato, she would continue to demand answers till her throat sores.
However, if an opportunity ever occurs where she could meet you, she would grasp that opportunity immediately, paying no mind to the effects it has on others.
IV. “Aren’t you Master [Surname]?” ask Kaedahara Kazuha as you nervously avoid his gaze.
Oh fuck.
You messed up.
For the first time, you decided to take a stroll on the streets of Inazuma late at night alone. You know this is a stupid decision, especially for someone as high as yourself. However, you needed a breather, and your family estate started to feel suffocating, so your only plan is to take a stroll alone. You knew your parents wouldn’t allow you to walk around the streets of Inazuma at night, especially without an escort, so sneaking out was only the option.
So, you hatched your plan. Though it was your first time sneaking out, you’ve read countless novels of the heroine running away to enjoy themselves in festivals. Hence, you have an idea of how to sneak out.
It was 10:30 PM, nearing midnight. You disguise yourself using old clothes you stole from your servant, stripping all your jewelry in your possession, and only keeping a few silver coins. Sneakily, you slid past your servants and guards, climbing out of your estate’s wall. It took you a few tries due to your lack of physical strength; however, after some attempts, you succeeded. You quickly run away from your estate; The cool night breeze brushes your face as the song of the trees accompanies you on your journey. You smile to yourself-- for the first time in your life-- you felt free.
However, your adrenaline rush was caught short as you spotted a man with silver hair in the distance.
You tried your best to avoid him, but the man has the wind by his side. And so, here you are.

You awkwardly laugh, “Kaedahara Kazuha, it is a pleasure to meet you.”
Kaedahara Kazuha stays quiet; his eyes are wide in shock as he notices your tattered clothing and unkempt appearance. You are a person of high regard, never in your life have you worn poor-quality garments and presented yourself unsightly. Even as a young child, Kaedahara Kazuha could only observe you from a distance due to the immense status gap, despite being a former aristocrat. Therefore, he can’t help but be shocked at your appearance.
..
...
'Ah. I am doomed.' You thought. Today is your first time sneaking out of your estate, and you got caught. Sweat rolls down your cheek as you wait for the younger Kaedahara to reply. Numerous thoughts fill your mind as you wait, countless of which was fueled by anxiety.
'What if he tells on me?' 'If he ever tells this to Ayato, would I be disposed of for being improper?' 'If my family finds out, I would never be allowed to step foot outside of my family estate.'
Your expression darkens as you fall into despair, realizing the gravity of the situation. For the first time, you felt free, no longer trapped in a well-decorated cage like an ornament for display. However, you got caught.
Suddenly, Kaedahara Kazuha speaks.
"Don't worry," he says as you slowly look up at him, "I won't tell anyone." Your mouth was slightly ajar, confused. "Huh?" You mutter.
Kazuha smiles, "Everyone has their reasons for running away."
"But I'm not running away," you refute. Kazuha looks at you confused, "Huh?"
"I'm just here for a stroll," you state.
"Ah." Kazuha rubs the back of his neck, embarrassed, "I apologize for the assumption."
"It's alright," you smile.
An awkward silence fills the air as you two refrain from talking. Truth be told, this is Kaedahara Kazuha's first time conversing with you; moreover, he is not one to chat with children from other aristocratic families-- that was his sister's job. Due to this, he does not know what to say.
Regardless, this does not stop him from worrying. Why? Probably because you are his former superior's fiance? Who knows. Furthermore, Kazuha knows better than to leave you alone at night. Though you are wearing old and poor-quality clothes, your aura screams "rich noble", which can make you a target for petty thieves.
So, Kaedahara Kazuha makes a decision.
"I won't tell anyone," He repeats. "However, please allow me to accompany you, master [Name]."

"Is it six?"
"Five, Carl, the answer is five." Carl's face shifted to a slight frown as he shifted in his seat.
It has been nearly three hours since you arrived at the Gallaghers' household.
"Hey, don't worry." You placed your hand on Carl's shoulder. "You're getting better."
You started cramming your notes back into your bookbag. "Seriously, Carl. Maybe you might actually pass 10th grade."
He smirked. Shoving your shoulder lightly as you giggled.
"Leaving so soon?" Carl asked, tilting his head smirkingly.
"Like always, out by eight." You said as you placed your bookbag on your shoulders.
"Can't you stay a little longer?"
You looked at Carl as if he was insane.
"You know my curfew's ten. Anything past that without a 24-hour notice for my parents, I might as well be digging my own grave."
"Come on! You still got an hour!"
"Thirty minutes. It takes thirty minutes for me to walk ho-"
"Ten more minutes, then I'll walk you home."
"What are we even going to do?"
You were exhausted nonetheless. Tutoring three different people each week can really fill in your schedule.
"I don't know. Something fun? Come on! Losen up a bit. Bend the rules a little!" Carl stood in front of you. Barely three inches away from your face. "Come on, let's go to my room. I want to show you something."
Quick skip! ~ Into Carl's bedroom!
"So, what'd you want to show me?"
"This."
Carl pulled a piece of paper out of his drawer. Showing it with pride.
"Wha- Carl!" You grabbed the paper out of his hands. "You didn't tell me you had a test!"
"And I aced it too."
"And why do you even have me as a tutor?" You leaned into his face, teasingly scrunching your nose at him. "I'm proud of you!"
"Thanks." He smiled proudly.
Carl placed his hands in his pockets as he held his shoulder high. He lowered his head as he looked at you with a smirk. Carl swayed closer to you. "I wanted to prove to you that I'm not as stupid as those other kids you tutor."
And by those other kids, he means Chuck and some other random loser.
"Oh, Carl. I never thought you were stupid." You said, shaking your head slightly. Looking up at him. His chest was barely touching yours.
Carl slowly tilted his head as he lowered it- closer to yours. He looked at your lips, then back to your eyes. As he slowly closed his. His hands slowly but softly cupped your checks. Keeping your head firm. Your heart jumped when you realized what he was about to do. Your lips barely grazed each other before you pushed him away.
"What are you doing?" You asked him. You were a bit shaken by his sudden act.
Let's just say that Carl was a bit taken aback by your action.
"Wha-What do you mean?" He asked with a hint of nervousness in his tone.
"Carl what kind of relationship do you think we have...?"
'I..."
"I should go."
You gave him back his test paper as you quickly left his room. Leaving him to contemplate his choices.
Time skip!~
The next day was a little awkward... You quickly noticed how Carl's behavior changed every time you entered a room. He was tense, always trying to leave. He didn't even bother to attend today's session.
Clearly, there was a problem, and the guilt was eating you alive.
You didn't mean to make things awkward with him. You like Carl... a lot! You just panicked... You weren't used to being treated like that. You never even had a boyfriend before and never really gave that idea much thought.
The next day you sat outside eating lunch when you saw Carl and his buddy Nick walk out the school door. You placed your food down and quickly tried to catch up to them. You wanted to fix things.
Nick saw you running towards him and Carl, and he quickly tapped Carl's shoulder.
"Hm?" He turned his head just enough to see you running.
His heart started pounding as his cheeks began to turn pink. He turned his head, hiding his embarrassment from Nick.
"H-Hey..."
"Hey." Said Carl with his hands in his pockets.
"So, uh... You didn't show up for our last session; why?"
"I had some stuff I needed to finish... You know, business."
"Oh, ok, umm... Are you gonna be there tonight? My place? We have a test coming up for Government."
Carl looked at Nick then back at you. We'll be there."
Usually, Carl would never let Nick in your guy's sessions. He would always tell him to wait in a different room, or if you guys were studying somewhere other than in his house, he would just have him stay home. But this time, it was different.
Time skip~
You were currently organizing your desk. It's been a while since you and Carl studied there. Usually, you guys would study in Carl's room.
Finally, the doorbell rang. "I'll get it!" You yelled.
You opened the front door to see Carl holding his bookbag and his friend Nick who doesn't talk much.
"Hey, your late."
You were never a fan of tardiness. Being raised the way you were, you always thought it was rude, and you knew he knew that about you too.
"Yeah, well, we got caught up in something. Anyways let's get this over with, yeah?"
Carl was clearly giving attitude. You weren’t a huge fan of that, but you hoped you still had a chance to explain yourself during the session.
Anyways, the three of you all headed towards your room.
"Umm... Is Nick joining us this time?"
"Yeah!" He spat. "Nick's tired of always being left out. Said he wanted to learn things too."
"Right..."
You knew that Carl had a bit of a bad boy reputation, but he never intimidated you or made you feel small before. At least not until that point.
"Ok, let's get started..."
You and Carl both sat at the desk. Pencils out and notebooks open. Meanwhile, Nick just stood there hovering over you both.
You couldn't really focus well and surprisingly Carl started correcting you-
"It's five Y/n. Remember? We did this question yesterday."
"O-oh, right." You quickly erased your answer. Fixing it.
Two hours passed, and it felt like an eternity for you. You couldn't stand sitting quietly there with him anymore... So, you spoke.
"Hey, sorry, I know we're in the middle of this question, but can we talk... in private?" You whispered the last part.
Carl sighed and signaled Nick to leave the room. He seemed annoyed.
"So, what'd you want to talk about."
"Umm... about our last session..."
"I told you I had something I-"
"No- I mean..." You closed your eyes and inhaled some air.
You were never good with confrontation, even if it was you doing it. No matter if you did something wrong or the other way around. It always made you nervous.
"What about it." Carl spat.
"I-I'm sorry. If I did something wrong. Don't get the wrong idea. I- I do like you, Carl." You closed your eyes. "I just wasn't expecting that. I didn't want to destroy our friendship, and I was just scared. I- I never kissed anyway before..." You looked at him, head hung low. "I'm sorry."
Right then and there, that sparkle Carl lost returned to his eyes. As his face shifted into a smirk. Of course, he tried not to show it.
He cupped his hand on your cheek and wiped away your tears. The room soon went quiet, as Carl once again grabbed ahold of your face.
You once again started panicking as Carl's face got closer… He tilted his head once again. Closing his eyes- Your face soon turned red as he closed the gap between your lips.
And there you have it. You two kissed. It only lasted for a minute, but it felt like forever. Time froze right there and then. It felt so magical to you. Your heart was pounding like crazy, and you just sitting there, frozen as he moved his lips on yours. Your cheeks were so red that you were a whole tomato by the time you two were done.
When he pulled away, you were a bashful mess. Stuttering everywhere.
"I- I-ah-"
"Shh... quiet down, angel." Said Carl as he placed his lips on yours once again. You frozed once again, but this time you closed your eyes tightly.
Two seconds later, the door burst open.
"Y/n! Who the hel-!?"
Your father came in...
"CARLLLLL!"

Hi!! Can I request a Larissa x teacher!reader where reader has younger siblings so they understand the references, jokes, and slang that the students use so they get along well with them. Larissa hears reader talking to the students one day and is confused, but reader finds it adorable and tease Larissa a little (in the lighthearted way). Thanks!!
From Newark to Burlington #2
Hey, anon! I won't lie, I was sneaky with this one. I loved your request and thought the liveliness would go just perfect with my From Newark to Burlington reader, so I hope you don't mind I incorporated that in the part 2. It is just a tiny bit more steamy and angsty than I think you envisioned, but there is almost nothing there but lighthearted teasing and fun, so don't worry! I hope you enjoy it and thank you so much! Also, can you tell I don't know half a thing about slangs?

Larissa Weems is your new boss. Who knew that your crush could get any weirder and more complicated? Congratulations, Universe! Good one!
Being a normie teacher in a school for outcasts was too fun to be allowed. You never thought your students could give you such a good time but when a vampire kid explained the entire Russian Vampire Affair from the early 1920s in vivid detail because their "parents were there" was a treat; or when another described the burning of the meeting house in Jericho itself because they saw it in a vision, chef's kiss.
You were thrilled. Teaching those kids was the most fun you've had for a while in an academic setting. But that was not the only thing keeping your high spirits. Larissa Weems was your new boss.
Could the Universe come up with a bigger joke? How would it surprise you now? Or worst: how could it fuck you over harder than this?
It was unprofessional to fantasize about your employer, but you're sure it was also unprofessional to look that good when stopping by "just to check how things are going."
Your students thought you were afraid of the principal because every time she appeared you looked sickly pale or lost all semblance of coherence while talking. Larissa Weems made you a lusty mess, and you were not having it!
You: Can I take you up on the hot chocolate offer?
You waited a bit for a reply, but Weems was probably busy overworking herself to answer. Her contact name was still "Larissa" from when she typed it into your phone; she wasn't Larissa anymore. Now she was boss, or principal, or headmistress. It was only three weeks, but you missed the flight where she was just the stranger who ruined your jacket and slept on your shoulder.
Larissa: Please do. When would you like to meet? Is 4 p.m. ok?
Wow, replying under ten minutes! Principal Weems was wild today!
You: Perfect. I'll meet you there...
You typed and erased and typed and erased. At the end you sent:
You: Perfect. I'll meet you there, gorgeous x
Was flirting with your boss okay? It was when you didn't know each other, but now it seemed illicit and even more exciting.
She was already there when you arrived, but hadn't ordered. You slipped into the booth with a half-smile, looking up at her beautiful blue eyes.
"Hello there," she had a charming warm smile on her face, looking almost like a proud mother when their child did something kind.
I wouldn't object to calling you mommy. You thought and had to cough to hide your heating face from her.
"I took the liberty of asking for them to keep our drinks warm, they'll bring it over anytime soon," she rested her hand on top of each other on the table "So, how have you been acclimatizing? Are the students warming up to you?" she could not stop being the principal of Nevermore even while on a date. Was it a date? You counted it as one.
"They are soo much fun. I love them all," you beamed at her and a young barista came if two cups of hot chocolate with extra cream "Thank you!-"
"I must say that I was worried they'd be a bit weary of having another normie teacher after the incident of last year. We accidentally employed a radical with plans of destroying the school." she said carefully, her eyes trained on yours.
"Gee, that sound horrible. Was everyone ok?" she seemed to approve of your reaction. Was she testing you?
"One student, unfortunately, died, along with several normies hitchhiking in the proximities, but the teacher and her accomplice were emprisioned."
"I'm so sorry," you reached for her hands, caressing them in a way you hoped was comforting "I swear I don't want to kill anyone. At least while they're all behaving." you joked and immediately regretted it thinking it was too soon to make fun on something so serious, but to your delight and absolute relief, Larissa burst into a fit of laughter, breathtakingly full.
After that, it was much easier to talk. She seemed to drift to other topics instead of school, even sharing that she was almost sure you were the new teacher when you discussed your class plans on the airplane. You joked and attempted flirting a bit, feeling almost frustrated that it was so easy with everyone else but with her, it seemed like you were stepping on a bed of nails, scared she might reject you.
In the end, it was a lot of fun. You were almost sure she wanted you, even if she tried to conceal it, and your hopes were up.
It was the last class of the day and everyone was choosing their seats at the rearranged tables to form four big groups. Today your little hell-sents would recreate historical moments when outcasts advanced in their fight for acceptance in society by building dioramas. They seemed excited enough when you told them and started working as soon as each got their prompt.
About ten minutes into the class, someone politely knocked at the door. How could a knock sound polite you didn't know, but you very much knew who could be the only person to achieve that.
Larissa greeted you with a warm smile, saying she just wanted to pass by to see how everyone was acclimatising to you. Luckily, your students seemed to like you well enough, and when Principal Weems asked what they thought of you so far Enid said, "Professor l/n slays, principal"
Some other students also contributed, complimenting you on how your classes were banging compared to last year's. You didn't like to be compared but couldn't contain the smugness from being the "cool teacher"; maybe having your pest younger siblings was not so bad if you could relate to teenagers more easily.
After hearing the praises, Larissa seemed half-satisfied half-confused. You didn't realize why that was, but quickly forgot about it when she said:
"Also, I meant to ask you after our lovely outing yesterday but ended up forgetting it," she explained "Would you like to visit me later for wine? After dinner, maybe?" she seemed perfectly innocent, but her accentuated Ts and low voice made your stomach lurch nonetheless.
"Of course-" you stopped abruptly, your voice too high and certainly perking up a few students' ears "I would love too. I'll see you at dinner?"
Larissa only nodded, amused, and left you to continue the class.
The class ran smoothly after that. The dioramas were not completely finished but you allowed everyone to pick up on their work the next week, they were having fun while learning and that was all that mattered.
While your students were leaving you started packing up your own things; you would grade in your rooms since they had a more comfortable sitting arrangement. When you were finished and ready to go, you noticed four students still in the room, whispering amongst themselves by the door.
"Hey, guys. Can I help you with anything?" you smiled at the girls, Wednesday, Enid, Bianca and Yoko. Curious how they would be friends, being all so very different from each other.
Enid eyed her companions unsurely before taking a step forward, "We were just wondering... we heard you and Principal Weems talking earlier, and after you seemed very..." she fumbled for words, and Wednesday provided an end to her sentence:
"Out of sorts, in a way. Have you done anything to upset the headmistress?" she arched a brow, very to the point, that girl.
"No, why would you guys think that?"
"You just seemed very bothered, pale and breathing fast. We thought you were in trouble," Yoko provided.
While you discussed, Larissa passed by your class, assuming it was ended and no one would be there beside you, but stopped at the sound of multiple people talking about... was it her name she was hearing?
"Girls, I am not in trouble. Don't worry."
"Then why did you look upset?" Bianca jumped in, in a demanding tone you couldn't blame a siren from sporting. It was rather becoming on her, really.
You debated with yourself what to tell them. Maybe it was that you missed the twins, or maybe the madness you felt for repressing your lust for the principal, but you decided to confide in them.
"Do you really want to know?" you asked in an almost desperate tone, they seemed to thrive by the prospect of gossip and nodded vehemently "I'm just... I'm just... simpingsofuckingmuchforthatwoman" you finished in a rush.
They were quiet for a moment, you didn't know if it was shock, disgust, or just plain simple confusion.
"Called it," Wednesday said.
"What?!" you squeaked.
"I mean it was obvious..." Yoko drawled.
Were they having you on all this time? Just to get the information out of you?
"I completely understand, I mean she's so boujee with her clothes and that air about her"
While you were slowly melting to the ground, Larissa was at levels upon levels of confusion on the other side of the door. What were you talking about? Simping? Boujee? What in heaven was all that?
"How did you know?" you asked in a disbelieving voice.
"The way you look at her? How your face looses all colour? Kinda sus," Enid chirped in. Jesus, you were so obvious, weren't you? Weems probably was just having some fun with you, watching all the different expressions your panicked lusty mind painted on your face.
"Your reaction is fully understandable and supported by us," Wednesday said in her monotone, was she saying they ship you?
"Absolutely, I'm a total stan" Enid agreed.
"Yes girl, she's totally sliving it and you deserve something good, you're the coolest teacher in this school but your awkward-ass baby vibes demand a good mommy," Yoko finished.
At the end of it, you were laughing and joking about how much of a mommy she would be, and Larissa could only gather that maybe you felt intimidated by her and the girls thought you deserved someone better, softer and that didn't make you feel so nervous. She left in a haze of thoughts, thinking about how had she managed to make you uncomfortable when she had only ever tried to flirt and be approachable. Maybe her appearance was too much for you, maybe you two were never going to work because you felt you had no choice but to be responsive and flirt back. She was so very confused, she thought you had a connection but maybe she interpreted it all wrong. Well, she had certainly dealt with disappointment before, you would only add to a long list. She wasn't necessarily sad, it was almost funny actually, she'd just have to deal with the embarrassment of it.
Dinner felt charged. When you waved to the principal, she gave you a curt nod and a smile. You sat beside her to talk, maybe flirt a bit, but she only seemed dismissive of your attempts. It was as if electricity filled your veins and tensed your spine, but not in a fun way. Larissa was weirdly relaxed, almost like you hadn't gone on a date and she had invited you for drinks. She was civil enough, talking with Vlad and Persephone, but the jovial remarks and amused smirk didn't include you.
Later, when you were getting ready to go to her office, you realized your shoulders were still tense. Maybe her behaviour at dinner was she trying to tell you she thought better of it and didn't want you to come. You were almost giving up going when the girl's voices came to your mind, about how they thought your energy balanced so well and your tentative banter was the cutest (according to Enid and very much not Wednesday). If she didn't want you she might as well say it to your face, you decided and marched confidently down the corridor.
"Oh, you came," Larissa greeted you surprised after three curt knocks "I thought you wouldn't want to after all." she seemed eerily calm and polite.
"Why wouldn't I want to come?" you asked genuinely curious while following her inside.
She filled two glasses of red wine, sweet but earthy you realized, and sat on one of the chairs by the fire.
"I'm not prone to dancing around a subject," she said matter-of-factly, looking into the fire "I may have been in the past but I learned it only causes unnecessary discomfort."
You had no idea where this was going, but hey, being direct was a great trait, right?
"I heard you talking to some girls after your last class. I was going to stop by for a chat but ended up listening in."
You felt your face heating up. Had she heard you nonsensically thirsting over her to your students? Jesus Christ, that was so embarrassing. Wait, would she scold you for talking about the principal with them? It would only be fair but you thought the mortification of knowing she heard it was punishment enough, honestly.
"Oh my god, I'm so sorry!" you felt laughter slowly rise from the nervousness "They forced me to tell them, I swear!" now you were laughing, so embarrassed you could only laugh more and by the confused and almost amused expression on Larissa's face it was not helping your case.
She wasn't taking your regret seriously, and thinking it funny wouldn't alleviate any reprimand she might give you.
"I just..." you wheezed "I just had to tell someone" you coughed, cleaning tears from your eyes. You were so desperate.
"I'm upset about it," Larissa said calmly, and that made your laughter slowly subside "But I do agree that it is a bit humorous, if not to me. It is completely fine, really, I just wish you had told me you didn't think about me that way."
She was so put together. What the fuck was she talking about, though?
"What do you mean 'didn't think about me that way'?" you frowned, tilting your head.
She seemed equally confused, "You were discussing how intimidating I was? I believe someone mentioned I was 'boujee'? and 'sliving it'?"
It didn't make any sense to you. What was she talking about? You literally confessed simping for her... unless she didn't know... what it meant?
"And what do you think it means to be those things?" you asked carefully, picking up your wine glass and sipping with an arched brow.
She frowned and accompanied the movement of your hands with her eyes when you put the glass back down.
"Because I remember saying I am a simp for you, which means I would do whatever the hell you asked me and say thank you," her eyes went wide at that, and you smirked, continuing in a lower tone "and boujee means you are so fucking stylish and screams classy mommy all over,"
"And what does sliving mean...?" Larissa replied in a whisper, taking you in with a tight swallow, her hand dropping her own glass of wine on the floor.
"It means," you started, getting up from your chair to walk toward her, silently asking for permission to come close "that you are a glamourous and powerful woman in complete control of your life and consequentially the reason I drink three liters of water a day because I'm always so fucking thursty," you finished sitting in her lap, her hands around your waist.
"How was I supposed to understand that from all the gibberish you were talking?" if ".exe stopped working" was a facial expression, that would be her at that moment and you could not keep from laughing again.
"You weren't," you chuckled, that woman was adorable "Because as I and the girls agree, you are such a mommy" you finished before kissing her with the biggest smile.
I know this was a long time coming, guys, sorry!

utterly obsessed that Story of Kunning Palace's opening montage for each episode that covers the people she seduced & wronged in her past life includes the princess who inadvertently falls in love with her.
montage is like, yes! the childhood best friend who I dumped for the crown prince (and oops his family got murdered), crown prince who I used as a stepping stone to empress, scary murder teacher who I banged once & bribed w my death, The One Good Man whose rep and life I destroyed, oh and that princess that had a huge crush on me.
like, I presumed when it first came up that this would be a comedy point. but no! in all seriousness, continues to be listed on the official ledger of her Crimes Against the Human Heart.

(sorry for leaving y’all in suspense I was grocery shopping) Surprise!! I accidentally got into Len’en like two weeks ago. Whoops! I got ideas for cool drawings to do with each of the BPoHC shrine team members (and you-know-who, ofc, but that one might be… weird lol), but Tsubakura gets to go first cause theirs is the simplest; just greyscale + red color scheme with a split background and the pose is mostly random (maybe they’re squishing Tsurubami’s little eye thing? Idk). Very pleased with how everything worked out; the line for the eye is exactly where the dividing line for the background was and the way I managed to make the vest corseted while not changing the ribbon placement is just perfect. Although I did make their hat smaller out of the aforementioned cowardice also that thing is hard to draw
#art#digital#len’en#tsubakura enraku#for those not in the know: Len’en is a game series inspired by Touhou but there’s a number of things different about it and it is rapidly#spiraling off into a very complicated story and also other game genres; also every character’s gender is officially ‘whatever’#This character (Tsubakura) plays like Marisa but is also a shrine maiden (priest) along with the Reimu type character#Nonbinary (to me) mad scientist.#Replaces soy sauce with calligraphy ink in every culinary application.#Made a nuclear bomb once supposedly on accident.#Locked in a blood feud with their 3(ish) absurdly powerful ex-girlfriends and this has led to at least one actual war. so far#(hello high brightness users! :D)#Apparently mastered genetic engineering and mostly uses it for stuff like making it so they can put ink in their coffee and not die from it#what’s not to love#oh ya I doubt anyone cares much since this was in the tags but I got some stuff wrong due to misunderstanding & exaggeration for comedy sryy#nuclear bomb was definitely an accident cause they got really sad about it after which is soooooo funny#they do eat ink and also soap but it’s not really explained why it doesn’t kill them of why they like it#also they made an artificial human (+ several androids) who’s supposed to be an assassin and used to be an even more blatant mega reference#hasn’t actually killed anyone yet cause their first target is Tsubakura lol#and I’m barely exaggerating abt the ex girlfriend thing; they haven’t been confirmed to have dated in canon but they were quote#‘close enough to want to murder each other’#and one of them is very homoerotic about it all the time so like rlly not that out of pocket#admittedly the one I’m drawing somewhat homoerotic art of with Tsubakura atm is probably one of the other two but whateverrrr#it still fits Arde well enough#*mgs reference

The Housewife's Guide to Causing Chaos
by dvasva (@dvasva)
M, WIP, 117k, Wangxian
Summary: “Of all the rotten luck I could have!” Outside, in between the gentle embrace of an imposing misty mountain and the caress of soft wind, stood the Cloud Recesses. It wasn’t a section that Wei Wuxian had recognized from his time in the sect, but the motifs of clouds and cranes in the buildings, the impeccable feng shui and carefully manicured paths, and the utter silence as the sect members slept peacefully, all burned themselves into Wei Wuxian’s eyes. No wonder the curtains were so firmly nailed to the walls! Any bit of demonic energy escaping the room could call down a veritable army of righteous cultivators! What sort of person in their right mind would dare to summon a spirit into their own body using resentful energy in the Cloud Recesses of all places? What kind of person would scoff so rudely at the Lan Clans most important rule, ‘Do not fraternize with evil?’ After being dead for four years, Wei Wuxian wakes up in a body he doesn't really feel comfortable with, in a place that he's sure wants him dead, and married to a man who surely hates him. Kay's comments: Another story that I'm currently following and which always makes me shout in excitement when the notification for an update comes! A story in which Wei Wuxian gets brought back to life way earlier, but a) now he's stuck in a woman's body, b) it's a woman of the Meishan Yu Sect and c) he's married to Lan Wangji. I really love the character developement in this and the life this story gives to background characters and it's always good to see Wangxian reunited and married sooner. Poor Wei Wuxian only has to deal with a dysphoria and transphobia now, but at least the Lans are supportive and help him to the best of their abbilities when it comes to this. I also really love the relationship between Wei Wuxian and Lan Sizhui here - our little radish is a lot younger too after all. Excerpt: “Wei Ying.” Lan Wangji said it so softly, so tenderly. It almost hurt to hear. Wei Wuxian had never heard Lan Wangji’s voice so soft, and yet it felt so familiar and inviting. Any guilt that Wei Wuxian felt for being on the receiving end of such care was whisked away. He wanted to melt right there. Instead, he tensed. “Ah, isn’t interrupting people breaking the rules? How did you guess so fast? I barely made it a single day without someone recognizing me. What gave it away?” He blabbered, fast paced and without a breath. “Listen, Lan Zhan, I’m really not going to do anything bad, I’m not eve-“ Lan Wangji grabbed his hand, and Wei Wuxian stopped in his tracks. It wasn’t a very strong grip. If he wanted to, Wei Wuxian could break free or tug his hand back. Lan Wangji’s hand seemed to tremble as if ready to pull back at any sign of discomfort. But, Wei Wuxian did not move, simply waiting. With no resistance, Lan Wangji turned Wei Wuxian’s hand over so that his palm was up, then placed the jade token on it. With both of his hands, he closed Wei Wuxian’s fingers over the token and pushed it towards Wei Wuxian’s body. “What?” “I will not trap you here.” Lan Wangji stood up. “Please let me attend to your wound.”
pov alternating, canon divergence, trans male character, trans wei wuxian, love confessions, getting together, transphobia, good parents lan wangji & wei wuxian, mutual pining, misunderstandings, arranged marriage, gender dysphoria, cultivation sect politics, hurt/comfort, corporal punishment

Do It All The Time (Hisoka x Chubby Reader x Illumi)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When Hisoka and Illumi realize that they both want to catch your eye. How far will they take the competition for your affection.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hi guys, I'm back at it again. Bringing the throuple energy, but with a gender neutral reader this time. I really think that these guys would just date who they're interested in, regardless of gender. Any who, hope you enjoy.
Also sorry for the late post. I'm getting over being sick. So with that and the holidays, I honestly forgot what day it was.
---------------------------------------------------------
He was watching you again. Letting his gaze slowly rake over your plush form. Imagining how pliable and soft you would be under his fingers. He shuddered at the mere thought of how you would feel.
“You know, you could get your work done faster if you paid attention.” You would never understand how Hisoka got any work done. He always seemed to be in his own world.
Turning to you, with a smug look on his face, he reveled in the attention you have him. Only for his expression to sour when he noticed an interuption.
Illumi placed a hand on your shoulder as he stepped behind you. “Yes, I have to agree with (Y/N). You would be a better employee if you kept your mind on the set task.” His gazes attempted to pin the other man in place.
He didn't enjoy the obvious challenge, or the fact that he still had a hand on you. “Maybe i’m just talented enough to focus on more than one thing at a time.” He placed on a false smile and placed his hand on yours.
Sliding yourself out of both of their grasps, you faced the duo. “Be that as it may, efficiency is a likeable quality in any coworker.” Heading towards the door, you glanced over your shoulder and raised an eyebrow. “Plus not pissing off the boss is even better.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It was on their walk home that Hisoka decided to retaliate. “Agreeing with them isn’t going to make them view you as more attractive.” He cut his sharp gaze over to his roommate. Only to see that his expression was as blank as ever.
Without even a look at the other man, he kept a steady pace towards their apartment. “Being an agreeable partner is always a sought after quality. It also doesn’t matter, because they were right. You do lose sight of what’s important, if there is a more entertaining option.”
While he wanted to argue, he knew they were both right. But that didn't mean that he couldn't get a little petty revenge, as pay back that is. A smirk slid over his face at the idea. “Perhaps I should ask them about what they looks for in a partner. Yes, over lunch would be a good option.”
His visage never shifted, however his hands balled into tight fist. “That might be a good idea. I could make a pasta dish.” Illumi held back his annoyance, he wanted to be the one to invite you over.
His eyes crinkled in amusement. This was better than the previous thought. Originally he wanted to ask you out in front of his roommate, but to bring you over to their place. Well that would be an entertaining gambit indeed.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Happy that it was the end of your work week, you took your time with the final task for the day. It was better to hold off on finishing early, than getting over loaded at the last minute.
This made the unexpected visit from Hisoka a pleasant surprise. “What a nice coincidence. I could use a break.”
His brows rose at the statement. Then a teasing smirk came across his face. “Weren’t you just reprimanding me on taking work more seriously?”
Rolling your eyes, you pointed at a near by clock. “I still feel that way, but when it’s this close to the weekend. I tend to make an exception.”
Leaning his hip against your desk, he leans towards you. “I see.” Then he flick two fingers forward and producing a piece of paper from thin air. “We want you to come over for dinner tomorrow. I want to spend some time with you.” He had to hold back a giggle. Imagining the face Illumi would make if he heard the conversation. They had agreed to say the pair wanted you to come, but that didn't mean that he couldn’t pull you in his direction.
Thinking it over for a moment, you realized it would be nice to get to know them better. At work it felt like every time you weren't busy, was spent with them. “Ok, sounds fun. What can I bring?”
Bringing his face closer to your own, he said. “Your beautiful body.” Walking off, his smirk widened. He couldn't wait to tell Illumi how it went.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Though they wouldn't admit it out loud, the pair was nervous for your arrival. Hisoka had put more effort into tidying the place than ever before. While Illumi cooked a simple, but none the less delicious pasta dish. All that was left to be done now was fidget as they waited for you. It wasn’t a silent wait though.
“Did I tell you the whole conversation we had?” The smug expression on his face was one of his most antagonistic.
“Yes, you have. Several times in fact.” The same passive look as always, all the while he was seething inside.
Before the ‘discussion' could become physical, a knock came from the front door. The men shot a look at each other, then scrambled to be the first to greet you. Trying to trip or shove one another, it took longer than necessary to get there.
Illumi was the first one there, due to a well aimed jab. As he opened the door, he couldn't help but drink in your luscious figure. The way your outfit was a complimentary drape over a goddess such as yourself. If only you would give him the chance to worship you.
“Hi, I hope you don’t mind if I brought dessert.” You held up a white box with a twine tied around it. “I know Hisoka said to not being anything, but there is a great bakery near my place. I stop by there when I get a chance and it's nice to share it with others.”
Without missing a beat he said. “That must be what makes you so sweet.” He enjoyed the amused look you had.
“I should be saying that about you guys. It was so nice of you to invite me over.” You stepped into the apartment and placed your hand on his arm. “Seriously, I don’t get out much. So it was a pleasant change to get an invite.”
Your genuine smile shook him to his core.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dinner was delightful. Hisoka brought out a bottle of red wine, while Illumi dished up pasta with a red sauce. Everything was filling and immaculate. The issue started after the plates were taken away.
“Darling, I told you to only bring that luscious body of yours. You didn't need to trouble yourself with dessert.” He laided a hand on your own and gave it a gentle squeeze.
Shaking your head you smiled. “Nonsense. I had to pay you both back for the lovely invitation. It’s the least I could do.” You looked over to the other man. “Especially after your excellent cooking. Do you think you could give me the recipe?“
Illumi was beaming from your attention. And Hisoka could tell. The man was seething. How could you give your affection to anyone but him.
A gentle smile settled on his face. “It's a recipe my father made for my mother. It was one of her favorites. Though he always undercooked the pasta, but that didn't matter to her.”
You were surprised that he was sharing such intimate information. It was rare to hear him mention anything about his family. “That’s so sweet. And for you to carry on with someone you care about. I’m honored to have had the chance to try it.”
He was going to tell you that he was happy that he could continue the tradition with you. Until Hisoka decided it was time to move on.
“Why don’t we adjourn to the living room for a movie.” He pulled you from your chair and guided you to the couch. Shooting a glare behind you at his romantic rival.
The man raised a brow and followed the both of you.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The movie picked was a stereotypical action movie. Basic save the world plot, but with enough fire fights to hold your attention. That would be if you weren’t sandwiched between two men. They seemed to be in a battle to see who could cuddle you harder. The red head had pulled you against him and wrapped an arm around you. While the other leaned into you and played with your fingers. You saw this as them becoming more comfortable with you. They saw it as an opportunity to war for your physical affection.
Every shift that happened, caused the cuddling to become more intimate. Hisoka would run his nails along your neck and scalp. Illumi traced random patterns in your palm.
Suddenly the nails left your head and he said from behind you. “If you’ll excuse me for a moment.” He went in a direction of the apartment you hadn’t been to yet.
Sitting up a bit more, noticing the displeased grunt from the man in top of you. “Do you want us to pause it?”
Smiling at your concern, he shook his head. “No, we’ve seen this before.”
Settling back down, your eyes went back to the screen. This meant you didn’t see the warning look that he sent the man lounging on you. Not one to step down from a challenge, he circled both arms around your waist. Scoffing, Hisoka continued to the bathroom.
Now that he had a few moments alone with you, he was going to take advantage of it. Looking at your face, he couldn't help but admire you. It was like your features were made just to make his heart race.
You glanced at him, to gauge what he thought about the sudden plot twist. Only to discover that he was watching you rather than the screen. “What’s on your mind, Lumi?”
He held back a shiver at the nickname. The first time you called him it, he felt his heart skip a beat. “About how lucky I am to have you in my life.”
You say up full at that statement. “Oh. I feel the same way.“ Pulling him into a hug, you were glowing with happiness. To think, before you started working in the same office as these two you were a wall flower. They really helped you blossom.
As the two of you pulled apart, he thought this would be the perfect time to confess. He leaned forward and captured your lips with his own.
You settled into the kiss and laided a hand on his chest. Until you regain your wits and pushed him back. “What are you doing?”
Then a voice came from across the room. “He’s being an impudent little brat is what.” He casually strode back to the couch. “I can’t believe the second I leave the room, you pounce on them. That's something I would do.” He smirk down at the two if you.
Illumi gave him a raised eyebrow and said. “I was just seizing an opportunity. As you stated you would have done the same.”
You scrambled off the couch and took a step back. Looking between the duo confused. “What is going on here? Shouldn't you be pissed?” Gesturing to Hisoka, you stood there befuddled at his reaction.
Brows knitting together, he frowned in bewilderment. “Why would I be? It was only a kiss, I should still have a chance at courting you.”
Running your fingers through your hair, you shook your head. “Wait I don't understand. Your not upset that you just caught your partner cheating? “
What happened next built onto the oddity of the situation. Both men started laughing. Hisoka gave a belly shaking cackle and Illumi quietly chortled.
The red head was the first to compose himself. Taking a deep breathe, he held a hand to his chest. “Darling, were best friends and roommates only. Sure we’ve tried dating in the past, but it always felt as if something was missing.”
Illumi nodded. “When we met you, we became enamored. Most people wrote us off as odd, but you welcomed us with open arms.” Glancing between you and his friend, he said. “We realized that we both wanted to be with you romantically. So we competed for your attention.”
As you stared at the pair of men, you couldn't help but feel a pit in your stomach. “I like you both, a lot. I didn't know it until now, but I think i’ve subconsciously been harboring feelings for each of you. I just didn't want to come between you. Even now knowing that you aren’t dating. It still seems like i’m straining your relationship.”
Both men stepped forward and without a word to each other, they embrace you.
“Darling, you could never be a bad thing for us.” Giving a look to the other man over your shoulder, he took a step back. Seeing that his roommate had yet to let you go. He knew this would be a good suggestion. “Why don’t we try a relationship together?“ He saw you go to protest and held up a finger. “Not you and I only, the three of us.”
Illumi perked up at the statement. “Yes, I would find that most favorable.” Then he looked up at you with a puppy like expression.
Looking between the two, you realized just how much you liked them. Grabbing Hisoka's arm, you brought him back into the hug. “I guess I wouldn't be against that.”
Hearing an explosion from the TV, you noticed that the movie was still playing. Dropping on the couch, you pulled the pair on top of you. They immediately wrapped themselves around you and settled in.
The noise of the movie and all of your breathing filled the room. Until the dark haired male decided to gloat. “I kissed them first.”
Smirking over at him, Hisoka said. “There are a lot of first to come.”
Tapping both of their arms, you felt your face flush. “Hush, both of you.” Wiggling further into the cuddle pile.
All of you thinking of what this blossoming relationship could become.
i think that while micro labels can seem useful and affirming ultimately they're isolating and kind of an obstacle to your understanding of self. that's because you can never find a word specific enough. there will never be a label or two labels or even ten, twenty of them to perfectly capture and describe all of your thoughts, feelings, experiences, preferences, needs, interests, identities, etc. because you learn more and more about yourself every day and then you change and your wants and needs change with you. having to hop between labels, fearing that you don't 'fit' into a label anymore (both in your own and others eyes), worrying how soon your current label will wear out, questioning if you'll ever fully fit a single one. all that causes a lot of uncertainty and anxiety which could be avoided by just picking a more general thing and molding it according to what it means to YOU. because words will always mean different things to different people, you will never be understood immediately and maybe never completely by anyone but yourself and that's fine
#another thing is that micro labels often feel like they fracture the community unnecessarily#idk how many times i've seen fighting over hyperspecific ace labels and what they mean and if people described in them even belong#and honestly i think this discourse wouldn't be so vile and neverending if people accepted the idea of falling under general umbrella#and accepted that you can't describe complicated weird and wonderful act of human existence with a couple of words#you don't need to explain yourself to anyone#i know in our present pronouns/sexuality/gender in bio carrd era it feels like you have to but you really don't#people aren't entitled to a short summary of your inner world and you can't speed run connection#also feel the need to say: i have nothing against people who use micro labels#if you feel like your micro label describes you perfectly? i'm really glad and happy for you#i'm just expressing my own thoughts and feelings that come from personal experience with exploring these things#at some point i started doubting if i could call myself a lesbian#i thought oh i'm not exactly what a lot of people generally think of when they hear that word#oh they'll misunderstand and i'm not being my 'true self' i'll find a word that fits me exactly if i just keep looking#and then i found out being aroace is a thing and boy did that add a lot of anxiety and confusion to the pot#i didn't feel like i fit in with both communities wasn't lesbian enough wasn't aroace enough#but at some point i just got tired of trying to justify myself to others and to myself#identities aren't houses you live in they're more like seas or rivers flowing into one another#and spaces where they intersect are vague and hard to define and they shift and change and this metaphor is getting away from me#basically#words are complicated#but they're the only direct way we humans can communicate#it is what it is#so make art#a lot of it#oh also unrelated but if you ever tell older queer folks that they're using wrong words to describe themselves i am going to jump you
btw my interpretation is that the doctor meant “who i am now” to mean someone who outwardly expresses when they find someone attractive and donna interpreted “who i am now” to mean gay
“C-can you repeat that for me, [Name]?” Ayaka stutters, her hands trembling. She tries to keep the smile on her face, but it doesn’t hide her uneasiness. She could not believe what she had just heard. You sigh at the youngest Kamisato, not wanting to repeat the words you just said. However, she is your dear friend– and future sister-in-law– so you’ll repeat for her.
Ayaka starts drinking her tea, waiting for you to speak. You look down at the teacup wrapped around your hand, “I think Ayato is having an affai–” “PFFFTT–”
You immediately look up to see the youngest Kamisato choking on her drink. Your eyes widen as you stand up, walking towards Ayaka who is sitting in front of you. “Ayaka, are you okay?!” You ask worriedly, handing out your handkerchief to her.
She grabs your handkerchief and starts to wipe her mouth– her face beat red from embarrassment. “I apologize for… erm, that,” She replies nervously. You observe her closely, her face still red, and her gaze doesn’t meet yours.
“Are you hiding something from me?” you frown. Ayaka immediately turns to face you, her eyes wide. “No, Of course not!” She denies, placing her hand on her chest, “I have nothing to hide from you.”
You sigh as you run your fingers through your hair, sitting beside the youngest Kamisato. You look at her intensely, making Ayaka gulp slightly under your gaze– you’re serious, terrifyingly serious. The atmosphere in the drawing room tenses, “I think Ayato is having an affair,” you continue, “Do you know anything? Ayaka?” You question her, eyebrows furrowing as you look at her firmly.
“I know nothing,” Ayaka replies unyieldingly, “if I did know anything, I would tell you immediately, [Name], I swear.” You and Ayaka stare intensely at each other, your gazes not wavering. Ayaka is nervous under your stare yet holds her ground. You then look away– breaking eye contact–, and the atmosphere around you softens, opting to believe the youngest Kamisato. Ayaka sighs in relief, knowing that you believe her.
You start to calm down, your seriousness disappearing but not your suspicion. “[Name], may I ask, when did you start suspecting my brother?” Ayaka asks, you look at her determined expression. You give her a small smile– despite being his younger sister, she looks as if she’s willing to choose you over him.
“Alright, I’ll tell you,”
Your suspicion started a week ago at Lady Hiiragi’s tea party. After the abolishment of the Vision hunt decree, Chisato Hiirago took over as the head of her clan. To celebrate, she hosted a tea party in her estate located in Ritou. As the fiance of the Yashiro Commissioner and her friend, you were undeniably invited to the tea party alongside your Fiance.
On the day of the tea party, everything was going well until your Fiance excused himself– leaving the room. You didn’t mind, because you know very well that he dislikes gatherings. But after a while, he still hasn’t come back. Worried, you excused yourself from the tea party and started looking for your Fiance.
As you were looking for him, you saw him talking with Lady Hayashi, an unmarried woman, who specializes in clothing. Out of instinct, you hide behind a nearby tree as you listen intently to their conversation. At first, it started casually, only exchanging pleasantries, until it changed. Your eyes narrowed as you continued to listen intently.
“My lord, about that... Ehem, special request, it has been going smoothly.” Hiyashi smiles, “You can come over tomorrow.”
You freeze on the spot. ‘Special request? Come over? What is going on?’ you thought. You bite down your lower lip as your heart thumps out of your chest. You try to conceal your presence with the use of your vision, hoping none of the two would notice your presence.
“I’ll be there,” Ayato replied– your heart sank. You place your hand over your chest as it continues to beat loudly. You watch as they bid each other goodbye, going their separate ways. You don’t know why you're feeling like this– horrible and unfamiliar.
You walked back to the venue, feeling odd. You didn’t understand why it felt like everything came crashing down. The night went on, as usual, hoping that no one would notice your dampened mood behind the smile. As the night comes to an end, you are convinced that no one saw through your facade– after all, no one came to ask about your well-being. But you were unaware of the lilac-colored eyes looking at you in concern the entire night.
As the only descendant of one of the most prestigious clans in all of Inazuma, you were immediately engaged to Kamisato Ayato at birth, and it did not bother you at all. Out of the other noble candidates, you were undeniably closest to the eldest Kamisato, so you were glad that it was Ayato.
From then on, you and Ayato spent each other’s childhood together. He was there at every significant event in your and vice versa. From winning your first sparring competition to you crying over a book Guuji Yae gave to you– Ayato was there all the time. And the more time you spent with him by your side, you slowly developed feelings for him– however, it took you a while to admit your feelings.
After all, it is a form of weakness.
But you couldn’t help it– Kamisato Ayato is so easy to love. From his smile, ambition, flaws, and sense of fashion to his love of Boba, you fell in love with everything. So when you overheard that conversation, you were devastated.
“So basically, you overheard my brother talking with Lady Hiyashi about a special request?” Ayaka asks, seeking confirmation. You nod as a reply.
“Maybe he just ordered some garments– hence he sought Lady Hiyashi,” Ayaka assumes, trying to ease out your ambitious suspicion. When you told Ayaka your suspicion, she could not believe it. After all, Kamisato Ayato is madly in love with you since he first laid his eyes on you! So having an affair is more unlikely than Diluc Ragnvindr reconciling with his brother! Not only that, Lady Hiyashi is lesbian, so there is no way she would have an affair with her brother.
As much as she wants to tell you, she decides to stay quiet about it. (not because she finds this amusing of course).
“That’s what I first thought,” You announce, staring at your hand as you fidget your fingers, “but I have checked the ledgers, and there was no documented transaction between Lady Hiyashi and Ayato,” “I ‘asked’ around and for the past couple of weeks, Ayato has been meeting Lady Hiyashi.”
Ayaka continues to smile, despite knowing that you did not just ask around. Knowing you, you most likely ordered the elite ninjas in your family to get information between Ayato and Lady Hiyashi no matter what.
Hearing footsteps approaching the room, Ayaka decided to graciously help her dear brother. Noticing a silhouette standing behind the Shoji, she decides to take this opportunity. Ayaka asks her distressed friend, “Are you perhaps in love with my brother, [Name]?”
You freeze, blood rushing to your face as your cheeks shade red– heating it in the process. Your pupils shaking profusely and your ears reddening. You cover the lower half of your face with your hand, trying to avert your gaze from Ayaka, who is grinning at you. Ayaka glanced at the figure behind the shoji, then glanced back at you.
“It’s just that,” Ayaka says, resting her face on her hand– tilting it– “Since you and my brother are in an arranged marriage I suspect that you wouldn’t care if he has a secret lover,” Your shoulder tenses up. “But seeing you distressed, I assume you care deeply for my brother more than a friend, isn’t that right?”
You press your lips tightly, hesitant to answer Ayaka’s question. As mentioned, it took you ages to admit your love for Ayato, so admitting it out loud is further admitting that you love him.
While you lost in your own thoughts, Ayaka once again glanced at the silhouette behind the shoji. Kamisato Ayato has always been a terrible hider. During her childhood, her brother would always play seeker because, in his words, he would rather play hunter than be hunted.
“Yes…” You whisper, making only Ayaka hear. Ayaka smirks teasingly, “I’m sorry [Name] but I can’t hear you”
You pout at the young Kamisato, who is looking at you with a teasing grin. You sigh then you speak, “Yes”, this time saying it much loudly.
“Yes to what??” Ayaka smirks, your face turning redder than a ripe tomato. How annoying you playfully thought. You just want to wipe that grin off her face. You take a deep breath as Ayaka looks at you expectantly.
“I love Kamisato Ayato!” You yell, Ayaka’s eyes widening at the volume of your voice. Her gaze goes back to back from your flustered face to the silhouette behind the shoji. She wasn’t expecting you to yell– but you did!
 “From his smile to his annoying attitude, I love it!” You look at Ayaka with hearts in your eyes. “[Name] are you alright-“
“The way he firmly commands his subordinates with an iron fist but then treats them well regardless of status,” You add, “I love it all!”
You have never told anyone of your undying love for the commissioner because you believe it to be a show of weakness. So you buried it deep within your heart for months, never expressing your love.
It was painful not to express your love for Ayato. But you endured— well, not until now.
You continue to sing of your love for Ayato, almost forgetting the fact you were distressed because of him.
Ayaka just sits there and listens as you ramble about her brother, slowly regretting her choices. Ayaka turns to look at the shoji, she could just tell that the person behind the shoji is blushing so hard. Oh, how badly she just wants to see it.
Then, an idea popped inside her head, and she smirks. “[Name], excuse me” Ayaka smiles at you as she stands up, you look at her curiously. “Are you going somewhere?” you ask her, who is now walking towards the door, slightly tilting your head to your side.
You look at the shoji where Ayaka is walking, your eyes widen as you see a silhouette— a silhouette you are familiar with.
“Brother, it isn’t nice to eavesdrop on conversations, you know?” Ayaka sarcastically jokes, sliding the shoji door– revealing your flustered Fiance holding a wrapped present. You cover your mouth as you blush profusely, slowly realizing what has just occurred.
Ayaka grins at the sight of two love-sick idiots. “I’ll leave you two here. I need to ask Thoma to bring in more Dango!” Ayaka nonchalantly says as she leaves the room, leaving both of you here.
“Hey,” Ayato nervously greets you, shutting the door behind him and then walking towards you. You look down, not wanting to face him after your outburst. “Don’t look down,” he whispers as he continues to walk toward you. You tense up at the tone of his voice– firm. You continue to look down, his shadow swallowing your figure.
Your eyes widen as he holds onto your chin, slowly tilting it up, making you face your Fiance. You gasp at the sight; Ayato looks down at you with a grin on his face– his cheeks still red.
“Didn’t you say you like my eyes?” He teases, slowly leaning forward– making you tense up, “So don’t look away.” Your cheeks heat up as you both get lost in each other’s eyes. You’re mesmerized, not wanting to look away from his eyes. Though he has an arrogant expression, his gaze is so soft, gentle, and full of love, making your heart skip a beat.
The more you two get mesmerized in each other’s eyes, the more Ayato loses his cool. Kamisato has always been a great actor, knowing how to conceal his emotions when needed, he just can’t do it in front of you. Slowly, Ayato’s facade starts to crumble apart as his cheeks heat up, making him blush hard– again. His smug smirk turns into a soft smile. You continue to stare at him in daze as he removes his hold onto your chin and then sits down next to you.
“I’m sorry,” He apologizes, “It appears that I can’t stay calm around you.”
“Did you hear everything?” You ask as you both maintain eye contact. Ayato reddens, “Yes,”
“As in, everything?”
“Do you want me to repeat everything you said?”
“No!” You immediately refute, your eyes wide. Silence befalls you two until you both burst out laughing. You both smile at each other after your laughing fit. Then Ayato grabs your hand, intertwining it with his– making you blush, even more, you didn’t even think it was possible to blush this hard. “I got you something,” Ayato says, grabbing the wrapped present with his other hand.
“This is?” You look at the beautifully wrapped present. You swore you’d seen this wrapping from somewhere. “Open it,” Ayato suggests; you look up at him and then back to the present. You let go of Ayato’s hand as you grab the present and then unwrapping it.
“A box?” You mutter to yourself. With both of your hands, you lift the box, eyes widening as you look at the present– it’s a kimono. “This is!” You remove the kimono from the box as you admire the design.
“It’s beautiful,” You praise, your excited eyes not leaving the blue-colored kimono. “I designed it, just for you,” He grins. Upon hearing his remark, your excited eyes turn to look at him, startling him. “It’s gorgeous!!” you exclaim.
As you continue admiring the Kimono; you notice how the color matches Ayato’s clothes, the golden embroideries, and the lily pattern. “It is beautiful,” You say, turning your head to face him “so beautiful,” you smile widely at him. Ayato’s eyes widen at the sight, his heart skipping a beat as he continues to admire your smile– he’s captivated. Compared to his design, your smile is much more beautiful.
He smiles back at you, “it took me weeks to design this,” he says as he holds onto the silk of the Kimono, “And then I had to request Lady Hiyashi to bring the design to life.” You tense up, your excitement slowly disappearing at the mention of her name. You then recall the reason why you are in the Kamisato estate in the first place. Ayato notices your sudden change in mood, and concerned, he speaks “[Name] are you alright-”
“What is your relationship with Lady Hiyashi?” You interrupt him as your expression darkens. His eyes widened at the question, “Excuse me?”
“A few days ago I saw you and Lady Hiyashi talking about a special request and–”
“[Name], are you assuming that I and Lady Hiyashi are having an affair?” Ayato interrupts, and you nod in response. The next moment, Ayato’s laughter fills the room. Your face flushed in embarrassment as you stare at the eldest Kamisato in disbelief– is he mocking you?!
“Are you mocking me, Kamisato Ayato?” You snap, eyes narrowing, as Ayato starts to wipe his tears of laughter.
“Dear,” He says in between his laughter, “Lady Hiyashi is lesbian and is in a 5-year relationship with her childhood sweetheart.”
Your eyes widen at the newly founded information. You immediately turn to look away from Ayato from embarrassment as he continues to laugh at your remark. “Though,” Ayato grins teasingly, “To think that you love me to the point you’d get jealous, I’m honored.”
You refuse to meet his eyes– dying from embarrassment– just a while ago you were suspecting that he might be in an affair. You internally cursed at yourself for jumping to conclusions, you even told Ayaka for Archon’s sake! “If I tell you about me, will you finally look at me in the eyes?” He whispers, your ears perk up in curiosity– something about Ayato?
“Maybe,” You mutter in reply, Ayato smiles.
“Did you know I’ve been madly in love with you since childhood?” Your eyes widen, “You were always so unique as a child, so clever yet you always listen to your heart than mind,” He grins, “Just like now.”
Ever since Ayato was a child, he gave away his heart to you like he was just passing toys, regardless of the advice of his peers. ‘As the heir to the Kamisato clan, you must never give your heart away so easily’ they would say, ‘it is a form of weakness. He would always take the wise words of his peers seriously– after all, knowledge is important. Yet he easily threw it all away when it comes to you. He easily gave you his world, despite knowing you could break it all in a heartbeat.
He knows how closed your heart is, after all, you too received the same advice. The only difference between you and Ayato is that you took it to heart.
“I’m sorry,” You whisper softly, still refusing to meet his eyes in shame. Ayato looks at you almost as if his world is about to crumble apart. “I only started developing feelings for you 6 months ago,” You add.
Ayato’s jaw drops at your comment, and then you both hear an outburst of laughter coming behind the shoji door. You and Ayato turn to the door as it slides open, revealing Ayaka laughing her heart out, and Thoma trying to suppress his laughter while holding a plate of Dango.
BONUS: [Name]: So why have you been meeting with Lady Hiyashi? Ayato (held at gunpoint): It’s because we need to talk about the designs [Name]: Why secretly? Ayato: I wanted to surprise you, hence the unrecorded ledgers [Name]: Why special request then? Ayato: it’s because i’m the yashiro commissioner which is why every request i make is special??????
