Like Zoro would love pulling his bangs up.

The hand that was cupping the cook's jaw had now trailed to his cheeks, caressing them softly as Sanji leaned to the touch. Zoro's other hand that was wrapped on Sanji's waist tightened its grip. He wanted to pull him closer.

But before he could he had another mission. He dipped his hands under the cook's bangs and pushed them up. Sanji immediately turned beet red at the action.

Zoro couldn't help but grin. He still gets embarrassed when I do that. He thought. He knows how shy Sanji would get without his bangs but he couldn't help it. It was too cute.

Sanji tried to slap Zoro's hands away but he didn't budge. He laughed while Sanji let out an indignant huff. Zoro couldn't help it, his heart was so full he leaned and rubbed their noses together. The action was so warm and tickling that Sanji couldn't help but laugh too.

“I don't get why you're so obsessed with lifting my bangs up.”

Yes!!! Zoro seems like an all or nothing kind of guy. Like if he realizes his feelings he'd confess immediately (even on the spot) to get the complicated stuff over with. He'd be like "Cook, I like you. You don't have to respond immediately or like me back. I just wanna say it if I ever make you uncomfortable just tell me" And he'd walk away like their conversation was just about the weather and Sanji was left confused and jumbled mess of emotions.

And even though Sanji fell first he'd definitely in deep denial. Probably only acknowledged his feelings after Zoro's confession.

He'd be even in denial of Zoro's feelings or just straight up ignore them while questioning himself. Because even then he actually notices. (Of course he does his the love-cook) He knows how he feels for Zoro. He notices Zoro's lingering touches and longing gaze meant. But he just brushes them off. He just can't fathom of loving and being loved in that way, especially from Zoro of all people.

He'd always try to test the waters with Zoro. See how far and serious these feelings are or are they just fleeting fancy. Zoro would be offended of course but he just let's Sanji do what he does. He knows this is just how Sanji come to terms with stuff. He just needs to be patient. But Sanji doing these also gives Zoro a chance to be more closer to Sanji and they start opening up to each other more.

Sanji will realized that he's fucked because goddamn it he's in love with Zoro not just a simple crush. And Zoro finds Sanji's emotional rollercoaster and his antics throughout the whole thing adorable.

As much as I love “Zoro fell first” hc’s I feel like “Sanji fell first Zoro fell harder” tickles me more because hear me out: Sanji’s emotional intelligence would allow him to spot Zoro’s crush on him a mile away but this man understands everyone’s emotions but his own! He would slowly develop feelings for Zoro under layers of denial, self hate, internalised homophobia and insecurity, and he’d (unconsciously) show these feelings for Zoro through how he and Zeff had been interacting, AKA very emotionally repressed “insults as affection” “begrudging acts of service” Asian immigrant dad type love. What’s worse is he’d already accepted the fact that him and Zoro would never be a thing, both on his end (MEN?? In love???) and regarding Zoro’s reciprocity (he’d never love ME). With Zoro being a blockhead he’d never pick up on Sanji’s thoughts =/= words =/= actions type love.

Zoro on the other hand is someone who once realises what he wants, would 100% pursue it hell be damned, so pining insecure Zoro doesn’t feel that probable. At the most he’d be scared that a rift between him and Sanji would harm the crew, but this would be quickly solved by him consulting Luffy and getting the green light. Anyways I think SOMETHING has to happen for Zoro to suddenly see Sanji in a different light, then his respect-bordering-on-crush feelings for Sanji just whack him in the head like a brick, and he never goes back. Something like Sanji sacrificing himself for Zoro or a similar traumatising incident that makes him go “shit, I gotta marry the cook.” And rest assured Zoro would confront Sanji about it because he doesn’t need anyone’s permission to like Sanji and he doesn’t care what Sanji thinks about it, if he’s grossed out by it then he can fight him like a man!!

When Zoro finds out Sanji's an omega he thinks for a minute straight and goes like. Yeah no that makes more sense. Sanji's like, sorta an omega stereotype, but in the opposite direction, which means he's absolutely Feral, he'll bite you to show you he likes you, he shows his appreciation by giving you more work, he'll growl at you if even dare to think about going near the galley when he's making food, like people think alphas are protective over what they think it's their territories, but they've never seen an omega, with an alpha you'll leave bloody and beaten up, but with an omega? Zoro finally puts two and two together and realizes like Oh Fuck I Should've Been Dead By Now (cause he totally goes in the galley on purpose just to rile Sanji up) and Sanji's like Well, you're like my mate but whatever if you get in here again I'll fucking castrate you.

YESSSS 😭 Feral Dom Omega Sanji 🤌🏻 like I love and also understand internalized omegaphobia Sanji. But for me Sanji would be proud being an omega. He loves omegas and women. Like he's dotes and empathic to omega. He'd rather be omega than alpha. And he's annoyed with alphas and their superiority complex. Because of this Zoro gets confused and thinks Sanji's a typical alpha who hates other alphas but is obsessed with omegas.

But since Sanji grew up around alphas (germa & Baratie) he adapted the stereotypical alpha traits. And he's also in tune with his omega and doesn't shy them away. That's why he's very feral and aggressive in expressing himself.
