RE: that crack reblog about a story arc where Laura finds herself pregnant. It actually WOULD be interesting, but anyway, I truly have always thought that the best endpoint for Laura as a character was for her to not be a hero and find a life outside of that. Not necessarily with a kid mind you, but just in general
The crack shit I have gotten has actually been pretty hilarious lately 🤣🤣 🤣
I think Laura should have been a morally “gray” character and Marvel’s mistake was trying to get her to fit within the “hero” mold; in many ways Laura was one of the few female characters I can think of that had this kind of Byronic darkness to her- similar to Constantine, Vertigo’s Lucifer, Daredevil (depending on the book), ect…
Much like Logan; who was DESTROYED as a character by overuse, OVER-EXPLAINING his origin (Why was Romulus even a thing?! The Weapon X backstory was fine!) and overpowering …(Claremont’s/Frank Miller’s, and even Larry Hama’s Logan was WAY more fun because he’s healing factor had more of a realistic limit!), Laura has been (in my opinion) kind of made harder to use because Liu/Taylor/Bendis/Hopeless white-washed her.
Writers jumped the gun and went WAY TOO fast in removing all of the drama Craig Kyle had consistently set up; leaving Laura harder to write. At the very LEAST they should have created/established more villains for her before killing off Kimura, for example.
Now you’re just kind of left with a character that doesn’t have much you can do WITH (which is why the romance stories with her have probably gone up, truthfully). Laura’s life is pretty conflict free- she has a sister, a sisterly dynamic with Daken, repaired her relationship with Logan, gotten Debbie/Megan back, killed Kimura, is no longer affected by the trigger scent, and seemingly doesn’t struggle with ptsd/depression/trauma anymore. Even Sutter’s kid isn’t really a story option anymore.
Laura basically reached her endpoint- she is no longer a “Samurai sword” but a real person, with real relationships. She doesn’t really have much else to accomplish, except maybe a romantic relationship…which so far, hasn’t really attracted readers anyway.
Tamaki’s only option during her run was to basically crank out “new, exciting clone options” for Laura…which got BORING fast! (I thought T.U.O.C.S. was just kind of pointless and dumb honestly…)
Maybe Laura having a kid would be interesting…since Laura NEVER even had a childhood…but I doubt it would be explored; Taylor didn’t seem all that interested in exploring it when he wrote Gabby. Laura was just naturally a perfect sister, who always knew what to say and do.
Plus it would PROBABLY mean another overpowered Wolverine character….
So yeah; I just don’t think there’s much else writers can DO for Laura anymore…I just don’t see Laura having a child “adding” anything to her character.

Lilian Adamson Inspiration; Patron Saint Metals 2/?
Although Lilian has a complicated relationship with faith and the Church, she still carries four prayer metals on her person in the form of a necklace. Often metals like this are used to remind individuals of prayers, and to lend the protection of the saints - but in of themselves are not magic items and do not particularly help Lil with exorcisms. It is often hidden under her clothes, but she has a habit of touching them when she’s about to do something dangerous. Each metal was given to her by someone special, and each has significance under the cut.

Image one: Saint Christopher, Patron Saint of Travelers
The first image depicts Saint Christopher and was the most recent one given to Lil passed to her by her friend Father Jamie O’Hare when her parents died. He is often associated with safe travels and is given often as metals and other small tokens to people for protection. His most famous story is taking a child across a river and struggled only to realize at the end that he was carrying Christ. On the back there is an excerpt of Saint Christopher’s prayer. Out of the four, this one has the least amount of wear and is the only one to be blessed by a priest to Lil’s knowledge. The metal is made out of plated silver.
Dear Saint Christopher, protect me today in all my travels along the road’s way. Give your warning sign if danger is near so that I may stop while the path is clear. Be at my window and direct me through when the vision blurs
From out of the blue. Carry me safely to my destined place, like you carried Christ in your close embrace. Amen.
Image two; Saint Michael the Arch Angel; The Chief opponent of Satan
The first metal Lil got it is warn from her use, and depicts an excerpt of Saint Michaels Prayer on the back. It was given to her by her father, Charlie Adamson when she began learning about exorcisms. Although the Archangel is depicted in many stories, and referenced in the bible, one of the most well known stories in Catholicism is his smiting of Lucifer and the depiction of him coming at the end of days to fight against the Anti Christ. However, most notably to Lil, he is one of the archangels that comes to the dead the hour before they depart and he is often associated with the protection the recently departed. The metal is made out of silver.
Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil; May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; And do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the power of God, thrust into hell Satan and all evil spirits who wander through the world for the ruin of souls. Amen
Image Three; The Blessed Virgin Mary; Mother of God
The second metal Lil got, she was presented it by her Aunt June when she learned Lil was starting her exorcism training. On the back of the metal there is the words ‘pray for us’ in-scripted on the back. Mary is considered the patron saint of all humanity, and often is associated with the protection of a mother. Lil has taken great care to not allow the metal to tarnish, and out of habit Lil is most likely to whisper to herself Hail Mary when frightened. The metal seems to be made out of silver, but Lil isn’t quite sure.
Hail, Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
Image Four; Saint Jude Thaddaeus; Patron Saint of Desperate Cases and Lost Causes
Passed down to Lil from her Mother, Luna Adamson, it was originally her mother’s, Laura Walker’s, metal. Given Lil’s status as the eldest girl, Luna gave the metal to her daughter when she turned 18. As such, it is the oldest metal on Lil’s necklace and is rather warn. Saint Jude, one of the 12 apostles of Christ, is one of the lesser known apostles. It has been said that Jude, who was often confused for Judas, causing him to be considered the ‘lost apostle’ and in turn is now invoke for those who feel lost and desperate. Jude is often asked to assist in causes that are hopeless and is depicted with an image of Jesus and a circle of fire representing the holy spirit. Unlike the others, there is nothing on the back of this metal that Lil can interpret, although there was likely a bit of a Saint Judes prayer there at some point. Lil believes it to be made out of copper.
Most holy Apostle, St. Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, I place myself into your hands at this difficult time. Help me to know that I am not alone. Please pray for me, asking God to send me comfort for my sorrows, bravery for my fears, and healing for my suffering. Ask our loving God to strengthen my faith and give me the courage to accept His Will for my life. Thank you, St. Jude, for the hope you offer to all who believe in you. Amen.

🗺Does Anybody Have A Map?🗺 Obey Me Drabble
Heyyy, sooooo, I'm doing another one of these LMAO. This is completely based off of the song "Does Anybody Have A Map" by Rachel Bay Jones and Jennifer Laura Thompson from Dear Evan Hansen (The Musical). I previously did a Levi x GN!Reader one-shot where it was based on Only Us from the same musical! Check it out here!
This might not be correct timeline-wise with canon, but I'm having this based where the brothers are more recently fallen, Satan is still fairly new, Lucifer and Diavolo don't really know each other and Lucifer is mostly uncomfortable with him, and RAD is in the early stages of creation and it is the brothers first day.
I hope you enjoy! I do somewhat enjoy this, it's different than what I usually write but this was all I could think about when hearing this song haha.

“Have you been writing those letters to yourself? ‘Dear Lucifer, this is gonna be a good day, and here's why,’”
“I started one,”
“Those letters are important, Lucifer! They’re going to help you get used to the Devildom!”
“I guess,”
It was a bit of a struggle for fallen angels to get used to being demons. Especially when they can’t help but have some distaste for the place they were taught to hate, but now live at. Diavolo was sure he could get them to be accustomed to it. He was going to help them enjoy their time here! Especially when they had someone new with them.
“Can we try to have an optimistic outlook? Can we buck up just to see that the world won’t fall apart? Maybe this year we decide, we’re not giving up before we’ve tried! This year we’ll make a new start!” Diavolo enthusiastically suggested to Lucifer, the newest and strongest demon next to him. “Hey! I know! You can go around and ask your brothers and the other demons to sign the cast of your wings!” He suggested, hoping to get Lucifer out there.
“Perfect,” Lucifer spoke with no emotion and obvious sarcasm in his tone.
Diavolo obviously didn’t catch on for his response was, “I’m proud of you already!” With a great wide smile on his face.
“Oh,” Lucifer sighed and began to walk away from Diavolo towards the castle doors. “Good.”
As soon as Lucifer had finally left the castle, Diavolo let out a large breath that he had kept in the entire interaction. These 7 new demons have been around for a short while and now going to get involved in the early stages of the Royal Academy of Diavolo, yet they still seemed to not get along with him, Barbatos, the other demons, or even each other. He had no idea what was going on and how he was going to solve it.
“Barbatos?” Diavolo turned around to face his loyal butler with a look of defeat on his face. “Do you happen to have a map?” He chuckled with sadness.
“What do you mean, my Lord?”
“I don’t know if you can tell, but this is me just pretending to know,” He spoke quietly, almost a whisper, but Barbatos was still able to hear him clearly. “So where’s the map? I need a clue. The scary truth is I’m flying blind, and I’m making this up as I go.”
Diavolo was obviously disappointed, confused, and hurt. He had no idea what to do, and he just wanted the brothers to like him and his home.
Barbatos walked up to Diavolo and gave him a soft pat on the shoulder and shot him a small grin. “You’re doing all you can do, my Lord. And I believe you’re doing the best you can right now,” He spoke honestly, watching hope return to Diavolo’s once gloomed eyes. “Don’t worry. It will work out. I promise you.”

When Lucifer arrived at the House of Lamentation, it seemed to be in shambles already as all of his brothers and fellow fallen angels, with the exception of one, were in a frenzy getting prepared for school.
“Satan, you can’t just skip this!” Asmodeus seemed to be arguing with the newest addition to the family.
“Well, I do believe I can do whatever I want, and I don’t want to go to this,” He growled in response, obviously angry with this whole situation. Well, of course, he was angry. He was the Avatar of Wrath and he had no idea what to do with that sin. “So, I’m not going to go.”
Lucifer sighed at the sight. “It’s all of our first days Satan, you are not missing it.” He crossed his arms, finding the attention of the fourth born.
“I’ll go tomorrow,” He rolled his eyes at his older brother, preparing to turn away and find his way back to his room.
“He doesn’t listen,” Belphegor groaned. “Look at him, he’s probably high.”
“He’s definitely high,” Asmodeus agreed with the seventh born.
“Satan,” The first born shut his eyes and let out a deep sigh. “I don’t want you going to school high.”
“Perfect!” Satan cheered with a cynical smile plastered on his face. “So then I won’t go! Thanks, Lucifer!” And as soon as he finished the sentence, he rushed upstairs to go back and reside in his room.
Lucifer just groaned and smashed his head into his hands unsure of what to do. Another masterful attempt with Satan ended with disaster.
“The roads are already jammed,” Leviathan informed the brothers as he stared down at his D.D.D checking the directions to their new school.
“Beel finished the milk!” Asmodeus complained.
“We better head out,” Mammon spoke up, wanting to get the day over with already.
“If Belphie’s not ready, I’m leaving without him,” Asmodeus grabbed his bag and slung it around his shoulder, rolling his eyes and heading towards the door.
With everything going around Lucifer, being the oldest of the new group of demons that chose to fall with him from the Celestial realm, having to take care of the embodiment of his literal past emotions, while trying to take care of himself and his oath with the future Demon King, Lucifer needed to pour another coffee while he watched it crash and burn in front of him. So far, from the start of this all, each day was another wrong turn.
He wasn’t used to this. He wasn’t used to being a demon, being in charge of his younger brothers, working under someone he was taught to despise. He was flying blind and making up what he did as he went.
He thought he was far from similar to the next-in-line Demon King but little did he know, they both really needed a map, they both really needed a clue, because they were both just pretending to know.

Fresh out of his Otherworld death, Remy’s glad to be alive once more and with his mind intact. With Rogue off the X-Men, the two have moved onto Krakoa and are taking it a day at a time. It’s nice to have a team to keep him busy and a wife by his side. Remy’s not sure if he’s the time who’s ever going to be completely content, but he’s close. You don’t need a lot to be happy, sometimes. Remy’s got his cats, Rogue, something to keep him occupied and the chance to be his Cajun self. That’s all he needs for now.

✗ ANNA-MARIE LEBEAU (616) took a long time to come around, but Remy won her over in the end. She’s been his cherie for years now; the two were always hot and cold torn apart by a number of factors including Rogue’s dangerous mutation. After the honeymoon period, there was a period when she joined the X-Men and didn’t seem to have time for Remy. It caused a little marital strife, but they’ve worked it out. He fought too hard for Rogue to let her go.
✗ LAURA KINNEY (616) came under Gambit’s wing a few years back after he was sent to look after her. That’s really the kicker, though: Laura doesn’t need anyone to look after her. Instead, the two are friends in a sibling like fashion. Remy’s always willing to cheer for her or watch her six. She’s a badass and doesn’t need anyone to tell her otherwise.

✗ THE KNIGHTS OF X → Going to Otherworld was a nice change of pace for a man who was beginning to feel like a stay at home husband. It also got him killed, but he did get resurrected, so it’s water under the bridge. Even though Rogue is around more now, Remy’s still working with the Knights. He needs something to keep him busy and the team has some good energy.

Plot Synopsis:
Sam and Dean make a plan to storm Dick's company building and kill him once and for all, with help from Castiel and Meg. Providing Bobby doesn't get to Dick first.
Features:
Homoerotic business negotiations, Castiel naked and covered in bees, righteous bones, Cas’ honey and farm-to-table sandwiches, copies of Dick, releasing Bobby’s spirit, the Impala’s big entrance, arrival in Purgatory, Sam left alone.
My Thoughts:
This is a fun finale. It’s great to see “original Cas” breaking through the veneer of traumatized Cas now and then, not to mention how many classic Destiel frames and lines are packed into this episode. The scene where they make up when they go to pick up the Impala is so sweet and soft, it really sets up early season 8 well. Not to mention, “I’ll go with you” is Supernatural’s code for “I love you”.
Bobby’s goodbye scene is great, proof that they do know how to write out a fan-favourite character well. I love not actually getting to see him vanish, just watching the effect that it has on Sam and Dean.
Crowley playing both sides is great - he keeps being a really interesting enemy/ally for a while yet, and it’s fun to watch the balancing act.

Sam and Dean face their biggest challenge yet. Rowena makes her move.
Features:
The devil throwing a temper tantrum in Sam’s room, Our Heavenly Father making pancakes for breakfast, God’s apology to Lucifer, getting the team together, Sam almost accepting the Mark, Lucifer being banished from Cas, the beginning of the end.
My Thoughts:
Watching everyone getting the chance to confront God absolutely kicks ass. I truly love digging into the mundane in the divine and exploring not just the power of higher beings but the emotion and damage and trauma that they’ve all experienced. Absolutely wild to have the Winchesters, who have never had a healthy interaction in their life, mediate the two oldest grievances in existence, but it sure does make for good television.
I have to say I don’t remember them ever establishing that Lucifer was the first to have the Mark of Cain so that was quite a surprise. I kept expecting the brothers to react to that revelation and they never did, so I guess we already knew at some point.
Chuck’s eventual apology to Lucifer is, as @meg3point0 said while we were watching, the one that Sam and Dean deserved from John and never got (fuck Lebanon).
Gathering the team is fun in a heist-movie sort of way; I kind of wish that more time had been devoted to that part and that the plan had been a bit more complicated just for the fun of it, but they needed the run time for the emotional confrontations with dad so that’s understandable. It also gave me big DTA vibes - you have to fight at the end of the world.
One of my notes just says, “Get absolutely feral, Amara. Go girl.”

“You have any idea what it’s like to argue with your father when your father is God? Everything is a tautology with you. Everything is, ‘Because I told you so.’ Everything’s, ‘It had to be done.’” “Pretty sure that’s all fathers.”

Sam and Dean only have each other to rely on when they're caught in a dangerous situation; the fight between the American hunters and the British hunters comes to a head.
Features:
Mary hunting the hunters, Dean finally getting a chance to use his grenade launcher, the strength of Mary’s programming, Sam as a leader, parental relationship dynamics, saying all the things you ever dreamed of saying to someone that hurt you, the end of the British Men of Letters in America, family group hugs.
My Thoughts:
Robert Berens, you have my sword.
There’s really nothing about this episode that I don’t love. Starting out with a mini-bottle episode to give the brothers time to talk about their feelings before the finale starts. Dean getting to use his grenade launcher. The dudes from Dark Side of the Moon coming back (Berens does the reading!). Sam getting to have meaningful plot points instead of being sidelined by Dean’s experience.
I LOVE that Jody and Alex are competent enough to have already taken Mary down without the brothers swooping in to rescue them. I love that she checks in on Dean because she can’t turn her mother instinct off, and Dean can’t hide how much he needs it. I love that she ssys goodbye to Alex, her daughter figure, as Dean says goodbye to Sam, his son figure. Also, she’s a great shot and ice-cold under pressure.
The Mary-Dean dream sequence… what is there to say other than that it’s perfect? Both of their fantasies about themselves and about each other come crashing down at the same time. She can’t ever be the perfect pie-making sundress-wearing mother he remembers from when he was four, and he can’t ever return to the innocent, untraumatized child that she left behind. They have to choose to love each other for who they are, not who they imagine each other to be.
This episode rounds out Mary’s season 12 arc in such a beautiful way, pulling it all together into truly one of the more cohesive character progressions of the series.
Plus, killing Ketch is one of my favourite things they’ve ever done. Good riddance.

My Thoughts:
I haven’t re-watched this episode since the first time I saw it probably about a year ago now, and the thing that surprises me the most about it is that what we learn about Apocalypse World is cooler than what they eventually settle on. An eternal war between angels and demons is more active than angels having already won - it also makes the absolute devastation of it make more sense, since it’s not the angelic aesthtic at all for it to be a plain dusty wasteland. Azazel is still alive in this world, especially without the Winchesters to kill him! We could have gone back to the initial trauma of their lives again, matching it with the Mary arc of season 12. Fuck, Mary could have killed Azazel. How’s that for full circle?
Last episode Dean told Sam that they had it made when they had both Mary and Cas, and in this episode they lose them both. That hits hard. Sam dragging Dean back from trying to chase after Cas in the same way Dean pulled Sam from the fire that killed Jess hits even harder.
