So I absolutely love your writing and was wondering if I could suggest Riddle, Leona, Jamil, Azul with an s/o who had horrible scarring and doesn’t talk about it. So naturally the boys would assume it’s a sensitive topic, and treat them delicately… But turns out that those scars are from something stupid like getting into a fight with a raccoon.

GN! Reader

The first time Riddle saw your scars was when you rolled up your sleeves while helping Trey bake for the next Unbirthday party, simply trying to not let your cuffs dip into the sticky batter. Both his and Trey's gazes lasered in on the horrendous scarring up and down both your arms, but neither of them said anything besides sharing a small, worried glance. He wanted to ask you about them but knew this was neither the time nor the place to do so.

Other Heartslabyul members can tell from a glance not to bring them up, lest they risk a swift and merciless collaring by their housewarden. Whenever your arms are revealed Riddle's expression tightens, surveying the room as if he's daring his fellow students to make a comment or ask a question about them.

When he finally musters up the courage to ask about them, reassuring you he finds you beautiful and just wants to know if you're hurting, boy if he doesn't feel a bit silly when he finds out you got them from trying to pick up an opossum when you were a little kid. His cheeks get all puffed out and his face turns red, promptly shutting himself up and turning away as you coo and thank him for being so worried about your well-being. He does enjoy the praise, as flustered as he looks.

Lazing around with Leona in the midday sun of the conservatory, you stretched your arms over your head and accidentally revealed to him a series of long, thin scars that ran over each of your sides, just above your hip. His brow furrowed as your shirt covered them once more, cupping a clawed hand gently over your hip and tugging you close to snuggle up to him.

He's always liked to wrap a hand around your hip to keep you close to him, to stake his "ownership" of you. But now he does it so gently, so lightly it almost tickles as he rubs his thumb back and forth over the soft skin hidden beneath your shirt. You do the same to him sometimes, running your thumb so lovingly over the scar on his face when he rests his head in your lap, the least he can do is offer the same comfort.

You finally mention where you got the scars when Leona comes to visit Ramshackle. As you liken the rickety house to an abandoned building you and your friends explored near your school, mentioning how cut up you got squeezing through one of the shattered doorways, it finally clicks for him. From there the teasing floodgates are opened, and every time he finds you with a little scuff or scrape he asks if you were reigniting your urban exploration fantasies.

After Jamil's overblot, when you rolled up your pant cuffs to splash around in the cool water of the oasis, that's when Azul first saw your scars. Dozens of jagged lines and puncture marks everywhere from your ankles all the way up to your knees. It made his stomach turn a bit, trying to imagine what or who might have inflicted you with those gashes.

He's often hovering around you, making sure you don't get bumped into or lose your balance. If he's not available you'll usually have one or both of the twins observing you from a safe distance, boss's orders. He doesn't want anyone else harming his precious pearl, after all.

When you finally mention that you got all those scars from the wild raspberry bushes around your childhood home, he assumes you're joking with him. He knows what raspberries are, he isn't stupid, but are the bushes really that dangerous? One small hike with Jade later serves to prove that yes, they are, especially if you're a reckless little kid wearing shorts in the summer. He chides you, warning you to not do anything so rash in the future.

Jamil had seen your scar the very first day you had met, along with just about everyone else in school. It wasn't exactly easy to miss; the curved line cutting across your forehead and down into your eyebrow was painfully obvious to anyone who looked at you for more than a few minutes. He didn't think about it much until the two of you actually began interacting on a daily basis.

He watches you a lot, only when he thinks you aren't looking (and often times you aren't). He's not the type to bring it up on his own, it's none of his business after all, but he does worry about you. He's on edge whenever you mention having a headache, even if it has nothing to do with your scar at all.

You mention it offhand one day, the stupid cause of your forehead scar. The man who was re-shingling your house roof when you were a kid knocked a metal bucket off the edge when you were heading out to school, and instead you had to get rushed to the E.R. for stitches. As you proudly regale the story of the ice cream cake and flowers the repairman bought as an apology Jamil breathes a sigh of relief, almost visibly melting into his seat. Now he'll just have to make sure nothing that unlucky happens to you again.

A = Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?)

🐍: Jamil definitely isn’t the most… traditionally affectionate person out there. To people outside of your relationship, it just looks like he treats you the same way he treats everyone else – seemingly always holding you at an arm’s length away. It seems that way because, despite him vehemently denying it, he gets pretty shy whenever you’re around. You always praise him for the smallest things or compliment his appearance or achievements; Jamil is not at all used to being someone’s number one in life, and he isn’t quite sure how to show his appreciation to you when you’re around other people (he’s down bad y’all). He has a reputation to uphold for both his family and the Al-Asims too, you know! So, if you’re in a relationship with Jamil, PDA is extremely uncommon and the farthest he’ll go in public is holding your hand while averting his gaze from your beaming smile.

🐍: Jamil’s preferred love language, for both giving and receiving, is acts of service. His go-to way to show how much he loves you is by helping you lessen the load on your plate since Crowley seems to love dumping things on you; he also loves it whenever you do things for him as well. Jamil is very busy between babysitting looking after Kalim and school, so anything you do to make his day easier is something he greatly appreciates. He’s also quite a fan of spending quality time with you and, despite him denying how much your praise makes his mood soar, he does quite like it whenever you give him words of affirmation. Physical touch is something he enjoys, but only when you’re alone together.

🐍: So, in receiving order, Jamil’s love languages are: acts of service > words of affirmation > quality time > physical touch > gift receiving. His preferred love languages to show his affection for you are: acts of service > quality time > gift giving > words of affirmation > physical touch.

B = Best friend (What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?)

🐍: You and Jamil would definitely grow closer after his Overblot. The two of you kind of realize that you’re both stuck babysitting looking after people who always get themselves into some kind of trouble and somehow end up dragging you into their shenanigans with them (Ace/Deuce/Grim in your case and Kalim in Jamil’s). You both become the tired “mom friends” in your separate relationships and usually go to each other for support if something were to happen to your respective idiots. Jamil respects you greatly and cherishes your friendship as it feels like he can truly be himself around you without the fear of you using anything against him in the future.

C = Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?)

🐍: Despite what he says, Jamil loves cuddling with you. He enjoys the two of you alone in his room, tightly held in one another’s embrace when you both finally have time to relax after your busy days. How he cuddles depends on his mood, however. If he had a bad day, he’d rather you hold him gently in your arms as you run your fingers through his silky locks and just tell him about how your day was to get his mind off of whatever was bothering him (he’ll only tell you what’s wrong if you pester him enough). If he’s feeling a bit more touchy-feely than usual, he likes being able to hold you in his embrace while he runs his fingers up and down the length of your arm, leaving kisses on the top of your head.

D = Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?)

🐍: Jamil wants to settle down eventually but probably not for a while. After you two graduate he wants to be able to travel and see the world before getting married or starting a family (you’re welcome to come with him, of course – he enjoys your company obviously). He’s top-tier when it comes to both cleaning and cooking; his food is absolutely to die for and you always make sure you sincerely thank him and compliment every dish he makes (you’re going to be the death of this man). However, he only enjoys doing these things when they’re on his terms and not someone else’s - he doesn’t really like being told what to do.

E = Ending (If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?)

🐍: I see Jamil as being someone who just… ghosts you when they want to break up. You’re a great person and an amazing friend to him but, sadly, you just didn’t make a good couple. He wouldn’t know how to go about breaking up in a way that wouldn’t ruin your friendship, so he just hopes that by ghosting you that you’d slowly start to lose the feelings you had and break up with him instead. That’s not how feelings work, though, and - by doing this - he does more damage to your relationship and causes you more pain than if he would have just been honest and talked to you directly.

F = Fiancé(e) (How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?)

🐍: Jamil isn’t scared of commitment, he’s actually a very committed boyfriend to you, but he’s not exactly in a huge rush to get married or anything. If you want to get married, you’ll probably have to be the one to propose since it would take Jamil quite some time to pop the question. His face would just burst into the most wonderful shade of red you’ve ever seen the moment you get down on one knee and ask him if he would be yours (don’t worry, he’s smiling behind the hands covering his face – no need to make sure, just take his word for it).

G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)

🐍: Jamil isn’t gentle, per se, but he isn’t harsh either when it comes to emotions. He can be pretty blunt when he needs to be, but he also has the habit of trying not to come off as purposefully rude – he does whatever he can to save face (unless you’re Azul or Kalim lmao) since he doesn’t want to give anyone a reason to target him in one way or another. With you, while he will still call you out for your bullshit, he does it with an air of… compassion. While he denies it whenever someone points out he’s nicer when it comes to you, he knows you’ve somehow wormed your way into his heart. Physically, he’s always very gentle when it comes to you; when he hugs or holds you, he does it as though he’s handling porcelain with touches as delicate as a feather.

H = Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?)

🐍: Jamil likes hugs when you two are alone – emphasis on alone. He tends to get flustered if you suddenly hug him in public and he doesn’t like appearing “soft” in front of his classmates (especially Azul who may use it against him or Kalim who’ll make a big deal and say how happy he is for his best friend). However, if he sees you’ve been having a bad day, Jamil will wrap an arm around your shoulder and pull you into a quick side-hug before saying he’ll see you after class as he tries hiding his blushing face from your view. Jamil very rarely initiates anything, so it’s up to you when it comes to any display of physical affection. However, when he does, it’s usually because he’s had a bad day. He’ll pull you onto his bed and wrap his arms and legs around you tightly, the action similar to a snake with the vice-grip he has you in. So, his hugs are either very quick or you’ll be stuck in his embrace for hours – there’s no in-between.

I = I love you (How fast do they say the L-word?)

🐍: Jamil takes a… longer-than-average time to say out loud that he loves you. He knows he does, but he just can’t say it (I mean, he was emotionally suppressed throughout his entire life and has only recently started getting the chance to work on that after his Overblot). Jamil realizes that he’s never told you out loud that he loves you only after you say that you love him, giving him a chaste kiss on the cheek before going to class. That’s when it finally hits him that he hasn’t been the best boyfriend to you in terms of actually showing his affection. After days of thinking about the interaction and dwelling over it, he stops you one day before going to class to tell you, “I… I love you.” He’s extremely red in the face as he says it and he can’t look you directly in the eye as he fiddles with the hem of his shirt, but the smile on your face and your overjoyed reply of “I love you too, Jamil!” makes his day better.

J = Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they’re jealous?)

🐍: My man doesn’t get jealous very often; he thinks of himself as superior to most people, so why would he ever get jealous seeing you interacting with a bunch of nobodies? If you're with Kalim, however, he starts seeing green. Kalim has unintentionally taken a lot from Jamil, and seeing him get chummy with you of all people – someone that he could finally call his, someone he didn’t have to give up to make Kalim happy – he does get jealous. He knows it’s messed up of him to see you like you’re some kind of possession, but he is a fairly possessive person once he gets close to you; this is especially so if you’re in an exclusive romantic relationship. Jamil would never take out anything on you – he knows it’s not your fault that he feels the way he does… just be aware that he may be a bit clingier towards you afterward (not that you’re complaining about the affection, though).

K = Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?)

🐍: Jamil’s kisses truly depend on the situation and his emotions at the time. Are you in public? If that’s the case, you either don’t get them at all or they’re quick and fleeting since he would probably die if anyone saw him being soft with you. Has he had a bad day or did something happen that made him jealous? His kisses are rough and demanding, almost as if he’s trying to show you he’s better than everyone else or push out the thought of anyone else from your head. Usually, though, his kisses are sweet and soft, overflowing to the brim with his adoration and affection for you – just very gentle and loving.

🐍: He enjoys kissing the top of your head or your forehead but, if he’s in the mood to tease you a little bit, he likes leaving kisses on your neck or jawline. Though in his opinion, nothing beats your lips – they just fit together perfectly with his almost like two puzzle pieces. Jamil likes being kissed on his hands, watching with a red face as you place soft and loving kisses on the many calluses adorning his palms and fingers; he also gets pretty weak at the knees when you push his long hair aside and place an opened-mouth kiss on the back of his neck.

L = Little ones (How are they around children?)

🐍: Jamil isn’t bad with kids, but he isn’t the greatest either. He’s very awkward with other people’s kids and isn’t quite sure how to interact with them, so he usually just stands there while they talk which eventually ends with them leaving him alone (they think he’s boring lmao). With his own children, he’d be a bit more relaxed, but he would come with his own struggles when it comes to being a parent (such as fearing he’ll do something that would negatively impact them in the future). He’d be a very encouraging father, though, and would be sure that his kids never gave up on anything they wanted for someone else.

M = Morning (How are mornings spent with them?)

🐍: Jamil gets up very early – he has a lot of responsibilities after all and likes to get as much done as he can before classes start. He’ll slip out of bed as quietly as a snake through the grass and get ready for the day in complete silence, kissing you on the forehead before starting on his long list of chores. If you somehow get up before him, you probably won’t even be able to slip out of bed without him noticing; Jamil is an extremely light sleeper, so surprising him with something like breakfast in bed is near impossible to achieve.

N = Night (How are nights spent with them?)

🐍: Jamil usually goes to bed fairly late due to everything he has to get done by the end of the day so, when he does get the time to sleep, he’s usually out like a light as soon as his head hits the pillows. Though, in his sleep, Jamil does have a tendency to wrap himself around you and hold you in a vice-like grip; the only way you can escape is if you wake him up which only makes him flustered at the whole situation. He’s never been clingy before in his entire life, so why is he like that with you?

O = Open (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?)

🐍: It takes a very long time – emphasis on very – for Jamil to start opening up to you. You saw his Overblot and everything that happened with Kalim, but you didn’t have the whole picture or know what exactly Jamil had felt throughout his life. He’d start revealing things about himself after you two have been together for at least a couple of years (this would also be the case if you two were close friends instead of lovers – it takes time to get him to open up no matter what kind of relationship you have).

🐍: Jamil just wants to be 100% certain that he can trust you with his entire being without worrying you’ll use the information to blackmail him or ruin his reputation. It would probably take a lot of time for him to open up to you emotionally after befriending him; he isn’t one for showing vulnerability or giving someone information they could use against him. Whenever you give him the kindest smiles and the warmest hugs he’s ever received before is when he finally opened up to you – that was the moment he knew you were the person he wanted to keep in his life for as long as he could.

P = Patience (How easily angered are they?)

🐍: Jamil is a very, very patient person. However, he tends to bottle things up and, when those emotions eventually erupt, it can get pretty ugly (I mean, look at his Overblot–). Despite not outwardly displaying his anger most of the time, he does get annoyed quite easily – especially if he has to deal with certain people (Kalim and Azul primarily). For him to get angry-angry, as in yelling and screaming, you have to really push him to that point.

Q = Quizzes (How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every little detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?)

🐍: He remembers nearly everything about you, even if you don’t think he does. Jamil is nearly almost always busy, so you’d understand completely if he forgot you mentioning a specific piece of clothing you liked while the two of you walked around town together. Color yourself surprised when he not only remembered what you had told him but the fact that he had even bought it for you as a gift. Jamil is very good at remembering things, especially when it involved you in some way.

R = Remember (What is their favorite moment in your relationship?)

🐍: The near-endless praise you would give him during your group practices for the VDC (he remembers oh-so vividly the pouts your first-year idiots have on their faces as they worked 10x harder in the hopes that you would praise them, too). While Jamil knew he was one of the better members recruited, seeing you smile and tell him how amazing he was at dancing and singing was something that affected him more than he’d like to admit. After the whole… winter-break fiasco he caused and how poorly he treated you during that time, Jamil was a bit shocked when you decided to give him another chance. Though, he was… happy you did because you’re probably one of the most - if not the most – important people in his life. It doesn’t matter if your relationship is romantic or not, he truly cherishes you as a person.

S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?)

🐍: Considering your overly trustful nature and lack of magic, Jamil is fairly protective over you – maybe not nearly as overbearing as he is with Kalim, but he would watch over you like a hawk depending on the situation you found yourselves in. His go-to way to protect you is to act as a shield; whether that be to block you from punches or magic, or to even firmly cover your ears to keep you from hearing the harsh words being spewed your way, Jamil doesn’t mind being a shield if it’s for your sake. He has no problem getting physical with another person if your safety or well-being is involved – that’ usually only happens when all other options have been exhausted, though.

🐍: Jamil has never been someone who’s been protected – he was the one usually protecting others, not the other way around. He doesn’t want you to do anything reckless that could end up with you hurt (Jamil’s kind of a hypocrite – he doesn’t mind being a shield for you, but he doesn’t want you to do the same for him). His heart does beat a bit faster whenever you stand up for him when he’s not around, hearing you yell at the students who were talking behind his back from afar (seeing you of all people get angry for his sake does something to him he can’t quite describe).

T = Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?)

🐍: Jamil puts a lot of effort into your dates/anniversaries/etc. despite wanting to appear as though he didn’t (please don’t bring it up – he’s a tsundere, alright?). For dates and anniversaries, he usually likes spending them at home rather than out in public; Jamil doesn’t hate going with you to see movies in the theatre or check out a new restaurant that just opened up – he just prefers staying inside and relaxing is all. He likes being able to make you a fancy homemade dinner before snuggling up together while watching a movie; nothing too flashy, but the taste of his cooking makes up for the lack of extravagance. When it comes to gifts, Jamil makes sure that it either has some kind of emotional significance or is practical in day-to-day usage. He doesn’t buy you things just to buy them for you – he wants you to be able to use it or appreciate the thought he put behind it (certainly nothing like Kalim in this department lmao).

U = Ugly (What would be some bad habits of theirs?)

🐍: Jamil can be a bit… emotionally distant toward you sometimes. While you’re one of the people that he’s able to be honest with and be his blunt self around, there are times when he starts to distance himself from you for whatever reason. There doesn’t even have to be anything specific that you do – it’ll just happen whether school was a trigger or if it was something else. All you need to do is reach out and ask him what’s bothering him. He probably won’t tell you, at least not until he’s able to sort out his own emotions first, but it will at least let him know you were feeling neglected and give him the chance to make sure it didn’t happen again.

V = Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks?)

🐍: Jamil has always tried to make sure he looked the best he possibly (I mean, before he got better at magic, it would take him up to two hours to do his hair lmao); not only does it reflect his family, but also the Al-Asims since he’s the servant of their first-born son. Though, he seemingly became more concerned with his looks when he started developing feelings for you (I mean, he needs to make sure he looks the best he possibly can if he’s going to win your heart). If he has any doubts about his appearance, which doesn’t happen often, those thoughts are quick to go away whenever you tell him how his red eyeliner makes his eyes pop or how beautiful and shiny his hair looks.

W = Whole (Would they feel incomplete without you?)

🐍: When Crowley had broken the news to everyone that he had managed to find you a way back to your original world, he felt his heart drop into his stomach. Of course, he couldn’t have something nice, could he? Why did it feel as though the universe seemed to deny him everything and anything he could have ever wanted? This wasn’t about him, though. On the day you left Twisted Wonderland forever, he made sure he was there to see you off, holding you tightly as tears welled up in his eyes. He vividly remembers you gently caressing his face and wishing him well, telling him how much you loved him and would miss him, before leaving forever. Jamil wouldn’t feel incomplete without you, but there is certainly a hole in his heart where you had made yourself at home. It would take him some time to recover and heal from your departure, but he doesn’t think he’ll ever know if he can open up to anyone the same way he did with you.

X = Xtra (A random headcanon for them.)

🐍: Jamil hates how bland and boring his food looks; it annoys him how often his younger sister brings it up, too. He’s aware his food tastes good – it is something he gets frequent compliments on by whoever tastes his cooking – but he can’t get over how bad he is when it comes to plating and presentation. Jamil has tried working on it but, no matter what he does, it doesn’t seem to make his food look more appetizing – he’s just glad presentation doesn’t affect the taste of the meal.

Y = Yuck (What are some things they wouldn’t like, either in general or in a partner?)

🐍: A demanding partner who orders him around like a servant (or, if you’re living together, one that expects him to do all of the cleaning/cooking). He wants a partner, not another person he has to look and clean up after. He doesn’t mind if each of you has your own responsibilities so long as he doesn’t get the bulk of the work (like, you do the cleaning and he does the cooking – he just wants both of you to have equal responsibilities in your relationship). If you have a disability or illness that could make things harder for you or near impossible, he understands that and would never hold that against you – he just doesn’t want a lazy partner who doesn’t try to help him in any way just because they don’t want to/don’t feel like it.

Z = Zzz (What is a sleep habits of theirs?)

🐍: Jamil has a habit of wrapping his arms and legs around things in is sleep. That usually consists of things like pillows or even a balled-up blanket but, the first night you two slept together (literally slept – get your mind out of the gutter!), you woke up in the middle of the night because you needed to use the bathroom only to find yourself completely trapped in his embrace. When you woke him up, he was red in the face and immediately released you from his grasp. Though, when morning finally came around, he found himself doing it again (poor guy was so embarrassed lmao). If you don’t mind him hugging you at night, that’s great news because it’s a habit he can’t really control! However, if you’d rather Jamil not hold on to you like a lifeline while you sleep, just buy him a nice body pillow instead.

-- !! slowly getting around to writing out the requests i got a few months back !! might take a couple of more weeks or months, but getting there ;-; i'll try to upload the daily drabbles again though being that i'm on a break!

Jamil was most of the time, the only person who would somehow end up seeing the most unflattering side of you. Whether it was by his own volition or not.

You blowing up a beaker to bits and getting caught by the smoke by said mishap? He's the first one to see it. Getting scolded by Trey for nodding off for just a second and getting the stink eye for the rest of the lecture while everyone giggles at you? He's seated right next to you witnessing that whole thing go down. He's seen everything, much to your dismay.

But for Jamil? He finds every single one of those moments utterly adorable - even if it gives him a massive headache seeing you step closer to death each time your own hands or feet and mind betray you.

In the past, Jamil would often try to help you before disaster could fall upon you (and your surroundings classmates), and most of the time he was successful in that. Other times he would get caught up in it himself which would result in you profusely apologizing with tears in your eyes as Jamil just smiles softly at your worry.

Now, however? He's currently seated on his chair in his room, casually watching as your sleeping form somehow manages to wiggle closer and closer to the edge of his bed.

He's well aware of how this will end.

Will he come and help you out before you wake up by literally slamming into the cold marble floor of his room? No, no he won't.

Will he soothe you and reassure you and kiss what you call the "ouchies" away? Yeah he will. But not before watching you completely fall flat on your face.

And just as he's done thinking that, he hears the familiar sound of your body meeting the cold ground, and he's flinching away because: "Yikes, that was a loud one," he comments, chuckling when he sees your groggy form sit up in confusion, rubbing your eyes to wake up faster.

And it takes you looking at the floor, before look into his direction and the bed before the puzzle pieces come together and you're once again groaning in embarassment: "Why are you always there when I don't want you to see me like this?!" you whine, and Jamil lets out a loud laugh as he sits down by your curled form, pinching the pout awy from your face.

"It's cute, that's why," he reasons, and you stare at him with a raised eyebrow: "Wait, you think I'm cute?" you tease, and Jamil just scoffs, continuing to pinch your cheeks much to your own complaints: "Yes, utterly adorable when you make an embarrassment out of yourself in front of your own lover and trying to walk it off like I saw nothing happen."

"... Jamil, you ruined the moment."

lights are out - jamil viper

summary - the lights are out in the scarabia dorms. you were nowhere to be found when the lights went back on, so jamil goes out searching for you.

genre - fluff

notes - this is the third time silver made a cameo in one of my fics, so im writing for him next hehee

you were on your desk reviewing your notes for the upcoming quiz. that was the reason why you came to class early. you didn't study enough yesterday, so this was the only time where you're able to grab all the answers you need for the quiz. your study time was interupted over someone calling your name from afar. "mc!!!"

you glanced outside the door to see who called for you. it turned out to be kalim. he was waving his hand at you. you got up from your desk and went up to him. "hey kalim!" you greet him back. kalim lets out a genuine smile in reaction. "hello there too, mc! sorry if i interupted you while you're in the middle doing something-"

"to which you apparently did." jamil cuts him off which made him surprised. kalim looks back you while awkwardly laughing. "heh, jamil's probably right, mc." you had to assure him that you weren't bothered at all. "oh no kalim, it's fine. i don't mind at all." you told him. "really? if that's so then, what do you say i invite you over to the dorms after school?" he asks if you'd be willing to come over to the scarabia dorms.

"sure! i have nothing else to do after school so i'll definitely go." you nodded as you agreed to come over at the scarabia dorms. kalim then leans into your ear to whisper something. "jamil also wants you to be there too. it's a good thing you agreed to come over." his voice could still be heard by jamil. "i heard that, kalim." he didn't sound so pleased. kalim pulls away then started to laugh. "oh, i must've whispered that so loud!" he says.

"anyways, we'll be heading off now to prepare for class. see you at the dorms, mc!" kalim lets out a wave at you as you did the same while letting out a smile. your happy expression soon then disappeared when jamil started to look at you with a glaring aura. you rolled your eyes back at him and he still looked displeased.

while making their way to class, jamil lets out a sigh. "kalim, must you really insist on inviting mc over?" he asks the boy; who had enough confidence to invite you over to the dorms, unlike the one who was implied to have a 'liking' towards you. "well, why not? you do like them right? this could be your chance to grow a close bond with them!" to his words, jamil didn't felt any encouragement at all. he looks at him with a dedpanned expression and sighs after. "i won't butt in on you both, trust me!" kalim adds. "though, i would be watching you two at a distance-"

jamill had enough of his blabbering, so he decides to cover his mouth. in attempt to make him stop saying another foolish thing. "you must've forgot that we have classes to attend, so enough saying such nonsense things now." kalim didn't know how to respond to jamil so he just goes along with it.

you walked up back to your desk to continue on with your study. but unfortunately, time had passed so fast that the bell started to ring. you had no more time for studying. "oh, screw this." you cursed under your breath. "ehem." you looked at silver as you heard his voice next to you. you had noticed that you were blocking his seat, which was why he called you. you expressed an 'o' shape on your mouth. "ah right. apologies, silver." you hurriedly went back to your supposed spot, then he goes to sit down on his perspective seat. you and silver were seatmates after all.

you began to put the notes inside your bag. "it seems that you haven't finished reviewing." silver notices the paper in your hands. "yeah, i'm sorta cramming right now." you explained to him. "if you were to supposedly cheat, i will have you warned that you would be caught in the act very easily." you let out a chuckle at his sudden strictness side. "what made you think that i'll cheat? i won't do such a thing." you told him.

but after you had responded to silver, he started to doze off to sleep. "oh, silver." you let out a sigh at the sleeping boy beside you. "you don't tolerate me cheating, but it's okay for you to sleep unnoticed?" the irony made you super stressed out. you shook his shoulders in attempt to wake him up. "silver, wake up!" you said in a quiet voice. luckily, he immediately opened his eyes as heard you. "oh my, i must've dozed off to sleep again." he says. you could only let out a sigh to his response. now your other task for today was to be able to make silver awake at all times.

classes had now already ended. this was already the time where you go to the scarabia dorms as you promised to kalim. when you had arrived at the longue, kalim suddenly appeared infront of you in a blink of an eye which had you startled. "mc, you arrived so early!" he tells you. "really, was i that early?" you asked as kalim nods in response. "yeah, jamil probably had something to catch up in his basketball club so he isn't here yet." he explains. "but don't worry, food is now already prepared!"

you looked over at the food which made you gasp in surprise. "wow, now this tastes good! i've been starting to feel hungry too." you told kalim. "feel free to eat up, mc! you need get all that energy too." kalim reminds you. you began to grab a piece of food that was on the table. you took a bite and its taste was delicious as usual. "jamil made this, didn't he?" you asked kalim.

"yeah, do you like it?" you nodded at his question. "i sure do. he's a great cook." you told him. "that's jamil for ya! i'm sure he'd love to hear that from you." your cheeks went red when kalim reminds you about jamil. "does he? i doubt he does." you let out a sarcastic laugh but kalim didn't seem to catch it. "believe me, he will. trust me." he tells you. after you had finished eating, you had just remembered the box of cake you had inside your bag. "how could i be so forgetful?" you shook your head while sighing.

"kalim, i forgot to give you this. don't forget to share that with jamil too!" kalim took the cake box from your hands. "ooh, you brought in food too? you shouldn't have mc, but thanks!" he beamed with a smile as you did the same. "you're welcome-" your sentence had suddenly been interrupted by someone who you didn't expect to pop out of nowhere.

"and whatever is this gift that you presented to kalim, mc?" he instantly grabbed the special-wrapped food box of cake in his hands. kalim was shocked to see him appear so suddenly. "JAMIL?! i thought you were still back at the basketball court." he points it out. "it's cake, jamil." you told jamil. "i bought that for the both of you." you told kalim as he still had suspicion towards it. by knowing that, you had instantly gave up on it.

"tsk, the look on your face says it all." you let out a sigh. "i guess i'll just have it back then." you took the box of cake off his hands but he refuses to give it to you. "just why do you want it back ,exactly?" the sly smirk on his face made you even more annoyed. "i was thinking that you might not like it, so give it back to me." you grabbed the box off his hands but he still held onto it so tightly that you couldn't get it. "it'll be a waste if you had it back, wouldn't it?" that's where you had given up on jamil. you let go of your hands off the cake. "you win. it's all yours then. i just had a feeling you would refuse, but i guess i was wrong." you said. jamil could tell the fake genuine tone on your voice.

kalim nervously laughs in between your conversation with jamil. "okay, you guys sounded so aggresive back there with the way you interacted. let's all keep a cool act, alright?" he says while trying to calm the both of you down. jamil didn't need to hear anything from kalim. "as if i would make an attempt to keep my cool whenever mc is around." the two of you rolled your eyes at each other. "kalim, where's the restroom? i need to be excused for a bit." you asked him. "oh, just down the hallway to the left." he points the direction at you.

you let out a 'thanks' to kalim before you headed off to the restroom. you didn't went to the restroom to cool off your grudge towards jamil. you just needed to use the toilet for obvious reasons. kalim looked at jamil with worry on his face. "i think mc is upset, jamil." he tells him. "them saying that they need to be excused already means wanting to stay away for a bit."

jamil lets out a laugh at kalim's response. "they're not upset. why should you assume things that would cause a misunderstanding?" kalim decides to not say anything towards it anymore. he began to sigh. "okay, fine. if that's how you guys get along, then who am i to have a say on it?" he says as he shrugged his shoulders.

the two of them started to gasp loudly in shock the moment the lights had turned off from all over the dorms. everything was dimmed black. "AHH- THE LIGHTS ARE OUT!" kalim yells. "don't panick kalim. the lights will be back on in a minute." jamil says. "but everything is so dark? i can't just stand here still while waiting." jamil was fed up with kalim at this point. then they heard your voice echoed through the hallway which has caught their attention.

"GET AWAY FROM ME!" kalim lets out a loud gasp as he recognized your voice. "is that mc?!" he sounded horrified. jamil's eyes widened when he had heard you from afar. the lights then turned back on in just a quick minute. "oh, thank god the lights are back on!" kalim sighs in relief. he then grabs a hold on jamil's hand. "we have to go check on mc!" he says. "i'll be the one to go after them."

jamil stops kalim from going with him."they seem to be have been caught in a dangerous situation. i will have to check on it." jamil insists on checking you up by himself. "i wanna tag along! i also want to make sure that they're safe too." jamil shook his head and had already parted away from kalim. "just stay there, kalim. there's a possiblity that the situation would become even dangerous as we get there. stay with the others and don't do anything careless while i'm away." he reminds him before he went off to the restroom to where you were last headed off to.

"mc." he knocked on the door as he called for your name. jamil didn't want to immediately barge into the restroom as it was a wrong thing to do. "mc, are you there?" he knocked on the door again, but there was no signs of you being inside the room. to his luck, he glanced at the floor and noticed footprints that came outside the restroom's door. the supposed person's footprints seem to had worn dirty muddy shoes. "an intruder?" jamil wonders. he observes more of the footprints, and in result; it had appeared to lead to the exit of the dorm. "they got away?" he muttered under his breath. jamil began to take action and sprinted his way to the exit.

kalim noticed jamil running as he passed by. "jamil, what happened to mc?" he asks him. "kalim, there's a supposed intruder that caused the blackout within the dorms and mc's sudden disappearance. so whatever you do, just stay there and do not get involved with anything that could lead to danger." kalim wanted to say another thing to jamil but he had already started to run away and leave the dorms. "oh, if only you allowed me to go with you jamil. he complains. "what's gonna happen to ramshackle dorm if mc disappeared for longer?"

the footprints' leads were no nowhere to be found. jamil was now stuck in a situation where he's gonna have a hard time searching for you. he decided to approach grim since he's the first person to know where you were would be at the moment. someone had to appear in jamil's way as he was about to leave.

"my, my jamil. what a coincidence to see you here. and judging by your expression, you seem to be in a hurry. why is that?" jamil did not have time to have a small talk with azul while he's in the middle of finding about your whereabouts. "azul, please do not bomboard me with questions now that you've guessed that i'm in a hurry with something." he rolled his eyes at azul.

he lets out a laugh in response. "haha, i wouldn't dare to disturb with whatever you're doing. if i take a guess, does this situations of yours have something to do with mc?" he asks while adjusting his glasses. "are you implying that you're the one behind this, azul?" jamil shoots a glare at him. "partially i did." he explained. "it's mostly the twins' doings and grim initiated it first." he tells jamil.

"grim took part of this too?" he asks again as azul nodded. "correct, he did. if you would me to explain more, follow me to the mostro longue. i suppose mc might be staying there at this time." as much as jamil didn't want to do anything that had azul in it, he had to do it. just for the sake of finding you. he worries that something bad would possibly happen to you, so he had no choice at all and decided to go with azul. "fine. i should remind you that i'm only doing this for mc." he tells azul as he lets out a chuckle. the two of them began to make their way to the octavinelle dorms.

azul lead jamil to his office room where you were currently staying at. along with the twins and grim as well. "sea snake! are you looking for shrimpy?" floyd greets him. jamil seemed concerned when he saw floyd hugging you very tightly. the look on your face screams for help. "can everyone of you please give out a explaination behind this mess that you all have caused?" jamil sounded so stressed out.

"the sudden blackout in the scarabia dorms? and an attempt of kidnapping mc? all of these happenings already caused a serious misunderstanding and trouble to the dorms, so i want a clear explaination now." he demanded for an answer. he needed to let out all his frustration as the situation was stressing him out very much. "when i got out of the restroom, everything was dark and i heard floyd laughing near me. then he started to carry me away immediately which was why i yelled." you explained the matter.

"jamil, if you ask me; this all started because i wanted to know where mc was. i approached these guys first since they have brainers for everyone's information." grim explains to jamil. "that necessarily doesn't mean you have to rely on us whenever you have a friend that's missing." jade tells grim. "it was only a simple question, but guess what the two of you did?" he asks both azul and jade. "you allowed this big guy here to find mc by himself, instead of me!" he pointed towards floyd.

"i knew where mc was, of course i'd go out looking for them by myself!" floyd answers already started to sound angry. "and look what happened now, scarabia is now in a mess because of you!" grim curses at floyd. "what's wrong with making a little scene? you people are no fun at all. learn to have some fun once in a while too." floyd said as he rolled his eyes. jamil had now got his answer. it was floyd who caused the blackout and drag mc away in the corridors.

"i disagree with you on that, floyd. do take note of your limits next time you plan on doing such acts." jade tells his brother as azul agreed with him. "jade is right, floyd. we wouldn't want their vice housewarden jamil to be sent in a stressed state as well." floyd had now given up. "fineeeeee." he answers.

"that was the most crappiest move you have ever pulled floyd. it makes want to stay away from you next time." you told floyd. "no shrimpy! you're stuck here in my arms forever until i get bored of you." he lets out a smile fully showing off his sharped teeth.

"floyd, please let go of mc. they are clearly not amused with you." jamil yanks off floyd's hands that were wrapped around you. he pulls you closer to him. "okay, fine. i'm guessing you like shrimpy anyway, sea snake." jamil's cheeks started to turn red. "tch, what a joke. let's leave now mc." he looks at you.

"hey, what about me?" grim walks up to the both of you but azul blocked his way. "and where do you think you're going? perhaps you have forgotten about the deal we had agreed on, in exchange of finding mc for you." azul reminds him. grim had suddenly remembered it. "oh, right. a taste test with the foods, right? bring it in!" he happily exclaims. the octavinelle trio looks at each other with grinned smiles on their faces.

that made you felt bad about grim since something bad was likely about to happen. but it's not a serious one anyway so you didn't stress about it much. you let a soft laugh towards them. "poor grim, he is so gonna regret it." you whispered to jamil. "indeed he will." he also agrees with you. azul turns to look at you and jamil as you were both about to leave the room.

"goodbye now, jamil. i-" jamil shuts off the door at azul's face, not wanting to hear another sentence from him. "i'm not in the mood for a friendly small talk with you, azul." he says walking away from the door with you. you began to laugh at what he did. "oh damn, aggressive much?" you teasingly asked him. "you had me stressed out over your whereabouts earlier. please do not be involved with those octavinelle people again." jamil reprimanded you. you could only let out a shrug as response. "okay, if that's what you want." you said.

you began to intertwine your hand within his which caught him off guard. "just what do you think you're doing, mc?" he asks you. "well, that situation made you so stressed out right? i'll hold hands with you, just in case the same thing will happen again." you told jamil. he was unsure of your idea at first, but he was now convinced so he agreed to it. "fine." the faded red color started to appear on his cheeks again.

as you both arrived back at the dorms, kalim was happy to see you both again. "oh, thank goodness you're found safe mc." he also notices the two of you holding hands. "HUH, you two are holding hands? does this mean you guys are together now?" you and jamil are about to be in a flustered mess together, because of kalim's question. "NO WE ARE NOT!"

also stares at you, but in class this time. bro isn't listening at all actually because he's too busy looking at you.

maybe i will admit that ruggie is a little shit but he's actually a sweetheart when he wants to be. it's a win/win situation if you like annoying guys but has a soft spot for you.

azul may be a tad bit conscious about what you think about him. screw that- he's definitely conscious about what you think about him. from not only about what happened during his overblot and from his insecurities.

he knows you aren't that type of person, but he can't help it.

it makes him feel a million times better when you reassure him though. even if it's making him a bit delusional.. but then again you might be saying that just because you pity him.

you go to monstro lounge about once a week, and for sure, azul has sent jade and floyd to take care of you well, since of couse, most of the time he's busy.

floyd almost exposed azul's crush on you once when you two were chatting, thankfully jade was there to cover his mouth before he continued speaking.

but when he is actually there face to face actually talking to you, he sounds smug but in reality, he's a nervous wreck in the inside. you obviously know that though.

wait till you tell him that you find him cute..

he explodes

no i'm joking, he's just blushing really hard. like.. too much. again- it's kinda obvious that he likes you whenever you compliment him.

☆ — JADE LEECH

so, so respectful when talking to you. still a bit teasing though. he offers to help you even if you're carrying just one thing.

always glad to see you when you're visiting monstro lounge, floyd loves you just as much, but in a platonic way! he isn't going to steal jades version of his 'shirmpy'.

tried to make a drink thats named by you, azul didn't allow it, unfortunately. (for him). i'd be embarrassed tbh.

in your opinion jade is a bit weird.. but he's still super nice to you, no matter how weird this guy seems. he would never do anything that would make you uncomfortable.

similar to riddle- he opens doors for you, sometimes offers to cook for you, and sometimes treats you whenever you're at montro lounge. only if azul allows it though, which is pretty rare. like jade wtf dym "its on the house" no it's not shut up.

you sometimes wonder if his mushrooms are safe to eat or not.

it's probably best not to ask him though.

he may or may have not tried breaking into your dorm room because you weren't attending class and you weren't responding to his messages asking where you were. it was all on concern tho don't worry i swe-

genuinely doesn't have a problem with confessing, but he only confesses until he's confident that you like him back.

trigger warning for floyd though since he's probably gonna pop out anytime soon during the confession..

☆ — FLOYD LEECH

my condolences if he ever likes you.

just kidding, it'd be pretty fun if floyd started to like you. only if you really like his bone crushing hugs.

doesn't hide his crush on you at all, you gotta be super oblivious if you don't notice it if he didn't even confess to you yet the moment he finds out that he likes you.

you're definitely scared shitless whenever you see him. when you try to run away he chases you around the halls and he's so damn fast, it's nearly impossible to escape him.

plus- his mood swings too? who knows if he'll get excited when you run away from him or if he's gonna get pissed off.. but mostly he gets excited though.

has kabedoned you one, too many times. mostly to fluster you, but also to get your attention.

easily gets jealous- especially when someone else hugs you for a long time. no one can hug his shrimpy except him! he isn't possessive, that's just how floyd is.

also stares at you in class- but throws paper airplanes at you, with the writings inside saying "HI".

ends up getting in trouble because either he got caught, or riddle snitched. most likely the second one tho.

drags you to monstro lounge to help him clean up his OWN messes, but he (might) have intentionally done this to spend time with you..

☆ — KALiM AL-ASiM

probably one of the best people ever to have a crush on you if that even makes sense..

spoils you rotten, even more than when he spoils his friends which is obviously already huge. wanna buy something online but can't? he's already asking for the link so he can buy it for you!

you obviously feel bad whenever he does this, so you try to remind him that he doesn't have to do all of this stuff for you.

not only with gifts, he spoils you rotten with affection too. you feel bad for jamil as well, he seems annoyed, but as long as kalim's happy.

very very respectful and nice to you, and will stop anything you don't want him to do anytime, he sometimes flirts with you unintentionally too..

hugs you literally at literally any chance he gets, he's also pretty clingy, if you haven't noticed that yet.

shows you off to other scarabia students, it's pretty obvious that he has a crush on you too.

bro's lovesick

gets so upset when something happens to you because of him, worries that people will try to do some crazy shit to you as well because you have a good connection with him..

introduces you to his family like you're his wife or something.. and then when you ask him what are you guys he'll go:

"are we not engaged" "NO??"

he was fully convinced that you guys were dating already

he's a little bit delusional but that's ok..

like riddle, jamil does not have the time to fall in love with someone since he's already busting his ass off taking care of kalim.. and with his academics too. plus the overblot situation but we don't talk about that.

maybe you are a little bit scared of him as well, but little do you know this guy will literally adjust for you anytime. it's really hard to see though when he does.

VERY hard to see that he has a crush on you though. you'd confess and he'd be like,

"i gave you so much signs what do you mean i might not like you back"

you were starstruck when you heard him say that. what does he mean signs. does he mean when he glared at you in class..? you thought you did something wrong for a second.

jamil definitely likes you trying his culture's food, especially if he cooked it himself! it's not obvious, but he lets a small smile creep up onto his lips.

studies with you too if you're ever having a hard time. studying? nah, more like tutoring.. he's kinda harsh at first but then softens up a bit when he sees that you're really struggling.

im sure we all know silver is a generally pretty reserved person. and that doesn't change even when he's crushing on you.

but you do notice him stealing glances from time to time whenever you walk past him, lilia definitely asks him about that.

he may be a tad bit more open with you than others? but it's purely because he trusts you.

you sometimes tie his hair to the hairstyle called "apple hair" when he's sleeping and he doesn't notice even when he wakes up, he only notices after looking at a mirror..

genuinely doesn't mind though. lilia thinks it's adorable (he also thinks you guys are perfect for each other)

Floyd Leech:

You are incredibly thankful you caught Floyd on a good day, as splatting on the ground would be preferable to landing on an already irritated eel. He tilted his head as he stared at the window you flew out of, asking with a pout why you were having fun without him. Once his questioning is over (he wanted to recreate the experiment gone wrong with his VERY lucky lab partner next period), he asked what his prize was for catching you. You ignore the devious pointed grin to give him a kiss on his cheek, a real mistake as he squeezed you extra tight until he felt he was properly compensated in kisses.

Jamil Viper:

Jamil thinks, at first, that he should’ve let you fall on your ass but his ‘don’t let the rich idiot die’ training kicked in automatically. He stared at you with a raised eyebrow, his disappointed mother look getting you to confess immediately to what had gone wrong. When you thank him he’s suddenly flustered, telling you not to bring him into your shenanigans unnecessarily as a real ‘thanks’. When you offered up a kiss on the cheek Jamil found himself thrown off balance again, doing his best to glare and cursing himself for only ever finding trouble.

Malleus Draconia:

Malleus caught you with total ease, looking at you in his arms with an amused smirk on his face. He asked if you were alright, giving you a once over before carefully setting you back on the ground (you don’t think you’ve ever been that high up). Before you’re down though you find yourself wrapped around his neck, your lips pressed hastily against his cheek. Your boldness had always amused him and this was no different, Malleus asking if he could get another if he continued to hold you.

Rook Hunt:

Rook thought he might’ve smelled trouble in the air then, lo-and-behold — a beautiful specimen was offered from the heavens above, falling directly into his strong arms within the blink of an eye. He is painfully curious on how you managed to get in a situation like that, having to compliment your ability to stay stunning even while wildly flying through the air in a panic. He insisted you invite him next time, even the sweet kiss on the cheek you give not enough as he refused to put you down until you agreed to bring him on your next adventure.

Vil Schoenheit:

You can’t help but note that, despite his slim, sleek physique, Vil is actually quite strong. He doesn’t have any trouble holding you in his arms, sighing and asking what caused such a scene. He takes it in stride but you can see he wants to give a thorough lecture (and perhaps a much less elegant ass-kicking) to the person who almost caused you harm. Now, if you were the culprit behind your own almost demise you’d be on the receiving side of his withering glare, no kisses able to save you from the scolding he delivered.

Meaningful Kiss

SUMMARY: Would they make Public Displays of Affection? If not, are they protective instead? And how do they show you how much they truly love you through their kisses?

COMMENTS: This has been a WIP for so long that I don't even remember how I got the idea to write it. And in my case, being a WIP for a long time means that I wrote one part and then went on to write something else and ended up forgetting about this one for a long time. 😅 But now I've finished it.

CONTEXT: You two are in an established relationship already.

Riddle is not really the PDA type. The most he would do with you in public could be walk arm in arm like you were royalty. In terms of kisses, a kiss on the back of your hand or, at the most, on your cheek.

When the two of you are alone on a normal day, he will probably be working on his student and Housewarden duties. But whenever you tell him he should take a break, he'll get up, sit next to you and hug you, like you're a charger.

If you're relaxing together, he’ll be reading a book with one arm around you. Either around your shoulders or around your waist, which you told him you like the most. He’ll also laying his head on your shoulder.

The most meaningful kisses are, of course, the kisses on your lips. He's not the type to kiss you on the lips just like a "good morning" thing. These kisses are always sweet and lovely. His hands would be on your cheeks to caress them.

He needs you, but his kisses aren't needy. They are the caring type. You are his precious rose. In contrast to his strict self, the way he shows you that he loves you is through soft affection and care.

A relationship with Leona Kingscholar comes with your rights and duties. Some of your rights: He will buy you things; you’re allowed to pet his ears; he will be your protector and you can sleep with him in his comfy bed and have breakfast in bed (he ordered someone to bring it to you two)

Some of your duties: let him use you as a pillow (be it your thighs in the greenhouse or your chest in bed.); don't be too annoying to him; dealing with his “smugness” on a daily basis and being his and his alone, the same way he's yours.

He's kinda into PDA, but more in the sense of telling anyone who might look at you with interest that you're his. Or anyone who looks down on you that if they do the slightest thing against you they will have to suffer at his claws. If the other person is a friend of yours, he'll let it go.

He has at least two types of kisses. The first is the “make out” kisses. When you're alone and he wants you (if you want him at the time too of course), he would give you deep kisses, kiss your neck and run his hands over you. Either he would make you sit on his lap our make you lie down with him.

His real meaningful kisses are the second ones. The "lazy" kisses. The first ones are linked to his pride. These second ones are much more affectionate. Usually happen when he's still sleepy, like when he just woke up from a good nap. He may lazily put his arms around you and kiss your cheek, neck, or shoulder gently. This is perhaps the most vulnerable state he will let you see. And so it will only happen in private.

Azul is also not very adept at PDA, but he is still capable of putting an arm around you and kissing your cheek to show how well he takes care of you.

He's already quite charming and pleasant with his potential clients, so with you it's not much different in public. The only difference is that with you it's genuine.

Do I need to say that dating him is like dating a Mafia Boss? AKA: Nobody disrespects my loved ones, unless they want a certain head in their beds when they wake up. (reference to The Godfather)

Being alone with him on a normal day would probably be being with him in his VIP room at Mostro Lounge. You're sitting on one of the couches while he's dealing with his paperwork. He’s probably the type that likes to be teased a little. So, when you see that he is no longer that attentive to the papers, go up to him, play with his hair, kiss his cheek, that will put him in the mood for you.

He’s the opposite of Leona. The kisses he usually gives you are sweet and charming like him. Because that's the side of him he want to show you the most. He'll kiss your cheek and lips affectionately. Let you sit on his lap. The side he most wants to show you is the confident and caring side. The one who shows you that you can trust him and that he will take care of you.

His most meaningful kiss is the opposite. The one related to his needy side. He shows you his most vulnerable side when he is the one who needs you. And that's what everything he does shows you. His kisses, his hugs, his begging look, all screaming “I need you! Please don’t leave me.”

Jamil is completely against PDA! He doesn't like to stand out or draw attention and PDA always do that to the people involved. He won't hold your hand or kiss you. To the point where no one knows if you're even dating or not.

The only way he would show his affection for you in public is if that is a way to protect you. If someone looks down on you and he feels that that persons can be a threat to you, he will show that he is an even greater threat to them. In these moments, his protective side is stronger. He is Kalim's protector by obligation, but yours by free will.

It's when you're alone that he'll make up for his lack of affection of the day. On a normal day, you would be alone in the kitchen. He would probably be cooking for Kalim, but making something for you two as well. He’ll let you taste things as he cooks. He feels more relaxed when he's with you and even more so when you hug him.

When you're relaxing together, he would spoil you. Give you soft and sweet kisses. Pet your head and play with your hair. Give you massages and feed you things like grapes or small snacks. Or even taking the first mouthful of food he made for you to your mouth and seeing your delighted face.

The most meaningful gestures of affection he shows you are related to his most lustful side (lust for power) when you are the one spoiling him. The one moment in his life where he is no longer the servant, but the master. This time, he kisses your lips, your neck and everything he's entitled to. He tends not to show his feelings but with you he will show how much he loves you and how much he wants you.

In reality, Vil neither likes nor dislikes PDA. He's kind of indifferent to it. The only reason he doesn't do it with you is because it would have bad consequences for both of you for his work as an actor and model. The most he can do is walk hand in hand with you.

Even though he doesn't show it much in public, everyone will know that you two are dating. He'll make sure of it, even if it's just information on the internet or him straight out saying it. On the one hand to protect you, because only an idiot would try to mess with Vil Schoenheit's partner. On the other hand to discourage anyone who has the slightest interest in you. “Honey, they’re with me. Do you really think you can even get to my heels? So, don't bother them.”

The only possible problem for you is that he's going to be more strict now that you're dating. From the outside it looks like he can be mean and demanding with you. But the truth is, he wants you to look your best so people know why he fell in love with you. He wants others to see on the outside how beautiful you are on the inside.

But of course, sometimes it's too much and you'll challenge him. Be stubborn and carefree. The best part? He's so into it! Your way of teasing each other.

He kisses you every now and then when you're alone. But when you put him on this mood, all his affection mix with boldness intensifies. Oh, of course, you wanted him to remind you what the reward is for listening to him. The answer is: appreciating you with the rest of his senses, sensual kisses on your lips, jaw, neck and shoulders; his hands running over your body, him delighting in your wearing the perfume he made for you. He'll show you how beautiful you are to him.

PDA is not even an option! There is no way! Na-a! Listen, Idia loves you, really, he promises BUT going with you to places where couples usually go is already a lot and holding hands is the absolute most he can do. IF that even happens.

He wouldn’t be the jealous type. If someone shows an interest in you, at least they have good taste. But if someone looks down on you or goes so far as to disrespect you, then he goes from 0 to 100. Do these worms know he can hack them? exposing things that can completely ruin their lives until the day they pass through the gates of the underworld? Ortho can help protect you in the meantime.

Since he is a 0 to 100 guy, his kisses are the same. His "0" kisses are lazy. Mainly light, on your shoulder and neck, because you would be sitting on his lap, chest to chest, while he plays on his PC and you on your phone on his back. He also gives you casual "hi" and "bye" kisses on the lips.

Then there is his "100" kisses. Those are the real meaningful kisses, the "I love you" kisses. They are passionate but kind. Because loving you is different for loving a game, it's like he found his balance. they are not needy, but appreciative, the real embodiment of "OMG, I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!" He also becomes bolder as he feels comfortable with you. He loves to tease you until he makes you shut him up with a kiss. The stronger your relationship is, the more daring and smug he will be.

Malleus is quite indifferent to PDA. However, he is not the type to initiate the exchange of affection, but he is the type to reciprocate it. He won't kiss or hug you out of nowhere. But if you kiss or hug him, he will definitely reciprocate.

And he's going to be extremely casual about it. I mean, it's two lovers interacting with each other. As young humans would say: What's the big deal? However, he still distinguishes between the affection he gives you in public and the affection he gives you in private.

In public, his hugs are polite, and his kisses are light but loving.

In private, what he wants most is simply to be with you. He loves it when you sit on his lap and he cuddles you, and he likes it even more when you cuddle him back. He maintains his composure quite well, but you know that just your kisses on his checks already melt him inside.

His regular kisses in privet are sweet, loving, showing you that you are the most precious thing in his life. And very recurrent. He may not be the type to initiate the exchange of affection in public, but he certainly is in private.

All his kisses are meaningful, but the most meaningful of all are the one he gives you on your lips while smiling. The kind of kiss he can't stop himself from giving you. You may not even notice when they happen, because you are simply being yourself.

He feels the need to kiss you passionately when you do something that reminds him of why he fell in love with you. The moments when you do something that may seem simple, but for him it is something extraordinary. And if you don't realize at first how incredible that small gesture can be for him, it only makes you more charming.

Courting, Pining, or Flirting?

Characters: All NRC students x reader (seperately)

Do the NRC boys court you, pine for you, or flirt with you?

HEARTSLABYUL

Riddle Rosehearts will do his best in courting you. Raised to be strict and formal, he has virtually no idea of what love is, or how to express it. The best he got was the fairytales of princesses and knights in his childhood. So he’ll follow their lead to the best of his ability. Riddle will give you his blazer jacket, and take your arm in his when navigating crowded hallways- he’ll even bow to you when saying goodnight, placing a tender kiss on your hand. Riddle might need a bit of a confidence boost before he performs a moonlight soliloquy under your balcony, though.

Ace Trappola, unsurprisingly, enjoys flirting with you. What can he say, he’s a fun-loving guy! That extends to all parts of his life, including you. When the two of you are watching movies on his laptop in Ramshackle Dorm, he’ll tug the blanket away, forcing you to cuddle up to him for warmth. One day in class, a crumpled paper ball will hit you on the shoulder, reading: DO YOU LIKE ME? YES/NO ;) It’s childish, but somehow endearing.

Deuce Spade, ever the gentleman, will try (keyword: try) his best in courting you. His mom didn’t raise a brat! Listening to her advice, he’ll buy you flowers, ask you out on the weekends, and drape his jacket over your shoulders when you get cold. It’s a lot less smooth than it sounds, though. He’ll be a blushing, stuttering mess the entire time and accidentally spill his plans to you before he can execute them. Then he’ll apologize and spill even more of his plans- and alas, the cycle continues.

Trey Clover is surprisingly good at flirting! Trey is confident in his ability to charm people. Even the most uptight of Prefects tend to relax a little around him. Of course, the delicious handmade pastries he often brings along with him are just a bonus. They’re an easy way to strike up a conversation with you, getting you to spill more and more about yourself to him. He’s comfortable to talk to, isn’t he? Oh, is that baked good your favorite? Expect a box of them to show up on your desk within the next week, along with a coy little note: Sweets for the sweet.

Cater Diamond, on the surface, is definitely into flirting. He chases anything and everything within a fifty-meter radius of himself, and giving his posts on Magicam so much as a comment will result in a Hey cutie ;) popping up in your DM notifications at 1 AM. But with a person that Cater truly loves, face to face, he won’t do anything more than stay by your side as a supportive friend, pining from afar. He’s afraid of messing this up. Do you even see him that way? Please say you do.

SAVANACLAW

Leona Kingscholar does all three, in the order of pining, courting, and flirting. Hear me out: Leona pines, but not in a hopeless way. Instead, he just figures that he doesn’t have the time or emotional investment for a relationship. But once the feelings began to grow, Leona gets desperate. He doesn’t want opportunities to slip through his fingers without doing anything. So he’ll begin subtly hanging out with you more, until it reaches the courting stage. At that point, he becomes visibly softer and less harsh around you. He’ll only really be comfortable flirting and being playful with you once you’re in an established relationship, not before.

Ruggie Bucchi is into casual flirting- Well, he’s into it until he realizes he’s fallen so hard that he can’t climb back out. It’s all fun and games to him at first. Oh, you want to pet his ears? Maybe trading that cookie of yours from the lunch buffet would be suitable collateral. You think he looks good in the PE uniform? There’s more where that came from. Want him to accompany you on a late-night errand? Of course! He loves spending time with you- Wait, when did that happen?

Jack Howl follows his sharp instincts on everything, and every sign is pointing at him courting you like a true gentleman. He knows he’s a little rough around the edges, but he’s got no problem cleaning his act up for you. Putting on a suit and tie and using a bit of gel in his hair and around his ears is a small price to pay for your affection. He’s not particularly shy about showing you he has feelings for you, but outright telling you might take a bit more time and effort.

OCTAVINELLE

Azul Ashengrotto is painfully, unequivocally deep in pining for you. There’s just no way around it is there? Oh, what he wouldn’t give to crawl into his tako pot and hide when you’re around. You’re on his mind every second of every day, and he lays in bed every night wondering if you see him the same way. Is he handsome to you? Is he smart? He wants to hold you so bad but he won’t do it until you tell him yes, I like you too, first.

Jade Leech, ever the calm, collected one, excels at smooth flirting. He just knows you like him as much as he likes you, and he’s not afraid to point it out. It’s not like you’re subtle about it either- with the way you sit in a corner booth of Mostro Lounge for hours, just to be able to talk with him after-hours over leftover pastries and tea. You wouldn’t mind if he did this with you more often, would you?

Floyd Leech has his unique way of flirting, just like everything else in his life. You’re just so exciting, Shrimpy! Won’t you tell him a little more about your day? Even just the little things, like how many pages of notes you took in History of Magic class or an answer to a test question or two- he’s kidding, he’s kidding! All jokes aside, Floyd truly does enjoy your company and the ways you spice up his life.

SCARABIA

Kalim Al-Asim does none of the three, surprisingly. He’s so bright it might not even occur to you that he’s interested until you’re already three layers deep. He’s always been a friendly person, so when he begins inviting you to hang out all the time, you wouldn’t give it a second thought. It’s only when you notice him trying to do things for you rather than just with you do you realize his feelings might run a little deeper than just friendship. He tries to be chivalrous, but it usually just comes off as him playing at being your prince charming. The closest you could get to describing what Kalim does is playful, friendly courting- albeit a very unconventional form of it.

Jamil Viper is used to never getting what he wants. Somewhere along the line he stopped trying. So when you step into his life, shining but not blinding like Kalim, he hesitates. Is he ready to take such a risk? All he knows for sure is that he wants you in his life… someday. So quietly, in between classes and in the hallways, he’ll be pining for you from afar- hoping you’ll make the first move, so that he won’t have to worry about Kalim whisking you away.

POMEFIORE

Vil Schoenheit thinks he has never met someone so beautiful before. You might even be half as beautiful as he is! It’s a huge compliment coming from someone like him. You’re also half as smart, almost as strong, and maybe he’d consider taking you out for lunch- but don’t get it twisted! He’s doing this out of the goodness of his heart. (He likes you. He really likes you. Please date him.) It’s not very good flirting, but he’s trying his best.

Rook Hunt is flamboyant and genuine in everything he does, which includes flirting with you, his longtime crush. You have the most beautiful smile he’s ever seen! Would you mind if he admired it for a while? He’ll brag about you to everyone around him, much to the irritation of Vil, who finds it offensive that his biggest supporter has ‘betrayed’ him for another. Rook doesn’t care, though. If you so pleased, he’d be more than happy to walk you to your next class. Anything to bask in your unmatched beauty just a few seconds longer.

Epel Felmier is good at flirting, and he’s confident about it too! A rough and tumble farm boy like him needs a cute thing on his arm to show off, doesn’t he? Don’t laugh at him- he’s trying to impress you. He’ll do anything he can to prove to you that he’s a strong, capable person and your perfect match. Let him carry your books, and serve you in the cafeteria buffet line. When you share a snack together, he’ll lean just a bit too close, letting his cheek brush against yours before pulling away. Come on, look him in the eyes! Or are you too shy~

IGNIHYDE

Idia Shroud has never met you in real life. You’ve never seen his face, but he’s seen yours through the camera of his tablet at housewarden meetings. Maybe it’s the pent up stress speaking, but wow, you’re way out of his league. Best to make casual conversation and repress his pining over a game of online chess, lest he screw it all up in real life.

DIASOMNIA

Malleus Draconia is a lonely soul who knows little more than a life of isolation. When you walk into his life, unafraid of the twisted black crown that sits on his head or the ominous aura that seems to surround him, he has to wonder if after all these years he’s finally found his soulmate. Immediately, he wants to make plans to see you every day, to listen to you ramble about anything and everything beyond the briar walls around his castle. Stay a while and talk with him, won’t you? Malleus is the true definition of patience and indulgence when he’s courting you.

Lilia Vanrouge isn’t one for mere high school relationships. He’s a father and a general! He’s got a teenager to raise and armies to lead, on top the infamously heavy homework load from NRC classes. You’d have to be really important to him to find a place in his ancient heart. Sure, he’ll have his fun with flirting and all, but no one can really expect a thousand-year old fae to fall in love… right?

Sebek Zigvolt is shocked, no pun intended. There’s no way a fae like himself has fallen for a mere human! No, he won’t accept it. Sebek will turn in somersaults and bend over backwards to make any excuse on why he is not in love with you, he’s just a bit agitated today! Ironically, he makes things harder for himself with this mindset, condemning himself to pining for you from afar.

Silver, like his name, wants to be your knight in shining armor- he’s just not quite sure how to go about it yet. He supposes he’ll ask for your parents’ permission to begin courting you, first. That’s the tradition in the Valley of Thorns after all. But when Lilia points out that it’s a bit old-fashioned, he’ll simply agree and go along with whatever terrible plans the rest of Diasomnia comes up with next. Be prepared to be barraged with an awful yet endearing mix of pick-up lines, cheesy love letters, and classic romance songs that this quartet comes up with in their free time. The best thing? Silver himself won’t even be awake for half of it.

(in the form of a balloon, you never said you were gonna stick around!)

unsurprisingly, riddle gets a lot of bizarre things from students and professors alike. confessions are one thing but having one in this... circular, red, full of helium balloon is certainly a surprise. creative, he'll give them that. if anything he's just confused with it in his arms as you just sort of, shove it in his arms and run away. he recognizes you easily but once cater plucks it out of his grip and shows him the message he just turns red.

trey is the type of guy to accept whatever you give him, honestly. it doesn't matter if you give him the most random of items, he'll take it without a single word of query (unless it's really questionable.) you could hand him a bottle of mustard in class, trey'll just blink and hold onto it patiently. a pair of batteries? thanks he guesses. a red, inflated balloon? he spares you a questioning glance but you're already collecting dust with how fast you ran away so he turns it and resists a smile. clearly spotting the bold letters.

the opposite of clover, cater just doesn't take anything from you unless it piques his interest or is just a casual 'hold onto this for a few' like water or something. things bordering past unusual is what he'd hesitate to take, though less given he trusts you. sometimes he doesn't take it all together simply cause he doesn't feel like it. caters probably updated on everything so when you shove the balloon in his arms and beeline he's pulling out his phone ready to scream his ass off in his dump account. (also gotta magicam this, duh.)

will most likely just dump it on the ground without another thought. or hand it back to you. ace does not care about balloons, he might even pop it in your face. that is, if you stayed for more than a second. he feels more inclined to peer further cause you ran away so fast. you looked embarrassed, and he finds out quickly why you'd proceed to never show up to his face for the following week when he spots it. stares at it dumbly for like, a minute before taking off after you... be scared ig.

added to the top ten best moments of his life note on his phone. deuce silently highlights your name on it with the same angry, red bump on his forehead because he accidentally ran into a pole midst trying to find you around the campus. he had the same idea as ace (twins) which is finding you immediately except once he read the confession he promptly lost all his braincells in the process. so he's very excited, slash embarrassed, slash shy? and can't conjure any logic cause it's just your face.

jokes on you. you think he's gonna make an effort to catch your stupid balloon? leona just watches it drop to the floor. the effort is only exerted when he's absolutely sure you've run away on your slow legs, he's not bashful—not at all. maybe that's just denial speaking though. he takes one look at the balloon, and pops it with a single dig of his nail. the stare is so brief that you'd doubt if he ever read it at all, when the evidence of your apparent love is now non-existent in the physical world, very much still lingering inside him. leona comes to the predicament that he can't seem to sleep days after.

ruggie is all too familiar with the lack of appreciation some folks hold towards cheaper material gifts. like a luxury jewel, a big, shiny lil' thing ultimately rotting in the closet of some soul cause its the 'price' that counts. he spots the words easily, discerning the black ink. not entirely formed with straight lines, the keen eyes of his spots the wriggles some hold. as though whoever wrote was nervous and he bores an impish grin. (and some back corner of his closet holds no big, pricey jewel, but the deflated balloon is worth all the more to him.)

more likely to leave it on accident. after falling victim to the annoying pranks his other first year 'friends' like to do, with him as the victim apparently. he's more suspicious of it than anything, jack does not want a face full of whipped cream once again. he stares at it like it's an alien and only goes for the initiative to take it into his hands when it rolls and showcases the very bold text, highlighted and straight to the point. jack inevitably ends up accidentally popping it due to the fear that some other person probably saw it, he did not mean to wreck it. atleast not with a messy chain of thoughts, but hey. atleast he got the message...

well versed in catching you in a gentle manner, if you ever slipped (he definitely did not practice.) so azul's reflexes respond quick enough to capture the red little thing with ease. he recognizes it as one of your antics, and he rarely doesn't humor them since it was harmless ones that don't really get under his skin, unlike that of the tweels... the curiosity of looking forward to whatever you had far outweighed any annoyance, and great sevens he might actually combust. ("JADE PREPARE THE LOUNGE—") <- absolutely ready to initiate the plans he had detailed through a script ages ago if this were to ever happen, with a red face. ha, ha.

either clueless, or already got an idea based entirely on the adorably stiff look on your face. jade easily puts two and two together, it's quite funny because he picks it up and doesn't spare a single look. stalking off to find you immediately, and only then does he take a peek as to whatever made the balloon special, right in front of you cause apparently he's gotta witness your raw embarrassment in the flesh?

floyd is likely not interested in the ball in the first place, he thinks you want to play catch so he runs after you with a laugh that... makes you a lot more concerned. he flings it uselessly to the face of some poor soul before he sprint after you, probably traumatizing them when they spot the 'I like you' on it, and when they realize they got it from the resident terrorist whose definition of 'I like you' is 'you're entertaining, I'm gonna keep on playing with you'. (only blinks when you tell him about it, seeing as he isn't close to releasing you anytime soon from his arms.) caught you!

scarabia

sparkles, around the sun... too bright... kalim's blinding everyone else with his obvious joy. almost immediately turns it and it's clear he saw something he really liked cause he has one of those grins, really wide, showing off his teeth and his face scrunches up to the point where you could barely spot the red irises of his eyes. his lips are wobbly too! and he thought the notion was simply too cute... (so much he just had to send it back, so you could feel what he felt too!) except it comes in a hundred times balloons inside your home.

really confused. is this supposed to be a new form of comfort in the era that he hasn't caught up with yet? jamil does nothing much to stop you from running away, yeah. that's your choice but it did strike an inkling of suspicion in him. with the way you aggressively shoved the balloon in his arms before you ran away makes him think it's contents are supposed to be for him only. seeing as you collected dust with that sprint, so he brings it home. and damn, thank god he did because seven forbid if anyone else actually saw the flicker of bashfullness in his expression, hopefully not his warming ears either.

you try to fool him by not rushing up to him, shoving it and then speeding away for once. but instead calmly placing it in his arms and then walking away like it might be the last time yall have a friendship haha (👀) vil sees right through you either way. dare I say he thinks the whole execution is strange, he means, you could literally just walk up to him and say the exact same thing written on the balloon and he would've loved it either way but eh, atleast you got it out!

don't walk into his room cause you will probably the very prominent place the balloon has in his room. rook surprisingly did not put it on a pedestal which is tame for his nature, but it does have a place in the corner of stuff he absolutely adores. you'd think you'd spared yourself from the embarrassment of seeing his reaction cause c'mon, that was a confession. it's nerve-wracking! but NO cause you spy him outside the window of your class and suffer a heart attack (3rd floor btw)

wherever he read that, epel's jaw drops. people would mistake him as someone who escaped from a mental asylum from the way he's gaping at a balloon like he just got told vil schoenheit got canceled on magicam for some controversy (he in fact, did not.) spends so much time staring at it, and the following where he's managed to snap out of it is spent also staring off into the distance *wedding bells ringing*

uuuuhhhhh... either send it to him digitally or shove it inside his room and dip?? if we're going with the latter, idia doesn't even notice until like, a day after cause he's been playing for. and it isn't even him who notices!! it's ortho!!! even if he did find it he would've ignored it, but behold, ortho, who reads the text in a hilariously flat tone. idia thought his brother was professing his love until the boy reveals it was from you. (nearly falls off the chair, then actually falls when he realizes it's been a day. imagine getting ghosted irl haha)

ortho could be the delivery boy if you're too embarrassed lmao. will help you in constructing a more poetic way with words but honestly the "YOU'RE CUTE LETS DATE" gets it done. boy probably doesn't understand why you don't wanna do it yourself, and records the entire thing, reaction of the person? forwarded to you until he leaves. but now you're suffering through wanting to watch, and not because you're too pussy to actually do it.

what... malleus is the equivalent of '???' like he's seen a few of these unique, forms but he never got the purpose of them. so he assumes it's like, some nice gift of human traditions question mark. so he appreciates it either way, he looks content honestly which is funny cause the terrifying wizard looks kinda silly holding that balloon like it's a child. actually you should've just gave him a blank balloon cause once he spots the confession, oh honey. are you fine with early marriage?

if you can't find lilia might as well yeet the balloon in the ceiling. chances are, he's there and he's gonna catch it. there's already a cheeky smile quirking up the ends of his lips, usually he'd have some sort of retaliation on the personal attack you inflicted on his heart but oh dear, it's strangely blank. he's humming, the round thing upside down as he rubs his chin in contemplation. everyone's just scared at the echoing giggles of the already dark hallway.

an attack? AN ATTACK! unlike lilia who knows how to use the figurative words youth joke about all the time, sebek is... hilariously serious about most things, if not so much that it strikes just a teeny tiny concern in your mind. honestly you didn't take much into account, not the fact that he might consider it as an assault or something because you're already speeding away. apparently not having gotten too far cause he catches up easily and holds you up by the back of your collar like a cat. (you'd most likely have to mention the words cause all he registered was the apparent attack, when he does check he goes redder in the face and accidentally drops you. nows your chance to run!!)

*angelic voice singing* silver, my boo boo, I mean what...? felt something soft being squeezed into his arms, he knew it was you but assumed it was a pillow so he just?? used it as a pillow?? under his head now?? most folks would be confused at the sight of the sleepy guy laying on a balloon cause, one, it might pop and startle everyone in vicinity, two, there's words scribbled on it. although cut off since his head is blocking the way, but the 'LIKE YOU' is really obvious. so he wakes up, glances at it and goes back to sleep, except he couldn't cause the balloon actually popped comically the same time he absorbed it in.

So I got this random idea after watching a few cat videos and I was wondering how Leona, Jack and Ruggie would react to a laser pointer. And, because I simp for him, maybe include Jamil mistaking it for a bug? Just a thought, and up to you.

This ended up being very cute and very silly, so I enjoyed it a lot! Also poor Jamil, I really put him through the wringer on this one.

Logically, he knows it’s just a little light and not an insect, or even something worth chasing or devoting his attention to. But damn him if he didn’t take a few swats at that little scampering light when you shone it in front of him. He’d been lying so comfortably too, sprawled out on the hot tile under the sun, soaking up the rays. You must have planned this ahead of time, waiting until he’d gotten comfortably drowsy before slipping the laser pointer from your pocket and waggling it near his hands.

Instinct won out after a few moments of observing its movements, one hand shooting out to swat the offending light. But you just directed it carefully away, dodging the second attacking hand as you went. It only took a few swats for you to no longer be able to stifle your laughter, leading to a seething glare from Leona as you devolved into bubbling giggles.

“Well, aren’t you proud of yourself?” He jeered, moving with surprising speed from his lounging position to tackle you to the floor beside him. Your compensation for interrupting naptime would be to serve as his human body pillow. Perhaps a few hours of ruminating on your decisions would deter you from teasing an apex predator next time.

Leave it to you to catch him at his most vulnerable, right when he was about to eat. Just as he was preparing to take a big bite of his sandwich you let the little light dance playfully next to his lunch tray. You watched his eyes follow it curiously, mouth still hanging agape with the sandwich a few inches away.

WHAP!

Of course, there was nothing there for him to catch, but you shifted the light anyway to appear like a fleeing insect. He jammed the sandwich into his mouth to add a second hand to his approach, trying and failing to catch the offending light as it scampered up and down the grain of the table. He let out an irritated growl at his inability to catch the little thing, though it was mostly muffled by bread, lettuce, and lunch meats.

When you finally flicked the laser pointer off he let out an audible snarl, searching feverishly across the counter for where the offending “insect” could have disappeared to. His nose scrunched in irritation and his ears flattened against his head, you couldn’t help but explain what was the actual cause, even if you knew it would just lead to your inevitable pranking in the future.

Jack is actually pretty good about keeping those chase-y, swatty instincts under control, so you’d have to catch him when he’s really distracted. If you don’t he’ll pretty much immediately realize it’s you causing this little light to dance about. When he’s studying though, brows furrowed with his nose tucked into the confusing book sitting flat on his table top, that’s a good time to send that little red light skipping across the page in front of him.

It’s purely instinctual at first, a hand reaching out to try and pin down whatever’s moving just on the peripheries of his vision while he studies. When he realizes he hasn’t caught anything, that’s when he’ll start to get more aggressive about it. After a few failed attempts he ends up loudly and suddenly slamming his book shut, trying to catch the light inside it. Both his hands fly up into the air and he lets out a growl when he realizes that has failed.

It’s only then that he’ll stop and watch for more than a few seconds, tracking the tiny motions of the light to your partially concealed hand sitting across from him. He’ll give you a pointed glare, reaching forward to bat the offending laser pointer out of your grip before returning to his studies.

You dash the little light across the counter top while Jamil is in the middle of prepping dinner, and he freezes like he’s being held at gunpoint.

“Did you see that?”

“See what?” You respond, oh-so-innocently.

“...Never mind.”

You wait a few moments before moving it again, letting it scamper up and over the carrots just as he’s reaching for them. His whole body jolts, grabbing the nearest utensil (a large ladle) and brandishing it at the offender.

“That! Right there!” He prods the carrots apart with the ladle, and yelps when the “insect” runs out from between them, disappearing off the side of the counter. After less than a second of pondering he grabs a large metal bowl off the counter and chucks it in the direction of the movement, spilling chopped vegetables across the counter and onto the floor.

“JAMIL!?”

“Where did it go?!? Keep your eyes open!”

You didn’t quite expect this level of mania in his response, and you’re quick to explain the situation before Jamil decides the next thing he throws should be something sharp. You are subsequently banned from the kitchen.

88 requests and every single jamil request is somewhat angst related but every request also manages to not request the same prompt this amazing

Jamil was sure that everything would go downhill the moment he snapped out from his overblotted state. He knew the moment he hatched out this whole plan against Kalim that his reputation and position would be endangered and every person he had oh so carefully become friends with would be wary of him.

It's a risk he took, and a consequence he was well prepared for.

He knew that. He had already prepared himself for the twisted frowns of fellow classmates surrounding him.

But when he came back to his senses and the first one he locked his eyes with were none other than you standing by the archway with a look he couldn't even describe?

Oh he felt his stomach turn in the worst way possible.

Jamil wasn't able to call out to you, nor reach his hand out and try to explain himself before he was faced with a crying Kalim. His previously worried expression twisting into one of annoyance at the loudness that was not helping his growing headache.

But when he had finally shoved Kalim's face away, because screw mannerisms and being polite now that his whole cover was already up in flames, you weren't by the archway anymore.

It's a consequence Jamil knew would happen, but god he didn't expect it to hurt as much as it did.

The next time he awoke, he was looking up at the same intricate patterns of the ceiling of his room, body feeling heavier than usual. But before he could force himself to get out of bed, a gentle hand had already pushed him back down: "You overblotted and overexhausted yourself. Just lay down, Jamil," you muttered softly, the vice-leader snapping his head towards you upon hearing your voice.

Didn't you leave? Weren't you disappointed? That he lied, stringed you along to thinking that he was a different person than he was? But before he could ask you any of those questions, you had only brushed aside his bangs and placed a cool towel on top of his forehead before gently cupping his cheek with your hand: "I already had a hunch you quite literally loathed Kalim. But I already told you once before and I'll tell you again," you say with a gentle smile.

Jamil knew what you were going to say. Because the first time you said it, he had brushed it off with a light chuckle not believing you.

"I'm here for you. Don't forget that," you gently reminded him once again.

Jamil had quite literally done everything for those words to never be uttered from your mouth again. But here you were, by his side and taking care of him while saying the exact same words he had brushed off months earlier.

And this time, Jamil did actually believe them.

When You Have An Secret Admirer - And Doubt Them

A love letter was left at your door and now you are searching for that ‘secret admirer’ - but you doubt it's true. Perhaps you don't believe it yourself or are trying to push the obvious infatution under the rug...whatever your reason may be, your dear classmates do not believe you.

Been feeling sick so here's a spin-off of the spin-off of your classmates replies when you say:

"I don't think anyone would like me like that..."

Raising his brow, he scoffed. "Ya don't get it. Listen, the only reason someone would go out of this daaaarn big way is either 'cuz they're a total idiot dork or have a massive big crush on you. And lucky you! For you both option are the case!" Sweat rolled down his jaw as he winked. -Ace

"Uhm," His mouth became dry and his eyes avoided yours. "I-I don't think - I mean, w-why wouldn't they? Like, the roses and chocalates...the notes and...mirror, I guess...that's all romantic. Y-You're a great person and...I'm sure that admirer thinks so, too." He wishes to say more but his tongue was tied. -Deuce

"Whuat? Of course they do! Have you seen the talks and Hearts on MagiCam? Some totally envy you!" His hand lowers to his pocket but decided against fishing out his phone. Instead, he threw his arm around your shoulder. "C'mon, juniour! Have a bit more confidence in yourself! Y'know, if it wasn't for your admirer, I would have long sent you these lovey-dovey stuff. Maybe in a different way though, haha!" -Cater

A sheepish chuckle escaped him. "Oh, come on. Don't be like that. It's clear as that day that someone fancies you and there's nothing wrong with that. You get your senior's allowance to indulge in the attention!" Laughing, he hoped he could ease the tension through his lies. -Trey

He cleared his throat. Something like this wasn't his forte. "I...am not an expert in...love and courting - Well, what I mean is that anyone can see that you are very much admired by someone. You are...a very great person so of course you'd be liked. Clicking his tongue, he rolled over to his side. "Why are you making a fuss about that? You're gonna break your little head over this, herbivore. Why don't you stop this belittling and confront that little admirer yourself and find out? If you have the guts to go into the lion's den, then you can go and ask a coward that, too." -Leona

"Huh," For a moment, he avoided your gaze and the corner of his lips twitched. "Well, I dunno. Why shouldn't anyone? If no one liked yer guts, then they would have looooong ripped you off or something - good thing I was there all the time but nothin' happened even when I wasn't there - what I mean is, no, you are likable, dummy. Shihishi..." He cackled nervously. -Ruggie

"I wouldn't know anything about that." Quickly clearing his throat, he tried to hide his flushed face, "As in...I don't know if I would agree with you. Someone wouldn't just do this for fun...I don't know anyone, in and outside of NRC, who would do this for fun, so..." He scratched his neck and hoped you'd catch his intentions. -Jack

"Wha," Sheepish laughter rang, "Oh, why...of course you'd be! Why wouldn't you be...why wouldn't they..." His hands reached for the papers on his desk as he failed to sort them, "If there are any doubts...Monstro Longue can also provide solutions for that. "Nonsense. I think you are quite charming. Or, could it be that you are playing the humble one? Trying to fool the rest while you are indulging in all the love your admirer provides?" A smarmy giggle. "I jest. But even so, that would make you even cuter." -Jade

Cackling rung. "Huuuh? Actually, yeah, you're right!" He giggled and squeezed in closer into your personal space. "You are such a lost cause, Shrimpy...ya should stick with peeps like me and Jade! Rather just with me, yeah? That admirer-schmirer has been gettin' on my nerves recently and I barely got any time to squeeze you...give up on this landpeople mambo-jambo and stick with me~. -Floyd

At first he blinked in confusion yet his shining grin came a second after. "No way. You're so great! And so interesting and fun and cute!" He almost seemed like his usual self until he noticed who you two were talking about. At that, his grin vanished. "Oh...well, if I can see that, then the admirer totally too! Maybe even more than me since they shower you in so many gifts..." -Kalim

"Well, obviously not since you got a good old secret admirer like from a rom-com." His smile crooked, he hoped you'd at least chuckle but he quickly corrected himself. Best if he doesn't continue to be this nonchalant. "I'm just kidding...though not about you likable. Give yourself more credit...you deserve it." -Jamil

"Huh? What's with that...self-pityin' party - I mean, as in, that ain't true. Yer a...fine and dandy person, I mean - why wouldn'tcha be??? That kinda talk is only gonna bring you down and yer better than that. Far, far, better. Hell, you got a flyin' mirror-" -Epel

Laughter echoed and you weren't sure if it was mocking at first. "Cher Trickster, could it be that these grande professions of love are not enough?! How can you still not see that you are the apple of someone's eye? Not even I could top that! Tell me, my dear, shall I be your second admirer to prove to you how lovely you are?" -Rook

He raised a brow. "Bring me my phone for a second. Should we go over the amount of attention I get from millions of people and compare them to the over-the-top admiration of your one and only admirer? They went out of the way to insult me to compliment you. You are someone's diamond, potato." -Vil

For a moment you wondered if he even heard you. Staying still as a candle, he tried his best to avoid your gaze while his face was flushed red. "...W-W-W-W-Wha-What do you ask m-me that...??? I-I mean, if there is someone unlikable here it would be m-me...y-y'know...?" He hoped you get what he means. -Idia

"According to data I collected requested by big bro - I mean, happened to collect, there is a 0000000.01% chance that you are unbelievable, unequally unlikable." -Ortho

"You think so?" He scratched his chin, "That kind of mindset is not going to get you far. In fact, I believe you do not understand how much comfort you bring by your mere presence. If you doubt it, I can always remind you of it." -Malleus

Laughing, he slapped his knee. "Seriously? You get the exact cookie-cutter version of a highschool secret admirer sweetheart! I read those in old-school manga! And you still doubt that?" He sighs, "Trust me, be a bit more confident. Amazing things can happen if you let them." -Lilia

"Hm? But...you are being admired. By afar, by someone who truly seems to treasure you. You are like a treasure if you see it that way...ah, nevermind me. Please, believe in yourself more. I do." -Silver
