All through his gym session Azriel couldn’t stop thinking about what you said about having your own space in the house. The smiles plastered on Rhys and Cassian’s faces were like children just being told to go crazy in a toy store. They pounced on their brother, pulling him into a bone crushing hug as they excitedly talked over each other.

When Azriel came back to the room he found you brushing your hair in the bathroom. He stopped in the doorway. Thinking of all your stuff permanently placed on the counter next to his. How his home, your home, wouldn’t feel so empty anymore with you sharing his space.

You catch him staring in the mirror above the sink. The love sick, dreamy look on his face makes you smile. “What?”

Azriel comes up behind you wrapping his arms around your middle, burying his face in your neck. You place your hands on his arms leaning into him. “Az,” you say softly.

“Yeah.”

“You’re sweaty.”

He looks up to see you trying to hold back your laugh. Azriel hugs you tighter and kisses your cheek.

You stay like that for a few moments. Taking in each other's presence. Azriel lets go, turning you to face him. He brings those beautifully scarred hands up to cup your cheeks.

Before he can second guess himself Azriel asks you the question that’s been on his mind all morning, “Will you move in?”

Your eyes go wide. “I-what? Are you sure?” Azriel playfully rolled his eyes at you. “Yes. I want you here, love. Now please say yes,” he pleaded with you.

“Yes,” you said with silver lined eyes. Pulling Azriel closer you crashed your lips against his in celebration.

Over the next two weeks Azriel helped you move from your apartment into the mansion. Cassian and Rhys were more than happy to lend a hand as well. Watching those three move boxes (especially Az) had you practically drooling.

Capricorns are known for having to mature quicker than others because of responsibilities. Now he could’ve had an erratic home life he could’ve moved around a lot & moved far away at a young age since Venus is in the 9th. There is a lot of mars masculine energy here so he likes chaos/excitement in his home also lots of sporty/action stuff around the house I feel like when he first met bts it was like his first taste of freedom in a way. That is so harsh when you miss out on the event SSR at the 100th pull!  It’s not yet happened to me, but I’ve been taken to 100 a few times. (Lilia twice!  That scamp!)  I’m just glad EN is getting the 200 pull guarantee before Glorious Masquerade!

The most interesting thing about this goodwill dance business was meeting students from other campuses.  You hadn’t felt that way in the beginning but, as they spent more time at NRC, you’d gotten used to seeing them around.  Once their bizarre attention toward you cooled off, you found it refreshing to interact with new people, especially the girls from Fair Maiden Academy.  There were just things you could talk about to girls that you’d never dare bring up to the guys.

“Ooh, you know what might be fun?” you begin saying to your new friends from FMA, “We could go over the courtyard at Pomefiore.  They have this well there that is perfect for shouting wishes into!”  Your friend Ace would have laughed right in your face had you said something sappy like that to him but the girls of FMA were another story.  “Really?  Oh my!  That does sound fun!” one of the girls exclaimed.  “I just love making wishes,” sighed another girl in a dreamy tone.  So, you accompanied the gaggle of girls to the wishing well to deliver your wishes to.

When you arrived, one particularly silly girl asked if you intended to make a wish.  “Oh, I don’t know…” you trailed off.  The girls gathered around and insisted that you were the only one who could properly demonstrate how to use the wishing well.  “Oh please, Prefect,” crooned the silly girl, “I think it would be so educational for us to see how YOU deliver your wish.”  Oh, you’d forgotten how intensely interested people were in you, what you thought and what you did.  “Ah, I guess so,” you awkwardly replied with a hand on your head.  So, you approached the well and made whatever nonsense wish came to mind, “I wish Grim would remember to brush his teeth after eating stinky foods.” 

It was a foolish wish, but all your new friends nodded and said what a wise and useful wish it was.  “Oh,” said the silly girl, “I wish I could make such a sensible wish, but I know I’ll just end up spoiling mine on frivolous things like True Love!”  You shake your head with an exasperated smile, “There is nothing wrong with True Love.  In fact, I think that is a perfectly nice wish.”  You yourself had enjoyed a daydream or two since you’d arrived in TWST.  How could you not when it was inhabited by boys handsome enough to be characters in a game.  There were times when you felt like getting closer to one or another, but you always held it in.  After all, you were a player of a game, and they were game characters; the whole thing was just strange.  That didn’t stop you from enjoying a look now and again.

Emboldened by your support, the silly girl went up to the well and made her wish for true love.  “I wish, for the one I love, to find me today.”  You smiled kindly at the girl and gestured for her to step back only… “And!  And!  …I want him to be at least 180 cm tall with an air of nonchalance!  Ohh, oh!  And healthy and lustrous skin, you know?  He’d look at me with those lidded eyes and give a charming smile.  I’d be mesmerized by his bright and shimmering hair before being captivated by his lips, so arresting that you just have to kiss them!  From head to toe, the Perfect Prince!”  Then she backs away from the well, holds both hands to her chest and makes a screaming sound you could only label as a squeal.  It was rather shocking.

“Ooookay,” you trail off with a wide-eyed stare.  That was a little much for you but no one else seemed particularly bothered by it.  The other girls took their turn whispering their wishes into the well and hearing their dearest dreams echo back to them.  You smiled at each of them as they wished but truly you were distracted.  Something about this whole thing was itching at the back of your mind.  It felt like you were overlooking something important.  It was an unsettling feeling that caused you to beg off on your friends when the wishing was done.  You left to walk home alone and think about what you had missed.

You arrived back home at Ramshackle dorm and entered the foyer.  You shrugged off your jacket and took off your shoes.  When you pass into the living room, a voice greets you from above.  “Hi guys,” you smile up at the floating inhabitants of the dorm.  You plopped down on the sofa and spaced out.  Something about this felt familiar.  You, Ramshackle, ghosts…YOU, RAMSHACKLE AND GHOSTS!  How could you have forgotten the Ghost Bride?  She burst onto campus and declared Idia of all people was her perfect prince.  She had a long list of ridiculous requirements he supposedly met, and those requirements reminded you unsettlingly of the wish your silly friend from FMA had made. 

It was just a coincidence, right?  That couldn’t happen again, could it?  You pictured Idia at the dance being cornered by a crazed extroverted girl shouting and squealing about her perfect prince.  It was an unsettling idea.  Idia would freak out and his hair would go crazy; everyone would stare, and it would only get worse.  What sort of impression of NRC would that leave?  Plus, you’d hate to admit it, but you were sort of fond of the shy dorm leader of Ignihyde.  Fine, you would just have to play the knight and rescue this unusual ‘damsel in distress.’ 

Your plan was simple, you’d find Idia and keep him away from the girls of FMA.  It shouldn’t be hard with the way Idia would avoid crowds.  Maybe he wouldn’t even be here tonight, you think as you scan over the ballroom venue.  The gardens were lovely and the magically created dance floor the Third-Years made was glowing in the moonlight.  But that wasn’t the only thing glowing.  There was a blue glow coming from a distant alcove and it appeared you weren’t the only one who’d noticed.  “Wow, your hair is so bright,” the silly girl from FMA said moving deeper into an alcove hidden from your view.  “I insist on a dance!” you shout as you run over, pushing past the FMA girl.  When you round the corner though, you are stopped in your tracks as you see Ortho floating in the alcove.  “Oh,” you stammer lamely, “I thought you were Idia.” 

Ortho looks at you happily and exclaims, “You were looking for my brother, Prefect?  He’ll be so happy!  He is quite the fan!”  The confused FMA academy girl just looks on with a little smile, “What now?”  You laugh and wave your hand in front of your face, “Ah, it was just a misunderstanding.”  The girl smiles and gestures to Ortho, “I found my prince!  He’s a little young but I’ve waited this long!”  Then with a smile she turns back to Ortho and swings him around in a simple dance step.  You embarrassingly hurry away but by the time you reach the end of the alcove, a voice reaches you, “He is in his room, Prefect.  He couldn’t make himself come.  I think he’d like it if you’d visit him though.  He was looking forward to seeing you in your formal wear.  He said he had to get a glimpse of a rare event costume if it was the last thing he did.”

You left the alcove and smiled politely at those watching you exit with interest.  Everyone seemed to want a piece of your attention tonight.  The disappointed looks when you turned down a dance or offer of a drink tugged on your conscience, but you really didn’t feel like risking some event trigger in the middle of this huge dance.  The last thing you need is to start some random isekai event like ‘I met the crown prince at the party’ or whatever.  Avoiding everyone was causing you such stress though, that you suddenly realized that you’d rather just leave early.  So, you quietly back around a corner and slide through a door into a classroom hallway.  Once out of view, you took off running toward main street and away from the trials of Crowley’s party.  At the end of Main Street, you passed the mirror chamber.  Here you hesitate, inside was a path that would take you to Ignihyde, if you choose.  You had no obligation to go, and you were tired, yet you still found your gaze locked on the doorway.  You laugh to yourself, ‘Well, here it is, the time to make a route decision, after all.’

You knocked on the door but there was no answer.  Of course, there wasn’t an answer. This was Idia, he wasn’t about to answer the door.  You tried the knob and surprisingly the door opened.  Inside, Idia was playing a dancing rhythm game with a set of headphones on.  He was so focused on the game that you were able to take several steps inside the room before he noticed you.  When he did, he quickly flung off the headphones and seemed to cower in on himself, “Ahhhk!”  You look at him curiously, waiting for him to ask why you were there or order you to leave his room, but he doesn’t say anything.  Finally, you tilt your head towards the screen, “I love this game.  May I have the next dance?”  He still did not speak but the expression he makes causes you to think, ‘That silly FMA girl was right, he does have a charming smile.’

Idia felt like he’d passed the night in a dream.  He hadn’t needed to attend that awful extrovert torture they called a dance and he’d gotten to see the rare Player Formalwear in person.  Not only that but he’d had a dance (several even!) with the Player.  He felt like this dream would end come morning, so he had to make the most of this magical night.  “Th.there is another game I like.  We..we could play it…IF YOU WANT!”  You looked at him encouragingly, “Sure, what sort of game is it?”  He feels a wave of euphoria wash over him that you hadn’t immediately rejected him, “Oh, it’s a great game made for two.  You can be my Player 2, if that’s ok.”  The sweet smile you gave him when you accepted was all he needed.  He’ll save the video feed of tonight and replay this voice clip on repeat tomorrow.  “Sure Idia, I’ll be your Player 2.”

James watches as the Longbottoms take the floor for their first dance, an Elvis Presley song emanating from the speakers.

“Wise men say only fools rush in…”

“Well, we made it.”

His attention turns away from the swaying couple as he glances to his left, seeing one of Alice’s bridesmaids—the one he had escorted down the aisle—sipping a wine glass with a dreamy look on her face, her green eyes staring ahead of them.

“Did we?”

Her gaze flickers up to him with a mischievous smile and he feels a swooping sensation in his stomach. He had gotten into town late last night—he’d missed the pre-wedding events yesterday and was suddenly immensely regretting the missed opportunity for more time spent with—

Oh bugger, he can’t even remember her name. The wedding coordinator had just told him where to stand, who to partner, and he’d followed orders obediently (for once in his life). He had walked with her, posed beside her in the pictures, and he didn’t even know her bloody name.

“We got them both down the aisle, no interruptions,” she says, and when she tilts her head to the side, he watches as a few face-framing red curls brush along her cheek. “The dances are the last, you know, important things.” She takes another sip and James is ashamed with the amount of attention he affords her lips. “After this it’s just…fun with no pressure.”

He feels his lips twitch with a smile. “I’m sorry, was there ever any doubt that those two wouldn’t go through with it?” he asks, nodding at the couple on the dancefloor. “I don’t know about Alice, but Frank had whatever the opposite of cold feet is. There were a few times he was just so ready for the ceremony he wanted to just….go wait at the altar.”

As he talks, her eyes swing back to the dancefloor to appraise the newlyweds, and he feels silly for missing the attention of her gaze. “That’s so sweet.”

The two of them stand there in silence for a few more lines of the song, watching the couple sway, until Alice begins waving to someone behind them and he feels a tug on his hand. Blinking in surprise, he sees her smiling at him—eyes glittering in amusement as she leads him to the dancefloor and places her empty glass on a table. In the corners of his vision he can see the other members of the wedding party following suit—some together and some with their own partners—and as they reach the clearing and arms wrap around shoulders and hands sit on hips, the woman rises onto her tiptoes to whisper:

“Alice was worried too much attention would be overwhelming and wanted us to come in after the chorus. They mentioned it at the rehearsal yesterday.”

James nods, a little stunned at the proximity, at the combination of the feeling of her breath on his cheek and the material of her dress under the palms of his hands. “Ah, I wasn’t at the rehearsal.”

Her laugh is gentle, her smile genuine as she pulls away to look at him. “I’m aware. Trust me.”

The words aren’t a dig. He doesn’t fully understand the tone behind them, but he catches the way her green eyes flicker to his mouth before meeting his gaze, catches the way her cheeks flush when she realizes he sees.

“I’m James, by the way,” he mutters, something hopeful knotting itself in his stomach.

“Lily.”

.⁠｡⁠*⁠♡ A/N: Apparently I'm back at my Barb phase wkjdisns, why is he so gorgeous? It's so unfair, he should be here giving me cuddles y'know (⁠๑⁠♡⁠⌓⁠♡⁠๑⁠). Darling, It took me a while to write this but I hope the delay is worth it and you like it.

"Just be honest." Diavolo advised. There was an expectant rush of happiness in his tone of voice as he saw that the two people he loved most in the world were in love with each other, he was as happy as a little boy about to eat ice cream or receive a long-awaited present. Diavolo was so happy that for several minutes he was talking nonstop about how touched he would be if you and Barbatos got married - yes, married, Diavolo had already blessed this union.

Your brother rested his hands on your shoulders to encourage you further, his yellow eyes focusing on the abandoned paper on his desk. "I'm sure he feels the same way, so write about how you feel about him."

Perhaps he felt the same. Barbatos had a gentle smile under his lips whenever he greeted you and served you tea, the serene green hue of his eyes shining so bright every time you walked into the same room as him that you could see yourself reflected in them. You let out a dreamy sigh thinking of the rare smile that graced his lips, the soft laugh, the perfect mannerisms that made you chuckle. In every way you loved him.

Still, you were afraid. You feared his reactions, his rejection and with fear, your hands were shaking, the ink dripping from the quill you used to write. You looked at your brother as if he had all the answers to your doubts. "He's our butler, what if he finds it inappropriate because of my status and doesn't want to get into a relationship to save my reputation?"

"Don't worry about that. Just be honest about your feelings." Diavolo encouraged once more, patting your shoulder affectionately as he sat down opposite your to work on his paperwork. Without the pressure or silly comments, you felt relaxed in your chair enough to be able to coherently think of what to write.

"Okay, don't think, just write..."

Just write about his eyes you could get lost in them, just write about those plump lips you wanted to kiss and nibble and feel on your skin, just write about the smell of his perfume that made you almost go up the walls and melt, just write about his hugs, which despite being rare, were comfortable and turned you into jelly. The hand holding the feather swam across the page, forming letters and sentences and you didn't think of anything but putting all your feelings there, it felt so right.

And you would have continued if not for a shadow draping over your shoulders like a cape, bringing all your movements to a halt.

"My liege, it might be wise to take a break from your affairs if the furious way you've written a letter is any indication." It was Barbatos. Barbatos was just inches away from reading the shameful things you wrote about him. You felt your whole face burn with embarrassment.

You laid your body on the table, not bothering to check if the ink on the paper was dry, just to hide the shameful confession you wrote so diligently just a few minutes ago. Looking at Barbatos, you felt almost like a child exploring the world around him and without him even knowing it, he had a big effect on you.

He had an effect on you when you first saw him and he has an effect on you now. He would always have an effect on you.

You looked at him deeper, wondering what his reaction would be if you just had the necessary courage, if only you could shake off your shyness and shout out to him and everyone who might hear how much you loved him and would take good care of him if he were yours. But you didn't, your gaze falling to Diavolo's direction.

Your brother, your good brother who gave you peggyback rides when you were a child, who woke you up on Christmas morning to open your presents together and your brother who never had breakfast when you weren't there, was absent from his own office. You hadn't even noticed the moment he left, there wasn't even a single sound to indicate that and then, you looked back at Barbatos.

He was still smiling, looking curious at whatever made you act so silly. But he didn't look like he would broach the subject, not wanting to be impolite.

And you loved his consideration.

You took a deep breath under Barbatos' attentive gaze, turned completely towards him, and pushed the letter into his hands. It was simple, innocent, and filled with your feelings, and you looked away.

You couldn't bear the suspense, your heart beating so fast in your chest that you felt like you would faint at any moment and wake up only in a few millennia.

You couldn't see him, but you could hear his breath becoming faster, you could imagine the surprise in his eyes, the subtle change in his demeanor. You couldn't resist and turned back just to look over your shoulder; a mistake.

Barbatos was smiling.

He was smiling.

Your heart pounded so hard in your chest that for a second you were worried about having a heart attack, dramatically placing a hand on your chest and letting out a long sigh.

And he laughed, seeming to know exactly what he was doing to you. Seeming to enjoy what he was doing to you.

"You don't have to go so far for me, my liege," The humble butler declared, a mischievous smile on his perfect, rosy lips. "However, I dare say that my feelings are reciprocal on my part. They always have been, they always will be."

He stared at you when he didn't get a reaction. But the gears in your head kept spinning and spinning, and they didn't seem like they would be able to stop spinning for a second. He liked you too!

Your eyes widened as you processed that and you took his hands in yours, the fabric of the gloves he wore being bathed with the sweat of your eager hands.

"Really?" Confirmation was all you needed at that moment. And he nodded.

If you weren't holding his hands now, maybe he would have tried to kneel at your feet and ask for forgiveness for such audacity, but instead, he entered your personal space, his face hovering just mere centimeters away.

"May I kiss you, my liege?"

You look at him, your eyes shining with warm, good feelings. And Barbatos returns the gaze, another uncharacteristic smile forming on his lips as his hands delicately hold your face.

"You are special to me, I want you to know that," he whispers.

The two of you slowly lean in, your faces almost touching. And you slowly close your eyes, while the man you gave your heart to gently caresses your cheek and peppers your entire face with slow kisses. With an eager sigh, after a few seconds Barbatos leans in and places a soft kiss on your lips.

It's innocent in the first few seconds, but enough to take your breath away. And then your mouth moves in sync with Barbatos', and everything becomes a beautiful mess that makes your stomach churn and your heart skip a beat, and you feel euphoric.

Time seems to stand still around the two of you. After the brief moment, you pull away, but continue to look at each other with a glimmer of happiness in your eyes.

Perhaps all the anxiety was worth it. He loved you, and you loved him, and that was all that mattered.

Antichristmas

A Sandman / Good Omens crossover, with Dream x reader of course 

Merry Christmas and Happy Yule !

When Morpheus had met Y/N, he had felt that there was something special about her, but he had been unable to say what.

Maybe her soft laugh, her beaming smile, her clever mind. At first, after being unable not to think of her for several days, he had called Desire, to check that it was not one of their games to torment him.

But no, Y/N was simply a human that he liked, who charmed him even more after he invited her to his kingdom and that she got along with all his subjects. But it was against the rules for an Endless to associate with a mortal, so Morpheus had made the wise decision to have the happiness of her company only as a friend.

He didn't tell her right away who he was, what he was, afraid that she wouldn't want to see him anymore, but he was pleasantly surprised to receive a smile when he confessed the truth to her. He loved her even more then, suffering from not being able to confess his feelings to her.

           "I don't see why you two couldn't be together, boss."

           "Quiet, Matthew." Lucienne mumbled, trying to scare the raven away. "Those are the rules, Lord Morpheus has no choice."

           "It's stupid, he loves her, and I think she loves him too, I don't see where the harm is."

           "Mervyn, I believe there are still repairs to be done in the west wing of the castle."

           "But he's right, Loosh. It's not fair. Boss, it's not fair. !"

           "Life is unfair." sighed Morpheus as he surveyed his kingdom. "But that's the way it is. I have responsibilities, and I won't put my world, or the waking world, in jeopardy, because of a foolish passion. I've made that mistake once before, I know how that risk of ending."

Dream had a quick thought for Nada. His dear Nada, whom he had loved tenderly and who was now locked up in Hell. Even if he decided to forgive her, he couldn't get her out so easily, especially not after his fight with Lucifer.

Above all, he didn't want such a fate to happen to Y/N. He would not punish her if she pushed him away, he had changed since that time, he himself had been locked up, but if he broke the ban, the Kindly Ones could demand that he send his beloved to the depths of darkness, so that he understands that he had no right to be with her.

He therefore acted reasonably, and one day had the unpleasant surprise of finding Y/N in the company of a demon.

           "Oh. Hello... My lord." the snake demon hissed, lowering his head in front of him, forcing himself to smile while turning to Y/N.

           "Morpheus, this is my uncle Crowley. Well, he's not really my uncle, but I've known him since I was born."

           "Please tell me your "dear new dreamy friend" is not in front of me right now."

           "Don't growl, Uncle Crowley. No need to be anxious. Like about next week."

           "It's perfectly normal for me to be nervous about next week. This holiday... It's ridiculous. Even you should find it ridiculous. Christmas... I forbid you to celebrate it !"

           "That would be ironic and petty of me." Y/N sneered, kissing the demon on the cheek, before taking Morpheus' hand, to guide him down the street, to the cinema where they had a friendly date.

This was the first sign that greatly disturbed the master of dreams and nightmares, convinced that Lucifer was going to try to attack him by attacking Y/N.

The second sign came very quickly, when he was invited to his friend's house a few days later. As he stood in the entrance, he came face to face with a hellhound, a repulsive, dangerous, evil beast.

Except that Y/N didn't seem to see what he was seeing, kneeling beside the creature to hug it, while it was licking her face.

           "Hello, little pooch. Yes, I've missed you too. You've been good ? This is Morpheus, my friend. You're nice to him, okay ?"

           "... Where did you find that... thing ?"

           "Dog ? He was the one who found me. It's been a while now, he's not very young, but he's really adorable. Crowley keeps him from time to time. My other uncle doesn't like him a lot. I can't blame him for that, Dog can be complicated."

A third sign not seeming necessary, Morpheus took the decision to intervene directly in order to avoid a catastrophe.

Of course, if he didn't want to start a war, he couldn't destroy the demon or destroy the hound, so he locked the animal in a nightmare, and he calmly went to order this Crowley to stay away from Y/N if he didn't want to get in trouble.

Contrary to what he had thought, the young woman was not really grateful when she learned what he had done.

           "Uncle Crowley called me to say that you threatened him, and took my dog ! And before you went and yelled at him, you said he couldn't come near me anymore, you didn't mention the phones, so you have no right to blame him !"

           "Y/N, you have to understand, he's a demon. He's dangerous. And your dog isn't a dog, he's a hound from hell. I think they're trying to harm me in hurting you, and I refuse to let that happen. I'll get you another dog. Christmas is tonight after all."

           "But I don't want another dog ! Look... I get what's going on, and I think it's lovely that you want to protect me, but Dog won't hurt me, and neither will Crowley. Yes, they are demons, but they are nice !"

           "Demons are not nice." he insisted, taking her hand, hoping that she would listen to him. "It's in their nature to be evil and cruel. They can't change that, and they don't want to either. They were made that way and nothing can ever change that, they can't be trusted. They need to get them back where they came from as soon as possible."

Again, this didn't seem to have the effect Morpheus was hoping for. Y/N suddenly looked terribly hurt, her eyes filling with tears and she pulled her hand from his before running off.

Thinking that the grip of the infernal forces was already very strong on her, he returned to Crowley's place, where he was surprised to find an angel.

           "Hello, gracious Dream Lord. I'm Aziraphale, a friend of... I know Crowley, a bit. He explained to me that there were some issues between you, him, and Y/N."

           "You know Y/N ?"

           "Of course, she's my niece. We were her godparents at first, but I found the joke a little too offensive after some time."

           "I do not understand." Morpheus said slowly with a threatening voice, his shadow then filling the whole room. "You know there's a demon lurking around an innocent human, and you are not interfering ?"

           "A... Oh damn it. She didn't tell you ? She said she was going to tell you about it, what happened ? I'm sure you did something stupid, you're known for that. Without wanting to offend you."

           "Speak."

           “Y/N is not an innocent human. I mean, yes, she is, but she wasn't supposed to be. She is... the Antichirst. Crowley and I had been tasked by our respective camps to watch her, but we didn't want the world to be destroyed, nor did we want this lovely child to be unhappy, so we showed her another way, and now, even though she has certain powers, her dog is from hell, and she could still cause the Apocalypse, she's only Y/N, my sweet, lovely Y/N. Please tell me you didn't upset her, or hurt her."

The mistake, or rather the mistakes of Morpheus were all then obvious to him. The christmas jokes. The presence of a hound from hell, like the one who was to join the Antichrist on the day of the end of the world.

And above all, Y/N's sad look, when he said that demons couldn't change. That they were evil, untrustworthy, and had to be cast out. If he thought that of the creatures of hell, what would he think of the Antichrist ? Could he believe she wasn't evil ?

Without taking the time to greet the angel, he used his sand to appear in Y/N's apartment. The poor darling was crying on her couch. She didn't jump when she saw him, wiping away her tears as she stared at him with contempt.

           "What now ?"

           "I spoke with your other uncle."

           "Aziraphale ? And what did you talk about ?"

           "He explained everything to me."

           "Oh. I see. And you came to send me to hell, me, the Adversary, the Beast, who doesn't deserve to live ?"

           "No. No, I came to apologize."

Slowly, Morpheus reached into his long cloak, and stepping into the darkness, he dragged the hound out. The creature growled when he put it on the ground, before seeing its mistress, barking happily as it ran towards her to jump on her lap, licking her face and wagging its tail. Like a real dog, a nice normal dog.

This made Y/N smile, cry a little more, cuddling the animal.

           "I thought... I thought you were in danger. I apologize. I'll also go ask forgiveness from the demon Crowley, for this misunderstanding."

           "I don't know if Uncle Crowley will brag about it for eternity or if he'll be afraid his side will think he's definitely betrayed them." she sneered, before looking sad again. "Dream... About what you said..."

           "I was wrong. It was unfair and cruel."

           "I know. It's fine. Your brother warned me."

           "My brother ?" he asked, raising an eyebrow, surprised that Destiny could have gotten involved in something.

           "Destruction. He came to see me after I didn't cause the Apocalypse. He said it was normal for Destruction to come and talk to the Destroyer of Worlds at least once. He wanted to thank me and congratulate me. He said that my choice reassured him, showing him that he might have taken the right direction, by leaving, even if it had hurt his family and they still did not understand it. He advised me to be patient if I used to meet them, because they could be a bit stupid and judgmental."

Not knowing what to say, Morpheus said nothing. He still found it difficult to talk about his brother and the decision he had made.

It was true that he did not understand.

But that didn't mean he was judging Y/N. He was not unhappy that the world had not been destroyed, and so he was grateful to her that she had not followed the path that Lucifer had wanted for her.

A path that had allowed them to meet. Even though she was his enemy's daughter, she was different. And she wasn't human. And she was in no danger of being sent to hell, where she couldn't be locked up anyway, since she was born to reign there.

           "So... Now that you've apologized and aren't going to curse me, what do we do ?" she asked looking at him with mischievous eyes.

           "I thought we could go for a walk, stargaze, and celebrate Christmas."

           "It's an idea. Although Uncle Crowley will be furious. He says I only have the right to celebrate Antichristmas. Don't sigh, it's his joke, and I think it's not that terrible, whatever Aziraphale thinks about it."

Morpheus sighed anyway, reaching out her hand to help her up and guide her outside. As they were about to leave, he looked up to find a sprig of mistletoe hanging from the door. He looked at Y/N, who had followed his gaze.

           "That's not me." she said quickly looking around. "Nor my uncles."

           "No. I know who did this." Dream muttered seeing Matthew sitting on a tree, proud of himself.

           "Well. I don't celebrate Christmas, but tradition is tradition."

           "Indeed, you always have to respect the rules."

The hound and the raven made little sounds of joy as they kissed, before heading back inside, forgetting about the ride, the stars, Antichristmas and the rest of the universe.
