How to Build the Woman You Want to be - 3

In the first part, we talked about ideation. Who is your ideal self?

In the second part, we talked about executing. How do we reach your ideal self?

In this part, we’ll discuss failures, missing goals or having a burnout, and structuring your routine.

Start every single day reading your New Story. You could even record yourself saying it and play it in the background while getting ready for the day. It is so important that you have to start believing in your improved self and start behaving that way.

If you can listen to Taylor Swift’s 10 minute version of All Too Well in one go, you can listen to 3 minutes of your New Story everyday.

You will not be able to be “her” if you do not start living, eating, breathing, sleeping like her.

While you work on yourself, remember these things:

First of all, none of your goals should be exhaustive in nature. If you’re new to working out, don’t work out for one hour - start with 20 minutes. Work your way up. Take as much time as needed but you need to be consistent.

Two, allow yourself to have a certain number of rest/ lazy days in a month. I limit myself to 3 because of my tight work schedule, but in my opinion, don’t go more than 5. When you use these, use them fully. Allow yourself to be completely relaxed- don’t feel guilty or bad. We all need those days.

Three, it’s fine to not reach all your monthly targets. What’s not fine is making excuses about them or not taking accountability.

“I missed my reading target because I would read after work, and I soon realised how tired I would be after getting home. To solve this issue next month, I’ll start my day reading 5 pages instead.”

Show yourself accountability and honesty. Offer yourself an alternative solution.

Four, do not compare progress to someone else.

Everyone is different - right from their mental capacity, to their body type, to their discipline. Your friend may show better results than you but that doesn’t mean that you won’t show any. Recognise your own progress and don’t be let down by someone else’s. Show genuine appreciation when your friend meets their goals - and don’t feel threatened by it. Everyone has a pace of progress, and it’s important to find yours in order to live sustainably.

Five, do not get into “get rich quick” type of schemes. I can assure you right now that your little crash diet is not going to work. It’s going to make things worse. Choose a healthier, slower method. Set small, achievable targets. You will thank yourself later.

Six, be honest with yourself about your strengths and weaknesses. Recognise your flaws but also recognise your strengths. It’s not narcissistic to tell yourself that you did well. Build that relationship with yourself.

Seven. Work on yourself in silence. Don’t broadcast your progress to people at every turn. While the external validation is nice, it’s important to be resilient and not be dependent on someone else’s praises. Be more private. Share your progress and goals after achieving them so that they can’t be affected in any way.

Eight. Learn uncomfortable truths about yourself and the world. Understand that not all discomfort is bad.

It was currently summer break the best time of the year in your opinion. You got to spend time with your family and of course your boyfriend Ollie. As you were keeping your relationship out of the public it was very hard for the two of you to find time outside of the track together just the two of you in love. It was a troubling topic, the topic of announcing your relationship as you were already in the public eye because of your brothers you knew the hate their girlfriends received just for being their girl friends. Ollie was so well known in the racing world he was so talented so you knew that there would be a commotion if you and he announced you were dating and that did scare you a little. You weren’t going to lie you were hesitant to even date ollie at first you thought he was so handsome and kind but he was 17 almost turning 18 and you had just turned 16 it’s not that big of a gap but with him turning 18 soon you knew you would get hated on for dating a guy older then you and being labeled to young. Surprisingly the leclerc brothers Arthur Lorenzo and Charles all got used to it pretty quickly and have become supportive of your relationship, at first of course they were hesitant being your brothers and all they didn’t think anyone was good for their little sister especially another driver who could crash at any minute and leave their sister alone in tears. But they liked Ollie, especially Arthur who was very close with him from prema so naturally everyone got along well. You and Ollie had been dating for about 7months now, it may be to early to say but you were definitely in love with the boy. Your family had been kind enough to offer you to bring Ollie along on the family vacation considering that their girlfriends were also going to be their, so you both happily accepted a week in the sun, with your family what could go wrong.

Well……

It was a warm day on the beach, everyone was relaxed and tanned that’s for sure. You were in your floral bikini lying down on a beach towel scrolling through your phone. Ollie was having a dip in the ocean along with your other brothers and a few of the girlfriends but some opted to stay on the sand. As you scrolled through Insta you stopped when you saw the page of a F1gossip sight you normally wouldn’t click on them because you already were involved in the world so you knew the truth and didn’t need to read a page of mostly lies. When you clicked on the page a post captured your eye it was of Ollie so naturally intrigued you took a closer look only to see it was a post about dating rumours with another girl something about her being seen out and about in the Ollie bearmans jumper so they had to be together, she was pretty, really pretty and that did look like his jumper, of course this couldn’t be true he’s with you and all this information is coming from the people who though Fernando and Taylor swift were a thing so it can’t be right, right.

You were to engrossed in the picture that you hadn’t noticed Ollie come out of the water to sit on the towel next to you.

“ the waters amazing, you should come in with me babe” he kissed your cheek

“ hmm” you questioned look up at him

“ I said the waters amazing “

“ that’s nice” you nodded focusing back on your phone

“ ok, hey what’s wrong, you know you can tell me anything” he stroked a piece of your hair back behind your ear.

“ it’s nothing, it’s silly”

“ nothings silly if it’s making you upset, look where we are I can’t have you upset on this beautiful holiday, so tell me”

You couldn’t find the right words to tell him without being upset or offending him so instead you handed him your phone with the post up for him to see.

He took the phone from you a scrolled through the photos and then turned to look at you.

“ babe.. I promise you Im not with that girl , that’s not even my jumper because mine is sitting happily in my wardrobe at home, I promise the only girl I spend my time with is you”

“ I know it just makes me…. I don’t know I just want to be the only girl they ship you with, I know that sounds bad”

EHC feels like a right person, wrong timing type of love, and it suits Mark you know??? Because this feels like meeting them again after years of separating and realizing how much you two had grown!!! that's why second chances exist and Mark will do anything for second chances!!

Huang Renjun ; Gold rush

What must it be like To grow up that beautiful? With your hair falling into place like dominoes

Renjun is evermore-coded even though he's a summer boy. I just think that Renjun suits Gold Rush so much. He's everything and everyone loves loves him so much! Chenle's is just that mixture of fun, youthful, and reminiscing, that's why he's so Long Live-coded!!! I think that Chenle will like Long Live and he's the type to love every moment of his life. Like, he's just there having fun and everything's going on his way. He's energetic too!! The song is very sentimental despite the upbeat instrumental that's why I think it suits Chenle the most.

Park Jisung ; Forever & Always

Jisung is just so fearless-coded! He's very first love-coded with the hint of high school love and domesticity!! that's why forever & always suit him so much. Nostalgic, lively, and one of Taylor Swift's old albums! That's why I feel like loving Jisung is like listening to forever & always. The lyrics feels like a love story of young love which suits Jisung so so much. Clumsy, forgetful, and full of promises.

I'm considering the idea of a yandere cheater in spiderverse. All after reading your Miles G, I confess. Miguel was the first wave, but Hobie and Miles G, hit like a tsunami behind.

I don't ask you to write it. Just babbling about my favs... although there's also Aaron, Peter B, Noir,... I love everyone.

But, but in your yandere expert opinion, who would have the toughest nerve to become a cheater and on top of that, being a yandere about reader? From all the charas into and across the spiderverse.

ALSO, WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE, KINDA FUCK, MARRY, KILL???, Tell me, tell me *googly eyes*

In my "expert" Yandere knowledge (jk 🤣jk🤣) I'd say that 90% of the Spiderverse cast could be "cheater" if they couldn't physically be with the reader. Or if they thought that they don't deserve the reader.

1610-Miles: would never cheat, he'd just sit around mopping and dreaming about the reader. He'd also never really think about not "deserving" the reader. He's a really lonely boy and would latch onto his crush no matter what. He'd also fully believe that he was a better match for them than anyone else. He's also confident enough that he's sure he could protect them against anything.

Pavitr Prabhakar: Would also never cheat. When he's in love he becomes devoted to said person and would do anything for them. Cares for them too much to ever be with anyone else. Also if that person is in love with someone else then he would respect their choice and bottle up his emotions. Laching onto the hope that one day the reader would realize they love him more than their current partner. He's practically the walking embodiment of "You Belong With Me" by Taylor Swift.

Gwen Stacy: Gwen might cheat on the reader if she's trying to distance herself from them. Make them hate her so they leave. But really it's just to protect them, she's fully convinced that she's cursed. Anyone who get's too close to her ends up hurt. So she'll make them leave. Also if her lover is in another dimension then she might go for a relationship in her own dimension just to distract herself from them.

Hobie Brown: Wouldn't mean to cheat. But he might get tempted into having an affair. Nothing serious just something casual. But he tries to keep it a secret from his one true love. Also if Hobie did end up kidnapping the reader and locking them up somewhere then he may have another relationship with someone else. But that person is like a substitute for the reader. He pretends that they are her and that He and the reader are a real couple, but it's actually the other person. Until he can trust the reader enough to take them outside. Does this make sense? I feel like it doesn't make sense.

42- Miles: Will have some causal flings here and there to get their mind off the reader. But also watches them through their window each night. Like he's obsessed but too prideful to fully admit it. If he does kidnap the reader and sees that she's being incompliant. He'll try to make her jealous by going out on cute dates with some other girl. Then showing her pictures. Show her how easily replaceable she is. He'll obviously break her mind until she's begging him not to go out, not to leave her alone. Why is it that every time I write anything for this guy it gets real dark, real quick?

Miguel O'Hara: YES!! THIS MAN IS NOT EMOTIONALLY STABLE. Like he might just make an AI of his lover, talk to her, program her to love him, and convince himself that this is his real lover. If his lover is in another dimension then maybe he'll date someone with certain similar characteristics to her but then kinda get distracted by his duties. He'll just go back lovingly looking at them through a screen.

Peter B: He might get drunk and cheat by accident. But I think that's more something he would have done in the first movie. If the reader is MayDay's mother then no way he's cheating.

Spider Noir: He's too old-fashioned to cheat. He'll treat his lover like a princess. I can't really see him doing anything like that.

Aaron: He might cheat on the reader if he loves her enough. Like his life as the Prowler is dangerous, he knows this. So he'll distract himself with other people as apposed to getting mixed up with the reader and risking their life.

As for me: (I'll do kiss, marry, kill)

MARRY: MIGUEL O'HARA. I AM IN LOVE WITH THIS MAN. He means everything to me😍😍. I just want to be his cute little housewife. Someone he can look forward to coming home to. Plus I'd also try to help him out with his whole Spiderman thing.

KISS: MILES G MORALES (prowler miles) I LOVE HIM SO MUCH!! He also gives me lowkey season 4 Eren vibes from AOT lol.

You smiled to yourself as you popped in your ear buds. It was finally your 'me' time in the day. And to say the least today was exhausting and you needed some music in your life. Excitement rushed through your veins, it was finally time to listen to your favorite album and your favorite artist. You were bubbling with excitement, you just couldn’t wait. You unlocked your phone and tapped on your music app. You scrolled until you found your favorite album. Reputation by Taylor Swift. Out of her discography rep was most definitely your favorite and the best out of her other albums in your honest opinion. It was different and unique from the rest of her work that’s what made it special. Of course the rest of her discography was amazing but this album held a special place in your heart.

This album always pumped you up. It always brought a smile to your face when you were down. When you were sad it made everything better. They say books can take you to magical places but in your case it wasn’t a book, It was Reputation and any of Taylor Swift’s music. Her music was magical in your eyes, her lyrics were like poetry, they’re beautiful. They’re amazing. It’s what got you through the good and bad. But it wasn’t just her music that helped a certain cowboy, helped as well. You blush at the thought of your boyfriend, he always had this effect on you. You tucked a piece of your hair behind your ear, smiling at the thought of your boyfriend. You also couldn’t help but feel excited to see him in the next 30 minutes. Currently it is 2:30 and he said he’d be at your place at 3:00. So you have about 30 minutes to listen to tswift and relax. This sounded perfect. You headed towards your room, you twisted the doorknob and flicked the lightswitch.

Once you stepped into your room you plopped onto your soft, comfy bed. You hit play on Reputation and the first track started to play …Ready for it? The song started to play and after a minute you couldn’t help but move from your bed. It was a difficult move since your covers and pillows were ever so soft and comforted you greatly. But suddenly you were in the mood for a little dance even if you weren’t the best, at the end of the day it was all about having fun. You started to shuffle your feet, a giggle escaped your lips as you continued to shake your hips trying to match the rhythm of the song. Dancing hasn’t always been your forte and you haven’t always enjoyed it but when you're alone and not judged by others it feels good. It also helped you were listening to rep. Suddenly you felt a strong arms wrap around your waist. You squealed in surprise. And you may or may not be very, very ticklish. You whipped your head around to meet a pair of golden eyes. You put a hand over your heart, it raced fast.

You swat his arm, “You scared the crap out of me Jazz.” He chuckled at your response. “Sorry Darlin’ didn’t mean to startle ya.” He smiled dazzlingly at you.

You pulled your earbuds out of your ears to hear him better. You quickly pause your music and toss your phone on your bed. You admired his smile, you could never stay mad at him long.

You shake your head and a small smile graces your face. “I thought you said you wouldn’t be here until 3:00?” You question, raising your eyebrow.

“Sorry darlin’ I missed you too much.”

“You just saw me like an hour ago, you know!”

“Well excuse me darlin’ but I missed you and I’ll take any chance to see you.” You smiled at him like a dork. You blushed and closed the gap between the two of you. You pressed your lips against his cold ones. It made you shiver and yet it was a wonderful feeling. A warm feeling blossomed in your chest as you kissed him. You pulled away and giggled, you looked up at him and you couldn't help but look deep into his honey eyes. He smiled warmly at you, and caressed your cheek. “I also may or may not have felt that you're a bit exhausted and I wanted to do anything to help ya.”

Your heart melts, it's official you have the sweetest boyfriend. “Aww thank you Jasper, that is so sweet and considerate of you. I love you.” He beams and you lean in and hug him tightly.

“May I have this dance?” You smiled at him and took his hand. He pulled his phone out of his pocket and pressed play. The beat of lover came on, it was one of your favorites.

He wrapped his arms around your waist and you rested your hand on his chest. You both swayed together and danced to the slow beat.

You felt glad he came over. He always came when you needed him. It really helped that he could feel what you felt, it may or may not have come in handy at times. He has this wonderful talent of taking away your worries and making everything better. He had the best hugs and always knew the right words to say He really was the perfect boyfriend.

hey i get what youre trying to say with the taylor swift post but as of a few days ago shes trying to sue a college student who posts her (publicly available) flight logs. she very much does not give a shit about her carbon emissions and she shouldn’t be celebrated for her mediocre attempts to seem climate-conscious

I get what you're saying, definitely. I also did actually know about the thing with the college student when I posted that, so I wanted to give some context about why I made that post:

First, I personally didn't view it as celebrating her so much as celebrating progress. I think that if we never acknowledge wins, we'll end up dispirited very quickly

Second, recognizing when people decide to be less shitty is, at least I think, an important carrot in the carrot-and-stick dynamic of using public opinion to influence public figures

Lastly - and this may well be an unpopular opinion - but I don't actually hold her actions re: the college student against her

Why?

Well, for one, it was a cease and desist letter, not an attempted lawsuit. A cease and desist letter isn't legally binding, nor is it the start of a lawsuit - it's more like she's Putting Him On Notice. A cease and desist order can be followed by a lawsuit, if it's ignored, but it doesn't initiate one. Likely Taylor Swift will try several other steps of resolution before actually telling her lawyers to sue this guy, if only because the headlines would Not look good (x, x)

But more than that, I don't hold it against her because when Taylor Swift says that it's a matter of life and death for her, I believe that's very true.

Like, don't get me wrong, I'm not mad about her flight data being up either. And I'm not particularly a fan of Taylor Swift

It came to her in a dream (an embarrassing one, at that), Taylor Swift recalled about the origin of her song, “All You Had To Do Was Stay.” On the cusp of her ascent into stratospheric superstardom with the release of her fifth studio album 1989 in 2014, Swift explained to TIME that in the dream, her ex had come to her front door to get her back, and all she could say back was a high-pitched “Stay.”

“It was almost operatic,” Swift said. “I woke up from the dream, saying the weird part into my phone, figuring I had to include it in something because it was just too strange not to. In pop, it’s fun to play around with little weird noises like that.”

It’s how some of our greatest pop songs have come about: making music out of the weird or the strange. That's why it is all the more surprising that “All You Had To Do Was Stay” has never gotten its due. With the release of Swift’s rerecording of 1989 bringing Taylor’s version of the song, nine years after the original, the time has come to reassess the long underappreciated track.

There’s a science, of course, behind “All You Had To Do Was Stay” and its placement on 1989. The song falls into what Swifties call the “Track Five” factor. If you look at Swift’s albums, the story goes, the fifth track of each one is the saddest and most cathartic of the project—and typically best captures its mood and message. On Fearless, it was “White Horse.” On Speak Now, it was “Dear John” and on Red, “All Too Well.” The list goes on, and for the release of her seventh studio album Lover (with “The Archer” as track five), Swift acknowledged the clear pattern.

Contrary to popular opinion, this is also true of “All You Had To Do Was Stay.” It’s one of the saddest songs in Swift’s discography, but it’s created in a way that feels foreign to those who have been following her music since she cried tears on her guitar. In fact, it’s worth asking if it’s a strategic move for the self-proclaimed “mastermind” of subtext.

Saying so long to the country darling we once knew, 1989 marked Swift’s entry squarely into the pop arena. We heard inklings of this in Red two years prior, but this time, the shift in sound was unmistakable: Swift was charting a path toward a kind of pop stardom where her music was going to become ubiquitous and permeable—heard in your bedroom, your mom’s car, or even on the dance floor.

In many ways, this album was meant to be a light-hearted pop forward soundtrack to Swift’s life. “Shake It Off” and “Blank Space” were devil-may-care responses to the media circus and Swift’s romantic throes while “Welcome to New York” was a gleeful proclamation of young adulthood and finding one’s footing in a world that is electric and full of possibility. Even the most pointed of songs, “Bad Blood,” still feels coy and playful. But as any Swiftie knows, you can never have fun without the pain. And that’s where “All You Had To Do Was Stay” plays its critical role.

Perhaps that’s part of the brilliance of 1989, but also of Swift’s mastery. Behind the pulsing synths, drum pads, and processed backing vocals, lyrically, the story she’s trying to tell is just as vulnerable, relatable, and cutting. “People like you always want back the love they pushed aside. But people like me are gone forever when you say goodbye”—a line that lands with a sinister calm before an explosive “stay!” carries us into the chorus. There, with brutal honesty, Swift battles how complicated breakups can be: how you might hate someone and still want them back. How people inflict their deepest wounds on each other despite their best intentions. And how you can dance through the sadness and feel release—from that person and sometimes, even, from yourself.

Catharsis comes in many forms and from places where you’d least expect. Sometimes it’s tender and quiet. But it can also be loud and raise hell. With “All You Had To Do Was Stay,” Swift made clear that catharsis in the form of the latter was OK—that loudness and spectacle is OK. The song’s drama, sharp storytelling, and dreamlike quality are unmistakably Swiftian. At the same time, it shows the beauty of how pop music works: How weird and crazy sounds and your most embarrassing stories and dreams can be operatic and accessible. If only you give yourself enough room to lean into it and dance.

hi babes! this, as you can see, is not a fic based on any of the (!!) absolutely amazing requests you have sent me, which i will be working on tomorrow. it is tho something i started writing about a month ago and finished tonight. do let me know your opinion on this piece, i’m always open to feedback! apologies if i made any mistakes in this fic, english isn’t my first language

also don’t get fooled by the title this isn’t based off the taylor swift song, although there is a couple references to her music :)

summary: Your mate, Azriel, finds you walking back from work in a storm after overworking, yet again.

The streets of Velaris were covered in rain and, as you stared through the window at the way the water seemed to put a glow off the pavement, all you wanted to do was to finally be over with the paperwork and get to bed. You’ve been a part of the inner circle for over five hundred years now, as you joined it at the same time as Mor - after the incident in Autumn. Your job always has been dealing with paperwork, because you all in all weren’t the one to fight, or go to missions, really.

After a while you decided it was time to get home, and looking at the clock you realized it was nearly midnight. Turns out walking home in a literal storm, while being excruciatingly exhausted, is not a nice experience, to say the least. But through the mist and your state of being-half-asleep you managed to make out a winged figure landing just in front of you. After hearing him say your name, you all but collapsed into his arms. He chuckled.

“Tired, my love?” You looked up at him, humming, and a frown appeared on his face. “You shouldn’t overwork yourself like that” he sounded worried and a smile was threatening to show on your face “What, are you worried about me, shadowsinger?” Azriel was still frowning so you continued “Whatever are you doing here anyway?”

Before you could even blink he picked you up and as you screamed in surprise he said “Taking you home” his voice was deep and low, yet somehow loud enough to tear through the sound of wind surrounding the two of you.

You got to the House of Wind, where you’d been living recently, and you readied yourself for Azriel to put you down, but when he didn’t you looked up just to see him completely unphased, as if unaware of your stare. His hold on you was firm, yet still gentle, as if afraid that you would disappear from his arms if he didn’t hold you close enough.

He placed you down on the bed and as you opened your mouth to say something, you heard his warm voice “I will run you a bath” he said as he headed for the bathroom “Oh, no you don’t have to it’s-” “I want to. You’re awfully exhausted, sweetheart, and you look as though you’re about to pass out. I wish to take care of you, if you’ll let me” You stared at him with wide eyes, and all you saw in his was care and love. He walked up to you, kissed your forehead and entered the bathroom. You felt your heart warm up, blood rushing to your cheeks and you realized how lucky you are to have this. How grateful and content you are with the life you got to live. You thought about the spymaster in the room next to you, and unconsciously, you smiled. Because you’ve waited your entire life for him, for your mate, and for that romance novel kind of love.

Soon enough however, your trail of thought was interrupted “May I expect you to come here tonight, love?” Azriel said in a teasing tone, and you looked up to see him leaning against the doorway, yet you didn’t meet his playful stare, instead deciding to settle your eyes on the smile on his lips “Whatever could be going through that mind of yours?” you met his gaze smirking as you replied “You hope it’s you, do you not?” “It’s the only thing I dare to dream about” You shook your head, hiding the blush that threatened to slip onto your cheeks, and entered the bathroom.

The sight awaiting you there made your heart warm. Azriel had run you a bath, he even used all your favorite scented oils. You turned to send a tired smile his way, and started undressing yourself. He however crossed the room in three strides and helped you unbuttoning your shirt

“So fond of the idea of taking my clothes off?” you teased but he, without stopping the swift movements of his hands said “Always am, love” you rolled your eyes, but as he was done and offered a hand to help you into the bath, you took it, your eyes never leaving his. Twin flames, souls, and four hazel eyes. You got comfortable, basking in the hot water and Azriel’s contrasting cool shadows delicately caressing the skin on your neck and cheeks. The window was very slightly opened, the cold midnight air flowing in and the presence of Az made you oh so calm. You felt the corners of your mouth rise into a smile as he gently poured some water on your hair and started washing, massaging your scalp. You couldn’t help but humm at the sensation, and felt Azriel sending you love and adoration down the bond you two shared. The shadowsinger noticed you slowly closing your eyes, dozing off. He could not help but smile, could not stop the blood from rushing onto his cheeks at how safe you felt around him. At the fact that you trust him so much, feel so comfortable and, well, safe with him. Him, who for years felt so unworthy of your love, of you. For he was the shadowsinger, the feared spymaster who’s past, present and future he thought to be forever stained with blood and scars - his own and that of his enemies. Yet, in came you with your dazzling smile, charming personality, and you never, not for one second, seemed to put any mistrust in him. As if you saw him, sensed some sort of invisible string between the two of you and just refused to let go. Even when he tried to pretend not to reciprocate your love - for your own safety, you saw right through him and his antics. You got him figured out, and even though he never saw you coming, he will never be the same, this love so brave and wild, you so brave and strong. He admired your features, the round of your cheeks, how you looked so gentle and light, completely peaceful falling asleep in a bathtub. He kept this oath to himself, to you, that he would never dare lose that. Never would end this age of golden, good and simply just right love. He, whatever might be happening, would never let this end, would never give a reason for your trust in him to break. And he swore to keep this oath just as close to his heart as he kept you.

As Azriel finished washing you, he took you into his arms, holding you close to his chest, and gently placed you on your shared bed. You stirred lightly, yawning “What’s going on?” he glanced down at you from his place next to your wardrobe where he was picking up something for you to wear, a slight smirk daring to slip onto his face “You fell asleep in the tub” he stated. “Oh.” you said flustered, because fuck, you really must’ve been more exhausted than you had thought “Sorry, Az” you frowned.

“Sweetheart,” he was now standing directly in front of you, and placed a tshirt, of his, on the bed next to you “you seriously need to stop overworking yourself like so. You know, not only is that not healthy for you, but also you are wasting time I could be spending with my amazing mate” he slightly teased, but there was a seriousness in his eyes and voice that you didn’t miss “Working. Doing important court work, darling, is not wasting anyone’s time, certainly not yours” you countered, which followed by a long yawn made this whole argument of yours seem less serious. You dropped your gaze to your lap, frowning, but Azriel put his warm hand under your chin, willing you to look up at him “I’m sure you’d hate me barging into your office and carrying you out of there the next time you work too long?” he said in his teasing mannear, but you genuinely wondered if he was actually capable of doing such a thing. You groaned loudly, throwing the shirt Azriel prepared for you over your head, and got under the soft covers. Az stood in front of you with a fond expression adoring his features, but after a moment he too got into bed. You turned the night light off as your mate made his way to you on the bed, placed his arms on your waist and cradled you close to his chest. You couldn’t stop the contented sigh leaving your lips at how well your bodies melted into each other. As if tailor made to fit together. He kissed the back of your head humming and tightened the grip on your middle as he extended his huge wings to drape over you, making you even warmer.

“Az?” you asked quietly

“Yes, love?”

“Thank you for taking care of me tonight” you said, sending him feelings of warmth and adoration. “It’s all a pleasure” his voice was gruff and laced with sleep “And you know I’ll gladly do it until the end of time, sweetheart” and you knew he would.

“I love you” you whispered, settling in, finally falling asleep. But you swore that through the mist of dreams already surrounding you, you made out his quiet response of “I love you too, forever and always.”

One of the strangest criticisms I see of Taylor by the general public is that “these days she keeps trying to have that sensual, sexy vibe, but I have never once found her to be a sexy individual,” and while everyone has the right to their own opinions and what they find attractive, I can’t help but think…so what?

What makes a person sexy to others versus what makes an individual FEEL sexy are two very different things. Not to mention the former is very much subjective. While there may be certain people or characteristics that many people collectively find sexy or attractive, it’s not actually a quantifiable, concrete thing with particular criteria. On the contrary, “sexy” is typically difficult to define. Not that it’s relevant, but I find the TTPD visuals very intimate and sensual, but that’s just one person’s opinion.

Moreover, asserting this concept of “not being ‘actually sexy’” as a legitimate criticism is troublesome because it purports the idea that if YOU do not find an individual sexually appealing, then that individual should not express their sexuality in an overt way. Does it really matter if you or I find Taylor Swift sexy? If we don’t find her sexy, does that mean that the intimate visuals of TTPD are just her “pretending” to be sexy or trying to convince some abstract, metaphorical jury that she is capable of being such a thing?

Should it not be considered that perhaps Taylor just felt sexy? I have my own theories of why she would choose these dramatic, forlorn poses in a bedroom setting, but if there was no other reason than her simply wanting to express that sort of intimate, sexual version of herself, wouldn’t that be enough? Or does she have to earn the right to be seen as a sexual being?

One might argue that they’re actually just complaining about the marketing aspect of it rather than Taylor’s actual, personal presentation (I don’t believe you), saying that if she can’t “pull off sexy” then it’s unwise to try and market herself as such. But Taylor is well past that point in her career. Like it or not, her fans will buy anything she puts out at this point, and she knows that. Why not exercise that freedom and present herself the way she wants to be seen? The way she actually feels?

“She wants so bad to be sexy,” they say, like that’s a crime—like “sexy” is something they get to bestow upon an individual. Like “sexy” is only empowering for women that they personally are attracted to.

Aren’t we past this? Why does it bother you if a woman you perceived as pure and innocent wants to share her sexuality? What a strange conversation to be having about one of the most successful women in the world in the year 2024.

Initially I wrote, “I ran my mouth about the Watcher streaming/paywall situation because I make bad decisions,” but I think the post has actually gone over well? In short, I want to see them succeed but I am also deeply fuckin’ baffled. I so desperately want the tea about what was really going on behind all this, and how the guys are reacting to it now, and I really hope they can turn this around somehow.

The Hot Vintage Lady Polls are escalating in round four. We got to a point where I posted propaganda for Ava Gardner AND Dorothy Dandridge in their matchup. Probably the biggest scandal of round three was Vivien Leigh getting knocked out, but she’s now High Chancellor of the Shadow Realm. The most contentious matchup this time seems to be Judy Garland vs Natalie Wood, which is nearly 50/50 as of this writing. But keep your eye on Hedy Lamarr, who may have Mifune Sweep energy.

The Emmy Awards. I've heard that so much recently that its starting to sound like a made-up word. I still get goosebumps every time I remember I get to attend these prestigious awards with my cast, friends and-

"Y/N, as beautiful as you look right now, it is time to get up"

And- my boyfriend.

Jack and I have been together for almost 7 months and due to me living in England most of the time, we have been able to keep it a secret. Our relationship is like that Taylor Swift song “London Boy” but flipped. Because god he loves the English.

I give in to the whispering voice and slowly start to stretch to wake my body up. As I open my eyes I realize the curtains have been opened and warm yellow light is pouring down onto the mop of curls bouncing around me.

"Compliments already Champion?" I ask grinning as Jack whips around to see I'm awake now, "Maybe I should stay asleep forever if you think I look that good."

"Yeah but then all my bad jokes would never be laughed at again" he says as he walks towards me offering his arm and bowing slightly, "M'Lady, breakfast is waiting and it'll be cold if we don't hurry" he exclaims in his best British accent before grabbing my hand and pulling me through the hotel room in a fit of mischievous giggles.

He had ordered my favorite from room service and had it set in front of the window with a view of the beach in the distance. Although I woke up later than planned we were still ahead of schedule so we took our time eating and just talking to try and ignore the nerves for tonight.

A knock at the hotel door made us jump and we remembered Jack was supposed to stay in his own room. I tried to whisper that he should wait somewhere until it was safe to leave but my manager and the rest of my team walked in. I'd forgotten they had a key.

"Oh... I let myself in as I thought you over slept but I can see-" She glances at Jack trying not to break her serious face, " you are awake and have company"

Everyone glances at each other for a few moments before erupting into laughter as it's almost an unspoken tradition that me and Jack don't listen to staying separate before something so nerve wracking as The Emmys.

Sadly, Jack was kicked out swiftly so that my team could help me with my hair and makeup and eventually get into my dress. This is one of my favorite parts of the day because everyone is talking and having fun while music plays as background music for us to dance, sing or just listen to. One thing we love to do is make TikToks about the process of my makeover.

I thrive off musical.ly transitions and the fans love it every time, and it makes me so happy. My fans have always been some of my favorite people. When I first started out I followed the first fan accounts and we continue DM regularly after all this time. But even though they are lovely, Jack and I are still wary of hate and also some of the threats that his fans may throw at me. We will tell people eventually but right now its fun to mess with them and give subtle hints for the detectives among the followers.

I am finally ready. I've finished the last parts of TikToks, taken photos and grabbed my bag of essentials like plasters, gum and tissues. I shoot Jack a text and he's at my door in less than 30 seconds. Even though he has seen pictures of my outfit, his eyes almost pop out of their sockets when I open the hotel door.

"Hey-" My face starts to go red after realizing why he has stopped talking "Jesus Y/N, you look gorgeous, like actually breathtaking, I need an inhaler, Do you have to pay for inhalers? Where do you even buy them from?" He rambles as he becomes flustered in front of the beautiful woman he gets to call his girlfriend.

I grab his face, to stop the word vomit, and kiss him trying not to smile too much. "Thank you Jack, you look as amazing as always" I retort "Is it hot in here, somebody catch me I am going to faint, Cause of death: Jack Champion" We both laugh before our managers tell us its sadly time to separate for the ride to The Emmys.

We text non-stop throughout the journey talking about everything that has ever happened because neither of us can stay on one topic without branching off into a rant or an important piece of backstory to the first conversation. But Jack has to arrive at the theater first so that he can walk the carpet at a similar time to his cast mates, and so that I can do the same. So we text our goodbyes.

Stepping out of the car onto the carpet with fans shouting and cameras flashing is a feeling I will never get used to. The rush hits me as I remember to smile and walk properly to not look like Bambi on ice. My manager is that my side lightly guiding me towards the queue of celebrities next to the paparazzi for our official photos. I use the waiting time to scope out the brown head of hair that will calm me down.

I hear him laughing before I see him. He is doing an interview with one of his favorite cast mates and I feel my face already start to ache from smiling at him. However he doesn't spot me until I'm on the carpet.

(Jack's Interview- Jack's POV)

"So yes, we are extremely proud of this movie" I end my answer for the interviewer. They start to ask another but I am distracted by the roar of noise from behind me. Y/N.

She looks stunning. I can tell why she has such dedicated fans, I mean look at her. I finally catch her eye and we do our little signal.

It's like we have made up our own language for these events. Little head wiggles, eyebrows and nose scrunches and sometimes we risk it by lip syncing the words and we just pray that no one can see we are communicating with each other.

I laugh to myself before I'm pulled away from the trance she has put me in. My cast mate is elbowing me and I realize a few people are staring at me, expecting an answer.

" Oh I'm so sorry, I got distracted" Y/N is never going to stop talking about this, "What was the question?"

(Back to Y/N's POV)

As I walk off the end of the carpet my manager appears, telling me all about Jack's distraction and I already knew he was going to be so embarrassed about this even before I pulled out my phone to be met with the long stream of manic texts from Jack.

(Later that night, in the comment section of Jack's Interview)

jackonion: Is anyone else trying to work out what got Jack so distracted? ↳user142: no omg i was trying to do that too! ↳Y/N's.heart: It was definitely Y/N, you can see her dress at the end of the video. I might be going delusional but it's because I ship them.

"Uh Oh" Jack and I say at the same time.

Wow! So that is the end of my first piece?! Please let me know if its too long or doesn't make sense as I am now paranoid that I just wrote a random bunch of words with my eyes closed. I don't really know if this can have part two but if you think of anything let me know.
