I don't know if anyones said this already but I was looking up flower color meanings for a book I'm reading

anyway I found out although yellow flowers in general can represent happiness and joy ect, a lot of times yellow flowers also carry more negative or less romantic meanings associated with things like goodbye, rejection, hopeless love, jealousy, friendship or platonic love

THE IDEA

im stuck with my own idea of how love is, and how people expect love to be. i might be guilty of reading too much romance books. where two people doesnt give up on each other no matter what, loving someone - unconditionally. love that lasts distance, time even absence. can i just love someone without expecting them to love me back? without getting labeled as hopelessly dumb.

to just love because we want to love not because we want to be loved back. to be whole and wanting to share the warmth without thinking we are looking for our other half to fill us with that warmth. these days people expect this and that from someone they love, stuck on the idea of "im giving this much to you least you can do is give as much back". but ... cant we just give because we want to give. treat love as a form of expression and not a form of investment that needs to be returned or else its over.
