Future holders AU

Some stuff cut off

Missed the bit of the fandom where everyone did this so here’s my two cents. The cat miraculous holder is Emma A. Dupain-Cheng ofc!

So here’s some things I imagine happen in this

Basically Marinette at some point relinquished guardianship and Ladybug and Chat Noir retired. (Debating to have a little bit of past angst by keeping the memory wipe)

Years later on Emma’s 16th birthday, an akuma crashes through the roller rink. Adrien got everyone to safety and Emma finds a strange box in the room he put her in. Joined by Crimson Bird (we’ll get to her one day), they defeat the akuma and learn of the return of the once thought to be destroyed Butterfly miraculous. Violet Empress

Emma doesn’t know her parents were super heroes and they won’t find out she’s one for a bit.

She’s a roller skating champ and only gets better with the added cat agility. Still crap at walking tho.

Emma is a big fan of the ‘old’ heroes and collects merch from the time. Her dad seems to be very good a sourcing ultra rare ladybug and chat noir stuff…

Once she debuts as Kitty Bo, she finds a Kitty Bo costume in her Dad’s wardrobe. She assumes its for her for the next con as he’d been hinting that with the new Chat Noir someone could have a new costume. Ofc this makes her panic because ‘what if he realises??’. On the day, turns out this costumes for him! Kitty Bo is apparently his favourite ‘new’ hero. While Chat Noir is her’s.

(Secretly they are both very pleased by these facts)

Plagg is ofc delighted his next holder is the daughter of his previous. This leads him to being an annoying little git. The only thing keeping his from running to Adrien is the identity protection thing. Eventually a midnight cheese escapade leads to a very damning sighting by Adrien and some quick lies about needing a quick recharge while patrolling. Adrien starts crying, Plagg leaves, it is all very confusing. Meanwhile Emma is in her room jamming out, unaware her kwami nearly exposed her.

I’m not sure how the reveals will go yet. The AU is Adrien & Emma centric as I think Adrien’s strive to be not like his dad and Emma wanting to live up to her’s in two ways unbeknownst to her is interesting.

The proper reunion is very emotional and Emma lets her dad transform for a bit, giving the public a shock. Marinette gets to borrow Tikki too and they go have a romantic evening on the Eiffel Tower, a defining spot of the relationship they couldn’t visit after giving up the miraculous.

Even with your powers over time, you cannot stop me now," Monarch declares. Studying the young heroine, he adds, "You are not the Rabbit host I have fought before." Blonde hair, in pigtails. Blue eyes. A hauntingly familiar face... as if a teenaged Emilie had spawned before him, via some miracle of fate. This was not Emilie, certainly, nor anyone he had ever met before -- but the familiarity in her expression, her body language, her mannerisms was haunting to Monarch from the very first moment. "You really don't want to wipe this timeline away yet," the heroine chides him. "I mean, I'm biased, because I want to happen, right? But you're going to want to hear what I have to say first." "And who are you that I should listen to you?" sneers Monarch. "Now that I have ultimate power in my grasp?" My piece for the Marcnath Zine 2023!

Took inspiration from the song Serendipity by Jimin (BTS) and crated a completely new Au from scratch in which they resemble flowers

Nath is a Red Cosmos

The cosmos in general symbolize order and harmony, beauty, self-reliance, resilience, kindness. The red ones symbolize romantic love, passion, primal energy, and, because cosmos are symbol of eternity, romantic commitment and everlasting love, making it the symbol of the infinite nature of soulmates.

In this au he's not considered much (just like in the show >.>) mostly because he's a common flower and because of him having only one eye, so he goes on a jurney to find the legendary White Rose

Marc is a White Rose

White roses symbolize purity, youthfulness, innocence, young love, eternal loyalty and new beginnings.

In this au he's basically a deity since he was the first flower to be created in the universe, so I decided to make him a white rose to reference the Rosa dei Beati from Divina Commedia by Dante.

Originally I wanted to make a comic for the Zine but then I thought "Yeah I can't make this, it needs to much explanation on why this happened and even if I eliminated the last page it would have felt incomplete to me" so I went for plan B

Villainess Marinette!Au

“-how do you plead, Marinette Von Eden?” A voice awoke her from her trance, stirring her awake.

“..what?” Marinette whispered, looking up with her groggy eyes.

“Lady Eden! Were you even listening?!”

“Uh, who what now?” Marinette looked around, flustered. What is happening?

“What an idiot. Tt. Should have let me take care of her earlier.” Another, deep voice sprang out among the crowd that had formed itself around her.

“I’m sorry guys, but you must have gotten the wrong person! My name is Marinette Dupain-Cheng. You get it? Dupain-Cheng not Eden!” Marinette cried out, her voice almost breaking while sweat dripped down her face. WHAT WAS HAPPENING?!?!

“What do you think you’re doing, Eden? You think claiming to be a different person will save you? We all know who you are!” A lighter, but still deep and gruff voice shouted, presumably from behind her. Speaking of which, there was something holding her arms behind her, aND THEIR GRIP KEEPS GETTING TIGHTER! IT HURTS!

“..owww.” Marinette bit her lips, looking in front of her with tear filled eyes. The pain was too real to be a dream, so where the heck was she?

“Stop complaining dimwit! Lillian had to suffer much worse because of you!” The man in front of her called out, holding onto someone. Wait… if she looked a little closer, didn’t that look a lot like-

“-Lila?” Marinette gasped out, eyes wide open.

“Ah!” The girl cried out, flinching away from Marinette’s stare. “Richard, I’m scared!”

“It’s alright, my little Lily. I’ll take care of this.” The man whispered to her. The men all around now glaring harshly at Marinette. “Look what you’ve done now, Eden! How dare you harm my Lila with your evil stare!”

“Uh-uh-Ehem.” Marinette panicked, squeezing shut her eyes. Ah, shoot. What should she do?

“Disgusting.” The man behind her tightened his grip even tighter, causing Marinette to react.

“NOPE!” Marinette kicked the man behind her in a- uh, very special spot, causing him to cry out. With her arms now released, Marinette made a quick plan. One that couldn’t fail. “See ya suckers!”

Marinette booked it out of the huge room, slamming into a door, before eventually finding a window to use to escape.

“Oi! Kaalki! I know you’re there, so come out and explain what the heck is happening!”

“Ehehehe, so…”

I hope we can all agree that Marinette will one day become a successful fashion designer. What about Adrien? I read a lot of thoughts about his future job. I love the idea of him still voice acting or modeling for his Lady.

But hear me out. What if he´ll become a musical actor.

Just imagine it. Hundreds of puns, catchy songs and some crazy choreography and costumes. I would love to see him playing roles like Ogie from Waitress, Damian from Mean Girls, Light Yagami from Death Note: The Musical (lets pretend it is official not only in Japan) or any character from Starkid.

And there is another idea but I know you will maybe hate me for it.

Adrien will be playing the role of Squip from Be More Chill. (If anyone could draw this, please. I NEED to see Adrien in Squip costume.) And he will be constantly JOKING about similarities between this story and their school days. „Hey, M´lady, can you imagine my father singing the song Upgrade when wanted someone akumatize?“ or „My Lady do you think some people will pay for the akuma if anyone didn´t know Hawkmoth was villain?“ Marinette and his friends are worried whenever he talks about it. For Adrien the similarities are really funny and he doesn´t understand, why is everyone looking at him like that.

Hello.

I would like to talk about some important things:

1) AUs (not only Despicable Minions you know the best, but also about the FNaF AU and UnderTale AU I almost abandoned because of how cringe their original versions from 2019 and 2020 were)

2) My own stories (Midnight’s Pack and The Alliance)

3) Redesigns & Rewrites and the Chibis

Alright, let's start:

1) AUs

Despicable Minions - I know I'm not uploading anything from it but I has a reason - I'm waiting for the 4th movie, so I can then use it and incorporated it into the AU. Right now, I only have some ideas of how to put Poppy in the Wilde family but only either if the info about her past will remain unknown or if she will turn out to be Lucy's relative.

Five Nights at Freddy's: The Dark World - Recently, I put out a poll whether you'd be interested in me talking about my FNaF AU. I still have to wait until the time runs out to see the results but even before it, I can tell you some history of it:

The first version I made was between 2021 and 2022 and I'll be honest... it was cringe. I only uploaded 2 artworks on my DA account before I re-decided and throw the whole AU in a dumbster. This year, I changed my mind and decided to return to the AU, however I changed it completely. Right now, the AU is a more serious piece, combining the games, Charlie's Trilogy, most stories from Fazbear Frights and Tales from the Pizzaplex series and the 1st FNaF movie.

I'll wait and see whether it's worth it to talk about the FNaF AU or not.

UnderTale: Next Generation - Another AU that ended up in a dumbster but I returned and remade it completely. I privated my old artworks but to be honest, I wish I've never made them. The ships were cringe, the changes I made feel weird now etc. If you wanna know more, just tell me in the comments of this post or privately in a Tumblr chat.

2) My own stories

Midnight’s Pack - A fantasy story about 5 teenagers who tries to find a way to befriend each other through working on a group project, even if they're different species, with different family backgrounds and different way they express their creativity.

Right now, I'm mostly focused on worldbuilding, however, I'm still determined to introduce you the characters and even the story. I'll see when I'm ready to finish at least the sketches. I wish I had more free time. What more can I say? I try to take my university life seriously. Maybe too seriously...

The Alliance - A story from an apocalyptic/post-apocalyptic future about a police officer who befriends eight girls with special powers. I haven't touched this universe much for a while but I definitely have to make some updates. At least I can show you sketches of their chibi versions I've made:

In these sketches, I included eight major female characters, the Humanoid Genetic Hybrids (girls who were artificially turned into hybrids between humans and Genetic Beasts).

Whitney is 15, Himari is 14, Sora is 13, Tanya is 12, Akane is 11, Rei is 10, Tina is 9 and Amy is 8 years old.

3) Redesigns & Rewrites and the Chibis

According to two polls I made, a lot of people would like to see me do some redesigns, as well as a lit of people like chibis, which is great - my tumblr blog definitely needs to have more themes of drawing and these two categories are perfect to have.

Miraculous Future/Sentimonster Adrien AU

So once upon a time I had a Miraculous Future AU that I don’t think I ever talked about? But here it is! I think I’m going to tie it up with my Sentimonster Adrien AU.

Trigger warnings for references to self-harm and attempted suicide.

Basically, Adrien and Mari finally defeat Monarch Hawkmoth, and like in the fic I wrote called “Monster” (you can read it on AO3), he explains the reason why he and Emilie created Sentimonster Adrien, only I’ll tie in the rings and Felix and all that. EXCEPT that instead of Mari going up to find Adrien like in the fic, she never finds out that Adrien and Chat Noir are the same person.

Therefore, Adrien is having to deal with the fact that his father is Hawkmoth and that his mother used the peacock to create him as a replacement for their first dead child. A lot to handle. So Gabe is arrested and put to trial, gets life in prison. Except he’s still infected with Chat’s cataclysm, so he dies, like, a year later. Meanwhile, Adrien has distanced himself from everyone due to the backlash of his father being Hawkmoth. That, and he’s dealing with his own personal demons as a result of being a sentimonster. He leaves Paris, severing contact with everyone out of shame and guilt and general self-loathing (what a happy AU this is). Then, say, two or three years later, Nathalie dies as well, because she’s sick from the peacock still, and so he loses her too. Just one shitty thing after another, because I like to torture the sunshine boy.

So anyway, this all happens in, like, the first two chapters. However, on Marinette’s side, once the trial for Hawkmoth is done, she and Chat can finally reveal themselves to one another, which is something she actually wants to do now that we’re updated through what’s released of season 5. She and Chat have agreed to meet up or something, but when she goes, he never comes. AND she never sees Chat again after that. Adrien is too ashamed and heartbroken over everything that’s happened that his self-worth is in the dumps, and he’s pretty much convinced himself that he’s better off just... disappearing entirely. Ladybug doesn’t need him and his family drama around--she deserves better. So does Marinette, for that matter.

SO THEN WE HAVE A TIMESKIP! Like, ten years or something.

Marinette is the guardian again, only she doesn’t have Plagg or Duusu. She has no idea where either of these miraculouses are, and seeing as there’s been no disturbances caused by them, she’s never had any leads as far as looking. Part of her is betrayed by Chat’s abandonment of her, while another part of her fears the worst. They weren’t able to share their identities, so it’s just as Chat has once feared--that something may have happened to one of them and the other wouldn’t know. Of course, there’s nothing she can do about it, so she just... lives on.

Mari doesn’t really “work” in fashion at this point. She still does it in her spare time, but I’m going to take a realistic approach and assume she’s still working toward that goal. As her day job, she’s a nurse or some kind of healthcare professional. I feel like that fits her personality and it fits the story too. She doesn’t keep in touch with everyone from their school days, mostly only Luka, Alya, and Nino (Alya and Nino are married?) Why hasn’t Luka told her who Chat is so she can find him? Well, she doesn’t know that Luka knows she was Ladybug, and he probably assumes they decided not to tell each other or something--he’s not one to pry. Anyway, so she lives in a flat in the city somewhere with all the kwamis and is leading an ordinary life.

UNTIL Plagg suddenly shows up? That’s how I’ve always imagined it, tho I’ve entertained some other ideas. BUT FOR NOW, Plagg shows up and Mari is shocked to see him, obviously. But he’s anxious and goes on about how he needs her help, that he fears his holder is in trouble--that he might hurt himself (again).

Adrien’s life has not gone... super great, obviously. He abandoned all his friends, the lawsuit against his father stripped him of any money, as the Agreste wealth was used to pay victims/damages. The only family he has is Felix and Amalie, whom he doesn’t have much to do with (I think? I’m not sure how big a role in this Felix will play, but I feel like he could be useful, as he’s also a “sentimonster?”). He’s been out of the public eye for a long time, and, to add to it all, he once tried to destroy his own ring--at a very low point--but it didn’t work. Instead, he very badly injured himself. He’s now disabled, being paralyzed from the waist down. He’s had a hard time, to say the least, and is in a very bad place mentally when Plagg breaks his word--as Adrien had previously made him promise never to tell Ladybug who he was--and goes to find Marinette. He doesn’t “tell her” who Chat is, but he does bring her to him.

This starts a whole hurt/comfort thing where they both learn to deal with their problems and accept what has happened together. Very angsty, but I guess that’s what I’m in the mood for. Adrien is kind of a jerk, because he CAN be a jerk in canon when he’s upset, and Mari is distrustful and defensive. They have a lot to work through and, I dunno, I like a good angst-fest.

Anyway, who knows if I’ll write this, tho I am thinking about it. I do like to be mean to the children.
