My Personal Goal Progress and Steps to Achieving Them: Part 2, Fat Loss
Hello there. For today’s article, I decided to talk about what my personal goals are and how I plan to go about reaching them.
I’ve realised that I’ve made a lot of content on creating goals, but I haven’t shown how it works for me with real life examples. Maybe showing this little insight in my life will help you manage your own goals better.
My Goals for 2022-end
* Read 6 books
* Lose 5 inches off my lower waist
* Get rid of acne scars
* 20 Medium articles by the end of the year
* Go back to playing tennis
* Be able to read the language I’m studying fluently
Losing 5 Inches of my Lower Waist
I have a skinny-fat body where the rest of me is lean except for this weird fat ring I have around my belly (I call it my Saturn ring LOL). I know it’s fat and not a medical issue because I’ve gotten it checked out. My gynaecologist had asked me to lose 5 kg for my health.
Here’s what I’m doing to reduce the waist line:
* 2L water everyday
* 10K steps everyday or a yoga workout on days when it’s too hot to be outside
* Eating mainly protein and low carb
* Calorie deficit (1800 calories - this is NOT for long term, only for two weeks and it’s adequate for my height)
* Green juice once a day (spinach, peach, celery, blueberries)
* No alcohol or processed foods or unnatural sugar
* Only one slice of bread in a day
* Lots of vegetables - sweet potatoes, carrots, beans, aubergine, zucchini, peppers, broccoli - often as a stir fry with some sort of protein - boiled eggs, tofu
* Dessert, if I’m craving, are grapes or yogurt

You do not have to own the nicest gym clothes, the tastiest protein powder, or the most energetic pre-workout to lose weight.
Simply working out and being consistent will do it! Don't get discouraged because you see people online wearing/using a brand you can't afford.
You are enough.

Had a "we need to agree to disagree before feelings get seriously hurt" moment when my roommate was telling me about this reddit aita where a woman had lost a significant amount of weight and since doing that her husband has been more attentive and affectionate and nice and she started to resent and hate him for it and I don't think that she was in the wrong for that at all

house truly is a show of contrasts. really ableist and fatphobic but also hitting hard on things related to abelism and faphobia that other shows wouldn't touch, creating some genuinely satisfying moments

Thinking a lot about how diet culture has led to this cultural landscape of people mocking cooking content creators for using too much oil when they make large batches of salad dressing or confit. And like you have to sit here and wonder what these people are going through in their own food journey if they think someone is sitting down and drinking three cups of salad dressing (made with 1 cup of olive oil) in a single sitting. Or, for that matter, just fucking drinking down the garlic confit. Homemade mayo? Made with olive oil? Unimaginable, that's clearly ridiculously unhealthy, unlike grocery store mayo. Like... I'm forced to imagine that these people don't make anything ever and so have literally no concept of how it works because otherwise I have to imagine how fucking awful some of the things these people are feeding to their families must be.
Like yeah, eating too much olive oil absolutely is bad for you, but you should probably critically engage with why you're so terrified of the stuff before you start trying to police what other people (whose health you literally know nothing about) are eating.

Here are some tips for losing weight naturally and healthily:
Eat a balanced diet that includes a variety of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins. Avoid processed foods and sugary drinks.
Exercise regularly. Aim for at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise or 75 minutes of vigorous-intensity exercise per week.
Get enough sleep. Lack of sleep can lead to weight gain and other health problems. Aim for 7-9 hours of sleep per night.
Drink plenty of water. Water can help you feel full and may also help with weight loss.
Eat slowly and mindfully. Pay attention to your food and try to eat without distractions. This can help you enjoy your meals more and may also help with weight loss.
Limit your intake of alcohol. Alcohol can contribute to weight gain and may also interfere with weight loss efforts.
Seek support from friends, family, or a healthcare professional. Having support can help you stay motivated and on track with your weight loss goals.
Remember, losing weight is not always easy and it may take time. It's important to be patient and consistent in following a healthy lifestyle.
