Batfam hc: The reason Bruce doesn't get why Dick wanted to "stay away" from him after he reached his late teens or why Dick didn't wanna be in his shadow... it's coz Bruce just doesn't understand why any child would want to be away from their parents. Why would the child want to be away from his parents' embrace? Why?! He would never want to be away from Thomas and Martha if they were alive. He would always wanna be their little boy. He would always live under their protective, warm and safe shadow. He just doesn't understand. The truth is: He is still their, in crime alley, trying to stop those two bullets. He never truly got out of the crime alley. He probably never would...but that's ok with Bruce. Because he doesn't mind staying in the shadow of his dead parents.
Years later, Dick finally gets how and why Bruce is the way he is. He mourns for his father and protects him the best he can. Dick knows that even though he would never trade what he has with the family he found with Bruce and others surrounding him now...for anything else, including his beloved parents...he knows, that Bruce would chose Thomas and Martha over them in a heartbeat. And it hurts. It hurts him SO BAD. But he will endure this hurt. Because he also knows that Bruce loves him and his brothers and sisters and everyone else consisting of their mess of a family.
Maybe, that's why...when the timeline shenanigans happened, and Bruce was left at the night of tragedy when Martha and Thomas were shot dead in the past, Dick, in the present timeline, was ready...ready to disappear from the present life. And he could see the same fear but silent acceptance in his siblings' eyes too. They held each other tightly. Jason, Tim, Damian, Cassandra, Stephanie, and Duke...all of them, a small part of them were resenting Bruce but their selfless love for him wouldn't let them hate him. After all...how could you hate a lost child. They waited...with Oracle in their comms, her soothing voice telling them again and again how much she loved them all. That, no matter what, she would find a way to remember them all, and bring them back. Dick held Damian close to his chest the tightest. Small and brave Dami, so full of love despite his painful past. Dick wanted to say--
A burst of energy was felt behind him...empty space crackled to life. A portal opened. A man walked out. His cowl and cape soaked in rain.
Bruce broke down. He started crying and then he started laughing. Sorry for letting you down. Sorry for scaring you all. Sorry for letting mommy and papa die. Sorry for loving his present more than his past. He loves his parents. He always would. But he loves his children more. He loves them all. Bruce no longer wanted to stay in his parents' shadow. Now, he just wanted to become a home for his kids. What is a home? A home is a place, when you have nowhere else to go, they have to accept you. And home had no right to abandon those who looked his way for support. He has to be there. He has to be a home. He didn't want to be anything else atp.
Dick held Bruce as tightly as he held Damian. Damian kept say, "Baba, Baba!" while trying to hold back tears. Jason held Bruce's cape tightly, as if he would disappear. He was still in shock. Cassandra cradled Bruce's head in her arms. Stephanie had her arms around Bruce and Jason. Tim was wiping Bruce's tears even though he himself was crying. Duke held Bruce's shoulder. His hand was shaking. He didn't want to lose another father figure. The thought had crossed his mind what his life would be if Batman had disappeared. Would it be better or worse? He decided that he didn't care. In the end, he didn't want to lose Bruce from his life. All of them could hear Barbara's quiet whimpers. Bruce tried to hold all of them in embrace.
A child finally walked out of the crime alley.

Ask me about my sins (and I'll tell you about my love)

Tumblr media
pairing: damian wayne x reader (gender neutral)
length: 1.8k
genre: hurt/comfort, fluff
warnings: the initial awkwardness of enemies to lovers who have JUST moved on to the lovers stage, there's a lil jealousy but it's smoothed over pretty easily
a/n: this is a bit of a longer one but whatever I hope y'all like it <3
Tumblr media
The galas Bruce Wayne holds may have become a normal occurrence for Damian, but the thought of them and everything they entail still makes something uneasy stir in your gut. Damian assures you that it's fine - that it's understandable. He stares intently in the mirror, straightening his suit as he speaks soothing words.
"You haven't been in Gotham for very long," he says. "No one expects you to adjust to life here immediately… and no one will demand you do anything you're not comfortable with. Ever. If you never go to one of these galas, that's fine with me."
You stare at the pattern of the wood floor in Damian's room, your hands bunching the covers of his bed where you sit as he moves to stand in front of you. He doesn't touch you - he's not sure enough, yet. This newfound peace between the two of you is still so fragile and neither of you know exactly how to navigate it yet. It pains him, though - he often finds himself wishing he could reach out, wishing there was something he could do to bridge the gap between the two of you.
"You've adapted to life outside of the League very well," you say quietly, a sharpness coating your words. There's an accusation there somewhere, maybe born of jealousy, maybe born of fear. Damian doesn't take the bait, though - another indicator of the ways in which he's grown since coming here. Another moment that leaves a bitterness on your tongue.
"No," he responds simply. "It's just that the years I spent learning this new life, you were… still back there. You knew me in the League and you know me now. There was an in-between that you just didn't see."
You don't respond to his words, a swirling sort of panic rising in your chest at the reminder that there was so much of him that you missed, so much of his life that you were so far away for. Damian kneels in front of you, tilting his head to lock his eyes with yours, a gentle love shining in his irises that makes you wish you could run away - again.
"Please be here tonight when I get back?" he asks softly. "We can talk more about this then." You nod at his words and he reaches out slowly, taking your hand in his and pressing a series of delicate kisses to your knuckles. There are words neither of you can say yet, bridges neither of you are ready to cross, but he hopes - every day he hopes that you know how much he loves you. And every day you pray he can see how much you love him back.
Having spent his whole life circling you and watching you circle back, it's almost second nature for Damian, now, to check for you. No one else is aware of your presence, too focused on the press and the dresses and the endless champagne that comes with these events - not that any of them could find you if they tried, Damian thinks smugly. He knows, of course. He always knows. The flicker of a shadow seen through a window, a rustle on the balcony near him, the ever-present feeling of eyes on him.
Damian doesn't mind, he realizes. He takes no issue with your hawk-like gaze trained on him from a vantage point no one else can find. In a way, it makes him feel better. You're not here, in front of him, where he can keep you safe - but if you're around, then you must be okay. It soothes something in him - something new and foreign that pleads with him and demands he take care of you. It's an unfamiliar feeling, one that trips him up and knocks him off balance. He has a hard time placing the moment he stopped being possessive of you as his enemy and started becoming protective of you as his… well, he doesn't even really know yet.
He does mind when a girl his age bumps into him at the gala, a glass of something sparkling in her hand as she giggles and promises that it was an accident, her hand finding itself placed on his chest. And he minds even more when, amidst his attempts to escape the sudden intrusion on his train of thought he suddenly… can't find you or feel you anywhere.  He removes the girl's hands quickly, excusing himself and slipping out, away from the noise and the politeness and the showiness of it all.
"You cut your party short," you say quietly, not turning to look at where Damian's climbed onto the roof of the Manor behind you, dress shirt ruffled and jacket unbuttoned. You don't need to turn to know he's there, silent as he is. You always know.
"It's not my party. I made my appearance," he shrugs, sitting down next to you and staring at you intently. You keep your gaze trained up, staring at the night sky as you sit stiffly, back straight and shoulders back.
"She means nothing to me," Damian says firmly when you remain silent. You tense at his words. "I don't even know who she was."
"...It's fine," you say stubbornly. Damian sighs. Silence covers the two of you, the weight of it bearing down on the uneasiness - the stubbornness and the frustration of you both. Damian shifts, finding himself unsure, once again. You had always been better at this than him - always been more sure of yourself when it came to mind games. He finds himself wishing suddenly that he had a sword in his hands - it was always easier to fight you like that.
"You're… jealous," he says slowly, like he's trying to figure out where you stand in the situation. You snap your head around to look at him and he winces internally. Wrong guess, he thinks.
"I'm not," you respond stubbornly and he thinks briefly that this isn't the tact he's used to seeing you use in verbal sparring matches. He's not sure if it soothes or stresses him that he seems to unarm you the same way you so effortlessly unarm him.
"We were apart for years, Damian," you continue quietly, looking away from him pointedly. "And… we were never actually together. And we were so young when you left the League. And…" you trail off, eyes shifting as you seemingly search for the right words.
"And…?" he prompts patiently. You sigh, slumping over ever so slightly, cracking your perfect posture for just a moment. Damian wonders if anyone else has ever seen you like this or if he's an exception - then kicks himself mentally for focusing on something like that right now.
"You came to Gotham for a second chance - a new life. I don't expect that you sat here waiting for me… I don't expect that there was never anyone else," you finish glumly, still pointedly looking anywhere but Damian as you speak. He makes a strange sound at your words, a strangled sort of panicked noise at the idea that you're presenting to him.
He turns suddenly, facing you completely as he reaches out, hands outstretching towards you so fast and determinedly that you jerk back, years of the two of you on opposite sides of a bloody fight flashing in front of your eyes. But there's no fight in Damian tonight. There's no violence in the way he cups your cheeks tenderly in his hands, pulling himself forward to press a kiss to your lips.
Your own surprised sound leaves your throat at the action, your hands reaching up to wrap around Damian's wrists as he kisses you. Maybe you both expect for you to pull him away, but you find your fingers wrapping around the delicate bones of his wrists and keeping him there, pressed against you.
By the time the two of you part, you're both gasping for breath and you find yourself half in Damian's lap, your chest heaving against his as his hands anchor you to him. He tips his head forward to touch his forehead to yours, leaning into you as you relax against him. A faint smile flits over his lips at the way you sag against his chest, letting the tension you've lived with for so long slip ever so slightly off your shoulders.
Eventually, he brings a hand to cup your cheek again, firmly this time, moving just enough to look at you. You're close still - close enough that you can feel his lips brush against yours as he talks and you can't help but notice the way his heart beats against his chest and into yours.
"It was always you," he says in that voice that you know is reserved for you - that voice that's gentle and loving and full of so much emotion that it nearly wavers. "There was never anyone else - not even in my thoughts. Certainly not pressed up against me like this."
You huff at his words, your cheeks beginning to feel hot as you pull away from him just enough to let your head fall to his shoulder, your face hidden from him. He lets you, thankfully, humming in contentment and just a touch of smugness as he pulls you closer to him, your weight a welcoming blanket.
"I think…"  you begin, pulling your face away from his neck to look at him again. "I think this may have been inevitable. I think we… might have been inevitable." Damian grins at your words, his smile flashing in a way that makes your stomach swoop.
"I think you're right," he says firmly. Sounds of the gala float up towards the two of you as you sit together, leaning against each other. "I was, by the way," he continues. You cock your head to the side.
"What?"
"I was waiting for you. And I would again, if I needed to. Until the end of my days." Damian says it so simply, so matter-of-factly, and something in your brain feels fuzzy because of it.
"Well… I'm sorry to have kept you waiting for so long," you respond gently, a smile passing across your lips quickly. Damian's returning smile is just as small - just as shy. His voice, in his response, is soft in a way that blankets you.
"You don't need to apologize. Your mistakes are not sins to me and your missteps do not demand penance. You will never have to ask for my forgiveness because it will always be given… without question, without hesitation, without uncertainty. It's… inevitable."
You laugh at his words and Damian feels his heart soar.
"Yes," you agree. "I suppose it is."

So far, Jason’s return to Gotham was going horribly.
Sure, it had started on a high—the drug trade had been easier to take over than he’d expected, even if he had to hold back the nausea every time he saw a collection of syringes or packets of pills.  Black Mask had done exactly what Jason predicted he would do, and the Joker had escaped from Arkham exactly as planned.
And then Batman had looked him in the eyes—as Jason begged, as he pleaded his father to kill the greatest monster of Jason’s nightmares—and walked away.
Even the explosion he’d wired hadn’t managed to do its job—not on him, not on the clown, not on the Bat.
Jason had managed to recoup some of his losses by going after the Replacement—the kid that Bruce actually cared about, the black-haired blue-eyed heir he wanted—and proving that he was still the superior fighter, but it was a hollow victory.  There was no real satisfaction in trashing the Tower—it had never been his the way it had been Dick’s—and his enjoyment had soured by the time he met Drake’s wide, scared, hurt eyes and choked him out.
He’d managed to demonstrate that their security was laughable and their baby heroes pathetic, but he’d left a fifteen-year-old unconscious and beaten on the floor in the process.  It had left a bad taste in his mouth, one even the soothing, green-laced rage couldn’t wipe, and he could still hear the kid’s lost, confused, desperate voice.
“Jason—stop—why are you doing this?  Bruce loves you!  Just come home!”
In the moment, it had only stoked his fury.  Now it matched the roiling disgust in his stomach.  The disgust at Batman.  At the oh-so-sanctimonious heroes.  At this filthy, stinking garbage pile of a city.
At himself.
He—he needed a break.  From the violence.  From the killing.  From the rage.  He needed to get out of this fucking city before he lost his mind, and there was only a couple of things he wanted to take with him.
Unfortunately, some of them were in the Manor.
A photo of him and his mother.  The old, faded red hoodie Jason had refused to let Alfred throw out.  His books.
Before, Jason might’ve asked Bruce’s permission—before he broke into the Tower and beat up the kid—but now Jason was forced to wait until he got news that Bruce Wayne was in London for a business trip—coinciding neatly with the intel that the Justice League had a big, week-long space mission—before he dared to sneak into his old home.
He didn’t try his security codes.  They would’ve definitely fixed that after he pointed out that glaring mistake in Titans Tower.  But Jason had spent more than three years at the Manor, and he’d long since mastered getting into or out of the house without setting off any alarms.
The first bedroom after the stairs was the one with the window that didn’t latch all the way, and the security system couldn’t register whether it was open or closed.  It was a little difficult to reach, involving free-climbing up two floors, but Jason had been Robin and now had League training under his belt and it was easy to haul himself up on the ledge and jimmy the window open.
The bedroom remained barren, bed stripped, desk and closets empty, the room cold with the chill of desertion, and Jason shivered as he toed his shoes off on habit and headed for the door.  Alfred usually went with Bruce on his ‘business trips’, so the Manor should be empty, leaving enough time for Jason to get whatever he wanted.
He had the petty thought that he could leave behind some random destruction—if he was leaving Gotham anyway, he might as well leave a message that even their precious Manor wasn’t as safe as they purported.
But Alfred was the one he’d really hurt, and Jason didn’t want to do that.
Jason tiptoed across the hall on automatic, his steps silent and muffled as he crossed to his old bedroom door.  He paused for a moment to scan it, making sure no one had added any traps, and hoped that his stuff was still inside this room.  He didn’t want to have to hunt through the massive house, and if they gave his room to the Replacement, he was going to fucking set something on fire.
Slow, shuffling steps sounded from the stairs, accompanied by the tinkle of glass and china, and Jason paused.  That didn’t sound like Alfred.  The Manor was supposed to be empty.  Who—
Messy black hair came into view, blue eyes firmly fixed on the wobbling tray held in one shaky hand, the other attempting to hold up a crutch as the Replacement limped up the stairs.
Fucking fantastic.  Jason wondered if he had enough time to slip inside the room before the kid looked up—his attention was pretty firmly fixed on the tray with a bowl of stew and a slice of cake—but he was frozen by the dark, fading bruises across the kid’s face.
Around his throat, finger marks obvious.  The awkward way he was holding the crutch—Jason remembered dislocating that shoulder.  The cast wrapped around the left ankle—Jason could still hear the sickening snap of bone, the scream, the sound of his chuckles over suppressed sobs—
The kid looked up, three steps past the edge of the stairs.  And Jason watched the blood drain from his face.
The tray hit the floor with a resounding clatter, china splintering and skidding in all directions.
The Replacement stumbled back—and abruptly remembered that there was nothing behind him but empty space, jerking sideways before Jason could even start the instinctive ‘look out’.  He flinched, and Jason realized that he’d just stumbled onto the china shards.
Another panicked step—but the shards were clearly digging into the kid’s bare feet and when his good leg spasmed, his bad leg buckled completely, sending the kid crumpling to the ground.
Jason stepped forward automatically, one hand raising—and froze when the kid jerked back, pressing against the railing and all but scrambling into the corner.
Blue eyes were wide and shining, face drawn pale, breaths too fast and too shallow as his chest fluttered, knees drawn up and hands slightly extended, as though to ward him off.  Jason swallowed, and stepped back.
Okay.  He got the message loud and clear.  He was clearly the monster here.  Jason kept his mouth shut, and stalked back to his old bedroom.
~#~
His bedroom was just the way he left it, which was both exactly what Jason wanted, and also extremely creepy.  No one had even tidied up the homework sheets on his table.  It would make sense if the room had been locked and dusty, but it looked as though Jason had just stepped out yesterday.
It was enough to make anyone a little bit dizzy.
Jason retrieved the items he was looking for—the picture with his mom, his old hoodie, a couple of worn copies of books that had ‘property of Jason Todd’ marked in loopy handwriting.  He wanted to take more stuff, but that meant sitting down and figuring out which stuff was his, and which stuff Bruce had bought him, and the Replacement would’ve already set off the alarm so Jason didn’t have much time.
He hadn’t considered the kid in any of his plans—he’d figured that the kid had gone with Alfred and Bruce, or with Nightwing, or somewhere—and barely managed to tamp down on the seething annoyance.  The Replacement was always getting in the way.
Well, at least Jason was going far, far from here.  He’d never have to set eyes on that scrawny little shit again.
Jason collected his stuff and headed for the door—he’d planned to stay another night in Gotham, but he wasn’t up to dealing with the return of a furious Batman and Nightwing.  He’d have to pack the rest of his stuff quickly, and get out, and—
The lunch tray was still on the floor, stew in a growing puddle, cake a soggy lump, shards of the broken plate and bowl scattered all over the hallway.  Jason hadn’t exactly expected the kid to have cleaned the mess, but he had expected the kid to be gone.  Hiding.  Or confronting him with that stick, if the kid was particularly determined and had no common sense.
He hadn’t expected the shivering, curled-up form in the corner, knees up, head tucked down, arms wrapped firmly around shins.  Or the quiet, shuddering breaths, or the choked gasps.
Jason stared at the Repla—at Robin, pressed firmly into the corner like he was trying to make himself a smaller target, and felt the pit of his stomach drop.
He hadn’t moved.  Jason had spent—had spent at least five minutes in the room, and the kid hadn’t moved.
Jason took a step towards the room he’d entered through.  He needed to leave.  Clearly the kid thought—and Jason couldn’t exactly fault him—but Jason needed to go.  Once he left, the kid would come out of it.  Eventually.  Jason couldn’t exactly call anyone, the only numbers he remembered were the ones to the Manor, and they would’ve locked him out of everything in the Cave.
Red.  There was red pooling under the kid’s feet.  The pieces of broken china littered the floor like a minefield, and that was way too much bleeding to be a minor wound.  That was the kind of bleeding that needed immediate attention and probably stitches.
Jason swallowed.

Chapter one
You stood, frozen, a few feet from the door. After a moment, you snapped out of it, now very determined to escape.
You maneuvered your legs through your arms until they were in front of you. Unsurprisingly, the knots are good. Jason’s always been good at them, in and out of the bedroom. You pulled on it with your teeth, trying to loosen it. When it didn’t work, you stopped, thinking of another way.
You’ve seen your father do this only once, but he’s done it a few times before so how hard could it be?… You tried to remember how he positioned his hands, then took a deep breath. After a few seconds of trying to make yourself do it, you scoffed- questioning why you would even try it in the first place.
“Nope- no. I can’t break my fucking thumb.” Instead, you found a knife in the kitchen and slowly started working it through the rope. It took way too long until it finally grew loose and fell to the floor, but once it did, you searched for a way out or a way to contact your father. After being unsuccessful, you sighed and sat on the couch.
The door being slammed shut made you bolt up- you must’ve fallen asleep. Jason walked straight into his room, not even looking at you.
“You have to let me contact him.” You said after he walked back out, now without his helmet.
“No.”
“You can’t just keep me here forever.” You snapped, crossing your arms over your chest.
“Don't tempt me, princess.”
“Jason, I’m serious.” He sighed and finally looked at you.
“I don’t plan to. But until this is done, you’re staying here.”
“What is this?” When he didn’t respond, you huffed. Then, “Does he know it’s you?” That made him freeze again.
“He should, since he’s the world’s greatest detective, but we’ve long since learned he doesn’t live up to that title.” Good. If he knows it’s Jason then he probably won’t be as worried about you.
“I need to let him know I’m okay so he can-“ You were about to say, so he can focus on stopping you and not on finding me.
“So he can, what?” His voice made you stiffen- you've never heard him sound so menacing before.
“N-nothing.” You said quietly, averting your gaze. You already knew he was giving you the “you better tell me right fucking now” look so you quickly changed the subject. “Are you going to kill him?” You asked quietly, scared of his answer.
“Not yet. He needs to suffer more first, then I’ll kill him.” You stared at him in shock and this time he was the one to avert his gaze.
“Jason, please. This is my dad we’re talking about. I don’t have anyone else.”
“You have me.” He said quietly, making you frown.
“You know that’s not what I mean.” He was silent for a moment, then cleared his throat and looked at you again.
“He deserves to die. You moved on from me so easily, I’m sure you can do the same for him.”
“What the hell are you talking about?”
“I saw you.”
“What?”
“With Dick. I saw you.” He gritted, making you stiffen.
“Whatever you think you saw, Jason, it wasn’t like that.” Your stomach twisted knowing that someone else other than Dick knew about that night.
“Really? Because it seemed pretty clear that he was fucking you.” He said bitterly. You swallowed thickly and looked at your lap, remembering what had happened that night.
It’s been a little over a year since you lost him. Dick was staying the night at the manor before heading back to Blüdhaven in the morning, that’s the only reason you even had this opportunity. He opened the door, hair messy, sweatpants low on his hips, and immediately invited you in when he saw your current state.
“I- I can’t… Dick, I can’t anymore, it- it hurts so much. I don’t want it to hurt anymore, please.” You whimpered. His hand cupped your cheek, wiping your tears.
“What do you want me to do?” He asked softly, gaze trailing over your face.
“Make me forget. Please, I just need to not think about it for a little bit.” You whispered, tentatively placing your hands on his chest.
“Are you sure?” Instead of answering, you placed a hand on the back of his neck and pulled him into a kiss. He was frozen for a beat before reciprocating. Never breaking the kiss, he walked you toward his bed and gently laid you down, then crawled over you. The rest of the night was filled with soft moans, whimpers of his name, and you forcing your thoughts back to him every time they wandered.
Afterwards, he laid next to you, both of you panting and staring at the ceiling. Without his touch, all of the thoughts came back full force and you recoiled away from him as you jolted up. You couldn’t even formulate a sentence but he seemed to understand when you gathered your pajamas and hurried back to your room.
You felt sick to your stomach. You used your best friend to forget about your dead boyfriend- his brother. The rest of the night was filled with quiet sobs and silent apologies to Jason.
“I know you won’t believe me, but it really wasn’t like that, Jay.”
“I mean, I always figured you’d eventually move on to Dick. I didn’t think I’d have to die for that to happen though.” He scoffed bitterly.
“That’s not what happened.” You said quietly, feeling nausea start to build in your stomach at the thought of you being the cause of some of his pain. “I’m sorry.” You whispered, eyes burning with unshed tears.
“What, now you’re gonna cry? You’re a big girl, you made the decision to use my own brother as a fucking rebound, so deal with it.” He spat and you let out a quiet sob as you turned to face the other side of the room. He was right… After doing what you thought was going to make you feel better, you only felt worse. Now instead of thoughts of his death and the torture he might’ve endured, it was also about how you betrayed him. You could have picked anyone else on the planet, but you chose Dick. The person Jason felt has always gotten everything and more. The only person he was ever worried you would leave him for.
“How long did you wait, huh?” His voice was much closer now and then you felt a hand in your hair, painfully pulling you to face him.
“Or did this start before I was kidnapped?” He sneered.
“No! No, it- it only happened once.” You sobbed, wishing you could turn your head away from him. “I thought… I thought he could help me.”
“Help you?” He scoffed.
“Yes! Because the love of my life was fucking murdered and for over a year, every single time I fell asleep or let my thoughts wander, my stupid fucking brain would make up things that might’ve happened to you since my dad didn’t let me see the video. So I was hoping that for just one fucking night, I wouldn’t have to think about that.” You yelled, tears streaming down your cheeks. His grip on your hair grew slack until his hand fell to his side.
“And did he?” He asked quietly.
“No.” A heavy silence filled the room and you looked down at your lap again. “I’m sorry, Jason.” You whispered. He sighed and started walking away. “You’re still mad at me?” The venom in your voice poorly masked your sadness.
“No I’m not fucking mad at you! How can I be after that shit?” He exclaimed, running a hand through his hair and closing his eyes.
“It’s okay if you are.” You said softly, despite the fact that your chest ached at the thought. “Just don’t be mad at Dick, it wasn’t his fault.” He let out another heavy sigh and walked back over, sitting on the right side of the couch, as far away from you as possible. You stared at the scar on his face, feeling bile rise in your throat as you imagined him screaming and crying. Or maybe by then he had been so tired- so broken, that he couldn’t even scream. Clenching your jaw as your eyes started to burn again, you wished that Joker was still alive so you could kill him yourself.
“Hey,”
“Huh?” You asked, moving your gaze to his eyes. Clearing your throat and willing the tears to disappear, you forced yourself to pay attention- to not let your thoughts wander again.
“I asked if you’re okay.”
“Oh. Yeah- sorry.” You lied, gaze straying back to the scar. How many other scars does he have now? Your eyes moved down to his body, imagining all of the places he could be permanently marred.
“I’d make a joke about you undressing me with your eyes but you actually look like you’re about to start crying.” He chuckled dryly, making you look up at him again.
“Sorry. I’m sorry.” Swallowing the lump in your throat, you forced yourself to look at the ground.
A lot could’ve happened in over a year. So some of your made up scenarios are probably true. Was it only Joker or were there others? Did they only torture him physically and emotionally? Or did they torture him... sexually too?
You could barely even finish the thought before bile was quickly rising up your throat, making you run to the bathroom. This wasn’t the first time you’ve gotten so nauseous thinking about what happened to him that you actually threw up. You slammed the door shut, not wanting him to see you like this, and once you finished throwing up you just sat on the floor and cried. You felt so fucking weak. And he probably needed you to be the strong one right now so you can help him with what he’s going through.
A hand on your knee made you jump. Jason was sitting next to you, offering you a glass of water that you gratefully took to swish in your mouth and spit back out into the toilet before closing the lid and flushing it.
“I’m sorry.” You croaked, not able to look at him.
“If I knew it was going to be this hard on you I would’ve stayed away. I’m sorry, sweetheart.” He pulled you into him, letting you rest your head on his chest as you tried to calm down.
“What happened to you?” You whispered and he stiffened.
“Baby, I don’t really think it’s the best idea for me to tell you. Just try not to think about it, okay?”
“I can’t.” You whimpered.
“How about I help you?”
“How?” He didn’t respond. Instead, he helped you stand, got out an extra toothbrush and put toothpaste on it, then handed it to you. You took it and tiredly brushed your teeth, watching through the mirror as he wrapped his arms around your waist and placed his chin on your head as he waited. You leaned back into his body and let your eyes fall closed, focusing on his chest moving with each breath and his thumb rubbing soothing circles on your side.
When you finished, he picked you up bridal style, making you release a startled giggle, and carried you into his bedroom. He gently set you on the bed, then started removing his tactile gear. You eyed him curiously until he was in just an undershirt and underwear. When he laid down next to you on his side, you mirrored the position.
“However you want me to help, I will. Whatever you want. We can just lay here and talk to get your mind off it or I can help you another way.” He said softly, bringing a hand up to brush your hair behind your ear, then cup your cheek.
“I need you, Jay.” You whispered, eyes fluttering down to his lips.
“Are you sure?” He rasped.
“Please.” That was all it took for him to slowly move forward and press his lips to yours. The kiss was tentative, experimental, but quickly deepened. His hand moved to the back of your neck to hold you against him as you moved yours to fist his shirt, pulling him closer. Without breaking the kiss, he pulled you on top of him, his freehand rubbing up and down your back in soothing motions.
“I missed you so much, baby.” He whispered against your lips, making you whine. When his hands moved to the hem of your shirt, you pulled back and ripped it over your head, then continued the kiss. Warm hands snaked up your back until he met your bra, effortlessly unclasping it and sliding it off your arms to the growing pile on the floor. You moved your hand to his cheek, gasping when you felt the raised skin.
“I- I’m sorry. I forgot and it startled me.” You said nervously, worried you had upset him.
“Don’t be sorry, princess.” You could tell he was being genuine. Leaning down slowly, you pressed a tentative kiss to the marred skin, watching his cheeks turn pink.
“C’mere.” He mumbled, pulling you into another kiss. “I love you.”
“I love you too. So much, Jay.” His smile was infectious and soon enough you were both sporting lovesick grins. He swiftly rolled both of you over, never breaking the kiss, and settled between your legs. Your hands made their way to his hair as he started trailing kisses down your neck, sometimes stopping to leave a mark. He quickly reached your chest and took your nipple into his mouth, groaning against you as his fingers stimulated the other one. When he was satisfied, he moved to the next one, giving it the same treatment.
You did your best to just focus on the feel of him and not let your thoughts wander. But even though he was right here in your arms, you still had trouble believing this was real.
“Am- am I…” He pulled up to look at you and you brought your hands down to his cheeks. “I’m so scared this is just another dream.” You whispered, gaze rapidly moving over his face, trying to re-memorize it just in case.
“I’m real, baby. It’s really me.” He said softly, bringing a hand up to cup your cheek. Slowly leaning down, you felt his breath fan your lips for only a second before he was kissing you. Your grip tightened on his face, scared that if you let go, he’d disappear. After a moment, you pulled back, gasping and panting, keeping him close to you. Opening your eyes to find him already looking at you, you nodded, giving him permission to keep going.
Jason continued his path down your chest and stomach until he reached your pants. He slowly dragged them down your legs, teasing you, and you tugged on his hair, expressing your impatience. He just chuckled and finished pulling them off, then placed his hands on your hips, tracing the fabric of your underwear with his thumbs.
“I’ve always loved these. My second favorite pair.” He said quietly, a smile tugging at the corners of his lips. Your hips bucked subconsciously and he looked at you with a teasing glint in his eyes.
“Have you forgotten your manners?” He said with a smirk, making you blush.
“…Please.” You muttered, embarrassed. When he didn’t move, you let out a needy whine. “Jay, please.” You pouted, giving him puppy dog eyes.
“How can I say no to that face?” He cooed, pulling your underwear off, then parting your legs and settling between them. When he licked his lips and let out a low groan, even your ears grew warm with a blush.
“So fuckin pretty.” He said under his breath, moving onto his stomach. “Perfect.” He placed a soft kiss to the inside of your thigh and you lightly tugged on his hair again.
“Jay, stop teasing.” You frowned.
“I’ve waited years for this. I’m taking my fucking time.” He growled. Despite his words, he slid his arms under your legs to pull you into him and immediately dove in, licking a slow stripe up your folds.
“O- oh… Jay,” You said breathlessly, hips flinching when he let out a loud moan. Like a man starved, once he got a taste, he grew even more eager. He lapped up your arousal as he fucked his tongue inside of you, but when he moved up and sucked your clit into his mouth, you let out a strangled moan, pulling him against you by his hair.
“Fuck! Oh my god… Jason,” You whimpered, unable to control the way your hips were rutting against his face. It felt as good as you remembered, maybe even better, and when a finger easily slid inside your drooling hole, all of your thoughts just completely vanished.
“How’s that feel, princess?” He grumbled against your clit, making your hips buck toward the low vibrations.
“Good- so fucking good, Jay.” You whined breathlessly. “Please don’t stop.” He inserted another finger, making your grip tighten in his hair as you threw your head back with a loud moan. The coil in your belly was so fucking tight and you prayed that because this was the first time in a while, he wouldn’t want to draw it out.
“Close-“ You gasped out, tilting your head back up to look at him. His eyes were closed and brows furrowed as he repeatedly sucked your clit into his mouth, never stopping the motions of his fingers.
“Come for me, baby. Please.” He all but moaned as his eyes flickered up to you. You held him tight against you as your hips maintained a steady rocking against his face. “C’mon I know you can. Let me taste you- I need it, sweetheart. Please.” How could you say no to that? He only had to suck your clit into his mouth once more before you were falling over the edge, feeling your entire body tremble beneath him. You sobbed out a moan, feeling so overwhelmed with emotions and feelings and him. But you never wanted to stop. You wanted to live in this moment with him forever, just feeling close to him and nothing else.
As you came down from your orgasm and grew sensitive, you knew he wouldn’t stop, so you pulled on his hair, trying to remove his mouth from your overstimulated clit.
“Jay- Jay, baby, please.” You gasped out, hips twitching in a useless attempt to escape the overstimulation. He reluctantly pulled back and you watched with half lidded eyes as he removed his fingers and sucked them into his mouth, cleaning them. You whimpered at the erotic sight.
“I hope you know that now that I have a taste for it again, I’m gonna have my mouth on that cunt at least once a day.” He smirked, making your cheeks flush.
“You’re so crude.”
“No,” He scoffed, “you’re just easily flustered. Now. Speaking of getting a taste for things again, if I don’t get my cock in you right now, I’m gonna explode.” He said as he moved up your body until he was leaning over you. You smiled, trailing your hands down his back and grabbing the bottom of his shirt to pull it over his head, but it quickly faded as you got a glimpse of his torso. Your eyes started burning as you examined all of the scars, ranging from knife wounds to a bullet hole.
Two fingers grabbed your chin and tilted your head up as he lowered his body until his chest was pressed to yours so you couldn’t see. But the damage was already done.
“Hey,” He said softly, moving his hand to cup your cheek. “Just focus on me and the moment. That’s all that matters, okay? Just us, nothing else.”
“I know… I’m sorry. I feel so stupid getting this upset about it when I’m not even the one who experienced it.” You let out a dry laugh, looking to the side. You really did feel stupid because of this and you hated it. It’s not like you.
“That’s not stupid. If someone did even a quarter of the stuff to you that he did to me, I would kill them in a heartbeat- Actually not a heartbeat. I’d cut off all their limbs and then just let them bleed out to really make them suffer.” You looked at him again and couldn’t help the way the corners of your lips turned up. “The point is, I would feel the same way. I’d probably also cry if I thought about it too much. So no, it’s not stupid.”
“I just- I feel so weak. And you probably need me to be strong right now after what you went through.”
“I’ve made my peace with it… Mostly. And I didn’t come back because I needed you to be strong for me, I came back because without you, I don’t have anything. Being away from you was probably the worst part- and I know it was selfish of me to force myself back into your life and open old wounds but when have you ever known me to be selfless?” He chuckled lightly and you scoffed at his words.
“You’re the most selfless person I’ve ever met.”
“That’s debatable. Point is, I just need you. Nothing else.” You gave him a small smile and snaked your hand around the back of his neck to pull him into a kiss. When you almost immediately pulled away, he tried to chase your lips, making you chuckle breathlessly.
“I love you, Jason Todd. More than anything.” The smile he gave you made your stomach flutter and your chest ache- you missed that smile so damn much. “Enough cheesy stuff. If you don’t put your cock in me right now I’m going to explode.” He barked out a laugh which just made your stomach flutter and chest ache even more.
“Yes, ma’am.” He said sarcastically, quickly throwing off his underwear and climbing back over you. The blunt head of his cock brushed your opening and you took in a sharp breath, waiting eagerly. He dragged the tip through your folds, coating it in your arousal and his spit, and you let out a low whine as you squirmed.
“Please?” You pouted, wrapping your arms around his shoulders and your legs around his hips. He didn’t respond. Instead, he applied more pressure until the head of his cock breached your hole, making your breath hitch. His brows furrowed as his mouth opened in a silent moan and he let his head hang down.
“Jesus- fuck. Squeezing me so fuckin tight, baby, I’m not gonna last.” He said through a moan. To be fair, you didn't expect him to. You don’t know what he’s been doing since he escaped, but you figured it wasn’t having sex.
“I don’t care. Please just fuck me, Jay, I need it.” You whined, making him let out what sounded like a whimper.
“Keep talking like that and I’m gonna bust right fuckin now.” He gritted, opening his eyes to look at you. You did your best to hide your smirk as you purposefully clenched around his length, making his hips stutter forward, pushing in a little more.  When he saw your poorly concealed smirk, he narrowed his eyes. “You’re a fuckin tease, you know that?”
“Yeah well I like seeing you blush like that.” You looked up at him through your lashes with a teasing glint in your eyes and he placed a hand on your neck.
“You wanna keep teasing me and see what happens? Or do you want me to fuck you.” He asked, squeezing the sides of your neck lightly. When you huffed and looked away from him, you could practically feel his smirk. “That’s what I thought.”
He moved his hips again, not stopping until he was completely buried inside you. You let out a ragged breath as you struggled to adjust to his size- honestly it felt like he was all the way up your stomach and you knew that he was. You knew that if you looked down, you’d be able to see where his cock was bulging your stomach. And you really fucking missed that feeling.
“Now you’re speechless, huh?” He smirked. You glared at him, but it quickly softened as your face twisted in pleasure when he slowly started moving out. He dragged his cock back until only the tip was inside, then slowly forced it back in. You whined as he kept up the slow pace, but deep down you were a little grateful that he knew and respected the fact that you’d need some time to adjust, especially after all this time without it.
He removed his hand, then suddenly dropped his head into your shoulder, kissing and biting the skin before moving up to your neck to suck the skin in his mouth, leaving even more marks. You couldn’t hold down the embarrassing sounds crawling up your throat, but they only spurred him on. His pace increased slightly and the first unexpected thrust knocked the breath out of you.
“Missed you so fucking much.” He muttered against your skin. “Thought about you every day- about coming home to you… You kept me alive.” He whispered the last part hesitantly and you let out a choked sob from his words. You wished you could say the same, but you were under different circumstances. You lost the love of your life and if you’re being completely honest, there were parts of it where you truly wanted to die just to have a break from your emotions.
“I love you.” Was all you could think of to say. He pulled back to look at you, thrusts never slowing.
“I love you, sweetheart. More than you’ll ever know.” You pulled him down into another kiss, eagerly chasing his lips as the pace of his thrusts increased even more. He reached a hand down to your clit, making you release a muffled moan into his mouth before pulling back.
“God- I’m not gonna last long either.” You said through a breath, feeling the knot in your stomach grow tighter.
“I need you to come with me. Can you do that, princess?” He rasped, cupping your cheek again and moving his gaze back and forth between your eyes. You nodded with a whimper and he gave you a proud smile. “Good girl. Just gotta hold it a little longer, okay?” You let out a loud moan from his praise as your walls fluttered around his cock, making him hiss. But despite that, you did your best to hold it, wanting to come with him.
It didn’t take him long before his thrusts were becoming erratic and frenzied, rutting into you as he desperately chased his orgasm.
“Don’t pull out.” You whispered. You figured he wouldn’t since he said “come together,” but you wanted to be sure.
“Fuck,” He choked out, hips snapping into you as he neared his orgasm. “I won’t, princess. Gonna fill you up nice and good- give you what you want. But you need to ask for it nicely.” His words were strained as he tried to stave off his incoming release. You wanted to whine and hide your face instead of saying it, but you were rapidly approaching the edge and you didn’t want to draw it out any longer.
“Jay, please. Need you to fill me up- I need it so bad.” Your whine turned into a sob as you clenched down on him again.
“Good girl. Good fucking girl. You ready?” You nodded eagerly, trying to hold it until he actually gave you the word. Only a few thrusts later, he choked out, “Come with me, baby. Come now.” That was all you needed to let the knot of arousal in your stomach snap. His lips pressed to yours, muffling your cries and moans as his hips stuttered to a stop, now only bucking forward sporadically, trying to bury his length impossibly deeper inside of you. Using your legs and arms, you pulled his body completely against yours as you savored the feeling of his cock twitching inside you, filling you up.
When he pulled away, you both were panting, trying to catch your breath. He rolled you over again, never removing his cock, and had you lay on top of him completely, letting you rest your head on his chest.
“I love you.” He murmured, planting a kiss on the top of your head.
“I love you.” You responded, in the same tone, then placed a kiss on his chest. You could see some of his scars with the way you were laying, so you let your eyes fall shut, but even then, you didn’t think of it. For the first time in years, you just felt truly content. So content that your brain was satisfied not knowing what happened. You just prayed it stayed like that and wasn’t only because of postcoital bliss.
When he brought a hand up to run through your hair, you snuggled into his chest even more and kissed him again, before letting yourself relax completely.

Brozone HCs (Post Break Up)
- first of all, i refuse to believe that John Dory was any older than 16 when the band broke up, maybe he's just baby faced, but to me, he's at most 16 years old, yall really gonna look at JD in that flashback and see a 20?? hes just a babyyy
- their ages when the band broke up are, JD: 16, Bruce: 15, Clay: 13, Floyd: 12, Branch: 4
- the tunnel escape only happened almost a year later
- Bruce found Vacay Island only months after the tunnel escape, he ran away from the rest of the trolls thinking maybe he'll find his older brother, but instead found Vacay Island.
- Bruce met Brandy and was in love at first sight, instantly tried to impress her by doing the whole Heartthrob bit, which only amused Brandy, but only when he started to mellow out and started to let down the Heartthrob title, did Brandy start to reciprocate.
- Bruce tried to do the whole courting thing with Brandy, but the second she liked him back, she was like "Mmyeah, youre my boyfriend now" and Bruce nearly screamed like one of his fangirls that he had to take a dive in the ocean.
- due to this, Bruce was the only one that didn't experience becoming gray.
- Floyd became gray after the tunnel escape, back when they were still within the cage, he still somewhat knew where his brothers were, except for JD, but he knew his big brother would be fine. so when they executed the tunnel escape, he couldn't find Clay and Bruce, and didnt know that Branch had started to isolate himself so no one has seen his younger brother either.
- he became gray and left the village, as he was going to look for himself. he didnt sing for a long time, but he did start writing songs and poems that eventually became songs, and had the spontaneous thought of singing one song and broadcasting it.
- the song became an instant hit, and slowly has he started to build his solo career did he gain his colors back.
- Clay lost his colors when they found the hold course to reside in. he lost it a few weeks living in the golf course, did reality set in that he might never see his family again, a lot of the putt putt trolls lost their colors too.
- when Viva saw this, as heartbroken as she was too, she was the firstborn of the king, and as their princess she cant let any of this sadness continue to consume her people, and she found ways to cheer the putt putt trolls up and bring their colors back, including Clay.
- Clay actually only started doing the boring stuff to get away from his previous title of The Fun One, but as things continued on, he did it to keep his mind off of being fun, because being fun reminded him of his family, the family he will never see again.
- but Clay does enjoy keeping the putt putt trolls safe and not gray, he even invented 'protocols' which were essentially games to keep them happy, which he would never admit were games
- JD's colours were on and off for a year when he left the band, and when he came to visit for Branch's birthday, everybody was gone, his colors went to a cooler colour where he cried for days in their pod, and then went gray when the tears subsided. when he left the cage, his colours were so dull, no bergen saw him leave the tree, bc he left with no caution whatsoever
- John Dory doesn't know how much time has passed. he used to have a calendar where he would cross out the days to keep track, but he forgot if he crossed the date out too early or too late and eventually just stopped.
- Floyd became a songwriter to multiple different species
- the brothers who had a hard time fitting back in the pop village from least to most was Floyd, Bruce, Clay, and JD.
- Floyd still had his social skills, better than the rest of the brothers due to the being a songwriter and all, Bruce, while not interacting with trolls, he wasnt living in the past like Clay was, and JD only had Rhonda with the occasional small talk to other trolls whenever he needed supplies that he couldnt make out of scratch.
- JD nearly died a few times. being mostly alone in nature was a lot of trial and error. he got sick/injured so severely that he would write barely intelligible notes about who his brothers were and to tell them how sorry he was and how to take care of Rhonda, pass out and completely forget about the letters. they're tucked into the nooks and crannies inside Rhonda.
- Clay tried to write letters to his brothers, if they were out there, but when it came to sending them, he didn't know how. so he just has thousands of letters addressed to his brothers, varying from asking how Branch was doing, if Floyd still bakes and how he misses his baked goods, asks if Spruce can tell him how to do his hair because it was growing out of control and he always had the best hair out of all of them, and telling John Dory how much he hated him and that it was all his fault and that he misses the soup JD used to make for him specifically, and how tight JD hugged him and missed his stories and how he missed him. How he missed all of them.
- Bruce had a bit of a hard time in raising his kids, not realising that the Vacay Puppets aged differently from trolls. that while most trollings could hold a whole conversation with understanding at the age of a year and a half, some even just after hatching, while his children only babbled and said very few words and short, broken sentences at age 3. he was very worried about their development until Brandy told them that they actually developing pretty quickly for a Vacay Puppet (idk wtf to call them😭😭)
- ppl think that JD is stupid, but the truth is he just misses social cues, and has been out in the wilderness mostly alone so, what is common sense to most trolls, John Dory has completely forgotten about
- Floyd is obviously the most sensitive, but this not only means he is quick to shed a tear, he is also quick to be offended/mad. sometimes it scares Floyd how much he sees JD in himself, but this also made Floyd empathise with JD somewhat, knowing the shame that comes after the anger that came too quick and left just as quickly
- accessory HCs: Floyd has a total of 4 ear piercings, all in one ear,
Branch has got both his ears pierced, the left being a small, mint green gem, and the right a magenta barbell,
Bruce def a navel piercing, a shell necklace with 14 shells on it to represent his wife and kids, and a teal, yellow, pink, and blue woven anklet,
Clay doesn't have any piercings but he does have tats on his legs of those fuck ass stars, hearts, and diamonds on his legs, all below the knee, bc Viva wanted to try tattooing,
JD has a tongue and nipple piercings, he doesn't remember getting them, all he knows he that he got really sad, and then next thing he knows he's awake somewhere he knew he didnt fall asleep in, he kept them anyway
- pop trolls' hair can change when they undergo extreme negative emotions, which was why Clay's hair went from straight and yellow, to curly and green
- when Bruce had an all girl quintuplets (bc i refuse to believe that they had all those children one by one😭😭) he named them Jane Dolly, Clair, Flora, and Briar ((btw i only just found out that Bruce only has one daughter but shhh))
- Floyd has written songs for/about all his brothers, but never said their names in them or even mentioned that it was about Brother specifically, always a vague family member or loved one.
- John Dory was the best at any culinary skill out of all of them, he's the one that taught Floyd how to bake, from how to make the fluffiest chiffon cake, how to laminate pastries, to knowing how to do everything from scratch, to how to do everything without any baking equipment, like a thermometer or a timer.
- However, Bruce, despite being a father and owning a restaurant, is the shittiest cook out of all of them, he either forgets an ingredient and/or under/overdoes it.
- nature is oddly nice to Floyd. not bc of anything in particular, they just really like him. JD used to call Floyd their lucky charm whenever they go camping.
- JD, Clay, and Floyd are adrenaline junkies.
- Clay knows pretty much everything there is in fabric making, from crocheting, knitting to tapestry making, he can do it.
- Floyd absolutely LOVES denim. he will most likely have one piece of his outfit be denim, be it his pants or a bracelet
- after years of being alone, and only having Rhonda be his constant companion, JD has a concerningly high pain tolerance, and being around such a big creature like Rhonda and no one else to compare pain to, whenever he does react to pain, he thinks he's just being over dramatic bc when Rhonda had a splinter the same size as the one he is currently injured with (AKA HUGE) she merely limped, so hed probably be fine.
- Clay looks the most like their mother
- And John Dory is their half brother

19 Reasons (Tim Drake x Reader)
It’s Tim’s birthday in my timezone, so I’m writing my first ever DC Comic post- yes- fiNALLY-
Summary: You said you wished your turning 19 year old Tim “Happy Womb Escape” by presenting a slideshow titled “19 reasons why I love Tim Drake.”
☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️
“Guess what day it is?”
“19 July?” He didn’t even bat an eye, busy typing away on his computer without a care in the world.
“Seriously? Okay stop working,” you closed his laptop and shove it away to a corner, “you literally forget it’s your birthday today?”
He looks at you nonchalantly before crossing his arms with an eyebrow raised. “Well, it’s not that important?”
You gasped in horror, dramatically rolling up to his chest with your hand pressed to your forehead and the other clutching your heart. “ ‘Not important’? My own boyfriend saying his birthday is ‘not important’? Non!”
He rolled his eyes, playfully and lightly shoving you away as he smirked. You grinned.
“I’m going to show you why it’s important with this slideshow!” You placed your own laptop on his lap, the monitor flashing a slideshow titled “19 Reasons Why I Love Tim Drake”.
“Oh god. This is gonna be fun,” he joked.
“Before that, I would just like to say,” you started, clicking to the next slide, “ ‘Happy Womb Escape’ to you, Drake.”
“Wait wha-”
“Now first reason!” You clicked to the next slide, cutting your baffled vigilante as you cleared your throat to perform your lines.
“Number one! He’s Red Robin, Gotham’s best vigilante out there! Ain’t I ever seen another like him!”
“There’s Bruce, Dick, Jason, Cass, Steph, Lu-”
“STOP- THERE IS NO ONE LIKE YOU!” You groaned in frustration, making Tim chuckle. “Yeah but I’m basically just like them.”
“I ain’t see someone who single-handedly took down the Joker? Obeah Man? Got rid of the booty shorts of Robin? That’s a crime, by the way.” You said it in a “matter-of-fact” way. He snorted.
“Secondly! He’s the most hardworking man I know! But also he needs rest so take notes. Third! He’s the biggest, dorkiest dork on earth who loves machines, science, and he googles the most random things on the internet just to give me a fun fact later on out of the blue!”
“Fourth! His hair is fluffy as hell and it makes him very nice to pat on the head! Fifth! He’s a nerd! And that’s cute! Sixth, Tim is the smartest man I’ve ever met. I bet he could find the last digit of Pi in like 2 seconds in his brain. Seventh!”
Tim smiled warmly, soon becoming smug the more you went on with your points. He looked so proud.
“Seventh, is that he’s a bisexual icon! Enough said. Eighth! He lends me his sweaters and they all smell like him which is the nice part.”
“You stole them, you mean?”
“Shhhh, let the presenter speak. Anyways, ninth! Timmy bringing me to a burger joint on our first date and he didn’t judge me for it. I’ll tell you something I didn’t until now: I was pretty scared you judged me but you didn’t. So thank god.”
“I always judge you, Y/N, it’s alright,” Tim smirked. You looked at him with a frown, not amused. “Yeah, okay never mind, I should take this slide down.”
“Hey!” He said, grinning as wide as you were. “Next! Tenth! He watches over me even when he’s on patrol to make sure I’m safe!”
“You… know? I thought I was pretty well hidden…” he blinked in surprise.
“Tim, you may be a detective and that’s exactly the point. It doesn’t take some of your skills to rub off of me,” again, you said it as a matter-of-fact.
“Eleventh! He’s a skater boy, and he’s my ‘Skater Boi’,” Tim once again snorted, much louder upon understanding that pop culture reference.
“Twelfth, he loves watching old, 80s to 90s cheesy movies and geeks out about them all the time while we’re watching! Don’t ever shut up, by the way. Thirteenth! He always fidgets with his fingers and hands when he’s bored subconsciously! That in itself is adorable.”
“Fourteenth! He’s a terrible cook, but he still tries anyways. It’s also adorable~” He rolled his eyes, folding his arms.
“Wow, I feel so loved.”
“Yesh, and I love you very much as well, Timothy Jackson Drake Wayne,” you teased. He scoffed lightly. “Yeah, yeah.”
“Fifteenth! He is the best cross-dresser. That is all. Sixteenth! HE IS THE WORLD’S GREATEST DETECTIVE! Like he found Waldo every 2 seconds, finished 5 books of him in 1 minute,” you said, doing an amateur explosion side effect by saying “kaploosh” with your hands doing the mind-blown action.
“Again, Bruce and everyone else in my family.”
“Again, there is no one like you, Detective Tim. Seventeenth! Best photographer! Also enough said! Love everything you take, sweetie! Eighteenth! He makes using a metal stick look badass!”
“And lastly! Nineteenth! Drum roll please!” You use your knuckles to lightly drum against the wooden floors. “He’s Tim Drake! What’s not to love?” You smiled. It was so contagious that he found himself smiling as stupid and gleefully as you did.
He had always been insecure of his abilities and himself in general, so he was so flustered and gooey on the inside with how genuine you were with each point. Although, his flustered-ness was showing with pink blooming on his cheeks.
“Okay, guess I understand why my birthday’s important now.”
“Glad you understood my report, Mr Drake!” You smiled at him.
“So now I shall say,” you drum-rolled again, quickly tossing your arms around him and lightly pecked his cheek with a grin.
“I love you, Timothy Jackson Drake Wayne.”
He smiled at you lovingly, cupping your cheek as he gently brushed his thumb against it. “And I love you, too, YF/N L/N. Thanks for your birthday gift.”
You laughed sweetly. “The gift is you, technically~”

My Thought(tm) of the Day! A Do-Over Verse! (o.o ) oh?
Yes! Tim. Glorious, brave, sexy. Dies in battle. It's the Big One, ya'll. A doomed timeline. Worst case scenario. Falling cities, few struggling survivers. The works.
Thing is? For each of them? That worst case scenario is DIFFERENT. Maybe one gets zombies. Another an alien invasion. A hell gate. Regardless, they survive. Fight and live on. Find The Rewind Clock.
A stopwatch that ticks backwards. One use. They.... they have so many regrets. Enemies are closing in. Bloodloss getting to them. They just want to see their family again. Be... better. Nicer to Tim. Save the world.
Click.
Time Rewinds ⏪.
And suddenly? Bruce is... sore. Not burned, parched, and cornered by literal cackling demons as the world burns. Not on his last leg. The last Wayne. The last hope of humanity, a species soon to finally die.
No. He's... exhausted. Wearing clothes he never wanted to see again. Stubble on his face and the ache of recent weeping in his throat. These are his mourning clothes. He's sitting at the Batcomputer. And checking the security feeds?
There is a determined, baby faced, young Timothy Drake... walking himself up the drive. A folder of damning evidence under his little arm.
Jason is dead and soon won't be. And Tim... he... he can start over.
He gets up. This time, he answers the door, instead of Alfred. Is serious when Tim lays out his case. Nods at the right moments. Tells him he's right.
Makes him Robin.
He's better this time. Gives feedback. Doesn't play mind games. Nurtures his brilliance. And Tim? Soaks it up. It burns Bruce, how easy it all could have been. The WARMTH Tim so freely offers. After so many mistakes? Bruce craves it like an addict.
But nothing could ever just be free, could it?
That damn end of the world scenario. He finally tracks it down. Has a MONTH left before Jason should be back. Only to get dragged into literal Hell along side Constantine and have to fight his way out. They close the damn gate. Forever.
It takes two months.
He's in pieces. Injured and still reeling from the horrors he's seen. But he has to try. Try to go get his son. Tim stops him. Keeps him from killing himself, trying to invade the heart of the League while half dead. But after the fires... all the fires... he's so cold. They JEERED and mocked him with his failures.
Like an Addict.
He needs to be closer. Closer and closer. Needs to cherish and be kind and SHOW Tim how much he means to him. But he can't! A lifetime if words trapped, refuse to break free, even now. The only time he's EVER been so intimate and soft is when he...
Wires not so much cross as long ago corroded. He NEEDS. He's kissing Tim's neck. Hands gentle. See? He CAN be gentle. Be tender and good. Not even taking for himself, just massaging muscles loose. Stroking soft, soft skin. Pulling close to cuddle, warm and precious, as he rubs and rubs until Tim comes apart under his gentle hands.
Tim clings so tight. Is punchdrunk and twitching. A first.
His Robin trusts him. Loves him. Is a curious, insatiable, lad. What new, unexpected, and pleasant thing is THIS? Tim let's him have so many firsts.
But what of Dick? Brother and Protecter of Timmeryly Innocence? He faced Vampires. Because of course it had to be sexy, sexy, Vampires. Frankly, he half expected it. But as they close in? He stands atop the hoard of every explosive left he could salvage and wonders if his family would have proud.
If this stupid stop watch will even work.
Where, exactly, he would have taken Timmers for a "Yay We Won!" Celebration dinner if they had, indeed, actually won. He misses pizza. And his friends. But most of all? His family.
Eat several hundred tons of chemical reactions, fuckers.
Click.
He's just finished unlocking a door he is VERY certain he sent a vampiric Deathstroke face first through. The door swings open aaaaand.... yep, that's his old apartment. What day is-?
Tim squeezes by him to start poking around.
Oh.
Dick stops caring. Tim is ALIVE. Smiling at him and joking. Dick feels floaty and far away. Let's Tim do as he pleases. And just... let's himself breathe. Feeling like he's wound too tight beneath his skin. Like at any moment a vampire will crash through a wall and ruin this beautiful dream.
Eventually, Tim notices.
He climbs into Dicks lap to hug him. Ground him. And... and something in Dick snaps. That heartbeat. That beautiful, beautiful heartbeat. Alive, alive, ALIVE. He's rolling them before he can think about it. Tim melting into his kisses. Then jerking and grabbing hold for dear life as he slides of the couch to his knees.
All but ripping anything that keeps his mouth from its goal. Spreading legs and holding them tight, so he can't wiggle free too escape how overwhelming it feels. Dick couldn't hold back if he wanted too.
And he really, really doesn't want too.
Tasting and swirling, sucking and fucking his tounge as deep as it'll go. Pinching and rubbing at that cute little clit. Sliding fingers DEEP to fuck and find and rub mercilessly against all his good spots.
If the apartment wasn't soundproofed, his neighbors would think he was murdering someone. Slowly.
He's so hard it hurts and can't bring himself to care. It's so GOOD to see Timmy sobbing on his tounge. Writhing on the fucking of his fingers, incoherently begging. The only thing that convinces him to STOP is when Tim's whines start sounding the wrong kind of desperate.
Fumbling blindly with a wet hand he jerks his sweats down and crawls up. Bends his sweet boy in half. He slides in so easy, after all the fingerfucking and orgasms. Timmy is so WET. Gushing.
It's perfect. He's perfect. Doesn't have to do a thing. Dick can lift him up easy, still impaled all precious and perfect on his cock, and carry him to the bedroom. Lay him down and work his cock in and out, sweet and gentle, of that poor over toyed with hole, until it becomes too much and he spills DEEP.
You just doze off, Tim. Let your big brother take care of clean up.
And so it goes~ Jason? Zombies. The jokes got old REAL fast. He blinks awake one step into Titans Tower. Changes plans. Catches his successor masterbating. Changes plans AGAIN. Since when was Tim-Tam capable of being horny? Who cares. It's been years by his view point and this is Hot.
He Dramatically Unmasks and pounds Tim through the mattress. Exits stage left, pursued by drugged up Half-Kryptonian.
Damian? About to die in the cold vacuum of space. Took the fight to them. Invade HIS planet, will you? Well uno reverse card mother fuckers. He's gonna invade YOU. ALARMING successfully too, they might add. That was their entire battle fleet.
WAS.
But, well, all men must die... etc etc. Death soliloquy. Or... you know... this stupid magical watch Jon insisted he bring. Meh. Might as wel- Click.
Mother Fucker. Jon was RIGHT. He must never be informed.
And... he forgot how Competently Sexy his Rival was. Shit. He was caught loo-! But Tim just? Grins? Says something about him finally "deciding to get along, huh"? W-what? What's happening. Why is he being pushed down onto a bench? Is this hazing?
Tim rides him dry. He may be a changed man. He can't feel his toes. What in the name of all that is small and fluffy is GOING ON!? Wasn't this supposed to be time travel? And of course, that's when he clocks the others acting Clearly Off.
The fuckers Be-Hornied his RIVAL! He's... something about that! He'll tell you when he can move again. Contemplated the virtues of matrimony with his long time Rival. But rest assured! There will be yelling!
-🐼
😍😍😍😍!!!! them all going back in time at different points and making their moves on tim, treating him nicer, more tender, not letting themselves be held back because they've denied themselves for so long and lost their tim already!!! bruce being the first followed by dick, jason, and damian who indulge and fuck tim and love him! and tim!!! loving his family so much and loving them in every way, letting them make their moves on him because this time around they love him and aren't afraid to show it!! all these versions of the bats who have lived through the loss of everything in an apocalypse and getting to live peaceful and happy lives with their tim!!!😍

“I’m going to ask you how you are and I would like you to answer me honestly.” chose your ship >:)
i went with jaysteph, 'cause i haven't written for them yet & they've been on my mind lately <3
i hope i wrote steph okay; i'm still feeling out her characterization ^^;
Tumblr media
“So,” Steph says, perching on the arm of the couch like there aren’t two open seats right there in front of her. “Here’s how this is gonna work. I’m gonna ask you how you are, and you’re gonna answer me honestly.”
Jason crosses his arms. “You boss Tim around like this too?”
“Sure do,” she says breezily. “You’ve seen me do it.”
Jason purses his mouth. He isn’t pouting—though the look Steph gives him insinuates she feels otherwise. His arms twitch. He barely stops himself from crossing them over his chest, or slumping back into the couch. All of which would only further her—mistaken—impression.
When he doesn’t say anything else, Steph says, “So… Jason. How are you?”
“Peachy,” he bites.
Steph crosses her wrists and mimics the sound of an incorrect buzzer. “Nuh-uh, buddy, try again.”
“Oh my god,” Jason says. His head falls back against the couch.
“Look, I know emotional constipation is like—our whole thing, but… a little honesty here isn’t going to kill you,” Steph says. “I mean— Do you want me to bring up the B-word? ‘Cause I’ll do it, if it means we can bypass all… this.” She gestures vaguely.
Jason grimaces at the ceiling. “Please tell me the B-word is breakfast. As in, you want breakfast for dinner and will let this go if I agree to make you waffles.”
She doesn’t even dignify that with an answer. Which—yeah. Fair. If Steph wants waffles for dinner, Steph gets waffles for dinner, no bribery required. He’s easy like that. (It’s that thousand-watt smile—the way it leaves him weak at the knees, stomach fluttering. All that romance novel shit he never thought he’d actually have.)
Jason sighs, throwing an arm over his face. He loves that she cares. Really—he does. But he still hates talking about it. Like—okay. Some of it is easy. He can talk about how pissed he is that the Joker is still alive any day of the week. But when you get down to the other shit, the personal shit…
It’s harder. The words stick in his throat, like he’s swallowed a big glob of peanut butter, or like he’s got the worst flu of his life.
But Steph is asking—and. He’s trying to be honest with her. Even about the shit he doesn’t want to talk about.
Also, she’s serious about bringing up Bruce. So. There’s that.
“How am I?” he repeats, as he picks through the snarled up briar patch growing in his chest. “I’m— not great.” Understatement. He feels like he’s unraveling at the seams, lately. Like, if he isn’t careful, eventually he’s going to unwind completely. “Everything has just been… a lot.”
Steph slips off the arm of the couch; tucking herself up beside him. He can smell the honey of her body wash; the coconut of her shampoo. It’s nice. Almost as nice as the warmth of her, or the fingers that find his hair, toying gently with his curls.
“A lot?” she repeats, softer now.
“Yeah.” He drops his arm, twisting his torso so he’s curled toward her. He rests his hand on her hip, stroking it with his thumb over her shirt. “I don’t— I can’t point to one thing,” he says quietly. “It’s Bruce, a little bit.” It’s always Bruce, and often more than just ‘a little bit.’ “The city, too. Feels like—like nothing I’m doing, nothing we’re doing is helping. Changing anything. An’ I know that’s not true. I’ve seen the people we’ve helped. But— the bad shit just keeps happening, and. It just. Feels hopeless, sometimes. A lot of the time.” He pauses.
“An’... I’ve been thinking again. About all the stuff I missed out on. An’ I know it’s not too late for all of it, I know I can still— I can go to college. We can make an identity for me, somethin’ I can live in. But, I just. I think about balancing that with everything else, and it just— It’s a lot. I see you do it, and you— Baby, you do it amazingly, and— I want that too, but—”
Steph quiets him with a gentle finger to his mouth. She lays that hand on his chest, tracing the fading graphic on his tee. The other hand stays in his hair. “It is a lot,” she says quietly. “But it’s also nice, to have that break. That connection. Reminds you that all the shit we see isn’t everywhere. It might help.” Her mouth quirks, a little. “And as for B. I’ve hit him once. I’ll do it again, if it’ll make you feel better.”
Jason can’t help his grin. “Only if I can watch.”
Steph winks. “I’ll be watching for opportunities,” she says. Her expression gentles again; and she’s looking at him with an expression so fond that it makes mouth dry up, his eyes sting. “Until then— What do you say we take the night off, yeah? Turn the living room into a blanket fort, order pizza, and watch all those movies we’ve been wanting to see.”
“That—” He has to cut himself off; swallow and start again, when his mouth isn’t desert-dry. “That sounds great, babe.”
She kisses him, brief and fleeting. “Of course it does. I have the best ideas. Now, get moving, Jaybabe. You start on the supports, I’ll call the pizza place. The usual?”
“Yeah,” he agrees, rising to his feet.
He doesn’t know how he got so lucky, but he’s not about to question it. He’ll just have to make sure he never forgets.

Jaydick and they are already in a relationaship with each other
but 12yo Jason wrote love letters to Dick and hid them in the library, adult Jason remember the corny letters, panic, try to find them, just to find out Dick found the letters years ago?
Pfffft, just imagine Jason waking up in the middle of the night and scrambling out of bed because out of nowhere he remembers those damn letters. Those sorts of details from his life before were never a pressing thing in the grand scheme of everything going on, but once the memory filters back into his conscious so much later, he's mortified. So, in dramatic Jason fashion, 0 to 100, he has to find every damn letter and burn them asap.
And poor Dick would start awake at the same time Jason throws himself from their bed. He's immediately up, too. Alarmed because 'are you okay? what happened? what??'
Meanwhile Jason is struggling to throw clothes on - almost an afterthought as he trips on his way out the door. And Dick turns on the light because seriously, what the hell? And there's his darling boyfriend, haphazardly dressed and sat on the floor with the sweetest blush staining his cheeks and oh.
Jason knows the smile that would pull at Dick's lips. It promises nothing but wickedness and no, nope. Not a chance. Go away, go to bed.
They end up at the manor together. Jason offers absolutely zero details, just that there's something he needs to sneak out of the library. Dick's an indulgent boyfriend, so he goes along for the ride. Hell, he makes it a date. They've both got keys, but forget that. They'll see if they can sneak in undetected. Might be fun to have a go in the stacks, right? That seems like Jason's sort of thing (and Dick's, because it's exciting to be relatively in the open //3///). It is Jason's sort of thing, but Jason huffs that this isn't the time. This is a pressing matter for Jason, so focus.
Neither of them focus very much because their impromptu mission slash date is more fun than the situation calls for. Sneaking in isn't so much a problem as their laughter giving themselves away. It's when they get into the library that Jason gets serious though.
Dick tries to help, but Jason adamantly refuses. If Dick wants to help, be look out.
(The only thing Dick is looking at is Jason's ass as Jason starts tearing through books - stopping only to glower at Dick, lips pursed as Dick shamelessly drags his gaze up to meet Jason's and smiles).
And yes. Jason scavenging for those letters. Only they're not carefully tucked away between the pages of all his favorite books.
The dread that would settle in him would be crippling. Jason would freeze in his spot, thoughts racing through worst case scenarios. What if Bruce found them? That might actually be the best worst case scenario. Bruce was always in denial of Jason's feelings for Dick, so he'd probably burn them. Or return them to Jason. Alfred definitely would have returned them.
His heart stops. Tim. The rat bastard. Probably saving them for blackmail material. And what the fuck, what if Tim shared them with Steph? Jason will never recover.
The possibility that Damian might have found them crosses Jason's mind, but there's no way that brat would have kept his disappointments over a lovelorn child's love letters because Jason is still Jason no matter how old or tragically dead he was for a spell.
'Let me help,' Dick would tell him, a gentle reassurance as Jason spirals. And Jason would slowly look at him and that blush would be back - only this time it's because Jason is actually genuinely worked up with embarrassment and upset.
The letters are stupid, but they're his. They were his to keep, his to give away. They're the most gentle reminder of one of the softer things from his life before - physical proof that his life wasn't all miserable, that he was young and dumb and hopeful.
'There were letters.' Jason would admit, head tucked into his knees, hands clasped around the back of his burning neck, 'I wrote you letters and they're gone.'
And Dick would be surprised, then endeared. He found the letters years ago during that period where Jason was lost to them. Alfred found the first - Dick looked through every book after for the rest. They helped him through one of the worst periods of his life; he's held on to them even after all this time.
'You were going to give them to me?' He'd ask, crouched beside Jason, bumping against him to draw Jason's attention.
It would take Jason a moment to recover, but eventually he'd look up and glare at the bookcase in front of him while admitting, 'No, I was definitely going to burn them.' All sentiments be damned, they're embarrassing as fuck.
Not to Dick though, hahaha. He'd love those letters like Jason loves him. 'But they're so sweet!'
Of all the worst case scenarios, Jason wouldn't have even fathomed Dick finding them because fuck. Fuck. The horror of his present situation would metaphorically turn Jason to stone. Just - pure mortification and betrayal.
Ensuing would be an argument of Jason wanting them back and Dick refusing - they were for him, after all. To which Jason would argue they were never sent, so no. Only Jason wouldn't really care in the end, because of all the things that stayed the same when he came back - it was this damn crush of his. Dick isn't a stranger to how Jason feels. Even when Dick knew [about the letters] (a whole other thing to be mortified by), he never teased Jason for it, either.
Because Jason asks, Dick still shares those letters with him later. Jason sits reading them with Dick glimpsing them over Jason's shoulder and when Jason looks -- Dick's smile is brilliant. Hopelessly endeared, helplessly in love. So warm and affectionate that Jason can't help but fluster, shuddering at the gentle press of a kiss to his shoulder as they reminisce together and laugh over times long past and the future they're building together, one day at a time.
Fun fact: this ask actually inspired another thought, but it was a little off the mark (because I honed in only on Jason writing love letters as a boy), so if you're reading this please know that a future dickjay thoughts is thanks to you, hahaha. Thank you, thank you~ this was fun!

Thinkin’ about the TMA/Batfam AU again. Thinkin’ about Jason’s identity reveal. Thinkin’ about how everyone must’ve felt. I mean…
It’s Jason.
Their Jason.
Sweet, happy, righteous, human Jason. The boy who kept Bruce’s morals grounded when the Web sang so prettily about how easy it would be to lightly tug the threads & make everything better whether people wanted it to or not. The voice that talked Dick down from multiple feral episodes, reminding Dick of his own values & humanity, when the Hunt dug in its teeth and nothing else seemed to matter in the world. Jason, who pretended not to be scared even when they were at their most monstrous. Jason, whose fear was tempered by love, leaving such a bitter aftertaste that it often brought them back from the edge. Jason, whose humanity they worked so, so hard to preserve that they’re pretty sure it’s what got him killed. And now…
And now.
That’s Jason. With eyes like hot coals and grave dirt under his nails, stinking of smoke & rubble-dust. Marked by the End and embraced by the Desolation while none of them were looking out for him. That’s Jason, cheeks hollow with hunger (because the Desolation craves everything but moderation, and for all the chaos the Red Hood has wrought, he still has lines he refuses to cross) even though they promised him he’d never starve again. That’s Jason, with blood & brain matter dripping from his fingers because no one was there to stop him.
They have to stop him.
They have to stop him. But none of them want to.
There’s the human level, of course. That’s their hero, their son, their grandson, their little brother. But there’s another side of it, just like all of them. The Eye still leaves Tim waking up feeling sick at the memory of those two trembling fingers resting on his cheek bones (leaving fractures in their wake,) while Jason said something about making sure Tim actually needed those stupid glasses Tim wore in his civilian life. The Hunt turns Dick’s fear & rage against Dick, until Dick doubts his own self-control to not lose himself and rip out the Red Hood’s throat to protect Dick’s family, knowing full well that Dick could never bear to return to his right mind with his brother’s blood lingering on his tongue. The Web pulls Bruce so taught he practically hums, unable to reassure himself when Jason so easily shrugs off Bruce’s threads, failing to reconcile the boy Bruce once risked everything to protect with the monster ripping its way through Bruce’s city, destruction beyond control, aftershocks rippling out far beyond the initial actions.
They’re all monsters, and Jason brings it out of them more than they ever thought possible.
They loved him, once. But he’s not the same.
(Would it be a worse failure to not stop the Red Hood from desecrating Jason’s memory, or to hurt someone they’ve all missed so much simply because they couldn’t look past his inhumanity?)

Villain Or Victim, Chapter 15
Tumblr media
Natasha and Clint went to speak to Echo after she had plenty of rest and was feeling more refreshed. She was sat on the edge of the bed twiddling her fingers when they entered.
‘Hey, how you feeling?’ Clint asked as Natasha sat down near her, he stayed standing at the side.
‘A little better, thanks… I’ve been such a fool. Believing Loki… I loved him, I thought he loved me, even though he never said it. He was just using me though… Said so himself.’ She closed her eyes hard and held back her tears, she was determined not to let him take another tear from her.
Natasha slowly put her hand out towards her and gently rested it on her shoulder. She jumped a little, but didn’t move away. She felt warmed that she was comforting her again.
‘You’ve never been the villain, you’ve always been the victim. From being tested on, right up until now with Loki. I’m sorry we let that happen, that we didn’t see through Loki’s façade until it was far too late.’ Clint said as he walked closer and crouched down on front of her.
‘Clint’s right. We failed you. But we want to make that right. And help you to stop being a victim, to become your own person again. To take control of your own decisions and life.’
Echo looked at her. ‘I… I already said what would be best.’ She said, though her voice did hitch a bit.
‘That’s not what you really want though, is it?’ Clint asked.
‘I… I am so tired.’ Echo said honestly. ‘I just want it to be over, to rest.’
‘But you don’t want to die.’ Natasha said.
Echo shook her head.
‘There are other options.’ She continued.
‘Use me to get Loki.’ Echo said knowingly.
Natasha and Clint shared a look.
‘It’s ok… I know that’s the other option, I’ve been through everything in my head over and over. I need to try and make amends. And I know you guys capturing Loki is the right thing to do. I know now, you were never going to try and take my powers from me, like he said. That serum has worked… amazingly. I can still do everything I used to, but I can control it. I can control my emotions.’
Natasha smiled and squeezed her shoulder. ‘It will get better, dealing with what you’ve done. You’ll realise that none of it is your fault. I’ve been there, I know how you’re feeling.’
Echo raised her eyebrows at her. ‘It certainly doesn’t feel like it will get better right now.’
‘It takes time. We all know that you could bust out of here yourself at any moment, and we wouldn’t be able to stop you. We wouldn’t try to stop you if that’s what you really want. But if you can help us take Loki in, we would be very grateful.’ Clint said honestly.
Breaking out had crossed Echo’s mind too, but she didn’t know where she would go anyway. And the guilt of what she did was eating her up inside. She knew she had to try and make it right. Worse case scenario, she could end her life herself if it came to it.
Then Loki wouldn’t be able to get to her. Though it would make him more difficult to catch and he could still carry out his plan to rule Earth...
‘What’s the plan?’ She asked them.
-
Echo had never felt so scared in her life. She was sitting in a park back in Switzerland, most of the city was ruined from the fights going on. But the park was the only place that was untouched by bombs.
They all hoped that Loki would find her there, since it wasn’t too far from where he’d been keeping her. She would’ve been able to cover ground that fast to get there.
The team were all there, in hiding. All had comms on, including Echo.
‘I don’t know if I can do this. What if he gets to me again.’ Echo whispered.
‘You can do this, Echo. You’re stronger than you know, you won’t let him get into your mind again.’ Clint said.
She closed her eyes and took a few deep breaths.
‘We have eyes on. He’s coming.’ Bruce said.
Echo’s eyes flew open and just as he said, Loki was making his way towards her through the park. His eyes were locked on her as he prowled his way towards her.
All kinds of thoughts ran through Echo’s mind. Part of her wanted to run to him and kneel at his feet, to grovel for forgiveness. But part of her knew he was the villain, she was the victim. And she needed to take him down.
But the way he was looking at her so intently, was making that really hard to think about doing.
‘Here you are, pet. I’ve been looking everywhere for you.’ He purred, putting on that smirk that made her melt.
‘L… Loki.’ She stammered.
He got closer, then stopped when he was a few feet away. He put his arms out to his side. ‘Am I not getting a hug?’
Echo froze to the spot, though Loki did notice her flinch as if she was about to move towards him.
‘I was testing you before, to check your loyalty to me. Of course I love you.’
Echo’s eyes widened as she stared up at him, her heart skipped a beat.
‘I always have loved you.’ Loki took a few steps closer upon realising she was remaining calm. He knew he had this effect on her, and he was relieved that he still had it. Not realising she’d had the serum injected into her.
He reached out and cupped her cheek, she closed her eyes and let out a shaky breath.
‘Right from the moment I first laid eyes upon you, I knew we were meant to be together. An unstoppable team.’
‘He’s lying, Echo. Don’t listen to him.’ Thor said to her through the comms.
Echo swallowed. ‘Do… do you mean it?’
Loki nodded. ‘I do, pet. You’re my world, and I love you.’ He leaned in and kissed the top of her head.
Echo began crying again and she slipped off the bench to her knees on front of him. ‘I’m so sorry, Loki… I’m sorry for trying to attack, for doubting you.’
Loki looked down at her with a smirk, but hid the smirk when she looked up at him through teary eyes. He put on a concerned face and crouched down, stroking her hair.
The team began to panic. ‘We need to move in now!’ Clint said in a panic, but Natasha grabbed his arm.
‘Not yet. We only have one chance at this, he’s going to be on guard. And so is she. Wait.’
Clint backed down, but he was antsy. He would never forgive himself if Loki was able to take her again.
‘You are forgiven, pet. I could never be mad at you.’ He slid his fingers down the side of her face, then stood up and put his hand out towards her. ‘Come on, I’ve found another safe house for us.’
She hesitated big time, just stared at his hand. Not knowing what to do for the best. But as she looked into his eyes again, she couldn’t resist him. She took his hand.

'I love...' (Damian's ver.) Damian Wayne x Reader (pt2!)
The media will always be annoying, but now Damian is acting off too. How do you stop this before it gets too much?
femelle reader, 840 words, enjoy!
- - -
You had originally given your speech to set things right. To fend OFF the press. Now, they just can't get enough.
You and Dami have been in the news for weeks straight.
With shameless photographers at every turn, being hounded by reporters at the most inopportune times, or cameras and microphones shoved in your face- life has become a game of hide and HIDE MORE. The paparazzi have been all OVER you and any other Wayne they can trap in a corner.
All this suffocating attention seems to be getting to Damian. He's been more quiet for some reason... Like he doesn't know how to act around you anymore. He will stare, then look away when you turn to make eye contact. He keeps his poker face on 24/7 and responds with "Hmm"s and "Hrnn"s. You managed to crack the code by the way, hmm meaning yes and hrnn meaning no, but that's no way to communicate with your partner! You thought it was Bat Business and that it would pass eventually, but nothing changed. You start to worry if it's the overwhelming media... or if it's you.
The wheels start turning in your mind and it lights a fuse you didn't know you had. You thought you made the right decision? Said all the right words? What more could he want? You THINK you know somebody, yet here we are.
Well. After all this time, you are not going to play some hot-n-cold game with a grown man. After breakfast one day, you grab him by the arm and take him to one of the many study rooms in Wayne Manor. You sit him down, stand a few paces away, arms crossed, and tell him out with it. This behavior is childish and he CAN do better. Damian states into his hands for a while, then he finally looks up and a hurricane of emotions hit like it's the first time seeing his deep green eyes.
His mouth opens slowly, dry and unsure.
"Is what you said about me true?        All of it?    Did you mean every word?"
You feel like your heart just went on a rollercoaster and landed back in your chest. Is that what this is about?? All this worrying and he just needed some reassurance??? You feel the need to spite him out for all this cold and standoffish behavior, but as you return to Earth to say your peace you find he is still sitting there waiting for an answer. Damian, master in strategy, is using his most cruel tactic- the puppy dog eyes. The reprimanding... can wait.
You take a deep breath, just like you did before, and take a seat next to him.
You take his hands and look right at him. You channel the love in your beating heart, and tell him everything he needs to hear.
"Yes, every word, but what I didn't tell them is this-"
and you see the color drain from his face. A little bit of karma for the past weeks... but then you continue...
"You were born and abused to dominate, to control without a second thought for others. You were pushed beyond your limits by the League, but you were just a boy. In that same time, you lost everything. You were abandoned and blindsighted. But then chose to pick yourself up and try a different path. You were introduced to another way of life and decided your own actions. You make your own choices, your own right and wrong. You have devoted your life to your family, your father, your city, and the symbol. Gotham sleeps well because you are out every night catching and stopping those who seek to do it harm. Your family is proud to have you fighting alongside them. Bruce, Alfred, your brothers and sisters, they're all proud of you because you are making choices according to your own creed. You honor them everyday by never letting yourself be consumed. With all the darkness in your life and in your past, you still make it through every day. That is your strength.
I admire that Damian. I admire the Damian you have become. I know exactly who you are and you know who you are too. All of that brings me even closer to you. I'm proud of you baby, and I love you."
You go in to end with a little kiss on the cheek, and intend to give Damian some time alone, but as you rise toward his face Damian brings you into a deep hug. You don't see it, but you can feel it. Wet, heavy tears on your shoulder.
You slowly bring your arms up to return his hug, and you rub his back up and down to settle him. You turn your head and whisper sweet words and more I Love Yous into his ear. He needs this. Your precious Damian.

Who's the Biggest Tattletale
Ranked from biggest tattletale/dibber-dobber to least. No reader.
TW for swearing, blackmail (yes really)/bullying (I think?), domestic/child abuse (Terrence Blake), violence, screaming.
Griffin
This boy can be a little shit sometimes. If he doesn't like someone and they do something at school, he will go straight to the nearest trustworthy teacher/staff and tell on them. Griffin can't hold his own in a fight that well (especially with older kids), so he settles for getting them reported as soon as possible.
Even then, if it's his family member or friend or something he'll basically blackmail them into doing what he wants or else he'll tattletale on what they did. He's pretty ruthless sometimes.
Billy
Listen, listen; Billy can be a real smart-ass dick when he wants to be. Telling on someone isn't his first thought in most situations--it's usually to get out of the situation at hand and try to let it play out--but he's not afraid to. He's the type to not tell on someone for shoplifting if he likes them but to definitely tell on someone he doesn't like for making the slightest mean comment. Priorities, I guess.
Billy's not so much of a straight-up blackmailer, but he will still be like with any family members his age of younger, "I'll tell your dad you stole broke my Superman doll last year if you don't give me back my Snickers bar." Wait, no, that is blackmailing, never mind.
Gwen
I love Gwen but she will report you if she doesn't like you and if it's serious enough. I mean, that on it's own sounds fair, but what I mean is don't cross her. Because if you do, you'll either have her chasing after you or you'll be in the principal's office for something you did like, last semester.
Her and her friend Susie probably gossip a lot as people do during sleepovers, so she's able to get dirt on others that way. Still, she'll make a deal with someone: don't tell on her to her father, and she won't tell on you. Anything to avoid getting in trouble.
Finney
Like sister, like brother. The only things holding Finney back from dobbing on someone are his fear of getting bullied and also his general sense of empathy. But trust me he's still very capable of doing it. He just doesn't report his bullies because if he does he'll get beaten by them. Tough world.
However, I imagine he also does it in a playful sense. He'll go, "I'm gonna report you if you don't stop teasing me!" but mean it lightheartedly. He probably won't actually report you, but he will walk up to the teacher and strike casual conversation to make it look like he is. It's kind of just how he shows he likes someone.
Bruce
Now we're getting into the "I'll never tell on you" section. Bruce is a pretty chill guy--it's part of the reason why he's so popular. He'll keep a secret most of the time. Honestly, he never bothers to tell on people when there's been a fight. Teachers will ask him what happened because they trust him, but he'll just say he walked right past it (and he probably did). Plus, the news will get around to them soon enough anyway.
However, Bruce still has a morale about him. He will report someone if they've done something truly bad or if they've hurt his friends. Bruce is loyal to people, and will adopt a "save the most" attitude, so if he has to report one friend to save more from getting bullied, he will do that. Just be nice, yeah?
Robin
Robin's literally so loyal to the people he's closest to. He'd barely tell on anyone for anything. His good friend got into a fight at school and the teachers want to know what happened? He doesn't have a clue. Yeah, sure, he bandaged his friend up after it happened, and he may have been giving them fighting tips earlier, but it's not like he was involved. Totally (/sarcasm)!
Robin's only gonna tell on someone if they, like, really, really hurt someone. Not even Vance's fights get from his mouth to the teacher's ears because he knows there's no point to that. Word will get around. But even if it was some super secret fight, he'd stay quiet about it and just make sure his friend is okay. So yeah, you've gotta really fuck up to get told on by him.
Vance
Vance tells on nobody. Ever. If they're somebody he likes, he keeps their secrets close to them. In fact, he's so wary of letting people's secrets out he doesn't let them tell him anything at all. And if it's someone he doesn't like? Simple; he just beats them up and/or screams at them.
Yeah, he's the best secret-keeper in town, surprisingly. Literally, if you are bursting to tell someone something but you just can't? Tell him. Just make sure you find the right time and be sure to not interrupt his pinball game. And be sure to have a few bandages on hand for the aftermath, too.

Love and Neighbors
Pairings; Clark Kent x Reader Summary; Neighbors with Superman, the two of you try to figure out how to admit your feelings for each other. And everything that happens after. Ao3
1- Small Talk in Elevators
“Good morning, Clark!” You said as you locked your apartment door.
Clark whipped his head to look at you as he backed out of his doorway, juggling manilla folders and his keys. He lifted his hand to wave to you, but the folders in his arms slipped from his grasp, causing them to spill out onto the floor. Without thinking, you were already apologizing for startling him, as you thought that you did, and kneeling to pick up the papers.
As he knelt to help you, Clark instantly noticed how nice you smelled, but thought again about how weird that was to think. Or to even notice.
You were scooping papers into a folder, not really noticing how out of order they were, but he didn’t mind. It was nice enough to see you this early for once, instead of later, when he was a bit more tired of being a reporter and the Man of Steel to have a small conversation with you.
When everything was cleaned and the two of you were heading to the elevator, you apologized again. Clark stopped you mid-apology. “It’s okay, trust me. What are you doing this morning? I never see you up so early.”
As soon as the words were out of his mouth, the Kansas boy felt absolutely stupid. He knew the question kind of sounded passive-aggressive. When he looked at you out the corner of his eyes, he could see the way your face twisted offended confusion for a split second before slipping into your happy morning smile.
You laughed awkwardly, looking intently at Clark’s reflection in the elevator doors. “Oh, uh, yeah, I started a new job recently at the new Wayne Enterprises building next to Lex Corp. Hours changed.”
Wayne Enterprises, he wasn’t surprised that Bruce was poking at Lex Luthor by building in his city, after all the recent conflict. The reporter didn’t want to think about all the articles he had written on the subject of Luthor vs. Wayne-- or how bad Lex was losing. Clark nodded, still trying to salvage the conversation. “Congratulations! What will you be doing?”
“I’m going to work to help lead the Martha Wayne Foundation in Metropolis,” You smiled to yourself, something Clark had grown to love about you. “It kind of makes me happy, ya know? That I’m doing something meaningful and helping people.”
Kryptonite couldn’t stop the smile that crossed Clark’s face. “Becoming your own Superman now, huh?”
You laughed, a snort following along with it. Embarrassed, you covered your mouth, but Clark wanted nothing more than tell you that it was cute. Shaking your head, you look down at your heels. They had to be new because he hadn’t heard the clacking of your feet as you got ready in your apartment until that day.
“No, he’s--I don’t think I’d ever want to be Superman,” You admitted.
For some reason, Clark found himself a bit scared as to why. “Why?” He felt he asked a bit too quickly. Though, if you noticed, you said nothing.
“Don’t have my very own pretty reporter,” You giggled, then grinned. “I also don’t have the balls of steel he does.”
Clark knew you didn’t know any better, but couldn’t help the blush that crossed his face, looking away so you didn’t notice. As you stepped from the elevator, laughing a little too hard at your joke now, he followed behind you with his own awkward laugh.
The two of you came to the apartment building’s main entrance, about to leave your opposite ways. You bid him a goodbye to go your own way, still amused, and he did the same. As Clark looked back at you one last time, catching your eyes looking back as well, he smiled to himself. Yeah, definitely didn’t have the balls of steel.
