Characters included: Vance Hopper , Bruce Yamada , Billy Showalter , Robin Arellano , Griffin Stagg , Finney Blake

WARNINGS !! : Character x reader content , no use of y/n , idk what else to say , Gn ! Reader , Reader might have some backstory I guess ¿? maybe a mix of Fluff and Angst ¿? Some gonna be shorter than others

Vance Hopper

You two knew each other for some time now , you were home schooled not so long ago so you didn't had an idea of Pin Ball Vance Hopper reputation . The moment the teacher assigned the both of you for a project , you weren't walking on eggshells like everybody else did with him while talking , you didn't expect anything from him , for you , Vance was just ... Vance . That's the exact reason why you befriend him in no time , your non judgmental personality , and you were completely unaware he wasn't like this with anyone , anyone but you . Even if your words were nice and honest he noticed how cautious you were with your movements and expressions , he thought it was weird at first , your voice didn't matched with the look in your face in his opinion , but Vance got used to it pretty quick , he's not a smiley guy either , he was ... A little more grumpy person than you . Just like usual , in the weekend you would stay by his side watching him play his Pin Ball game , and also making sure he didn't beat anyone if anything went wrong with it , but those are details . You got hungry and decided to buy Mrs Ellen a small snack bag , when you went back to the side of the machine ( not too close to possibly bump it though ) he started to get close to beating his high score . You gasped in excitement and then he heard the sound of the machine saving his new record on the top of it . Vance let go of the arcade game machine and started to shake you excited as well by your arms , you doing the exact same thing with the snack bag still in your hands

" You did it Vance , you finally beat your high score !"

You said with a smile while laughing of enjoyment

" See !? Told ya , told ya I would fucking beat that shit , didn't I !? "

You kept laughing and smiling from the happiness of had seen it happening after so long , so many failed tries were worth for this day to happen . Vance in the other hand stopped moving your body to stare at you instead .

You were smiling , smiling in a genuine , happy and .... He would say in a beautiful way too . Is this how you look like when you're happy ? The real you ?

Maybe he should try to get you to smile more often .

Confused about the sudden change of attitude you asked him with a small giggle

" Vance , are you ok ? "

Yes , he would be ok , as long as you are with him for a little longer like this .

Bruce Yamada

He was a popular and loved guy , he didn't had trouble hanging with almost everybody in school, and Bruce didn't have to do any effort in finding someone to date either . And yet , a particular classmate of his , you , was the one that had all his attention . A person that minded their own business and never had smile in front of anybody before , and still looks like a magazine model .

Bruce wanted to get close to you for years , but he never had the opportunity , ironically , he never had the courage to go straight at you and tell how good looking you are , you look so serious that you kinda scared him , but not enough to stop liking you .

The biology teacher didn't had a clue how happy he made Bruce the day he paired you and him in a project for the science , finally he could have his opportunity , his chance with you . Dying of anxiety inside like his first baseball game , he asked you

" Hey , I know we never talked before and stuff , but would you like to stop at my house tomorrow to speed up things ? For the project , you know ? Maybe we could go out somewhere in the weekend if everything goes well "

Looking into his eyes and with suspicion in yours you asked as well

" As a date ?"

He wasn't expecting you to be straightforward as well , so he fidget with his fingers a little and with a nervous yet bright smile he said

" Yeah , I mean , if you want to of course "

The recess bell rang and everybody stood up to be free again , you grabbed your book and walked towards the door , but before you leave you said looking at him

" it's a date then "

With a smile that could've killed Bruce if he didn't want to stay alive to see you tomorrow , God bless the biology teachers man .

Billy Showalter

His dog Harper was Billy's loyal companion , a very well behaved girl too , never biting things that she shouldn't , no barking unless there's danger or she's commanded to , not jumping into people in excitement , in general , a really good girl . The mornings delivering News Papers are much better with her by his side , at that hour people are still processing their awakening and there's little people on the street , but the ones that are outside never got a complain about her , in fact , they usually want to ask for permission to pet her instead . Lately someone that he seen outside at early morning was you , sometimes with groceries in your hand , sometimes only walking by yourself . You were one of Billy's classmate , but he doesn't talk with anybody in it , at least not anymore , and you were no exception . Sometimes he founds himself staring at you and then snapping out of it , trying to ignore whatever feeling he had to do such thing , but something about you , that mysterious unexpressive charm , the stern look in your eyes , is something that he can't quite describe with words and is afraid of digging for a definition in his mind . Unfortunately for this boy one of those mornings you decided to walk your rescued male dog and Harper for the first time ran away towards the dog to meet him , both with waggy happy tails sniffing each other . Billy stops his bike at a mailbox and runs towards her , to you

" Harper ! Harper ! I'm Sorry , she's never like that , I don't know what's up with her "

The female dog comes close to you waiting to be petted , and you were more than happy to give her what she wanted

" it's ok , she's a really good girl , she just wanted to meet the new handsome boy here "

Billy knew you were referring about your dog , but his stupid brain still made his cheeks burn from the blush , why's he's being like this ?

Harper licks your hand and you giggle from the tickle feeling in your palm , you smile , and he smiles too . More pleased about the morning you said

" You want me to walk with you while you deliver your papers ? Then we can both take the dogs for a walk "

Something more mysterious about you was how quickly you made Billy accepted the fact once for all about his crush about you , maybe the moment your face light up with your smile enchanted him

" Yeah , I don't mind , Harper hasn't seen that many dogs around anyway "

Harper always helping him in the simple things , she's for sure getting a special treat today after you're gone .

Robin Arellano

He may not seem like that , but he's a person with a good memory and remembers a bunch of people even they don't remember him ( Difficult to say since almost everybody in school knows his name ) . He remembers you from elementary school , Robin thought you were the cute one of the class , although his classmates prefer to call you the " quiet " one . He noticed how you never changed , always focusing on your studies and never smiling , not even for the photos , not even for politeness , always keeping your expressions neutral and seriousness in your way of acting .

Life crossed your paths the day a bully that didn't find his victim who didn't showed up in school decided to go after you instead , poor choice of decision , because Robin did , he showed up , and beat him up .

After he was done , he walked on his way to the boy's bathroom , but you stopped him , and Robin was deep down afraid he messed up things instead of making them better between both of you

" Robin ! "

Trying to keep his cool when he hears your voice behind him , he turns around and responds

" yeah ?"

Without finding more words to describe your gratitude , you kept it simple and said with a gentle smile

" Thank you "

Yes ! He did impressed you ! It was all damn worth it !

" No problem "

Robin walked again feeling like the main character of an action movie , and you smiled at him too ? You ? The good looking and serious you ? Nah he ain't forgetting this day for nothing !

Finney Blake

This year he wasn't sitting alone on the back on the class , well , he was still on the back on the class , but he was sharing his desk this time , with you . Finney had to admit it was hella awkward , I mean , he can't complain that much since it could be worse or Finney himself is too much of a shy guy to start a conversation or keep it on with a stranger . You , his desk mate , never talked to him , not even once , and your cold serious personality didn't make things easier , the two of you introverts , teachers never had to complain about the noise that you guys could make in class . A regular day in math class the teacher talked about the possibility of numbers being negative and being under the 0 , this got the interest of the students because it was something relatively new so far .

Finney murmured to himself casually

" Damn , not even numbers can't stay positive "

It was a bad joke ? Yes , but it was so unexpected he stole a snort and giggle from you , you had to shut yourself up with your hand or else more laughing would be heard by the teacher .

In Finney's opinion it was a terrible one , he's not even that funny , he was surprised yet amused at your sudden change of expression . Maybe he could push his a little further ?

" I guess we can't be negative if we just started "

You stopped from escaping a laugh from your mouth once again , maybe Finney couldn't see your complete smile , but your half closed happy eyes got his ego fly over the roof .

They say " stay with the one that makes you laugh "

So don't worry , laugh all you want from now on , he's good at math anyway , he can always teach you if you got too distracted for him .

Not like Finney minds your company at all .

Griffin Stagg

The day he saw you smile after 2 years of watching you keeping your face as unexpressed as possible , was the day a older group of bullies bumped into him , and God , he was so fine with being invisible for other students and not dealing with being a punch bag , that he tried to run away before they could do anything . Stronger and experts on making kid's lives hell , they grabbed his shirt and started to mock him and test him in front of everybody in the cafeteria . Griffin didn't say anything , he couldn't , or else it would be worse , he knows that like the back of his hand . 3 tall dudes , 1 grabbing his shirt , 2 grabbing each of the boy's arms , it seemed like everything was lost , but you pulled up the one in front of Griffin by the shirt and tucked him to the ground . The two boys left pushed Griffin to the ground as well , and went straight to attack you .

But you dodge all of them easily .

After giving the whole cafeteria a show to watch , the boys got up and swore that it wasn't over , but you couldn't care less . You walked towards Griffin and offered him your hand , he stays still without knowing what to say or do more than stare in confusion , until he spoke

" Thank you ... For helping me "

With a big bright smile that didn't fit someone like you , so serious and capable of defeating 3 guys , you responded

" It's nothing , now get up Griff "

Griff ? No one has called him like that before . But , it doesn't sound bad , right ? He kinda likes the nickname .

TBP HEADCANONS

• Vance likes to be nurtured and prefers quiet, gentle things. If you approach him nicely and you talk to him nicely then he won’t be mean to you he just has a trigger for aggression.

• Bruce is multitalented. One of those guys who can do anything he really tries to and has done a lot. He’s done theatre, baseball, he’s really good at braiding hair and is excellent at writing informative essays but his main things are studying unsolved cases and filling notebooks with information on thinks he’s into.

• robin boxes every other day after school, he goes to this gym that’s sort of old and kind of empty so it’s usually just him in there. He brings a little radio and hustles a punching bag for hours. Sometimes Vance comes and works out with him, usually they don’t talk rather just enjoy each others company (and music taste. I think they like similar stuff.)

• Vance and Gwen and Amy are actually really good friends for some reasons 9/10 of the times the boys can’t find Vance it’s because he’s at one of their houses letting the girls braid his hair. He protects them but truly he’s scared of them they’re vicious rabid creatures

•Gwen, aside from her dreams and shit, just has really good intuition and can read people like books. Which is why she and Vance are such good friends because she reads him so well she somehow manages to know exactly whats wrong at all times, besides, she went through a stress toy phase and now has a drawer full of them she doesn’t use and Vance has taken all of them. Win win.

• griffin doesn’t know how to ride a bike. He swore up and down that he did and billy got annoyed and called his bluff, hopped off his bike and pat the seat. He couldn’t even get on it he was down on the sidewalk in half a second.

•billy is an advent fan of the outsiders and his favorite character is Darry. He likes to associate characters to his friends and it’s an inside joke between them who’s who. (Finney is pony boy, robin is Johnny. Vance is dally, Bruce is soda pop (but also billy argued he was cherry. He wanted to be soda pop) griffin is two bit, and billy is Darry. (And they wonder why that’s his favorite.) Gwen thinks she should be soda pop and Bruce should be cherry and not reverse but whatever! )

• finney and Gwen’s movie is grease. It’s their favorite, they have The soundtrack on tape and know the dances. They sing duets, finneys danny and Gwen is sandy. Gwen’s favorite song is hopelessly devoted and finneys is you’re the one that I want

•robin listens to a lot of rock and a bit of metal (mostly because of Vance who just needs someone to talk to about albums he likes so he tells Robin cuz Robin always actually listens to them.) he rly likes run dmc and the beastie boys. Any fast paced or loud music is his shit. Finney doesn’t like loud noises and he doesn’t enjoy listening to that kind of music it makes him antsy so their common ground is soft 50s / 60s music. (I.e those magic changes - Sha na na & anything Ritchie valens) but most of the time robin plays whatever he wants on his stereo and just keeps it super low.

•robin and Vance have daily smoke seshs in the bathroom (one robin fought to own literally. Like he put a group of seniors on their asses freshmen year and now it’s his bathroom no one goes in there)

•Billy’s really into old movies and is constantly in the library trying to read up on old 1920s actresses

•billy likes classical music. He buys cheap tapes and lets them play softly in the background

•robins bed is in the corner of his room against a wall so whenever finney sleeps over he sleeps on the side pressed against the wall because sometimes he gets nightmares and makes monsters out of the shadows in the room but from the corner he can’t see them.

•Vance hopper is a writer he’s awful at SAYINg how he feels so he writes to people. He writes poems and stories and stuff and he’s a real good story teller he just can’t figure out how to get the words out of his mouth

•griffin has undiagnosed adhd and spent all of his life getting yelled at by his mother over it. He’s self conscious about himself and tries to do things quietly in dark corners but the boys are never annoyed with him when he talks or runs around or stims and it helps him come to terms with himself

• griffins dad and Vance’s mom are dating and have been since they were younger. They live together and even though Vance still has to go see his dad on a court order and stuff griffin always waits at the doorstep for him or drives with his mom to drop and pick him up

•Bruce is the oldest in the group and takes on a motherly type role. He’s always there to help them, constantly feeds them and buys them stuff and talks to them like he’s sooo much older then them and how he’s sooo tired from raising kids and working but deep down it makes him happy to provide and make other people happy. He needs to be taken care of too and there’s always someone there for him (usually Vance because he’s a little more mature then the others and notices when Bruce is down before they do. Not their faults though, sometimes they just don’t peep it for a while.)

•robins mom loves finney, she jokes about loving him more then robin All the time. Sometimes they’ll lay at the foot of her bed while she’s watching tv and just whisper to eachother. She enjoys their company and really likes it when they stay home she much prefers they just stay right by her side for safety

•robin has a dog named paco , he’s a 3 year old brown pit bull. Very rowdy and clumsy just like robin :)

Vance Hopper X Fem!reader

Summary: Vance and reader are best friends and he asks to hang out after school, but she thinks he wants it to be something more

Content Warning: swearing, kissing

A/N: Y'all...I don't know how I ended up writing this, but I actually really like it. Sorry if there's any typos, I wrote this whole thing in like a day (that's a record for me). And I apologize if anything seems out of character, it's really hard to write for Vance since he had like six minutes of screen time, so like 75% is based on head canons. Anyways, this is already too long, so I hope you enjoy the fic!!! Happy belated New Years!!! 🥰

You looked into the mirror, your critical reflection staring back at you. You looked like a mess. You sighed loudly, letting your face fall into your hands.

"My god, why the hell do I care so much?" You complained to yourself. After all, you were just going to hang out with your best friend...it's not like you hadn't done this a million times before.

Right?

No.

For some reason, this time was different. It all started after school. You met up with, Vance, your best friend after class. Although this wasn't unusual, you did this every day. Vance was extra quiet, which concerned you cause he usually never shut his mouth.

You asked him if he was okay. He shrugged in response, avoiding eye contact.

"Actually, can I ask you something" He huffed.

You said yes, and he proceeded to ask you if you wanted to go rollerskating with him after school.

"I know it's stupid, you don't have to say yes." You remember him saying.

"Of course I'll go, why would I say no?" You replied

"I don't know...I just thought never mind, see ya later." He said before turning to walk the other way.

You spent the whole walk home, and several hours after thinking about how weird the exchange was.

Why was he so nervous? You had never known Vance Hopper to be nervous about anything. It wasn't unusual for you to hang out after school...in fact you did almost every Friday.

Maybe it wasn't just a regular hang out to him, maybe he wanted it to be something more.

You thought about how Vance seemed to have a soft spot for you. Of course the boy had anger issues, he couldn't go a week without getting into a fight, sometimes even with his friends.

But with all the times you had gotten on his nerves, or done something that should make him angry, he had never lost his temper on you.

You used to brush that off as simply a friendship thing. After all, most people don't like to fight with their best friends, but maybe...you weren't just his best friend. You didn't know why but that thought made your heart skip a beat.

You decided to push the thoughts aside as you got ready to leave.

But now you found yourself sitting here, with a knot in your stomach. You looked at the clock next to your bed and realized you had to get going, so you gave your hair one last comb through, put on your shoes, and headed out the door.

The roller rink was within walking distance of your house, as were most places in your small town.

The wind whipped through your hair, making the extra brushing you had done pointless. You sighed in annoyance and continued walking.

When you finally approached the florescent lights of the roller rink you saw Vance waiting near the entrance.

You quickly combed your fingers through your hair, and walked up to him.

"Hey." you said happily.

"Finally, what took so long? I've been waiting here for like twenty minutes." Vance complained, crossing his arms over his chest.

"I think someone needs to learn some patience." You snapped.

"Shut up, asshole." He shoved you slightly, a small smile tugging at his lips.

You mindlessly grabbed his hand and pulled him through the door. The place was crowded, as to be expected, it was a Friday night after all. The music was at full volume, the bass echoing off the walls of the building.

You looked down and realized you were still holding Vance's hand, you shook it off and shoved your hand in your pocket nervously.

You saw Vance side eye you, and he looked almost embarrassed...

"Come on, let's go rent some skates." He said, beginning to walk towards the front desk.

After the two of you paid for your skates you put them on, and made your way over to the rink.

"Is now a bad time to mention that I've never been skating before?" You said nervously, this was something that hadn't crossed your mind until now.

"Seriously?" Vance said, rolling his eyes.

You smiled sheepishly, blushing slightly.

"It's easy, here, I'll show you how." Vance exclaimed as he stepped into the rink. He extended his left hand, and you took it.

As you stepped onto the rink, it felt like you were standing on a giant slippery magnet and your shoes were made of metal.

It was a fight to stay on your feet as you held on to Vance's hand for dear life.

"Oh my god, how the hell do people do this." you complained.

"Well you've gotta stop moving around so much." he said in annoyance, taking his remaining arm and wrapping it around your waist to support you. You felt your heart rate increase as he did this, and you realized this was the first time you had ever been this close to him.

Despite the nervousness you were feeling from the fact that you could barely stand, his presence seemed to calm you.

"Isn't moving around what you're supposed to do?" you shoot back.

"Ugh, shut up and just listen to me." He snapped, tightening his grip on your waist.

you stopped moving, and regained your balance. You took a deep breath and tried to move forward, you rolled a couple feet without error.

"There you go." Vance said letting go of your waist.

You began to feel confident and sped up.

"Do you think I can let go now?" Vance asked as he loosed his grip on your hand.

"Yeah...yeah I think so." You didn't want to admit it, but you would've held his hand longer. Although, not because you needed it for balance.

As he let go you decided to skate ahead of Vance. In overconfidence you decided to turn around so you could face him.

"Hey look I'm-" You started, but you lost balance again and rolled straight into Vance.

He instinctively reached his arms out and caught you, preventing you from falling flat on your face. You gripped his shoulders tightly, as he was the only reason you were standing upright. You looked up and found your face inches from his.

Your face turned red with embarrassment.

"Sorry." You mumbled.

He smiled softly, his icy blue eyes pouring into yours. And for a moment you thought he was going to kiss you.

"Move it, love birds." Some guy yelled at the two of you. You tore your eyes away from Vance's, and realized that you had been totally blocking people's path.

"We are moving, asshole." Vance yelled.

You moved forward and faced the front again, balancing yourself. You grabbed Vance's hand and intertwined your fingers. He looked at you, slightly confused.

"I think I'll need this for a little while longer." you said softly.

The two of you spent the next hour skating and talking, without a care in the world.

When you were done, you put up your skates and headed out the door. The early spring air was perfect, not too warm and not too cold. You took a deep breath and took in your surroundings.

"Wanna take a walk?" Vance asked, running a hand through his messy blonde curls.

"Always." you replied.

You followed him as he walked towards the park. The two of you walked in silence, which was uncommon. The park was pretty much empty due to the time of day. A few dim streetlights illuminated the sidewalk, making it easy to see where you were going.

"Here, do you want to sit down." you suggested as you approached a bench.

He agreed and sat down next to you.

"So..." he began, turning to face you.

"So?" you replied with a smile.

"Listen...there's something I've gotta say." Vance began. He took your hands in both of his, and you hoped he was going to say what you were thinking.

"We've known each other for a long time...and...I...oh my god this is fucking stupid I don't know what I'm doing." He sighed, this was one of the few times you had seen him falter. He always knew what he wanted to say or do, and seeing him be so unsure was a strange experience.

"Vance." you said, removing your hands from his and reaching up to cup his face.

His breath hitched as you made contact, and he looked down at you. There was a moment of silence as you contemplated your next choice of words.

You took that moment to study his every feature. The way his eyes looked at you with pure admiration, the few blonde curls that had fallen over his face, his slightly parted lips.

Well...you thought to yourself, actions do speak louder than words.

You took a leap of faith and connected your lips with his. The kiss was soft and short, but your lips seemed to fit together perfectly like two pieces of a puzzle.

When you parted, you couldn't find any words to fill the silence.

"I think you read my mind." Vance chuckled.

"Yeah..I'm good about that, with you at least." You said, looking towards the ground, trying to hide your beet red face.

"Hey." Vance whispered. He brushed his fingers under your chin, and tilted your head up to face him. He softly touched his thumb to your lips before tackling you with a second kiss.

This kiss was harsh, passionate, and just better overall. He placed his hands on opposite sides of your face. You rested your head in his hands, increasing the effect of the kiss.

You broke apart slowly, and continued to lean into him.

"I should be getting home soon." You said reluctantly.

"That's okay, I'll walk you." Vance offered as he stood up.

You rose from your seat and stood next to him. He put an arm around your waist, and the two of you began to walk down the sidewalk.

You couldn't help but smile to yourself, this had been a real date after all.

Headcanon for a Finbin/Brance Royal AU

Finbin/Rinney - Robin had been expecting some stuck-up, bossy-boots brat of a prince. The very opposite is what he got. Prince Finney is kindhearted, compassionate, and soft-spoken. He cares about his younger sister more than life itself and values each and every citizen of the Blake Kingdom for who they are. Robin didn’t stand a chance. He fell in love. And he fell hard

Brance - Vance knew he would be caring for the eldest child and next king of the Yamada Kingdom, and thus, held himself to a high standard. He was taught to say nothing, do nothing unless the king was in immediate danger or he ordered him to. He didn’t expect the future king to be so… involved. Prince Bruce wants to talk to his people, to know what they want and what could be improved upon in the Yamada Kingdom. He wants to help. Vance is surprised when he talks to him like an equal. He asks what he wants, how he can help him achieve it. Bruce listens to what he has to say, is… interested. No one had ever treated Vance this way before

Dating Vance Headcanons

Here's the Vance post I promised. Enjoy!

Tw for violence, bullying, bad/abusive home life. Swearing. Death/murder mention.

Okay, I'm going to be straight with you; Vance is an arsehole. All of his scenes in the movie are him being an arsehole and having anger issues. Vance is self-entitled; he knows he's the best at pinball and will physically attack anyone who dares mess up his score. He is not - I repeat, he is not - going to go soft and gentle around you. It's just not who he is.

However, he does like you, so he will be a tad bit nicer to you. And by that, I mean he won't punch you in the face. He'll hold back on the bullying. But don't mess up his pinball game. Don't do that.

So, you can probably tell I don't think highly of Vance as a boyfriend. I don't hate him or anything (not at all!), it's just that, like... Look at him. He is in need of therapy, not a partner. No offense to you, of course! If he likes you he wants you around, for sure. He just needs to take care of himself beforehand. If this guy asks you out that means he doesn't hate you, so he's probably less likely to bully you. So, I highly recommend nicely hinting that he needs to work on himself more before dating you. Please, for your own sake.

Okay, now that that is over, let's start on the fun stuff. Now, assuming that Vance is currently working on himself and has been for a while (which I don't really know how that happened) he'd be a bit of a better person. That means no automatically hitting/hurting people when they mess up stuff in his life. Sure, he still gets into fights all the time, but it's not instinct.

He will, however, gladly kick someone to the ground if they talk smack about you or your relationship. And by kick them to the ground I mean nearly kill them. Vance is not taking anything from nobody. You will have to stop him if you don't want him getting arrested (again).

Also, Vance is not a sweetheart. He will not buy you roses. He will not stutter when talking to you. He will not do any of that. You know what he will do? Avoid you. This man is acting like you have cooties. You'd think he hates you, and rightfully so. It's because he gets nervous around you. He doesn't let it show, but he has butterflies (and he hates it).

Surprisingly, though, once he gets help the relationship isn't too bad. There are ups and downs, but in the end he does put in an effort for you. Crazy, right? And you'd be insane if you didn't put in effort for him. After all, it's not every day you get someone like Vance to like you.

Vance makes time for you. Outside of his schedule of being at school and the Grab n Go, he likes to be with you. Of course, some of this time is spent watching him play pinball silently at the very Grab n Go I just mentioned, but I digress. Other time is spent wandering around town or hanging out at your place.

Vance especially likes your place over his. I headcanon his home life is pretty rough; his father is a drunk like Terrence Blake, and although he actually has his mother around, she feels powerless to do anything and has no job. So, Vance likes to get out of there by going over to yours.

The only problem is his younger sister. She's a toddler, and there's no way he's leaving her at home alone with a situation like his. So, he takes her with him to yours. And this leads to my next point; you better be good with kids. Vance does care about some people, albeit very few. And his sister is one of them. So, if you can't handle her well, then it's going to get rough.

I feel like Vance is the kind of kid to sneak out at night to visit you. Not in some romantic 'oh I missed you so much!' way (or at least he will never put it that way), but more like a 'I'm bored and feeling rebellious so I'm going to go pester you' way. He just knocks on your window in the dead of night and scares the living crap out of you. He just welcomes himself in and settles down in your room without a care.

Okay, well, with some care. He tells you to shut up so he doesn't get caught.

Alright, now onto PDA. Quick version: Vance doesn't like it. Longer version: Vance is touch starved, but he's also got an image to keep. If he's going to stay intimidating while still having a partner then he needs to restrict the lovey-dovey stuff as much as possible. So, that means so PDA at all. Also, it just makes him uncomfortable, despite the fact that he also kind of likes it.

He doesn't even like it in private. Even if he's crying he will refuse a hug from you. It just feels foreign to him, to say the least. He got it from his mother when he was younger, but other than that he's got nothing.

Oh, and by the way, he is never crying in front of you if he can help it. He's got toxic masculinity ingrained into his brain (like, c'mon, it's the '70s). It makes him feel, for lack of a better word, weak. It's the belief he was brought up with, and now it just feels stuck with him. If he were to cry in front of you, he'd try his absolute best to stop it. And if he can't, then he just tells you to go away.

He'd love it if you'd tutor him. I can't remember if he gets bad grades or not (damn the wikis for not having any info on him), but if I remember correctly he does. He doesn't make it obvious that he appreciates it (hasn't really gotten to that stage yet), but he makes up for it by getting you a drink or snack you like at the Grab n Go for free.

Actually, he makes up for most of the stuff you do that way. His main love languages are acts of service and gifts, so it makes sense he'd do that. Vance isn't a boy who's good with word, so just doing things it a lot easier for him. Plus, he can cater it to your tastes to ensure he doesn't mess up.

In conclusion, Vance is a deeply troubled young man. He's going to need a good amount of therapy before he can even think of having a healthy relationship with you. And even once he does get that, he's going to be very quiet. He's not one for big romantic gestures - in fact, he hates it. But he does like you, so he shows his affection through other means. But remember; this is still Vance, and you can easily take all that progress away. So, be careful and be good.
