Groovy Gumlet having his own army be decimated is probably the worst thing that can happen to him as a hyena demihuman

Groovy's a hyena demihuman. That means – if we're following the animal's mannerisms – he's a social creature that's drawn to complex heirarchy

As a General, he views himself as a leader. He leads an army and in Vollachia, the strong rule the weak; Groovy has to lead his men, not just because he's a General, but because that's the values they're all raised on

He's social. He befriends some of his fellow Generals, complains to Chisha, and thinks about his second-in-command when he's fighting.

So he's social and into hierarchy; yet, he's had all his men die, meaning he's not only alone, but failed them as a leader. They probably all gave their lives for him, too, since not only is he a Divine General, but being cowardly WILL kill them. That's not even considering that maybe Groovy's care means they have some sort of closer relationship beyond simply being ordered under his command. His second-in-command managed to survive longer, and still sacrificed themself for him to flee

As the leader, he has regrets about what happened because he was supposed to take care of his men and lead them to victory. He doubts himself because of this, even if Vincent chose him.

Groovy, who had his men die under his care, hasn't eaten anything for days, was all alone, and lost those connections and underlings. He only has his own thoughts at this point to have any words, because everything else is undead and trying to kill him, and he wishes he had someone.

He's lonely. I don't think there's ever been a moment where Groovy was alone until this struggle. In EX Novel 4, he fought alongside Mogura, fled with him to bring in Cecilus; he complained to Chisha in his office so he'd listen and stick around; he made cursed tools under Vincent's orders; when cleaning, he still happened upon Mogura and befriended him; this is probably the first time it's ever been mentioned that he's on his own.

What attracted him to find Heinkel and Rowan wasn't the smell of a settlement or food; it was the smell of life. That was the first thing he noticed and made a BEELINE for

His concern the whole time are the people. Anyone to be company. It didn't cross his mind that he'd be leading enemies to them, he just wanted their help and it's implied he would've handled the enemies himself

He just wanted help from them. If they could fight, he wasn't going to sit back; he was going to eat something and jump right back into it

It's the idea of company that brought him back from literal DEATH. The demihuman craves company like nobody's business and it's so cute and so sad

So Groovy lost his men, feeling that he failed them, and it's probably crushing to be alone and hungry for so long. Like I said at the start, this is probably the worst thing that can happen to the hyena demihuman

Now I present this: the possibility that his dead men could also become the undead army that goes against him, the emperor, and everyone else.

Hi! Wow, it has been WAY too long since I have been on Tumblr posting fics... and I miss it so much! A lot has happened since I've last been on, but I have a few fun updates.

"This Is A Man's World" is officially a book! (Launches October 6th!)

Man's World, my Carlos Sainz fanfic that I posted all last year, is now officially a book on kindle unlimited + kindle pre-sale (soft cover coming soon!)! I knew I loved the story so much that I wanted to post it somewhere, and finally my friends (and several of you!) convinced me to re-write the story with original content... and I finally did it.

So really this is a post to say two things...

THANK YOU. A million times over. All of your comments, likes and reblogs kept me going through some tough times last year – and I can't appreciate it enough. Your feedback and love of this story made my day over and over again, and words can't express how much I love this community. You guys just rock.

As a thank you from me... I would love to give you the new book! So, would you like an Advanced Reader Copy? I can't think of a better group of people to read the book, and I'd LOVE some feedback honestly! The bulk of the story is the same, but there's definitely a lot of fun updates. I've of course redone the names and teams, but the characters are the same... if not better <3

Random drabble: Lucifer's mother hen.

Welcome! To this adventure! The characters may not be how you imagine! I apologize for any poor jokes, bad spelling, and terrible grammar. Idk what this is but here it is so, without further ado, please enjoy the content. ♡

CW: brothers being chaotic, Lucifer dealing with it. Sums it up pretty good, lemme know if I missed any warnings.

Do you think for Lucifer dealing with his brothers is like dealing with a pack of wild animals?

Like Lucifer gets home after going out and buying dinner for everyone, the moment he steps into HoL he's swarmed by his brothers who proceed to rip what they want from his hands like a savage pack of hungry beasts. Mans goes from having his arms full of food to being lucky if his brothers even left what he bought for himself. And then he gets to watch them fight amongst themselves over the food, I imagine him watching with like a disgusted look on his face as his brothers fist fight over something as simple as a burger.

Before Mc, and even with Mc Lucifer is kind of like the head of the flock, the pack, whatever you want to call them all. So do you think for him, when he has to have his brothers follow him places, you think he feels like a momma duck having all the ducklings following them? Like I'm sure it's not a single file line, but his brothers especially some like Levi, Mammon or even Belphie, would be following him by the step dude. Levi, he's scared man, he's staying close to the mother hen. Mammon, he thinks Lucifer's cool as hell, he's probably trying to mimic everything about Lucifer down to each step he takes. And Belphie, Belphie's the youngest, the youngest never strays too far from the oldest. So he's got these three basically walking on him, and then he has to keep track of the other three. Beel runs away the second he smells food and gets hungry. Asmo, Asmo gets distracted and runs off to get the perfect picture for his Devilgram. And Satan? Pfft, Mans is walking away from the rest of them purely to piss Lucifer off. Lucifer is definitely the type to be like "stay with the group or I'm leaving you behind", but that's such a lie. He makes the whole group stop if even one of his brothers wanders off. He'd flip the whole Devildom upside down before he goes home without all his brothers. This man looks stressed all the time, because he is dude! He's got 6 heathens he has to look after and care for, he's not losing another sibling.

You know how some wild animals get defensive and territorial? ...you think Lucifer has to deal with that from his brothers? Like trying to go into Levi's room is like trying to enter a bear's den. Or trying to get Goldie from Mammon is like trying to fight a wolf over a bone. Trying to get food from Beel? Unimaginable you'd lose your hand. All of his brothers would have something they're like this with, Mammon it's Goldie and anything he treasures, Levi it's his room and merch, Satan it's his books and cat stuff, Asmo it's all his hygiene, make up and stuff like that, Beel it's definitely food and maybe some stuff he uses to work out, Belphie it's his pillows and stuff like that. Lucifer could simply touch one of these things and he's getting his arm chewed off by one of his brothers cause they get all psycho and savage over their stuff. Which is fair, but the war wounds Lucifer has from these moments is a little concerning.

HAHA HELL YEAH! I’m so happy to be haunting you with that song. I'm spreading the disease hehehe!! And though it may cause my mutuals distress (Distress!) somewhere in heaven above me, I know Howard Ashman's proud of me <3 /ly

... welp, Now you’ve engaged with me so you need to face the consequences (reading my ramble). I love both versions, but the only real difference lyrically is “when I start extracting your molars, you girls will be screaming like HO-LY ROLL-ERS” vs “I thrill when I drill a bicuspid, it's swell! Though they tell me I'm MAL-UH-JUS-TED” (if I remember correctly) and honestly both those lines are probably my favorite parts of their respective songs, so it’s hard to pick a favorite. “Holy Rollers” rocks and it’s dramatic enough that I got to convince my choreographer to let me fall to my knees when I sing it, and of course I’m partial to it because it’s the stage version and I’m a stage actor plus I’m generally partial to the stage version. But “Maladjusted” is just SO CHEWY i love it I love the way it feels to say and it's so groovy and Elvis-y and I always love a line that gives even just a little more insight into the character. Then of course there's that extended version of the movie one, that I reblogged from @calliemity a while ago, which I frankly don't remember too well but I remember I danced to it in my room like a twelve year old girl listening to Katy Perry in a 2000s Disney movie, which is to say it rocked, and of course extended version just means more Dentist! and that's gotta be a plus. underrated lightning thief moments I hope stays in the show:

percy’s “learning montage” at camp where he tries different skills with chiron, annabeth, grover, and the cabin eleven kids to see what he’s good at, but the only thing he does successfully is canoeing

a montage of all the field trips percy has messed up in the past, including the cannonball hitting the bus and the “unplanned swim”

the camp half-blood food offerings at dinner

the hacky sac game at the bus stop where grover eats the apple core

percy’s experiences at yancy!! show me the rich delinquents he hates, the beautiful view from his dorm he ends up missing, his illegal candy selling operation

how disgusting gabe leaves percys bedroom while he’s away. Gabe’s lack of hygiene, hoarding, and mess is really emphasized in the book— I want a frustrated Percy coming home and seeing his room filled to the brim with Gabe’s trash so we see how bad his relationship with him is

the entire waterland scene, and Percy talking to the broadcast. it’s not your parents tunnel of love! also annabeth collecting Aphrodite’s scarf as a memory of the trip, since that comes back in later books as a callback!

how do you decide on which requests to work on first?

Generally, I try to go in priority of newest to oldest cards, although I do have to be flexible from time to time. Before my three-month break, it wasn't much of an issue, because I only had a handful of asks in my inbox at a time. Thanks to that break and a few missed events, it kind of backed me up. For older cards voice lines and vignettes, I do them as I can in between the events as they come, since I usually get multiple requests of whatever the current event is. Before, I would put out half-done event voice lines and then reblog them with the groovied lines whenever they were fully unlocked, but since I have 50+ requests right now, it made more sense for me to wait until it's completely unlocked to drop the lines at once, and in the meantime work through my queue. Sometimes I'll translate something out of my own prescribed order, or I'll translate something that I personally was interested in. This happens on a random basis, so I cannot say when I'll drop something "out of timeline order."As always, I appreciate patience with the time it takes me to go through these requests, as it takes time and energy!

How Disney and Obey Me are similar & just random imagines about Obey Me with Disney Cliches:

Beel falling in love with Mc because he sees Mc with a face full of food. The classic really puffed out cheeks with like powder fron the food on their face.

The random singing- imagine: *Mammon begging Lucifer for his credit card* *Lucifer telling him no for the 50th time* *Mammon suddenly singing about how he loves and needs his credit card*

One of the characters or Mc is somehow always attracting animals and has animal friends that they may or may not be able to talk to.

The lose of parents trope. Examples: Diavolo, technically the brothers when they fall, Solomon's immortal so-classic Disney.

Disney characters are always trusting unknown people for no reason-Mc kinda does this if we're gonna be honest.

Disney does the love at first sight a lot, it didnt technically happen with Mc and the brothers but come on it was pretty close.

More singing

You know how Disney sometimes does the damsel in distress? Imagine if Asmo was always being saved by Solomon or Mc.

Disney will make objects be alive sometimes, with magic the character may be able to do that anyways so Satan could just have a pet object.

Disney characters are always getting lost, so one of the characters or Mc would always be getting lost.

Most Disney movies have an over protective parent figure, Lucifer threatens Mc's life over his brothers so he fits this part perfectly.

Some Disney films have a greedy person, whether they're good or bad usually depends on the film, obviously Mammon fits this part excellently.

Even more singing, the songs would def be bops, they'd all lowkey be like Disney villain songs.

Some Disney films also have a character that eata a lot, obviously Beel eats a lot so that'd be his character.

Random life lessons and learning moments that make them a better person. All I have to say is Belphie.

Bonding and relationship building moments. Mc & Mammon bonding while running from debt collectors.
