grand gestures
Thomas Shelby x f!reader
Warnings: Tommy being happy and in love, Tommy’s love language is gift-giving I don’t make the rules, kissing
Tumblr media
You had been seeing Thomas Shelby for a while now and he was absolutely smitten. You have never met a man who doted on you as much as he did. Under his hardened exterior was a man longing to love and be loved.
On a particularly cold evening, you arrived home to a surprise. On your bed lay a beautiful new coat you had seen in the shops while out with Tommy. You must have stared at it in the window a little too long. He took that as a sign that you wanted it. You hadn’t even thought to go in and check the price tag, let alone purchase it.
Tommy knew you weren’t used to receiving many gifts so he made it his personal mission to make you comfortable with it. He’d started with a gold bracelet.
You had gasped when he took it out of the small box. “Tommy, you can’t. This is too much.”
“It’s not. Nothing is too much when it comes to you.” It was almost threatening. It sounded like a warning when he said it. It was foolish to underestimate how much you meant to him.
After the bracelet, he began giving you gifts periodically, even things you didn’t need or want. It was difficult for you to understand why he even bothered to give you all those things. Any other woman would welcome new dresses and jewels with open arms. Instead, you just felt like you didn’t deserve it.
You stared at the coat on your bed. Its fur collar was sure to keep you warm, you thought. The gold buttons going down one side shone in the dim light of your bedroom. You held it up and gawked at it. You rubbed your face into the fur and smiled. You didn’t notice, but Tommy was standing in the doorway.
“Why don’t you try it on?” His voice made you jump and you dropped the coat, putting your hands over your heart.
“Jesus, Tommy!” You sighed and laughed. He had been making a habit of being at your home before you were. He usually made himself known somehow, but tonight he decided to be a bit of a prankster.
“Sorry, love, couldn’t help it.” He chuckled, walked towards you, and pulled you in for a kiss. He always kissed you like it was the last time he would be able to.
He pulled away, “Do you like it?”
“I love it, Tommy, but” you looked down at the item of clothing, “you really didn’t have to. Really, you never have to.” You looked back at him and his arms were crossed, his head cocked to the right. He sighed and put his hands on your arms, caressing them.
Looking into your eyes he asked, “Do you love me?”
You replied slightly irritated “I’ve never loved a man more, Tommy, and you know that. I just- I’m not used to you spoiling me like this.”
“If you’re gonna be my girl, you gonna have to get used to it, love. Now, are you my girl?” He was deadly serious. He was never controlling, but you were his and his alone. He wanted to make sure you understood that.
You looked him in the eye. “Yes. I am.”
His hands held your waist as he pulled you in closer. He kissed you passionately. A small moan escaped. It was intoxicating. After a few moments, you pulled away for air. He put his forehead against yours and gave you a chaste kiss.
“You are worth more than anything I could ever give you. I wish I could give you the world,” he smirked, “the coat is the best I can do for now.”
You smiled softly at him. It would take some more work on your part but you knew that he did it because he cared.
“Thank you, Tommy. I love you.” You gave him a quick kiss.
He pulled away with a smile and said, “I love you, too.”
He reached over to your bed and grabbed the new coat, holding it up for you. You quickly took off your old one and he helped you put your arms through the sleeves of the new one. The inside of the coat felt just as luxurious as the exterior. The fur brushing your neck was comforting and warmed your skin. You stood in front of a full-length mirror and took in your reflection. Tommy stood behind you and wrapped his arms around your body, holding you flush against him. You turned your head to make eye contact with him.
He whispered, “You look beautiful, my love.”
You had hearts in your eyes, “You make me beautiful, Tommy.”

Preschool Graduation┃MV1
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It was a beautiful morning and Max was dressed in an elegant tailored suit. He stood proudly next to his wife Y/N as they attended their little daughter Olivia's preschool graduation. The air was filled with excitement as families gathered in the hall, adorned with beautiful decorations and colorful balloons emblazoned with the phrase ''Class of 2023.''
Max's heart swelled with pride as Olivia, in her tiny cap and gown, joined her classmates on stage. The little graduates were beaming with joy, and Max couldn't help but feel nostalgic about how quickly time had passed since Olivia's first day at preschool. He still remembered when he had cried that morning with his daughter in arms trying to convince his wife to stay home that morning and not send her to school because he still couldn't believe that the day had arrived.
Y/N, with a proud smile, squeezed Max's hand as they took their seats. Both families, the Verstappens and the Y/L/N, were there to celebrate this special moment. Max's parents were sitting nearby and exchanging proud glances with Y/N's parents.
The ceremony began with the children entering, holding hands and laughing. Max tried to maintain his composure, but every time he caught a glimpse of Olivia's radiant smile, his eyes filled with tears. He dried them discreetly, hoping his wife wouldn't notice.
When Olivia's name was called, Max couldn't contain his emotions. He let out a proud cheer that echoed throughout the room. He jumped to his feet, camera in hand, and started taking pictures madly. "That's my daughter!" he yelled, not caring that it elicited some amused looks from the other parents. Although his wife was not far behind, she also stopped to record from the moment her little girl got up from her seat until she turned to see her parents and waved with a huge smile full of joy from stage. Both families burst into applause and shouts when the little girl received her diploma. And to Olivia's surprise, all of her uncles were there too. Charles, Carlos, Lando, Daniel, George, Alex and even Checo with his family were there, all applauding excitedly and some crying.
Max's eyes shone with tears of joy and he wiped them away with the back of his hand, laughing at his lack of self-control, but he didn't care in the least.
To the amusement of the other parents, he snorted and pulled a handkerchief from his suit pocket, declaring, "It's very emotional, okey?"
When the ceremony concluded, Max took Olivia in his arms and spun her around as she laughed with joy. Both met with the whole family along with the other drivers.
"Congratulations, my little champion!" Max exclaimed, his eyes shining with pride. Olivia smiled at her father, a miniature version of Max's infectious smile on her face.
The day continued with a celebration at Verstappen's house. Max and Y/N had organized a small gathering with family and close friends to honor Olivia's achievement. The backyard was adorned with decorations and a special cake.
While guests enjoyed the festivities, Max found himself reflecting on his journey into fatherhood. He had always been passionate about racing, but watching Olivia grow up gave him a different kind of satisfaction.
During the celebration, Max and his wife took a moment to share a few words for her little girl, expressing admiration for her determination and enthusiasm for her life. They talked about the joy she brought to their world and how her accomplishments, no matter how small, filled them with an immense sense of pride.
Many might know Max as the beast he was when he got into his F1 car and raced on the circuits, or others as the triple champion, but despite that, he was the best father to a beautiful little recent graduate named Olivia and he best husband for his beloved.

A Helping Hand (Melissa Schemmenti x f!Reader)
Tumblr media
Synopsis: You accidentally drag Melissa into a ruse in order to stop your friends from setting you up on any more blind dates
Words: 7.2k
Warnings: some self esteem issues, mentions of an age gap
“Trust me. This time I’ve found you the perfect date,” Carter said, pulling up outside Abbott.
“Not necessary,” you replied.
The last perfect date he’d set you up on had been a disaster. Not that you’d particularly wanted to go on the date to begin with. Your friends kept trying to solve your perpetual singledom, but what you hadn’t told them was you were holding out while working up the courage to ask out the one person you really wanted to.
“Why?” he asked, turning to look at you.
“Because…” You were about to regret the words that came out of your mouth, “I’m already seeing someone.”
“Who?” he asked, leaning towards you.
A loud banging came from the window. You jumped, turning to look behind you. Red hair shone in the morning sunlight and green eyes were peering in, looking less than pleased.
“Oi, you coming? The news will be on soon,” Melissa called through the glass at you.
“Yeah, just give me a minute,” you called back.
When you turned back around, Carter’s eyes had widened, flicking from you to her back to you. You froze.
“Is that her?” he asked.
“What?” you scoffed, “no. Look, I have to go.”
His hand shot you, grabbing your wrist.
“That’s who you’re seeing?” he demanded.
“Fine. It’s her. But it’s really new so don’t… tell anyone,” you whispered, “please don’t make a big deal about this.”
“She’s hot,” he said, looking over your shoulder.
You turned too. Melissa was still there, arms crossed, scowling at the car. You sighed, turning back to Carter.
“I have to go. But don’t you dare mention this to anyone. I don’t need you lot messing this up before it’s even something,” you hissed at him.
“Sure, sure,” he said, gently ruffling your hair, “go see your girl.”
You sighed, stepping out of the car. You slammed the car door shut with a little more aggression than you usually would use but you were tired and you didn’t even realise the can of worms you’d opened with a little white lie.
“You okay?” Melissa asked, falling into step beside you.
A car horn sounded behind you. You glared over your shoulder at Carter who was grinning at you.
“Fine,” you said, “just dickhead friends.”
The news helped calm you down and by lunch you’d forgotten all about your lie to Carter. Sitting by her at lunch, you were reminded of the way she made your heart beat faster and your breath catch. Her voice was enough to steal your attention and the way she’d laugh enchanted you. You’d do anything to make her laugh like that.
“Hey, is there something wrong with your car?” she asked, leaning back to talk to you at the table next to hers.
“It’s in the shop,” you replied, “the engine was making a funky noise and it got so loud I couldn’t ignore it anymore.”
“Who was that in the car that made you so mad?” she asked.
“Just my friend Carter. Apparently I’m now a charity case that my friends have put on a roster of car pooling,” you said.
The way she looked at you had you shifting in your seat.
“What?” you asked.
“You ain’t a charity case,” she said.
“Okay.” You weren’t sure what she was trying to say.
She nodded , turning back to her lunch. Nothing had made sense, and you still had no idea what she was getting at but the conversation was closed. You nodded to yourself, biting into the leftovers you’d been eating before.
After school, a significant amount of time after the dismissal bell had rung, you stepped out into the evening air, tightening your coat around your body. Carter lent forward on the horn, grinning at you as you hurried down the steps.
“Yeah yeah,” you muttered, sliding into the car.
“Isn’t that your girlfriend?”
You blinked, trying to figure out what he was talking about. You turned, finding Melissa striding towards the car, looking ready to breathe fire. It crashed back into you, the lie you’d told and how fucked you were about to be. She tore the door open.
“Come on,” she said to you.
“What?” You were looking up at her and she was staring down at you and it was like the world was dropping out beneath you.
“Come on.”
She grabbed your arm, hauling you out of the car. You barely had time to grab your bag from the floor mat. She lent forward, looking in at Carter as if he’d done something to personally offend her. That wasn’t something anyone would dare to do at Abbott.
“She won’t be needing your charity anymore,” she said before slamming the door.
Her hand curled around your elbow, marching you off towards one of the last cars left in the lot. She wasn’t explaining anything. Carter wasn’t leaving. Nothing made sense.
“Melissa, what are you doing?” you asked as she stopped to unlock the car.
“You’re no one’s charity case,” she said, “I can give you a lift.”
“So, what? I go from being my friends’ charity case to yours? I don’t see how this changes anything,” you said.
She pulled the door open for you, waiting with an expectant eyebrow raised. You sighed, taking your spot in her passenger seat. In the reflection of her rearview mirror you saw Carter approach, groaning at whatever was about to happen. They talked, Melissa’s eyes finding yours in the mirror before saying something to Carter.
She was looking at you oddly as she slid into the driver’s seat some minutes later. You were desperate to know what had been said, knowing it wouldn’t be good for you.
“Your friend asked me to come to a barbecue this weekend,” she said, staring the car, “as your new girlfriend.”
You groaned, burying your face in your hands. She dragged one away from you, forcing you to look at her. She hadn’t pulled out of her spot, sitting there in the idling car while you tried to tamp down your embarrassment.
“I’m sorry,” you said, slightly muffled from the one hand still doing its best to hide you from view.
“You gonna tell me what’s going on?” she asked.
“I just.” You sighed, “my friends keep setting me up on blind dates and no matter how often I tell them I’m not interested they keep doing it. So when Carter suggested I go on another one I told him I couldn’t because I’m already seeing someone and then you turned up. He asked if it was you and I… figured he’d never actually meet you so it didn’t matter. I’m sorry, I’ll tell him I lied to get him off my back.”
She pulled out of the parking lot, still not looking at you. Guilt curdled in your stomach and you didn’t know what else to say. Your head hung and you weren’t sure what to do. Maybe apologise more. Grovel for forgiveness. Melissa was not a woman to be caught up in bullshit she didn’t agree to and you’d done just that.
“I said I’d bring mac and cheese,” she said.
Your head snapped up. She still wasn’t looking at you, focusing on the road ahead, which given the driving was a good thing. Her lips curled up and you felt your cheeks heat.
“You don’t have to do this,” you said, voice small, fingers twisting in your lap.
“Do you want to go on more blind dates?” she asked.
“Not even a little bit,” you replied.
Her eyes flashed over to you then back to the road.
“You better tell me your address or you’ll never get home,” she said.
You directed her to your apartment building, not sure what else to say. She pulled up to the curb, looking up at it with a small wrinkle to her nose. Her approval was clearly lacking and that made your stomach twist again.
“Seriously Melissa,” you said as the silence stretched, “you don’t have to do this. I’ll just tell him.”
“What time should I pick you up tomorrow?” she asked.
And that was the last you talked of coming clean to your friends. She picked you up for the rest of the week as you waited for your car to be fixed, and dropped you off each night. And on Saturday, the day your friend Jenny was hosting a barbecue for Jared’s birthday, she knocked on your door rather than just sending you a one word text to get your attention.
“Hi,” you breathed out, seeing her there on the other side of your door.
Her hair was tied up, jeans and a tank top encasing her body. Casual Melissa was so very delicious, and for the afternoon she was going to be yours. It made no sense. None at all.
“How long do you think this thing’s gonna be?” she asked, pushing past into your apartment.
You followed her, watching her look over the room, eyes lingering on photos and little keepsakes. She picked up one frame, a small smile curling her lips before her expression was wiped clean.
“We don’t have to stay long,” you said, “whenever you want to go feel free to.”
“I’d never leave my girl alone,” she replied, placing the frame down again.
“Right. And I am sorry about this. Really.” You hoped she could hear the earnestness in your voice.
“Stop.” She held a hand up to you, “I’m doing this, aren’t I? If you keep apologising I’m gonna think you don’t want me to.”
“You’re being very kind,” you said, “thank you.”
“Think nothing of it, hon,” she said, “you’re my good deed for the month.”
You gave a weak laugh, picking up your container of watermelon and the cake you’d spent the previous night baking. She took them from your hands before you could ask for help. Locking the door behind you, keeping your face averted, you refused to let her see the impulse to swoon. In less than a week she’d treated you better than past girlfriends ever had.
You settled in the passenger seat, the cake resting on your lap, the wrapped present at your feet. Melissa merged into traffic, taking you closer to the party. You could feel your anxiety rising, not sure how this was going to go. Your friends and Melissa together in the same room, one believing she was your new girlfriend, the other pretending in order to help you… do what? Save face? Not go on any more awful blind dates? Use as blackmail material later down the road?
“I can hear you thinking,” she said, flicking on her indicator.
“Sorry,” you said.
“I’m not gonna give the game away,” she said, “stop worrying.”
“I just… I know you won’t,” you replied.
“What’s wrong?” she asked.
“Why are you doing this? I’m not Barbra, you don’t… we’re not friends like that,” you said.
“Aren’t we?” She turned her head slightly, not quite towards you but not away from you.
“Are we?” You didn’t know that answer.
“Just accept the help, hon,” she sighed, and you didn’t know what the emotion in her voice was.
“Thanks Melissa,” you whispered.
She pulled up outside Jenny’s house, the balloons tied to the letterbox swaying in the air. You looked up at it, your anxiety spiking again. A warm hand landed on your thigh, giving a gentle squeeze.
“C’mon, hon,” Melissa said, “the sooner we go in the sooner you’ll see it’s all fine.”
“Right. Yeah. You’re right,” you said.
She didn’t hold your hand as you walked up to the door, nor did she try to touch you in any intentional way. She stood close enough for you to feel her warmth, but not so close that she was crowding you.
“Ready?” you asked.
Instead of answering, she adjusted her hold on both the mac and cheese she brought and the food you’d made and lent past you, knocking on the door. It took only a moment before the door was pulled open. Jenny was laughing at someone over her shoulder, before turning to look at you.
“Hey,” she said, pulling you into a hug.
You went, still feeling tense. Her eyes turned towards Melissa, interest entering her gaze. They swept over her before turning back to you.
“Is this her?” she asked.
“Uh, yeah. Jenny this is Melissa,” you said, turning to her, “Mel, this is my friend Jenny.”
“Lovely to meet you,” Jenny said.
“Yeah, you too. Where can I put this?” she asked, holding the food out to her.
“Oh, the kitchen is this way,” she said, turning on her heels to stride back into the house.
You shared a glance with Melissa before following Jenny inside. She helped Melissa place the containers of food down, looking out of the open door pointed at the backyard. Your friends were gathered, most already with some kind of drink in hand, Carter behind the grill, ominous smoke rising into the sky. Music was playing faintly and there were balloons all over the place.
“You work at Abbott too, right?” Jenny asked.
“Ya,” Melissa said and you realised that involving someone with severe trust issues of anyone she didn’t know was maybe not the best idea.
“She teaches second grade,” you said, “one of the best teachers we have.”
Her head snapped towards you, something unreadable crossing over her face before disappearing. Jenny was watching with interest and you knew you had to do better if you wanted your friends to think you weren’t perpetually single.
“Where’s Jared?” you asked, hoping to distract her from whatever was going on with you and Melissa.
“Outside,” she said, “so Melissa-“
You grabbed Melissa’s arm, tugging her towards the door before Jenny could say anything else. Out of her sight, you let her arm go, stepping down onto the grass. The air smelt of smoke and grass and summer, of days long since gone and days yet to come. You took a deep breath.
“Hey,” Carter said, jogging up to you.
“Hi,” you said, “I brought Melissa.”
“Great to see you again.” He was grinning at the two of you.
You rolled your eyes, shoving past him. Melissa followed you, right on the periphery of your vision, there but not close. Maybe that was a problem. If you were newly in a relationship would there be that much distance between you? Could you reach out and bridge the gap? You weren’t sure you could.
“Hey Jared, happy birthday.”
You thrust out the present in your hands to your friend. Tall and handsome, his charisma had meant he’d done well in life and love. In comparison, you were a hot mess. And yet growing up in neighbouring houses meant you had a friend for life it seemed.
“Thanks,” he said, a lazy smile spreading over his face, “is this the woman who’s finally taken you off the market?”
“This is Melissa,” you said, turning to look at her.
Her green eyes were narrowed and she’d crossed her arms, looking less than friendly. You sighed. You might have seen the softer side of Melissa Schemmenti but she was hardly showcasing it with your friends.
“Congrats on finally being good enough with this one,” he said, throwing an arm around your shoulders, “she’s a picky one.”
“Is she?” she raised an eyebrow.
“She has turned down every single person we’ve set her up with for three years,” he said.
“Has she?” She was looking at you with too much interest.
Hopefully she wasn’t putting two and two together. Three years ago you’d started working at Abbott and for three years all your dates were with people who weren’t her. You felt your cheeks heat up and you looked away.
“Glad to see someone broke the curse,” Jared laughed, letting you go, “get drinks. We have all kinds of stuff.”
You wandered off, waving to your friends, Melissa keeping step with you. The cooler was full of ice, drinks nestled inside. You reached down, passing her one of the bottles of beer before taking a soda for yourself. It shouldn’t have been hot watching her open the bottle, but it wasn’t often someone could do it without a bottle opener.
“Three years huh?” she asked after taking a drink from the bottle.
“My friends mean well but they have no idea what I’m looking for in a partner,” you replied with a small shrug.
“That’s a long time to not have one good date,” she said.
You shrugged again, not sure what to say. You weren’t about to admit the real reason was standing in front of you. You weren’t delusional enough to think she’d appreciate it or, god forbid, return your feelings. She could do better than you.
“Holy shit, y’all have to try this mac and cheese,” Henry called out, “I think I’ve died and gone to heaven.”
Melissa looked towards them. You chuckled, looking down at your feet scuffing in the grass.
“What?” she asked.
“They’re never going to want to get rid of you now,” you said, “damn you and you’re mouth watering cooking.”
“My what?”
You looked at her, raising an eyebrow. She raised her own in response, waiting for an answer.
“Oh come on. You know you’re crazy good at cooking. You brag about it at least three times a week over lunch,” you said, “modesty isn’t a good look on you.”
She laughed, the kind that you desired to hear over and over again. Head thrown back, lips curling up into a beautiful smile, you stared at her doing your best not to have your feelings show all over your face. She nudged you with her shoulder, the laughter dying but her eyes sparkling.
“Jenny said you made this.”
Henry was there, holding the plate of mac and cheese, cheeks bulging from how much he’d put in his mouth. You snorted but you knew what was coming.
“If you break up with her,” he said, turning to you, “we’re taking her side.”
You snorted, “yeah, good luck with that.”
“Seriously,” he said, turning back to Melissa, “how do you do it? This is like the perfect consistency. And the flavour profile is off the charts. Do you do catering?”
“She’s a teacher, Henry. Chill out,” you said, “and I know for a fact Caroline won’t want mac and cheese at the reception. They’re getting married next year.”
That last part was for Melissa. She was growing more incredulous as the conversation continued. She stepped just half a step closer to you, her body warmth once again brushing against you. A small sigh left your lips, shoulders relaxing just a touch more.
“You ain’t getting my secret ingredient,” Melissa said, “but I’m sure I could be convinced to make it again for youse one day.”
“Convince her,” Henry said to you.
You watched him walk away, slapping Jenny’s hand away when she tried to steal some of it.
“You don’t have to do that, you know,” you said, turning to look at her.
“Do what?” she asked.
“Pretend like you’re going to be around forever,” you replied, “you never have to come to another one of these things.”
“Hon, let me decide if I’ll be back. You just worry your pretty little head about having a fun time with your friends,” she said.
Warmth bloomed in your chest. Her hand slid into yours, palm brushing against palm until her fingers tangled with yours. Your heart skipped a beat, the touch of skin against skin making you feel breathless. Her smile softened, hand tightening.
“Go have fun, sweetheart,” she said, gently pushing you towards the group gathering close by.
You kept half an eye on her as you joined your friends, tracking her movements through the afternoon. She mostly kept close to the grill, and after a few false starts, seemed to charm your friends. Watching her, it only cemented that you’d made the right choice on having a crush on her, as if you’d have any chance not to.
“I like her,” Jenny said, “and you obviously do too.”
She nudged you and Jared laughed.
“Well, yeah, I’m dating her,” you said, doing your best not to trip on the word.
“And you look at her like she’s even better than her mac and cheese,” Jared said.
“What do you mean?” you asked.
“You’re the definition of heart eyes,” she said, “when you look at her you get all melty and soft.”
“I do not,” you protested.
“You so do,” she laughed, “you get that dopey smile whenever you look at her.”
“And you look at her a lot,” Jared said.
You didn’t know how to refute the claim without giving the whole game away. You sighed, eyes flicking up, as they had all day, to find Melissa. She was already watching you, those green eyes shining when they met yours.
“See? That’s the expression,” Jenny crowed.
“Lucky for you, short stack,” Jared said, resting his arm around your shoulders, “she seems just as besotted with you.”
Now that was going a step too far.
“I’m going to the bathroom. Be nice,” you said, ducking out from under his arm.
Inside the house, away from the prying questions and and knowing looks, you could breath easier. You locked yourself away in the bathroom, staring at yourself in the mirror over the sink. Your fingers clenched, thoughts racing. On the one hand it was good that you were selling the lie to your friends, on the other you hadn’t meant to show your actual feelings and didn’t want it getting back to Melissa. She’d know. Of course she’d know.
Cold water splashed up on your face and you put your game face back on. If you could keep it under wraps during school hours you could keep it under wraps now. You patted your face dry and slipped back into the house proper.
“So what’s your intentions with our girl?”
You paused just out of sight, listening in. Your friends, bless their hearts, were doing their whole Spanish Inquisition act and you couldn’t pretend like you weren’t interested in seeing how she smacked them down. There was no doubt in your mind she wouldn’t put up with their inane questions.
“I want to make her happy,” she replied and you could see the way she would be shooting them a look telling them how idiotic she found the question. As if her answer was obvious.
“Good answer,” Henry said.
“Could be practiced,” Jared said.
“Rehearsed even,” Carter said.
“Why her?” Jenny asked.
“What?” You could hear the offence settling into her voice.
“Why choose her?” Jenny asked, “and be careful. There is a right answer.”
You internally groaned, leaning against the wall. More than once someone had decided you weren’t worth it after going through this process. That the scrutiny wasn’t worth it. Melissa had to bring her A game if she was going to get through it.
“Why wouldn’t I choose her?” Melissa asked.
“She works too much,” Henry said.
“She eats too much sugar,” Jared said.
“She’s a mess,” Carter said.
“So why her?” Jenny asked.
“You say she works too much. I say she’s passionate. I haven’t seen such a talented young teacher in a long time. And yes, she eats like a kid with too much money let loose in a candy store. But she’ll share it with anyone she thinks needs it to the point where she’ll go without. And she’s not a mess. She’s doing the best she can and she’s doing it pretty damn well. I don’t know if youse don’t see her clearly enough but if that’s the only way you see her then it’s pathetic that youse call yourself her friends. I ain’t never seen someone who makes life brighter than she does. She is kind and talented and she cares so much it’s made her physically sick before. If youse think there is any reason I wouldn’t choose her, you’re wrong. So don’t give me stupid excuses to not want her. It won’t work. I’ve been choosing her longer than you know.”
It felt as if your knees were going to give out beneath you. You trembled, pressing back against the wall, doing your best to not slide down it. Your breathing, where you’d been holding it to listen to her, was now ragged. You had to pressed the heels of your hands to your eyes, forcing yourself to push the tears back.
No one had ever said anything like that about you before.
“You didn’t even mention how hot she is,” Jared said.
You pressed your hand to your lips to keep the wet laugh from making a sound.
“Her being hot is just an extra benefit. I’m not with her because she’s hot. I’m with her because she’s the sun,” Melissa said, scoffing at your friend.
Your mouth fell open. You had no idea Melissa could have been so poetic, especially without giving her a heads up that this might happen. Your heart was beating so hard in your chest and you had no idea how you were going to face her now. You ached, deep within you, to reach out to her, to press yourself to her, to bury your face in her neck until you weren’t sure where you ended and she began. Curling your arms around your body, you held on, desperate to keep yourself from falling apart.
“Good enough for ya?” Melissa asked into the silence left behind in the wake of her words.
There was a general grumbled agreement before footsteps began to sound again. You wiped the vulnerable skin under your eyes, brushing away the tears. You steeled yourself, straightening your spine, clenching your jaw. Taking a deep breath, you stepped into the kitchen again.
“There you are,” Jenny called, sticking candles into the cake you’d made for Jared.
Melissa was still there, looking out the door into the backyard. You sidled up to her, shoulder brushing against shoulder. She looked down at you and you couldn’t begin to unpack the expression on her face.
“You okay?” You asked, lowering your voice to keep Jenny from hearing.
“Perfect, hon,” she replied.
Her arm curled around your waist, so warm, making you only want to press yourself against her more. Your head fell on her shoulder, resting there, scared it would be too much for her and yet not able to stop yourself from seeking out her touch.
“Come on, you two,” Jenny said, “we got cake to eat.”
Melissa’s hand slid back into yours, and as you sang happy birthday to your friend, you felt your heart in your throat and your body yearning for her. As Jared lent forward to blow out the candles, she looked down at you, smiling softly, eyes sparkling down at you. You found yourself leaning towards her, drawn in by her gravity. She let your hand go, arm sliding around your waist, hand now resting on your hip, burning through the denim of your jeans. Your breath hitched and her eyes flicked down to your lips, her own pulling up in a small smirk.
You had no idea what to do with the way she was looking at you.
“Melissa,” Jenny said, stealing her attention, breaking whatever spell was woven over the two of you, “have you had any of our girl’s baking yet?”
“I made her a tiramisu for her last birthday,” you called to her.
“You made that? Shit, hon, I thought you’d bought it,” she said.
Had you revealed too much? No. No, you couldn’t have.
“Course I made it,” you replied with a small shrug, “no big deal.”
Something in her softened.
“Thank you, sweetheart.”
Her lips pressed to your temple, soft and addictive and your breath caught in your chest. Your skin tingled with electricity and if you could bottle a single moment of your life it would be that one to revisit any time you wanted. It would feed you for the rest of your life.
There was a collective aw from your friends. Your cheeks heated and you had to look away, scared they’d see too much. That Melissa would see too much. Her arm tightened around you and you didn’t know what to do with yourself.
“Do you want some cake?” Melissa asked.
“Yeah,” you replied, cheeks still hot enough to fry an egg on.
You took a slice from Jenny, waiting to see Melissa’s reaction before taking your own bite. Her eyes slid closed and she made a noise so filthy you thought you were going to have a heart attack. It sent a shot of pleasure right between your legs and you felt your eyes widened as you looked at her. Her eyes blinked open, hooded and seductive, and you had to swallow past the lump in your throat.
“I’m going to marry you just to have access to this cake for the rest of my life,” she said, voice husky.
You laughed, a little uncomfortable even while the thought was pleasant. Being Melissa Schemmenti’s wife. It was one of those fantasies you tried not to indulge in too much. You shoved a forkful of your own cake into your mouth to keep from saying anything stupid in response.
“I wanna open presents,” Jared whined, mouth half full of cake.
Jenny laughed, shoving him over to the table of nicely wrapped gifts. He tore through wrapping paper, uncaring of the mess he was making. Melissa was still holding you, but was focused on him, no longer making you feel as if you were about to faint from the pressure of her gaze. Your head lent against her shoulder again, watching Jared holding up the awful sweatshirt you’d bought him with the president’s face on it. He was grinning at you before pulling it on despite the warmth and the sun.
“I look so hot,” he said, looking down at himself.
“You look sweaty,” Harry said, shoving at him.
“Hey, it’s not my fault you wish you had this sweet piece of ass,” he replied.
“I’ll keep my own piece of ass thank you,” he said, “she at least knows how to shower.”
“How about we don’t call women pieces of ass?” Jenny suggested.
“Sorry, Jen,” he said, “but you know what I mean.”
“And I hate it,” she said.
You laughed, pressing your face into Melissa’s shoulder to muffle it. You felt her nose brush against your temple, her own chuckle soft. Warmth bloomed through your chest, embers of fire floating through your bloodstream. You pressed more to her, hoping it would stop you from doing something stupid, like press your lips to the skin under your face. Her lips brushed your temple and you felt yourself freeze.
Cold water splashed against your stomach. You shriek, flinging yourself out of Melissa’s arms. Jared had levelled a water gun at you, huge and intimidating, the box it had come from lying at his feet. He lifted it and you ran backwards, cursing at him as you took refuge in the kitchen. Melissa was following you, looking no more like she wanted to be soaked than you did. But still, you were laughing as you looked out the window at them, the shiver of your wet shirt barely noticed while you watched the boys battling it out in the grass.
“You alright, hon?” Melissa asked.
You looked over, finding her leaning against the counter, arms crossed, eyes travelling over your body. Your cheeks heated again.
“Yeah,” you replied.
“You’re going to get sick if you stay in those wet clothes,” she said and you knew she didn’t mean it to sound like such an invitation.
“I’ll be fine,” you brushed off, turning away to keep her from seeing the moment of longing on your face.
Warm hands settled on your hips, pulling you back against a soft body and all thoughts fled from your head. You lent back against her, unconscious of your actions and yet desperate for it. Her breath ghosted against the shell of your ear.
“Let me take you home to change,” she said, “Ava doesn’t have the money for a sub if you get a cold.”
Of course. Of course it was about work. Even if a shiver went down your spine and a whimper threatened fall from your lips. You’d never felt such a deep well of want for another person before.
“Okay,” you whispered.
She gave your hips a squeeze before letting you go, stepping back. Thoughts flooded back in, the throb between your legs making you feel shaky. You tottered over to the door.
“Hey, assholes, we’re heading off,” you called to the boys, Jenny standing by the door as if daring the boys to try and soak her.
The chorus of complaints made you smile, shaking your head with such fondness it almost hurt. Jenny gave you a tight hug, ignoring how wet your shirt was, leaving a wet patch on her own. Jared lifted you off your feet, swinging you in a circle. You were laughing and holding on for dear life but his strength was everything. Henry have you a one arms hug, the other holding the water pistol, trying to fight off Carter. He grabbed your face with both hands, kissing you with a loud smack on your forehead.
You turned back to wave from the door before your hand was sliding into Melissa’s again and you were being led out the front door. Settling into her car, you let out a sigh, one that spoke of happiness and contentment. You lent back in your seat, the smile on your face wide, all encompassing, until the muscles in your cheek began to hurt.
“Thank you,” you said, “that was a really good afternoon.”
“Your friends are interesting,” Melissa said, pulling out onto the road.
“They mean well,” you said, “sorry if they… I dunno. Made you uncomfortable or something.”
“They didn’t,” she assured you.
“You don’t have to lie. I heard them grilling you,” you said, not quite able to look at her. You hadn’t planned on bringing it up, but the words spilled from your lips without permission.
“I wasn’t uncomfortable, hon,” she said but her voice was tight.
You sighed, shuffling in your seat until you were looking at her. Her hands had tightened on the steering wheel, knuckles growing white. You wanted to reach out to her but didn’t know how, not without making her unhappy with you.
“You answered really well,” you said, hoping it would calm her.
Her eyes flicked to you then back to the road, hands tightening. Still she said nothing. Your fingers twisted together in your lap, anxiety building again. The nice afternoon was being washed away, the calm you’d felt as you’d climbed into the car nothing but a memory.
“Melissa,” you said, hoping the words would come as you spoke.
“We don’t have to talk about it,” she snapped before you could say anything more.
“I’m sorry if they made you uncomfortable. And I’m sorry for eavesdropping,” you said, “I shouldn’t have done that. I could have stopped them and not… heard.”
“It’s fine,” she said, grip tightening even further, “we’re going to ignore it ever happened.”
“But what you said was so nice. I know you were only saying it so they’d believe we were together but… no one’s ever said anything like that about me,” you said, disappointment making your heart sink.
“What do you mean I only said that for them?” she asked, voice tight.
“Well, you were selling it, right? Helping convince them of the stupid lie I told Carter. Weren’t you?” You didn’t know what she was getting at.
Her head turned towards you again before back to the road.
“Hon.” You’d do anything to stop her sounding that way, like she was in pain.
“I don’t understand,” you said.
“I don’t suppose you do,” she sighed.
The silence that settled over you wasn’t comfortable. It made your skin itch and you wanted to do something to fix it. To make everything better.
“You called me the sun,” you whispered.
Her foot slammed down on the break. You jerked forward, the seatbelt cutting into you. You took a sharp inhalation, hand massaging your chest. Turning towards her, you found her already staring back at you. You stopped breathing.
“Because you are the sun, hon. To me, at least. And I don’t care if you don’t want to hear it. You need to know. You light up a room when you walk in and you’re so fucking bright. Sometimes I can’t even look at you,” burst from her, “fuck, hon, when you look at me like that I can’t think.”
“What?” You couldn’t be sure you weren’t dreaming.
“I didn’t agreed to this whole stupid thing for you,” she said, “I did it because I wanted to know what it would feel like to be yours. I was being selfish.”
“Melissa,” you breathed, overcome with the strength of your emotions.
“Don’t. Don’t you fucking dare. We’re going to forget this ever happened. We’re never going to talk about it. This is done,” she said, beginning to drive again.
You sat in silence, not sure how to tell her that was the opposite of what you wanted. If you never said anything then you’d never have everything you wanted. You were watching her, taking note of the way she was pointedly not looking at you.
She pulled up outside your apartment building. She sat there, still not looking at you, while you looked to her. She glanced over to you then back out the windscreen, face stoic and unfeeling.
“Go on,” she said, “what are you waiting for? An invitation?”
You continued looking at her until she huffed and turned to look at you too.
“I’ve never gone on more than a first date with anyone in three years because three years ago I met you,” you said, ignoring the disgruntled look on her face, “and since that moment I knew.”
“Knew what?” she asked.
“There wouldn’t be anyone else for me. You were it. Everything I ever wanted.”
“Don’t you fucking make fun of me,” she spat.
“Mel…”
You final bridged the gap, reaching out to her, fingers soft as they touched her wrist. She jerked back from you and it was like having your heart torn out from your chest. You were so close to having what you wanted.
“Melissa,” you said, trying again, “I want you so much it hurts. It’s like this physical ache in my heart. I look at you and it throbs like an open wound. You might think I’m the sun, but you’re the very earth beneath my feet. Solid and grounding and life giving. You’re the air I breath. I think about you all the time. To the point where I can’t sleep at night. I’m sorry. I know I’m being really intense. But you need to know how much I’m not making fun of you. I never would. Not like this.”
You’d been watching her face so closely, desperate to know what she was thinking. From anger to disbelief into something that was almost fear. Your hand landed on her wrist again, holding on now, desperate for her not to pull away again. You needed her to listen to you, to really understand what you were saying.
“What are you saying?” she whispered.
“I am hopeless and completely in love with you, Melissa,” you said, “but I never thought you’d feel the same way.”
She let out a long shaky breath, staring at you as if trying to work out where the lie was. You tightened your grip on her wrist. Her eyes shot down to it then back to you.
“You’re in love with me? Even when I’m so much older? When I can’t offer you anything?” she demanded.
“You can offer yourself and that’s really all I want,” you replied, “it’s all I’ve wanted for three years.”
Her hand rose, hovering over your cheek, before curling around the back of your neck and pulling you in. You whimpered into her mouth, lips sliding along lips. It wasn’t elegant and it wasn’t graceful, but it made your heart pound. She sighed, kissing you harder, as if trying to chase away the voices in her own head. You were swimming in want; wanting her closer, wanting more, wanting everything. Her fingers buried themselves in your hair, holding you there as her tongue sought out yours, making your head spin.
When she drew back, you were gasping for breath. Her lips were kiss stung and her eyes were bright. You surged forward, kissing her again, uncaring of the seatbelt and the centre console and awkward angle. You needed her like you needed air. She was your air. She was your everything.
She was always going to be your everything.
“Hon,” she mumbled against your lips, “wait a moment.”
You froze before reeling back. You never wanted her to ever be uncomfortable with you. You never wanted her to feel pressure or forced into anything.
Her fingers were still buried in the hair at the nape of your neck. She tugged on it and a shudder went through your body. Her eyes were smouldering and when her tongue ran along her bottom lip you groaned, loud in the enclosed space. She chuckled, tugging on your hair again.
“Let me take you out tonight,” she said, voice husky and you could hear how she was holding herself back, “please.”
“Like on a date?” you asked, breathless and desperate, thighs pressing together as you squirmed in your seat.
“Exactly like on a date,” she replied.
“Yeah.” You nodded, “yeah I’d like that.”
“Good.”
She lent forward, lips pressing to yours again. You whined into her mouth, not able to stop yourself. You wanted her so much it was making you lose all control. She pulled back again, sitting back, removing her hands from you. You tried to pull her back but she pushed you into your seat, making you almost cry out from your need for her.
“Go make yourself pretty for me, hon,” she said, eyes darkening when they swept over your body thrumming with desire, “I’ll pick you up tonight.”
“You don’t want to come up?” you asked, knowing how desperate you sounded.
“I do, but I won’t.” Disappointment plummeted through your body, “when I have you I’m taking my time to explore every inch of your body. I want to know everything that turns you on. We don’t have time for that before our date. Go on.”
“You’ll really come pick me up?” you asked, surprised you could still form coherent sentences after her declaration.
“Nothing could stop me,” she said, smiling at you with such wickedness it had your thighs clenching again.
You stumbled from the car, looking back at her. She was watching you, not even pretending not to. You waved to her from the door of your building, heart thundering, anticipation building, desire thrumming. She raised her own hand to you and you had to clench on the door handle lest you flung yourself back into the car and into her lap.
You had a date to go get ready for.

Stubborn
Received a request through a reblog for something related to Miguel's fangs. It's not exactly focused on them but they're definitely part of it!

“Get your fingers away from my mouth. Are you a child?”
You pouted and withdrew your hand, thwarted in your attempts to sneakily lift the corner of your boyfriend’s lip. “I want to see them,” you defended. “They’re so nice to look.”
“If you’re that bored, I will find you something more productive to do,” he reminded you and twisted his face further from your reach. “I’m not in the habit of allowing people to lounge around my workspace for the fun of it.”
“Can my something productive be getting you to smile?”
“Absolutely not.”
You sighed and sank further into your chair, head tilted back to the ceiling you stared at far too much. “You said you would be finished with this by now.”
“It was a possibility but it required far more attention than I expected. It won’t be much longer.”
Miguel’s desire to be busy never surprised you. From the day you’d met him to the day you kissed him for the first time, you always understood why he obsessed in the way he did. It didn’t hurt you but you worried – more about his own health than anything else.
When was the last time he’d even eaten?
“You know, I actually do have a job to get done,” you said. “I’ll be back soon. Try not to get too big of a headache by scowling at that screen.”
“I know.”
The grumbled words didn’t help your concerns. You cast a glance over your shoulder in his direction. The harsh artificial lighting of his office highlighted how he hunched over his work, shone off his suit in a piercing way.
It really couldn’t be good for him to stand like that.
Your first stop took you over an hour to reach and you still didn’t doubt for one second that Miguel would still be working on your return. Though he cared little about food quality lately, you insisted on getting him something healthy and what you knew he would enjoy.
If it took you ages to find, you didn’t mind too much. You knew it wouldn’t impact on your plans going forward.
Around the side of Miguel’s office, a few wires connected just behind a broken section of the wall. You had to hold your breath to squeeze half into it in order to reach them.
“This is a very bad idea.”
You jumped, hit your head against the wall in your startle, and groaned in the unexpected pain. Lyla watched with a humoured smirk from where she’d appeared, projected out of your personal watch.
“It’ll be fine,” you said. “He won’t even know it was me.”
“He will,” she corrected. “But that’s not what I’m worried about. I know you can handle Miguel yourself but I think you shouldn’t play with electricity.”
“When you asked me to get him to take a break, you should have known I’d need to resort to some extreme measures.”
She sighed and waved a hand for you to continue. You squeezed your way further in so you could reach the wire that fed his office and a few of the surrounding halls. Hobie showed you it wouldn’t turn off the rest of the complex when he did it last time as a joke.
“I’ve already backed up everything he’s working on. If he throws you out, I take no responsibility for it.”
You grinned cut the wire. Everything plummeted into darkness around you, computers shut off loudly and the ever-present hum stopped. You grinned proudly and dropped your cutter back into its space before you headed to the office.
You realised one of the main problems when you walked through the doors and spotted him on his platform. The one that wouldn’t move now without electricity.
“Wow,” you said loudly. “Can you believe the timing of this?”
He turned slowly. The silence stretched thickly between you, your smile a match for his glare. Lyla was right, he knew exactly what had happened.
“Either you have to come down here or find a way to get me up there,” you called. “Because I can’t reach you otherwise.”
You held up the food right as a bright web attached to your chest. It pulled you forward and lifted you into the air as though you weighed nothing. It might not be the first time it had happened to you but you’d never really get used to the sensation of being dragged around.
He steadied you when you landed, his hand rested on your arm until you gained your balance back. His lip curled up ever so slightly as he waited.
“I brought food,” you said and sat down in your chair.
“What did you do?”
“Went a ridiculous distance to get this for you,” you noted. “Do you know how far this place is? And then I got back and the power disappeared. Had to walk here in the dark.”
“Do you know how busy I was? How much you may have gotten lost?”
“I’m sure Lyla managed to get it saved. You can take a break while she finds the fault.”
He loomed above you, leaned down and opened his mouth ever so slightly. Finally, you had an opportunity to see those massive fangs you loved so much. You loved his habit of using them to intimidate. He didn’t even do it purposefully.
“You can’t really be blaming me for the electricity,” you said.
“I’m not stupid.”
You finally placed the packet of food aside, reached up and grabbed the front of his suit so you could pull him closer. You used your free hand to cup his jaw, ran your thumb over his bottom lip. Those fangs really were beautiful. What you’d give to have them showing more often…
“I need you to take a break,” you said. “It might take a while to fix. You may as well give your body a small rest, okay?”
Before you let him go, you pressed a small kiss to the underside of his jaw. He leaned into the touch just enough to let you know you’d been somewhat forgiven for your meddling.
He took the food from you, muttered something about stubbornness, and listened as you spoke about everything you’d been waiting to tell him.

"I remembered how I was sitting at my dining table, eating.
Just minding my business and trying to calm down from my stressful day at work. But everything changed with a sudden white light illuminating my surroundings completely." I said, looking into everyone's faces. We sat in a circle. On the cold white ground. What seemed to be LED lights shone so bright, it hurt my eyes at the beginning. Now my eyes didn't mind anymore. The walls were empty and cold.
I turned to look behind me. Looked at the big glass where these aliens are probably observing us. "And that's how I ended up here, in this room. That's all I know." My glance shifted right back at the group. We were three women and three men. Some acknowledged my story by nodding, others by just looking at me wide eyed. I was last to tell. Their stories weren't any diffrent. All of them experienced that white illuminating light. And then they were waking up in here.
I have no idea how long we've already been here. But probably not even a day. Neither do I have any idea what these aliens want from us. Or if they would be happy to tell us, if they even know our tongue.
For now we just sat around. Trying to wrap our mind around what we should do. What THEY would do. One guy threw in a idiotic plan on how he would try to escape, which was quickly shut down and discouraged by us. Why? Because we already saw these aliens. We saw how they were built and could easily lift a out of hand human, to throw them out. The guy they threw out was here again, but he was now quiet. I don't know what they did to him. He doesn't tell either.
After a while our conversations got more quiet, less frequent. I personally was frustrated there was nothing to pass time here. Frustrated I still don't know what the fuck they want. I was laying on the ground for a while now. Others laying too, or sitting against the wall. Suddenly the lights dimmed. I jump up and look around. See if I can spot any differences. Nothing. After a few seconds a big plate from underneath the viewing window was brought into the room. On it were various kind of fruits and vegetables from earth. We all looked at each other. Confused. Should we eat it? Is it poisoned? A woman took the first step. "I'm hungry!", she exclaimed. She took a Mango and bit right in it, peeling the skin then, when she punctured the Mango.
Everyone else followed. I did so too, grabbing an apple, inspecting it. I stood close to the viewing window. Out of curiosity I pressed my forehead against it, I could see the shape of these aliens. They stared at me. Noting something in their, what seemed to be, computers. I sat down on the ground. Just like everyone else. We were now gathered around the plate containing food.
After what seemed to be another hour, the light turned even more dim. Enough to see, but significantly more darker. "I have to use the toilet. Real bad", one of the guys said. "Use the corner?" The other guy said. One girl got mad and made a gagging sound "Are you crazy?" "Well where else is he supposed to go? There's nothing here!"
I look up at the window, and point at it. "Maybe we can ask them?" "Oh sure. Please mister or misses alien, give us a toilet." The guy who had to pee said mockingly. The girl that was still quiet since the beginning sighed and said we should give it a try. She stood up. She looked at all of us, unsure if she should really do it. I nodded. The pee guy nodded too. "Toilet! We need a toilet!" She screamed at the window. Nothing happened. I look through the window again making sure someone is even on the other side. Which yes they are. I look at the girl. "Do it again", I said. She screamed again. This time I joined in and banged my fist against the window. The guy who had to pee chuckled and mocked us again.
Suddenly the big plate was taken back. The sound of a motor made us all go quiet. We looked at where the sound came from. We all starred in awe as a new small room in a corner was build. The new walls including a door came out of the big walls. The motor kept whirring until it seemed to lock in. The guy who had to pee stood up and bolted for that room. As he opened the door he screamed out in ecstasy. "It's an actual fucking bathroom!" He slammed the door, locking it and doing his thing. We could hear muffled yelling. "It has a shower and everything, holy shit!"
The girl who was screaming at the window to get a toilet sat down again. We were all still in our spot. And the rest of the room was still empty. We were all in that corner as if the rest of the room is bad. The guy came back from his bathroom break. Sat down with us as well. I didn't know anyone. Not even their names. Would it be awkward to ask now? Whatever. I'll do it. "I'm Y/N."
They looked up at me. Silence.
"I'm Dave", said the pee guy. "Rachel." The girl that screamed but was always silent.
"Maria", she smiled as she said her name. The girl that was disgusted by the 'pee in the corner suggestion'. "Alexander. But Alex is cool too" said the guy who had lost his temper at the start and was taken by these aliens to god knows where but brought back.
The guy who suggested Dave to pee in the corner sighed. "Nick."
"Is that short for anything?" Maria asked. "Nicklas." Silence again. So now we know each others names. I was tired. I layed down. Some others followed soon after. Motor whirring came up again. We jumped up to look. Out of the wall came beds. For everyone one. They were lined up next to each other on one wall, next to the bathroom. We looked at each other again. We slowly stood up and went over. A fight soon came to ensue. No one wanted to sleep right next to the window. "One of the men have to go on that bed!" Rachel stood her ground. "Nuh uh", said Nick, "I won't let them grab me first!"
"There's not even a door there! To be frank the door is over there!", Dave pointed at the other wall, the door was disguised. The wall plate was over it, covering the door. We all know. Because Alex was taken through it. "Nick, they're always gonna be watching us, everyone of us. It doesn't matter." I said. Nick turned to me. "Then go ahead and sleep on this bed. It's all yours."
I rolled my eyes. I looked at it. At all of them. None of them had blankets. Only pillows and a matress. I nodded. "Fine." Since this discussing was over we all just laid down. Alex still sat on the foot end of his bed. Starring at the opposite wall and where the door is. I was too tired to hold more conversation today. And I don't want to push him. So I just fell asleep.
The next day was more of the same. Our day was started by being woken up by motor whirring sound. Another plate with the same food being brought in. But instead of grabbing something everyone groaned and made a run for the bathroom. Some were faster some slower. I stood up slowly. I didn't have to pee that badly. I passed Alex bed. He was still laying in it. Eyes closed. Snoring. He's a deep sleeper. The line became smaller and smaller. And at last we were all gathered around the table and eating. Except for Alex.
"What did he see?" Maria asked. Everyone shrugged their shoulders. Silence. Maybe no one wanted to keep talking about it because maybe these aliens will get mad. Understandable. We left some food for Alex on the plate. As we stood up and went back to our respective beds to sit down on soft ground the motor starter whirring again. The plate with Alex's food was taken back. Since I was closest to the window and the plate I jumped up and grabbed the left overs before it was fully gone.
I placed it at the foot end of my bed. Waiting on my bed for anything to happen. Dave stood up and banged his fist at the window. "We're bored!" Maria rolled her eyes. There was no reaction even after a while. "Ask for something specific." Rachel said. I nod. "Oh! Like a PC or something." We all looked at Maria's comment. "A PC? What would you want with that? I doubt they have earth Internet access or would allow us to use theirs. If they even have that." Dave said.
"Well they do have PCs so I think they might have Internet? But... yeah. Ask for something else maybe?" I said. Dave resumed banging on the window. "Give us paper and pen! Paper! Pen!" Alex was awoken by the comotion. He grunted. "Shut the fuck up!" Motor started whirring again. A table with a chair like thing appeared. Right in the middle. On it, was nothing. Dave turned to the window again. "For gods sake, Pen! Paper!" Another whirring. This time the plate where usually the food was, came with several pencils and a stack of paper.
Dave grabbed a pen and paper. "If you're up for it, let's play some paper games." Not even a minute later we all gathered on the ground playing 'Town, Country, River'.
It's been days now. Painted and written paper was scattered underneath our beds. We requested a few more things. Like music, but it was a Walkman or whatever you called them from the 80s. We tried requesting a movie, all we got was a Disc, but no TV or anything. It doesn't even say what kind of movie or other media it contains. We requested a flashlight because Maria started to freak out when the lights dimmed for the night, which they granted. We requested actual cooked meals. But all that came was questionable looking things. They tried their best but... didn't look to edible. We did taste it. Either it was bland or not cooked through. So we kept eating fruits and vegetables. Yes. We did try to request raw foods, even going as far as to write and draw the ingredients and what tools we'd need, but they didn't do anything. None of them ever came in since Alex little incident. Not until this day.
We weren't sure if they had cameras in this room or not. Or where their blindspots are. So we came up with something. Nick, who had suggested before that we should try and escape, 'invented' the human pile. We would throw ourselves on a pile, laying on the ground with our stomach, basically. So our heads would be looking down at the same spot in the middle and our heads would be so close together we'd maybe have the chance of a camera not catching what we write on a piece of paper. We'd also be stacked upon each other, and someone would have to hold Maria's flashlight so we could see what was written on the paper. Because that's how close our heads had to be. Of course these aliens must wonder and get suspicious what we'd do. So we started out with drawing really weird things like memes. Of course we'd laugh about it. We all hoped the aliens would think we were just doing some stupid human bonding stuff drawing these pictures.
And only in-between we wrote the plans and discussions for escaping. We'd black them out or overdraw them with memes. Just to make sure. Our plan so far? The strongest must pretend that he has a heart attack or something. Everyone else needs to back up against the empty wall and pretend to be scared, where the door is. So when they open it the second strongest and strongest can distract them aliens. But why try to escape? We were here since days. Pretty sure we're on a planet. Not ours but a planet. We can hear no big motor sound that made us think that we were still in space or something. Also the fruits and vegetables changed in shape, size and color that it made us think that these ones are not from earth anymore. They looked more alien yet earthly. Like they've ran out of earth veggies and fruits and now only have their similar stuff left.
Maybe we'd have a chance of surviving out there. But we won't stay here forever. We asked them on how long they plan on keeping us here. What they want. But no answer ever came. They just starred back at us through the window. We're not gonna die here.
The day of the plan finally came. We all kept acting as always. Wake up. Eat. Do something. Nick and Dave worked out, push ups, squats, whatever, trying go get more pumped up for later. Alex was still in bed, not yet getting up, but due to the circumstances fully awake. Maria, me and Rachel on the ground playing or drawing. Rachel then got up. She took some tomatoes from under her bed that she kept there from this morning and started screaming and acting weirdly. The plan has started.
Maria and I got up. Looking at her. The men turned to look at her. We all pretend to be in shock. She started throwing the tomatoes on the window. Taking the table and throwing it against the window. Dave shoved the table to the wall, where he ordered us to go and stay safe away from Rachel. Still the plan.
I felt my heart pumping hard. I am so nervous. This could go so wrong. Suddenly the plates were moved and the door was opened. An alien came in and headed towards Rachel. Dave immediately grabbed the table and smashed it down on the alien. They got into a fight, the table broke so Dave took a piece and hit it over and over again. The alien groaned. We ran towards the door. It was closed. There were buttons tho. Alex pressed the one he remembered the most from the day he was taken. It opened. Just as wanted to slip through the door closed on me and Dave. Dave got stuck between the door. It didn't do much. But the wall plates started moving to shut close. We heard the others scream from the other side. Nick and Rachel quickly taking over and running away with the other two.
The wall plates didn't stop. Dave screamed for help. I grabbed his arm and started to pull him, but his other arm was stuck in the door. He flexed it, twisted and turned it, but it was stuck. The wall finally came to a close. I screamed and looked away as a crunching noise emitted the room. I shut my eyes and held my ears with my hands that quickly let go of Dave. I looked at the ground. My back was turned to Dave. A puddle of blood came close to my shoes. I took away my hands from my ears. Listening if I could hear Dave speak or breath. Nothing. Silence.
I felt nauseous. I felt like I was about to drop dead myself. I couldn't bear looking back at him now. I dont want to see his crushed body. The alien that has been hit layed in front of me. Seemingly unconscious as he was still breathing. Defeated I sat down next to it. I couldn't even bear to sit on the bed now. I heard commotion behind me. The wall plates and door moving to open. Daves body hit the ground, before he was dragged out. When I was sure he was gone, I turned as well. Ther was no alien standing guard. So I jumped up and ran- but the unconscious alien grabbed my arm and jerked me right back down with one motion. He wasn't unconscious. He was pretending like we were. "Please let me go." I said, still trying to pull away but the alien was just too strong.
It got up. Its large frame hovering over me. It was wider than me too. His muscles seemed so large and its grip... two things that showed me that it could crush my skull easily if it wanted to. I was as well lifted up to stand. Another alien, unlike the one holding me, wore white instead of silver armor. The one now standing in the doorframe also seemed to wear more fabric. Was more covered. The one holding me seemed to wear the more basic armor or clothes. So I thought. They communicated in a tongue I couldn't understand. When they were done, the one holding me looked down to me, looking deeply into my eyes. I looked at it back. It's eyes shone yellow, against his dark, almost black and brown shades of reptile like skin.
I couldn't read its emotions. Out of no where it yanked me with it, dragging me god knows where. Are they going to put me down, out of my misery like the experiment animals that we maybe were? I was dragged out of the room, I jumped over the puddle of Daves blood. Feeling disgusted and being reminded about these sounds his body made. I'd never forget that. Hallways and hallways without end. We seemed to get into another testing facility. As it still dragged me, we passed embryos of various types of unrecognisable creatures kept in large tubes.
I didn't fully understand, couldn't grasp on it that quickly. Until we reached a empty room. It wasn't large. Maybe 10 feet in every direction. "Are you going to kill me?" I asked. The alien looked at me. It shook its head no. It could understand me. "What will you do then?" It tilted its head to the side. A deep voice, growling animalistic, started to speak. "Experiment." "Experiment?", I looked at it shocked. It could speak. But what does it mean? "What were you planning with my group?" It took a while until it could form another sentence, like as if it was trying to make sure it was using the right words. "Ooman social Experiment. But now they dead." It said in broken English.
I looked at it wide eyed. "You just wanted to observe our behaviour?" It nodded. "When ooman is entrapped, yes." "And then?"
"Let ooman free again, but oomans tried escape, now dead." My eyes widened even more. "You would have let us go??" A tear ran down my face, knowing we would have made it out alive anyways. "They're dead? I saw them run out!" "We killed." It said almost confident. I looked at it now with confusion. "So why not kill me, huh!?"
"Other experiment. I decide." I tilted my head now too. "Other experiment?" "Yes, but ooman will not get out of this." It said stepping closer to me. I took a step back, trying to create distance, it tried to grab my arms but I quickly turned and tried to get to the door. It did reach it, but I didn't know which button to press, neither did pressing all of them help. Or all of them at the same time, before it grabbed me by the waist, to slam me onto his frontal body. "No escape, ooman", it growled above my head. Not long after it placed its hands on my pants colar. I placed my hands on its arms, trying to get these arms away from there, knowing where this will go. My pants buttons were ripped right off, didn't matter how much I tried to get it away. It then pulled down all of that I wore underneath my waist. Now my bare ass and vagina were exposed to the cold air. One hand was placed right between my legs, cupping my vagina, while it's middle finger started working on my clit. It send out signals to my brain I didn't want. I yelped like a puppy. I saw how it threw a cloth to the side of us. I remember it, it was the cloth between its legs. That was seemingly worn as a type of pants.
I grabbed its arms, that was still cupping and working on my vagina, still trying to push it away, I clenched my legs together, making the feeling and every movement even more intense unwillingly. My yelps have turned into small gasps of air. I leaned back on its chest, looking up on it. "Please stop" I begged. It leaned down, so much so that I was made to bend over in the process. Its hand stopped cupping me. And the other was on my neck, its pressure on my neck and now waist made me arch my back. "Stay." It demanded. I whimpered, but I obeyed. Pleased that I stood still, I felt it part my fold with its fingers. If I wasn't sure if this alien was male before I was sure enough now.
Before I knew he placed the tip of his cock into my vagina, before grabbing my hips and slamming his length into me. A scream left my mouth. A pained one. It was something I never felt before. A girth what felt like almost 4 fingers wide and a length that hit my cervix on the first slam. And from what I could feel, he still had more, that just couldn't fit in. He leaned down back to me, so my back and his chest weren't ever to part. "Mate." He said. He started with a slow pace, i could feel more of his cocks texture. It seemed to have some kind of small knobs on it, on its shaft. My face felt hot. Almost burning. I didn't know where to place my hands, so i placed them on top of his. Almost grabbing him. "My mate." He growled even more as his breath seemed to picked up with his pace. Him hitting my cervix now harder made me squirm in pain, but at the same time it felt good. His pace got even more faster. My right hand traveled to his right side of his hip, trying to push him away, or at least to make him slow down. It was too much for me, as I let my head drop, my eyes roll back and soft moans now escaping my mouth, his pace dropped but his thrusts became more violent, as well as his grunts. Not long after he buried his cock as deep as he could, standing up straight and letting me feel his warm cum fill me, as he still held me in place with his hands on my hips.
I saw it drip down along my thighs, it was a glowing greenish substance. "My mate." It repeatedly muttered. My heart pace calmed down after a while. As well as my body seemed to as well. So he pulled out. "Ah'kun", he said, pointing to himself, before he put back on his cloth covering his dick. He left the room without a word.
I stood there trembling, unsure what to do now. How to even process what just happened or throughout the whole day to be exact. Ah'kun did come back after a while. Bringing another cloth, almost looking like fancy panties, with sumo like cloth in the front and back. He held it infrong of my feet. He wanted me to step in so he could make me wear it? I guess so. So i did. He pulled it up. It was almost a bit too tight. But it should do for now. In the same motion as he pulled up my new panties or pants, he undid my shirt and bra. Of course I tried to go against it, but he just didn't bother. He was still stronger. He disposed all of my clothes with a trashcan that came out by pressing something on an empty wall. Right after he dragged me out. I was now wearing nothing but these weird panties. "Forgot..." He said. Taking a necklace of his neck and binding it around mine. "What is that?" I asked, looking at the necklace seemingly made out of bones. "Shows everyone your mate. My mate."
I look at him. At this point, I wasn't a experiment to him anymore, wasn't I? He took my silence for an answer, that was good enough for him. As we stepped outside into the daylight, we were right. We were on a planet. A tropical one. With what almost looked like aztec pyramids. And it seemed to be normal that these aliens wore only these panties. Even the female ones. Only few wore armor. "Why don't they all have armor?" I looked at him, as he held my hand. "No hunters or warrior" he pointed at the majority that didn't wear armor. "And you?" I said, I looked back and forth at them and him. "I, elite hunter. You have luck, my mate." He started to get confident again.
"Why luck?" "Elite hunter, high status." He said even more confident. His ego definitely stroked. He dragged me down the stairs of the pyramid we were in. The lab pyramid I'm taking. As we stepped out of the shadow, it was even a smart idea of him to remove my warm clothing. Because the sun here was brutally hot.
We were walking for a bit, the other aliens looked at us, specifically me. Some talked with Ah'kun, in their native tongue of course. Giving him proud pats on the back. Was a human mate an achievement? A trophy? Who knows. I don't. We finally reached another pyramid, one of those many. "My home, you live now too, here."
He closed the door behind me. In here, the air was cool again. The decorations and furniture style felt similar to several antique human civilisations, but yet held their advanced alien touch. I looked everywhere. There was even an armor room. Where his helmets and other armor were displayed. A trophy room with several heads of all kinds of creatures.
I kept looking. I found everything you'd expect from an house. Bathroom, bedroom, kitchen, living room. And empty or barely filled rooms. "What's all the empty rooms for?" "Storage. And little ones." I tilted my head. "Little ones?" He nodded. Did he mean kids? Was I even able to give that to him? What was I thinking. When did I start to be okay with this? This isn't my planet. In that moment it dawned on me. Was this my life now? I started crying. Not just because of the fact that I was here, but because of all of this.
Ah'kun patted me caringly on the back. "You will be good mom, no worry."

The Apocalypse was over and Five Hargreaves did what he did best, drink and cope. The first few weeks of freedom he tried things he had missed early on in his childhood. It started when Viktor took him shopping for a new, more appropriate wardrobe, that someone who looked his age would wear. Then he would often visit the park just to admire the beauty of places that were once a baron landscape. And sometimes he just spent his time reading catching up on what he missed in the last few years.
But old habits die hard when you spend 54 years alone and the next 2 weeks desperate to save yourself and save your family. Maybe Klaus was right when he called the apocalypse his drug because, for a while, it was all he’d ever know.
Five hadn’t slept well in a long time and despite his newfound freedom without the looming feeling of impending doom. He would find himself waking up at 4 am to check his window and just to see if everything was real.
The Academy had been empty for a bit, the first week his family had stayed back to collect themselves, celebrate, and appreciate one another but slowly their lives fell back into place. Allison went back to Claire wanting to get back her career and her daughter back. Luther wanted to find his independence and took a small helping from his inheritance to live on his own. Diego and Lila had also moved out in hopes of continuing to grow their relationship and perhaps find happiness in normalcy. Viktor, now confident in himself wanting to explore the world more began traveling and meeting new people. To Five it felt like everyone had moved on, except him. He had been the one to jump through time, and now he felt like he was stuck in it.
However this morning, his silent coffee and breakfast time was interrupted but a surprisingly sober Klaus barging through the door with a girl no taller than 5’3 who looked as if she had been dragged through the mud and a forest in his arms.
“I didn’t know where to bring her she ran into me frantic and couldn’t speak much,”
“There wasn’t anyone chasing her so I have no idea where she came from and she’s in pretty bad shape.”
Klaus looked panicked, he felt bad for the beat-up girl in his arms but what could he do besides bring her to the place he knew could help her best.
Grace and Pogo immediately took action, bringing the girl into the spare room to care for her wounds.
“What makes you think you can just bring random people in here? She could be dangerous?”
Five arched his eyebrow at Klaus’s behavior. He wasn’t a trusting man but he trusted his brother’s intuition and the girl genuinely looked like she needed help.
“I couldn’t just leave her on the road. I’m not a bad person Five. There’s something different about her I swear.”
Five looked distrustful at what his brother was saying.
“Well, we’ll just have to see when she wakes up.”
The two went back to doing their own things in the Academy waiting for you to wake up.
————————-3 days later————————
The sun shone brightly in the room you stayed at. Your eyes slowly opened, blinking harshly to adjust to the shining light. You had no idea where you were, this new place was uncomfortable and unfamiliar. Warm wood furniture decorated the walls, and the mattress you slept on seemed more comfy, soft, and warmer than your old hay-filled cot. Unsurprisingly your wounds ached but were clean nevertheless. You jumped when the door swung open to reveal a monkey? no an ape? in a suit. "Ah you're finally awake, Ill let the others know"
"I am Pogo by the way, please rest, we don't want your stitches reopening." Maybe it was the exhaustion catching up to you, but you listened to his words and laid back, staring at the large high ceilings waiting to see if whoever brought you here would be your like your old doctors. Back downstairs Pogo noticed Five pacing around in the living room. "Any troubles worrying you?" "Yes that girl, I can't find any information about her, she had no ID, no name card, I even looked around the area trying to track back where she came from, and nothing." Five glanced around, more cautious of his surroundings
"What if the commission sent her?" "This is not good, not good at all"
And with a quick turn, he teleported to the room of which his unwelcome guest occupied. A flash of blue interrupted your daydreams when a boy about your age in a green flannel, cargo pants, with slightly long side parted hair entered your space. Besides appearing out of nowhere he looked almost normal, but that didn't stop you from being scared. Shivering you pushed yourself back on the bed as far as you could to try to get away from him. Sensing your fear Five held out his hands as a way to show you some form of peace. Lowering one hand he slowly approached you. But the closer he came the farther back you shuffled. Something wasn't right Five thought. You were terrified of him, what had happened to you to cause you to be in such a state.
Hey Im not going to hurt you, I don't know who you are but Im not going to hurt you." Five could see that you weren't budging so he reached into his pocket and pulled out a hazelnut toffee-flavored candy. He wasn't a big fan of sweets but had kept some from his last visit to a local coffee shop. "Here you must be a little hungry, it's good to see." He popped it in his mouth to show her that it was safe, not a trick. Slowly you reached out and touched his hand, grabbing the little treat, unwrapping it before letting the gooey sweet melt on your tongue. Five smiled at your reaction. "See? It was good." He thought you looked adorable with big doe eyes waiting to see if he had any more. He reached into his right pocket and pulled out another handle full of candies. "Ill give you one each time you answer a question. Can you do that for me?" You nodded slowly. "Okay, can you tell me your name?" "Angel" you pointed to yourself "Five" you pointed to him. You had heard Klaus shouting his name when you entered the house. "Angel? Do you have a last time?" "Five. Five Hargreeves" He pointed to himself. "Angel" You repeated. Okay maybe you didn't have a last name that was fine, at least he had gotten a name. He gave you another candy and watched you excitedly open it. "Okay Angel, another question where did you come from? Who or what were you running from?" "Doctor" you responded looking down. "What Doctor? What did he do to you." You felt like you should have known better than to trust the boy in front of you, but he looked so earnest so sweet, that you decided to show him your secret. Opening your fist a ball of shadows appeared in your hand before you tossed it into the air letting whatever light was in the room dissipate. Five knew what this had suggested. Whoever took you, held you captive, and experimented on you. Perhaps they were trying to make you into one of the unlucky 43. Another candy was handed to you.
“Show me more” Five demanded. You blinked at him slowly before he put another candy in your hand. “Show me.”
You looked at him and brought both your hands up into the air. He watched shadows run from the ground into the room and swirl around you. It appeared you could summon shadows at your will and control them.
“Good girl” and another candy as placed in your hand. "Tell me, Angel, do you know where or who it was? Do you know the name of the commission?" You stared at him blankly not understanding what he said. Before Five could ask any more questions Klaus had burst through the door. "My Angel! You are okay !" As he rushed towards you to grab your face. Stunned you jolted back from his presence. "Angel, that's why she called herself that, it's not her name, it’s what you called her!" Five went to smack Klaus in the back of the head when his hand was stopped by a shadow. "No hurt, Klaus friend" With heart eyes, Klaus dove into Angel's arms "LOOK AT MY ANGEL PROTECTING ME!!" With the gentleness of a newborn deer, Angel reached out to Klaus with a small sweet in her hand. "Candy?" "For me? Of course, Angel thank you!" Rolling his eyes at the scene Five teleported to his room to think. Where had this girl come from she had no name could barely speak and had a dark power with unknown consequences. Angel clad in Umbrella Academy uniform, and Klaus were in the living room when a flash appeared in the doorway. "Cinco! Where are you off to?" "Library I need to do some research." But just before he would reach for the doorknob a body was flung into his back. "Here take Angel with you, she needs a new set of clothes, can't have her wearing this uniform, you know all about that wouldn't you?" Klaus said as he shoved Angel forward. "I don't have time, I'm not a babysitter." Five expressed as he grabbed your arms and pushed you back. "Five...mad?" You looked up at Five with tears in your eyes. Reaching out to his face with his hand you softly pet his cheek. "Five...happy. Happy"
The time travelers face softened at the kindness you showed while trying to console him.
“I’m sorry Angel, yes Five is happy. Come on let’s go.”
He grabbed your hand ignoring the feeling of his heart when your soft skin wrapped around his.
————————-In the Car—————————
“Alright Angel, as cute as you look in the uniform we have to get you some normal clothes.”
Five looked over at you, but you were looking out the window. His green eyes passed over the cuts on your legs and the faint but visible bruises on your neck. It wondered him how someone could do this to you, turn a girl who seemed like an Angel into a shadow user. He parked the car at Gimble's before flashing to your side of the door to open it, Five was still a gentleman after all. "Okay now Angel, we're here to buy you some new clothes." You nodded your head to show you understood him and hopped out of the car excited to see the world around you. Being locked up for so long you had forgotten what the outside world looked like. Today the sky was blue with warm gusts of winds filling the air. People and families were seen chattering about. You reached out to grab Five's arm and pulled him closer to the store. Five chucked at your childlike antics, letting himself be whisked away by you. You dragged him to the dress section; some of the kinder doctors had given you books to look at to pass the time, many of them being princess books. There were cute frilly dresses that caught your eye immediately. Rushing forward you grabbed 3 dresses that might have suited you. With a sigh Five grabbed your shoulders wanting to tell you to go find some more practical everyday clothes. But after seeing the glimmer in your eye as if you found the most priceless thing...he couldn't bear take that away from you. "Come on Princess, let's go try them on." He ushered you to the changing room and waited outside. As he turned his back you grabbed his hand, but Five had yanked it back at the unexpected contact. He wasn't completely used to physical touch yet.
Ignoring this you grabbed his hand once more and tried to take him into the dressing room with you. "No Angel I can't go with you, just put on the dresses inside and Ill wait out here."
You had refused to let go of his hand. With another sign he allowed himself to be pulled into the confined space of the changing room. You quickly shimmied out of the uniform skirt and tie throwing it into a random corner. Five's face turned a deep scarlet red, although he was an older man the sight of your small and barely clothes body was enough to make him shift in his pants. Before he could embarrass himself any further he blinked out into the waiting room fanning his face as if he ran a marathon. There were small warning signs in his brain, don't get too attached, she doesn't know better, please don't get a boner right now. Trying to collect himself he put his hands in his face wanting to be anywhere but here right now. You interrupted his train of thought when you came out bouncing with a big smile on your face. The dress you picked out was a cute white summer dress that was white had thick straps tied on your shoulders. The skirt part stopped right above your knees and flared out with a twirl. You looked absolutely adorable, an Angel who wielded the power of a devil. "You look...beautiful" Five muffled through his hand. "Beautiful?" You questioned. "Yes you, Angel, you are beautiful." And as if your smile couldn't get any bigger, you ran and jumped into Five, his arms slowly wrapping around your frame to prevent you from falling.
"Five! Beautiful!" You smiled and pointed at him. Your fingers had graced his cheeks into a smile. Pointing at his dimple "Five! Beautiful" you repeated. "Oh, you think I'm beautiful Angel?" Five couldn't help but also feel happy and continue smiling, something about you felt like a breath of fresh air. His last few weeks had been nonstop paranoia and feeling the effects of an identity crisis, but hearing your laughter and seeing you call him beautiful, it felt as if he was actually living again. However, that didn't stop the nagging fear in the back of his mind of where you came from and what had happened to you. Perhaps it was the assassin in him that just couldn't let him...enjoy a moment. "Come on Angel, let’s get the rest of the dresses and pay. We need to head to the library before it closes." You nodded your head and skipped off to grab the rest of your dresses and clothes. You and Five stood at the cashier waiting to pay. "That will be 45.78." Five pulled out a 50 and felt your head lean on his shoulder. "Five, thank you." You looked up at him with a mischievous gleam in your eye. As he was retrieving his change you leaned up and placed your soft lips on the corner of his mouth. "Five happy?" He looked down at you and blushed "Yes Five is very happy." ————————The Library—————————- You were sat in Five's lap flipping through a picture book while he was doing research. Unfortunately, there was almost no information about any kind of suspicious activities in the area where they had found you or even how you even got to the city. Five had to expand his research on places that might have to do with experimental tests but with so little access he was found himself at a dead end. "Nothing! Absolutely Nothing!" Five yelled before slamming his notebook on the table. You jumped in his lap and covered your ears, eyes filling with heavy teardrops waiting to fall. "Shit Angel Im sorry come here." He cooed wrapping his arms around you for the fourth time today. Five pressed a kiss to the top of your hair and inhaled slowly. You smelt like a blooming meadow and a hint of cinnamon. Closing his eyes he rested his head on yours. It wasn't been often when he felt a peace like this, heck he didn’t even remember the last time he felt calm, other than when he was drinking or passed out after a mission. Your eyelashes fluttered on his neck as you began to press small kisses on his jawline. "Come on Angel what are you doing?" "Make Five happy. Kiss you" You mumbled and continued leaving marks on his neck and jaw. Five clenched his fists around you "Angel if you keep this us I'm not going to be able to hold back." Five groaned as he pulled you closer into his lap. And with his last bit of resolve, he blinked you guys back into the car. "Come on Angel let's go home." He kissed your cheek slightly to assure you he wasn't mad and drove the two of you back. ————————the academy———————--- "Mi hermano and Angel ! You guys are back" Klaus shouted from the couch he was currently lying on. You ran into the living room jumping in front of Klaus to show off your dress.
"My cutie Angel! You look so pretty!"
Klaus then swept you off your feet and into a fit of giggles. Five, who had been observing the scene from the bar was actively trying to fight off the green monster that was creeping up his heart. "Leave her alone Klaus we had a long day. Come on Angel let's have your shower and get ready for bed." It was obvious you needed to be cared for and Five had already begun to assume the role. Pulling out some extra pajamas Five had in his wardrobe he handed them to you before showing you the bathroom. "Shower here and come back to my room when you are done okay?" You nodded back and went into the bathroom. With a sign Five flopped on his back in bed wondering more about you. How could someone he just met cause him to feel such a way? Maybe it was his messed up time-traveling brain that was causing these emotions but deep down he knew he had a hidden attraction to you. He began to think more about your powers. You couldn't be part of the 43 because you were too young but you also showed an understanding of your abilities and more control than Viktor did when he first found out about his. Five would have to talk to you after you shower about your abilities. Small footsteps padded outside his room before stopping. The door swung open and there you stood wrapped in only a small towel Grace had given you. Five green eyes turned wide as you skipped into his room.. You had turned to grab the pajamas he had left you on the bed and dropped your towel. Five sat up instantly, his eyes wandered over the curve of your breasts and the plumpness of your backside. Being in the apocalypse and focused on getting back home to his family never allowed him much time for romance or women, besides Delores. You stood up as bare as the day you were born, nipples perked up at the cold air and you put the silk top and bottom on. Now properly clothed you turned to Five who was staring at you with eyes that rivaled a burning sun. In a blink, he was in front of you grabbing your waist with such a force it felt like you would disappear if he let go. Bringing his lips to your neck he kissed gently and dragged his face to meet your eyes. Soft despreate lips met plump shy ones as you and Five melted into each other. The kiss grew hungry, more desperate, both parties missing the feel of one another. The two of you fell back onto the bed with Five on top of you. Two souls both isolated from the world finally finding solstice in one another. All the questions Five had for you were gone from his mind, the only thing replacing it was the thought of how your body felt against his. A small hand reached into the front of Five's pants. "I want to help Five" You had whispered into his ear. It was going to be a long night.

I’d want to make this into a full series although and go really in depth about Angel who she is and how she got her powers and I defiantly want to bring back the rest of the Hargreaves but I'm not sure when Ill have another creative burst.

PARTY CRUSH
{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairings : aged!up!earth42!Miles x fem!reader
warnings : alcohol, start of a smut, twerk, sensual touches (AGED UP MILES)
summary : Miles is secretly the Prowler, you are his best-friend, his girl best-friend. And you know about his secret identity from the beginning. This night, Miles used to join you at a party, he isn’t really attracted by parties but go because you insisted.
a/n : FIRST FANFIC GUYS ! I am literally obsessed with Prowler Miles😌 so hope you like it ✌️
PT.2
{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}
You were in your room, trying some fits for the party. You were on a face time with your best friend too, you actually showed him some fits and he let you know which one was nice. You finished pulling up the straps of your shirt purple dress and go to the field of your camera to show Miles the dress. He was getting ready to do a mission as the Prowler. After this mission he used to join you at the party.
“What ‘bout this ?” you say, turning around to show him. The tight dress shone but not too much. You waited for his answer as he looked at your body. You cleared your throat to let him know you were waiting when he looked up to you across his phone.
“Mmm ? Oh ! The dress is….tight, isn’t she ?” He looked at you questioning with his eyes, you could tell, a lil bothered.
“Yea, that’s pretty in that way, nah ?” You said softly as you looked at your body in the mirror. Questioning if you looked good.
“Yea, well…you look good, ma” he mumbled, bothered. You could tell, something was going on. He looked at you, as you looked at yourself in your mirror before heading back to his business.
“Miles Gonzalo Morales, what’s the matter ?” You sighed as you looked at his face, questioning.
“Can’t you just…wear something above your dress the time I won’t be there ?” He said not facing you, just doing his own business. You looked pissed off he said that.
‘How could he not trust you ?’
You sighed, not ready to allow, so you didn’t responded, you finished your makeup, on your vanity near your phone. He couldn’t see you in the field of the camera. He ad finished his business and is gonna head to the mission. You knew that when he called you
“Listen, (y/n), I trust you, just, take care of yourself till I come. I’ll join you in 1 hour, okay ?” he said softly, yet directive. He was gonna hang up, because he needed to head to his mission right the way
you sighed and appear to the field of the camera to mumble “I’ll take care of myself till you join me, okay” he sighed of relief and waved a lil bye bye that you waved back with a smile
*30 minutes after*
You arrived at the entry of the nightclub and walked in, miles was supposed to be there in 30 minutes. You entered the nightclub, you saw were the dance floor was, were the bar was, were the couches were and surprisingly, the strip bars.
You arrived and walked to the bar, asking for a drink, specially a cocktail, ‘sex on the beach’. You started drinking while analysing every ‘teams’ in the nightclub, you didn’t wanted to go dancing alone, but you did. You started heading to the dance floor after drinking ass dry your drink.
You started doing movements with your body, spinning on yourself and before you knew it was time for Miles to join you. As you danced with random girls. He saw you on the dance floor and smirked then head to the bar to get a drink.
You were actually really drunk and wasn’t always knowing what you were doing. He finished his drink quickly and ask for another before drinking 3 drinks. He then decided to join you, but as he go to the dance floor, the music changed. For a…twerk one…
*put the music on*
It was your favourite song for your sensual dance and Miles knew it. He join you and tap on your shoulder to let you give your attention to him. When you turned around you smiled widely.
“Miles !” You said as you jumped in his arms, a thing you never do between you both. He was taken aback but with the alcohol, he didn’t mind it too much and grabbed your waist, he was actually drunk too. He turned you to have your back on his chest and said in your ear “twerk for me, ma~”
You felt the heat on your face increase and you felt his large hands on your waist. The music chorus came in and you didn’t mind twerking on him, he was actually your secret crush so, if you could let him fall for you, you’ll do it. You then started twerking, your butt rubbing his crotch, as you twerk on him. You did sensual movements like letting your hands slide from your boobs to your thighs while twerking. It was getting him aroused, he knew he was doing shit, she is his best friend ! But he didn’t mind on the moment, seeing you twerking on him was actual heaven. You were actually his secret crush, it’s hard for him to admit it.
As you turned to face him, your hair a bit on your face due to your movements as you looked at him with ‘those eyes’. You did pelvic movement, while having your hands on his torso, you knew what you were doing was shit, he is your best friend !
Before you knew, Miles dragged you off the dance floor to the couches. He tackle you on the wall near a couch and looked at you with hungry eyes. “ma…I can’t take it anymore…~”he said as a revelation, it was like a love reveal. You just looked at his lips before saying the start word. “Take me~” you said sensually. You were both actually conscious of the act that was gonna happen…
*to be continued !*

Girl Almighty
Pairing: Oscar Piastri x Black Driver!Reader
Summary: In which Oscar is his girlfriend's number one fan and advocate for getting onto the Formula 1 grid.
Word Count: ~3.3k words and a lot of smau
Warning: Twitter environment, mentions of food, crying, parents (it's happy though 😁), goofy friendship fun with various other drivers, Logan being an Oscar and reader stan lowkey
A/N: Like all the other requests, this one was just the best to make. I had to do such a deep dive into Oscar Piastri history because I wanted this idea to really work. This is actually the first of the "drabble" requests I have received so this is the first time you guys are seeing how I'm gonna approach those requests. So if you do ever just request a general "drabble", no specific prompt, I'm gonna put the story to a song that I think fits, unless you want to suggest a song. I do have an 83 hour playlist on Spotify, so if you don't have a song in mind that's fine by me 😁😁😁 Anyway, I hope you all enjoy, especially after Oscar's DNF today, I think this little bit of joy is needed. Love you all! 💖💛💖💛
A/N 2: All of the pictures used for the smau portions are all from pinterest and are not my own product.

2020; Start of the FIA Formula 3 Season
“Okay, breath, Oscar. You can do this.” The pep talk is whispered from Oscar’s mouth as he mentally encourages himself to walk over to you, chatting away with other drivers as you guys wait for the driver meeting to begin. He starts to take a step, watching his feet and taking another deep breath, but when he looks back up again he's stopped in his tracks. It was like a spotlight shone on just you, teeth visible and accompanying the exuberant laugh coming from you, smiling glossy lips and hair half up in 2 fluffy ponytails. Everything around you came back into view when he watched you reach a hand out to push the shoulder of your teammate, Theo, after something he said. Oscar could only watch, waiting until the audience you had around you tapered off one by one.
“That’s her, right?” Oscar jumps at Logan’s arm finding its way around his shoulders.
“Yeah, that’s her.” Oscar practically sighs, cursing Theo who seems to linger around you a little longer.
“She looks different. A really good different.” Logan keeps his attention on you as he speaks, so he’s caught off guard by the elbow Oscar throws into his side. “Alright, man. She’s yours.” He removes his arm from his friend so he could rub his hurting side.
"No, that's not-" Oscar's hands run through his hair to express the conflict in his mind. How, yes he wanted you to be his because he has had a crush on you since you both were 10, but also that he was trying real hard to not make a fool of himself because you've only met twice, once when you guys were 10 and once when you were 14. But both of your rises up the karting ranks, champions in your own rights, all the way up to your F3 debut has been public. So it wouldn't be crazy for him to tell you he remembers you, right?
"Well, whatever it is, now's your chance. She's alone." Logan briefly points your direction and sure enough, there you were, tapping and scrolling on your phone, beautiful face in a neutral position that made your lips pout.
"You know what? Maybe I don't-" Oscar starts to back track, stunned by you, but Logan turns him back around and starts to push him over there.
"No, you've been talking about this for a week straight. If you guys aren't sucking face by the end of the month, I'm writing a formal complaint." Once considered to be within earshot, Logan starts talking about something random, something that goes in one of Oscar's ears and out the other, his heartbeat pounding in his head as he gets close. "Oh hey, I'll be right back I, uh, there's something over there…" Logan gives Oscar one last pat on the back and walks off. For Oscar, the world went silent when you looked up at him, enticing brown eyes putting a shame to his own, lips starting to curl into a polite grin until you get a good look at him, and tilt your head as you visibly began thinking about where you've seen him before. Oscar clears his throat.
"Hi, uh, I don't- I'm, uh, I'm Oscar." He holds out his hand for you to shake. Your hand is nice in his, soft despite calluses that have developed from years of driving, but fit like a puzzle piece. He forced himself to keep his eyes on yours, though it was hard for him to look at you, an angel among men, without doing something drastic.
"Y/n." Your hands linger in each others for a moment after the greeting, but once you pull back your hand you cross your arms and bring an amused smile to your face.
"I don't know if you remember me. We've, um, raced each other a couple times before…" Oscar had no idea what to do with his hands. He wanted to touch you, so bad. Wrap his arms around your waist and push the bit of curly hair that escaped to your shoulder back to its place and wait for it to happen again just so he can be as close as possible to you. Instead he settles with rubbing the nape of neck with one hand and the other waving mildly as he spoke.
"Oh, I remember you. But a couple times…I only remember when we were 10. Karting in Australia. I remember because I lost badly to you." You smile and he melts, and your laugh almost makes him miss what you said.
"Wait, when we were 10, you finished second." He copies you and crosses his arms, that being his best bet of keeping his hands to himself.
"Okay, yeah. By like 4 seconds. That's quite the gap." You look down to pick at your nails, but then jerk your head back up as Oscar's words come back to you. "Okay, so 10, but when was the second time?"
"We were 14. Australia again." He uncrosses his arms and brings his hands to his hips when he sees the confusion on your face. "You won! You beat my ass, actually. By nearly 8 seconds. Logan got third." You thought about it for a moment, eyebrows scrunching as memories moved through your brain, but it was obvious the moment you remembered because a large grin that revealed a dimple in your left cheek spread across your face.
"Okay I remember that. I also remember you doing, like, everything you could for me after. I asked you why and you simply said 'Because you won.' and I asked no more questions after that." You chuckle, bringing a hand to your forehead. "It didn't help that I had a major crush on you, too. I was on cloud nine that entire weekend."
"Oh, you had a crush on me?" The snarkiness of his inquiry far from matched the speed of his heart and the drop in temperature of his hands.
"Don't make fun of me, okay? I was 14, and apparently had a thing for Australians with floofy hair." You motioned at his hair, then replaced your hand on your hip. "I've since gotten over it, but I guess you'll be delighted, and me thoroughly embarrassed, to hear that you and Ashton Irwin from 5 Seconds of Summer took turns being my hand when I used to practice kissing." Something got into you in that moment, where it was more important for you to let it be known to Oscar the intensity of your old crush on him, like it would have any influence on your current curiosity.
"Oh. Ha. Well, the feeling was mutual. But, I mean, what boy wouldn't have a crush on the girl who beat them at karting?" Oscar shrugs with his arms still crossed, head tilting toward his left shoulder with the movement.
"It's only natural." You both giggle at the interaction, the words and the timing.
"Well, I think Logan, Frederik and I are trying to figure out something to do tonight, you know after all of the media festivities. Would you want to come? And Theo, too. I don't know what you usually do pre-race weekend, but…" Oscar trails off as he uncrosses his arms and places them in his pocket, looking everywhere but you, subconsciously looking for Logan so he knows what direction to go if he needs to make a quick getaway.
"I think I can find some time to hang out with a couple of old fans." Your smile nearly knocks Oscar off his feet, literally, because after you accepted his invitation, he heard Logan calling for him, to which he automatically started moving in that direction making him stumble over his own feet, but luckily he catches himself.
"Okay, good-uh, cool. I'll, um…I'll text you the plans once we figure them out." He starts to jog away, confident in what had just taken place.
"You'll need my number for that." You stayed in place, arms crossed, smiling when Oscar turns around to jog back to you.
"You are correct." Oscar gives you a beaming smile as he reaches for your phone while pulling out his.

2022; Your 2nd Formula 2 Season, Oscar's Alpine Reserve Season
"Hey, baby. Did you just get home?" You wave to one last person as you leave the Alfa Romeo facility in Zurich, harshly inhaling as you step out into the nippy mid-October Swiss air.
"Yes, after a long day in the sim. I see you're just leaving, too. It's, like, 7pm there, right?" Oscar props his phone on the bottle of cooking oil next to him at enough of a distance so you can see most of him while he's cooking his dinner.
"If it 6pm in Enstone, theennn…." You flash a bright cheeky smile at your sarcasm as you spot your car and head over to it.
"I am not afraid to hang up." Oscar chuckles, briefly looking at the phone while his hands are occupied sautéing vegetables.
"Yes you are, you love me too much." You unlock your car and quickly get in, recoiling from the slight relief that you got from the cold temperature outside. "You also know I could beat you in a fight." You start up your car and allow it to warm up, placing your phone in the holder on the dashboard and removing your coat to toss it in the seat next to you.
"Correct on both points." He pushes his phone back slightly to open up the counter so he had somewhere to place the package of sausages. "You had a couple of workouts today?"
"And a quick sim session and, uh, a meeting. With Fred." You put your car in drive and pull out of the parking spot that you had backed into.
"You were going to talk to him today weren't you? How did that go?" Oscar was fully invested in what you had to say, to the point where he turned off the burners on his stove and sat down on a stool at the counter.
"Well," You chuckle sarcastically thinking about the interaction, trying to bring yourself to talk about it. "It wasn't bad, just…disappointing." You sigh, looking left and right before leaving the Alfa Romeo campus and entering the main road.
"Oh no," One thing Oscar has always done was sympathize with you whenever you felt a strong emotion. You were happy, he was ecstatic. You were mad, he was furious. So when he heard the annoyance and sadness in your chuckle and sigh, he wished he could jump through the screen to comfort you and ring the neck of whoever made you feel that way, which seems to be Fred Vassuer at the moment.
"I asked about the possibility of being a reserve driver or something for Alfa next year. He wasn't rude or anything, I think he actually liked the idea, but in the end he just told me to keep my head down and focus on racing. He also said that while it is nice to be up with the F1 teams, it would be a waste of my driving talents to not be racing on a grid next year, so I think that was his way of telling me it's F2 again next season." You flick on your turn signal and move into a turn lane, slightly more irritated than usual at the slow driver that was in front of you.
"That's stupid." That was all Oscar could say as he set down the phone and ran his fingers through his hair.
"But it was weird because, the way Fred was talking, it was like he had no control over what happens once the season is done." When Oscar picks up his phone again he couldn't help but calm down slightly at your driving concentration face that occasionally turns towards him. "Also, he has never been so adamant about me doing something as much as he was about me staying in a position where I can drive, even if it is F2 again. So, I guess I'll go with it, but I'm not happy about it." You stop at a light and lean back into your seat. You both sat in tense silence, Oscar waiting to see if you had anything else, and you waiting to see if Oscar had any words of wisdom or mutual anger.
"Let's go to Paris." Oscar's words shocked you, even more than the honk behind you that signaled for you to go before anyone got too mad.
"What?" You were tempted to pull over so you could watch Oscar's face as he spoke, to see if he was just kidding you, but you kept on heading home.
"Next week. I'll be at the Viry HQ all week next week, but I'm off during the weekend, and I'm sure you are too. I'll fly you out there. You need to decompress from all of this." He stands up from the stool to head back to his stove, completely serious about his suggestion.
"Really? I love Paris." You start eyeing fast food restaurants the closer you got to home. Maybe it would be too bad to stop for food.
"I know, we'll go to that little café you like. Go to every park we can find. Go to the Louvre so you can look at the art and I can watch you look at the art." He smiles to himself as he cuts up a sausage to toss into another pan.
"Why not just look at the art?" Your stomach rumbles as the smell from a restaurant wafts into your car as you wait at another red light.
"Because, I think it's much more interesting to watch art look at art, and I think myself lucky to be able to do so." You knew this light was long, so you had enough time to stare at Oscar after his cheesy pick up line.
"That was terrible, but…I'll agree to the Paris weekend. As long as there are more jokes like that." You start to drive again as the light turns green.
"No promises. Bad jokes are my MO." Oscar pours the cooked vegetables onto a white plate. "On another note, I see your eyes looking that the restaurant while you drive. I was there when you were cooking your meal prep a couple of days ago. Get home and eat that so you can go to bed."
"Fine." You finally stop searching for a good restaurant and set your sights on home, which was your original plan, but you liked it when Oscar instructed you to take care of yourself. So, home you went, you and your boyfriend blabbing each other's ears off.

2023; Your 3rd Formula 2 Season, Oscar's 1st Formula 1 Season ; Spa- Belgian GP
You park your car in front of the first place sign in parc ferme and quickly and somewhat clumsily remove the steering wheel, climb out your car and replace it, hands shaking from nerves and exhaustion after a hard fought race in the rain. You, first, place your hands on the halo, taking a few deep breaths and grounding yourself to the present, something necessary for you after each race because for you, racing is an out of body experience, something where you are a heightened version of yourself and at a certain point it feels like your watching from a third person view. Once back to the present, you go to get weighed and take note of the cheering. Loud cheering. Much louder than when you normally win. You turn and see your team excited for you and you’re startled when you feel Theo run up and hug you tight once he gets off the scale, yelling something that you didn’t quite catch because he still had his helmet on. You spot your boyfriend and head his direction, confused at the wide smile he had on his face.
“Do you know what you just did?” He had his hands on your shoulders, but you felt a third one touch your shoulder blade when Arthur, who got third in the Sprint, came up behind you.
“Congratulations. You deserve it after the drive you just had. P5 to P1.” You were looking at everyone wide eyed. Did you just do what you think you did? You knew you were ahead in the championship, only needing a few more points to be considered champion because no amount of points would allow anyone to surpass you.
“Did I do it? Drivers’ Championship?” Your voice was light and airy as your gaze switched between Oscar and Charles, who you just then realized was there.
“You did it baby! I knew you could!” You stood in shock, grateful Oscar’s hands were at your waist because you needed to stay steady. As soon as it sunk in you wrapped your arms around Oscar’s neck and started bawling. You worked so hard to get here, tiring yourself out mentally, physically and emotionally. You felt like you were going nowhere but now here you are, your name etched into the history books forever. Oscar consoled you, rubbing your back, and then sent you in the direction of your parents, to whom you continued to bawl on. Nearly every person you encountered received tears somewhere on their person, but luckily by podium time you had no more tears left, so you were able to enjoy your champagne celebration without the embarrassment of crying, Oscar watching happily below until he received a tap on his shoulder.
“I expected nothing less from Yn. She has been amazing since you guys were in F3.” Charles pats Oscar’s back as he turns his attention back to the podium where you and his brother were knocking champagne bottles before taking a swig.
“I know. I’m glad she got this chance but, I can’t help but be pissed because even with all of this,” Oscar waves his hand at the excitement. “She has yet to receive any offers. Even from her own driving academy.”
“Well, I’m sure they’ll start rolling in now. You’ve just got to be patient.” Charles takes off after that to get one more chance to see his brother before getting ready for the Qualifying day, leaving Oscar to stew.
“To hell with patience.” Oscar says under his breath before pulling out his phone and walking to go meet you with your parents, taping something angrily out on his phone.
Tumblr media
“So, Oscar, before we let you go we wanted to ask about the tweet you sent out after Yn’s Sprint Race win that secured the driver’s championship for her. What was going on in that moment as you were tweeting that out?” Oscar looked slowly, wide eyed toward his PR manager who shot daggers through him with her eyes, urging him to not speak which for him wasn’t an option. He was finally given the platform to truly speak on this, but he had to be careful.
“Um, I’ll just answer this briefly because I do have to get going, but…Yn has proved herself time and time again how great of a driver she is. Today was the ultimate testament to that. So it’s up to the teams now, seeing who’s gonna take that leap. Thank you.” Oscar is quickly ushered away, quickly heading back to the McLaren motorhome to recoup before qualifying.
“You just had to, huh?” His PR manager taps her foot and she scrolls and types something out quickly.
“Yes. And it felt amazing.” Oscar lays his head on the tall counter next to him, smiling like a clown down toward the floor before turning to the woman next to him, who lets a satisfied grin flash briefly on her face.
“Fine. I guess it was for a good cause. But please, warn me next time.” The exhausted woman pleads with the smiling boy, twisting her phone in her hand as she waits for the greatly needed confirmation.
“Yes ma’am.” He wraps an arm around her and hugs her close, to which she pulls back since he was still sweaty from the third practice session.
“Now go to the debriefing meeting before you get in trouble for being late, too.” Oscar does as he is told, jogging off to the computer filled room to first be scolded before the important pre-qualifying meeting got underway.

I loved your story chaotic love so much! I have a request if you’re up for it 🥹 thinking about Nyx meeting one of feyre’s friends from the Rainbow and having a kid crush on her. Feyre invites her over for dinner one day where Nyx is telling all of the IC that he’s going to marry her. But then it turns out that she’s cassian’s or azriel’s mate. And then Nyx throws a fit about them stealing her but it’s all super fluffy!
Your kind words hit me straight in the heart. This was so sweet and adorable that I smiled the entire time that I was writing it! I decided to go with Cassian on this one since I haven't gotten the chance to write for him much
Puppy Love
You frowned at the painting before you, scolding yourself for the lack of progress that you were making. Attending Feyre’s studio for the first time had made you a nervous wreck because you weren’t an artist and you would also be in the presence of someone so important. The High Lady had welcomed you with open arms and it was easy to see why she was so loved. She never once talked down about your lacking abilities and she was the sole reason that you continued to come to the studio.
The friendship that the two of you had started was something that you cherished because you hardly had friends to begin with. Your days were spent working at a cafe that had been rebuilt after the attack on Velaris and coming to the studio to unwind after a stressful day.
“You looked defeated,” Feyre chuckled, her eyes drifting between you and your artwork.
“I’m not making any progress at all,” you whined while debating on smearing black paint over it.
“Well, I don’t think that and even if it was true, I love how relaxed you are whenever we leave.” She gave you an encouraging smile that eased your frazzled nerves. “The whole point is for people to have a safe place and enjoy themselves.”
You couldn’t help your smile at the kind words. Feyre truly was something special in your own opinion and was someone to be treasured. Unable to stop yourself, you did splash black over many spots of the abstract painting that you had given up on. You both turned when you heard the door open and the sight of the six year old boy had you grinning.
As much as you loved coming to relax and paint, you loved seeing Nyx the most. He didn’t come to visit often when you first started coming but it was nearly every day now. A friendship had formed between you and your friend’s son and your heart warmed everytime that you were able to see him. As much as he loved his parents, his eyes always searched for you before he was running to jump into your arms.
“I missed you too,” you laughed as you squeezed him tightly which caused him to giggle.
“It’s been soooooo long since I’ve seen you,” he huffed dramatically.
“You just saw her yesterday.”
You looked up at Rhysand who was smiling at the sight of his six year old son. There was a glint in his eyes that you were unsure about what it meant but you shook your head and placed a kiss on the top of the boy’s head.
“We can’t stay long,” Rhysand reminded him, still watching the both of you in amusement. “We need to go home to prepare for dinner tonight.”
“But I want to stay with y/n,” he whined, his grip around your neck tightening as he stuck his tongue out at his father.
“Why don’t you join us tonight?” Your eyes went wide at Feyre’s suggestion and you immediately felt nervous all over again. “It would be nice to have you there with us.”
“Yea!” Nyx agreed, nodding his head vigorously while giving you his puppy dog eyes. “My whole family will be there and you need to meet them!”
“Okay,” you agreed quietly. “I would love to meet them.”
“Yayy!” You laughed with him before placing one last kiss on his cheek. “I love you!”
“I love you too.” The boy grinned at your tender words of affection before leaving you alone with the High Lady. “Are you sure about this?”
“Positive.” Feyre gave you a bright smile while her eyes shone with happiness. “We eat at six.”
You nodded as you gathered your things and rushed home to get ready for the night.
**
Cassian watched with a grin as he listened to Nyx ramble on and on about Feyre’s closest friend from her studio. The boy was absolutely smitten with the female that none of them knew except for Rhysand. It made him curious about you but he kept that to himself since they would all meet you within the next hour.
“You really like her, huh?” he asked his nephew who was now sitting in his lap.
“Yes!” he exclaimed in exasperation. “She’s my girlfriend and we’re going to get married!”
“Is that so?” Elain was grinning in delighted affection for her sister’s son. “She really must be amazing.”
“She is,” Nyx replied matter of factly. “She even said that she loves me!”
The rest of their wait continued in the same manner until there was finally a knock on the door. The boy raced towards it, opening it before any of them could do so themselves. He listened from his spot in the sitting room, smiling to himself at the happiness now filling the home.
When you stepped around the corner, he was taken aback by your beauty as you stood nervously in the archway. You were fidgeting and he wondered if it took a lot of convincing to get you to come. Feyre had only brushed over the basics of you and had nothing but good things to say. Your scan around the room had you tensing when you saw Azriel, eyeing his wings and shadows.
His breath caught in his throat when your eyes met his and the bond snapped instantly. All of the tension left your body in that instant as you held his surprised gaze. There wasn’t anything that he wouldn’t give to know what you were thinking but he felt his shoulders relaxed when you gave him a timid smile. A chuckle came from Rhysand who was sitting across from him which had his eyes scanning the room and realizing that they all knew.
“You’ve finally met your mate, Cass,” his brother started, his tone laced with amusement. “Congratulations.”
“What!?” Nyx exclaimed. “She’s my girlfriend.”
A look of shock passed your face before it softened as you watched the boy. As he looked you over, he already knew that you were as amazing as the boy had said. He couldn’t wait to find out in depth but his thought process was cut short by Nyx storming towards him.
“You can’t have her!” his nephew yelled. “She’s mine!”
“It looks like your uncle is stealing her away from you,” Azriel teased, antagonizing him. “You should do something about it.”
Nyx launched himself onto him and Cassian tackled him gently to the ground to throw them into their play fight. The sound of your laugh reverberated through and the sight of your bright smile has his heart soaring.

Tumblr media
⚠️Trigger Warning⚠️ This one-shot includes the topic of abusive parents. This plot is presented. If this triggers you too easily or you just can´t handle the subject, I urge you NOT to read this work. I am NOT embellishing this topic under any circumstance. Read at your own risk.
ᕚ---ᕘ
The bright sun shone through the large windows of the waiting room at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital as you paced nervously in the waiting room. The thought of the upcoming check-up with Dr. Addison Montgomery made your heart beat faster even though you repeated this year after year. Despite your fears, you knew it was important to get regular checkups, especially after you noticed some unusual symptoms.
When you were finally called, you followed the nurse through the corridors of the gynecological clinic until you finally stood in front of the door to the treatment room. Once inside, Dr. Montgomery greeted you with a warm smile. "Welcome back, y/n. How are you today?"
You forced a smile, concern for your health and life's obstacles overshadowing your usual demeanor. "Thanks, I'm feeling okay so far. I'm here for a checkup because I've noticed a few symptoms that are worrying me."
Addison nodded understandingly and asked you to take a seat. However, as she began to ask the usual questions, she immediately noticed that something was wrong. Your posture was stiff, your answers were short, and you seemed uncomfortable. Quite the opposite from the last times she had seen you. "Can you tell me about the symptoms you've been noticing lately?" She asked softly and you hesitated for a moment before answering. "Well, I have unusual pulling and pressure in my abdomen. I feel very tired in general but I think that's probably just normal."
The redhead frowned slightly as she began to do the examination. When she gestured with her hand to ask you to sit on the exam chair, you flinched and promptly avoided making eye contact with her. "I´m sorry..." you simply interjected and as you continued to sit on the chair, Addison felt an inexplicable restlessness arise within her.
She watched you carefully as she took swabs and checked to see what was going on. As she did so, she recognized subtle signs of fear and insecurity manifesting in your behavior that she had never seen in you before. It was as if there was something in the air, something unspoken, standing between them and demanding their attention. She could practically feel the tension surrounding you, and her instincts told her that there was more going on here than what seemed like a checkup.
After she had also completed an ultrasound on you, Addison sat down on the lounger next to you and quickly decided to ask carefully. "I want to be honest with you. I noticed some signs during the exams that could indicate something might be wrong. I think it might be helpful if you talked about it." She murmured questioningly, placing a soothing hand on your thigh, making you jump at the touch as well.
You looked at her in surprise, your eyes fixed on her with relief. But only hesitantly did you begin to talk about your concerns, which went far beyond the physical symptoms. "Promise you won't tell anyone?" The person you spoke to nodded at you, giving you time to express yourself. She sensed that there was more here than your body had yet revealed, and she wanted to give you the opportunity to open up when you were ready. "I'm your doctor, y/n. Everything you tell me is confidential."
You swallowed hard before finally finding the courage to say the words you had suppressed for so long. "It's my father," you began hesitantly and the gynecologist listened attentively without interrupting. "Since the pandemic and losing his job, he's... he's not exactly... friendly to me."
The reticence and fear had crumbled as you revealed the truth about your home situation to her. You confessed to the constant insults, humiliation and physical abuse you endured from your father and Addison continued to listen intently, offering you an empathetic embrace of comfort and support as you revealed the painful details of your abuse.
When you finished, an oppressive silence fell across the room. Addison felt the weight of your words on her own shoulders. She felt powerless in the face of the suffering you had to endure at such a young age, an inner anger boiling up towards your parents and at the same time a burning desire deep inside her to help you. "Thank you, y/n, for trusting me," she finally spoke in a quiet voice and rubbed your shoulder reassuringly. This time you didn't flinch. "What has been done to you and continues to happen to you is unacceptable and you deserve to be safe and protected. I will do everything in my power to help you get out of this situation."
The shock of what she had heard was deep within her, but she forced herself to remain calm and empathetic. Her first priority was to reassure you that you were safe and that she would help you. She hugged you gently and held you close to her, giving your tears a place to disappear. "Please believe me when I say that you are safe here," she began to speak to you calmly. "No one will hurt you in front of me and if it happens again, you come straight to me, okay?"
You lowered your gaze, tears glistening in your eyes as you let yourself fall into her embrace, feeling the instant warmth and comfort she offered you. For a moment you felt safe, surrounded by the care of this remarkable woman who was willing to stand up for you. “Thank you, Dr. Montgomery,” you whispered, your voice shaking. "It means so much to me to know I'm not alone."
Addison smiled softly and rubbed your back. "From now on it's Addison. I think we're past the formal part. And of course, I'll help you through the difficult times, and I'll be by your side as long as you need me."
At that moment, you knew you had made the right decision to reach out to her. You felt strengthened by her words and beneath all the vulnerability you showed there was also a spark of hope. Hope that you weren't alone, that there were people who cared about you and were ready to help you when you needed it. You felt relieved that you had confided in someone, and Addison promised to support you every step of the way, whether through further testing, therapy, or any other form of police or court help you needed.
As you left the office, you felt a little more confident with her personal phone number and address. Addison Montgomery, who promised to protect you if your father became abusive again and you needed a place to stay. You knew that from now on you were no longer alone but had found an ally in her in the fight against the darkness that surrounded you.
ᕚ---ᕘ
In the weeks that followed, Addison Montgomery and you developed a deep bond that went beyond the boundaries of an ordinary doctor-patient relationship. She had given you her personal address and phone number in case you ever had to run away from home and didn't know where to go. The gesture of care had touched you deeply and shown you that you were not just a patient, but now also had a friendship that you could rely on.
The conversations between the two of you became more and more open and intimate as you worked together to come up with a plan to get yourself out of the dangerous situation you found yourself in. And one Saturday morning, after you had escaped from your father's attacks and came to her, Addison offered to take you in and give you a safe haven, away from your parents' abuse and humiliation.
At first you were unsure whether you should accept the offer. The fear of the unknown, the worry of the consequences, and the fear of becoming too much for Addison held you back. But in the end, your trust, the hope for a better life and the love that she conveyed to you every day prevailed.
At midnight on that same warm spring night, you packed your few belongings and made your way to Addison's house. As you opened the door, a feeling of relief and freedom washed over you. The redhead welcomed you with open arms and a warm, loving smile that showed you that you were finally safe and that she would never let anything happen to you again.
Over the coming weeks and months, you began to settle into your new home, helping Addison with Henry while she was at work. Under her loving care, you slowly blossomed, gained self-confidence, and finally found the courage to leave your past behind you.
Addison supported you every step of the way in your healing, whether it was through therapeutic conversations, medical care, or just her unconditional love and support. Together you went through ups and downs, but you always stood by each other, determined to overcome the darkness together and step into the light of a better future. Your connection was strong, characterized by mutual respect, trust and love and you knew that you would be connected forever.

Yandere! Lemon shark X Reader
Marine biology was your passion, this was one of your new projects that involved a few more people than you would have liked it too. Most of them were either total assholes or lazy, either way though, you still managed to have fun with it. You were placed in a small cottage, where you would reside for as little as 3 weeks to 5 months to study the new kelp forests.
Strange ruins had been surrounding them, species of fish that lived in the abyssal zone (abyssopelagic) had been spotted near.
Tonight you had to research and observe the kelp forests closely underwater, your co-worker that was supposed to be with you, was talking selfies on the shore with her bathing suit on. Your eyes roll as you take mental notes on your surroundings, still recording with your waterproof camera… your completely still as the fish swim around you gracefully, an anglerfish comes out of the kelp getting right up to your face. You gasp, slightly in fear but mostly amazement before It swims away to catch its prey.
You hum in satisfaction, swimming up to the surface to take off the goggles and rub at your eyes, feeling the drowsiness seep in. You notice that the girl- known as Jane, had left. You groan before diving back in only to be met with two yellow eyes, his dark hair with white streaks at the bottom shone in the moonlight. He wasn’t human at all, he didn’t have gills but it seemed as if he could breathe perfectly fine, his hair is down to his knees, a giant silt smooth tail with little shark fins going down it stood out.
He had claws, long claws, his feet were webbed a little bit, and he had resembled a lemon shark… but humanoid. With legs and a long tail fins on his back.
His movements are hesitant as he inspects you, you reciprocate this inspection from a distance, mouth agape with the mask being the barrier from salt water filling your lungs. He comes closer, grabbing your hand, you jump slightly to pull away. He lets go quickly with a widen of his eyes, not because of you , but he heard rustling from above the water… he glared at the land above, turning back to you he points to himself and then puts a finger to your mask, right where your lips would be…. He was telling you to be quiet about him..
Sometimes you would see him out of the water, walking around cautiously, staying near your cabin. The first two weeks you both were wary of each other, but he still followed you around in the water and on shore… after you both got used to each other, he would cling to you. His claws sometimes leaving marks on your back when he hugged you, but only when you were about to leave. Some of the teammates that would slack off disappeared, only in the day though, when you were asleep. Each time he would seem so giddy that same night…
It had took four months to finish your project. When you had to leave he was absolutely devastated, but made no move to stop you, only taking off your mask and giving you kisses all over your face.
You went back to your aquatic lab, consisting of many sea animals, lake animals and more in enormous tanks to resemble their natural ecosystems for a better effect. You came back about a week after you left to upload all of your documentations, files, reports and more… they had been working on a new kelp forest environment for the specimens you had picked carefully.. but why was he here too??
He puts his hand on the glass while staring at you with a lovesick smile, watching as your mouth hangs agape. He takes the wet soil onto his finger and traces something onto the glass- “Novak”
You had asked your lead scientist about why he was here…
“Miss-“
“Marlowe” she corrected yoy sternly
“Marlowe… what is he doing here?”
“He had caused a commotion for the town nearby, so we got alerted and now we are studying him.” She informs you without an ounce of emotion “He has been a bit.. aggressive.. towards other staff members, they won’t go in his tank at all… so I was hoping you would be brave enough to go in?” She asked, you nod.
Your swim gear was tight against you with the water, swimming near the man he immediately hugs you, pulling you into his new cave, a big air pocket present as he drags you onto the rocky shore. There were cameras in here of course, he knew that.
“My Name is Novak” he mutters quickly, his body quickly surrounded yours as he cuddled you tightly. His claws digging into your back once again, not enough to draw blood, but enough to leave a big mark.
——————————————————————————
If you can’t tell I really like marine biology and kelp forests, love to include them in my writing as well.

Pregnant-TJD X Reader
Request: Could you maybe please do one where all of the judgment day are dating and the reader gets pregnant and doesn't know how to tell her parents
A/N-Your mom's name in this is Martha because that's just what I heard in my head and I liked it🤷‍♀️ You're also from the south in this one specifically because I also am and I say so
Word Count- 2,888
Reader's POV
Two little pink lines looked back at me from where the pregnancy test sat on the bathroom counter. Next to it, two other positive pregnancy tests just in case.
As excited as I was for the new chapter in my and my partners' lives, I was also terrified.
I kept my head down as I slowly creaked open the bathroom door. All four of my partners stood around anxiously as we waited for the test results.
They had all respected my privacy and given me the space to be the first one to see the result and not have them all crowd around me as it developed.
Their heads all shot up towards me as they all now crowded around me in anticipation. I had been throwing up almost every morning for the past week and a half which originally we thought was just a stomach bug or something until I realized that my period was really late.
"Well?" Dominik asked me, wringing his hands together nervously.
I looked up at them with tears brimming my eyes, my gaze meeting Dominik's first.
"We're pregnant," I whispered, a smile breaking out on my face as I clutched one of the tests to my chest.
"Are you serious?" Finn asked me, unbelievingly.
I nodded happily, my face stretched taught with how big my smile was, as happy tears began to slip down my face.
"We're pregnant!" I shouted gleefully, jumping up and down in excitement. My partners all shouted in glee, jumping around and screaming in happiness with me. They crowded around me in a circle, encompassing me with their hugs of excitement.
Rhea eagerly, but gently, grabbed my face in her hands. Her bright blue eyes shone as they locked onto mine. "We're gonna be moms!" She whisper-shouted to me excitedly.
I laughed wetly, lunging up to kiss her. And then I kissed her a few more times before pulling away.
"We're gonna be dads!" Damian shouted, throwing his arms out to encompass Finn and Dominick in a hug as Rhea and I looked on, me still enveloped in her arms.
Dominik removed himself and got down on his knees in front of me, resting both of his palms flat on my lower stomach. "With all of us being wrestlers, this baby's definitely gonna be one too." He spoke aloud.
He gave me stomach a soft kiss, resting his forehead against my stomach, "A fourth-generation talent," he whispered wistfully.
"Someone's gotta call Triple H," Finn spoke up, rubbing the back of Dominik's neck with two fingers as he stood back up.
It was then that the realization of this all hit me head-on.
"Oh my god," I spoke with dread, slowly sinking down to sit on the edge of the bed. "How am I supposed to tell my parents?" I looked around at my partners in horror.
My parents had been fine when I came out as pansexual as a teen. They supported me through and through and even bought me my first pride flag.
However, they had no idea that I was dating anyone at all, much less four people at once who are all also dating each other.
My partners all got on their knees in front of me in a semi-circle on the floor. I still held one of the pregnancy tests between my knees and stared at it, lost in thought as I hung my head.
"Hey, Sweetheart, all four of us will be there to support you the whole time. We know your parents mean a lot to you so we'll do whatever you need us to." Finn consoled me from where he kneeled in front of me with a hand resting on my knee.
Everything looked blurry through my tears but I looked up at him, terrified, "Promise?" I whispered. I held out my pinky finger for him to interlock his own with.
"Promise. For better or worse." He intertwined our pinkies, us both leaning forward to seal the promise with a kiss.
"And we don't have to tell them right away if you're not ready, Mi Amor. The only people that need to know are our bosses so they can write you out of the storylines for a little bit." Damian reasoned for me.
I took a deep, albeit slightly shaky, breath in as I nodded in agreement. I knew my partners wouldn't force me to tell them unless I was ready and they'd have my back every step of the way. *Time Skip*
It took over a month and a half for me to be ready enough to tell my parents. Triple H and Adam Pierce had fabricated an injury for me so I was out for the rest of the year, the fans along with everyone else, were none the wiser.
But now, I sat in the backseat of Rhea's truck in my parents' driveway. The nerves had settled in and my knee bounced as I played with my fingers, staring off into the distance as I imagined the worst. "Hey, look at me," Dominik spoke softly from next to me. When I didn't respond, he placed two fingers underneath my chin, moving my head and forcing me to look at him. "We'll be right there, okay? no matter what happens. You're not getting rid of us anytime soon, chica." He placed a small kiss on my forehead, sealing his promise and calming my nerves.
I took a deep breath in, nodding at my partners. "Okay. Let's go."
I had asked my parents to have dinner under the guise of just introducing them to Judgment Day as my friends. They knew that Rhea and I were together, as did the rest of the world, but we had all worried about the hate we'd receive (me especially being the more feminine of us two women) from announcing all five of us were dating. Everyone backstage knew and supported us but it wasn't public or common knowledge.
My parents had met Rhea once before briefly at some WWE event we had, back before we were dating. They actually really liked her and were excited to see her again, this time as my girlfriend.
Dominik slid out of the car before me, holding out his hand for me to grab onto as he helped me out of the car, shutting the door behind me. I gave his hand a gentle squeeze before letting go and walking around to the other side to meet up with Rhea.
She held out her hand for me to grab and I held on tightly as I led the way to the front door. Since my parents knew we were coming, they had left the door unlocked for us so we were able to just walk right in.
The heavenly smells of my dad's familiar home-cooked pulled pork wafted straight toward us, making my stomach growl in anticipation. I could also smell my mom's mashed potatoes which were absolutely to die for.
"Dad?" I shouted into the house, making sure that the door was closed and locked behind us.
"Kitchen!" Was all I heard in response.
I motioned for everyone to leave their shoes in the basket by the door, slipping my own off in the process. Forgetting why we were even there in the first place at the smell of the food, I happily skipped into the kitchen as my partners shuffled after me.
Being away from my parents for so long had already made me miss their food, but with the pregnancy, it was all I was craving which was why I had requested dinner. And, being the only child, and therefore the favorite, they were only too happy to comply.
Walking into the kitchen, my mom was the first of the two to see me. She squealed in excitement and ran over, just about squeezing the life out of me with her hug. "Hi, mama!" I gushed into her shoulder, squeezing her back just as hard.
"Hi, my baby." She sniffled. She pulled away from me, holding my face at arm's length as she took me in. I still had a little bit of a fading bruise on my jaw from a bad hit but Rhea'd managed to cover it with makeup for me.
I looked to the side when I caught a flash of movement out of the corner of my eye, only to see my dad standing there. I let out a small squeal just like my mother and bounded over into his awaiting arms.
It was only when someone cleared their throat that I remembered there were others in the room with us. Pulling away from my father, I discretely as possible wiped away a stray tear. Damn hormones.
"Mom, Dad, this is the Judgment Day. This is Finn, Damian, Dominik, and y'all remember Rhea, of course." I pointed each of them out individually, each of them being met with handshakes from my father and hugs from my mother. Except Rhea, who was hugged by both.
"It's a pleasure to meet you all. Dinner's almost ready if y'all want to go ahead into the dining room and find your seats." Mom politely told my partners.
I went ahead and nodded, grabbing Rhea's hand as I led the four of them to the dining table. Luckily, they had already put the table extension in so there was plenty of room.
I took a seat in the middle of the table, allowing my partners to sit wherever they chose except for the two head chairs which were for my parents.
Rhea took the seat to my left as Finn took the seat to my right. Damian sat across from Finn so as not to leave a weird gap between him and my mother and Dom sat across from Rhea.
"How're you feeling, mariposa?" Damian asked me, nudging my foot gently underneath the table.
"Nervous," I replied, the nerves having since come back. "But, we're already here so there's no turning back now."
Finn nodded next to me in agreement, placing a reassuring hand on my thigh. "And if worse comes to worst, we can always leave."
My heart rate finally began to slow down at that tidbit of information. I had forgotten I was able to do that now that I'm an adult. I smiled at my partners just as my parents came in with the food.
*Time Skip*
After dinner, we all sat around in the living room, continuing our previous conversations from the table. Once there was a slight lull in the conversation, I shared a look with all my partners before speaking up.
"So, Mom, Dad, there's actually another reason I wanted to have dinner with everyone here tonight. Well, two reasons actually."
Wanting to comfort me as much as she could, Rhea got up and stood behind me, resting her hands on my shoulders and beginning to massage them.
My mother's hand shot to her mouth in horror, "Does it have something to do with you being out injured? Is it worse than they thought? How bad is it?" She questioned me, her eyes darting back and forth between mine and the other members of Judgment Day.
"No. No, no, no, Mom. It's nothing like that. I'm fine. Better than fine even." I said, huffing a small laugh.
She made a motion for me to continue talking as my Dad sat on the armrest next to her, also looking at me in anticipation.
"So, y'all know how I'm dating Rhea?" I waited for their nods of acknowledgment before continuing. "Well, I'm also dating each of these guys. And they're all dating each other. Rhea included. All five of us are all dating each other. It's called polyamory, so the Judgment Day isn't just a faction, it's a partnership, relationship, type thing."
Sitting in the silence after my little ramble, I watched my parents' faces for any sign as to what they were thinking. I saw my dad's eyes switch between looking at me and each of my boys before back at me.
"Oookay. Well, as long as you're happy and healthy, sweetie." He smiled at me, still looking a little bit unsure of everything.
My mom nodded in agreement, "It might take a little bit to get used to that but you are an adult, honey. You can do whatever and love whoever you want. Consenually of course." She laughed and I let out a small surprised laugh with her, happy and grateful for both of their support.
"What's the other reason?" My dad asked me.
My leg started bouncing with nerves again as I stared at the carpet. "Well, it does actually have to do with my injury. Um..." I trailed off as my parents looked at me in concern, waiting for me to finish.
"I'm actually, um, not injured at all. I, uh...I'm pregnant." I whispered the last part, only then letting myself look up at their faces.
They both had a look of shock mixed with horror on their faces.
"What?" My mom asked, her voice clipped.
"I'm pregnant," I repeated, slightly louder this time. "Almost three months along now. I have ultrasound pictures." I fished the pictures out of my back pocket and handed them over, my dad wordlessly taking them from me for them both to look at.
"Oh my God." My mom spoke. I could hear the emotion in her voice even as she covered her mouth with a shaky hand. "Our first grandbaby. Wait, do you even know who the father is?" My mom asked me accusingly.
"No. But at least we know who it's not," I laughed nervously as I looked up at Rhea.
She gave me a nervous smile of her own in response, toying with the top strands of my hair as she continued to massage my shoulders from where she stood behind me. My mom glared at me, obviously not liking that answer. I cleared my throat, awkwardly looking down to the floor as I answered her seriously this time.
"Um, no we don't, but we all talked about it and I'm going to do a paternity test once I'm a little further along so we'll have all the baby's family's medical history and a name to put on the birth certificate. Rhea's agreed to help me with all that so we'll be the only two that know." I reached up and took one of Rhea's hands from my shoulder, giving it a squeeze for comfort.
"And we worked it out with our bosses that at least one of us will always be with her, guaranteed, for the last couple months of the pregnancy and first couple months of the baby being here. She'll always have help and won't be alone." Rhea informed my parents smoothly. "That baby will have five parents who love them more than anything in the world. They and your daughter are in good hands. I swear it."
My dad covered his eyes with his hands, still holding the pictures, and sobbed when he heard this. I rushed over, concerned as I had never even seen him cry before. "Daddy?" I asked timidly, resting a hand on his shoulder as I bent down slightly.
He removed his hands from his face, wiping some tears away before just hugging me. "I can't believe this, my baby girl." My heart dropped when I heard that.
"We're getting a grandbaby and we have four new babies. Martha! We're finally getting our big family!" My dad cheered as he cried into my hair.
Hearing just how excited he was made me cry too. He was already calling my partners his kids and I couldn't have been happier. All my nerves earlier had been for nothing.
My mom stood up and joined our little hug as I cried into their arms in relief.
Abruptly, my mom pulled out of the hug and faced my partners. "I need to get your stockings made! And, I'll need group pictures of y'all and copies of the ultrasound for the wall with the rest of Y/n's pictures, and we still have to plan the baby shower. Are we going to do a gender reveal? What about maternity photos? Goodness, gracious Y/n! How am I supposed to get everything for all of you and the baby together with this timeline?" She rambled, only slightly angry.
I laughed in response as Finn spoke up from the couch. "Don't worry, Mrs. Y/L/N, I can help with all that. I'm an excellent planner."
"Yeah that's true he plans everything." The four of us all muttered in agreement.
Damian muttered something in Spanish to Dominik making him laugh and my dad turned to them. They both straightened up in fear at his attention but relaxed a bit once he spoke. "Are y'all going to teach the baby Spanish as they grow up?"
They shared a look before Dominik responded. "We haven't all discussed it yet but probably. Just because it's a big part of the both of us that we want to continue sharing. We've been teaching the girls for a little bit already so I think we can do it." He gave my dad one of his cute little smiles, his slight accent having been thicker on some words than others.
"Oh my god!" I gasped, throwing my hands to my mouth in horror at the sudden realization. "What kind of accent is our baby going to have?" With my southern accent, Damian's New York, Rhea's Australian, Finn's Irish, and Dom's Spanish accents this baby would be in for a world of trouble.
All four of my partners along with my parents busted out laughing. "Oh, that gonna be hilarious." Damian boomed.
Yes, it would be. And I couldn't wait.

Prompt 8 - Bodyswap AU
@wolfstarmicrofic April 8, word count 1209
CW- Cronic Illness, Child Abuse (Not described, but you know what's happened).
Sirius and Remus regularly bickered. It drove their other friends mad. Remus thought Sirius was a spoilt rich boy brat, and Sirius thought Remus put on how sick he felt because he loved the attention that came with it.
The bickering got so bad one day that Remus shoved Sirius, and Sirius shoved him back. James had to come between them and break up the fight. Remus’s eye was swelling shut, and Sirius’s lip had burst open.
“I wish you two could walk in each other’s shoes for a day. Maybe then you wouldn’t bicker so much.” They scowled at each other until it was time to go home.
Remus awoke the following morning feeling better than he’d ever felt before. He stretched, and nothing hurt. Slowly, his eyes fluttered open onto an elegantly decorated room.
“You are late for breakfast. If you are not presentable at the table in five minutes, there will be consequences!” A woman who wasn’t his mother screeched through the door.
He got up and opened the ornately carved wardrobe. The clothes inside were not his and most definitely wouldn’t fit his tall frame. He rubbed his eyes, grabbed a perfectly ironed shirt and held it up to his body. He used the mirror on the back of the door to see how it looked. He dropped it on the floor. The reflection staring back at him was not his own.
Sirius had never slept worse in his life. He felt like he had the flu. His joints ached no matter what position he slept in. The sun shone through too-thin curtains, stopping him from falling back to sleep. A gentle knock came at the door as it slowly opened.
“Good morning, darling,” A sweet honey-haired woman cooed at him. “I’ve got you tablets and some toast. When you’re ready, I’ve got porridge keeping warm for you. Don’t rush, though, my love.” She opened the curtains and planted a kiss in his hair before she walked back out, closing the door behind her.
Sirius panicked. Pills? What pills could he possibly need? He jumped out of the unfamiliar bed and rushed into the little bathroom across the hall. He stared at the boy in the mirror above the sink, higher up than he was used to. His hands came to his face, and so did the reflections. He pinched himself hard. It hurt a lot. So he wasn’t dreaming.
“Sweetheart, there’s a phone call for you.” The woman’s sweet voice called through the door.
“C-c-coming,” He stuttered as he stumbled to the door. He took the portable house phone from her and put it to his ear. “Hello?” He said into the receiver.
“Sirius!”
“Remus!”
“What the hell is going on?” They said together.
“Are you in my house?” Remus asked.
“I think so. Do you have blue striped bedding and a yellow lamp?”
“Yes! And do you have a ridiculous wardrobe and an insanely gigantic bed?”
“Does it have green bedding?”
“Yep.”
“Oh my god, Remus! What the actual.” Sirius ran his hand through his hair. His fingers came away too quickly. Remus’s hair was a lot shorter than Sirius’s.
“Your mum seems like a lot,” Remus tried to make light of it like he always did. “Apparently, I was late for breakfast. I didn’t even know that was a thing. Now, I’m meant to be self-studying. Then there’s a Latin tutor. Sirius, I don’t speak Latin!”
“Yeah, she doesn’t abide laziness. Your mum seems lovely, though. She brought me toast and some pills. What are they for?” Sirius followed Remus’s example.
“Oh, you need to take them. Believe me. You’ll regret it if you don’t.” Remus warned.
“Sirius, where have you gone?!” Sirius heard his mother’s voice over the phone and flinched.
“Remus, you need to hang up now and go do whatever it is you were meant to be doing.” He couldn’t help the touch of panic in his voice.
“What are you on about? I’m only on the phone.” Remus chuckled back at him. Sirius heard his mother’s heels click against the hardwood flooring.
“Remus,” He whispered in a shaky voice. The line went dead.
Sirius knew what was about to happen to Remus, and he wished he could take his place. He snatched up the pills off the bedside table and swallowed the lot. This he could do for Remus, at least.
Mrs Lupin beamed at him when he walked into the kitchen.
“Oh, love. You look a bit pale. Why don’t you go snuggle up on the sofa, and I’ll get you some tea? She fussed over him all day, making sure he was comfortable. He had full control over what they watched on the TV, and she never uttered the word homework. He was glad he didn’t have to do too much, as his body felt so delicate. Plus, with the bad night’s sleep, he was exhausted. “How do you feel about pizza for dinner?” She asked when it began to get late.
“Yeah, Mrs—Er, yeah, mum. That sounds perfect.” He smiled at her.
He asked to go up to his room after they’d finished eating.
“Of course, you can silly. I don’t know why you’re even asking. Oh, don’t forget to take your evening pills before you go up,” Sirius did as he was told. The stairs were hard to get up. He was out of breath before he’d gotten halfway up.
He spent the next hour doing all of Remus’s homework for him. By the end, he just got into bed and passed out.
When he woke again, it was morning. His alarm was blaring next to his head, and his emerald sheets were wrapped around him in a tight ball. He could feel the bruises. She’d proper walloped him this time. He wondered if Remus had talked back at her.
He got ready for breakfast, but before he could leave his room. Regulus came in. And for the first time in years. He hugged Sirius and hurried back out when Walburga’s shoes clacked across the hallway floor. Monday couldn’t come quickly enough.
Remus, for once, got up early and arrived at school before any of his friends. He watched the town car pull up and deposit Sirius and Regulus onto the curb.
Regulus hugged Sirius and disappeared off into the building. Sirius and Remus stared at each other. Sirius moved first and gently wrapped his arms around Remus, knowing now how much that body ached and why he needed the extra care the school gave him. Remus gripped him as tight as he could. He’d had no idea how bad Sirius had it. His parents made their lives look so perfect.
Sirius sucked in a breath when Remus squeezed against one of the bruises.
“Oh, shit, Sirius. I’m so sorry.” Remus panicked, loosening his hug.
“No, no. It’s fine, don’t worry about it.” Sirius knew how much effort Remus was putting into that hug.
“Aww, isn’t this sweet?” James smirked as he walked up to them. “Nice to see you hugging rather than fighting.” Sirius and Remus looked at each other, smiling happily at each other. Finally, they realised there was so much more to each other than they ever could have guessed.

📼 ꒱ ⋆ We Can't Be Friends 𓈒 ݁♩
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing :: hockey-player!sunghoon x student!reader
genre :: a little bit angst
sinopse :: where you have a crush on Sunghoon, but unfortunately he doesn't reciprocate your feelings
wc :: 1,3 k
-note :: hey guys, it's been a while since I was inactive. I ended up forgetting about this account and recently decided to write on it again, anyway, I deleted my two old works about Ni-ki and now I'm starting from scratch. Again, I'm sorry if the English is bad, you know, I'm not American.
Tumblr media
Usually people used to call you heartless. Unlike all the other girls in your class, you hadn't even dated yet, and at that stage of your life, you preferred to pay more attention to your studies than to fall in love with some boy your age.
And then you entered your high school phase.
New phase, new school, and consequently new boys. You could say, maybe you had never studied with such handsome guys before, and oh… They definitely seemed to have come straight from paradise.
But among so many faces, there he was, the hockey team player.
Park Sunghoon studied in the same class as you, of course, your conversations never went beyond "hi" or "did you understand this question?" but still, his presence in the same space as you was able to attract your attention.
And consequently, accelerate your heart like never before.
Sometimes you would attend his hockey games, even without understanding any stupid rule there was, or you would be overly polite, always greeting him just to hear his sweet voice. You also laughed at his jokes, even if they were so bad.
So, it didn't take more than a year for you to end up being included in his circle of friends. You would hang out together sometimes, go out in groups for some activities after class, and then even have lunch together on some days.
But of course, there was still an implicit barrier between the two of you, which visibly ruined any chance of "being more than friends".
You wouldn't push it, just pretend everything was fine and secretly continue to fall in love with Sunghoon.
Even though deep down, you knew there would never be a slightest chance with him.
"Well, what do you think of Lee Y/N? I heard she likes you..." Your friend announced proudly, almost as if he were forcing Sunghoon to give an answer to that question. Loud whispers could be heard among the group of friends, and you shifted nervously in place.
"I'm not interested. I mean, she's not my type," he replied at the moment, causing the rest of the friends to respond in a loud chorus of understanding.
That day, you just faked a bitter smile and tried to break the tense atmosphere that had formed, saying words like "we're just friends, this doesn't even make sense" and then fell silent for the rest of the game.
The rest of the week hadn't been pleasant either, apparently all your classmates knew what had happened in that truth or dare game, they cast sympathetic glances, and the closest ones even tried to comfort you by saying that Sunghoon wasn't even that handsome.
But you knew it wasn't true.
The sun shone warmly through the open classroom windows, announcing the arrival of spring. You were alone in the classroom because that day it was your turn to clean the whole environment.
To be honest, there was nothing to complain about. You used to enjoy being alone at times, it was a good time for reflection, even if it was when you were cleaning your classroom.
Light knocks on the door startled you, making you jump before turning towards the source of the sound. There he was, Park Sunghoon, in his school uniform and his backpack slung over one of his shoulders.
"Are you alone here?" He offered a friendly smile, leaving his backpack in a corner of the room.
"My cleaning day..." You replied, wringing out a wet cloth that would later be snatched from your hands by him.
"Let me help," he shrugged, gently taking the towel from your hands to then scrub the classroom desks.
Heavens, your class was definitely unpleasant and disgusting.
Silence fell, there was no need to express verbally, he would know that you were grateful for his help.
"Hm, it's not that I don't like you..." He suddenly started, awkwardly scrubbing a dirty desk while trying to watch you.
You felt strange, as if a glacial cold was sending shivers down your body. Then you nodded vaguely, agreeing with his words.
"Oh, no need to explain..." A bitter smile spread across your face, but you kept pretending everything was fine in front of him.
"I mean, the problem isn't you," he emphasized.
The problem isn't you. Well, that sounded good to your ears, right?
Maybe he just wasn't really excited about getting into relationships. Maybe he just had the same thoughts as your past self before meeting him in the first year, he just wanted to focus on the hockey team and future college spots...
"I'm just not into relationships right now. I think that goes for all the girls..." Sunghoon rambled on for almost ten minutes, but still, you didn't fully pay attention to his words, just nodding along as your brain was hit with various thoughts.
Maybe I have a chance.
He just doesn't want anyone right now.
He just wants to focus on the team.
That doesn't mean I'm not his ideal type.
Later that afternoon, on the same day, you went out after school and went to an ice cream shop. You had great moments, and subconsciously Park planted in your head that maybe you would have a chance.
But all of that was wrong.
The school year began again, now being their last one before finally going to college and starting a new stage in their lives. You were confident in that year, in fact, your grades were still high, and your feelings for Sunghoon still remained.
In a way, you didn't mind anymore, he had already said he wasn't interested in anyone, and consequently that brought false hope for you.
But there was another name alongside that departure. Kim Sooha.
Sooha was beautiful, so incredible that you wondered for days how she could be real. She definitely had the Korean standard, she was so intelligent, but most of all, she was so nice that everyone fell in love with her personality.
And that included Park Sunghoon...
You weren't sure, but it all started during the summer vacation, before classes started. Sooha had a history of figure skating, and she used to give lessons at the ice rink managed by her family. What no one knew was that Sunghoon curiously frequented that same rink, which contributed to both of them starting a brief friendship.
Neither of them knew, but that same year, they curiously ended up in the same class, which further contributed to this bond of friendship growing.
And with that, confused feelings arose in Sunghoon's heart.
For a long time you believed that friends don't lie, but you should have known that at some point Sunghoon would fall in love, even if it wasn't with you.
For months you felt guilty, of course, besides Sooha becoming friends with Sunghoon, she also became friends with you, claiming that the boy often talked about his "good friend" to her.
And that was exactly the problem: because she was your friend, because of this closer proximity with Kim, you simply felt awful for trying to hate her.
Sooha definitely seemed like an angel on earth, she was kind to everyone and would never be able to hurt anyone. You knew that if you told her, the girl wouldn't even be able to get close to Sunghoon and have any kind of romantic relationship with him.
So you let her go.
Over time, the girl was already sighing when the subject was Sunghoon. You knew that the feeling became mutual, and the hockey player intended to take the girl as his date to the winter dance. It didn't take long for rumors to spread throughout the school in December: Sunghoon had asked her to the dance with a grand gesture involving the rest of the team, she had accepted, and consequently declared her love for him.
They became a couple, and all you could do was watch from afar and hope for the couple's happiness...

-Wedding bells-
Part 2 Part 3
Tumblr media
Pairing: Gary x Melissa Schemmenti x Reader
Gender:love, hurt
Warnings:Mention of cheating , insults
Summary:I don't wanna spoil it because I think it's good the surprise reading this fic like this.
Wedding bells, a church full of guests, a custom-made suit that fit you luxuriously, a white rose in your handkerchief pocket, the custom made and engraved rings on your hand, sweaty hands and watery eyes as you looked at the wedding officiant. Your head was racing a thousand miles an hour, your heart was almost jumping out of your chest, and then, everything stopped when the doors opened and you saw the love of your life, Melissa Schemmenti in the most beautiful white dress in the world. Her red hair was in a ponytail with a few loose hairs that only highlighted her features, the soft and delicate veil on her crown delicately embraced her beautiful face, simple makeup highlighted her perfect green eyes that shone thanks to the natural light that came through the windows. Melissa was a perfect vision, a dream you didn't want to wake up from. When the music started and the redhead began walking down the aisle towards you, the world stopped and the other people ceased to exist, it was just you and her in this perfect moment.
-Five Years Earlier-
Your father had recently passed away, the house felt very big and empty without him, Sicily felt empty without him, you felt useless without him.
Your job exchange card and visa was approved and you could go to America to continue working as a teacher, hoping the change of scenery will help you get on with your life without your father. Gary, your father's best friend and fellow police officer promised to take care of you once your father was gone, and that's why he was loading your bags into the van that would take you two to the airport while you said goodbye to your home.
When you arrived to America, you immediately got an apartment and went to see the school where you had been assigned, it was a humble school but full of life, the teachers immediately received you with great affection grateful for the extra help, especially Melissa who would finally stop teaching two grades together thanks to the fact that you had arrived.
You thought it would be hard to adapt, but the redhead helped you a lot with the study plans and the students. Since you were Italian like her family, Mel felt an immediate connection with you, helping you in any way possible and taking care of you as if she had known you for years. And you, so in need of affection that you were in such a difficult time of your life, became attached to her immediately. From day one, the redhead took over your heart and you did nothing to stop it.
The more time you spent with Melissa, the more your feelings for her grew, long nights working on lesson plans together, long calls to clarify doubts, eating out together, inside jokes, tender nicknames, stolen glances, accidental touches, everything that happened with the redhead only made you fall more in love with her.
Your only "friend" out of school, Gary, was even tired of hearing you talk about Melissa, how much you loved her and how little you did to carry out your wishes.
Gary had known you since you were a child and saw that of the times you liked someone, you rarely did anything to be with that person, you were young, shy and stupid, to dare more and bet more on love.
After two years of living in that new country, Gary came to visit you very happy saying that he had gotten a new job as a vending machine stocker, it wasn't much like his police job, but it was a legal work and he was happy for it.
One day, you heard Melissa say that determined women were hot and that helped you gather the courage to finally tell her how you felt. After thinking a lot about how to say it, you gathered the strength to talk to the redhead, but your face of decisiveness turned into one of confusion, when, upon entering the teacher's room, you saw Gary talking and flirting with Melissa while he refilled the room's vending machine.
You silently approached Gary and he just smiled and then turned his attention back to the redhead. Almost immediately he got her to go on a date, ruining your plans to confess your love to her.
Gary knew you liked Melissa, he knew where you worked and Mel was the only redhead to mistake her for someone else, he knew you loved her and still decided to flirt with her and ask her out. When you confronted him about that, he just said that you were too young for her and that you didn't even know if she liked women, so he saw the opportunity and took it.
You tried to do something to sabotage that relationship, but thanks to everything you told him, he knew everything Melissa liked and used it to make her fall in love with him more. You thought the relationship wouldn't last long, but you were wrong, they dated for 3 years and she accepted him when he proposed. That's how you got here.
-Present-day -
When the music started and the redhead began walking down the aisle towards you, the world stopped and the other people ceased to exist, it was just you and her in this perfect moment. Melissa delicately climbed the steps and stood in front of the officiant, looking at you with a big smile, only that smile was not directed at you, but at Gary who was in front of her.
You were Gary's maid of honor, you assumed that was his strategy to keep you in check and not ruin his big day, but with how happy Melissa looked with him you didn't dare hurt her in any way.
Your eyes filled with tears as you looked at Melissa and then the rings on your hand, oh how you wished those rings would tie you to her instead of tying her with him.
Was this your fault? For being slow and not speaking sooner? For having doubted so much? For having spoken so highly of her to him? For not having courage? Could it have been different somehow? If you had confessed your feelings anyway, would you have been the one standing at that altar with her instead of just being a spectator? Could you be the one holding her hand as you promised to dedicate your life and being to her? It could have been you somehow?... Actually, it didn't matter, it was late, too late, you understood that nothing else mattered anymore when you heard the redhead say "yes, I do" to him. Gary turned to ask for the rings and you gave them to him with trembling hands and watery eyes, you must have looked pathetic. You decided to raise your head so as not to look so miserable, but it was a serious mistake, the eyes of your friend and the love of your life were on you, this time she was looking at you, Melissa was looking at you with concern but you only decided to force a smile to calm her down. In the red-haired woman's head a thousand questions went through her mind, why did you cry more than her husband? Why were you more excited than him? Weren't the hours she spent preparing enough to make him cry with happiness at the sight of her? Why, even though you smiled, didn't happiness reach your eyes? Were you sad that she was taking away the only person close to your family that you had left? It hurt her to think that you might be angry with her or sad because of her. Why was she more focused and worried about you than the man in front of her? But before she could ask any more self questions, she heard Gary say "I do" and it was her turn to snap back to reality to put the ring on him.
The officiant pronounced them husband and wife and the kiss sealed their marriage and finished breaking your heart.
Mel wanted to ask you what was wrong, but before she could, Gary was walking down the aisle pulling her hand to get in the limo and drive to the party. The redhead walked forward but her gaze was fixed on you and as you automatically applauded the happy couple but did not move from the place you were.
When you arrived at the ballroom, the tables were assigned, you were close to her but not close enough to be able to talk. When everyone arrived, it was time for the toast and they made you speak after Barbara, who had been the redhead's maid of honor, since you were his maid of honor.
Smiling falsely, you took your glass of champagne, which had already had to be refilled twice because you had drunk it before going up, you took the microphone and forced yourself to take your eyes off your feet to fix it on the happy couple.
So many things you wanted to say, and at the same time nothing was appropriate for the moment, your mouth opened and closed as you waited for something else to come to your mind. You felt Mel's gaze burn your skin, you couldn't dare to stare at her and you couldn't look at him either, you felt rejection for him, he had used everything you told him to keep her, to steal her from you. Well, stealing her was a strong word since Melissa didn't belong to you, and she would never do it because of your cowardice.
Someone cleared their throat and made you realize that maybe you hadn't said anything for a longer time than you thought
-"My heart fills with emotion when I see you two, the only person who accompanied me from my home along with the first person who made me feel at home when I arrived here. Melissa you became my best friend and my safe place when I arrived and I will never forget that, you have a special place in my heart and you always will have it whether you get married or leave to another planet. I could say so many things, but nothing could express what I truly feel right now. So I'll just say this, I wish you the greatest happiness in the world, may your lives be filled with love. And Gary? Take care of her, because if I found out you hurt her, I'll kill you"-You made the last comment in a funny tone and everyone laughed, but deep down in your heart you knew it was a promise you were going to keep if the time came. Everyone said their words and the final toast was made so that everyone could start enjoying the meal.
You barely touched your plate, much more focused on drinking what you could than eating something, you felt that if you tried to put anything else down your throat that wasn't liquid, you would vomit everything.
After lunch, the waltz began, Melissa was going to give the bouquet to Barbara, but since you knew that they would join the dance later, you told her to give it to you since you didn't want to dance tonight.
Mel and Gary started dancing in the middle of the floor, your eyes were glued to the redhead.
Why did she have to look so angelic and perfect, why did she have to look so happy with him? Why did they have to seem like the perfect couple with the perfect wedding when you were watching them from a corner with your life shattered, the furthest from perfect, closest to being a complete disaster. She looked so happy and you felt so broken. So far away from you and yet so close, she was there, If you stretched out your hands, maybe your fingertips could brush against her perfect, soft skin, only a few feet away, but she felt miles away from you. You had lost her, she had moved away from you to someone else's arms, and your heart had gone running behind her.
Your heart began to contract inside you, the more you looked at them, the worse you felt, the room began to spin and the music felt overwhelming, your suit almost choked you. Your breathing was ragged as if you were running out of oxygen, you wanted to rip off your suit, run away, tear your skin apart. Your eyes were burning and your face ached from faking a smile for so long. You would give everything for the world to stop so you could breathe for a second, what you would give to disappear and never be found...The things you would give, the things you'd do to be by her side dancing, to be the one who delicately holds her hand, to be the one who promised in vows to take care of her all her life, what you wouldn't give for her...You'd give everything for her, you'd give everything, and it still wouldn't be enough to change the painful present.
Carefully and without drawing too much attention to yourself, you walked through the crowd leaving the bouquet of flowers on the bride and groom's table and going outside to breathe. You just wanted to breathe and stop crying, at what point did you start crying? Out of the corner of your eye you saw some chairs in the furthest and most hidden part of the garden, without thinking twice, you went there and let your body collapse on the couch, with trembling hands you detached the jacket of your suit and a couple of buttons from your shirt, you needed air, space, you needed something that would give you peace of mind or at least help calm you down a little. Your trembling hands rested on your beating heart as tears streamed down your cheeks, you felt a bitter taste in your mouth as if you had taken bleach, and your jaw ached from clenching your teeth. You knew you had to control yourself, you were about to have a big panic attack and today wasn't the day for that to happen, it was Melissa's special day, it had to be perfect and you having an identity crisis would only ruin it. You were a maid of honor, you had to be there for them, for her, you had to smile for her, help her arrange her hair, hold her bouquet, be there when she needed you most... And instead you were hiding in the garden like a coward, giving more importance to your broken heart than to the woman you loved.
Your hands started hurting, why did they hurt? You lowered your gaze to your hands and realized that you were squeezing your hands so much, that your acrylic nails were digging into your palms and they were even bleeding a little from the pressure and the small cuts you had, you immediately opened your hands and tried to relax a little, you needed to get back inside before anyone noticed that you were gone. Who did you want to fool? No one would notice, Mel was focused on her husband, Gary would be happy if he noticed you disappeared, and the others were focused on the happy couple as it should be. It would be better if you stay there? Pretending that the present didn't exist and that it was all a bad dream? What if you left? No one would notice and no one would care.
You hid your face in your hands trying to think clearly, but you were frightened by feeling a hand on your shoulder, when you looked up, you saw a worried Barbara, who sat next to you
-"What's up, sweetheart? Mel asked me to look for you because she didn't see you well, I told her that it must be nothing, but now I see that she was right... Why are you crying so much?" - Concern could be heard in the older woman's voice, but her comment only made you let out a dry laugh as you listened to it. Melissa, on her big day, when she didn't have to worry about anything but enjoy herself, was worrying about you and why you weren't there.
-"I'm fine, I'll be back inside in a few minutes, I just needed to breathe a little... You need to come back, you're her maid of honor and they're about to throw the bouquet, you don't want to miss that..."-You said trying to get her to leave you alone, but it didn't work
-" First, I've been married for many years now, I don't need to catch the bouquet. Second, I'm her maid of honor and I have to do what she asks, and she asked me to be with you... So you'd better tell me how I can help you, because I won't leave here until you're better"-Barbara spoke and you smiled just looking at your hands sadly
-"I love her"-You confessed, you didn't know if it was because of the amount of alcohol you had drunk without eating anything else, but you needed to let go of what you felt to someone and Barbara was there
-"And she loves you, that's not going to change because she's married, you'll still be important in her life, you're her friend, she's not going to forget you" - The brunette tried to comfort you and you shook your head
-"You don't understand... I love her, I've loved her for years in a way I shouldn't, I love her so much it hurts, I love every part of her, every little thing that makes her Melissa Schemmenti, I love her strong character and how she is affectionate with the people she cares about. I love how she takes care of who she loves, how passionate she is, I love to see how she's always eating something all the time, I love the way she laughs when you two tell each other secrets. I love how she always smells like cinnamon, I love how she always needs to be in physical contact when she talks to you, I love the attention she gives you when you tell her something, I love when she insults and when she gets angry about stupid football games. I love watching her dance, laugh and sing. I love seeing how much she loves children and all she does for them. I love how she cooks. I love to see how competitive she is. I love her stupid and funny anecdotes. I love to see her accept her failures and use that to grow. I love her strength, as even though her heart has already been broken and she has been cheated on, she does not close herself to love. I love her Barbara, I really love her, I adore her and it hurts to see her with someone else... And it hurts me to know her so much that Gary used everything I told him about her to make her fall in love with him. Her favorite drink that he gave her every time? I told him she liked it. The vending machine full of chocolate? It was my idea. The Christmas gift of Mel's favorite team jersey, I told him about it. Fuck! He even asked me to help him write his vows and choose the rings, because he doesn't know her as well as I do! I LOVE HER AND IT FUCKING HURTS ME!"-You screamed and sighed, it felt good to say it even if it was too late. You were surprised to feel how Barbara hugged you tightly, a hug that you returned. Your body relaxed and the tension went away making you feel weak
-" Why didn't you tell her this?"-Barbara whispered and you sighed
-"Because she's perfect and I'm just me... A girl who will never be enough for woman like her, a cowardly girl who just watched as the love of her life was taken away from her and didn't have the strength to fight"-You whispered and as Barbara was about to answer, you heard a voice join the conversation
-"Hon, are you okay? I couldn't find you anywhere" - Melissa spoke and you quickly wiped away your tears preventing her from seeing you
-"I'm fine, I just felt overwhelmed with qll the music and the people, but I'm better now, Barbara already helped me... What are you doing here? You should be with your husband" - You asked as you adjusted your suit, the redhead looked at you unconvinced
-"I was really worried about you... I needed to see you and know that you're alright"-Mel answered and smiled a little as she saw how you took her arm to go back inside. Out of the corner of your eye, you saw how Barbara was following you two, smiling sadly when she saw how you put your mask back on when you were next to Melissa.
-"You don't have to worry about me, I'm fine, I'll be fine, you just worry about enjoying yourself, it's your big day my love, let's go dance"-You responded by smiling as best you could, even though inside you were falling apart.
