There are a few wips I almost added to this but then I would really be working on too many at once. Soo... once I finish one or two of these, maybe I'll tease them or add them to a post like this. Where ever I go there's always eyes glued to me, it's not anything I did per say but its because who I am and the family I was born into.

Two years ago me and my brother defeated the dark lord and the death eaters, they killed friends and family, they ruined our school and traumatized many of us but they didn't take away what was left of our family. We had to make it look like Sirius died so the death eaters would think they had an edge on us, oh were they wrong.

We won and saved people who probably weren't going to be saved like Sirius, Remus, Fred, and Lavender. Every since the war everyone gets along better there's no hateful things said about people with different blood statuses or abilities like there was before.

While Harry went to be an Auror and start his life with Ginny, I stayed behind to help rebuild the castle and help those who were in need, I'm a part-time nurse. I still live with Sirius and Remus or should I say they live with me, I pay the bills but after the war they just wanted to be alone from all the prying eyes and who could blame them. From my parents dying to this day all attention has been on us. It's finally dying down.

Today has been a long day, while so many people are working on building the school there's also so many people getting hurt, I have at least 10 patients a day and today that was tripped. This day is finally ending.

As I walk through the front door I see all the lights off except for one, the living room light. This wasn't a first time thing, I have nightmares frequently and if I don't end up in their bed one or both of them come in mine so I feel more safe after the dream I had. ' How does your head feel' Sirius asks and they both look at my head than at me ' fine, doesn't really hurt at all.

'Im so sorry that you had to wake up to that Y/n'. Remus says and I blurt out ' was kinda awake anyways' rookie mistake Y/n, and they both just look at each other and Sirius asks 'so you heard what we were talking about then?'

NOBODY ASKED but… Obviously Simon’s arc in adventure time solidified the series as one of greatest of all time (and I’m so hyped for this ice king sadness renaissance) but now I’m thinking of OTHER Adventure Time moments that rewired my brain as a kid. In no particular order:

1. “Once the strong guys got it how they liked it they said ‘this is fair now. This is the law.’ Once they were winning they changed the rules”. They really had the cartoon dog say that on tv in 2014.

2. “People get built different. We don’t have to understand it, we just gotta respect it”

3. The entirety of All The Little People. That shit was absolutely nuts for a kids show but also like…. I can’t articulate the lesson I just know there was one and it haunted me. The danger of the human ego. Hubris. Irreverence. Don’t play god bro.

4. Lady and Peebles. When PB ripped Ricardio’s leg off and bashed his skull in with it. And it was so hardcore they edited it out of the episode. Bro. I remember watching that after school one day and how my jaw just DROPPED at a PRINCESS being so brutal. They let her be so fucking angry and that was a game changer.

5. [Finn, about a horrific memory] “that one’s going in the vault. Aaaaaaaaaandd. It’s gone.” I quote that CONSTANTLY. It’s a great way to bring levity to a bad situation, but also forces me to go “hey wait a sec that’s not gonna work forever”. Things don’t stay in the vault.

6. Puhoy. He lived an entire life in that pillow world. He had kids. And then it’s just gone like a dream.

7. The deer. It was probably my first real introduction to horror. The hand wiggle. You all know exactly what I’m referencing. Were the candy people stuck in that well for 6 months???

8. What Was Missing!! Obviously now because it foreshadowed (and confirmed past) Bubbline, but back then just because it was so good??? IMO, this is the episode that defined WHO our main cast was, and how their relationships needed to grow for them to be content. It set up the next 6 years of the show! Plus it gave us 2 absolute BANGERS. Ugh i rewatched that recording so many times it wasn’t even funny.

9. Ghost Princess. Really just for the line where he sounds like he’s gonna shit his pants remembering his death and then in a clear narrator voice he’s like “I was a broken man.”

10. The pajama war episode. Now I’m doing this from memory so I could be wrong, but I think this really marks the start of Finn growing up. “I’ve really enjoyed just… hanging out with you.” The ability to start over with someone you’ve got complicated history with. The kindness. The growth from both of them!! It’s a direct parallel of episode 1 but their tones couldn’t be more different and I love it.

11. The slow and horrifying realization that The Mushroom War was nuclear Armageddon. Mushroom clouds. That went so far over my head as a kid even though they reference it constantly. It finally clicked during “I remember you”. Which I am NOT gonna go into because holy fuck that’s like 18 posts on its own.

12. Goliad! A child mirroring EVERYTHING they see, for better or worse. Seeing Jake in a bad moment screaming at the kids and goliad absorbing that behavior. Seeing she can use fear to control people. Also PB was Fucking Crazy! Her line “I’m not gonna live forever… I would if I could” is even more unhinged when we learn (like years later) that she’s already 900 years old. But she does physically age so I guess there’s that. The Suitor also falls into this category of episodes.

Ok getting into some of the more talked about moments

1. OK I LIED I have to talk about I remember you. I was 11 years old. I turned on the new adventure time episode like usual. 10 minutes later I was grappling with a grief I had never imagined before. Absolutely BAWLING not just for Simon and Marceline (the PLOT), but for what it showed me. The reality that every kid tries not to think about: your loved ones will leave you someday, even if they don’t want to. It’s an episode that becomes more powerful with every year I get older. To get a bit personal, dementia has completely taken my grandparents from me. I’ve seen sides of my grandfather that should never have existed, and I must constantly forgive him for what he does… now that he doesn’t remember me. And someday it’ll be my parents. That’s just the way of the world, ya know? Anyways, I remember my mom got home right as the credits were rolling and we had a long talk about keeping people alive with memory, mortality, and how the future was far away and we should decide on dinner lmao.

2. The Hall of Egress. I was almost 15. Life was changing. I was changing, and it was strange and frightening. That feeling where you know you’re losing your childhood but you just want to cling to it. Follow the same old familiar path, stick with what’s comfortable. But life doesn’t work that way. It took me years to really understand this episode and it’s symbolism. Honestly I still don’t think I could fully explain it. It’s like. How do I put this. I was so glad to be in the target age group in that moment. I was so glad that something I was growing up with was assuring me “you’re changing, but we’re changing too”. And isn’t that the theme of adventure time? Everything stays, but it still changes.

3. The absolute horror of Ferns existence. He’s Finn, but he’s wrong and warped. All those memories of the people he loves and they can’t stand to be in the same room as him.

4. Susan Strong. The introduction of a RUNNING PLOT. The show up to that point had really been so goofy and so monster of the week. I think the only really plot heavy episode before this one was It Came From the Nightosphere? And then suddenly they call into question the fact that Finn really is the ONLY HUMAN in all of OOO. And then… is he? It was SUCH a departure from the usual tone. Ending that episode with him reaching below her hat and gasping in shock, but never telling the audience what he found. And then she’s just gone. Which leads us to Islands!

5. Min and Marty. Second saddest episode in the entirety of adventure time, made worse because you know exactly how this family is gonna end up. There’s SO MUCH to dissect about Martins behavior in the series. A reformed con artist receives a traumatic brain injury while attempting to save his son. They’re both lost at sea, and he never looks for him. Was it the emotional trauma? Was it the physical damage? Meanwhile a mother loses her husband and her child in a single night and never EVER learns why. Nobody but Martin knows what happened that night. Also Finns fear of the ocean from season 1 is finally explained. 7 years of ignoring Finns origins and then they throw you THIS??? Watching it live was unreal.

Anyways I’m sure I’ll think of more. I might add on to this later for my own sake lmao, but I’d love to hear other peoples formative moments, quotes, episodes, etc. I really just needed to dump this information out of my brain so I can get on with my week.

JESS ANGST SCHOOL ANGST COMPLEX TRAUMA ANGST

In Keg Max! Principal Merton tells Jess he has missed 31 days of school. Now that makes him a chronic truant for sure, it means he's missed more than 10% of the school year, the standard school year is 180 days. Let's say there's 10 days left in the school year.

That's a LOT of school to miss. Young people improbably here, do not miss that much school

But relative to what we're being told about Jess, it's a weirdly low number? Jess never goes to school!!!! He's working 10000 hours at Walmart instead of going to school no school never heard of him!

That means that Jess attended school 139 days. Most schools I've worked with define that as a certain number of hours attended, more than half the day. So even if he was skipping that's 139 days he went to more than half the day NOT GOOD AT ALL BUT

Even after he was eighteen (early in the school year) he still laced up his boots and showed up somewhere he hated at saw no point in going to WHY!!????

First of all this is actually a ridiculously overcommitted young person let's at least acknowledge that.

He works before school at Luke's, and he works in the evenings too, closing up at 11:30 in one episode. Not just filling coffee mugs anymore. By season 3 he's closing alone, keeping tabs on the delivery schedule and capable of (furiously) running the morning rush alone.

AND he's working 45 hours a week at Walmart doing physical work, AND (poorly) maintaining a romantic relationship, AND reading obsessively, AND YES GOING TO SCHOOL! Jess starts working at Walmart in November (if you treat the air date as the canon date with the show roughly does), combined with Luke's it's probably 60-65 hours a week and still went to school 139 days!

He's making ridiculous choices because he is a tiny little fool but also has a trauma soaked brain

Jess chooses to be maxed out every minute of his life because he cannot tolerate being unoccupied, like a lot of people with complex trauma (and ADHD and Autism and more all of which could apply to Jess but rn I am talking about complex trauma)

When someone is used to chaos in their environment they actually feel less safe when things are quiet and still. It leads to someone who needs to have their RAM at 100% every waking AND sleeping moment

So they work 65+ hours, go to school most days, and they

cannot relax without extreme stimulation AKA needing the music on to sleep

Walk while reading because walking and looking ahead isn't enough is not occupied enough need more occupied

and starts reading the second he's stops talking to someone or using his hands to do something else. Reading as default in any given second.

He reads compulsively, no matter how chaotic the environment.

Reading ALSO isn't enough must be annotating and analyzing too passive reading is NOT ENOUGH

So Jess would rather show up at school for 139 days where other people are moving around, where there are fights to get into and classes to move to and from, even after he's an adult and Luke wouldn't find out that he isn't showing up. He'll show up to a test just to be in the classroom, not to take it.

This is not mentioning what I'm too lazy to screencap, that he's always doing something. that especially when he's talking to Luke Jess is constantly and doing things with his hands constantly.

There's really only one time we see Jess sitting still doing almost nothing

But not really nothing because smoking really is something.

My dude needs to be as occupied as possible from the time he wakes up all the way up to and including when he falls asleep to stay occupied and all that he's got on hand is going to a school that says the pledge of allegiance in six different languages then he will go! a/n: my fav cod man is soap so this took my top priority!!! i think about this man a lot, 09 and reboot version. reboot is my fav though, realistically, he's who i would actually get with. here’s all the things i’ve thought about him, there’s probably more tbh… OK OK HERE :))

childhood hcs

johnny soap mactavish comes from a large family of 5 siblings, he's the second oldest. it's elsie, him, blair, callum, and olivia.

growing up in a family of mainly girls got him on that respect women juice. he would always have to make sure his younger siblings are ok and aren't you know, being bullied. his parents were adamant on 2 year age gaps between them all.

his cousin, jack, was an sas operator and that was what made him want to join. they had to call security forces to arrest him out at some point because he kept sneaking in to watch them do stuff lol

elsie left for uni with her bf to live in soho when johnny was 16, the same year he would talk to recruiters around his hometown, driving hours and then getting rejected the same day due to his age

9th grade (year 10) chemistry got him obsessed with stem and its *explosive* results. he aced chemistry and then took advanced chemistry and physics just because he loved it so much

after this, as soon as he turned 18, he went to sign his papers THEN graduated school (he's just like me fr). his mom was so worried for him, especially when her sister told her about the danger that jack would get himself into. in the end, he promised he'll always call her and his siblings

his dad's an ass, hes an alcoholic, a cheater, a *bitch*... he would always take the kids to church on sundays and twisted the religion into a reason for his behavior. claiming that johnny's mom being at home was just "their culture"

she makes a killer shepherd's pie though

always had had some sort of love-hate relationship with the catholic faith. on one hand, it was nice to know there's always at least someone watching out for him, but after hearing the constant belittlement from his father, claiming he wasn't "manly enough" for not willing to give his life up in the service, he started to resent the “all merciful”.

he ended up blaming god for all his faults, letting him take accountability. this especially happened when he got diagnosed with adhd when he was 17, his dad didn’t believe in mental health. his mom was only a bit better about it, they both refused meds for him.

he's bisexual, leans towards women though. found this out after a truth or dare game in junior year (year 12) and some beers in a closet

at one point, callum acccidently let it slip at dinner when johnny had first moved out that he had met a cute guy and their dad screamed and yelled at the whole family, especially their mom, about "raising a fucking whore of a son, dragging the family down to shite"

blair called and told johnny a few days later and johnny rushed his work as quickly as possible and begged his chain of command for a few days off to go back home to his family

his family gets loud…like really loud. there’s 7 people what do you expect?

it gets especially bad when it’s sunday morning and you gotta get 7 people awake and looking their church best for an hour and a half 😔

johnny is the quickest everything there is, which has its downsides too. he could run and swim the fastest in the family, but he was also the quickest eater…meaning he’s on dish washing duty. he’s quick at that too so by the time everyone’s finished, he’s washed all the other dishes that took to make dinner

broke his arm chasing a cat through someone’s yard (he was 14)

had a goat scream and kicked him because he wanted to give it a hug

he got a part time job at a local bakery in 10th grade (year 11). the pay wasn’t much but neither was the work really. olivia, who was 9 at the time, made him promise that he’ll get her a doll to have tea with. her tea set had 4 cups but only one of her, so she must get another one to join her! he kept his promise; he ended up getting three dolls for her

he can make amazing soda bread and brioche loafs now too, still keeps a starter from the owner of the bakery to this day

he had a mountain bicycle that he would take everywhere. had room behind his seat for packages and his backpack, which he would tie down. that thing had such a loud bell too, would ring constantly to “let people know hes coming and get ready”

was terrified of selkies for some reason, always had the window closed and made callum sleep by it while he slept by the door

wasn’t much of a troublemaker, but would get into trouble with his adventurous heart.

got lost in the woods once and after a while of fake courage, he sat down and cried until elsie found him. he was 20 yards (13 meters) away from the clearing 😭😭

personality & relationship hcs

johnny is such a fun lover. he’s handsome yeah, but what makes ppl flaunt over him is his humor. he’s what jessica rabbit said “he makes me laugh”

such a charismatic and charming person, gets it from his dad. he could talk about just about anything, also the type to strike up a conversation with a stranger at the grocery store. then end up with their number and a date or helping them dog sit

this isn’t always a good thing though, one time before he was medicated, he would talk on and on, his story becoming incoherent due to the amount of self-interruptions he made, that a group of guys got so annoyed at that pub, they punched him.

he was young, 19, and couldn’t fight, so he didn’t win and came back to the barracks with a nasty black eye

he likes to be the big spoon, has to hold something in order to sleep

feel like he’s the type to wrap his arms around a pillow and lay on his stomach to sleep

speaking of sleeping, he HATES sleeping with socks on. he tried it one day and he just shivered at the feel of it, woke up and his socks were missing (he found them under the bed)

i also feel like he sleeps like a log, unmoving once he finds his comfort, i also think it's because he had to sleep in the same bed as his siblings at one point and he didn't want to wake them by moving, so he got accustomed to being a still sleeper

one time he accidentally got into a fight at a bar when a guy kept being misogynistic and was arrested and kept in jail for the whole night until one of his civilian friends bailed him out

johnny's the type to race you in the rain to the car. again, he's quick so he's always ahead of you but then he slips from the rain and ends up all wet and muddy and in the car.

his favorite thing to do is hear you laugh. he'll do anything to hear you laugh.

whenever you're sad, he'll purposely stub his toe or trip down the stairs or make you kiss his "owie" (a papercut) to get you to cheer up. like yeah it hurts like a fucking bitch but seeing you sad hurts more than a silly tumble

number one date event is city exploring and hopping. like cafe hopping, pub hopping, museum hopping, restaurant hopping, anything that makes you get up and get going with time to sit and chill at the same time.

feels like he can eat a lot, he's the type to eat your food if you end up not liking it or being too full

when he gets home from missions and the initial excitement of seeing you dies down, he also dies down and nap for hours until it's the middle of the night and he gets up to eat something.

he loves naps. feels like he needs a nap time every day if it was possible

he's a very kind lover, he's easy going so its not hard that sometimes people take advantage of this and push his buttons until he can't take it anymore

causes a huge blowup because he can have a nasty temper whenever he bottles stuff up and pushes things aside

not a physical manifestation of anger, but definitely a verbal anger, will say things he doesn't really mean just to say it and realize right after the words leave his lips that he fucked up

but he'll stake out in front of the guest bedroom in which you've locked yourself in until you come out and he gets the chance to forgive you

the type to stand in the rain and hold a sign saying sorry right outside your window, a very cheesy romcom style (gaz made him watch them)

he loves you more than anything and loves you even more than you can keep up with him and laugh at his jokes, no matter how awful they are

he wants 4 kids by the way

Bold of you to assume this mf didn't bring his own rubber ducks

The bathtub is overcome with your shared aquatic fowl. You two are having an absolute field day in there (and not like a regular field day, but like a Magic School Bus field day)

Maybe they have a war or something. Or maybe they establish a peace agreement and the two leaders of your different duck nations get married to form a union

You guys end up staying in the tub until the water is freezing

Honestly though, you probably benefitted from having a little while to both just indulge in childish behaviour without any judgement or consequences. And it was super fun so no regrets

After the first time you guys decide to start having shared baths every now and then when things get too stressful at work, so you could blow off steam in a harmless and fun way

But you two don't tell anybody. I mean Ranpo still brings rubber ducks to public bathhouses because he's just like that but nobody else ever finds out the true extent of your duck-related shenanigans

He didn't expect it, but he likes it!

Dazai probably never washes himself ever so he was already quite on board with the idea of having a bath with you (he gets to see you nakey and have clean hair for once? Like what a win)

Also I reckon he's the kinda guy who really enjoys bubble baths and plays with them and gets the bathroom all messy with the bubbles (me too Dazai)

So he was pretty hyped for this. But then you dump like fifty rubber ducks into the bath and NOW IT'S TIME TO GET FUNKY

Dazai has definitely never played with them before. He's amused with the way they float, with the fact that they make noise when you squeeze them, their big stupid eyes and everything about them

He initially wants to question why you have so many of them or where you got them from but then he just as quickly decides that he doesn't really wanna know the answer

Is he as invested in the ducks as you are? No, but he's very curious about them and finds it nice that you enjoy them so much

Probably wraps one in bandages and gives it to you so you're always thinking of him or smth 💀 (it's cute though)

Chuuya:

If Chuuya has run you a bath he probably intended for it to be romantic and relaxing

And then you bringed in the duckies

After a quick discussion you two do compromise on a romantic bath. With rubber ducks. And it honestly ends up being more perfect than either of you expected

He'd have been willing to just let you do your thing though because he just wants you to be happy but mans works too hard to pass up an opportunity to relax in the bath with you

So what ends up happening is you two just cuddle in the bath and talk about life and romance and stuff, and there's also ducks floating there, entirely out of place

Like Chuuya would have pulled out all the stops. Candles and wine and stuff, so like a pretty mature scene that does not accommodate for rubber ducks, and yet there they are

But he thinks it's really cute how into the ducks you are so he lets you keep them around

He would definitely buy you more rubber ducks in the future just to see you smile. Chuuya is down so bad for you 😌

Poe:

He's probably never even seen a rubber duck in his 1800s gothic anxietycore life

You might honestly have to explain what they are. He's like 'and they don't do anything? You just have them there for company?' and you're like 'yeah!' and he's just like

Poe would find one singular duck of yours and latch onto it. That one is his duck now and he would keep it nearby because it reminds him of you

Overall though he doesn't really get on board with it. Like after the first two minutes when the novelty fades he's like '...can we please remove them' lol

If you say yes then the bath then continues on exactly as expected. It's nice but Poe's a little insecure and shy (cuddle him pls)

If you say no then he's just gonna learn to deal with them. This man doesn't have the balls to set boundaries with you (ME TOO POE)

That being said, if Karl likes the ducks? ...oh boy he's straight up going to purchase an avalanche of them

It's really up to you whether or not the ducks catch on or not, Poe's just along for the ride whether or not he wants to be

Atsushi:

Help him

They didn't have rubber ducks in the orphanage, and Atsushi probably hasn't had a proper nice long bath in years. He did not want nor expect a horde of rubber ducks

But Atsushi loves you so much that he's willing to look past it. And the duckies actually grow on him by the time you guys get out the bath

He's always seen bathing as just that. A way to clean. But you're determined to introduce him to the wonders of bathtime and make up for the childhood he wasn't allowed to have

He mostly just goes along with you and doesn't really match your energy, but he absolutely loves seeing you so excited about the ducks

He would definitely like the idea of baths being a cute couply thing for you guys to do though so whether or not you got your ducks with you is honestly irrelevant

But you do. And so he accepts them as a part of being with you. In sickness and health or whatever idk nobody loves me lmao

Just make sure that you give Atsushi as much attention as you give to the ducks okay?

Mykola has literally never been happier in his entire life

This was the moment when he realised that you were the one for him. His soulmate, his one and only

The pair of you wreak havoc on the bathroom. Like with Ranpo, y'all were just being a little playful. You and Mykola straight up destroy the whole room

You two spend hours in there coming up with names, extended backstories and lore of each rubber duck and it gets so complicated so fast

He would also give each one of them a different voice while you guys are messing around. Theatre kid moment

You've now given him the idea to just randomly present you with rubber ducks at any time, regardless of the scenario. Your collection grows tenfold due to this bastard and Fyodor is not pleased about it. Not when Mykola is interrupting DOA meetings with fucking ducks

Straight up just does not react. This shit is a regular Tuesday for him

Tecchou doesn't strike me as someone who would suggest that you two take a bath together, so it was most likely your idea. He went along with it because relaxing in a steamy room with you sounded nice, but in reality you just wanted to show him the ducks

And though he might have seemed disinterested he was so happy to know that you and him had a similar interest

You two are so good for each other that way <3 (good = autistic I guess, because Tecchou is canon autism I decided)

So while you play with the ducks or whatever he just sits there content and watches you do so with a little smile. Probably calls you cute at some point entirely catching you offguard

I deliberately saved this ask for last (sort of). As a treat for myself and as a threat for everyone else ♡ And for @ur-favorite-basil-enthusiast since he was also interested in seeing The Collection.

I'll have to split this into a few parts - dreaful, I know! - because I can only add 10 pictures to one post while on mobile =( I'll keep reblogging with additional pictures till I run out of things to share. Part 1

He had manifested to me in a dream when I first started researching Chernobyl, have I ever mentioned that? Well, he has. Which was truly an anomaly because I almost never have any dreams at all... but about that some other time, perhaps.

I am going to put the pictures of him under the cut so nobody gets jumpscared by my Collection of Five Billion White Guy Pictures. And I'll also include some relevant information! Or as relevant as I can make it, at least.

Just to be clear (and safe): I found all of these out in the wild, on da internet. I am, however, pretty sure that at least the collage of his pics from uni times is from @/toptunovleonid on Instagram. So, just to be very clear: all credit for at least that goes to her.

Semi-chronologically, his pictures go like this:

Ignoring that one picture that is barely visible and out of frame in a few pictures of the photo album it's in, because he looks about 10 there and I feel slightly weird about sharing it specifically.

We're in... Tallinn, middle school number 11!

Second boy from the left in the second picture is him. That is he. He who was 15 then. And a 16 year old Lyonya in the left picture, of course.

From this time, one of his classmates remembers him as follows: At school he was quiet, unnoticeable, very shy. I remember he was always hanging out with younger kids. He was chubby. They'd now say he was a "nerd". Alright, we get it, he was a sweet child... Teen? Both? Or was he like this all his life? Either way, please stop before I die from all that sugar...

He's (10th grade) the guy leading the little girl (1st grade). His shapeless hair has charmed me. What's his hair routine and will it work on my curls? Mhm, didn't think so. And first in the second row from the bottom in the small pictures, in case you can't recognise his face yet.

As a bonus - his school certificate from the school in Tallinn he attended until graduating in 1977:

The grades were from 2 (you didn't pass with that one, so that's an F) to 5 (an A, I suppose?). So as you can see, he certainly studied well. What a nerd (affectionately).

Uni territory now! Moscow calling 📞 or, rather, Obninsk and the MEPhI

If you weren't born in any of the USSR countries during The Soviet Times, it'll come as a surprise to you but the students had mandatory... field... work... classes...? if you can call them that. They had them digging potatoes and what not. Nothing screams socialist spirit like making uni students do free labour in the field, I guess?

When I first saw this picture, I thought he was on some kind of a scaffolding but alas - it's one of those old beasts, like our Bizon. But that's not a Bizon because those had roofs. Nobody here cares for USSR combines talk - not even me - let's move on.

Not too sure when these two are from but they look uni enough to me - probably from the very beginning and sometime closer to the end, judging by his stache doing significantly better...

Mandatory military service because a REAL MAN in the USSR needed to know how to shoot a gun, obviously. Even when that meant military service interrupted your uni for a short while. I say that as if no other countries before or after had mandatory army time... don't question it, I'm doing a bit.

Lyonya is second in top row in the picture on the left and third from the left in the top row in the other pic. Korol is there, too, he's fourth from the left in the top row in the first picture and second from the right in the bottom row in the other picture.

Little details in episode 11

I really love episode 11 (ugly sobbing). And it only improved on returning to it over a week late with a glass of wine. This is very first half heavy because I’ve written a lot about the back half separately.

The bag!! It shows very prominently here, even as Sailom knows he’s about to quit school. Once again, Kang and his family are still with him even though Sailom doesn’t think they are! (And there are so many other points you see it. More than any other episode I can remember.)

The makeup team! Chimon! He LOOKS bone deep exhausted and sad here

Perth plays Kang so interesting here. He starts breathing so hard when he looks over at Sailom. He looks like he’s fighting the urge to jump out of his seat and go over to Sailom.

The contrast of this delicate shoulder hold and Sailom’s arms looped around his chest in episode 10 BREAKS MY HEART.

This is a brutal line. And this is why I don’t take it seriously when people say DR doesn’t ever talk about income inequality. What does school matter when you are the sole source of income for your family? I will never forget this moment!!

The irony of this line is that Kang is probably MUCH more comfortable with Sailom at school — it makes the stalking easier 😂 — but I still want to see the absolute meltdown Kang would have had if Pimfah started sponsoring Sailom. They have been friends since they were babies … would that be the end??

Here is my number one argument for why Sailom needed to be the one to escort in the roleplay. He stops Auto in the gym from prostrating for him, we see that in a flashback (as Sailom is remembering it from the lens of Auto being a good friend). Sailom also tried to stop Kang from kneeling in the bike shop. Sailom has been staunchly, fiercely proud this whole series. The fact that he is willing and comfortable playing the role of service to Kang is actually a beautiful sign that he has grown and changed as a person and is willing to bend in the future. We don’t need to see this again from Kang because we have already seen it in the bike shop and in episode 11 when he finally got to take care of Sailom.

Not one of Sailom’s happy memories being Guy supporting him dating Kang … while Sailom is about to say goodbye to Kang for what he thinks is the very last time. SOBBING

I am CONVINCED Sailom knew it was Kang standing in front of him by his legs/hips alone. He already knows who he’s glancing up to see before his eyes ever meet Kang’s. This boy has probably MEMORIZED every line of Kang’s body.

I just want to point out that Kang was going to walk past him without saying or doing anything!! His face before Sailom thanked him was not mad. If anything he looked like he might cry. And then to have Sailom call him back — I think he got hopeful that Sailom might try to actually talk to him

You can actually SEE how Sailom very formally thanking him felt like a knife to the heart instead. His eyes are DEAD.

Then Kang goes quiet. He stares at Sailom for a long long second. And he keeps making an aborted arm movement as if to touch. Then he leaves as soon as he gets the pin. Boy is so close to crying here.

Meanwhile, Sailom is putting up one of his absolute best I’M FINE!! Fronts. He almost manages a smile.

We the audience sympathize with him so much because we see what he looks like after Kang walks away but Kang is only seeing the facade to this point.

Noticing for the first time that Sailom can’t get all the way through it when he starts to tell Saifah he quit school. I’m so upset. Look how openly devastated he looks

I’ve said repeatedly I want a sunshine Chimon character soon, but I actually think I want a really tortured angry one. He’s SO HOT HERE and also later fighting the guy in the hospital

Sailom’s genuine smile for getting a bonus for working the morning shift!! I’m just really sad thinking about how ever many days he spent working full time not seeing anyone he loved except Saifah in jail and how much that simple kindness had to mean to him

Kang’s bravery here! They were going to run Sailom over and he put himself right in the path of it. Also, Sailom’s immediate trust in jumping on with him.

It’s so weird not hearing boyfriend and it makes me sad!! But also the word friend gives me episode 2 feelings

The more I watch this scene the more important I think it is that Kang is very quiet. He is seeing Sailom being openly furious. Sailom is NEVER like this usually. This is the beginning of Kang starting to really see behind the mask

This part of the episode makes me emotional because it was when I instantly stopped being mad at Kang in the face of his big puppy dog eyes and soft voice.

Noticing for the first time that Kang touched him when he said “Come with me”

After Kang says “be still” in the actual softest voice ever he physically takes Sailom’s bare leg and pulls him closer. It’s … a lot. I’m … overwhelmed

This is Sailom fishing. He’s just emboldened enough by the realization that Kang followed him to try to get Kang to open up

Sailom’s face when he realizes Kang came back!! stab me in the heart!!

The long pause after Sailom says “I thought I had no one left” where Kang fully and unquestionably realizes how much Sailom needs him. Stab me in the heart!!

Sailom is the lighter sleeper of the two canon confirmed

Kang lets out such a deep breath after all his bravado at the door. He was so scared and he braved it for Sailom!!

Sailom’s smile when he realizes Kang is going to come with him to the police station, stoooop

Today, tonight, whatever time of day it is for you, I want to talk about this moment right here.

I have thoughts about this and I know I touched on this topic before but after updating one of my Miruko fics, I thought about this scene some more and realized something.

Here's the thing with Miruko that I think more people should actually stop overlooking.

If you read BNHA Vigilantes (I recommend it and SPOILERS AHEAD IF YOU HAVEN'T), then you would know a bit of Miruko's history.

For those who don't, let me give you a recap of it.

During Miruko's middle school days, she was quite a rowdy one. She would often crash fight clubs and get in trouble for it. Eventually, this lead to her being expelled from her school and taken into custody. Between that time and her high school years, her whereabouts were unknown and I have a theory on that in another post here.

Now this bit of her history is why I think she says "I heard you formed a team. Weaklings."

I don't think she was being "mean" (if anything, I have a feeling that the Lurkers were even formed because of popularity reasons).

I think there's something deeper.

And that is if we dive deeper into her past, the answer is obvious.

Her quirk.

Does it not occur to anyone that Miruko may have been bullied by other people because she has a Rabbit quirk?

Think about it.

What's the first thing you think of when you look at a rabbit? Cute, right? And often how are cute things perceived? As defenseless!

Imagine growing up and people constantly telling you how cute you are, how helpless you look because your quirk gives you rabbit ears and a tail.

Rumi probably got sick of it. She probably started acting out to prove that she isn't some helpless kid (like Izuku). She doesn't have sidekicks, an agency and doesn't work with other Heroes like that because she grew up with the idea she had to carry her own weight and do things on her own so people would stop underestimating her.

She may have had to deal with people like him!

Also, not just because of her quirk but also the fact she's female.

Note that there is a lot of male heroes in the industry and the highest ranked female heroes currently are Miruko at #6, Ryukyu at #10 and Mt. Lady at #23. Yet, each of them had to deal with more crap than some of the other heroes. Not just even physical injuries but I bet they have heard some sexist things in their lifetime. Mt. Lady is a starting hero, but so was Kamui Woods and she did more than him during the Kamino incident.

Personally, Miruko is a better hero than the ones ranked above her (both in skill and morals). I'm sticking by that and my mind will not be changed. No, I don't care for a debate about it. You have your opinion and I have mine.

Now, like other kids, I'm sure she idolized admired Heroes, possibly All Might, and wanted to be one. But as it happened to Izuku, she was put down for it because even though she has a quirk, people probably saw it as a "weak" one and that she's a girl.

"Rabbits always running away because they're always scared."

Her motto probably became something like "I'm a rabbit that runs towards the danger, not from it. I am the danger."

Thus lead to her doing what she did in her school days and thinking teamwork is weak. She didn't want people to think she has to rely on others' strengths and to protect herself. She could do that herself.

Think about how she interacts with other Heroes and teamwork. She is cooperative and she doesn't complain ever about working with them. She didn't think twice about helping Endeavor and Hawks out and she didn't protest during the Hospital Raid (or after later in the manga).

And remember when she insists on still fighting and Endeavor told her she done enough?

She probably felt that she still had to keep going, that she had to prove "I'm not helpless, let me still fight" (again, there's that Midoriya).

While it's on my mind, since I touched on Vigilantes.

I also think it's crazy that out of everyone in her past that the one person who did think her quirk was useful was the most evil character in this story and that's All For One.

During chapters 88 - 89 in Vigilantes, AFO is watching the underground fight so he can choose what quirks to steal. However, he (and Kurogiri) was about to call it a lost cause until Rumi showed up and started kicking everyone's asses and changed his mind and attempted to steal her quirk.

That is mad wild to me that she was still training as a Hero, so again another moment of how badass she really is, just a kid and AFO sees this girl with Rabbit ears and a tail and think "I can steal that". Like you got to be one hell of a fighter for AFO to look at you and want to steal your quirk. Rumi took a "weak quirk" and strengthen it and AFO recognized that.

Eddie x reader; fluff angst

Eddie forgets to pick you up after work

Tick. Tick. Tick

You watched as the clock slowly ticked away, silently waiting for your shift to end. The family video was dead at this point. Mostly everyone in Hawkins was at the championship basketball game.

The only reason you aren’t with Steve watching Lucas ride the bench, or watching Robin in band was because you had been needing to save up some money for your spring break trip with your boyfriend.

Eddie Munson.

He (who was also busy tonight with his hellfire club) was going to pick you up after all Friday night activities subsided.

Sure, you wished you could be with your friends tonight, but it’s not like the shift is hard.

The occasional loners who don’t go to school functions came to pick up some movies before dinner. Then of course you had some older families getting their weekly date night fix.

But now, with only 10 minutes left in your shift, you were just ready to be done for the day.

Eddie was a little disappointed you weren’t gonna accompany him for his big night with his Hellfire friends, however completely understood. He was proud of you for working so hard. (He also had no idea of your planned savings to take him on a weekend getaway).

Since you couldn’t have a fun Friday night with your friends, Eddie promised you to a complete and totally metal sleepover at his place. Which for him consists of cuddling, kissing, talking about your night while he lulls you to sleep with his guitar.

It was going to be so perfect.

When the clock struck nine you shut the lights off, making sure to lock up everything you needed to.

You walked out the front door, locking it behind you. Eddie told you he would be about 10 minutes after your shift ended and to just wait for him to roll up in his van.

You took a seat on the curb and pulled a candy bars out of your jacket pocket. You started to snack and waited on your boyfriend to show.

10 minutes turned into 20. Which turned into 45, which ended up being and hour. The air was colder, making you shiver and hug yourself. You knew the game was over by the increased traffic on the main road leaving town.

You sighed, standing to your feet and dusting yourself off. You started walking back into town toward home.

Eddie forgot.

Your heart ached, he has never done this before. Your mind started to spiral.

Why did he forget me?

Am i not important to am?

Was he angry with me?

Your heart sped a little when you saw a car approaching. Maybe Eddie was just running a little bit behind?

No. It was none other then King of Hawkins High himself Jason Carver and LUCAS?

“Hey Y/n we won the championship game! I hit the winning shot can you believe that!” Lucas exclaimed as Jason’s car slowly rolled to a stop making you stop as well. Lucas’ sudden excitement caught you off guard.

“Oh wow Lucas that’s.. great, Um congrats.” You shivered again from the cold air. You were happy for the young boy who you’ve grown very close too.. considering the last few years.

Even though you were happy for Lucas, the hurt, anger, and disappointment you had for your boyfriend was overshadowing your emotions.

“We are going to the after party you should come.” Jason said as sly as ever. You narrowed your eyes at him.

“No thanks, just heading home.”

You weee not a fan of Jason. You had seen how he talked to Eddie, Dustin, and Mine. Pretty much everyone who wasn’t on the cheerleading or basketball team was beneath him.

The only reason he was even talking to you was because your sure Lucas had seen you and asked Jason to pull over.

“At least lemme give you a ride. It’s scary out these days. Don’t wanna be walking home alone.” Jason smirked.

You scoffed, “I’ll take my chances.”

“Come on Y/N, we are heading that way. Besides why are you walking home? Where’s your car?” Lucas asked his ‘cool kid’ demeanor fading and being replaced by real concern.

“Eddie was supposed to pick me up. But he probably just got busy or someth-“

“The freak? We saw him leaving with his cult friends at the same time we left.” Jason cut you off. Lucas just lowered his head, not wanting to let his new popular friends know he is associated with the Hellfire Club.

“Well either way… I just worked like an 8 hour shift so I just wanna go home.” The gravel on the road seemed way more interesting then the current conversation you were having. Not making eye contact with the boys inside the car anymore.

“Hop in.” Jason said giving you a sad smile. You rolled your eyes and gave in. Knowing damn well part of you was doing this to make Eddie mad. The other part just really ready to get home.

The drive to your house was quiet on your end. The boys were talking about the game and how they were gonna get smashed at the after party.

You almost didn’t even recognize Lucas with how he was acting.

Jason pulled into your driveway and turned off the car. “Sure wish you could come with us y/n. It really is gonna be the party of the year.” Jason smirked and turned to look at you in the back seat.

“Yeah well maybe another time. Thanks for the ride.”

And without anymore words, you got out of the car and walked toward your front door, unlocking it and going inside.

The house was quiet, your parents already asleep. You shuffled up to your room, quietly shutting the door behind you.

You threw your smelly work clothes in the floor and changed into an oversized tee. You didn’t even bother brushing your hair or anything. You just wanted to sulk in your bed.

You closed your eyes and tried to contain the burning feeling in your nose and throat. You couldn’t help by cry.

This hurt. And this hurt bad.

This was so unlike Eddie. And you had yet to hear from him even now after almost two hours after he was supposed to pick you up.

You cried and cried and cried until eventually you fell asleep.

The sound of your doorbell ringing woke you up the next day. The bright light coming through your curtains gave your already pounding headache worse. You rolled over, placing another pillow over your eyes.

You could hear footsteps approaching your bedroom door. A soft knock was heard along with a voice you weren’t expecting to hear.

“Y/n? Hey you in there?”

You sat up quickly, pillows flying off your bed.

It was Eddie.

Your parents loved Eddie so of course they just let him right on in. You didn’t even have the energy to tell them what happened last night.

“Sweetheart can I come in?” His voice was soft, and low. Almost like a whisper.

Your heart ached. You didn’t want to do this right now. You had wished it had been a bad dream.

Nonetheless, you stood making your way across the room to open the door just wide enough for Eddie to get a small glimpse of you.

His heart ached at your appearance. Your eyes were puffy and he could only assume they were from crying. Which hurt him even more. Knowing he made you cry broke his heart.

Your messy hair sticking out in all places. He was used to this as he knew you were a pretty rough sleeper. But what broke him the most was the sad look you had etched across your face.

“Hey.” You said looking at your bare feet. This was all you could muster up to say to Eddie. He obviously had gotten fair sleep by the look of his appearance. You couldn’t say the same for you.

“Hey sweetheart. Can I come in? I’m sorry for waking you on your Saturday.” Eddie leaned closer into the door frame trying to reach out to your hand. You took a step back, avoiding his touch.

You had missed him. Even though you were angry, his small gestures melted your heart. You loved how he always reaches out to caress your arm or hand. How he towers over you and places his chin on your head. His long arms completely surrounding your body in warmth.

You wanted to just let it all go. But he hurt you and this was one conversation you can’t avoid if you wanted to continue living life together as a couple.

You opened the door for him. He walked in your room, surveying the area. The pink contrast and brightness of your room always caught him off guard.

He sat down at the edge of your bed and you followed up. Climbing back up and sitting criss cross next to him. He places his hand on your bare thigh making your heart flutter.

“About last night I-“

“You mean when you forget about me and left me sitting on the curb at family video for almost two hours after you PROMISED me you’d pick me up and take me back to your place afterward? Yeah Eddie what about last night do you wanna talk about?”

Eddie was surprised at your sudden outburst. As were you, but it needed to be said.

“Y/n there is no excuse. I’m so so sorry. Yes I got caught up in the game and the boys and by the time I realized how late it was I hauled ass to the family video but you were already gone.” Eddie was now turned toward you, his hand in your squeezing tight.

“I felt like shit. Like actual dog shit.”

This caused a smile giggle from you, making Eddie’s pulse race at your smile. He wiped away the stray tears that you didn’t even realize were falling.

“Hey there’s my girl.” He lifted your chin with his fingers. “I am so sorry y/n. I was so worried about you and then I felt even worse because you had to walk home a-“

“Eddie I didn’t walk.”

“How’d you get home then?”

You could feel the heat creep on your cheeks. The anger you felt now fading but replaced with embarrassment.

“I got a ride.. from Jason.” You tried to hide your laugh as Eddie’s face contorted to disgust.

Him being dramatic of course, he forcefully through his hands over his heart and fell back into your bed.

“Ouch babe that stings that really stings.”

You laughed and pulled him up and wrapped your arms around his torso. “You know I deserved that. So imma let it slide just this once.” Eddie said pulling away and pointing a finger at you.

You smiled up at him, letting him know you were no longer angry. Just happy he is here now. His lips found there way on yours and you felt the sparks flying all around you.

You pulled back, “you soooo owe me a date night. And I guess I can let this one slide too. But just this once.”

Eddie’s hands cupped your head and he places kisses all over your face. “It’ll never happen again M’lady.”

“Good.”

You two snuggled up and ended up laying there for the rest of the morning. No more words said. Just the two of you, together, and happy.

1. Are you named after anyone? I am! My paternal grandfather (:

2. When was the last time you cried? Uhhh... I don't remember if I have this past week, but I know I cried for 2.5 hours driving home last Monday :))))

3. Do you have kids? No.

4. Do you use sarcasm a lot? I feel like I do? But maybe not now that I think about it. I can be really sarcastic with my closest friends and families, but I think outside of that I'm pretty careful with it.

5. What sports do you play/have you played? Ehh, I played recreational basketball when I was young, and recreational volleyball and softball in college, but not much since then.

6. What’s the first thing you notice about other people? Hmm. I think...how they interact with other people? For instance, if I'm at a market and just sort of doing my thing but glancing around at others as I do it, I'll notice how they're talking to the people they're with, how they treat the person they're trying to pass in a busy aisle, etc. Similarly, online I'll first pay attention to how individuals interact with their mutuals, how they respond to asks, or how they behave in Discord servers. Just generally, people's behavior towards other people.

7. Scary movies or happy endings? Scary movies hands down.

8. Any special talents? I'm really good at finding something that's been lost/ the owner can't track down? between having an insanely visual mind and being an analytical thinker, I either remember exactly where the item is because I can see it in my head, or quickly deduce where it's most likely to be. (this sounds arrogant but I truly am scary good at it 😆) I'd also say that my imagination/visual mind is another "special talent."

10. What are your hobbies? Learning about trees/ birds/ nature; reading; writing.

Besties..do you think that Neil Gaiman knows the impact and importance of his work? The Green Brothers, do you guys think they know? James Dashner?? Uncle Rick?? FUCK.

Like i genuinely would not have made it past middle school without the Maze Runner series. The complexity of the characters was my gateway to millions of other great series, and while the books aren’t my favorite now as a 20 year old, I appreciate everything they did for me in terms of learning to read novels and mapping out in-depth plots.

I wouldn’t have picked my major or found myself able to go through long auto-immune treatments without Hank and John Green..hell I probably wouldn’t have passed my high school classes without them either. Would I have picked the major I did without Crash Course US History.. ?probably not..and gosh, did every single one of their books ruined my life? yep.. (I literally clutched my cluttered TFIOS copy everywhere I went for like 2 years😭). I just want to sit down and talk to them and just even try to understand why they think the way they do.. just gain any wisdom from them.. I have so so so so so much to learn..

and Rick, I genuinely wouldn’t have found understanding for my disabilities without his writings.. I had never seen a main character who also had ADHD/Dyslexia until I met Percy. Not to mention that Will and Nico were the very first gay characters I had been exposed to, and little 10 y/o me had no idea the importance of that for later on.. (Though I blame him for my on going greek mythology phase..not cool uncle rick.. not cool..also I blame him for the creation of one of the best musicals ever ok ok). This man literally shaped part of my life for the better. I have a signed copy of PJO and its my prized possession and I wish that was a joke.

and Neil, literally where do I start? This man’s writings were introduced to me my freshman year of high school and were one of the only things that kept me alive until now. I graduate COLLEGE next year and I genuinely do not know if I would be here if I didn’t have American Gods, Good Omens, and The Sandman.. and who knew that it was going to be Crowley.. of all the fucking characters in the world - that gave me the courage to come out to my friends. (Honestly, it only got worse after David took the role, I’m annoying about it now.. I love that man so much but also Michael <3). Do you guys know the hoops I would jump through just to have a conversation with him?? To thank him for literally everything his work has done for me?? AHHH.

Authors are truly some of the most amazing people. If they can have an impact on such a small, inconsequential life such as mine, just imagine what their writings did and do for others who are bound for such great things. It makes me so excited. Fuck, I cannot wait for my generation to grow up.

Its 6 am and I just got out of exam week (so I haven’t slept for like actually 2 weeks so I don’t know if any of this made sense but take a sip of water if you agree). Goodnight✨.

1. How many works do you have on Ao3?

8 (i just got back into writing in July 2023!)

2. What’s your total Ao3 word count? 66,608 (it will probably double as I am deep into a long fic right now)

3. What fandoms do you write for?

I used to write Puzzleshipping YGO but I’m all in on Mob psycho 100 now.

4. What are your top five fics by kudos?

5. Do you respond to comments?

Yes! It’s something I take very seriously. No judgement if someone doesn’t respond to my comment on fics! But for me it’s important to respond.

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Ah. Hm. Blackhole I guess? The ending isn’t angst though it’s just a more intense fic.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

I think Float is very happy. It makes me smile every time I read it. Also the ending of Cobalt makes me so good. I want to rewrite Cobalt though its missing something. I posted it too soon.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

Back in my YGO days I got some but I just ignored it. Usually they were just about me not finishing a fic so….yeah I get it heh

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

Yep. I’m an adult. I can write and enjoy smut.

But in all seriousness I do and I encourage anyone who is hesitant to write about sex, to just do it for yourself if you ever want to. You never have to post it, you can just write what you want and delete it, or keep it for yourself. Or never write about sex at all. I'll just say, getting back into this part of myself after not writing it for years has been so beneficial for my mental health. It helps me process and work through things. And writing gives me the opportunity to do that.

10. Do you write crossovers?

Well not right now, but I do know a lot about a certain mp100xOPM AU by @sodasexual and may or may not write something in that verse one day. Already drawing fanart for it so.... fanfics are likely gonna happen one day!

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Uhhhh not that I….know of? (gosh I hope none have...)

Nope.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Sorta co-wrote something recently that was just for fun. Also @emeraldoodles and I def co-wrote a dragonshipping fic I think when we were in high school? Dunno if I ever posted it tho I can't remember

14. What’s your all time favorite ship?

Hm. Puzzleshipping is my origin story. But something about Terumob really hits me in a place that I can’t describe. I just adore them.

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

Hmmm I have a couple one-shots I wanna write and I may not write them all.

16. What are your writing strengths?

I love writing POV descriptions of emotions. And I like to hope I’m good at it. Blackhole is this. It’s a mess of words and descriptions that I can just chew on and I love writing it. I think my recent Terumob oneshots kinda get into that space too. I like to hope that is a strength. But yeah it seems to resonate with people so I think it’s a strength?

I also think dialogue has always come easy to me. I feel like it’s the easiest thing for me to write and I hope it is realistic.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Ah.... I am terrible with consistency. I forget things and sometimes run off down paths. I also repeat myself a lot and like to describe every movement a character makes which can bog down scenes.

I have so written myself into a corner and had to weasel my way out of it hahaha This is why I am trying to talk about my stories more to friends so I DON'T do that again.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

I did this a bit but I don’t anymore. It’s just too much mental work for me.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

Yugioh.

20. Favorite fic you’ve written?

I think Black Sweatshirt, my current ageswap fic, will be my fav. It’s the most expansive writing I have done probably ever in my life. There are multiple plot lines, scenes that have already made me cry, and an ending that I just cannot wait to share with the world. I hope others enjoy it as much as I do, and I can deliver on this story.

The other one is a series called Safe Space which is a series of one-off stories touching on different emotions Shigeo has to process post-canon. Exploring the gray areas of forgiveness, confessions, grudges, anger, and love. I think I will be writing that on the side as I do other things but I love it to pieces. It means a lot to me and i hope to one day share it.
