I'm obsessive over my Constantine Jr Au (which still needs a fic name for, I'm open to suggestions) because

this is a cranky danny. he's spent years fighting with no end in sight, with parents who he can't trust and his only companions never truly understanding what he's going through.

he vapes CBD for the pain he's constantly in. he drank alco/hol once to help him sleep, but his parents smelt it on his breath and, just like with their research, took that to believe EVERYTHING they'd ever suspected about danny to be true: that he drinks, he does dru/gs, he's in a gang. the only thing they've never suspected their son of--being a ghost--is the one thing he actually does.

then, right on the cusp of eighteen and freedom, he gets outed. AND transformed into a seven-year-old.

this is not a danny who is willing to play at being a child. and if anyone tries to, they're in for a foul time.

Danny was 17, transformed into a 7 year old and hides in Bludhaven, and is 8 when the police finally figure out that, hey, this weird kid who keeps altering us to crime scenes is usually right on the money about who the killer is, we should investigate that. Officer Grayson is on the case!

And discovers that he absolutely can't STAND this kid.

He thought he liked kids! Everyone thought he liked kids! but this kid...

This isn't called the Constantine Jr AU because Danny is a supernatural detective, or because Danny might be Constantine's kid. Its because Danny is an unrepentant little bas/tard and he makes it everyone's problem.

Danny vapes and blows bubblegum smoke in Grayson's face.

He takes out a flask and Grayson's grabs it, learning its full of orange juice. Danny then takes out a second flask, this one with vod/ka.

He wears a trenchcoat he found in the trash (the same trenchcoat Nightwing wears in DC vs Vampires, if you know you know) but the end and the sleeves are cut off for his hands and legs. the pockets are roughly around his knees.

Grayson is desperate to figure out more about this kid, but he doesn't go to batman because, time-line wise, this is right before red hood starts running around. Jason is dead/alive-in-hiding, Tim is Robin, and Dick is mad about it. (ages-- Bruce: ? Nightwing: 24 Jason: 19 Tim: 15 Danny: 8 Damien: 7-8)

he doesn't really bond with the kid until they're both kidnapped by a gang for hostages, and Danny's big kid emotions get a hold of him (he thought he could escape them bc he's an adult, he's gone through worse, but nope! child brain chemistry). Grayson is worried that he's hurt and in pain, but Danny confesses that he's always in pain. he has nerve damage all over his body, and the only thing he really trusts is CBD. He feels like shit for taking his juul away, but more importantly, because he's been treating Danny like a irritant and just a little kid.

they get rescued and Grayson tries to take him back to his home, but Danny reveals he's homeless, saying something like "I sleep where it suits me, just drop me off whereever."

Absolutely not, Grayson is taking kid back to his place for a bed, food, and a shower, in whatever order the kid wants.

Danny stays semi-perminantly at his apartment, but Nightwing tries not to push it, because this kid practically screams flight risk. unfortunately, the paparazzi have nothing better to do and snap a pick of Grayson and Danny getting dinner together, speculating that Dick's taken after Bruce

Danny doesn't care too much; I think his ghost form is the same, if glitchy, so his parents don't know about the deaging. Grayson is mildly panicking, but its not like he HASN'T been considering adopting the evil troglodyte. Even Bruce, Tim, and Alfred aren't the problem.

No, the problem is the Red Hood, a crime boss who just cut 8 people's heads off, seeing what looks like Nightwing pulling an innocent kid into the neverending fight against crime and Seeing Green.

Has there ever been an episode of Star Trek where the whole crew is deaged? Please tell me if there is but if there isn't then that's a serious missed opportunity.

I cannot emphasise enough how amusing the idea is to me.

It could work with any series but lets go with the Original.

Just... I don't know which is more amusing. The whole crew being turned into small children and retaining their memories or the whole crew being turned into small children and just actually being children.

Because the former introduces the amusing image of tiny crewmembers attempting to do their jobs but being frsutrated because everything is too big now, resulting in crewmembers having to piggyback each other to reach their stations, sometimes recruiting an additional piggybacker to reach the faraway buttons.

And the latter is just too cute. Spock is very confused, Kirk is delighted to be on a starship, McCoy is terrified for that same reason and also adorably Southern and polite. Not sure if Chekov would be the same 'age' as everyone else because I really like the image of them all being six or seven and Chekov is a tiny Russian toddler being very cute.

If hostile aliens attack the latter could also turn into Star Trek's version of Home Alone which would be great because whoever attacks will be defeated by very small children and never live it down. Or will be convinced that Humans are so fucking dangerous that they even let children man their vessels.

Cassiopea and Orion

Ellie had a plan. She promised she had one. This wasn't like when Clocky would sent her off on a mission through time with nothing more but a little note with a cryptic message on what to do.

Danny had given her clear instruction. Before one of her many travels to see the world, Danny, in his mid twenties and she in her late teens, had taken her aside once. Telling her about specific instruction she should follow, should she ever find herself in a moment of need, and Danny wasn't able to help her.

Well, now she was in that kind of situation. Amity Park was destroyed with no survivors. Vlads castle was no more. Both Dan and her got deaged, but Dan had to be put in a frozen state when he started to destabilize. And Danny, he had gotten captured by the GIW shoving her out of harms way and telling her to remember what he told her before.

Ellie was pretty sure Danny was telling her to follow the emergency instructions.

So here she was now. In Gotham. Keeping to the shadows and trying to find her way around.

No one ever bothered to tell her how hard it was to navigate through a city like Gotham. You would think it would be easy to find some guy running around at night in an armored spandex furry costume.

But no, here she was, in a random alley. In a city, Danny had specifically told her to avoid it unless the emergency instruction came into play. Maybe she should just steal a map.

She was contemplatingly staring at a gas station for that until she noticed a shadow jumping over the roof tops. It took her only a second to decide on her next action. Ellie was pressed on time after all.

"Hey you!" She shouted loudly flying up to follow that shadow. "Wait up!"

Thankfully, the shadow listened and stopped on the next rooftop toward her. She insanity noticed it tensing. Now, she noticed that the shadow was a kid. He looked small, and Ellie figured he was probably around 11 or 12.

"You are one of the Bees and Birds, right?" She questioned once she floated a bit closer. Also the kid tensed up.

"You mean Bats and Birds." The kid clicked his tongue at her, crossing their arms.

"Bees, Bats, who cares. My question is you know the big bad bee, right?" She waved the kid of, she had more pressing matter than getting their animals right. "I need to get a message to him."

The kid clicked their tongue once more, huffing and muttering something she couldn't hear. Probably talking to someone on a com. Either way, Ellie took his silence as a form of telling her to continue.

"Can you tell the big bad bee-" "Bat" "-the following?" She ignored the kid cutting in trying to get her message across and follow Danny's instructions to a T.

"Cassiopea is calling out to Orions Nursery before Rho dies to help her youngest."

There was long, drawn-out silence, and the kid was hissing something into coms. Ellie fidget with her finger nervously. Going through Danny's emergency instructions through her mind again until she hear a thud close to her and wirled around.

With wide blue glowing eyes, she looked up at the man dressed like a bat for a couple of seconds before taking on a defensive position. Eyes now narrowed at the man that was clearly studying her.

"I was under the impression that Phantom's youngest child was older. You appear to be no older than five."

"Yea well shit happened!" She shot back, still unsure if she could trust the man even if he mentioned Danny's hero alias. Her hands started to glow slightly as she prepared to attack in case things went back. But the man didn't appear to be phased by it. Not like the kid that was tensing up.

"You will be safe with us. But what happened to Phantom?"

Ellie eyes flicked over to the other kid that had now come closer to stand next to the bat guy before looking back to the big guy. She did not drop her stance yet. Still unsure of how much trust she can put here despite what Danny had told her, she had not yet heard the right response.

The man appeared to sense her distrust, as he kneeled to be on eye level with her. "Jupiter and Rho Cas will not be harmed. Orion gave Cassiopea his word."

Finally, Ellie relaxed, dropping her defensive stance but still watching the man with narrowed eyes. She hesitated a short moment before carefully saying her next words, hoping the man knew enough to k ow the grave meaning behind them.

"Phantom lost his haunt."

Have a tiny bit of small Max being smaller! More of this verse found here. Jumps somewhere a bit different in the verse, just an excuse for a hug tbh.

Max has been seven years old for two months.

Daniel's got used to it. They have a routine, because Max likes routine, and it turns out Daniel's also feeling happier now that he has a reason to eat three meals a day and go to bed at a reasonable time and wake up to Max peering at him from the end of the bed, flag book in hand. He's got used to the Jimmy or Sassy cats following him around and watching him go to the toilet or get dressed, because of course Max's cats are the perviest cats.

He's got used to a lot of things. He's got used to putting Max first.

He's definitely got used to the Guardianship papers that legally bind him to Max until Max is an adult again.

But he hasn't got used to waking up to the sound of Max crying. It's rarer now than when Max first came to stay, but it's a sometimes rather than a never. And tonight it's worse, because the noise that wakes him up is a scared, high pitched cry that Daniel knows instinctively is Max even if it doesn't sound like his normal tears. Because when Daniel walks into Max's bedroom— because he has a bedroom now, with pictures on the wall and his toys and a labelled drawer that Daniel isn't allowed to go in where Max keeps his special things — it's not a seven year old Max that's crying up at him.

This Max is smaller, is small-small, is a fucking toddler. He's all twisted up in his Pikachu sheets, the doona half off the bed, and his too-big pyjamas are hanging off him. He's little. He's got younger.

Daniel, terrifyingly, doesn't know if Max will know him, or if he'll be a grown up stranger in the middle of the night.

"Maxy-Max," he says softly. "Are you okay?"

This tiny, toddler version of Max has flushed red cheeks and tears everywhere and snot. He sees Daniel and immediately holds his hands out, and Daniel, overcome with relief, sinks down on the bed and lets Max scramble into his lap and into his arms. Daniel hugs him.

"Danny, Danny, Danny," Max says, hiccoughing through his tears. Daniel is normally Daniel to Max. Danny is for goodnight hugs and middle of the night tears. Max clings to him.

Daniel reaches for Max's favourite Pikachu toy, a little well-loved in places, caught under the pillow and half off the bed. "Were you missing Pikachu, Max?"

Max tucks Pikachu into the tiny little gap between him and Daniel's chest. He rubs his face on Daniel's t-shirt. He snuggles closer, hugging Pikachu. He stuffs his thumb in his mouth, looking up at Daniel like he knows Daniel's going to make him stop sucking it. Daniel isn't. Max has already been through his childhood once. Daniel's not going to stop him doing a single thing that brings him comfort this time around. What the fuck does it matter, anyway? Nothing about this is normal. Going Small normally lasts a couple of days at most and has most kids aging upwards. Max has been seven for two months and now he's smaller. The universe doesn't tend to de-age beyond about seven, unless the kid is going to be a hundred percent safe at the other end of it. At least that's one good thing about this: the universe knows Max is safe with him. This little Max toddler, sleepy and tear-stained, who knows and loves Daniel and is holding on to him tight.

Daniel kisses the top of Max's head, and snuggles him closer. He's probably two-ish. It doesn't matter, though. His crying's lessened. He's tucked into Daniel's chest. He's already going back to sleep, cheek pressed to Daniel's shirt.

"Love you, Maxy-Max," Daniel tells him. His hand strokes Max's back.

Max falls asleep between one breath and the next, clinging to both Daniel and Pikachu. In the morning, if they wake up and Max is still tiny, Daniel will pay extra for a one hour delivery window for a Go Small Toddler kit.

Daniel's clearly going nowhere tonight.

In his arms, baby Max snores.

A small surprise

written for @steddieholidaydrabbles prompt: came back wrong | rated: t | wc: 973 | cw: mentions of Steve having bad parents and diet culture | tags: deaged steve harrington Steve came back different after the final battle against the Upside Down. Nothing dangerous or violent, just a lot smaller.

The third morning of everyone sheltering at Steve's house in the aftermath of the final battle against Vecna, where they'd agreed to spend a week if anyone was unaccounted for after the fight. Steve was the only one missing, but as no one had seen a body, everyone refused to accept that he hadn't made it. Eddie walked into the living room to the strangest thing he'd ever seen. Most of the group were scattered around the various furniture, talking over each other as normal. The strange thing was Robin, stood off to the side holding a small child on her hip. A small child that had definitely not been around the night before when everyone had gone to bed.

"What the fuck is that?" He asked, unable to hold back his confusion.

"It's a baby." Dustin replied, his tone condescending as always.

"I know it's a fucking baby, what's it doing here?"

Then, a small mumbled reply came, distorted around the fingers in his mouth. "M not a baby."

"No, Stevie. You're not a baby, five is so much more grown up than a baby." Robin said softly, bouncing the kid- Steve- a little.

"Wait, that kid is Steve?" Eddie looked a little closer, and it was pretty obvious. The big brown eyes peeking up at him paired with the moles and beauty marks scattered across the kid's skin, there was no one else it could be. "How- What?"

"We're not sure yet. He showed up this morning like this. We're waiting for Owens to get here to check him out. El doesn't think that it's the Upside Down." Robin explained.

"Now we just have to figure out what we're going to do with him in the meantime." Nancy added, looking a little uncomfortable at the situation.

"Yeah, like clothes, food, diapers." Dustin started listing things off on his fingers.

"He doesn't need diapers, Dustin. He's five, not a baby." Mike cut in, sounding offended on Steve's behalf.

Somehow, in the wait for Owens, Eddie ended up assisting as the main babysitter. With Steve getting passed between him and Robin, depending on what needed doing at any specific time. Robin being pulled away as the most familiar with Steve's house to help search the attic and the basement for any boxes tucked away from Steve's childhood, a task that had been deemed too dangerous for Steve to be involved in. So Eddie had to try and entertain a five-year-old. Little Steve seemed fascinated by his long hair.

"And your mommy doesn't care that your hair is so long?" Steve asked, his face lit up in awe.

"That's the good thing about being a grown up. You don't have to listen to what your mommy and daddy tell you to do." Eddie replied, tickling at Steve's sides.

Steve squealed with laughter and squirmed away, looking a little confused. "But Daddy said I always have to listen to him, even after I've grown up. That he knows best."

Eddie's heart broke a little at that. This sweet, tiny boy next to him, believing that he would forever be under his dad's thumb. "Hey. You can do what you want. If he's not around, you don't have to listen to him. When you're older, you can live to be who you want to be. He won't be able to tell you what to do all the time. And if he tries, you'll be allowed to say no to him."

When Dr Owens got there, it was chaos. Everyone wanting to be involved, to give their input. Crowding around, making Steve pull away, clinging to both Eddie and Robin.

"Maybe, if we tried this in a more private room?" Dr Owens suggested, after several unsuccessful attempts to start examining Steve. "With less people around."

"Uh. Steve's bedroom, maybe?" Eddie suggested, "He's got a big ensuite, so there's space in there?"

"Yeah, and if it's just me and Eddie? The gremlins are too loud and obnoxious to be any help." Robin added, being met with protest from most of the kids.

After Owens had fully checked Steve over, during which Steve kept switching between wanting to be held by Eddie, or by Robin, they still didn't have many answers. Owens had done a number of tests and taken samples and told them that he would be in touch. And that all they could do in the meantime would be take care of Steve and keep him safe.

"After you being such a brave boy for the doctor, I think you deserve some ice cream." Robin said, carrying Steve towards the kitchen.

"Not allowed ice cream. Mommy says it makes you fat." Steve replied. "Gramma gave me some and Mommy yelled at her and won't let me see her any more."

"Well, Mommy's not here, so she doesn't have to know." Eddie said, faking a smile and ticking Steve's sides to hide how his heart was breaking even more.

Eddie sat Steve in his lap at the table while Robin filled a bowl with ice cream, topped with far too much chocolate sauce, whipped cream, and sprinkles. Steve went to town on it when it was set in front of him, shoveling it down faster than could be healthy.

"Hey, slow down. You don't want to make yourself sick." Robin warned.

Steve looked up at her with wide eyes.

"No one's going to take it from you, so you can eat it slower." Eddie added. Steve turned to him, and Eddie smiled at the chocolate sauce smudged across his nose. He didn't know how long it would take for Steve to get back to normal, but while Steve was small, he was determined to give him the childhood he deserved. And once Steve was big again, he would always make sure that Steve felt loved and cared for.

This 110% came from the "I know it's a fucking baby, what's it doing here?" sound on tiktok. And I just wanted to try a different version of came back wrong.

Stories I hope to write in 2024

Here are a few stories I want to write. Some are already WIPs, some are simply just ideas.

Kidnapped Eddie

Status: Just an idea

Inspired by Chenford (The Rookie), B&B (Bones), and Malex (Roswell, New Mexico). Buck going basically feral when Eddie gets kidnapped and he does everything in his power to get him back. Even if it meams going against the law.

Farm fic

Status: Partly written, might rewrite

The lawsuit doesn't go to plan and Buck ends up with more money than he's ever had. After making up with Bobby, he decides to leave town and search for something else that would make him just as happy as firefighting. With the money, he's able to start a farm where he and a few helps take care of and save animals who otherwise would've died or get slaughtered. He keeps in contact with Christopher by sending postcards and letters but Eddie hasn't forgiven him yet. A few years later, Christopher gets tired of it and runsaway, making the long trip to visit Buck’s farm. Buck has no choice but to call Eddie when Christopher shows up in the middle of the night. Then a storm strands Eddie and Christopher at Buck’s farm.

Fake dating fic

Status: just in my notes

Eddie needs a date when he gets invited to stay in El Paso for a wedding. His family is getting impatient with Eddie not having found a permanent partner yet. So, to avoid being set up with random girls and old friends, he asks Buck to tag along as his fake boyfriend. But they're too good at pretending and before he knows it, Abuela gives him his Abuelo's ring to propose 'when the time is right'.

Home is where I am with you

Status: just a note

Buck and Eddie have finally crossed the last line into a romantic relationship. But their honeymoon phase is shattered when Abuela gets sick. Scared to lose his last moments of her, Eddie has to move back with El Paso. Buck moves with him.

Being less

Status: just a note

Buck and Natalia break up during a fight where she tells him he's too much. After having heard it from many people, he's finally starting to believe it. So he pulls away, trying to he less. Eddie notices and tries his best to get Buck to see that he's not too much, but a perfect amount.

Yoga

Status: just a note

Buck is a yoga instructor. Eddie gets forced to go to yoga with his sister and ends up falling for the instructor. Suddenly he loves yoga.

Endearment fic

Status: note

The 118 finds out that Buck loves being called tearms of endearment - something he didn't get as a kid. So they end up using every cute word they can think of.

Of course, when Eddie does it, it's even more special.

Teacher Buck

Status: note

Buck is Christopher’s favorite teacher. But the year is nearly over, meaning Christopher won't see him as much after he changes grades. His brilliant solution? Setting up Mr. Buck with his father.

Stuck

Status: partly written

Buck and Bobby are stuck together. To pass the time, they talk about some stuff that should have been talked about earlier. Buck admits he wished Bobby was his father.

A/B/O

Status: slightly written

Buck has always been a Beta as far as he knows. But after mating with his Alpha boyfriend Eddie, his body starts acting strange, showing signs of things only Omega's can do.

While Los Angeles is a safe space where discrimination against Omega's is minimum, Buck still worries. Eddie has only dated Betas before, will he still love Buck when he figures out something is not right?

Sniper fic

Status: half written, might be rewritten

What if the sniper wasn't someone wanting revenge on the LAFD, but one firefighter specifically? When Eddie gets shot in front of him, Buck is forced to reveal secrets from his past to help solve the case who is hurting the people around him.

Part 2 to the unrequited love fic

Status: note

After Buck left Los Angeles, Eddie struggles to adapt. Nobody blames him, but he can still feel the absence of Buck in his life. Slowly his mind starts to catch up and Eddie realize that maybe Buck’s love isn't unrequited. So, he goes on a road trip to find Buck and ask for another chance and hopes that Buck hasn’t moved on in the months that have passed. But Buck’s life has changed.

Runing away

Status: just a note

After the lawsuit, things go back to normal. Mostly. While his inner circle have forgiven him, it's rough with the other firefighters. Buck decides he needs a break, or maybe a fresh start. So he goes back to his old Buckley ways and runsaway.

Bobby and Eddie team up to find him and show him that he is part of their family no matter what.

Bodyguard Eddie

Status: first chapter is written

Buck’s rise to fame was fast, but now his ex-brother-in-law has turned into a public enemy after hiding in the dark. Buck refuses to give up on his world tour, so his manager Bobby hires someone he served in Afghanistan with: Eddie. It's Eddie’s first gig as a bodyguard, but he takes it seriously and tries not to be charmed by the clumsy yet wise singer-songwriter as they travel all over the world.

Superhero AU

Status: has been in my notes forever

Buck is a superhero, having gotten powers after a lightning strike when he was in his early twenties. Now, having built a team of people he can trust, he's up against a new threat.

Eddie isn't a villain. He's just a grieving husband and father. After his ex-wife gets killed and his son taken, he does everything in his power to find them. Even if he loses parts of his soul along the way. But the town's superhero is determined to stop him.

Que Evan Buckley. A man haunted by a tragic childhood, helping families to get even a little bit of a hint what it feels like to be a part of one. But the Diazes are different. He really becomes part of the family and something is growing between him and Eddie.

After moving to Los Angeles, Eddie starts working at his Tio's car shop. There he meets firefighter Buckley, a man with a shitty Jeep that seems to always be broken, but the man refuses to give it up, which causes Buck to be the most frequent customer. At least, Eddie thinks, he's easy on the eyes and nice to talk to.

Izzy & Crew — De-aging + angst and past abuse

(Potential underage, noncon.)

Izzy was abused (physically, sexually, emotionally, any or all, whatever stripe of angst you prefer) as a young cabin boy, but he's done his best to pretend it all never happened.

No one's ever found.

Until Izzy gets magically de-aged and only has his kid self's memories, and he's so obviously skittish and expecting the worst from everyone that it doesn't take long for the crew to put the pieces together. Cue comfort, righteous fury, etc., plus the weirdness of having to figure out how to handle it once the de-aging wears off.

Ensemble — De-aged!AU

I'd like to see what the dynamics would be like if all (or a few) of the survivors were (a lot) younger than in the series.

For example, Shane, Rick and Lori could be in their very early 20s, Andrea, Daryl and T-Dog could be (super badass) 16-18 year-olds... Glenn could stay the same age, same with some of the other characters, like the Greenes. Obviously if you de-aged Rick and Lori, Carl wouldn't be born...

Basically, I just want to see what would be different, and what would be the same if some (or all) the characters were de-aged (like their handling of the ZA. If they fair the same or worse... whether Rick would still be the de facto leader, or if someone older (perhaps Dale?) would take over).

Pairings are optional, but if you want, I don't mind Rick/Shane, Andrea/Daryl, Andrea/Shane or Rick/Glenn (as long as they're 18+).

It's hard to ignore your past — and impossible to do so when you can't remember your future. But a meddlesome portrait, a dragon with an ancient grudge and true love's kiss teach an unlikely Prince that a regrettable past doesn't have to mean an unhappy ending.

This is one of my favorite fics. I don't generally care for de-aging fics, but this one is exactly what I would hope for. Lots of cute, awkward teenage romance. I love seeing how distrustful and angsty teenage Severus is. And how sweet and dorky Harry is!
