Ensemble — De-aged!AU
I'd like to see what the dynamics would be like if all (or a few) of the survivors were (a lot) younger than in the series.
For example, Shane, Rick and Lori could be in their very early 20s, Andrea, Daryl and T-Dog could be (super badass) 16-18 year-olds... Glenn could stay the same age, same with some of the other characters, like the Greenes. Obviously if you de-aged Rick and Lori, Carl wouldn't be born...
Basically, I just want to see what would be different, and what would be the same if some (or all) the characters were de-aged (like their handling of the ZA. If they fair the same or worse... whether Rick would still be the de facto leader, or if someone older (perhaps Dale?) would take over).
Pairings are optional, but if you want, I don't mind Rick/Shane, Andrea/Daryl, Andrea/Shane or Rick/Glenn (as long as they're 18+).

APOSTLE (2018) Grade: C-
Could've been better. The script was muddled with too much getting explain in a short time. A lot was happening. Wasn't a horror, more like a fantasy thriller.

WIP Whenever
I thought I posted this a few days ago, but I apparently forgot. Woops. 😅 I pushed all of my fics back for a week so I could take a little break, get myself reorganized, and make sure my plots were headed where I wanted them to (in regards to 25DCC especially.) Plus, I finally got a chance to start RDR1, and it's been amazing!
Anyway, here is the tentative list of what I'm working on for the next week or so. Everything is listed by planned date of publication. :)
2/15/24 - "Ruffling A Few Feathers" - Arthur has fun teasing Catboy!Micah using a treasure found during his travels. But as with everything in his life, there are unintended consequences.
2/16/24 - 25DCC, Ch.12 - "Tucking Them In" - 1910. Kieran comes home to Mary-Beth and their children after a long journey.
2/17/24 - Whumpcember Day 12 - "Touch-Starved" - Karen Jones grieves Sean's passing once the dust finally settles after the Braithwaite raid. H/C feat. Arthur Morgan.
2/20/24 - 25DCC, Ch. 13 - "Getting Anxious for Christmas" - 1910. John and Abigail receive a letter from Dutch and Hosea, and John makes a trip to Lone Wolf Stead to share it with his brothers. Once there he finds Arthur sick and being a terrible patient, and steps in to help before Charles finally decides to murder his husband.
2/21/24 - Whumpcember Day 13 - "Restraints" + Alt "Collapse" - The boys free Sean from Ike Skelding's band of bounty hunters. Unfortunately, he's in a little rougher shape than they thought.

Wayne Cooper, Indian Code Talkers, 2000. Oil on canvas. - The painting depicts code talker Charles Chibitty (Comanche) after landing at Utah Beach during World War II.
During World Wars I and II, hundreds of Native American servicemen from more than twenty tribes used their Indigenous languages to send secret, coded messages enemies could never break. Known as code talkers, these men helped U.S. forces achieve military victory in some of the greatest battles of the twentieth century.

Pfc. Preston Toledo and Pfc. Frank Toledo, Navajo cousins in a Marine artillery regiment in the South Pacific, relay orders over a field radio in their native tongue.
They were present at many important battles, including at Utah Beach during the D-Day invasion in France, and at Iwo Jima in the Pacific. In fact, 5th Marine Division signal officer Major Howard Connor stated, “Were it not for the Navajos, the Marines would never have taken Iwo Jima.”

WIP Wednesday
Alright, I think I've finally worked out a WIP/publishing schedule I like a little bit more. (Or it's more realistic, at least.)
Here's what I'm working on now, and what I've got planned for the rest of January. (I've got fics on the list from now until almost the end of the year, but I don't want to put out that big of a list just yet.) Everything is listed by planned date of publication. :)
1/24/24 - 25DCC, Ch. 11 - "Going Ice Skating" - 1885, young John, Arthur, Dutch, and Hosea having a (mostly) fun day out on the ice.
1/25/24 - Whumpcember Day 11 - "Infection" - Micah Bell H/C feat. Simon Pearson, Susan Grimshaw, and Orville Swanson. "Tiny tree, big splinter, HUGE problem."
1/27/24 - "They Shoot Horses, Don't They?" - Baylock whump w/ Kieran Duffy + Micah Bell friendship
1/28/24 - 25DCC Ch. 12 - "Tucking Them In" - 1910, Kieran and MaryBeth Duffy tell their children a bedtime story, which may or may not have its roots in true events.
1/29/24 - Whumpcember Day 12 - "Touch-Starved" - Karen Jones grieves Sean's passing once the dust finally settles after the Braithwaite raid. H/C feat. Arthur Morgan.
