can we talk about how smart Steve actually is. like… putting the pieces together in the mall based off of connecting sound melodies. using himself as a distraction time and time again so the Party/kids don’t get caught in the crossfire.

I feel like at some point the writing behind his character focused on the “unintelligent” side of himbo w/free reign for everyone else to make fun of him

snippet from my stave has powers au part 1 | part 2 pov: Kali | wc: 277

Kali couldn't help thinking back to the last time she'd seen Seven.

He'd been taken out from the lab, out into public some distance away, so he could practice with more people. Apparently, his powers had stagnated with only having a limited number of people to work with. He needed to see and be around more people to perfect it. She remembered being jealous, knowing that being allowed out of the lab was something unheard of, and knowing that it would be the best chance to escape.  

Her jealousy did spill over into some cruelty the day before, using her powers to give him visions of everything she knew he was scared of. Spiders. Rats. That one creepy orderly. Papa's anger and disappointment. The closet.

The last morning, she only briefly saw Seven before he left. Dressed mostly the same as normal in the gray sweatshirt and pants, but with the addition of shoes and a jacket. Walking down the hall with two of the doctors, who she guessed were the ones taking him out.

They all felt Papa's anger when the doctors returned without Seven. He was harsher on everyone than he normally would be, handing out punishments for the tiniest step out of line. The doctors were never seen again, and they were told that Seven was very sick and in hospital. But Kali knew better, they all knew better. One of two things would have happened. Either Seven had managed to escape from the doctors while on the outside, or he had died that day.Kali always held out hope that it was an escape, and that they would find each other again someday.

Top 5 fandoms you were/are a part of

1- fullmetal alchemist. its my favourite manga and anime. and this guy i grew up with was also a fan so we would just constantly send each other memes about it.

2- supernatural. i never watched past s8, but i loved being a part of the fandom. it was so unhinged, i loved it.

3-stranger things. there are definitely highs and lows, especially when watching the discourse. But this is the only fandom I am currently active in, and i love the little community.

4- simonverse/ love, simon. the books were my comfort books for several years. and i cried when I saw love, simon in the cinema. because of all the different groups of people there, i was there as a queer 20yo by myself, but there were parents with their kids, groups of teen boys and teen girls, grandparents with grandkids. and i live in a very tory town, so it felt so good to see that, different types of people coming together to watch a queer love story. i love the story and i have written and posted fic for it in the past, and i am constantly checking ao3 for any new fics.

5- high school musical. it was one of my early fandoms, and i was obsessed. its the first time i shipped something, and thought i want these two characters to be together. chad/ryan, there is no straight explanation for the I Don't Dance scene. and it is a ship i still look on ao3 for. and i have the DVD box set and love going back to rewatch the movies.

Top 5 fics you've read last month

I'll be honest, I haven't been reading as much fic lately. But my favourites have been:

1- Pretend Everything is Normal by procrastinate_always. It's an ongoing fic and I read every update as soon as I get the notification for it. I am a sucker for experiment Steve fics and this has one of the best executions.

2- here you come again by cranberrymoons. I've been on a huge Stommy kick recently and this was amazing. Post canon reconnecting and getting together

3- (Don't) Hold Your Breath by a_lil_a_lot. Again, on a huge Stommy kick. no upside down au, set post s3 equivalent. I love how it is mostly set in '85, but jumps back to times Steve and Tommy had shared in the past

4- Both sides, now by fortunatelygone. Its a Marmalade Baron/Otis fic. I love it. Marmalade is an incredible movie, and this fic works really well for post-canon.

5- you swallow my heart and flee by genesisofrhythm. Steve and Carol reconciliation from Carols POV. drops between times when they were friends, to when they weren't friends, to them beginning to reconcile. its incredible

1- toast with peanut butter

2-ritz crackers sandwiched together with nutella

3-party ring biscuits. its just something about the crunchy icing.

4- dry cereal. any cereal i like i will eat dry by the handful.

5- frozen frubes. or any tube yoghurt. its basically a yoghurt icepop and is amazing in the summer

1- my ability to pick up creative hobbies- i can teach myself new hobbies pretty quickly without a lot of effort. i think its the adhd audacity of seeing something and thinking 'i can do that'. it also bleeds over into diy.

2- the random knowledge that would be no use outside a quiz show. i get to drop the most random facts that leave my family asking why i know it

3- my hair. its currently at a partially grown out buzz cut. i love how i look with really short hair. im between keeping it my current length and shaving it off again

4- im pretty good at problem solving and troubleshooting. i do most of the tech troubleshooting in my house and i have for over a decade. and i took one of my sewing machines apart to troubleshoot it and managed to fix it. meaning i didn't have to spend a stupid amount of money on getting it serviced and repaired

5- my smile. especially when im wearing bright red lipstick. I've always been happy with how my teeth look, and i feel that my smile just looks good.

okay, that was harder than i thought it would be to figure out what i like about myself. i get caught up in stuff i struggle with like chronic illness and pain which sometimes makes it hard to find things i like about myself.

my most unpopular stranger things related but not stranger things exclusive opinion is that i am very bored with how almost every story that has paranormal or scifi elements eventually evolves into a story about stopping the end of the world. and i do know that apocalypse media has its enjoyers however i am not one of them and i very rarely choose to consume it so you see why it would exhaust me that so often all my horror shows and podcasts turn into an apocalypse thing

Sometimes I feel like I post too much and then I see other people with indicators in their bio as to whether they’ve hit post limit when I have literally never once hit post limit and I’m like alright. I’m probably good I think
